2021 Golden Globe Nominations Announced
"Desperate dose of hollywood glamour. We've got you covered because the golden globe. Nominations just dropped. The ladies crashed this morning and the competition is intense. Let's start with best performance by an actress in a limited series or motion. Picture made for television. There's some really big names on here. Caitlyn jet nicole kidman. This is a hard one for me. This was a hard one for me because miss america was one of my favorite shows of the year cable on shed got on the screen every single time and it was like she was doing oscar worthy performance in every single episode with that being said everyone saw the undoing. Yeah once saw nicole. Kidman bringing that drama but us in the unorthodox i know given the emotional than gravitating. It's so i am. You're right and exact. Same way i feel. It's one of those. Like i would be happy with any of those one guy wanted more for one person and i want to be definitive with you guys but truthfully They love cate blanchett shocked. If kaitlyn does not win but at the same time the coal kidman is also loved it so good and she came back after a while and whatnot or wildlife. The big little i. She's been on a roll lately. But the hollywood foreign press loves ingenue. They knew they love when rachel processing. Shera my dad no come on. What's one just couldn't stop watching about the better show. That's a problem. Richard would have been a conversation. Okay i think as if if you go based on the performance of a really pushing you sheera was tough. That's a tough role to do. So i really wanna give it to her. You know but again. I won't be mad if nicole arcade take it too. I just think the co kidman gave us nicole kidman and big little lies and we were here for the drama. The rich family that goes through something hard and we got it again doing about it just seemed like more like the same character however when cable on announced that she was doing miss america. We were all like blanchette hundred. I have gone back to visit. Does that make you mad as a television out. No i'm fine with it. You could one. It's different day rappers. Upcoming stars people from london coming over. It's a giant pool does so it's fine all right. Well let's talk about this one best performance by an actress in television series trauma. Now we've got some familiar names that we see almost every year of coleman jody comber and my core and laura linney answer a in you know i just gotta go coleman i mean i just billing. They love her. They always lever. She's always good. She always sales it and I think is gonna probably get it again. So let me take anything. The crown anything and everybody on the crime i could be on the crown go. I don't know i was waiting okay. Well what about this fun. Category best performance by an actress and a television series musical or comedy. Let's see the list here. I love all these shows to let me. Just let you know something. Look jane levy. I love you. You were amazing. I'm sorry you're gonna be pushed aside because what we have here is we have catherine o'hara who is stepping into the game shits creek was one of the biggest winners at the emese. People started talking about it. People started benching all six seasons of this thing. And we have not seen catherine o'hara on our screens in such a long time. Then we got this this moment with crawl right. She was it was like she was in on the joke that she was a joke in her character was it just was the best show ever totally. You work so hard and so long and then you're in something and no one you know when it was over on Was a pop. Yeah when say we're about we're pop but it was all pop. No one really knew about it. I was a fan but it just blew up and then everyone got those awards every what was this is like no other people like i've been a fan. It's been on those levi's please.
All Things Mental Health with Psych Nurse Kaitlyn Eder RN, BSN
"All right, everybody. Welcome back to the WOOL MED. This is a topic I've been wanting to get represented on the woman for a minute and I've had a lot of y'all messaging me like when you're going to have a psych nurse on which I love because it's so under represented and I just wanted to find the right person to speak into it so. I bring. y'All, Caitlin. She is a nurse down in Alabama right? Yeah. Alabama. Okay. Well, everybody welcome Caitlin I'm so excited to dig into psych? Nursing. Yes so excited to be here. I'm so excited to talk about kind of my world in nursing what's leading psychiatry and it's been a great experience a fun journey and you're right. It is underrepresented. There's so many things that people don't know until you Kinda Mercer yourself in field. So I'm so excited to get talking to shed some light on some of them for things that are going on today. Oh. Girl. metoo. Okay. So you told me you've always had a passion for psychiatry in Psych Nursing but. How long have you been in the field through I graduated at? Auburn University in two thousand. Sixteen. I've been a nurse for four years but I've worked in psychiatry for three years Nice I actually I, think it kind of an interesting story how it started for me getting into fights. So I did not start there when I was in fool there were two clinical rotations that I absolutely loved one being pediatric and secondly I most importantly love psychiatry. I had to wonder Nicole instructors while I was. Doing my clinical rotations that were so passionate about psychiatric nursing and their passion. Honestly made me think to myself one day I. Want a would I do that much and it was It was so contagious and I it just made me. So engaged in rotation when I started nursing school. It actually always a dream of mine to work at Vanderbilt with the top institution top Teaching Hospital. I. Went to High School in Nashville when a graduation was approaching I applied to the nursery agency program and was expected to a pediatric track there and the reason I should theatrics over by kind injury was pretty much everybody in the medical field told me to work in a medical I guess floor before going to fight so. Interesting Okay Yeah. Yes. Only listened to that. I worked on key mark at the amazing time there. I. Learned so much. really set the standard on evidence based practice research but. Despite thinking that I landed my dream job and I thought it was GONNA be my dream job a few months and I really. Felt like I wasn't in my and I wasn't working like what I was super passionate about and I found myself on really gravitating towards the because we'd get citations on that war at Children's. So I was really gravitating to those patients on the unit and it totally reminded me of how much I love my psych rotation when I was a nursing school. So, I ended up taking a huge leap of faith and I ended up accepting a job at the hospital that I had my psychiatric clinical at as a student who attacked apartment in Nashville and moved back to Auburn. Wow. Yeah. And there was a lot of nerves you know because this is a huge like emmy of course, is going to be a nurse, but it was a completely different field people were like. Doing. Yet. You're working at children's, and you're GONNA go work in psychiatry. See. You might get paid more in Alabama. Yeah. So you know a huge change for me, but I totally thought he's Auburn. Is kind of wary became an adult I went to college I feel at home here. So I kinda just said you know piece. Okay. I was like this isn't going to do and if I hate it, I can make a change you know. So yes, I ended up back Back Down Auburn, but this time as opposed Brown and working to a completely different field.
'Dancing With the Stars': '80s Night
"Dancing with the stars. So it was eighties night, which meant a great deal of bad hair a great deal. Male and female bad hair bad here all the way around bad here for the host bad here for everybody. And costumes of exceptional cheesiness. And for Justina Machado, having to give herself a shower onstage. Stay true to flashdance you suffer for your art girl you go. And dancing that was. Generally not great but. Colorful. Shiny colorful. and. Harry. Yes Fair so much. So what did you think anything stand out to you. I quite liked Nieves quickstep it got dissed by the judges and I. Agree I thought that was good I liked. Watching Nellie tonight I did too. I pretty much enjoyed them all along. I. Think he's looked like he's throwing himself into it gratifying way but tonight was particularly good. Yeah I. It's not that I haven't liked him in the past I just thought that he he did a good job tonight. Yes. So he was fine. I don't know I did Kaitlyn. Doing the Tango. I didn't that didn't seem like a Tango Song Me Song. I. Think Law now with their like revenge of the nerds costs on. That didn't make any sense to me like no. The three, you know the combination of dance style music and production design was yes. Wacky and then yes, I had the same issue with this as I did with the Disney night. Songs, which is when they're all king played by Rachel live. Stay sound weird. Songs you've been hearing for. Forty years. Yeah that is that is distressing. I did like justinas downs and just because I'm predisposed to earn about what? And I liked AJ? Well it was hard to overlook the preponderance of bad hair. And I don't know how well his dancing necessarily was, but that's such. A Nice be wall song and Shirl was just had that big dress was just swooping all around. So beautifully, I really enjoyed watching that. Yeah. Yeah. Like a particularly good. You know wedding dance maybe look they practiced huge. So I would just you know done without all the hair extensions but okay. by I thought that was a really pretty down. So I give them some parts. For that Nice, and also just because Aj seems to be having a really good time and throwing himself into the. Spirit of the Mirror Ball. So I appreciate that I will give points for that. Yeah. Although I do I feel like most everybody is except for Jesse who said goodbye tonight? I think I may not. That was a merciful elimination though I shall be sorry to not see much Sharon in her pink hair. Yes but Yeah, he seemed like. that he is maybe than thinking better of this. This little plan. Yeah. Someone. Had for him right exactly. So, yeah. I don't think he's GONNA be bad. I hope not but Yeah. It was. It's an interesting group because there's nobody that really stands out as being pretty exceptional I mean. Johnny. Is Probably the best dancer, but he's not this kind of dancer and so yeah if you give them a contemporary teen that's right up his alley. Does well, but he's not going to do well at the ballroom. It doesn't seem right. So and there's some people who have a little bit certainly I'm sure the cheerleading coach has a movement experience need was talking about his experience. But there's nobody there's no ringers I. Don't think. Yeah. They all have a certain degree of uncertainty and counting. With, panicked is there dancing. So you know in various degrees of their pro yelling at them right? Well they're moving. Right. So it's it's kind of refreshing, but also makes it less exciting to watch. But. Holy Cow, the fake audiences excited. And they get mad when Do. Booing of the judges we know it's you know it's not humans stop at. Stop, that's reliant. Stop ferries to knock applause just I keep I keep getting into it and then realizing wait a minute. This is out of the CAN. But somebody's having a good time. There's somebody in the control room who is just having a ball. And I salute that person right? They are burning their paycheck. Hoots this is this is one we need the boost this favorite people clapping along yes. Yikes. They have something that's on the be where they can do that. Same Yeah. Well, I was complaining about this to my husband and he says, Oh yeah, they're doing that with baseball too. So I guess fake cheering yes. I was actually I noticed that the other day we were watching a game. Is, is that fake stand noise that they're doing? So, apparently, we are not to be trusted to. On our own without the sounds of other humans it would just be to ghostly. K.. Twenty twenty so. Heck Yeah. Stream. screamingly weird and you know we can continue to just. BE ANNOYED AT TIRA wasting time spending like half a minute talking to Nellie about arcades like s if anyone's GonNa talk let it be the celebrity themselves or let him read the judges like don't rush them right right through their critique only. So you can reminisce about arcades like yes. Yes. Don't rush into the critique in also A. Used to be on this show that there was time for the eliminated couple to say goodbye there was even a time where I believe they got a little last dance or like a little montage or something. Yeah. Yeah yes. If you could take all of the inane questions, you might have enough time for a proper sendoff or at least smile wave. Yeah, I guess they feel that they're outsourcing the send off to GM, and so it doesn't they don't need to do it here but they need to do it here because I'm GonNa Watch that right and it's just such a bum's rush every week. At least leave probably don't have to get on an airplane and fly to New York to Jimmy this year I'm hoping they letting them do it virtually. No may be so. Yeah everything is. Not, yet somehow I have not yet adjusted my thinking to realize that everything is that way, right? So. Yeah. That's probably right. Well. I don't know a theme nights like this are not my favorite. Especially when they just The. Speaking of the dials they turn up the cheesiness dial two, twelve year I just would rather have pretty costumes and hair and. You know dances that just exists to be a pretty dance

