"Once. We finally got permission from joe wilkes to speak with sam. Pegg joe's best friend from high school. The floodgates opened. Sam told us that she loves joe and doesn't believe he killed yvonne lane march thirty first nineteen ninety nine but regardless she also said he told her months after the murder that he did it and he told her that before. The murder even happened. That david thorne yvonne's boyfriend wanted joe to get rid of her. I know david wanted him to okay. And i was under the impression that they've was gonna pay him to. Did he tell you that david wanted him to do that. He did he tell you that multiple times. Okay okay before. It happened or like months before we had never heard this before. This was never in any of her statements to the police or grand jury and we consider she was making it up but for what purpose sam even said but i guess you gotta get david out too. So why would she implicate david. If she thinks helping joe requires david getting out. Well if she was telling us the truth for she knew and sam did tell us that she wasn't going to bring up any more information to the police or on the stand than what they told her. Joe had said and joe did not say this so if none of this was known to the police. She wasn't about to tell them. How confident are you. The joe had made mention his friend. David wanted his wife killed before it happened. Actually david had some party so they joe have been telling you for some time that david wanted him to do this. Okay and did you think that at any point in time he was actually considering doing it now. Okay or do you believe that. David masterminded it. No i do. That's my gut feeling He wanted it. And i think he would just find i. I would say as you would always looked up to date whenever day. Moving paul week. I remember driving over david's Time especially when david Divorced now started out there. Like it's interesting. Sam mentioned these details. Of course we know that. You von and david were not married and all kids were not david's but sam didn't sam didn't care one way or another. None of this meant anything to her and to us. This just shows how little sam was actually involved or has paid attention to the case. She even told she has other shake going on and doesn't read the news or watch. Tv so the fact that she remembers these details although not accurate does tell us. She's telling the truth about what she remembers. You know david. And he's just telling you buddy miles. And i look up to once killed his wife and let them assiduously would never do anything. He would never live but did he. We were baffled. Of course we considered the possibility. David was involved but we had never come across any evidence other than what was presented at trial until now and this was new something even the police did not know. So what was going on. We had one more person to talk to you before. We confronted joe a few years back. A woman reached out to sue on facebook. She wrote her a message saying that she had information about the night of the murder. That could help. She had seen something about david. And joe either on social media or tv and it sparked her memory so we tracked her down to hear from her ourselves. We're now but my boyfriend has time we saw in there that night. We know at night time. This is jill. I'll leave her last name. Out for privacy sake. Jill told sue the night of the murder. She was at the mall with her husband. And they bumped into joe. Outside of the comfort in jill new joe from school. They were actually good friends. We just saw him and he's like yeah. I'm saying at this hotel room the night you know and so you'll bumped into him at the mall. Okay staying the night. There and his friend was picking the morning. Does he say what he was doing their pay mark. Good though gel. That's it. that's it birthday. Party swing party or something. He asks one in command. There was pizza. I'm like no. We're good like he was like. Hey you know. My friends kid is having a power birthday party. Do you guys want to bring you know on the island because we had a baby nine. Yeah the right there as he was starting to was a party like no like no good so he said it was a friend of his kid. Okay i think it's interesting. We were looking for a high school. Kager party we never put it together that it could have been a friend's child or they party now one of joe's previous statements about what he was doing at the mall that night. He said he was actually attending a party. That was the purpose of him being there. And now we have jill telling us the same thing. In fact joe even tried to call jill from prison to get her to be an alibi for him. And i mean i never but give me thinking like you know maybe and tell somebody some at the mall but then it's like it's not really that big of a deal so i saw somebody mall one nightmare right so i'm sure it's just a coincidence and whatever but the so what is now we have corroboration that one of the stories joe told us about being the mall for party might be true and now we're more confused than ever. If joe was at the mall for a party. Was he going to leave. Poff a hit and come back. I would think not but then. How do you explain rose and chris who are backed up by sam. I don't know it was so confusing and so it was finally time to talk to joe wilkes. Y'all i am so excited to tell you once again that pretty litter is a sponsor of murder in alliance. And i'm excited about that because everything i do for. My cats is rooted in love. Like letting my cat sleep on my head every single night waking up choking and hairballs but that's love and that's why i use pretty litter pretty litter house hands down. Been my favorite cat litter. I have ever had in my life. I've tried every kind of litter expensive cheap bodega litter. This is the best one. It's lightweight dust free and it's ultra absorbing crystals trap odor instantly and up to a month. I have three cats. So when i say this.

