"Welcome back in to the jesus mc sports podcast. I'm your host noah dunlap and so far on the show. Today we've talked conor mcgregor in his fight saturday night at ufc one sixty four in which he lost due to a broken ankle slash potentially broken leg to dust and pouria. We've talked nba finals. Action milwaukee cutting the series deficit to one With game for in milwaukee coming up tomorrow night and we talked major league bat Major league baseball draft coverage been underscored due to the nba finals sunday night. And then the home run derby last night to go along with the all star later tonight so the draft has of gone under the radar for a lot of people but talked some of the big picks some of the big surprises and some of just the bigger story lines so far from the major league baseball draft and now to wrap up the show. I wanna talk a little bit about this. kansas story. The university of kansas finds itself in some sticky situations due to A report that came out about well from one of their players football player former player played under les miles at kansas and he is now come out in a report to the kansas city star about an incident. One incident that happened while he was with kansas. His name is caperton humphry Said he got into a fight with teammates in the locker room at one point. Apparently the few got bad enough that at a later point they stormed into his apartment and basically threatened his family. said he ended up telling officials at kansas. A quote confidential settlement was reached. Humphry also came out and said that he had an argument with a pair of targets and the next day he supposedly discovered someone had loosened some lug nuts on his tire so he apparently decided to file a police report at that point. The this is all according to a article on saturday down south so bear with me just a little bit here. The final resolution that was reached from kansas was that their athletic department was going to pay him more than fifty thousand dollars in benefits to go home after he reported threats and d- harassment from his teammates. Miles apparently met with caperton and some other guys involved trying to get the situation settled. It did not get settled. Both sides apparently refused to basically apologize. Less miles then decided that he wanted to settle it on the field in drills letting these guys go head to head that apparently also never happened because humphrey decided that he was just going to bail out of the program completely Once he heard me new idea from less miles about full-contact drills and practice quote this is a quote from humphrey himself from caperton. Quote came out of that meeting. And i was like forget this. They don't want to talk to my family. They don't wanna do anything to help me. Why sit in this misery and fear for my life over something dumb in quote a few weeks after that caperton left the program and drove back home to west virginia. So that's the recap of this story. Now i just wanna talk a little bit about the madness. That is everything involved with this story. Completely number one. Let's just go with the idea that this feud managed to get so bad that you had guys basically storming into your apartment and threatening your family and then you had a apparently another separate feud potentially with some other guys which led to lug nuts on your tires getting loosened. Either we're dealing with major major major basically criminals on this kansas football team or a different route here that i would potentially throw out there maybe. This caperton humphry guy. Just isn't eight good guy. Maybe he's a guy who just a tracks ill-will and attracts people does not seem like a likable person at all because they're certainly seems to be a lot of people out there in lawrence kansas on this football team at least that year. That did not like him. That could not get along with him. That's number one the throw out here. The idea that you had separate incidents that ended up with some major call it almost repercussion. type things So that's number one number two d. Kansas athletic department basically giving you fifty thousand dollars in benefits to go home. Well boys and girls. I'm sorry to tell you. Dnc aa is not going to fly with that one if they can verify that report. This is not going to be a good look for kansas by any means because well while the nfl stuff the name image. Likeness stuff has started. And all you know. D- madness has just begun in terms of college. Athletics money coming from the university. Athletic department in terms of benefits that ain't covered with the nato rules so if that gets verified. Kansas is going to be in some major trouble with the nc. Aa with that and then the fact that les miles tried to calm down and there are a lot of people who are going to complain about less miles in this situation. I thought he did everything. According to this report pretty well from his standpoint as the football coach himself which less miles answer was. Okay you bring in the two sides you try to calm it down that way. Try to get the two sides to basically agree come to some type of like agreement solution. Apologize and just move on from it. Neither side would do it. So less. Miles did what i think. Virtually any football coach would do. He said y'all don't wanna deal with it here. We can deal with it on the field pads on full-contact drills in caperton humphrey decided to just bail out and say no which takes me back to my original number one statement. Here of this just doesn't seem likable. You seem like a child number one. No one gets along with you. And maybe that's on you one.

