"I was also told directly because people are saying, you know, why did they sign CJ miles and Justin Jackson? And Joe Johnson, guys who are not Isaiah Thomas. Well, there's been some of that for sure too, but the thing missed with Isaiah Thomas is this all happened after the Lakers are already there. So they just maybe get beat to the punch, but the reality was, what I was told would those four guys, Justin Jackson's initially different place, of course, seasonally, four years in the league. But Johnson and miles was, they know what the story is. They know they're coming in here for probably ten days. Maybe 20, if there's a need to keep them beyond that, with no expectations of I'm going to stay at. I'm going to stay. I'm going to do all these things. And there's a email address. We're not looking for any projects. Right now, we're not looking to bring these guys in. We're a team like Orlando, where I live. Dave pulled up all these guys from their G league team, but they're also a team that's scary in the diamond mining process of let's see if we can find somebody who can pop and things like that. We've also seen the Celtics aren't stalking Maine with young player. They're generally going for guys that are a little bit more established. They have a pretty good sense of who they are. I think the main guys are getting jobs elsewhere anyway. Exactly. And I think and I do think if they'd known where things were going, you might have seen one or two of those guys maybe come back. You need to talk about that of like, hey, they get snapped up and want somewhere. It's also on the players too. It's those guys are free agents as far as the NBA is concerned. They don't have any loyalty to have to go to this outbreak if they feel like if you're Luke or not, my better shot to play and stick is in Cleveland, then go to Cleveland versus coming to Boston. But I think the main thing was the Celtics didn't need guys coming in who were trying to fight to stay on the roster and doing all this stuff. They needed guys who got it and knew what the story was. Come in, do your thing for, you know, two, two and a half weeks.

"Just in herbert has been a little off the offensive line You know which has been a problem for awhile. Rebuilt it was it was. It's been under siege of the last couple of games and herbert hasn't responded as well as he did previously. he's been a little inaccurate and then to add to that. All of the receivers have dropped the football a little bit. I'm keenan allen who never drops football and mike williams dropped a couple austin eker had one bounce off his hands at went for a pick and another picky. Herbert had to picks last week. The other one was was some kind of misread between Cook the tight end. Who wasn't even looking for the ball and it was thrown straight to a db. So they're just a little out of sync casey but they've got a lotta pieces of the puzzle. Unfortunately austin has been questionable for a number of weeks. He's got a hip going on so check his fantasy team if he's in his fantasy teams lineup than he's playing. If not he's going to have to sit this one out. It would have to be justin jackson who had one huge run last week and then he got hurt right and if he if he can't stay healthy it'll probably be larry rowntree And former ucla Running back kelly who hasn't seen much action this week but You know this chargers team right now. This looks like this is a good time for them to get sort. Get right and get go back into a rhythm on a defensive site. They've got a lot of talent but they're they're really pretty awful against the run. At least statistically last in the league sounds pretty awful and they're playing against the team in the eagles who have had a great running game in terms of the running back but when you add jalen hurts in there there are really good running team and we got a couple of. Dvd's down asante samuel the star rookie. He's questionable is in concussion. Puerto protocol. Michael davis is also questionable in this game. So they're going to rely on derwin. James who is a monster. He created a fumble last week along with his thirteen tackles But they have got to find a way to contain jalen hurts and then get their offensive back. Yeah you mentioned hurts. He obviously is the quarterback there but he's also the leading rusher and they don't run the football that much unless it's him they gotta trust at. You know a lot of these young coaches they bail on the run a little too early so It's probably be gain. Well and bart scott are not bart. Scott boston scott. Sorry your cousin from boston..

"Who are we confident. Confident in and first of all should we be picking up a chargers running back with awesome missing practice with a hip injury. Jamie one. Because i actually have a league where i've just the jackson and the league or two weeks now josh kelley. So no. I don't but justin jackson was significantly better than kelly last year and kelly to me. It seemed like actually this isn't even to me. It seemed like kelly didn't have a role this year until the one game where jackson was inactive. So i lean jackson how about you. I would lean jackson also. But i think it's going to be a mess You know you're you're you're talking about probably all three guys getting touches in some fashion. You're hoping one of them falls in the end zone. You hoping one of them is the pass catching guy you know. It's it's a. it's really really a disgusting situation. That was not there so the only positive would be is if you're sitting on one of those guys and don't sit on them because probably parts. Yeah w. sitting on one of those guys Holding on your auster and you don't have to play them. Then you see what happens. Coming out of this week is significant injury. now he does a fantasy show with liz loza on on yahoo. He was on the show this week for what that's worth so you know maybe it's just a minor thing that happened. And they're being cautious about it. I i can't imagine if he's hurt significantly not playing. He's still doing show by all accounts. They just awesome the clips. Because i was curious He was smiling and seemed. Okay you know so I don't know when they film it's for what it's worth but You know i think that is somewhat of a positive sign that it hopefully is not as sniff injury. Yeah all right so it's hypothetical right now So as we look at the guys that we know starting which replaced running backs. Are you excited about this week. Schubert at atlanta david johnson. He's in the mix now against Against the rams and the report reports the replacement well. We don't usually talk about him and he's replacing the starting running back right so i've eli on this list to pr- i probably shouldn't he is the guy but i guess it's players know patterson on this list now it's players that you could have picked up off waivers one and players who are necessarily an easy call court. Everyone's gonna start Patterson all right. So i got hubbard. David johnson booker. Daryl williams khalil. Herbert ally mitchell eagles running backs at detroit and then alex collins.

"I think that practice squad signs are the practice squad signings are just an indication of the rest of the roster, right? I think when we signed Nate hall to the practice court, everyone was scared because like, what does that mean about drew? Is June tranquil injuries really bad? Is he going to be out a long time? And then when you sign a tackle, a day after we all find out about Brian bloggers second surgery, this season. That's like hey, I don't know if we're gonna get blogged back this year. So I think it's the individual themselves. There's a reason they're a practice squad player. There's a reason they were a free agent. I think I'm excited. I read some of the stuff too, kids, like it's crazy the way this guy was being touted out of high school. He was like a four star guy and he went to Stanford played there all four years. But the guy's got talent, obviously, but there were something that all 32 teams saw to the point where no one drafted him. So now that's not to say he can't make a big career, but I think the practice squad signings, I think for us as a fan base, kind of gives us a glimpse into what our coaches and the GM is worried about on our current roster. So the dropping of Nate hall, I think leans to drew if he is hurt being a short term thing. And the signing of a tackle in a D lineman is maybe Justin Jones is more banged up than we thought. And blogging I don't know if we're gonna see him back. Absolutely. I think you hit it right on the head there. Because looking over at the entry report as it stands right now, we've got necessarily who was limited on Wednesday, but didn't practice on Thursday with a hip injury. Justin Jackson has been getting limited snaps in Wednesday and Thursday. Tranquil has not practiced Wednesday or Thursday and neither has Mike Williams. Not practice Wednesday or Thursday. So that was surprising. I didn't expect to see Mike two days in a row not participating. Hopefully he gets a practicing today. I don't recall where I read it. I want to say it was either a Reddit, comment or a Twitter comment, but somebody made mention that Mike Williams got hurt during the game went out for a bit, but then came back in and made a touchdown or something like that. So I have a feeling, at least with Mike Williams that this is just. It's a racing. Don't stress it, don't worry about it. Because the guy has just been playing out of his mind this season. Drew tranquil, though, that's the one that we don't know what his injury is. So it's hard to tell, is this rest or is this legit like he's not practicing because he's heard? Yeah, I think juice hurt. I think he's. If I had to bet, I'd say he's not gonna play Sunday. Even Craig posted on his responded to retweeted one of drew's tweets on Monday about he posted like this inspirational quote of scripture about hey, it's okay, when you're tested, you'll get.

