What The Heck is Being Death Positive?

"So what exactly is death positivity? You know, death positivity is not too different from dead body positivity or, you know, even sex positivity right. Where if you understand that there's all kinds of different approaches that, you know, it's, it's kind of accepting. Hey, death is a natural part of our Lives, which we all know instinctively, we know that logically. But when I when you start thinking about that, there's also that fear that comes along with it for many of us. And and so it's just starting to understand, okay, well if we look at death and it's just natural part of life, what it really does is it. Is us up to live our lives more fully while we're here. Sounds good. Yeah. After after birth last year we've all lived through a little more than a year. I think we need as much fullness as we can achieve and and I need a little more body positivity in my life, too. I'm not going to last name. I went on a huge weight loss. Journey, more years ago than I can remember. Now, I think it's been a decade now, holy Toledo, she's time flies. And that's that's amazing experience. When you lose a ton of weight cuz what's in your mind, isn't what you're seeing in the mirror and then you have experiences that reinforce that the mirror is correct, if your brain is wrong, and that's, that's just really fascinating. So, I learned a long time ago, I think having been over a hundred pounds overweight, is that our bodies are really pretty fascinating thousand souls for lack of a better term, you know, especially for some of us, you know, we've created an entire life. You know, we've created beautiful things to give to the world or maybe not only beautiful. But maybe technology, that's kept us together in the last, you know, year and 1/2. It's it's that's the way I try to look at. It's like, okay. I physically I might not look like swimsuit model but that's yep. I'm only five foot two. I'm not going to be a swimsuit model, no matter how much I try to change the shape of my body. Yeah. Well and, and I think the whole idea behind body positivity is helping your brain. Understand that you are beautiful in the shape that you are and go live your life, right? And so when we translate that to death positivity, similarly it's hey yes we are all going to die someday and that's okay. And again freeing us up to really live our own lives to the fullest There's seems to be a cultural belief that death is somehow a failure, which is really, you know, it's like I don't know if that's a Reliance on a medical profession or not really sure how we got to fighting death at all costs. Even when you've got somebody, who's not able to live life fully and not be able, you know, somebody with alzheimer's or somebody, that's got end-stage cancer, whatever awfulness, sometimes happens to people and I, I always lived, well, I still live my life, but when, my mom was still around, I did everything I could to give her as much quality and fullness as possible. And I kept telling myself, I will not do anything that extends, this, this dying process of Alzheimer's, and I didn't. And I told my husband and my daughter, if, if the situation arose like, I'd always thought She got pneumonia, I would call Hospice. I said you, you too might have to stand on either side of me and hold me up while we go KO hospice or whatever. Like, do not let me back down because I knew my mom would hate the way she was living and she would, she was terrified of getting Alzheimer's and she did so it's you know, I it's a difficult balance to know off or we just giving up or we accepting that. We all none of us gets out of this life alive, which many listeners have heard me. Say it's what my maternal grandfather always

"We all saw what happened in twenty twenty with these congressional races the democrats who lost their re election bids were not progressives okay. They weren't leftists. They were the milk. Toast incredibly boring. Refused to stir the pot corporate democrats. Who thought that it would be a smart strategy. Somehow to position themselves as weaker republicans in their races. And guess what they lost they lost. Because if you're a boater in that district and you get to choose between a an actual republican and a watered-down republican. Just go for the republican. Just go for the republican right. I mean and i remember the media propaganda leading up to these congressional races. All of the fearmongering regarding. Oh looks like anc might not win. All looks like ilhan. Omar might not win. Looks like to might not win. They won by massive margins massive massive margins. So don't come to me and tell me that oh you know. It's progressive messaging. That doesn't really sit well with voters. No that's not what what actually played out during the twenty twenty election and anyone who tries to say otherwise is just a liar who refuses to accept reality but i think importantly is intentionally gas lighting people. Because in order to be honest they'd have to accept reality and reality doesn't sit well with their corporate donors. that's what this is really about totally they. They want people to go back to branch so bad. They want middle of the road. Candidates to sort of appease you know high rolling democrats comfortable democrats democrats who really don't need healthcare because they've got it all you know in the bank whatever they want to appease that base of donors and have them all go home and just sorta bury your head in the sand you know whereas like especially now man you listing off all the things that nina turner is for now. We're in a night and day moment when it comes to the health of our economy and the health literal health of our people after this pandemic and during this pandemic what kind of policies do you think are going to Support the american people going forward. Are they going to be trickle down. Economic policies are they going to be a means tested policies or is it probably a safer bet. Is there if we support the social safety net going forward and so that you know people can go see a doctor without being stuck with a hundred thousand dollar. Bill like where. What are we really talking about here. So but dams wants to all go night night hog take a little nap and let them just keep on doing their dark money wheelings and dealings and never get called out on anything. Look i mean just a few more I know running out of time. But just a few more parts of this article that i think are relevant because Look at new york times washington post typically when they cover these types of races get salty jenkins salty because they frame things in a way. That's unfair to the left. However in this case there were excerpts that i was actually very fond of including this one brown shantelle brown has the most reliable voters many of them older more affluent white Also they write that brown with an easygoing demeanor pushed back hard against the characterization of her as a washington puppet and then followed that with this excerpt. Her campaign is staffed by help from s. k. Decay a powerhouse democratic political firm stocked with old hands from the clinton and obama days. Her endorsements include moderate house. Democrats representative Gossamer many of whom are motivated by turner's favourable statements on palestinian rights Going back to what you were saying a little earlier francesco about how Nina turner standing up for palestinians has also turned off some of these corporate democrats and their donors So that's encouraged them to get involved in this race as well. I mean for once you know. They're not relying on just sort of empty identity politics because needed turner. Herself is a black woman. You know so in a sense. What you're saying is yeah. You want diversity. You just don't want diversity that's actually gonna fight cool. They just want to make sure that. That's what moderate democrats are saying. They want diversity they can handle and that any look it speaks the congressional black caucus which a lot of black progressives in congress and out have understood that they have long Being being irrelevant that they have not had the fire that they had when they initially were formed and a lot of people across the country disappointed in their black leadership and say no. We actually have black leadership. We need more of you know. We need more corey. Bushes an ion presley's those are the people that we want to empower jamal bowman etc right like we got that but you all who have like had you know. The their grasp on leadership and power need to step aside. Yes absolutely all right. Well let's take a break when we come back. Very informative is ben shapiro's and we talk about a time to time But very rarely does he have someone on who dunks on him. So that's why we're going to talk about today This is wonderful. So ben shapiro. Had a conversation with neil degrasse tyson about science because you know conservatives care so deeply about science this time. The topic was specifically about transgender rights. he refers to it as transgenderism. And i'm guessing. He was hoping that. Neil degrasse tyson would go along with whatever narrative he was trying to push and we know that shapiro has not been so kind to the transgender community. So you can imagine what kind of trying to push. But what i appreciated was how neil degrasse. Tyson responded to shapiro statement in this video. Take a look. Argument.

