Are Trump Boxes the Real Problem?

"I do want to talk about allocation of bureau resource. You have a lot of FBI agents living in your state and they're important and valued members of our entire national fabric. They do great work. But I don't know where John Bolton lives, but the Iranian revolutionary guard corps could force does. I'm worried about people in front of justice Kavanaugh's house, including an attempted assassination of him. I'm worried about an open border. I'm I just don't know about the allocation of resources to boxes and Donald Trump's basement that this represents. Well, I can't argue with that and Marilyn probably has a higher percentage of FBI agents living there than any other state. I would imagine we've got a higher percentage of federal employees than any other state we surround the nation's capital. I just had a meeting with John Bolton last week in Annapolis. He lives in Maryland. And he does have security. I mean, I don't know all the details of these threats, but apparently it's still a concern. And we have been both Glenn youngkin and I, governor of Virginia, have been pushing the Biden administration to do more at the federal level to help us. It's been state and local police trying to enforce the law, but there are federal laws protecting the Supreme Court Justices, and they're really not doing it.

Poor Brett Kavanaugh Can't Make Decisions About His Own Body

"So I'm sure you have no thoughts on Brett Kavanaugh being forced to did he have to use a back alley? Is that what happens? Steakhouse, he was yes, he exited a Washington D.C. Morton's through the back door. So like a back alley, that's terrible. Yeah. Was that his only choice? Was it someone invaded this? Protesters showed up out front called the manager calling, I called the manager to tell him to kick Kavanaugh out later, tweeted that just as the justice was forced to exit through the rear, first of all, he never even saw them or came into contact with them, right? I mean, imagine being punished for a decision you think you have the right to make. Right. Right. How dare anyone invade his privacy? That's right. Yeah. And you know, first of all, Morton's really. And secondly, they call them Morton's the steakhouse. And that's just annoying on the Ohio State university. Morton's this takeout, cage, the elephant, Portugal, the man. Oh my God. I mean, people were all over it on Twitter, but Jay said, I feel terribly for justice Kavanaugh. He tried to make a choice, namely where his body should be and what should be inside it, then a small group of people, unrelated to him, showed up and made it impossible for him to make that choice. I mean, I mean, I just love, I just love all the people on all the Democrats saying, yeah, people show up in protest where I am all the time. They do it all the freaking time. Oh my God. I'm not a whiny baby about it. I just have my meal and go about my

Article III Project's Mike Davis on the Transformation of SCOTUS

"With us right now is Mike Davis formerly chief counsel for nominations for the U.S. Senate committee on the judiciary and a law clerk formerly and also helped justice Gorsuch, get on the U.S. Supreme Court, Mike, welcome back to the program. Thank you for having me, Charlie. I always love when you do our interviews, you have that beautiful picture behind you. It's just, it's incredible. So Washington crossing the Delaware if I'm not mistaken. It is, yeah, and I've big, big, big admirer of that painting and what it actually means. So Mike ten years ago, I got my start in politics and I was pro life then as I am now, but I was told by people that roe versus wade would never be overturned. Ten years ago, justice Scalia was lamenting that the court had gone off the rails. What happened in a decade, where we went from a court that was insane and dominated by Sotomayor and Kagan and upheld ObamaCare is merely a tax, even though we know simply that that was an insane decision. We're ten years later, we now have restored constitutional sanity. What do you attribute the success to? I attributed this success to president Donald J Trump and Senate Republicans. President Trump in 2016 won an upset victory against Hillary Clinton in big part because he promised he would appoint constitutionalist Supreme Court Justices and federal judges who would follow the law instead of rewrite the law and what we saw with this Dobbs decision coming out was the culmination of that. It was because president Trump transformed the 5 to four John Roberts court to the 5 to four clarence Thomas court with the appointments of justices, Gorsuch, my former boss, justice Kavanaugh, who I helped lead through the Senate confirmation and then justice Amy Coney Barrett. So it is a fundamental transformation of the federal judiciary back to its constitutionalist origins, what is supposed to be before the liberals hijack the Supreme Court nearly 90 years

'Created Equal' Author Mark Paoletta Reacts to SCOTUS Overturning Roe

"But Mark talked to us about last week. As you said, sep, a great day for the constitution. I can't stop smiling, right? It's such a wonderful, such a wonderful thing that happened, right? And there's so many on so many levels. One of them being that the left through everything at these justice is in the most despicable way possible, right? And one of the I worked on justice Thomas's confirmation back in 1991, right? And I saw it when I reviewed his speeches in an article from his time as the EEOC. He'd been through the fire and he never wilted. He never bent, right? And so to see whether you never know how a justice is going to be until they're on the court in under fire. And it's such a great day that justice Barrett justice Gorsuch justice Kavanaugh, justice Alito, and justice Thomas, did not bend, right? And that's one of the most important things coming out of this opinion. Returning it to the states where it properly belongs. And then this intimidation. And you know, when you going back to the book and the movie, justice Thomas recognized, during those confirmation hearings, all the left cared about was this decision. This is what they were going to destroy him on. So the roe V wade was the neuralgic point for the left. 100% and he goes back to it over and over. He said, they didn't care what I did with my life. They didn't care about anything I had done. They wanted this issue, and they were going to destroy me to keep this issue.