"C. poop will join us exclusively. He says the assumptions made in bears. Op-ed are absurd. You've got both sides of the debate up. Plus you're watching a developing story point base. That stuck under pressure as the takes aim why regulators are calling for crackdown in his crypto lending business and later plot twists for amc chait and theater chain operator dropping big money and big star power on its first ever nationwide tv ad but will it pay off. We'll debate that we start off these creo of earnings alerts tonight lululemon rh and game. Stop all on the move after their latest results. We're digging into each one. We kick things off with lulu which is trading at all time highs after its report seem. He's got the details sima. Melissa that is right. Lululemon shares surging in after hours trade. To what would the all time high in regular session. So here's a story. The athletic apparel retailer topping analysts estimates on both the top and bottom line along with a better than expected outlook for the third quarter and for the year. The company getting a boost from shoppers continuing to spend on workout apparel chief financial officer. Megan franks said. Our performance in the second quarter was driven by a strong response to our product offering improving productivity in our stores and sustained strength in ecommerce lululemon sales in north america rising sixty three percent year over year international sales up forty nine percent and even going into this report wall street was very bullish on lulu channel checks from piper sandler showing strong sellouts for both women's and men's apparel along with a pickup in growth. In mirror the company they acquired and while the company did see continued supply. Chain headwinds piper sandler also noting. That lulu is more insulated from freight challenges given that the company historically airfreight product verses. Its peers the conference call is underway stock up nearly twelve percent here in extent trait. Melissa what i move sima. Thankyou seema mody with the details. On lou by the way nike as well as under armour both higher in the afternoon session on the back of this guy. Downey what do you make of this quarter. Ridiculous is in one word. I mean operating margins came in twenty point six percent. The street was looking. I think for fifteen point nine percent up from thirteen point six a year ago. You know tim we're here. We talk about kager but on a two year kager. The growth rate was just off the charts. There's their their inventories are in line which suggests to me. Given the sales growth they have marches will be even better next quarter the only knock on this company that people have been making now for years is valuation that that knock has been unwarranted and clearly given this quarter. It feels like it's off to the racist. I wanna give kudos to the four analysts. Yesterday i think cowan is high in the street cowan n. Km piper and chelsea all raise their price targets ahead of earnings today. You know. I think four seventy five is high in the street. Given this quarter. I think the stock trade in incase your past monday translators not working compound. Annual growth rate is kager karen intervene. What do you. What did you make that. Seema had mentioned that airfreight was an advantage given all the supply chain disruptions. Sure in the past that was sort of a knock on the company in terms of eating into margins more so than than a cheaper way of getting goods to its stores. But here we are. It worked out great yet worked out. Great i mean that d- guy really got to the heart of it. Which was the operating margin growth so it starts with great gross margin growth so they had very good pricing not promotional at all and that sort of generally how they run but it just shows the strength of the brand and then that operating margin so as revenues grew gigantically they're able to leverage their expenses. And that's how you get operating margin growth like that. The magnitude of that growth is really extraordinary. I just saw a couple of little bits from the conference call that they had some constraints so the quarter would have actually even been better. Have they been able to get all the product and that they're already hitting. They're expecting to hit their two thousand twenty three goals in the next year. So that's kind of amazing. I it set an all time high. It should be at an all time high. It should be expensive very sadly though. I no longer own it that was. That's that is a huge bummer. But the point kudos to them execution was outstanding supply constraints means sales deferred and not sales denied. And i asked. Maybe i'm asking you from first hand experience. You being a lululemon customer non. Stop what happens. Well if it's not in stock they're gonna ship it to you. They're going to take care of you. I mean you know. Here's the most amazing thing about the quarter for me. Though mel as we look at all these numbers men's is where they are growing and it's still in the infancy as many many times. They're still plenty of growth there. Sixty nine percent of sales continues to be women so as they grow on the men's side of things and i like the fact that seema did point out the mirror as well i thought acquisition for five hundred million. I think they stole it. I think that was a great opportunity. And they took advantage of at calvin mcdonald. The ceo has done an unbelievable job of navigating things but they also were in such a great position mel going into this whole thing going into the pandemic coming out now of the pandemic all of that. This is a company that not only thrive during as people got much more casual but they continue to thrive. And i think there are a lot of folks out there new people that are finding out more and more about lululemon and i'm talking about older like passage of thirty i think there are droves of people that are gonna find themselves in lulu clothing because a it's comfortable be it looks very very. It's getting much more of a corporate look yet stays very comfortable and you look at the margins. you knew. Look at everything that both karen and guy. We're talking about in terms of the numbers. The numbers are outstanding. The the dc numbers were great and the one knock on the stock for a long period of time has been well the p. e. is stretched. Challenge this to say. Why doesn't anybody ever say that about nike. Nike trades about forty times growth. Isn't anything close to this company and yet it doesn't really come up. When you talk about nike. I find that very interesting. I think lewis got a lot more room to the upside..

