"Good morning good afternoon. Good evening wherever you are out there in the world. It's time to step out onto the high wire. I wanted to take a moment right now. Reach over your arm and pinch yourself. Make sure you're awake so you realized that no this is not a dream. You were not lost in some dystopia novel. This is the world you live in. We all live in it. And if you're living in it right now you're probably going through an experience much like mine where you're trying to hold it all together. You've got kids that are watching mom and dad. You're trying to be chill while it feels like the world is erupting into pure insanity. All around you stay cool do your best. That's all you keep telling yourself some how this is all gonna work out. I saw a video this week. That i think really set it all. Do you feel a little bit like this guy..

"Packs at the store and you saw the no doubt yeah. Yeah. I loved Football Saturdays going to school just loved them and none of my kids really supported their teams at the school. They didn't have that. Gung. Ho. Go fighting wildcats or whatever. They didn't care. As weird to me that was bombed fighting wildcats. Nice. Kind of tribal thing. Go fight wildcats beat the fighting bears you know. Yeah. Oh So but I feel like that should happen with opening up businesses. kind of a similar like immediate change of heart. Yeah. Let's all be opening in. Okay and just like immediately. Yes here here. Daily rapid testing list and that's fine in this. Good. Because as I tweeted over the weekend, it is borderline hilarious that they're telling the baseball players high five meanwhile on the football field their face to face engaged in hand to hand come hell yeah. You're checking the guy's oil i. GOTTA BE RARE Cut from the football. That's gotta be at least fifteen yards may twenty. But how hilarious the baseball players. Five.

"Make the point that how do you negotiate what the President Calling Crazy Nancy? That reminds me remember when Internet lady got so mad at me I became the target of online hate at one point. Because I was making a point about how the Internet is both a set and so ugly I mean people are. Are googling or searching on your name. Nude. And she took great offense to me saying that as thoroughly misunderstood throughout nevermind. Crazy nights per side she's not crazy. She's evil. She's perfectly rash. So trump tweeted about that Jim, you didn't make a mistake that's Jim Cramer on his show. On CNBC whatever. I never watched CNBC. That's A. The. Financial part of rarely NBC anyway. I saw some social media. You know he needs to be fired canceling stuff on twitter yesterday because he wouldn't have talked to a man and he it's because she's a woman and CNBC has a history of being anti woman and Blah. Blah Blah Blah Blah Blah anyway trump tweeted out jim you didn't make a mistake. It's true and that's why you said it no pandering exclamation point. Yes. Come on. Kramer went on to apologize he has great respect for the office and the woman. Very. She was calculating how she oughta react. If, you see the video. Miller lite has launched the first ever Beer Kontena for football season. When you stop an organization that is a band disbanding. Clearly is banded I'm quitting so I guess we've disbanded. Yeah. The Beatles disbanded nineteen, sixty nine. This has been a problem across the country with a number of universities where apparently the the culture at the marching band was pretty pretty wild. Yeah. Okay. It's calling mostly in a way. That's fine. Yeah. It's college drinking and sex, and that sort of stuff and just culture and maybe think it's awful. But the whole idea of doing away with the band like they did at. The university near me they just did away with it. Yeah. Legendary Band party band whatever they did away with it as opposed to hey, knock it off a couple of nasty incidents and then innocent tomfoolery being portrayed as nasty unacceptable by the idiot administration that simultaneously indoctrinating kids into Marxism and yeah the there's just there's politically incorrect stuff that happens if I fully known that out of joined the band. Yeah I didn't know marching band crazy in college at a practice more. and taking a hit on the bills this graph from USA Today US adults who save they've been unable to pay a bill because. Of covid. It's the whole if you hadn't gone out to eat those two times if you hadn't. Ordered a pizza whatever you did write my soul proximal or whatever 'cause thing. Oh you the one reason I would be much more forgiving. than my attitude about these things usually is is spelled out quite beautifully by another email we got from Kevin. just wanted to inform you that today September sixteenth mark six months of lockdowns where I live. Six Months March sixteenth at San Francisco along with surrounding counties in the San Francisco. Bay Area took the bold step to issue shelter in place order to counter the Wuhan coronavirus pandemic. I'd almost forgotten that term shelter in place the first in the country which set up a chain reaction of lockdown across the state and the entire US recall it. In the following weeks. California Sept fifteen emergency hospitals in the US Navy sent a medical ship to the harbor all deal with the overflowing waves of hospitalizations and deaths, which never came none of the emergency hospitals were needed the US Navy ships mercy left La Harbor after treating seventy seven patients. In nearby. Sacramento. California. They took over the old basketball arena turned it into an emergency hospital. I. Think it had to patients and they only those patients there. So nobody could say they had zero patient, right? Now making mistakes early on I think we all are pretty understanding that because nobody's quite sure what we're dealing with, but getting back to Kevin's email. We spent fifteen and thirty days to slow the spread. Then we stayed at home to flatten the curve months went by as we watch the virus ebb and flow, and our government barely changed their tune the common response