"Anfernee Simons and Jusuf Nurkic. And Portland gets Washington's pick, which I think is eight. So seven or eight? Eight, Pacers are seven. Portland gets eight and Porzingis who opts in and Corey Kispert. So Washington moves up to three and they get who's ever left with Scoot and Brandon Miller. They get Simons and they get Nurkic. Portland moves back four spots. They add Porzingis, they add Kispert as a shooter. And then they basically don't have to take Brandon Miller if they don't like him at three and they can take somebody else they like. you What do think? So they get Porzingis. Is he opting in? Yeah, he has to opt in as part of it. Kispert, Kispert getting a lot of mentions today. His stats are good. I actually, eye test wise too. I was like, this guy, eh, something's here for a wing guy who could shoot threes. If I'm Washington, I'm saying it in a minute. Excuse me, I'm saying yes in a second. Because I don't really, even though Porzingis had a nice season, there's no version of events where he's part of the future. None. I like Kispert a little bit, but I don't want to move down from, like the reason this is such a yes for the Wizards is because I'm getting potentially Scoot here. Like I'm - Yeah, but I made this assuming Scoot's gonna go to, one of the things is - Miller then, Miller then. I'm thrilled to walk away from this draft with Brandon Miller, knowing that I'm moving eight and probably two pieces that are in a big part of my future unless you think Kispert has like this whole level that he's gonna get to. I don't. One thing I liked about this for Portland is you get to dump Nurkic's deal, which I think is a top 10 or 12 worst contract right now. Nurkic has 16 .8 next year, 18 .1, and then 19 .3 and 25, 26. It's just brutal. I mean, he's, to me, a bottom five starting center and you're just getting crushed by that contract for three years. So you're basically flipping him into Porzingis. Right, but for them, like they're not - Washington wouldn't care. Right, they're gonna pay somebody anyway. I just think that the number three pick is worth it to take on. And you're actually getting a talented piece back in Simons where he's not perfect, but he's only on that like lower extension for the newer guys. So I'd be okay with it. All right. My, just for the record, I would do that trade if I was Washington. I would say no if I was Portland. Yeah, we agree. Yeah, okay. Would you do Jaylen Brown for Zion and Herb Jones? I get Herb Jones too? Well, Zion for Jaylen Brown's a no, right? Straight up if you're Boston. Oh, look at you. Look at him. You and I've, I think you and I are on the higher end of Zion believers. I just, there was two different points of his career where he was doing stuff I'd never seen before from somebody with his body and his size and his profile. And both of us were like, I think you and I were about as focused on it as any non -Pelicans fans for like, do you guys realize what's happening right now? It was like, this guy is completely unguardable. I just worry that he got the contract already and he doesn't seem to have any sort of maturity at all. Like at all. And if he was playing for something, I would feel better about it. But the fact that he already has the money makes me really nervous because we've seen this a few times. I would probably say no, but man, I would have a three hour meeting with my staff. Only cause I've made five conference finals in seven years. And I don't know, would you do it? No, I probably wouldn't. And by the way, just for everybody that's gonna like, cause I can already see the, oh, they proposed a trade that didn't even go, like if you'll allow us the flexibility of knowing that other contract filler would be thrown into some of these things, even if like the parameters of the deal, like look. If Boston, New Orleans wanted to figure out a Zion, Jaylen Brown deal, they probably could figure one out. Yeah, after July 1st, it gets a lot easier too. Well, not on the bigger number stuff. Like the new CBA, it actually is tougher to match up the salaries in the new one. But they could do, it could be Zion and Herb Jones for Jaylen Brown and Gallinara and you could get basically exactly the same numbers. You probably have to add more on the New Orleans side. So maybe, you know, anyway, look. So if you'll allow us the creativity of giving you the main points without having to, I don't know, whatever. So, okay, but here's the thing, like Jaylen Brown going to the Pelicans solves their Zion problem immediately. And if you're Boston, whatever you think of them now, and even kind of on the Phoenix thing, one of my number one things that I'll do is I'll look at what you're doing and go, okay, does this at least give you a chance? Does this give you a chance to compete for a championship? And that's not a long list of the teams. And as disappointing as Boston's losses to Miami, they go into next year still having a legitimate chance to win an NBA championship. And messing with that and breaking that up, despite the flaws, like every other team, I wouldn't be in a hurry to mess with that. So if I'm Boston, I'd still say no, despite you would have like some real moments being like, what, imagine if we get Zion and he figures it out. But again, that's a huge, that's a huge, he's played 114 games in four years, played 29 games last year. And he's had a couple of major injuries and just does not seem like he can stay in shape. Yeah, I did a thing on my pod like six weeks ago about the Almost Club. Like how long is a window for a team before you just kind of have to go, we got to try something different. Like we can't get over the hump. And it does feel like the Celtics are either there this season or they're one season away. Like if it doesn't happen for them next season, at some point you just got to go, look, man, this has been 80 % of a decade. We got to like do something. We can't just be like, oh, let's run it back. I'm mailing you this trade because it's complicated. Just so you look at it, I just texted it to you. It's a Zion trade. It involves New Orleans and Charlotte and Houston. Okay, and here's the trade. Thank you for sending these to me because now I can look at it as you're saying it. Appreciate it. Houston gets Zion Williamson and the number 27 pick. Charlotte gets the number four pick, Jalen Green and Kira Lewis. So they move back two spots and they get Jalen Green. New Orleans gets the number two pick and Terry Rozier and first round picks from Brooklyn in 24 and 26. So basically they flipped Zion into number two, Terry and Rozier two Brooklyn firsts.

