"Somebody who completely <Speech_Male> gets it, <Speech_Male> who gives of himself constantly <Speech_Male> and <Speech_Male> makes as big <Silence> of an impact <Speech_Male> off the field <Speech_Male> as he does on <Speech_Male> the field Justin Simmons <Speech_Male> as impressive <Speech_Male> a player <Speech_Male> as I <Speech_Male> have encountered <Speech_Male> in my 30 plus <Silence> years <Speech_Male> covering <Speech_Male> the National Football <Speech_Male> League. And now to look ahead <Speech_Male> to week 7, <Speech_Male> it's reunion week. <Speech_Male> We have <Speech_Male> Jared Goff <Speech_Male> who is <Speech_Male> own coach. <Speech_Male> <SpeakerChange> Question, <Speech_Male> this <Speech_Male> past week publicly, <Speech_Male> going <Speech_Male> back to play <Speech_Male> against his former coach <Speech_Male> LA <Speech_Male> who essentially <Speech_Male> cast him off to <Silence> Detroit and wrote <Speech_Male> him off. <Speech_Male> Tough week to be Jared <Speech_Male> Goff with a <Speech_Male> lot to prove <Speech_Male> going up against <Speech_Male> the LA rams. And <Speech_Male> Matthew Stafford gets to <Speech_Male> go up against his <Speech_Male> former franchise, <Speech_Male> though, I don't think he <Speech_Male> feels the same way as <Speech_Male> Jared Goff does, <Speech_Male> mean that they <Speech_Male> accommodated his <Speech_Male> request to be traded <Speech_Male> and sent him to <Speech_Male> LA where I don't <Speech_Male> think Matthew Stafford <Speech_Male> could be any <Speech_Male> happier than <Speech_Male> he is right now <Speech_Male> working with Sean <Speech_Male> mcvay and making <Speech_Male> the rams <Speech_Male> one of the most formidable <Speech_Male> teams in <Speech_Male> the NFL. We also <Speech_Male> get a reunion this week <Speech_Male> with <Speech_Male> JJ watt <Speech_Male> and Deandre Hopkins <Speech_Male> going <Speech_Male> up against <Speech_Male> their former <Speech_Male> team, the Houston <Speech_Male> Texans. <Speech_Male> And if we're going <Speech_Male> to give them truth <Speech_Male> serum, <Speech_Male> I would say <Speech_Male> that they probably feel <Speech_Male> a little bit more <Speech_Male> the way Jared <Speech_Male> Goff feels about <Speech_Male> the rams <Speech_Male> that Matthew Stafford <Speech_Male> does about <Speech_Male> the Detroit <Silence> Lions. Think <Speech_Male> that <Speech_Male> both men wanted <Speech_Male> out of the Texans <Silence> franchise in the <Speech_Male> worst way. <Speech_Male> Both are happy <Speech_Male> and relieved <Speech_Male> not to be <Speech_Male> there any longer. <Speech_Male> And while both <Speech_Male> made <Speech_Male> an impact in the Houston <Speech_Male> community, JJ <Speech_Male> watt did tremendous things <Speech_Male> Deandre Hopkins also, <Speech_Male> I think <Speech_Male> both feel <Speech_Male> reborn and renewed <Speech_Male> on an <Speech_Male> unbeaten Cardinals <Speech_Male> team as they get to <Speech_Male> go up against <Speech_Male> their former <Speech_Male> Houston Texans <Speech_Male> team <Speech_Male> in reunion <Speech_Male> week and what should <Speech_Male> be a tremendous matchup. <Speech_Male> Also, David Johnson, <Speech_Male> I guess, <Speech_Male> he gets to go up against <Speech_Male> his former <Speech_Male> team, the Cardinals team <Speech_Male> that traded him <Speech_Male> for Deandre Hopkins. <Speech_Male>

"Felt overwhelmed, you know, with like emotion because of, you know, they're sitting here telling me about how their son saved lives even in his moment of need. And, you know, I'm just like, and they kept telling me overwhelmed because they keep telling me thank you. Thank you for, you know, if I had to get to the game, the game was great. You know, I'm getting pointers from the family about what I did good, what I did wrong and what Justin would be telling me I need to work on. And, you know, in that same conversation in that same flow, they're telling me about more about Justin and the family are in the individuals that, you know, that he's safe and he was able to help. And like I said, I'm overwhelmed with emotion because there's so much gratitude on there and I'm like, like, no. Like, what? Thank you. Thank you for raising, you know? The type of man that you did and look at the lives that are being touched and, you know, how special their story is. And that was like the overwhelming, you know, emotional side of things right there and having that conversation. And yeah, hearing those stories, or at least a few of them was unbelievable. Last night I was leaving LA and I'm driving to the airport and I'm on the phone with a colleague from work. And he said, what are you going to done before? I said I'm going to interview Justin Simmons. Very unique story. He flew in the family of somebody named Justin Simmons who lost his life who was an organ donor who they had an honor walk for. This guy saved three lives. I tell him the whole story. I pull up to the curb at LAX. The Uber driver gets out, comes to my side. And says, I hope you don't mind. I was eavesdropping in on your conversation. And I couldn't help but hear it. And I want you to know I received a kidney and liver transplant and I.

"But I feel like this is a sign and that's when I was saying in my head, I was thinking the same thing. And wanted to be respectful and, you know, if the family, you know, obviously, was, you know, still grieving and like I said, I just wanted to I wanted to do something special without overstepping and I felt like that would have been great if Scott had asked rather than myself and I'm just thankful that it all worked out. But you could have sent them a signed Jersey, signed football, autographs. You flew 8 family members from three different states into Colorado and looked after them before you play your home opener. How come? Yeah. Justin. In his story in the video, it was really the video. You know, that honor Walkman and right before he got to the elevator. His family just all surrounded him and how important it was, you know, for his family, obviously to be there. And just hearing a little bit about, you know, the type of person that he was before I even met their family. I said, whoever wants to come to that game, whatever it looks like, we'll figure it out. But I want them to be there. Let's go to the day of the game. You fly the family and what do you remember about that day and what went into it? Yeah. I remember it, you know, I remember the night before asking, you know, Scott, you know, my financial adviser, and then asking Marcus, who is my foundation, my foundation manager. Asking them, hey, is everything good, you know? I want to make sure the family got in okay, you know, no one missed, and all things are good, you know, focus on the game. You have plenty of time to talk to them after. And I said, okay, cool. And, you know, typical Sunday, you know, my normal routine go to the stadium. You know, getting ready for the game and Patrick and Jordan with our PR team are telling me, hey man, you know, just find one of us on the field if you want. And we'll be standing next to some of the family members. And I can remember, you know, I don't think I was trying to rush through a warmup, you know, fast enough and once I had a little bit of a break and ran over to the sideline and I just, you know, I took my helmet off and I just wanted to introduce myself because at that point I hadn't talked to them. I haven't met them. And I just wanted to thank them so much for coming out and said I couldn't imagine how hard this is, you know, to be in an environment where, you know, your son loved the game, probably talked football with you all the time. And, you know, they shared with me after at the hotel that he loved football so much he did fantasy even for people he was up against up against his mom that week and mom, you gotta drop this guy. You know, he's hurt, not doing that well. You gotta bring in this guy. And, you know, I was just telling him.

