"He knew the pressures, and you know how much and what her job entailed and he was fine with an e supported it and. Kim Knew Who Kanye was and knew what he was going through. They had been friends for years she knew. that he had episodes and you know being with him. She realized that. Is Manic bipolar? It's just I. Don't think there's anyone to blame here and it just makes me so sick that women get blamed when men go awry. You know what I mean right like a man cheap. What did you? Why did you not figure it out? If a man loses money because he was buying a lot of things you, the woman wanted a lifestyle. He was just try to keep up with it. You know what I mean like it's. It's all those simple things where we always want to blame on the women of the situation. Yeah, and it's hard, because obviously like you. You can't blame Connie for what he's saying during during these moments, but it's gotta be hard for Kim to see that you know. The way that he is portraying this to the public is that. She and her family. Are you know? The cause of of a lot of this which is and you know. And she said a report of what you said because she put out a statement on her instagram today. Saying as many as many of you know Connie has bipolar disorder. Anyone who has this or has a loved one in their life who does knows how incredibly complicated in painful it is to understand I've never spoken publicly about how this has affected us at home because I am very protective of our children. Children in Kenya's right to privacy when it comes to health, but today I feel like I should comment on it because of the stigma and misconceptions about mental health, those who understand mental illness or even pulsa behavior know that the family is powerless, unless the member is a minor people who are unaware or far removed from this experience can be judgmental and not understand that the individual themselves have to engage in the process of getting help no matter how hard family and friends. I thought that was such a huge. Like that that end paragraph is so important for people to realize like. This family. Is Right now. We are powerless in handling. What's going on unless Khania comes to US and wants to move forward, and what did you? What's the last the last line of that that statement? I went she had said with love and gratitude. or In Kim Kardashian west of us. Yes, she. Yes. Yup Yup and and I think it's it's very strong of her. Because she has never really commented on it before, but it's so sad because feel like Kanye is mentioning North and is mentioning Kim. End is mentioned Chris that now. She has to speak on it. But it's interesting because the Chris of it all. Have you ever met. Jenner before. No Same same room at the people of course awards. That's about it, we. Wish Kris Jenner is one of these opens people I've ever met in my life. She is the kindest she will. If you say something her mind, go even if you're just a friend of a friend and her mind is well many I know somebody. Let me just let me get that for you. You know what I mean like. It's Berry. She's very sweet. She's very caring. She's very generous, and you can tell that by her because her daughters are the same way a Khloe crashing as the person. She is because she was raised by Kris Jenner. And it's funny because a person my conway. In control of everything, and who likes to be who likes it? His way you know is not used of Kim relying on Chris for a of guidance, but Chris has been there since Kim's. Debut into this celebrity world and she's never steered her wrong in her life. Her career flourished. She's never had a had a odd point or bump in the road that she couldn't get over. Because Chris was there and I. Feel like Procon. Yeah in his manic state. Because what happens when you're in a manic moment, you give paranoid and you you dramatize things in your head, and make them bigger, and I think he thinks Chris is orchestrating this whole thing and Chris is running the show. You know Kim probably went their mom and was like Yo. I don't know what to do, and she probably goes to Chris to figure out things about business, and in life and motherhood, and being a wife like what do I do. Because Chris dealt with some of the same stuff. Not The bipolar are the May, but she held her head high when her husband became wife. You know her ex wife and she held her head high. When you know her husband, her ex husband was dying of cancer and was there for him so. I just think that Kanye thinks that Chris Meddling. You know mother-in-law and she's not. She's the voice of reason and the leader in the guide for these women. Absolutely and I, also think there's something about Kanye being on twitter also correlating with the fact that he must be reading. A lot of what people are saying about him in the Kardashian family and or I. Don't know if you guys think that, and and that's why he saying You know the movie. Get Out is about me. Da Stuff people have said about him. And about Kris Jenner and the crash in controlling his life like these are all jokes that people make all the time or yet jokes, but they're not that funny on the Internet so it's like maybe this is also getting into his brain a little bit, and like you said the paranoia is setting in, and he's starting to believe these thanks one hundred percent. I just ultimately wish. And I know nobody's asking for my advice. You know you know I hate that. The team that's around him. Don't understand the situation that he's in. You know if I knew that my you know when I worked for cow Richards for five years as Ladies Center inside Gig. If Kyle was going through something on this level, and she wanted to put on a campaign rally in South Carolina I would be like we can't do it. We can't get the permits. Sorry I would lie. With live, but it seems like the people that he has around him. Don't feel the power are don't feel like they have the energy to just sit him down and say okay. We've gone too far. You know what I mean or just help him. Not Do what he did in South Carolina, because that all could have been with Kobe. Going on with permits with you know the Wifi could have been done in south. Carolina. I don't know they could have made up some excuse of. How I don't know how they didn't come up with something like literally yeah. Just Corona, being an example like hey. Kinda. We can't like covert we. It can't happen and one hundred percent, but because he's Konya wants to tell him. No which is is probably a very hard place to be in because it's. So, you're like, do I? Say No to this person. I'm Greg I'm afraid. Afraid of fired or anything heard crazy stories about why. Kanye has fired people so. They could be afraid of anything. One hundred percent and I feel bad because I've was friends with a celebrity on that magnitude and I think person like me around for the short time that we were friends, because I was a no fucker. You can to see that to be..

"Yeah, you know we might. We might get back together and it's like what. Holding onto this yet. He said something about butterflies. They gotta fly away sometimes, and sometimes they come back, which is yeah I feel like he knows Meghan Spirit like Meghan is clearly very free spirit, and he is aware of that, and she clearly I took away from that like she has come and gone before like she has. She has come back. Many times are sure we'll do that. Article. That came out in two thousand fifteen. He had undiagnosed. Brain is where he was bed at for a very long for almost a year a few months, and she left, and while he was on his bed rest because she needed to go ahead and fly allegedly. Yes, I think for Brian Austin Green. He's holding out hope because. Anybody wants back on David seen at forty something. I mean like right and this is the problem with men who marry younger women. It's a at some point you're going to turn into that old Yeti. You're going to have to get a Celsius bugger. WAKEUP and keep this flame alive because. Like I took on the responsibility to marry somebody who was a tiny bit older. You did the same being married somebody younger so I'm a need you to put in a little bit of effort. And if you know, your girl is a wild blamed and likes you know to explore and experiment. Don't sit at home. They make macaroni and cheese doodle for you know the whole time you're married. Get out there. Bring it onto Linda. Take too God. Damn Coachella even though you're old as the here. Matter all and go. Do something fine I I don't understand when I think for Brian Austin Green he's holding out hope because he didn't want to really have to move on right and especially someone like Megan, Fox, you would think Oh, this is Megan. Fox with like I need to live up to this expectations. I need to be this. This amazing man I need to do crazy shit because it's making thoughts but I feel like when you spend so much time with. With somebody after a while the Oh she's Meghan, Fox probably wore off for him, and he probably felt like he didn't need to put in the work anymore. Well, it was Angelina Jolie. You know what I mean like. Oh my gosh, she's so fiery. She's so steamy then all of a sudden jars, telling you bit Mediterranean and wants to be on eight o'clock every night, and you're like wait. What happened to the loud sex in the blood miles in the Limo Fund. Everything kind of goes out the window when you grow up, but. I. Just hope because remember how like back in the cut. Everybody would day John Mayer, and it'd be like he's the deepest person I've ever met. Business a connection, and all these incredible, sexy, beautiful, smart and talented women would one after the other fall for his shit because Mary was Timpson, Jessica. Jess I know I read. A after reading Justin's book I was like this woman unbelievable that she was stuck with John Mayer for so long Katy Perry Jennifer Aniston talking about becoming godparents to their children because they made a friend they had they had a support group for women. Who Fell Bridge on mayorship and I'm just like making come on making box like M G K is a musician. This is his thing. He's a poet. He's post to bring people and with those words. I just don't want it to happen to her, but you know what bucket if it's a while. Having a good time, why not? You're? So funny to like like go back and forth with it, 'cause you're like. Oh, I want Megan Fox to find love and just be happy, but then you're like you know what she seems like a wild child, so if it's a few months of like really steamy sex, they're just totally into each other, and then it dies out. It's like all right. That's Kinda what we were expecting anyway because it is so strong right now and someone like mg K., who by the way we never really talked about the fact that Pete Davidson and mgk who are best friends, both were banging Kate Beck and sale within months of each other. Came back in sound undervalued that house. You should not be renting that house out to anybody Bichir. Kate back, but you know what, but that actually came back and south went through a divorce sexy as hell. You know what you should be banging best friends. It's almost in. It's just impressive on their part that they're like back in sale. Megan Fox like just all of these iconic women. Problem, but this is the problem when your K-, Beck. Excel, you gotta be banging. dudes who aren't going to go and tell other people that you're being induced you what I mean like. Yeah, are like you are bad bitch so I if somebody like a Hollywood starlets here that have had some very amazing sexual conquest, and we don't know about them, because everybody keeps the sacred, they keep it inside the bubble. They keep it inside. Inside the box trust and believe once these women are married retired already to write that book. They're going to talk about all those conquest. I just don't want people to have the audacity are feel like they can run around and be like. Yeah. We came back and sell like no. She's a legend telling people. You should've felt lucky that you even got to walk inside that house. Much less park your shit inside of their. I completely agree, but I also. Put myself in the shoes like Pete Davidson or machine gun, Kelly and being like. Robbing my mind around being with some of the hottest women on planet Earth, and just like and just like having to let it out like and you know Pete. Davidson is documented so many times I like we're just like. Being in shock that he has actually been with some of these women and you know wishing on Kelly is in that same place right now. Being like Holy Shit this Meghan Fox next three. Really. How did I? Get here I'm not GonNa Complain I'm just GonNa like she says on her twin flame I. Don't know what the fuck that means, but I'm just getting rolling. It's like when Tom Green was taken. Everyone my y'all really sleepy where Tom Green. Really Tom Green? It's crazy because I'm not attracted to be Davidson at all, but if I were a girl. And I had heard that Ariana Grande Bei Kai Gruber an K beckon, sell kept on going back for something, and I saw the great sweatpants video where he was just flopping it around I would probably try to test it out. Oh, I would be let up in Costco, just trying to eat the sample. I would say I wouldn't dated. Sample! No, there's no. There's no dating Davidson I think that we've all learned that from seeing his past relationships with their something to add that maybe cate. Beckon sale wanted people to know that she was with Pete Davidson. Because of the status. He was getting from Arianna Guerande. Maybe she was like. The game the game she's she's a celebrity and she has been celebrity for two decades for a reason. They know how to play the game, so yeah came back and saw probably sixty percent of her was I yeah I. WanNa be young in nimble and show these boys. What's up know that thirty percent of her was a my ex. Husband has his hot young model. I'm going to show. And then the other ten percent of her was I. What I have a movie coming out. This is going to be great save. You need to tell people that we smashed it out I'm because I'm on the cover of shape magazine we got. Yup Yup totally so I'm curious as to what your opinion is Justice on M G K M Megan Fox long-term. Do you think this this twin flame Burns Burns out quickly? I think she's going to leave him hydride..