July 2020 Book News
"Back to books and Boba Club in pocket, which impose Asian and Asian American Authors Marinas Marina. And I'm re-re. You and we are here today our mid month episode toward the month of. July July. Twenty twenty. How're you doing? Good I can't believe that we're ready like halfway into July. Honestly if each like just started no right. Also, I realized that because Marvin and I used to record in studio. I used to see Marvin by twice a month in person, but we haven't. We haven't seen each other in like. Ever since March I don't think we've seen each other. It's been. It's been a while I think the last time we saw each other was when we were recording. What was our? Was? Our February book even. Was! It not south no map assault stars. was after I. Think it was May. who was such a long time, we? Can just look it up right now. I'm looking at right now. Because the Internet exists, I don't WanNa be one of those people who don't know how Gorka. Let's see now that there's like this website where you put in a Google Inc and then you send you send it to someone who asks you a question right like they could totally yes. Let let me Google there for you. Yeah, yeah, I back. When I was in Grad School, I was send to. My classmates would ask me dumb questions. They can just google themselves. sat quite a lot. In College as well our February Book Club pick was the kiss quotient. God so the one recorded with your friend Kaitlyn. That was our last the last time we saw each other. That's wow. Yeah. I feel like These past few months has reinforced idea that. I'm. Pretty Okay with staying at home all the time, which is something I didn't really know about myself or didn't remember about myself. What's your? What's your Myer Briggs by the way? I know it's I. I know it's complete bullshit, but. It does give me a good handle on whether someone is a really extroverted or introverted, and so my with the Myers Briggs is like so if I take the test I usually test at an NF, which is like the Uber. But because of the people I work with I'm often forced to take the set characteristics. So people are often surprised that I am at NFP because I was surprised, too. Because you know like your co host used to be Mindy. The. She does now she now does first of all which is. which is one of the PODCASTS Einar podcast collective and Like she's she's definitely like more extroverted. She's an actress, so yeah I was pretty surprised once I started co hosting with you. I thought it was just going to be to interest talking about books. That totally was not the case. The thing with like introvert extrovert is it's not really. Outgoing. This isn't the it's a trait of extroverts, but it's not. It's more of a symptom than like a core thing, right extroverts just means I. IF I'm out with people are like I can stay up all night. socializing gives me energy instead of expending energy I. Mean I think that's the core difference so? but but what I found is I do gain energy from socializing even online with people so I don't need face to face to be energized and the complete opposite for for. I mean like my Myers Briggs is on twitter, so a lot of people probably know already, but I am I've tested as I N T J. and. socializing is definitely not my strong point. Every time I do go out to Asian American like shindigs. People are always surprised that I'm there. 'cause tonight, because I, really I. Really don't go out. I'm pretty much a unicorn if you see me out in about. So I definitely adapted to the whole self isolation thing. Better than others I mean it helps. There's a lot of media to enjoy at home so I've been seeing a lot Final fantasy like the past. The past three weeks. Grace I recently I talked about this on some of the other pockets that I'm on I binged content this past week, so I washed the old guard, and that I watched all three seasons of dark, I watched the first season of umbrella academy I watched both current seasons of food wars, the the horny food anime, and then I went online and read the rest of the Manga series, so it's been Dan Marvin. I have unhealthy binge habits, which is why I try not to binge as much as possible because. Once I start something I will finish it. It's like it's not even it's not even a of a question. And then I'll spend the next ten hours reading pieces and analysis, so which is why like when you were watching killing eve as it was airing. It definitely curbed that addiction. I know but I've phone behind killing eve so now I have a whole season to binge later, so it's so good Marin about that So good. Yeah, I mean. It's the same with books to write I typically read books in like s few sittings as possible because. A because I have zero self-control, and if you give me the chance to just stay up all night and read something and free or something. I will take that chance
Pomp and social distancing
"And it is my honor to introduce you to some of the class of twenty twenty joining us from Hayes. Montana is CAITLIN carry water. She is a haze lodge logical high school senior. And she is a Cinnabon Caitlyn. Congratulations in welcome to native America. Calling Hi thank you and so as a recent graduate how you feel. Kinda shock tough ride. I Bet I bet and for you. What does it mean to get to this point in? No that you're turning a new chapter Oh we had a kind of plotted out for a long time. But we knew it was gonNA make it in any words to your fellow classmates about Graduation and just getting to this point We just need to keep moving forward and we need to keep with our education and make a better future for reservation. You know all right I hear you Kaitlyn And also here with us today out of Gallup New Mexico as Dr Key Smith. He's a university of Minnesota Medical School graduate and an incoming you see. Welcome thank you for having and another great accomplishment and feel to be referred to as Dr Smith Now I think it's a while to get used to but I think there's been a lot of like challenges and sacrifices and also a that went into being able to say that and so it definitely feel it feels good But I take a lot to get used to that and so Dr Smith your thoughts about getting to this point in knowing bright now. The entire country is Looking to our medical professionals more doctors are needed. And now we can say we have another doctor Adding to the workforce in just your thoughts about getting this accomplishment especially during these times. Yeah really the question so I think just what I was saying earlier. I think as native people We tend to make a lot of sacrifices leaving our homes and our and our nation and going on to care education and so Being able to be at the point that I'm out right now and overcoming those sacrifices and challenges and being able to Say I'm a doctor now? it's just very exciting very humbling. I feel very honored to be a native person in medicine and I'm a little nervous and scared to be Kind of moving into the next journey next part of my journey during this time. But I also feel like I've been equipped with many skills and the knowledge to be able to to Treat patients and being able to learn a lot of many awesome doctors. And so I think it's An exciting but also kind of nerve wracking time but also to be on the front lines and to be able to do what I've been wanting to do for a very long time. I think I'm looking forward to it. Into what discipline are you going to be going into? So I applied to internal medicine Welby Training in internal medicine. And so you will definitely be there in critical moments in Casey just thinking of getting through all your studies in getting to this point where now it is more of the practical side where your thoughts I think I don't know I feel like at least the first part of Med school year in the books into taking lot of tests. And there's not a lot of patient interaction until toward the end of Med school. But I think I think now as you have mentioned being able to apply a lot of this knowledge and these skills that able to gain and being able to actually make changes in individuals lives is is very powerful and and and honoring into so graduation is truly a moment where you are transitioning into something new Leaving behind space that maybe you got very comfortable in. And so I know how How big of a moment. This can be for many

It is September twenty second. It's going to be in Dublin. Caitlyn's bridesmaid. I may never get back to the. We're on a high from dermott. No let's podcasts. We're not sleeping tonight at the airport in three hours of the questions. I was scared. Sorry okay first question so Canadian favourite place to be in the world my imbed my house my with the dogs and Jason Yep favorite in the world first memory of life. Oh I K- this is funny so I was three years old and we had a cabin growing up. This isn't really rapid fire. Because I'm taking my time but we had a cabin growing up in British Columbia is called Shoe Shop Lake and we had a cabin. I was a very difficult child. I always had tantrums and my whole thing when I was mad when I was little I thought pulling down. My pants was a way to get back at my family and my first memory of life is coming out of my cabin front door throwing a Tantrum. Because I didn't want to wear this cookie monster to peace pink. Those actually really cute when I look back on it and I was mad and I just stood out there and I pulled down my pants. Because that's what I did when I got mad and I was like L. Show them Jesus did that now. Three biggest fear. Okay if I if I genuinely think about this. Biggest fear is probably singing singing onstage in front of a bunch of people or dime to very very dramatic twists all right. Where do you see yourself in ten years? Holy Shit. I'm going to be forty freaking four in ten years. Wow okay weird. I see myself as this like frick. I'm going to. I'm going to be on the cover of Forbes magazine that driver you're talking on another driver on a private jet. I am going to be on the cover. Four for forty over forty or no I. I want my businesses to be so successful. I want all the same people that have started with me from the beginning to be just as happy with my life is where I'm at. They're going to grow with me. I'M GONNA family. I hope I have two boys and a girl. I don't care. I just hope I have healthy. Babies I hope by the family more dogs and successful businesses inspiring others. Well but something you can never live without. Vo tocks agreed. When you're on your deathbed what memory do you think? We'll stand out. Oh Wow that's a great question. You're welcome wow when I came up with a really. That's a really good question. When I'm on my deathbed what memory will stand out. Holy Hell probably heaving Dermott Kennedy. Probably obviously the bachelor bachelorette being on that television show and then it right now if I was on my death bed. This question is so eerie to me because I always feel like things happen. For example said that you fear death so. I feel more morbid. If I was deathbed right now the memory that will stand out to me would be honestly like a big part of it is rescuing P non-roman like that's what send their baby himself Chelsea gray bones. Okay Okay City you would move to. If you're moving tomorrow Probably Back Vancouver. Please do think about it question for you. Do you own or rent your own home..
