"You Know I. Don't know how to get people out of their camps like I talked to. My mom and it's just like Oh my God. I got your. You know and and I mean people just have the ideas they have over this stuff. That's why I say like I. Think a lot of you know. The Molotov cocktail throwers and stuff I mean are doing so to hijack a moment in steal it from what the message is supposed to be about right, and it's just I. Don't know I just think at some point white black, and you know like whatever I mean Mexican. You know like who's the one Mexican the Chubby Mexican comedian you know and stuff and What's his name fluffy? Yeah Just say like all these people that have these like kind of racial jokesters and stuff. Yeah, they're funny I. Get it Eddie. Murphy SNL back. What is it the eighties when he was when he put on the White? Make you know and stuff? It's funny, but I think it gets some point. We have to stop doing that because it just entrenches people in their in their camps, right, you know and that's the and. And that's the point of what I'm getting at with the show. The black AF show is that way people might watch it and say Lake F. that guy and black people watch it and say right on way. People suck and like you're not doing. You're not helping to solve a problem rather than fanning the flames it's it's divisive. You know, and that's the point I'm getting at. You know I mean but whatever? Yeah it's interesting. You said the you know when we if we compare what's, is they? Archie bunker is that that wasn't the name of the show. Archie Bunker Archie bunker. No all in the family. So if you compare all in the family to black AF FETA, it's so different because when all of the family was on everybody in America was watching it like you didn't have a choice. It was like that and other things you had three things. No, you had three networks. You had the local affiliate new and. Maybe at five. Things going on at one time exactly, but it was popular, so it was it was taking up a lot of the the bandwidth of people, and it was in the Zeitgeist a show lake black AF somebody turns it on like. Are you going to who what trump supporter would even want to watch that show well? That's a good point. I think Norman. Lear was ahead of his time. Oh, I couldn't agree more with that. Yeah, for sure. And like he was so so brilliant in what he was trying to do that. He missed his crowd, but I think now I think the the audiences are a little more savvy and other than using soundbites and trying to utilize clips of something to a fan, the flames of the injustice in reverse injustice. I think it's such a human when you get. If you get through the whole, get through the whole thing. You don't have to obviously and when when I got through the whole thing, and this is of Pre George, Floyd so I definitely had a different take on it, but when I got through it, it was so touching that they had familial issues. that. We're so fresh in my mind with the fourteen year old. And a wife it were in quarantine. You know and we're all like in close quarters so even though they're rich. It's nice to see that they had. Issues. You know so that that's what drew me to it and I guess I kind of I laughed off the other stuff because you know because of slavery. All right, so we're like way deep into this hour. Sudden, so let's talk about Joe Koi. I think the joke coy in is elements it has it has a tangential to what we're talking about. Exactly. Yeah, it's loosely until this because I mean you know he's Filipino. It is a racial sort of a thing. I guess maybe not in the sense of it's a cultural. Piece cultural there you go. That's a better way to put. Away has another. NETFLIX SPECIAL JOE as he wasn't your. He could be you know he's got the same Hairdo, but no beard. Right exactly. Yeah, he shaves. All off. So in his elements, would you say his elements Arab More Lake family food. Entertainment like all of the culture of like, because it's more plural, would you say that's all of the culture of the Philippines or what? Where do you think he means? Or what do you think it means by in his elements? Yeah, I. Don't know I think I think it is, it is that you know I. It's interesting because we saw Joe Coy at a Filipino festival like so many years ago. I forget braces like four years old. And we went to the Hollywood bowl and had like Filipino heritage, month. Concert and Joey did a set there and it was amazing he he's great, but he does the thing that we were just talking about where you know, it's his own culture, so he can appropriate it I mean so he he'd makes. Poe pokes fun at Filipinos because he is a Filipino and I think it is especially Filipino to self deprecate you know so they they make fun of themselves a lot or we make fun of ourselves. The half of we make fun of ourselves a lot half of weeks. Weeks so when he does that. You kind of you're kind of on edge a little bit. No, typically because you don't know if he's like profiteering of making fun of his own people in his own race. You know it's it's kind of a strange strange laugh that you kind of have to let go of and to me this. This is the this is the payoff you know. It's like He got popular in enough clout to get a suite of netflix specials and for one of his specials to. To kind of dedicated back to his country, his people bring to Manila and then make it into a what looks like a variety show is kind of interesting. It's an interesting way to give people a platform that typically wouldn't necessarily have a global or western platform, and then you know share that with share that wealth with his his brethren. What I like about it though is. The trailer looks like the show. It looks like a series. I I didn't look. Is it a series Oh I didn't even look. Look this a special. Oh, it might just be a special, but what I like about it though is. He gets into the food. He gets into the neighborhoods. He gets into all those things that make him Filipino which I enjoy of it is it's it's almost like a I don't know. I'm going to visit the Philippines. Let me watch the show. He's going to give me a taste of the Philippines before. I get there, so I know what to expect when I when I arrive and there's A. I wouldn't say a large Filipino population in Lompoc, but there's a large enough Filipino where there's always the food truck when you go to the different events. Yeah, and there's some restaurants, and there's some friends that we have in town. teacher I worked with and so on and you know, and and she always brings a Lucchini and everything. We, you know we go to the birthday parties and she has like the Filipino food all laid out and stuff I mean it's like. Oh, it's phenomenon I mean she's like a great cook you now and. With that I feel a little bit connected and then obviously..

