This new York City Pharmacist Had Covid-19 Vaccine Doses to Spare. So He Hit the Road.

"With millions of americans clamoring to get their vaccine one pharmacist and brooklyn. New york found himself a unique position as reported by the new york times number. Kalou skar faced a problem this month. That seemed to defy logic. He struggled to find people to take the two hundred doses. He had on hand instead of waiting for them to come to the pharmacy. He would take his doses to them for more. We are so happy to welcome to the broadcast on loose. Kerr the pharmacist at the center of this story. He's based by the way at roissy pharmacy in the brownsville neighborhood of brooklyn How is it you you ended up with two hundred doses in your in your freezer. And and what did you end up doing. How did you get them into arms. Absolutely so we were pinched between two well intentioned rules about that ended up having a having a bad effect on us in one or two weeks in particular There's the rule that retail pharmacies at the time restricted to patients age. Sixty five and older. It was meant to create a place where seniors wouldn't have to compete with everyone else for vaccines and new york's user or loser role that providers need to use all vaccines in their inventory within seven days. Our risk gang removed from the program And between new mass vaccination site medgar evers college. That does absolutely excellent. Work and more farms is getting their hands on the vaccine. We were finding less and less patients to fill our appointment slots

"And i think that that's about as full as it gets in terms of this idea of the tragedy read this term for back in the workshop days. You know what i was dude. Leading a bunch of them. It's in the seventies called the cringe. The cringe meter. You know whatever makes you cringe. The mouse is probably where the greatest value is. So that was that was a fulltime on the cringe ometer Yeah for sure yeah that was a tad of the crater scale. I honestly i felt myself kind of getting biscedie while you were saying. Because i was like. Oh yeah for sure. Just ibe somebody different. There's gold in them there hills. That's where the value is. Yeah yeah good. Kalou good side on so many different levels for sure for sure. Yeah no i mean. I really can't add anything. So i think that you just articulated so beautifully there. Maybe that's another way that you can kind of think about this whole idea of the dreaded experience in total like what are the parts of yourself that you are silent or not letting other people see or that you feel shame around or if you got in touch with it would take you into a place where you're sort of as you said misty and will falling apart a little bit like that's a dreaded experienced people to feel like they're they're just falling apart. They're not all glued together. they're not composed. Yeah i mean for me. Absolutely i like being composed. It gets back to kind of control. Then that i was talking about at the beginning. I like to feel like. I'm gonna drive in the bus of my own emotions. Maybe it's why. I like agencies so much as a key idea that we share this podcast. Every that's it that's it that's right because claiming that feels very very powerful and good to me but also the flip side of agency i think. Kind kinda surrender and having these moments where you just sorta surrender to the experience and you go. Yeah this is the thing that..

"As I see it, it's still is Biden's Kalou's Donald Trump needs to fill what I would call an inside straight to win this he cannot lose. Florida, Pennsylvania. Because then he'd have to sweep them all. And as of right now, those Michigan's and Wisconsin's that he won by a sliver last time. I'm not so sure he's winning those states this time. You take that 26 away? That's the 2 78. He can't lose anything else. Now. One of the reasons why I think it's narrowed is because Joe Biden in it's a terrible candidate. A fracking thing. In Pennsylvania. He opened himself member in that debate show the video. I never said it. Donald Trump showed the video, he said it a dozen times. That he ban fracking. Oh, but now, he says he didn't mean it that way. Of course, that's a law. You know, they say Trump lies. Now they all lie one's worse than the other. So Pennsylvania, which I would have just said screw it. I think it's closer. And Florida. I actually give that a toss up right now. Now. I couldn't give a crap. What thes pollsters have you, Khun, Go on the polling right now. And they have buying up 8967 10 96. Not there. If it ends up that way, it's gonna be because of the early vote. Is also North Carolina, Arizona and Georgia. Let me be clear. If he loses Georgia President Trump it's over. That means he's dead. George is a red state Arizona. It's 11 electoral votes he gives back that he got in 16. That ain't gonna help and North Carolina's 15. He won that also, this is what I mean by the inside straight. He can't lose any of these states more than one of them or he's done. And we say that because Joe Biden is not goingto lose any blue states to read I hate losing New York, New Jersey, Illinois, California. Some of these others. Oregon, Vermont, Virginia, Washington Up Next we'll tie a little bow on this and then we have left to say on the markets today. Thank you for being here, Gary, this is one only investorsedge..