Long the former arkansas. ad Made the call on less miles and after what can only be described as as a disastrous press conference yesterday was shown the door today according to multiple media reports so that is where we are this hour. Let's get back to your calls at eight five five two four two seven two eight five and dane is up next in baton. Rouge hello dane. Good afternoon let me try this. One again Dany there paul. how are you doing. Hey they're good afternoon So i i heard Somebody call in talking about pulmonary right. She and i really wanted to give my take on that one i think what people need to realise. i'm not like a typical lsu baseball fan because a lot of people down here really want pulmonary gone Personal they need to understand. That baseball is just a different sport. My opinion and Also you have to. I mean first of all seasons. It's a little early in the season still and And you have next season Next season's also really great recruiting class coming in. So i think even pay. Can you explain to me now. I realize i live in baton rouge there occasionally and i know i hear the criticism and even acknowledged it last time. I sat down with him. But what what do they have against this guy. I mean they hold really high standards here for lsu baseball and of course if you're not winning national championship I mean they want you gone and the last time. They won a national championship. He was oh nine but the last time he was in Runner up was twenty. Seventeen years florida greer's ago. yeah so i mean in in right now i. It's kind of been down down year for the last few years and And last year. I really believe pulmonary. In the lsu. Tigers got bailed out whenever the season got cancelled with this pandemic 'cause it was not a good start at all But i mean make sure you have a really good recruiting class coming in potentially better than this one. They have right now And i i just think that even if lsu didn't do well this year you know. I think i really believe that they'd still give paul another chance and also I don't know if you're familiar with tiger droppings i've heard but There's a former player. Chris read any shoe fan. Those who that is. Apparently he was on their kind of had a secret account and he came out Acknowledged to he was and and he said something about Pulmonary not leaving until his contract runs out I don't know how true that is. But i mean that's also a good point. That's coming up. I think in the next four maybe five years so i think people just need to relax and remember that Pulmonary is in my opinion. One of the best coaches in college baseball. You know and i think what you have to also understand. I know. I know every program wants to win. But he's in the toughest baseball conference in the world. I think the first five teams. I five spots in the latest poll. We're all sec team. So i i'm all for having high standards but that is ridiculously high. Thank you for the update. Appreciate it graham. South carolina is on the air. Go right ahead shape all the going graham. We're doing good question How do you feel about the shame. Beamer higher and Here in columbia and how long it will take for him to turn our program around after will leave him at like he did. I really like it. I think he's. He's a fantastic higher. And i like everything that he stands for. Do i think it will be a quick turnaround. No because it takes enormously great recruiting to make inroads in the sec. And you know. He's playing in a pretty tough neighborhood. Right now gotcha gotcha. Yeah i mean. I i got faith any. I think it's going to be a long long road ahead. But i think we can get through it. So why don't have any doubt about that. But but i. I think this is going to take more than a year or two to start building the infrastructure and the foundation. I mean muschamp. Never could quite finish the job. He he had potential. He had he had certain capabilities. But it i never. I've never understood. We'll muschamp i thought He had all the ingredients. They successful football coach and twice. Now it didn't work. Thank you very much for the call. Let's check in with patrick who is on the air from georgia. Hey patrick how are you sir quite well thank you good. I just wanted to give a quick call long. "The bigger question becomes what happens going forward. What are they looking at. In terms of probation. What are they looking looking at in terms of recruiting restrictions collars scholarship reductions and and this is really the big one this is what would remember all those years later what are are they looking at as it pertains to their head coach because bill self is. I believe one of five active hall of fame coaches in College basketball right now and he has been accused of some pretty heavy stuff and in the way it can put a