"Right in that range and then it's got the escalator language. So if you could somehow makes all NBA team or anything like that, then he bumps up to that full 207, which is the Trae young that's where Luka doncic will be. So, yeah. So I think that's wrong, you know, a pretty good, you know, spot for them to be there and then they re-signed Mike muscala. That was a little bit of a surprise, but they've always liked him. There. They like that, he's dead. You know, that big in there to work with their other young big, so like Alexi books schefsky and those guys. So, I'm just remember if it was one of my, it was one of my favorite like, just offer stated tweets of the night, it just popped back into my head. That when the mic was small thing came across. I remember my tweetdeck is just, you know, going berserk, right? Like a, cuz there's so much going on and I just saw just enough of yours. I think he tweeted something like, like, in response to Mike muscala. You just tweeted like, I mean, okay, or whatever. Like, I guess, I guess that's something like, like that, where it's like, yeah, that's that is it? That's the reaction to Mike muscala, right? They already traded Moses Brown, and Al Horford out. They they added off waivers in case anybody forgotten that had happened in a salary dump from Utah and then Kemba Walker clearly on, they added him. We'll see if you know, maybe one of these teams that misses out on a point, guard gets a little more often. You're sitting Kemba Walker, you know, potentially in a trade as of right now, I would guess know you would that, but you do have the Knicks everything that they did other than resigning, Derrick Rose. They did not add a point guard, okay? Other than Derrick Rose. So you know, let's see what the next few on day two. They've got about seven million more in cap space so that could be targeted at one of these guys who hasn't been signed yet. But yeah well we'll see when we get there Portland Trailblazers their big deal was resigning Norman. Powell five years ninety million so big chunk of change for Norman Powell but don't get robbed. Yeah, refer to as that. Now the Duncan Robinson deal but they added that Macklemore from the Lakers. Like I'm going to be a minimum contract, they're dead. He was going to get squeezed out by think more Shore, things in L and LX. Yeah yeah. That's that's exactly a Wayne Ellington, you know. Yeah we'll talk about we get the Lakers but that's what happened job. But I like that for Portland, they needed somebody who could, you know, knock down some shots and then they added Cody Zeller, he's going to be there new backup, big my guess is they're moving on from enes Kanter? So Zeller world team team up behind Jusuf nurkic there and then they lost Zach Collins. Well, we're going to come back to that one. Yes, we're getting that one. We're going to finish with that verse but yeah, yeah, all right. That's perfect. Well, you should now and I'll go on a rant that's going to be fun to go here. So yeah, I mean, I don't know that any of these moves are get Damian Lillard saying, you know, let me know. You'll be a buy more real estate here in Portland and eventually you'll lock down even further. But you know, it's a start at least you'll.

"Hello everybody. Welcome back to the NBA front-office YouTube channel. Today, we've got a lot to talk about, so big names to I'm talking Damian Lillard, Collin Sexton, we've got maybe a coaching hire now in New Orleans, a lot of stuff going on around the NBA. We're going to dive into all of it. The first make sure you do subscribe right here into the NBA front-office YouTube channel. And don't forget to turn on those notifications off as well and if you like this video make sure you hit the like button hits. Let's dive into this man. First, remember that's up is Damian Lillard according to Anthony Slater of the athletic, the Warriors have talked about trading at least internally, discussed trading for Damian Lillard, how ridiculous with that backcourt be Damian Lillard and Steph Curry together. That's just that's just not fair. Yeah. How do you defend that right? You're going to have to pick them up at the opposing freezer line at that point, pretty much and yeah it would be a mess. It's one of those ones where dead Really, like, it's just seems like it's something you pull off into K or fantasy basketball. I will be completely honest with you. And everybody watching here, I'm going to get tired of the Damian Lillard to stuff eventually, but we're not there yet, right? So let's keep keep having a little bit of fun with it. Yeah, I mean, what would they give up? That's, I guess. Sort to be the question. It's gonna probably be Andrew Wiggins, and then picks a whole bunch of them was my guess just for wise men, of course, in terms of salary-wise, it has to be what wise, men and Wiggins together assuming that you're not doing Dreaming or or Claire staff. Yeah, we have pretty close and, you know, maybe you could work in a little bit more and take back like Jusuf nurkic if they wanted to get rid of him or or something, that'd be kind of fun. Nurkic green Thompson, Korean word nasty offense there, you know, Draymond Green would never have to shoot. He probably never would you prefer just, you know, focus on moving the ball..