"What may have been preventable. Heat related deaths at work in texas. And we also want your gardening questions for meg tap from the garden club of houston but first covert. Vaccinations saw a significant boost. In harris county. Thanks in part to the incentive announced by county judge. Lena hidalgo last month that offers one hundred dollars to people who receive their first dose of a covert vaccine and they've extended this initiative till mid september to discuss the latest developments with vaccinations and other things. Covert nineteen in the region were joined by jennifer kager from harris county public health jennifer tiger. Good morning. good morning josh. How are you. i'm doing well. Thanks jennifer tiger after that initial boost. Vaccinations are we continuing to see encouraging numbers with the vaccination rate in the county. Yes we are. Since we initiated the incentive program we have had over forty two thousand people get their first dose a vaccine from the harris county public health and Our countywide initiative where. We're also asking people who get vaccinated from any provider within harris county They can go to already. Harris dot org webpage and put in their information on a form and get a vaccine gift card as well as also seen a lot of people interested there too. And i as i mentioned you've extended this initiative to think i believe september fourteenth is potentially possible that this could be extended further or. Is there a limit to win. This'll be effective. Well what we did last time. What we'll do again is really look at the trends and and look at the uptake vaccines and make that decision with our county judge whether or not it needs to be extended again. This gets discussed often. But it probably doesn't hurt to belabor the point are we continuing in general to see that vaccines are working as intended with in nineteen. Yes definitely We are still seeing that. Vaccines are are working. What we see in her hospitalizations is that the majority of those that are being hospitalized with cove in nineteen are unvaccinated in and so we speaking of hospitalizations. Through most of august we saw a lot of increasing trends with kevin nineteen including the hospitalization rate At this point as we're getting into early. September have we seen the those trends. Have we seen that rate of hospitalizations. Slow in any way so we we actually just had a conversation about hospitalizations with tmc partners and the region and what we're seeing with hospitalizations. Right now are that the hospitals are still full. they're still high number high Wait times and What we're seeing is that hospitalizations are not decreasing. Like we would hope and we really need to make sure to continue getting vaccinated. We can reduce that surge hospitals and currently we're operating at the highest threat level for covert in harris county and this has been the case since early august. What are the metrics that the county is continuing to watch. That would indicate that we need to potentially lower the threat level. If you know reach a certain Bench bench point or something. Sure yes we still are in red eye level one threat level and what we're looking at specifically hospital population trends and hospital usage like i said both of them are still high And we also look at the new cases trends and we're getting A lot of new cases a day because of the fact that we are In this current wave of way for and until those cases decrease in the number of hospitalizations decrease we won't be able to move out of this current indicator this current threat level. Sure we've just come back from a three day weekend for many people after labor day. Are there any concerns about a possible. Spike in covert cases from people. You know being out and about maybe unvaccinated or unmasked individuals potentially spreading the virus by spending time with people in crowded spaces. Yes usually after holiday. Weekends and after a lot of people are gathering together We do see an increase in number of cases and then it leads to increases in the number of hospitalization so we are looking to see Looking at the impact of this current this past holiday weekend of labor day We expect to see an. Hopefully we hope to see no impact but if we do have an impact it will be about five to seven days from now. And we'll continue to look at that in and put that on our hub online and throughout the past year. The topic of unproven untested cova treatments. Seems to come up every now and then you know. Last year we had hydroxy chloroquine. And currently we're we're seeing a fair amount of attention paid to the anti-parasite medicine ivermectin In recent weeks which is mostly intended for as a horse de wermer And reportedly some people have been using this