Browns vs Chargers: Final Injury Report Full of Concerns for Cleveland
"We're still looking at Wednesday's injury report, but for the Chargers, everybody's getting a little practice, and there's no D and ds. Anybody that's not practicing is on IR. Right. Those are the only guys that are not practicing, but knock on wood doesn't this feel weird? It feels good. It feels really weird because when you look at the Cleveland Browns, there's a slew of dudes of DNP. There's a lot. There is a lot of 15 or 17 something crazy. There's a lot of people on this list. Yeah, in years past, this would be flipped. We would be the one with the scroll of players that are not practicing and the other team had like a handful. Not this year, folks this year, we've only got one two and three, four, 5, 6. People on the list and everybody's practicing. Yeah, three of them are limited, but they only guide on their list that's like come on dude is Chris Harris. You know, like, you asked the point or else they would have put them on IR. He had to be so close to being able to play. He has to be back this week. Coach coach talked about him last during his most recent press conference and he said that, you know, he practiced in pads last week. There are really wanting these guys to get healthy and stay healthy. Right. It feels like he's probably going to play this week. He got in limited, but, you know, Justin Jackson Derwin and Chris Harris are limited. So everyone else is full. So that's pretty crazy. Yeah. And yeah, and it's crazy because the browns have an extra day rest too, 'cause they put Sunday, we play Monday. Their list is huge, man. It's crazy because a lot of these are like, they're just not practicing. Coach is just like not injury related. They're just resting. Two of the guys. Run them up. Run them off. Run them off, dog. Let's see. So we've got Odell Beckham junior. He's practicing in full davin Clowney. He's he didn't practice, which is, I mean, that's a big name. Wow. Garrett didn't practice Troy hill, Malik Jackson. There's a lot of guys on this list that starters that didn't

"Just watching the game. It just seemed like both dallas lines wanted more than the chargers lines did There just wasn't a whole lot of fight upfront. Another charges ran the ball pretty well but you mentioned no pressure. They couldn't stop the run at all. the defensive tackles were getting driven five six yards deep in the defensive backfield again. This week a linebackers getting picked off left and right by a second level linemen climbing guards and things like that that they just couldn't they couldn't feel they couldn't get around they couldn't shed It was it was rough. The chargers looked for st long stretches of that game. They look pretty overmatched On both sides of the ball which surprised me. I really thought that the chargers defensive line in particular would at least pressure dak maybe force a couple of mistakes and like you mentioned. They really had a hard time getting anywhere near him. Without sending five or six people. They couldn't get home four which seemed to be the game plan until they really need to start dialing up the pressure and they started sending five and six and once they started sending a couple of extra people than they started getting a little. Bit more pressure but it was just mean that defensive line was invisible. They shut down bosa outside a role in a tillery in new also. I think getting home on that one sat they split. There was nothing that defensive line. It was pretty discouraging given the state of the dallas offensive line. And hopefully that something will change soon. Yeah the very first. Play from scrimmage with christian covington breaking through his app and stopping zeke for. I think like a one yard gain or no gain at all and i was like man. I hope this is the tone of the game and that was not the case. I was happy on the first. Play from scrimmage it did. It changed very quickly Tonio wants to talk about storm. Norton mind norton was useless as an anti virus. It happens that he is a football player as well. Yeah i mean i storm. Norton was an issue today. He was getting mica. Parsons was having his way with storm norton and the fact that storm norton configure out. All parsons wanted to do was cut inside of him. He just never figured it out in where i mean. It was so clear to see. Everybody knew what he was doing. He wasn't gonna try to run. The hoop and go around was always going to cut inside and norton always duct outside. Parsons cut inside every time you give them a head fake. You'd still get inside. Just go inside and you'd be able to get inside. There's no way. Norton stop them and the fact that the chargers never put a man on just in herbstreit side like actor justin jackson around for your anybody to give him help is so concerning because in the preseason we saw trae pipkins get whipped in the preseason for that safety and the first thing out of staley's mouth was we got to see what he really is but in a game. He's going to have help on sundays but store norton as give me help with the waiver. Sean slater playing storms to get going to get an extra guy on his side. it's crazy. yeah they really hung out to dry. I mean he. He played pretty well last week in limited duty but he was exposed pretty badly today. Which is something we all. I think expected with him getting extended. Snaps you gotta chip. You gotta have tight end over there to help you gotta do Slide some kind of protection over to help him. Yeah and they just did nothing and he was left out there on island and he got abused by a guy. Who is i mean. He's he's off ball linebacker and they had them playing defensive end out of desperation and he chewed norton up. Yeah i thought personally. I thought parsons. He played really well. But i thought he had at least two or three late. Hits on on Herbert that were call late. Josh latent to three extra steps after the ball was out blasting him in the back with no call and they were worse than the place we saw last sunday that bosa got flak for the as amazing. Yeah parsons in herbert two or three times. Absolutely yeah man i just. I don't understand what the game plan was why they didn't give him any help. Parsons played great. But he was a speed guy he was gonna try to beat you inside every time. Norton just could not figure it out. So there's a question here. And i know i know you and i have talked about it. What do you think about having filer. Kick out to right tackle and then brennan high the rookie. Who looked really getting preseason moving at left guard something worth exploring practice to see how it looks but my guess is they're not going to want to have to rookies on the blind side So so early in the season. I think they're going to try to wait it out. Maybe see if they can give norton somehow maybe see if they can get something out of michael scofield. God help us But my guess is they're going to want to avoid having to two rookies on the blindside. I just feel like that's kind of putting those guys in a rust spot. And maybe part of the reason. I mean slater is really really good but part of the reason these having so much success is because he has such good veteran presence helping him to the inside and if he loses that might expose some things a little bit so they might not be in too much of a rush to make that change. Yeah and on that fourth down play where they needed yard that went right behind matt filer. Snuck it with herbert. And they got it with these. There's one question here about the defensive line. And i mean back to that question. Sorry i don't mean to jump around here but it seems like it on paper. This is the best five right now with storm norton but i think they don't wanna make a wholesale change you make to moves and kick filer out right tackle when he's comfortable there and the left sides done pretty well so far through two games so yeah. I don't think they leave to rookies on the left side. And i also think they make too changes. I think the easy change here is put michael scofield. Right tackle which you've got to hope. Gotta be better than storm norton and then back to the question. Did the chargers justin jones more than we thought absolutely not. This was an issue with justin jones or not in my mind. Yeah i mean. I think what we really saw is just the extent to which the chargers have absolutely no depth on the defensive line at something that we talked about training camp something we talked about during the preseason and leading into the fifty three they just have. There's really no quality period on the interior defensive line.

Is Your Business Idea Good Enough?
"By saying. I don't even like the term good idea or bad idea. 'cause good and band is relative. Really it's subjective. If you ask me having a rock for a pet is a bad idea but it was a popular thing in the eighties. Millions were sold so it doesn't really matter if i think something's a good idea or a bad idea. What really matters is what the market response to is. Her need in the market. Is their consumers out there that want that product idea. That's all that really matters now. I'm not saying there's this thing is brilliant ideas there are but they're not really the dictator or the indicator of success of the business. My good friend. Justin jackson actually puts it really. Well he says ideas are more like a multiplier rather than the defining factor. There other things around your idea that really matter like your implementation how you execute the idea the team behind it the service around the experience in delivering that idea all these things will contribute to. It's success how good that idea is will become a multiplier in that success which means you can have an idea. That's not earth shattering. That's not really revolutionary but will be a good business because of the things that the business owner did around that idea.