"Also for those of you who are lucky enough to listen to our breaks during the breaks I remember my favorite ben. And jerry's ice cream flavor brent as always reminded me of what i forgot. And it's netflixing chilled. It's so good. It's my favorite anyway. This is not a paid advertisement. Just wanna be clear about that. This is organic. it's like. I love like peanut butter incorporated. So there's like peanut butter ice cream happening. I think there's brownie in it too and then there's like salty pretzel. There's nothing better than like eating something sweet and then all of a sudden you get that crunchy salty bite. No it's the thing. Americans are good at lower. I don't believe in. American exceptionalism except for it comes to salty and sweet combos. That's it totally. yes yes I go to mexico if i'm looking for spicy and sweet. They're candies chinmoy chinoy all day. I'll put some oil on anything. I love it anyway. All right let's get to a pretty serious story. Actually involving the amazon rainforest. There is a devastating development in the fight against climate change. Oftentimes when we think of the amazon rainforest we think of it as an important part of fighting. co two in the atmosphere because it's known to absorb co two however because of the damage done to the rain forest which was accelerated under bolsonaro in brazil Now there are parts of the rain forests. That are actually emitting co two. So i want to give you these data points because it gives you a sense of just. How much damage. Human behavior is doing to our planet to our environment findings from the nearly decade-long research project published in the journal nature suggests that deforest. Ah deforestation i've a hard time saying this word. Deforestation and fire among other factors have dramatically undercut the amazon's ability to absorb heat trapping carbon emissions from the atmosphere. The results showed the greatest changes to the ecological ecological balance in areas that had suffered large scale deforestation and had been heavily burned to dispose of dead trees and to clear land. So i want to direct your attention to this map that gives you a sense of. How much damage has been done by. Essentially chopping down trees If you look at The pink areas those are the areas that indicate the most Deforestation and so. It's not a surprise that as you get closer to brazil The pink areas are a little more common Because bolsonaro certainly had no interest in protecting the amazon and he certainly was very much in favor of allowing for an accelerated rate of deforestation to take place. Can't wait for him to Lose to lula dasilva in the upcoming elections in brazil But this is just terrifying stuff. Francesca i mean. We talk about climate policy in the context of the united states. But really this is something that requires collaboration globally. And it's it's just we have to keep fighting. But it's difficult to see a light at the end of the tunnel with the united states. For instance still using incredibly hawkish rhetoric toward china and russia And then it's also difficult when you think about other right wing leaders globally. Who also don't seem to take climate change very seriously and have Rolled back any progress. That's been made on this effort totally. You're one hundred percent right. I mean this is what happens. When you let strongmen demagogue dictators runamuck throughout the world. I mean that. And that's what our does there's and there's no reason for bolsonaro to negotiate with trump right because you just get into this endless. What about is i mean to negotiate with trump before Or you know or anything. So that's what happens when you have strong men in their own camps. Uh your i your chances of diplomacy completely unravel and the reason. Diplomacy matters is because climate change is a global issue that has to be tackled globally. And i know it's hard for leftists who are like man can the. Us do anything good in the world. It's a good question but if there's one reason why we need to keep on trying aides to stop climate change into curb climate change and there's a number of ways that that can happen. First of all countries like brazil need to be paid to preserve the amazon full stop because the only reason that these fires are burning is because it's more profitable to use that land for monocrop culture whether it's soy wheat. Most things are actually for export for foreign cows as foreign cows but for cattle and livestock to eat too then so to americans and other first world countries like. It's all the self-perpetuating You know terrible recipe for climate chaos. It's gotta be more profitable for that country to preserve the amazon so no one you know it should be illegal to be buying anything. Like feed from formerly deforested amazon rainforest. That's that's like that should be illegal. And countries like the united states countries like china countries like in western europe who have contributed vastly to the amount of co two disproportionately to the amount of co two in the atmosphere Need to be shelling over the doe. There is no other way at this point. Yes our has a role to play but there needs to be a carrot at the end that stick and an otherwise. You're gonna keep on seeing this and just to you know explain. Y'all know that like the amazon lungs of the world leg rain clouds. That form in the amazon like you ended up falling on southern california and texas and all over rate so like extreme drought in the us thanks to the deforestation. Yeah no you make such a great point there and you know i i if you look at some of the regulations in a state like california which to be sure governance in california. I have complained about quite a bit recently. and i stand by those criticisms however there are certain environmental protections in california that i'm fond of including a recent story involving a family who bought a home in joshua tree california and decided that you know. They're they're building expanding this home. They're adding some additions and they're like look these four joshua trees or in the way so we're going to go ahead and uproot them and get rid of them. Well turns out that there are strict regulations against chopping down or getting rid of joshua trees. Because i didn't know this. They're actually endangered and so they had to pay these pretty hefty fines as a result of what they did. And so i think that in some contexts the the stick works right. The fines the penalties Real consequences Could work especially domestically. But you're right. I mean internationally. We need to find ways to collaborate but also to provide incentives especially to countries that aren't as privileged as the united states is to ensure that they're protecting their environment or you know the the nature that surrounds Their country So yeah i think that's a really great point. One final thing. I wanted to bring up in regard to the recent studies that were done into this So researchers who routinely tested the atmosphere of four areas in amazonia twice a month over a nine year period found that not only or carbon emissions higher in the eastern areas of the rainforest than in the western areas but that the south eastern area is putting more carbon dioxide into the atmosphere than it absorbs going back to what the lead of the story is the eastern amazon is a hot spot of deforestation.

"It is a well-worn tactic. It is a nonviolent tactic. But again they see the writing on the wall and they're trying to jump out ahead of it. Yeah what. I think is so fascinating. Is you know various camps. Various groups that refuse to ever take any responsibility or more importantly see foreign relations or even domestic politics through a nuanced lens so That's certainly the case in israel. Where on one hand. Of course you can understand the importance of a place for israelis to live safely without any fear of retaliation from hamas or any other group of people. You want a situation in which people can live in peace and prosper on the other hand It seems as though for very long time especially in. Us media any effort to justifiably criticized the action specifically of these rayleigh government in their aggression toward palestinians whether it be in gaza or the west bank east jerusalem has resulted the most insane accusations of anti-semitism of hatred toward jewish people. Which is i think. That's absolutely insane right. It's a way of shutting down the conversation immediately. And i think it's wrong. I mean you see similar actions on the left in regard to Issues like syria. For instance right on one hand you obviously can say we. Shouldn't you know invade syria. We shouldn't do intervention in syria. But you can also look at syria for what it is and you can Analyze and critique the actions of bishara. Assad but like this absolutism that i'm seeing in in various international issues is toxic and awful and honestly the people who see things in black and white way and then urge everyone to see everything through their lens. They're not helping the situation at all at all. That kind of black and white thinking doesn't lead to any real solutions on the ground. now i say that Obviously by thinking about Michael broke because he was one of the few people who was able to provide international analysis that nuance that was well researched. And he talked about israel quite a bit honestly there. There have been videos that have gone viral of his After his passing on this very issue what are the videos. That actually has not gone viral. But i wanted to share with you. all has to do with the allegations of anti-semitism anytime anyone wants to do again. Justified critique of the israeli government. let's watch.