to treat cove in nineteen infections. Is this an area of concern for public health officials here. It is An area of concern for us We are not Currently you know talking about using those treatments because it has not been approved by cdc in our local health authorities are not approving either We really think that the only way to really get out of this is to have more people get vaccinated and make sure they get their second dose along with their first dose. So that we can we can get out of this does the delta variant continued to be the variant of concern with covered nineteen. And are there any other variants of interest that public health officials are are watching. You know we always are looking at all the variants across the world right now but delta variant is is believed to be about ninety nine percent of the cases that we're seeing in harris county so that's the one that we're really focusing on at this moment. Are there any expectations or concerns for the coming fall months heading into winter yes Into winter one of the things we're looking at is. The third dose that has been discussed is currently being discussed with fda and cdc and we're preparing for administering that third dose once. It is approved around september twentieth We're also looking at other Diseases in In including flu with the schools back in session. I'm really making sure that people are continuing their normal Immunization practices and And making sure that they are still continuing the non-pharmaceutical intervention such as washing their hands social distancing etc jennifer tiger is the director of the cove nineteen division for harris county public health jennifer tiger. "Just grab a random kager and nova top guys. Go and you're the ten gotta grab and he grabbed jake elliott. I think that's fine. But you know he's not going to be one of my top kicking options for the eagles defense. I think a lot of people are like this. I'm a huge proponent of drafter defense late you when your last two picks and just kinda stream defenses all year which streaming means on fantasy football terms a different from streaming on netflix or hulu. Is that each week. You're changing your defense based on owners while the jets defense might not be any good. Maybe because of this specific coenen they're playing this week playing a really weak offense in. They're at home. You drop to one defense. Explain the cheese and picking up. Jets offense that jets defended playing a poor off and stuff like that. So you're not really going about. 'cause if fluctuates so much defensively year to year in terms of what defense excel and fantasy and it's so dependent on the week to week opponents. They don't necessarily want to be locked into the same defense all season and looking at the eagles early schedule eagles on team that i would try to draft this year. Because i don't wanna play them probably for the first six or so weeks of the season does they have a startup. The have atlanta. We don't how good they're going to be. But they have been talented in the past offensively stanford francisco going kyle. Shanahan dallas was he all decked prostitutes hanging up a lot of injury issues. Doubt should be concerned Week four we have the chiefs. Obviously kansas city. Probably the best offense in the nfl. You have a nice one in week. Five against carolina doing streaming. It might be nice to stream eagles out week in week. Five down in carolina and then week six. They come back home. I believe and play the tampa bay buccaneers or knocking wanna clan. The eagles defense against tom brady. But it's a situation where maybe later in the season or pigging equals out. They go on that run against some and fewer competition against some of their fellow. Nfc east teams and to november and december. I think this team could be in the top two or three and sacks fairly dot so guided their team that in the last few years since the super bowl season having caused or have forced a lot of turnover. So i'm not going to be team. That i don't see darius light hauling him four or five interceptions or anything like that right thing. This team can get to the quarterback and that there's obviously value in there in terms of fantasy defenses so not a team that draft probably in your actual address and not a team string earned. This season probably starts dreaming them in week five than depend on natural the rest of the season. I'm excited for fantasy. I'm excited for bgn radio. When a ton of great stuffy come the season we're gonna have great instant reaction show we just a ton sanders denounce. You'll be open this year. I'm going to be guest at times for a lot of fun. Doing that. And i also have another show cooking. Can't talk about it just yet. But i'm very very excited for all the content..

