"Yeah. There's a will Larry was just informing of I mean kind of. Rules are rules. But you go mine gun what? A championship trophy cannot be rewarded to let's say the Rams win. It has to be somebody who has won a Super Bowl to give the award where they have Jack Youngblood was lined up to do it. So yes. So the Rams wanted Jack young bread if they win the Super Bowl Super Bowl fifty three. They wanted Youngblood two percent the Super Bowl trophy to STAN Kroenke. But the NFL says, no, no, no, it has to be somebody who has a ring. So now if the Rams win the Super Bowl they're going to have Bruce presenting presenting the the the Lombardi trophy to STAN Kroenke, but I just Saint Louis Rams Jack Youngblood was the Los Angeles rings. Not only that I mean Super Bowl fourteen was the Steelers knocking off the Rams, I believe in Pasadena, maybe the Rosebowl I think it was in Pasadena and Jackie unbe play that game with a broken leg. A broken leg. Right. And this is just so the NFL and twenty nineteen. It's like they've got a million rules a million different things that they want to get their fingers on. And it's just a remember who did it for the one of the greatest ram LA Rams in history. Who gave who gave for an honest. Remember what what? No, no this. This is a relatively new thing. I mean, it's not a rule. It's that they you know, they've been having Goodell do it, and I'm sure Goodell's been booed loudly. And so they don't want. They're trying to move Cadel off of it and have some ex- great player of the patriots are Rams present the Mbarga trophy. So it's a relatively new thing. But the Rams right? Hey, we want Jack young. But no, no, no. He can't do it. Why? Well, because he was in the Super Bowl, but the Steelers beat them. So he has no he doesn't actually have a Super Bowl ring. So he can't he can't present that I mean, that's just talking about your arbitrary nothing. No. Meaning behind your rules. That's one of them right there. All right. I gotta admit I'm coming because of that I've told you about my son's game over the weekend. And then my daughter was hitting some tennis balls. I was screwed out of watching the senior bowl. So. Well, yeah. There was five guys who really stood out. Janney one right? Shani beat Gruden. I don't I don't care. I don't even know who won the. I mean, I watched I didn't think that Bryan didn't the Shanahan's team beat Gruden the south beat the Nora. I dunno. We'll look. Yeah. Fifty one gruden's team Wayne, I was gonna say Gruden Steve Shanahan can't close. It can't close. All right. Shannon beat the raiders and the regular season. Gruden got payback in the senior bowl Gruden was doing by the way when there was a good play made. He would take out a raiders sticker and just slash. Yeah. That's pretty cool. After after they what were you doing? There you go just trying to let everybody know it's important, the raiders, you know, still stand for something this and that and by I guess that's just a promotional, right? There's no question him in may opne defensive ends bad. They had thirteen sacks this year, which is just to put it in perspective. The second lowest sack total in the NFL. This year was thirty and the raiders were the lowest with thirteen will there ever be a time that is bad? You get rid of Khalil Mack. And you wonder what thirteen sacks for the team on the year? I mean, that's just that is beyond awful. So I gotta think the raiders will go defensive end were there come a time this year where we say may I decided to no no never once. It'll be won't be once. No. But here are the five guys stood out five guests. Here we go Keelan dos. The UC Davis wide receiver look terrific. Four catches fifty five yards. He's legit. He's probably not a day one or day two guy early day three. I mean Keelan dos. Fourth round he's going to be a nice player for somebody. The guy who skipped the birth of his daughter to go through the senior bowl because him and his wife decided that was the best move for them. Kaelin saunders. Big defensive tackle, western Illinois dominated he looked awesome. Mysteriously this guy knife into the backfield sack the quarterback. He was awesome in the game. Do you know exactly when the child was born, I don't, but I know it was a baby girl. Okay. Had a baby girl. I just I want to see if maybe he was able to get there. You could have done both. I'm just saying we had a good discussion on that. But I I'm I'm glad he played. Well, I know what to do what makes you happy. If you're whatever you and your wife decide who are we to judge? I'm saying do both. No or bring your down there put you can't go as a talk show host. You can't go with who. Are we to judge too many times? Otherwise, you know, if you went through that every time Niners loss, but who are we to judge? Hey, you're gonna laugh all you want. Bring the doctor bring bring him down to the game right now on the sidelines. So out of the sideline, but you you you put together a little nice little spot. Now. Think of as genius a nice little spot to give birth in the locker room somewhere walled off. And all that. When the baby is ready to come out. He leaves goes in tells his wife push. I love you comes back in place. You know, I'm right? And then you don't just sounds like a after ABC afternoon special. You know? Birth of the blues. Lifetime channel do you? Have what time we gotta find out if he you know that could have been done so dos. Kaelin saunders. Ryan Finley the quarterback from NC state. I thought played terrific the two guys if you're a forty Niner fan you want these guys on your team Andy Isabella the tiny wide receiver from UMass who runs four to five. He was terrific and the game. I mean, this guy is really a nice little player. He's little but he's a burner and then my favorite player in the senior bowl this year. Charles many Hugh, the defensive end from Texas because about two seventy freakish athletically killer motor had a sack fumble. He looked great. You look great in the bowl game. He will create in this game. So Charles many who Andy Isabel, dos Kalem Saunders and Ryan Finley fritter Cal Bobbio was there. But I didn't see him do too much the MVP of the game went to the do quarterback Daniel Jones, but overall I would say. Big winner in the in the senior bowl was that the Missouri quarterback drew lock it looks like, you know, Peter King says that trulock basically helped himself more than any other quarterback at the senior bowl. And he is he's got the best arm strength. Among the top quarterback candidates. And he's expected to be maybe the first quarterback off the board said to the kid maybe in front of the other Murray. Maybe no drew lock a quarterback from Missouri may jump Haskins and in Murray in the travel who was on. It was a great Cosell or not allowed to comment on that. But somebody said the Duke quarterback. Yeah. Who do we have on the lookout for the Duke quarterback? Everybody knows about the Ohio State guy and Cuyler Murray. I don't know. That there was a guy on there. I just remember when we asked him about a full, savage savage. Thank you good now. And there's no question Jones six five big kid, David cut cliff. Great coach at Duke brought him along. He looked good in this game Brian to participate. What do you have? It was January twenty second last Tuesday that the baby was delivered. Wait a minute last Tuesday. Yeah. It was during his wife wanted him to go to practice. It wasn't that. He was going to the game. They they didn't. He didn't want him to miss the practices because the Kerry everybody knows the senior bowl the game itself. It's an afterthought. It's the practices that you have the sidelines are are littered with NFL coaches, coordinator's personnel. People GM's, that's where you make in your money. Baby. Where's the birth of the baby? Where was the birth? Yeah. No. I mean, they were training question. This man him and his wife decided to do this together. I. I do both. No it was last Tuesday. I thought we were waiting for birth. Oh that was last Tuesday during practice. Larry Larry, Tuesday Pratt. You missed one day a practice that you come back here with you mentioned four thirty four. We're going to play the tape horrible. We'll do it. Next segment. We'll take a break. We'll come back. Next segment. We'll hear from Tom Brady his mic drop moment. We got some good sound from the weekend is this from when the going away parade thirty thousand showed up in Foxborough to see to say goodbye to the patriots to wave them in goo to wish them. Good luck..

