What Is the State of the Commercial Aviation Industry
"So let's dive into it. We're Most of the way through the conference this week. We've heard a lot. It's been a couple of days. A lot of presentations. Lots of people talking. I wanna start with a general feeling as to what the state of the commercial aviation industry is from what you're hearing if you choose one or two words. What would you say is the zeitgeist here. Ron yeah i. I'd say optimistic You know the one statistic that kind of jumps out to me is. There's took broad consensus that the industry could be back to twenty nine hundred air traffic levels by late. Twenty two mid twenty three something like that's where you know. The consensus here seems to be too depending on the platform depending on the market that kind of thing but a general optimism richer. What do you think yeah. you know. Strong agreement cautious optimism. We've never seen such a profound bifurcation between unprecedented traffic drops by the economy holding up. But usually they kind of travel he economic disaster coupled with traffic disaster. Here we only had one Bizarrely enough so i think is a feeling that is things returned to life so we'll degrade machine that is the industry can. What do you think about what the crowd here is thinking. I think bifurcation the word richard use and stole was going to use that word but but it is clear that there's a bifurcation between domestic international travel so when we talk about our peak as coming back. That's the mix. But i think i think the theme is that domestic travel is going to recover much faster. Us and china domestic travels fifty five percent of all domestic arba gays and In our in domestic travel is going to be back probably twenty twenty two and that probably underpinned some of the announced since we've seen from airbus about rate increases.

Do Your People Believe You Lead With Fairness
"For this week's episode. I wanna talk about the interview. I just had with ron carucci author of the new book to be honest. The book details four factors company should look at. When determining whether they're at risk for the types of headlines we've seen in recent years from companies like wells fargo and volkswagen. This is a true thoughtful thursday. Because i've been thinking about something. Ron said to me this interview all day. You'll be able to listen to him articulate all this much better than me and a couple of weeks when his injury publishes but i did ask him what individual leaders can do to ensure their words and their actions line up with each other and with high standards of ethical honest leadership. He said something individual leaders can do right away is think about and write down ten different scenarios that might fallen an or moral gray area. Then give the list of their people on their team and ask them what they believe. The leader would do in these scenarios. How would they react. What would the outcome be. But the other thing they need to ask people to do is time how long it took to settle on an answer for each question. Do the inherently know how their leader would respond or did it take a minute or two to feel confident in an answer. I i love that. He had to write these things down. Anyone listening right now. Who has heard even one or two episodes of the show knows. Lorenzo and i are huge fans of writing things down as part of these exercises. It's much harder to let yourself off the hook when your commitments are staring back at you from paper but the reason is stuck with me all day since our interview is because thinking about doing this exercise with people reporting to me made me a little uneasy. Now i'd like to think i'm an honest ethical person. I like to think my people would know in a millisecond. What i do ethically gray situation but even if i'm an absolute pillar of honesty and integrity if i've not been purposeful with my people on making sure they see examples of this all. The time is getting the benefit of team. Who believes in me like they. Should you see if you're a leader of people. The appearance of propriety is just as important as actual propriety. The appearance of fairness and ethics is just as important as actual fairness and ethics. Knowing that you do the right thing even if no one was looking is great but if your people aren't confident you do it. It doesn't matter so the next time you find yourself having to make a decision where leaned on personal values of fairness integrity or justice. Be vocal about your decision making process with people. Show them examples of why these things are important to you. You never know you'll need them to give you the benefit of the doubt in the future.
GOP Senators Claim 'Unequal Justice' in Capitol Riots Compared to Protests
"Justice must be administered equally. Republican senators demand answers for 2020 riots and Capitol Hill riot from Department of Justice. Group of Republican senators sent a letter to Attorney General Merrick Garland demanding answers regarding punishments for those who stormed the capital in January six and those who ride it over the spring and summer 2020. So the daily caller first obtained the letter, in other words, was leaked to them. Which was sent to the Department of Justice by these senators. Ron Johnson, Ted Cruz, Tommy Tucker Field at Tuberville. Excuse me, Mike Lee and Rick Scott. The letter, the group of Republicans Why only five? Let's 123 where all the rest of the Republican senators, every damn one of them should be signing this letter. In the letter, the group of GOP senators draw parallels between the treatment of the capital riders to the treatment of riders throughout the spring and summer 2020 and call for clarifications on punishment. At the spring and summer 2020. There were nonstop protests and riots after the death of George Floyd cities were set on fire in companies in small businesses were looted across the country. Republican senators Asked, among other questions, how many people were arrested for committing crimes during the 2020 spring and summer riots in federal law enforcement used Geo location data. For defendants cell phones to track riders down how many of the rioters were released on bail? The federal law enforcement utilized Geo location data from defended cell phones to track prosecutors associated with the unrest in the spring and summer 2020. If so, how many times and for what locations and riots? How many individuals who may have committed crimes associated with protests in the spring and summer 2020 were arrested by law enforcement using pre dawn raids and SWAT teams. These are damn good questions. But you only have 10% of the Republicans who signed this letter. Where's the other 50? Excuse me 45

How to Mentally Getting Back Into Running After an Injury
"Know. I probably sound like a parrot that just keeps repeating herself but also always think it can be beneficial to talk to a trained expert weather. It is a sports psychologist or a therapist or anyone who might have experience helping people through this. Even a running coach can be really helpful when it comes to this. They're obviously not her most of them. I would assume are not licensed psychologists or licensed therapist but They are experts in their field. Who can advise you on the next step forward and certainly i would assume that any experienced incredible running coach has worked with runners who have injuries and setbacks or perhaps they've had their own so I think that the community aspect of it's really important. I'm so glad that the alley on the run show. Dr. Fauci's Emails Prove He Knew of Wuhan Gain of Function Research
"Today is the emails now. I'm going to take a different approach at first novel. Go into the more conventional. Take here it seems as if the washington post has decided to actually do a rare form of journalism. They filled out a freedom of information. Requests that foia a freedom of information act in fact. We talked about this at length on our podcast yesterday. That filling out a freedom of information act is one of the few ways to actually hold these tyrants these despots accountable so the washington post has now published thousands and thousands of private emails from dr anthony fauci. Some of them are rather boring and answering questions to celebrities and producers how he has time to do that not exactly sure thousands of emails. Just saying thanks then. There are some groundbreaking emails. Now before i get into these emails. I do not believe that this is all a coincidence. I don't believe the washington post would do this that some sort of a wink a nod a gesture. A point from ron clain. You see. I think that somebody wants dr anthony out she removed. I believe that and this is reflected in the emails. We're gonna get into it toys. Always the emails isn't it so funny how that works. I believe that the evidence is now overwhelming that the chinese corona virus was manufacturing in a laboratory. I believe dr anthony. Fauci was more involved than people realize. I believe that he was intimately into the wuhan institute of technology because of that and because of now the sudden interest and finding out where the virus came from. And how the evidence is showing this the not come from a bat. This did not come from the himalayan mountains. This did not come from a wet market. This came from a biolab that dr fauci very well might have visited himself but we do know that. The national institute of health funded the wuhan institute of technology through gain of function research.
