"No, I don't think there's, I don't think there's in the NBA, do I buy the idea that calls are made to help advance bigger market teams and star players absolutely. I don't think the NHL has shown a whole lot of evidence of that. If they did, would the rangers have lost two home games? When they're up to all, over New Jersey. Right. I'm just wondering about TV ratings and the market of Seattle. No. All right. No, I just threw out. I'm going to dismiss, I'm going to dismiss you. I know you just looked at you gave me a look. You know what? You know what I gave you a look of? I gave you a hockey guy look. I just transformed into hockey. There was a certain amount of disdain. Yes, there was. I don't know, I just thought I'd throw it out. You know, sometimes stupid stuff pops into my head and it just kind of falls. You know what? A lot of times I love your stupid stuff. But as serious hockey guy right now, I'm not this time it didn't happen. I'm insulted by you. Tonight, you insulted me. That's all of us other serious hockey fans. I know. This is why you can't be allowed to be a fan. Stay away from my sport. Stay away. Now I'll do it for what is trending. Up next, we'll get back into the kale McCarthy suspension. Was it warranted? Where is your confidence level in the nuggets as they get ready to take on Phoenix? Do you agree with me that this is the de facto Western Conference final right here and Aaron Rodgers says thank you. All that coming up next. Loosen up those joints and muscles. It's time for your 7 45 stretch. Here's Lara then Evans with the biggest story in Denver sports. Oh, I love our texters. I love love, love our textures. I love it when they bring the snark. Why don't you and I appreciate snark so much. It's a great question. I'm not a 100% sure. I think you know what it is. The competitive nature. It's guy stuff. I think it is too. I think we both grew up too with friend groups where you were constantly busting chops. And getting your chops busted. Right. And I would think that you develop a thick enough skin that you enjoy the back and forth. I love it when our textures bring the snark. Right. I always encourage it. Yeah, bring more. Right. Trust me, as you say, there's no virgin meat left on your hide or something like that. What? Yeah, there's no version. I probably butchered that. There's no version of meat on my ass. Ah, okay. It's all been chewed. It's all been shoot out. So it's text like this that I love. Hey, Evan, you're going to take back your whole, there's no team in the west that could give the abs a run talk you look silly now. First of all, no, I still don't believe that there's a team that's going to beat this avalanche team four times. Said this before the class began, I said it would not be as easy as it was a year ago, but I do not believe that their team that can beat him four times. 13, they could beat him twice three times, take him to a game 7. Yeah, but getting that fourth win against the ass. I don't see it, not yet. Hello, James. But understand that when I made that proclamation value, it was playing for this hockey team. Kale macara was playing for this hockey team. You start taking guys like that out. You can talk about next man up all you want, but it does become an issue. But we'll see how they respond. And I think they'll respond with some character with some guts with some pride. And you didn't think you didn't think gay was coming back either. Oh, no, no, no, no, no, no, no. That never felt right. To me. Okay. I know that you still have a lot of confidence in them. You know what? It's not so much confidence, wrong word. I do trust him. I don't think you can go through what they went through last year. What they accomplished and you can't trust them to be able to handle the moment. And respond the right way.

"It's even like a question. Again, if they went out and added Scott Mayfield, you would have mcavoy Carlo Mayfield, even though Carlo's been way under expectations this year. You still need them. And he's still important, and you still help you breaks out. So to me, Clifton would then be the odd man out. So I think it comes out of just matchup especially. On that left side with defense. But it's an interesting thing. It's an interesting little conundrum they have. They say, conundrum. Okay, so one question I said we would get to this about Fabian Lisa, Benjamin, Dolly mount. And David on YouTube asked questions around my sales future, Benjamin said eventually when the WHL season comes to an end, what do you think best fits lysell, playing the rest of the year of this year in Providence? We're trying it with Boston or another opinion. So I am not as familiar with the WHL and kind of the developmental path I am with like college hockey, right? Call Jackie always I always say like two years. For instance, I tweeted the Luke Hughes goal that he had against Ohio State, which was just insane. I mean, just like watching that live, it's like, holy crap. Like, I don't think just a Luke used aside. That kid's going to be freaking good. Better than Quinn. He's bigger. He's skates just as well. He's got great edges, like ridiculous skill, goodness on end, but play another year. Like I always believe two years is a good point for especially really elite college players. Due two years. Always do two years. It can never hurt. You know? Because I always say, I guess it's kale mccar bias from UMass, but like you look at kale macara and some others, it's just like, do two years. You know, you're seeing with Owen power this year a bit, so I can't speak to WHL as well. As I could with college hockey, but what I will say, seeing him in province would be really good. I think again, I think he's ready. He's tearing up the WHL this year. I believe he has like 38 points, 32 games. So for me, I think he is absolutely someone who could fit right into Providence. And I don't think he'll come to Boston. I don't think that that's going to take place as quick. And again, I think a lot of people make the astronaut comparison. And not to be cliche, but every player's developmental path is so much different than the other. So I wouldn't be totally comparing it to David pasternak. However, I would say that getting him in Providence this year, I think would be good for his development. I think ultimately like that would be a good move. But yeah, I mean, there was a goal he had the other night in the WHO and he stuck behind the D and got a great breakaway. I think he's going to be very good. We'll get into actually there's another question about lysell later. Even nearer future about this deadline where we'll talk about some interesting points with him. Bruins fan 71 asked through the bruins scouting and why. I can not confirm anything at this time, but who they're scouting because again, they never really say who? They're just like at games. And scouts have to go to games anyway, so it's hard to tell which one's trades and stuff like that. My guess is, and as a gas is not confirmed or reports, but my guess is they're scouting potential second line centers and defense. I also think they're looking at guys who are not your typical targets..