"Our favorite wine to drink this summer where drinking at all summer long they have all different types of wine, and if you get a box, it is six and a half bottles in that box, so you know what you're never going to. To have to run back to the story, the bottle you gotta do is Cara box around whether you're going to the beach whether staying inside whatever it is Francia is the wine to go to. My personal faith is a peanut gratiot. Of course friend. You've been talked about those rows. Say Juice boxes that you've been drinking from Francia. They are fantastic. The sunset blush also amazing. So many options, rich and buttery Chardonnay Sunset Blush Rosy Pink Must Scotto Pinot grease like little savvy. They got it all Sabi. A love Asami be. Exactly. There's really so many amazing types of wine and on top of that. We've been seeing you guys tagging us in your frenzy oppose, we love it. It's fantastic and it's a great great summer. Drink great way to just hang out a chill relaxed. Get your nice wine last in. Fill it up and it's amazing because you know sometimes. One bottle. Doesn't do the trick and. You? Have enough for yourself, and for friends for you to properly hang out a proper social distance. Hang Out, but with with Francia. Centerpiece, right and you know like you said one bottle. It's usually never enough. If you're drinking with with friends or your even drinking alone or maybe one other person, one bottle is just it's not going to do it, so get the whole box at six and a half bottles in that and like we said tag us in these post. Guys I feel like you know. When this podcast I started off time, we'd see people tagging US listening to the US in the office and you know we still see that from time to time, but not as hot so just reminders minus just reminded us. If you tag, we will re post it one hundred percent of the time. I literally riposte every time somebody tags me and if you're drinking France, yeah, tag us as well because we'd love to re post you as well if you tag Francia sometimes, it just makes me think like wow here. We are influencing. You Know Yeah, Oh man! We really needed US influence. Influencing So so proud of US Francesca. We have a fantastic episode today. Really just a fun fun episode been on a roll. Of course always on the back, but some good stuff it's summer and like Noah said the other day, the dog days of summer were still grind. We're still doing our thing, and this episode is really fun. Because we have Justin Sylvester from E. Aka, the lady said her who is so much fun and fucking hilarious. You guys are GonNa Laugh Throughout love episode. Even though there are some serious topics, you're still gonNA laugh. You're still going to have a good time I'm really really excited for this one. Excited for you guys to hear it, but before we get into all of that, we need to talk about something extremely important. That is happening today. Is. Ten Years Since one direction ten years. Yeah, it's ten ten years. That's makes me feel. Extremely old and I'm not old at all. It just made us a glimpse into the past. That's all it. It makes you. It doesn't make me feel as much old as it does. Make me feel like and these are basically the same thing. Makes me feel like more far removed from being. Like fifth child like I said. You know like some old timers still think that I'm fifteen. The things I do and watch in say on our Disney channel tastes are. Fifteen. Ask like Yes, and I have never really gotten rid of that part of myself, so hearing ten years is crazy. Really really because of that and also you know all these boys. They've been through a lot been a crazy ten years for them, so I'm really excited. Eh, to see what it all is. Unfortunately, where more recording this Wednesday so all of this? will be out in I. Believe you'll be able to go the website. There's videos and and. I think possibly. They're re releasing like a bunch of old music and stuff like that. There's a whole list of documentary. Give US A. Google play I know. They said that there is supposed to be some kind of video, which is going to touch on the past one that which felt a little documentary. Ask I. Don't think it would be like dat lengthy. Maybe it's you know ten minutes I. Don't know where I'm speculating here. Everyone listening is going to be like friend. You're wrong because I just watched. Whatever it is, so we haven't outing this on on Wednesday. The episode wouldn't be allowed to be put out on Thursday if we recorded it. Exactly Whatever they put out. We're watching it whatever it is whatever it is, we will support and I saw some rumors and I'm not sure you know how. True these are, or if they have any stability to them, but I did see people saying that there might be a fine line documentary in the works with our styles once again, not sure if that's true whatsoever, but I would like to believe it for myself and I'd like to get other people excited about it. Unless Harry styles, breaks our heart and doesn't release it, and then everyone's mad at me. Then ps forget I ever said bad, but if it does come out, just know you heard it here first. Yeah, and just you know for all those. People out who listen to us in loved one direction you were all. Directions I'm sure we have a lot of them. It stays for you I'm happy for you guys. Feel like it's kind of like a holiday so I'm just like best wishes to all. You guys hope you really enjoy. I feel like I'm going to be listened to a lot of one d all Day Long. "Ooh Yeah, Yeah Yeah Have A. Run with decided to get out of La in just. Hang because we're are in a quarantine pot yep. And we turn right back around I was like there's no way I'm Desperado to get out of La desperate to sit by Poo and honor Arosa. CanNot do this at all. So Wha- I agree so. When we went to Idaho, it was very easy in the hotel. We didn't sit by the pool or anything, but. But, and then we saw like little groups of people, and in even still kind of like sat on someone's porch outside. You know really didn't get too close to people. And, but there was one restaurant we went to where it was so tightly packed, and we only they didn't. We should probably laughed and we didn't, and we got lucky and we're fine, but. I didn't know what to do so weird. It was like being in a twilight zone. It freaks you out and let me tell you this because I have called myself out on this. One. You have to turn around when those things happen I wouldn't next time. The second thing is I started. Going to these people started having these little pop up outdoor moments like ten to twelve people and I. Thought it was brave enough to do it and I realized that it's not about. The place you're at are the people. It's about me because sometimes I. Don't trust myself. You know when you get a low drawn your low Hansie. You WanNa talk. You WanNa. You Miss Touching people. Yes, I'm very affectionate person so I was finding myself going back into my old habits, and I had to say no more like if you can't handle being at a restaurant or at a party with ten people social distancing. You can't go anymore because you're freaking yourself out. Yeah, it's so true. It's so true and I just had a very like. was when I was saying like okay like I'm fine everything's fine. The important things are fine. You know what I mean like. Everyone's healthy and were good. I just I feel I. Don't know I feel off. This holiday weekend was very strange. My one of my best friends. Her brother died unexpectedly in Mary's in suddenly, and it was so tragic, and I'm so devastated for her and her family, and we just you know like. That's how like that was like the beginning of the weekend, and then even still like there was no celebrate story. Anything and it was just such an oddball ball. Whole weekend I thought. Did you do anything like July fourth the? You. Know what I said at a front girlfriends pool, but the richards going on right now. Oh. Is that like a mercury thing? Is that like where we're supposed to feel funky? You Know I. Don't know about those things. It's like a murky retrograde, but instead of mercury it's mercury Venus. Pluto everything's in retrograde right now. Girl so everything. Stronger, I'd just sent you a number to a psychic healer Oh good. You'RE GONNA call gene. You're GonNa Text Gina and telecom. You need to talk okay. You'RE GONNA talk to Gina for an hour and she will blow your mind. I think what you're feeling is part of that retrograde, and I believe in those things. Do you, so do I one hundred percent as we all know Mrs. League got me for a lot of cash, but anyway moving on. I believe in everything, but I also think and I wondering if you're feeling this also and I know and if other people are feeling, this way is that you know when this whole thing started. Okay, so we felt a certain way, and then we got used to it, and then it looked like he was ending on wherever they was opening. And now we're in this weird limbo period i. just feel like and again I understand. Everyone feels this way or thinking do is that we're? It's like being in such limbo like I. Literally had to tell myself the other day, just you. Know, it's not just you such as your projects that are on hold. It's not just your life. That's on hold. It's everyone it's all of us. It's every single person, but I also think as a mother. You have to watch yourself extra hard. Because as a mother, you pick up everybody else's energy. So you're not only defending yourself from Terry's energy. You have kids. You're picking their energy. You're picking on the people who work in houses energy. Everybody's energy is slated towards you and you have to be careful of that. That is very very and I. also think what's weird is that Terry is back to work so? where. You and I are like sort of lake. Bob and weave in and figuring it out, and I want to hear what's going on a daily pop right now and how it's been going. He's back, so he's operating. He seeing patients. He's filming. His show licensed to kill right now, and he said the way they've done it on skeleton crew is amazing. They're starting botched. Tomorrow Carey's live his best life. He's back and so what's strange is his energy is kind of like weird lean normal. Yes and then you get caught in the energy, and then you realize you get frustrated that your life is not back to normal like that and. And then like he's tired again, so he's a little irritable and I'm trying to tell him he this great thing or that I. Don't know it's just been very odd and then yeah. The kids are definitely ready to go back to school. As all mothers will tell you, their children must go back to school. They must dame. And I'm telling you I was with. I had to take one of the kids to the doctor and the doctor who has two kids she was like. She was like dare. School has offered them a stay at home program like No. That is never. Never happening. They need to go back to school. But I have to say like my.