City Councilman Mike Posey says written notices will be posted, and after 24 hours, the stuff will be collected and stored. Anything that could be contaminated with bodily fluids or human waste would be disposed of, He says. Storage is available for those who check into the city's new shelter. Questions Arise Over CDC Guidance on COVID-19 Vaccines

"A lot of Americans Congressman Thomas Massie already had coronavirus and wanted to know if he should still get a covid-19 seem most everyone has had covid-19 is considered immune but how long immunity last is unknown whether it's after infection or vaccination on award winning scientists himself as he quickly found that vaccine studies showed no benefit to people who've had coronavirus vaccination didn't change their odds of getting reinfected. The controversy began when Massey noticed the CDC was claiming the exact opposite cdc's advisory committee on immunization practices had just issued a high-profile report offered by fifteen scientists. It wrongly claimed Pfizer study proved. The vaccine is highly effective or showed consistent High efficacy for people who'd already had coronavirus. Thar's Covey to it says the exact opposite of what the data says. They're giving people the impression that this vaccine will save your life, even or you know save you from suffering even if you've already had the virus and recovered which has not been demonstrated in either the Pfizer or the moderna trial the mystery deepened when Massey contacted CD-ROM for an explanation as he says he was so alarmed by the misinformation he decided to record the calls on a December 16th. Call cdc's Captain Amanda Cohn C ROM Agree that people who've had coronavirus shouldn't rush to get vaccinated. You know given that there's limited doses right now where we are you suggesting that those people who wait for that suggestion to wait has it always gotten out. Should I get the vaccine if I've already had covered it experts say it's a good idea because they're not sure how protected you are after recovering our full measure investigation examined the database reporting illness after covid-19 scenes. It shows numerous people are getting vaccinated even though they've already have the virus some experts say that's depriving others who need the vaccine most health officials in many kids say they don't have enough vaccine. It's happening across the country promised doses not delivered on the call. In fact Massey for flagging they're mistaken claim that vaccines were proven to work for people who've had coronavirus. I think we'd read that way. She'll go down the other stuff. You know, we just skipped right over it with we know we can't be perfect. I mean they're working on this thing will forever after be known at all but legalized. Okay, and they said thank you for finding the mistake. We're going to fix this and I thought well, okay problem solved. This is how government works but it didn't quite turn out that way two days later the same doctor KO nud probes to fix joined other CDC doctors in repeating the false information this time in an online session for medical professionals. They wrongly claimed studies show people who've had coronavirus home do benefit from the vaccine.

The Game Awards Sees Huge Viewership Growth Once Again in 2020

"Right. So first some stats released by The Game Awards this morning on their viewership for the twenty-twenty show. They saw $83 million total live streams with a peek of 8.3 million concurrent viewers. That's an eighty four percent growth on the 2019 broadcast every year the show has been growing rapidly in 2017. The total viewership was eleven point five million. So the game awards has seen an increase of seventy one point five million unique viewers over the last three years, but we do have to qualify these numbers comparing live streaming numbers two numbers from TV broadcast. Is how we ended up with bad stats like League of Legends has more viewers than the Superbowl they don't and they still don't but you could find the CNBC article claiming that they do on Google. They haven't taken it down. I don't know why the problem is that it's an apples to oranges comparison. When you compare unique live streaming viewers to TV ratings, which require consistent viewing. That's why the major Esports developers have brought Nielsen's am a stat to quantify their viewership right against World son AMA of twenty-three million. That's great. The Superbowl is around a hundred million. It's not closed but it's still really impressive when we don't have a m a a better comparison to TV ratings are pecan currents. But even that number is going to be higher than a TV rating because that's based on an average audience not on the top total audience wage. So with those qualifications in place and I am not saying the game awards are bigger than any of the he got family. It feels like it's getting close the Emmys and the tone. He's presenting Awards and wage. TV and Broadway respectively are the two least watched award shows with 5.1 million viewers for the Emmys and five point five million viewers for the Tony's in 2019 the Grammys and the Oscars are on another level above music's Grammys saw viewership of 16.5 million and Hollywood's Oscars were at twenty three point six million in 2019. So how's the game awards have a way to go but this is a broadcast first created in 2014. The Oscars have been around since nineteen twenty-nine the Tonys Grammys and Emmys were all created for a 1960 as well. So it's safe to say they had a bit of a head start with the crazy increase in viewership year-over-year and the way the game awards has embraced KO streaming. It's the only one of these award shows on a growth trajectory. Now again until the game awards Embraces am a stats. We won't be able to directly compare but one comparison we can make is the total industry the two biggest dog. Shows my viewership are in music and film video games are a bigger total industry than music and film combined. It sounds crazy. But it's true. The game awards is quickly becoming to go to a commercial for this massive industry and big stars are beginning to appear at it. Always a good step forward give it another five years and we might have to add another letter to he got

