It's for a lot of people who are homeless or poor to come in because You can have sleep. You can probably crisps under the desk. You can read a book too. You can meet the magazines there and just have a look out and be within the confines and how important libraries are and yet how unrepresented they are and it's a wonderful film. It's great homeless. People come into the library every day but there is a point where they say enough is enough. People are dying on the streets because certain Cincinnati Cincinnati and. It's freezing outside doing of trauma drama. Okay bought it. Feels like it's based on a real story so good and again. It's the morally. There it's grey. There is no great guy in this new by guy. "Hotel story sixty six because play about to begin Jack Nixon Justin Hawkins with you the example ball to start the second half rice billiard Yvonne Johnny mechanics and troubling queen to start for the Yankees I guess have a nice sport in the first half offensively front you find out they could say a ride lay the ball goes to rice for Johnny slammed yeah sorry about that it's all right but it is listed in now is the Scheck move right there by John two headed the bone crusher from against the seal is broken exit forty four thirty three Bruce take the ball right away the ball goes to Giles Giles way with three fouls crosscourt pass to does with download to Whitfield Whitfield it's a three they got the ball down loaded with feel the quarterly connects for three and I was actually pretty good ball movement right there forty four thirty six Aggies lead queen in the right corner for rice price try to get inside Yvonne keep tried its bald faced lie right to Yvonne spins around Giles in his side reverse later good for you the bond was seven forty six thirty six it records the kissing no it is it is three is not good rebound right down by Jabbar rice and he's come back eggs take the ball frontcourt aside for queens based I left we bonded by back to Johnny Johnny around does with still wants to bustled up call for traveling what what able the eggs get that's where the in the first half hour I thought it was good defense very good defense and they were able to get out and run a little bit but maybe not necessarily like a traditional fast break where you're right past lay up but like they were able to create a some numbers with the a good push in the defense trailer notes are in fact court McKissick played with three fouls dries baseline left shoots over Yvonne and hits so McKissick scores his second basket of the game file problems the first half Aggies up forty six thirty eight Gilliard takes the ball left the Labour versa right side the rice a pie by corporate greed baseline likely line and easy five brings it inside he is held and the ruse of their first foul of the second half I'll call on just sialic Alec is his second and the first of the ruse in the second half get you to put the ball bounce right at the basket the ruse of get the eggs from going up temple much in this first at the age of shot well it's been out of a half court set they slide right it's we can't against those two is left with their own tougher Gilliard your your in the right corner of expected Jodie Jodie let the let the rice Basil I live for you Ron and is Yvonne spends he is held in file by Alec again senior school in the freshman there aliki true freshman now has three files into the last minute trying to guard senior Yvonne Eldridge click save in the bond assist he's getting a good position on every time and then there's nothing that alley could do with the bond down nearly all hit all of his all of his experience Alex takes a seat about sloppy queen lays a so the Aggies score the inbounds pass between forty eight thirty eight and usually Alex on the bed she's replaced by Zion Williams David white the ruse center that play today's he's on the base of the protocol for a good cause the three point shot not good for Giles cleared by mechanics back to rice I had to Aggies up forty eight thirty eight you're in the left corner cut off by heart it was best to a broad based I left the fans still has the ball these outside for rice rice fix the three drive puts up a two point or not good me about it but we can't get control of the recovered by McKissick McKissick on the drive is is passed away and still I'm against any good defense to play by the Yankees against brings the eggs back did you buy rice rice let the lane feeds back outside of the cats and I can't keep alive leveling the rice rice labs Yvonne inciting violence to work on Giles sand is he's been sees is that what that officer fall called Yvonne and eighty three it's really question the question now with you know for travel there may be because he held them I could I was kind of blacked out I could see the whole play but I did see a charge there well it is true that sometimes Justin and I see things with our hearts instead of our eyes right yeah you fans of the in the building and I think Chris Jans well for what whatever they were using sought the second way right Aggie short pressure now is he by takes a seat with three files is replaced by CJ Bobbitt and now we'll have a conference between official Dan Dorian official rob Krueger and we have a read a replay hello Billy Donlin the ruse head coach will talk with then I guess we're ready to go not sure what that was all about but the rooms have the ball and Williams brings back for Kansas city Williams the left for pizza McKissick their back to what field would fill the pie the left side about the best bass line taken away by the Aggies again a good steel by Bob the pastor but can't get it back to Bob Bob the jolly on the right side with the circles to rice rice did CJ Bob it looks inside respect arise between the circles lots of lane for queen now too Evan Gilliard get you to rice top of the circle takes it left the lane L. the right corner for queen queen's three not good rebound cleared by Kansas city can check him gave brings it back now to side Williams eight other collision blocking file called as the eighties tried to draw the charge could not at seven million excuse and again the Aggie fans react unfavorably recall that is the your third foul now should you cannot look upon replacing what made the official explaining two of Christianity was by the call the cris Jan so go your taxes he's a white said but now you're gonna get your details three files upon placing Johnny mechanics so McNair who is played and I think every game but just is not always had a lot of minutes is a true is a redshirt freshman inbounds pass the Williams and it's a quick jumper and they and they got they got him in a bad match up there medially they drove right out of exit forty eight forty a drive late in the clear through his hands and out of bounds and now a better time I this is far scoreboard where nobody beats asus borrow deal the back to public.