Cast get some tickets. Excuse me it's going to be one of those days solo show. Yeah going to be one of those days. What's new all sorts of things? I was supposed to be going to Geneva next week. I had to put actually pull out a couple of weeks ago for a little while ago for for for different reasons but as I sit here. Everybody's wondering what's going to happen because these corona I mean for those who don't know Geneva historically was always one of the the biggest auto shows of the year it was kind of premier one in Europe Attended by all the kind of literati globally as an in neutral Switzerland. Yeah I need supposed to happen. The press days next Tuesday and we're all waiting for messages to listings happening on now. I mean it's A. It's a huge deal about the millions literally tens of millions of hundreds of millions that are spent on this and is it. Is it kind of late in the game to cancel it? Yeah I mean I. I was telling you it's going to happen. It's just going to be kind of flop. I I mean we had. We had Alfred Mayo. His happens from time to time manufacturers. Come in and show ladies. 'cause we have a chat meet we we talk about life and what role doing and I am a global head of. Pr was saying. You know we've been told not to travel. So it's it's a big deal. Yeah I wonder how they do that. Do they try to find local representation? The have a team there that they have like a local. Pr Team A little bit smaller team yet. But I guess I don't know I mean he's going to be an interesting show. How much money and how much he's committed. But also if if people on traveling and I think the other concern is people are worried that you're GONNA get quarantined. So you end up in Geneva. I'm going to keep talking. You end up in Geneva and if you imagine all the the world the company execs from all over the world traveling into Geneva and then just ending up being Maroon there. I read that that later this year. We have twenty twenty Olympics in Tokyo. They're saying hey we. We need a contingency plan. We may cancel the Olympics and they said but they need you know. They need minimum three months. They can probably do two months lead way to to cancel it but they can't do four days like like what you're talking about. They can't do five days. Well also big Formula Warm Fun. I used to working for him in the world in days. Gone by and there's a little conversation about which pre happen which wouldn't yeah it's It's interesting times. We're also seeing in terms of vehicle production as well because a lot of parts is not just 'cause made in China but he's also parts supply parts moving around the world so this there's a big impact going on and what's going to be the effect of cancelling Geneva. Is it really gonNA manner not matter? Everyone's going to release their cars. And they're gonNA send out the press kits and and and try to find some other place two like they're still going to announce the cars digital digitally. I mean I I was invited to a bunch of events down the I was going to sit down with the Mercedes. Co The global CEO on the boss of AM G. And we're GONNA have half an hour with with those guys and that's always great for me because she always learned so much a fascinating fascinating individuals as well to be running something that big. You know things like that obviously won't happen but I know a of things that Mercedes showing off and yet I'll do it digital release. You'll you'll be they'll send the images alison press releases and away you go. I think the tough thing I Geneva and also shows generally. New York's beginning of April. Is these things you know. There's a lot of pressure on these shows. Little people pulling out anyway if it doesn't happen than we'll ever happen again and Gordon is. What happens to the you know the credits into the billions? Almost what's actually spent in in in some things well? In all of these companies so many companies are taking a financial hit already. Everybody asks to prepare for factories being shut down obviously in the automotive space but products all around the world that so much is is manufactured in China and now that that Krona viruses is spreading. Everything in automotive is expensive and global. Yeah so anything. That's hit Soglo on a global level like this is going to be a big deal. Yeah I roll up in the accurate annex. I WANNA say new but it. It got sort of a revision this past year a little bit different ero and I think they did. Some adjustments on the suspension and stuff. Have you driven the sex yet? So this is I drove the original Essex. The you know the sort of iconic mateen nine. I think it was many years ago but the latest wanted always passing by always being doing doing something else when everyone was around so I finally got into it the last couple of days. It's a it's a fascinating thing I kind of. I really wouldn't like it. I really want to love it because I like the idea of buying an