"Hell sorry back stevenson the tokat they tripping anyways that's borne a chip and they don't know boxing the suicides boxy yes. It's the same thing that ever haiti against gambling. Orders saying that. You know what i'm saying. He didn't get the explosive knockout. Or you know what. I'm saying explosive. Knock down but the way he was going to the body and the way he was counterpunching and and and on the phone with the jab was just beautiful workman beautiful work. You do have times when i said it. Before when fighters coming there and they know how to survive they have the tactics shallow properly to protect themselves not to get any hard blows at. Somebody's you know on the attack but at the same time you know i mean you can still put on a beautiful performance with somebody's yes. They let evan haney against gambling. Then it's to who you up with that what there was two of us. I know startling. Whoa no that's what i was saying. That's what my thought like. Our anybody saying that you know what i mean. They want big job shoulder. They want knockout. Da doesn't come on time time. When you see beautiful skills be undis- play beautiful boxing. You know what i'm saying. You gotta love it man. You can't you can't say it's bore. You know i get it. But i'm happy that you made the link with the henny versus combo for it because A lot of people that said the same thing as staying consistent and just saying something about sha according for me. It's never going to be boring right so this is like like we say like this is the science this is not a bar fight I wanna see that the skills and us what we get we wish aku and haney. It's nice to have the x facto. But you know at least you know the people just coming with that kind of energy are remaining consistent and are really talking about yoda they wanna see to knock out now right so Maybe it's something that's going to stick with chagall. If it doesn't get those stoppages right people are gonna start talking about the power level and the excitement level rate so exactly. You're one hundred percent right. I mean first of all. Let's let's be real tacos. A is pretty durable guys been down our. He's lost once by. Ko you know it was a first round ko first-round cao's they could be a bunch of different things but a lot of times they could just be a single mistake it could be You know representative something bigger like a bad camper or whatever you know what. I mean i it's just. There is no consistency there to say that he's got a chance or he doesn't have a chain or whatever It was a great show in terms of chicago showing why he's one of the best young fighters on the today. I think he showed plenty of times. the levels that separate him between the rest of the class in in in this guy's just headed for top five pound for pound. I mean no question. No doubt yeah he needs the names and that will come But right now he just looks so good. But i understand the narrative. Because if you look at what's going on in boxing everything's heading to x. exhibitions like everything's like the biggest guys in the sport right now. The paul brothers. Like whether you want to say it or not the truth is is. They've made a huge splash. You know how. Can mike tyson revive a career after all this time because he used to get knockouts because knockouts or what sell you know. Berlanga did his thing to. We'll talk about that later. But i think ultimately boring is. It's it's tough word to to to wrap around. There was plenty of action. You know you can beat a team in baseball fifteen two zero and not have any home runs. And you know it's still a masterclass if you appreciate the sport and and the sweet science of it all I personally wasn't board but the narrative that should core needs to put these guys away to further his commercial. Appeal is a narrative that i understand. What's twitter saying since you keep your ear to twitter. you know. A lot of people are convinced that he hasn't been tested yet. People think that he is on this diet. Still people think that A lot that i saw was people saying well. Yeah it's easy to look good against xyz people calling the bums his opponents bog. While they all want burchette live they want him against the herrings of the world and the frampton of the world But i disagree i disagree. I don't think that his. I think his resume is ahead of schedule i will. I don't know about ahead of schedule but i think that The two guys that he's faced are decent names and presented certain tests that he passed Joachin allah's only made himself more of a commodity by getting the win over mighty. I got in the fashion that he did. Because that was a common opponent with a guy like ceelo marchinko so that elevates chicago's win over joe wet because he did it easy and then soka con is a common opponent kid galahad You know and again. It raises this wind because he did it easy. I have no doubt in my mind that he beats shell. And the winner of frampton hairy agreed the way. Like the telecast was kind of letting us know that that's his goals. It looks like he's going to go. The route of frampton herring. I hopefully frampton wins. So that haring doesn't have to fight his friend But before you guys give your thoughts taking back to chicago and con giada. Real says com was there to survive not to win totally agree. I kind of what is there to do to talk about on if they're caught triggers me. You'll but that's true. You know when you get the opponents that don't necessarily come to win is very difficult to look good too good against and thus attest talking about you have to learn how to take those guys apart Don't let them get you straightened for example. Stick you boxing and you have to realize that. Sometimes you're not always going to get the knockout. Those knockouts do tend to cover when you fighting i. The very less skilled opponents are all guys that come and give you something to contest. They come with some kind of aggression and some kind of like desire to win so i wanted to piggyback off your thought because you're right down the lane that i was going right down a fighter like a frampton or josh warrenton that that is the type of style he likes because he can catch them with his time in between and knocked the hell out but if you gotta fight it that's constantly on the back foot sheldon. I mean he's just taking blows chicago. You know what i mean. As they've been comes on board for him you know for him. He's fast man. He was catching so calm with You know left and right hooks to the body and pulling back out and not getting caught. I mean his timing is just too too too nice right now. He's sharp man. He's very sharp. He loves attacking. The body with the job is just a very intelligent and composed and all around sound fighter. Little flaws in the ring I i think you know whenever you do. See him get hits. It's because he's in that shoulder row but even that she was successful for him. I mean the way he called toca con with that counter off that showed the role in the corner was i thought he was gonna knock come out. I was shot. He can get a down so hopefully you know. Tokyo got a chin man like leg. Mario said he hasn't really been done that much. You got a pretty good on the knocked out. Okay talents once in a first round contest. You know that's really hard to pin down. Exactly what that was he. He was out though. You know Maybe she courtney's demands strength house. Zero shukor twenty three twenty three. I don't see them having a problem. People thinking he gonna have with shell..

Recapping Valorant's First Strike Tournaments From Around the World

"Fowler was relieved the summer. All the competitions have been ones that e Sports organizations paid to host. And while these events have produced Some solid moments. All eyes have been on Riot for how they'll begin to craft and Esports structure around the popular town. The first step was last weekend most likely of Legends Riot would worldwide with the first set of tournaments holding Seventeen tournaments in different regions around the world almost all were brand as first strike been the region so first strike and then a first strike you first by Korea et cetera, et cetera a few others were incorporated into other existing events like the ESL Thailand championship and mine skeevy XV wage. The notable Omission was China because the game hasn't been approved by the Chinese government yet. So that left three major regions any you and Korea each of these regions had the biggest prize pool for First Strike with 100 Grand a piece. There were also Sentinels Renegades Envy FaZe Clan T1, and Immortals viewership was good to write games allowed KO streaming down. The fans can watch individual players perspectives big names like myth and ninja commanded solid audience during first strike n a it's too early to say whether or not Valerie will be successful. But this event went well things considered anecdotally the game was fun to watch even though I'm not a huge shooter fan. Normally, it seemed a bit less hectic than OverWatch. Even if it was sometimes hard to follow the action. That's something that every game goes through during first few broadcasts. It's just really hard to figure out what they should be prioritizing on air if Valerie is successful. We can say we witnessed a crucial moment in the birth of a new sport this past weekend.

Poll shows tightening race for Prop. 22 in California

"Have no less than 12 propositions to weigh in on California is always big on its propositions. So much so that Ko Phi radio reporter Chris and Carlo has made an entire podcast out of them called Proposition, and I spoke this week about one that's got the whole lot of attention. Prop 22. Earlier this year, California passed a law requiring companies that that hire hire gig gig workers workers to to classify classify those those workers workers is is actual actual employees employees eligible eligible for for benefits benefits and and higher higher pay. pay. Uber Uber lift lift insta insta card card doordash. doordash. Those Those are are some some of of the the companies companies were were talking talking about what prop 22 would do is give those companies and exemption so they could still hire people is contract workers and not actual employees with benefits and said income, Carlos says Uber has been pushing a yes vote on this while a lot of uber drivers Have been urging people to vote No on prop 22. The problem is that for these tech companies it made there Model, their business model in many ways, non viable and so they have been fighting that law, and as a matter of fact, they have refused to adhere to that law since it was put in place and they have been in court suing encounter suing the state of California to avoid going in place complying with the law. Now it's important Tio understand that when we talk about prop 22, because Cop 22 is kind of a get out of jail free card for these companies. If prop 22 passes, it creates a kind of side framework for specifically these tech gig Cos Where they lay out what sort of wages they're going to pay. They lay out what sort of benefits they're going to offer, and it essentially exempt them from 85. That's why they're pouring a ton of money into this. I mean, we're talking about $200 Million ballot measure fight, which is the most expensive in California history. So you've got proposition 22. If you vote yes, that would let uber lift insta card and other companies who hire gig workers as workers. Be exempt from a law that says they must be considered employees and not contracted workers. If you are California voter and you vote no on prop 22, That means these companies don't get the exemptions. What do you think that How is the polling looking on how it's going? The polling hasn't been really conclusive. We've seen a lot of attention focused on the yes side because the money's on the outside of that $200 million that I mentioned roughly about 190 million of it has been raised in close to spent by the Yes side. That's where you're seeing all the advertisements. You're also seeing sort of in kind advertisement. So you know if you log on to the uber platform with lift platform in California boom, you get a little mini advertisement. Hey, don't forget to vote Yes, on prop 22 so It's difficult to assess whether or not this is gaining traction with people. It's also a very difficult questions of process because, yes, it sounds good if you are a passenger, if you're somebody that depends on uber and left if you are maybe an uber and lift driver you want this, But there are a lot of Hoover and live drivers that say Hang on a second, It would take a 78 vote of the Legislature here in California to overturn it, which makes this basically a law that is irreversible. It's almost impossible. To get a seven eight's majority on anything. The only other way to do this is to go back to the ballot measure process and try to undo it. But now you're talking about another $200 million fight, and the other side has all the money and your side doesn't What we're looking at. Here is a classic fight between labor and capital. I mean, this is the sort of thing that we saw during the progressive movement around the turn of the 20th century. But it is a 21st century twist where you've got, of course, thes tech based platforms that are According to the company's offering up a ton of opportunity for these drivers and for these gig workers, But for some of these gig workers and some of the unions that are backing these gate workers, they say that they're being taken advantage of. And the opportunities for earning more money continues to diminish Chris that Carlo Thank you so much