"One hundred on ninety nine five Jack Dickson limit Justin Hawkins so with you this afternoon here in the Pan Am center all key a Kansas city ruse smaller than we expected is Stephen white the young man that the coach Jansen like talk about because of a concussion protocol but I see a lot of games for a baby a star player of the big players out gives rise to the occasion that you shouldn't assume anything with white not being here they definitely can instill they have to come out they see really attack the basket take advantage of the in there but they have we are all with the best players now okay guys step up they're going to live in a game of this magnitude of Casey bill of rights this could be their year they know that they're going to so everybody the step up that one thing that I think might be more than that preclusion is always important but because of that the aggressive way to Kansas city plays a generally tend to to to to send more people and if that's the case the eggs have got to be a lot sharper today than they have been leading up to today yeah they definitely are you know because this talk about it last name in the post game in a you know we commented on Johnny's free throw shooting hello guys are shooting the ball better they've been in the gym they've been working so hopefully tonight it is and it's not close we go down I use the word there throwback jerseys use of the ones that will be all our for auction these are from the nineteen eighty two eighty three season they have stayed with them to Mexico in the online price is that these sold at auction is under way online if you'd like jerseys sign up record saying Johnny McCance Jabbar rice traveling between an inbound Evan billiard are the starters for the Aggies Yvonne jobs at center with McKissick at the ball goes back to the Aggies Gilliard near you started off black plate is active in the Pan Am center get your hands off the queen when the rice is a city in a man to man defense double circle the Yvonne Yvonne hold in the Balkans to his left gets the ball the rice rice going to is right he's the cancer cancer through the website the seal is broken eighty three Kansas city with the confidence that Johnny is the plan with lately is we haven't seen it catches you right there John is going to have a good season this year yes but in front court picked up my mechanics brings the ball back out on top for hard that hard it dries let's delay no fees back the double the McKissick right side for Whitfield in the right corner the ball goes to because it drives away with a ten foot of scores you know it was it was on make a comment on Johnny's three point you in a moment the cancer drug court right lane to queen baseline right for your body vibrated inside he's followed as he takes the ball to who and if I will get two free throws files inside on by Jordan Giles when Johnny would shoot the three babies freshman sophomore year was like a novelty and now it's just by the office so it definitely is he's he's he's really looking like honey three you know he's you know like throw brown show Williams but he's definitely not shy to take now is okay first reader was good from Yvonne.

"Your peril so glad you could join us see when joining us in studio as well and by the way coming up here at the bottom of the hour there are new laws that apparently are going to be put into place to while they're being proposed in Wisconsin and it is if you harass an official a high school referee a middle school referee could be soccer could be that's well what have you if you harassing officially you could get hit with the jail time or up to a ten thousand dollar fine under this new proposed Wisconsin bill and other god is gonna be joining us at the bottom of the hours Brian Barlow he runs the website stop ref abuse dot com so this is an interesting billing as a of a long time twenty year high school basketball official myself I agree with this bill and I have a lot of opinions on it so we will get to Brian coming up at the bottom of the hour just here in a few minutes we'll be joined by former S. N. L. actor and headlining comedian he's gonna be a Jimmy Kimmel's comedy club Chris content he's gonna be joining us here in just a couple minutes as well we've been going over everything that is taking place today so far as far as this impeachment is concerned in yes president Donald Trump is going to be in PH it's going to be happening this afternoon the final vote will take place at three thirty our time so you got a lot of politicians are gonna be hanging out there in the chambers for very long time that's six thirty on the east coast so they're they're not all tentative time of course this is not some that you know we're gonna go down exactly at three thirty so we will find out it is certainly it is certainly a long day that is for sure for them but I think rightfully so there's no question about it he's gonna be impeached but it will not pass through the Senate also from a sports nation on a definite by the way that's not a hundred percent Brian I I would say I mean it's going to be able to hide it looks very likely but it's not it's a stretch it I'll go minus it sixteen million okay Lyster city with the premier league suffer people have realized that so for people who have no idea what that means it means you have to risk sixteen million dollars to one hundred dollars that's what judges are yes listen the reason why I say there's no chance of that happening is because there's no chance that some of these Republicans actually have a backbone and are going to do the right thing that is the reason why I say that also from a sports perspective the