"News talk 11, 30 W Y ES and Mark Belling late afternoon show. A couple of Crime related stories, both from Southeastern Wisconsin. There's another one of those stories where Woman is claiming that she was sexually assaulted by a driver for a ride sharing service. In this case, there are no criminal charges against the drivers, the 43 year old driver for lift According to the criminal complaint. A woman who after a night of drinking Was down in the old World Third Street area. And she arranged for Right and left. Said a vehicle pulled up and it had The icons in the window for both uber and lift and a lot of drivers drive for both, and they simply Okay, I get in order from one. I get an order from the other. I'll take this call. I'll take that call. You'll see a lot of those cars, especially right now, with so few driving that are driving for both services. So she got into the vehicle. She alleges she was sexually assaulted by the driver. The driver said. The woman got into the vehicle and he doesn't believe that she was his fair that she simply got into the wrong car. She was disoriented. She didn't know where she was, and she was offering to have sex with him. Quoting the story on Js on mine, She remembered the driver, stopping at a gas station and driving to a motel asking for her credit card to pay and then on Lee being in the shower and the bed with The accused driver whose name is Omar Jamal. Until she let him drive her home to the East side around 10 o'clock the next morning, Jamal story is completely different. He told police. He stopped near the woman to ask if she had ordered a ride, and she just got in the car and gave a different address than the one that was on his order. He told police she took him to just K. She told him to just cancel that order and suggest that that they go on to have sex city began looking for a motel. So you have a he said. She said allegation and it brought us again. Attention to the whole concern that's existed from the beginning with regard to uber and left is that you have strangers who don't know what another and one person's getting into another person's car. While there are protections in place, given that Uber and lift. Know who the writer is it who the driver is. What about all of these gray areas where somebody gets into a vehicle, and it wasn't necessarily the correct one. I could tell you that any number of times I've arranged for one of these rides. Now your phone does say, okay, The guy's got a Toyota Camry or gray civic or whatever. And then you see his picture right there, and so on. But imagine if you're drunk out of your mind. Which becomes the whole problem here for somebody who makes a false accusation and also somebody who was actually assaulted. All said, we wait. We have had cabbies for years, and some people were concerned about the whole cab system. And getting in there. The difference for me always was that the cab drivers were licensed by the city and had everything to lose. But anybody could be a number or lift fiber, and we have no limit on the license. You see. In the old days, Milwaukee They're only a few 100 cab licenses and they were capped and They were selling for $150,000 a pop and The cab driver who let somebody else drive the car would have some control at it. But anybody you me and anybody else could pretty much be able to drive for lift. I mean, it means if you're driving, you are potentially the victim of a false accusation. And if you're a writer, you potentially getting into a car with a pervert. And a rapist. As they say, there is a check on this in that. If you get into the car that you actually arranged to get in, there's proof that you were the one that did it, But Most of the allegations that we've heard on this deal with people who either got into the wrong car of someone presented themselves as a driver. When They were not this story, and Walker Shaw this we got a fair amount of coverage a few months ago. The carriages and walk a shark Cockney are being dropped because the prosecutor, the D. A Su operative Walker shot, Connie says she doesn't think she can prove them. It deals with the case of a 27 year old woman who said that she was being farmed out for sex pimped out by her husband. Criminal charges developed when she told her father That he was sexually abusing her repeatedly and was re forcing her to have sex with other men. The man in the case was charged with various charges pertaining to sexual assault, human trafficking and so on. The Walker Shaw County D. A is now dropping the charges with Sue Opera, saying They can't prove the case. What I have been told by sources is is that the woman is no longer cooperating that the alleged victim, the wife, Is the longer cooperating, which would mean you haven't almost impossible time. Trying to prove anything. If the person who is the supposed victim is now saying that it isn't Happening, given the fact that the charges are dropped, and I could have reveal any names in here, But it's another one of these problems that people have cited forever and the whole area of human trafficking that Even if you catch the person who is the supposed trafficker? The woman often is terrified of cooperating for fear that she's going to be killed and in this case Is a marital relationship in place and again. It's also possible she made the whole story up in the first place. When talking to her father Don't know the answer. We come back after the break, I'm going to offer you Are you my thoughts and whether or not the Brooklyn Nets have now made a trade that makes them not only the best team in the NBA, a East.

"Handle on the news. Jennifer Jones Lee, Mo in for Wayne today and me Well, AstraZeneca, even though it's had that setback of a woman who had an Illness after she got the Corona virus vaccine during a phase three trial. AstraZeneca says it still should know by the end of the year. Whether this vaccine works way also know we found out that the woman is from the U. K. She's got a rare neurological disorder and they're figuring out right now whether it was connected. Yeah, if it's not one out of tens of thousands mean thousands are have either been given the placebo or the vaccine, and she is one and it's rare. They can't even say whether she had this prior to know From what I understand. That's typical. Yes, because they're so careful that indicates, ah, actually is felt. She said that you have to look at this as a positive that they that they stopped giving the Ah stop giving the medication. The vaccine. Sending finding out so they're saying before the end of the year, all they have to do is announce one day before or one day after theologian. Actually, that's not true several days because one day is doesn't change much Eso Also, we keep on talking about the election. The reality is, most people are doing mail in ballots anyway. Exactly and so many people, huge percentage have already voted or will vote way before the election. Bill. I have some good news. Remember how Halloween was cancelled? Well, now it's un cancelled..

"Does. Cavenaugh, have you taken a professionally administered polygraph test? I've not heard you answer. Very specific question that's been asked. Which is, are you willing to ask the White House to? Conduct, an investigation by the FBI to get to whatever you believe is the bottom of the allegations that have been levied against you. Do you agree that it is possible for men to both be friends with some women? And treat other women badly, this was this was touted by the media as an extraordinary showing by camel herds by the way that wasn't even the worst thing she did during the Komo during the camera hearings. The worst thing she did during me cavenaugh hearings, is she some she threw out a bizarre theory that Brett Cavanaugh was working with a law firm called Kasowitz that was also working with the trump administration against the Muller investigation, and so somehow for some unnamed reason cavanaugh was. Was, obstructing the Muller investigation or saying she kind of threw this out there. It created a bevy of headlines and then she never followed up on it because that's what she does. That's what she does. She uses anything at hand in order to harm political opposition. No matter how dishonestly she has to be no. No matter how she has to be here. She was going after Brett Cavenaugh for some weird theory about him sharing a law firm with members of the trump administration. Have you discussed muller or his investigation with anyone at Kasowitz Benson Torres, the law firm. Marc, KASOWITZ president trump's personal lawyer. Be sure about your answer user person. You're talking I'm asking you a very direct question. Yes or no. Who'd you talk to you? Have it couple memory? You've been speaking for almost eight hours. I think more with this committee about all sorts of things you remember, how can you not remember whether or not? You had a conversation? About, Robert Muller or his investigation with anyone at that law firm, she literally never explained what the Hell Shimon Peres at all this made huge headlines at the time, she was going to uncover be careful of your answer. Sir Hugh. She was gonNA uncover the conspiracy. She was going to uncover conspiracy whereby Brett Cavanaugh was somehow conferring behind closed doors with a law firm that was representing trump in the like. Like nothing ever came of this because she's a bad human being. Okay. When you throw out allegations like this in open in open, questioning of a supreme court nominee with no support whatsoever, and then you just kind of like it just disappeared into the ether. It is amazing. Amazing that this person is considered a credible politician on the national stage, none of this by the way, even touches for political radicalism. Some of a lot of this goes to character. She's an authoritarian by nature. She's an opportunist by nature and she's willing to say or do anything to get ahead. Okay. That is perfectly obvious throughout her career. As somebody from California, she did my senator for quite a while she was my ag cases. This is somebody who's willing to. To. Pursue any policy that she thinks is going to bring her power K, which brings us to what she would actually do with the power. Her actual views on a variety of issues are extraordinarily radical. She's no pragmatic moderate. She's nowhere near the middle of the political spectrum. She's extensively radical extraordinarily radical. I. Don't know if you remember this one, she's she's extremely anti-catholic. Distinct writing national view reminds reminds everybody in late two, thousand eighteen while evaluating the nomination Brian Booster to serve as a district judge in Nebraska Harris posed a series of questions insinuating that his involvement in the knights of Columbus, a charitable Catholic, fraternal organization disqualified him from serving on the bench. One for written questions was since nineteen ninety-three, you've been a member of the knights of Columbus an all male society comprised primarily of Catholic men in two thousand, Sixteen Carl Anderson. Leader of the Knights of Columbus described abortion as illegal regime. Has resulted in more than forty million debts. Anderson. Went on to say abortion is killing of the innocent on a mass scale. Were you aware the knights of Columbus opposed woman's right to choose when he joined the organization. She then went onto to Bush whether he was aware the knights of Columbus. Oppose marriage equality when he joined or whether he had ever in any way, assist with or contributed to advocacy against women's reproductive rights. That's a Catholic, the knights of Columbus, a Catholic group with millions of members. It's an important charity. And she was basically saying that because you're a Catholic, you shouldn't be on the bench. because. That's who Kamala Harris is. Comma Harris is the same person who filed an amicus brief in hobby lobby arguing that religious practice should basically be relegated to the home. In. Her amicus brief terrence Jeffries pointed this out of the time. She argued quote rights to the free exercise of religious beliefs whether created by statute or by the Constitution likewise protected development and expression of an inner sanctum of personal religious faith. Free exercise rights have thus also been understood is a personal as personal, relating only to individual believers and to eliminate class of associations comprising