show because on him the NCAA Kim suspend him for it in a not insignificant amount of time. If you are charged with the level one violation and bill has been charged with a level one violation. You're at risk of suspension of up to a year based on one level one violation so to me the big question. Shen becomes not what it does to K- US past. What does it do to bill selves reputation? What does it do to bill sales future as this. Is the mark on selves reputation. You're not going to be able to put all the toothpaste back in the tube here and there's let's come on. I mean there's there's no way that Kansas and self alf aren't significantly hit with sanctions going forward the first of many I'll also I'll point out that when I was in court when gas was under oath he he testified to paying the families of Billy Preston Silvio Susa Dennis Smith Junior. NC state already Deandra Eytan and Brian Bowen junior so that's just the start guests. Nola is a key figure in the double as case here against Kansas Kansas and it is so fascinating to me that the government used guests Nola to help pay Kansas as a victim to which Kansas then and said you see where the victim this. Oh by the way we're GONNA go re sign a hundred million dollar deal with Adidas shortly thereafter to complete farce ars whatever and now they're by the way the NC double. A. Has Basically said what we all said while the federal government was doing what it was doing which is get out of our face. Kansas is not a victim here. It's why it was so laughable. When the the federal government argued that the reason these adidas reps needed needed to be convicted and go to prison is in some cases is because they defaulted Kansas has taken a much more common sense approach to this this particular subject instead. Kansas was not a victim that is that's. That's a stupid thing to allege of course listen people can lob their criticisms against the Chevrolet understand understand all that but the people in charge that are at the enforcement level particularly as of late the newer hires if you will in addition to those on the committee infractions as many of whom have real tough legal backgrounds. They're not idiots they understand what's what's happened here and the true function that Gas Nola had adidas and how he was a how he was user willingly wasn't agent of nefarious recruitment for the likes of Adidas amongst others. You've got gas nola apologizing on on text message text messages that was captured by the by the answer. Louis wishes by the FBI about having regrets over not being able to deliver De'andre aiden and to Kansas so it's not you're not even reading the tea leaves are all very very obvious here and it doesn't matter that gasol testified that he he conspired with Jim Ghetto Code and Christian doctrines which he did testify to this to conceal the payments from the schools and the ended up the ablaze view on this is is no way no how we know how the game works here and we're GonNa hit you for this and we're GonNa Label. You're going to be labeled as a booster and that's how we're GonNa get ya now. I Know Kansas fans also have some some pushback on the instability here because Billy Preston whose mother was paid ninety thousand bucks ninety thousand dollars beginning Wingas wingas Nola goes to a hotel room during Kansas has midnight madness a few years back and says. I'm running this recruitment now. You're going to be getting the money through me. Kansas ultimately ultimately never plays Preston so in terms of eligibility standpoint. I know Kansas fans are hoping that the school doesn't really have to deal too much with that. That's not going to be the case yeah. They didn't play him but the doubling knows what it's up against when it comes to trying to mete out punishments for all of these schools and programs and it knows that it has been just killed over the years for not bringing harsh punishments to high profile coaches and programs programs you can't convince me that that is not a factor here in an not an insignificant factor parish in the in the greater scope scope of all of these schools and all of these cases. It's why from the start to me. Arizona Kansas and L. and Louisville have been the three most interesting schools for very different reasons but yeah I mean. When do you think do you agree with me. Perish that Kansas this year will run parallel to Arizona last year by that I mean it'll just play out at season with this as a as a storyline. I'm kind of going over or alongside of whatever happens on the court but nothing really is going to happen this year and for those that are kind of like okay bill self going to get suspended as Kansas going to face. It's a potential postseason ban like all that stuff. You know if you're if you're thinking that's going to happen. Would