to request and the lockdown was wait two weeks in July surged did occur mostly in southern California in counties, which never began reopening to a substantial degree. The Serbs subsided in August but as evidenced. By hospitalization subsiding in similar fashion Arizona, Texas and Florida lockdowns the causing therefore having worked yet what are we doing today are schools are closed. Our businesses are boarded up millions remain unemployed the impacts, the public health from suicide strokes, heart attacks, cancers, and over checkups are only beginning to be felt now in September again, six months San Francisco isn't letting up is instead locking down harder a new revised shelter in place order. Of mandates a fourteen day quarantine after close contact with covert positive schedule person even after a negative test. Oh, and the city's gone as far as to urge. To Quarantine for two weeks if they so much as leave the bay area, will this madness ever stop? It's been six months. The lockdown hasn't worked if you leave the bay area and come back. You're supposed to quarantine for two. We get exactly. That is completely unrealistic. Yeah. Place two months ago. The story was we needed to crush the virus like Europe but European countries now hitting records for new cases we can't all heightened basements until the vaccine arrives. If ever does past time we learned to live and cope in a world where the virus is present anyway onto writes fabulous regular correspondent Kevin Yeah. Well, we've talked about this a lot. There's plenty of evidence that would Show, you well, there's not evidence that shows you that the lockdowns and opens up opening up have much to do with anything right? Well, in his Dr Scott Atlas pointed out even if they had which you have to figure out is worthy costs of the shutdown health costs, financial costs, all the cost we were just talking about were they worth it? Did they buy you something worth at enormous cost? The fact that San Francisco is cracking down even more is just astonishing to me. Like you made the one, we were talking to Michael Savage earlier the point you made you can't believe people are just going along with this. How long will people go along with it? I don't know I. Don't know it's a hell of an experiment. I. Mean as an individual store owner I realized it's really difficult because you'd find. I guess political will will build up over time at what point is it going to be? Okay that's it. I thought that point was a month ago or two months ago or three months ago we're six months in at some point we say, okay, that's that's long enough. At the year mark, do we say okay, everything's open now, which is a mask, wash your hands right. But everything's open. You don't want to go to the store. Don't. You don't want to be a teacher anymore because the cove it is part of a reality don't. But we're living our lives. I feel like we're getting close to that. Allow. You know as we pointed out many times the founding fathers, they designed the system so you couldn't get what you want because people want a king. People want to be. Governed. Or they want to be subjects, they don't want to be citizens and I'm not I'm not talking to you folks sound like Elvis. How many of you seen blue I the the mass people are sheep will. Know put up with anything do what they're told. Okay. Well, that's you know that's fine for other individuals, but it see turn everybody the schools, the businesses the economy, right? Right well, fight it. Fight at best you can. Frustrating. It is frustrating. I don't know I know in our talk about these things. Yeah. Man Speaking of I should've I gotTA. Do this tomorrow. I'm about to do a great story about a city. We went off the air on. at the top of the hour. So maybe we'll do that for tomorrow. Oh clothing company. With an incredibly political and obscene new label they're putting on their clothes. It's not. Well.

"This prediction are Chris Jones just got paid Kansas City chiefs, and he was on a radio station in. I'm assuming Kansas City here. They're gonNA. Give us the call letters, so I could properly credit this. But Chris Jones is predicting big things. Beginning be prepared to have another bird parade in another parade, another parade formation brain, not one not two, not three nine four. Five places range to Kansas. City you know fifty years away has been great, but the way over now at his. Created damage. I mean all sorts of expectations, but I wouldn't bet against them. They just pay five hundred million dollars because they believe that guy is going to take them deep into the playoffs every year. I mean five I would, because it's the NFL between injuries and guys that turnover and only play for the next two or three years. Why would you do that? See see how that worked out for the Miami Heat in sport words much easier to believe. You're going to keep winning. If you've got three of the best players on a five-man starting roster, look many do on a football field has to go right. I mean they might give five. He Ain't gonNA. GonNa be there for five of them. No like mahomes might Gif I. That would have been a better way to put it Patrick Hall the candidates. Cheese may give five, but barely even wanted to keep you around this. Go around Homey like I'm saying like. If you get to stick around for five more years, let alone five more rings that winds up being good for you. The good thing for him is as good as he is football. I have no idea what he looks like. He will be able to fly for this leg. Never Happened Lebron, still answering for what he said at a PEP rally. What even interview? It was a pep, rally. Question of Slim Yokich changes. Your view of the nuggets are what I'm about to show. You is a bit shocking in that. I don't believe anybody. Any one body anywhere on this globe has changed more than this guy's body. During this pandemic I did not recognize him Bonnie and I thought this was porzingas. He was not a dunker. He was a loaf of bread now. Some of that plastic gluten-free bread. He's unbelievably.