Gov. Scott Walker: Thank God Senate Didn't Confirm Garland for SCOTUS

"Protesters activists, people on the far left are literally breaking federal law, camped out in front of the homes of Supreme Court Justices, voicing their displeasure through bullhorns and banging drums and obscenities and everything else carrying around bloodied baby dolls and yet Merrick Garland and the Justice Department and the Biden administration don't seem to have any inclination to at least enforce the law. Isn't it fascinating how the media has the mainstream media at least has refused to even acknowledge the lawlessness of these protesters? If it was reversed, there'd be pants on fire, their hair would be on fire. Although I do have to say, Mike, one thing just an aside, I just knocked some in the Senate. This is where they deserve credit from a few years ago. Thank God they did not confirm Merrick Garland as a member of the U.S. Supreme Court for all this talk about him being some reasonable middle of the road person. He's not. He's a total left wing lackey. And the idea that earlier this year, he would allow his Justice Department to be aligned with the national association of school boards when they were calling concerned parents showing up at school board meetings domestic terrorists and really trying to intimidate them. This is the same Justice Department that, as you mentioned, this isn't just a bad idea. This is a federal law that prohibits people intimidating officers of the court. That's justices, judges, prosecutors, understandably so. We don't want people who are before the court out trying to intimidate a judge or a justice and their family, you know, that's something you think of years ago with the mafia or somebody else in organized crime trying to do that. They should be prosecuting those people to the full extent of the law and they certainly need to step up once this decision comes out. What was alleged to have happened or could have happened against Kavanaugh justice Kavanaugh? I think is a prime reminder about why this is just so important.

"The protests outside the home of justice Kavanaugh continue. And while their peaceful protests, it's a little disturbing this idea that the left is able to show up at your house. You would think that there would be proper venues for these protests, but you wouldn't be able to come and harass someone where they live. And so you have this alarming scene of these sort of police officers with helmets and batons, and then all these protesters milling about them and shouting slogans and signs and so on. But that's not the worst of it. The worst of it is what the left is doing to these pregnancy centers. The pro life pregnancy centers around the country now life news, which is a pro life site, has documented 40 plus incidents of violence and vandalism directed at pro life individuals and organizations ever since the leak of the draft Supreme Court's decision. By the way, where is the leaker? How is it the case that you have this investigation and somehow you can't find the leaker who gave this information to the media? What? No. Let's look at these incidents because they are quite disturbing. Houston, early May, holy rosary Catholic Church vandalized on the pastor, faster Harris says most definitely it's a result of the leak that came out last week. So Catholic target but on by the pro abortion activists in early May, manassas, Virginia, vandals defaced a pro life pregnancy resource center, writing graffiti all over the building, abortion is a right, you people are liars, a whole bunch of incidents in Texas, early May Portland, Oregon, southeast Portland, pregnancy center. You can see the windows smashed as a photo here. There's the F word, debris everywhere. May 3rd, Frederick Maryland, the care net pregnancy center defaced with spray painted pro abortion messages that say pro abortion, go to PP, Planned Parenthood instead, abortion is a right. This is not a real clinic, and forced motherhood, and then one more example out of the 40, then I'll give you may 8th, Madison, Wisconsin. I left this so called anarchist group, attacks the Wisconsin family action office. They've tossed two molotov cocktails into the office after breaking windows, and then they set the office on fire.

Is there an evilness to the silence of an American president over an assassination plot against a Supreme Court Justice? To this day, Joe Biden has failed to say anything at all about the man who has now formally been indicted for the assassination plot against justice Brett Kavanaugh. You don't need me to tell you what Biden would be doing if that assassination plot had been carried out against a liberal justice. You don't need me to tell you what the media would be doing. If some lunatic evil monster tried to assassinate a liberal justice on the court, but this week Nicholas John Rossi from Simi Valley, California, who is in federal custody, is facing life in prison, he was indicted and formally charged with the attempted assassination with the assassination rather of Brett Kavanaugh. "Do you know to this day as I understand it? And Derek fact checked me if I'm wrong. To this day, Biden has not even spoken about the guy from California. Who traveled to Brett Kavanaugh's home, armed to the teeth and ready to murder the Supreme Court Justice. Over roe V wade. Biden can declare today world elder abuse day, but he can't speak out against an assassination attempt. Against a conservative Supreme Court Justice. Again, this is evil. We Need to Return to Civil Discourse in Order to Solve Our Issues

"Back in time. Jamie Raskin, the fame constitutional scholar in a professor who I've had the privilege of sitting down with I know Jamie Raskin very well. Disagree with him almost everything. But Jamie also objected strenuously to the Trump electors. Okay. Again, Al sad forces calls this past year a difference in what was happening. But when they were attacking members for simply doing what other members had done in the past, that was the part where I drew the line. The rest of it with a mob in the discussion of the transcendent of the capitol, those were issues for those people to have to answer to and are answering to. But when we take that and then we try to move it forward and to move forward and debate that is detrimental. We end up with our words, unfortunately, inciting the issues of problems like this with justice Kavanaugh around the road debate. And for me, this is what is actually going on here when we have gotten to the point to where civil discourse is no longer tolerable. Where civil discourse is something that you can say and you can get vehemently upset about you can even talk about the things that you dislike about the other side. You can bring your points forward, but at the same point in time, and no matter it's not reported, but when you don't take the time to make sure that debate is had in our country. In fact, the biggest concern I have right now in our country is that we talk past each other. And look, I'm bringing out a conservative perspective here on this podcast. I will continue to do so. But one of the things that bothered me the most during the Trump administration was that the left was never held accountable for the things that they would say and that the things that they would do.