"And I get a call from my financial adviser and you know, he tells me he goes, hey, you're not gonna believe this, but there's a gentleman named Justin Simmons who just passed away. I said, you know, making sure he didn't, you know, break up, you know, connection could be bad sometimes. I said, Justin Simmons, like my name, he said, yeah. And he explained to me how he has keyword searches on, you know, Google and any time the name Justin Simmons pops up, you know, he gets, he gets, you know, a ring or something on his phone. And he found an article that said, Justin Simmons, you know, passes away and it dot, dot dot. And so he's freaking out, opens the message. And justice Simmons passes away at the age of 32, and then quickly realizes it wasn't me. But he said, you know, felt like God put it on his heart to share that. And I'm so thankful he did because we had talked about it. And we looked into it a little bit more and, you know, Justin was an organ donor and it's a very unfortunate, you know how he passed, but loved the game of football. And we just felt like, man, this is, if this isn't a clear cut sign, you know, we don't know what is..

"And even buffalo got beaten at home against the Pittsburgh Steelers. And now, since then, Dallas has reeled off 5 straight wins and looks like as good a team as there is in football. Green Bay is reeled off 5 straight wins and looks like as good a team as there is as there is in football. The ravens have reeled off 5 straight wins. And look like as good a team as there is in football. And buffalo lost Monday night to Derrick Henry, the man among boys, but still looks like it's going to be right there at the end and is as good as any team in the AFC and maybe in football. And so everybody got all worked up over a week one. All lathered up. And people are still getting lathered up right now about certain losses. But the bottom line is good teams usually rise up and good quarterbacks, dak Prescott Aaron Rodgers, Lamar Jackson, Josh Allen, usually make sure that their teams are going to remain competitive and relevant all season long, nothing has changed. So if your team loses this week, don't panic, there's still time. And if we go back to week one, there's a great lesson in there that what happens in week one is not necessarily a look as to what's going to happen for the remainder of the season. And now back to the story of Justin Simmons. And before I play it, I just want to point that one other thing. When I was flying to Denver, from Los Angeles and Monday Night Football game to sit down with Justin Simmons, I was relaying the extent and details of the story to a colleague at ESPN. As I was driving to the airport in an Uber. And when we pulled up to the curb at the airport in LA, the Uber driver got out and started walking toward me. And he said to me, sorry, I couldn't help listening in on your conversation. I was eavesdropping. And I just wanted you to know that I would not be here today if it weren't for somebody who donated their organs. Somebody donated a liver and a kidney to.

"Welcome back to another episode of the Adam Schefter podcast. In today's episode, we are going to play the entire interview that I conducted in Denver a couple of weeks back with the Broncos Pro Bowl safety Justin Simmons. That we used for a story that ran on Sunday NFL countdown this past week, a very unique story in which the Bronco safety Justin Simmons learned about the death of another 32 year old Justin Simmons who wound up donating his organs to help save three lives. And the reason that I wanted to play the full interview is because the story was so unique and not all of Justin Simmons words came through in the 7 plus minute piece that ran on Sunday NFL countdown. And Justin Simmons is one of the most impressive players in men that I've come across in my 30 plus years covering the NFL. Thoughtful, generous, philanthropic, giving an incredible individual. And when I flew to Denver to sit down with him, I had spent 15 plus years covering the Broncos team. And as I sat in a practice facility with him and listened to his message and his words and what he wishes for in our society today, I was thinking as to who he compared to, what great men who I covered on the Broncos did he remind me of. And honestly, he was as impressive in that hour that I spent with him that day in Denver, as anybody that I'd ever come across in the Broncos locker room. This guy was incredible. And as he delivered his words as to why he flew in this family. To honor them before the Broncos home opener, I said, I want everybody to hear the message from Justin Simmons himself. So anybody who hasn't seen the story, it is on my Instagram account, Adam Schefter. It is on my Twitter handle, Adam Schefter. You can go watch the story before you listen to the interview, or you can listen to the interview, then watch the story. If you haven't seen it already, but Justin Simmons words were so meaningful that I felt that they deserved their own platform, which is why we're going to play the entire interview with him today. So people can hear the backstory that led to the actual story that ran on Sunday NFL countdown from a man who should have a platform and is going to do incredible things. Not only during his football career, but after his football career..
Carolina Panthers, OT Taylor Moton Reach Four-Year, $72M Extension
"Taylor moton. The panthers offensive tackle agreed to four year. Seventy two million dollar contract that included forty three million dollars at sony. And so he becomes. We believe the only franchise tag player to get a deal done before. Today's deadline now. Keeping months and other franchise deals did go on alert this season. The giants gave leonard williams of big extension. The broncos gave justin simmons of big extension but on the last day the franchise players can sign long-term extensions. This season taylor. Moton appears to be the only one that got a deal on matt. Rhule's of big taylor moton fan and it was evident in the type of deal that they gave him today. A big deal for young offensive