"Find in bed to be annoying, but I don't think this is really going to have anybody moving upward out a tax break. And I don't know that it's about race either right because the difference is in those players is not race. It's ability so if it doesn't affect the black man, you could still get the bag because this place speaks for itself, but it does affect a bill McGee because the instances in which you can kinda clown on are accurate than it has nothing to do with whether you're supporting your fellow black man. It has to do with whether you're cloud and a guy who does stupid stuff on the court. I understand where he's coming from I feel. Feel the way about women in the sports industry I feel protective of them right. I don't want to take them down. Even if I disagree them, because they're so few of us and we kind of have to band together, but men are not a minority in the. NBA, this is not an instance where chuck needs to not do his job the way he wants because he might not help. Black men rise up in a sport where they already dominate. So this is a great argument for maybe somewhere else I just don't think it applies here. That's part of where we get into this chatter. Element of it is driven by really like why you gotta be talking about me like that. That's really what it fundamentally comes out. You Laugh, forget was. All smoke tried to make the point basically that he was a better basketball player than Charles Barkley, which is the most ridiculous thing that he possibly could have said, but I do think for a lot of these players. It probably hurts their feelings a little bit to hear Charles talk about them sometimes in the way he does because Charles says what he feels, but it ain't like Charles necessarily giving you concrete irrefutable evidence. He just giving you what he thinks. Would you pat the homes versus Josh Allen Throw off okay? Is this accuracy based? Because drew brees with a sports science study that he did with John His word. That show is the most accurate thing I've seen against an Olympic larcher. The accuracy I would like that measure, but this is just arm strength. We're talking about here right Yep. Okay your arm strength, though at ninety seven right behind Josh Allen at ninety nine. What do you think about that? Man Dude I mean obviously Josh as extremely strong arm, but I I I've yet to see someone have strongarm to me so. Maybe we can Lana I know. We talked about maybe having a thorough well, and we can really prove a song as arm. Yeah, and you would definitely win, right? I mean I've ultimate believe myself I mean he does have a strong arm out there like eighty eighty five yards, I, mean he beat steady speech? I'd like to see that. I'm ashamed to say Sarah you're. You. I can't totally be sure yeah I, mean I recognize that like Devin Hester, racing a cheetah or those weird people who walk across canyons. It's like thirty seconds of action for an hour show. I don't know how they're going to spread it out that long I. Just WanNa see them both. Chuck it real far, but I mean, and it needs to be hosted by Uncle Rico 'cause uncle Rico could throw it over the mountains and I feel like he would be the only one who could accurately say which guys got a better arm. So the difficulty for me on this one is because this really could go. Either way is have we overestimated? How strong we think Josh Allens are ms because we see him. Throw people so much because again I'm not disputing the fact that his Armstrong. His arm is obviously strong. Rb Looking really strong when it's twenty yards past route. Straw was supposed to go. y'All still crossing your fingers, hoping that that turn into like. quarterback at some point is so amazing to see the benefit of the doubt that everybody gives him, but I understand why they do because he is so physically talented. I ain't betting against Mahomes at anything. Though that involved in football nothing at all, and I would day it also on this throwing it in ocean. Josh Allen has got a chance. They got drop in the Bucket Josh Allen. Show. You think wins the race. Though we keep talking about who with throwing the ball, who you got in a running race between those two because I might put my. Good question that's. I would too I think. Alan in the race. This is like a fat. Chris Amine situation. Don't go based on whatever you expect. COMING UP NEXT ON MY TV show. Brain, not one not two, not three nine four. Five places range to Kansas City. You know fifty years away has been great, but the wait is over now, and it's time to create a Damn Assi. He's unbelievably skinny and.

"Welcome to highly questionable I'm Dan Limited that's for money, Jones and Sarah Spain. Let's get started didn't miss you at all. Are, you sold on the NBA bubble after the announced zero positive tests since July thirteenth, it's interesting because I think as journalists were almost always trending towards cynical or skeptical and I know when I saw the details on this protocol, my reaction was to say there's no way that they can pull this off. This is two minute in terms of everything that they're exploring and this right here. Here is the first bit of actual sports related. Hope that I have felt the math on this the fact that they tested three hundred fifty people in everybody is clean I. Don't know what's going to happen here. Going to the future. None of us know what's going to happen going into the future, but this is as positive numerical results as you can get if you feel like hoping. Amen it. They figured out how to make this work and I found it implausible that most of these sports situations could be made to work, but they have a very unique situation because they can keep everybody basically within the same places. They gotTA testing protocol. That's there and if they got it now to where nobody has tested positive for this, then let's go play some basketball, right? You are miracle workers. If you made this happen, I don't know how many of your peers in the other sports are really going to be able to make this go, but if they. They did it. I'm sure not going to sit here and root against it. If they field egitim really confident that it can work, then we should try to make it work, and this is where the NBA. They earned a measure of trust in the way that they handle things early. They leads us to believe now. If they say they can play that, they can actually play. That's what the NFL is going to be fighting against. We don't trust them the same way and Odyssey. It's trust that they haven't earned the NBA credibility. It's a good thing to have. Yeah, I'm going to start by saying I. Hope that you guys are right and I agree that they've earned the benefit of the doubt. Because the way that they've listened to the experts in science and put into place, really strong