And i'm like dude tougher for sex with me or something like if i'm his life i'm like okay this somethings working here. It's two different women too so it's like it's not just that one of the other. This dude is this guy is. He has the red bull of the man stuff. You know what i'm saying is it comes with the passion i would. I would be worried if i were his wife. I would be like poyton this thing you got here. He's just gaining listeners. Every year this magic stick is your strategy. I probably have considered many years ago. I started at twenty. I think after by on. I need your guys advice on whether or not it's my duty to tell someone something. So yes yes all right bog over So one of my best best friends who is with someone else very very happily Her ex will not stop hitting on me and asking on deed. I would never go on a date. I'm not attracted to him be. I'm the most loyal in the game. However do i need to tell her that he is doing this. Because she's already in another happy released ignore him. Yep and just ignore him i but what is won't throw an to it benefit. Does it serve for for kaelin to go. Christi what benefit does it serve for kayla to her friend. Who's not with the guy anymore they're actors. She's moved on by the way. Let's dig this up from the past. It's just it's your obligation. Is her friend. Kaelin to just ignore it which i am well. Have you ever responded to any of his messages. Well he's a friend of ours. So when i didn't know he was hitting on me. We yes that's where it gets sketchy so you can't know each other but he's already slimy so there's a chance that he could casually mentioned to someone else that you guys are talking And then that could just blow up in your face. Yeah we're not talking. So i just think it's better if you tell her. Hey just so you know your actors being a creep. And he's hitting on me because if he meant the game of telephone happen they seem like you've got over it or like you feel guilty. That's i say you just ignore it because it's something that happens doing everything right. Yeah you're not. Losing out of adult stirred up friends in a happy relationship. Relationship now knows in. Need this past trauma coming exactly exactly just toxic back in her life. Yeah i think what it is. He's moved on. This dude is and she'll get involved should reach out to him and then maybe her boyfriend gets mad that she's so enough to say that we are talking and even if he were to say that. I'm not scared of that. Because i didn't do anything wrong. So but i just don't think that would happen or your obligations to be loyal your friend and stay out of it if you chose to do something about it. If you wanted to see this guy then you gotta talk to your friend. It's the point where he's like asking other people. We should double date. It's like you didn't even ask me trying to do it. And then yeah it's already spiralling. Just tell your friend. I would want my friends to tell me if my ex was creeping on them and hitting on them. Tell me even autism in marin gauge to someone else. I don't want to know i don't want to figure out the situation from someone else. Now you're dead to me. No situation nothing there. I really say stop answer if you wanted to go out with him or just you did go out with them. Then that's something you have to address with your friend. Otherwise the guy has no power zero power. We don't care decided. Tom i write your blog. you know so. I watched show on tv now. That's my new thing. I feel you watch invaded. That's your new thing. Let me air translator. So before i was in a relationship i never watch. Tv you guys would always come in here talking about shows. I never really watch tv. I'm i don't know if i'm just lighter. Show released new here. He's picture of the screen size watch. Tv now that's our thing we have shows right. My boyfriend hobby. We have our shows that we go through. Are they really random like we love cartel shows. Okay so tell crew. I love. I put him on today. San me watch. Yeah we watch narcos all different countries like they go in and there's this old like thing like the queen of the south. There's like a spanish version and english version. We watch both. They're really good. It's just now we're onto sex in the city. Which is my comfort. Show my was you. He watches won't admit that he likes it. And i hate one. You guys men do like just say you like it. You know you do like less. Watch another episode. Yeah it's kind of like below deck. I i hate myself for watching. It was fun. I'll watch any of Mad sailing i watch any of them. I don't care. Yeah zealand. Show by the way till i don't know this view. Probably look it up. No for sure but i have a theory that those none of those guests are paying for those trips and tip is how they compensate. Because why on earth would i pay twenty five thousand dollars a week or whatever they get to be on one of those. I think it's more actually. I think it's like fifty thousand dollars with ever pay for that to denby filmed and made fun of the whole time behind my back and then aired on national television. I would never agree to bad. So what i think is probably giving them the trip for free and then the tip money is either the money they get paid to be on it or the money. Or that's how they compensate the crew because they make they kill these charter gas behind their back. Many of whom are rich successful people. So there's no way that i would agree to go on that show and and be made fun of like that on my own dime anyway. I never watched it so so sex in the city. I think it's interesting when he's not admitting he likes it if he were one of the main gals who would be. That's the question. I want to ask them tomorrow. Is he a carry. Maranda is he is. He doesn't know them well enough yet to probably decide. But i've walked series. I think he's a miranda. My boyfriend has very logical. Tell it how it is. I'm more of like the daydreamer in the relationship. And i my head's in the clouds in my ass butt heads in the clouds. That's my ads rookie. We don't need that right now. Some weird stuff right now. So i don't know. I just think he's like miranda because he just thinks with his head so much and i think with my heart he doesn't like kerry he says this girl's crazy trump. That's what he about. Carrie bradshaw is. It's very interesting for a man's perspective.