situation has been muddied enough with the just with the way the anti impeachment how are things been handled the fact that you can kind of discern that all maybe was an appropriate but it wasn't necessarily impeachable well that's up for debate I don't know if I would technically agree with that but certainly my problem is not with that argument you just made my problem is with the Republicans out there that are not agreeing it at the very least that what he did was inappropriate was beneath the presidency that was wrong but I want to move on here real quickly we have a pretty cool sports week here in Las Vegas now you wanna be basketball has not played a home in a long time the reason for that has to do with the national finals rodeo imagine if you walk into the Thomas and Mack center to it's gonna smell like Lenore it's not gonna smell very good as a small like fertilizer it's because it's been a lot of horses and different animals hang around there but tell you one of the is back in action tonight at the Thomas Mack center the playing against not a very good Pacific team are you one of these favored by four points if you want to talk about if you listen to Jerry turned a favor by four point yes if I raise if I said the jury if I said to Jerry Tarkanian in the late great Jerry Tarkanian who he is he's the one who is responsible for national championship of course and the many players that the great players we brought in but that was the true Runnin rebels that's where we got the run around if I told him that the over under on a you one of the basketball game was one twenty two he would be rolling over in his grave right now that is the total on the game tonight they're saying that the game could be in the fifties that is just so gross I wanna vomit so this year it's it's you and all the soldering rebels I mean by the way the only be four point favorites against the bottom of the stroke prince team right if you're if you don't talk that you know he's in the favor by four again specific team without Michael Ole Condi exactly right be shocked yeah in a call you did you go to Pacific to the running back if he did make no mistake about Pacific has a pretty good wins in Los record but you know that I think the best one was against UC Irvine they don't have any signature wins or not a good basketball team by the way if if memory serves me right Justin Hawkins former rebels on the coaching staff there so be cool to see him in town but the point is our show us yeah yeah he has a he's a good good do it the point I'm trying to make is this get you one of the basketball they're just not very good TV also burger the team he has put together and and some of it not as fault I'm not gonna put all the responsibility on him that is your one but when you are the highest paid coach in the mountain west conference and the bookies are saying that you're going to struggle to be a very bad Pacific team at home at the Thomas Mack center something is not right if this was the lan Krueger days they'd be favored absolutely by double digits the total would be one twenty two this is a concern there is a chance that they can lose this game tonight you're going to watch the U. N. L. V. strolling rebels play Pacific bright absolutely not yeah by the way that that leads into a right here Brian okay U. N. L. V. taking on this effect on the same night there have to be a couple the college baseball games into Kentucky is playing Utah has a better team than people make them out to be but Kentucky obviously a very good national rank and the highest paid coach I just had the highest paid coach in about muscle guess what in town tonight the highest paid coach in the country John Calipari's in town it it is worth every penny yeah hi is code state employee in in the country I'd like to just under ten million dollars I think it's actually Davos Winnie is it really I think it I think I was on a low shade over ten I was thinking even even a statement to erase any savings after doing the Kirk Ferentz offices of virtual Kentucky's in town and then you got North Carolina North Carolina Ohio state are gonna be in town in a few days Kentucky is staying in town because they've got some more games to play and this is at T. mobile arena so if you've never been to T. mobile arena before if you haven't caught a night's game catch some great college bass while the tickets are very very affordable I think you get tickets for like twenty Bucks watch one of the best teams in the country in action tonight on national television Celebi tonight I am choosing to love that game tonight over you one of the Pacific and John you don't listen I don't take any joy in bashing when LV I don't take joy in critiquing them let's just call this for what it is okay you want all the in Pacific are too bad basketball games not to average teams too bad teams that will not be in post season play they just will not okay and I don't even thank you all these good enough team to be invited to the C. B. L. I. this year they're just not and I choose another set if Kentucky wasn't playing tonight if the nights were playing and there was no other sports a I would actually go to because it's still college basketball I try to go to as many you one of the basketball games as I can but come on guys this is not an exciting brand of basketball make no mistake about it I mean you guys have seen seen them play the show over under the student section this year fifteen or two there tonight fifteen tonight tonight fifteen I'm I'm gonna go twenty I'm good I would take the overhead out to go run that because they haven't because they haven't played at home in a while hello