Governor Ron DeSantis Conserves Conservatism
"I like that. I like your style. I like your style. Jim. We gotta book at at Les lightsaber in the front and back. Of Iran Kenobi. Run the Skywalker. Round to detail. Now there's a little debate I had with the not really a debate, but I was charged with the W F T. Everything You Need to Know About the Long Run With Coach Jess Movold
"As you mentioned the long run is just this specific ron during the week where you're spending more time in your feet and perhaps the other days and relevant to whatever it is that you're going after so whereas you could be training for a ten k and you're long run would be six eight miles max versus training for a marathon. Where over time amo. That long bryden gets up. Eighteen nineteen twenty excetera depending on your training plan now for someone gearing up for their long run. What are a few things that you would recommend to them to do. What you prepare. Well i think to take it seriously. You know to put it on your calendar on a day where you feel you know i think yes. The long run falls on the weekends for so many. But it doesn't have to be your training plan. Be customized to your schedule that works best but it does need to be pretty routinely placed within that you know seven day block that you can buy or ties it you can you know. Commit to ninety plus minutes because technically that's where the long run turns into the long run ninety minutes or more you know you want to be able to make it routine so prioritizing it mentally managing expectations and knowing that the purpose of the long run is to complete it you know and i think it's an opportunity to work through mental obstacles mental hurdles mental things that are challenging learning how to work through them. It is the absolute perfect time to introduce fuelling. If that's new for you to find a source of fuel that you can work with or see if it works for you and clean outs. Bathrooms plan out water. Stops things that you can get ahead of you know on race day. Where setup there's potties you know in a perfect world. There's places to go to the bathroom. There's water and or other sources of hydration but the long run. It's all up to you so that's a good time to wear that outfit so you don't look at the finish line to bring the fuel to try out a hydration pack Not to try out new shoes. You can get new shoes and you know i would suggest four to six miles in a new pair of shoes and if it works then introduce them into your long run but the the best part about the long run is he. Just go and get it done.
Ron Desantis On Crazy People
"So he was wrong to Santos at a press conference, pointing out the fact that the media for years of excuse me months, not years, precision matters said all that, Rhonda said this a conservative in Florida. What a terrible job handed the handle in the Corona virus. They call them Death. Santa's Florida What a mess Now that Florida's emerged from the Corona virus is one of the best performers not the worst, like Andrew Cuomo when the Liberals in New Jersey I understand this has had kind of enough of that crap. So he was him an oppressor the other day when they ask him about who the real crazy people are. Check this out. Normally, it's not all of our different normally open then. So so this is one of the first ones. I think they sent, like one of the corporate media outlets sent some reporter down. They were trying to make fun of Baker. Like all these yokels or having kids going school. How? How crazy are these people, right? Crazy people are the ones that are vaccinated. Still wearing six mass in New York City, I mean, to be honest with you.
Reeling Rockies Swept in Doubleheader by Mets
"The injury hits. Just keep on coming for the mets noah. Syndergaard has been shut down for at least six weeks. The quote from luis rojas manager the sits big counting on being a month from now. This happening is tough. We pray he can pitch for us this year. I'm going to be talking with carl. Why i kinda wonder if that's even a possibility. And i'll explain why this is going to get really really complicated for all involved now. The mets have been ravaged by all these injuries lately but they had a great day on thursday. This was in game one first-pitch peraza to high drive deep to left top back near the wall. That bom jose peraza gets the mets won on their road. Maybe five today. A park homer off herrmann. Mark has and the mets take one. Nothing lead that from wcbs and one. Ron was all that marcus. Stroman and edwin d as needed strowman was outstanding. Played his position. Great so they won game one and they won game two sweeping the doubleheader giving them at some momentum this weekend series they have against the atlanta braves at citi field on sunday night this weekend. Jacob degrom pitching against the braves. Charlie morton
Outer Banks Communities See Beach Re-Nourishment as a Lifeline
"In summer. Tourists flock to the outer banks barrier islands off the coast of north carolina the islands are famous for pristine sandy beaches with those beaches are washing away. Senator Ron Johnson Take On Hunter Biden
"The interview by first acknowledging the incredible work you've done trying to expose the hunter Biden scandal under an onslaught of media attacks them calling you their standard, You know, Conspiracy theorist. All this other nonsense. You had been one of the voices out there saying, Hey, we've got a problem here. We've got the son of the former vice president, now president with some potential business dealings that appear shady at best. So the first question I'd like to pose to you is Joe Biden has consistently said senator on tape that he had no knowledge of what his son was up to in Ukraine, China and Russia. And yet we find out thanks to the reporting of Miranda Divine, which I'll get to later in the show today. It appears Mr Biden was at a dinner with some of these business partners. Hunter Biden had And we just saw that the report in New York Post but you know he's been outright lying. And you said, we've been trying to expose us that's almost as big a story as biting, inking the corruption of the fighting family and all their foreign business entanglements. Is the media suppression of that information, which is, from my standpoint pretty down relevant to the American public. Certainly before the excited choose a president that is gonna have to do and conduct foreign policy with all these nations that have, who knows how much information how much compromise is there? You know these business dealings, so it's an enormous scandal, Dan. It goes way beyond Across from the Biden family and really goes in the correction corruption. The media
Los Angeles Lakers Come up Short Against Phoenix Suns in Game 1
"The start that we wanted Lakers fall to the Phoenix Suns. They they lose this one, the opener of the series, the playoffs started, but nobody told the Lakers certainly a lackluster performance. We're going to bring it all down. Talk you through it. We're going to get through the good witch, won't take too long, and then we're going to get to the bad, and we're going to talk about everything that the Lakers going to do is to change for the next game. Coming up game to walk again. Not the way you want to see the Lakers start. But I will say they dropped game one last year as well and two different series and still managed to win the whole thing. So, again, this doesn't mean the sky is falling off. This was not a great start for sure. Joining me today is Ron government and Chris the Masterpiece Masters. How are you guys holding up? Not not particularly great. I mean, this was not the ideal start to the playoffs. They definitely they lost last year in game one. Two times in a row, but I felt a little different this time a little bit more. More went wrong today than I anticipated. But, you know, there there are some good stuff to break down and there's a lot of bad to break down. Mm. Yeah. I kind of a color on saying, you know, I keep telling myself again, going back to what you guys are saying. And last year, you know, LeBron James, you know, first game is always a field game but often disappointing. Obviously we're a little disappointed. I mean, I know I'm disappointed cuz of, you know, like yesterday the Clippers lost and I was so happy, they open their series with the loss and you count off after today and it's like, yeah, it might be a few of our game but you still don't want your team to lose the first game of the opening round of the playoffs. You want to start on a good on a good know, you want to get a win but, you know, off, A lot of basketball to be played. Right?