The Kiss Quotient by Helen Hoang
"Let's just get started right. I'M GONNA start with the book jacket description for those of you. Who DO NOT CARE ABOUT? Spoilers Standard spoiler warning. We're GONNA be talking all about this book so if you care about that stuff go read the book right now. We'll wait put us and when you come back we'll be ready to talk all about the kiss quotient okay. Stella Lane comes up with Algorithms to predict customer purchases a job that has given her more money than she knows what to do with and way less experience in the dating department than the average thirty year old. It doesn't help that. Stella has asperger's or that French kissing reminds her of shark getting its teeth cleaned by pilot. Fish her conclusion she needs lots of practice with a professional which is why she hires escort. Michael Fan with the looks of a k drama star and the martial arts moves to match the Vietnamese Swedish stunner can't afford to turn down Stella's offer and when she comes up with a lesson plan he proves willing to help her check off all the boxes from four play to more than missionary position before long. Stella not only learns to appreciate his kisses but to crave all of the other things. He's making her feel their no nonsense. Partnership starts making strange kind of sense and the pattern that emerges will convince Stella that love is the best kind of watch. Yeah so We start with this. We're GONNA start with First Impressions and I am going to start with you. Marvin considering I made you read this and Actually this is my second time reading this book and I thoroughly enjoyed it because partly I knew that you're at the same time. I think I mentioned last episode. Listen to this book A Good I think seventy percent of it on audio book extra comfortable. Did anybody sit in your car while no we live in? La where there's tons of time spent in traffic alone which is great dealing time kind of turn it down was when I had to order stuff through drive Thru starbucks. This need no. I'm listening to this. Or maybe they do. Maybe movie staircase kingship solicitors of books in. Boba know that I am not the most versed in the romance genre by do know. Something's about through Osmosis and through I mean some of our books have had like one or two like love scenes in them So I had some idea what it would be kind of imagine. It'd be kind of like your ROM com which is kind of is I did not expect eighty percent of it to be horny man. Yes that's that's really funny because Because I would expect it to be horny considering Michael's profession as an escort. Agus but it was like it was a lot. There was a lot of Horny in there a lot of just now. I think when I watch Ron comes in my head would think throughout this entire scene. There's no sacks but this person is probably be really horny for that person right now right because you can see every thought in their head last. I feel like it would be reasonable to have your expectation based on the back description. Be More like pretty woman which it is it is it absolutely is but then like obviously when you're watching a movie they're doing a lot of like tasteful fades or like even like the piano scene where it's like you know they start making out and you're like. Oh you know they're gonNa Bang but it's also like the taste will fade to black at. This has absolutely no tasteful fades to black actually very tame compared to serve Romance Novels. That are out there and still has cringely too. That's True Yeah. I think what I was in for the moment I saw the word. Cock in and I was like. Oh Yeah Okay Yeah like. Oh we're in it now. What about you Kaitlyn Well like I know that you are more geared toward Saifi and murder. Just like me. What compelled you to pick up the kiss quotient which is the complete opposite of those genres. And how did you feel about it when you read it for the first time? So yeah I am. I'm really not a romance person. In general I have tried to widen out my tastes just a little bit because I used to have this turtle aren't romance and I would watch like Rom coms here and there because they were like kind of easy to consume But basically right before I read this book A friend of mine Ashley kwach suggested reading the hating game because I was like going to Hawaii and was like Oh need like a pool re and she's like read this one And she is like super super into romance After finish that one. She recommended this one as well and I was like. Yeah why not like? This was fun to read And the heating game is like a really good. Just like more of a straight ron calm and then so when I read this. I was kind of expecting something like a lot. More in that vein. we're not really getting into like super serious sort of like character traits were conflicts And so reading this I was like man. This is like less aviram calm and more of like it is a lot more of a character study then. I guess I had kind of anticipated. And so I've finished a and I like basically like we can get to sort of like the big life changing moment. That happens like as I was reading after this book And then I essentially went back and I read it like all over again And so I. I've never done that with like kind of anything related to romance whatsoever And I was also kind of surprised because like I think a big barrier for me in like written like Romances. Is that like a lot of times. The sex scenes or like aggressively unattractive to read a lot of comparison of genitals like flowers and stuff in lake missiles like a little much whereas this like even if it was still kind of like like you said aggressively horny. I didn't find it like off pudding so I think that like helps me kind of lake. Get into sort of the meteor stuff that explorers. Yeah I wouldn't say aggressively horny. I just what would you say very horny? I never thought it was like pushing. His Hornets Army was just as a lot going on and I see how many times it can get toward horny into this episode and New and it was. It was kind of fun. It was really fun to just explore. These two people will try to figure themselves out. Yeah Yeah exactly. I definitely prefer romance stories where it is a lot about character growth. It is about People who are trying to like figure out who they are and finding out like Like figuring out their insecurities because there is a lot of insecurity in this book from both sides. I've read a lot of filthy fan fiction and the sex scenes. Were very very tame to me although when I read it the second time I was like. Oh there are a lot of sex scenes. I did not like our chapter to there was a chapter to it. I counted it was twenty pages. Yeah second time through. I was just kind of skipping through sex scenes I think that is a criticism that a lot of people had on good reads that there were too many sex scenes that they should have like cut down on the SMUT and I do agree in a sense because after like the first time I'm like like a first time when they like fully do it. I'm like I'm good like we don't need to like keep going here. Yeah I imagine there's some people who read it just for those scenes Berkshire audience and You know like I picked this because February Valentine's Day. This is our first adult romance novel and the thing about like the romance novel industry. It's very white and we've talked about this on the podcast. Actually our last episode about our W. A. And how problematic been yeah passed so Yeah like of all the Romance Novels. I've kind of heard and seen like in my inner circles like this is the first time I've seen like a an Asian character as like the lead and it's an Asian male character Jackson who you know it's not really the lead in anything. I mean now with crazy rich Asians. It's kind of like expected. Yeah or you're like widening out at least having things like a simple favor with Henry golding being the like love interests like there is at least a little bit of Lake. Maybe that being included Absolutely not enough but yeah I think that was also something that drew me to this book. It's just like it was different.
