NYC Diner Owner Files Lawsuit, Refuses to Comply With De Blasio's Vaccine Passports

"Kellogg's diner in Brooklyn, New York is legendary and the owner of Kellogg's diner has decided enough is enough actually she's been pushing back for a while over these insane mandates and leaders elected officials telling people how to live their lives under the guise of welcome on our guest line. Irene syndrome is hiring boy oh boy, you are up against it. You decided to sue Bill de Blasio. You talk about mister smith going to Washington. How about Irene taking on the mayor of New York? I have to. I need to feed my children, Mike. I have to do what I can do to protect my family. You're a single mom of four children and these crazy mandates and restrictions that have put restaurants in the New York City area through such agony. And I've watched it. I witnessed it last winter. I couldn't believe it with people trying to put tense out in the streets with karashi heaters. This whole thing has been a nightmare. So walk us through your story, Irene and tell us why you're challenging New York and tell us how these requirements have impacted Kellogg's diner in Brooklyn. So I first want to let everybody know that I'm not against of this vaccine or any vaccine that can save lives. But I don't want to be forced to take this vaccine or force anybody to take a vaccine. They don't want to put in their body. Now, these mandates, like you asked me, what have they done to me? The first man dates there was no protection put on us. So once these lockdowns were taken off. We started getting suit because we defaulted in our contracts. We couldn't afford all these big rents that we had or these mortgages that we had because we had no business. We were only doing delivery and takeout. We weren't doing the volume that we normally do on without a pandemic happening. Nowhere near it. We're even close to that. All we could afford at the time was food bills and payroll, and if so, like, it was horrendous. I didn't have the option to put tables outside. Very little. I had a little driveway. You know, I'm on top of a train station. I'm on a corner that is so dangerous and intersection. So I didn't even have that option that others also had to even, you know, do some business outside. Right. Everything was just take out and delivery for me. It was very difficult. I now face 1.4 judgment. Against

You Can't Worship God if You Don't Stand up for the Voiceless

"I'm talking to our friend John Smith John. The biggest part of what we're going through as a country right now. And you were talking about it is that it's very difficult for us, Americans, naive, happy Americans, to think that this kind of evil is happening in our time that we have governors who don't just grope women, but send elderly people to their deaths. We find it hard to believe that we have somebody like Doctor Fauci doing things that end up rising to the level of evil, not just malpractice, but evil. He has great power, like Robert Moses had in New York. It's frightening. And we need to help wake each other up. Does the reality? And if you don't fight folks, if you do not fight these tip this one out, it's on you. I want to be very clear. The bonhoeffer book gives us a warning of what happens when people of faith in particular say, I'm not ready to fight yet. I'm just interested in worshiping God. You can't worship God if you don't stand up for the voiceless when they're being attacked. So when we see this kind of gross monstrous evil, governors like Cuomo murdering thousands of people in nursing homes. Scientists, bureaucrats, like Fauci, evading U.S. law in order to produce a deadly virus which the Chinese government then unleashed on the world while locking China down. Purposely flying people to dozens of different countries while preventing Chinese from traveling. Once the disease was out. When you see that most of the governments in the world with a few exceptions and Scandinavia are using COVID as a pretext to override all constitutional freedoms to install what we can only call a public health dictatorship to use vaccine passports to politically purge police forces and the military. What a great way to get faithful Christians out of the military out of the police where they could maybe make a difference in a dangerous time. Then by making them take a vaccine made from aborted babies or tested on aborted babies. Wow, what a great way to cleanse the armed forces to cleanse the police forces of any decent freedom loving

Lorie Loves All Things Creative but Colorado Wants to Censor Her

"There is a case in other case in Colorado and it raises an interesting question. Our Colorado courts, particularly goofy or is it just a coincidence? Well, a few months ago, the tenth circuit Court of Appeals ruled that Colorado officials could force a website designer to create custom website celebrating your viewers that goes against her biblical beliefs. Lori Smith is a website designer and she wants to create website celebrating the biblical view of marriage that is between one man and one woman. But if she does so, Colorado would punish her if she declined to create website celebrating a different view of marriage. And so unlike she looked around, she saw what the state was doing to Jack Phillips and she didn't want to be punished before she found out her constitutional rights. If she sued, and three months ago, the tenth circuit Court of Appeals said she could be punished for exercising her First Amendment right now to express a message that goes against her core beliefs. I'm quiet because I'm actually assimilating what you're saying. So according to the courts in Colorado, a person has to actively celebrate, for example, same sex marriage if they believe, even if they believe that religion demands that marriage be between a man and a woman. Do I have that correctly? That's what the ten circuit recently held that if Laurie Smith creates custom websites celebrating biblical marriage, the state would force her to also create custom websites celebrating differences, including same sex marriage.