"The breaking news music. And who better to break some news than zak. Stevens of dvr broncos zach. Justin simmons were was. Sounds like we're getting the franchise tag thrown on. mr simmons. is that right. Yes that is what's happening brady for a second straight year. Justin simmons is gonna get the franchise tag which means eight twenty percent raise from last year for justin's of that tag is gonna cost the broncos thirteen point seven million dollars this year making just in the sixth highest paid safety but brady. This is just a placeholder. right now. the broncos more so than last year are very motivated to get a long term deal don and so they hope that does not play on the franchise tack this year and that he gets a long term deal before that july fifteenth deadline. Okay so you're getting that sense that both sides are good with each other. This is just a way to make sure. Hey we're you're not going anywhere. We'll get something done but this isn't like it doesn't feel quite like last year i worked at franchise tag depends on how they get it but a lot of times players really hate that but in your in your mind from what you're hearing both sides good with each other. This is just a means to an end. We're going to get justin locked up with something. Yep exactly one hundred percent. And that's what i was hearing this off season and then george peyton made that very clear yesterday. When we talked to him he was asked about justin simmons. Music justin is one of our core. Guys are goal since i got here is to sign him to a long-term term deal we have had discussions with his agent. I don't know if we'll get a long term deal done or not but that's the goal. He's the type of guy we want to extend. And here's here's the thing that goes on top of that brady. If it's not like the broncos and justin simmons should be too far off from a long-term deal last year. They were far off on a long term deal last year. The tackle may cost them. Eleven million dollars where the market for for justin for a top paid safety was fourteen or fifteen year so there was a significant gap there now but by paying him. Thirteen point seven million dollars this year. Under the franchise tag. They're only a million away from resetting the market by making justin the highest paid safety. If that's what they have to do in order to get him in now if they don't have to make him the highest paid safety than the really really close to that number. But if you want. Justine simmons to the tune of thirteen. Seven you probably want him for the tune of you. Know fourteen seven five. What would make him the highest safety and the league and that would get a deal done now. Brady what i warned against is the broncos just dragging this out all the way up until the july fifteenth deadline. Because what could happen is you could see some other. Safeties continued to reset the market and dr price up to fifteen million a year. Fifteen and a half to sixteen million a year. There's some good young safeties out there that could do that. And then justice price tag is only going to go up from there. Zac so tell me then why. Why is this. Why is this necessary. Then if we're talking. I mean what a million dollars is that where justin would be happy. If that's what we're talking here then. Why put the tag on them at this point with everything you just said. It seems a little risky and to lose a guy or even upset a guy over a million and then to see four five six other safeties. Get two three four to me. It seems a little bit too risky at this point in time. Right and so. The broncos had to apply the franchise tag by this coming tuesday or they were going to make justin simmons an unrestricted free agent. So this is more of a formality. and the the two sides. Like i said they close but how. How long is that going to take and brady. I agree with you. I would not drag this out until july. I would get this deal done in the next couple of months now. I guess there's no rush now because you know he's not going to hit the open market now But it's something that you don't wanna mess with. Justin simonds like you said if you like him to the tune of thirteen seven. You've got to like him to the tune of fourteen seven right and and so to me. That's why i think this deal won't go up to the july fifteen deadline which other deal pretty much. The john elway has done in the past with franchise tag guys has gone up to that deadline. Interesting so okay you got. You got justin simmons. Yes i agree we gotta we gotta hurry this along still but you got him locked up at least for the year. That solves one of the riddles. And there's more to it on that. George peyton guys heard from him yesterday. Talking a lot. well justin. Simmons was one of those guys. Von miller drew lock. What were your takeaways from. George payton when it came to drew lock When it came to drew lock I got a very similar feeling from him about what i thought. The broncos thought about drew. Lock him what i thought. The broncos thought about drew lock and everything that i heard was well. They were looking at other. Quarterbacks brady they had They had interest significant interest in matthew stafford. And that right. There raises a big red flag. About what they felt about drew. And that's the feeling i got yesterday. Brady as you know. We heard the same things about. He's very talented He has all the tools that those are some things that That george paid said about him yesterday. That he's confident In drew but they're going to bring in competition shawn watson is on the table. When asked about the sean specifically yesterday payton said well. I can't comment on that. Because he's under contract with another team but then right after that he followed up with. We're going to be aggressive and we're going to be in on every deal. He said that brady huge smile on his face. One that he couldn't hold backs to me tells me they are absolutely going to be interested in shawn watson as they should as most teams in the nfl should be. And then when asked about drafting a quarterback the first round he said yeah it every every Position is on the table in the first round so not ruling that out either. It's clear to me that they will be looking for a significant upgrade at quarterback this offseason now whether they can pull that off or not Will depend on if drew lock as a starting quarterback but to me it does not seem like they have full confidence in grew while even listening to vic fangio's comments i feel like he's certain to become a head coach more far as both sides. He's like yeah. We can get better but you know where we were always gonna look elsewhere to. I felt like justice simmons they. They've played that thing pretty well as far as the pr side goes. Yeah you're you're one hundred percent right. Brady they want everyone back but seemingly without even saying at the right price you're one hundred percent right And they really get their cap. They one afraid to say it about justin. Just how he was going to be back no matter what and now we know that for sure today but everyone else. Yeah we want von back yeah. Shelby harris is a priority and free eight. We're going to tender phillip lindsay. Tim patrick alexander johnson. Okay well what. What tenders are you going to put on those three guys. Oh we'll not sure yet. Okay well that depends on the that shows you. They're going to have them back or not. So of course they want all of these guys back. But it's pretty clear to me that it's not going to be. Yeah we want von back With any question. We're picking up the option. We want shelby back. We're going to make him a high pay defensive lineman so there's still a lot of work to be done and after franchise tacking justin simmons brady. The broncos have roughly thirty million dollars in cap space. All of these guys that that they said they wanted to keep. But then you're going to have no money on the open market to bring in any free agent. So that's why i expect some other deals to happen whether it's extensions in pay cuts for some of the guys that they wanna bring back or whether it's just flat out saying goodbye to some of these guys and now one guy that's really highlighted for for me in the next week is kareem jackson. The broncos have that contract options to either pick up or decline with korean. And you're paying. Justin simmons a lot of money this year. And you're probably going to be paying him a lot of money in the future. I think that they're going to try to work. Something out with kareem whether it's a pay cut which. I don't find very possible because of just how welcome as plate or whether it's more of restructure in an extension. They have one week to make that decision.
Best Positions for the Cowboy's Free Agents in 2021 Season Draft
"Let's talk Cowboys on today's episode. I was talking about free agency. And and this is now the time of year to be talking for you to see if we're not talking about Dak Prescott and let me ask you if you could only because it's the Cowboys here and we're not going to get greedy. If you could only sign one position in free agency. What position would that be? Before so we're assuming that co-signed here or do I have to yes. Yes. Okay. So if I'm if I'm kind of like sweeping generalities one position, it's probably a cornerback. That's that's where I'm going. And I think that's where there's the the largest amount of options especially with the fact that both Judo and Jordan Lewis are departing and free agency. I think that's where the most shallow at the moment. I don't think there's like a safety that that makes you know, it makes me want to make a bagel. You know what I mean right now, like there's not that guy in this year's free-agency. So I'd probably go corner. What's yours free safety because there is that Gap there's lots of those guys. There's good depth of pool at free safety here with I mean Marcus May and John Johnson Marcus Williams, I mean Justin Simmons is my guy but I don't sure first of all he's going to he's going to make money and second of all he's probably not going to leave the Broncos, but I think there's four or five guys right now. 24 to 27 years old high high level free safeties that are probably gonna hit the market and that's that's without. You know, some of these other guys have the market inevitably because of Captain D's because the Caps going down but I'm not Corner would be second for me. I just think if there's one position to splurge and it's free safety cuz I like Trevon Diggs. I liked the Cowboys going heavy draft capital a first round pick in the corner position. So I think you can invest in in corner line back or defensive line offensive line in in the draft one position. I'm prioritizing it for you to be fifty. But I also like I wouldn't be mad if it was Corner either. Yeah.
Fangio's patience with Lock pays off in big win for Broncos
"Heavy victory monday broncos country. It's always happy when it's victory monday. The broncos taking care of business against the miami dolphins yesterday was just what the doctor ordered. Twenty two thirteen was called a complete team win by so many people starting with vic fangio and then working through the organization all of the players calling a team win. We'll hear from vic fangio here coming up whilst from a happy and relieved drew lock but the broncos dominate on defense six sacks the interception for justin simmons late in the game to seal the win ryan fitzpatrick in and relief at two of who had been knocked out and it was a bunch of people getting in on the act in terms of taxes. John williams with me read. It was bradley job. It was draymond jones. It was demarcus walker. They were all they were all in the mix so it was good to see a complete team effort yesterday. Special teams really. Good they neutralized yukimi grant the stud returner for miami and it kind of relations. You what you thought this team could be. I guess maybe reminds. Isn't the right word but indicate shows you what this team can be when everything comes together. I know that can be a big. If but coming off the effort against the raiders to come back home a team that six and three that had won five in a row to buy low playing great as a rookie and to completely baffle him. Stifle their offense. Just thirteen points are lone touchdown coming early on a really nice catch by devante parker but just a great great effort. And you're on the ground for one hundred eighty nine yards you. Get eighty four for melvin gordon. Plus two scores. Yes the fumbles. Concerning phillip lindsay make plays eighty two yards on sixteen carries. Actually were tied both at fifteen carries for eighty four yards until lindsey was dropped for a two yard loss late in the game and and that ended up being the the difference after the interception