Judy yeah listen I'm not saying that Pacific travels well I'd say the over under on how many Pacific fans actually travel I'm gonna say six I'm gonna think they're a few parents they're gonna show up and make of course yeah but you well maybe a federal death would be there maybe a family their their appearance from IPFW will come to your residence and come to Vegas all right so the guy we have with this guy we have with us on the line right now cat this guy grew up while watching this guy and Saturday Night Live of course I say of course because night at the Roxbury is one of my favorites very very funny movie he is headlining at the Jimmy Kimmel comedy club at the linq promenade we remember the song right away sorry right I feel like bobbing my head right now we love this guy Chris content joining us right now on the line Chris thank you so much for being here how are you you're welcome right zero I'm doing good so do you ever get sick of that song a crispy on yeah I think I think that's an honest answer I appreciate that so Chris you for you've spent some time in Las Vegas you performed here before right what would you think about the city of Las Vegas and what it has become over the years I think it's fantastic you know I'd buy it but I haven't gambled much there so I haven't really lost love the price I can't complain about that the traffic city yeah I know I love it there so as you know as you know Chris you know Jimmy Kimmel a grub your Las Vegas and this is a fairly new comedy club that you're gonna be performing and I would imagine you know Jimmy Kimmel would imagine you guys I don't know what type of relationship you guys out but talk to me a little bit about you know Jimmy Kimmel opening a club here in Las Vegas and it's pretty exciting in fact you're gonna be performing there this week yeah I know I'm looking forward to it I haven't been there before he's a friend of mine and and yeah but the point of being there you know I I I don't know what it I I don't I wanted it open up like last year it was about a year ago yeah it was about a year ago and and Jimmy Kimmel was there John fry I went there opening week Jeff Ross performed at that there were some great comedians that were there and I think the fact that that Jimmy spent so much time here in Las Vegas of course went to you in LV it's a special situation for him as core of course to open his own comedy club yeah it's really nice in there so I'm really looking forward to to checking you out there I actually be.

"Supporting him. Clearly, see that's another point. That's that's valid point. And we haven't even talked about the crowds, the lack of what twenty five hundred three thousand people showing up to games, and I look the racial epithets comment. I thought it was Bs. That's just my personal opinion. I could be wrong when you said that it was a fluid situation when he was coming back. This was prior to the racial epithets xactly, and that's what I try to tell people on social media. I believe that was the nail in the coffin for him. And a lot of other people agree. Definitely did not help the coffin. That. Was I believe that was the last straw was on the like, here's the you can say whatever you want. Then you gotta wear lose games as it comes out. Jason jason. I don't disagree with all. I'm saying is it didn't help him. And it was I thought it was like the final straw the helped him or hurt him. I don't think that you don't think that hard. You have you seen social media with the fans, I'm on Twitter more than you were ticked off our. If you don't meet the top four teams in the conference, that's more damn way more damage aid thing he's can say sweep San Jose State. They didn't have any impressive wins. They're they're brings ones BYU. That's a joke. You saw what happened in the west coast conference starters? NIT at the end the day comes on outside doing criminal comes in on winning or losing. Yeah. At the bottom line is people in this town. Well, I'm not saying that we're God's gift to UNLV basketball. But what I am saying that you're kind of set were honest, though, I believe we're honest on the air you might disagree with us. But we're honest, I think there's too many people Jameson, and you tell me if you disagree. There's too many people in this town that cover the team that have financial relationships are there companies have financial relationships with the don't cover it objectively. And that hurts the program. They don't either dumbed on say financial situations because I can go a lot for ways, I think more benefits more than any to access more benefits and other ways that financial is always tricky because everyone in the media, you know, lots of people are pay for stuff. So you can't say financially. We're we're definitely not getting paid here to say anything about anybody else. Not not at all. And and they better not take our access away because they're gonna to do to five seven five three nine six the number to call. Let's go to Justin, Justin. How are you? What's up? Jeff. I'm good. How are you doing good? What's on your mind? No, I just I think their best bet is hire somebody that's gonna be an often timing. Coach somebody that knows how to coach kids, right? Really don't have a whole lot of talent. But no wanna win. Again. Let me ask you this. Then do you think Mike Miller could be that guy? Yeah. He's he's got a lot of potential, but they need to make sure they get another. I know it's going to be hard. But they need another food. They need another law and tough to find tough to find. Yeah. He was good at at working with kids that didn't really want the best players but have the power to just