What a way to kick off the second half of the Bears that big return and they go on to win it. 42 to 30. A lot of grip for the bears in this one that does defense. You're not happy giving up 30 points to, uh, an FCS team 467 total yards. Where Sacramento State the Bears rolled up 534. That's the most a bad in the game in a long time since Oregon State I believe some four years ago quickly recapping the stats here. Passing yardage to idiot for Cal 408 for sac State. The bears with 246 yards rushing. You're 59 for the Hornets total plays. Sacramento State had the edge 77 67 yards for play. It was eight for Cal, Uh, 6.1 for Sacramento State until late in the game. The Bears were nearly 10 yards per play. Time of possession. Very even 30 14% 68 29 31 for the Bears. Each team had one turnover. One interception apiece. No sacks in the game. "Do we have left? We got about a minute. Okay. James Webb Telescope has passed its final checks The Hubble replacement, the Hubble replacement, and it's going to soon be shipped through the Panama Canal down to Karura. I'd like you wanna Karoo. Excuse me is it's huge, Is it? Is it fillets? Massive. Oh, I haven't seen it with the mirrors unfurled. I've seen it with the mirrors folded up, but it is Massive. It's going to have a about a 21 Ft Wide Mirror, which is three times almost three times the diameter of the Hubble. And it will be working in infrared, so you can see much further because it can see through Hubble's mostly visible and ultraviolet wavelengths. So an infrared you can see past all the dust and the junk that's out in the deeper parts of the universe. And really start looking back at the very edge of the beginning of time, which is very promising, and it's gonna be parked what they call Earth Sun l two or the Grange to which is a stable point out beyond, uh, Earth's orbit, so it'll be in the Earth's shadow all the time. So between that and the natural cooling, it's got and the artificial quickly and Scott's got sunshades that could pop up hopefully Um, you'll be able to start really answering some of these very basic questions about the beginning of the universe. So exciting, so exciting.

John Cena and Lil Rel Howery Buddy Up In ‘Vacation Friends’

"Premiering this weekend on who lose seems to have been the result of agents and producers thinking that it would be great to have the likable John Cena and Little Real Howry team up. Um for buddy of a buddy comedy. It's a wild idea, but it just might work. But doesn't work is what I'm saying. Yeah, Yeah. Yeah, They forgot the comedy part anyway, and vacation friends Marcus and Emily. That would be Howry and Yerevan Orgy are a couple on vacation at the fancy Mexican resort hotel. He wants to propose to her there, even though her father and brother hate him. Emily's dad is a wealthy, dignified guy who thinks of Marcus is a crude construction worker unfit to be his son in law. Even if Marcus owns his own incredibly successful construction company, Emily's brother, just he's just a jerk. Any Who the hotel screws up the reservation in Mexico. So Marcus and Emily are screwed until another couple who have the biggest suite in the place offered to share. Now Ron, who was a swaggering, muscular forest ranger, played by Sienna, of course, and his did see girlfriend Kyla, played by MEREDITH Hagner are determined to help Marcus and Emily loosen up and have a good time like it or not, By the time vacation friends shifts focus from Mexico to a wedding party in Atlanta. "Kgo 8 10. Welcome back to Memorial Stadium in Berkeley. The Bears beating Oregon tonight, 21 to 17. And one of the things that jumps out at me is I may be wrong at this guy's, but those may have been the tooth. The first two forced fumbles of the year for 50 recovers two recovered fumbles. Yeah, There we go. How about that? And how about Nick or media tonight member? We talked about them, making him Maura part of this offense and getting him involved. Six catches tonight. 81 yards a touchdown, but along 28 so fantastic only four catches for nine yards and one touchdown before tonight. What are what? What a big game. This is for Cal to give us some sense of optimism again and trying to get past the horrors of the first few weeks because, as you say, it's the first time they've had a full line up, and now they're playing the way we thought they would, and only 271 yards of total offense for Cal. I mean that It jumps out at you. Obviously, defense played a huge part tonight. They made the 271 yards count tonight. No doubt about it. So Garber's on the night 183 yards, passing two touchdowns, No interceptions. That's a big deal. On overall, the pretty efficient performance. A lot of different guys got the ball they have. In fact, they had seven different people. Six different people who had running play tonight for Cal, so they spread it out pretty good. Get the ball control. What it did is it kept Oregon off the field that offense because they got two touchdowns in the final two minutes and eight seconds of the first half. They're capable of doing that. And so when you ball control like that, that's maybe maybe two. Possibly three other possessions they didn't get because we had the football on that one spanning the end of the first quarter