"And final hour of the show today. Good afternoon. Think on the rocks, liquor or beer the week. I love this beer Colefax. Give it a ten out of ten. Horses Dragon Brewing and Fort. Collins fire captain, Irish Red Ale a love the Irish Red Ale. Oh. Love it absolutely, there's never a bad time to have one of those in my my opinion. I mean they're great on on a warm day. They're great. You know even kind of like a cool day middle middle of the road type day matter. Yeah, fire, Captain Irish, writer you get that discount price at on the rocks liquor delicious beer beer. Spear love the ready. What's your favorite style of beer? Yeah not necessarily juice yet based, but just like the west coast. Clear bitter I. I like those too I. Think while he roots had some pretty good ones in the summertime for something they do. Yeah, because it was it last year had some. What some we were trying! I'm there are always good. Yeah, they're always pretty good there. Slush I mean not a traditional beer, but they're kind of like that. Oh, yeah! Frozen Beers. That was cool. That was a lot of fun. All Right Dixon says elway probably got a little gun shy about an eleventh hour deal with Simmons at as as he. Has His last couple. Vaughn and Thomas Really haven't given the best return on investment and eventually shown to be bad contracts. People like Shaq Barrett in nineteen and a half sacks last year. We maybe should've kept round. have been balling Ballin. Justin Simmons needs contract. To get this deal done i. mean we need to see Justin Simmons? Get this deal done, and apparently it's not going to happen. So. We're going to the franchise tag. You'll be there of course but franchise tag shirt. Don't work like they used to. I mean players look at that as a slight against them so when time comes to sign with the team. Re signed with the team. The doesn't doesn't do it and I think where we are at this point, but. Did, get this. From Mike Klis oh. This was about This was almost an hour ago. Per close source elway three hours before the deadline, there are no contracts going on between Justin. Simmons and the broncos haven't talked in. A while can expect a deal if they're not talking Simmons appears headed toward the one year, eleven point four million dollar tag salary in two thousand twenty. So, what does that mean for the future? You can tag them twice right so he could get that again, but. This is this is. You gotTA. Get this one done. I tweeted earlier today, said Hey, you already ignored this defense. You already ignored the defense in two thousand twenty and my. Yes, yeah, you got some some nice pieces, but all those nice pieces were fax to replace the Nice pieces that you lost. I stand by I. Think the only big addition. That you made okay. You got AJ boy. You Got Giral. Casey Aj. Boy Ages replaces Chris Harris. WHO's better between the two right now up saying Chris Harris. and. Then you've got drill. Casey to basically sub out four Derek Wolfe May. Probably better. There's probably about a Casey's better, but it's wash. U. Downgraded the cornerback position. You upgraded your left defensive end side of things. So What did you do with your defense? Now? People saying well. You Got Bradley Chubb Coming Back I hate this this this. I, don't know what it is. This notion that well Bradley chubs coming back. It's almost like you just picked him up and free agencies of a fresh pro player. He's played for the Broncos for two seasons now that he's going into his third. People like to throw around players like a year of time in a year of life doesn't have any effect on people and especially one. That saw an injury. Take you out for it every year. You're getting closer to retirement. Morbid way to look at it. But how much production did you see? Okay, Dixon, you want to argue about von Miller. I'll go with you on this for this argument right now, von Miller. I will give you the fact. Yes, I still think he's an important player. For the Broncos I think he will be an important player for the broncos this year, but His prime. He hit his peak of performance in two thousand fifteen, when he when the Broncos won the super bowl now again even during the regular season, he wasn't absolutely ripping it apart, but in the playoffs he was running all over people von. Miller has been in the League for eight seasons. And going onto his ninth year. So. Of those of those eight seasons. Look at his production. He's had you know. He is had four seasons of that where he's had more than thirteen sacks. I'm just talking about sex so when you when you look at it guy like Bradley job. He's already on his third year. What's that going to look like? Yeah? I think he's going to have a great year two or three, but don't discount the fact that he missed a year and the idea that Oh. Your defense just improve because you get in trouble I. Guess you are but stopped with this whole. It's just like you drafted him again re now. He's got a bounce back from an injury. That is a big deal. Listen. It's hard to disagree with our arts emphasis on the show today. How could possibly be not talking out whatever elway doubling down on pissing off? Good players Lindsey annoucements. True! Do you think you think Philip? Lindsay is happy about Melvin Gordon being in town. Dig Deep Down. He's happy about that..