win. Again. That's a good point. Justin, do you. Remember a guy like Joel Anthony Wright when he was a freshman. I if you if somebody had said, well, he's going to be an NBA player. He would have been laughed at right. Somebody would have laughed at that. But you know, what Krueger did he developed players guys? Like, Joel guys like, wink Adams, guys like Joe darker, guys. Like Justin Hawkins who was on the show yesterday. Dave rice did not develop these guys Anthony Bennett. Ring a bell. Marvin Menzies I I don't think he did a very good job with Brandon McCoy last year. I mean, I know exactly. He had his own son. Was fantastic. And by the way, I think Kevin would be a great coach. Exactly. That's exactly what I meant that. That's exactly what they do. Now. That's what I think would really get the program jumpstarted. And then this time when it gets somebody to jumpstart, hey, the guy that's going to be worth the money and the end when we had it. New sports programs. Go on with Brian was Kevin Krueger on that list. Now now Kevin Kruger's on the list. Just and I will say this. I I wish they'd fire a certain members of the media, and you can take over for them and cover the team because you sound like you actually have a basketball IQ. So it's refreshing. I appreciate the call Justin. Thank you just. Yeah. I I agree Jameson. I agree with everything. He just said. I mean, here's the I don't really wanna retread you want to get somebody. That's coming. And also, here's another thing. You have to realize you don't want to retry guy because if you do what may happen is. You may get a guy that does a good job. Here bounces in three years real quick. And you don't wanna do that you want someone's going to build a program stay for a while they leave their leading to NBA not just leaving for something else for something that they can't refuse. So you won't see somebody here for a lease five six seven years. You don't want anyone that's here for a quick about beard beard beards history. He bay he's basically every place war two years. It gets a bump up. He would do the same thing. So Texas Tech here bounce for Texas because Texas coming up soon. All right. I'll tell you. What why don't we take a quick break? We're with Jameson Wahlstrom drivetime sports at sharp end Shapiro. We will continue to take some more phone calls in regards to UNLV hoops, maybe get to a little NBA as well. The number to call..

"I'd say get out there and do media. I'm all about that. And and I've used to Brad Rafael as director when UNLV was very successful. But there was a lot of crap that happened at that time. We're Brad had to be front and center targeted. Here's here's a good indication tar had the beg. Brad. Roth Erbil to get into the national championship picture in Denver when they want it all there, and he got in there for a couple of shots, and then duck back out his quasi could because he wanted to defer to the athletes, and the coaches who won the national championship. He was the entire pulled him. Grab them at the poll. Okay. Okay. That's an AD. Brad, rather bless you Brad Rothermel for teaching me this lesson of how to act in these sort of situations. But when when stuff happened he was up there front and center now that being said, I agree with you. But here's here's the pro. Here's here's the problem. I've got with UNLV hoops, right? Now the benefit and burden of history of explain here. There's there's a voodoo Hex on this program that somebody somewhere had a doll with a bunch of pins in it in New Orleans. And after after we say, we not me I fought this as much as I could as a media person back then anybody who knows me and knows the history there will attest to that. But this this community a handful of elitist in this town, Bob max, and the president UNLV leading the leading the charge to run off Jerry Tarquini. We had a hold on the table. We had the best basketball program in the country. Microphone break the microphone guitars. We have the best basketball player with with the basketball. I listened to this year's NCAA tournament. They talk about who can be do who can be do because that could be that for five years was UNLV who could beat UNLV eighty-seven when they were. So all the conversations began and ended with who can beat the rebels, and then this university pissed that program away, but they did subverted covertly mob like tactics to get rid of this program and get rid of tar. Yeah. And essentially kill the program. And so that's why I go back to my voodoo doll theory. Is that summer meeting of that? What do we? Got what they deserved. Why do we deserve national championship? But why don't we deserve a good basketball team? Because we pissed away. The best doesn't happen. Very there's a lot of people just like you that feel the same way. And I disagree. Take a deep breath. I hope there isn't that voodoo doll. And maybe there is. Dude. I don't have to five seven five three nine six is the number to call. If you want to be a part of the conversation Brown few trail in studio with me, we're talking to you all the hoops. We just had Justin Hawkins on the line. Former rebel. He seems to think Marvin Menzies should've stayed another year. I understand why he would say that he has a personal relationship with Mark. I certainly don't. But we'll take some phone calls on that to five seven five three nine six who do you think they should hire? Who should be the next coach at UNLV, and let's start off with Fernando Fernando. Thanks for calling in. How are you? I'm good guys. You guys. In March madness comes. These these games. UNLV clip. Oh, you mean of the history, and we don't see that very