"You know that one obviously hits succeeds at every attack. But even when i see something that doesn't resonate with me like a couple of movies that are like winning oscars and stuff. I'm like as long as you made the movie you wanted to make. I liked this movie to me. The definition of a successful movie now is that the person that made it got to make the movie they wanted to make and watching that with eric was like to. You made the move. You did exactly what you set up to do. You do not compromise one bit and that adds more even more joy for me. It's beautiful i just go. I don't know when the last time. You really have to do the voice though to get the full impact that you'd have to do the nancy. Where's my fucking bomb. Say ron talking you. It is distracting. You do very much. Have your dad's voice and and i'll say as well. I noticed this notice this many times before but you have his charm as well. And i'm just it's very disturbing. It's really funny when you swear. Magin him as i shape. Shift your dad. Yeah let me ask you have to ask you. What would your father think of. Donald trump what would he think of what transpired yesterday. What would ronald reagan. Make of all of this well as yesterday. He'd be ashamed of appalled shamed but he's not. My father wasn't a stupid guy. My father read people pretty well and he would have seen through donald trump in about thirty seconds as should we all have seen through donald trump. listen to what. How did this man end up. Where he he ended up he started out with a racist lie about barack obama. Well that should've disqualified him right there now. This bullshit lie about barack obama that he kept up for years pretending that he was conducting some big investigation. That should've disqualified him right there but not in. Today's republican party would have twenty years ago but nine. Today's republican party. Today's republican party. It's all about winning. And don well gets us. The win will go with him adding all okay well again. I don't know how you were raised. And i don't know what kind of this is using the president of the united states there. Well i just please again with the language. But i i do agree you know. I think there's an attempt by I'm a hack amateur historian. And i've noticed that there's an attempt to find What's the precedent for this in american history and people will look at the republican party. And the look for dog whistles. And they'll look for things and they'll find trace evidence here and there and i think you know what this there isn't i i don't see it i don't see I know that there have been people that have tried to see well. This is a long standing. Something it's come to fruition but donald trump is to me he begins and ends with donald trump. Because i i grew up. I came of age in the in the eighties. "I love the idea that i have to fill you in on everything but yesterday was indeed a a dark day. For our nation a mob insurrectionist mob charging the capital invading. The capital four people are dead. Many people injured. I think many of people at the capitol hill police are are injured. And it's just a tragedy that easily avoidable tragedy. And i realized that you are on the scheduled to talk and i thought maybe it should be a different conversation. Maybe this is the perfect time to talk to to you. Ron and and first of all i looked at everything was transpired yesterday and i realized oh my god what happened to the republican party in this country. And i know that this is a common source of discussion but who better to be talking to right. Now i think I think that you are The i was thinking about this yesterday. Who's republican figure from the recent past. Who could have materialized yesterday and gotten that crowd's attention. I don't think a recent republican president could have done that. Think ronald reagan. Your father still has a place in the hearts and minds of many americans. And if i think if he had materialized and said please shut up and go home bet if done that am i. Do you feel the same way No i don't. I think we're way past that now. I wish it were true. I wish maybe it's wishful thinking on my part. I think your dad obviously is the point of making. He's held in. He's he's still held in very regard By a rank and file republicans everywhere and so. Maybe that's wishful thinking on my part. Well i think you're you're certainly right. He had more moral authority. And if or if you like character logical authority to do something like that. But i i think we're way past that now i think that's There's no chance for these. Are people who you know who wanted to do what they did. And they were given permission to do what they did by. The president of the united states ryan clearly knew what he was doing knew what he was inciting and then when it happened sat back and enjoyed it for hours apparently was watching in the oval office and by several accounts happy. That people were wearing his merchandise. Which sounds like which sounds like making a joke. But i'm not he really is on a purely pathological level. He's happy to see people. Some there are more trump flags than there were american flags and i think he's proud of that. I think we make a lot of mistakes. With donald trump. one of them is is acting as if his presidency has something to do with you. Know policy and statesmanship or or anything else as opposed to simply being gripped which had always has been started as a gift and it continued as a gift and this is part of the gripped moving forward or so. He hopes and he's got seventy whatever million people who voted for them if he can get half of those people to send him six bucks a month for his newsletter or twitter rant or whatever the hell he's offering up whatever's next scam will be he's going to be a very rich man or so he hopes this is all been about monetize. This and and the other thing. I think we really have to start coming to grips with though is not just looking at donald trump. Who's florida lee mentally. Ill i mean i. I was listening to john. "Hey there and welcome to a unique. And i think a bit unusual episode of conan. O'brien needs a friend as you're probably aware not a a political comedian. That's not my neil. You usually keep my opinions to myself but yesterday was a terrible day at the capitol. The storming by an insurrection est mob of the capitol building and it was such an upsetting day for me and my family and just everyone i know and i think for any sentient american. That was very upsetting day so We realized at that point and this is unusual. That a while ago i had seen ron reagan. Junior former president reagan's son giving Interview documentary and. I was watching him. And i'm a history buff. And i thought i'd really like to talk to him. He seems like he's a very smart and Of course also. He's very funny and witty. And so we arranged to set up an interview with him that was gonna be just a regular interview and then the interview was scheduled for today and today is the day after the insurrectionist attack on the capitol building. So it just so happens. That i was talking to ron reagan. Junior at this perfect time so we decided to make it kind of a special episode. We're just gonna talk about what happened at the capital. We're going to also just talk about what's happened to the republican party. In general and i think ron reagan. Junior has a good perspective on that and a unique perspective on that and we are going to let this go out unedited. It's not going out at the usual time. And i'll say is If you're not interested in hearing any discussion of politics right now. This isn't what you want from conan. O'brien needs a friend. You don't have to listen. will be Will be back with a regular show on monday. But this is something i wanted to talk about. So it's in your hands now. And i really really do I'm looking forward to this conversation. So let's get started ron reagan junior. Today's conversation is is a little different. I often talk to comedians about comedy. I occasionally stray And this is a complete accident. But i think it could very fortunate one Happen to be watching a documentary on the reagans and and the reagan era in office and has watching the documentary. I'm an amateur history. Buff and And behold ron reagan. Junior appears often throughout the documentary. And i'm watching him. And i'm saying there's a guy that's had a lot of therapy Appears who appears very. He just has a. You're extremely likable And and you're also someone who seems very nuanced and just a good human being. And i thought i'd like to speak to ron reagan. Junior i went to my bookers and i said. Do you think you'd wanna talk to me this all before the events that just transpired at the capital the charging now ron. I know you don't get out a lot. Yeah yeah let me start with about four years ago. Donald trump was elected president. The real estate tycoon. Yeah well listen that we have to catch you up on a lot and gilligan's island still cancels..