"Everyone understands that we have gone way too far okay we are close we need to stick together we need to be unity like I said before this means more to us than anything you compose on Facebook Twitter Instagram we need to we need to so while we're out here don't forget it it was said earlier on the phone said we're here but we need to make sure that we understand that we are fighting for equality not superiority for freedom and justice for all and we do not have our justice so that's understandable we will not force okay lawyers I was understanding that anyone that doesn't know why yeah my name is Justin Simmons I'm a product of course tomorrow Florida that is not why and that is not what I do I am a biracial that is why I understand both sides of the aisle where racism is not one sided it is it goes all across the border okay so we need to understand that I am here for you quality let's make sure we represent that's today thank you guys on the Justin Simmons yesterday.
Who Will Be the Broncos Defensive MVP in 2020?
"Said we do have a poll question up right now at KOAA Colorado on Twitter who will be the Broncos defensive MVP in twenty twenty von Miller drill Casey Bradley Chubb Justin Simmons right now von Miller winning this poll Bradley Chubb is you're right there so pretty close I voted for Bradley Chubb by the way okay I voted for Justin Simmons the only because he sees the field the entire the entire season and I I really think you even thinking badly troubled well they they see the field was a ninety percent just the same as a hundred percent I mean pretty much yeah so I mean we're we're splitting hairs I I actually think there's argument for all all four of them I think there is I think you'd even throw in like I said Kareem Jackson I think we can have a argue about Todd Davis will likely leave we can at least leave the team in tackles there's there's there'll still be harassed kit comes away with with big plays batted passes I mean there's there's probably argument for anyone of these guys yeah other then then yeah I I could totally understand that just and you know he's good for the show and you know I enjoyed enjoyed talking to him from time to time but I'm not you know I I look at and and you know we're all big fans Justin Simmons B. last year before all this went down I was like he's going to become a household name by the end of season sort of maybe all pretty but you know I look at these guys and I'm just for my own personal thing and they have a bounce back season knowing how Bradley Chubb is is kind of Courtland Sutton on the defense enters the attitude work ethic all that kind of stuff and he was where it was interesting get to talk to both those guys a buffalo wild wings last year because it felt like it was kind of a new unified narrative between the two you know Courtland brother has sent a lot of the same things very similarly it's interesting because they're off the side of the ball so it's it's it would it was kind of fascinating to you know to see two guys have the same approach would be different sides of the ball that aren't necessarily in the same same meetings and

"The Broncos are supposed to go to Carolina Atlanta New York they're supposed to have Miami come to Denver campus supposed to come to Denver New Orleans is supposed to come to Denver did they schedule whatever the if it is of this is if it if the reporting is even true there's still a chance that this entire thing gets blown up but you know what we won't think about that today today is about sixteen beautiful games and making sweeping statements about the success of each NFL team based on the schedule release sticking with the football here and then there was Justin Simmons Justin Simmons is now the only player left from the twenty sixteen draft class of the Denver Broncos the class that was supposed to be the one that led the Superbowl champion Broncos into their next era right with Paxton Lynch who was Paxton Lynch Adam Gotsis known more for his legal troubles than any production on the field the Broncos decided they'd rather pray play Graham Hey Graham Glasco instead of Conor McGovern will parks never really form the dynamic duo at safety which just incidents I was supposed to they gave away and he generates because they didn't need a tight end in Pat Shurmur's offense one guy was a punter and then there's the vaunted Booker and even though we knew that the Monte Booker was not going to come back to the Broncos is now official that he's not because he is reportedly signed with the raiders and you you look at the promise unfulfilled by the Utah running back really two issues with him right one is he was supposed to be a physical back with a little bit of ability to catch the football out of the backfield could really do either of those things can't really run with a lot of momentum danced around a lot couldn't catch the ball fumbled I guess I should say problem one for divine tape Booker was he wasn't a very good running back second thing is they found this kid out at sea you with you know with the Afro that lived at home with his parents he turned out pretty well and that not to devante Booker down.