Trump furious that lawmakers were briefed on Russian election interference
"Intelligence officials are again warning congressional leaders of continuing Russian interference in U. S. elections Kaitlyn Collins reports on a briefing last week from Shelby Pierson of the office of the director of national intelligence essentially she is overseeing all of the intelligence related to election security she's coordinating all of that it's a new position and she told us lawmakers that their latest assessment is that Russia is trying to interfere in the twenty twenty election and if they are favoring president trump to wet president trump is described as infuriated Democrats were

Digital vs. Traditional Marketing like Billboards: Lessons Learned
"There is a long stretch of I. Eighty between Cheyenne Dan and Salt Lake City where I grew up that is almost nothing but highway and desert. I have driven this stretch a million times and over the holidays I was driving and again this time with my niece Katrine and my nephew Al Hundred John Reid received the majestic cargo train. It's natural habitat sir. David attenborough road trips eight miles and miles of mostly shrubs the occasional cargo train gene end billboards one set of billboards in particular large rooms. Great Rates Little America. My Niece Kaitlyn there. The billboards that we're seeing are all the same fancy truck stop slash hotel called Little America that is in the absolute middle of this middle of nowhere there for nearly a hundred miles these billboards show up every few minutes. Forty two miles to the little America. There's another one coming right up. After it and there in the desert we are a captive audience to running storyline of these billboards. Seventeen marble showers. Little even start intimidating them wings little America but there is one thing in particular that shows up on these billboards more than any other so often that people even write about this billboard in their online reviews of the truck style and this is the one that we've been decided about this. This one says seventy five cent cones fifteen miles little America rising up from the desert floor is a many many feet tall Paul delicious looking soft. Serve ice cream cone lawless world wing of that billboards like these have a special kind of place in our collective to road trip hearts. These days everyone online goes to the same websites. But once you get there we all get different personalized ads but with a billboard. Everyone drives this road. Sees the same ad and billboards they work the market for billboards continues to grow. There are currently about three hundred fifty thousand of them in America and more go up up every single day and one study. Found that billboards when you pair them with digital ads are more effective than print ads. And we're sorry to say than Radio Jio ads so it was probably inevitable that Katryn Alejandro and I did exactly as the billboards back into us to do all girl cheeses

"Salie and you need to let no one get your path because people will try to impede you from achieving your goals. People are fearful of success. They're scared of change it when they see someone that's driving change in in doing successful things the first thing most people do if they're intimidated by the judge and they tell you why you're not going to do it and what you can't do it. How even though you're taking the leap of faith from your job or career or your boyfriend or girlfriend? Whatever it is how it's not gonNA work? Everyone has such a glass half full attitude. No in general have empty glass half empty in general people. It's sad at sick but people wanNA see people fail. Oh they do of it. So if there's one thing that you do in twenty twenty pushed through all of that and don't let anybody dictate your course your life your outcome what you want except yourself but Jay I mean you know me I don't let people dictate dictate that but we also know is. There's a lot that happens. Like PASA microphones and some of these. Who when you let's say getting trolled or but it really bugs you only when your day? We'll talk about it but I also acknowledge the other side of it where we could sit over a beer. VR and laugh hysterically at some of the stuff that is very hurtful. Like I thought it was so funny and I'm not going to bring attention to the person I going to give their name. I laughed out loud and showed you at Buffalo Wild Wings and we laughed because this woman was literally literally calling me disgusting. She was like you're so gross. You disgusting you crave so much attention. And she's going off and often. I'm like she's literally stain. Everything that she is like. WHO's disgusting here? Your messaging some young girls and older woman just ripping her apart art and you have to admit that we do laugh about some of it too. Yeah but even that example. You're you're really hurt by you. I came up to me with that and you no. It was three other trolls. That said the same things at her but they were private no followers no following no one with fake accounts. What's this woman was a mother Christian mother of four live life to the fullest praise? Jesus that bothers me because I find it hypocritical. Yes the ones who are clearly making up accounts to do this to me. No I do not. What's it doesn't bother me? I get furious about certain people and again this is also stupid because I don't care if they are a acqu Christian mother for it shouldn't bother me no matter what I'm just I I'm just Morris being vulnerable right now same. No I think it's good and there's no space for on. It's you know what's going to be constant you know there's going to be feedback and I just think putting that in perspective is going to help you with that stuff I think. And maybe it's because you've only known me for a year but I have helped with some serious bullying and death threats and awful awful things so I have moved past a lot ignored a lot. It's just now I don't know if I'm getting more sensitive in my old age but I've I've I really have battled through a lot of of bullying and now it's just I guess I'm just annoyed but anyways anyway. Twenty twenty twenty. I'm going to ignore. It is what I'm saying good for you. I think that's amazing. I think that's awesome things. Do you know I think it's I think it's something that you definitely if we should do. Toxic energy kind of manifest. No I didn't that's what I'm saying. Is I want to be on the right vibrations and the the good positive vibes and I am not trying to turn it or say you were. You have always been very adored doored in the public eye and haven't gone through some like slut shaming or death threats or like people threatening your family magazine cover saying you're a horrible human like you having gone through the thick of it where it could possibly break you down and you're you don't deserve that. Of course nobody does. But I'm just saying I think I think it just broke me down and I think I gained thick skin through it but also become more sensitive to if that makes any sense does it. I think so. I mean you think naturally most people would probably think because you've experienced that and probably higher concentration years ago that at this point you're like say at all I've heard I've heard X Y and Z from ABC. And it doesn't bother me so I think that you would think the natural progression would be to say yeah. My skin is so thick it would take a freaking drill bit to get through because I just don't no I've heard it all so it's interesting that it's actually reversed. It's that when things were probably at the worst point in the highest concentration in the highest value. You weren't as sensitive to as you are when things are at a lower concentration lower volume for years of dealing with it. That's walt and I also think I've worked so hard to build my audience of people that trust me and I trust so. I think I do a lot of things that I do. I want want the people that follow me to support me the way I wanNA support them or I want to read all my facebook messages and and be a part of this community without any judgment because I feel like they're all family now where when there is rude people make we. Aren't we all family. Do love each other. which which I know is not realistic but families and in companies in the best of friends? There's obviously challenges hurdles there's feedback right like you take corrective feedback above me. No no no not tidy about me. I'm talking about in general like no matter what I know. You've built this community. There still within this community is going to be arguments and discussions and people that disagree in the NFL. Ration- and sometimes I get feedback. And I'm okay with that because of course everyone's not going to be butterflies and rainbows slipping through the world holding hands singing. Coon by like I I know that and I think that's sometimes what I want but I know it's not going to happen but I just I guess I feel held the responsibility now as someone who has I've brought these people together in the facebook group where I've brought brought these people together. Who follow me that? I think we should all be on the same page when that's totally not realistic. So upsets me when people don't all get along yeah and I think again like anything. We've you like politics the same parties but again if we could all think Jason that would make the world a lovely place. Your you're very you are. You're not understand that you're not that it has nothing to do with the way I'm thinking what I'm saying that you've built a community and within communities unity's that are built people have issues with their leaders pushback within political parties. There's huge huge nasty arguments and debates and within companies. So I think my point is. There's never a state of complacency where there isn't these like tough discussions negative feedback right and I totally agree with that. It's just that I somehow feel the responsibility of it. When now I have you know it's Kaitlyn Bristowe off the vine facebook group and ninety percent of it is the most empowering loving positive light changing things that I read and I cry and I'm just like it's the it's the thing I am? The most proud of so far is the people who who listened to the podcast and reading these instagram or facebook group messages. Everyone that's helped everyone been vulnerable and opened up and and no judgement but I think with However many twenty thousand people in a facebook group like you said it's politics people aren't all going to get along and the leader quote unquote get messages? Every other day will still until said this in your facebook group and I think you need to monitor this and this was hurtful and You know what your space has changed. And it's not as positive visit once was. I'm like what everything I see is the most. I just cried daily on that facebook group because but if we know one point zero one percent of negativity I have to hear about it and I feel like it's my responsibility to do something about it when I it's not. Do you know what I'm same same. No I get that. Yeah I think that example definitely makes it more understandable. Yeah anyways anyways very passionate about the vinyls. Well that's that's a good two thousand twenty goal. I think yeah I agree I I need to get back to focusing on all the positive even not letting that zero point zero one percent of negativity get to me all right. Let me ask you something. Have you ever dropped your phone. And then said a little prayer that it's going to be in one piece. He's going to pick it up. Just did it today actually. It's like a real life nightmare and I can't imagine having to go one day without my precious phone so the idea of it falling and breaking gene is absolutely terrifying and looking at all those hardcore protective cases out there. It always feels like in order to keep your phone safe. You gotTA sacrifice style but not not with my new phone case. From case defy case if I let you have the best of both worlds military grade drop protection and stylish phone case that. You'll actually WANNA I show off so no need for bulky phone cases that turn your phone into an ugly little brick case defy cases are as sleek.

Like good luck to you sir. This is going to be a very boring episode. Everybody knows everything and by the end of it I was like and I was addicted to Bellingham at one point in my life and you can laugh because I was but I'm over it and I really was like. Oh Oh thank you for saying that but I really don't. I realized my struggles and what I went through in life and I was like no. I've had it pretty good. You know like I don't WanNa complain. I've had a pretty good life but when you really dive deep or or think about what you've been through where you get to your like you get a little sense of pride and you're proud of yourself so no matter where you are right now in life or you have been or are you plan on going just know that something could happen tomorrow where it just changes your life life or what you've gone through and you think it's so hard it's you're GonNa thank that time in your life for where you're going to be later. I mean this is. This is Caitlin show. Joe I love it I love it but what you guys probably don't know this is a total buzzkill. Kaelin has go on through like she had a great upbringing and the biggest probably adversity that Chevron faces their parents got divorced but at eighteen again. What people people don't know it's like one thing we do in this world is we idolize the powerful the rich and the famous we love them? We WanNa hear from them. We want a picture with them. We WanNa like their photo photo but no one really takes much time to understand like where they've come from and why they're there and I think a quick testament to Kaitlin is at eighteen. Gene Kaitlyn lost her best friend in a car accident. Her rider died from age three and in with her in her twenties. She kinda detoured and she took life changes and she went on all over the place. And it's weird for me to talk about. But she she went to follow a guy who is a playing hockey in Germany and cheers for her to support his career in the relationship. Didn't work out in twenty eight. Caitlin was was in Vancouver. No joke living not a dollar to her name she had been in Germany gave gave it everything Gerbo friend and now she has all her belongings in hockey bag. Unbelievable trying to find a place to stay in her friends. Let her at her couches his twenty eight and six years five years later and by the way twenty eight trying to just blake she was. I thought my life was scrapping for a waitress job. And she's learning a menu at twenty eight nine dollars and a pocket and the reason I tell that is because I think that like change absolutely absolutely brings opportunity to just at break. The blueprint Iran in find such success in Kaelin. The one thing real quickly Kaelin always. That's all she always had a one thing. Only five percent of people actually have a goal in life so I ask everyone that walks oxide here. Like what's your goal Caitlyn. Twenty one had a goal. She knew what she wanted to be. She wanted to be ellen degeneres she wanted to be the Ryan seacrest women she wanted to host a podcast and radio talk show show that empowers women and changes people's lives regardless of what people say is right or wrong that was that was her vision at twenty one right. She always knew what that goal was. But Twenty eight. She was found living out of a God. Damn hockey bag asking phrase cal to couch. And it's five five years later and I'm pumping tires but I'm going to do it. And I'm only doing it. For a benefit in her social media falling shares over three billion followers. She has a podcast cast. It gets five hundred thousand a million and a half downloads. She is nominated for two thousand nineteen pop podcasts of the year with Joe Rogan. Jonathan Van. She is a scrunchy liner. Right now where I'm Ebay scrunch. He's selling for one hundred and fifty dollars. Because of the demand has a wine label. The list goes on and the point here isn't to say that Kaitlyn Bristowe is a hero or a goddess. The point is to say that change is going to find every single one of us and every single one of you and how you resilient adaptable a change in how you say no matter what changed comes comes my way. I'M GONNA find my way I'm GonNa make it happen is going to make you be where you want to be and everyone here can do that. And CAITLYN's an example and you guys are an example a beautiful beautiful thing. What a way to end the show I let all the vinyls and everyone author what she's done and what we're hearing to do it's awesome? I love it. I love you guys so so much I love you I love you blake. I seriously seriously every time I pinch myself before I come out here and all my girlfriends are like the stage was always yours. But now you don't have to share it because I get up with anyone. There'd there'd be like a plan and be like by Mo Wilner Nokia like I do not take this lately. I appreciate every single.