"And that's you know it was clear that they just wanted him and didn't need him in the passing game on sunday. He ran a handful of routes in his forty-seven snaps on sunday. None of which were really with intention. He ran fourteenth. He ran fourteen different routes on sunday. Ten of which were leak out of the backfield where ecuador is basically being an outlet for justin herbert. If he needed him he ran three. Go routes none of which He none of which he was really the intended receiver who just take a man with him. He ran a go route empty. That was designed to get cook one on one. You did one at halftime right before halftime to get mike will look and then the third would came to get keenan allen open so it wasn't like he was running it with intention trying to beat anybody. You're just taking a linebacker with them. To get other guys open of the last route was he did actually try to run. This one was a slant. Herbert already found his target in amount on the other side so in the first half they ran to place with two backs out of the backfield. Because you know we thought maybe there'd be some screens or some design. Pass rector out of the two backs in the backfield. It was jackson both times. And then keanu was lined up one time and gave neighbors as the other and it wasn't until the fourth quarter where they ran their first running back screen and who's to justin jackson on the second sixteen after i got off old. A boozy has the face penalty so herber threw dirt and it. Didn't you know herbert Justin jackson didn't get a catch there but that was their first attempt at a wide receiver screen looking back. You know it was just through the air. They didn't need them. They're gonna lean on keenan. Mike williams jared cook. Justin jackson was took over the receiving duties. So it looks like he might until awesome one hundred percent and then you know the plan will obviously change when it when they need us an but right now they just needed him to tout the rock they needed him to block. And just take a man on any routes. He ran so the plan wasn't to get off. Tackle the ball so much it was. He was more of a decoy on sunday. And that's obviously going to change. Which i i love because you know austin is going to get involved in this offense and if you don't need to show another offense in week six seven eight or nine some routes that you're gonna play early on it's gonna pay off because they didn't really see us doing any complex routes any place to him because they didn't really need him so it was clear after watching the game. They wanted him to carry the rock. They wanted him to go and protect. Justin herbert so to me. They're they're kind of holding their cards a little bit with us nectar as we saw in week one. Yeah no doubt night by the way out to actor he had i think three or four just bone jarring blitz pickups. He flipped chase young over over his heels. That was great block. Yeah he had a couple of those guys off their feet so he was awesome so valuable in that role as a blocker. And you know. Just look at that out the offense in new orleans how. How many routes they had a alvin kamara running. How much throw him the ball. I think they're gonna throw the ball downfield more because if herbert's arm strength and that's something that drew brees really didn't offer the last probably two or three years he just didn't have the strength to push the ball down the field so they had to throw the ball underneath more. But i'm sure we're going to see echlert. Get the ball in the passing game. I mean he's too valuable in that role not to like you said. Hold those cards close to the vest. They really didn't rule out. We'll talk about defense here in a minute. They really didn't rule out too many You know exotic looks on defense exotic blitzes. Everything seemed very simple very straightforward. They really didn't empty the toolbox at all on offense or on defense. It seems like they're holding things back. I'm sure they'll start to roll some of that out this week as they're going to have to score more points to the cowboys they can't be settling for field goals. They're going to beat the cowboys but Yeah they're going to get involved. I have no doubt about it. They just they didn't need him and it was just more important to have him picking up those blitzer and pass rushers in as a pass protector. So good game plan and like i said they're going to rule him out. I have no doubt about. There's they're gonna miss that opportunity. No there's no no need to concern yourself with why wasn't involved in the passing game. He will be in due time. So let's talk about the defense. We discovered offense. What's what's one of the bigger storylines for you on defense from sunday. Today we're talking about price picks which is the hot new thing in the world of daily fantasy into honest. It's not hard to see why people are getting all the way into this. Here's how it works. You pick anywhere between two and five players and take the over or the under on some specific staff projections for the day. That's it it's just you against their projected number. Get it right and you could win up to ten times while you put down on entry. And here's the best part. Price picks a ton of statistical categories.

"They ran emotion and they threw the ball to guyton behind. The line of scrimmage knows to keenan allen. Behind the line of scrimmage for like a ten yard gain and then the next time they ran it they ran to the short side with ecuador and he ran into he ran into a brick wall. Next time they ran it. They ran into the white side of the field for fifteen yard game. Then they ran it again. And they changed the personnel. A little bit and steven anderson was the second tight end on the field and they tried to throw the ball down the field so they were really mixing and matching certain looks and formations and it seems like they're building towards big plays down the field with some of these looks so it seems like there is a lot of intent in the way calling plays and not just for that play but for ten fifteen twenty place down the line and future weeks down the line. They're setting things up. You know another thing. They did a lot of was early. In the game. Stephen anderson was in the game. They were running the ball and they had a lot of success doing that and then in about the middle of the second quarter. They had steven anderson on the field and they started throwing the ball with him on the field. Going play action trying to push the ball down the field on justin herbert's interception. They had him run a deep post from the fullback position. He was actually hand on the ground in the backfield from the full back position in power formation and he and and they had him leak out of the backfield deep post wasn't a great throw but the look was funded. Something that i'm sure they'll build on down the line so everything they're doing has intent. They're laying the foundation. They're putting those building blocks down now and you can just see. It's going to lead to bigger splash. Plays down the line as they start to open things up against a more vulnerable defenses. They played things a little bit tighter against washington more short intermediate throws deep throat. Because they were trying to get the ball out of justin her britan's i think that was a game plan thing and obviously worked. They only scored twenty points but they let they probably left at least fourteen points if not twenty points on the field on sunday so there are opportunities air to score more points anything. Those points will come against lesser defenses. That washing your defense is just really good. But playcalling was phenomenal and vary. It just seemed like they were dictating. What the defense was doing To make they knew what the defense is going to be doing and they had the right routes called at all times challenging. Those zones is everything was just really on point. It was a lot of fun to watch you got a second storyline or got it. Yeah no my second story. Line has to be justin. herbert You know. I think we saw a lot of progress. A lot of growth in him and in granted. It's a small sample size. But he was so on point on sunday you can tell. He trusted the offensive line. He wasn't patting the ball. There was no second guessing reads. He wasn't holding the ball. No double clutching. He was hitting the top. Drop finding Getting the ball out. Everything was on point. I think there may be two or three throat. Throws if he legitimately missed on one was the interception. There was a jump ball. He threw keenan allen. That was just a little bit overthrown in the first quarter and i think there was one jump ball in the end zone to mike williams. It might have just been a little bit overthrown. But other than that he was on point he was throwing touch. She was throwing zip. He was throwing with timing in anticipation he was throwing people open. He was finding holes in the defence anticipating holes in the defense which is something. He didn't do a lot of last year. So you can see the growth and you can just see how special he is. And i can't wait as they kind of unravel this offense. And they roll it out fully to see what kind of throws they incorporate in the scheme to take advantage of all of his talents in how they start moving him around in the pocket. You know more roll outs. We really didn't see any rollouts. He was almost exclusively in the pocket on sunday. So there's you know there are more wrinkles coming in the play action game in the bootleg game in in an effort to get him out of the pocket away from pass rushes and charge stretched field so a lot more coming but just a very clean efficient. Well played game showing some serious growth in terms of how herbert's throwing the ball. How he's placing it. The pasties throwing with the anticipation of it was just phenomenal. Oh he was amazing. Yeah and so far in like you said small sample size Seems like that. Sophomore slump thing ain't happened with herbert. He's in a whole new offense and he's taking control so far made some real big throws So i wanna talk about the quarterbacks real quick and or the quarterbacks we just talked about the quarterback running backs so originally While watching the while you know on the i watch the game. originally thought round larry. Roundtree was getting more work because justin jackson. Which just a little banged up in that game which staley and mentioned but watching it again it looks like rowntree's moved himself up. Darby to right. He got to first down carries for sixteen yards in the first series before justin jackson even came on he. Justin jackson came on during a when it got towards the goal line but looking back i mean look like that. Rowntree was the guy who spelling before jackson was on the rotation aspect of it. Justin jackson got his first touch on third down passing the second drive and he kinda got whipped down a little bit. Awkwardly in the in in the sideline and to me. That's kind of where the it looked like. Maybe injury had happened. He went back to while he was kind of like walking back to the charter silent. He looked like he was kind of hobbling. A little bit. Like looking a little gingerly walking gingerly while i was getting back to the the sideline so it's not that jackson was hurt. It was that rowntree was already in early on in that drive. We saw rowntree at twenty seven percent of the snaps on sunday among running backs. Us heckler got the bulk of the snaps. Staley had talked about roundtree stepping up. And jack's absence but to me you know i. It looks like rowntree's got role in this offense. And he had an early. He was featured early on and he going to build on that role during the season. Because he's kind of that. Second running back up ahead of jackson and even at inactive joshua kelly of course but You know early on. I thought rowntree was the guy coming on because you know jackson was a little bit hobbled but they they have a plan for rowntree and their featuring him early on in that game and of course it got bigger and bigger game went along and he played pretty good. So look for. Larry rowntree to kind of excel in that cnn. Rb to roll. Obviously jackson has won this team too but rountree man. He looks like he's jumped jackson. So far yeah. Roundtree looked really good. I just i love how hard he hits the whole and the burst. He shows once he gets through it. He's just he's really fun to watch. Yeah something that a lot of their baxter's don't offer. I have a feeling that arbutus thing is going to be fluid. Oh absolutely i think it's gonna be a game plan opponent type thing. Where they're they're rotating based on skill sets in matchups but in my opinion rowntree offer a compliment to jackson. Kelly just don't with the size and speed and he's also a pretty good pass protector..