"Back everybody and I have the Fabulous Justin Sylvester with me here. Hello, hello, how are you? I'm okay if I'm honest. Okay! Virtual I was reading a little late today. because cocoa has having a friend over, you know poor thing I mean. She's on her electronics, twenty, four, seven, the worst parent, but that's the only way she talks to her friends, and so I've just allowed it and I even had to turn off. You know that thing on your phone like how much screen time you've had God. It's the scariest. scariest thing ever, it's my worst nightmare. It's the worst thing ever and I won't even look at hers anymore because I know. It makes me like the worst parent ever so I've stopped looking at it and there are certain friends that she can hang out with because they've been tested, or they're quarantined or whatever it is, so she had this friend over today and our nanny is here. To kind of oversee it because I've got some, you know working stuff going on, but she doesn't. She wants me to come. Say Hi to the MOM. Of course. Yeah, so that's what I was doing anyway so there we go so now I'm back. Mom Evaluations are no longer happening during cove it, so there's no talking about screen time and I'm a bad mom, because I do this like that's. She went out the window. The minute we got hit with Corona. Okay, I suppose, but you know there's really fabulous people like I don't know if you know who cat net are. They're hilarious. These two MOMS and they go on tour. I mean not right now. Obviously, but they have. PODCAST and the funniest instagram, and they're so real, and they still like post. How much they love their kids everything. There's so real about everything that it's just hilarious, but I there are other people. That I, know in some that I. Don't know that are like you. Look at their instagram feed and it's euphoria. I mean everything is perfect, and I am so when I said I'm okay like I'm always very honest about things some days. I'm great and I think all of us are going through that kind of mercury. No, like up and down. But I'm having a real issue. Watch it and I know it's my issue and I need to like stop following them or something, but I see these people who everything's perfect and their kids are perfect, and everyone's still eating organic balanced meals, the made for at home and there's everything's just perfect, and it's driving me fucking insane. Know who else had a very perfect childhood. Christina Crawford Joan Crawford's daughter from the outside like she had the most perfect childhood, and those girls grow up and they write a mother of work like Mommy. And then we find out the truth. This is what happens with people who are on social media. This is what happens with people who present themselves as perfect MOMS perfect wise. When things get a little rocky. They not only have to answer for what's going on in their lives. They have to answer for the live at day. Tried to keep up for such a long time. Okay, but here's the thing on one hand, and this is what I've. Had people say to me before? Look, you know. I'm putting out content and curate ing of. Pieces of my life for you to enjoy and you Dec- and here are my tips on how fabulous I am, and how I look this way and how I what I buy and all this stuff and I understand that but I. Just I don't know like a normal days I understand that, but I just and again I realize this is maybe my own hangup and unwilling to admit this, but now after months and months and months this shit. I'm just over at like. Where's the bad hair day? Look at me Justin I haven't washed my hair in three days. I've been out like Terry. And I went out for Sushi last night, sitting outside, socially distant, wearing masks, the in and out, but I'm just saying like I haven't watched in threes because I just haven't. No, it's, but that's what light is about. An I love and I respect people who are willing to put it out on French street like that because that's everybody else's reality. This is why people show up for this podcast. Because you're willing to say, my ass is not okay today and I. Don't think people want to watch. Our people want to listen to. You know women who pretend like you know they their baby body back. Back, in two days after having a baby, no bitch, you're in a treadmill or forty eight hours straight or lose weight, and you can tell me like. Don't show up in people, magazine and say was Diet and exercise. Tell me that you spent ten thousand dollars a trainer. Tell me that you spent fifteen thousand dollars in a chef to cook for you three times a day. You spent four hours under the knife to try to get yourself back in shape like i. want to hear those things because they're true. I I'm not? I'm not buying everything social media anymore because I. Know from my own experience I show the Nice. It's totally true and even like I, know people in. The Terry and I know personally some of these some people we know it's really weird. They're living like there's no pandemic. Oh I went to orange. County debris and Down out here, wait let me tell you what I did okay. So I went down I. Think the four sorry. There was a hotel that was opening for the first time since quarantine hit. And on our reservation they said Oh. You know we're going to be at twenty percent capacity. It's GonNa, be like you know easy..
How Queer Eye Star Karamo Brown Deals With Thirsty DMs
"Welcome to just SIP. I am Justin Sylvester and today we have one of the FINEST BLACK MEN ON TV. Joining us for this podcast. This conversation was it was jeep. I found out a lot about myself. I found out a lot about the queer eye. Cast I mean there were some nuggets in this interview and I'm just so happy to have one of the most enlightenment join me today. On this podcast. Please welcome Kerama Brown. Thank you for coming. I'm so glad to be here. We are at just a SIP with the one Kerama Brown. Everybody thank you. I'm calling this episode sex drugs and Maury Povich book. If you guys have not gotten this book right now get it and do yourself a favor. Do not. Just get the book the Audio Book because you can hear it in his own words. I am audio book person. I listen to them all the time. Never have I heard so much heart so much love so much pain behind one person telling a story. I appreciate that Boo at all. So all we can you texting me saying. Oh my gosh that part this part and that made me so happy you have no idea because I put a lot of people when they write memoirs they say they're going to be open transparent about everything but then they don't and I was open and transparent about every single thing for sure I was like I'm not hiding anything I don't want you were giving me. Yama for two hours on the treadmill because we're so open and transparent. Who was the one person you were scared to read this manuscript because you? Kinda just laid out there. Yeah nobody to be honest with you because before I started read everyone knows that I live my life. One hundred percent on one hundred percent open. Because that's the only way I feel like other people can grow if I'm an example of the growth and so I let everyone know completely before I was writing this book. I'm writing it and I would like to include your you being a part of my life in this and if you're okay with it let me know right now. If you're not then I'm going to have to figure out a way to still sell your story switching. Yeah and every single person was like we already figured you'd be honest about it so I wasn't worried about anyone to be honest about it and good and there was one subject in there that you decided that you needed to pull back on so I didn't talk about my mother being abused in detail because my father used to hit her because she still healing and so as I was writing. I was noticing that it was bringing up a lot of emotion that she hadn't healed from yet so I was like you know what I'm not trying to trigger my mother. I love my mother's roll back and help her with the you know the tool so that she could support herself and then when my suicide attempt I figured I don't need to go into detail about that because if someone else's reading it I don't them to say Oh this is how I can do it. Yeah I wanted to instead. Stop at a certain point. And then say if you're having these feelings or if you know some of these feelings here our resources you can use. Yeah because a lot of times people don't do that. Yeah and I'm like if you pick up this book here's a way you can get the hell yeah. Was there something that happened while you were writing where you thought you were over something and you had worked through something but then writing this book you almost had to reactivate it and re re confronted you talk about a lot of things in the book about your name and being gay all these things? Sometimes we don't take on you know we don't take it on fully. Yes we kind of brush over it. Yes they we're fine but we're not anything in this book where you were writing so yes but not really because I do the work myself. I mean like career wise. That's I think I'm so good on. Queer is because having a background in psychotherapy social work. I can do the digging and digging on myself. The one thing I would say that kind of triggered me a little bit was when I got to the color. Ism Chapter in 'cause I talked about how my skin tone my grandmother used to say to me. Don't talk it up a family anymore. Which you know. She comes from a certain time. Where you to be lighter meant that you could have attained more success and so when I was writing that it brought up these feelings again because through Social Media. I get these comments because I'm engaged to a white man. Yeah that somehow me being engaged to a white man has somehow diminished my experience as a black man in this world and it bothers me like people say. Oh You Dana White Guy so you all of a sudden have lost part of your blackness and I'm like when I walk out the world people don't see me with a White Man. They see a black man and when the police stopped me they don't say oh you're dating a white guy we'll let you we'll let you go. You're good yeah. Don't have Kiki somewhere and a drink. No they say you still black band. And that's what gets on my nerves and so when I was writing that I realized that there are still issues with my color that it's a different former Colorado but there's parts of it that still bother me because it didn't erase yeah raise yes completely you know. It's funny because when I first came out. I think people had a problem being gate but now that I've come out and in the past dated a white guy when I go home with a guy they now look at me because I'm an interracial relationship you're from Houston Texas. That