in the second that 19 play nine minutes and 52 yard drive for a touchdown. I mean, that's two possessions there that Oregon did not get because the Bears possessed talk about ball control. For all those guys are like a ball control. Doesn't matter. The Bears had almost a whole quarter. Maurer with the ball tonight. They have 36 03 terms of possession to 23 57. That's almost 15 minutes. That's that's a lot of time right there. I mean, you made the point that you keep the offense of the other team off the field. They're explosive. They got athletes. They're going to find it eventually. But if you keep them off the field they can't and so defense did a great job and the offense did It's job in executing when they had to write Red Zone finishes were huge. Okay, Well, now we have no idea what we think We have coach right or go Good. Ready to go. All right coaches with us and isn't that a much nicer finish? Yeah, It feels good. You know, the Guys earned. It felt like just kind of for all that. I've been working through here recently. And even before I got to camp just, uh, really good feeling for them. I'm super proud of our team and all the people players, certainly, and then all the people that helped us get to this point, So it's a great win for the program and Think we're we're excited about continuing to improve building off of it. Coach. I know that it's college football. No matter who's on the field. They gotta earn a scholarship check. But you had the majority of the guys that you expected to be your starters coming into the game here tonight, Right? The offensive line comes back. Croteau comes back. Call Morris back. A lot of the faces that you expected to be part of that story group tonight how much of a difference of that make in terms of chemistry and attitude on the team. I think it always helps. But I got to say even in the last couple weeks, I thought the guys played well together. You know, we always want to play with a full deck. But I thought even the last couple weeks. The guys that were filling in did a great job and We think there's a big days ahead for those guys as well. But getting some of those veterans back. We've got a lot of experience and some of our better players, I think always helps. Nickel remedial was treated pretty much like a pin yada much tonight and still had an incredible night. He did, Niko. We You know, for the last couple weeks been trying to get him the ball and for whatever reason, it hasn't gone to him as much Just kind of by the look of the draw on some things, but he did a did a great job catching the ball it a huge, fourth down catch made Cem Really tough catches on, then had some really good returns. Unfortunately, we have one big return that got wiped out by a penalty. But Years. A guy, obviously that we Think really highly of him. We want to continue toe get him involved. Coaching. Oregon scored twice at the end of the first half in in a very short span of time. And maybe, you know, like two minutes and eight seconds, they got two touchdowns, but for the other 57 plus minutes of the game What was so successful? I mean, your defense gives up 17 points to a team averaging 38 points a game. Team defense all the way around. I think you look at the different guys making some big plays. You know, we try toe. As best we can make the other. The other team earned there earn their points. Unfortunately, at the end of the half their we gave him They got some really good players and good schemes s o way acknowledge that, but we felt like we kind of gave him a couple easy ones there and So I thought the guys really played hard to routes like that always have and we were able to. At the end of the game. The 2/4 quarter turnovers were Obviously a had a lot to do with outcome and again. Big plays has been a big story for this year. Obviously, for you guys a couple of big plays against you it Oregon State you don't get On your returns. Tonight. You guys were able to make enough big plays in response to make a difference. How did that happen? And how did that work out for you? Yeah, again. It's just a team effort, and we knew Still do that Organs, very talented team. Both sides of the ball and Way knew what we'd have to make our share in order to win. I think the again I think if you look defensively We gave up the two big ones We weigh just had bus flat out. But the finished the game with two turnovers in the fourth quarter. And then the offense take care of the ball like they did, And I also want to note just the offense. Driving the ball and I think the time of possession was discrepancy. There was pretty large, and that had a lot to do with our offense, doing a great job, driving it and then defensively, getting off the field on some third downs. You held it for 12 minutes and six seconds more than they did tonight. I mean, yeah, that is a fantastic differential. Certainly we want to score. We're going to continue to think we can even do better on finishing some of those drives. But it was great, but we had a couple drive in the first half of the one with 13 plays. The other woman was 19. Um You know, and guys just executing all the way down the field, running it and throwing it And that was great to see against a talented team like that..