"Points in 56 games. He was still on the ninth season two I mean his his his ability to put points on the board. Is excellent. Here's the thing I would take Rasmus tall, lean over Quinn use any day of the week. Just for all the things that you have said to me today, because I don't think Quentin used has the ability to play a bigger game. Quentin, you is going to play a lot of minutes in this in this league because of his offensive abilities. But Rasmus Darlene has the ability To be Much much better, all rounded defenseman because of his assets, his his ability to move the park sodas owns his ability to be more physical. I saw some nasty order that young man last year if, uh Yes, he does have killed my car was in that 2018 draft. Do you put him number one off? Costs stop. Okay, Well, I I agree. I would put him number one. Oh, my God, by far ahead of everybody that's on the 2018 draft. Hey, Craig, We have a tweet here from somebody just tweeted me and said, um, that they feel that you might be putting too much stock in the 1st 26 games of the season last year. As it as it pertains to rasp, Asali. So I'm putting too If Darlene, I guess the question would be I guess I'm putting stock into a half a season. Of a young man's career. He only played three seasons. And you would think in the third year of of his growth that he would have been taking leaps and balance. He did not. He faltered. That could be, um, a multitude of reasons, okay? There is the you know, Covid, um, a very long layoff. There was what 10 months that these guys had not played an NHL hockey game training might have been a little bit more difficult and where he lived in and all of that kind of stuff. Who knows? All I know is that we're not going to look at the first part. We're going to look at what, how he ended. Okay, and he ended in a way that every single saber fan Now. He's like, Yes, that is the young man. That we want to see. And I'm gonna tell you right now, when you're going after less You don't have to look any further than Don Granato on this. Absolutely goes over cyst. 11 points in the last 20 games. Only minus two is a minus 175 in the 1st 26 games, and he was only a minus two in the last 20 games. Big difference in the way Don Granado had Rasmus Darlene Henry Yoki, are you and a lot of other players, So that's why I think West. Mr Allen can develop other facets of this game. With Don Granado to become a really, really strong Maybe not Victor Hedman at 66 to 35, but closer to that Well, I think Listen. I mean, when you look at Victor Hedman and you and you look at all of, um, the excellent excellent attributes he has as a defenseman. He is the best defenseman. In the National Hockey League. That's just my opinion. Okay. I think he is the best overall defenseman in this league. I would take him every year as a Norris Trophy winner. That's just me. I know that there's you know Adam Fox and I know there's a Kale Macara and I know there's Quinton Heusen Rassmann, Darlene's, but I find as a as a as a defenseman that you want in your system to win. I.

"You're ready for the performance players of the season. We've changed us up a little bit right. Thanks deanna hong who. They're promoting something different this week on the podcast right. We've talked about the wave runners. The boats the side by sides all of that. We've talked about all of that. We've talked about the outboard motors. Here's something that. I didn't know so i'm guessing you didn't know the a- of the week this week is the outdoor power equipment and you know what that means a generator. Apparently yamaha's raters since nineteen seventy three. You know really. Yeah and i'm interested in that because like interesting. Well yeah. I mean look. The power goes out with the cabbage. What happens you needed. You gotta you gotta get on that man. You sure you need a generator. You visit. Yamaha motor dot ca for more information or to find the closest dealer near you. And when i said we were doing something different with our performance player of the week. Actually shout out to rob gray. Who helps us with a podcast. Because he came up with a good idea. Even though i was stressed and thinking about it yesterday i lot going on on wednesdays back in the u haul of with you daughter katie. Lots of stuff going on. But we can't provide a performance player of the week because the stanley cup spin warded. And we did that last week in episode thirty so we're going positionally forward defence goaltender coach general manager performance individuals of the season. How's that so. Let's start up front live and he got up front. Wrap it up. it's an easy ones. Connor mcdavid he had two points a game many times this year. It looked like he was just playing a video game and he was faster than everybody else i. He had an amazing year for me. It's mcdavid i agree. So connor mcdavid for both of us on defense while couple of like some really good choices on the blue line I'm gonna take while becomes an easy. One i can take the norris trophy winner adam fox from From new york he really really was surprised in not the way produced points but in the way he played the rest of the game as well for me. Anyway he's better than i thought. I thought he had an unreal year. So adam fox's mike guy nice. I thought long and hard about our guests. Victor hedman former norris trophy winner. Five time finalist by the way not. I thought you don't want he's one enough back to back stab the norris everything that goes into the life of victor hedman. He's not going to be offended by me. Not choosing him. So i'm going with another youngster in in kalema car. We we talked about. You know kale's contract and how that's going to impact the colorado avalanche but as it should. I mean you know like adam fox. He just seems to be better and better and wind and right up nicely as he's barely entering his prime barely so Kale macara for me on defense gold standing. Think we're unanimous with this as well as the best goal in the game andrei vasilevskiy. He's man. I talked about headman earlier. And what he means that team. How about when you finally get down there. You finally get the puck finally get control. We've got that giant acrobatic athletic goaltender in the net I think andrei vasilevskiy is the best agreed and you know had been talked about being able to win the one. Nothing game right in game seven. And i think that vasilevskiy made on beauvillier on the break. So i agree. That's let's all right Coach of the year for you a..