"Line five six six nine zero so we want to talk to you guys about that's in the yeah in Europe for your give us call thrill three seven one three eighty five eighty five okay let's see here this one asking Hey guys can you update us on the salary cap and how that may relate to new contracts for Justin Simmons and Phillip Lindsay well I don't think that the salary cap is going to particularly affected they are their new contracts I'm I guess I'm confused as the specificity of the question but I'll say this there's more money the salary cap based on the way things are going to go with a new media deals is going to go up exponentially over the next five years meeting right now we're at one ninety five each your take to to to you're going to see that cap hit probably two forty within the next four years and it'll be a ride you were there we asked you Rappaport refers all the record or off the record we're talking about that with the combine recognition that he I think they were on the record because you gotta casually you know we need to talk the talk about deliberate cap leveling but as you can see that's going to come out here directly that that these new media deals are gonna push that forward source Justin and feels deals that just means there's more room to get more money they can't use the tag they can't use double tags so they could have tagged someone else other than statements of you know if if they had a decision to make that could've been awful but otherwise I don't think it affects them in any way other than the cat going up will mean that they'll get more money or at least have more money available to get them well and and right now for Justin Simmons contract so he's getting a lot of our eleven point five this year on the tag so whatever they're going to work around to try to give him a longer term deal it probably will be a more significant hip than that in your one in fact I'd say that they they may shift things a little bit depending on where they're sitting in the salary cap at that point you know me give me these things can all be massaged if you need them to be so if you need Justin Simmons like Hey listen we have the money now is going to pay it out now and get out front and and that way on the back into this deal we could have it is more like a team option that you could do that or you can back will deal to the brokers tend to front load what other deals because they want their the the flexibility on the back and to be able to walk away from guys right with a guy like Justin that maybe the exception that maybe the one guy you back right you know I yeah but I I I don't know I I think they're going to be fine get that worked out and I suspect will be a long term deal before the tag this year I think I still think because John always said that their plan is to spare full plenty I still think they're gonna try to get something done there but I don't know how how big a deal that's going to alternately be like like what what do you think Phillip Lindsay now with Melvin Gordon here at least for this year probably for two years more likely depending unless something crazy happens bill please he's got one year left and then he's going to be a restricted free agent next year so the Broncos have him basically under control for the next two years they they don't really have to do anything they're required to but he is performing well above what they brought him in for so John always said they're gonna give extra money I still think that that's probably the case what do you think they're gonna do with Phil I do respect him after the draft I I'm not sure it'll be a full new contract so much is they may try to extend him attack some years old I I I don't I think they don't want to let him hit free agency because that's kind of where he's going to force them to spend money on it so I think what they're gonna try to do is offer him an extension that sweetens this year and give him probably what would be a below market deal for three future years kind of thing that that's that's a smart way to do it now whether Phil except that it's up to Philip right on the attacks line here from Chris can we get a patchwork blue liberum concert I'm sure Ben would work the tambourine listen guys I five tampering is not really my instructor how both more cowbell guy look I know you got a fever the only prescription these times more cowbell I I am available for for couple playing I'm also available for for wrapping if you need a rapper I'm here for you I see you downplay your musicality but we also know you fronted a boy band at one point also but that publicly yeah well I did I just say like you you're always down play like all I I'm not really using lead client I just play the cal bell you got to have more cowbell you joke about it but in the end you may actually be better singing voice and I do I do that I've heard you say you got a little Dave Matthews thing going on what okay I love it it's supposed to be I mean it's supposed to be surprised okay I'll take it as a cop it should be dot is designed to be let's see here can we here some Everclear Santa Monica I don't know if we're gonna get to ever clear tonight hello all two notes in that song yeah even I can play that yeah that was a yeah the little workshop that's from Brian Moore here before we move on some questions I wish you guys run till nine o'clock on Saturdays thank you Brian I appreciate that but I guess wrong until eight o'clock on Saturday sixty eight this going to be a bit more time slot for I guess.
What analysts have to say about the Broncos' 2020 free agency haul
"Season let's talk about the the Broncos free agents that they could be doing a really really good job of posting up some video break down to the players that the Broncos have recently added it's giving people a chance to kind of get to know some of these players some of our our household names like Melvin Gordon but Graham Glasco certainly is not a household name I think for a lot of Broncos fans so maybe let's just let's call it back to the AJ Bouye a trade and what did you what do you think the Broncos got with AJ Bouye well I think first and foremost this is a life of Fangio's scheme fit to be T. at you know he's a he's a lanky guy he's got speed towards what I think of a cover three or mast cell type defense of financial likes to run he's a very smart player in terms of getting himself in position there was a place Sam Darnold you know the just like the run that post will route a lot they try to run it earlier in the game and you know I think they did a very good job communicating at their place band coverage there and boy a cover number one on the post pattern pretty decently late in the game they try to throw the same exact routes and boy they read it perfectly he gotten from the wide receiver and shielded him almost like a box out in terms of of a basketball type analogy here and he was able to go downfield to make a play on that post pattern intercepted returned about twenty six yards off enjoy downhill looks more guys in band you know Ryan you guys know this well but being around silty a lot more defensive back plays importance and I know that a lot of Broncos fans been clamored for a star name but look aged boy if he can recreate a little bit at twenty seventeen season any ad you know it's gonna be fully healthy corner to twenty twenty you can still be a guy that contributes massively in you don't have to have the most amount of telling your secondary if you got guys that are really smart that's one thing about how Justin Simmons involved fans your system I think Borges same type of player not just a bully a Simmons Jackie Jackie a Gaza border they're all intelligent guys and guys that are willing to hit is there anybody out there you see right now on the free agent market still left it maybe the Broncos could bring in and that the the defense the second or the kind of fits that mold you know I was thinking a lot about it you know one of the names that I think we've all talked about as principal tomorrow but with Chicago Bears releasing and he met all the time in the world to be able to sign in the fact they haven't done so just yet tells me that you're not interested or you're waiting for a few more things to happen in terms of you know Simmons and you may be full plans yet on off that extension's gonna happen now in the off season of this year but I feel like it may look more so in the NFL draft and no garlic Bryce Oliver junior I like him I am also an EC Roberson Adalat tech is one of the guys that still exonerated could be available maybe in the second third fourth round if this team really wants to look at that position are you mentioned earlier in the broadcast to kill will be called when we told him you know what the rockets could you never gets called PI so that might be a good idea to bring in in but also that for like the market outside is is pretty small you know there's like save your roads I feel like would be too pricey and I just don't see where he would fit right now and the Broncos can consider that they traded for boy name and they also re signed Vontae buys before I project in forty eight I'm gonna be the outside corners provincials defense this year so really at this point Thomas like the market right now has close for Denver on cornerback to like I said I think that could change at any point time considering if they make any roster moves to fix more space I think restructuring Callaghan's contract opens the door for maybe another mover to