"You know, he's back at Santa Clara at our facility and just really vigorously attacking has rehab. There's nothing nice about an ACL rehab. One thing though, putting a positive spin on it. And this is not positive for us. But jerick McKinnon did it six weeks before him. And so are starting running back in our starting quarterback. The good thing is they have a buddy to kind of go through this rehab together and Jimmy has vigorously trying to catch jet who's trying to separate from Jimmy. So there's competition going on as well. And I think the those guys. Will tell you. That's really helped them somebody to go through it with its fine. Now, we're starting to see him taking the next stages of of the rehab. He's doing really well. And we're looking forward to having him this off season and back and healthy on our team. All right. John Lynch talking from mobile Alabama the side of the senior bowl, which is coming senior bowl on tomorrow. No. Got a trick. Larry Larry's going to watch it. Either your VCR right DVR DVR. Let's see. College football on Saturday. If you don't know what time it's on to the senior because I'm not planning my day around eleven thirty in the morning Pacific time watching Brian you. Yeah. Gary you got nothing else. Going into this part of your life right now. My life has resorted to senior bowl highlights. Let me tell you the forty Niners, of course, down there. Coaching one of the teams raiders coaching one of the teams the Niners have severe needs pass rusher wide receiver corner. Let me give you a couple of names to look for this weekend gear. We get to our guy that we're gonna talk about here on the south side, which is the Niners side. The seen the Niners are coaching deebo Samuel wide receiver from South Carolina has lifted up this week a lot of people love deebo same Samuel comparing him to like an an Kwan Bolden this, right? All these guys. You would use the second pick on not the second pick in the draft of the second round pick for. Samuel Montas sweat. I would trade back from Montana sweat. He's maybe one of the best pass rushers. I've seen in the country this year six six to forty five. Con dorms got long arms and incredible athleticism needs some weight, but Montas sweat got to watch him. This weekend is AM Johnson is a monster corner from Houston. He's a six four corner. And he's a terrific athlete. He to me. He's one of the best corners in mobile, and then Jalen Ferguson, the defense van from tech really really long six five to sixty five really looks the part pass rusher. So that's what the matters are looking for. If you're one is watching the senior bowl for the local guys. There's three local guys in the game. Bobbio Ohka reiki from Stanford linebacker can run like the wind. Josh Oliver, a tight end from San Jose State is really underrated six five to fifty and then Keelan dos. The wide receiver from UC Davis is legit. They're saying I I'm eager to see him Saturday against this. Competition. He's six three about two. Oh, five and runs. Really? Well, and then on the north side, which is the raiders side. The guys you gotta look for this. A lot of good quarterbacks on the north. They get drew lock probably is the best arm of any of the quarterbacks Missouri kid, and they also have Ryan Finley from NC state and Daniel Jones the quarterback from Duke. But the guys you got to watch and that north side they got a tiny little wide receiver name Andy Isabella from UMass who's a five ten kid who's unbelievably fast like at four three three. And then we'll find out when he runs an indie, but he's really fast, and then there's a huge super fast wide receiver named penny. Heart little slot receiver at Georgia state who nobody could cover this week in mobile and then to and then one D line mental keep your eye out on north Charles a medic you who's great this year for the longhorns. Six six to seventy five long arms. Russia's the passer. So those are the guys to look for. But the guy wanna talk about Gary's Kaelin Saunders who a defensive tackle from western Illinois. This kid is incredible story. I. Doing so athletic at six to three ten he's doing backflips and somersaults. I mean seriously does he do that? I mean to catch CIO these scouts be. Yeah. Now. Where would you? I mean, just just on the sidelines with his pads on he he's sitting there and the guys are watching him in here. He's doing a handstand turning it into a backflip and he's six two and he's three ten. I am good. But he is going to I think he already has actually him and his wife have made the decision that he's skipping the birth of their child to play in this game. And to go to these practices. He's doing it with his with his wife's full endorsement, she's saying, hey, you know, what this is a job interview. It's an important. I mean, I don't know she's not quoted here. But she basically his his wife, though, he's married to this woman. I believe so it could be his girlfriend, okay? Guard. But there it is their child, and I believe it's their first child, and they, you know, his his wife or girlfriend. I believe his wife is telling him don't don't come to the hospital. Don't be there in the in the delivery room when I'm delivering our child you stay in mobile at the senior bowl, practices and focus on on what you're doing. And I'll let me focus on what I'm doing. And you know, who are we to judge right now? Of course, everybody makes this decision themselves for years didn't guys used to sit in a waiting room smoking cigars and cigarettes. Would you in there for all your kids? Right. I was. Yeah. Yeah. But, but it's a compliment isn't what it was like, I, you know, the doctors the most important person outside of your wife and the baby right? So I mean, you really there for a motion support more than anything some some some dads play a role in the in the delivery, I would imagine. But I don't know. I mean, eight away Kim VR. What would you skip the birth of your child for I guess what? The senior bowl is to Saunders and his wife is just like the greatest job interview you could ever have. And they're choosing the to attend that greatest job interview giving birth. What city I think she's there in Alabama. I believe wow. Why she's close about this? Now. Again, you understand the. Okay. If she's within a five hundred miles. He basically said, you know, what? Honey, don't don't be in here with me you focus on getting your career going? She understands the importance of this week for his career. And has said, you know, what let's prioritize you're trying to get you advanced in your career. And I'll I'll do I'll take one for the team and do this solo and do it without drug for her. But I'm telling you that's something that sticks with your entire life. And maybe again, every every couple's entitled to handle it the way they want, obviously. But if I'm an NFL guy, if I'm an NFL person, I somebody goes to them and says, hey, attend all these meetings. But when you think she's about ready to give birth go. You know what I mean? I I don't know if I see that wouldn't impress me. And that's why I never be a general manager or coach. But that wouldn't impress me that a guy said I'm going to miss the birth of my child. So I would not impress you that the guy was committed to football. No, no, no, no, Larry. I'm not saying miss a whole week just to sit there. And wait me. That's I mean as long as as long as he showed that same commitment at western Illinois. So if I if I called western Illinois, and I talked to their coaches, and I talked to their film guys. And they say you kidding me. This guy's committed as hell this guy. Will you know? And here's an example of it here here here, this is what the guy done. And then you hear this story is he gonna see this guy's committed by Valeri. I want a guy on my you're saying he's too singularly focused. Well, I mean, not well rounded, but think about this think about this perspective. Tell anybody has live. I'm just saying think about what general manager are what guy would say miss Berthier child. So I can ask you some questions, and you can do a backflip form. If you're really good. But it's it's an important job. How high pick is this guy going to be I would say probably anywhere between the second and fourth round. I have to look it up. But I can see that where maybe your third or fourth round pick. Is you know, you had the job interview of job interviews where you it's your dream job. And now if you do you aced this interview, you get your dream job. Would you not be there for the birth of your child? I think it's. Yeah. I think it's a fair powerhouse guy. You're like you're going to be a sure first round pick. It's easier to say, no, I'm going to the birth of my child and nobody's going to question it. I just tell you the rest of your life, though, you meet your wife has to be with you. She has to be. She can't like, you know, six months from now going you weren't there. Yeah. No. I agree. It has to be a decision that you make together for sure they will start to the audience. They don't we can't be all right. Interview, which which would you prefer eight away care. We'll take a timeout greatest job interview of your life or the birth of your child. How about this? What are you going to be? There will never live this down yet. You skip the birth of your child you end up getting cut anyway. No. Is this always this optimistic? I'm just saying you can't if you if you really have the goods, and I'm a general manager. And I would think oh my God. Hey, this guy missed the birth of a child. All right, good. Now. I think. We'll read some of the rain. Live for death. Judge. You believe me? We're not going to judge you either way. Well, we're not gonna. Judge if we need to laugh, otherwise.