"The marlins tweeted treats night. That was you know beyond that price. So i decided to reward them for the generosity to me in my daughter. I'm legit worried if you made your mortgage payment. That is an expensive jersey. Yeah again added this count. Who was it. Did you get the discount. Because jesus i what is even at two hundred bucks. I'd be like shh. I'm used to authentic jerseys customized being at that reigns in two hundred dollars. It was a. I was thinking back at the original price. But think of this pet is jarring. Well i'm glad you got the the marlins were kind enough to give you an employee discount. I guess i have to make their numbers because not many people are walking into that sore getting an authentic personalized jersey but holy cows. You have to wait on line at the at the letter. Making machine No those one person in front of me. And i had the chiefs clear around so once i got jersey in is pretty quick. I mean you're a man of a very specific taste when you get a jersey. It has to be personalized. It has to be bellamy eleven. I i hope it was worth it heavily. So kelly was worth it and They should have been all right. All right i went as part of the road trip i did. I went back to marlins park. And i took some photos and there's gates around the now so i couldn't access it because my idea doesn't work anymore so i went to the team store. I walked in the team store. And i was dressed down and i was not recognized by the guy who was working there and i asked for any old school marlin stuff and he brought me to one corner of the team store which had the f. till logo. I said no no. I'm talking about the rainbow m logo. She said no. We're not allowed to have that here. Oh wow i. My lower back is covered in sweat right now. Just knowing what. Roy paid for this jersey and even muster words roof. That's staying ahead added boost to that because the tax refund finally showed up about a couple of days early unseal. That's your income tax refund. No there's a the biden child benefit thing to that came in. I enjoyed that. At what point of the movie does john. Data washington tap out hori prasada for the third and final laid. Who's gonna play. You haven't played josh beckett. Don't tell john david washington. He can't do something based off the color of the skin. Oh time just saying that. Beckett has nothing to do with trash bags where he plays the title character. It's beckett all right. So i'm gonna save you an hour and a half of your life and tell you that beckett is a movie that is not worth watching. Dan's elvis and get to. John david his son and say make better choices. He could have the shortest career of son of an oscar winner. Of all time you know for two years after beckett may that their final out in new york city while the bronx i had that chin thing every if you look at photos from two thousand three to two thousand and five if you were at a kager chances are everybody there. At a polo and cargo shorts was rocking the josh beckett. Ching thang david. Awesome hosts.

"It's been a great battle ever. it's. I've never pay johnston honest to the placekicker battles a camp or the punter rattles You have so glad we got boswell and rebounded from that one terrible season and he's such a reliable kager but you know berry he's got a nascent laid he kills it in. Preseason he kills it into regular season he does great till you really really need him He does great till the weather gets called His is always cold in the late. And that's when he shanks and you're right now he's looked great You know even harvard's had a great camp. He's hanging right with you know. It's that close but Advocate team you know would probably be willing. They did for brad wing like you said. I think they'd be willing to give a seventh around guy. Pick for a berry and if not you know say you can protect. I think it's four guys on the practice squad and you know i don't know if you wanna protect him each week You know you do it so many times. But but you don't know what's going to happen as far as injuries or Or hunters they get shades in the preseason to its obtains might not be happy with their putter and might be willing to give us a seventh round for bury your we dream even a six so you know if i get a call like that you know they got it yeah. There's two other guys that i want to talk about is potential trades. But i need some help out there i lost. We had a super chat. And i think it was shaun who put it in there but i cannot find the super chat now because i was completely talking. What with i. I found it yet. Sean manahan five dollars which is more likely based on our current roster we score thirty points per game or only give up fifteen points per game that is. Let's a great question there as well. So i tell you what i'm going to. I'm going to hold onto that one. And i will get to that. I will get to that soon. I just wanted to make sure that. I did not lose that one. So let's go ahead. Rapid fire on these next two. Is there any trade value. And i'm going to start with shannon on this with ray ray macleod or better still junior shannon radius. Because he you. He looks like he's gonna make the kleiber is still has a good shot. I don't think snail there is because he's miss time and You know if you could get a light round pick for him you know you would take it. Because i don't think he's gonna make the club. So yes i think has value. I mean roy has value snail. I don't think has much 'cause you pick him up once we could county Railway ray ask. I think he can be an elite returner possibly any snow. No because you could pick up guys like that off the scrap heap at any time. All right very good now. Is there anybody that i'm missing. That could be a possible trade candidate for the