protocols that being said I cannot believe that of the three of us. I'm going to be the one. That's the most cynical here because this is only the beginning, there are still opportunities for guys to leave because they need to get some strange. There are still people coming in and out that work in the restaurants that work in the laundry in like those employees that are not in. In the bubble that come and go still have an opportunity to expose themselves and come back in and have somewhere in the protocol. Things fall apart I. Don't want to I. WanNa Watch basketball! I want to be hopeful I want this to work so that we think other things may be follow suit, but it's very early, and like I said there's still a chance for guys to get you know little wild and want to get out of the bubble, and there's also still a chance for people to get a little bit too complacent with the testing and not stick with it the way they have thus far but. Fingers crossed. I think the dilemma for the NBA. Is this one though is just because you think you might fall apart. Does that mean that you don't try to do it at all right? Because one thing we're here from the NFL's a great point. Starting this is not nearly as important as finishing. It is, and you're right there. Chances that players can mess this up and that. That other people that surround this can mess this up. There's also a lot of money on the line here and you've got to hope that that's going to be the tie that binds people to some measure of responsibility. Bit of is. This is what it is right now and I don't blame them for trying well. You know what's funny about the symbolism of that is. Is the fact of the matter is this can't even be argued numerically, no matter where you signed on science, no science, we do not deserve to have sports back. We are now the worst when it comes to handling this corona virus, the rest of the world deserve sports. They handled this responsibly. But what are we doing? We're fixing it with bleeping money all the NBA. NBA Resources in the world all of Disney's resources as we get hit on cruise ships on entertainment on sports on parks, and here is all the money in the world trying to make the fantasy real. It's very disneyworld while you say we don't deserve it. Be Very clear on who we is Dan. You say we don't deserve it. We as Florida. You guys absolutely. Here. We've been resposible about this. Go look at the grass are curve like. Like y'all. Got To blame Florida instead of Canada. America's had is handling this well America's Wang not so much so embarrassed. How do you feel about dream on's reasoning for why Chuck shouldn't criticize him? Okay took a pandemic to bring these closer together physically, and when they did all of the sparks, and the fumes that you're used to. When they were beaten back and forth dissipated, because they were very nice to each other a fundamentally respectful, but here is you know two of the most outspoken guys generations discussing why it is that they haven't gotten along. The issue that I've had is. People a lot of people watch the game of basketball and they don't know what they're looking at. So when they look at a chuck or they look at you know different guys. WHO has this platform? They take what you're saying. And they listen to that and they run with that, and so whereas for me, it hasn't necessarily affected my pockets, but there are a lot of guys in this league that people run with guy. Guy Say on on these platforms, and it affects guys pockets and asked the issue that I've had. It had like I said. You know we've been able to win I've had a good career has an effect on my pockets, but it's similar to like Javale McGee, when he came out with shack and said this is altering my career and I think that's what you know. We have said and and when I said on on. As a black man, you gotta support the Nice Black Man. You can't keep putting the next black man down. Understand that there's a job to do, but also know I've done too many great things in this league and won a lot to hear some stuff. He'd be sent about me and that's where I had the issue. I mean but truck hasn't been wrong when he says he thinks he's the leader of the boy band and he's just hanging on draymond green has only gotten this level of success that he's gotten. Even though he's a wonderful player, I'd want him on my team. Super verse, because He's played for that or not, and this is the residual. Hey of what that thing caused. You'RE GONNA. Get blasted by guys like chuck. Who will say it right to your face? Say It on television got into heated back and forth with Kobe. Bryant because he's always going to tell it like it is whether draymond wants to hear it or not. All right. Let's talk about the question of Draymond and pockets, though because I do think he was correct on the level of a player Lij avail McGee like the way that people were talking about him was going to have more of an effect than his actual play was, and he had been rendered basically a clown, even though he had become an NBA champion. That's not what's happening though with a player like draymond green like it wasn't going to affect his level of money Charles can say whatever He. He wants about say John Is Seen Lebron over the years. That wasn't going to affect what kind of money they were GonNa make, but what it does affect is the way that people talk about you on the Internet. Don't try to make is about your money. "I've once of a question for you as a follow up where Mommy's patio going to be the MVP this season. And I think it's simple. The chiefs won the Super Bowl. They have the best team in the AFC by our and they also added something in the draft. Jalen rose basically the same reason that you said. Lamar is GONNA win. I'm saying Patrick Mahomes GonNa win. Oh do you remember Baton Rouge Own Clyde Edwards? Oh I know you do. You saw him run over all over the final four in college football. And he's going to do it in the NFL as well. He's going to replace some of that speed as of that ability. That tackled breaking ability in the backfield that they're missing and with what the haven't Kelsey and what they have in receivers and adding him. I think it's not fair again. The richest got richer and the chiefs playmate collar. Andy Reid is gonNA enjoy using a land. That's why I have him as the MVP. How'd you don't use it? Leshan McCoy as getting feature carries have points last year. So that's an immediate. Oh great and I watched dobbins run all over my wolverines unfortunately for a couple years so both of those teams and to the running game and lastly I respect on tiree. He'll name every time we talk about the receivers in the league. He don't come up. Give all the credit to Patrick Mahomes. Because when I'm watching the game to see like he's running by people