probably still happens to you. Oh my gosh are you kidding me everywhere? I go like the minute we pop up. This was really gets me people. Somehow he put me on like back up back you up. My man is successful but my had no hand in giving me the career the success the money in my bank account and it bothers me when we go out and people assume my career is somehow because of something. He's that yeah I'm like have lost. Meanwhile he's like a doctor somewhere else talked about this. You know what I'm saying. DoN'T COME FROM MR. Calhoun exactly well. Let's remind people where you started? Yes because rule. Philadelphia was everything. Yeah you were the first black openly gay man on television. What was that experience reality? Reality mother ru father who was the first. Let's let's be very real but in reality television and when that title came out I didn't even know that also people's right in there and I was like what are you talking. About Ruben around forever and then I was like oh reality television got it and what was it like It's it's it's sad and it's also exciting because I was on the real world in two thousand and four two thousand five. Why in the hell has there never been an openly? Gay Black Man cast before me. Yeah that's a problem for sure because we have been around. Let me take some I go to Atlanta. I go to Chicago New York. Texas Tennessee and black gay men are around thriving doing the most amazing setting culture setting trends yet. I was the first so it kind of disappointed me because I was like there should have been twenty before me before me but then on the same rate I was like well. I'm glad that I could kick open the door so that now there could be more people and then I'm going to continue. Kick Open that door and also gonNA continue that every other brother. That is Gay I'm going to say come up with me. Let's let's do together. I let me applaud. You let me celebrate you. Let's let's do this. We don't do that very often was many. Don't but many do you do I do. And I think it's important that we encourage those who on their journey to loving themselves and to love others to know that we support them in that they'll get there. Yeah no in. Two Thousand and four people weren't living that loud. We were still kind of in the closet. You Know Oprah said. We was in the closet. Let me tell you I was out in the club. Run IN THE STREET. Oh do it in. Oversized Shala John Jeans and Timberlands and then each outfit sounds happy. I need you ought to put together like a collage when you go on TV and you live your life like that and then the reality stops and you're back in your real reality. Yes what was the? What was I guess? What was the backlash because you know with my family? It's like you can be gay. You can be you. We support you but the minute you put it out there. It's a little bit harder. Yes that and that's exactly it. I had family members who immediately were turned off from speaking to me my father and I we already had a rocky relationship because he couldn't reconcile our relationship with his religion and so because he he believed his God was teaching him that somehow I was not perfectly designed and not made in his eyes. He figured I can't talk to you but then on top of that me putting it on television embarrassed him and so he didn't WanNa talk to me. We got into physical altercations. It was bad and there was other family members. Come from Jamaica in house so it's like the Black Culture Jamaican Culture Cuban culture which unfortunately there are members subscribed to this sort of ideal of what it is to be a man. Yeah and then me being proud and well-spoken on national television somehow didn't define me as a man because of the fact that I had intimate relationships with other men and your only son and I'm the only son and so you know it was. It was hard but then on the flip side which I tried to do was focus on all the people who love me like I will just showered with so much love beginning letters and letters and letters from people saying Oh my Gosh I love you. You're amazing mice messages. Dmz ENDS. It was good. It was good but I'm not GONNA lie it. I took a dark path quickly because I felt like I lost myself because trying to battle the family and the good of here trying to be something more at Age. Twenty three was a lot. Yeah and so it got it got rough real quick she black Jamaican and Cuban. Sx is good. You better you show up with a PPO per somebody. Did it. Better be an ambulance late nights. I just can't even imagine it would add. Top passed already clear the room you were living your best life. Look my favorite line. In this whole book I found. It is when you said molly you in danger girl. Okay when your I'm not having an explainer people I'm GonNa let you explain it to them because it was one of the most profound things that I've read. What was that moment like for you when I found my drug of choice. Yes Oh my gosh. Tell me you history. Yes so I mean my father being rastafarian Jamaican Us We'd he recreationally and so it was always in my house shot. Okay I loved it. I loved trying. We'd because it made me feel social when I got it first time from him so it was a weird experience of like not having to go to a corner to get we'd just being able to say. Let Me Walk. My Dad's room and get weed and but then I realized I didn't like the feeling of it. I didn't like being lethargic. I didn't like it was down. It was a downer. I didn't like it so then I started trying to know you weren't going in your dad's closet to get some weed. He had a basketball side. Oh yeah he well he did okay he did he did. He had won by his bed but he also had like a basketball in the freezer. This yeah like big of weed in the freezer and so I'll just opened up the bag and I'd be like with my friends be like oh how much we need today and I would just take it out the bag and so it was easy for me to access it but I didn't like the Downer feeling of it and then I stopped that because I never had addictive personality towards that but though I had an addictive personality So then I started molly and ecstasy and that was cute for like the first couple of times I was like yes. I like someone rub up on me and I was like yes. We are living. Ooh And then as I would have to take three pills to have that same feeling. I was a you're sweaty. You're growth cute and then I got introduced to cocaine and that's what I said you in danger girl. And how old were you when you got introduced twenty five? And who was the bitch because at this point? Let's remind people if you read this book. He is now on the. You're in the press tour. You're in the Club appearances. Best Life as Kerama. Oh for real world yes and you start out on this dirty your sixty three you in between one hundred ninety three and two hundred and ten pounds and you get introduced to cocaine yes. What's at first feeling like

And I was like you know now now I can mike finally do it because my mother will not have to see it every day or like people won't be reminded of it and it here. I don't think she cared either. I think she was more like Mike. Do your thing in like you know I. I would never talk to my mother about sex in the first place so I surely Ain't GonNa talk to her about gays sex as she ain't GonNa ask me about gay sex but we don't talk about you know like we just something we just. Don't talk about. No it's fine. It's totally orderly fine. Yeah there's lots of families have lots of different things like that in them. Yes but I didn't know everybody's fine. "Two eight four eight message and data rates may apply to a couple of calls right shall we. Let's take a call talk to Tom. Hey Tom Hey Tom yes hello. Hey man what's happening. Hey Yo hey. Hey Yeah Okay I was waiting for okay. Great thank you. You Bet a couple of times in the past from the as Bruce Shell Richard Allen knows referral. Good for them. And I'm calling calling for my personal my personal physician. So I'm calling you at I had a question. I'm fifty two and a couple of things one cholesterol but I I was Recommended me they get a shingle vaccine. Gerrad never heard of that. The Terry Bradshaw Patrick Commercial. Bradshaw commercials. Don't listen to actually. My father was talking about it and he I said at my age I should be getting your bid young. You're young really sixty sixty five and really started talking about it's a two-part vaccine Shingo rex. I've had it's pretty miserable vaccine. Hang on don't Russ Terry Bradshaw. Don't ever trust Terry Brad. Brad Shaw cares. Why the conviction so brilliant title right there Terry Terry Slinging Shit? He don't believe in. Okay you know. And it's a you know Terry Zale jams and like tearing you'd never take no Zale. Jam APPS terrier enough fair enough but she goes back excellent. That's a new vaccine. It's a two parter. It's pretty powerful kind of screwed up the weekend Again I've had shingles is a horrible horrible illnesses at painful horrible rash used to have to deal with chronic pain. Syndromes from it. It's an awful thing and you can prevent a complete so you can get it if you want. But you're a little young and What other question? The other question has to do with Mike Foster all And I've been following. Benny Carter rich no grain. They'll sugar who'll for a couple years now and then I happen to crop about twenty pounds doing anything. Nothing else Nice However my cholesterol it'd take up a batch and of course by cardiologists plus stat but I would do it I want to staten your. LDL's not coming under control. The that is clearly important to get that L.. Diablo hundred clearly okay. I'm having a cat scan and the score was zero beautiful. That's awesome. I'm having my follow all up in January. Okay and then there's there's no family history of heart disease. I should do do think you should if you can't get that L.. Deal if your. HDL is you know forty fifty you can't get that out of the LDL B. O.. Blow hundred. It's pretty clear that not only. Are you going to really reduce the risk of heart disease later in life which you can come on later but also cerebrovascular disease and dementia. You don't WanNa that stuff you don't want it all that southern food. Would you want him to worry about your stuff look. I'm not worried about anything I'm just trying to get on. I'm just trying to get on Mesothelioma lawsuit. I'm just jump on that and tried the vaginal mashups issue and they wouldn't let me on now. I use once again. You've got a vagina. This is amazing. Amazing you know what this is my biggest peppy. Every time I see a commercial. And it's you. Oh you should take this medication and then don't take if you're allergic to those medication and it's like how do I