steelers to descend out because of the depth on the roster. Maybe some like like a worm. Lear somebody like that. Because they're they're they're defensive. Line is so good. And maybe if you'd like a louder if you really believe in him then maybe a similar warmly. Who's been around. The league could be of some value. Wow i like that. He's he's a valuable player shannon o. Warmly was a great answer. I i agree. Totally with that Hours thank and more marcus allen at just because some teams in the preseason You know they're special teams of look pretty suspect. And he's an excellent specialties. Guy Tyler dirty tyler. Cave each You know he's still with the buffalo bills and he's basically a special teams you know damon And so i think. Marcus allen Killebrew is going to be the the backup strong safety and make it also play something. He's linebacker so he could make marcus allen expandable and they might be willing to trade him to get up mattie miscarriages cutting very good so that is a that's great. Let's wrap that up with a. I've kevin colbert's not done. I think you guys would both agree with that. And it's it's gonna continue to get interesting man. It has been an amazing summer. One crazy summer. That was a movie from nineteen eighty six with john. Cusak i believe in bob goldthwait. One of tony's all time favorites was in them as well comic genius to tony. Loves some bob gatt but So it is going to continue to be nuts here. Nothing surprises me in two thousand twenty one with the pittsburgh steelers so this has been fun. And it's been great being the podcast producer. We're getting a man. We're getting stuff to talk about I want to bring up. Felicia before i get to the super chat. Okay i'm back so with the steelers not practicing today. Does that mean that this evening five players get the call that they didn't want to get apparently in by the way. Felicias the queen of emojis. She's no one does apologies better and so speaking of emojis somebody put emojis out a player with the thankful hands and it was isaiah bugs so apparently isaiah bugs. If if we're i believe those calls went out today. We're not gonna know they don't have to do it until four o'clock pm tomorrow for the five cuts but if we're reading into it and trying to figure out why isaiah bugs why big pooh is thankful that could be why so Emojis abound. There's going to be more emojis. i guess so. Yeah i would think that the players got some news today and they got that call and i as a big major league fan and i. I know tony is attorneys big major league fan and shannon weights of baseball guy. So i saw that movie theater. I remember it came out of the theater and they that was..

Colour they just kinda offered fairly recently and Been recruiting for a while Interesting player he's going to take some other visits to so On his agenda so he's he's got a couple of spots he's gonna hit oklahoma Brass kaz while so he's got a he's got some trips coming up to to make but i would seems to be in fairly good position. He really is anchored with the loop garza so It's going to be interesting to see if they can real him in. I kinda discounted the idea that they would sign a big man in this class because they seem as wants Rebecca said he was gonna play two years in iowa of not well. They've got enough about big bodies with mulling coming in early and the a gun delay already on campus to consume like overload. But maybe they're gonna take to pass up. I also tyler nickel Been hearing some things that i'm will might be fairly decent shape. The four star forward who is ranked pulled up ninety sixth nationally North carolina might be the biggest threat. But we're not sure how involved they're going to be And if they're gonna push with him so might be like virginia tech and ia probably next on his list. So he's a six seven forward from virginia so he's convening to watch I think he's kind of a waste..

"Day and star. Trek has all sorts of plans and watch alongs and are promoting all sorts of news announcements to come out of first contact day so on ika. You're a star trek fan as well. What are you looking forward to to seeing. Come out first. Contact day tomorrow. So i think i'm trying to temper my expectations. Because it's a it's a strange. You know it's an event that they announced you know just a few days ago. It's not like a big thing that they've been promoting forever and it's not a giant convention where they're gonna make you don't expect big announcements or a trailer or something as if you were going to an nyc or something like that but that said they are promoting it and there are a you know a nice selection panels that. I'm certainly looking forward to. I know that kager is doing something. And i'm expecting that. That's going to be related to prodigy. So i expect to get more information about prodigy potentially trailer But like you know. We've we've got another that entire series. Is jane ways in. It and here are some random aliens. they're also there. We don't know their names. You don't know how old they are. We don't know what where they came from. We don't know anything about the shift so it's sort of like more information. That would be great. I don't even know when it's premiering. So and then similarly we got cast announcements strange new worlds but again no names of the characters no descriptions no explanation of how they relate to the ship for what they're doing or anything that hasn't started filming yet so i wouldn't expect any kind of footage but potentially cast portrait's a cast list could be something so i am. You know that's possible. The one that is the has been feeling discoveries. Been filming for a while now. And i know that they intense released the fourth season this year. So a teaser..

