"House giving you say during that song as you get ready to copy. You're holding in your amidst whereas like up like Clinton letter have cops show. So, early, on one of your first call it, a break was was a bit connected Luke Bryan. Tell that story. So I'm from Alabama Georgia it's a very small town. In south central Georgia area close to Alabama line and. Luke Bryan is from Leesburg Georgia and About Twenty thirty minutes, I guess but anyways, his Mama, missile. Clare used to work for the town hall I believe and my dad is well driller. So he drills majority of the water wells in our part, our region of Georgia and anyways US drilling one for the city Leesburg and Missile Clare, and I think he started the conversation and just said, Hey, like you have a son that made it I have a daughter that's trying real hard I just wanted to see if you add any advice and Missile Clare was like to come see me. As. My Dad came home think I was sixteen seventeen years old and anyways told me I have to go see Miss Clare so I put on my fanciest high heels because for some reason that made me feel way more adult and I walked in into the town hall city of Leesburg and she's sitting there and she just looked up at me and the only thing she said to me was you're taller than I expected and I was just like Hi I'm Kaley Hammock. I'm you know you're Legrand's mom? This is the CD I was supposed to bring to you as a burnt CD that I wrote like in sharpy all the titles of these songs I'd written on and Anyway she's like. Well, let's go outside I need to smoke a cigarette. So we leaned against townhall and she smoked cigarette we watch the peanut trucks pass by and Yeah. That was really about it very short very to the point you know. No I just gave her gave her the CD because she had heard I played in that area lot and she was like I've heard of you I've heard of you plan you know but I've never seen you. So just give me the CD and a few weeks later. On Day that. I- Bobby I there's only like five times in my life. I've actually been mad like really mad and That day was randomly day that I? Just felt frustrated at the world. It takes a lot to irritate me and I was irritated that day and I remember I was pulling weeds at my mom and dad's house just get out of the house and someone called me from Nashville number I answered it and he's like Hey Kalian and he goes this is luke and I was like. Look I, know I know fifty eight lutes I'm from south. Georgia. What Luke Aria and he goes Luke Bryan and I was like killed me now like what? Kayleigh. You start the conversation off with country star in. And you're already being sneaky. anyways. So I went oh I'm sorry I've had a long day. Why are you me? You don't like what is this And anyways missile Clare had given him a CD and when it came up for the fact that year she played it for him and he's like wanting to talk to her and he's like I think you need moved to Nashville and I said we'll look I'm trying to do what you're doing what you did. He went Georgia southern you built a fan base and then when you went to Nashville, they really heard you because you had your people behind you trying to build a fan base and I said I don't know of from ready to go yet I don't feel like my heart's ready to go yet. And household. I just turned seventeen but he was like I don't know if you're a really smart or really stupid and I'll listen to me but I guess listen to your good. I. Just I think you could do this I. Think you need to move to Nashville so I was like okay and Yeah we stopped talking We ended the conversation and then he called right back and he goes on you talk to your dad. So I had to go and get my dad off Ebay and be like Hey Brian's on the phone. And Yeah. He talked to them and Luke was just like Mr. Hammock I just wanted to apologize because I just told her underage daughter that she needs to move four hundred miles away from home. But I'm just I just said that because I think she could do it and I think she needs to do it. and. I'm so grateful for all the people that have told my parents like she can make it. She could really make it because that encouragement and that support from my home base in on my family that really them in the world to me and. Just, helped me Kana on this uphill battle. So Luke doing that it really meant. A lot to me, and then when I was imitating record deals and I was choosing. He called and he's like isn't universal great universals a great play that it was like who you up to this. it was funny to actually get to talk to him again it's full circle. Did you save his number after he called you the first time just in case like he pushed saving Luke and then? Okay. I. Know a smart person probably would have. The Bobby, he told me to tell him when he when I got the town and he's like, why didn't you tell me when you got a town and my thought is like No like when you need to hear of me, you will I'm not I don't like asking people for favors I don't like. I don't like people thinking that I want something from them So I. Just never reached out I was like when he needs to know who I am he will like he'll hear my name and go I think that's that girl. So that may have really prolonged this journey, but it all happened the way it should and I feel like happened organically. So yeah I do have his number now though and I have it saved and like all Luke Bryan how long until at the end of that conversation until you packed up and moved to Nashville about two years I just felt something in me that I had to prove myself in a small town before went to the big town and tried to say, Hey, look at me like listened to my songs know like I needed to pay my dues and I think you Gotta You GotTa start that your hometown you gotTa make sure the people around you see something before you go and you try to get more attention a bigger city. So small bars clubs around. Alabama like we're removing. Yeah. Mostly all around Georgia Alabama Little Florida never got Carolina's for some reason I don't know why but that was usually where I stayed and I played the same places over and over and over again because I knew I could pull big crowd and the go. Yeah. Come in on Friday night. Yeah. We need a good solid night. So I. Usually. There was a few bars that always hit back home and then You know like drive through the night to go to Montgomery to play a battle of the bands and lose, and then have to drop my band back through the night to get back in town. There is a lot of moments that helped make me and helped me Kana really appreciate when you show. Up to a place and like there's an inside person showing you around backstage to everything and there's catering. Oh, God, bless catering. You know I'm used to play in places that I had to sell my own merch had to get the merge there myself and then play four hours set find the bar manager before it gets too drunk to make sure that we settle and I can. Pay All my guys in the drive them back. So now it's just I'm really grateful for all those times I played and gigged around Georgia especially because it makes all of this kind of like a fairytale. So you're nineteen and you decide okay I gotta make the move by the way we have such bad day as a boy thing I don't know it. I just remember like. When Luke calls I automatically go I know fifty, eight Luke's or you. And I was like, why did I say that? Where did that come from Sassy Kaley like cash you move up your nineteen ish yet you move to Nashville and what kind of car you in. I have an old five landrover. Okay. So it was it was a little beat up, but I just thought it was so fancy and it was cheaper than a newer Honda. grabbed. How still you're? Not that old looked really good. It was like seven years old when it got.