Honestly, I WANNA go back on Jeff. Show. I was thinking it'd be it'd be funny sequel if I went back on. Because we have like beef now it's faked beef, but it's like real beef at the same time. I. Haven't been following that. So We'll know it's just like from the fact that He. Ambushed me right. You know I gotTa say if I was you I'd be a little pissed 'cause it's like. Jake came out hot and heavy, but it wasn't just jacobs like everybody was like, yeah. You know he he sometimes, if you made a video about me, I'd be gutted and all these guys are like. Thank you I appreciate that Yeah I was I was like you're saying I should have been pissed at Jeff I would've been you're a much better person than I am apparently, I would have been a little pissed like did what the fuck you know afterwards I was like 'cause I was telling people in were like you should probably be by pissed at him and I was like 'cause we'd been hiking now day we went on a nice hike together. And then before shooting the show and I was like we're GONNA go on a hike, I'm going to get a haircut is going to be a great day. And And so we went on the hike and was great and I felt good and they sat down for the haircut that happened but I was just like, oh we did going hike together earlier so I can't be that bad because it was nice night. And then people were like he's probably be pretty mad and then I mean like I think that. It turned out kind of funny like the whole situation for sure turned out pretty pretty funny and so I wasn't that mad but then now I'm Kinda fake mad and so I kind of want to go on his show again and be like don't ambushed again. I wonder if there's one else we could have in the closet to ambush you different plus I he told me he said we were trying to lay to come in and she said, yes, and then her manager someone said, no, you shouldn't do that and so she was like, okay, fine a only jake had handlers. That's smart. Yeah But it was actually it was the greatest reverse card ever because I remember he posted his video trying to slam on. You did that's like got ninety nine percent dislike. And and Yeah I. Think it worked out pretty well few. But actually are you falling the Jake Paul News because he? Like for example, I just came out that he owes two million dollars in federal taxes. Is that true? I saw that but I didn't know if it was true or not. You know what I don't know if it's true or not either kind of a tabloid. Papers. "Alright will welcome to another episode of killing time I. Know we didn't have killing time last week but I said it would be worth it for this week because we're together. Yes. Gangs all back gangs are here and here. We guys here on what do me speak up mission control? He's so. Yes. Joe You're controlling the scenario, we need him. When we would record in person which now you guys it's been six months. We're talking about a released six months six months March the beginning of March last time we did it I can't believe it's been six months number one. It's sad. But when we would record, jared would always be. Around maybe it'd be manning the system to make sure that we get up because we did up. So. You think you guys have done a great job of doing this from home. Honestly, it's it's also easier as easy. It's easier than doing it together. It takes less time setup it takes less than a SCHLEP somewhere. I do enjoy you guys in person more so though. With more. So for the hangs totally I know but you guys did come over with a whole suitcase for all of our shit it was a whole suitcase. Box of our remote recording stuff like up on a ledge. Low. Maintenance it's really easy but I do feel like part of our chemistry is lost weight together it is. So it's really good to be back in the same room with you all and we've we're being really safe about it. I was just tested a couple of years ago. So as I so as you're. was building. So we thought it was the perfect time for all of us to join forces Lexus and I have been in our quarantine pods for like months right and then Alexis and are working on a new project. We are. We're going to be mean bill. You'RE GONNA be living in a house together for six weeks. Can you talk about what the project is? Not We can't talk about the specifics, but we can talk about we could. What can we ut's I feel insane people we can say that the TV project and we can say that it's About X. Place on the East on the east. coast. We can say it's a long island actually. About a true crime related site. alands and do some deductive reasoning. Yeah. So that will be out in February. So as soon as we can say something we will we will. Well, I'm actually a little bit offended that I wasn't invited to take part Fratto said you can't come what the Helmet GonNa do with billy for six weeks house. hobbies surprised if you guys both make it out alive to be fair, know what track I was actually going to ask you this. Without talking to Alexis but could we have kind of a hotline that talked during this entire? What your hotline is it's jared. Jared, I'm here billy in his bedroom talking about golden retrievers. I'm going to know for sure who he's talking to. Hear Your Voice on the other end of that facetime jacqueline belly I will feel betrayed. I know whose side you're on. Well, we're literally sitting on two separate sides of the room right now because it's literally girls versus boys in this whole situation to open up my hotline for billions. Thank you honestly I'll just barge in and I'll just it. I'll just. On Your door no privacy bill. You'll be like, I hate this so much about Alexis. You'll be like I hate it to. Anything you hate about me I already hate more. Worry no one hates me more than me see? That's what I. Think is such a it's so great when there's haters like haters online sometimes billiards tons of haters. Than you don't worry about it. What do you think you're going to get under my stand nothing that you can do that's going to make me feel any worse than they are already feel well, what I was cracking about I think it was two 'til killing times ago. I. Was talking about this. There's a reason we made our podcast scripted. It's we took our personalities out of it because we hate them too. Only if we stick around for killing time that that means you sorta like it which I commend you I don't know. Well, here's the thing we're polarizing to some people. I'm sure. So it's like we got some shit sometimes for like inserting too much of a personality into the episodes. It's also hard to like we joke around and have a good time. and it's very hard to make sure that that is respectful. One hundred percent of the time. So it's like we're going to remove all that shit out especially because we're talking about such sensitive topics. So we're happy to be have the bedside manner to not be joking around and all of that which we don't anymore and we never really did I mean. Very. seriously. But that being said, if you don't like her personality, there's none of that in the show. Yeah. Don't listen to killing time and you'll you won't have to deal with our shenanigans. It's literally like reading from a script absolutely poorly yes. That is why we put it at the end that is why open at the end. Okay. So this is the first day that we have hung out in six months as a group. Well, we did have one social distancing a couple of months ago we got kicked off the beach. That's when we got kicked off the beach we I live. Near the marina and Los Angeles and we have like a quote unquote beach. Hang, and there is only four of us there and we were sitting probably twenty feet away from each other so. We didn't. Yeah. We did not go near each other and we got yelled for being on that beach. A car drove by saying. Pandemic. We're the only people on the beach yet. Now when it looks look outside and we're still in the middle of a pandemic, there were thousands of ball. On top of each other is weird. I don't know what to do about that. I don't know what the things about that. Let's conflict because the safest place to be is outside especially at the beach where you got the. Events being such social creatures if you're trying to be safe. Compromise would be meeting outside. So it sort of just difficult because there's nowhere else to go. I think bottom line is that if you if you're if you meet friends outside if you social distance, you're good. Yeah it's it. Where the spread happens is when you're inside when you go to a party when you go to a family party when people are hugging, it's all of that outside always which is my dream I. Honestly you're you're built for this I'm built for the Pandak I don't want it to be here. Any longer. So that was the first one we hung out. So we're we hung out today we had a little pre, H-hang. Yes. I decided to make some drinks young guys how're the drinks? The revised drink was amazing to told everybody what made you so she made. This amazing. Water Spicy Watermelon Margarita and it was amazing except it was so spicy I put an entire opinion and so for anybody that doesn't follow me on Instagram what you should I do these cocktail videos every week and make sure at a cocktail I don't know how to make cocktails at all I suck at cocktail making. I. Think you're good but making for charity but you.