you agree that we're looking at like at least mid. Spring Twenty twenty until we know anything anything more on this in terms of what what the end simply wants to try and hit Kansas with yeah I mean really all you gotTa do is look at the calendar and understand the timetable and you can reasonably conclude include that unless Kansas decides to self impose penalties and you know based on the statements Kansas has released. They have no interest in that whatsoever. They're gonNA fight fight fight they. They're gonNA argue two different things essentially and I should point out. This is more complicated than than when I say in simple terms I I'm I'm by definition. I'm trying to put it in simple terms. It's a it's a very complex situation but Kansas is. GonNa essentially argue two things a the adidas reps are not boosters they ah you know they. They do not represent our athletics interest. They worked for a shoe apparel company and be We already have the main adidas consultant consultant who was operating outside of the instable a rule book. We have him testifying under oath that our staff knew nothing about it and so if you want to try to argue we should then make that argument but do not argue that we did because we didn't and so once they've decided that's going to be the argument argument the defense they're conceding nothing again very different situations but the same way North Carolina with the incident on the academics scandal that they would not call an academic scandal the same way. North Carolina conceded almost nothing. Kansas is going to concede almost nothing I think so they're not going to self impose any penalties and so yeah I do agree with you. whatever is going to happen will have no impact on the two thousand nineteen twenty season as it relates to Kansas the players who were on the roster are going to play the coaches are on the staff or going to coach this is going to be something that impacts future seasons possibly and I do think something that will reasonably hinder bill and his staff's staffs approach to recruiting like they're gonNA have recruiting problems because every staff at America Kansas going heads up with Kentucky Kansas is going heads heads up with North Carolina Kansas is going heads up with Indiana. Kansas going heads up with any you know other power in college basketball. Those staffs are going going to hit prospects with this. Hey listen. I don't feel houses. Amazing Kansas is great. I Love Bill South but you look like a one player and you really want to Kansas your one year in college and they don't get hit with a postseason ban soon as the rules on this stuff. You're only going to spend one year in college. We never going to have the opportunity to plan instantly tournament. Is that what you want to risk or. Do you want to take any of these other great options where you're not at risk of that it will impact recruiting immediately elite but will it impact the two thousand nineteen twenty Kansas Jayhawks. No I don't think so there are five level one allegations that have been put against Kansas here that that's also I think can be overstated. It's the number of them. The university has been hit with a lack of institutional control and that's in part because the football program has been hit with level two violations which is sort of sort of a funny afterthought amid all this stuff. There's less miles is trying to make Kansas football onto thing. His predecessor has somehow got the football program involved in this and it's involvement has potential serious consequences for the Kansas Athletic Department to have the lack of institutional control because you are going to more than one actual department their parish what do you I think ultimately will be the punishment. That self gets teeth. There's there's talk about a season long. Show 'cause or suspension suspension. Do you think it's to that point. Do you think it's something short of that. Say you know nine Games fifteen games but for self in particular I know we have a long way way to go here but as we sit here today and people are GonNa want this analysis and want sort of a big picture forecast and prediction to you not necessarily what you think is fair but what so you think the incidentally ultimately decides upon when it when it puts a puts self against the wall. What do you think the the suspension link will be well. I'll answer that momentarily but I real quick. Check these things. Do you love blindsides. "Those are the accepted facts of this case, and they'll k- this is in reached that the won't let us a player who is only there because it's guardian was paid to send him there. I mean, am I the only one that thinks that's the funniest thing ever norlander? Please explain to me how anybody at Kansas with a straight face can say they should