he's doing all types of things out of the backfield. He's like a Swiss army knife. That squad if your guy's going to win is because Tyreek Hill had an amazing season. Well any read and Patrick mahomes homes was. He was talking to Lebron. He's like I figured out how to read defenses. Mvp right there. He's saying he just figuring out how to read. That is the MVP. If you had to pick a sleeper Jalen who would you pick a sleeper? So I don't research for the show and I don't work really hard but when you put the odds out there that was up there and had a sleeper? I'm like Don sign right now. You know what I'm saying got. Cd LAMB IN THE DRAFT. Ezekiel go have a pool train care. They took care of a Mari outside. Gave him a big deal? They already was the number one office in the NFL for a squad that did not make the playoffs. Plus he want to get a big deal. Dak Prescott. I love that. You're sleeper is the quarterback with the third best odds to win and I just let you didn't even tell you when you said it I didn't even I got degrees. It's my sleeper but we're GONNA move on because Jalen we need to look at you for your wisdom. Your experience is a professional athlete to take us behind the curtain. There are only so many people that know what it's like to be drafted to a major sports league can get that. I check and Jalen are one of those people so we need you to take us behind the curtain. I want to show you what what should be the lions quarterback to a did what to look at he bought. His mom had a lack on mother's Day so Jalen. Rose take us behind the curtain. What does it feel like? Don't get stuck on two talk about the lions but move on from that was elected. I check to buy your mom something. Nice take me through that process and the feelings men should be in Detroit butter American made car to all my goodness. He was so perfect for my lions. It's it's a dream. Come True Jacoby because whether you watch a young person graduate from high school or college whether you see somebody get drafted. That's a combination of your goals in your efforts but also the hard work of your support group your family your friends your parents though that have sacrificed to put you in position to even be where you are mother. Dick Shout to her. Make sure she was at all my games. When I was in high school leaving work early making sure that everything that I needed to put me in positions who chase my dream into have that go happen. Once it came in for wishing that was a part of the journey. I want to make sure that I do two things. Tell her that she doesn't have to work as a key punch or at Chrysler what she did for around twenty years and the other thing. I'M GONNA put you up in the crib and you ain't GonNa have to worry about nothing that's going to be your castle. That's GONNA be your lear. You deserve to be comfortable. You deserve to be taken care of as a small very small token of my appreciation and it's always great to see players when they give back not only to their families and their parents but also to the communities that is so nice and big shout to genie. Rose Jalen you pick the Mark Jackson as your MVP candidate. I have another reason. Why he's not GonNa win. Has nothing to do it. Patrick mahomes Lamar Jackson before every single game has a pre game meal and wait for it of shrimp. Alfredo that thick heavy creamy sauce sitting in your stomach. When you're doing spin moves that that that no chance. That would slow me down. I can't even get up from the chair after I eat shrimp. Alfredo how does Lamar Jackson each shrimp? Alfredo before every single you know. Jacoby not only. Do I love Pasta but I die. File Freight Oh yeah eastern Spaghetti and that has red sauce but I prefer the whites Austin cream sauce. The butter sauce. The Al Prado in my guy my in VP. Lamar's.

"Matt rule at the combine saying. He's all they would. Newton Newton is going to be on and look forward to working with Cam. Newton Bill laskey. How'd you hear that? Well what what I didn't hear from Matt Rule. He didn't confirm that Newton would be a starter he would not spend starter starter is going to be and I'm wondering if that's what Newton's talking about if that's a commitment. He wants from them. But that's what it's going to be. Panthers got trouble. I think the Panthers and Cam Newton. Anyway nine hundred million dollars they could save missed eighteen games in the last two seasons. I don't think he's reliable anymore. And I think with the new offense. They need to get rid of him. This is now the battlegrounds been said. He's sixteen games over. The last two plash keeps firing. Brett Brown. Getting rid of camps made. Well I I WANNA know how long that plank was that he was I think. He's compounded our feels like it was going to be good though. No I AGREE WITH BILL. Though that the the answer is why didn't you say and if he said? I'm looking forward to working with them. And it's worded right now. Things could change but not necessarily a star then. I think maybe. That's what cams asking for publicly. Say I'm your Guy. Going forward is recruit ears. How do you hear Cam Newton on that post and then also what? You're hearing from at least Matt rule today at the combine. Yeah I too have lost my mind well planking. So I can relate the Cam Newton here but I do think it's either a bill. Plachy thing where you can't even commit to me as a starter or you can't even commit to me and have me get me a new contract because I'm a free agent at the end of this year. The idea of being. Hey even if we are going to go with you for this year you are essentially a stopgap cam. Newton is an MVP. Okay in his mind. He's not a stopgap he's now let's see what I can do for one year and then you can move off from a. You're either with me or not. And that's what he's asking right now. Commit to me or send us. Mvp look being president for Marine. What's your MVP? You're always an MVP right about you guys saw. I'll tell you. What if your your local gym and planking and screaming like that? Chances are they're gonNA kick you out of the gym but Cam Newton. We know that he can lead a team to a superbowl done it before. It's been an MVP but he's injured so February. What is the organization supposed to say? You'd think they'd come out and say Nah he's not really part of our future. They did the smart thing. There's a lot of time between now and the NFL draft. So they're not gonNA commit to anything so you might as well say yeah. As of this moment he's a quarterback when they're saying when Matt rule today at the combine that he's looking forward to working with Cam Newton. That doesn't mean anything either way. Nothing I think it means something but what what would be the alternative Tony. He's GonNa say Cam Newton and I don't really want the guy is something we'll move.