Sunday Talk Shows Ignored Attempted Assassination of Justice Kavanaugh

"Back in the day, I used to watch the Sunday morning talk shows. In fact, my boss would often acknowledge, hey, it's real important to be plugged in so that you're watching, you know, you know what's going on, chuck Todd, meet the press, face the nation, ABC this week, and of course it was always a wrap up of the week's stories, you know, it would be an analysis, there'd be debate, there'd be conversation, do you know that they literally ignored the shocking brutal assassination attempt on the life of justice Brett Kavanaugh? From some far left radical from California who traveled to the Supreme Court Justices home, armed, ready to act, do you know that the Sunday shows ignored it? ABC CBS NBC CNN, they didn't touch it. You think they'd have covered an assassination attempt on the life of justice Sotomayor? You think they might have been interested in a Republican who traveled to one of the liberal justices homes? Armed with a plan to kill them, we'd still be hearing about it on that. It might have overshadowed the January 6th public hearing that nobody's caring about.

"Clay Travis and buck Sexton sound off Welcome back to clay and Bach We had that big breaking news story from the last night about a threat to the life of Supreme Court Justice Kavanaugh a man armed with a pistol told police outside Kavanaugh's home that he intended that justice harm this comes from our friend Carol markowitz breaking a man was arrested outside of Brett Kavanaugh's residents around one 45 a.m. last night The man had a gun and said he was there to kill justice Kavanaugh he was taken into custody without incident Carol goes on I can confirm the man taken into custody outside of Brett Kavanaugh's house last night is a 26 year old white male with a California driver's license previous address in Seattle caramel Carol markowitz is a New York Post columnist and she joins us now Carol Thanks for being here Hi clan buck how are you We're good So Carol you know clay saw this on your feed first So we're giving you credit for getting the breaking news story out here What can you tell us in terms of additional details I mean one question that comes to mind for me is so this guy just walked up to police outside of Kavanaugh's home are there still active protests going on outside the justice's home What's going on Right So there are protests I don't know how regular they are But there's been reporting about protests over the last week There are still absolutely going on at their homes And so I don't know what he said to police I just know that he did admit that he was there to kill the justice So I think we're going to have more information in the next hour or so including his name and the rest of it But it's a really troubling story mostly because who among us is surprised right Like when this broke I mean all we can say is I thank God nothing actually happened Thank God that the justice is safe and his family is safe But nobody absolutely nobody is saying oh how could this be Well it could be because there's been this exceptional increase in these protests at the homes of these justices And the rhetoric from the liberal media and from the Democrats has been so ratchet up that we can absolutely expect that somebody will attempt something like this And that is really the worst part about all this is the lack of surprise Carol I mean it's an awful act but it in the twisted logic of this guy His thought process is clearly because of the leaked opinion if I were to kill Brett Kavanaugh then roe V wade would remain the law of the land Buck and I started off talking about this to begin the show Doesn't to you this continue to put in impetus on the Supreme Court to get this opinion out there and also maybe for John Roberts to join on 6 three so it's not an opinion that is based on the life of any one of the justices that is in the majority Well that would be of course preferable but it is scary to watch them all under threat as this opinion is sort of held in the balance I think that would be the right move for them to move ahead with it and to let Americans kind of adjust to that however it happens And this being suspended in this situation I think is just really unsafe for everybody The keeping pro life centers keep getting attacked all over the country which is also not a giant story And I just think we've gotten to where I can commit violence because I don't like somebody's words It's so standard that I fear for all of these justices And I'm also just I want to see how big this story stays I mean because if it were a liberal justice who's somebody was caught outside their home with a weapon saying they wanted to harm them I think it would be a major major story And this I'm not so sure that we're going to see the same kind of coverage of justice Kavanaugh being threatened as we would if it were one of the liberal justices I want to remind everybody we're speaking to Carol Margaret's of the New York Post she's a columnist there Remind everybody of this flashback to just last month Jen Psaki was still The White House press secretary on this issue of protesting outside of Supreme Court Justice's homes for which there is a very clear federal statute that says you can not do this Here's how the person who is speaking on behalf of this Biden regime spoke of this issue The president's long-standing view has been that violence threats intimidation of any kind have no place in political discourse And we believe of course in peaceful protests What I do find is interesting is that there are voices on the right who have called out protests that are happening Well remaining silent for years on protests that have happened outside of the helms of school board members the Michigan Secretary of State or including threats made to women seeking for productive healthcare or even an insurrection against our capital So can I guys a little bit of a little bit of creative writing there from Jen Psaki There's not a federal statute that says you can't protest Now I don't agree with protesting outside the homes of school board members But it's not a matter of federal law Yeah that's absolutely right And the thing is is that these protests you can have them limited to place of work And that's really important especially for public figures I think we need to have a separation of home and work for these people And if we don't I really do think these kinds of threats are going to continue We also had senator Chuck Schumer standing on the steps of the Supreme Court also around a month ago and calling out Neil Gorsuch and Brett Kavanaugh by name and saying that there will be a price to pay I mean who is responsible for these words Who is responsible for the rhetoric being what it is in our country and some crazy person taking up this mantle and going to Brett Kavanaugh's house I really think the responsibility lies with these irresponsible people who have said irresponsible things Carol tomorrow is the January 6th hearing To me and to your point on how much attention this is gonna get June 8th is a form of insurrection right I mean if you really want to use the insurrection term broadly what this individual was attempting to do is overthrow a Supreme Court decision by murdering one of the justices thereby keeping the law from becoming reality This is a radical proposition that I'm with you I think it's an unbelievable story that needs to get a lot of attention I don't remember the last time that we had this kind of an assassination attempt And I think it is fair to call it assassination attempt based on the reporting that is out there right now And the fact that it's happening the day before the January 6th hearings to me is an eerie storyline given how much Democrats have focused on January 6th I'm curious why we haven't seen Biden why we haven't seen Garland why we haven't seen Schumer or anyone on the Democrat side condemning this attempted murder Right And take it even further I want to see the media I want to see the media.