"There was the green man, the glowing ghost of a man who was electrocuted in the area and continued to haunt the grounds, all these stories me, for Halloween, Tales and urban legends. But Tragically, Shannon would now be added to the law of Zombie land because on Wednesday afternoon, the body of twelve year old Shannon Lico was found. Saw It on the news. It was a news story about a girl young girl who was missing and they found remains at just like super young and I was like what? I saw. I saw the snippet of news and I thought God I need to find out what happened. When police arrived at Zombie land what they found was something right out of a horror movie. Shannon's body was lying face down near an abandoned railroad line. She had many visible sharp force injuries she'd been stopped and it seemed as though her killer or killers had tried to conceal their crime by attempting to burn Shannon's remains. The investigation into the disappearance of Shannon Lee costs had now switched gears. Shannon had been murdered in brutally at that and who could be responsible for something. So horrific. Shannon's face was all over news. TV segments and newspapers and police hope that tips would start pouring in. Police processed the scene hoping that some physical evidence was left behind. That could point to a possible suspect in this case. An autopsy was conducted and it was revealed that Shannon had been stabbed forty times in the neck and torso, and the police believe a large knife had been the murder weapon. And based on the level of decomposition believe that she had been killed somewhere between forty and seventy two hours before she was found. And like we said. Of Her body had been burned. The community was reeling from the news of Shen's death. But no one was more devastated than her family. and. They made the following statement to the media. And here's what they said. Quote Shannon was bright artistic girl whose life became troubled within the past year. For reasons, we are still struggling to understand. We made many attempts in cooperation with her school through counseling to help her. Little victim blaming and it it feels to me. This is two thousand and it's almost like they were anticipating criticism I. Think it almost is setting up that they believe that Shannon might have. died by suicide. Yeah. Maybe they didn't know yet when they made the statement, the circumstances under which because it just seems defensive something. Exactly. Cases like vests were not common instructors and understandably everyone heard about this was shaken to the core. Who would do this to a twelve year old girl? Detectives were determined to answer that question, and luckily as they hoped, tips did start role in. Someone who had driven by Zombie land area on the night after Shannon. Had disappeared reported seeing a ninety four dodge shadow parked alongside the road not far from where Shannon's body had been found the police went back to Shannon's friends and this time they started to open up about some of Shannon's activities in the weeks prior to her murder. In some of those activities involved a much older boy that Shannon had been seeing a boy named billy Monday. And when we older, we mean significantly older because billy wasn't a boy billy was a man. He was twenty one years old and he had been quote unquote seeing Shannon for about a month and remember Shannon's twelve. So. Billy was a local around town. He was a bit of metal head and he hadn't really done much since high school and obviously police are going to look at this man who was hanging around with twelve year old girl when they found out one detail about him they knew they had to bring him in. But what was that detail? Well, Billy's mom drove in one, thousand, nine, hundred, four, dodge shadow one that matched the description of the one seen near where Shannon's body had been found. So, once his connection was made billy was brought in for questioning obviously, and it wasn't long until two more billy's friends were also brought in to the police department to be interrogated. Their names were Dave Garvey and Perry Riccardi, and both were twenty years old. And then a tale started to unravel back tober fifteenth. All three of them had been arrested for killing twelve year old Shannon. And Billy's Mugshot. He has a thin moustache short spiky hair and a hollow dead look on his face. Davis Mugshot depicts a man with a mustache, a goatee and swept back here. And another glazed look over his face. Both of these guys look literally dead inside and the police believe that Shannon had fallen into a trap set by the man who planned to rape and murder her they said quote we believe that these three guys planned to rape and kill her and that this was a kill for thrill. We believe that sometime between when they picked her up and when she was killed, they decided that they are going to rape and kill her. When LESHICA had heard about the murder of the twelve year old girl she was disturbed. Of course who wouldn't be if you heard of such a horrific crime being committed in your own backyard. But when she found out who was arrested for committing the crime. She was floored I. Really didn't know what happened I. Didn't have I. didn't feel like crying I guess into what was going on then I came more attention when it was like, okay, this remains found the viscount and it's lead. You know the suspects are. These. People I was just like Whoa the they just superior Cardi late. In the Steve Garvey Billy money I just thought they have the wrong person there's no way carry would be involved. LESHICA actually knew all three of these men. In fact, she don't billy Monday since she was Shannon's age. I laced in middle school he was heavy. But he was good friends with. My best friend's over brother, and so he would always be in the neighborhood he a couple of streets down we lived in these apartments. There was also a certain level of distinction with all the families. We kind of what I call one, another boyfriend girlfriend, but it really wasn't. Just the fact that he would come over and I would it's hair or Just hang how like I thought that was being girlfriend but you never like went out on dates. I was way too young to date anyway. Billy. Monday and Dave Garvey best friends. In fact Dave living with billy at the time the murder took place. They were all friends I. Think they were like a little bit of a click and. They were kind of like he outsiders they weren't like Gothic but. The allied heavy metal. They liked university metallica or insane clown, posse year. Dirk music's but..