Flying Dildo Attacks a Sheriff via Drone

"Sheriff was attacked by a flying dildo riding a drone is that a dong a drone. Nobody expects a flying dildo. But that's exactly what confronted sheriff. Manuel gonzales whose campaign for mayor was dramatically interrupted on tuesday by large sex toy attached to a drone. The drone flew and hovered toward gonzales. Says he was answering a confrontational question. From a member of the audience it provoked some nervous laughter from the crowd of about seventy people. Gonzalez attempted to continue with his answer. A woman in the audience finally had to ask is that at dog on a drone. Sure sure it was a dengue on a drone. Who was flying. This dildo around the offending object was then snatched from the air by a man identified in the press as the owner of the establishment that was hosting the event. The incident resulted in criminal. Charges ooh i guess they found out who was flying dildo drone twenty-four-year-old kaelin ashby dryer has reportedly been accused of punching gonzalez on his hands. During a brief scuffle at the foot of the stage after the flying dildo was grounded and drier tried to retrieve it. I needed the play by play on that. Apparently they grounded the dildo now well the drone that was flying the dildo. These drones aren't cheap by the way. So if it's your drone of course you want to retrieve it if you can so then it seems as though twenty-four-year-old kaelin ashby dryer ran to the front of the stage where the potential mayor gonzalez was giving his speech answering his questions. Scuffled with some people as he tried to retrieve his flying dildo and punched the guy that was running for mayor. Sugar vs. Salt

"Hi i'm molly bloom. And this is smash boom best the show where we take two things smash them together and ask you to decide which one is best today. We're going to tickle your taste. Buds with two of the most mouth watering flavors in the world one is the savory mineral we like to lick off pretzels the other is the sweet ingredient. We like to sprinkle on our cereal. That's right it's sugar. Verses salts which fabulous flavor will come out on top here to help us. Decide is ceylan high kaelin high volley. Thank you for having me. Thank you for being here today. So kaelin before we get started. I just wanna know. What kind of snack do you prefer salty or sweet. That's it's a tough one. But i think i'd have to lean closer towards salty. Sweet can be a little too overpowering so when it comes to salty snacks which is your favorite cashiers or some type of nut. Caches are debt from my favorite. The cashews are very delicious even though you prefer salty. What is your favorite sweet snack. I'm not quite sure of. This is a snack but we have bacon covered in sugar kinda like evenness of a little bit of salty but mostly sweet. So that's why. I like that mix. I am a huge fan of a salty sugary. Mix myself so it sounds amazing. So as you know. This is a debate show where the art of persuasion is highly valued. Do you ever into debates with friends or family. Maybe about food while recently me my brother. We had this debate because he was on a cooking contest so he learned all these skills like how did juliana pepper and he tried to tell me that he was better at cooking. I don't know how to julius peppers so he has more skills than i knew but he never uses them. I cook a lot more often so we were going back and forth trying to figure out. Who's the better cook and my step mom came. She was like. I agree with kaelin. Like church doesn't know how to julianne pepper but overall i think she a better cook nice. You've got that judge in there yet. So what's your favorite thing to cook. I like making mac and cheese and orange chicken. Because i really like to those mac and cheese an orange chicken is a little sweet sweet salty. Dish yeah it is well now. It's time to introduce our debaters here to defend salt the mineral. We always have handy at the dinner table. It's cookbook and children's book author new york times columnist and restaurateur kenji lopez. Hi kenji her you doing. I'm doing great so. Kenji recently wrote a picture book. Called every night is pizza night. My daughter loves it. Can you sum it up in one sentence and it's about a girl named people who believes that pizza is the best food in the world and then discovers that there are other foods that could also be best. Pizza is delicious. I do agree with her. And kenji in one more sentence why assault cooler than sugar well because there are lots of things that that there are lots of things that tastes great with just salt and no sugar but there is nothing that tastes good with just sugar and no salt. Everything needs salt It's essential for for many many reasons. Excellent while here to defend sugar. That's sweet stuff we sprinkle mix and melt into all of our favor treats its molecular. Biologist turned cookbook author food photographer and recipe developer. Nick sharma hi. Nick hi molly neck. You'd just published a cookbook. Called the flavor equation. Can you describe that in one sentence. Yeah my cookbook. Is a science based cookbook. That talks about You know what makes labor so special to all us from my emotions memories and the sights sounds textures rumors taste and even you know salty. I put it in the book. That was very generous view. It sounds sounds like you've been giving a lot of thought to sugary and salty flavors recently so in one more sentence. Why is sugar far superior to salt. I think this should summit up. I mean why would you like to be known as salty. Wouldn't you just want to be called sweet well. This conversation is already making me hungry. How are you feeling after these flavorful. Intros kaylin i already know. This is going to be a hard decision for me. Because they both brought some interesting points that i agree with both of them for so. I don't know it'll be hard for me. It's gonna be a tough debate for sure but before we dive in. Let's review today's rounds of debate. I we've got the declaration of greatness in this round. Nick and kenji will defend their sides. Using the most persuasive facts opinions and logic. they'll also each have thirty seconds to read. but the others declaration. Then we've got the micro around a creative challenge. Both sides have prepared for in advance for around three. It's the sneak attack. Will surprise nick and kenji with an exciting challenge. They have to respond to you on the spot and last for round four. We've got the final six. Both sides will have exactly six words to win over our judge. Kaelin will be awarding points to each side along the way but she'll keep her scoring a secret until the very end listeners. We want you to judge too. If you'd like to keep score on official scorecard you can download one on our website at smash boom dot org. And if you have any comments to share with us about the debate or the judge's decision had to smash boom dot org and send us a message. Alright nick and kenji are you ready to make some mouth watering arguments. Yeah let's do this all right. That it's time for the declaration of greatness ceylan you have two points to award in this round. One is for the best declaration of greatness and the other is for the best rebuttal. They can go to the same person or not. It's up to you and you can use any judging criteria. you want. Who is the funniest who had the more persuasive facts you decide got it got it excellent. We flipped a coin and nick europe. First let's hear your knock down drag out defense of the sweet stuff. We can't live without sugar. Sugar is magic. Don't believe me. Just watch the nutcracker. It takes place in the fantastical land of swedes where chocolates and candy canes dance and slow sparkles like sugar the ruler of his glittering kingdom the sugar plum fairy a beautiful fairy cream. Who gets me from sugar plum candies which are ugly. Enough not plums. Sugar plums are actually balls of sugar. Made of layer of mound layer of hard candy like the candy coating on eminence the tarsha and delight. Would you want to go hang out in the magical land of salt no. I'm imagining a desolate cave. Where pickles swing dance and saute bish flop around in the ground trying to breathe not a good scene. Take me back to candy land. Remember the game that is a magical game while you play you get to imagine licking the ice cream roof of candy castle is therapy board. Game called salty land where you take a bite out of a beef jerky fence. No because salt does not magical added is definitely not as amazing as sugar.