"You're not maybe ten percent say twenty or twenty five percent the main thing if you are zero on him but if you got running backs if you don't need a stardom of the network over ten percent and then it could be you know mitchell's job to lose from here all right all right nother only make i love. Not a lot of people are high. And larry roundtree the third rookie out of mizzou on the charters He's the best pure running back. Have he got you know. he's rb two. He got a carries. I think for twenty seven years. Not that impressive. We know gonna go down already. Had hammy injury if he does rowntree will step into that running back role. Obviously like i said that the receiving running back threat. Lovely roundtree the third i. We also mentioned him in our show. I didn't think he'd rb to right away now. Justin jackson jackson kelly got. Yeah so rowntree like he's more of a long season stash. She's not somebody who's gonna pick up and start next week but you don't have to put much on him. He's a nobody's radar so put a dollar on and get them especially actor. Carlos hyde is another minute back week. We kind of saw that. We kinda thought that we will see carlos high but not as much as what. We saw him I think he had eight carries or non. Ron are mice asteroid fourteen if the fourteen carries Eleven total touch. No i let eleven total touches but he produced james roberson. Did play more six snaps like forty but you kinda thought that high. Can you know back to Coach that you'll see him get get some love there Then another Quick thing is not we should. We have mentioned worry about him because he. Pr usage but buren standard league. I would. I would definitely look at carlos high for sure. Yup i agree. Hides kind of like a handcuff problems down. He'll be elevated. it's like you know. Rv fringe to three. Might as well. Just go over all these handcuffs on my list. I gotta lot her. How many jones junior on the saints elder commodities backup damian williams on the bears. You resell montgomery get banged up. He didn't miss time knocking. Yeah but still they mean williams to hubbard. These are the clear cut. Backups for these teams to hover You mentioned quarter of paterson. We mentioned him the other day. If the falcons are gonna think. He's that third down. Receiver back kenyan drake. Same thing you know. But yeah he did he find claiming larynx..

"But we think that if you had to choose chargers back if you're pressed up against you plan a deeply. Whatever the circumstances are if you have the opportunity to play one. We would both play justin jackson. Yeah i agree with that but to your point. I think it's going to be a bit of a committee right. So you've got josh kelley. There you've got. Larry roundtree the rookie. So i think it's going to be a bit of a committee and by the way jokes aside. Even though i'm wearing i'm wearing an ashbourne syndrome the only cure f- wa is a super bowl but the i think this is a very tough match-up i mean again. All khomeinism aside. This is a really tough match up. And you're you're getting a you're gonna get a running back that doesn't have a clear path to we think it's going to be jackson if you have to pick one but i think in an ideal world especially in a week where there's no buys right. I mean you should have full health. I think you're better off with whoever your number. Three running back is been going to the waiver. Wire and picking up a chargers running back but i agree with you that if you're forced to start a chargers running back echoes out. It is in fact. Justin jackson justin jackson available in ninety percent leagues. So surprised there not a. It's not it's not a one for one. Must do our best to get through the thursday night football game quickly and again. It was a great game. The bucks avoiding winning this game with a late field goal. You give tom brady. Eighty four seconds. It's about eighty three seconds too much time for him to come back. Tom brady tom brady stuff. I'm going to quickly given the highlights. And then maybe like one or two takeaways here again. We'll have so much time to dive into this next week and people watch this game. They have they know. Exactly what took place last night but dak prescott over four hundred passing yards. Twenty seven point four. Fantasy points zeke as we told you very limited yesterday five point nine points to catches but only thirty three rushing yards twenty pollard. Actually outscored him with eight point. Three fantasy points marker was like. Don't forget about me. Thirteen catches two touchdowns. Thirty eight point. Nine fantasy points cd lamb. Who had a couple of drops by the way. Yeah fields favorites and he. He was he actually. He was great for fantasy last night. Twenty three point four fantasy points. He left some plays out there. He did no doubt about that. And then michael gallup gets hurt. Oh so i won't ask about that in just a second so for the cowboys matthew. Just if you had one big takeaway fee maybe one and a half takeaways from last night. I wanna trade. For ezekiel elliott agree. Yeah because i think there's a lot of managers out there panicking. I saw a lot of panic on twitter. The thing about ezekiel elliott is. He played sixty three snaps. Tony pollard. play twenty nine. I think remember zack. Martin was out of this game right. It's one of if not the best defensive line and football dak prescott through fifty eight times in this game. Fifty eight like it. Just i think they might mccarthy and is coaching staff basically looked at says. We're not going to be able to. We're not going to be running up the middle we're gonna win on the edges and passing the ball and they feel like tony pollard. Maybe a better pass catcher or more effective in that scheme that they're using but honestly he was on the field a lot into the eye test field again at the box score does not do any justice and if you started ezekiel elliott like a couple of leagues. You're like all right. Let me see how. I can make this up on sunday. But i thought to the test. I thought he would good. Like i thought he looked slim. I thought he looked fast at that. He had the burst. He looked like zeke. He actually looked to me better than he did last year. I mean again. Just then he runs into three people you know and by the way the other thing is is that if blade darwin could block. Here's a touchdown. And i think the narrative on ezekiel elliott is a lot different walks into the end zone to play. Darwin hits that block and it was. Just i anyway. I think they're going to be a lot of fantasy managers that are freaked. Out and panicked about ezekiel elliott. And i'm here to tell you that's one of the best offenses in football zeke's gonna get fed. Yes anyone if you're watching this and you're in my league and you're league with me and you have ezekiel elliott. Make an offer. Dan you okay all good there so you know before we get to the bucks. A michael gallup left the game last night with an ankle injury. Any update on that. All we know is that. He's being reevaluated when they get back to Texas which is today on friday so expect an update later today. He was playing plenty again. This was an interesting game. Blow game to schedule gets decidedly easier for dallas. I mean it can't get any harder than the buccaneers defense which is just outstanding. So i think there is plenty of reasons to be optimistic about everything you saw from dallas quickly in two seconds or less dak prescott. Welcome back you. My friend are incredible the way if you were worried about his shoulder the fifty eight passes pretty much took that out of the way and everything i needed to see i saw last night. He got hit. He had to move. He's stepped up in the pocket. He was confident. Done by the way props to find your bell we. We look too hard time. But i just want to give some promises to find you about who throughout the entire. Preseason said i'm not worried about. I'm not worried about everyone else. Like he missed practice with a shoulder. Mri what are we doing too. I'm not worried about back. I'm not worrying about dak and one of the reasons. I had him. My number three quarterback in fantasy coming to this year is because when you find your bell tells me she's not worried i'm not worried luke miller who is the one who approach like a baseball injury moving onto the buccaneers. Tom brady had over. Twenty seven. fantasy points himself. This just in. Tom brady is still good. Really would have been thirty one fantasy points. He had an interception which was now..

"I know that they've added some pieces. Like josh palmer at wide receiver Could he be a yak guy shirt. I don't think mike williams necessarily a guy. I think he's downfield guy. Jamie talked about the washington defense. Not only is there front seven good. They added to their secondary. They've got william jackson a corner and i think he's a definite upgrade for what they've got land collins back as well so it's going to be tricky for herbert but i i know that he's come through tough match ups before and he's he's willing to sling it. This is an offense. It's going to revolve around him and he's going to try and complete a lot of passes and hope that some of his receiver shake free if he doesn't have cler though. I don't think you can feel quite as confident. Because i didn't games come without eker rusher. I dunno most of them did some of them definitely did but the way that the offense operated last year and remember to different offense. This year is that they were just trying to lull the defense and applying up a little bit and then used play action or have herbert move out of the pocket and just fireball deepen connect with it for forty plus yard. It's actually interesting. I think a lot of his best games did without equity and he was throwing the ball downfield war and then he got very conservative More conservative the the average depth of target or your intended yards lower later in the season and he played worse and that was also better. Defense to lombardy. Yeah and they ran the most place in the nfl last year. Anyway this more of a season long thing so let's call him a low star. Let's go to the chargers running back here Start plays if echo doesn't play jamie. What does that mean who. Who would you start if anyone against washington here. I mean jacksonville. Flex justin jackson jacksonville. Flex i. I just think there'd be a committee whatever extent you know whether it's jackson kelly because both will play or if they throw around in there also It just it just feels like it could be messy and like somebody says the wrong thing. The justin jackson at halftime Tweaks his ankle injury I would be know a little hesitant but clearly that'd be a nice opportunity there to trust any interest in pass catcher. That's not keenan allen so that'll be a tight end or mike williams. No not against us. Defense cook is a touchdown or bust tied and option behind tanya. N- higby behind. Jearl ever to okay starters at ryan fitzpatrick he has scored twenty or more fantasy points in eleven of his last thirteen starts..