right the last the last several years the the international i scott i mean lucky enough to where it we've got a royal ascot gina as well jeanine scott on the same royal ascot show now skull comes over and does a great job for fatigue as well then dubai and dubai together on on that show so yeah trips have been right i mean you can't get rid of me and to be honest with you our our our first encounter we always have we have this connection our first encounter which bad pinch is not here for this story because we're all together was the two thousand seven breeders cup at monmouth park it was my first big remote for HR TV it was was your first go second chauffeur ESPN yeah and it was lafitte lafitte was during the winter cycle presentations i show and we somehow not surprisingly found each other and managed to hang out more than a few times it was of course that week it was often oblique experience that we well saturday and sunday uh about friday and saturday but we're not talking about the weather though you're you guys were well the rain was what i call crying baby rain you think naturally has to stop but it never does danger this week that was is that was as frustrating a scenario as you'll ever going to have around racetrack it was gorgeous every single day that i got i got to meet scott hazelton think either third how i was blessed and we've not looked back since twelve years later here we are that was i i was there broadcasting for for me that was actually my first that was the first season of the show when i was alone was two thousand seven and broadcasting from from the from john heinz office that compound here and the show was four o'clock at that time four to seven so i was there all day and i basically ended up answering phones and helping people tickets and and really i was always met the days i that's one of my fondest memories let's get some let's get some thoughts and nick i always rely on you for international purposes however you've been covering all the lead ups so you know your opinions can go far beyond the the euro's but from an introductory stand point some of the horses this year that that are are kind of new and of course we had not a bayton switch but magical and up disappearing at the last minute and it was frustrating because she was ready to the sun aim she'd have been the marquee name as she'd been here given i welsh around last year and the season she's hiding she went on champions are champions weekend but she's not so on we go there isn't not substan- aim if you'd like to to hang the european challenge on but it scott some debt and there are plenty of hoses who legitimate i think probably the most interesting pair of horses is old persian and anthony van dyck see whether they can whether they can let down to bricks and mortar on the on the turf in the mile and a half race and whether they can expose any shortcomings in in bricks and mortar stamina i don't if you saw the clip on on twitter of me accosting chad yesterday it was a good natured exchange i said to my overcomplicating it he said you always complicate everything i think the the influence i was supposed to draw was that breaks it was just a good horse and i i think he'd be impervious to distance but i i think there's a dealer confidence in the ballydoyle camper van dyken can step up i think you'll have to step up a bit even though he's won a dobby and finish that in an irish champion stakes i think he needs another little step foot but they seem to think he's had the perfect preparation and he's by no means an afterthought they've had this race lined up for him since the summer and that always when we get to this juncture very often we've talked about horses that at the last set again they said oh let's go and and those horses invariably don't run well exactly so it's it's great that he's he ain't going great record in the race he's probably comparable to one one or two of his winners atn equivalent stage of their career he's he's legitimate and i can't seem finishing out of the out of the front path really i said to michelle when i was chatting to a yesterday on on the TV gee breakfast show and i'll say it again if old persian doesn't get any love from the batter's he's probably worth passing because on his full from your last year and his form for made on earlier this year a mile and a half on firm turf he's a he's a very good host but he does need to take a leap forward from the canadian run which was just okay even though he won the triple digit bar though did he not a one can rier you can run fast but just there wasn't much depth to the race fair enough for the work that i want to bring up to is a lou neck the ville de mar hicks runner because if desert encounter doesn't make that spectacular run at woodbine doesn't doesn't he show up here with a little bit of a little i'm chad i'm chairman of the desert encounter fan club only only a really ardent admirer of his exploits think he would have any kind of a show in anna breeders cup too so i think he's a show plan alaniz maybe he's honest horse who has proven that he's effective in north america but i think that's about us boulder cases i can make fair enough at an eugene you sort of perked up at the mention of his name all right yeah i actually agree with nick on the on the breeders cup turf but i just saw time christmas go past this morning on friday i think that's pretty amend as a bit of a lottery that race and they're coming down the hill and you want to get a good break and be drawn well and and get on with proceedings but the europeans quite well drawn in that race seems to be quite a few in with chances is one that's really so stamped his authority on the five furlongs sprint division at home it's a nice little horse his knee and actually when you see him go past he's not going to take the i really but i think he could be quite interesting and he's in a good spot there archie watson does really well with his juvenile he's bringing over a runner and band practice i think it's been joined in two so you'd expect him to had to be sharp and out and and another one with a with a chance but i think the juvenile houses some sometimes the race is that europeans can can occasionally pinch on the turf and there's a few interesting ones this year lucky though that with it being it's a different this year because this is only the second year of the juvenile turf sprint they had but they didn't it wasn't consecrated until she was able to race on the on the go a bit but having it around the band i think that the wesley horses have the advantage of their speed they out of the gate they get that position on the turn and then while you know it's it's game over it's not what you know the european i used to i think camario win if she breaks she's i know that's the that's the if i honestly think she's she couldn't it took a role of keeneland didn't that it took a rule of the stretch kaitlyn and then they're not gonna come back here i don't think we saw last year pledges hose just came out and blasted a multiple that was a different type of course it was it was i guess but i i don't know i think she wins if she breaks success good chances we'll drive drive yeah it's interesting they've taken a ali to wolverhampton to try and chain around the bend and get used to that because you know they you say they all going to encounter different different conditions today sir friday and they've only been running on the straight it's tough five gallons they've had to practice changing awesome getting out quickly and coming around a bend if you were there's there's one thing that unites ceos like a ali in the juvenile turf sprint and a host like anthony van dyke in turf is that this fixture has been on the top of their agenda since the summer so you're talking about hostess who are being specifically targeted at the breeders cup there's to die yet would be another one in the long race for fillies on the turf the to your own race on the tough and raja verion before she even one and finish second on an island in the moya he was saying i want to go to california with an east had some success with osa finishing placed in breeders cup races before they they have three hoses who have been typically targeted at this fixture right from the word go this year

"Ideas panel we pair Joseph Gordon led Ah Tony Shay CEO Zepos and on the Sunday we recorded the talk your about to hear Kaitlyn Bristowe of the Bachelor and Bachelorette in Congress station with Comedians Nikki glaser now listeners I'm a big fan of Nikki's she is absolutely hilarious legit one of the funniest people in the world but what don't know very much about is something called the bachelor nation so to give us some insight I brought in the big guns as my co host today t be guide associate editor Liam Matthews Liam is co host of a beautiful podcast to fall in love that's TV guides unofficial bachelor nation. podcast is co host on the show is Jacqueline Trumbull from season twenty two of the bachelor as well as Bachelor in Paradise Liam Matthews Welcome to the talk house man what is up hey hey I'm so glad you could join us I need your expertise good sir well I am so glad that my expertise in this finally comes in handy so tell us tell us a little bit about the show and tell us a little bit about Kaitlyn Bristowe audiences met Kaitlyn Bristowe in two thousand fifteen on crystals a season of bachelor so then the next season of the Bachelorette she and another woman were chosen as co Bachelorettes and that was the first time they did that ran the lab last time they did that it was a disaster okay so she was the one that the men chose and she ended up having a very important season and she kind of changed the franchise and a lot of ways in what ways so her season was one of the first times that the show ever talked about sex there was also I have to say I watched a few clips before for Kaylin joined us live at license beautiful we don't see much but we hear some stuff from behind closed doors I met season yeah absolutely yeah but because she hooks up with this Guy Nick v all so he's he's another important guy but before the end of the show before the fantasy suites the fantasy suites when the final three the final three contests let's get you have an overnight date okay okay that's good steam much they hooked up before which you know it was like very controversial and then he brought it up during their reunion and he said if you weren't in love with me why did you make love to me Oh it was a very very controversial moment because she didn't pick him she picked another guy so he was accused of slut shaming her I can see why right and bringing this thing out into the open but it was a great thing bring it out into the open I think because it made the show more honest and as we know Kaitlyn Bristowe is very honest and very you know forthcoming talking about sex on the Bachelorette led to the conversation with Nikki Glaser you're about to hear definitely here's what's interesting about Caitlyn as well to me after her time on the bachelor and the Bachelorette she's launched a couple of pretty successful businesses there's a scrunchy line called do edit do you know about this if I don't okay just sounds crazy she started this she does limited runs of scrunchy that she designs right they sell for seventeen folks online but on Ebay these are going for literally anywhere from sixty five to one hundred fifty bucks a pop for one scrunchy do these like the ease of scrunchy -solutely it's nuts and then she also just launched her own line of wines called spayed and Sparrow Oh Caitlyn is an entrepreneur yeah putting their own brand together that's good I mean seventeen dollars for a scrunchy seems like a lot on its own it does to me I mean don't you buy those three for a buck or two right I haven't worn scrunchy so many years I don't know Caitlyn's also started her own podcast don't let compete with yours hers is called off the signed with Kaitlyn Bristowe now the other guest on today's show has actually appeared on off the vine and it was so fun to get Kaitlyn Bristowe and Nikki glaser together you're on the talk house podcast Nikki's hosted three hit podcasts to acclaim TV shows she's appeared on late night far too many times to count multi bill specials and toured the World Liam intersecting with your work over TV guide she's also famously appeared on dancing with the stars yes Kaitlyn bristowe famously did not and they talk about that on the show she was on dancing with the stars I think last year and she was the first person eliminated. which is it's honor Asandra for sure that's a rough one well back to doing what she does best her new net flicks special banging just dropped October I I watched it yesterday the day came out you just washed it this morning yeah we both found it to be fucking hilarious really really funny I watched it on the subway here in New York I and I was that guy like the one who was like laughing out loud and trying not to betray now of course with this being Kaitlyn Bristowe and Nikki glaser this is a hilarious talk yes it's very funny very no fucks given filtered Raunchy sexual podcasts home we certainly hear a lot about both of their sex lives again I refer to my bachelor nation expert tell us about Caitlin yes so if you are a bachelor fan you're listening to this podcast and you want to hear about her relationship with Jason you're going to hear a lot you're going to hear a lot about Jason Tar ticks penis if you want to know if you want to know what it's like she'll tell you all about it and she does but she addresses another kind of on this show Liam the creator of the Bachelor yes so the creator of the Bachelors this Guy Mike Fleiss who she blames for not letting her go on dancing with the stars and who recently was arrested for abusing his wife well charges were dropped but he's just a notorious figure just like none of well liked guy he's he'll he's a real he'll and on this show they openly call him a piece of shit which you almost ever hear the former lead of a show call the show's creator so unfiltered raw this conversation definitely is all of those things kate also spill some tea on her complicated relationship with Jj Lane yes who she saw at Ashley and Jared's wedding which we get some Sinus and we hear a lot about Ben Higgins yes Nikki Love Ben Higgins as we all do which season was Ben he was on Caitlyn season okay and then he was the bachelor Gotcha listeners? Cya You bring in an expert Oh my God you don't know this absolutely hilarious talk also takes in the benefits of getting tied up in bed why men should explore they're assholes dating bisexuals and Nikki Changes Caitlyn's life teaching your head a fart silently Sri rotate spread them cheeks give me a big license beautiful welcome Nikki Glaser Kaitlyn Bristowe I'm usually used.