Johnny Depp Allegedly "Romantic" With Angelina Jolie, and Gwyneth Paltrow talks about Public Scrutiny

"I daily please. Welcome scott tweeted back to the show so much for joining us come for the christmas trees decorations. Everything christmas tree competition between justin. And i later in the show's to stick around for that. Okay it's a new way to light up your tree all right up. First today. the hollywood reporter reports that johnny depp dated angelina jolie cure nightly an marion cotillard. And all the details are about to go public sued. Johnny's going back to court With the defamation case against his ex wife amber heard it's based on an essay she wrote about abuse for the washington post back in two thousand eighteen. Now according to the hollywood reporter johnny will have to turn over all responsive communications with his alleged romantic partners in angelina. Marian and kiera have all been named in court. Documents now marian. Akira have already there on this. They told us they were never romantically involved with johnny. And we have not heard back yet from angelina so interesting. It's a little more of this. He said she said drama Do you think the trial will be even more damaging or possibly embarrassing for johnny than the british trial was. It's all so ridiculous. This man is doing this based on something that came out and twenty eighteen with everything going on in two thousand twenty and in the world. No one even remembers that johnny depp amber heard all of these issues anyway. what. I think we're more they issues. I mean in the bay. I mean he kept on saying allegedly in the bank. Yes that's what you would remember more. And i and johnny feels. He needs to clear his name and he has filed the. He's already put this much money into it. I see him wanting to see this through the time that he did this. He was hot on it. But by the time you actually go to trial and all this davits it does feel like wow. Why are they still doing this. But also twenty twenty probably delayed a lot of things you know. It delayed a lot of stuff. And everybody's lives feel for these women who are now being dragged into this and they have nothing to do with johnny depp now carrying kierra in delina. Their names are part of this drama. And according to kira and marian they tell us like why we were never even romantically dated part of it. That's the worst part of the if somebody denies there your data when you say you did and it's on court documents said negative about this. Johnny's just wants to come out swinging. He wants to clear everything and go so he's got nothing to lose right now the position he's in even though farrah's outside his list you can lose a lot with this fahim. It's like there's nothing to lose. This is heaven hell scenario. It's heaven for the lawyers. I only gel for everyone else. One hundred percent. I totally agree and by the way there are times where companies know that. They're not wrong. They know that they are not liable for what happens to somebody but lawyers will say you need to settle this out of court because it's gonna cost you more in the long run. Why is no one sitting down with johnny depp. In saying yo at this point we know what you want to do. You want to clear your name. We know you're eagles getting involved. But you have to protect some of your reputation and dragging this out in american court after we just did it for a year in the uk cords. This is not going to be good for you. Take the l you still got ten million fantastic beasts. Somebody's gonna come back around for you. Mel gibson can get back from sugar. Tits. you can get back from this. Mean buddy but it's bunny but it's not all right. Well let's move on now normally when you're not dealing with an ugly trial there are so many perks. Do being a famous actress. Money fame and boyfriends. Like brad pitt. But gwyneth paltrow says the cost of fame was so high that she didn't want to keep doing it. Here's how she explained it on sirius. Xm's quarantined with bruce part of the shine of acting. What wore off. You know being in such intense public scrutiny beings a kid who's like living every break-up on every headline like being criticized for everything you do say in where show and also the the you know you're you're it's so transitory you're always all over. You think was more famous for her acting or for headlines. Sometimes i think back. In the olden days of hollywood in the early two thousands they kinda sorta went hand in hand. I think you became more famous when you were in a couple. And i think that's why a lot of times eight listeners hookup because they realize that their currency is doubled. Now still true today. The people don't use it as much as the used to i think. Stars kerry washington a-list stars mindy kaelin. They don't really use their relationships. Kids that are personalized very much. They have restricted that access and they got smart because they realized that once you do it once you can never stop ever even if you wanna stop it yet. Can't do it also in tech entrepreneurs and the new this out is yeah. I agree with you. i think for me. She's always been movie star. I assure the tabloids all the time about relationships but nine hundred ninety eight was her year sliding doors shakespeare in love expectations that was about the film's first and foremost and then after. That came all this when i started google and that created like a whole new kind of door to joe. And yeah she. She's now opened the doors to say like whatever. But i also think he's at a point now where she is just like take handles it all so much better. That's why she's clearly pursued kept pursuing this staying in the main stream and being super famous at the way she could've hidden away and not been out and about but she's everywhere like does not shy away at all so she's clearly got come to terms with this. I do think like it always helps if you can get into a relationship with another celebrity. I mean if you're trying to increase your fame. I'm that's why you have so many I'm using i know wags is not a bad term but i mean the women who there are a lot of women that go after just famous people are a lot of men that just go after famous women and it's like they do that for a period of time because they're really trying to increase their stardom and it helps