"The story of raising money is dependent on what's working at during that time and interestingly enough with amazon he knew what to tell the story to tell at the time but in reality. If you were to tell them that they wouldn't make money for the next seventeen years they would never return capital to investors outside of reinvesting side of the business or buying back stock. Which they don't do. There's no way he would raise that they wouldn't have been okay with it. So you hit the lie to investors in order to do what he felt was necessary. And that's kinda changed. Quite honestly amazon changed the way we think about business and scale people will be studying the amazon story for a century. It's really neat. And i think this is where the separation between i mean. Basil's is a boomer but people boomers do not look at businesses in the same way that he built his business. And that's where i think millennials are built off of right like we. We are of the belief that you don't take capital business. I mean you look at some of the startups that we're looking at and we're talking about people that are taking discounts for they're coming from law firms making two hundred k to come and work for startup make forty six thousand and every incremental dollar that goes to that the comes in the form of revenue just gets pumped back in in order to grow when you scale and you scale and scale and then you turn off that reinvestment tap and maybe you buy back stock whatever you get acquired whatever it might be but the old story of dividends died with amazon and obviously their space for it makes a lotta sense to return money back to investors but if your business is growing it at thirty percent clip and your total addressable market. You're only one percent of your tam. You pump that money right back in. Because it's not better in the hands of the investors better in the hands of the ceo in the capital allocation that has an opportunity to invest a thirty percent. forty percent kager. And i think that bill girlies ability to kind of shape that.

"Our daughter. She's twenty six. I believe c doesn't really drink very much at all you know and and i started thinking fuck. What kind of twisted world did i live in where you know if you're if you're a teen or in your twenties you have to drink this. This does the common law you know yet. What do you mean you don't drink. What do you mean your own party. Look at look at sixty candles. Look at six candles. Weird science like those movies. They were high school. Kids are getting drunk. Kager takes we were influenced. I mean the thing that i mean. That's why we thought it was normal part of that but it was what we were there but not anymore because my parents if we were not yet. It's not normal for me sober for us. But then you know. I come to realize that you know that was my experience. But it wasn't a universal experience but i thought it was because that was my experience to see you know younger folks you know and it's not just you know you know my my immediate family but also like you know a co workers and everything you know and or you know Folks that i work with that are in the early twenties. And you know they don't drink they don't smoke. You know they do other things other things that you know. They're vice vices. They have other things that they do. That doesn't require. That know. And and i started thinking fuck man like i said you know kinda twisted life to live where. I felt that this was the norm that i needed this. And you know part of it is also may not know. It's just a different generation. I was gonna say part of is maybe because they they live in. Mice are nicer neighborhoods. They live in. They had their middle class upper middle class. But they do. The same ship mandate is. Data's do it nice houses. They don't have to party in the streets lead his party in their in their houses. You know so. It's not that but you know there's people have different lives and this is the trip. Know.

Heavenly Sources Confirm Jesus Christ Will Transfer To Iowa State University After Getting Grades Up

"Journalistic enterprises like the ones. You just heard after this message from our sponsors who may or may not actually have something useful to settle you. There's only one way to find out our top story. Today comes from the heavens as a lesion authorities are reporting that Jesus Christ will be transferring to Iowa State University in the fall after getting his grades up. The once academically troubled son of God seems to have finally been able to rehabilitate his image and get his schoolwork up to snuff over the last year at Western Iowa Tech Community College. And he's now ready to move onto the next chapter of his education. We're joined by. Opr's afterlife correspondent thaddeus Lawson to unpack the big news. Hi Leslie good to be here that is. This has been a long journey full of ups and downs for the son of God trying to make the grades and to be Frank. Fixing some behavioral problems. So he could get into a state or private school right after graduating. Saint Peter's high school with a dismal one point three grade point average. A lackluster five eighty. Sat score and a disorderly conduct arrest drunkenly urinating on the streets of gold by his house. He couldn't get accepted into any of his preferred universities. That's what his father started. Pressuring him to enroll in community college to get back on track. That wasn't a quick fix. His father was hoping for either correct. I mean he failed the winter semester at tech last year because he blew off his business administration final to play call of duty right and then he started this spring semester. This year getting kicked out of his welding class when he welded