a representing them. There is no tradition of recognizing or accommodating the exercise of such inherently personal rights by ordinary for profit business corporations. In other words. If you operate in the business fear, we are going to completely override your religious rights. That is the legal regime that Kamala Harris. She says. It would be better to keep the free exercise of religion within the boundaries of religious institutions. Says, the term religion itself Connotes Community of Believers Religious Organizations Act as critical buffers between the individual and the power of the state giving individuals, a space, which to in which to exercise faith without state intrusion. In, other words, maybe she'll make an exception for some of the for some of the religious organizations don't count on again, do not count on it. She. She is not going to allow religious believers to operate their businesses in accordance with their actual religious scruples. It's not just that on abortion. She's extraordinarily radical extremely radical. In fact, she had a proposal modelled on the voting rights act of nineteen, sixty five that would require any state with a history of passing laws restricting abortion access to get clearance pre clearance from the Justice Department. So Comma Harris would force the state of Alabama to run any law that affects abortion by Kamla Harrison, DOJ before passing the law. which violates all precept federalism like federalism. It's pretty incredible so that she by the way she is so radical on abortion that she voted. She voted against. She's one of many Democrats in fact, every Democratic presidential candidate to vote against the born alive infant protection act. That's an act. Those specifically designed to prevent infanticide. K. She voted against that. It's it's pretty amazing Ben. Sasse. Was the chief sponsor. He said I WANNA ask each and every one of my colleagues whether or not. We're okay with infanticide. He said this about the most simple thing. You can say which that a baby is a baby and they have dignity and worth. It's not because they're powerful because their babies. Today's a sad day in the United States. Didn't matter Kamala Harris voted against it because she's a radical on abortion just happens to be radical and immigration in an open hearing. "Married. Did that affect your relationship with your mom. Oh absolutely I think that what happened was it just became a competition in a moment. Treating you like a boyfriend I guess on. Oh Harverson got angry when you went anyway. Something had been broken and maybe more than what happened with Colby. Charles had become an issue for Laurie to Charles had been a Catholic married. Laurie converted to Mormonism for her embraced. To Faith. Attended their local church enthusiastically. So what was the problem Lori said April seemed to have decided? She was growing spiritually becoming superior. Charles he wasn't that strong dynamic spiritual leader that I think she wanted him to be. She didn't feel like they were on the same spiritual level and how she had this tremendous longing to be with a partner that was at her same level of spiritual understanding. It was quite soon after that Lori broke. The bad news. To April family was moving back to Arizona. I was disappointed understood. You know I mean quiet is not for everyone so it didn't surprise me. I was very disappointed but it didn't surprise me. Then Betty Bunch later early February two thousand nineteen April a strange phone call from Lori. Chase said that she had just landed on Qui- she was leaving and she asked if she could stay with me. And what did you think when you got that call? I thought they're having a fight. She's just. It's GonNa blow over with the Laurie. Who came knocking. April's door daughter Tyler. Leeann tobe no. Jj seem almost like a woman transformed. She was very different. She seemed very disorganized in very little manic. Yeah definitely saying that Charleston had an affair and she was leaving him and it just kind of didn't sit very well with me because Charles was a friend of mine to for whatever reason make like he was being portrayed as a villain in my opinion he wasn't Lori was the one who seemed to have changed she gleefully recounted how she sabotage one of Charles's business trips while he was gone. She cancelled his flight. His return flight. Shane and other friend went to the airport and took his truck. Charles's sister Kay and her husband. Larry Woodcock heard that same story from Charles himself but more to it than what April heard when he got home that night. All of his clothes were gone later. Charles also claimed in a court filing that Lori had taken thirty five thousand dollars from his business account and this Charles said that. Laurie seemed to have gone off some sort of theological deep end as told K. She told him that she was a god. She was a translated being that she was there to save one hundred. Forty four thousand people For the Second Coming of Christ in July of July Twenty second twenty twenty. So that's when it's going to happen specific date second or twenty twenty yes. Lorie suddenly seemed to be operating on a different plane. Entirely Charles filed for divorce. But did you really say all those things? Yes at April. She did talking a mile a minute and she was bringing up names of all these people that I had never heard of or heard her talk about before so she brought up Chad Day. Bell Tried Date Bill. Nothing Lori went on your credit all these people that were part of this podcast group that she also was a part of and when she's describing some of their doctrine in describing some of their beliefs it was just. It was just too much to even get my mind around the things that you're very familiar with Traditional lvs theology. Yes it was not like little divergent close. What was the basis of the basis seemed to be preparing for the end of times and they believe that they were part of the hundred and forty four thousand that are deigned to Goto exactly that they were part of that. And they were here to gather the other members To join them. April was alarmed. Seems almost like Lori been brainwashed? The lorry that I knew compared to the Laurie that I saw an observed after she connected with Chad in this group is night and day but of course as we now know this transformation at really only just begun coming up. Would you use the word brainwashed to describe what happened? Grim is better inside this strange spiritual world. A former follower speaks out for the first time. Chad believed that his wife was now inhabited by Zombie..

And so that Visual Scheme Pallet. You're picking up on when you're watching the staging the lighting. The camera angles. You're correct. It's very deliberate and very particular to this story that we're trying to tell in this way is one of my favorite questions anyone's ever asked that. I'm glad that this approach is obvious to you as you're watching the show that's amazing. I'm so happy like that one could Yeah another billions question is somebody wants to know of all the places that you've shown on billions like the different types of foods if you'd only at one establishment if the rest of your life what would it be all right and then. I thought I saw Jonathan. Prince came over the top of his. Like how can you possibly pick one if it's not Jennifer in my cooking my friends Jonathan and Jennifer? Her Great Cooks Well I mean I love Sushi. So it's possible. I would pick a Sushi restaurant and and I love Anthony. Mangione Pizza Napolitano. I mean I could live there even though eating pizza right now because I'm trying to eat better more healthily for me. Carbs like that aren't great. I would say when a pizza or any of David. Chang's restaurants David. Chang is my chef. I mean I love Danny Meyer's restaurants to the truth is I have too many friends who are chefs to really answer. This other than to say other than left Alex Shelley butter I mean so many missy robbins all my friends who were so great at as you know this possible answer if I'm Ivan Rahman if I'm leaving you out mortgage starts rice game. I feel bad if we're being honest though moments we're gonNA toolbar is so important. Our family to the four of us to be broader in your mother when David Open that restaurant Chang. It really is defending that locked in for me that that restaurants and food matter in different weight made me curious. Always talk on the show about how I'm fueled by curiosity and I try to chase. What fascinates me and that was the moment the moment that I I went to WanNa. Chang's restaurants is the moment that I became incredibly attuned to this experience of getting to eat out at amazing new stunning places and I think David's continued to grow. But there's something about the original restaurant most who can it'll bar Vit- I think you probably agree whenever we walk into that place. It feels like we're supposed to be here and I and restaurants are emotional and there's a romantic heart of what your favorite restaurant is and so for me. I think They would have pizza. Napolitano for similar reasons And Move Granola bar. Those would be the two that I would pick our nearing forty minutes. So should I ask you some final question just a couple more? Yep It had most underrated player ball time. Oh I got no who asked that question and Billy Brunell. All right. The most underrated neck by definition. That's Mark Jackson. Even the walked like a hall of Famer An assist leader of all time. I think Mark Jackson is underrated. I think that nature so close the championships and I think Mark Jackson gave his all every time he was on the floor. And if you're looking for like a really obscure Nick I could say like toby night but the truth is let's stick with Mark Jackson next question name the last two things you change your mind about. Whoa that's not some quick question Okay one isn't manatt making you come home. Decided you're twenty years old like okay so parents people asked about this all the time? You're twenty but you still live under my roof. I still support you. You're in college. I pay for college. You're also very obedient person. Meaning even if legally you don't have to listen to me you would listen to me and I originally wanted you to come home during this time but as I thought that was my instinct because as a parent I want you close to me and I wonder you protected with me but then I thought about it. You you rationally said doubt. I think I'm safe where I am because with people. I'm I don't know if the fly to you also New York has far more chronic buyers I am. I don't want to say exactly. We weren't all that stuff and I thought about it overnight and I realized okay I can't put my own anxiety. My own sort of like need to know K. She's under my roof ahead of what's rationally logically the best. We have a lot of friends where you are. They're great doctors where you are if you would need a doctor You're with very smart people who are thoughtful. You're very smart and thoughtful and careful. You're not you're responsible. And so that's one thing I'd change my mind about and something else that I love about this. The first two years Fred Arnesen was on Saturday night live. I thought he was the least funny. Person has resigned alive and yet and then around the third or fourth season I realized. Oh He's the funniest human being in America. Yeah so that's something that I just. WanNa final question What's your preferred coffee brewing method? Okay I love French. Press if I can get all perfect meaning if I can get every element of the French press exactly right so I just the right beans. That aren't too bitter for French. Press more better. I've grinded them to the perfect size. That's very challenging. You almost always they end up too small and then there's too much sediment and the water has to be just the right level of And then you have the time it exactly to the four minutes so up. Perfect French press but it's so maddening trying to get the French press right that as long as grind the beans fresh in the morning. I'm happy to have drip coffee now. Coffee coffee is good to have drip coffee. Now that I love the smell of the beans grinding in the kitchen so as long as I grind the beans. Fresh put new water in some not leaving the water overnight and then Totally happy with drip coffee and and the real truth matters. Don't like carrot machines expresses now. I don't know but