"Nothing wrong with that right now. I think that's the most important point here and the draft part. But i think ninety nine point five percent of drafts probably already done by now with a couple of cliffhangers tonight before the game begins at eight o'clock and some people do draft after the thursday night game. It's viable. It's allowed in our espn system but have justin jackson on your mind as you think about the back end of your roster drafted austin. Maybe you have a piece of the end of your roster. You took us up in more than a late round. Flyer second quarterback tight end might be worth right away acting on grabbing just jackson. If you already have austin actor so find part of the reason why an actor was concerning to me was that all he did deal the hamstring injury. Last year didn't get the sense. It was gonna be something had to manage this year but one thing i have learned over the first two seasons of. Aj brown's career is spice factories. Very young he manages his body in the titan to this day. Do a very good job of this. Is that what happened with him. In the first participate practice participation report. This week i think it is again wednesday practice. We don't know exactly because we need to see what happens. Thursday and friday but he referenced it all of last year jake brown was dealing with a knee injury after. He had a bone bruise that he suffered early in the season. Titans were very very good about managing his workload giving him a day off during the week and he missed a couple of weeks but he ended up playing the rest of the season and then had arthroscopic surgery. Not on just the knee. That had the bone bruise but on his other knee as well. So arthroscopic surgery. Isn't nothing tells you there was something going on in his knees and they're probably just being mindful about the fact that he has had prior knee conditions and this is where teams really start to look at volume of work. How much work are they doing in a week. You know they have this week leading up to the games and it's an eighteen week season this year. I'm just not going to be surprised. If teams are using a lot of these days off for veterans to manage conditions that could potentially be chronic again watched the thursday and friday practice reports. Because we want to make sure this isn't a blow up. That's going to cost him some time. But i don't have any reason at this moment to believe that it is so for those that are just joining us for the first season. Your first of all. We're glad to have any new listeners. That might be aboard. Second of all friday is often the not the last ditch effort on injuries because he should watch fantasy football now on sunday mornings. "Yeah so it says here late round right so i mean i'm not gonna sit here and say tony pollard. And you know. He's going in about the tenth round. Alex madison's kinda fallen down a little bit a little bit later so thirteen trafficking get him late. He's good too. Those are the obvious ones but some guys going a little deeper right. Now are monterey stevenson. I don't know if he's going to have any standalone fantasy value early in the season. But you can get him pretty late and drafts. And something happens at damian harris potentially he'll have some value but again his values kind of rising since they traded sony michelle so we'll see where he lands And i think the this kinda ties into part two of this. This question which is devante booker right. I mean i've kind of been on saquon barkley this off season. You guys giving me a hard time about it. I've drafted him a lot. I'm very invested in him this year. But i'm also aware that he commits a week or two or be limited to some extent early on and if he does miss time devante booker. You would imagine what step into a role that should see him handle about seventeen touches a game so Poker is a guy you can get super late. He's on my radar barrington. Evans rashad penny. Justin jackson daime lasers a whole bunch of guys in that range but those are some my favorites am. I wouldn't eat every insurance back. Just the top. Jeez yeah this are the top ones. Come on come on. Let's move to the next question. Here just went comes from nathan orlando and buffalo. Who wants to know you have the fourth pick and you assumed christian. Mccaffrey dow cook and alvin. Kamara go ahead of him or ahead of that fourth pick. Who are you taking. Derrick henry is equal elliott daniel. Turn to you. They're cannery interesting. I'm taking derrick henry. And it's not really that close to me. I mean he's he's clear of number four to me over. Zeke is a five just the volume that he gets every single year. You never have to worry about that. You know these just lock Also mike pretty conservative with your projections. I would say generally was that a fair statement to say. And you've got derrick henry projected to have like seventeen hundred rushing yards and double digit touchdowns the dues just a monster. He's just money in the bank. It feels like every single year. So for me i take derrick henry. Over over zeke in. It's not that close. I think it's close. But i go derrick henry as well and you know the derrick henry volumes and volumes also incredible. It's just the derek. I did more touchdown. Upside in were rushing upside. But zeke not that far behind because he is far more involved pass catcher his offense. So let's move forward to the next question which comes from shoved ubi from nashua new hampshire. Who's the better value to vaunt. They williams trae sermon to rookies a second round. Pick monty williams through round. Pick and trae sermon. Mike which of those two players do you believe is the value. Yeah again in twelve team leagues over the past week. Or so you have william in the fourth round of sermon in the seven. So we're talking value. Obviously price matters. I would still go to monte williams and the reason is i think that he is a better shot to emerge as the feature back impact back. This guy was a almost a first round. Pick this year tons of talent love prospect and you have a denver. Offense is gonna lead on the run. I think he can take control. And be a top in fantasy asset sermon for me. you know. It's just hard whereas williams and melvin. Gordon are gonna share a lot of that workload. I think could pull ahead. I think sermon. Is you know. Kind of clearly the the backup early on it's gonna be the remastered show and he'll have some involvement get some touches but not standalone value whereas they think williams can have that right away so. I have not been on sermon this year. I think he needs help to jump onto the fantasy radar whereas williams. I think we'll have it pretty quickly. Feel the same way here and you talk about some of the factors that need to go and trace favor. It's not just that where he most rather gets. Injured stopped playing well. It's that other backs in the backfield. Stop playing well. Were get hurt as well. Jeff wilson is. I believe on pup to start the year. You could eventually come back so it could be. The trae sermon takes over for a few weeks. And the next thing though it's back to a split backfield whereas in denver already seen some signs. The team released royce freeman today. A former round pick so all of a sudden things are looking a little bit more up for our friend. Devante williams really get one of to north carolina running backs to be drafted this past year. Next question comes from damian. Barbaro i like malls rhode island. This is a good one Chemical thomas be top ten points per game wide receiver. Npr with winston. Ed quarterback for the year dangling. You get the first shot at this. So here's here's what's interesting to me. The idea of top ten points per game right. So it's not the you know. Michael thomas miss. Time isn't going to factor in here. The idea that jameis winston has six weeks with this offense to be able to kind of get things settled and have michael thomas. Come in and be the guy. Yeah i mean do. I think it's possible absolutely. He's got the skill set. Jameis winston is more than a more than adequate enough quarterback to be able to get him the ball with the volume that he needs to have whether or not it happens. I'm not sure but like does it. Does it have the possibility absolutely I would. I would bet it doesn't happen but it absolutely could. Is that fair to say. Yeah i would say i. I think it's possible. I mean he's a. He's michael thomas right and james woonton is just willing dealing enough and sometimes we have recently bias. Regret exactly how things played out but drew brees was not particularly effective last year as a player. Two years ago he wasn't peak drew brees but he also wasn't necessarily quite he certainly far from wash so it's not always dominant wide receiver. Seasons are not particularly are not always predicated upon dominant quarterback play as well calvin. John can attest to that field. Yates certainly attest to that. So i think it's possible. It's probably unlikely. But i think it's possible a lukewarm way of describing it so we've talked about this ss that like his. His value is dipping his. Adp seems to be dropping. So you're probably like. I think there's less risk with drafting michael thomas than some might suspect. I would ask the next question in a minute. I i believe you have some words for some friends. I'm going to jump in real quick. Hey football fans.