"A president with your host, John Rothman on KGO Aten again, Sentiment of many feel a great load has been lifted. In fact, Audrey emails I feel like A load has been lifted from my shoulders. But she does say, I'm still very concerned about what Trump will do in the next two months. He's probably calling his all his buddies for advice. What do you think? Well, I think We're gonna have to watch how the president reacts, Remember? Ah, Presidents Power on Lee stops when they leave office. So even when you are President Ahn and you've lost the election. You remain president until January. 20th 12 noon. So we will be monitoring what Donald Trump does and how he does it. This comes from Marlin. I would like to say an important message of the world. Mr Trump. Stay back. Stand down. It's over. It's what it is. Move over for President elect Biden too. Again No to begin his good work so that that's that's what we're looking for now. Let me go to AA. To go to AA Clint calling from San Jose Clint, Welcome to KGO. John, You know how much I love you. And you said bluster and bluff fantastic old statement. That's old school, and you also said Fascinating as Sparks said, Dr Spark Not The one who is Dr Spark, but from Star Trek, Mr Spot. Go ahead. Yes. So I just opened Are you there? Yeah. You gotta talk. Go ahead. Yeah, I opened So there's more The balance. And not falling over. I just opened a fortune cookie. There's more to balance. I'm not falling over. And that's what we have to do is a human beings. And sing the came Thank God for her. And her husband because she sent something. On Twitter. They said, Thank God that you have to know that the McCains endorsed Biden on and she did so recognizing that relationship We will play in a few minutes the words of John McCain when he considered when he conceded to, uh, his defeat to Barack Obama very anxious to hear that again because it sets an example. And at this very moment, Brandon is putting that together for us of the concession that John McCain did. I want to play that as an example of what a concession speech should be. Now let's get back to your calls again. I'm doing it in the order in which you called, So let me go to bill calling from Lake Isabella. Bill. Welcome to KGO. John greeting, and I want to say that you know, I didn't want to jinx it. I was kind of I don't want to celebrate until today, but I'm celebrating right now. Um, I remember talking to you a few weeks ago about What this whole election was about. It was about getting rid of that. I mean, there's a pandemic all the issues, but this was about Donald Trump. And I think that you were staying at all so okay. Now we could go. You said that you were confident. You know you had you had faith. That wasn't what I didn't. I'll be honest with you. I didn't I was worried about a week ago. But, man you I swear to God, I had said the difficulty year this cove It has pretty much wiped out my income, basically what I do. I was diagnosed with cancer. About six months ago, and I'm in treatment for cancer. Right now. My investments have gone to the toilet this year. Might might. You know, I'm gonna be 52 on Thursday. Um, this has been the worst year of my life, John. But After what happened this week and to hear Joe Biden The that was unbelievable. T think that People on the right like limbo and think that he's that that was a speech that was one of the most inspirational speeches I've ever heard in my life. I agree. And remember, you talk about all the issues that you're faced. Joe Biden lost his wife and his infant daughter. Both son severely injured. Lost his son to brain cancer. Nearly died himself of an aneurysm, and it just proves no matter what adversity we may face, we can fight back. We can Triumph. And when you consider and nobody really has mentioned this, it was 48 years ago today, 48 years ago today That Joe Biden was elected to the Senate. And here. And don't forget that he also ran three times for president failed. He was vice president for eight years. He's in his late seventies easily could have said You know what? I've done my duty. I mean, I'm going to call it a career. No, even at this late stage of his life, Okay. He got out there. He felt that he needed to save this country from what we were facing. I mean, what an inspiration. That man is mean People wi I I don't. I mean, we were talking about Trump so much, but I think it's Joe Biden. He won this race. It wasn't I don't think people voted against Trump. I think people voted for Joe. I really do. I hope so. He is the president and I want to wish you bill every success and I'm going to make a date with you for right now in four years. Four years from now, you and I are going to talk and God willing, you'll be well I'll be well in the country will be in better shape. Okay. I want to play for you. Because Pat Thurston mentioned it. We planned to do it. What happened when John McCain was defeated for the presidency? His concession..

"Let me go to AA rich calling from Santa Rosa Rich. Welcome to kgo. John. How you doing? I couldn't be better. Thank you for asking. I love it. You show is just great. Am I had a couple of things, but the first one I want to say is that is there a hidden trump supporters? Probably not. It sure seems like most of them are out and about and There's certainly willing to show their their color. You know, the Red Hat's Marches all over the place. I've seen them all around. And so I don't think there's many hidden voters at this stage. The other thing is the ones that were supposedly hitting, you know, is Paul ratings have gone up. And so they've already shown themselves. So I I think they're pretty much all out there now. Andi. They're they're pretty bold summer overly aggressive. Um, However, the other thing, too, is that it? No matter what happens in this election. One thing I I conceived for sure is we're going to continue tohave. Ah, lot of divide. Over things that come up. A lot of conspiracies are still going to show up. That aren't true, because that's just the way it's been, and I would say after about two years of Biden being president that They'll start to read to go back down. Now they'll start to go away. But I don't think it can happen right away. Well, we'll see. I mean, one of the things we'll be looking for. I appreciate your call One emails I'm apiece tonight. I think for the next we can have. This is what the election old for the country one. As you often say, meaning me our system is strong enough to withstand even another trump term. Citizens on all sides or galvanized as never before. They're receiving constitutional and electoral crash course due to the gravity of the current national issues. That's positive. I agree, too. Says war and this has been a remarkably stable raise for many months, though. Seeing that way. There has been about 20 to 25% chance that Donald Trump could win due to the vagaries of the electoral college and even greater chance that it's closer from a popular vote indicates a number three. Even if Trump wins, there's a large story unfolding in the bright, long term fortunes of the Democratic Party in the form of national Senate races as well with state legislators and governorships transitioning blue There's a robustness to our overall political scene. That said, Everybody should be communicating with other citizens and lending their strength to get out the vote. It's our very identity is a constitutional democracy. That is at stake, Warren I couldn't agree with your points more. Absolutely right. Let me tell you the fact that we have as many people Who have voted already. 40 million people, maybe 50 million. It's astounding. 41580808 Tim. You know, we've got to take a break. And of course, when we take a break, I have an opportunity.