in a pinch I'm happy to do it. It's fine listen. There's no real real bad coffee I can tell myself. I'm drinking deli coffee and like well. Hey there's Newark tradition. This is doing gourmet coffee. I'm like Oh look the trouble. These people went to should love the taste. The coffee I drink it black and I love the way coffee feels and I love the way that coffee taste and the one thing I'll say to you. "After an extensive debate the judiciary committee voted thirteen. One to four Clarence Thomas Nomination to the full Senate on September twenty seven hundred ninety one so even though the Democrats have a woman statement and FBI investigation. She's making claims of sexual harassment and really grotesque all of the Democrats but one vo or to pass it on. Pass it on on October sixth. Npr AIR STORY BREAKING DOWN. A need is sexual harassment charges. The fact both have been interviewed by the FBI as well as an interview with Anita herself and it was backed by witnesses who said at the time. Anita had told them this was going on now. So cocaine right so for me. One of the biggest. If a woman comes forward years later one of the biggest pieces of proof is if other people say yes. She told me at the time that to me is just damning right. Newsday newspaper also broke the story on the same day so then Anita Hill the press conference and said she would testify K. She did this one day before the final vote was so they're about to vote in the Senate. The next day ripped Biden is now worried. People would be upset about how he handled things. Yeah of course. I don't know why I can't imagine why the level of corruption that I mean truly is it corruption a total lack of human empathy. It is immoral. But it's it's you you sacrifice those in order to maintain status quo so that you keep your job so that you keep making money and are still powerful so he felt he felt like he had followed the rules the FBI investigated and that was given to members of the committee and so he was supposed to have been done but Democrats then postponed the vote for a week after this hits. Democrats agreed to have another round of hearings okay but they gave concessions to the Republicans. Annoy you shaking your head it just because they have never it never. It will never have fifty seven. They have complete power. Yes and they're like well. What are you guys want you guys? What can we do to get you guys to agree to do this? The new hearings. Starting three days there will be no second committee. Vote on Clarence okay. So it's automatically it's going to go to the Senate. Yes and there'll be a floor vote regardless of what was learned in the hearing so no matter what is said in the hearing. He's still gonNA get an up or down vote correct. Furthermore by Republicans came to the agreement that the hearings would solely focus on sexual harassment and avoid stuff like clearances. Love a porn. Well out of the things that creeped me out hearing talk about porn and his own. Dick where the things that were. I would say we're top tier issues. So that's left out by. That has no relevance here bearing. No He's not going to do that when he's on the Supreme Court. Of course not you learn a lot. Just put on the road robe of knowledge of change. It's a magic road. It is by then gave clearance the choice to testify before or after Anita advantage bullshit. Is this fucking Y aright? Anita's going to receive. Which side of the court do you want to sit on? I mean you fucking make the call by fucking make the call off. This is a fighting biting even looking at it from a selfish angle. This is a time for Joe Biden and actually do it right and get away from like looking like a fuck up. Yeah so he could reset and be like no. Let's go. We gotta like this guy's a Douche bag I'm not saying we don't vote amid because his douchebag. I'm saying because people know that I knew it was a Douche bag and when it say so now we got us as a dish back so a clearances chooses to testify first Biden call receive Biden. Call the needed to tell her. She asked how hearing would be conducted sloppily. I'll be in charge and I'm I'M GONNA say here's the deal. A Lot Biden said well at this point and the only thing we can do is to conduct an open hearing now. Anita felt like he was blaming her for having to hold the hearing also he he pushed all this and if you think back to what she. I said she was like. I just don't want anyone to know my name. Yeah now you're like we're having an I mean the level of heightening this is going through as absurd. Republicans the movie that's based on you so Biden then invest. Fbi investigation would happen that investigation. The report would then go to the committee and the no one else would hear about. He was hoping it would all get buried. That's what he thought would happen and now he's upset with her for happy. You've done it again. Excuse me you've done it again. Anita you really always seemed to be at the center of these issues. Don't you? Republican congressional staff were now looking for affidavits from Anita's past law. Students that would state cheat engaged in unseemly behaviors. They also look for any info about psychological conditions. That would make her lie about Clarence. Thomas Senator Alan Simpson believed Anita's claims did not merit serious concern. He was quote angered to the core. He's he's angry. Well these these guys are you know. They're all over sixty power forever. They really think that this is fine. Yeah they think it's fine do and they do and they do feel like people are invading their territory. They're very territorial and they're rude and even when it's something like this they're like dicks in an interview old white. Yeah it's interesting in an interview. He said quote this is Simpson. I'm really getting stuff over the TRANSOM. About Professor Hill. I have got statements from her former law. Professor statements from people that know her statements from Tulsa Oklahoma. Saying Watch out for this woman. Yeah Watch out. She's really at ninety one and I love people that act like Republicans changed at some point. Yeah always haven't been the most fucking vicious disgusting pieces of Shit that ever exists as well as Democrats. Well this ISN PAINTING. Democrats good either. That's their job. Their job is to be marginally better so that we keep believing in heroes. The hearing started three days later. Networks covered it live witnesses. Who were going to appear were subpoenaed and sworn-in that included four witnesses. Who said Anita told them? She was being harassed while it happened. And his opening statement Biden said. This was not a courtroom and the same rules. Do not apply quote. We are not here or at least. I am not here to be an advocate for one side or the other with respect to the specific allegations which we will review yes I'm not culpable. He's literally saying he's not on a team. He's lady saying that he doesn't care conserve. This guy is replacing Thurgood Marshall. Yeah I mean Jesus fucking Christ Washington Post quote some former Senate. Aides Describe Biden as having a preoccupation with being liked by members of both parties may also said quote. The chair does not have the power to rule out of order questions that are not relevant to our proceedings. Sorry say that again. The chair does not have the power to rule out of order questions that are not relevant to our proceedings. So any question goes basically. That's what he's saying. Any question goes I just basically. You're pay clarence. I mean he's literally saying I can't there's no overruling of bullshit that's not how they fucking work especially when you're dealing with something of sexual like nature like this if there's something that makes her uncomfortable you she should not have to talk about it he said both in. Clarence we're not on trial and they would not. They were not here to badgered. Witnesses should not feel like she's on trial. No this is. She's like a witness. Yes so look. She's the victim. S Clarence testified. I he said it about a couple of weeks since he learned that was up talking about my man. I watched this porno the other day. You should have seen this SCUBA PORNO SCUBA. Yeah they had skeptics scuba sex man or we're going to wrap up the hearing scuba stands for no self contained underwater blowing apparatus that we have to shut down. Yeah you're not helping your case Helping little clearance here. No I'm going to bang the gavel. Watch order or my shorts clan said. He was shocked. He said Anita never said anything to him when they worked together and never brought it up with female co-workers which again even if that was true is not does not make. He painted himself as the victim under attack from the press. And these terrible allegations quote. I've never in all my life felt such hurt. Such pain such agony. This is where this is this this this this is what has to go. My family and I have been done a grave and irreparable injustice. This is not America. This is Kafka esque. It's not Kafka ask. There's nothing about this right. Has this relate to what Dave I feel like turning into a bug? I am not going to allow myself to be further humiliated in order to be confirmed yesterday. I called my mother. She was confined to her bed unable to work unable to stop crying. So I told you a couple of pornos went to bed. Enough is enough. I will not provide the rope for my own lynching or further humiliation dangerous interesting. Well might as well use that card. Well well done at the end but that really is what that is what it is. It's it's the inability now to actually accept something as the way it is an admit fault rather you undercut victimization by victimizing yourself and it works all you do. Is You just say that the media is skewed and the you're the enemy of the media and then that's probably enough to get you through the news cycle remember needed given a statement to the FBI whenever so Biden then started to say and he did not want her statement read but instead wanted to testify herself and say in person and then Senator Orrin Hatch of Utah. Cut Binoche Quote. This is the nomination of a man to become a justice of the Supreme Court of the United States Hatch was irate by NAST HATCH. He would yield. Isn't he supposed to yield? Well hold on hatches. Just cut off the chairman right so there is no yielding. You found your fucking Gabby and say do shut your fucking out. But he's asking him. Will you yield yield? Just cut you off motherfucker. Do you're damn job so had said no let me finish. I'm sorry and then Biden said no I won't and has attached. Just said yes you will and then finished. Oh my God. Joe Quote he has a right to face the accuser and everything the accuser says. It'd be doesn't. I'm going to resign from this committee today. I'm telling you I don't want to be on it. Republicans were already starting to completely roll over Joe Biden and control the hearing so Anita testified next. But I'll bet you the they liked him. Yes which is what matters. All that matters. Needed gave her opening statement. She was very quiet and poised. She's black she's thirty five years old. The committee is all male. All White and Oliver Sixty great visual perfect. Yeah Biden set the rules. Close like a bunch of guys. You don't want to see it in the lock. That's how I would describe our quote. This is by. It is appropriate to ask Professor Hill. Anything any member wishes to ask her to plumb the depths of credibility. I've got a member that would like to talk. No Clarence but can you imagine. Yeah no you refer yet. He's literally setting her up to be savage all right. Let's stone the witch. I mean it's fucking crazy. You can ask her anything you want. Yeah you can ask your Tester fucking credibility and this guy is a fucking piece of shit raising an either layer later say it was worse than being on trial because she had absolutely no legal protections. That's crazy. Republicans brutally went after Anita and Joe did not put up a fight to stop it. Republicans said it was weird. She waited eight years reveal. This and there were inconsistencies between her. Fbi interview and her statements. I mean whatever. She didn't wait she was like I. Don't I just WanNa get away from this thing? Why didn't you buy you at the time? Because he wasn't GonNa be on the Supreme Court but come on like like a fucking woman at that. Time can come forward. The fucking black environment doesn't make you feel comfortable..