I only did it once but i'm more likely because i'm the one who cooks i would say i'm more likely yes in the relationship. I'm super clumsy like if i try sell something if i have to walk down a tight rope and there's one hundred feet below me i will walk down title v hereford dictate roadblocking nine on but if i literally i'm not paying attention. I just have to take like one step outside the door. I will follow over spill my coffee. My head burned my scalp feet over my own feet on the street disaster disaster. Gee just a stream burst. I love it sour patch or swedish fish sour patch. Yeah nobody gummy bears or gummy cherry gummy bears lecture heller cherry gummy bear many give you a abi and then we'll go back to your game. You can either have sour patch watermelon and sour patch cherries or like the flavor sour gummy worms and gummy bears. I i am so lost in a tag team sour in a tag team match because tomorrow in the u._s. open and it's going to be the women's doubles championship act in a doubles championship. You have sour gummy worms and gummy bears on the same team verse. We'll do sour sour watermelon and sour cherry candy who wins the match. Would you like me to give you a little boyfriend tip right now i should do. They asked you. I wanted the advice because he could have said no one. I want to tell joe strategy all right so we weren't very direct with relationship advice but hopefully there. You got some <hes> but i like these questions. Can we talk about share the music video. Yes please i think we should i mean it's it's kind of a cool story and it comes that we have to drop it tomorrow. I think let's don't you kind of tee it up because people were asking. How did you even end up in a music video. Okay what's going on in the music. Just tell the story so brett. Kissel is an amazing country singer. He has been just absolutely working his deck off stop. He's been working as asaf since he was really young performing. He's just an incredible artist and he's now he's from a small town very close to my small town in alba canada and now he lives in nashville with his <hes> durable family. I'm obsessed with all of them and so he kind of became friends because he golfed with my dad dad and then i had him on my podcast and then we hung out and so he was like a really want authentically in love couple to be in this video because i want i want it to be like really believable and i want want people to feel that through the music video and so he asked us and we were like hell yeah and so we went to the bahamas us and we basically were told to make out for two days straight out and luckily for softcore likely likely in we're having a good week. I wasn't on my period so we were. What does that have anything to do with because i get i get. I don't wanna a touch and i don't feel sexy. I'm so it was a good week to be warned up on the music video anyways and so i didn't know like i. I've never been in one music video. Oh please google the cruzeiros load me up. I can't even imagine all nineteen and i was a cheerleader and the men were about sixty years old. I've taught funny story real quick. Wow we really really yes so you bring up a music video and you get fat. Just think people need to hear this so kaelin family. We're family dinner after a few drinks and we're starting to get towards like dessert so before pretty into it. In kaelin starts telling this story of how when she was younger this producer it kinda like manipulated her into coming up with choreography and this is why i'm thinking of the story because she was talking about the toll the storm podcast okay. I'm gonna make a long story story short. She comes up with a routine. She's paid for the routine. She presents the routine and then she's telling our family that she finds out that this is all for a porno in my and in my family who is relatively like politically correct like what the fuck so she's done yeah and he'd say they said what the fuck correct wreck know politically. They're very open but they're just like what's like. This took. A wild stirred so you're talking about. How you came up with choreographer. You didn't know as a puerto but it was four porno and the whole purpose purpose your story when you're pissed. You didn't get paid so yeah kaelin story and all of us. We'll forget about the twenty two hundred dollars. The guy owed who'd you came up with choreography for a porn. I didn't know it then you didn't know it. You're yeah and then you're like well. It worked so i get fit the script of course i'm not gonna. I'm not gonna choreograph porno dance aid for did you. When you you korea on you did the choreography. You didn't know it was no. What did you think it was nice to question. I thought it was just for a movie role like i thought it was a girl what kind of movie because this guy had lied to me and he had been in the restaurant with some pretty legit actors so i thought it was for like a big movie. I didn't ask questions. I don't know i was was like twenty and what kind of moves were choreographed. They won't like what are we talking like a sexy jazz routine because i've seen you go like it's just like like it was like on a pole. I'm just getting no. I was just like a sexy jazzy routine. I wasn't there. I just yeah i never in a million years thought. I'd be choreographing a porno. It was just so funny the way you're telling so am choreographing for a porno moves were great and i'm just pissed. Get paid. We're all like back up all right so carry on about the first music video. I apologize for interrupting and so what i'm saying is technically. This is my second music video but we're really excited about it. Brett is just incredibly talented. He's such a great human. Were honored to be a part of his music video and you can watch it on youtube. I believe but we're gonna put up on instagram to the song is called drink about me and it's the catch is frequent song. It's so good and <hes> yeah intimate of the the comment and rate and review the island was picturesque and it was it was actually it was like one of the most beautiful moments i think we've shared it was just his cameras blinded it up yeah. I'm also getting a text right now from my canadian buddy david that tomorrow the u._s. open one were there serena williams is playing bianca so we have an american versus canadian is canadian women's championships battles here. We're gonna have to put some money on this. Take shots shots. Listen to this question from amanda one of the vinyls. I'm really actually very curious to hear your thoughts on this j. amanda onto asks. How do you address your insecurities with your body to your significant other. I lost a lot of weight and absolutely hate the way my boobs look now. I'm too uncomfortable to take my bra off on. A guy tries to copperfield. I pull away. It's caused issues in the past and i feel like it turns guys away especially because most men are all about the body image. What are your thoughts. That's on that first of all most shitty. Men are all about the body image is my thought on that okay well so here. Here's what here's my thought is that in the beginning parts relationship like your first date <hes> being realistic. Are you going to bring that up absolutely not but if you're interrelationship and i've been in relationships chips where i have an where i haven't now i'm in one or a haven't but you can't address some of your insecurities. I think the deeper rooted issue is communication because because you're so invested in worried about what they think but you can't tell them what really matters more than anything. I think this example was. What was that where she lost awesome bunch of weight so she didn't like the way her boobs in this example. It's the what the boobs look like because of the way she lost weight. The core of if you bring it down pass at its communication and think think about the strength in bond that you can build within your relationship if you were to talk to your significant other and say listen like for us for me and for my happiness penis i've lost this weight and it's making me a better person but as a result of that this has happened and i just i'm insecure about like and i'm not asking for you to do anything. I just want you to know. It's a touchy subject because there's so many things that go on known now you don't say anything you try and cover it up you try and hide it and he makes one comment that even touches the surface of that insecurity and it could that ends the relationship etcetera so in my perspective like what i have found with caitlin is like even even though it's tough when i'm insecure about something i try to get ahead of it to let you know of it and what ends up happening. Is you actually value the fact. I was proactive proactive in that communication more than anything which is wild what can happen when you're open with your communicates the end that's too to me being open in communication about that sort of thing takes a lot of confidence too and i think confidence is such a sexy thing on another person like if she was like oh my gosh i lost all this weight because i was like i got kicked ass and worked hard and as a result this happened and i'm super insecure about it. I'd be like that's hot that she just said that. You're right so the other thing too. Is i think in communication where people fail is execution and delivery right because when you speak with your ego and your condescending or you're at you you have an attitude or there's tone you completely remove the entire value of what you're saying so in my opinion we're talking to each other. If i say something that's direct consecutive commanding no matter what i'm saying the value of that's gone <hes> so i think in conversations like this have to be vulnerable non-confrontational and you have to lead with your heart not your ego and i think the things that will solve that are just immeasurable and i think also he probably has insecurities about his buddies to everybody does and it's just a matter of talking about them. In my opinion we've talked about our insecurities like mind securities. I'm insecure about insecure about the fact. I snore like i'm embarrassed by it. Which is so easy to about that so there's things that's one of them but there's other things to talk about that. We don't need your cell perfect that you'd have one thing wrong would stop it so you snore look just getting look. I'm i've been so insecure about. I mean so many issues but i've worked on that for so long but like i'll tell you like what who what girl in the world likes to be spoon so you're laying on your side and why does the guy always go for your lower tummy always you're spooning and he just just wants to rub the one part. That's the hardest place on your body to lose weight always. I can't relate to that flat stomach yeah but yeah i think i think you nailed it with what you said and what's funny is because i said well then that guys piece shit she. He's also why why the hell do. I keep attracting unavailable shitty men where the jason talks at she said it's actually forget about the juice though that's all bullshit and what matters is. I think you have to do the screening. There's red flags. If you're looking for someone to date you can easily identify what makes a good person. Listen quick conversation. I mean they cannot looking for a person a date that night and the guy that wants to marry you is gonna love your boobs cbs lauren asks. What's your advice for working on open communication with your boyfriend or significant other lately. My boyfriend and i have been bickering about dumb shit and i've realized that our communication skills with each other aren't vibe and right now. I'm very open and want to talk about how things make me feel but he is the total opposite and even says he's not good good with words so help assist to out. I'm going to help assist her out now. Sister.