"Tucker Carlson tonight. One of the smartest hours of TV, you'll ever watch. You show me somebody who doesn't like Tucker Carlson, I'll show you somebody I don't trust. Because every single night, Tucker Carlson brings it. And he's spot on regarding the way the Democrats who are encouraging and condoning and supporting these thugs outside the homes of supreme and incidentally, maybe this arrest just sealed the deal. Maybe we now roe V wade will be history because maybe now if any of these justices were wavering, maybe they'll have the stamina to say, you know what? You're not going to intimidate us. We ain't budging. Roe V wade, bye bye. States are going to get to decide. Which is the way it should have been in 1973. Roe V wade is bad law. It should never have been nationalized. States get to choose. You want to go get an abortion in a big blue state, go knock yourself out and drive to a big blue state. You want to go get an abortion. Don't worry, abortions are not going to be banned in America. That's another big fat lie. But maybe this horrific arrest will permanently seal the day, the shield the deal, and we can say goodbye to roe V wade forever. It might just have the opposite effect. I hope and pray it does. I saw heartbreaking picture this morning online. There was a picture of justice Kavanaugh's suburban home. It's a real pretty white, you know, kind of suburbia home. And there was a picture of the little family dog looking out the window at the cops and at the thug bully protesters, those creeps that are out there marching around, disturbing the neighborhood, threatening the lives of justice Kavanaugh and his wife and two little girls, and there was the little family dog little cute little dog looking out the window. Just imagine what this family is going through right now. Because after it was announced that this man was arrested, you know what the protesters did? They intensified. They doubled down. They got louder and more intense, and they grew in numbers outside Brett Kavanaugh's home 'cause that's how they roll. That's what the left is about. They're ugly, they're vicious, they're violent. They're creepy, they're radical, and they do not reflect. Millions and millions of normal American citizens. Our numbers 806 5 5 mic and here's the hypocrisy. Oh, Trump said fight. "On Fox News channel's the 5 yesterday reacting to the news of the arrest of this man from California being formally charged with the attempted murder of a United States Supreme Court Justice. There's a couple things that just happened. First of all, this group Ruth sent us. It's like the westboro baptist church, right? Right. Except for except for one thing and judge, you correct me if I'm wrong, it's illegal to protest at the home of a justice. Yes, it is. Okay, so Ruth sent us is going to go to they were at his house today. They plan to be there tonight. If I was an attorney general of the United States, I'd say to rest them all. And Biden should say, they absolutely should be prosecuted. You can not do this. They have to take a stand tonight, and if they don't take a stand tonight, they are complicit. The other thing is that the Speaker of the House, Nancy Pelosi has been slow walking this bill that passed that Senate unanimously. To protect Supreme Court Justices, why is she doing that fast track it tonight? And if you don't, you're complicit. The third thing is that vice president Harris should come out and try to calm people down. For years, they've been saying that if roe V wade is overturned, that the police patty wagons are going to show up and arrest every woman in sight. Now they're saying that roe V wade, if it's overturned, it's going to kill women. And now you have this person who said, I will have a life's purpose. By killing somebody that they think is so evil, what if Kevin was not even good? What if you voted the other way? They don't know. They are so stupid. Right, it's absolutely absurd and I felt a little emotional about it because I know Brett Kavanaugh for a long time. One of my dearest friends when I worked in The White House. And his wife, Ashley, is lovely. And he has two daughters. Right. His daughters deserve this. Do they deserve to go to school and have to deal with the fact that somebody was going to sneak into their home? And kill them. Yeah. And if you don't do something about it tonight, you're complicit. Yes. If you don't do something about it, Schumer, your complicit.

About what will happen if the United States Supreme Court rules in a way that is not favorable towards roe V wade and allows states to determine a woman's right to an abortion, not a federal law, do you remember what Chuck Schumer said? In 2020, after president Trump appointed conservatives to the Supreme Court and the left started freaking out that roe V wade would be struck down, let's take a little stroll together down memory lane. And they're taking away fundamental rights. I want to tell you Gorsuch. I want to tell you, Kavanaugh, you have released the whirlwind. And you will pay the price. You won't know what hit you. They are charging him literally the authorities are convinced that this man was outside Brett Kavanaugh's house with the intention of killing him.