"April Raymond had been so close to her friend Lori here in Kawai. Jj Tighly April sons lived almost like cousins. Laura's husband Charles. The doting uncle who watched over the kids whenever they go to the beach. So of course April stayed in touch after Laurean Charles moved back to Arizona in June of two thousand eighteen once a week or once every two weeks we would just kind of catch up or a text here or a conversation there then that eight months later early February two thousand nineteen. It was about a year ago now. April got a strange phone call from Lori. She said that she had just landed on why she was leaving. Charles and she asked if she could stay with me and did you think. Would you got that call? I thought they're having a fight. She just it's GonNa blow over but the Laurie who came knocking at April's door daughter Kylie in tow but no. Jj seemed almost like a woman transformed very different. She seemed very disorganized and very manic. A little manic. Yeah definitely saying that Charles had an affair and she was leaving him. April couldn't believe with Lori was saying no just that Charles cheated but that he turned me and even violent and it just kind of didn't fit very well with me because Charles was a friend of mine too sure. Did you also suspect the story about the affair that maybe I didn't think it made any sense? For whatever reason I felt like he was being portrayed as a villain. In my opinion he wasn't Lori was the one who seemed to have changed. She gleefully recounted how she sabotage one of Charles's business trips while he was gone. She counseled his flight has returned Flight Shane. Another friend went to the airport and took his truck gay. Mary Whitaker that same story from Charles himself but more to it than what April heard when he got home that night. All of his clothes were gone all of. Jj's clothes were gone later. Charles also claimed in a court filing that Lori had taken thirty five thousand dollars from his business account gone this Lori said Charles seemed to have gone off some sort of theological deep end as he told K. She told him that she was a god. She was a translated being that she was there to save one hundred and forty four thousand people For the Second Coming of Christ in July of July twenty second or twenty twenty. So that's when it's going to happen. Specific Date Twenty second or twenty twenty. Yes lorie suddenly seem to be operating on a different plane entirely Charles filed for divorce. But did you really say all those things said April? She did talking a mile a minute and she was bringing up names of all these new people that had never heard of or heard her talk about before she brought up Chad Day. Bell Chad date. Though man nothing April Lori went on she brought it all these people that were part of this podcast group that she also was a part of and when she's describing some of their doctrine in describing some of their beliefs it was just. It was too much to even get my mind around the very familiar with traditional. Lvs Theology yes. It was not like divergent. It was not even close the basis of the basis seem to be preparing for the end of times and they believe that they were part of the hundred and forty four thousand that are trained to go to T. Exactly that they were part of that and they were here to gather the other members To join them. That's why Lawrie had returned to Kawai. She told April she was burying good news and she had told me that she was there. Because I was one of the one hundred and forty four thousand issues together me and I just said I think I'm not just not. I know that I'm not one of those people entirely in the midst of all this tiny would always just speak either sleeping or just waking up just being a teenager April or was she depressed maybe and why not her mother Lori just couldn't stop talking about death. And what did the afterlife? I think she was had a fascination with the idea of a definite maceration for whatever reason they never rate of dying dying and not uncomfortable with other people dying. It was just like walking from one room to the next. Did she talk about things? Like people marked for death or anything. Yes and no. When she came back she had told me. That Charles was already dead and that there was a demon Levin inside of him said Laurie later changed her story. So Charles was still alive but she's had any day I'm GONNA get a call that he's dead expected But really seem to mean that she really seemed to mean it. What's really weird back on? The mainland Charles's sister K. Was also worried you get a call. That Charles was dead because Charles had told her that Lori made her end of days intentions toward him quite clear she said. I'm going to murder you and there will be angels there to dispose of the body. Yeah I'M GONNA murder an angel spill dispose of his body. She told him that. Yes that's right. Charles took seriously enough to include the exact words in his divorce. Filing if Charles got in her way of her mission his lawyer wrote she would murder him back on July about two months into her. Stay Laurie simply vanished from the island her departure as inexplicable as her arrival. April her she was back with Charles so she thought whatever existential crisis her friend was having now thankfully past she could not have been more wrong coming up several gunshot that deadly premonition about Charles was about to come true new world and his wife Lori was just kind of like a happy. Go lucky she was just kind of.

"You know I couldn't think of two more relevant guys who love Valentine's Day more then the two of us I've got poetry written. Well I know you do's and don'ts or Valentine's Day happy off most romantic song list. Yes in fact we have a segment coming up called Please don't tease her right. And we'll get to that. Let's run at a time. She's here on this day. Not For you not for you because you made a joke a couple of days ago to me I did. Yeah so scary. Girlfriend really wants him to pull out all the stops on Valentine's Day. She checks it the best restaurant a nice gift can't be the day before our handy things something expensive and I said look this one thing you can do to get your girlfriend to stop caring about Valentine's brody marry her. Then you're off to all your Valentine's Day is going to be like a where ordering a you. WanNa talk about romantic. We are ordering heart-shaped pizzas to eat in the house. Are they gonNA say? A heart shaped penises. No first of all. How would that work? That would be really crooked heart-shaped boobs maybe like a penis that goes around the shape of a heart. I'm not going to not going to imagine that So you imagine heart-shaped Pizza. Yeah I love you eat your heart out. Yeah I'll be the restaurant okay. You know I wanted it like card shape pizza. I'm saying it's just not that's like Mickey Mouse pancakes. It taste the same that's it. Yeah no when you go to Disney Mickey Mouse Waffles. Completely different tastes. Everyone sure they taste like they take twenty five dollars a waffle. They taste like two hundred dollars to get in the park. Okay they taste like yeah. They taste like one waffle and in two little waffles. Attached to make ears silly you fill on. I know that it's a mickey shaped waffle maker. They don't really attach the I get it. I know I know but you're you're not even getting a full order. I give me three large waffles. Please I don't need to ear size. Waffles well no. It's all one waffle. Okay it's all connected by say. Don't tweet me which reminds me. I want to update everyone from last from episode one fifty Valentine's Day. Just let me slip this in slips. You're GonNa Valley so we were talking about the upset outlets in the studio. And how a three outlet usually traditionally used to be the two rectangular slots for the plug in the round one for the ground underneath right to on top one on the apparently. That's old fashioned. Well now elect the electrical code in most places now is upside down of that. Yes Oh the Prong is on top. The problem is most box plugs. Now don't fit right or their upside down and so ninety seven electricity. Listen to our podcast. I noticed that all right now one guy was three days later. He just made the rule. So we're good what who knew that that that's a modern day coating because they're afraid that something is going to fall on top of the plug knock it out of the socket and hit the ground. I if the plug. Yeah I when it's upside down when I got away hits the electricity now. I don't know how often how often you see. Rockslide off the wall plug. I don't know apparently it happened once. Maybe a house burned down. So yeah now. I can't sleep at night because all my plugs the right way and brought to you. You didn't believe me that there are people out there that have the old fashioned sockets with only two and whenever they get a three prong plug. I disliked it. Would saw the fucking thing off and you you thought I was joking. Several people tweeted. Dmz they do it. Yeah I did it on my grandmother dated or I know someone in my building. Don't do that people. Dead Is Dangerous. You can you. Can you can start a fire. There's a reason why that third pin needs to be there for the ground plight. I look you don't want to put the third on the top okay. So you don't break the plug like I love it off. I'm going to jury rig this thing up Jerry. Reagan and I'M GONNA make it work. No you adapt to for ninety seven cents at Home Depot but rather have. My House burned down thirty thousand thing. I ripped that thing off. The man's not gonNa tell me how to plug in my electronic device so back to Valentine's Day I always get sidetracked when I just wanted to know first of all if you think in your humble opinion of humble what's far does one have to go in a relationship to have to have a successful. Valentine's Day with minimally speaking. Just give me like what? What are you to get over the Hump to get up? Because I don't WanNa go extended orbiting extravagant you know but unfortunately that's what Valentine's Day is. That's why we're so. That's what you have allowed it to become a really how those ground rules because you're one you're extravagant your to you should have been like ninety eight percents. Extravagant is the last year and slowly phased out so that after ten years or at McDonald's so I start hi yes go low right look. She knows how you feel about her. You're very generous to her. I am all about the way you travel with her. I celebrate her all year. Yes you do. You are not one of those hallmark guys because it's a holiday your nicer all the time but I'm going to be the guy that did the right thing. I made the reservation in advance. So you know that I was thinking of her right. You get the card. Maybe some flowers and can't get a steak. Dinner should get A. She's like steak now. She does but prefers K. She prefers the halibut. Oh just for the halibut. Nice and and I'm going to a Victoria's secret event. After that I did that one year we talk about them. Well we've been we've been on for that long. Yeah so third year coming up. This summer will be no. We're not doing anything crazy like that. Okay but I will say Wherever I go I will where I probably will wear red. Is She gonNA wear red? Yeah you can't both wear red couples. I've seen it brody. I've seen