I that's cool if you're listening but i don't know favorite memory of me growing up oh gosh well actually blots when she he was little but one of my favorites was when i saw you perform on stage like i knew you. Could i remember them. I knew exactly what you're look at. Those beautiful sailboats cool they. I know what you're talking about the lyrical solo and it hurts it so bad and i because i always knew caitlyn's potential as a dancer but felt she how back because i know people aren't going to believe this but she didn't want to stand out nine. No she didn't wanna you know look special or better than than anybody else and it was like no. Don't don't really look at me but i did hold back dancing. What did he did. Hold back and i tried to tell you why held back because if i didn't i would have been doing a dance career and unhappy and i wouldn't have been on this path. Hey that doesn't mean dancers are unhappy if they follow the path no of course not your path wasn't meant to be that exact so you held back but this one day i sat there and watched you. Do the dance in your lifetime was the dance my career. It was and i remember. I got scholarship from you. Did you did and it was the tough glass like really highlight of my life beating one of the girls from shelley's dance studio and have the best of the best and there were like thirty in that class and yet yeah. You blew me away there. I was very proud because you showed what you were made made of in that little moment in time you little dance mom if people don't know mom's career growing up and in your life was a professional ballerina so no shit your dance mom yeah but but to see your daughter perform like that yeah. Just sorry let you down every other time. Well i tried to talk to you. Gotta let that go now all right. It totally no resentment. It'll darcy smallwood asks. How do you feel about caitlin and jason's relationship home now. Don't make me get a little teary now. They we are young yang is that we had a yin and yang. They are opposites attract. Apparently they balance each other so well and their communication is inspiring. It's i've never had anything like this yeah yeah. It's really i it anything like excuse me i can be like. I am feeling so insecure about this because of this and here's why because in in my last relationship i felt like this and then he goes wow. I'm so glad you explained that to me and i will be cognizant and now here's what i can do for. You and i'm like all right great. Bring it on or if we fight. I feel like i'm just like i'm a little dramatic and he just he's just like he won't put up with it but he just knows he just just knows to not push my buttons. Well no and he lets you feel what you feel yeah. He lets me feel and doesn't dismiss your feelings. He does not which is very very important relationship so i think they are so sweet and i smile a lot seeing them together and think about this three hundred sixty five days ago my word when i was sitting in this chair yes it today yes it. It was a very rough time <hes> last spring and summer <hes> it was horrible to watch you. There was nothing that we could do do but now you were hurting so bad and you tried really you gave it your all. I mean i'm proud of that too that i know that yeah you know that but it was terrible <hes> to watch your child. Will any of your children like to see them. Hurting you. Uring you wanna take it away from them. Why is heartbreak and love worse than like anything in the world well laddish into us again dramatic but like why is heartbreak so it takes everything out of you didn't get out of bed and i just was like cried cried and cried and cried. I feel like at one point. I was like a child like like on the floor crying. Why does i held you in my arms. My son china okay yeah because heart because that's i. I believe women feel heartbreak break more than men or not knowledge it more yeah. We acknowledge it more. We feel it more more. They numb it and just turn learn most yeah most most do but heartbreak. It's heart. That's that's your so yeah so if there is such a thing as as a disease noah syndrome it's called heartbroken syndrome yeah yeah and it can affect the rhythm of your heart. It can affect so many things lost like eight pounds. I was like yeah and back then you didn't need to know it was awful and then you have people making comments away your body anyway. It was a very fragile time from last year to this year. It's a three hundred sixty sixty five yeah three sixty yeah okay couple more haley. Johnson asked what has been the hardest to watch caitlyn. Go through through this entire experience but what we talked about we talked about was the hardest but also through when the show was airing <hes> not the bachelor because you had a blast on the bachelor <hes> i mean your first line when you walked in. You should told me what you were going to say to what resources <music> but yeah we found out after my dad high five me but it was difficult for cult family goes on <hes> and you are away from us without yeah communication and so things happen and yet but the hardest thing to watch go through was when it was airing and we would have these parties where where all our friends would come over and everyone just wants to watch and talk and be loud and laugh and you're like shut up and listening to every word. I missed so much but we recorded it plus. <hes> one of the producers sent haley d._v._d.'s of oh. That's nice yeah yeah very nice. Now wonderful ever be able to watch it a well. I haven't been able all too. I don't feel you will because it would just make me sad well but you know it is what it is and it brought you to where you are i know but it was still very difficult and then knowing what people were saying and but it's all good i know you are grateful for the experience because because <hes> took me a while but i'm there and finally maggie griffin asks can she adopted me. Can you know that's your goals. Well you know i think everyone who has a mom has a special bond and and even their moms still not here. They probably had a special on at some point yes and if they didn't then they have a special bond with somebody who felt like a mom to them. That's right. There's always somebody a mother mother figure to anybody as a special bond yeah yeah mine with rahman. I think he likes he loves you okay so last thing. We're gonna play game. Okay what i thought that was no those were just some <hes>. Thank you all by the way for your questions and thank you. Are you canadian media. Okay this is i mean that's basically still questions but we're gonna make it into a game so did tenant data. It does renton. That didn't all right folks. We go first up on the board when i was little. What did you think we're gonna make these rapid fire so answering quickly what else little. What did you think i was going to be when i grew up an actor really an actor okay interesting. I i mean i was thinking as a dancer broker. What's the funniest thing i ever said or did. As a kid you were mad and then so you in grave your initials initials in the oak railing at our house. I always carved things heaped car. I'm still rebelling can laugh now member. Ah you'd think i'd be one of those kids. That would go graffiti. That's that was your that was your graffiti guess. What was the first time you heard me curse. I remember this. Show me tell you it was when the next door. Neighbor's house was on fire and i thought i thought we were going to catch fire and you guys weren't home. That's trey and i was sitting on this little beige love seat in our living room and i said mom i'm gonna swear. I'm so scared right now. I'm good so it was like i was trapped in home like can you just walk in the door like you're not gonna burn and i said and that was like whoa i say poop growing up. You couldn't say stupid. You still can't say stupid. I don't like that word. You totally get why you're gonna say stupid. But why couldn't they say poop. No you couldn't talk about this on the last guy i'm sure we did. Let's carry-on are ya know. Let's not a mom wouldn't let me say poop growing up so we called poo and pee big pots and little. Where does it come from. I don't know nobody really bite. Slumps and little plops would have been a big pot. I don't a female ceos party me. I'll go by two big pots. Yeah that was poop. Potty body reminds me of that. Show <hes> that musical with the teapot blue chip. Yeah yeah big the little pop. What would you have named me. If i was a boy oh i know what his land in bruce. Landon bruce bruce was your dad's dad. Dad's dead yep bruce from finding nemo. Do you ever drop me as a baby well. That would explain a lot. Doing i know no. I don't know why ask that. I and what was my favorite t._v. Show growing them. Today's show it's forever you want to do today. Special do do come join in the fun due to do this. Magic everywhere a world share and family faces. No friendly friendly faces hoping that you'll want to see us there at today's show do it's one and then they'd go today's today's special is brought to you then and then they'd have different segments every time and it was about a mannequin only in canada you guys you can watch in the states. All canadians will probably be loving the it was about a mannequin in a department store and when somebody took off his hat he came alive stir everywhere after the doors were closed the the security guard would carry him into this crenshaw okay yeah mr crenshaw he'd carry them in and then if you took his hat he'd come to life and dance and also also you liked where in the world is carmen sandiego manda and of course full house and you're missing one days of our lives. Yeah i never got into that district did all my children all the way susan lucci right right right. What what was the most embarrassing hairstyle ever had well bangs were out to hear. Oh <hes> well when you did it yourself and then you thought you were cool. You put five ponytails. Oh cute. I don't remember i think lowers hairstyles when lindsay accidentally really put gum in my hair and i had to cut it out and then i had like an alfalfa sprout growing out of my head. It's still there now. Those are just broken baby. Here's at the front and then last no two more two more like these. What age of mine did you love the most. Oh <hes> mm-hmm. I liked actually age three. I love kids at three three such a funny why what was i like it like three a year old. You were like this toddling little <hes> mimic everything your sister did you did everything thing and then you wanted to be able to do everything at three that you do when you're six like your sister took piano lessons so i wanted. Do you want it to be like that's every kid but then but then you'd run around naked after the bath and go jump on the bench i think you've posted a picture of this and i played piano naked and you play the piano without even taking lesson area no yes. I've got a little musical gene and thank you to shoot dad's death. Yes and haley also played by ear sure and it would driver piano teacher crazy saying you have to read the notes and she says why i can just play it..