often. Critics of UNLV on the CBS much or anything because. Irrelevant. Now, there's there's often there's Jim Valvano from eighty three run in the court after thorough Bailey shot won the game. And and so you get that. Because of how dynamic that was that year that here's where I disagree with Fernando a little bit. Okay. I do think that UNLV Enron. You. Tell me if you agree, and I think UNLV was relevant. When Krueger was your why because they were consistently a top twenty five team in the country. They were winning conference championships. They were top twenty five in the country. Sweet Sixteen they went to a Sweet Sixteen but you by understand. But you're saying they weren't last time he called and he said they weren't relative for the last thirty years. I disagree with that. It. It to an elite eight to be relevant. I mean, they were disagree. Be the law, of course. Of course, of course, obviously. Obviously in a perfect world you'd like to make final fours every year. But we know how difficult is look you're telling me, you don't think long Kruger. Did a good job. You know? He didn't. He didn't know he'd be just fine. Okay. It's very very difficult. The greenback. Here's with Lon Kruger. He was going. He had it going the right direction. We should have paid lime Krueger we let me say that. Again, we should have paid Lon Kruger. But again when you got those pins in voodoo doll somewhere down to the back streets bourbon. That's somebody. Administration. We have to we have to find that voodoo doll somewhere. That's been tracked down there Fernando. We all want this. We all want the same excuse me. Yes. Coach that comes in. Job or whatever. Yeah. I'm jumping ship. Yes. I want to go to the. Bless you for staying this long. But you're one of the few that have stayed this long by Fernandes. You looked at the Thomas and Mack center. Most of the fans have already jumped ship. We're glad you're still on board. Let's take one more call before we go to break at two five seven five three.

"Go we've got the number one number five number seven recruiting class, the number six recruiting class pantry and you sit there and they crap out and shake my head going. I this time UNLV needs a coach coach let somebody else recruiting do that other stuff. And I wanna hear somebody. That can make players better when they can get in. That's good point. I'm going to throw a few names out there hawking. And I want to get your thoughts on this. And you're right. There has a lot of names. You know, we hear Thad Matta, right? We are a guy like, Jason Kidd. Steve Alford, and we had Mike Miller on the shell last week. Of course, you know, his brother Ryan Miller who was an assistant coach to Dave rice. I think Mike Miller would do a great job. You're you mentioned recruiting. I know Mike Miller is never been a head coach before Dave rice was never a head coach before I know, Mike Miller would get all those recruits, and I know Ryan Miller would recruit his ass off to me. I think that would be a good higher. What do you think about those names? And and all the other names, maybe that I didn't even mention I mean, who you think would be a good fit here. Honestly, they're all be good fits in their own regions in their own ways. You know, if you're trying to win a press conference, you definitely have know that but then knows and stuff like that. Because their name alone brings you know, you know, it brings attention to heart job, right? Oh, my gosh it earlier, Iran. It all depends on what UNLV wants to do moving forward. You know, what kind of program they wanna ask Commissioner, definitely, you know, this higher going to be key on where you're going to be the next, you know, five ten years when it comes to relevancy, monks drinks. Yeah. No doubt. I agree. So Marvin Marvin Menzies assistant coaches leflore, and I don't I don't know if you know him personally, but he went on Twitter the other day, and he said that this was going to set the program back five years. He also went on to basically, go out go out some fans, and you know, just just really attacking UNLV in that sense. I mean from an assistant coaching standpoint, I thought he made a huge mistake by doing that. I from what I heard Marvin Menzies showed nothing but class he spoke to the players Dave rice, by the way, did the exact same thing when when he lost his job here, he could not have been more classy. But what would you say to a guy like leflore who goes on social media, and basically just hammering some of the? Fans and hammering UNLV. What do you make of that? Because I know there's a lot of assistant coaches that would probably agree with me that that's probably a no no in this business. Everyone's entitled to their own opinion. You know, he'd probably saw no they deserved another year, especially with what they've been through this year what they were accomplishing throughout the season. That sounds like that, you know, what? They had eleven conference with right. Hasn't been done since two thousand eleven I believed to have been twelve but you do know how bad the conferences, though, eleven wins the economy. For me on this side. I see a win it hard any tarps day might be hot Brian's. Speaking of conference Bryant's giving me no help on my bracket for an hour and a half filled out know. I want to know Villanova Saint Mary's can Saint Mary's knockoff Villanova, and I have guns AGA's the national champs. What do you think you're close to this into the situation? Okay. Where do I go here? Uh-huh. I I'm not gonna say your way off no argument. Really good team. They're really good team. They're really beats Florida basketball. Their defense has