know if I'm allergic to that guy. Everything they say. Hey that's a qualifier. At the end of the of the commercial is attorney speak. It's nothing there except to say we edit. We told you we told you nothing real. There's nothing that can change anything. Look I am a thirty thirty two year old gay man. Massive diarrhea is fine with me. I will lose some weight. It'll be ready for Halloween. Like I'm like that. It's not that greasy diarrhea. They may not be so I five. They don't say big that's the tough part. Those commercials kill me. So yeah so I'm going to you're going to help me. Just the way Chelsea gets called that you're GONNA help me out with stuff if I if I don't see things I should see in the world. What crap you're aware? That's the thing I'm try. We just need people to be aware that things aren't the same. Well I think we need new language. Bet 'cause 'cause I think because a lot of white people pogo racism. I don't see I don't see 'cause they're looking for racism. You know writ large car APP store and they don't think about this other thing which is a perspective active. That makes it hard. You have to step outside of themselves to get it. Yeah yeah and that's different but it's also like you know I deal with a lot of people in the Energy Btcu community same same phenomenon because sometimes the Ales and the Jeez. Don't get along the Geez. Look at the team. It's like a whole thing and and for me. There's two do things I always say the Jews and the teas everybody is at each other's throats at some point in life and you know it's very interesting because a lot of times times when we talk about. LGBTQ things and people being proud and loud and coming out of the closet like we're talking about people in La New York. What about the guy in Jackson Mississippi Zippy who still is in that closet door? Just because it's good for for here doesn't mean it's good. It's we have to again. Be Very Careful because for instance out here in the woke areas coming out sort of like. Why would you even do that? It's coming out for heterosexuality sexuality why would you. Why bother? But if you're there could be a whole thing could be dangerous. Yeah it could be life threatening and you know going through that and living through that in knowing in people who are still living in that and it just I get so upset when people talk about it like it's like this other thing we gotta deal with this. This country is how we're all so different different regions now. That really crazy but we need to have that conversation. I know you know. Yeah it needs to happen and I do you love that. Celebrities are just coming out and being proud but I also think there are some people who just jump on the letter train for publicity really their asset Senate re who come on who. I'm just saying who and let me let you know someday for all you celebrities who are jumping on the letter train. We put the queue in there for y'all's asses. The questioning questioning is for. y'All WanNa jump on the train. Don't jump on the L.. Don't even jump on the beach. Say It's all the ones that want to jump on the L. Train. It's all the ones who want to be lesbians. Bisexuals wasn't a mess. But it's not bad is it. No it's it's the women yes men still can't even come out as questioning much less by much less gay. You know what you mean with either and then you're either hiding or not yet if it's a little clearer it's a little clearer but a lot of the young girls NYC you know. I feel bad because they are coming out and they're saying Oh my God Yama Lesbian on Christmas. No Christmas Christmas do what is right on that spectra drug but she but she talks about. It's so cool. I heard around starring. The Dow's she's just doing that she is actually. She has found herself south. Okay good this woman has found exactly who she was she knew she was. She just found the courage to explain it. I think for her. She's found found it. She's found a way to be her without labeling herself and she's always felt that was her thing is flu on that and by the way that's very recurrent that's a very very very like acceptable way to be in. Her promotion appears nature stuff. I'm talking about the market. who come out with a single and I'm not fully straight bitch here we go? Oh here we go you again and I just get upset because people see that and it's like okay. If you guys are GonNa come out now where were you when we were struggling to get prop eight done. Where were you guys? When we're looking to adopt kids Ed's where were you guys when we were off fighting in the street in walking for you know HIV AIDS medications to be affordable and to be readily available dude? I worked breeze. I've got a radio is because I remember you and and and then I go karaoke at stonewall time and place in New York City where the in in Greenwich Village where they Ha. They stood up to the police during during a vice fifty years ago. Yeah and that's It's quite interesting place to stand that. Ground Lynch's version to question. Yeah now is your you have a large gay audience. You know at large by some I heard there's like this new strain of HIV the first one they found in since everything. Here's a new strand. Yes should we know I wouldn't I wouldn't yet not yet. It just means that we know that the virus is very good at changing itself and now it's changing enough that it's like ooh that seems to be a new thing it's doing but I don't know that's GonNa Change treatment or anything else. I put our people's prep going to work the True Vodka A. I've not not heard any evidence that it's not. I think I would know that if there was any worry about that. Yeah now I'll let you know if I hear anything that's kind of. I mean war other phone call. That's because because I'm a big believer in proud. I do think people need to still use Cottam. There's a lot of stuff going around and that's the problem. I know the people aren't using the I know there they wouldn't anyway. You know what I mean I. I'm a big. Don't blame. Prep for that pre exposure prophylaxis HIV. And you know I live in West Hollywood and I went to I went to CVS to pick up. Awesome prescriptions and groceries and stuff and I went up to the pharmacy night gave the lady about condoms and she was like literally like. Wow No one's bought any of those within a very long time and I was like. Wow that's not good. That is crazy. Yeah that's kind of why I've wanted to do a lovely type thing because I feel like people are fairly screwed. Grew up with their sexual behaviors. It's kind of my original intent with lovely. Was it a medical show about the biology of sexuality. The that was my intent HIV and AIDS motivated me are tons of AIDS patients. Did that for about ten years. Lots of AIDS and it was one of the darkest saddest periods people. There's no one left to remember it and it was horrible. How horrible so sad? I can't even tell you Kasur you see some. TV that kind of gets added a little bit. The the do Scott added a bit and it. Just it's just beyond awful and it motivated me to get on. The radios are talking about because no was talking to young people that the time it was considered crazy to talk to young person about a condom. It's so crazy at that. You don't really we've whenever I'm frustrated with Sort of the Boca's Kaz and the current cancel culture like that every once in a while. I think we have really moved forward. Oh Yeah we have really moved forward in a lot of ways and we should take take inventory on that. Did we always so many ways when I came out the closet in two thousand and nine till well here in the south breath. No I was here I had moved to La. By then. I was living. I was comfortable and I honestly didn't come out because I didn't WanNa make my mother and comfortable and and I know it's a common thing like you know. I was happy to live my life and take the torture and here the names because I had been called them all my life. Everyone Kinda Sorta knew but I kinda waited because a lot of times when you grew up in church or in a small community a lot of times they think..

"In two years I lived in South Louisiana for twenty two years. The little town that I grew up in was amazing but there was a railroad track and there was a black side and and whiteside and at one side was better than the other. And you know I went to a private school. Yeah in junior high and high school and my friends parents would drop me off at the track. They wouldn't want to cross. Oh my God because they were afraid because it was always this thing that this neighborhood was terrible. I don't think Guinea one got shot. My neighborhood until I was sixteen when I say that I mean in the sense that everyone thought it was like this at crime infested place but really it wasn't that it just was different. It was different. Housing was different because they didn't put any money into that side of town. You know the roads are bucked because no when again put money into that side of town but there in the south the reality is there was active racism. Not Strong enough There was a good in. It was an attempt to recreate the culture of the nineteenth century. You know in the eyes of these people. Yeah where where you as African American person to be in a certain position relative to them and that was just that yeah and literally killing people to prevent them from literally from going to the ballot box. After the war there was a bunch of African American representatives. Yeah it was looking good and then the Democrats took over in the Congress and it just it just I do. Every from that period is just just a there was a New York Times article last weekend. The best most concise Zeiss little review of that period of history of ever seen. I think I took a picture of it to me. It was a from Harvard Law and I thought Oh my God it is so he got it. Just got it all down. It's such a complicated history. And he just got it down. Oh I don't think I'd throw to wide right thrown away all all this nonsense onset. Oh here it is there. It is the loss caused built Jim Crow. It's called how are you I. I Must Saturn gave it to me. I'll give it to you. This is me three three seven that you don't say the rest of people call them. Ask All our coming to you. Now let me talk about our friends at Purple Purple Mattress. Yes lots of mattresses out there. Do you ever use purple matches matches. We use them actually to really good. They are really good. If you struggling to get a good night's sleep you must try purple like nothing else. They feel different than anything you've ever experienced uses a brand new material with developing actual rocket scientist. It's not like that memory foam. You're used to it's just you can get out of.