Trump holds first briefing since May

"Today the president held what was billed as corona virus briefing his first since April only there were no doctors and no experts and no plans as to what he is going to do now to slow the spread that we are still seeing and increasing instead the president tried to convince us to now believe not to not believe are is not believe our ears, and not believe a recent memory because he's now suggesting that he's always been in support of wearing masks. Have the mass grade here. I carried, and I will use it. Gladly no problem with it and I've said that, and I say if you can use the mask when you can use the mask if you're. Close to each other. If you're in a group I, would put it on. That is legitimately good message. That is the message that experts across the country have been calling for since April yet, this is now. This is this is now for the president. A do as I say not as I do situation because the president said that that today what you just saw, but did not wear a mask when he was here with a group of people at the trump hotel last night well were wearing masks, and he has made no secret that he does not like masks. The masks it's going to be. Really voluntary thing you can do. You don't have to do it I'm choosing not to do it. I think wearing face mask. As I greet. Presidents Prime Ministers. Dictators Kings Queens I. Don't know somehow. I don't see it for myself. They've learned about face masks. Good in the bed. By the way it's not a one sided thing, believe it or not. But for today you apparently can count trump as pro mask. Kaelin Collins is out front live outside the white. House for US Kayla. What else do you hear from the President? This first briefing back? We'll kate. He said that his administration has had this relentless focus on the pandemic. Though the president himself certainly hasn't because that was the first time he's taken questions on Covid nineteen from reporters in that room, since the month of April the same month, which is the last month that he attended a coronavirus task force meeting, but what you did see from the president. Today is an acknowledgement. He has not made recently, and that's that this is going to get worse before it gets better. He said unfortunately, and he encouraged Americans to wear masks when. When they're outside of their home. Though just moments later, he was forced to defend that video that you just show or he was at trump hotel last night, and he was near people where he was not wearing a mask, and it's not clear that those people had been tested though today. He defended it by saying he was socially distance from those people. You can't really tell in the

Kaylin Marcotte, founder and CEO of JIGGY

"To a special bonus episode of skimmed from the couch for small business. Week we have a small business founder with us kaelin marco who is the founder and ceo of jigsaw puzzles. She was also our first employees here at the skin. So we are so so excited for this very special episode today kaelin. It is great to talk to you about everything including gygi. We are so proud of you. Thank you for being on the show. Thank you guys. I'm so happy to be here. It is certainly surreal but very excited to be just to kind of level set before japan so we started the skin. Twenty twelve week took in our first funding in the end of two thousand thirteen. So employees started january of two thousand fourteen and in like november kaelin emailed us called amounts that she was a consultant lever talk through her background but she loved the scam and wanted to join us and to know what that would look like and so we met her for coffee at our favorite cafe and we hired her before we had an office before we haven't seen and had no idea what her role would really be or what it would become but she was employee number one. So this is a very very full circle moment for us. So caitlin we're gonna start our interview the way we do all of them. Which is kim your resume for us. I moved to new york from california. Where i'm from to go to barnard college. I studied political science and then my first job was management consulting. I was hired into of these two year rotation all kind of entry level programs about a year and a half into that. I sent a cold email to my favorite newsletter. And you know wasn't quite sure where it would go but wanted to shoot my shot and a week later. We sat down at cafe clooney. And i walked away from that and it was like there is no world in which i'm not a part of this and hopped on board. Join you guys as your employees next three and a half years crazy amazing wild ride rings get bassedas and social amazing experience. That left and spent some time abroad moved to london. I'm started consulting on my own. Such gone freelance projects working with startups and a media. Company is my sister. And i started an organization around single use. Plastic consumptions called project. Plastic is icy k. And it was essentially like whole thirty for classic use so a thirty day curriculum to go plastic free and then i started working on gigi at the same time and launched last year. November twenty nineteen. We love jackie. And we are so proud of you as you talk through this skim. What gygi s yes. So gigi we say we make puzzles worth framing. The idea for it started in my scam days. It was just also around the same time that head space came out. There was starting to be a conversation around. Mindfulness and meditation. And i was looking for what that meant to be in kind of just a way to unwind at the end of the work day and is are doing jigsaw puzzles and found them relaxing and stress relieving. They got me away from my phone and computer. So i fell in love with puzzles. Twenty fifteen but the ones out there were just like thomas kincaid or puppies in a basket and cottage scenes and just really uninspiring our choices. So the idea kind of planted then of elevating and reinventing the puzzle. And then i started really working on it. I wanted to feature the work of emerging artists and help support their work so started creating in licensing are emerging female artists around the world they get a percentage of every sale wanted to reinvent the packaging and presentation and also saw four. What do you do with the puzzle once you're done with it so each gigi comes with puzzle glue and an applicator. So when you're done if you want to keep it and turn it into real real art

"You said Kaelin about your friend and this this cold relationship this is interesting because I I feel like there are probably a number of people who got themselves into this in a similar situation where there they met somebody right before this home and I gotta wonder I'm one of these people I wonder what the success rate is for people because I feel like either you go all in and you know kind of immerse yourself with the other person because maybe it was only person you were exposed to the during or just ahead of it or does the whole thing fall apart or if you were sort of if you were sort of in limbo you know going into it and then you're not seeing that person and the only contact the you have like in this example is you know facetime or text or whatever then what are you supposed to do you know because I don't you don't I mean I guess it might you know it may be a long conversation going on though you're getting to know each other really doesn't stimulate people enough in most cases I mean if you don't really have a lot of of tenure with someone I don't know that I could just talk to someone from me then I get a lot of people that told the dating apps are for is just yeah the pen pals and then they go out with one person and dump the others but yeah I don't know I will have to get to we have a little bit more time by this is the interesting thing I mean when you think about people you know it's hard enough as you mention edgy for for people and in happy marriages the spend this much time with each other and then imagine trying to establish something and then on top of that is that was something with someone who you're not having any physical contact with at all point that interesting I mean how much face time body can you actually get before it's like I need the weight of a man has been four weeks now more than ever you deserve a place to relax.