"My girlfriend beside me getting live. This is the Internet challenge. And I'm comfortable with myself to do this challenge. There are some men who wouldn't even be comfortable in doing it. You're seeing you was seen in the same comments saying that people were live. There were ciswomen and there was this man. I wouldn't be caught dead doing stuff like this and there was this woman saying. I wouldn't I win. Lead my guy do anything like this at all and all this. We talked about this. During our toxic humidity episode there are women and men who uphold these rules of masculinity these rules feminity these rules of what patriarchal says is okay for men to do was okay for women to do but then they complain when consequences come when they don't fit those rules and that's sure because there are consequences that happened. That you know aren't written that do happen when you don't fit in those boxes like you. May you basically may not have access to certain things that you may have had had access if you were in that box. When she come out there was also been fun for me to see the women. Make the switch to where they dress a masculine clothes and try to ask mass. Kalou interesting to me too. But the interesting part is that nobody is saying that that's vascular nizing the women or making them stronger implying that the men putting on the girl clothes is making them. Weaker is making the community weaker. Oh we got to see black man. Y'All just love seeing black men and women's clothes but you're not saying anything about the flip side they flip it instead of just thinking of it as just something fun to do like black people can't can't everything we fucking do from our hair from everything. We can't do anything without it. Being political and sometimes is just fun. Just let a just fine and we're just having creative is just something to do and the fact that your turn it into something you know. That's a masculine emasculating. The Black Man. I'm not one of them people although I have seen that there's a percentage of people that are like that but I don't think that's everybody everybody. I think some people just hate us because it's ingrained in them to hate us is ingrained in them to see anything outside of the box. I think there are some people that are just like that. And when they see it they attack it when they see anything like remote that they just attack it they just is something that triggers in them that hate. They're they're used to being bullies. They're probably see somebody who was queer and call them faggots in school and high school wherever they were and it just continued into their passes down to their children. Where's Khalil Mack?! The Raiders aren't saying

"I can tell you that right now. Nobody is in that locker room worried about any tension. Nobody is talking about any of the things that happened the off season. It's just doesn't. It doesn't exist. They're the only thing anybody's worried about is practice and is the next day practice. There were times being that building where there are a lot of things that were being said about the team. I remember when we let lower Malloy go and they said it's over in the locker room when they lost the team and all, but. But it was being said, but nobody talked about it and nobody cared about it, and everybody just put their head down and work towards the next day because that's just how it is. You know, I think human emotions do factor into this, like it's a game, Dave operated a certain way for a long time. But Tom Brady has the franchise player certainly would like to feel like the owner and the head coach back them up regardless of whether he's right or wrong. You also assurances Defillo like all the sacrifice, all the things that I've done to help us win and be a perennial contender that those things would be supported and reflected in the way we go about our business. So if he didn't feel like he was getting that support, I certainly could see where he would kind of feel like I'm out here on an island. It could change him come to carrying on the message that has always been kind of dispensed, Eric, I wanna push back against something you said in terms of the reporting on this book. And again, I'm not sure of anything, but the book basically says that Brady immediately called. Smith in the NFL PA and got on the phone with them. And so where they might be getting the information from is the NFL PA and sources there that are aware of how Brady reacted when Bob Kraft stepped down. And I agree with bookie to the extent that Tom Brady wants to fill a level of support I and again, when you factor in all the things we've been talking about all offseason how much less money he's taken throughout his career. He probably feels more entitled embolden than some as it relates to deflate gate though. I thought it was time to raise the white flag for Brady to put it away. The NFL Roger Goodell was backed into a corner. He had to stand tough against Tom Brady and the New England Patriots because of all the other things, the players thought they had gotten away with previously. When you look at this situation? Tom Brady was there and Drew Bledsoe was traded to buffalo, Tom Brady was there when Seymour was traded, Tom Brady has seen all the things. That take place there and there's a ruthless efficiency in that organization and everybody who's part of it knows that they're part of it. So if you don't feel necessarily as a pre shaded as you hope to be, you're probably in the wrong spot. That's your mindset. We're John gruden's returned to coaching. It's not after the slickest start with Khalil Mack holding out of camp and reportedly ducking the new raiders coach. Now Gruden says the defense wasn't any good. Even when MAC was there last year and reports of service that Khalil an team, they haven't had contract toxins. February Whitlam is Jon Gruden mishandling Khalil Mack. I don't know because I really want to hear what Eric in bookie Brooks have to say because of the way he's handling Khalil. Mack says to me that, hey, Kalou, you've been a great player, but our defense hasn't been great with you here. So maybe you're not as valuable as you think you are. I find it fascinating and it makes me wonder, but maybe the splash plays or there for Khalil Mack, but maybe he's unsound and other areas that I'm not aware of it does feel clumsy doesn't. It is real clumsy, but being with Jon Gruden back in ninety eight..