"Often fact i started business apps on hostgator you did. That's a fact. The average should the demand hostgator I still use hostgator to For a number of things Okay so question is what is a business that someone could easily create on hostgator really anything within six months. Give me an idea of something. That's been sold. that could be on. Hostgator a niche sas companies and company. Okay very niche like I'm trying to think of one that was interesting yesterday. But like my favorite recent one was It was doing about two hundred and fifty thousand year. A lot of it was mainly profit. All it did was removed You know the background images of like by took a screen shot of. I just want you. Yes it just did that. And that is so simple So i think the biggest thing mike requires down for me is opened my eyes. Like there's a lot of people like go upmarket like go. Venture backed like those deals are really complicated. Close who's sony. Shareholders involve them. We'll be looking at the market over time but man like the the long tail of just you know. I think the small business economy is going to start moving towards it's gonna be online and digital profitable so just like just look at a company with like a feature that everyone loves and just bill daffy and like what i want to come up with an even simpler idea sas is maybe a little bit further ahead. What about this. I just saw justin jackson talk about this. The the guy who runs a podcasting company. I'm looking at you. your video. Looks frigging phenomenal right. You got the blurry background. Your audio sound. Good because you got the microphone. Great setup. it's a pain in the ass to put together. Justin jackson said how about if somebody just starts a service. Where for two hundred bucks. They log in with someone else on zoom they look at their setup and then they give them advice on what to buy maybe they even pick it with them and then when the stuff comes i would suggest you do a follow up where you set up with them so it all looks really good and you can do the whole thing remote. I paid for people my office to do that. I'm now working from home but I paid for people in the office. It was totally worth. How's that for business. And then so it could be something that's sold afterwards. You start creating these packages on the site where people who wanted can by the packages set it up themselves or by the packages and do zoom setup where someone else shows them how to do it and businesses one of the things that i think they should do. Yes they should pay for their internet access for their team. But if they're gonna go all zoom they should pay for good zoom setup. How's that for business andrew. That's actually exactly how. I set all my somebody who does with you remotely right. Yeah he and my house installed everything He blogs into my computer need help If anyone listening to this podcast and reference. I got one. He is the man Bs got like we can move into like ecommerce companies. Like i see stuff like where they're like drawing cartoons of your family and they're making millions of dollars really yeah like simpson cartoons like bow windows really fun. You saw that a micro choir. Somebody who's just drawing simpson cartoons of people's families that seems like a five or task not a whole big with the website but they're really high quality and lanky frames on like crab she has a process to it There's there's a thousand plus businesses live on. Mike requires so. I probably got to do a better job at like memorizing them. But like this is so much There's a business for everyone if you just put it this way if you like. If you like crypto if you like men's leather boots if you'd like simpson cartoons leising business out there. That's already making money that you can buy and then just focus on that. Yeah it's it's a start a store lady. You think if i if i wanted to add to mixer another revenue stream you know my audience. You know my session. What's good business from micro acquire to consider there's been a few were You know. I don't i don't want to bug you too much. But there's view like because i know Your big outdoorsy guy and The camp there's been a few businesses revolves around matt great. Well i think it should be more connected to mixer. Gee i it's true that i do. I have fallen love with camping. And i got a little like into that but if i were to go to micro and find something. That's more related to mixture. Gee what would you suggest so first thing that comes to mind is probably a newsletter so there's a large marquee newsletter on micro right now There's several communities micro where you could you know. Say this is a mixture g. community Mostly entrepreneurs and startups. That could be good. add on Or just like a product they just give away for free as a lead generation tool You're saying by one of those lead generation tool people sign up. They use the tool. And then i tell them about mickey and now they're in the mix raju world. Yeah one thing. I did for mike requires. I bought Coming jim charge just as simple billing system. Stripe striped kind of built something similar. But i needed a billing system. I wanted to really really symbol and so i just bought it and Now has like a thing like five thousand users and dumb as completely free. I made in charge. Charge chimp charts. Which tim charge. It's basically like ben malphrus stripe so you can extract any at this. These easy payment links is the easiest way to set a payments within stripe. "It may be a benefit because they're gonna be chasing points and he's going to be maybe on the field a little bit more than the other two guys who may split rushing down work so if there is a reason to hope for david johnson. It could be that as pass catching role increases in david. Kalyan the coaching staff there. They lean on their running backs a little bit more in the passing game. Okay jonathan jones of cbs. Sports thinks that justin jackson has a stranglehold on the number two running back job for the chargers quinton clinton nelson and carson wentz trending in the right direction. They could be ready for week. One so okay. We are. We back jonathan taylor back closer to the top five now or redrafting carson wentz and we drafting quinta nelson and offensive line leagues. We reacted strongly to the initial news that they could miss. Was it five to twelve weeks. Well i think one thing that was a little concerning piggybacking off of this news. Was jim irsay the owner saying they're not going to put on the field until he's a hundred percent that's not but still but still. It's looking like the shorter of the time for sure it's not. It's not october now september. Yeah i think the key thing. Though is they'll what i was reading is. They'll be able to get on the field for the first time. Monday and tuesday of this week pretty much or early this week with being two weeks removed from surgery from what i understand. That was like kind of the timetable where they can start working out. And i think we probably won't know until then see how they start reacting to this one. One other thing that i did read was apparently the left tackle situation. There has been brutal in training. Camp with eric fisher recovering from that achilles tear. And so if nelson's not available for week one and fisher who has a chance for week one but it's not clear yet that could be a pretty bad offensive line to start the season. Kelley been banged up to their senators. So he's got like an. It's so what does this mean for jonathan taylor though. Is he still kind of toward the back. End of the first round. Is he in the middle. In the middle of the first round non pbr. He's in the conversation P p r. I think he's back into the first round Beginning of the second depending on how many receivers anybody decide kelsey going in the first round I think though the fact that it is on the shorter end of the Rehab schedule a recovery schedule and hopefully the left tackle situation is is figured out. But that's more of a passing situation than it is a rushing situation. You know because of nelson kelly or right Line should be amazing I would make offers for.