accuracy because I think it feels. Yeah it's almost like I'm coming out and skiing I don't need. I don't need a fraud. Whatever I'm going to buy an ACURA sex because I know what I like. I don't need to everything else so I rely. I like similar technology but I kind of feel it's almost too clever by half in that Scott the three and a half six two but then on top of that these three electric motors. And there's a lot of really clever tech going on but what actually delivers is is questionable and increasing the. I'm unless no less of a fan of potato well. This isn't the plug in or hybrids. Generally I think these days you you either go all in on the electric light the ticon all stick with a stick with a gas engine light the new cove at something and its own to me. It feels like that choice now and carrying around all this complexity and all this weight and everything else for hybrid just just almost feels like old tech even though it's cutting edge on one level

"I've been on the losing end of a reality this show that was cut in a way that wasn't perfectly accurate so everything's with a grain of salt like the guy sixty three who is kylie ali who i somehow remember sixty four but i'll take your word for it. I remember he cutting out. Incognita can solve if you're watching it. If he's watching it he can go. That's not how that went down like. I wasn't late for that meeting or i wasn't whatever they will massage things but if it was at all accurate accurate i'm very interested in the people who get to this point in life. You're now at a professional camp. Professional football training camp and it's kind of come see comes on terms of your your attitude like like literally. We can't take that lazy captain lethargy asia sort of attitude out even when you're like it's kind of what i think. The instinct is is that people feel like how do you attract people. If you're courting a woman woman or whatever you gotta play it. Cool can't want it too much like that doesn't apply here man. It's all about your football team. You're kinda like cavalier like we'll see kind of kind of thing. I don't have a place here. I don't think people fully understand that. Whether you're jon gruden or jimmy kimmel everything is kind of a message they take things in message forms. You know what i mean like. When you me says underling sewing one so go get you know hey tell so and so i need blah blah blah and then it comes back and it's like oh so and so went home and you're like what what time it's three thirty it's friday. They left and you don't realize that that never leaves. Jimmy's hat that's exactly right that stuck in his cross and he looks at that person is a non performer and jimmy has told me stories that are the most petty about just so and so he he wanted so and so two so something handle something of the person's that's nice job or whatever like what it all but but but the other side is also true yeah and you did you did too. I remember remember when you did that. Eleven years ago and then prime mean literally have had conversations with kimball about that. You did that thing. I always remembered that like what how well that showed. Who who you were. What i'm saying is if a woman sees a dude kick his dog. That's not like well. This guy enjoys kicking kicking his dog but that's in a bubble and he might make fine father and mate and i'm sure he's a great dinner gas. It's like no no. She saw one thing so one thing and it's like. I can't be with that guy. I saw it because it's like when i'm driving behind someone and they start throwing litter like fast food out. Okay okay i can't i can't could never be with that person. Maybe they just like littering in whether it's crooner kimmel they see this one act and and they go you're out then that's that's all i need to know about. You and it's true you kick a dog. That's all the chick needs to know to never blow you. You and you throw litter out the window. That's all. I need to thank you captain lethargic. That's right yeah time for my mom. She's she's getting older so to give our second fitting. I hope this all leads does getting an endorsement from from libya meals. She has an outfit. It's just never been motivated enough to put it on so she just comes out in her house coat fun if we if libby decided that they wanted to do some endorsements on the shell and then you ask her to do it but then she was too lazy to read them. Do you remember the liberties like when they made libya's made like canned fruit cocktail pineapples. Do you remember their theme song now. You're ready all right. I'm gonna let gary find it is to make my sister eats them. When mo- modem shake would leave the kitchen and then i would make my a little sister eat them because i didn't like fruit cocktails if you like liberties levi's levies on if it says libya's liberties levies on the label label label you will like it like it like it on your table table table dave..