be able to use a player. The instable has determined is only at Kansas because his guardian was paid to send him to canvass. The reason why Kansas is reacting this way is because from what we understand certain agreements on facts and circumstances with the case had to be made by most both sides in order for the process to even move forward. One of them being that Kansas had to accept knowledge that TJ Espinola would be defy. Find in the purview and kansas's for the for the effects of this case as a booster. And because of that. It's really what what I mean. It's it's really just a hell of a chess move by the instable a here, perhaps it was being pedantic in the way that it wanted to set this up a Kansas was like we have no choice, but to say that gas was was a booster in this case. I'm Kansas Kansas refutes that. But it had to accept that to get to the next point where he would even be considered for reinstatement and the installations. Okay. Well, you know, what if he's a booster? Then this is what we gotta do. Here's here the circumstances surrounding it, and we're gonna we're gonna give him a two year suspension. The point you're making is not inaccurate at all. I don't think Kansas was expecting this harsh of punishment. I'll also add another detail when I sat in that courtroom. I heard cast Nola say that the intention was to pay any foul main Silvio. Uses guardian another twenty thousand dollars, and the only reason that did not happen was the movement of this case, and it going public. So that is also although it's not hasn't been. Detailed extensively by the instable in its release. Or obviously mentioned by Kansas. The motivations of gas Nola to pay foul main were very much on the table. And also, this is why on Hernandez Miami was set for more than a year or would be he's now declare for the draft is because he never technically signed an agreement with Christian doctrines, but he entered into an arrangement. And so because of the intention was there, even though Evan Daniels reported that he received less than five hundred dollars actually had multiple sources confirmed that with me, it doesn't matter in the way you had set forth to do this. And so I think those similar principles are taking play here. Here's what I would say about the booster thing. Because that is what the Kansas athletic director. Was explaining. In advance of kansas's win over Texas Tech on Saturday. He said, listen, they're saying that we had a booster who paid? Silly Susan's guardian to get him to come to Kansas. But like Tito has no not really Kansas booster. We were just told if you want to expedite this process and not have to wait for us to investigate and then rule then you need to label him a booster ruling. Ineligible. And then and then seek reinstatement. So that's the only reason we label gas Nola booster because it was our only real option..

"Will sell tickets. You're sitting in the catbird seat. Now that all seems well and good, except it's still the Knicks and for as much as everybody says that New York's the mecca of basketball, nobody seems to want to go there, and they all want to go there to watch a game over at record park. But they don't wanna seem to go to the Knicks to play basketball for the next ownership me. Gotta be careful. We know James Dolan gets a little sensitive about that ownership. For the Knicks. I've never seen a franchise struggle like this. I don't think we'll ever see a franchise struggle. Like this. That's born on third base. You're on the home of basketball in America. Were you find some of the best natural talent in America? Were you find some of the most ardent basketball fans in America? And really been a disappointment you when you want to championships you've been a disappointment. One thousand nine hundred seventy seventy three you crates are Dave the butcher. Hey, it was great. But I mean, come on. The Knicks have been a complete and utter disaster. And that's obviously being nice about it. They've given themselves a golden opportunity to get out of this L. I'm not I don't really have a basketball team. All really, I interest you in New York Knicks. No, you can't. Continue. So the Kansas athletic director, Jeff long, he got emotional Saturday in his response to the NC double as punishment of sophomore forward. Silvio sosa. He was declared ineligible for the season next because his guardian receive benefits from an agent, I have always respected and trusted the process, but I must tell you that my faith has been shaken this came from long, we stand behind our student athletes, when we believe they've been wronged can is there any reason to have faith in the antidote. No. No. Why would he ever have that? I know he's a as an ABC. So he has to say that because he's got to get along with the NCWA there..