I think I think it's the cannot can ask one musical questions We talked about this on on Friday because it was the day that the Beatles landed in New York. And you were there to to greet them at the airport. Last night was when they played on Ed Sullivan. Do you remember watching them to. What was it sitting in my room watching him? Now you would black and white television the Where to televisions in the house? There was an neither was color. We did not get colored till nineteen sixty six on on a small television in my room and I sat and watched it and felt like screaming like everybody else felt like screaming. 'cause you understood that part of you not the cognitive part. The emotional part understood that this was changing your life this change in your life. It was the revolution in the beginning of the revolution of young people. Then and then we every twenty years as a revolution of young people. There's one now having to do with the environment that one didn't have to do with the environment we didn't know anything was was wrong about the environment with no idea. Something's wrong about the environment that one had to do with sex drugs and rock and roll. I mean that's you know so anyway. Yes I did see it I did. They did like five songs over. Quick right yeah they you know they were on three weeks in a row wants from Miami. I think yes and they did a bunch of songs and they did it twice and they were great But the songs didn't all sound completely like they sounded on on on the records I WANNA hold. Your hand sounded significantly different. And then Paul Pulled that song. Where his what's the tiller was you you were saying soy sauce sore? Who's this guy was going on anyway so I wanted to talk about the XFL? I watched I don't want to all of it. I went back and forth with the Golf I watched. I don't know the teams and I don't know the players I had a defenders and dragon. Yeah there's there's going GONNA be. Thinking dragoons every single. XFL Game this season if they make it through the whole season or even if they don't every every single once gives me is gonna be on television either on Fox or ESPN rabies. Everyone is going to be on which is a great way to make money though. I don't know what they sold the rights for. But it's a great way to to keep your product in front of the American public. There are this is the part. I absolutely absolutely didn't understand. There was a line on all these games. Don't even know players are you. Don't know the names of the teams. How you Bagwell? How these Games they do? I mean the the people making the lines have done the war on the radio to with your foolish enough enough. They've got algorithms. I don't know but I I mean they figure if you're foolish enough to bet on this more power to you not just that they had like season total over under one. There's WHOA total football. You can't name the teams in the League or not. I would assume the only guy ever heard of on the Washington Not Washington. DC team was was car deal Jones as well look like he had missed many meals. Yeah he looked to little John Hot three hundred and you know and and in the I I have heard of Landry Jones. Yeah Yeah I mean. There's both quarterbacks were thrown ground balls you know about a second second half was good like football second look like football football. So that's you know the Washington Post it coverage may or may not matter may off. TV It may. I don't know the Washington Post put. Yesterday's Today's two games in the roundup under the announced in the roundup not its own separate story under the announcement of the steelers signing wide receivers coach sign much. They don't have a dedicated. XFL What do we think so. I I was flipping around. I mean I I watched some of. It wasn't an appointment. They let you hear every play being called they are completely transparent on replay which was cool. That's career extra point is great the NFL should adopt it immediately just like the NBA took the Aba. Three point shot immediate. Just doing I didn't see anything with with respect to ratings but I know just anecdotally from social media and stuff it appeared like people were enjoying it. I mean it seemed to. I don't think a single person in that crowd bought bought a ticket just tickets to run around thirty bucks for defender free when the camera would pan to the crowd with some bloke doc deck down in a costume defender stuff you like. I really feel like he was planning to their words. I love this young people in this city. And you have time to do this if you're if you're ABC or FOX ESPN ABC Fox. And you don't pay for the House. You're insane okay. So you gotta pay the Ratings Point Point. They'll want an empty stated vendors dragons game on. ABC Three Point three million. Wow last year the ATF Ashraf first game two point nine million by way of context the ABC. Friday night debate. I'm sure you all watch three point seven so a football game between two teams. You've never heard of young players you know just three point three million by the way on regular regular. ESPN three point three million on a regular NBA game. You Kill to have to young college game. Don't get anywhere near that. On regular game in football by the way wasn't great. This wasn't a great to see the old Maroon and black and yellow on the sideline uh-huh Insane interview the clatter buyers waiting for the course now Zorno of course going to do but I was waiting for some courses. Ah Curses in Georgia was funny. Point was telling US quarterback be stingy. Now be stingy. Yeah well PEP Hamilton. Said you know. BE PATIENT CARD right to cardiology the patients. That's a double pass thing it was. Did you watch. I didn't but I'm excited. I will watch going. I'll be honest. I forgot all asleep and then I was was watching the Gulf but I was I was looking into the post coverage in this. It was very much angled towards my generation. Trying to say this is your chance to reconnect with football. Yes in a way. That's not supporting Snyder and asked handing out to great signs with the H.. T. T. D.. which we all know what the defenders like Ashtec sell the team De ed? I wish the morale in the world history tells us it won't last their stuff can learn some stuff from their stuff. The extra point was great. Yeah I like this with the replay. You know I mean and terrific uniforms so really. It sounds downs. Fast and people responded to that you need to see breakout stars early pant let me just say this is. Running clock was designed to get you out of the game in two two hours fifty. It was three ten three ten so you you know. That's that's fake news. That's a false promise but no no collusion. I watched it and Raba Watch. I wouldn't I'm not ready to watch the other teams at all your name. Would you go to a game. I I'm going I'm going. What are they paying him? It's cold all pick you up. We'll take the boys. Yeah I'm taking but you have to stay for the full game on. aww That's a deal breaker ladies imagine if you're watching local coverage if you saw him in the fourth quarter to with like a defenders packet is that who I think get is a jacket. What would it take one hundred thousand dollars? There's no amount of money on it's cold you know they're playing. It's too call now. If we get into fifty degrees to march to April like their last game is in April and then he could play golf. We'll no but I would. I would go to one game. I'd go to one. How long is this season? Does anyone know forty eight games. I forty eight Kim said yes. XFL No there's not a league so there's just seven Seven Games Division. Championships are April eighteenth and Nineteenth Accident Championship. Game April twenty going to wrap it up. FORBE's forty regular dealers season games in three playoffs. So that's eight games the team. But how do you do that. If if there's only eight teams in the league that'd be seven. We Bring Spears team at the end round robin the APP team. Some of these guys interested in that same week's game next week big match I ninety five DC guardians. I'm I'm sorry. The New York Guardians at the DC Dell next week to show. I never some players in this league. I'm sure our. Nfl Oh yeah you know not NFL NFL star capable because they'd be in the NFL guys. Christine Michael I saw over the weekend. He was only football in this half and Oliver Luck said he has no interesting signings. So here's here's something to be said The the D. League or the G. League or whatever they call it geely nobody goes to those games hundred. Go to those games. There's no interest in that minor league none zero and this is a minor league in football. And I'm sure they pay the house but at some point. Somebody's gotTA BY TICKET AND WE'LL SEE if they buy ticket. Yeah let me just In briefly note the passing of Robert Conrad at eighty four He's a tough guy knocking off when it was cool to talk guy. That battery battery shoulder said go ahead. Roger Roger Com passed away at the age of ninety two. So I will. I will do this briefly and we will get out of the segment. Roger pecan wrote On anybody's list of the top five to ten sports books of all time you will find the boys of summer. This was a reminiscence by Roger Kahn. About the days. He as a young sportswriter at the Herald Tribune. I think maybe the world telegram covered the dodgers the dodgers of Jackie Robinson. And Pee wee reese and Gil Hodges and Ralph Branka and Don Newcombe and Roy Campanella the one of the greatest most beloved teams of all time when they were in Brooklyn And it's great book. It is a great book by any stretch of the imagination. It's a great book and Roger Conroy. To a whole lot of books none as successful as that may be as good. But but none as successful as that in the mid nineteen seventies when the New York Times created. Something called Sports Monday. The first standalone sports section the New York Times had ever created needed. I was on the staff and Roger. Kahn was somebody who was brought in to write columns for that section. I met him once very very briefly. Pleasant pleasant you know. I don't have any other memory other than he was pleasant but he was the get. Here's the biggest name that you could possibly get in sports writing at that at that point And and the columns were. They weren't great because he hadn't done it in such a long time. It's Roger Kahn. For me he is the cautionary tales. A lot of people out there people say. Why don't you write anymore? Because I can't have that muscle anymore. I'm not going to go out there and make I make a fool of myself enough. I'm not GonNa do it in something. I really respect which is writing. I mean this stuff was okay but it wasn't great and that's sort of what happens because you just can't parachute in and do this thing like you used to do you. Could I would happily let you run my old work. I still wanted to anything new because I can't do it and he was really really good. This book stands alone. It's a great book. It's not what a great sports book. It's a great book. The boys of sunset great quantites not an IT predates Don Henley is in the in the times they quote themselves of course because it's times what they call themselves baseball book the Same Way Moby Dick Fishing Book. It's a great it's it is and it's a really great eight book so all right we'll get out of here and we will do old guy radio when we return where I will talk about the XFL. which I I watched as did I? I watched we talk all about it. I'm Tony.