"Yeah it is an interesting phenomenon you know human phenomenon cultural phenomenon and in terms of things that should not have been made. Why do you think of that? Yeah I wish there's somebody would do a reality show about people who have left a reality show and the addiction to that I want to do. I've said forever I think I told you about this. We should do after reality. It's like where is the the cast of big brother. One for sure. Remember George Chicken can man left his family left. His world came out. The Hollywood thought he's going to be a star. Nobody knew what reality meant back. Then either no and they all thought they were like big stars and they just rolled onto the next show show left these guys behind. Nothing ever happened. I mean none of them yet but those people are still doing there on the circuit because there are -vivor conventions there's those big brother conventions inventions. So you see those people pop up for five grand here to grand. There are going to see what's going on with. No you have to see it because it's so creepy never heard of these conventions you're talking. Oh that's telling you they're like in Poughkeepsie. And there's one in leg Qassimi's ain't cloud but there is this moment where you know. I've seen it before where someone it gets off of reality show as season two goes by and they try so hard to get back on that reality show because they miss that instant gratification in fame right so when people talk about new you talk to fans people at a time when people talk about. I did that addiction to fame thing for true stories and what I was saying like people are famous. They generally find fame better better. Generally it's losing the fame they freak out about. I would rather not have it right. And so and so the losing it gets people all upset and therefore they're willing going to do things that may be exposed to whatever and shame the and then sometimes there's parts of themselves they don't share with the world and all of a sudden shared and that. Oh my God that's GonNa Cause me to lose my fame and they get preoccupied with losing their position not not that. It's so hard to be famous. What's so hard about it now? Losing it but I also wonder like I mean look I I think of Lindsay Lohan all the time. Yeah and the fact that no I just feel talking about no. Let's talk about it. Let's talk about it to have that much talent and to be that beautiful starwood that so we agree. I mean parent trap genius. Talented can sing was beautiful. Well I think what happened to her is a shame because if you think about we all had that one friend that our parents always said Oh my God this person brings out the worst did you and I cannot believe. You're friends with that person. KOGENATE awesome out. Somebody knows talk about that. person brings out the worst at you. Imagine if that person was your mother you know what I mean. It was like the perfect storm because she got at the fame her mother got you know got sucked into the whole thing and I don't think it was Dina's fault I just think her mom got sucked into the fame as well so there was no one there to guide either of them. Well and and then Michael Whom I love Michael Lohan. It had his issues. Yeah and that would not good for Lindsey. I and I don't think I think Michael would agree with that And then Lindsey got severe addiction and then you throw that in there and then all bets are off for sure. That was that was addict stuff that she was getting involved and I had this image of her like without a limb or something because I just kept thinking. She's going to really hurt herself. Thank God she didn't. I mean the fact that you left this contra probably a great thing for her the best thing yeah actually saw her this summer. Sorry last Summer Emeka knows and she looked great and she looked healthy but he just reminded me. I mean I mean you deal with celebrities all the time. They're surrounded by yes people so the minute they hear no they can find ten other. Yes people around there. That's GonNa want them in that in that cloud in that in that moment so they can be a part of that right and that's the sad part right so the access. They're willing to sacrifice the human being into the access to the celebrity amen. Yeah and she says she has anybody trustworthy around her. Now anybody's you rely on. That's the thing I don't know I don't have have no clue. She has anybody around. It seems like she's doing better and she's moving on and she's like in the next phase of her life but the thought of being that on top being on every magazine being in every movie had having your picture taken did anything for her like she liked that did she think she loved it. Oh did she and I think now that she doesn't have it. I think it's killing her. Oh well killing her. That would be the usual fame story. I mean the world heading. Yeah I'm trying to get out of Bentley and show my vagina but no one wants to take that photo. People were paying for that one. If you have a vagina I think people. We'll pay for that image. I just say that would be kind of intriguing. No but you know what I'm saying. You know like back in the day they were like there's all these like they were doing all these different things. It was different. I E we. It was before social media they. They were the preoccupation before social media. Peres Lindsey Britney that was that was it those and and to some some extent What's her name now? Just completely out of Nicole Richie Cole. Nicole was in Ed Nicole. Got Out of it because Nicole had had that moment with. Dj M. O.. Oh really that would. Coach checked herself out of that real. Quick 'cause I I would. Am Amazon one of my. I really kind of. We weren't friends but he was a deer ear relationship from Al and I would use him all the time to help. GET PEOPLE SOBER yeah. He was extremely effective and he was always being of service to people all the time. They'll he did. I heard he was unbelievable person. Oh yeah but Nicole Richie I mean I know this is sad to say but sometimes losing some yeah. Yeah Oh yeah really turned sugar. o O o yeah especially somebody amps every other addicts. Who saw him go out? There was so stunning to everybody. Yes this was a wonderful recovery. Yeah and all of a sudden he's out and he's Die Omega. There was so many horror subsuming horace to historian. So you got a plane accident. Didn't he got burned. Survived survived was appropriately. Put on pain. Medicine anxiety medicines he had ptsd then it was the middle of the OPIOID epidemic DEMOC. And he had doctors going. Why aren't you taking more these things I'm telling you I'm your doctor? Listen those people trying to brainwash you that you need to get all these literally. I was dealing with that. Take his his lifetime therapist of many years. We she would bring in recovering people. They got him off everything he was doing well and literally doctoral. But what are you doing. You're letting these people brainwash you take. These medicines grew. Tell that to a drug addict. Are you kidding. It's on at that point. He in the last time they did that to him and put him back on on Benzodiazepine and opiates lethal combination. went out on cocaine and that was that my God. It's really scary. Oh then I I. I can't even tell you how horrible that always I was in the M- Jeff Conway's dead because of it. Mike started because of it. People now are kind of understanding. ooh Yeah I Mike Starr called me. We we worked so hard getting him. Sober it was a miracle. He was a really bad drug addict. Remember the mouse genes. Yeah he was doing great and also when Damian Baba work where he goes move into Utah like Mike Police that something something when attic does that. It's like never sums up. He goes. Look I'm GonNa live at Cirque. Lodge is a sober living there. I'm just I gotta get music. Is it going again in my life. I've got abandonment. Live with also guys didn't sound right but okay stay in touch with US calls me. I'm having back pain. I got Mike would ever you do. Don't touch it. Don't tell the doctor don't tell a doctor your back pain. Two weeks later. Dead with the pain medicine. And that's a look. I'm telling you right down. I grew up in the hood when black people had crack issues. It was a problem when white people started dying for OPIOID epidemic. Yeah so that was unconscionable. It was the fact that the medical community separated those two epidemics in that way. I I am ashamed of my profession for them doing so. It's it's not okay. Yeah and by the way there's acknowledgement at least in the medical community. That was not okay. It's pretty fucked. Yeah so we made crack epidemic a criminal problem and the OPIOID epidemic tank. That's that's a crisis that we need to figure right is it is well. You know what it is. It's people are GonNa love this. Dr Drew Week. We're here to be on its white supremacy. It's wise but which really is apartments. Which is white people? Looking at everything through the prism of their whiteness. One hundred and is a problem. You know the high really with were the scales fell from is a bit. Like how much can they really fall from. My eyes. But Reading Frederick Douglas's biography he. He is so clear on this stuff. He's so clear. And he started going after Abraham Lincoln. I don't know go. Yeah he's right. He's right not that I always knew. Abraham Lincoln was racist. Yeah he's also white supremacist. Realize how deep and win. I didn't know and so it. It helped me like come to terms with my own stuff and where I see it out in the world. One of the big replaces was that crack epidemic. Have you seen the Chelsea handler. documentary on Netflix. I have not yet but let me just finish one thing please. Everybody don't get put off with the term white supremacy. I am not talking about skinheads. No I'm talking about like white privilege doesn't quite characterize it. It's it's it's European in exceptionalism or something. It's it's your way. Every white privilege is the best thing. I don't know it's white privilege plus. Yeah okay please go ahead. Ah shows have you seen the Chelsea Handler Gary. Have you seen the Chelsea handler. I've only seen clips of it. I haven't watched it all the way through. You've got to watch it all the way through copy and I don't know if Chelsea handler gets the recognition that she deserves for not only tackling something. That is taboo in her community but sticking with it promoting it and not being afraid for the people to call her out on her own life while trying to learn about it. Oh this was high Chelsea privilege. Whatever it's called I can't Gal oh can you look at what it's called? It's UN- real. I had to watch it twice because it was so good and I couldn't believe how deep she went through it. And how she you really lead people car out. Oh sure about her on my privilege. Acid I got it like are you can't do it to yourself very well alone privilege. It's me Chelsea yes hello privilege. It's me Chaussee unbelievable document. Okay I watch done and done. Yeah I've gotten when the ski you you. I've gotten very interested in reconstruction because of this because I really believe and this is i. It must have affected your FA- your family been here for a long time. My families my family's been here for a minute yeah. He is reconstruction with such catastrophe. I feel like and again. Three is of Frederick Douglass. Who almost thought it was worse than every the the whole reconstruction period was such catastrophe? It's so crazy but as I'm reading a bunch about it right now I'm just I'm just can't get enough because I'm an idiot. You know what I mean. Where did you? Where'd you grow up in southern California? So you didn't know did not know although I lots of patients from Mississippi and there's a big exodus into this area in the early part of the twentieth century. Yeah loads and loads of patients from the South Tricky Mississippi and But never understood. But it's you know living living there you get this sense of like and it's not until you leave it That you realize what you had been living through for the last twenty..