"Up to Brooklyn MC the media luncheon yesterday got home late last night, and so we haven't had a chance to actual to actually sit down and record a podcast this week apologies. But we're here right now and a whole lot has happened. The federal trial has had its closing statements, Kansas system. Kurtis Townsend is on. A wiretap insisting Kansas will pay for van Williamson yet. Duke still got scien- Williamson. So that's interesting. Meantime, Bill self via text message appears to be rationalizing Kansas cheating because he thinks you and see and Kentucky also do it or at least TJ gas Nola added Kentucky also does it via Nike. Jim ghettos lawyer said the Bill self new Adidas bought Silvio Susa, and we'll weigh LSU coat on. Wiretap seem to claim he's willing to cheat to get a class of two thousand nineteen prospect. So there's a lot to unpack you. We're going to talk about it all plus the fact that the NBA has announced that select prospects going forward is early. Two thousand nineteen can get g. league contract straight at a high school for one hundred twenty five thousand dollars. Plus we're gonna try to get into our list of the top one hundred one college basketball players in this country. We're gonna get to all of it. I think I promise, but I, I mean as an Orlando, what's up with norlander what's up with sup with GP good to see us good, some good meetings down there. We are definitely. Fired up and ready for the season. For as as we are for the season to come and the content, we've got a head in the in the coming weeks, including my one, two, three, fifty, three rankings. We now have three hundred and fifty three teams in college basketball from three fifty one in recent years. The trial really did continue to dominate the headlines this week as it should you and I both wrote stories, wrote columns on what had happened here. And I guess GP take this in chronological order just to kind of set it up as we learn it throughout the week because there's a lot to get to here. And obviously it stands to be to me the most interesting if not impactful week of the trial. And there's been three weeks because of the fact that you had the wiretap between Merle code and Kansas. Instant Kurtis Townsend. What the defense lead offense to hurry for Jim caddo said in his closing arguments on Thursday, but you want to take it from from the start from Monday as we learn things and has as this week unfolded. That's exactly right because there's a lot to get to. And I wanna stay focused topic to topic to topic to topic. And I think the best way is just to discuss it in chronological order. Like you mentioned on Monday. It was a big day in the courtroom. You and I were both flying to Fort Lauderdale and I got trapped in Atlanta for a little bit. But at some point it was tweeted by the damn wets or Adams, the gory or somebody else in the courtroom. A text message exchange between TJ gas Nola, the former consultant slash back man bag man and would be awesome if he was also Batman in addition to a bag man, but he's not. He's not. And it was a text message change between TJ and Kansas hall of fame coach Bill self just of it is that this was three days before Adidas was about to announce a twelve year extension with Kansas athletic department, but it was already done the deals done and they're gonna nounce in three days. They did announce it in three days. It's TJ sins. Bill a text message basically saying, hey. Thanks for your help or whatever role you played in it and Bill. Self replies, again, according to text message change, read in court said, just need to get a couple of real guys. TJ replies to that by saying, in my mind, Kate, you Bill self. Everyone else fall the line to f and bad. That's what's right for Dita's basketball. And I know I'm right. The more you have lottery picks and you happy. That's how it should work in my mind..

They've got great stories six hall of famers Saturday night and crystal lake so there you go three one two three three two three seven seven six Corey Rayburn. Young is a professor at the university of Kansas law school. Okay. He tweeted, what's the argument for continuing? K U football serious question. They lost at home and Nicholls state the other day. Wow. It's an enormous money. Loser for cash-strapped university life altering injuries and cumulative brain damage or inevitable win this money better spent elsewhere example, more scholarships, certainly there are big twelve obligations shouldn't K you explore other options. Why can't we join the hundreds of other division one basketball schools that don't have a football team the basketball team is enormously profitable and can subsidize other sports. My first thing to the professor would be how much is the big twelve giving you because you are in the conference regardless win lose or draw. You're getting a piece of the TV revenue that the big twelve brings in correct? And they can do a lot with that. Correct. So so is it a daily, you would know better. Is it a money loser? I don't know the exact finances of here's the deal when I went to Kansas if you wanted to be a season ticket holder to go the basketball games, you were forced to buy the football games as well. I will assume that has not changed. It's it's like the NFL if you you want season tickets for the regular season you have to buy the preseason. So that's how they into my by. My Blackhawks tickets I had to pay for the preseason. And they were the same price one hundred and thirty five at ticket now in twenty seventeen the big twelve gave out a distribution check of thirty four point eight million per school. Okay. That's a lot of money and part of that is is basketball too. But the majority of it is football related. So you would