"The guardians of interest rates have spoken. Not just about the cost of borrowing. What about paychecks? I'm David Brancaccio in New York. Good morning the Federal Reserve decided to keep interest rates unchanged yesterday. It's a complex decision. One factors wages spikes wages can spark inflation. But there's no spike marketplace's. Nancy Marshall Genzer asked chair Powell. It is briefing about this. What did you learn about wages? Well David they are. Rising average hourly earnings were up around around three percent last month over the same time last year but the unemployment rate is down to three and a half percent with workers that scarce wages Tipoki hypoc typically rise more. Yes so what's going on. Well you kind of have a lot of theories on that. So does Fed Chair Jerome Powell when I asked him at yesterday's press has comrades about this low wage growth he said low productivity was holding wages. Back he also blamed globalization. The idea that you can make manufacturer picture or even provide services anywhere in the world to anywhere in the world. I think that hangs over the wage setting process and everywhere pretty much you. Don't let's see there. There isn't the kind of traction in the wage market and how also said the labor market might not be as tight as he thought. It was intriguing intriguing meaning meaning we keep seeing people moving off the sidelines and getting jobs and these are people who gave up looking for work and were unemployed for a long time nine. They're now getting jobs. Pal says there may be more people like that. Maybe workers aren't so scarce if employers are still getting applications for job openings. They won't feel the need to raise wages all right so fed yesterday today. It's the European Central Bank. The new head of the CBI Christine Lagarde former International Monetary Fund chief will do the economic and interest rate briefing. It is a subtle art communicating. This stuff trying to say something but not enough to freak out markets are marketplace colleague. The BBC's Victoria Craig Greg now on how Lagarde's predecessors standard if former ECB. Chief Mario Draghi taught the world anything about monetary policy. It's that words words matter during the eurozone debt crisis in two thousand twelve. He proved that point in his famous off the cuff. Pledge to do whatever it takes to preserve the euro it only only make sense. Then that newly-installed boss Christine Lagarde will be in sharp focus today. Investors will be searching for even the smallest clues about any looming policy changes the ECB is expected to keep rates steady but after relaunching its financial crisis era bond buying program in September Ms Lagarde could remark on any adverse defects so far and their eventual impact on policy next year when it comes to interest rates. She said that rather than be considered a traditional monetary policy hawk doc preferring higher interest rates or dove preferring low ones. She's a self described owl an animal. She calls very wise. That has been interpreted it to me. She'll keep ECB policy the same at least for the next several months in London. I'm the BBC's Victoria Craig for marketplace. Let's check markets. The Dow S&P NASDAQ futures are up slightly. A tenth of a percent or less the footsie in London is up five tenths percent on election day. The brand new stock in the massive of Saudi oil company Aramco rose on its second day of trading to the point that on paper it was worth two trillion dollars. That's a figure. There are enough members on the Appellate Body for it to do its thing because the US has been blocking replacements as the terms of judges expire. Now three years ago there were seven judges. They're now down to one annette marketplace's Sabrina sure has more. The trump administration has argued the WTO is infringing on rights. The US never agreed to give up when the WTO was created in nineteen ninety eighty five in others generally objection by the United States that the Appellate Body's going beyond its mandate kind of creating law. Rachel Brewster is a professor of law at at Duke she and other observers say the. US has been vocal in its criticisms but hasn't been actively negotiating to reform the WTO. Because they say the trump administration believes believes it would be better off without it. The trump administration is fundamentally opposed to the idea of a rule of law system in trade. The other one hundred sixty three member member countries who presumably still want the WTO to keep operating have a few options. Jennifer Helmet is with the council on Foreign Relations and used to serve on the WTO Appellate Body. It could be be that the countries choose to exercise restraint meaning countries could give up their right to appeal lower panel rulings the WTO just live with rulings. They don't like instead instead of appealing them the other way that the European Union and Canada Norway and others are proposing is to use within the rules itself an arbitration process again. A way eight to work around the fact that the equivalent of the Supreme Court for Trade is shut down. There are problems with that. Richard Winer is an attorney with Sidley. Austin one is that all all the parties to the dispute including third parties have to agree the. US IS A party to about fifty percent of proceedings he says and could object to any work arounds and that would shut shutdown that process meaning the WTO's ability to settle. Disputes could be damaged for some time again. Rachel Brewster. It looks like it's just going to go on indefinitely until a new American administration changes it's policy and more trade disputes might be waged the old fashioned way through destabilizing trade wars and bare knuckled negotiation in New York. Ko Answer this as cleanly as you can are you are you not a dick this is exactly what I wanted between two ferns type style time trying I'm going for I don't know if they told you that's what I wanted to film with you just want to be like the blunt like Dick question and people get caught off guard and then see the response Emma Dick I don't think so in person but online probably definitely portrayed as being a Dick for sure is that does that keep you up at night ever like have you said certain things because it seems like it seemed like the content recreate is going against something that someone saying so it's viewed as negative right and so there's maybe a swirl of negative energy surrounding does that we're in this world today where everyone's talking about being positive and positively and you have to have all these positive thoughts are is some of this controversy does that sometimes giving Zaire make it hard to sleep or how do you feel day-to-day I mean there's only bad probably couple situations at the top of my head that has yeah like affected my sleep one was when I like called out Larry Wheels before having one hundred percent concrete evidence of anything so if I make like a claim or a video off of just reflex and emotions and don't do like the do our due diligence of the full on research before it published the video then it's like you might say easy with me other than that though so you're not really trying to hurt anybody know and it's like it's definitely viewed from both perspectives because obviously you're going to have the fan base of whoever I'm calling out trying to offend their idol and who they look up to regardless if that person did the worst thing imaginable then you have like my audience who just wants the truth and everything is just kind of looking at objects ably so it's like you're going to have the controversy because there's going to be both parties kinda going against one another you think maybe moving forward you'll kind of stick till like natty not rather than like maybe I guess interrogating someone's life on a more personal level I feel like the now you're not GonNa die out now where people we're starting to catch on it's becoming a trend and everyone's like you know I'm just going to be open about it because it's so much more except I feel like it was a few years ago because now you even have youtuber is that are making a channel or name them or on themselves basically just saying an opening up to their audience and they earned the respect of saying hey this is what I'm taking this one doing and this is how making the progress I am so it's like the dynamic is just really changed behind the view of it all wears feel maybe five ten years ago you'd never hear anyone talk about anything just because it was so I guess ridiculed more than it is now so from your point of view what you're trying to anytime anyone says something where you like I think that's bullshit then you're just gonNA look into it deeper yeah and it's not like I immediately know like there's something that might go off my brain though I'm like Whoa this looks a little bit suspicious in any as you mentioned you know dive in a little bit deeper and then if I start to find more evidence and more stuff and more people coming forward with you know proof of certain things and Gatien's then it's like I can kind of build more of a story and get at least close as possible to what the actual truth behind it is so like how the start because in your mind Mir your challenge came star like a lot of people say exactly it's like the drama alerts so like how how did that start for you why did you you want to pursue that route of creating that content was your content always like that or were you making fitness concept the beginning how like what was the start of it for you I mean person I've always been someone who enjoyed like drama alert type content I think there's always going to be those that audience out there you know where they want to see the drama they wanna see stuff that keeps them on the edge of the the rivalries between two people whether it's means someone else or maybe you and someone else so I was always a big fan of that and I think it just kind of transpired into what I created my channel to be as something I already liked to watch so why not just talk about and give my opinion on those types of subjects and obviously I made it more niche with going fitness industry rather than just youtube as a whole but the fitness industry being a small as it is it's like there's so few big names that it's just really well no and at that point I've seen some videos you know where you you've talked about you mentioned Larry Wheels and then I think that you actually took down video and I guess he had some allegations that you felt weren't clear enough right kind of what happened like what what open with Larry wheels basically took the video down just out of respect for him it was Kinda shortly after the whole Jeremy Bundi situation and wheels ex-girlfriends came out with a video on youtube basically saying you know that he abused her all these different things and before Larry gave his response I looked at only one side story leading Larry you know waiting and having him publish his video and then kind of looking objectively like okay who's more right what sounds more believing double I just kind of went off of motion of what she said because the tapes did sound pretty bad from at least my opinion and like I said I've emotion just filmed the video breath so like sounded really nasty for sure but I.