I went up to Canada and saw her and did it with her. Wow did the show with. It was the strangest experience you go. You they do it they record it was a TV show and they recorded in the Toronto Blue Jays like booth. They like broadcasting the game they commandeer their booth and turned the cameras inward word. And you're in the Blue Jays stadium and they bring you up beforehand to meet in like a conference room and it's just these three little old ladies talking about going to cottage edge and the headstones out it was the funniest thing you she's a national treasure. She's the biggest thing to come out of a candidate in next to sinead wing back. I'm telling on you that's how I learned about sex really. My mother never talked to me about anything. My father didn't say this is the birds and the bees used to love line with the hell you know yet yet. Once I got to college once I got to college. I ended up with Love Line into Lila. You can kind of watch us here. He's going to turn your mic Mike around there. We go thank you. Gary saw good Took a lot of coming today. which is weird just Normally don't do that but I am. Surprise is I didn't know your previous history with Kyle Richards and real housewives. I had no idea I just know you from when we've encountered each other I I Beverly Hills Nannies more battle. Lsu last weekend oh dude best birthday gift of my life which birther. I turned thirty thirty three on Saturday. My kids twenty seven on Monday. Amaze- yeah So on Lsu Alabama game actually. Last Saturday I turned thirty. Three and it was a great array game. I was forty six forty one forty six forty one. I was literally rehearsing for the People's choice awards. Oh and watching the game while I was rehearsing harassing were so upset with me so upset with me but I could miss it but yeah I'm from Louisiana and I met this woman named Ali Landry very well. The Ali Landry came into a restaurant that I was working at when I was seventeen years old and was like you need to move to Los Angeles. And here's my phone number and whenever you're ready to move please please. I mean now and then I saw her again a few years later when I was twenty and she said the same thing so when I screwed her life up I was predicted. She was going to marry a Mario Lopez and that she did. uh-huh almost dinner. Whatever happened there sorry I was GonNa work out? No no but she's having now and I'm sure they harbor no ill whatever yeah But she was like you. Let me know when you want to come and I called her when I got here and she took me in for a month and introduced me to cowards. Wow how nice of her crazy. She's a pretty cool person. He's an unbelievable verson and courage or does like. Hey I need an assistant for three remind and I was at great and in three months turned into five years and then five years turned into spinoff show and then I ended up e those Beverly Hills Nannies with spinoff. Yeah and it was nuts. Nuts talk about being on a reality show. It's not for me like producers going. He Kyle just said she's just thinking about firing. You know five years all five years. What do you think let's do? Let's do a mock interview review right. Now let's do a fly. What do they call fly fly bys? What do they call those interviews? They're doing on the flights. Yeah yeah has your horrible. Oh what she said who know reality. TV I'm telling you right now. People think it's so easy and it is not easy at all and watching her. Do that for five seasons right behind her and then going on with her being her friend and you know how confident for five more seasons out of that. I just don't know how they do it. What's hard about it for people that have not been in front of those cameras? First of all. It's not exactly what you think. It is like when you see episode whatever reality show. That's a week filming sometimes even two weeks of filming And what happens. Is You have to go through the drama for five months. You have to talk about the drama in your interviews for two months after that and then once you get over everything with these people at Finale party you have to relive it while he plays on TV and see what other women say about you and get all in your emotions again it bit. There's there's an element that sort of difficult local to pin down where the producers screw with things. Yes because they'll say things like he has not a lot happening this season. If you guys want to get another season you. I just talked to the network network. And they're saying that you're on the ropes so it up not by the way Lisa Carter. Lisa was talk yesterday. She said you're crazy. Roese like that. No no what they do is and this is interesting because I was a reality. TV producer Actually Watch unreal. I love and real. Is that not exactly exactly exactly how it works. There's just one other thing that happens. which is once you tell one woman or one other cast mates something? It's like lighting a fire. Yeah 'cause that person will tell someone else by the time it gets to the actual person that the other person said about the story has become bigger than what it's supposed to go telephone telephone. And then you add in the driveway and again right yet alcohol and the and the producers do also heat it up they they throw they throw it all that so so in Celebrity Rehab. They started that nonsense and I was like get the fuck away from my patients. Do not get near them. Then it got to the point where I was furious. Obvious about it because these are sick people in your screwing with sick people. You can't get but how did you find out. I just SORTA saw. I'd sit in the control room sometimes. See what's going on with people and I'd see the producers talk them like get a dive into the room like get out of here then it got to the point where I I would say. Okay I'll we can do the season. Nobody speaks to the patients under any circumstances. Not One word blaby and me you can ask asked me five questions. How is the patient? Doing the discharge plan. How much going to cost with the family therapy? What's your plan? That's it one more thing I'm walking. I'm walking off has. Has it ever been someone who they really wanted you to get and the person was willing to deliver you. Thought they weren't in the frame of mind to go into. Oh Yeah but more times is there were people that would have made a great candidate for treatment and they and the the the psychological screening. You must know this. The screening instruments they use to determine termine if somebody's okay to be on a ratio are worthless. I mean worth less horrible. Essentially are you actively psychotic and actively suicidal title. That's about all they ask now drug addicts when they're thinking about treatment are often suicidal so there was a lot of suicidal people around out there. I'm like per gathering here. She'd be perfect. It was like I decide who they didn't want the liability. I decide WHO's appropriate for the program. Not You idiots with your stupid screening reading programs I'll tell you if there's and then they tend to be extremely difficult patients. That never should have been. Yeah because they're screening instruments. Were terrible terrible terrible. I was very upset about that. Unfortunately there there's you know there's footage of me yelling at the camera as like using it like a walkie talkie like I can't Hannah. I can't believe you gave me this. This is ridiculous and then this other one you wouldn't give me come on. That should have been in your slasher for your birthday. Where was that footer? No unfortunately I don't talking to do that anymore. Would you ever resurrect that. Show sure I talked to somebody who is about it. I don't know why you guys hadn't done. It was so because break. It's expensive because celebrities all get paid. Yeah and they have to get after care and that's expensive and but I do it again. Millisecond Damn and we got plenty of people. I'm thinking that would be great Do you ever watch intervention like those guys love those guys I didn't there were so many things that I guess I learned a lot from TV because my family didn't talk about anything. We swept everything under the rug. It's like a family curse Louisiana Black Fan most African American aircon families. They they talk about it at the church. Yeah get and we're GONNA end what happens in our house as in our house and once we go to Sunday we're going to pray trade away. We're not going to talk about it again. Right and identifying things that I saw in friends and family members from on that show Kinda Sorta gave me the tools to figure out how to respond and how to really work through those thoughts. What's about those people so it's crazy how reality TV kind of really? I know people say it's trash but at the same time so much so the therapeutic rally show Oh some of them are opportunities to learn things some of them you get kind of a skewed view of stuff. You don't really cause treatment is not that interesting. Yeah the the drama that goes on amongst in between people and you know the struggles and can can make people make better television right like one of the criticisms. We used to get celebrity worth treatments like yeah they did put that on TV. You're watching thirty minutes of television and it's not. The treatment is boring. It takes it's slow. It's quiet it's it's you know Do another person and then talking quietly about their experiences. It's not reality television. What's the one reality show? You wish would have never been made from a a psychological standpoint in terms of having done harm. Let's tease that. Okay Okay we're GONNA tease at my talk to you for a second about blink..