"I am a proud gun owner, and not only am I a gun owner, but I carry big stuff if you know what I mean. Like when I go to the range, they know I'm coming in there. They know I have to make two and three trips. Just to bring everything in. So they know this. And the issue here is blacks are changing. We're no longer falling for the democratic demon crack. Crap anymore. We're not falling for this. We're not falling for killing babies. We're not falling for, you know, allowing the crime in our neighborhood just to go crazy. They're not doing anything for us. And so what I would say to everyone who's non black out there, when you need a black person, if you have black friends who are supporting the Democrats, don't be afraid to say, of course, you know, keep it professional, be respectful. But let them know, hey, the Democrats are not doing anything for you. Correct. And the response may be, well, what are the Republicans going to do for us? Be ready for that response. Be ready. But have that discussion because it's just been painted on one side for so long, we've been totally destroyed by these Democrats. I don't care what anyone says. They will put public housing or free housing or whatever is called in our neighborhoods, but then also put 5 abortion clinics down the street, right? So we have to open our eyes and see these things. And my role now, what I have been called to do is every black person I see, I am working as hard as I can to turn them against Democrats. That is it. They've done nothing. They don't want to do anything. They have no interest in us. Other than our votes, that is it. And then once they get the vote, we see their backs turn.

"The Supreme Court really wanted to begin with. But I do believe it passes pretty quickly after this. Brett counterfactuals are never easy and I usually avoid them. But had and I won't even say justice Kavanaugh, I had any of the conservative members of the court been assassinated in the last month. What would the consequence of been to the country? I mean, hypotheticals are tough, but that's a massive one. And I think it would have, it would throw, it would throw things into chaos, I think. I mean, you know, you talk about institutions and respecting institutions and that process about the Supreme Court. I just think it's a massive thing to think about. And a horrible thing. And we have got to prevent it. And I try to get my arms around it because I lived through 1968 to 70, and the last two years are kind of on that level of. Tenuousness. You're not old enough to remember that. But I mean, you woke up every day and I remember waking up and Bobby Kennedy being killed in every Catholic in the America, which is completely thunderstruck and I can remember Kennedy being assassinated barely. But it's just the kind of thing you don't imagine America. So I talked to Michael Lauren this morning who I'm sure you knew when he was in bachelor from the drill. And he said, when Rabin was assassinated it shocked Israel too. And I just want to compliment you for doing that. And I hope that you're right about that. I will be watching you tonight. What time does the special coverage get started on Fox business, Brett? Just before 8, about 7 55, they expect to gather in soon thereafter, but we'll have plenty of time to come set the table and then we'll see what they bring to the table, you know, this is a big moment for them to call for prime time hearings. The last time we had a prime time committee hearing 2015, VA here and so they've got to bring whatever they've got. We will be watching if you are watching Bret baier on Fox business tonight at 7 50 or so. Thank you, Brett. Don't go anywhere. Back on the Hugo show. Welcome back, America. I'm Hugh Hewitt on Thursday morning where I'm still sort of shocked than a man attempted to assassinate justice Kavanaugh last night. Jim talent, former senator in the United States Senate joins me. He voted on a lot of judicial nominees. Jim talent, how did you react when you heard that last night? Same way you did. Thank God it didn't succeed and not only because we don't want anybody killed. We don't want to Supreme Court Justice killed, but because of the potential for damage to judicial independence, which is a key part of a democracy. I mean, really, there's only two things that democracies all democracy have. One of them is a respect for the value of human beings, which is the reason everybody's entitled to participate in their own government to elections, but the other is the rule of law and the key to a rule of law is a robust independent judiciary so that people can vindicate the rights they have against the state..

"January 6th. Good morning, Brett, how are you? Hey, you, good morning. Before I talk about tonight and about last night's assassination attempt on justice Kavanaugh, I want to talk about something you're doing Monday, which I applaud greatly. You're going up to the Kennedy institute in Boston, not the Kennedy institute of politics. That's run by my college roommate, Mark Garrett the Senate, the Edward Kennedy institute, to moderate a debate between Lindsey Graham and Bernie Sanders and I'd pay cash money for that, Brett. Tell us about that. You know, it's a long time coming and a lot of organizations involved, including the Edward Kennedy foundation on hatch foundation, Senate project, bipartisan policy center. And it's an old, it's an effort to bring back old school debate about substance and how the Senate used to work. And we were really interested in what we were tossing around the ideas of the project and we spend on for a series of various figures on both sides of the ideological spectrum with the hopes that in a very civil way, they could debate the differences, but then get to possible places where they could see eye to eye. And that's really the goal of these series of debates around the country. And this is the first one in Boston between Lindsey Graham and Bernie Sanders, and you can't figure two characters that are more ideologically different, but also very good at articulating where they are. Well, Lindsay is the funniest senator. I've said that for a long time, and Bernie certainly is going to be heard. Is there an agenda? Did you guys have you agreed on format 5 minutes, 5 minutes? Is it Lincoln Douglas style? What's the actual layout? Yeah, it is much more formal. There's an opening statement and I think it's actually three and three minutes opening statement. And then there's some back and forth. The topic is domestic policy. We're not going to go too far afield in the foreign policy issues, but it's wide open. I mean, it's 30,000 feet. And then there's a, you know, it's in the well of the Senate, if you will, in the Edward Kennedy Center and then there's a sit down portion where I do Q&A and they respond to each other. So it's an hour and not interrupted. It'll be streamed live on Fox nation, and then we'll turn it around next weekend on Fox News channel. And do the same thing in the series of three. Do you expect to get to the package of measures that senator cornyn is leading the conversation for the Republicans on school safety, guns, et cetera? I bet we will, you know, in that obviously that covers domestic policy and one of the things that Trump and center and I think that there is that and other places where there will be common ground between the two. And that's what we're obviously striving for. Now, let's turn to tonight and then we'll finish with justice Kavanaugh on the attempt on his life. Tonight, you will be anchoring fox's coverage of Nancy Pelosi's committee. I hesitate to call it a select committee because the Republicans are not participating, although my friend Liz Cheney is a member of the select committee put together by Nancy Pelosi. How are you doing this tonight? If I watch it all, you know the a's are playing the Indians, the guardians in Cleveland tonight and it's the first chance for them to be about 500 this year and they're only a game back in the lost column behind the twins. So I kind of think I'm going to be watching the guardians versus the age, Brett. But how are you going to approach it? Yeah, so we'll have some time before it starts. Martha and I will be on Fox business network. Along with a series of guests, Jonathan turley, Mark shorts, we've got a balanced panel, Jessica tarlov, others will have kind of a setting the table will take the hearing and then when they take breaks, we'll jump in. And we'll provide analysis throughout. And then afterwards, Martha and I will be a part of Shannon's two hour show kind of recapping the hearing and the highlights and the lowlights. From it. So it just provides viewers and opportunity on FNC, the opinion programs are going to keep going. They're going to dip in as warranted, but if someone wanted to watch unobstructed, if you will, and have news analysis from us, we'll be on Fox business. We'll stream on Fox News dot com. It'll be on Fox nation without a paywall. And obviously Fox audio as well..