"Nerd, oh, seven every once in a while. Reggie gives us a real jam. And this is one of them. He's as BUSTER is an Astros fan. I'd love another World Series against the dodgers. But Astros Braves rivalry from the old NFL west days. Twins dodgers. A sixty five rematch in twins. Braves. A ninety one rematch would all also be fun. What would be your favorite pick among those choices and Reggie for the record before the season started I pick the Astros to win the World Series over the Atlanta. Braves. That said to me, I, I wanna see the Astros in the dodgers again, like to see a rematch from two years ago knowing how this, the dodgers are fully motivated knowing how the Astros are fully motivated because they want to get back to the top of the mount. That would be fun World Series. A lot of star power to. Absolutely. I I'm kind of partial to twins Braves when all those young players, I think it would be a really fun watch. Not sure the television networks with. Like it so much. But I think that would be a really cool World Series Hayden at hayloft thirty three. Guys, can you see the dodgers speaking of which moving to my ADA to the bullpen again, to pursue a starting pitcher instead of a new arm in the bullpen or could they potentially go for both the starter and relief pitcher before the deadline? I can see the moving my aid to the bullpen during the postseason because they have so much starting pitching Kershaw and review and Walker bueller and Richhill and my ADA showed two years ago that he could have high impact out of the bullpen. But then last year he struggled. So I don't think the dodgers would count on him being a great bullpen pace. I think they're going to focus on one of the big names that we talked about. And I, I you know, among all them I think the most likely Brad handed the Cleveland Indians. Okay. Couple hall of fame questions to close out the week. We got this one from Jay bird at J melts, ninety four says Nick Moore cake is just clear twenty three hundred hits and he's still only thirty five years old, if he gets to three thousand. Would you vote for him as a hall of Famer boy, seven hundred hits to go at eight thirty five that's a lie? I don't think you'll get there, but I would say this, and we've talked about it again. I covered Harold, Baines hurl Baines is a great guy. He didn't bring this conversation upon himself. But once he got voted the hall of fame, I think the goal posted change for what, you know, what would potentially be acceptable for a hall of Famer I think Nick, Marquette gets gets to twenty seven hundred after career where he's been a terrific outfielder. Yeah. He would be in the conversation. No doubt about it because it all Harold. Baines is in with his numbers, and he was a D H forever. His career haul of very good, Greg Steinbrecher at Greg Steinbrecher says, I agreed with BUSTER, that Kershaw on the shortlist of best pitchers of all time, but we'll his postseason struggles prevent him from unanimous hall of fame selection, like BUSTER thought would happen with ver- Lander ensures her Greg, I would agree with you, because and I think Joshua back me up on this, there will be a couple of. Writers that get off nylon writers, who will say that God didn't get it done in October. So I'm not voting for him for the hall of fame in his first year on the ballot. Yeah, I will get off your lawn. I'm going go start my weekend. Keep the Bleacher tweets coming for next week as always use the hashtag Bleacher tweets that's it for today. My thanks ingest. "I want to win so young for the next three years. I've already made it clear that Nolan Ryan was my hero. I am Nolan Ryan in Justin Verlander is body. And I wanna to do what he did. So I don't he's not running away from it. I guarantee he embraces it. And if he falls short of it, he is a realist to be able to say I wanted to get to three hundred I ended up with two sixty I. Ended up with two eighty I ended up with two forty whatever the number is yes, he will tell you I wanted to get the free hundred wins. I think if, if John Smoltz had that opportunity he would tell you, I wanna get to three hundred wins. There are different people that, that have different agendas. And I think the idea that we just played sound from Grinky that was authentic. I think ver- Lander is very authentic in his in his goals. And one of them is to throw ninety eight until his arm falls off and win as many games as possible. I think the challenge with him is going to be eventually as much as he wants to be Nolan Ryan. The bullpens are so good. And I understand from Curt Schilling. Randy johnson. Look, you're coming out here to give the ball to that guy. I'm I'm Justin Verlander. I'm better than that guy. Is that these bullpens now are becoming so effective his case in his argument as he gets tired in a six or seven? Inning. And it's a two to ballgame is going to be falling on more and more deaf ears, and I think that's going to be his challenge. But techies in the right system. He's on the right team. They score a lot of runs. He keep prevents a lot of runs. He's in line to pick up a lot of wins the way the Astros are currently built. Yeah. If he was forty three years old and had a more Winston ago, he would find a place to pitch. You know, he absolutely would do the Bartoli Cologne and do what it would take to get to that number. That's that's how he is wired. All right. We'll have fun and Omaha. Carl. Thanks for doing this. You guys. Thanks about. "I mean, if it was a truly population based than we would see more angels in there. You know, we it saves not it does have to do with performance and meadows is a great example of what performance can get you. Yeah. And I think he made makes an absolutely fair point about the arbitration process, and different things that are cited in that our agents, I've heard from teams those things need to be updated. But add that to the long list of things, we'd love to see talked about between the union of major league baseball that they're not talking about because it's the relationship right now is, basically not working to ask you that, that would don't bring don't bring something up that I don't have any control over. Let's just use my numbers and I don't wanna get into a place BUSTER. Are we are selecting all stars based on analytics because look, you could absolutely devise an algorithm, which would produce the most productive first baseman second baseman third baseman and shortstop and, and to some degree? It would reflect what the fans think there would be some surprises in there. I it's almost like you take your top your top war guys at each position. That's your