Mr Tony Oni Also the tough afternoon for the wizards is they fall to the grizzlies and a good match. One of six to ninety nine. That was an early start about six last night. So I went in and out of that game. The wizards were up. They were up eight nine ten points in the first quarter in the second quarter was They were plus eight at the half. They were tied for much of the fourth quarter than John Morand. Who's going to be the rookie of the year? Had the first rookie triple double this year. Twenty seven ten and Tan. Did you see Bradley. Beal's quotes on camera. No they're incredible. I heard him on the way in in this morning. He says I mean we pretty much shut him down in the first half Pretty good in the third quarter to I was like yeah but he dominated the floor for soccer game. The Wizards with fourteen in the fourth quarter. The wizards are playing ten guys. And they're playing them a lot of minutes. I need as Scott Brooks the current coach. The Wizards tries to find formulas that work every every game another wizard looks very good. Honestly Komo Wagner luxury good or more looks very good or ish. Smith looks very good Bradley. Beal very good and then the next game. That guy doesn't look very good and they got to go to somebody else. Would you have on this team as a whole bunch of players. Who are okay okay? They're not real good. They're eighteen and thirty three. They're in a group with the Knicks and the Hornets and the Hawks and the Bulls and Detroit. Anybody one of them is going to make the playoffs. Yeah no one of them is getting into under five hundred record. One of them will get into the playoffs. They're just not very good team. And you lose at home like this. The the Memphis Grizzlies are far better this year than they have been last year the year before that they are better off without Andre Iguodala even on the roster. Yeah I mean. They've Jaren Jackson. Junior John. Moran both of whom are pretty good standing and Devon Brooks who was not good last night for for seventeen from the kid from Oregon Has Been Dillon Brooks yes and who has been pretty good. I mean they have not terrible roster. Yeah so over five hundred by the end of that we put them over you. Yes right primary. Thank Gosh in New Hampshire. Yes can I. And it is is going by the same same setup. According to a lot more polling available in the polling will be more reliable. It's easier to pull appropriate in a caucus you're looking at Bernie and Buda judge again competing for verse and Biden. Potentially there's a tracking poll. So they do it every night. There's a tracking poll that suggests Biden could would finish Fifth Noren and clothing stunned club shirts trending though then he's done right then he has to stop. Well so he's he's I would say he's. He's ninety eight percent done. If he comes in fifth he does not however have to stop. He's got the money I mean. Well he has no. He doesn't have the the money to to get through to totally out of South Carolina. You could. He could travel to Nevada and travel to South Carolina but he does not have the money to to to run advertisements. Advertise okay so there are two questions that suggests themselves. This is far from. This is the first time where's hunter. This is the first time I'm that people will actually vote in the way that we understand voting this thing in Iowa raising hands since nonce that people commendable the New New York Times piece is voting called epic epic failure about that. If you read two paragraphs of it and you're like how does this is this allowed the nonsense. This is not nonsense. Now this is this is an electorate that may not look like the rest of America. Because there's a lot of states majority the majority of states may not look new. Hampshire is the third way to state in the country New Hampshire. Has How many people in New Hampshire there over million people in New Hampshire. Yes because it has two congressional districts and the districts are now about six hundred. It's probably about one guessing. One point four fifteen smallest state in the Congo if not one of the one point three five six million two thousand eighteen. It's not a lot of people but the other question is the. It's the larger question him and this comes out of a conversation. I had with Steve Watson yesterday who was was at one point a Republican strategist and he posed. This and I'll I'll do it to Chris. At what point is Mike Bloomberg have to actually get his hands dirty and not just to fly over advertising which is very effective of and very lovely but what at some point. He's going to have to put his name on a ballot right. Yeah Marci Word People March third. He will continue to do fly over advertising. I mean remember That I the first four states are small what we call retail politics which means Nevada. Hands Minute Kit Right. The Nevada Nevada is a big state size wise but in terms of population. That's all in Las Vegas and Reno effectively and the rest of America to a democratic caucus south of Carolinas still a pretty manageable state after that the process opens up March third. which they're calling Super Tuesday? I think fourteen states vote including Texas and California which took the three biggest delegate halls. You can just run. T. In fact you probably have to just run teams. You can go do an appearance in Huston you know you can go to Sacramento or more likely. La into an appears. But it's not like Iowa where you spend eighty days there But he will be on the ballot. Starting March third in his goal is to rack up tawny delegates in those states. which by the way if you look at? There's not been that much polling done brief we'll get gun in California or Texas you know he's in the mix and again the best thing for Mike Bloomberg would be a a out or very badly damaged. Joe Biden heading into March third and as of whatever February tenth. That seems pretty pretty likely. Yeah okay. And he's now three hundred and fifty million on television advertising. which if you look up the Washington Post says this great graphic of what does whatever might bloomber expense? What is is that like in our life and I looked up he was at two hundred and fifty million and I looked up in my life? What two hundred fifty million is to me? It's it's a slot at starbucks. Excuse me that that's how rich she is and self made and this is like when Michael Jordan. That's a a lot of money and it. Just it doesn't mean anything Michael Jordan. It doesn't Michael Jordan. There's no amount of money in the world that Nike could pay him on a yearly basis. That would do the justice to what he has done for Nike. This just not. I don't care if they pay him a hundred million dollars a year. He's worth more than that. So what else the baseball Mr Tony. One deal dead. Lot Larry Fitzgerald has now won this thing twice with Kevin Stroman suspect there's some issue regarding his handicap in the in the golfing offing Circle Sadleir Fitzgerald has a higher down as a six and it was up to a nine for this tournament. You can take just about any exactly when people sent blank cheques. No for us to fill out now. That would be helpful for situation. No no I'm I'm not get into There's a couple of things that were going to open with. We're gonNA open with things actually that the Gulf happened over the weekend both yesterday and Saturday and of course Friday and Thursday and the UNC Duke became almost dealt with the UNC game because the it look the UNC. Duke game is a fabulous games fabulous game. Even though it shouldn't have been duke should would have one with a certain amount of comfort but there's a there's A. They released this before the game. That over the last. It's either over. The last hundred games names that the two teams have played or over the last fifty games. It was either that it was fifty to fifty or twenty five to twenty five and they had scored the same amount of points the aggregate amount of points. Where exactly the same fake news? People who who think that do Carolina isn't much there you know. It's like Ohio State Michigan. Of course it's much stop. It's a big deal. It is a big deal. It's a big deal Michael. How did your house sold you have a dookie? And her father is North Carolinian. So so how did how did that work in your do. They contact each other during the game. So Chan famously cannot watch the games. If it's closing. He cares about but Sunday morning. A little baby boy. Buzi was saying Goad Duke on a tough with GRANDPA bright and that was hard for Chan terrible but his daughter lives group Carolina Linux fan but now but she went to Duke's went to Duke This was inbetween bath time. So I- relief