couples where red pink. It's bad enough. People do that at amusement match going to be out here people Valentines Day couples. They go out to dinner and they go out. They wear red together and all know what's wrong with that. Then you're gonNA look like Klay. Kara her gay friend from work. Not Valentine's Day. Yes she's like. Oh I got my guy. He's here he's with me. No no and I'm not saying where does that. Megyn where I'm just saying you can't wear red. Where a plaid? Maybe but not all match her solid red shirt was gonNA look like it's Christmas match L. Greene but whatever it'll be matching on Valentine's Day. Not How about you match what? You're a couple. He both Italian with black hair. Isn't that enough okay? I was going to now now. You just kind of talk me out of it and we'll get look actually harassed me out of it the things when you never wear red. I had a couple of red shirts. You have solid Red Dick Button down shirt so short sleeve which were to the pizza festival. Yes the sauce doesn't show up. I'm not exactly right. That's the one you went to me this year. They had to bring that up the and then I wear. I have another red shirt for no so Christmas. You're right Christmas. Yeah and then Valentine's Day. What a pink. I got plenty of pink. Don't you gotTa Peter Millar Pink Shirt? By the way. We have a new type of the new explain later. What's plane I'll go? What are we going to so you guys know the Petema Law Commerce? We just finalized. Don't read okay. We'll read style. You have a pink shirt. Look to lipstick pink shirt where read. That's still Valentine's pink. We're paying wait a minute. I said don't read so your response that is I'm GonNa Wear Pink. I'M NOT GONNA look bad. I'm look worse. Pink Pink to gray color. You can't rock pink now. You're not a real man now. I can rock lavender charcoal. I do I rock the hell out of charcoal Blue Navy Navy. So so Peter Millar. So you haven't been listening is a is a company that just got into our ear somehow because of the repetitive commercial approach. He's trying to find the commercial. Okay and we we've flippable ARPITA Millar you'll hear it. I would like to introduce the gentlemen listening to the twenty one thousand nine hundred favourite Millar seaside polo because the Peter Millar. Seaside Polo is the most comfortable shirt but similar all over and over and over and by the way prior to this commercial and I was talking about it on the podcast sponsor I not yet. I never really thought twice it up here. I thought it was some golf shirt gear. Whatever but now you know about but now now there's been sightings everywhere and I even screen shot at. You accomplish videos. I'm like Oh my God it's happening again. So it's like all of a sudden we bring something to the forefront of attention in your face everywhere Peter Wright tech so so I took. All I've done is seen Peter Molloy. Now it's still not a sponsor sponsor they should have been on board months ago by the way it'd be great if we had a not a sponsor sponsor like they paid sponsor come on later signed a new Peterman law. So we've played this guy before on our show. This is Mike Francesa. He is a legendary guy in New York radio but over the years over his thirty five years. Whatever it's been. He's been at the decline of Fox given on the Radio. Right fucks given now. He doesn't even it's like he has a microphone random and he's just taught grumbling and talk. He'll sell right. He used to have a partner and they would have fun conversations mad dog now he just sits in a room by himself lesion. He's excellent at what he does. He's he's using guy amazing. He's retired but he's like he's fuck. What about the listener? It also has a pause forever. He takes time. He looked at his phone pissed off. He repeats a clip of him. I have oh yeah phone fifty three second right trying to find the answer. Is something live on the radio? And there's no one else in the studio to bounce off at least brody and I have each other so if one of us in in our phone look for something like right now looking for something I can actually vamp and talk like this and talk to the audience but not Mike Francesa. He's by himself so he starts grumbling shit to can't find play the clip of him scrolling through. So he's he's the local afternoon sports guy here in New York. At least he was now he's retiring. He's GonNa do part time but he has a tendency to repeat himself and here. He is looking through his phone for something. This was on the. I like him as a player. I really do wish him. I can read this. Come up here. you don't give a fuck about us now..

"Just look at some of the first round matches. Madison keys. Beat them pretty good form reaching the final in Brisbane. She's Daria has it. Came to in the first round which casinos Phoolan from West. She will system nauseous. She has no confidence. Probably isn't any good form that still tasty match because we have keener is capable so stevens in absolutely no full leather. She loves to lie. I think she lost to light someone outside the top two hundred in like three and to the other week the other day Jiang. I can't see her living up to conceal her. Which Saints Saint Stephen's people? Say Stephen side is probably going to hate me saying this. Saint Stephen's like the the women's version of Alex vary of at the moment. Yeah I mean I just. I'm looking at her and the Jordan tightly discounting her which might be too. You know my discredit any on you. Right hand new discount a grand slam winner well anti-racist each other final slams and Chase Sheila Sunburn shape and finally to highlight so just when when when someone's not being in any form it's just really hard to see them run together. We've also got Donna. Vecchio playing shower paver in the first round which is I think that's such a good match up your Comes through Suarez Navarro. Isn't she one of your favorite show? She's thanks I is a lost season tall came. We could save these moments. I expecting to victory or something has been in good form. So you're GONNA say Putin server against C- Waesche way. I think I'm saying wrong. I mean see way shape just such a chilled out sort of player. An pretense of is just like the most angriest lady complete polar opposites which will probably make good Good Fun for the spectators and yet von Druce Avert Kazaks over an mlive. Not Prescriber. Say Yes some interesting again. Some interesting fascinating round match-ups that genuine. You could go either way. I think is interesting that we've got. We've got players in the draw that have proven themselves at Grand Slams. The past oil-based got of writing the ball. Plays like so. Steve is Angelique. Kerber. We haven't even mentioned that. I had law season I. It's just like it's semi different unknown quantities lurking in the women's draw it's going to be And another one. I mean we've got we'LL SNIA K. She's retiring after the cost. You say she she's got Christie on in the first round which is perfectly evidently winnable. I think she might snacky can progress through. She may be on to face Serena in the fourth round Like that could happen. Which would be a nice. A nice kind of ending. Was the AKI Cassia. Best mates were Serena so she has a decent tournament if it's if it's going to be if it's a nice ending. I'm pretty sure that playing each other in like Wozniak exhibition farewell. Also Adam Danielle Collins. She has been in pre fiery form In the run-up to oversee she was a semifinalist last year. But she lost to ball in the semi's in Adelaide Just just she lost week and ready this year. She's beaten bench and Selena Which is crazy so you look out for her in the drawer because I think she could potentially meet. Oh I think she can meet In the third round which is not good for my prediction. Astle and also. She's a play Jennifer Brady in the first round. Who you beat Balti- in Brisbane on sharp UV. Insurance Act three cookout first round did. Yeah so lots of exciting matchups. I mean. I'm still under totally undecided. When it comes to the Minstrel I think it could be bossy. Asaka SERENA I think these three I think this is will come from one of those players Selena no even spoken out SIS. Linens used to be one of the most consistent look really good Omaha core the USA Serena. She's I call ins last week though and you slam. She just doesn't seem to reach the semi's of Wimbledon last year so I think it was but she just lacks kind of conviction. I look at her and saying. Oh she's GonNa do Shit could. Y- benches is really good record against like a soccer. We know she cannot be anyone on a given day. So I pass anything ASAKA SERENA OBOE. Say the time to probably go to one of them. And we've got we've got British interests as well and we go quite a lot of purchase interests. Actually because you know go off see Konta Katie. Bought is going to be. That had the Watson. He's been a great run full also the manger and hurt does qualified as well As as I saw her it dot qualifying. I was thinking while they call go any worse than last time. Maria Sharapova dumps it was the first matches well like it was that she match on on whatever on show court and the off with our say hopefully I mean I think she faces a Misaki Doi. in this first round. So you know. I think she's she. She's playing well at the moment. And Yeah that's the Cohen Como. Harriet DOT COM on some games against Masaaki. Yeah she could. I think she could. She could win Walnut Fisher. I mean it's more winnable within Katie Boulter Selena first round. I so tricky. I don't. I'm not expecting. I mean borders as her first match back. And then you go around. That's tasty not ideal also. I have low expectations for job Qatar. She's playing on Yobbo first round and it didn't beat her eastern last year. I think it rings a bell. I don't see Jerry's been struggling with his knee injury so I just ate knew. Exactly what kind of a shape? She's going to be in so I'm going to go in there. Not Expecting too much Heather Watson. I think maybe she's the one we should be looking at you know. She reached the semi. Hey Ball in. Odi just lost to rookie was close. Three set match in that semi and she's Got Christina Fishkhabur. So I think it'd be great if he could make a run here like I mean have since she loves loves playing Hobart I think she she wanted number of years ago or whatever and you know. She's definitely paid us off in some form and yeah I think. I think my is more Yaron Watson Than Than Joe Concert because you know I mean yes. I agree with counter ECON writer off at your own peril. This knee injury I. It sounds like that's more kind of like manage it as opposed to like it's going to keep me out of tennis for for however long how. Yeah I'm more excited more more optimistic about Watson's chances than counters. We get embroiled in another long epic three-set Match Koslov stress to any British fans watching. I'm cool side. We should say the doubles draws have. Come out as well say. I think we're going to be looking at them. More round one catch up because doubles doesn't typically saw a couple of days in but one thing. We should bent Geneva. Well number one men in men's doubles Robert. Farah has well. It's been a new surrounding at drugs to assist in that Joe so he's not playing the Australian Open. He tested positive for substance. He's he I