"Thank you for listening to this podcast one production available on Apple podcasts and podcast one the rebel that was inside. You didn't go away rebels never do that. Spirit still lives alongside a more sophisticated you and a straight up old fashioned you. They're all in there. They're all you and BB&T. We're looking out for every one of you be. All we see is you member. FDIC talk during the from Banner Foam Rules to Vegas and everywhere in between it's time to party scene. Shake this is and then again and now here's your host Sheena guys. We're back in studio podcast one. I have two people whose jobs I want to take one day or just join sitting across across from me Justin Silvester how are you. I'm good. You could come on daily been home. I would love that that is literally a dream job of mine. I've been putting it out. All in the atmosphere since college got my degree in broadcast journalism so doing this as part of it but I want to turn this into more of an on camera I wouldn't you think nick may seventh. You know what you premier in January. Why don't you do we. I heard January February two but we don't know anything nothing official until like a few weeks before I will let come January. You can sit in that third. Seat the whole show and comments on those okay. I would love uh-huh oh your power. Oh Wow and the other voice here's Miss Tanya Rod how are you. I'm good. Thanks for having me. Thanks for being I'm here. Yes okay so I've known Justin. I mean how long the pilot twelve years my God since you guys I shot the for it was before housewives I matt you was before housewives that we met. I was friends with Chris and less. Yoni okay is that okay and she is working sir. Yes that's how I knew her and then she was the one was shown Beverly Hills. Yes okay so that's how we met but then we reconnected because I was working for Kyle Win. Vanda pump rule started and and you guys started the show at Kyle's house. Basically that's right romp around. La Together all the time to Sir yes bardy the like back in the day like this is like pre Andrew pump rolls when I just like Jimmy worked their privacy huge. We the funny part about it is like if you put all the la reality shows like on the table yeah all kinds of known each other. Oh totally totally time yeah feel so like I'm only no new for a few months. It's crazy in the press for years. I mean I was on the hills like season five back in the day so it's like I've known them for so long and stayed in touch with a lot of them that I I can help on the hill on my job and I love our show but it's like it would be fun to be able to do more than one show crossover unknown I mean it is the same production company. Really it is evolution. Aren't they getting rid of some of the cast members. Who are they telling me we'll. Have you heard Oh. It's all hearsay. Oh Yeah I just read an article that was like summer and summer out but it didn't give names in. Let's say one had to be out. Who would you take out. I will take your warden could she is. I like Michel. Barton has a life outside another show and she is a newest newcomer. That like is like the least involved in everything like you can't lose. Brandon Lee now acuity. He's killing him but the thing with me is I feel like she used to have a big life out of the show but now she doesn't it seems like you know she's trying to get that bag ugh like she's trying to get back into acting. She's disconnected from her family so I feel like I don't know. Maybe she doesn't have a ton of I feel bad saying that but it's not just what we've seen on the show. I only go based off is shown but I know don't judge someone based on an edit on reality yeah. I've always loved her since the overseas so it is cool to see her on TV again. It was kind of weird because she ran on the hills. It's not Laguna Beach. There's no oc tie it was just like an Michel Barton friends everybody Chamartin but I will say this. I think that Michel Bardin being on the hills kind of open. Everyone's eyes to not believe everything you read in the media. If you read everything in the media you thought you should barden was destitute with no teeth like running around like living in the U haul wasn't the truth. Thank Doc Michel Barton on camera seeing that she has her own line that she is a smart young lady that she still beautiful and still is a presence. I feel like that's going to give me your Barton's second run Hollywood. I hope so I always love to see a good comeback. What your mind? It's time on the hills is better than Lindsay. Lohan time on the show that was already canceled Fan. I was a fan of my friend Kayla on the show. What was that show even call inappropriate Greece Hands Beach Club. I'm trying to be vulnerable. Have a soft spot for her. Though I see nothing I've never met her. I've been a fan of hers since I was a child all day but when that show got casted and they started shooting they were just shitting on us and talking about our show and I'm like you guys are literally copying. The formula. Lindsay Lindsay Lohan is literally made it clear that she wants to be like a Lisa Vander bump. It's not like an insult. It's a compliment like flattery or imitations this form of flattery but they just I saw some interviews that some of the cast dead and the way Lindsay treated my friend Kayla who is one of my dearest and closest friends and I just I don't know kind of made me listen respect for her like hey looking via shit. I mean she definitely stir the pot so I I get it but I've heard Kayla's entire story and unlike yeah it's crazy how like the cast kinda like has his mutiny moment against the boss at some point you guys Kinda. SORTA had that last year with Lisa where it was a little lack. You heard her side Stasi. Kinda decide you guys all Kinda. SORTA started getting a little real about Lisa last year but at the end of the day Lisa Vendor pump is always right and everyone needs to know that how one woman do not try and argue with the guys she's always right and even when there's this one thing about her that she's done this summer and I'm like I love Lisa. I love you like a second mother but it drives me crazy when she tells me how I feel that eventually I'm just like Yep. You're right sure yeah the algae winning it's GonNa be she's right so I just like you know what yeah actually I do. Feel a little bit that way and then I myself itself that I feel that way yeah. It's just easier. I had the most awkward running with her the other day what happened because I've known her for eleven years and she's always been very very nice to me and we have never had an issue even when she and Kyle we're having issues in the past. She's never ever been weird to me or anything. It was always very nice. I always stayed out of it because at the end of the day that's not my life. Kyle is my best friend but she's a big girl. She can handle her own things but I guess she was upset about about some of the things that I did the goodbye Kyle thing which I thought was really buddy like Kris Jenner did it kyle dated. A Lot. Lease rent got involved in it like it was a funny moment because if anyone knows Lisa Vanna pump will make a joke imitate anyone in the world. She's done it with every cast member on the show but when it came to her I think she was a little upset about it. So when I pass by her like a week or two weeks ago coming out of pump I went to give her a hug and tell our high and she was like aac not today like no. I was like ooh girl. I get it like this is a fresh fight in your life. I understand it but I've never ever really didn't expect her to be Super War but even expect her to be as cold as she was. I mean you didn't do anything so well. It's just I guess guilty association up though I knew that I think the next time like she and I run into each other. Maybe it might be better and he's been having a bad day with her staffer the kitchen yeah you never know. I hope Yeah Oh live around the corner. `sometimes can love that lost over there too. God Damn it yeah. I'm like so not in the reality like when you talking about I'm like I'm so not in the world. I'm not in it not not watch any reality yeah. Of course I was watching in it yeah right I couldn't it takes a strong person to be on reality. TV It also takes someone who and correct me. If I'm wrong you have to have a sense of self because not only are your cast members trying to tear your ass apart. Then the world comes uh-huh interior `support six months later have to yourself. Oh told her for you walk in and you also have to be willing to surrender yourself to the fact that this is apart entertainment and you have to sort of bring it yeah not WANNA call kristen out every other day or have a hard conversation names but for reality TV. You have to have that conversation and that's the thing we're with my. I'm going to say in air quotes character on the show. It's like you see a version of me. You don't see all of me in an interesting knows me like I. I really am a lot cooler emerson then I seem on the show and it's like the people closest to me know that but I'm like you know what we're we're building storylines. We're building a television show for entertainment and of me being the annoying thirsty looking wannabe popstar is entertaining television than whatever I still have a job job so it is what it is but it took me many many seasons he kind of except that I can kind of be the joke of the show sometimes but I'm like you know what if I'm I'm entertaining people. I'm doing my job and whatever way that may be so um. How long did it take you to get there because seven years take because I've watched some reunions like this. She might not understand what's happening right now like do not set on that couch. You cannot handle this right now but you finally got it. Yeah Yeah I mean I think being in the relationship with shave for so long I started the show with him and so I was very comfortable just in not not sense but the second thought relationship ended and I was kind of on my own for a few but then there was rub it just it changed the way I looked at things and then seeing the show back dot season. I was living in Vegas. I was headlining a show out there. I literally had delete social media from my phone completely for six months because I was in such a bad head. Space just not only like do you see what the world says about you on social media but I'm also seeing things that my now ex boyfriend said about me on the show things things that people who I think are my best friends are saying about me and interviews and it was just like it was hard on Mike going on stage every night and I'm just like I'm not in the best head space every little break that we hadn't where I'm doing costume change of my checking twitter and I was like this.

"I just want to tell you. I got my ADT after episode two of the John is you really, I'm not even joking. My ring. I was like, no, no, I'm done with this ring. I eat a full on system because my ass would go man like John. Yeah. I would be the one you're susceptible to that sort of charm. Oh, like, if I'm meet you. And I don't think that I have to sleep with one eye open. Then you're not for me. Like, I'm like a little crazy. Like, I get it again, Deborah when I met her. I was like I get you a little crazy like a little mysterious. Why do you like that? Because it's nice to have like a Ryan Phillippe pay in cruel intentions, the one that might ruin your life. But we'll give you the best sex ever. You know what I mean? You know, I don't want that what I'm the opposite. I want like the nice nerdy guy. That likes sells books in the bow. You want boring. Tim tebow? I heard I heard. I want to give a little background because when when I did the Globes I was talking about at our last podcast for e I got to do it with Justin Sylvester, and I had so much fun. So when I heard that you were coming into guest co host. I was like, oh, this is gonna be really fun because we have really good like chemistry, and it was so nice that you replace Becker with a big black guy. So great, but I'm just gonna feel bekker's Luebbe fans. Wait, tell me about meeting. Deborah. Speaking of dirtyjohn spent. So I listened to the podcast twice. I was obsessed with it. I couldn't believe I had read it in the paper, people dot com had did his whole thing on it. A few years back the dateline special. I was nugget. Okay. Baby steps. So I'm at E, and I have a an interview scheduled with the celebrity and everyone had been fighting over the celebrity that was coming in. But I had like finesse my way into getting it. But at the same time, I saw these two blonde women coming in and out of the corner of my eye. I was like oh my God. That's a mother and a daughter from dirty, John and my boss. The actress is the real real daughter. But this really happened to in Orange County yet from dirtyjohn. Yeah. So my boss was like, oh, yeah. We have a producer on that. We're just going to do this quick interview. I'm mike. I'm so sorry. You are going to have to find somebody else for this Alice actress because I need to talk to Deborah in Tehran. Newell. And she was like, I don't understand. I'm like, I'm really sorry. But I have got to do this. I literally ran in that room, this twenty minute interview turned into to our talk session. And this one part interviews, but the two minute segment turned into four parts on e news slow. Yeah. I mean, the thing I think that's so jarring. And I think why it struck a chord of people's because it's it's a true story. So it's a TV show on Bravo. But it's like legit happened to this woman. Oh my God. This is really happening. But to hear the story and talk to not only the second wife, Deborah Newell. But his first wife was also in the interview. And I always wanted to know like if you date somebody crazy, and then, you know, I'm dating somebody crazy 'cause you. You see it on Instagram and on social media..