From Adversity to Opportunity Pt3

"Welcome back to day. Three of the former adversity to opportunity series. This is C. Kaelin intention here is to help you to be happier healthier and stronger especially doing this challenging time. Yesterday we talked about who we are is what we consume so be very cognizant about what we consume. Today I wanNA talk to you about the importance of Self Care. Now you may say. Ck This is so basic. What I want to emphasize here is especially doing uncertain. Times especially during challenging times is even more important that we focus on our sphere of influence. A SPHERE OF CONTROL. Our sphere of rituals. Because if you focus on things that you can't control then you will get even more anxious more nervous and more worry but if you actually focus on your sphere of influence things you actually have controller starting with yourself. That's when we'll get real power real strength real certainty WANNA focus on here is rituals that you have to maintain your own. Sovereignty Maintain Your own control. Maintain your sphere of influence. Starting from number one will come on nutrition. You getting number two. What kind of exercises? You're getting number three. What Kinda. You're getting in number four. What kind of gratitude rituals you have? These are all things that you have direct control over in uncertain times. It's very easy very simple. I say a Maury. I'm concerned I'm nervous therefore let me throw everything out the window. Let me just go consume all the chocolate or the ice cream. All the sugary things on alcohol of the net flakes all the news that normally consume because this is a extraordinary time. I'm just going to eat or I can eat right. It's very easy to go down. That road requires a little bit more effort now to be aware to be cognisant to continue to follow through what you know you ought to do for yourself. The second thing here I want to focus on is exercise. It's very easy to forego your exercise routine skiving. Excuse of now. Having a gym is an example. I can't go to gym anymore. Therefore I'm juice GonNa not do it. I have my regular exercise. My resistance space exercise my weight lifting rituals. My Yoga class is very easy to use. All of that thinks you stop exercising altogether for those of you. That have regular excise rituals. You know that exercising enhance your mood in enhance your cognitive capability. Enhance your energy level. You just feel so much better afterwards at the same time. Also enhances your spirituality as well because it challenges you to actually be in the present moment right now so make sure you maintain your exercise ritual. The third thing is how much rescue getting how much you're getting. It's very easy just to throw out the window and just go to bed at four in the morning and wake up at two in the afternoon. Etcetera in times of uncertainty is even more important that you maintain your rest. Rest is directly proportional to how much immunity you have if you don't have enough rest. Your immunity is proven to go down proper. Rest is the bedrock of your emotionality your immunity as well as your cognitive capability so rest is super super important. Make sure you're getting enough rest. Make sure you get consistent rest. At consistent time the fourth thing in very very important for my point of view is the ritual of gratitude. Most of us are grateful during extraordinary moments. You go to a special concert. You see a special performance you go to a special festival. You go on a special vacation. You have a Special occasions like birthdays anniversaries weddings and so forth right. Well very grateful for extraordinary moments like that at the same time. Now you being forced to stay at home through social distance. It's very easy to say. This is so ordinary diseases so boring and therefore it's easy to not have gratitude for ordinary moments the practice. I'm inviting you to take on is to deepen your gratitude for these ordinary moments each ordinary moment. It's the atomic. Unit of our days are weeks or months are years are decades in ultimately our life. The more you practice being grateful for the ordinary moments the more you'll be able to appreciate your overall life if you can actually deepen your appreciation of the ordinary moments. The collective whole of your entire life would be so much more meaningful so practice. Deepening your gratitude for ordinary moments. Just like when you go to the gym you develop your capacity to lift heavier weights at a time of limitations and restrictions right now you can actually develop more capacity for different dimensions of freedom. Let me repeat that again. At a time of limitations and restrictions you can actually develop a higher capacity for different dimensions of freedom.

Trump tells Utah governor about Romney: 'You keep him. We don't want him.'

"Our politics lead today. President trump can't quit earlier today. The president spoke with the nation's governors. And and here's what he had to say to Utah Governor Gary Herbert About Utah. Senator Mitt Romney the lone Republican in the Senate who voted to remove the president. How's it been around me? The president trump on his vengeance store after getting acquitted and firing too key impeachment witnesses from their administration jobs as well as the brother of one of the witnesses and as C. N. N.'s Kaelin Collins reports for us. Now the president may just be getting warmed up today. The White House is standing in by the abrupt firing of two key. Witnesses in the impeachment inquiry they fired. They removed back to their original jobs. President trump has continued his streak of vengeance. Claiming lieutenant colonel. Alex deserved to be fired because of poor performance reviews while on the National Security Council though his attorneys called that obviously Asli False. CNN has learned before they were let go both Vin and anywhere Basseterre. Gordon Sunland or quietly planning to leave the administration. The trump didn't want them going quietly and fired them instead. Officials still claim it wasn't retaliation the president wants to retaliate. Because of the testimony testimony happened was in November and December. It's quite a while ago now in light of the firings Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer Today. Call the nation's inspectors general to protect whistleblowers whistle blowers telling the Pentagon vin was viciously attacked for bravely stepping forward. To tell the truth. The president is still lashing out at those he can't fire. WE'RE CONTINUING HIS ONSLAUGHT AGAINST UTAH. Senator Mitt Romney who broke with the Party and voted for impeachment. Romi you it today. Trump also touted his administration's four point eight trillion dollar budget proposal that features major cuts in eligibility changes in federal safety net programs like Medicaid food stamps and disability claims while boosting military spending. We're we're going to have a very very good budget with a very powerful military budget because we have no choice award now of course take. That budget is largely meaningless. It's a political. Political document is not actually going to go anywhere but this all comes as the president is going to have his first rally here in New Hampshire tonight since he was acquitted. Of course this is the first state that actually gave the President of Big Victory Twenty sixteen and we're being told by officials to expect him to make impeachment a cornerstone of his twenty twenty pitch to voters and expect him Antonin unrestrained tonight take all right Kaelin Collins with the wings live and let die playing behind her. Thank you so much. Let's chat about this so to Lou There is this push this spin by trump people that oh no. He didn't fire anybody. They were on their way out anyway but right after president trump fired sunland and had been reassigned from the National Security Council son. Donald trump junior tweeted this. Allow me a moment to thank and this may be a bit of a surprise. Adam Schiff were it not for his crack track investigative skills president trump might have had a tough time on our thing who all needed to be fired. Thanks Adam so I mean it's pretty clear what this was all about. Yeah yeah this is sort of a trump to step where he tweets something that maybe a little bit ambiguous that most people know what he's talking about and then his administration officials come out and say no he's not actually he doesn't actually mean that he means means something different and then eventually either the president or someone close to them spills the beans and says actually yeah. This is what I meant and I think it's pretty clear to anyone who's watching is that the president was waiting for his acquittal. Quito to get rid of and to target people he thought were disloyal. Even targeting the brother of a witness who no one in the White House and said why he was march out of the White House. The brother of Alexander intervenign someone who is not testifying was not part of this Ukraine scandal in any major way He was marched out of the White House. Unceremonious leave though. He's a veteran as well. So this is clear that the president is on a revenge tour and as Caitlyn said. There's a sense that more people could get caught up in this as

How Does the Wayback Machine Work?