"Is a big challenge Joe Joe welcome to join his radio I had a moment there I thought it was going to say I had a moment reaching over for the old dump button which is the button we hate when and when you guys don't use proper language on our program just thrown it out all right so Justin Simmons franchised by the Broncos his number it it it's it's already been associated with the salary cap right now at eleven point six million dollars right it's been assigned at eleven point six million dollars right now the average of the top five is fourteen million to fourteen point six this has to be that average salary that we're looking at what the eleven point six million dollars but it feels like it's it just feels like a lot of money tied up into our secondary a lot of money it seems to me that John Elway is acting as if he is from Missouri yeah the show me state and he wants Justin Simmons to show me one more season of what you just did which was your best season in the in the National Football League I don't think there is I don't think it's that I think John Elway wants justice that was a take a less than market deal and Justin Simmons is probably saying show me the money or two is representation nope no thank you less and less less than you know you get what you know if I was on our way and I was offered a deal that would be less than market it would probably be somewhere between eight and nine million dollars with twenty million dollars signing bonus or twenty million dollars in guaranteed and call it quits but Justin Simmons been in this position since he was in a first round draft pick going to free agency after four years and having his fourth year being his best year is gonna say no as he should but I I have I have question marks about the deal I think that they probably should work through something before the end of the regular season and I'm quite sure they they try the Broncos tried and certainly Justin Simmons is representation try but I have question marks about the salary because I don't know if Justin Simmons is the best player on the team that's playing safety and I like the guy I'm telling you I think that he is a first class guy that's the guy that you would want your daughter to marry okay that guy is a fantastic guy he represents everything the Broncos do in the best way possible he is a fantastic person and a good football player but he's not the best safety on the team Kareem Jackson is the best safety on the team but what Justin Simmons does is lines everybody ups gets everybody in position ready to play and away they go and they play a good brand of but a good brand of football especially in the red zone where it's hard to get everybody coordinator then in those subtleties about the defense stat that makes you know one guy out of position ever so slightly it turned into a touchdown we were we were the best in the league at that we were the best in the league at at handling guys down in the red zone so there's something to that and he is the captain of that the reason that Chris Harris didn't like his role as much last year because he was traveling with the number one receiver the whole game so basically Chris would say where's de Andre Hopkins okay the Andre Hopkins over here he's in the slot I'm in the slot I mean this is on the outside I'm on the other side I was on the left on the left is on the right I'm on the right just followed him everywhere right so in years past with Chris Harris junior Chris Harris junior it was almost like the free safety calling out the defense this is the first time in Chris Harris's career that he finished the football season where he wasn't calling out the defense because he usually plays a slot and in the slot you can show and and and and move guys so that you'll get the best possible coverage that you need on probably one of the most explosive players because the soccer player in football is is is one of the most dangerous positions and last year that responsibility was taken from Chris Harrison and given the Justin Simmons and he did a great job with it I do want to say that he did a great job handling the calls getting guys lined up and basically playing football at a high level I just don't believe when I look at and this is just me speaking okay when I look at the history of the safety position here in Denver Justin Simmons is a really good football player not in the same category as a Steve Atwater or I would argue white cream Jackson has done not in the I don't think he's not even in that category in the same not not your fault because the only reason that I can say that with great confidence is because I've seen a lot of great safeties play here from T. J. ward okay Darian Stewart who I thought was a great safety here for a long time I was a guy that we got on the cheap and he did a great job for us and then you go to Jay ward of course and then some are recent history here yeah John let's stipulate their safety position these guys are more of the bumpers in our defense and justice Simmons is not necessarily that bumper he's a guy that's going to take the ball away from you so the question mark for me is always what's one of those guys is more valuable the guy that is the imports on your team well the guy to take the ball away and that's why I wonder out loud on the Broncos doing the right thing by guarantee in a guy like Justin Simmons a long term deal for more than eight or nine million dollars okay let me ask you this don't you feel that but I almost feel like they have to because this is John Elway's draft pick and they want to say that this guy is our home don't you think the safety position has changed it has so much and I think it is changed to more of the plain style the Justin Simmons is Plano the more the more the playing style of Kareem Jackson right which is still the weather was a corner up until last year now I hope people don't understand and know that Kareem Jackson was a corner up until last year and they moved over the safety I thought that he was more of the enforcer back there then but he's also just a good football players not just being unnecessarily the goddess of bumper because that role is kinda leaving the guys like Tyrone mad deal to guys like try Pala model guys like when you look around it read the guys that can make the play take the ball away from you but still be active in the run game like Earl Thomas you don't say and those those kind of guys those guys who around the line of scrimmage and also the guys that are in the secondary that can also make those plays you know just the same as the rangy guy it's it's just a question mark but it's mine it's your it's my question mark it's my question mark I don't know if I would I don't know if I would you know I don't know if I would and like I said he represents everything that's good about the Denver Broncos I really believe that I just wish he played like Kareem Jackson yeah in in that body in that body the Justin Simmons has and that other skill set that he has and he just had that little bit of dumper in him it would just make it it would make it a little bit different because I think he plays a little bit more of a finesse game then okay then okay then and then the game like K. Jack's place yep and and once again it doesn't at that that part of football is leaving and I'm okay with it leaving I'm I'm more than okay with that part of football leave in that bunker bunker mentality I'm okay with that leaving but the the active in around the ball is not what the Broncos ask of Justin Simmons when he's asked to be part of the run game he makes a tackle any look when he's asked to be part of the passing game he makes an exception the question is which one do you value the most do you get it and if you only had to pick one Kareem Jackson or Justin Simmons which one you pick it you don't have to you can have both of them but.

"Entrance on the a devil from Stanford okay rants Delp it's yeah that's not going to have from L. issue that's not going to have this been a popular name associate with the Broncos for I had better part of year old most polite I can promise you that is not going to happen little bit of a surprise there but his argument is Chris Eyre's junior will be a free agent Justin Simmons could be a free agent and the Broncos could use some more depth at secondary said instinctive rangy safety who by the way did have a great real he didn't really have a great year intelligent down year relative previous years I I just don't see that happening it about Seattle signal between that high either most mocks have him going pretty late recently they have another first rounder but he's that guy to go somewhere between fifteen and twenty five yeah that's where most of it now the one thing that I think is really funny because you we got into this last night okay about with the Broncos consider a quarterback right he says I like to lock but the Broncos aren't sold on the rookie quarterback it's not out of the question for them to move up and go get her bird there that is his stare how many elements that I took last night from you and Mike rice you really turned aside with Todd McShay I despite the football with Todd McShay saying that there is a possibility it it doesn't mean it should be possible it doesn't mean that this is what the Broncos should be considering I think it would be a mistake especially with Herbert that said it it is in the realm of possibility the Broncos Todd McShay who said the cold Cory was the best NFL prospect the scene five the.