"For the forty Niners to get an up close and personal look at some of the prospects for the upcoming draft, which as we know is going to be critical for this forty Niners raging. Joining us now on the guests line as he does well, usually on Fridays, but this week we're having him on Thursday. It is our good friend Brian peacock locked on forty Niners podcast. Yeah. Over a million downloads. No big deal. All right. So we heard the sound there. Kyle Shanahan breaking down the south team in their their final huddle before their last little little get together before the senior bowl on Sunday. I'm sure you saw the story about western Illinois, D tackle Kaelin Saunders saying I don't need to be there for the birth of my kid. I got a senior bowl to go play at. I'm trying to earn my stripes in get drafted in the NFL, but it all series. How much of an advantage? You think this is for shanty and his coaching staff to get an up close and personal look at these guys. I think it's really important for those players that are there, and they get to know him. And and you see how a player practices. See how it works. He what kind of a person you're dealing with. I think it's a huge advantage. And we've seen in years past teams. Do you go back to the senior bowl when they coach it in draft guys from there. I think the forty Niners the last few times they've coached if if drafted to three or four guys from their senior bowl roster. Yeah. And just to to get that little extra glimpse. I mean, we know that you know, we have limited teams have limited access to these players leading up to the draft. There's so many rules and so much stuff involved with the collective bargaining agreement. So this really is just bonus time to to really evaluate these players. And then of course, watching play a game on Sunday that he's a little consequence. But again a chance for these guys to show a little bit what they can do Pro Bowl coming up this weekend. And nobody cares about the Pro Bowl. We had a little fun tonight. And the fact that I don't remember the. Last time. I watched a probe. What about you you ever watch the Pro Bowl be peacock don't line up? No. I think I did once like in the nineties. Yeah. Actually, it's funny. I watched it was I was living in Chico, California. It was nineteen ninety nine and a not only did I have a bad hangover. But I'd I'd worked out the day before. And I hadn't worked out in a couple of months, and I went way too big. So you know, when you get like the armed anes from lifting weights. That's I was laying in bed with a bad hangover, and I was in excruciating pain from lifting too many weights. And so I laid in my bed rolling around and watch the Pro Bowl, I think that actually contributed to my pain and suffering that day. I'm definitely a senior bowl over Pro Bowl kinda guy. And I think our ton might have crossed paths might have crossed in Chico. I was there around the same time ninety nine to two thousand three ish you probably bought some pot from me, then no big deal. All right. Hey, but about the Pro Bowl a time for a couple of forty Niners to get recognized for terrific seasons. I mean, deforest Buckner and in George Kittle in particular Robbie goal just been fricking automatic. But just for deforest Buckner and George kiddle. I think as younger players in the league they've really made their Mark is a couple of the best players in the league at their respective positions. Absolutely. Do those guys are studying they're building blocks for the forty Niners. And they hit with George kiddle. When John Lynch was hired. He said he wanted to draft his stars. And they weren't going to be big in free agency. And you've seen the I two free agent periods. They've gone through. They didn't really try to go big. And they wanted to drop their stars in the inherited deforest Buckner who a rookie of the year before a drafted at least one star so far and George kill. And they've got a huge opportunity to do that again with the number two pick this year. But that's those are building blocks for sure for the forty Niners long-term. Yeah. As we get a little closer to the draft. Be will. We'll delve into some specific personnel and guys that they should be targeting. I mean, these mock draft are going to change a lot in the coming weeks. And we'll see if the forty Niners even in a position where maybe they wanna trade back into choir some, more pigs. I don't think that that's the worst course of action provided they can get somebody with whatever selection. They they have. I for them is a guy that they're targeting, and they can absolutely one and can help the squad. We got a little news. Earl Mitchell's not going to be back next year. What does this do to the depth at that position? You know, kinda going forward. I know the line is something they definitely want to be addressing anyway. Yeah. They think they have so many bodies to complete the interior. They're not worried about it and DJ Jones the second year guy proved a he could be that nose tackle. And he really took over at the end of the year. Anyway, so they weren't going to pay him the twenty nineteen option Earl missile that is to to stick around. So everybody likes him to be writers loved him good locker room guy. But it was just a it was time to move on. They've got a guy that they want to start at nose, and that's DJ Jones, at least in base packages. And then in sub they've got a number of big bodied ends. They can kick inside and Robert solid talked about Eric Armstead plan some sub package nose tackle. And got Sheldon day in Selma. Thomas is probably best doing that. As an end on the outside and in base, and then going inside on sub. So they got a lot of guys to play in rush from the interior. Now, they just need that outside guy. I love it. When you differentiate base versus just gets me so excited. Just makes me long for football and PR Garson. It's probably a formality at this point. He's not going to be back next year. Also, Malcolm Smith talk to me about those guys. Yeah. The both of those guys I finger in the same boat, and they're all part of that free agent class. And you know, it's a bummer for them because they're deal was look we're gonna we're gonna sign you. Because we have a blink roster in we need guys we can trust. It can come in and start some games for awhile. But we get good. You're not going to be here anymore. And so that's I think the forty Niners are hoping that they're going to be good now. And then the last couple of years of those contracts. I think even when they signed you knew they weren't going to earn those entire deals, and so I would be surprised actually if peer Garson or mountain Smith are around next year, Malcolm Smith, maybe has an opportunity to stick just because of the the Reuben foster stuff down one more linebacker, but they'll probably address another linebacker either in free agency or the draft. So those guys might also be on their way out. Yeah. And that's you make an interesting point Brian Garcia thing. I can. Totally see that in you can find receivers out there that cost a lot less than pure Garson. Maybe they could bring back Malcolm restructuring the deal possibly because I don't think that there's some overwhelming amount of depth of the linebacker position in the guy did have some productive years up in Seattle. I mean, there's a reason why the forty Niners thought that he'd be a nice fit here in this scheme. But it just hasn't come to fruition because he's been so banged up talking to Brian peacock. Locked forty Niners podcast rankled with you on tonight at beady peacock on Twitter, you know, where to find him a boy conference championships Sunday man, I think like while I was talking to Kirk Morrison. It's like we needed an extra week, especially this year. It's nice to have two weeks in between the conference championships and the Super Bowl just to digest everything that happened that was a hell of a day of football. And you know, it's funny, Brian, you know, here the LA Rams forty Niners division rival. But I think it bodes well for the, you know, the young cats in the NFL coaches and players maybe that next generation, I think for. A head coach Kyle Shanahan to see Sean McVay and