I think what's what's smart about this version of the you know border-crossing story is that by grounding it in the perspective of the child any audience member who is unfamiliar with some of this stuff is discovering it with him right now and that's always the brilliance of using the child as your perspective character is that you can take a child. Put them into adult circumstances and go. This is what people have to deal with. Oh now now my brain works and you can introduce them in. Walk them through the ins and outs of this things. Because the children doesn't understand so now you have to explain to the child and then you get to explain to the audience and so i think that this movie you talk about how this movie really works. And it's because this movie is a very effectively thought out film from from the perspective of the narrative to what he faces to how he handles what he faces to the choices that we see other characters make you know. I think that it's just an overall really effective Film and i was. I was really touched by it and i was also blown away by by the young boys performance. I thought that carlos did absolutely he broke my heart in so many subtle ways all the time when he gets up and pays the bill while having his meal with his dad. Another moment where. I was jusuf upset. Was when he gets out of the complex in the car gets founded and he leaves and they show that he dropped his money all of his money. I screamed settle. Who would you do this. There's so much I I wanNA talk to you about but for your sanity I'll try to keep it. Keep it short so I feel like your life is and there's many monumental moments in your life so i Kinda Wanna put everything together other for people who live in New England. You know people that are a fan of yours for what you've done on the field what you've done off the field so I'm going to try to paint a complete fleet picture and I know for your saying they try to keep it in a minimal amount of time So you're boarding redding California and I thought I read a quote Ryan where you said at times it might be more conservative places in Alabama's that growing up at least anyway. It was that something. He's still feel today that that's the absolute truth growing up and even today I mean I think it's safe to say it might even be more conservative than it was when I was growing up. Just there's a lot of I'll reply Jusuf Sir religious influence in town that that moved into town and it's really been driving the politics and there's just not a big city city nearby so it's kind of a bubble in a lot of people. Don't get out sell it targeted open. Mind when when you Kinda stuck somewhere case for a lot of people here yeah and that makes so much sense and I guess that's a conversation at a time because I feel very strongly it from what you're saying because I feel like people talk religious and religion I and it's supposed to be preaching tolerance. oftentimes I feel. But it's I even think with any religion Ryan wherever you live. The more important horn thing is how do you treat people on a day to day basis. Not what you believe what you think will get you into heaven like what are you. How are you treating your everyday man even even if you might not disagree even if you don't agree with what this person does or doesn't do I don't know that's you've ignited something merely on and I totally agree with you? Yeah we're on the same case we are so you're you're a conservative Irish Catholic family. I'm Irish get it. I'm talking about your childhood growing up outside of the obvious in what many people know about you that you struggle which we're going to get to talk to me about it was like growing up for you personally. I don't I don't have a lot of bad things to say about my childhood. Like my family. My Daddy always provided everything everything I ever needed You know we -cations all all that was was great him. I think the things that in my childhood that affected me down the road were the different things that would here. Come out of the mouths of my loved ones and that that was really that the lasting effective of is my childhood. And that's why I'd speak to adults and parents these days. I really try to stress You know watching what you say is at all sticks and stones wake posit. Words will never hurt you but that that's that's not the trip especially as a kid you you hear those words and they stick with you for your life and you know it has a way else. That's different things and they come from people that you admire him before we get to some of that Ryan Ryan. How many siblings do you have? I have one sister WHO's sixteen months older My Dad when he was eighteen he got married and had two kids. I do have two half sisters who are quite a bit older.