What thing we could do that Reggio founded roughly five years ago almost six come up on the now Adam Curle show eleven ninety one featuring Joe Koy Alison Rosen and Brian Bishop. This is from Tober twenty thirteen. This is coming out of a news story about Dick Cheney and his heart collapsed. Stuff out and jumps right into a new topic at an switch gears and brings up the show whale wars. And Joe Koi jumps into a role. And there's a great back and forth. Thanks so much. I'm just dentist. I forgot about this. Enjoy thousand thirteen Joe coy on the Anna crochet. And then I moved onto watching humpback whale. And then the crazy, captain ramming the Japanese whalers. I can't maybe you can help me with this. What's up with the Japanese way ships? It's like come on. You guys have really Vance culture. What's up with the whales stunned the whales? Yes. Do shoes. She's not. No, you can't. It's two thousand you have a whale sushi. No, so good. There are so many other whales. Says shimmy back Bracco humpback while I'm paprika wear. Yes. Stop shooting Wales. Also, good. You don't need whales. Have a missile me ale. Shindo also got so exotic Lissette glued full, you're gonna make Hayden Canadair cry. No, you don't need that. And you know, our star Hayden panel tear, she's a big celebrity Olea. She loves Wales. She should try eat the blow load all over. Firm. Yeah. It's great the guys who try the Rainbow Warrior, whatever it is good name for gay bar by what is they just ram in the Japanese fire water cannons at them, and it's great hijinks on the on the open sea. But again, it's it's an unlikely group that Japanese with the whales like we're kind of used to it now. But if you just went down, your sort of culture in two thousand and thirteen who thinks it's a good idea to harpoon whales you'd get a lot of other cultures. I think before you got to the ones who make Lexus cars and import several million of them to this country every year, right? I wonder if the whales would be able to sit out Wales also got to be you have the largest animals on the planet being killed by the smallest creatures on the planet. It's gotta be extra piss him off that much more just got killed by guys one hundred nine pounds. So cking what by the? Way your your several years seventy tonnes Jesus Christ. You're getting you getting harpooned by a rat. Or a might it is it is you'd want a more robust. Yes. You would feel like wail and Bo slice. Shot me with a harpoon or Brock Lessner. Yeah. We certainly want it with women. We want variety. That's what people want like I'm going to go from Foxwoods Indian casino in Connecticut to the Wilbur theatre in Boston. And there could be no two different sort of venues in a sense one is a giant casino, you know, and then the other one hundred fifty year old theater. That's all art, deco doubt. And everything like that. And I just. I like them both for different reasons. I I'm telling you my biggest problem with the casino is when I look up I go after the casino, you go out front, and then you just sign and you look at the marquee, and you see what the next act I every time the same or actually look up, and I go Pablo cres is coming here. What happened to them? Here come off the wagon trust a hard time Baresi. Yeah. And then I realized wait a minute. My name was up four minutes. And they this China lockin yada, like a lot of dudes. Remarried to Asian women oriented. Yeah, oriented family. Yes, that's right. Family, oriental. And. Don't lucky Joe. Felt imply monkey. You know, some people listened with happen here to make sure Brian credit for the joke. Jokes, a lot people know sometimes I thought, and there's a again, Fairmount Asians, comedian, Chris max patta, speaking of Asian thought. Well, my kids most recently, my daughter didn't make the volleyball team, and my son didn't make the flag football team. Townsville Asians? Yeah, in a town, full of Asians, all defensive backs. So I'll save these quarterbacks. They, they did not make the team and max patta thought. It'd be funny if we found out that the Chang's host actually was the coach of my daughter's volleyball team and possibly my son's football, not let him and her onto the squad. That might be something fun to screw around. But I. Sent out. I had an interesting conversation football season is is upon and I got to go out on norm Patas boat on yesterday and want to Catalina brought. My daughter brought her friend, blah, blah, blah fund and the sun and all that good stuff making weekly trips out there. I tell ya it's good, Catalina 's awesome. And if you can get there and thirty minutes in boat. Our great always a collective group of guests. One guy x NFL our played for the Browns offense lineman as now working doing eight being an agent for football players and interesting conversation with him about he handles interior linemen and I said, Jim glamour position and most of the industry mostly the center. Okay. And I came a long winded soliloquy about the snap the shotgun snap about practicing twenty five of those after practice every day. So so quarterbacks that were six, six didn't have