"Like you know it's Valanciunas did what someone like Jusuf nurkic did in the Adriatic League? This is you know Nikola jokic is big year. Jokic was a statue of people, remember correctly off his big year came, after he was stashed where he won like the Adriatic League MVP and you know, it was very clearly the best player in that League. He really wasn't that until afterward, really, he was entering the draft like Denver was excited about him because jokic went to the Nike hoop cement and was excellent playing with like Emmanuel mudiay and pick-and-roll. And like being, you know, just kind of a super high feel the game guy while being 6-foot table. With a 7.4 wingspan, like, it's another guy who was like, really actually underrated physical tools, cuz everyone just kind of sees them as. Oh yeah. He's like the you know, kind of kind of puffy you know, non-explosive guy. But he's also got super lengths to shoot over the top of people and his body control and like the way that he processes the game, obviously, it's just incredible but I digress, what I'm saying goon there are a few things that I worry about in terms of translation, but I think that you hit of most of the positives. I think his hands are like some of the best hands I've seen for a big Prospect. Like he just is so coordinated and fluid. And his hand eye coordination is so unbelievable that he's just so productive. And he has a really great feel for how to find jobs in areas, I think and how to find these just little soft spots in the defense and then sitting them especially out of ball screens but also, like, frankly, out of posts up Mekong, Pass, you know, it was a kick out, guy drives and then he just like finds that little soft spot like either in the dunker spot or in the middle of the paint where he's going to be able to find that dump off pass, right? Like wage is a very, very smart impressive player. The few things that worry me here is I don't really love the shop mechanics to, you know, it's okay for mid-range to doesn't get a ton of lift on it. He has got a decent touch from there. But from 3, I do not, I think it's just takes them forever to get it off. Like if I do you remember when Willie cauley-stein like people pre-draft were like, yeah like Willie cauley-stein. Like look at these shots in a wide open gym like he might shoot it at some point. We do that with everybody. I'm guilty of it too. But yes. Right. But like you watch those shots off and he was like taking a full. Second of sad had like an enormous exaggerated ball dip and you know, was making them wide open and then it's just like, well when you have a guy wrong, Get him and he's not going to have his long to get it off. Like he's not going to have as much time to set these shots are just like not going to be likely to go in at full speed in the game. Like we're saying good is that like I don't think he's going to make shots like in the midst of the run-of-play right now. Like I think he's at least a few years away from that makes free throws like very clearly has good touch. I just think it's going to take time for him to be anything resembling a shooter. Like he might be more of a more of a Jonas, Valanciunas like.

"With him and stuff like that all the time and and he he lives he's just like all of us he lives and dies with every single play which is so great. That is great to see and meanwhile, Derek birth. You're just kind of calm and quiet and watching the game and every once awhile, he'll throw out something like oh they just ran that set and they should have done this this and this here and and so he's really good boy. He breaks things down. And by the way James Brown was there as well and he is as loud and animated and as cheerful as as he comes across on on T. He just it's just who he is, which is very cool. Oh, that's awesome. Awesome. So let's get into a few other comments here where we where we call it an evening and we still have to get to the Master Lock of the night people asking what can we do as far as trading Gasol? Yeah, you're probably not trading them at this point a veteran minimum salary. Ricky Gilbert says Gasol should be able to guard jokic. Yeah. I mean that that's really what you got Marcus. All right specifically for that kind of a matchup for Nikola jokic for perhaps Jusuf nurkic, the bigger centres that you could run into in the NBA, maybe even a rude dog. Bear you might have to have deal with that. So there are some centers that they that are not that quick that Gasol might be needed to deal with in the NBA Playoffs. There are some matchups where he doesn't look good tonight. I thought was kind of one of those nights and frankly. We're seeing him not look good more often than not but there's also some very specific matchups where you might wind up glad that you had him. Now, that doesn't mean they don't need to go find somebody else though. And again, I do think the Lakers are dressed that on the buyout market and less something just Falls abruptly cuz lap before the trade deadline, which is Somebody said poor Gasol. He's getting hammered nightly. I know I don't want to you know, I really, you know, I'm really curious though to see him in that matchup. I mean maybe if we took I don't know what our next match up is with the Nuggets, but you know, maybe it'll make us feel a little better if we see him a good showing against Joker cuz you know, the only thing you had me thinking about was like, okay, I'm thinking back to what we had before and you know, Javale McGee was getting bullied by what guy you're referring to so, you know, maybe if we think it's all in some matchups like what you're saying that kind of our little more suitable for him a better matchup, you know, maybe we'll feel a little better. I mean probably not cuz I know you know, we've you know, it's been kind of tough these last few games watching him, but I don't know man. It looks like he could just use like to lose a good fifteen or twenty pounds. Honestly, it would probably help them out a lot. Well, so I've got you know, when we look at Marcus all it would take a really monstrous performance from him. I think in order to turn around some of the negativity that we see around him, which I still think is a bit overblown. I think people don't give credit for the things that he does. Well, for example, the Hawks wage and they the Lakers just put gas. All right, as a free throw line right in that high post exactly what they should do. He got the ball. He didn't even hesitate the ball was in his hands for less than a second and here I full. Out to the Ball out to the corner for a 3-pointer the Lakers psyche. He picked that zone apart in a second and there's very few centers in the NBA that can do that..