"On KO a. you brought this country to live right Edwards Benjamin all Friday football Friday. Broncos country tonight. got a lot of cool stuff coming up March what mark long coming up in the next hour to preview the jags you'll really but to say mark Walberg there and I'm almost happened allegedly. Friday fantasy fix Benjamin's gonna tell you two guys to rush off the waivers and go get tonight at good vibrations. well the buzz results gonna stop by the shop right now Ian Sinclair from mile high report final Twitter at the end Sinclair Ian good evening thanks so much for pop at all this is evening how are you. great guys about you guys were doing fantastic were a we're getting excited about this game you know one of the things I love about chatting with you guys from mile high report is we can kind of talk about a lot of topics surrounding the Broncos and and I'd love to know how fans are responding to von Miller's press conference yesterday because we we have what we think we have heard from other media members you know what the three for in the locker room the reaction to it but sometimes I don't really know how like how it's being perceived so the twelve second press conference that you had how how is that being received in your opinion. I think it's been welcome because I think it sends the message that Broncos fans want and that's. chop block and start delivering. and that's what fans of wanted for two years I think that's why you're seeing frustration I think it's frustration not just with the organization the players the coaches from office it's what the fans to when I think what one Miller did is what the fans want to buy a that's why it's so it's welcome made it at the time for talking is is all over now it's time to step up and and do what everyone has said that but now do it is there something to be said for seeing players being angry at losing. absolutely I I think it shows that they care it shows that they're passionate about it that they're not okay with it and I was clear with what blockers country I I and I'll always go back to this the reason the fans are so hard on the organization and move the whole reason that they demand so much is because Pat Bowlen did so the fans were just following in the shadow in the footsteps of Pat Bowlen who wanted this team to win a Superbowl every year and obviously that's not gonna happen it's it's not realistic but at least compete at least show you care and the fact that Bon Miller did that. is what fans. for soul star for I think is just. show that you're ticked off show that you just want to go out and just get it done finally however it happens just get it done so absolutely I think it it's what the fans want is what they need and if so I think it's what they want to see from the street we have a conversation though a moment ago about writing that line about being kind of gripping a little bit me a little too tight and then of course being a little bit too relaxed and and I don't know like like our our perception locker room today was a team that was definitely not gripping but there were there was some seriousness but there's also like kind of a Friday they're kind of have a little bit of fun so I mean what what what is that what is that need to be ultimately to find a winning formula in your opinion. I I think it's. you know I control it thank you you you don't want to you want to be like America on water and you come out you think that it's a hundred yard dash where for now. are you even get to the first mile of the twenty six miles so keeper control keep it tempered by you is that you and I hope they did that over the course of practice because one thing that stood out was me about Vic Fangio is the devil does quite interesting which obviously was going to be a factor because most thing that he first sat in his introductory news conference but. do that in practice use that energy use that emotion use all of that over the course of practice so that when it comes to the game you've done it you know how to do it now you're just. junior year if you basically calloused yourself the fact that chloride we've done this now we're gonna do it in a game so I think it's just make sure that you keep a controlled. and find a way for it to to finally benefit you because I didn't think the last thing that I would be worried about is gripping too tight I don't think they've grips tight enough the last two years. yeah I think that's a by product all the head coach if they had the time that was more interested in being kind of a you know buddy buddy with the players being a players coach he wasn't being a coach and I think we get the right coach now to maybe to maybe remedy that on the optimism meter aware of fans look at this game is this as this one or feel like the Denver Broncos gonna pull away get that first win. Adam and eyes open our podcast yeah and Adam was the one who static I'm just hoping that they get a sack and a turnover because if they go another game but another factor turnover I think the stadium might implode on it so it's like that it's like that game the bears game where Garrett kept getting called for holding and then they just called one on Ron Lee or even though it was on and the whole stadium X. hailed in kind of like you could hear the stadium exhale. that's absolutely yet I think it's. I I think they it it's it's hard optimism is cautious optimism that I I mean the Jaguars are coming in with the rookie quarterback even though it is the legend of Gartner men she won that mustache I think what I but it. they're playing at home and there's always something about plane at home and I think I think the rockets could use four mile high magic at this point so if there is any lapse this would be the time for it to come down and help the Broncos out. but I think you yeah I think there is I think it's cautious optimism is how I would describe how fans are feeling about this game obviously there are some who have just completely given up or they just want to go on fall dolphins tank mode. others are more cautiously optimistic that they realize. that I thought you say this Ryan that there is potential for them if they win this that they could win the next you intentionally be three in three out into the cheese cake and soul. I think it's because of optimism. I mean lines up for a team that I kind of agree in in this we're talking about the you are what your record is in and sure they aren't with three team but by some of the advanced metrics and even some of the ones that are just stats just straight up stats they're they're obviously performing better then would be say no when three Miami Dolphins team I mean with it that just doesn't seem like you can make those things all created equally some in three teams or clearly headed tore high draft picks and I think the Broncos don't feel like they are and so if it winds up you have Jacksonville got the Chargers on the road but we all kind of know what that soccer stadium situation is and then you're back come against Tennessee who looks like they're struggling at times so it feels like it could lineup now again the chiefs after that and then this the schedule does not get easy but if you're three and three and and your rolling a little bit let me ask you this if they do get there how does it how does it look on the offense and defensive side of the ball who's performing better at that point. I thank all human so I think you're finally doing what I think they're in a position to DO one Sunday and I play a complete football game they found ways to lose the first three games and there is some help from some all officiating there are some help from some breakdowns on defense against the bears that they offered to turnovers against the Packers but I think they're in a position to finally play a complete game and if you're able to do that if you're able to do that against the Jaguars fans you could potentially go on the road of build off of that then you come home any water champ Bailey and you want to Pat Bowlen. then you're starting to get in to the point now where now they're firing on all cylinders then you're going to do what she's game for no one's going to expect you to do anything anyway but you're now on a three game winning streak when the defensive coordinator who could potentially put forth my head coaching a defensive coordinator to put forth the game plan. where anything could potentially happen so I think. it's definitely there I think it all has to happen on Sunday though and that's for the I think they need to play complete football game and stop. doing these stupid mistakes that have held them back in the first three games. really well said Ian are you going to join us in one of these nights a buffalo wild wings come say hi. absolutely I will definitely do that I will this Monday night we have Cortland Sutton and then in two weeks we have dulled riser. I will try to be there on Monday that comes out was Minnesota to like build riser. yeah season I. you're right I heard you right uses you try to be able in as good good to catch up with the man thanks so much for the time. thank god my Ian Sinclair from mile high report that's been the instigator I ever be.