I love her Brown long Brown hair wrong. That's funny. And so I was do this segment on my podcast where we confess. Anything you want to get off your chest to us where you feel like you know what as long as you've got. I will take any sort of confession and we wash away your sins with my line and whatever you feel. Good ones. Like you gotta, I wanna say, that's the best kind tell you one. And that's all say that's PG rated confessions. So make it. Good one. Oh, gosh. I like a bit of a goody, two shoes to come up with, like a we'll eat. We'll come back to all the ships back to shows real quick. They all then real estate focus because you said that you had mentioned that you started write a script for show, and then you pitched it when you wrote the script for the show was that because it sounded like you flipped your first real estate deal after that, now, we had already flipped a house before. Well, maybe, maybe we actually you know what I think you're right..

Another canadian. Timing. Timing sucks something, but I did I was eighteen I moved here from Canada. And I told my parents like it, December just before Christmas. I'm like, come January moving to Nashville. I was like, I don't know what I'm gonna do. And get there and I have like three hundred dollars Canadian which as you know, is like. Dollars nine bucks. When I got here, I had one name this, this professor in Canada, at Fanshawe in London, had given me a name of a guy who was a song writer. And so I called him up because I didn't have any money, and he was like, yeah, you can stay on my sofa, and what I showed up, Dave answered the door, and I thought, Dave was gay. No one dresser. One click your dress. I you know, of course, was a little scared in a little nervous, but I knew I had to stay and not because he was gay because I was hoping from another country. And my mom was like, you know, we haven't found you a place to stay it was like you know what? David seems really sweet so within the first week REBA mcentire had offered me a production deal. And I had I had a management deal. All this stuff..
Is there really a 'best time' to work out?
"Best time to work out. There is like scientifically no best time day gone. I it doesn't matter. What matters is that you do it. So if for you morning workouts, work best for your schedule. That's the best time for you to work out for you evening, workouts, work better for your schedule. That is the best time for you to work out. So to me, I'm like I need to be in the morning, otherwise, I won't get it done. That's that's how I am. Yeah. The next thing is I do generally recommend for people to work out in the morning because it's so easy to get home. And be like, a really, no, I'm tired. I had a long day. I don't want to work out my motivation is like negative, and then you don't get a good workout out of it. If you do go because you're like, I'm not exactly so and also I do think morning workouts are great because you'll have so much more energy through the rest of the day in. I'm a night owl. So it's not even like, I'm like Chipper. I wanna be up until two in the morning, working or whatever. So for me to work out in the morning. It's like a huge effort. But it's just it's you know, it's worth it.

"Now back to off the vine with Kaitlyn bristowe. Old town or north beach. Canadian rockies. Nope. Actually going out west. Okay, hometown. Yes. So break they go surfing. What do you think? I I don't know. That was a really cute little flirty moment. Her teaching him. How to surf it was endurable that he didn't know how to serve and that she was in her element teaching him in. He couldn't do it. That was a really adorable moment. But then I got but then it got weird. Yeah. So it was it was cute. They're they're clearly really cute together dorm, right? Like, they're cute. Connection. Yeah. And then. Let's go back to his surfing, real quick one thing. That's funny about Colton. I've noticed he's either all in all out. Right. So football. The guy was a pro football player seem to play basketball. It's incredible Daikin thank from the can dunk from anywhere. You give them a golf club. Can't do it. You surf it's like, the guy seems like he's the most athletic guy, when you watch them surfing when you watch him golfing when you watch them play pool some of these things, but then these other things like basketball and football. It's like this guy's a frequent nature areas. That is funny though that he is such an athlete, but then you put them on like a surfboard, and he's like he was like, oh, my paddle board had. Very different. Very different. But yeah, they I don't know what it was. But like, I'm questioning her feelings for him. Well, I think we all are obvious. She's questioning her feelings, I do respect that she's holding back and being like, I really want mean it, and I want to be all in. But it's like at this point when you're about to take him to meet your family, knowing he's going to ask for your father's permission. You should know. You're falling in love with him. Sure. The other thing I think about too is that he has three other women. Right. But you could tell he still so upset and bothered that she won't give him what he's asking for..

I was going to see in the studio with me because that's usually go to line, but I'm in the hotel room, my hotel room, and I was gonna say with one of the cutest couples. But we're your flying solo today. So. So I'm with raven from bachelor in paradise from bachelor ler bachelor bachelorette. Yeah. Although you should have been the bachelorette. I appreciate that would you net. Here's my thing is I don't think I am built for bachelorette. I didn't think I was either. I don't think I could handle the scrutiny. I just you know, I think it's a blessing that I wasn't really. Yeah. I think you would have done really great. And I think people would have really loved you. You've got. I mean, you'll get scrutiny. No matter if you're bachelor, bachelor and paradise. But whatever you are you're gonna receive some of that. But yeah, I think you would have done really well as a bachelorette. Thank you. I appreciate that compliment. But we will never know. And I'm okay with that. Yeah. And what's your your with Adam? Now who's on Joe Joe season, you're on Nick season. He then you met on bachelor in paradise. He was on Rachel season. Oh what? Yeah. I know. He. Isn't memorable. No, he's very memorable skit on Paradis. I thought he was on. He was on Rachel season. Okay. And he got let go like fifth or sixth third. I dunno. Okay. And then you guys built your romance through paradise. Right. So when Rachel came home, you know, because Rachel was like my best girlfriend on the show and when Rachel came home from her season. I was like okay down the who should I meet..

"Now back to off the vine with Kaitlyn bristowe not a question that I feel like people ask or one answer. But what would ex-girlfriend say are your flaws too? Good one. That's a rain quest. Nineties winning. No like, everybody's always on their best behavior on the for states. And let's get to the nitty gritty. Okay, we're thirties. Now, I know ex baby eight z my I would like to know everybody's flaws about you go first, I'm more than happy to go. And I'll be sell for an honest. Okay. I say that I've definitely gotten better, but I'm a little bit selfish because I don't realize I'm being selfish, but like also like takeover conversation too much, or I'm like kind of loud, or I'm like, I've got a bit of attitude which can come off where it's it's more of like, my sarcasm, and I'm like tone, but guys get really mad at me for. Attitude and being selfish when I'm don't think I'm selfish at all. But yeah, I can I can seem that way because I'll be like I won't put myself in somebody else's shoes in a relationship. I'll be like that really hurt my feelings. And then I'll go something that was kind of similar and be like all stop being a baby. Yeah. Yeah. I'm a little bit selfish in that way. And I have a bit of an attitude. Yeah. I'm trying to think of what like my ex-boyfriends and things would say, I would say, I'm I know exactly what mine would say what? Two things first that. I will walk all over someone who doesn't have the balls to stand up to me or be my heart might prey on the weak because I don't like that. No. I just I just mean that if you can't be like same to your point if someone can't say like shot the apple of yet. Like, I will I'll Russia because I got my own stuff going on. It. I'm very kind of the week, and then the strong, I just shit. I'm kinda like that bring this bitch. You leave them alone. I think that might be my problem. I think I'd take some jabs at people who think they're like, I just I don't know I've grown to be like doing doing me doing my thing there so long that if I don't have someone to be there with me to also have their stuff going on and also be independent and wake up and have their thing. Then it's not gonna work because I will just like do my own thing. And I'll, you know don't match me fine. I'll walk all over you. Yeah. You know? And that's sucks. I don't wanna be that way. Yeah. But that would that's what my ex would say. Yeah, for sure. Yeah. I would I say what we resented each other. Because I was always. Yeah. Jumping off doing the next thing wasn't much of a personality for some people to. Oh, yeah. Like, I think some people just like one time take a back seat one time. And I'm like, no. Yeah. No. Yeah. You took a. I have an attitude you take. Nor by shooting all by. About it Jason. So I would say the one like thinking about like I'm getting e like early twenties even mid twenties..