"I think all those things line up for chase down daniel to win that second string quarterback job for the chargers. Yes so the obvious is the chargers. Starters justin herbert. And i happen to agree with you. I think chase daniel is most likely the backup and those are pretty much locked in you know. They signed annual to one year deal but if east and stick can outperform daniel. You can win that cuba to spot. It's not like they're married to him at all. They he only signed for over a million dollars. He's thirty five. He's credible obviously but eastern sticking his first two years hasn't done enough to really expect him to leapfrog a guy like chase daniel and one of the points that you made that i was gonna make is that e stick doesn't really have a wrinkle that you would want from a backup quarterback you know there's a lot of when of course the last year there. Was that package that anthony. Lynn decided to run where eastern stick had a designed run and then a pass play and it was just in herbert. Could do that and better. We saw just you know isa stick a yard. Maybe he got tackled image. And so you know. It's not like eastern steak. Has the speed over justin herbert or as another wrinkle that justin. Herbert doesn't have in his game. So having a veteran guy like chase daniel as your backup makes the most sense again. We've talked about this multiple times. I know we've been way for a while. But keeping quarterbacks does not make any sense unless you have an absolute gem as your third quarterback that can offer something extra extra special and the chargers do not have that so. I would not like them to keep three quarterbacks i think is probably going to be just a herbert chase daniel like yeah i think the other thing too with the with daniel. I'm sorry east. Stick is when the chargers. I drafted him. There is an instant comparison detail hill with new orleans because they have similar basically the same height. They're kind of the same weight. They're both athletic and it was like. Oh he can play special teams. He can do this. He can do that. He gives all these options. Well unless there's a complete change in philosophy and a complete change in the way that brandon staley views eastern stick. I think it's unlikely you see a guy like him. On special teams in fact he hasn't had any special teams play at all with the team So far this camp so it doesn't seem like that's something that's in the offing. And i just think that you know tastes them. Hill is a completely different animal indecent stickers. They may be the same height and weight but take some hills a much better athlete. He's just thicker and stronger and he can play more positions. You're not gonna stick into play titan. No so there's just no wrinkle their and everything he does just her does better. So there's no value in putting him in the game on a one off package and taking justin herbert off the field and i think you look at a guy who you really do have to scale the offense back most likely in order for him to be remotely effective in the event. That herbert gets hurt. I just think you can stick daniel. He can run the offense efficiently without hurting you. Keep you in games and give the defense a chance to win games. And i'm not sure eastern stick offers that and then you had the experience the ability to help. Justin herbert develop. I just think it's a no brainer. I think it'd be very difficult for eastern stick to win that backup quarterback job this this this regime this coaching staff. I should say didn't draft him so there's emotional ties to him to begin with no not at all. So let's move down to running backs and there are five on the lifts in camp. It is often heckler. Justin jackson joshua kelly the rookie. Larry roundtree in darius bradwell. Now we know necklace rb one. He should have an expanded role in the bharti's offense. We saw video recently with brandon. Staley say man. I love you in the open field on the screen passes. So you're going to see a lot of boss and probably some big chunk yards from austin getting the ball in his hands in the passing. Game of course. Justin jackson and jesuit. Kelly are going to compete for that rb to roll. But we'll probably split carries depending on the hot hand depending what they need and also jackson got cleared to go back on the field. So he's ready to go now. These six round pick larry. Roundtree is a short yardage power back. We talked about the draft. He can grind out tough yards. Where down a defense. He looked pretty good in college doing that. And he displays some great contact balance of power. So the question is now. Who's going to be that short yardage back because a guy we're going to be talking about a little bit is gave neighbors. Who was guy who was the short yardage back last year for the chargers. And if you have both guys it could be redundant. But then the last guy dearest bradwell. We saw him play in two games last season. You didn't get a kerry. He's kind of a camp body right now. He could make his way on the practice squad because of his familiarity with a team but right. Now there's probably four guys competing for spots. And larry rowntree's got gotta kind of stand out now with A guy like abe neighbors. While i think neighbors is gonna fill a different role for the chargers so i the fact that they used the draft pick on rowntree. I think suggests that he probably has the inside track making the roster And i think what you're looking. I've seen a lot of people for dick joshua. Kelly might not make the roster. They did just use a fourth pick on him last year. even though it wasn't the current coaching stops. There's no ties there. I don't think kelly is the one on the cutting board personally. I think justin jackson's probably on the outside looking right now. You're talking about a guy who while he is explosive and shifty he can make people missing the open field and he has had flashes of being very exciting he also guy who quite honestly is never healthy and he already missed the first couple of days camp this year due to kobe restrictions. So i think he's going to have to really stand out show he's durable and can stay healthy and really earn the running back three job which i think is gonna come down to him and and Lay rowntree joshua kelly's probably rb to just by virtue of the fact that he was. He's a year removed from being a fourth round pick and he did show some flashes last year even though he got buried by the previous coaching staff towards the middle of the season. So i think more than likely you're probably looking at exeter Joshua kelly lay rowntree being the three backs that make the team. Out of camp with justin jackson entering. I think he's entering his fourth season right or is it his third season forth. I think it's this season. His contract is up at the end of the year anyway and he really hasn't done much on special teams or on offense consistently to stick so i think he's gonna he's the guy who's probably on the outside looking in really has to have an extremely good camp to hang onto a roster spot this season that is interesting. I haven't heard that haven't heard that take and i. I don't know if i agree. I think just jackson's in. But i i get your point. I mean the guy hasn't been healthy and it's hard to kind of make a case for a guy that is shown in bits and spurts that he's good but just can't get on the field so let's go ahead and move on to the guy that you think has an expanded role. Let's talk about gabe neighbors so neighbors. I've seen some chatter about him. He's been primary fullback in camp this year and it seems like brandon's daily really likes him to help set up the play action and the rollout game for justin herbert. So i think it's less about being a short yardage guy and more about helping to really expand the play action game for them to really sell heavy packages. Gay people load the box and give her an opportunity to roll out and make big plays with his legs with his arm on play action..

Can't you know even as early man. I got a big old juggle water right here. You have ten the in ten minutes when you leave us. You can drink dak. Prescott has a strange older. This is obviously big news so you were just talking about. Cd-rom making the case for him. Are you at the point where you're downgrading anyone in the in the dallas passing game. Also there left tackle. Tyron smith has elbow tendinitis as he will. Try to play a full season for the first time in six years or dave left. Oh sorry rich you do not get the time off here. We're calling calling you in david. Internet issue. We'll get him back all right. So are you downgrading anybody in the dow passing game as of right now now yet. I saw a lot of the reports from the the medical people that i follow on twitter. said that as of right now. This is just a couple week injuries. Fear of a couple of weeks injury. This is the time to have it. But you know something to monitor. Just like mario foot why you would wanna monitor these things through the end camp and honestly the top five quarterbacks are top six or so tight if you wanted to shuffle. Any of those guys based on just anything minor. I think that that's fine too. I think those guys are all really tightly packed. Who six for you wilson. Okay we'll fuller left practice with an injury. I'm sure we're shocked. Jj wise on the pup list with a sore hamstring ryan. Okay ron rivera. Said that ryan fitzpatrick and taylor. Heineke are competing for the starting job. Do you believe that. no. I don't believe that But it's fine for him to say that right now I would say they'll if you're into qbc reflects leaks Heinecke is not a bad dude to throw it of your bench. I mean it's not like ryan patrick is not capable of self sabotage here. So we've seen heineke kind. He offers a little bit with his legs as well. So he's not a bad guy. Not forget about those types of formats justin jackson for the chargers is off the reserve covert list. So we he definitely needs a big camp- kenyan drake is on the non football injury list. They have a lot of injuries at running back right now. Josh jacobs though is healthy and giants left guard shane..

"It was the best quarterback nick draft last year. And and i'll be the first. I was the senior bowl. i interviewed justin herbert. He's really impressive. I walked away thinking look mentally. Sky is not gonna have any issues the questions. Just gonna be kenny on the field. We'll translate never know how. It's gonna go borough i think's going to be really good too but if if i take a guy that class right now it's i don't think the zinc question is he top during the afc mahomes right now is number one. I mean arguable. Yeah allen would be my number two. But after that i'll you could start to make your case like it. Lamar jackson is it. Herbert obviously some. That depends on the style quarterback you like is it tannehill. Who i think's underrated. I can't go through with mayfield. I would take herbert over mayfield right now. I think got a quarterback than baker. Mayfield is so i like it. Also herbert's got like sneaky athleticism. Tell him you know. He's he's not he's not going to running for one thousand yards. It's not like somewhere to mahomes in that regard. If you need seventy can go get seven. I think i think he's got a shot to do it. I really do. And i. You know it's already been talked about the offensive line. Being rebuilt is the biggest reason. I'm high on the chargers team. What every off season. it always seems like the chargers. And it's like something happens. Usually the last couple of years. It's been injuries right. This offensive line. Slater's an ice pick you bring in filer. Who's whose equality guard. Lindley is one of my favorite signs of the entire off season. You get that center. Who's going to help herbert along. I really like my biggest question. What's charges to coaches. Because you just don't know i mean stale. He's never been a head coach. he's a young guy doesn't have a lot of experience. That could be a good thing. That could be a really good thing. But it's just. That is the biggest unknown that i have but i think herbert yeah. I actually think you will be three quarterback in the afc. The most important thing for me is a graduate from the university of iowa. Gentlemen but i'm also huge north. Western fan Justin jackson going to make the team. Because that's my guy. I i sorry. I have a weird thing with justin like. He's just so inconsistent. He can't stay on the field. And then bring in. Larry roundtree from missouri this year and having joshua kelly from ucla like it is a. It's a crowded little backfield back there. He is a stud like when he's available in on the field. He's a stud. So it's the it's the james thing like. Can you be on the field like if you can be on the field. He's going to be is gonna be a problem. Yeah i i think we. I think there's going to be a rotation as far as running back goes off necklace. Obviously going to be the number one guy. But i think justin jackson. We'll definitely get into that..