her to relieve Walker duties. I'm reading him because I figured with six seconds left in the game it looks over. They'd missed act and back and back these these easy lay ups and he thought they had a chance and they didn't so I wanted her to be able to to go downstairs. I come downstairs after reading going to bed book we read. Daniel Tiger goes to bed and Overtime let me let me say this. How did you NC lose the failure failure? Rebound oh Mike. It is possible for Duke to get the game into overtime. It's impossible and in overtime. It is impossible for two. Oh Oh they're down in the last thirty seconds in both situations six or seven though they cannot win the the only people the people banging their heads against the wall and then laughing North Carolina they go to Maryland because they know what Duke did to Maryland now in the last twenty seconds of a game and it wasn't it. This isn't a great duke team. It wasn't the duke was great. I will tell you the trae Jones was really really good. North Carolina couldn't get the ball inbounds so they could not could it. I'M NOT GONNA go chapter and verse in this because I don't remember it. I'm just going to tell you as Chris suggested it's not possible North Carolina to lose to get out a regulation without winning. It's not possible. For North Carolina's lose in overtime. He Jones does the thing that never works beyond like Fifth Grade Basketball Smack smash not only does he throw misses it on purpose but it somehow comes back to him. No no no no not not. Did you not hear the interview. Afterwards they practice afterwards. What he said was gone? Shyer who's a member of a national championship shooter. John Shire has him practice practice. This he has a move a couple of steps to the right and throw it like that off the rim where it rebounds everytime exactly right about Trade Jones Thorwald were but even then even then grabs it and dribbles it through three poeple instill makes a really difficult shot. He doesn't make the shot. The other Kino veterans regulation misses the foul shot. He's into the game. Oh He's a kid. He's the one kid last year who everyone thought might be able to go first round but he had a poor year and he came back and I don't know what he's going to be as a pro. There's a million guards from Duke and North Carolina and Kentucky a million guards the NBA and three quarters of a million of them aren't great like they were in college. They just aren't. Yeah because it's tougher and it's not A. He's not an elite shooter. which usually do these small but that game was spectacular? After after the game. She Chef Ski said and he was one hundred percent right. I understand. Carolina is in a down year but that was Carolina. Well they have they. They had colon anthony back. It's like his second and couldn't down the ball. He is a dynamic. Yes layers create shots for others without him. They have nothing. Yeah there's not I mean they're they're wreck day are as per cell. Says I guess what the record says they are but they're not ten and thirteen withheld lamp. That's ten and thirteen against Duke right or not. So there was that Roy afterwards and Roy Wary now in his late sixties of how social media can destroy your life in ten seconds. Destroy Your Life. If you pay attention to it started started saying we're not pansies and it went. ooh maybe maybe I can't use that word is at all I mean by that. Is there people who don't compete. And we compete and tried to talk his way around in and out of it and he probably probably did and at the end he said I'm not going to quit. I quit my team's not gonNA quit. WE'RE GONNA be out there practicing. That was really great. Watch devastating home loss for a season. 'cause over I understand but that's a that's one that you can say well. We were terrible this this year but we beat Duke. It's a it's a well you'd still have another chance at do a different dude at home. It's going to be hard a great time to get that on at six o'clock so he could see what happened in the eight o'clock. Yeah you can watch all of it. I mean it was really really. That was as good a watch as sports provides. It really was as great. The other thing for me was the was the golf tournament which I watched almost every shot of in a guy named Nick Taylor a Canadian who has won once before before on tour. This is his second win in one hundred and sixty starts. It's he went head to head with Phil Mickelson when everybody. I don't know about everybody but me. I certainly thought Phil Mickelson was GonNa Win Phil. Mickelson was minus three to six six or seven and was down shot on the day. The other key eagled. The other kid got in trouble a couple of times but won the tournament on the fifteenth hole when he chipped in which he did chipped in for Eagle Prior to that on two or three whatever hole that is phil probably lost Probably lost on eight and nine even when he was plus three Phyllis plus five after the seventh hole. It was not a great Phil. Mickelson performance notice really fun to watch. I thought it was really fun to watch. They were playing in big wind STROMAN got into second place film Mr Pot on eighteen which would have gotten him into the massive dig win the big finish for team Johnny L.. Because he's wearing the big logo Truman's wearing the big logo Taylor was was minus two on the day. Hey which is all you really have to be in. The wind was enormous. If you don't like golf I understand. That doesn't mean much but Michael. What did you think of Taylor? And what did you think Phil so this is people are going to be asking this week. Are we really watching the final phase. The Final Act of Phil Mickelson. He's tried to delay it with his entrance into social media with the fireside chats with the attention to his body trying to reshape what he might be able to do as he turns fifty years old. This summer this tournament meant a lot to him. He's one more more than a handful of times. He has connections to pebble gum five area because of his grandfather. That story has been widely circulated chatty a caddy and they did the commemorative silver dollar dollar giveaways to all the competitors. So this was when he really wanted an everything was lining up for me at tough conditions. He had what became a match-play situation and golf often. We have to look look at the three arcs of it. We have the opening six. We have the middle six and we have the final. Eighteen are the final six on this course you have to score early and the wind made it really hard. A lot of those holes. Were down and wind. You think that'd be easier for the end but for the pros it's harder to control the spin. Get the ball to end where you want it to end. He played super aggressive from the start. And got up ahead. But it is exactly what you said eight nine or two of the hardest holes on the PGA tour eight might be the most perfect par for golf in terms of where you have to play the top of the hill and and he gave up probably net overall hundred yards. detailer off the tee on those tools. He laid back and he saw a number nine. He played the wrong club. I think foued said he was at leased. One Club unless shots. This happened a lot. He was short. You saw phil. At the beginning of the week saying everything was about his mindset his visualization what he wanted wanted to see the ball do and really he was off the mark for the entire back-nine you then saw him miss club or miss shape shots in that fourteen. Fifteen stretch where he was sailing hole on twelve. He might have gone long by thirty or forty yards But Still Taylor led him in it after that double that he had on fourteen and and as soon as fill his bunker shot to about a foot and a half you think on on fifteen. Here's fills opening. He might be able to push something at the end and then the kidnappers then he nails it and now is the tournament and so it was fun for me to watch. What is particularly fun for me is this is the one tournament on the PGA tour where amador's play and they play off for days? Yes they can if you're if you make you make the cut and they have to show you on TV when you get to the final day on the weekends so people that like we don't know Chris O'Donnell Donald but he's John O'Donnell's brother. Yeah so you look at Chris. O'Donnell I wrote Johnny Owen. Note saying why are you on the bag and he said No. I'm not on the bag this time. Time Because he had done that before I think he'd caddied for his brother and took a shot at his brother's saying Christmas. The cut again trump slamming. You get you know if you're invited did once you're invited. Lot Larry Fitzgerald has now won this thing twice with Kevin Stroman.