really for forty Niners fans to see Sean McVeigh with this Rams team in the Super Bowl knowing how quick they turn things around. I think that should make forty Niners fans reasonably optimistic. Even though it sucks a division rival go to the Super Bowl. Absolutely. And there's a lineage there with shannahan in McVay and a lot of those coaches that have worked with either one of them and directly under them. And of course, McVay worked under Shanahan in Washington. They're getting hired away from other teams. So there's obviously some talent there and they are in demand in. So I think things are looking up and you've gotta be excited for your forty Niners fan your coach in his tree is already in demand. When he's not even forty years old yet. And I think the long term of this division in the that Rams forty Niners the forty Niners. Gotta catch up a little bit. And and they've you know, they were behind the Rams roster wise, but this season this offseason, the least could be a nice little boost in in and be what they need to go along with a healthy. Jimmy Garoppolo to be ready to go. Oh, and and make that a rivalry next year. Is it going to be asking too much of Jimmy Garoppolo next year from the jump coming off a rebuild ACL to kinda hit the ground running? Because the one thing I know for a fact Brian this regime cannot afford to get off to a slow start next year this team needs to have success in the month of September. And for various reasons the first two years it has not happened in. You got a you know, a quarterback making a ton of scratch coming back off a rebuilt ACL. There's obviously going to be some new faces here as you would expect with a team that's lost as many games as the forty Niners have the last couple of seasons. But I almost feel like they don't have that wiggle room anymore. The honeymoon's over like it's time to win. And unfortunately, that's coincided with bringing quarterback who's coming off a serious knee injury. Yeah. And I think that's why they have to be a little bit more urgent in this free agent period than they were the first couple of years because they've got to win they've got to win early. And if the aren't winning, you know, five six. Games into the year next year. We're going to start talking about jobs, and the jobs might be you know, tenuous so they have to win they have to win early. I don't think it's too much to put on Jimmy Garoppolo because it's it's time. I it's time to play well and as long as that needs good. And if you're looking for the upside of that knee injury had happened really early in the season. So plenty of time to be ready to go, and they're even talking about him being ready to go and not as so forget about camp or even the beginning of the season. He'll be ready to go earlier in the offseason to at least start doing work in. He's already thrown and stuff. So you you've got to put your hoping they paid him. He's a veteran quarterback. Now, he's been around the system he should know the system well enough, you should be able to hit the ground running for sure in week one. I think the forty Niners should expect that in a perfect world. Brian who leads the forty Niners in receiving next year. I would say perfect world Dante Pettis because he's been around, but that might be amended by a draft pick and say the top of the second round pick thirty six overall or you think a rookie straight. I was gonna say you think a second round pick. You know, what this group they have here with good win..

Get around speakerphone and the rest of the family, but is at the draft. Embarrassing. I'm bad. I'm kind of horrified that was back now that that's a real person. Well, this is a long time ago. This has been oh, I would say ten to fifteen years ago. We're talking about this sort of situation missing the birth of a child. Yes. And it was real because I knew who the guy was I did not know that this actually happened. But it did it was a two day golf tournament. Just amateur golf tournament. And they had talked about he said, you know, if if I still have a shot. You know, and all of a sudden they get to call. I wanna finish out because a lot of times, you know, on goes into labor. It's an hours long process. Some go fast. You just can't predict. Yeah. So are you originally gets the call is I remember like on the front nine and he's like a couple of shots off the lead. And then about on whole twelve gets the call like it's going to happen. You better get here. Like a couple of people from the family better get here. I told her I'm finishing. Oh, boy, he finished did not finish. In the top three was about an hour late for the birth. So he was a loser and missed the birth of his child. Yeah. I, you know, I don't even know if I would have the guts to have that conversation with my wife, if she were expecting if even bring it up right to bring it up like if if there was something big happening, professionally for me, and I would just say, hey, Honey, look, I know that it's possible that you're going into labor rally time, but you know, the bosses say I really need to be at this conference. I would be afraid to bring because this could mean a lot of things for our future. I would be terrified to even bring that up to my wife. I understand guarantee you that would wind up being an only child, okay? Deal. Yeah. That's it. Well, the. The other part of it is people have to travel for work all the time. So do you block out a whole month because I do know people that you say you've had a kid already and the kid was past the due date. And so you're planning again for kid number two. And there is a two day overnight that you gotta do for work, and it's two weeks out from the due date, and you both. They're like, yeah. That should be safe. And what happens you, miss it? Yeah. Those things can happen. You know what I mean? But yeah, the whole golf tournament fantasy football thing. That's in another arena for me got my draft. What are you? I mean, listen, I know that it's childbirth is a miracle here. But there are bragging rights on the line here. Yeah. I gotta get to running backs before the sixth round. I don't want to bring this completely halt. But the other thought that I had about this story because everybody's like up in arms about he's gotta be there. He's gotta be there. What a more hopeful of is that he's there after year two and after five and after your ten and fifteen but somehow our societies not too focused on that. It's about being there for the birth. That's the most important. No, it's most important be there after ten years from now he can take a break from his second family business. I don't know if you saw this story fully grown man took an ax to his house and his car. Why? Well, his problem with the wife. You know, what he thought she was doing? Nope. You guess fooling around? Yeah. But that wasn't it. Oh. He thought he has wife was messing around with his action figures. Well, story goes totally sane. Then boy beat up beat the heck out of the TV. Computer, other household items went outdoors spotted the car all of this. He did say he was drinking too much really rested taken to jail, but it was all because she had messed with his action figures. So I want to ask you, Scott. You knew this was gonna come to your dog collector know, Nope. What do you call them pop figures their pop their their pop companies a little figures of people that I like they're not dolls. They're figuring. Right. Exactly. I don't even take him out of the locks leave him in the box. All right. But that's not an action figure. No. Well, no, okay. Bobbleheads. Something else. The also. Well, yes, I have bobbleheads to I have bobbleheads. I have a little pop figures. And. Yeah. Okay. And now is pretty much it. And I don't mean to mock what you're going to. Is that like an investment like these are going to be worth a lot or you just like them and like them around both. I've told my daughter for years, you're not going to be left with the pile of money, but we'll have a hell of a garage sale someday. And you're going to have this little action figurine of slash and axl, right prints, and and bobbleheads from all my favorite baseball. Exactly. Are you ever are you ever tempted to.