all star team. I don't think anybody including I hope Tom be fan, watch that. No. That, that would not be good. Zach rank you last night, Florida with a no hitter. It went away in the seventh inning on an end hit field, hit by trade Turner. He's manager toilet, jello said after the game, he was thinking was pitch count really low. He'd have a real shot at it. Give a listen to Zach Ranki talking about that play first base tough to get there in time, anyway, because tough throw, even if he did throw it over there with health us Turner's. He looked up set. And then he's got a little bit of. Anger problem sometimes. So this is what on let them be in pretty long delay, though. So I don't know. I don't really think about but much just assume oh, never throw one don't think that's the type of game. I throw I feel like I gave up a lot of hits. Yeah. Anyone under say, it'd probably be more of a hassle than anything a bunch of nonsense comes with it. I don't think about no hitters ever, which to me classic Zach Frankie a loved it. I loved it. I think it's the same opinion of a golfer, who has never had a hole in one who says, I I'm never going to have one with every time the golfer steps on a par three he's thinking, it'd be kinda cool to get one, I don't necessarily and -ticipant it. I think it's a recognition that there's a lot of stuff that goes into pitching a no hitter. He is a pitch to contact I now I think relative to what he was really nervous career. It's a really hard thing to do. It's very easy to be dismissive of the concept and say, I'm going into every game hoping to pitch hitter. Because then when you don't you're Elton Flatley failing to where you set the bar. So sure that all makes sense then he's not a big media guy, and he's right there. There is a lot of stuff that comes with it in his world, that's interviews. That's talking to people, that's making a big deal out of something that I think that cranky is smart enough. To realize there's a lot of what it gets into that stuff. And if I'm if I'm not gonna, you know, be lucky enough that night to pitch no hitter, then it's likely not going to happen. Everything he said, I really understood there. I, I really I got it. I think he's I think he's right about from Zach, Greg is world. I think he's one hundred percent on. Yeah. He's the most honest AJ Ellis. So he sold the great story when he was his team mate. Zach loves to evaluate statistics in different parts of teams. So AJ said, hey, you know what? Let me know what you think what's going on with this team. What do you how do you think it needs to get better? And Zach cranky thought about it came back to AG. It said, I think they need a different catcher. Hold..

"And you realize we're dead. And then, of course, you have Vicki Lopez comes up. Former Creighton Bluejays. There are no odds because they've never played a major league came in Omaha for a kid that played his college. Ball at the ballpark, who played triple A baseball in Omaha who then was promoted to the major leagues only to have the team come back to Omaha and he hits his first home run crazy for keep the there are. No odds. That's not something that you could say one in a million because it's never happened that they've played a major league game at that ballpark. It was it was a very bizarre. Unfortunate set of circumstances. The, the funny part of it was Jumbotron was, of course, recording everything. So we had a microphone on Whitmore field and around the eighth inning. With Mira feel was talking to some teammates, or to a coach. I think it said, well, this sucks. Nikki. Able to see his his first home run. ESPN apparently was was without power. So no one, no one has it. And at that moment, we replayed, the Jumbotron shot of Mickey Lopez homerun. Thank goodness. The Jumbotron was there to show it because it was it was a bizarre and unfortunate set of circumstances for something that likely will never happen again. I mean, if you try to put that together, you're not gonna be able to do it. You're just not. Never never. He had the biggest grin as he crossed home plate, too. Because you knew as soon as the ball went out, he probably was thinking, are you kidding me? Really? I mean, even Nikki Lopez in the moment you had to figure that in the was in the back of his mind Shohei Ohtani last night hits for the cycle. It's surprise me. When I saw that note, the first Japanese born player and hit for a cycle current, because I would've assumed at some point each row did it, but that was pretty cool. And it was a reminder of how good again he's going to be as he goes along so far. Cheer eight sixty three S eight homers three fifty on base percentage. Meanwhile, he's rehabilitating from Tommy, John surgery. Right. Between between Otani has been able to do in a short period. He was healthy to what he's been able to do as far as comeback goes. I think I agree with a lot of people if Shohei Ohtani were doing this in New York, or Boston, or Chicago, perhaps or even with the dodger franchise. I think you just get lost a little bit with a team that hasn't been competitive while he's been on it, and you're in the shadow of Mike. Trout it I think we take him for granted. And I and I hope as he continues to get better. We don't he he's a freak. He's a freak of nature. I mentioned Brendan McKay who can who can really hit, and is a really, really good pitcher Otani was succeeding at both at a major league level. And look, if he never pitched again, which is not going to happen. But if he'd never pitched again you see the hit tool e he will be and could be a very productive hitter for. A very long time. So I think sometimes in Otani's case he's versatility in a world now which they reward versatility is even even that gets overlooked a little bit. And it's a little bit unfortunate, and look, I'm not a huge cycle like that's unbelievable. And is is infrequently as it happens. Get get floored by it. I think a lot of it has to do with with luck. I mean, you are putting the bat on the ball which he does really well. And many times, you get a triple. You're you're really lucky fat. Freddy Freeman had a triple the other night. I it's not like you try to do it. So it's not an accomplishment that you're generally attempting to accomplish and, and he did. So I I'm not a cyclist guy, but I am I am in Otani guy. And I think sometimes he gets taken for granted. Yeah. And you could see from his response when he got the single as the last part of that cycle when he was walking back to first base, he was fired up. You know. And they collect the baseball and they Mark it up. And it'll be something ill. Hang on forever..