"If a tree falls in a forest does it really make a sound and if a website light changes overnight did its previous homepage ever really exist in the first place because so much of our world is increasingly digital and ephemeral. It's not just a philosophical question. It's also simple matter of history. That's why the way back machine which features snapshots of websites as they age. Change is such a fascinating glimpse into the dusty corners of the web. The way back machine is a massive digital archive meant to preserve webpages that would otherwise be permanently. Lost Time without this horde quarter of data every time a page was updated or deleted it would simply vanish as if it had never been there mark Graham. The director of the way back machine noted in Two Thousand Sixteen entrepreneur article that the average life expectancy of a web page is about one hundred days. There are a multitude of reasons why these web pages disappear site creators move onto other projects web hosting companies. Go bankrupt or maybe the pages moved or replaced with new data and content. One place you may have seen the way back. Machines work ask more than eleven million web pages referenced in we kapiti articles have gone bad over the years. In other words they never turn a four zero four or page not found error because they've been archived in the way back machine technicians. There were able to edit those wikipedia pages so the references now point to archived versions of those defunct. Url's the way back. Machine is the brain child of brewster. Kahle and Bruce Gilliat who also founded the Internet archive which is Digital Library of websites books audio and video recordings hoardings and software. Both projects are San Francisco based nonprofits a Kaelin Gilliat also created Alexa Internet which analyzes web traffic patterns and was sold to Amazon Project Director. Graham said by email Vais Kaelin Gilliat had started to archive web pages in one thousand nine hundred six and in two two thousand one launched the way back machine to support discovery and playback of those archived web resources and yes. The name was inspired by the Nineteen Sixties Cartoon Series The Rock Doc in Bull Winkle show in the cartoon the way back. WABC machine was a plot device. used to transport the characters Mister peabody and Sherman back in time to visit important events in human history in a world where there are more than one point seven billion websites with the numbers climbing dramatically by the day. How can anyone possibly hope to catalog? So many web pages the way back machine uses what's called crawlers a type of software that automatically moves through the web taking snapshots shots of billions of sites as it goes. Some of the process is automated. But many of the requests are generated manually by a network of Librarians who prioritize certain types types of sites that they think are important to preserve passivity and for future generations. The crawlers don't capture every iteration of sites the frequency Linzie of snapshots differs by these sites. Importance very significant sites might be recorded every few hours others might be logged weeks or months apart most aren't logged it all so don't worry that embarrassing fan website. You made it high. School is probably long gone by now. The way back machine aims to capture snapshots of important content tent. Say the breaking news. Headlines created by major media companies. Furthermore it doesn't necessarily recreate the entire site and it doesn't preserve the data in a away the eat experience it with your browser. It may only capture a few images of a few pages and not preserved content that's linked to other sites outside of the domain but on a more practical level you've probably had the experience of clicking on a link on our web page and getting a four page not found notation. Now you're wondering wondering what was on the page originally. That's where the way back machine can help to use the way back machine go to archive dot org slash web. Type the euro at the site. You want to investigate in the browser history search bar in the results you'll see a chronological bar graph. That shows how many times the site was crawled and saved in a given year. You're click the year and blow. You'll see a twelve month. Calendar with various dates highlighted blue highlights mean. The site was saved properly. Red Means it was not click one of the highlight of dates and the site. Stop shots will appear click on one of those snapshots end just like that. You've traveled back in time to that older version of the site. If you want to make sure that a particular site is recorded to archive you can do so manually. Use The save page now option to save specific page. What's but realized that doing so? Only save that one page entire website and it doesn't guarantee that the site will be crawled in the future and if content owners want their material excluded from the way back machine and they can submit a request by sending an email to info at archive dot org.