"It was something that kind of just happened. I it at first it was deliberate. Like i kind of knew that if i run i would lose weight and it didn't take very for the running to become more important than the losing weight it did but one of the effects of being in the public i guess is the everyone can kind of see what you're doing on weight loss was one of those things that everyone could kind of see so hot this attention around me about the loss weight fruit running and everybody wanted me to kind of tell my story and i was really reluctant to do so forever because for me it was just the way i'd changed my life and it was a way that i was kind of living my life and i didn't want to be the guy to preach about. Why don and all this kind of stuff. But it got to a point where i'd kind of sat down saddam. We've been actually ben price. My may and said. Is there a way that i can take control of this situation because if not the story just being told follow me and i didn't like it when the newspaper would run a story and they would basically makeup Wouldn't be true because almost felt a responsibility for someone else who was in my position to help them out. So i kind of sets a ben. Do you think. I've i've got to make a film like i filmed a little bit along. Long journey is so. I went and spoke to a direct call. Tim royal who actually is one of the directors car. He works on madeline casualty as well. So he's a very talented man. And i knew that he made documentaries new. That's what his passion was. And i said this is what. I wanna do on the reason i want to do. It is touted Now donor if i'm ever going to show it to anyone because there's not much anxiety making for me. I just feel like. I want to see it myself to go. Fat play colson. "Yeah, so a lot of my life at the time was the debate team. We travelled constantly we were doing research at all hours. We all lived together in the same dorms. So we were just in a crack in it group and to really powerful things came out of that experience one. I had some coaches who were just a little bit different than Liberty both theologically and politically and gave me books to read and help me ask different questions and were probably the first people to introduce me to some different ways of doing Church other than very low Church Evangelical kind of stuff. And so that was exciting and different and they first handed me James K Smith books that I you know grew to really love so I can credit them for that. Yeah. Are there are there any specific ones? Of his books. Yeah, the first one Desiring the kingdom was the first one that they handed me and I actually I found it recently because there's a class at DTS that we read it and I was greeting class and the Prof asked me to to leave the discussion on the book and I got to the last page. I was flipping through it and I had written in the back like before I even was that DTS before I decided any of this stuff. I had written the back. I think I want to learn how to think like this like, whatever could get me to learn how to talk and think like as I want to do and now I look back and I go well that's part of what led me to Seminary. But the first time I read that book, I just thought I don't offer this guy's talking about but I like it and I want to learn how to think like that man. I love that. I haven't read that one, but I need to so I will oh, it's great. I'll put it in the show notes friends. You can pick it up. Okay? Okay. So that was the first thing sorry. I interrupted you the second thing was yeah. The second thing was I was really successful when I first started on the debate team. I just had all of them. Things that made you naturally pretty good at it. I could talk really fast. I did a lot of research a lot of the arguments were intuitive to me and kind of was set up to be really successful like I started as a freshman but by the time I was a senior it was like kind of expected I would be really good and because of a whole set of circumstances by the time I was a senior that didn't happen and I spent that whole year kind of failing over and over again and and really feeling the weight of other people's expectations be changed, you know, all these people who said by the time, you know, I met you when you were a freshman I I would have expected, you know, you did this place and you're not well and it was it was weekend after weekend of just failing and it was awful and it was really awful for someone like me who it doesn't sound that awful but it was down here so much. I care too much. I recognize about being successful and it was painful. But now I look back by the end of that year. I'm really thankful that I had this Thursday. I was holding so tightly taken away from me because it forced me to recognize what an idol had become in my life how desperately I tried to hold on to it and how painful it was to lose it and I can also just helped me recognize that God could use those kinds of experiences and I think made me a little more open to having that happen..