Eight fifty KOA, the final score, there was nine to six Colorado, the White Sox the Yankees in Chicago. They were tied four all bottom of the seventh inning. Showtime Shohei Ohtani leading things up for the angels here to start things off in the third inning and banks ball off the wall out in left center field. And he will slide into second base to start this inning off with a leadoff double are already in the pits. That's a liner out of the reach of the first baseman d'arno that when will go all the way down in the corner. Otani is going to have a chance for its ripple. He's headed to third, and he is going to get it easily so Shohei Otani, you kinda awkwardly went into third base scanner kind of catches balance keep his foot on the bags. The next catch. There's a shot in a right center. It's going to drop in for a base. It Otani make a turn. And stop at first base in. He is just tip for the cycle. He did it on to strike pants Shohei Ohtani. What about you guys one would guess? Yes BUSTER, but. Not to not to rain on Shohei parade. Oh, now, let me don't even go there. You don't eat and go there. But go ahead. You're going to diminish him. Go ahead. I'm in the camp that four home runs is better than the cycle, two doubles triple and a home run better than the cycle to triple double a homerun better than the cycle, the cycle just seems like such an arbitrary thing like congratulations, great day. Good game. But like to go down in the record books, like at some sort of huge accomplishment. It's kind of like wearing fifty points in the NBA now really doesn't mean as much as he used to. 'cause it just happened so often. Now, I would agree with that. I'd say this Josh been hanging out with booth way too much. "There's not a single line. From the love of. No not. Since last. I'm gonna sit down and write myself a letter. Make believe it came from. I'm gonna write words. Oh, so sweet. They got knocked me off. Kisses on the bottom. Glad I gotta. Smiling. Say I hope you're feeling better. With love. I'm gonna sit down. The ladder. With k. Way. You fellas play. I'll say. Feeling better. Just the post. Me. I'm gonna sit down and Rodman. Me leave. Believe. Make believe..

"Though we cannot see him the true ruler of this world is an enemy hell bent on our destruction and i john chapter five the apostle john wrote the whole world lies in the power of the evil one jesus rules us you and me his followers and he will rule the world to come but for now right now satan whole sway on this earth that's why anger greed and materialism characterize our culture as john eldredge is famous for saying we live in a world at war we live in the fog of war a fog of confusion a fog meant to press in and fill all the spaces in our mind and our hearts and in our calendars so we are busy we are tired we are overwhelmed with information and demands we could choose to pull away completely like the desert fathers did in the third century away from culture away from civilization away from the battle but that's not a realistic option for you or me or most any of us and that's not what we're called to though he says we're not of this world jesus speaking directly to his father in heaven in john chapter seventeen praise i do not ask that you take them out of the world but that you keep them from the evil one we are meant to be here in the world but not of the world we're meant to be in this fight and it's imperative that we resist resist the enemy and resist culture the apostle paul wrote in romans chapter twelve we must resist being conformed to this world and it is around that word conform that the battle rages to conform is to comply with to accept to go along with something and that's exactly what the enemy through the culture of the world tries to get us to do the messages of our culture are intended to thwart and harass and tempt and hurt god's children so that we get lost in the fog of war and live confused in bondage not in freedom focused on self promotion and self protection make no mistake we are living in evil times justice paul wrote in fiji's chapter five so what do we do well we connect with god we find time to connect with him that is how we prepare for battle and that is how we fight and listen i know with how busy you are this can all sound like a lot to take but remember what we heard holy spirit's say this feels like a mountain to climb but it is not this feels daunton impossible but it isn't i make everything possible i rescue you heal you give you new life if you want me to study my word it is.