this is your opinion on that being I think I'd probably work on something else to argue about the technical answer from a biblical perspective is a tenth of your income from many evangelicals perspective is a tight with the word title in the Hebrew literally means to him so a tenth of your net profits of your business your taxable income it was what I use I mean you can argue about if you argue about it but that's what I use and it's and it's supposed to go to your local church this ministry is a parachurch organization on another wonderful thing that's happening out there obviously that you want to support and that would be separate from a tide technically speaking Todd goes to your local church that husband when's the our technical argument but I think I'd find something else to argue about really not a huge argument we just figure out whether or not it would be considered tiger operating I mean it again you can that there's a lot of people have a lot of opinions about the time of the end about giving and so forth but the baseline evangelical belief with a mainline church is that a tenth of your income going your local church is the top and then anything else would be considered offering and and honestly biblically speaking it's hard to find that like it's not in there where there is an offering above the ties that is not from surplus and does oculus surplus not right now yeah okay so I don't think god's gonna be mad at you might affect I'm pretty sure he's not either way because you're you know you're being generous you're giving your helping out I don't get real legalistic about this stuff even though I believe in tithing and I believe in the giving and I believe is part of your spiritual walk but you know I I know people for instance that set and recalculate their mutual funds every year and so will my mutual fund went up by a thousand dollars so I'm going to tie the hundred dollars I don't do that I tied on investments when I catch them out every time a piece of real estate goes up in value I don't tie them that increase in value but there are people that get real detailed and its C. in real worried about it I just got more of a love affair with god than that and he's my heavenly father and he's not looking for a chance to phone me he he loves me and and one of the things is he says son if you're going to be a wise boy you deal of and it's really not much more complicated than that and so on I'm on a kind of put a lot of not kind I put a lot of grace for myself and other people over this subject but if you wanted to get real **** in real technical the tie that is a tenth of your income to your local church but again this is our heavenly father who's crazy about you and he's not looking for a chance to not bless you just like you're not looking for a chance to not bless your kids if we being evil know how to give our kids good gifts how much more so our father answer straight out of scriptures there you go Hey thanks for calling him appreciate the discussion I'm glad you are talking about it that's a good thing so then you can decide how you want to I'd recommend you give the money to the ministry and you find it in your budget and you know you move on but you do whatever you want to open phones at triple eight eight two five five two two five Kinney's in Philadelphia hi Kenny how are you Hey Dave I'm doing good I'm I'm kind of nervous and still to talk to you today no troubles never lost a patient how can we help so my wife and I were living in outside of the arm right now cool and to be honest we're not super in love with the work given that we have a one year old and I work pretty much every hour he's awake the claims expanded so we're contemplating a move back to hold which is Minnesota and we were we want to make the move but financially it could be a little bit difficult into hell forget them inside right now we're not paying any rent we're not paying any expenses for a living and obviously we moved back we would have expenses dental I wanted on I do have a job lined up it's making a B. crease of my wife would be able to work if we made the switch right now she had been able to work more than a few hours a week and work when he does it overnight so what do you what do you make now right now I've been working a job that like eight months unknown annual but it's around eleven Bucks an hour I work about sixty sixty to seventy hours a week okay and so you would be making what if you move anywhere from between like forty around forty two uhhuh my wife would also go to work which would help but we just kind of one of the best why the decision to do that John I'm less sorry my calculations wrong you're not taking a pay cut well if you could if you can't if you considered work land yeah we got to pay rent which we don't pay anything right now number your actual pay goes up true that that if that is true which and I think there is more outside a kind of a dead end where I'm not I'm just kind of a farm hand with income what you don't like the work you don't like the hours you don't like to pay you want to move and make more money and be near your family it's kind of a no brainer do it sure sure I mean load up the truck you had the Beverly okay then okay yeah well I mean that makes us feel more and more at peace about it even now the rent was kind of like that steps are coming to a rant yeah it does but what you got sucks more is what you're telling me that that signature that's true yeah you have more money or near family it's work you want to do your wife can work I mean your household incomes going to go up substantially our overall even at of round with her working as well so yeah you're moving it's just a matter how you scratch together in public office cheap as you can may have some family drive over to Philly and help you load up.

Impeachment hearing testimony further connects President to Ukraine pressure

"The member of my staff could hear president trump on the phone asking ambassador song and about the investigations the top US diplomat in Ukraine bill Taylor heard they're providing new information during the public face of the impeachment inquiry yesterday Taylor and senior state department official George can't were questioned by house committee members with a recap of what happened a look at what's ahead I'm joined by a bee season as delicate terror on Capitol Hill and as thanks for being with us today and yesterday a lot of explosive testimony in a lot of a lot of a tense moments Tom good morning yes we don't expect any new facts really to come out of that so that their new revelation about this new phone call came as a bit of a surprise we thought we had all the fact that these witnesses had already testified behind closed doors and under deposition transcripts were believed that we thought that the testimony be these public a hearing to be more about shaping public opinion which they were but we did get this big new revelation about that phone call the new phone call we found out about between president trump and he went out there bored in Farmington during which a bill Taylor the top US diplomat you Craig said one of his staffers over heard from talking about investigation so that's a big deal because it is the second time that we know of that in which trump mention these investigation and it's relevant because that directly implicates the president one of the arguments we had heard recently from Republicans is that you know maybe they're worse Tom at the state department wore some kind of rogue actors like the president's personal lawyer Rudy Giuliani that we're trying to pressure you crane to investigate the president's political political opponents but that these were people that were acting at their own accord and that there was no evidence that president trump was directly implicated here they there the revelation of this new phone call paints a very different picture and shows that president president trump was actually involved here he says he doesn't recall the phone call and of course those on the GOP side say is secondhand information it's hearsay and so they're definitely try to put this to rest exactly the president trump without the got the phone call yesterday he said he does not recall at that phone call and and you're exactly right that has been the argument that we're hearing from Republicans that we've been hearing for a look for a a little bit now but that they are certainly making hi going forward is that this is all hearsay and that a lot of the evidence that is coming to light as part of the hearings and whether it closed door deposition their public hearings now is it secondhand information that is here say you know when in this case an indicator that phone call they're saying well this is bill Taylor talking about doctor of his who overheard this conversation the Taylor himself did not hear the phone call Kaelin himself who had no idea what the president was really thinking or doing for that the main argument argument that we're hearing from Republicans Democrats are countering that anything you know you can make that argument but nobody's really disputing the fact here and they're all the thing if you're really concerned about here say then you should let witnesses with first hand knowledge of these events come in and testify people like Mike Pompeii Mick Mulvaney Rudy Giuliani so far the White House has blocked those witnesses from testifying White House would say that it's because they don't want to legitimize the inquiry they are blocked from just to find out who is testifying tomorrow we have an economy the former ambassador to Ukraine she will be appearing publicly she's also already cooked by behind closed doors she will likely shed more light on the role that Rudy Giuliani played here and that kind of so called shadow foreign policy that Rudy Giuliani with conducting in in Ukraine she was actually removed from her post before everything happened with that phone call between president trump and the president of Ukraine and before the the assistance to Ukraine with that helps you won't be able to shed much light on that but she will talk a little bit more about the role that you usually on a plate here all right thanks so much and as for a break that down force all do a great job we appreciate joining us again that's an as delicate her on Capitol Hill in