"Deal with race in this country um but it also introduced this i think hope and and feeling like okay word now in this post ray i mean i had never heard of the words post racial america before he was elected as as is feeling like okay we've got a black president now so it it it's over we don't have to in fact if you're talking about race if you're talking about racism you are contributing you are perpetuating let's just all leave it alone ada and i i get that i i i think that the way we talk about racism is is kind of broken a in that it's so loaded it is so a divisive people get so defensive when discussing it that it's it's it's uncomfortable so i wanted to make a movie that pointed out not only that race is still very much alive in this country in this world but that we can we can start our conversation about it that doesn't have to be um of feel awful this movie's meant to entertain and be fun i had the chance to watch get out the other day i'm trying my best so so hard right now not to give any spoilers uh but it's it's it's you know the scariest parts of the movie as i said before i sometimes the least gory parts of the movie that there's hypnosis there's these very creepy live in servants their switched identities and chris you're protagonist played by daniel kalou a um he's a black man and he finds himself in the middle of it all like i said when you see the word horror you tend to think of gordon as sometimes you eat you tend to think of at least ideal xi someone who doesn't really like a lot of horror it's because i i don't like being ski jump scare and i don't like watching a lot of blood.

"I kinda feel that way about three billboards to be honest which is another movie people have spent a lot of time uh arguing about what we're gonna we're gonna name our our final performance is here and i'm going to start with a elizabeth moss in the handmaid's tale this is kind of this kind of pairs with daniel kalou in a weird way because this is another project where it wouldn't work without her salt literally the visual style that show is pinning the camera to her face so that you're seeing every microchip her she makes because it is it it is a movie or it's a tv show i should say about a world where women are not allowed exterior already so they have to like have only interior already it's one of the few projects where i find like voice over not overly cloying or not overly explain what's happening but you almost wouldn't need it because elizabeth moss spaces conveying all the emotions in a perfect way i think it's one of the best cast tv shows i've seen in a long time in that everybody is perfect in their role but i i i had i shudder to think of like nobody else playing the lead character of of june slough shot off fred and i think that to me she gave kind of the tv performance of the year and i i i was happy to see that many other people agreed with me this is not exactly an under the radar performance but i think she santow stick come i don't know if either of you are handmaid's tale fans or detractors who i i think she's gray in it i will say that after having loved the first episodes a slowly trailed off and didn't finish the season just because there were times where i don't i think in some ways like the the way the more the story progress the less interested i was in the idea of how these characters might escape this topi in you know society i realize that this story has to go forward but for me the most compelling things were just how it laid out the reality of this society and this horrifying horrifyingly short amount of time between that and the flashbacks to this very normal seeming work.

"I mean how leftists how do you explain otherwise the fact that you get your butts kicked ever how do you explain it if you're positions are so widely held and everybody supports them like you want the public to believe then how come nobody votes for them at least ten numbers where you could express it in political power i mean it jeff with some limited circles we would call this kalou lou that something's wrong that you're circle at your party of twenty people is not effectively representative of what's going on into power structure now again as i was getting mrs i'm at giving advice to the left this is because the left is they don't care they are married strokes trust me on this they are married to identity politics and it doesn't matter there is nothing you can say you know i i heard wants to this was great advice there was this i went to a a lecturer in montgomery county when i was running for office of about three four years ago and there was this guy there and i forget his name but he gave a speech about how to talk to the left in the premise of his speech was don't you're not talking to the left you're talking to the guy listening and he was right in other words when you're arguing with a leftists they're married to identity part of your a racist in it's the phob and it doesn't make a difference but there are people listening to that conversation in that party mix company that are hearing what you're saying so to even know you're not making any ground with the left in you rarely if ever will right my purpose in this conversations with a third party listening who's a democrat who was thinking about taking the dark turned into liberalism but could equally take a turn into moderate republicanism i'm asking you to listen to what i'm saying.