It's part of being a fan deal with it. I feel bad for you right after the game. But when they started all of this crap. Now, go stop enough. What do you make a Kaelin Saunders? Western Illinois defensive tackle skipping. The birth of his daughter for the the senior bowl senior bowl this week. So he's skipping the birth of his daughter, his fiancee's, I on a hill preparing to give birth. They said perhaps the next twenty four hours or so. I was interested to see what she said. She said she she texted his agents said I'm going to the hospital. Don't let him come back here. So she wanted to stay there too. So I guess if she wants him to stay, and they want to hopefully, this helps their future whatever, I don't really care one way or the other whether you want to show up or not I just get bet when people get mad at people for wanting to be there for the birth of their child, if you don't want to be there that's between you and your wife fiance, and your child whatever child, they're were gonna know. But it's between you and your wife or fiancee. But I hate when people like I can't believe you'd miss that game. I can't believe you do that to be there for the birth of your child. That's the only part that upsets me is when people get on people for making the decision to leave when it's the birth of their child like that happens every day. Child. But when I read this as like unless he was like, she was a he'd better be here. New thinking on that show. And I was like, ooh, you might not want to go home. After that. That'd be a rough homecoming for you, pow. But the fact they're both in honor. They both think this is best for their future. Whatever. Yeah. For like the first one, I think it was like the fourth or fifth. What's difficult? This is a difficult one. Yeah. Six. I see. That. Yeah. I was there for the ultrasound. That was a good enough. But this is different because this is like a job interview be tough to skip at job interview for somebody from western Illinois, ninety get many cracks in it. Anyway, when is that senior bowl Saturday or Sunday at one of the two. One. I'm.

And if you know anyone who works there by wanna get in touch with them five people were killed. There was a standoff between a gunman and police negotiations failed swat team breached the building and a twenty one year old suspect surrendered himself to police and was taken into custody. Astounding to me that they can take a twenty one year old kid into custody alive after killing five people and unarmed motorists in this country. Continue to be gunned down by police amazing. Astonishing. And not at all good. And our hearts and thoughts are with the people of c bring and I don't know. What else what you say about a twenty one year old kid who does something like this? But see bring is now a national news. I'm seeing all my national news sources tweeting about this. Did you find his Facebook page? I did I linked to it on the drew Grabo live page. You see you see anything weird on there? I see a white kid with glasses. I see one weird thing which looks like a. Looks like someone sitting underneath a tree in a foggy. Looks like a graveyard and like a looks like the red witch from game of thrones game of thrones bad news. It looks like that. And this was posted back in two thousand sixteen. There's nothing to say about this other than it's a huge tragedy. Don't know if it was a Bank robbery gone wrong or just somebody wanted to shoot up a Bank. But I'm sure more details will unfold our governor to his credit went down to see bring to appear at the press conference speak at the press conference, and they are promising swift Justice. I just saw from Melanie Michael that he called nine one one and said that he fired shots in the SunTrust NC bring killing five, and of course, I clicked on the link in her thing in her stupid station doesn't have the link active. I called the monster rut, and he's I tell him now. How's George not now? Live. What's going on? Hello. How are you? Sean, I want her to fire up some over here. John. You help. You held through the break for that. Yeah. Yeah. I I knew I knew a restaurant. What was it? It's second line. Yeah. He's right. Right. It's the second line. What I what else? Do we have your way? Besides monster have concert tickets are. Yeah, we do have concert tickets. We've got I know tickets to see the Tedeschi. Come into our Lang. Yeah. You want to go see the Tedeschi trucks band in LA. I've never even heard of that. So. In great. Thanks sounds like a big ingrate to me. Thank you for your call, though, seventy seven five seven nine one zero two five at eight hundred seventy seven one one zero two five so Kaelin Saunders is an NFL prospect and. He found out Monday night that his fiancee's on the cusp of going into labor with their first child. He's choosing to stay at the senior ball to showcase his talents to NFL scouts rather than attend the birth of his first child. I don't think that's good. I don't think that sends a good message to anyone. That's my first thought was. But then I was thinking he goes to the senior bowl his his girl is pushing him to go. She doesn't want him to be. She wants him to be at the senior bowl. Right. He tried to find a way to provide for his kid. The NFL can give you a good shot of that. At least for a few years. If you're decent why not try to pursue that for your for your future family. Some things are bigger than work. And I and I think the attending the birth of your first kid that's something you'll never ever ever regret doing. I agree with you. I'd say ninety seven percent of the time. But with something like this year, potentially taking the chance further be no work. I mean, I don't know how important this was going to be for him. But this isn't to me this could potentially be even bigger than a Super Bowl because you may not even get a chance to play in the NFL or a Super Bowl ever if they don't. See you on that day. So this seems like it's very important not just about that day in that moment, but for his future, which ultimately is going to be important for his unborn child. So this may be under the category of very rare occasions where you gotta make a really hard decision. So he's not from a major school. He's from western Illinois where Rodney Harrison what he is not I guess, he's not a top prospect. So he needs to work is asked off to to set himself. I'm just playing your side for a moment to set himself up for his future. And maybe this is something that can help him line as pockets. But would you have ever wanted to miss your first child being brought into this world? No, I I couldn't. But I mean, if I was faced with if I was twenty twenty one, and I was facing this opportunity potentially in the NFL. I don't know I'm differ because of because of everything that I went through my story is different. Some people are just it's easy to have kids you have sex. You have a kid boom. And you're gonna have a lot more. So maybe it's not a big deal to some people or maybe just providing is more important than just being there for your girl that day, she's very close to being born. And she hasn't been already by the time, we say this. And after reading it on the on the news story could happen at any time. The fiancee said quote to his agent, quote, I'm going to the hospital. Don't let him come.