He's is faster and you'll be done with it sooner. So you've done a lie running to or is it the climbing that gave you the endurance probably running I haven't ran I've only ran like I dunno, not that much lately. Is, injury but when I do Ryan I think the first time I ran after lake not running for like four months I. I think I did like four miles. So I was like I was like, yes, still got it. To, definitely the running. Climbing is more for me. It takes more strings which. String. That's really hard. Do you have a history of competing and running though like in school and stuff? Yeah. "Okay he saved he saves the really really great stuff for the for the pay on the the paid for tutorials but <hes> but the basic stuff that he gives you is very solid and i'm going to be using a lot of that. As foundational things not not the videos themselves but just my interpretation reputation of of stuff that i learned from him <hes> because it's very very comprehensive and the nice thing is that he will take his time explaining explain everything and he'll play multiple times vacc- you can actually hear the differences in what he's doing which a lot of people won't a lot of people's okay. Here's how you do it. Leads leads a small little thing on your dog. You can't see what the screen is doing and and and you know maybe titles tell you what's going on and maybe not just the the name of the video supposed to clue you in his what's going on. It's like i have no idea what you doing. I don't know you you might want to explain this <music>. There's one piece of software that <hes> that have got for generating basically basically working on a classical arrangements and i'm just starting to play with that and it was kind of pricey but i got an on sale okay great. Let's take a look at this. This looks like really really cool stuff and the instructional videos explain a few of the functions and then say things like okay. Hey this is generated based on question and answer. What do you mean by question and answer in this context and i've been searching searching the manual. I've been searching videos. I have no idea what this is generating a musical phrase based on question and answer or just on answer or i'm question what yeah i hope. They have a good forum somewhere but anyway now you see here now. We're babbling about sex stuff but it is fun. Yeah it is it is once you get into it. If you like with our music. If you enjoy it you can really dig in deep and have a good time with it is very artistic and creative as long as you get that informational basis yup found and i apologize because you wanted to cut. This short probably going longer than you want to happen. I mean this is. It's you so you put us together in a room. We're going to talk for a while and does your very nine next thing. You know you lose an hour. It just happens with now. I do want to tell everybody listing who stuck through this whole podcast commend who to just yeah. I mean make sure tom smith gets to dragon. Con go check out his website in within the next week and he should have some new music up there erin by it all right now already got like twenty albums up there. Oh we don't have it. I just assume most people listening to this probably have all your stuff but if if they don't yeah i mean i noticed you had a collection of all of your stuff in one download that that's a band camp function. It's a very nice one. Yeah okay it basically youths thirty-five percent discount on the the set price for everything there. It's like click that and i think it's what i eight or nine concerts shirts and whole bunch of single tracks that haven't been putting on yet and albums and albums and albums so the best way to help tom. You know wait a week. Gets all the stuff up up and then by everything that's that's what i'm asking yeah do that. That's an and if you go to my patriot which is a patriot dot patriots dot com slash super. Tom and you sign up there than you'll get only new music ahead of everybody else. That's true <hes> yeah. You said you told me before we were talking before before the podcast that you <hes> that that that song that we listened to before we went on patriot i right as a matter of fact i got. I haven't yet uploaded the band camp. That's a bed and breakfast so yes so wow so we kinda got an exclusive post patriotic that giving you sensitive content here on the android podcast. Yes everything is okay well. Thanks very much for spending some time and talking about stuff and sorry about <hes> how your last few months have gone but i'm confident that everything everything will come together and we'll see a dragon. The next world remind all god's as long as no extra charge if we can get injured veep we're here for you. They all also <music> offer void and get a mandolin in here. It's great you just do do any damn thing with it but <hes> but yeah i've been doing for a few years the kind of panel final that you do which is to say a beginner getting into creating music and recording panel i think i think the biggest difference between the two of us is that i've been trying to focus on people who know nothing gotcha a recording okay and because i i i i attended several panels not any yours at this point okay i. I attended a couple of years along the way in annual good stuff in there but there were some where it's like okay. We're going to tell you how to get into recording and by the time it's done okay you know by the time it's halfway done. It was breaking down into a microphone wars. There's and software wars. It's like no no you gotta have gotta have this particular. You know sure thirty nine. No no no you gotta have this p._d. And it's like the beginners eyes are glazing liaising over. It's not helpful. It's not helpful when you get in a year words on that say here. Here's what a cord is yeah. Here's what a musical physical style is here. Here's some software to try and here do this with it. You know you all need audacity download <unk> download that i kind of tried to approach it more with the knowledge about how to do things and i i try to emphasize that you can use a really low quality computer mike and somebody else who doesn't know what they're doing could use a really high quality ten thousand dollar microphone and years duffle surround better. If you know what you're doing engineering absolute and that's that's what people tend to not understand at first but then you have the truth. The gear or is less important than understanding how to use it <hes> exactly now now. It's these days with presets in the quality of software. It's less less of a thing than it used to be. <hes> people can make stuff sound pretty decent without much knowledge because okay vocal okay open the vocal preset on their the effects us come on and it'll sound okay but yeah but it's it's. It's still nice to have. The foundation of knowledge says actually doing yeah yeah. I mean got it. I'm a big fan of the y. You know. You can't really understand what how to make a decision about these things. If you don't understand why it works the way it does and once you do that brings you the good stuff so yeah totally understand so this is a thompson music machines. You can find it on facebook. Yeah excellent excellent yet definitely not 'cause <hes> believe me. There is no such things one resource to learn everything music that sounded as as as a matter of fact. I will recommend one of the best ones that i use okay is the recording revolution dot com okay now. The thing is <hes> the guy who does that. <hes> he has a program on mixing and he has programming recording. He's got a lot of stuff that he sells or tries to so and if you sign up you'll get about four or five emails will be trying to sell you stuff yeah but he's got a lot of free stuff. He's got a lot of free articles on a lot of free videos especially lots of things on youtube but youtube channel which will give you solid practical advice on beginning to intermediate.