"For that matter, where are the mainstream media? This story is probably on a 27 in The New York Times. It's astonishing. It's very hard to find every morning newsletter buried buried it under their obsessive hyperventilating about this illegitimate partisan witch hunt hearing we're going to have tonight. But senator imagine imagine the hue. Imagine if it had been a conservative, a conservative who is obsessed about an opinion by say, Ruth Bader Ginsburg, when she was still alive and showed up at her home with a gun and all that equipment. Do you think that would be running an a 27 of The New York Times or do you think it would be a $5 buyer on MSNBC and CNN and a better banner headline in New York Times? The attempt to assassinate any justice at any time is a banner headline on every platform. My last question, senator. In terms of Jimmy Kimmel and the president. I don't know when that was taped. I believe it was taped after the assassination attempt. The assassination attempt did not come up as far as I know. What does that tell you about that quote appearance by the president? Well, he all confessed that once again, I was watching Sox angels, so I did not see Jimmy Kimmel, which is my ordinary view encounters at night not to watch the evening comedy shows. But again, the fact that if it was taped after this was known, and this was now in pretty early in the morning. Ten 20 a.m. eastern. It goes to show that the mainstream media and the cultural left in America. Is trying to bury a highly inconvenient story, which is a democratic hitman tried to assassinate a Republican appointed Supreme Court Justice to change the outcome in a case that they don't like. This is just one more example of how the Democrats are projecting when they say that, oh, Republicans and conservatives are undermining democracy or there's rising authoritarianism when it's the Democrats who are willing to threaten justices by name, inspiring democratic hitman to show up. There is a democratic congressman, just last week, or earlier this week, who said in congressional committee, that they will eliminate the filibuster and they will pack the Supreme Court if that's what it takes to confiscate the firearms of law abiding American citizens. These Democrats are true radicals. They are the ones that are threatening democratic principles in this country and the American people are going to eject them from office to solve. On that prediction, you're not going to get any odds for me because it's a mortal lock. Senator Tom cotton, thank you. I appreciate your taking the time to spend with me this morning. I want to remind you that our sponsor is Andrew and Todd dot com. There was Sierra Pacific. "House. Are you going to even watch tonight? I was just talking to Brett bear about coverage on Fox business tonight. And they're going to cover it because I imagine there are 5 people in America who want to watch it. But are you going to watch it? Am I going to watch the event? Partisan witch hunt on TV tonight? Yeah. That one. No, the yanks in twins have a game tonight. So I'll be turning into that before I turn it into the Red Sox and the angels out west. Senator, the a's are playing the guardians tonight who are now 25 and 25 and one game back of the twins in the lost column. So I'd suggest your MLB is better spent there. Let's go back to the issuing of the opinion. There are 29 opinions left. The would be assassin cited not only Dobbs, but the New York gun club case. Which tells me he is a literate user of the Internet, meaning that his Internet social media history will be available and the timing of it will be available. Will the judiciary committee demand those records because it seems to me proximate cause is going to be proven up by which websites he got the geodata to target the justice and where he learned about the New York gun club case front. This is not a dummy. This is not an irrational mental case. This is a cold blooded assassin. Yeah, well, I'm skeptical that dick Durbin's judiciary committee will be doing so, but I'm pretty confident that chuck grassley's judiciary committee in January will do so. Again, this is a truly shocking moment in American history when a democratic hitman tried to assassinate a Supreme Court Justice to influence the outcome of a case. After a draft opinion in that case was leaked specifically to create the kinds of pressure and threats we have seen with left wing street militia's protesting in violation of federal law outside of justice homes. And now a hitman traveling across the country with kidnapping materials and firearms arrested outside of the justice home confessing to his intent to kill them, specifically because of that case. Let me ask you, do you suspect he violated gun laws? Along the way. I don't know enough about the facts of how he obtained his firearm or how he traveled that firearm view as possible. It wouldn't surprise me and it wouldn't surprise me that he's not charged with gun crimes because this Department of Justice refuses to charge serious and repeat felons with gun offenses at anything like the rate it should be because it undermines their own ideological goals of releasing as many people from prison as possible and not sending them the prison in the first place. But Hugh, the guy showed up in tactical gear with zip ties and flex cuts and duct tape and a crowbar. He wasn't going there to do a construction problem. And a Glock. He was going there to take hostage and assassinate a Supreme Court Justice and presumably his wife and his daughters as well. And Chuck Schumer can't even acknowledge it. When he was the one who went out to the Supreme Court steps and personally threatened Brett Kavanaugh by name. You know, the Democrats are always saying that Tucker Carlson and Laura Ingraham are responsible for this or that crime because they think we have too much illegal immigration. Chuck Schumer, specifically threatened. Brett Kavanaugh, my name. Yes, as far as I know he hasn't even mentioned it. Where are the democratic senators and congressmen who are denouncing this effort by a democratic hitman to assassinate Supreme Court Justice..