If he runs a four six five four seven, and so it's just it's hard to kind of match it up so guys like Nazir Adderley from Delaware. Corey Ballantyne from Washburn talked about John Kaminsky from from Charleston as defensive lineman, another defensive linemen Kaelin Saunders from from western Illinois who talked about made news because of the birth of his child and the backflips and all that. But this is an opportunity as a three hundred and ten pound nose tackle to come in and show that he can rush the quarterback, and that he is more athletic than your typical nose tackle. So there are a lot of guys here. Key Keelan dos from UC Davis had a really good first day at the wide receiver position. He's got size at six three two one hundred pounds. So. More. So than anything, I think that these these are the guys even the stetch tight, and we just talked about six eight and change two hundred and forty three pounds with the big hands and thirty six hundred eight inch arm length is even just that measurement to verify that for a guy from Stetson it jumps off the page. And now they're going to be teams that go back and say, wait, we got what's do some more work on this guy and make sure we might not be staring at player that could emerge as a huge future ahead of them. And we're going to miss on because just because he came out of Stetson. So I think it's a great opportunity for a lot of those guys. I just mentioned Mel Jason Pruitt asks which position group you see where there's risers the guys that could unexpectedly crash. The first round is at tackle maybe wide receiver. We've talked about how the class might be a little thin it wide receiver. What group do you see that? You think a guy or two could come out of that group in crash senior bowl lies or overall just overall overall terms of crash? In the first round. Yeah. I think when you look at the running back position who we get one Todd. Do we get one guy maybe to that?.

"I like him as a single I but he played out nickel. He played in the box. I thought he had pretty good player condition. He pulled couple of plays in the box play action. Really good job there. When when it came to one on once I I thought he strode in man coverage you got bullied at the top around with tied titans of I think foster Monroe gun once John are him gone. In college. Yeah. I mean, any big guys. And then I think they even put them up against like Isabela and Isabella got a couple. I got him once. So I mean, there was some struggles there. I think I mean, he's not refined. But like. I still love him football. You have in mind, you it's like the team drills or more concerning because that's more of a replication of what of gain game like action is one on one drills are geared eight twenty towards the office. You know, it's it's tough to win a one drill as a defender in winning cleanly. But I do I thought he did find was sounded team list. Sound team? Does he was fun? It was asking him to do a lot of different things. I think downs kind of kind of part of it of Craig from the quarterback position. I mean, we saw a little bit of the money or are yet. How about that is only January, and I got that name down, buddy. What did you think about him on a money? Penn State cornerback. Yes. Or jam? He he really can run with guys that are working with really hard on pressman. Again. He's zone cover guy, mostly good ball skills. But he really showed good footwork out of man. A couple rep's against Jalen mills that were. Jacoby meyer. Mike goodness. I'm so sorry to Comey mired got the better of him just coming in and out of this breaks a little bit. He wasn't able to keep up. He got spun around bad once I believe that video was kind of making the rounds. They're on Twitter, but he did have a few good reps against Meyer in one on one able to turn with him. Get a good jam. And kinda squeeze the boundary and force him out of bounds and force bad throw. So he's still a guy that I'm looking at that. I think can really contribute you that is a potential day to guy that that she's can pick up before we move onto max, he'll talk more about the trench guys. But I wanna talk about Jacoby Meyer because he's he is approaching son status for me as after wide receiver position. He's a guy. He was my tile senior Boris humor coming and outside of deebo today. I thought you. Myers to watch for Mansi state. When it's just a not spill him, you caught everything that came his way, the reason I I might even like him a little bit more than DiBa just because he measured in six to today. Also, these new correlative in new to the water resist. He came into NC state as a quarterback. So these guy that I think his upside is very high. I was actually really impressed today with his ability to defeat press coverage. So he's someone that is worth keeping an eye on the rest of the week. Oh, wait. We won't really get to see him the rest. But but he's someone to work even I on throughout the process of see how he runs and works out and all that stuff. And I did like that they purposely put aurea and him against each other in one of them one's repeated like they weren't trying to get looks at other people. They wanted that matchup. I really liked that they did that Mattielo and ask you because I know you paid attention to LG call your you paid attention to Kaelin Saunders. Those couple of guys that you you kinda liked during the there the practices speak. So they'll j us TCU Ed Schleyer in most people know, but no goo who was also kind of more popular player there. He was actually word awful linebackers. Not sure about the decision. That's another Gruden head scratcher for a guy. That's like prototypical edge size three four outside linebacker looking guy. But give but Eljay all your he's a little bit more stout..

"I have no problem with that. None. None. You know, like I had back surgery in buffalo. I heard needed a disc in my neck, also. So the back Surgers herniated disc in my back to my right MC L A couple times broken hand high ankle sprain. Whatever. But I also herniated disk and my neck in BRUCE'S my spinal cord, so I'm kind of of the mindset that I just want every guy that has these gifts and has the potential to play in the league. I want them to get as much as they can out of those gifts to try to set themselves up for the rest of their life as possible when they can right. And so that doesn't mean going pros the right thing for everyone and the college experience is amazing. And something that, you know, once you're gone, it's kind of over. And also, you know, the other thing you got to think about is. Can you improve your draft stock enough that it makes sense to come back even like moving you could argue from six round pick to a fourth round pick. They're not cutting a fourth round pick six pick. You could still get cut. They just don't have as much invested in you. So I think there's some some value there. But ultimately, I just I mean, especially for the guys they graduated like thirty these guys already graduated thirty two I think that's even different. But even if you haven't already graduated. I'll never fall to guy for saying. I'm going to try to make you know start to start to get as much money from this as I can now not knowing when my my body clock. My time is going to be up. So I just you look at it differently. When you've actually played when you've actually had those surgeries when you've actually had that pain. And then when you actually have kids, and you know, what you're trying to do here. You know, you're trying to have financial security for them. I played seven years six years that count from my pension and benefits. So I got a good head start there on retirement and stuff, which is great. I was able to start five twenty nine plans for my daughters. I mean, it just this is this is real life. This is not making decision based on Joe state, use personal entertainment. Stay a while. We're on the topic of college prospect decisions about western Illinois, detangle Kaelin, cylinders elected to stay at the senior bowl rather than to beat the birth of his baby girl. So this is interesting timing because I saw video on Twitter yesterday. And I quote tweeted it, and it was pretty awesome. It was a coat Seru something in one of the European leagues. And evidently. One of his players left at like halftime. I think of a semi final game in the playoffs. Because his child was being born and. You know, the coach is being questioned about that. And he's like checking on my Twitter at Ross Tucker NFL, and he's like, but what are you talking about? Let them go his child's being born and the reporters like, yeah, it's semi finals. It's kind of an important gain. And the coach is awesome. He's like, do you have kids and the reporters? Like, no is it. Okay. Well, talk to me when you do he said because there's nothing more important. And when you see your child born that is the height of the human experience, which I thought was such a awesome line. So I love that. And I I tweeted that and loved it. But I also understand why Kaelin Saunders did not go. Because Kaelin Saunders is an FCS defensive tackle. Right. So, you know, come in from a lower level and. With a really good performance this week at the senior bowl has a chance to greatly alter his life and that baby girl's life in terms of what he's going to be able to provide for her..