been I think that loss of Saint Mary's definitely put a fire under. I don't wanna go into the tournament play. Yeah. And he's has been playing their best basketball in the past past month, month and a half. But y'all got remember Villanova last two or three national championship? Well oil machine over there. So it's kinda hard to bet against the wall. So I don't think people realize this. But you obviously work for Damon Stoudamire, and what is it like working with a guy like that who has an NBA legend who was such a great player in his day. What type of coaches see what is it like working for a legend like that? Definitely players coach. He definitely approaches Ingram differently than what I've seen in the past nothing. I've been around a lotta people, but it's a different approach to how you know. How does practices, you know, always? Gangplank specific teams like going up against. Again, and get on the Taliban. You know, you wanna come in do your job and knock it out. No BSN. Minute. Really big right now working on things that you know, that each player it'd be better individually, and then how come together? I would imagine. I would imagine that's got to be a lot of fun to to be to be where I'm sure he's demanding. But at the same time, most coaches are. But that's gotta be pretty sure I'm sure the stories he has I'm sure he's giving you some pretty can you share with us like one Damon Stoudamire story, maybe something that people don't know that he shared with you back in his playing days. I'm sure there's a lot. They're definitely a lot. Those stories. I I don't know if I really say on the air. That's fair. That's fair. The different. Let's say that. I would imagine I hear that NBA coaches. They're more managing egos than than anything else. Yeah. No doubt about if you're just joining us. Justin Hawkins former running rebel played under Dave rice. Of course. And Lon Kruger and Krueger doing a great job. Obviously, as we know it Oklahoma. And and Dave rush doing a fantastic job as an assistant coach over there at U dub. So both both successful both have moved on. We hope we wish the best for Marvin Menzies as well. So what if they hire a coach here in hawk and this is a big hypothetical. They hire a coach that maybe you know, or you have a relationship with. I would imagine not. I'm sure everything's going great. They're pacific. Don't get me wrong. But I would imagine you miss Las Vegas at the same time, and you probably wouldn't mind coming back here and getting a gig down here. Oh, definitely. Next myself out there. Family out there, which munity. Get back as much as possible help out where our team we always have dreams of going back and coaching at her alma maters. And so. Opportunity arises, you know, definitely something. I would look at it. But like you sound like, I'm a great situation here Pacific. But now being able to come back to you now. I'm a modern definitely something. And I definitely got gotta look at no doubt. And I'm sure the fans would walking me back with open arms. You are a warrior out there on the floor. Great, especially that defensive specialist, and we need some more players like that. Maybe you can suit up again for his. But I wish we all do. But you're doing a great job out. There continue the great success. And hope we can talk to you again soon. My man, I appreciate your time. Thank you for everything. All right. Thank you. There you go. Justin Hawkins former running rebel played under Dave rice. Look, I get that. He's friends with Marvin Menzies Ron before we get your Harvard recruited them. But no, no, let's stay on this here is the funny. Get your bracket. Let's talk UNLV. Okay. They're not in the turn. No, they're not tournament this year. What did you make? Did you make a Francois's? Just exactly what is going to talk about. What you make say. Great minds think then do what thousands of press conferences in your career. Right. What did you make is? I'm sitting there. I was there. What did you make of it? I expected it to be that bad. And it was horrible. It was she was nervous. She was scared. She was frightened. She was on camera awful because she doesn't do interviews. She runs from the media. She runs for the press. She's very difficult to to get access to bet. That's her decision. That's I think I think it's horrible. When you're I it's not like any other athletic director at UNLV. So Nero was. Confidence. And she lacks you think she's in over his head. I might be a personality thing might just be she's afraid to talk to the Butch which you then force yourself. That's part of the job. That's part of the job is Atlantic record work with media, by the way. It's part of the job is to deflect from your coaches and your players when stuff happens when bad things happen. Is to be there. So your front and center, so that you deflect from them. And the the other thing you do is athletics. Rector win championships happened when great things have happened under her really the degree. You then get out of the way, and you let them enjoy the players, the athletes and also the coaches enjoy that moment and treasure them moment. That's it'll be interesting to see how she I'm. I'm looking forward to seeing how she reacts the first time somebody wins something of substance at UNLV. Here's something that. I didn't like Ron. Okay. She wasn't at senior night this year. And maybe she was on a trip trying to find a coach, I have no idea. She should have been there here. My thoughts. Your thoughts on Francois. You tell me if you agree. About. I got the sense. You're right at the press conference with the media. She doesn't she doesn't seem very