"So. I'm assuming you record it and send it off to him and then just see what happens. When you get back and you hear his voice with yours, how does that? Feel I cried? I did and then we went in the studio and mix them together as around midnight and Dave Cobb studio, and it was just a magical moment because I've never got to work with. Dave. I've never got to work with Allen before and it kind of felt like a weird full circle because I've been so many Alan Jackson concerts and seeing him as a kid and just been like that's what I WANNA do haven't met him yet like a person no, we'd all this covert. Exactly. So we didn't going to the studio together I, went in with the ban. And attracted and a big open room, and then he sent in his vocals later. So we haven't even met as Meld them a gift to say thank you but we haven't met in person yet. So one day I geeked out the first time I met him and I've only met him a couple of times ever because he's not the guy that's about town. You know he'd stays on his on his farm was ranch and outside Nashville does thing but we were playing a show and we played one spot before him and he was a big festival show so. I was getting off stage and he came on and very quiet, but very large and up to him, and I said Hey Mr Jackson because I don't know so much respect. Dow My childhood listening to. Alan Jackson was a big randy. Travis is big part of it s Mr Jackson a huge fan and he goes. You know what I think I might have heard you on the Radio Tomor to. Says good to meet to do. It was awesome. We didn't spend three or four minutes together. It was just quick get to say that I appreciate them and that was a big fan of and I just Kinda got out of the way. But like you I was like man is really cool Alan Jackson I have one quote from him. "Yeah. Gravity Electric play into your leads. Okay what Montana thinks crazy. Yes so you were in. You do look a little bit like Hannah Montana. Best both worlds. Yeah she does so you were performing in Highschool as Hannah Montana impersonator. Yep and did you do the thing where you had laney open up for him to Montana. Es Oh you did idea. That'd be a funny dad. I was like we're not leaving here without them. Knowing my name to bobby come on so you would open. Yes and then you would put on Hannah Montana's costume okay. So I had a little portable sound system and little piece of John on Karaoke machine style thing and I had the wig I had outfits I would go to a lot of these birthday. It was like birthday parties fairs festivals roles. Last one I did was at Saint Jude and a lot of the time. They didn't want Laney Wilson. There they just wanted Hannah Montana to come party or whatever so but I wouldn't be sure to ask him. I'd be like Ken. Ken Laney make an appearance too. So yeah I would I get up there sing a few songs play my guitar and And I'd be like and you know the songs. Oh Yeah. Did you ever do the climb idea. Do you think that you know. And it's a funny story This is probably one of my most defining moments of like you gotta do. This gotTA move to Nashville. I was at Saint Jude. And this little girl had had brain surgery like two days prior our to the Hannah Montana concert and they had told me before they were like you know. You can't touch the kids unless they come up to you and you know then you can touch them you know if they make the first move forest and dating. Yeah I get it trust me. Don't make the first move. But Anyway I was just about saying the KLOM and her dad he wielder up to the front and she was saying in every word to the climb and I mean Hannah. Montana's cry on my wig is on sideways. I'm like everybody. In the in. The whole entire building squally and anyway our turnaround and then she looks at me again a and I entered the microphone and she sings the entire song like bar. Sales just kills it. Everybody's gone and she has made the microphone back and she meant to say Hannah Montana Your must over but she said Hannah Montana. I'm your store I was like you know what you are and I have got to do this. The rest of my life. And how long did you do hang on personality five years. Wow is that it was that you're paying gig absolutely. I made way more money than I do. Now I'm GonNa tell you right now. I think there's often a misconception too with how much artists make until they're really making it we make it's almost like lower class and then there's no middle class. No very rare. "I was gonna ask them about because I'd always heard too, when you buy a house, it should be two and a half times. Your salary ninety more than that. So if you made forty grand a year, eighty and a half that's one hundred hundred thousand okay. So if you have two people making eighty grand a year you can do that. But I'm curious what he says about that. And so how, and then Raymundo probably get a gauge soon, right? We ask got engagement rings. I will Friday that happens with him. Like how much to spend on Asian rang. Yeah. Okay. I love that guy. Dave Ramsey being on Friday, and we'll talk about that. There was a story with guy. He didn't know but his backpack he was leaving trip from. Florida to Hawaiian had a big his backpack, snakes low there, his backpack. It takes on a plane. It was a southern black racer snake. It's