"And then we saw a Louisville. Jalen Smith, go. And it was just a completely different. You know, rep you just it looked like they were running two different things because of how low how good of a flexibility in his hips in his ankles, and his knees he's able to sink his hips. And that is so huge in creating separation in thought he did good things down the field as well. He ran a couple nice deeper post routes across the middle. He had one at the end there where he was absolutely wide open. The ball is thrown a little bit low he adjusted well to hold it in and it was either an incomplete pass or fumble. We couldn't really tell but he made a good adjustment to it. But just wasn't able to finish that play. So that's something. I wanna see him improve on. But he didn't have any drops other than that one. That was kind of a really nice play for him to adjust his body. He created tons of separation. He rented really nice post corner route got open, but the ball was overthrown. So a guy who just got open. I think a lot of people expected India's ability to come in. And hundred Renfro to come in and just be that dominant slop guy, but I think between those three guys penny. Heart was just as good if not better than those two guys today. And I think he deserves a ton of credit, and I think you could see him start walking his way and draft boards here soon, titan titles kind of a slow day today if I had to quickly I just want to talk about about heart real quick heart heart surprise because he's not somebody who I had seen coming into this today. And I was very impressed with what I saw from him. I also have one more announcement to make defensive tackle Kaelin Saunders decided to stay here. His fiancee was going into labor, and he is now a father. So like to congratulate him if he ever listened to the guest, he if you guys are on Twitter, you'll know him for he's the guy who is over three hundred pounds. Sounds and can do standing backflips. That's why that's how he got his claim to fame recently. Even though he's been a good football player for for a long time. Another small school guy. Yeah. Another small school guy. My tight end. Like, you said kind of a slow day for tight end tight ends or tough here as well. Because they have to do dole duty between you know, blocking in run in the run game. So you don't always see them during one B.

"Mitch Trubisky finds out that he will. In fact, be headed to the Pro Bowl later this week. With Jared Goff still playing for something a little bit bigger a bigger bowl of the two that paved the way for Mitch Trubisky. As you've watched this young man here in Chicago play in his second season to be even in consideration for something like this speaks to the evolution and on the path maybe a positive one that he is on right now how impress were you with him the season and how good can this young, man? Be. I was very impressed with him this year. And I think Maggie has done a fantastic job of bringing him along very similar in my in my opinion of the way that Andy Reid has has treated Patrick Mahomes. And and because the style of coaching is very similar is they wanna make it extremely simple. Make these throws continue. Don't don't hurt your football team. Let let let things happen. Let things evolve. Now, they may progress it different race. But I think Nagy is getting the most out of Trubisky and and his maturation, and I love listen fellow tar heels, you don't pull informed. No matter what. But I think he has proven, you know, as the year progressed they can win they can win it all with him. They they get a bounce the right way or whatever it looks like they're continue to move on the defense. They Bill pace has done a good job. And do a good job. This is the team to look for in the future. And and you gotta love when you have a young guy at that position. Who's made some throws like he made this year. You gotta be. Excited about him. Hey, last one you played in the league for a long time that we were discussing this earlier, Tom Palacio from NFL network tweeted this drama as senior bowl week begins. Western Illinois, D, tackle Kaelin Saunders. Also known as the three hundred twenty palm backflip guy just found out his fiancee went into labor in Chicago. I'm told they discussed this possibility. She's not doodle January thirty one and agreed if she goes into labor he needs to stay right there at the senior bowl huge opportunity laser locked that was the tweet. So where are you as a former NFL, our I don't know if you have kids I have never asked. Okay. You do. This is just committed. Follow your footsteps. Absolutely. Yeah. As a receiver man headed that way. Congratulations. Go to play for old Mack Brown. Just like you. Okay. So this kid he is not coming from North Carolina. He's not coming from Notre Dame. He's coming from western Illinois where he's the twenty third ranked D tackle in the field right now for this draft. What would you say to him if he said, hey, my fiance, and I are on board together that I'm going to stay and try and get this opportunity for our future. Others say X your kid. You gotta leave man at one of the toughest questions. You could ask. I mean, I I think about if he you know, he and his is beyond say in the mom of of his of his child. I think whatever they've agreed to I'm I'm going to support that would be a tough thing for me to do to miss my child's birth. And I can understand people saying, hey, you know, you need to be there. And maybe he and his fiancee see this as a chance to better the life of this job. And so they're willing to take the risk of of her possibly having the child may. But I I am I am not India for that decision. Good heavens. Man. I mean the way to that four kid, but, but that's a lecture whatever he decides support him either way, whatever he and his wife decide or decide is the best thing for them. I think the rest of it need to leave them alone and let let his journeyman I just pray for the wish him..