"Ball defensively Justin Simmons as a leader we are the von Miller and Chris Harris been leaders for a long time so is Todd Davis and another guy who they will certainly miss no question Derek Wolfe has been a leader but his dislocated elbow now has him on I are done for the year tough because he in a contract year and I know he wants to be back here in Denver his wife is from Wyoming they wanna make their home here permanently and they have a young baby girl and his step daughter I believe her dad might actually can be in Wyoming and I'm getting in a terrible first live a little bit but he wants to be here that is I mean he's gonna take a full blown home town discount but we'll see he's coming off is now best sax season seven sacks picked up two on Sunday and got a game ball from Vic Fangio about with him out that makes it easy to side the week in week out choice of Adam got scissor DaMarcus Walker now that Walker's shoulder is healthy but he's been a healthy scratch last couple weeks and Adam got this after sitting out for four weeks has got to play one now the booklet and dream out Jones we side is first career pick will get increased work as well in his snap count has been all over the place I tracked remote down during the week and wanted you to hear that conversation and I began by highlighting the positive the big interception first of his career I ask grandma on after snatching the ball out of the air from Philip rivers did you think you're gonna take it to the house are you for sure I got the bomb yeah I'm going but I do realize that like the old one was Littler into a for me so I can really like it going like I wanted to let let me ask you does here's kind of football question to it I know that bill caller tells you get your hands up if you're not gonna be able to make the play on the quarterback he put is catching the ball out of the air I thought that often or is it more okay we're not gonna down and then we're gonna go get him on the next play yes definitely thought because you also worked batted balls who also works catch the ball to so both things are we both things we do we have many practice so it's cool to see that you know so that we do our part is like is and minutes of the game how would you evaluate your rookie year to this point thing up had a productive rookie year I mean I don't have like the the second was I wanted but I think up up up on a lot of pressure of my first year just get exposure one of my old one one was because these experience alignment something about a productive season yeah it's tricky by setting goals we don't know exactly what your snap counts gonna be year your role in the defense game to game the others have a general idea but the game plays out and and things happen a guy goes down here and there yeah more staff maybe a lesson after someone's playing well your muscles are very consistent may sometimes women twenty place sometimes begins at two ten I'm always in and out the rotation so it's hard to really get going sometimes we know you're a a just which given with the Vic Fangio was asked Wednesday about your playing time being increased because of the Derek Wolfe injury he said yeah absolutely that that's likely what's going to happen so when you hear that I guess that's got to be encouraging knowing that you'll be on the field a little bit more the final four games yeah I mean just for the future standpoint just getting that more info experience on on my bill and then having the builder that built a confidence up cause I don't really play the run that much so I think get a chance to do that with him my compass lot and how do you like your fit and sixty fence I like it a lot because one of the things where you know you you get a separate team is which also plays because of yourself is not with the over a one way street is to is we never we have and so with four games knowing your role will be increased can you set kind of many goals a personal goal that was hard coming in two years I'm gonna have five sacks ten sacks or or this many tackles for loss but do you think you will in the final four games okay these are the marks I want to hit non not not not not necessarily come is one going to be a productive as you can you don't want to put like a a limit to what you can do no you go out there and it's sincere fills never no man is in hell has been done but things can always happen again you haven't been around here obviously very long it's what you know part of being a rookie but yeah a lot's been made of last year's rookie class and then this years rookie class in terms of really nice building blocks for the organization when you look at what dot risers done all year the flashes from no a fan and then withdrew locks starting plus all the guys are in year two how excited are you about the young core of this team I think they're doing a great job of building building up crazy telling that no we're all young role Asian twenty to twenty four years so no we're either gonna have a bright future ahead of us all right the final thing I have as it relates to this week's game of the Texans deshaun Watson.

"I know we we poked a lot of fun and Chris Harris saying that just since image should state yeah I'm going to go but you should say but talking about the fit in Vic Fangio system I think Justin Simmons is going to be the Broncos top priority in terms of retaining potential free agent Justin Simmons spoke a little earlier today up at the valley actually his birthday by the way Happy Birthday Justin Simmons he was asked whether you know being up on the Vikings it just the the whole way that Sunday went down if it makes it any easier to know that they were for awhile neck and neck with a dark horse I Superbowl contender in the NFC I mean it it make it any easier I guess you know data kinda you know ponder on and look back on you know where the mistakes were made why they're made and kind of grow from that I mean that's really what you do when you watch the film you know you know what jobs you haven't certain plays in in on this particular play think back in why did you get it done and then you know you fix that moving forward and so I did make it any easier I felt like you know this past Sunday was just like the other Sundays except you know it was obviously a bigger lead by us and we you know I didn't find a way to close it out and I just I mean from a defensive standpoint emir up by twenty points I have time or whatever you know you you got a close I came out no matter if the offices you know the first down and so you know we take a lot onus on that on that part up until Sunday talk about communications so the the secondary and then after the game he said the unification wasn't really there on Sunday we live yeah I think a lot of it was doing parts you know the second half a lot of what they did was a lot of tempo you know kinda temple and things up and so I guess that a big part of what we do is communicate and it's not just you know like one word everyone set and ready to go on there's multiple things have to be said multiple pieces of the puzzle you know in our back and that you have to be a place in order for the whole thing operate well and you know you seen in spurts I mean you know one of the biggest things is you know for us is not let up the big play and we gave up a couple of those in the second half and you know it's not taking anything away from what they did because I was they came out second half adjusted and executed what they talked about but a lot of it was self inflicted as well where you know plays that we kinda easily took off the board the first half but in the second half you know lack of communication and and lining guys up and you know just doing our basic fundamentals assignments and you know we saw what happened so or missed assignments than guys could be yeah and I would say I would say you know we really got like the I see that they are there they get paid to they make plays so you know those are gonna happen but it wasn't just a you know them willing their ways to win you know I felt like a lot of it you know you go back and watch it on a lot of it was just like I said miscommunication guys think in there one thing when we're in another and so we just have to be better and that starts in the back in you know safety I take on this and that you know saying guys up with talk about every week you know there's a lot on Karina nice plate but you know we can get that done and that's something we gotta get the.

"Safeties but none the less Justin Simmons big year for him personally and he was asked today whether making a Pro Bowl which probably would help his chances of getting paid in the off season is a goal of his as he comes in to the last season of his deal yeah of course you know that's always personal goal of mine back in the back of my mind and so you know we talk about all the time the place that you make out here in camp for the place that you're going to make during the regular season so I mean it's great right the place that you're making now but what counts is you know that first game Clinton and so forth the next fifteen games and so you know just trying to bill bill bill bill bill so it becomes easy in the regular season and reports from dove valley are Justin Siemens is one of the guys who has stuck out the most over the first few days over about about a week seven days right they took a couple day off but basically seven days of camp Justin Simmons is been one of the best Broncos and listening to him talk today certainly he seems like he's focus either I mean ages comes off really well I I think that Justin Simmons could have a really good year but he is one of and this is in the complete list but you have three four five six seven eight nine pending free agents of no with the Denver Broncos so why did dudes that are playing for contracts so as we enter get going here on training camp and enter this season when do low game here and tell it we call it by a cell hold when it comes to these pending free agents for the Denver Broncos.

"Banged up. Chris junior split reported with a broken fibula any any update on him. And and also, Derek Wolfe and Josie Joel Christmas break in his lower leg. So we'll see about him moving forward on Monday. And Tuesday, we value with him wolf. He's got a little bit of a rib rip issue. He should be okay along with rest, but obvious losing Chris for a game or even two games is Hughes for defense. But hey, you know, we have to bounce back next man up and we have to move on. Listen, you guys have won three straight. And again, you've talked about winning one game at a time. You've got five games left. The next one is is San Francisco. I would guess you've got to really liked the mindset of your team right now. I do I do, you know, our our team heaven flinched in about a month. Okay. So whatever happens on the field. No one we lost three starter. Today on defense. We've got five I'll total no one's flinching is a guy winning and played at a high level sort of sewer Craven's Justin Simmons plate nickel for today's flinched the coaching staff didn't flinch, and that's been the way we played David last month and a half. Yeah. Congratulations. Thank you very much. That's head. Coach Vance Joseph brought to us by Ameristar