think. He originally came out cited personal reasons for not playing but then basically came out that he failed a drugs and the reason he The reason for that his words not mine was essentially some meat he was eating in Columbia normally. Has this drug in it or something. He needs said he because he'd been eating a lot of meat it's shown up. Yeah so I mean Dana. I can't come pick nece. Do they need to investigate? We'll see how long it will be when the outcome of that but yeah it's a shame because they will be doing very well and I'm not sure if his partner Kabala has found an EP. I'm sure he probably would have done being number one. Jim Don't worry there is that will be still Lleyton. Hewitt's doubles at Grand Slams. He's been given a wildcard. Another wildcard with Jordan Thompson. Said they will be in the men's doubles. Joe's is lying here. Just GonNa play. Every men's doubles like eighty in the men's doubles and while called until you say ashfall ts in the women's double stroller. We know she normally plays doubles as well. But it's interesting that she's still deciding to do that. She's playing with Yulia Girgis. So they're not seeded but yet we know she's a terrific doubles player as well so it's just interesting that she still deciding cdot alongside has singles campaign as well. Yeah definitely right. Let's move on to collect a set which I know. We have both been very excited about our listeners. Have been very excited about. They've been putting that prediction to us. Isn't that drove? I think we've got about. I think we've had thirty thirty entries now some something around then But yes this is collect for our listeners. Who Don't know. This is our a predictions for tournament. We pick six players three men three women and you tell us. How far do you think they're going to go in the drool so we announced on twitter earlier this week that the players for our collector set Novak Djokovic Andre Rube leff Don Evans. An from the women's side Cocoa Golf Serena Williams and Ash Bharti. So Yeah we've had our listeners. Giving us their predictions some. I agree with some. I don't agree with but we are going to reveal our predictions. Now Kim. I mean you've alluded so some of the some of them some of your thoughts. Let's start with the men Novak Jackovitch. Well said he's going to win. Talk to you. I mean that was yeah. That was probably the most agreed on looking at the everybody's at did say that was probably almost. The basic agreed agreed on Sir. Say let's move. Let's get to relive what ending an IVC ended up as a quarter finalist leasing to Medvedev. Say we I also got him as a quote Melissa I I think he could play. He could play David Goffin. Who's technically a higher seed third round Spot but if he comes through that yeah it's it's pretty a Thinki- can navigate it to the quotas. Say One of our listeners. For him to win. I think I really ever French Bay Yet so Dan Evans will be down. Evans I have gone for him. Getting to round three losing to Novak Djokovic. Three three in love or something But Yeah I've gone. I think I've gone. Yeah I think he's. He's playing really well. I don't really see. Yeah I think he can. I think you'll get to the second round. I think he's GonNa lose to Leslie Happier. Hey Cool Hey. I'm not sure I've just have have an inkling that he might not get to the third round Busey Louis C..

"I think it almost feels more like an interactive story than it feels like a game and I and I'm okay with that because I walked into that experience and not expecting to play a game. I walked in knowing what I was getting into. I was like I've heard a lot about this game. I've known Connie. She's talked to me about it. I know that this is going to be like inexperience and it really was so the game you play as is a woman named K. She's a young woman. She kinda doesn't really have an age. It's hard to tell if she's like in her early. Twenties or early thirties and you kind of can't really tell like where she's at in her life based off what you've seen but each chapter of the story kind of follows her she tackles these monsters not only her own monster within her but monsters in her life. There's a chapter about her experience with her brother. There's a chapter about her parents parents. There's a chapter about her boyfriend. In each one really hits on these experiences that are so reminiscent of experiences. I think that everyone has had ten gently in their life might not be exactly like your parents might have gone through this exact thing in your brother this exact thing but you've known somebody who's come close and it was tough like some chapters were more poignant than others I grew up with divorced parents so the chapter with the parents and what they were struggling with didn't resonate resonate with me as as much as it might with other people who grew up in a household with parents who had issues or who had communication problems but the chapter was the brother was particularly devastating for me because of how they portrayed our trade what he went through trying to keep things as vague as possible because I don't want to spoil it for people who want to experience the narrative for themselves really see how it unfolds but I hope that we're able to one day do a spoiler cast with Connie any of this game because I think it would be really fascinating to learn about her process and how she went about writing this and everything that she emotionally had to kind of Russell with and grapple with in the process of making this game and transferring it to an an interactive experience that she really is putting in front of the world but I can't recommend it enough if you are interested in these more softer art focused narrative focused India experiences. It's something that what I would take the time to play. It's short you could sit down and played in a single evening. It took me about three to four hours to play through the whole thing and I just it really spoke to me in a way and really resonated with me in ways that I was not anticipating <hes> i. I'm very interested. I was GONNA actually pick this up today but I got whisked away to replace. Physically I was not home. I saw like I got taken away in some metaphorically anyway so what I was kind of curious about was because 'cause I remember playing Gris and that game what I really loved about it. Is that you everything you saw around you. You can't interpret in a certain way. I remember you know when you have the heavy block on you and you have to really like hunker down to get through the really powerful gusts of winds that were trying blow you away you know you can look at that and a multitude of different ways. Is it kind of that way here. Do you kind of have to take it in. Pull something from it or is it pretty evident what you're looking at. It's a little bit more on the nose than that it certainly in the cut scenes. It's definitely on the nose I think Greece is a good example because it was a little bit more allegorical same with Seles like I think that was why people really heralded Celestis such a great example because there's a lot that you can infer from your own emotional lens playing the game because a lot of it was kind of like left for the player to interpret whereas with Sia solitude this is very clearly a a a point of view.

"Was our first Sunday show interview on ABC's this week with Jonathan Karl. She was sitting there this weekend. And she thinks that Democrats have very real risk of losing the presidency to Donald Trump, unless they run a socialist, that's her position, not a very strong position. I would say when you look at polling what it shows is that even democrat voters forty five and up, they do not want the brand of socialism, that a OC is promoting. But she does fancy herself an expert on many areas, including green energy, and how to farm and whether or not cauliflower should be allowed, so she she has lots of opinions. Sadly most of them are wrong. She's also against Cal farts. Aren't we all it's the cows? We like that's the that's K. She, she has finding some rare agreement, though, from the president of the United States because she said that we run the risk. Risk, right. Of losing the presidency to Donald Trump Democrats that the president tweeted that rather. The president tweeting yesterday. I agree. She quoted her. I agree. And that is the only reason they play the impeach card, which cannot be legally used. He said, also sort of waiting for everyone. There's a certain set of the left, that is waiting for Alexandria Qazi Cortez to endorse. They wanna know who are you going to pick will help that candidate on the two candidates are Elizabeth Warren and Bernie Sanders. Do they get a lift from a OC, or is this, like when the Taliban doors, George W Bush to try and hurt his chances? Here's my guess, I think Bernie Sanders would and here's the reason why course he is the original democrat who doubled down on socialism. Elizabeth Warren, others have stolen his thunder a little bit. But last week, he'd double down. He explained just how socialist he was and he resonates with young people. I've always found it. So interesting that here, you have a man, the age that he is kind of and his hand gestures. And the way he speaks but yet young people really like him. And this is what I'll give Bernie Sanders stick, like a sitcom character, he means it, he needs it. So I think if it would help anyone, I think, actually help Bernie Sanders, if she endorsed him. Yeah. Sanders is slipping though, in these polls Weiqing needs it, you see this, you know, he started to go backwards new Fox News national poll. Joe Biden thirty two percent in this Sanders now down to thirteen percent, Warren, nine Buddha, judge eight Harris, comma, Harris, eight we have a four way race for second right now in the Democratic Party. It was a minute ago. Bernie Sanders was pretty clearly number two without any sort of nipping at his heels. Definitely come up. Yeah that's that's the story of this week. That's the thing to watch in this early early phase. Remember how early we are though, if we were using this marker on the calendar in two thousand sixteen Jeb Bush would be the nominee for the Republican party. That's how early we are in this process. Do you know the, the staff, it fascinates me most on this, and it makes me wonder what this means long-term is Joe Biden. Here's the reason why he hasn't had the best rollout getting about. There has been plagiarism issues. He's had the flip flop flip flop on the Hyde amendment. He had to weather the storm of being inappropriate with women. There hasn't been much that he's done. That is good. But yet he still has he still leading. So can he do anything to make him drop? Or is it just the fact that has name recognition, and he seems like moderate? He's moderate enough. So it's palatable. And people just think that he's the most the candidate most able to defeat Trump. And there may be a bit of he's the air to Obama. That may also be he wants. He wants to pretend that they're best friends. He wants people to that. Yeah. But he's got the best case for it in terms of he was Obama's vice president, and there may be some pining involved among the base for why to keep him up there. More moment. Six fifty two on wwl lowest fee in real estate is coming.