slipped out of the man's bag pack. Snakes, have no natural predators, Hawaii. They pose a threat to the species in Hawaiian so you can't take them and let them out or have them. And so he was not aware that the animal had slithered into his backpack. It about a foot long. It was just chilling the hallway. Hates is shaking headphones off per second. Just gives me chills. When you say the word everything about it. Ever actually been around a snake. Walking my dog day. There's a frigging snake there on the side job and ran on the other side of the street. Jillian. Leash now. You did it. All right. All right. Always listen to the post show pre show board because we finish the show, but we keep going, turn the mic sano keep going most days. So hit it up the average person starts to seriously plan, their wedding age twenty one years old. Well, I mean, I guess I thought whoever is dating time twenty one I was definitely gonna marry, but I wasn't like landing the wedding ever thought that about me ever ever. I have never seen me. I've been I had him one relationship with four years now. The one that was almost two boyfriend lasted a month. I was like, we're probably going to get married. Well, you and your husband, you're about to get married at twenty one. When they start they also say guys, imagine their dream weddings way, more than you would think. I'm not someone who pictures that wedding things. Weird to me anyway, but moving on because we're done with the show today. Amy what's happened with you? Well, says share we'll get home from camp, so got her, and then we've got a basically unpack her do laundry and repack her because she leaves for Austin tomorrow to go like it's summertime. "That was morning. Gorny. Today. Campbell. Gravity. Sweet seventy on my guests. Fine jealous. I was like, dang. In a background dancer, one of my dreams. I do timberlake's background check. If you go over to my Instagram, Mr. Bobby bones, Kaley hammock who's new artist and myself did this dance with him? And so it's got like two hundred thousand views last night, and I was kind of embarrassed because I didn't feel that my dancing was good and make funny faces all time even during that starts. But I, I didn't make dancing with the stars faces because I was being like conscious opened my mouth. But then hoping I'm using the bathroom or angry licking my face. How Mr. Bobby Valentine? It's ceramics contract. It out what you do yesterday. I finally worked out for the first time in forever. So fell good. What was wrong with you? I don't know. I will not forever, but I took a few days off. Normally I don't take three days where I do like nothing. And so it just felt good to be strong against. I'm back in the groove feeling you know, like I'm ready to work out. What about, you knew couch? They finally brought it which furniture, so expensive and dumb. I didn't find couch, but it was like a circle croissant. You know, the soccer's not. Yeah. And you can't lay on a croissant back hurts. And so I felt like my back and I never in my living room. So I said, okay, I'm going to get an L couch. And so I got this couch and then I have no excuse now. So I don't sleep. Well, sometimes, and when some of that is because I'm always in my bedroom when I'm home. And if I'm always in my bed, my beds, never this, like always is to just go and sleep, a normal chair. I eat in my bed. Sometimes I watch TV my bet everything I do is my bedroom. So I got this couch, it's on my answer story, but I just sat on the couch and worked last night on the computer and I was writing some stuff, but they got a new couch. They brought it over. They fit in the door. Thank god. Yeah. Furniture so expensive. So that was that was the highlight of my day. I worked out, I got on the bike to that whole deal motivational speech. It was a motivational speech. It was like a little not number. Here's if I know I'm going to work out or if you know you have to go to work or if you know there's something that's not pleasant in your day you have to do, and you're going to do it was just get started right now. Because if you have to do it, your gap do it anyway. You might as well get started, because it's over with faster and you have to feel proud of yourself and also just to be done with it. I don't wanna exercise. I don't like exercise and almost like you know what I know I'm gonna work out. I'm going to get going. I encourage you to the same thing with whatever unpleasant activity, you have to do, because you're gonna do it anyway. And it'll be over faster. That's a motivational speech. That's a practical talk. Okay, more than and that making you feel great. I'm just like well, if I have to do it anyway. Might as well get started right now. That makes sense are you motivated? I bet I mean, people are motivated to get up and work out or go to work. Nope. If you get to pick when you go into work or if we're never go in. Oh, well, yeah. Your job. Eddie. All right. Garth Brooks is coming in, in the next five minutes. I'll believe let's, let's go Raimondo's. Are they here yet Garth year his here courses here? He's Garth Brooks early, Ecorse. He is well, superstar like one person that could be late. It could be guard. Tomorrow. Me the guy maybe like it's fine..