"Edition. This is Brian as always joined by Brad and John. John How are you doing on this fine evening I am. I'm doing well. It's been an interesting day. It has been interesting day. Brad how have you been my been the same I. Things happened today that I didn't expect. Yeah things did happen that we did it. So so as I mentioned in the intro Ron Rivera was unexpectedly fired today. And this is coming off the heels of on Sunday the organization position stating that they would make a decision on Mardi hernia or Ron Rivera until after the season so our staff writer Eric wrote a article about how everybody needs to be fired and a few hours later Ron Rivera was fired. which was interesting coincidence? Brad I know you have have some things to say Start off giving your thoughts on the Ron Rivera. Firing okay first of all. It wasn't a coincidence. We are responsible for this. So you're welcome yes but legitimately This is going to be a straight non joking top of the line. Fine take here Ron Rivera. I've never met the man before. I cannot say that I know him personally personally. Because I don't however everything I've ever read seen or heard about Ron Rivera. The human being is good. I never heard anybody say negative thing about him as a person he is One of the few coaches in the League who has brought in Women Assistance to work during training camp to get training and internships on possibly getting their foot in the door in opening that door in the league. He is a an animal lover and advocate for rescuing dogs He it is a good father a good husband he's been married for. I don't know how many years I wanNA say it's like thirty years. You know he's everything thing you would want in a person. He's a a very kind very gentle. Very well-spoken person but what it is a business. It is a He is in a job where wins and losses are what truly really matters. And unfortunately he's been the head coach of the Carolina Panthers for nine years and in those nine years. He's had winning winning records three times. He is the winningest coach. In Franchise History That number is probably skewed by the two thousand fifteen season. We're Cam Newton literally put the team on his back and dragged them to success going fifteen in one Ron Rivera coached in the Super Bowl. Ron Rivera Vera won an NFC championship. Ron Rivera was coach of the year. Twice Ron Rivera won the NFC south three times in a row. All of those do things are true but we haven't had very much success as of late the NFL is a what have be done for me. Lately League Yes Cam Newton has been hurt all year. Yes Kyle Alan is a garbage can but you know the defense that Ron Rivera calls the place for that. That he switched the alignment for to make it faster and supposedly supposedly better has been terrible. We've lost three games in a row at home too terrible opponents. We lost to to a to win Falcons Team A to win Washington team and we lost to the saints on the road. That's not really a problem. It's more commendable Of how we played but we still lost We are five and seven. I believe yes. We're five and seven seven. We are all but eliminated from the playoffs. We have no direction. We have no sense of urgency. We are doing the same things things and expecting different results and David tepper finally said you know. I think it's time to move in a different direction. Coaches generally really don't last as long as Ron Rivera did without winning consistently so he was given plenty of rope to to win and he just couldn't get results anymore so I don't think that firing him as a mistake. I actually think it's the right decision. I don't really know if firing him now matters more than firing them at the end of the season I was kind of disappointed that David tepper went back on his word. But here we we are I think that Ron Rivera will be hired. As soon as teams are allowed to hire him. I think he will be one of the first coaches who who is hired. I don't know if he's going to be a head coach again within the next year or so or if it'll be a defensive coordinator somewhere but you know so if you're a team that's consistently been terrible for the last three or four years and you need a culture change Ron Rivera is your guy. He will take a three and thirteen and fourteen four and twelve type team and turn you into a seven and nine eight nine seven team He will do that within two years or three years and you will be happy. That he's turned everything around. The problem is as that he will also take an eleven and five live team and turn it into a seven nine or eighteen so I think if if teams that are really terrible in need to rebuild want to hire Ron Rivera to turn them around and he just bounces around the league every five years or so he could have a coaching career. That lasted another twenty to twenty five years ears. Because I think he's good at at doing that at bringing in some stability and and a culture change for a team that needs it He just wasn't the right guy for the panthers anymore. And I'm I'm not upset that he's gone. I'm not happy that he's gone is just a A. He's Gone John Dabney. I mean yeah. I'm trying to repeat anything that Brad said but I I don't like how much celebration there is about Ron Rivera getting fired. I think think I agree that it was time for a change He was here for a long time and without sustained success. It's hard to justify keeping someone around for this long Even that he did okay and even if he was a decent coach like some a certain point the message gets stale. Time to shake things up and I think that's the point where the panthers are at like. I don't think Ron Rivera is a bottom tier coach. I think he's like firmly in the middle of the League. Yes joker is the best word to describe. Yes so the panthers could definitely do worse than Ron Rivera but they can do better and when you have a coach an okay coach for a long time. It's not it's basically Marvin Lewis in the bengals. Ingmar as an okay ran its course and it turned into a train wreck. Then that's kind of where the panthers there's are headed right now. But Ron averted a lot of good stuff here and he's a just like a great person and a good man and I don't like seeing people like celebrate that he lost his job. Yeah that'll tacky. I think it is a little tacky to celebrate the fact that a man a good man just lost his job yes. He's he didn't hurt anybody. The job is best he could and it's time to go in a different direction. I don't think we should be like cheering from the rooftops and like holding early. Big Select parties to celebrate that he got fired. I don't think that is warranted for what he's done for this organization but like I said I agree. It's time to move in a different direction. And I. I thought tempers comments on the things and also a couple of things. I liked. That separate did it now for the reasons does he gave. We'll get into more detail with that with Gina and a little bit but I like that. He decided I'm going to get a new coach after the season. I don't I wanNA start start looking now and I don't want to do it behind. Ron Rivers back so I appreciate a lot of respect for temper. And the fact that they're going to allow Ron Rivera to To know up front you know. Hey we're we're moving on so I'm glad that they're giving him the respect he deserves and letting him yet. No have a press conference with in the stadium and all that stuff. Yeah so does okay Bryan unless you go. The only thing I had to say about it was that so I know panthers fans were getting sick of Ron Rivera. Robert his his general ideas and mindsets for football and what he considered to be. Important I will say this was a year where we saw Ron Rivera at least transitioning towards something where he could be more successful in the modern. NFL The the issue lies in that. This is not a situation where you allow coached develop into that over the next two or three years. He's been here long enough where he's done what he's done he's pretty much the ceiling. You can't Af- you can't really afford to give a coach more time to develop into what you think should what David tepper believes to be important things like analytics. You know the statistics behind it looking at the data all that Kinda Kinda stuff like. That's not the kind of thing that you can expect Ron Rivera to evolve into anytime soon. And that's not a situation where this is a good place for him in Carolina he might be in a good place just to go to a organization where they're rebuilding now. They're trying to get back to being competitive trying to plan land for the next few years where Carolina right now. They have Cam Newton they have leuke clearly have a lot of players still who were pretty good. They draft some several several good players like Dj. More Curtis Samuel Christian McCaffrey. Brian Burns like this is not a team where they are in a position to rebuild and allow her development. This is a team where clearly David tepper wants to be competitive very soon. And that's where I think. The the disconnect lied and with Ron with Ron Rivera in that his method doesn't work anymore at least not for Carolina and what they have and what they're going for so they need to move on to somebody who's a little more modern who can make them competitive now. Where Ron Rivera could probably go to a team like maybe Miami? Let's say an in three years being actually good head coach with consistent. It's consistent success like honestly I think there's going to be Carolina Panthers Fans. We're going to be a bit shocked. What Ron Rivera does a few years down the line when he's had some time to really like embrace the modern concepts of the NFL is just? This is not the situation for it kind of salt. Mardi her anywhere. Some time. Time away from the game helps guys. I think more so than trying to like like if you're out of era is away from the game or has it gets a new job. It's an easier for them to like. Take a fresh approach based on like new information stuff where. It's a little harder to do that when you've been doing things certain way in your current job for so long like like like to marry her knees and example Mardi Herni as a general manager in his second go around has been completely different than his first time learned from from his mistakes. He's doing things that he should have been the first time and it's and I don't let me surprise if a bear does the same kind of thing as a coach. Yeah that's that's that's pretty much what I was getting at honestly like. I don't think that Ronald bears beyond repair. I don't think he's a coach where this is all he will ever be. I think he has the ability ready to be a better coach like we saw how good he can be in two thousand fifteen grand a lot of it had to do with Cam Newton but still like they were able to. We'll beat the doors off teams a lot of times. And you know you have to give some credit to Ron Rivera for that. You have to give Ron Rivera. Some credit for twenty seventeen when Carolina managed to come come back from what should have been a losing year and end up making the playoffs like there are good things. There is just that this is not. This is not the situation to sit on a head. Coaching more like the Carolina needs a change. They needed to change. They need somebody who's GonNa come in and take this. They have and make them work in a different way. It's just not a good if it anymore. Yeah and you know I th- where Ron Rivera would be. Perfect is in college. Yeah it'd be college. I think he would be very good college coach. I think he could be like he could even be better than Jim. Harbaugh as as a college coach Because I think he could recruit because I think he could convince eighteen year zero kids to come play football for him. I think he could motivate you know. Eighteen to twenty two year olds. Because I think he's a very good motivational guy. It's just that when when you have a group of millionaires who have been listening to the same message for nine years it it goes stale and with college allege your players every four years so the message doesn't really go stale because you always have new people listen to it so I think.