to get the ball off their feet when the ball when it came in low and not fluttering it back so that the ends could get half step closer to the quarterback while the ball was floating in the air, and we sort of got into it for while. And then I said, you played for the Browns. Remember Orlando's Zeus who played for the Browns. Now we name or Orlando Brown for the Browns, but he's is. His nickname was Zeus. And this guy was made famous. This is a guy who was hit in the eye by the refs Hanky. Oh, yeah. Walked over to the raff and like sort of menaced him and pushed him down, cking huge man. He said, oh, yeah, played a year with Orlando, Brown. I said, what? If ourself, it's nice getting answers to stories like one of the things that always vexed me was they had ice shields. Plexiglass shields. Yeah. According to the story is they'd outlaw damn. And so he wanted to wear one, but he wasn't able to wear one and that would have prevented him from getting in the I. I was like, why wouldn't you let guys on the interior line? Where are you shield? Why was a ruling? Who would what kind of maniac could make a ruling? Right? And so we're only benefit whenever there's a lot of like, why? Why? Why like how did this? How did this come to be its sort of how it's like every every catastrophic airline accident comes to be a little something. Nothing then. Leads to something that leads to lane going down in three hundred souls loss, I guess..

When you're on there. I'm gonna come see you face Costa Rica. I am hanging out and actually coming back at the end of the month, been down here for about four months, learn to surf hanging out, working on my tan and come come back to the states here at the end of March. So just just kind of living down here taking a little. Jealous and I'm angry simultaneously. Pretty good. You know. Comes in jealous part comes in. Nine ever get to. Good man, but it's began. I got a question for you guys. Related to cannabis. And I've been off for about a year have kind of these little studies on my self. I don't really smoke a lot, but usually like once a week, I'll take a puff, you know, just kind of get a little bit of a little bit of a bug. And I notice that it actually seems to smooth out like I'm the, I won't say trivial, but you know, sometimes you just feel a little down or you know, I'm not depressed or any rough living. Corona commercial. Hammock all day. Swell, the come in. Shame spiral, where's my short short? Yeah. Yeah. Read assault, got the regular song screwed. Yeah, the crystal down here. Drink out of a cop out coconut nearby. I didn't have or coconuts I had to use a tumbler was horrible. Those drinks. Stationed all I got rings or cost me almost fifteen dollars fifty. Over fifteen. I can only do that. So my my real question drew, I know they haven't really done a lot of studies on. That's because of, you know, medical marijuana, kind of gaining energy throughout the country, but you know, the placebo effect. I know it's kind of a real thing in some cases, but do you think just with like what you're hearing, kind of what you're seeing in the industry, could there be a residual carryover affect that kind of helps with with boot stabilization? I literally when I do when I walk a little bit a couple days after I just feel more even I feel like I'm, I'm not really hard on myself. You're talking about anti anxiety effect in this be put it to you this way. On one hand, I was go, no free lunches and nature. I always love that reality on rallies term Druce to favoritisms when I deliver the drew, I will work that in now that's number one. Number two. The other thing I started to think about is bull then what about the diet? Will you go? Okay. What would you put inside? You makes makes difference eat a candy bar for breakfast for a few weeks. You're probably not. You might get a little tired around noon, but if you eat well, it's different. Well, this is something you're putting into your body. Yeah, you know what I mean? It's cannabis and I understand it's pharmaceutical drugs or whatever. It's not. What I'm saying is you put things in your body protein, MCAT oil, things that give change your mind. Change your body, make you feel. Good for you, and then there's bad for you. This thing is a thing that grows that you put in your body and we all know broccoli, good thing to put in your body. Kennedy, argued that in this case, normally I'd be against it. But in this case he puts this into his body like broccoli, it helps. Okay. Okay. Go ahead. Shoot that down. Well, no, I, I'm not sure that I'm saying the studies. Don't you have to think about what you have to define exactly what it is. He thinks he's treating by the, we don't ever treat yourself. You don't ever says yourself, but it sounds like he's describing Zayed's cannabis last four days into resenting Zayed's property. So, yeah, makes sense that he's having some, he seems to be helped by. Okay. Burland. Also one could say that if one spent Sunday practicing Tai Chi in Yosemite, that probably Tuesday of that week you'd be more relaxed right than normally than if you work..