comfortable. And maybe that's because she hasn't been statement. She she hasn't been in this situation before perhaps, I don't know she hasn't. I've asked her about attendance and all that stuff. And obviously she can't go on the air and say in an interview while we're not happy with Marvin Menzies I understand she can't say that. But her answer to me was what we want to give the kids tacos. And we created a lounge for them to stay after class. So they could go to games that's not the answer. And that's not the answer that I think many of us were looking for with that said, I don't know if it was alternately her decision to fire Menzies, I don't know if a lot of people got under year, we know Tina Johnson Murphy, it wasn't her decision. And a lot of other people regardless of that. Here's what I'm going to say, I think it was the right decision with all due respect. I disagree with with Justin Hawkins, and I respect his opinion. I know he's friends with Marv. I don't think marvelous the right guy for the job here. You can give them another year. You give him another five years. He's not gonna he's not gonna get us to the promised land. He's not going to do. With Krueger didn't get Guinness the sweet sixteens just to me the wrong guy for the job. He's never want an NCAA game in his life. If she makes the right hire. And I don't even care if it's not her. I don't care who it is that that makes the decision if they make a good higher and Ron if we're sitting here two years from now and they're in the NCAA tournament. I am gonna give all the credit in the world, regardless of whether she's uncomfortable around the media, regardless of if she's in over her head or not the bottom line is this higher to me speaks volumes about her and it better be the right hired. Because if it's not then she's not going to be here. Very long. I don't think she's going to be here. Very long either. By the way, hell has frozen over the way, Brian. And I agree. What what hold on a second? We agree though. No. That's exactly right. I care more about first of all it was the right decision. So just summer. It was the right decision to get rid of Marvin Menzies as tough as that is I get all that sort of stuff. But. And her lack of a media savvy. Okay. I'm I'm willing to forgive that that that is self inflicted because she doesn't do it very often. I would if I were advising her. She hasn't asked for my advice..

"The shoulder fake drives to the paint. What's up a shot, and he's got a bump to bounce around? Finally, the foul is called on Jared Samuelsson Samuel to first of the second half on the bison and two free. Throw. Attempts will come to HA Harris AJ is really good in the pick and roll he plays with great pace. He doesn't get too fast. Even though he's a very athletic player. But he takes his time gives it to the body of the defense to find his angles. Young man from Dayton, Ohio started at Ohio State and his first free throw is good. Beric John comes on now for the first time in the game. And he replaces Clayton Henry, Sean, the a freshman from Lehigh cours. Florida aggies forty five bison twenty six. He's really too. Hope he has opportunity to on the fast break to show us something second free throw not get from Harris recovered by ward and back come the bison Forty-five twenty-six aggies. Was stops. Top of the circle left too late for gristle, Greece. Slow moving on Bobbitt. He's back left lane for ward wardrobes baseline puts up a twelve footer shot is good. That's what we call good. The better off his. Forty five twenty eight aggies up. Harris takes his time. If he's the ball back to Bobby Bobby hands it off to me. Sean Lee takes the top of the circle returns the ball to Joe Joe Samora takes the ball riding laying down. Low for Yvonne. Yvonne is sandwiched down low followed by someone. Gotcha. I was gonna tell us. Dan guru. I believe. It is the second on goo. He li- chewing gum song for our Sayeh. And the exit the ball and balancing the right of the basket Harris inbounds to down the lane the big steps. Layup not good. Good the rebound and backups Tyson war. The front court drives on John. The we hands the ball off to Shah he'd go back to Shaheed penetrates to the free throw line and offense. If fall, yes, go ahead hawk that was an opposite value saw with the push off their age as is doing a great job of luminous feat. That's the second the second office without he's drawing this game. You are Justin Hawkins he has to falls both on the offensive side at backups AJ, Harris, Harris Bobbitt, Sean, we and Samora on the court John the retakes between the circles now to C J, Bob Bob average double figures last year at Denver rather the last year he played at Denver two years ago baseline right for sure. Tangled pass right lane for Harris. Zamora's more penetrates up is blocked and recovered by gristle backwards, North Dakota state, they passed it the way stolen by Harris. Harris lightning-quick back on the offense and ciphers layup is not good. Around recovered by Zamora again tomorrow takes it back to the hotel as it in. He's very crafty to find his angles to the realm. The lady aggies and scoring ward feeds inside deflected by Bob. And it'll be Fisons ball. The Lakers back from this timeout scoreboard shows aggies, forty seven North Dakota state Twenty-eight, there's a member of the team that has been suited f- since nineteen seventy one block the shot made labor force the turnover yet they've been wearing the crimson white proudly net forty seven year time, the Ashley furniture homestore has been there for all seasons for all teams actually furniture homestore as aggies on their team as well as they apply.