"Back America on this Thursday morning I'm talking to senator Tom cotton of Arkansas. I'm inside the beltway, I believe the senator is back as well. Good morning, senator cotton. Good morning to you, good to be on with you. Yeah, the morning after the leak of the Supreme Court draft opinion and Dobbs. You said on this show that the court ought to move to issue a judgment opinions to follow in order to minimize threats to the justices. They did not do that. First, your reaction to the attempted assassination of justice Kavanaugh and then do you still believe as I do that they ought to issue a judgment opinions to follow immediately. It was a truly shocking moment in American history when a democratic hitman was nearly deterred from murdering justice Kavanaugh and presumably his wife and daughters as well. This is someone who was probably aware of what Chuck Schumer had said just a couple of years ago. On the steps of the Supreme Court view, when he specifically threatened Brett Kavanaugh by name, saying that he had reached the whirlwind and he wouldn't know what hit him. He was going to pay the price. This also happens after you've had left wing street militias, protesting outside of justice Kavanaugh's home and other justice home, indirect and explicit violation and federal law. Yet the hapless partisan hack Merrick Garland refuses to enforce federal law. In fact, they did it again last night to you on the very same day that a democratic hitman tried to murder Brett Kavanaugh, you had another left wing street militia announced in advance on the Internet. They were going to violate federal law. Yet not a single one was arrested. Merrick Garland should resign in disgrace. And if he won't resign in disgrace, he should be impeached in January for his dereliction of duty. And this is also at a time when Nancy Pelosi refuses to pass the bill or even have a vote on the bill that passed the Supreme Court, the Senate unanimously last month you to provide an enhanced security, not just for the justices, but for their families. What would have happened if that democratic hitman had shown up in 1 o'clock in the afternoon as opposed to 1 o'clock in the morning. When justice Kavanaugh wasn't at home and therefore there were not police present at his home. It's disgraceful that Nancy Pelosi refuses to even have a vote on the Supreme Court security bill that passed unanimously last month. And then finally, the point you race you, yes, I believe the Supreme Court needs to issue the opinion and the Dobbs case now. However they rule, whatever the breakdown of the justices opinions are, they need to issue those opinions or at least the judgment mail. Before some other lunatic democratic hitman thinks that he can change the court's decision and the course of history by assassinating a Supreme Court Justice..

Leader McConnell Says SCOTUS Leak Caused Assasination Attempt

"Leader McConnell spoke on the Senate floor. I guess. Cut number four. Let's listen to this. It's cut number four. First, just moments ago, The Washington Post published an extremely disturbing report. According to the report, a man in his mid 20s was stopped near the house of a Supreme Court Justice. Carrying a weapon and burglary tools. He reportedly told police he intended to murder the justice. Reportedly he indicated he was angry at the decision. He thinks the court may reach and an upcoming case in light of the unconscionable leak from a few weeks back. Well, this is where we are. This is where we are, mister president. If these reports are correct, an assassination attempt against the sitting justice or something close to it, this is exactly exactly the kind of event that many feared that the terrible breach of the court's rules and norms could feel. This is exactly the kind of event that many worried the unhinged reckless apocalyptic rhetoric from prominent figures toward the court, going back many months, and especially in recent weeks, could make more likely.

Armed Man Arrested Near Justice Kavanaugh's Home

"I think there's only one story. The attempted assassination of justice Kavanaugh at his house. By a man who traveled there from California from Simi Valley, actually, where he went to high school. We don't know much about the individual. He was charged with attempted murder by the Federal Bureau of Investigation of a Supreme Court Justice. It's an attempt at assassination. And anyone who says it's a threat, it's not a threat. It was an attempt at assassination. I'm glad the Marshals were there. The man then retreated, figured out he'd been spotted. My view called the cops because he'd get off better if he said he was suicidal. He went there to kill justice Kavanaugh. That's a threat to the justice or threat to his wife a threat to his children a threat to the neighbors and to law enforcement, and saint threat exists against all 9 members of the Supreme Court because of the leak. It was not only foreseeable that such an assassination attempt would happen. It was predicted it was predicted repeatedly that this would happen.