several pipes into a satanic pentagram not to mention his outright refusal to stand his dyslexia medication. So most didn't think you'd get to this point so that was the catalyst well my sources. Tell me that the son of God did a lot of small things like making sure to always sit in the front row and show up to class with a pencil but the real wakeup call for him came in February when his best. Buddy nate overdosed on method an epic. Kager our Lord and Savior through. Yeah after he found nate lifeless in a ditch by the house Christ shared with six other roommates. He told those closest to him that he needed to sober up and stop wasting away life. The Lord finally sobering up is definitely a step in the right direction. A what was his final. Gpa and greats like for this semester although we got to ds and biology and computer science he did manage to get an a minus a nutrition and B. Minus in the history of rock and roll which pulled his GPA up to a two point eight. That's plenty good for Iowa state and what's The reaction from the Heavens God Almighty and all his heavenly hosts are simply ecstatic. They're all just happy. That Jesus Christ and his father are taking an early to Iowa state to purchase some. Isu Swag the bookstore. Instead of burying the son of God with a needle coming out of his arm I can't help but ask and no offense to Iowa state but why them and not more storied private school. I mean this is the son of God. We're talking about wouldn't have brown taken him as a legacy student now. It's my understanding that Jesus wanted to create his own path and had zero interest in following his father's footsteps by going to Brown plus he liked the reasonable out of state tuition Iowa state and their study abroad option in Australia and as an aspiring radio. Dj He was impressed with Iowa State's communications program and ability to get involved early in the department student. Run radio station. Well of Christ is out there. Listening

In Measure Overhauling Energy Policy, Ohio Pivots Away From Green Energy

"This message comes from NPR sponsor. Comcast Business Gig fueled network solutions that help businesses go beyond the expected to do the extraordinary. Mary comcast business beyond fast. LEARN MORE AT COMCAST BUSINESS DOT COM working to support wind and solar has become almost standard in states nationwide. Some are even phasing out coal but not Ohio. It recently passed a law doubling down subsidies for power plants. Ohio public radio's Andy Challe reports the new law adds hundreds of millions of dollars in subsidies for coal and while it does add twenty million dollars for existing solar farms it rolls rolls back renewable energy requirements and even scraps the energy efficiency program it also does out one hundred fifty million dollars in subsidies to keep open open to nuclear plants that had been scheduled to close opposition to the legislation formed some strange partnerships natural gas companies. The environmental advocates and conservative activists all fought on the same side against what they saw as unnecessary bail out for power plants. It's like this one. The kayaker creek coal plant which sits along the Ohio River workers were eager to talk about the critical cool role. It plays in the region. Chad Burton says for his family. It means everything. My grandfather actually worked here for thirty six years. You know it's put food on my table. Since nineteen fifties the new measure ensures that Kager creek stays open for at least the next six years but if you drive just thirty miles north to Athens workers at another company have their own stories to tell so when we get new contracts contracts. Are we WANNA make celebration here in the office. We will come up and we'll ring style. Roberto Washburn runs third son solar and says her company is proof. The APPALACHIA can be more than just coal. She's discouraged by Ohio's pivot away from Green Energy. Other states are positioning themselves for future while high of seems seems to be holding onto a dime part of the past. We need to create an environment for future generations and by using renewable energy. I really think it puts Ohio in exactly exactly the wrong direction. That's Democratic State Representative Casey Weinstein who argues that this drastic shift hurts both Ohio's fight against climate change inch and its future job creation hopes the new law sends a signal to businesses that we don't want wants you here. That's the impression that we are giving them but for Republican State Representative Bill Sites. The cost of continuing the green energy requirements especially the efficiency officiency mandates were too high sites argues that mandates like those are less effective than the subsidies he voted for. We have mandated in the past. The utilities must make their electricity with this particular kind of fuel. I think that's stupid. Sites Defense Coal as a measure to support grid diversity and reliability other supporters say saving nuclear would mean saving Ohio's largest source of non-carbon-emitting energy and some environmental advocates agree ratepayers will see reduce charges because of road back investments in renewable energy and energy efficiency but they'll see increase fees to support court those nuclear and coal subsidies the average monthly bill will end up dropping by about two dollars a month supporters of green energy policies call that shortsighted headed and a bad investment other states are deciding to put more money toward green energy and innovation but the debate in Ohio is not over yet. A citizen's group is trying to take their law directly to voters and put a referendum on next year's ballot. Their message is clear no bailouts for power plants for N._P._R.