think. Twenty million of that would go back in the kitty if. Kansas pulled the plug on their football program. All right. Still give money if they're not participating. But how would it affect the basketball program if they announced today, we are leaving the big twelve we are giving up football, and we are moving Kansas athletics into I don't know pick one. Conference USA American athletic. You know, a high level teams. They can go to the final four, but we're not playing football. How would that affect things? Do you think at the university of Kansas? I don't know. I don't know how much money they use for non revenue sport. Because like Michigan state now, they're very good in the two high profile sports basketball football. They get thirty one million a year from the big big ten TV deal on that. Right. And so a good portion of that goes to the lacrosse team and everything else. So you pull the plug on something that is is not doing well wins and losses. I get doesn't do well at the gate where a lot of these universities. Make more money is, you know, the big house sells at one hundred thirteen thousand and Danny the Lawrence journal world, that's a newspaper in Lawrence Kansas found that the Kansas athletic department, lost money in two thousand seventeen and donors had a cover more than nineteen million in operating deficit. So I wonder what they get. I don't know if you can find it the big twelve had their own TV network or no. No. I don't believe they do. I don't think they do. Hold on a second. What does Texas have their own network? Yeah. Okay. So the Longhorn network makes them a fortune, of course, fortune just like cap nets gonna make for the big ten network. I think is the most profitable conference network in the country. It's thirty one million last year per school going to thirty two million. That's why went down to the wire last week with xfinity, and that was such a huge deal. The biggest cable provider struck a deal at the last minute network. Correct. So I mean, I I don't I don't know where Kansas I don't see them pulling the plug on their football program. Do you Danny? I don't think they would. But I understand the professors point. There's really no point in throwing these guys out there every week when you know, they're gonna lose. I think it's the longest losing streak in division one football. It's like, you know, in the last ten years, it's the biggest embarrassment in division one football. I get where he's coming from that money could be spent better. Elsewhere. When you were there. Danny was mangino the head coach. No, Gino was after me. I was ready working here. When mangino took him to the Orange Bowl. And they lost Missouri was so they've. Then they can at least be decent. Listen in the nineties. The Kansas football team wasn't horrible in the early two thousand they weren't horrible it. It's gone downhill since the Mark mangino era. God, I can't believe it's gone from. Post Danny's you graduated what year two thousand. Okay. So we're not talking about like nineteen seventy-one here. They were in the Orange Bowl. And now, they can't beat Nicol state at home. I mean last year. I'll never forget it. I got up on a Saturday morning. I looked at it. What did they play Ohio you last year? Yeah. I think so I looked like a high us not very good Kansas is only laying five at home. I'm playing Kansas. I bet Kansas. I text Danny tax me back guaranteed loser. And did not Ohio. You kick the living unilat- crushed him. I could not believe it, my friend. Bruce. Frank says how much does KU basketball contribute to the big twelve for money distribution? They have do they have to make a payment because they get more. They get more national television dollars there on all the time. Yeah. But the the dollars come to the university. You don't pay the university dozen for the league how much do they kick to the league that if they left the league they could keep all that money. If you're gonna make the money goes to the big twelve when the big twelve stripes to deal with ESPN, or whatever the money goes to the big twelve they take a chunk of it. And then they divided up amongst the schools in the conference. But if what I'm saying is if Kansas and we're leaving and we're going to the American athletic, right? And I think wichitas in there, and I mean, there's a good programs, and they said, okay and condition you want us we got four five leagues that would take our basketball team right now, we want us guess what we are not sharing one hundred percent of the revenue. We're keeping X percent. You don't want us. We'll find out there that does maybe this brings more money into the university by leaving and not playing any football. I I assume the the contract they have for football. All is is a bigger contract and for basketball, and I just can't believe that that bad. According to business insider, the can the university of Kansas men's basketball team is the ninth most profitable in the country making almost nineteen million dollars a year. Crazy cap. You're surprised at how bad Kansas football is. We have a school in this state that has a terrible football program. They're not as inept as Kansas. They're pretty close. Their second. I believe I read that the second losing his program in like the last eight or ten years behind Kansas, pretty bad. I'll tell you what they're getting there booming field and champagne against handsome against one of the worst teams in the MAC, Kent state. Yeah, they almost lost that game. So I'm watching that game. And at the tail end of that first half I had flashbacks to when love he was with the bears. It was. Oh my goodness. It was all say this sweet uniforms. Uniforms last week. They look fresh Tigre batch Secaucus.