"I wanna talk to we're working with Michelle on this. Amcha. What did they say? Clint hung up on me after actually called him a name, but they're, they're you called them a name. What day county lab, Michelle? I mean, Michelle's car. She went there with an extended warranty center there and they replaced it, though at the transmission, which only lasted two months. Now there's a little tough between tiff between Anco and this transmission supplier, but may shell should not be in the middle and they've had her car for five months. It's unconscionable, and they should never do that. He hung up on you. Well, I called I called him name. So why what did he do? Well, basically, I'm for how to put this takes a lot. You didn't lead with the name calling to tell me what happened. Tell me basically he can do nothing for us. He can do nothing for them. He has no idea when the car will ever be done. Okay. We got to go to. We're going this Amco should you know, why would anyone ever ever ever ever ever go to this Hamco what's their name Amco? What, what, what, what's their name? The guy's name Brandon a damn co Brandon. What's your phone number? Is he the manager who answered the phone number three, three, three, six six four four two? And there he said, basically, there is nothing. We can do. No, they said we're waiting for CK. We're waiting for this. We sent pictures. And I ask is there any kind of a date? He also denies this anywhere near five months, but anywhere near five months. So he says, Michelle, he says they may show they did not have your car five months, July tenth with that, for the original work of the second time, time, it went into live the tenth, I hadn't told that four months, four months still unacceptable by any stretch. Okay. But what, what about this argument that the CNN K, why don't we call them who cares? So what does that got to do with this poor woman? You know what I'm saying? But what about I wanna know, of course, lying to us about seeing K Kevin, you get a transmission from someone you install it breaks. It's your Prowse. Any does anyone know who seeing ks I saw their website. I mean they look shit. I mean, they got a website has a sheltie up the number of anyone at seeing K. Okay. Never thing is they won't let me speak to seeing k the insurance company. The only people on able to talk to is the I wonder if they really okeydoke didn't even put a rebuild in. There's like a use transmission in there that crap down on anything could happen. No one even said it was rebuilt it. They on the receipt. Well, I haven't got NBC's for me. But that's why they don't want her to talk to see and k we gotta get. Let's let's call C K. Clint call them. I'll give you should let this Amco know what you think of their fourteen eight seventy one east Colfax right in the right area for sluts and prostitutes. Right in the right area. One four eight seven one east Colfax Brandon, Brandon, the pimp, three oh, three three six six forty eight forty to the car, pimp, Anco. You know what do they even care about their fantasizes? We should call Amco national rough. I don't know if they care what did they say? No people and I spoke with a girl named melody and melody said, I'm. Check this out. I'm gonna get right back with tips three days. And finally, when she got back with me. She said, well, you have problems with this place before, but he says he's sitting in the picture, let's have Daf not only. Let's have Clint work on this. Let's have Daf, call their corporate at Amco and protect my car. That's right. Okay. Somewhere along the line. Protect my car. Amco C and K. We're going to get to the bottom four months. Meanwhile, pimp Brandon at Amco three three three six six forty eight forty two even if they're having a problem with their supplier. She didn't go out and pick them. Don't they shoe transmissions? There isn't there would Amco is I know. Yeah. I mean seriously. I thought they rebuilt transmission there. I am co is trying to get c K to pay for it, this Amco doesn't want to go out of pocket. That's what it is. But Amco has a responsibility to the consumer and to protect my car, which is the warranty company. Now this warranty company. If they are legit their victim, too. So let's divide and conquer will call protect my car will call Anco corporate, and we'll call C K 's absurd. But fourteen eight seventy one east Colfax. And this is pimp. Brandon the, the this, this place sucks. Just that the attitude of the guy and how they're treating her. They suck Brandon talking to you. You shouldn't be in business brand three. Oh, three three six six forty eight forty two. You have not seen the likes of anything like this, you haven't because this woman is basically getting screwed. And it's no fault of her own. So when you call them and have you ever talked to Brandon may shell brand and all the time. What is he say to you? Well, I've sent the pitchers, and then I call the insurance company, and they say, we send a gesture out, and he wouldn't let us on our show thirsting that they're victims. Basically, I want to be fair. Here they're saying that they got caught up in the red tape. Right. Right. Okay. Well, I want that to be known they could've told us that, but here's the deal. It doesn't matter. They did the work and as Mark said they do transmissions, so what they can take care of you and then go after seeing k they don't have to. They don't have to make you wait for months. I smell it use transmission. I smell some phony baloney. That's why they don't want her to talk to seeing K. She paid faith. They apparently paid six thousand four hundred and she had to pay half that thirty two hundred dollars. She paid for the whole thing. They bam visitor one way or another. You got screwed so badly. I can't believe it. Yes. What were you gonna say, I'd be tempted to get the car out of there and deal with those guys through court, you can get true? I mean, I'd like to know if is your car, even taking apart or where it if it's Dr what good it out of there. They said they took the transmission out of it. Original transmission next, the car came with is gone. That's the core. That's normal because they replaced transmissions for me cards just sitting out in the in the in the they took the old transmission out. They you. Can't they fix it? That aren't they in the transmission business? Okay. In case it double double A B. We screw you. Yeah. They said that seeing case they have to put in the warranty transmission that I paid for we we gotta get through am co- corporate to put pressure on these picks. We're going to go to Amco corporate. We're going to go to protect my car, but people who say something there is nothing better than consumer pressure. Not consumer a holes, not consumer jerks, not people who yell and scream vulgarities, but for pimp, Brandon for him to know that we're listening, and that we are going to go to war, and that you will tell everyone you know how screwed up this Amco is three zero three three six six forty eight forty two. Let's get a number for seeing k maybe Clinton could just put a quick call into him now because we have another hour to go, so let's call. And then just we'll figure out what car or transmission. This is and that's one four eight seven one east Colfax for the disgusting vile. Pieces of garb. Bage at Amco and pimp. Brandon out there with all the streetwalkers three oh three three six six forty eight forty two that's his number to let them know what you think because they thought..

I'm James Holman from the Washington Post, and this is the daily to for Monday, April in today's news, socialists when big in Spain's snap election. The NRA is gripped by infighting and President Trump counts on the supreme court to keep his tax returns. Private. The first the big idea. Rabbi. Yes row. L Goldstein was preparing to deliver his sermon in Powell California on Saturday morning. The final day of Passover when he walked into a synagogues banquet hall and heard the deafening bang only moments before Lori Gilbert K, his friend of two decades in a congregation at Shibata powei had stopped. The rabbi to ask what time is core would begin. That's a seasonal prayer meant to celebrate. And remember those who have died the sixty year old and her husband were there with their twenty two year old daughter. They wanted to honor Kay's mother the rabbi had just told her it would start at eleven thirty. So when you heard the bang Goldstein thought k may have fallen or that perhaps a table had toppled when he turned to look though, he saw not K, but a man wearing sunglasses and holding an assault rifle. The rabbi were called it a news conference on Sunday that he couldn't see the man's eyes. And he couldn't see his soul soon. There were more bangs moving in his direction, which Goldstein. We realized we're gunshots. The rabbi raised his hands in bullets badly mangled, his fingers shrapnel injured two others, both Israeli nationals before the shooter's gun miraculously jammed as the rabbi put it a nineteen year old man identified by thorns as John Ernest apparently white supremacist who had written a manifesto was chased from the synagogue and fled in a car. According to witnesses eventually he was arrested in his in custody Goldstein bleeding badly from his hands hurt at a group of young children outside including his four year old granddaughter. He made his way back into the banquet hall where he finally found K. She was lying on the ground unconscious beside her was her husband a physician who had tried to save her. But he had fainted. The couple's daughter emerged screaming. Ultimately the rabbi in the Israeli nationals survived their wounds, que did not. The third shooting victim al-magd Peretz was visiting from Israel. He was attending the synagogue with his family who moved to San Diego eight years ago from the town of stroke along Israel's border with the Gaza Strip to escape the onslaught of rocketfire their Peretz who still lives in Israel told a local TV station that dodging rocket fire has become instinctual and that those instincts saved his life. One of Peretz nieces, Noah Dahan, just nine was injured in the face and leg by shrapnel and was treated at a local hospital, the family moved to the United States to escape violence and to be able to worship in peace. Then a few years ago their home was spray painted with swastikas. Now the shooting. Tuhan told CNN that is children asked him on Saturday quote. Why are we staying here? At the news conference on Sunday afternoon. The rabbis did before reporters with his hands wrapped in bright blue bandages, the index finger on his right hand was missing a permanent reminder he'll have of the shooting. He thinks the mayor of power in the sheriff's department anything to President Trump to for fifteen minute phone call that he said made him feel supported. Then the rabbi took the opportunity before a captive audience to deliver the sermon that gunfire cut short on Saturday morning. The prophecy of Isaiah he explained is that quote the world is going to see a better day. Let's pray. He's right. And that's the big idea. Here are three other headlines that should be on your radar number one. The socialist party of Spanish, Prime minister. Pedro Sanchez won the snap election Sunday in a moment of bitter political polarization with almost all the votes counted, it looks like the socialists will win one hundred twenty three of the three hundred fifty seats in the congress of deputies. This is a strong endorsement of Sanchez's unapologetically left-wing policies, which have included a major pension overhaul and raising the minimum wage by twenty two percent. This year, the socialist party will in theory be able to form a governing coalition with the far left anti austerity put most faction, and it will probably gather the necessary one hundred seventy six seats by joining forces with a number of Basque regional parties podium loose signaled its willingness to work with Sanchez a social democrat. However, reluctantly Sunday's election was triggered by Sanchez's. Earlier failure to pass a twenty nineteen budget but deeper challenges overshadowed the. Test. A general