"Yesterday with fourteen fifteen days in a row that she'd one so one hundred bucks is the prize. She's never lost two in a row. We'll see what happens today at seven forty five on Fred Naji. It gets. That's actually really interesting because Kaelin boyfriend is texting her because he disagrees. With your pick of who's gonna die. I. Tex- very very upset. Yeah. And and so you were saying that you started watching game of thrones. Because he liked the show. And so initially you're trying to like bond with him. And then of course, now you liked the show then Angie was saying why used to go to boxing matches with my husband. And it took me years to finally to the fact that I'm not into it. I'm actually I don't want to go. Is there anything? Because of your wife or that she does because of you that you questioned whether she's really into. She watches a lot of like HDTV. I don't like all the shows on HDTV, which would what is your favorite? And what if you least favorite 'cause I feel like I'd hang on happy. I do like the millionaires dream homes the lottery people one I like that show. I'm sorry. But the hosts kind of drives me crazy. The show because I expecting them to have the dollar homes and they're like two hundred expanded points, like house hunters house, hunters international. I like it no hair shows for Jess. I love how. You know, do you know what you can buy in Bogota, right and bogus. Any idea the kind of house condo? You can get all my God. Thousand dollars. Three hundred and fifty grand which is a lot of money. But still the guy got a penthouse four bedrooms and a pool on the roof of accountability. Can you imagine? I was like what am I doing here? Bugah I've seriously ta then well. My parents. That's awesome. Except you live in Bogota, which is a great place. I fly understand especially if you're in a drug cartel. Hair shows with your wife semantic suffer you. I think. The magic she doesn't like those whom she. Yeah. But she was not looking forward to going to the last one. Hey. By the way. Yeah. The tickets I told her head of time. I'm like, I know you're going to hate me. But she's like I'll go to get it for like I watched a lot of like it's baseball season. I'll watch Costa warts, and she'll sit there and watch it with you not anymore. She gave baseball. Eight five five five nine one one three five. What do you pretend to be into? Or maybe you're now you're into it because you're immersed in it now. But what do you what do you pretend to be into for someone else in your life? Or do you find did you do for time? You did in your leg. Violent. I'm owning it. Now, I hate this. Since I got the ring. All right. Thinking the city. Hi, mallory. How you doing? I am. I'm sorry. Hey, hey. How you doing? What's going on? Never knew anything about Bota crowd. I started dating my boyfriend. And now, I kinda catch my job. Look into the dined TV. I ended up buying a ticket to go to the. Motocross race it Michigan July. Into it. Who's your favorite writer? I don't even app. So what is sort of exciting. Now you. Like, I kind of into it. Because you never really think about all the tricks that people do in how that really advanced. And so now, I kind of catch myself getting really excited they're about to go on to jump band really into it too. So I didn't know was still really popular Pink's husband still a pro at that. Carry are tired of the he still does is it looks really dangerous. Very dangerous, boyfriends broken bones boggy union. Now, I'm kinda like. Teeny. And that that's not my knowledge of motocross is excite bike on intendo..

"Reality TV rarely confronts the issue of sexual assault which made last night's episode of the bachelor all the more unusual. This is a conversation that I have to have. Relationships because. It's a part of who I am as part of my story. It's not an easy thing. For me to talk about. That's contestant. Kaelin Miller keys opening up to her bachelor about a sexual assault. She experienced in college. She goes on to tell him how difficult it was to seek treatment and Justice emigre has been following this. She's a senior women's reporter for Huffington Post. Welcome. Thanks for having me for people who don't often watch the bachelor. How unusual is this? I believe this is the first time that we've seen a contestant tell her story or his story of sexual assault on the show and the show has been on since two thousand two so it's a pretty big deal. And it was a long detailed story that seems like it could easily have been abridged in it wasn't. Yeah. It was presented in a way that really gave the audience a chance to sit and listen to Kaelin tell her story, and she went into deep and pretty eloquent detail about the assaults and the. Aftermath of that assault. What went through your head as a critic as a woman who has written about women's issues as you were watching this on a show, like the bachelor, I wasn't completely surprised that this conversation was airing Kaelin was a former miss North Carolina. And this was actually a very large part of her platform. So this was not the first time that she spoke about this really harrowing story publicly, she's been an advocate for survivors. But my feelings on it were sort of a mixed bag. There's something about the structure of this show that sets up trauma to be used as currency something that proves you have suffered enough to be worthy of finding love and inevitably even one conversations and topics are handled really well and really delicate Leah's I'd argue they were here, it still feels a little inherently exploitative. At the same time. This is a show that has a massive audience of millions. It's frustrating to me as of urine as a critic to watch the show pretend they exist in a world where these kind of experiences don't occur even though statistically one in six American women will experience a rape or attempted rape in her lifetime. So in all likelihood Kaelin is far from the only contestant on this show who has experienced sexual assaults. And when you have so many people watching a specially women, especially young women. It can be really valuable to affirm them and show that these experiences are not only common, but also not something to be ashamed of not something that makes you less deserving of love. Do you think this episode signals some kind of a larger change in the culture of reality television, or the American culture, generally, or is this just a quote, unquote, very special episodes of the bachelor all reality television, reflects the moment that it is. Has produced in in some capacity, and in the last two years, the public conversation about sexual assault has become much more open and mainstream. So I'm not surprised that a show like the bachelor which does respond to its time albeit within the constraints of its primary structure would be impacted by that. I can also see them seeing this as a way to address an issue that they have shied away from in the past. There was an alleged sexual misconduct scandal that occurred on their summer show bachelor in paradise and couple of years ago that was not handled very well by the show they received a lot of criticism. So I could see them thinking that this might be the best way for them to explore something as difficult to talk about as sexual assaults..