No more you can understand what Mike was trying to say about so or pay your respects Zimba. I can see how it made it worse as we get paid more than baseball players now. They gotta sign like ten years. I guess I'm having full year deals on this flaming who dame far jahar maybe playing with more money in sports now than it was. We came but look what we're doing right now. You know who money like just by me. Basketball plays like crazy easy right you go if you put your mind something basketball when you retire now you can still get Brad. Amazing always told me like the ball can take you far. I don't know if you're headed the Lychee. That's our life that took us all around the World Jeff Jeff pay still provide like no matter what you WanNa never see nothing that we'd seen scene and we'll never see the scenery's the yeah forget the money the ball we wouldn't like who yeah like ball was the first thing they introduced introducing me to to White People Zuzu definitely Debbie lasko white teachers outside of a teacher like you didn't enter white friend no definitely was looked like me or Latino no it was even basketball coach talk all day whatever like integrated me into a TV like in real life touching being around. I had never been around no none of that like that like you said one or two teachers in Moscow yeah that would be like now none of my friends none of that. I ooh black elementary school hallway like once a year is ball boy. I saw Latinos and blacks but I didn't see any other. I did sometimes television on a store. Maybe well like when I got to college. That's not I other actually talked to and children got more than travel and then when when it wasn't about introducing friends and coaching and you saved during the night would leave him alone he who lead story along he lack gang bank is GonNa get you a past 'cause you who Liam Manama he might do so Liam Liam. Be You know what I'm saying because you got Joe Ball and they see see what the court has the exact you you know you're still from the area like because it could be like you know you got friends have rivals. They just going crazy and man you know you'll be saying with somebody. Man to the person I got an hour came in two thousand in two thousand eight hundred freshman freshman sophomore sophomore yeah. That's right yeah you went to. I went to academy Shamgar also when you play Gachot you play Riverside San Eh. It wasn't your team it was it was Eric Barclay at the NII Anthony Glover. We got them. Commit more Cook Got Peace Jam. We got at them game yeah. I'm this you play you. We're a load of Yogi. Berra was just talking about this like there was only team to beat us on some of the only team with me L. to Lamar it whisk risk Barkley in in our defense the defense to be played against all these top all American America being about fifty in a final realize how much we can win by tonight we come into becoming a gym. I always trying by sixty but the crazy thing was ultimate was always was the best Lamar was always. The most guilty was the best. It was me Barkley a but everybody was don't everybody was and be placed on defense man. We will play defense. It'd be like thirteen points Elton average thirteen or fourteen the malls at thirteen five on it'd be groups. Go a history of like one of the best groups ever to play the game like human grew Gal. You see groups of people that like do you yours. Here's like me and they came together. Them boys was played against the way the way I play. I play with the Chicago he was younger than me. It's way younger. He wasn't even plan what he liked. He was three years old he was he was still coming up like a late bloomer. He that's why he didn't get heavily recruited but he blew still wasn't like that Nice earlier he he he was just still nice. Whatever reason for under the radar he was always how they rank you and they give you the hype when somebody real cut in front of the day it'll be who they say they are like? How does that happen him? Like how how's he's not like Donald America. I wonder why he played with demonizing. TJ comings they were to McDonald's all Americans eighteen and he's still did major where you would think because he got to all Americans that more people will see how can hooking. He's just came out in the same year yeah crazy we decided the two years the college and then he d delay the four three two years play. I caught up with him. I was the sophomore okay okay. Okay commits the Saint John's yeah. I remember that I think overnight commanders yeah a little bit you would Guan came all the way back in their movement. That's ah I was making noise. You're I think the beat Duke Year we lost a Duke May but it was a game game we need our bodies bodies showers popping people making noise and Mike Jarvis Yeah. What did you think about my job because I chose my job not show Saint John because right so you were coming here? If you didn't go pro yeah I was coming by chip rally because that's my job is great by the way. NBA Coach I think he's like an NBA coach because he's like a general and he's good at telling people to do and he's smooth. No art not too much Rahr didn't have for Shila which shows like suicides right college which I enjoyed to really appreciate them but we had a good team and it was really good team going experience. I wish we could one you know we lost skinny pen marine when she thought he was nice. I guess when I I knew I knew I had seen you play in college and stuff like that and I have seen you a little bit on air you since I knew you know what I'm saying he was tough basketball tough but when you came to the Blues Louis Like I was still in college at this point. This is your rookie year yeah. You may not even remember this. I send you out of the club. One Time Donnie remember the name of the Club Weed Surgical Surgical Dad's house. This will let me know that this do a different type of turnout town when it's cold. It's cold one is wintertime yeah. I see I see you in the spot. My man got the lead. The whatever might have been a AV wrecks on leather jacket on no shark chart. No cert- peer not like a wide be knows big boy chain. We've got the genes on his is bill from Timberland boots. I'm like Ron here with no shirt on his by listen. I didn't know I love the hoods. I didn't know how dangerous Chicago in nineteen I was naive to everything right. I just wanted to go to the hood so I wasn't Robert Tiller you know and by was on there just like one of the vibe live and just chill. You know you wanted to feel the yeah man when I was there you know is thirty nine for a couple of people on the Nan you hear me. That's the nine hi my family was sell out of crack right. I lived on a mob depot. Nuts aisle. I live on history. Chelsea was coaches uh-huh well my cartridges monkey bars he hustles on every block right so I told you the place I kind of grew up on people call. They say from Chelsea my my family all they did. They time so times always asking. Can I talk about these stories and I talk about these stories because the kids might think you're not the only one's going to you know saying y'all do how much rather be suit and tie. You know what I'm saying a word but we do. They have nobody to go from the era where they were standing outside else that I was on. Nobody outside coming over river cans downside. It was standing outside like they need to hear that needed. No like Oh Ron R. tests grew up with family members selling selling dope or whatever look you world champion unit saying I never was a I'm a health conscious guy exception of Henny shopping yet. I'm this is a great moment. You know what I'm saying. I try not to watch but like you know I'm not into anything. They're calm your body naturally uh dad when I was young. He gave me like a acids vitamins somebody down with my dad. Hey like listen years old. Nothing illegal everything from so yeah so I was into that type of stuff man and I I got into a I was nervous. I learn how to cook bag. Everything you know and we wasn't gave me my family had no guns we just lots of drugs look and they used to bully us. Some people and you know we all grew older in the same neighborhoods and we became friends like I know people shot each each of you probably don't get. I shut it right boys. Now you know we realized that it's like it's senseless and we realized that you really in this together. A couple of things also Ashikaga that concerns me like the compassion people's babies are dying but the main problem is like you got to want to change inch definitely shot you know so I have so much connection with shots because our played they're my favorite team. Growing up the Bulls and then the seat of valance a Chicago is just crazy crazy. I spoke to one Kim chinatowns industry. Hi Yo doing over the man you uh get it together out there. He's he's from the shock and he's like Yo. You know this is this is the life I was like. Wow and that's where people don't understand like you know people from the Shah people from Chicago to a lot you through more knowing Chicago's going through the roughest eh for rockaway in Queens New York. A couple of people were really not not publicized when you come from the shots tough. It's really tough to make Chicago Chicago. You know what I'm saying. That's why I know a lot about Ya and people when they're going through the same stuff..