frustration with the status quo that echoes the public discontent. Elsewhere in western Europe. There's also widespread anger over the Catalan independence crisis, which critics say the left. One government has failed to handle adequately. Number two. Oliver North the central figure of the Iran contra scandal was ousted as president of the National Rifle Association on Saturday one day after NRA executive vice president Wayne LOP year long the face of the group claimed that north had tried to extort him the power struggle, which LOP here appears to have one was centered on what some claimer exorbitant payments to the groups outside counsel and a lawsuit that the NRA is filed against its longtime public relations firm Ackerman McQueen Ackerman McQueen overseas NRA ATV, which has become increasingly hard right now just on gun issues. But on every issue the spat played out during the group's annual meeting in Indianapolis. Meanwhile, new York Attorney General Letitia James a democrat has opened an investigation into the NRA's tax exempt status number three Trump sees the supreme court as an ally. He even said last week that he thinks the five Republican appointed justices could protect him from. Impeachment. This is so fresh doubts about the court's impartiality. But Trump's confidence appears born of the fact that he's nominated two of the five justices that make up the courts conservative majority. Neal Gorsuch and Brett Cavanaugh the president told aides last week that he was pleased with Kavanagh's questioning in the census case in which it looks likely that the five conservatives will allow the government to ask questions about citizenship trying to coax him to retire. So that he can pick his replacement the president has been aggressively cultivating Justice, Clarence Thomas and his wife. Ginny Thomas, they've had private dinners together at the White House and Trump has been very accessible for MRs Thomas. She's a social conservative activists who vigorously opposes gay rights and abortion rights, Trump brags in meetings that he thinks he may get one or two more chances to remake the court because of his shrewd behind the scenes match nations and Ruth Bader Ginsburg health challenges. Trump also repeatedly refers to supreme court justices as Democrats and Republicans current and former aides set Trump is told White House officials that he's willing to take the battle over his tax returns to the supreme court. He believes strongly that he would win inside. Sources tell my colleague Josh dossey to legal advisers to the president say the White House is also planning to fight most of the subpoenas being issued by house investigators and they think they will have a receptive audience at the US court of appeals for the DC circuit. And then if they can't win they're at the supreme court. Every judge matters. And that's the daily to two for Monday, April twenty ninth. Thanks for listening. I'm James Hillman. "We can have you. Call three three Martino. Then we'll get to you. If you leave a number will call you back three. Oh, three Martino works all the time. If we're on the air it actually come. Through to the studio if we are elsewhere you voicemail or it goes to our apart. Not an apartment are our sweet our office, suite so three three seven one three talk. Today. We have guests from the referrallist I'll talk to him in a minute. And then we have well, we have an expert in from the referrals. Then we have some guests that we just want to say hi to do this as a matter of practice, we rotate through the referral issues. Have people say hi, we have our experts semi regularly. So all you have to do is listen, and you will learn or you can call three three seven one three talk. So now, let's talk about apartment living conditions there never used to be much. You can do about it nowadays, there are habitability standards in most municipalities, and at least that gives you a bare minimum of things that landlords have to do. It's really difficult though to enforce. And many times what we feel is inhabitable other people say. Sorry, charlie. It's not uninhabitable. What is going on with you JJ? I'm Tom Martino, by the way, those listening. This is what we do. We take complaints and problems questions, and we help JJ go ahead. I want to first start off by. Conversation. K J O. I recall this conversation, we were trying to talk, and I got really upset because I said you had to listen. So we could at least tell you what to do and how to do it. And we got we got off on the wrong foot. And I wanted to say that many times when people are upset they dump everything all at once because they want us to know, how bad things are or they want us to know, what injustice there is and they become their own worst enemy by just trying to tell people too much the other day, we had a woman going through a custody battle, and she she starts getting into how the the in-law murdered his wife in how the husband, you know, was purchased out of jail and just crazy stuff. So let's just start from the very beginning. As if I never heard anything you are calling to complain about living conditions in your apartment is that right? Yes, sir. So how long have you been how long have you been there? JJ? I've lived here. Eight years. Okay. What happened? What happened that all of a sudden, the conditions became horrible or? I have been here. My children have been living with. Here. I have signed a lease for new. Over I signed great on the twentieth for. On March eleven. Okay. So hold on to say JJ you've been in this current apartment for eight years and you signed a new lease with the same landlord. I have not with homeless and. That's fine. At this point. I don't need to know anything extra really you signed a new lease with the same landlord because you wanted to upgrade to a bigger better apartment, or what was what was the reason? Or children. Okay. So you wanted a bigger? And you so you wanted to bigger you wanted a bigger apartment. Okay. That that's. So you paid the deposit a while ago, and it had, but you didn't pay first month rent on that yet. Did you? Really? Okay. So wait a minute. Are you also being charged for the apartment you're in right now? Yes, I've been charged for the apartment. I am at. I'm an polled on giving me back. My deposits. Replaced by either know every if it isn't for eight years hold on not now. This sounds bad. When was the new apartment when was the new apartment supposed to be ready? They have never given me for sure day. But what I'm getting at is this did you pay rent in your current department for April? Yes, I did they fix out in March my rent paid. I get it. So you're paid up for this apartment in April. But you have a deposit and a first month rent on a new apartment and they net, and they're they can't tell you when the new apartment will be ready. Yes. And I've been polarized five management at their like their head out of spring. I have been told different things. Are you want bluetooth right now? JJ? On a bluetooth headset. I apologize. No. No. That's okay. Is his heart to talk to you. But if you're driving if you're driving I told over, okay? Restraining order. Resonate a tacky two days ago to to what I said about management. All right. So JJ I want to get this straight. You're in an apartment, you're current on your rent you've been there. Eight years. You're a good tenant. You ask to get a bigger apartment. You put down a deposit you put down your first month's rent. But that new apartment has been promised and promised, but they haven't delivered. When did you make that deposit again? Okay. So it's only a month later how much was that deposit? I had to pay my well, they would charge me for my first month. Right. And they pay on show. It was it was I rent Wednesday five. And so as my friend, though, I gave them like I told you it's thirty percent. I really don't feel comfortable, and I'm kind of embarrassed. And I don't feel. No, I understand I understand it subsidized. So it wasn't that much JJ. Listen, you're not the only one having subsidized I don't mind that you have subsidized rent. That's another program. You can if you have subsidies. And and you're good for you. Okay. I mean, I the only problem I have our when people cheat. So you put down a deposit and to you. It's a lot of money. No matter what. So let's yes. Go ahead. Besides putting down to the posits for treating I had to spend over a hundred dollars washing. I told you I only make two seventy three. Now this hold on on the bed bugs was this a butane for removing bedbugs in your new place or in your old place, and they have been providing a it's been a fourth treatment. I've had had told them that. It's in the carpet. Hold on. This is a clear cut issue. Thank you JJ for not crying falling apart and for talking to me. And I'm sorry. We got off on the wrong foot last time. I don't know how that happened. But maybe I was having a bad day. Anyway, here's the point. I think we call we have deputy death. Call and one somebody wanted to know if that was short for Daffy, it's not Daphne Daphne is her name just spelled weird. Although she has Daffy at times. She is let's face it. She is if that. That word that would describe her sometimes it, but Daffy in a good way. We're all of Daffy. What does she just I'm sorry? I walked up to posit bound. She's I'll get her that deposit, Mark. She wants to get into the new apartment. She needs it because she took in her niece and all that. So it's a very long story K. She has she just wants her bigger apartment. Hey, the woman's willing to pay. I want a bigger house. Yeah. Three oh, three seven one three talked on ICU there. You contacted us as I tell people to do and we're getting back to you on this raid on so I'm going to ask you to hang on. Okay, man. And I'll take you right after the break Cole. Don. All right, man. Yup. Fine. I was tired anyway. Gerda stormed out of the house. There was no handshake. No, hugs Gert is is stung hot with tears. This had never happened before as she made her way next door, she peered through the window into the living room where k sat on the floor looking very cross. She had never seen him. Look like that before she shook her head and pulled her scarf tighter around her neck, hopefully K would sleep off that bad mood by the morning. But K did not sleep off his foul mood. In fact, it only seemed to grow and Gerda no longer recognized her friend in the spring when the flowers bloomed in their window boxes. K insisted that they were hideous and ripped out the roses knocking over the boxes. Spilling soil all over the street. He taunted their classmates and the other children's started to avoid him Gerda felt bad for Kay. He became ostracized and was forced to eat alone. Every time he saw Gerda. He told her that she was ugly this hurt Gert 'as feelings, but she knew something had happened to k-. This wasn't like him. And yet the next winter came and nothing had thawed ks icy heart, but that didn't stop Gerda from treating k with kindness when she saw him. She no longer tried to spend time with him and played with other children in the village. But she held out hope that he would come back to his old self one day as Gerda was heading home with cookies from the Christmas market for her mother. She saw K standing in front of his house with a sled. He waved to her. Hey, Gerda come sled with me. He had. Mischievous grin that made her uneasy. But it was always in her nature to give the benefit of the doubt Gerda agreed and followed him out to a meadow outside the main square that was quilted with the most pristine blanket of snow quiet rolling hills. Perfect for sledding, get on Gerda, I'll pull you k- insisted Gerda tentatively climbed on the wooden sled eager to have her friend back but cautious. He might be up to something. No sooner had Gerda sat down then K jerked. The rope as hard as he could almost sending her flying off the back of it k- clearly wanted to hurt her. He ran fast changing directions on a whim. So that Gerda was whipped this way. And that always on the verge of tipping over slowdown Gerda called snow whipping in her face stinging, her K. Laughed harder.