"<hes>. I guess we heard one of your new songs. Can i throw in a a one of your classic songs from your show last year. Drank sure sneak win me getting there okay now now. This is one. I particularly like <hes> me. This is my taste so i'm totally just you know it's my podcast. I can get away with it in the alternate universe lost and found is i think that's the title right yet is the title okay and i just <hes> yeah. That always makes me laugh and it's it's. It's kind of <hes> i. I don't know if it's a commercial free <hes> commercial service or a p._s._a. Roy <unk> on non non commercials but it seemed a thing yeah the the more the song goes on the more. It's just kind of like oh my gosh yes i and that why have i not thought of this before kind of way i will i will point out something at this point all right and and this is maybe <hes> sticking sticking something on people's noses that they don't necessarily have to have one of the things that both of us talk about when we're doing our our panels on getting people into recording music is that there are gear wars all over the place. You know it's like okay. Do we a us reaper. Do we use logic brody. We use this microphone to use that studio monitor speakers we use this this that that did and it doesn't matter because the listener at the end doesn't care what year you use as long as it sounds good yeah now. It happens that this song this recording that you've got a a this this is from the life show last year <hes> from the sunday show last year. Yes the sunday show yeah. I was gonna say it's i. I think it sounds pretty good. Okay the studio recording of this also sounds pretty good but if you compare it with the mortar bed-and-breakfast recording which is from this this year all right. I've learned a bit in the last thirteen years and my mixes or solid and you can tell that and there's a couple of things in in the past. I love to go back and a remix. I gotta find the files and see if i can but it's just like if anybody out there is inspired to try recording and everything if you've been <hes> listening to andrew talk about getting into recording if you've been checking out his panels dimensions even checking on my panels practice does make perfect at least at least it improves it heavily. I am such a better engineer than i was when i first started doing this twenty three years ago. It's it's it's not even funny. It's it's i mean there's experience with knowing how to do something or tricks to make something sound a certain way but i think a lot of it the major a percentage of it is training your ear being able to hear the subtle differences between a and b it takes time you can't when you first started and you try doing very subtle effects on things and you can't tell the difference i mean you have to do it in a serious major way to be able to tell l. and then you just say well. I hope the subtle thing is good too but later it's <hes> i mean gradually your ear starts to be able to hear these very slight changes changes with just raising frequency by one point five decibels which must be something like that and it's also few learn along the way e you so you can be taught the stuff but it's it's going by feel a lot of the earliest oh yeah and the other thing that i think people have trouble figuring during out is that <hes> there is no wrong here. Absolutely.

"Yeah. I'm u s poet laureate. Tracy k Smith, and this is the slowdown. If I had to I'd say that the questions driving me as a poet, then possibly even as a person are these who. And what are we what fast mysterious system? Do we belong to? And why do we do the things we do to one another? I don't imagine. My questions are in any way unique. I suspect people have been asking some version of them since well since people began. It's not that. I'm so eager to know. What I am. And why I'm here though, that does intrigue me what fascinates me more has to do with the people. I love the ones who were once here and now are gone. Where have they gone? My mind persists in asking. As for the ones, I love who are here living breathing growing and even fighting their way through day after day. I struggled to imagine what brought them here. And why and how it is that our lives have managed to intersect one another one slight change of direction even just a dozen years ago, and whose husband or partner would my husband now be and what our children have found their way to earth through some other human mother, or would they have taken on an altogether different form. It's a puzzle that won't consent to being solved. Even when I land on something that seems to make sense. The matter won't stay resolved for long as if understanding is itself a barrier to the kind of certainty. I'm after. Of course, whatever we think we know about ourselves may have no bearing upon what the universe knows about itself. And who knows maybe the universe or whatever might exist beyond it understands as little of us as we do of it. Today's poem is walking home by poet, j Udal of tiptoe, Louisiana. I respond to the ease. Even the pleasure. The poem speaker takes with these great mysteries. The poem even seems to find satisfaction in the broad spectrum of possibilities that our lives on earth represent be they bright or Blake. Walking home by j Udal. I walked as if I went alone a world unto myself, a globe balanced onto strange sticks. But with each step the steady seeming earth held my dreaming weight and carried me along. With each unmindful breath air came to greet, my grateful lungs, and fed the blood that fed my brain without a plan without a thought. The sun escorted me as if he'd summoned these is into site lighting and warming the way waiting patiently whenever the breathing trees bathed me in their shade. And while I slept gravity. Kept me safe in my place among the other animals, eating one another. I knew the earthquake would come along with the flood hurricane drought tornado soon. Nami wayward meteor and then the hot finale with that waiting star still I loved the uncertain floor this house whose walls we've never found.