Fantasy football 2020: Your draft kit for the upcoming season
"Okay. So we've got up to ten draft tips for you. Get. One Draft. At least two software why don't you Sunday? You still. People's draft status draft number one that is so bad. Let's let me get like the trending players that are either moving up or moving down for you right now last week we talked Damien Harrison Bryce love There are any other players right now that you WANNA spotlight don't don't look at ADP it's outdated these guys are higher or lower. Well I'll start with Bryce love because there's report from a guy that I trust it works for the Athletes Ben Stanbic he's played in some fancy leagues with me before he's. A season fantasy player. He says that it's not a lock that Bryce love will be on the active roster every week if they only carry three running backs because they'll go with Peterson, the goal Gibson in the goes jd mckissick over Bryce love, which is a little bit surprised to read that. So he's probably somebody that has to be trending down One guy that I'm very excited about I've said this time and time again but the reporters continue to glowing is Joshua Kelly you know he's the guy that I don't want to say that I plant my flag with him but he's somebody that I'm going to have a Lotta shares off I. Already have a lot of shares of him loud drafts coming up over the next two weeks and anybody that asked me, who's the sleeper guy that you are highly recommending this is the one because I do think he's going to be the backup to US nickel or the second guy to us neck ler and. He may not have the job over Justin. Jackson now he will have the dob over Justin Jackson by the end of the season. This is the guy that I want on all of my fantasy teams. So would you take Josh Kelley ahead of Bryce love I haven't okay. Would you take Josh Kelley head of Chase Edmunds. See. So that's the the interesting part of it. That's where you have to play the draft. So as the hype continues, maybe you have to take Josh Kelley headed Jason's I haven't had to do that yet. So if it comes down to those are the only two running backs available. Then, I'll probably take Josh Kelley over Jason, but you know if chase Edmunds becomes the guy for the Arizona. Backfield, he's probably going to be better than Josh Kelley unless neck alerts.

Chargers, Melvin Gordon And Ten Million Dollars discussed on SportsCenter AllNight
"Time Joseon adders are reporting the agent for Chargers running back Melvin Gordon has requested a trade because charges are not backing off their offer of ten million per season which represents a roughly twice the salary schedule to make in the final year of his rookie deal they remain at a record you know not wanting to report because he feels like he's valuation is higher than ten million when you have to put that in the context knowing that Todd Gurley right now is what at fourteen point three lay beyond del thirteen one David Johnson at thirteen million my understanding is that the comp that in being out there right now is that David Johnson and Melvin Gordon are similar in terms of how they should be paid and they are definitely still at a gap between those numbers and so right now he's going to stay out until the situation gets resolved nice of Gordon toll charges that if he does not receive a new deal that's acceptable obviously he'll sit out demanded trade he's followed through on both threats Louis Riddick Damien woody Chris Mortensen with insight on how this plays out in if Gordon has any leverage in this hold out he doesn't have the leverage because the charges obviously feels so his replacements is number two or number three players like Austin Meckler Justin Jackson will give them enough of a of a level of production a percentage of production may not equal what number will give them enough to where they have enough other weapons on the field to make up the difference and they're just going to go with the you know one year at a time type of philosophy and if he doesn't like it then they're gonna trade I think he's out on the football team before the regular season starts and hopefully he can find that one suitor who not only is willing to pay a high price to get him but is also willing to pay him long term which is what he's after after lands a former running back and running back coach and the one thing I know by if the land he's very confident that he can find another running back you mention it already the fact that Philip rivers in the last year for the of Joey Bosa is coming up they have players in the pipeline so to think that Melvin Gordon's going to get you know the levy on bail early heard Todd Gurley absolute because are guaranteed a lot of people looking to toggle the contract and is like wool we don't want any part of that so okay Melvin Gordon is in a situation where he's not gonna get paid by the Los Angeles Chargers and more likely he's going to be sued no with another team actually ten million dollars is the charges off and that's kind of where the value him and they do have other contracts to get done and they're not a cash rich team we've established that for different reasons that without getting into details Melvin Gordon's only played one full season out of a source for any is a good back is he an elite back you can argue one way or the other but the bottom line is the charges are going to get permission for Bilbo is represented to go get a trade they want to control the situation he's not levy on bills he has a contract levy on bill did not have a contract last year so it's not a similar situation ten million dollars is the charges off and that's kind of where the value him and they do have other contracts to get done and they're not a cash rich team we've established that for different reasons that without getting into details but Melvin Gordon's only played one full season of the source for any is a good back is he in the league back you can argue one way or the other but the bottom line is the charges are going to get permission for Bilbo is represented to go get a trade they want to control the situation he's not levy on bills he has a contract levy on bill did not have a contract last year so it's not a similar situation ultimately I think the charges feeling and we talked about this yesterday and make your Damian Moore and and the lens perspective is they do fill like if necessary if gore insanity assigned eventually then you can put them on the market as a team it is the one with the agent do the shopping Eric Williams covers the Chargers for ESPN provided this take on why the charger should find a resolution with Gordon if they have aspirations to make a run in the playoffs he was on Spain and company yeah I mean it's basically a stand off at this point you know Gordon wants to be paid amongst the highest running backs normally he thinks his his statistics over the last couple years point to that he should be pay you know like David Johnson girly let me del the Chargers obviously disagree on that date they are pricey them again according to reports and and I believe they're accurate about ten million per year you mean another structure the contract how much of that is guaranteed how much that is fully guaranteed when he would receive that type of money so those are things that are going on in terms of negotiations to try to get Melvin in the camp I did the things that are promising if both sides want to get a deal done Melvin Gordon wants to play for the charge the Chargers want Melvin Gordon the place so you would think at some point there there would be a compromise that could be made to get Mel in the camp because he remains to be seen you know Melvins representation that told the Chargers that you know that they would demand a trade at the contract demands aren't aren't made the charges are willing to trade him they basically haven't control for the next two to three years due to make five point six million in the following years rookie deal and they get franchise in another couple years no but it is important in terms of where the charge you want to go in the post season they can win games without knowing the crew that last year they want **** when no one was injured the issue is is can they want simple without melon and I think the answer probably is no and so I think that does give me a little bit of leverage yeah well he might want to look Gordon at levy on bell scenario the now jets running back doesn't second guess himself for sitting out last season a decision that cost them fourteen million in salary he did say you wish you could have told fantasy owners some type of way to not draft him or pick him never made it on the field

Zeke Update
"Be N._F._l.. Teams are in training camp but that doesn't mean every player is we've got hold doubts in key spots Saints Michael Thomas Chargers Melvin Gordon who else Yana can gakugei Jacksonville Trent Williams in Washington and of course Ezekiel Elliott in Dallas the big one big name that everyone's watching out there in oxnard California all guys that <hes> are heading into either the final year of their deal or wants some sort of adjustment on their contract before camp or the season starts so we gotta go through all these the person who helps us make sense of all this stuff is our own Adam schefter so Adam Una make this pretty simple. I will give you a name and you tell us the latest on that player. Start with Ezekiel Elliott of of the cowboys will Zeke Elliott has not shown up in Oxnard California side of the Dallas Cowboys training camp and they're going through physical today. They are basically supposed to be attending a team meeting and there's no sign of Zeke right now which tells you soup that it looks like at the very least Zeke Watch is underway and it certainly feels like this is going to be a hold out while the two sides tried to see if they can come up with a new deal for Zeke Elliott but no signs of him California this yet and no signs as of November by the chargers camp right now then this one is going to go on for a while the two sides basically have their own stances. There have differing pains. Nobody Gordon's value. I don't see this getting south anytime this summer I I think this one looks like it has a real chance to go into the regular season. It's time for Austin Ecuador and Justin Jackson and no Michael Thomas in New Orleans still you take the reading receiver off that team. The saints have offered to make them the highest a wide receiver receiver in football. It sounds like he wants to get to a very high threshold north of twenty million dollars a year. We'll see what they can get there where the saints a willing to budge but Michael Thomas wants to become not just a highest eight wide receiver in football but the highest paid wide receiver football by a long shot right now while we wait for Julio Jones deal to potentially come in later this summer Adam sit tight we we'll come back to you as as needed. We're going to go back and talk about Ezekiel Elliott though how important is even to the cowboys he's led the N._F._l.. Rushing yards per game in each of his first three seasons the only other players to do that in the ninety nine year history of the N._F._l.. or Jim Brown and Earl Campbell perhaps you've heard of them. Both of those guys are in the hall of fame name safe to say that few running backs have ever had a better start to their careers then has Ezekiel Elliott