"As senior bowl week begins. Western Illinois, defensive tackle Kaelin Saunders, aka the three hundred twenty palm backflip guy, just found out fiancee's went into labor in Chicago. He is at the senior bowl trying to make a name for himself to get drafted. They discussed the possibility she's not due till January thirty one, but she is in labor and both. Agreed. He needs to stay right there at the senior bowl huge opportunity for them laser locked. What do you think? So he's not gonna leave the senior bowl. Correct. This their first child doesn't say, I don't know. And she's okay with this. Yes, she she understands business, and they said they agreed together. He needs to stay this. Western Illinois, crat, right? It sound like he played it Alabama. I get it. But the key part of the story is she discussed they discuss it with her, correct? And she was in agreeance, correct outside. That's all I need to hear. She understands that this guy's gonna going to support a family and a western Illinois grad is not on ESPN every Saturday playing football. I get what would have shape hepler say. I would probably say the same thing in that position. My I know my wife Mindy, she would say because I've said to her what if I was coaching or what advice she goes Hon, if we're making that kind of money as a professional athlete, we live a privileged life. You stay with your team. You know, what the issue is going to be even louder issue is if he's not supporting and providing not to say that she's not providing in her own right to, but you want to you want to incomes, and if he has a potential to bring in a series income, not that she can't do it herself. But that's amazing opening. Shut case on that one. What's your take? That's a tough call. That's a big dilemma as a dad. I know how important it was the birth of all three of my kids to be there something I'll remember forever. An end to be by my wife side for that is something that is irreplaceable. But I also know working in sports how important it is to get off on the right foot, especially in the NFL draft, especially for a kid who's not highly touted. I mean, you don't see his name in any mock drafts. And if this is his chance to make a name for himself and to kind of climb the draft board and set his family up for the future. I could see being there, especially if he talked to us beyond. She's like listen, go do this for the family. It gives them even more motivation to get going into get rolling. Yeah. Palacio said laser locked that's how they are about this opportunity. There you go make sense. So I just saw Chris what do you say? So I did some research has were sitting here. So he's the overall ranked player draft eligible right now two hundred and fifty one at the position defensive tackle. He's ranked twenty third based on ESPN stats. So it sounds like to me he kinda has to be there. If he was someone who you could say ads senior bowl, but you'll still get drafted it kind of have to be there for your wife for the birth. It's it looks like based on all the projections that he may not even get drafted. And that's I guess to them more valuable is that he has to be there. Interesting. It's an interesting perspective. Let's go back to the phones. Albert is downtown. It's our guy. Hey, Albert, what's going on buddy? I'm doing well. How you doing doing good? I haven't talked to you in a while. How you been Albert? I've been okay I've been doing. All right. You know, my phone has been I've been out for a while somebody stole my phone. Oh god. Welcome back to the show. Bob. What's on your mind? Yeah. I just wanted to say it is because of the environment today because we have gone blend. We have so many things going on this referee that could have gone played some gambling interests. Who knows what that reason being the game was be protected, and to do that most changed you. Yeah. I completely agree with you. Absolutely. If you're going to and then it's not just a gambling perspective in Vegas or the gambling with an illegal bookmaker. The league is now signing deals to encourage it because it's going to be legalized and eventually I would think most of the fifty states. So I'm with you Albert you can't ask people to put their money down. If they don't know they're going to get a fair shake. Thank you. Appreciate that. And I think they should go ahead and do it. We'll go we want to know that everybody's competing fairly agreed. Have a great day. Okay. Body. Don't be a stranger suicide. God bless you. God bless you. We'll see two more bear selected to as replacements to the Pro Bowl. Charles Leno, Charles Denno, junior, and Cody white hair. Eight bears will now be in the Pro Bowl year for Charles Leto about that got engaged Pro Bowl at heck of a year. Didn't that quarterback? Was that guy's name bears quarterback make it too. Yeah. That would be one Mitchell, David get on your timeline. I mean, everybody's well aware you're very excited about this. You're smiling ear to ear right now. This guy's Mitch Trubisky. Socks off by wife fund for. I've seen it all he is wearing Mitch Trubisky. Socks grab Tim in Midlothian shot. No shot. Hey, Tim what's up kit? Why camping Colin good morning boy. To a couple of things I got a basketball went to real quick after this. But with the football, there's these are the best in the world at what they do, and they get scrutinized and almost gun shy points. I think because anything they do when they do is under the microscope and in part of that deal with the timing of that, you know, that was the fourth quarters the first quarter. Of course, nobody give a holy crap about it. You know? So they're scrutinized guy makes eight hundred calls a year blows two of them. And because of the timing and the spectrum me was in it's bad. So you would not change anything. Nope. Wow. Interesting in earnest interested personnel. And then basketball real quick, you know, what they should do. NBA and college teams have in the last two minutes. They have like thirty of them, right? Because every time there's something they go to the screen golden screen. Yeah. They all anything in the last two minutes of the game. And then over. The guy around the court. I believe five guys that are on the court the bench for an extra time out for the coach to play with these guys. Let him stay on the free throw line to the reviews over and then go back to the game. Interesting point. Thanks bad. Appreciate your call. All right time to play. And I think some people are gonna well underway in on the tackle and his wife, but let's play shot. No shout right now..
"kaelin saunders" Discussed on The College Draft with Ross Tucker
"But the promotion ends in six days promo code big again taking a look at the defense, the edge guys Jalen joke. She had to talk about somebody else on the north. Charles Amena who Ben banal, goo Sutton Smith, Anthony, Nelson Byron coward, and L J Collier. Yeah. Well, Jalen Jeff stud, Charleston met who from Texas one of the first defensive players to accept his invitation to come down. Here had a good senior season. I liked him on film coming into the remember a lot of people were talking about that other Texas the end whose name escapes me anthem of coming into the season. I always liked demented. Who big body kid can line up inside or outside? Really good run defender still coming along as a pass rusher. But guy that I think has potential there. And then you look at Anthony Nelson, Richard junior who declared for the draft from Iowa had graduated. So as eligible to come down here and tall, log he's strong. He uses his hands pretty well. As a pass rusher. That's how he wins really is just with tower leverage technique effort. Ross reminds me of the debate from Penn State a couple years ago now Tampa Bay. Why is his name escaping Philly kid? But if you've got drafted by the Cleveland Browns in the third round reminds me a lot of massive onus. Yeah. Carl nasa. Thank you Carl reminds me a lot of Carl massive. And I think when you look at Anthony also, I think that's the kind of player he can be in the NFL. On the south side. You've got montes's swit- you ocean Jimenez, Jalen, Ferguson's, you get a lot of conference USA guys there. John Ryan Ledbetter Carl Granderson and Jerry green. I will say this. I read up a lot of this pre draft stuff. I see someplace where they got Jalen. Ferguson mocked to go in the first round other places where he's not even considered one of the ten best edge rushers. There's a wide variance of opinion on him. Well, I mean, he broke the all time FBI sacra. I mean, he's got forty five Saxons career broke, Terrell. Suggs record. You know earlier this year. So that's one reason why a lot of people are really excited about him. He's also a very big body kid. The thing is is that this is something he can help himself with this week more show at the combine, but this week as well people have questions about his athleticism. You know, does he have the first step does he have the flexibility as you have the quickness and change direction and be able to make plays and be that productive in the NFL. So I think when you look at Ferguson that's kind of the the question here with him is is he athlete enough to be quality edge rusher in the NFL. If you think he is then he's going to be one of the east going to be a first round pick. If he's not now, it's like, all right? Well, what what exactly kind of player we getting I've compared him in the past like, Alex Okeafor who was probably a replacement level star in the NFL for the he's played for the card played for the saints. And the saints felt they needed to Furger dress that position this year by trading two first round picks for Marcus Davenport. I think when you look at Ferguson that's kind of player I envision him being still a valuable part of a roster, but not a player that you're necessarily going to spend a first or second round pick on. So that's just kind of how I view Ferguson. But it's it is a good group. Overall, Montas sweats the guy that a lot of people are going to be really excited about he's led. The SEC sacks each of the past two years. Just he and. I'm not comparing him to Bradley Chubb because rally chose a top five pick. But he's kind of like Bradley Chubb in that, you know, he he looks the part he he's just not he's not overly sexy. And how he does it. But he's been very productive. He's long. He defend the wrong. He's got a high motor. There are a lot of things you like about Montessori. I'm excited really to see him up close this week. Hell boat detectable if on the north you got Zack out who's playing tackle, John Yemen. Ski Rennell Ren Kaelin Saunders. He's an FCS guy in Greg Jones..