God. I'm so glad you talked about this at thousand times, but I'm on the Seahawks side. I'm so happy. Joe sewing thousand dollars spent for my Senate. I and that's not even including the tickets off. Flew out now. Hold on a second because I had this thought at Jimmy Kimmel's watching the game on Sunday. My I, I thought I had was last time I spoke to Jo Koy. He said he bought four thousand dollar tickets on stub hub to the NFC championship. Oh, that was the champion went to the. The Green Bay game was for a little over four grand. How much was the Super Bowl? Seventeen thousand seventeen thousand dollars was cost taxes and all that. Yeah, it was about seventeen thousand, not including air fare and through NFL ticket exchange or or not not. No. Airfare, no combinations. No airfare, no accommodation. So strictly just like just call the twenty thousand dollars about SP. Yeah. All right. At a certain point when. Midway through the second quarter when the Seahawks were just flat. I remember just kind of thinking, oh, boy, poor, Joe, sitting up there, nothing. And then a certain point when they came back, I thought, oh, Joe, yeah. And then the end, what are you? Okay. I. Spiracy theory of paint a picture. You paint a picture of you in Seahawks nation ever with the thirty seconds left play. Is that what you're talking about? We're all hugging and kissing each other. Right? Said I, you know, and by the way l. Michael, it was about seventy five percents hawks. Val Michaels is coming in here tomorrow. So we we can get the low down from him, but I believe when I was watching it, they said it was about eighty percent Seahawks fans. Oh, it was. And I don't know if that's just no, that's true. No, I believe that, but it's, it's that it's that it's a southwest wide away or is it this? They don't travel or I don't know what the deal is, but it's eighty. I when we were going through security, it was it was literally the the ratio is probably ten to one for every Seahawks jersey you saw. Do you think? I mean, and I was there. I'm sorry to interrupt a lot of Green Bay fans. I think a lot of Green Bay people were buying their tickets. Three minutes to that. I think they bought a lot of those tickets. So I saw a lot. Yeah. So not joking. I guess we could. We could. We surmise that that that Seahawks fans are little more affluent, maybe and proximity. But all right. So I'm not a conspiracy. All right. So there you are just want to paint the last paint it right before the big catch there. You are in the Seahawks plugging the guy, my son is next week with his mouth wide open because he can't believe what's happening the catch before. That was fucking amazing. Right. And we're going ape shit. I mean, literally Bella checks not calling time out. So as almost like he threw in the threw in the towel like, okay, we lost. "Definitely not definitely not yet and while none of those ventures worked they all went belly up quickly hiroshi knew that playing cards and the plane card market had reached the saturation so if nintendo was going to survive into the 1970s date need to branch out well and and also by this point they were already dabbling in at least board games right that's right but toy companies like tomi and band died like even remember those i mean only vaguely yeah mutiso it's worth googling tomi and bandai games from the 1970s because the titles and photos are amazing like they've got one called the hamburger game and run yourself ragged and nazi tennis like honestly are so intricate and plastic that they really look fun but nintendo needed in in and this they need some sort of new product to catch people's attention and help establish a as like a place for fun not just like card and board games of those names of those like what even is like nazi to remind yourself ragged well this is the part of the nintendo story that i really love because you know first using okay art here's where video games come in and the company we know starts to take shape but no you know once instead the company's first foray into the untapped toy market it's this wacky extending arm think of the ultra hand and there's nothing electron acc about it basically it's the invention of gun pay your koy's this low level nintendo factory workers got a little bit of a background in engineering and it's kind of an innovation on ben franklin long arm grabber in which he invented in his old age that would help him get books high off of of shelves yes a ben franklin version was obviously just this long poll with the tiny grabby thing at the end of it right yeah that's it but but gun pay designed a prototype grabber claw that that frankly you'd almost picture kind of like an inspector gadgets hands or something i could expanded out across the room with sort of a metal crisscrossed pattern but it collapses to a tiny shape and win herro she saw it he fell in love with the.