"Let me articulate very clearly to you the plight of stupidity on the left. They can be as violent as humanly possible. And there's no recourse. Every news outlet should be enraged. And shouldn't have any other news to report other than a man who showed up at Brett Kavanaugh's house to kill him. Now, I think the story is kind of suspicious. It happened at 1 a.m. between one and 2 a.m. in the morning this morning. I believe it was this morning. We're a suspect that I'm not going to say his name because he's a coward and he probably did this to get some recognition and the media would love to put his name out there so he could become a liberal hero, but he got in an Uber, drove up to Brett Kavanaugh's house, got out, saw two U.S. Marshals who were there and got scared and ended up going down the street to the corner. Now they didn't stop him initially, he called 9-1-1 on himself. And stated that he was suicidal and homicidal. And they sent police officers out there once they detained him. He admitted to them that he wanted to show up at Brett Kavanaugh's house and kill him.

"Mister president we have a confirmation hearing going on right now for Kentucky Brown Jackson Do you notice the difference between your time and office with Gorsuch and Kavanaugh and Coney Barrett how you were again that you and your nominees were attacked in horrific and disgusting ways personal attacks are the most violated I don't even want to repeat them out of respect for you on the phone especially against justice Kavanaugh And yet you see Republicans now asking dignified questions But being not getting engaging in the personal nonsense doesn't perfectly sum up the disparity between these lunatics on the left and our party and the values and principles we represent Well nobody's ever been treated and I don't mean just for Supreme Court Justice Nobody in the history of Congress in my opinion has ever been treated like justice Kavanaugh nobody There's been nobody ever even close with They did to that man They tortured him And personally I don't think he'll ever be the same I don't really think he'll ever be the same And I could understand that I've never seen anything like it And I actually think he's very much afraid of them now And he's afraid of being impeached You don't forget after he finally got in after going through an ordeal like nobody after that they constantly throw out that they're going to impeach him For no reason for women that never existed And these women you know the three of them admitted it was false and that Bill Barr should have done something about it He was weak and ineffective He should have done something about it but these three of them and then the fourth one was just terrible You watched her performance And it was a disgrace that something wasn't done But nobody's ever treated anybody like that And I think it's had a huge impact on him And I think it's a shame he has a wonderful wife and wonderful daughters and wonderful family And what he went through is just terrible And I see what that is I heard how tough the Republicans were going to be there Their marshmallows they don't do it the same way and they're not there they have good policy but the guy you know when you have Mitch McConnell as a leader it's not the

"Coming up on the Hammer and Nigel Show details about Donald Trump ripping Justice Kavanaugh Plus will have some cocktails was marked from the mark and Rob Show. That's three o'clock 93. W I, B C Hey, not hear the voice of the creature from the backroom calling my name and follow justifying you trace the fan, So Roger Federer is pulling out of the Olympics. Just another story. Just another story of how messed up these Olympics are going to be. Who's going to be watching? Who's gonna be paying attention. This is disaster. Tony Katz, Tony Cats today. It's good to be with you. Facebook. Tony Katz radio. The phone number 833 got Tony 8334688669. Was it and just claiming a knee injury. Is that it now? I I didn't see anything. Of of the of Wimbledon. So I have no idea He does have any injury. If I'm then I'll believe it. But how many in in Olympics past. If you had any injury, would you still have moved forward? Maybe it Federer's age, and it hasn't been a great season for him. Federer's age. You know he's 950 years old Federer's age. But he has nothing to prove. He's one of the greats in the game. So maybe you're saying I'm not so sure My future isn't in any of this. Maybe What I gotta do is, uh, is take a walk here. Maybe maybe I just got to stop for a while and and and see which way it's going to go. I'm not. I'm not sure. All I know is it's bad for the games. Very, very bad for the Olympic Games because they're already going to have a question of who's watching. This only adds to the pile on. Then over in the NFL, Richard Sherman has been arrested on domestic violence charges. And denied bail being investigated as a felony. Remember he was with the Seahawks won the Super Bowl, all mouth very, very good. Uh, what is he a safety reason? Corner quarterback? He's a cornerback. Very, very good. Um, I didn't realize he was a free agent. Had had absolutely no clue. And the charge at least as being discussed and what he was booked for. King County Correctional, burglary, Domestic violence. Oh, my The NFL Players Association, saying We will continue to monitor events closely as more facts are made available to us, which is their way of saying, Don't bother us. We're trying to figure out what this might mean. We don't know what this means. Now he's been trying to come back. He wanted to come back with the Seattle Seahawks. These are I think we need to wait to know what the story is. But there is there is a serious level of of I was going to use the terminology, but I don't want to use the terminology and I don't want to be rude to the thing. You know what? I'm going to hold off idle line. I'm going to hold off here. I don't think the NFL can handle these kinds of things right now because the NFL's handled these kinds of things. In a in a shameful way. In its past, you know, and I know That they have looked the other way on all all sorts of abuse. Time and again. Well, they can play real good. Well, it makes us money. What doesn't mean that? Yeah. That you do the thing Doesn't mean that Yeah. Yeah. You bring you bring them back. Just just one man's point of view, I think is what's going to happen in the Olympics. I was just gonna be Flat out miserable. Then there's a continuing story of critical race theory because there's always a story of critical race 30 because parents are fighting back And rightfully so. And I get that it's difficult to fight back. When you're constantly being attacked, constantly being ridiculed, and there are people out there who really want to hurt you. Right here in Indianapolis. When people were showing up to a school board meeting. To discuss the issues with critical race theory in anti racism, which are bigotry there. They they can say anything they want. Don't tell us that it's only taught in colleges. The people involved those teachers and those unions have bought in. We know that the ahead Who talks about anti racism, which is bigotry. He's teaching your teachers. We're fully aware of what's happening yet. They try and pat us on the head and say, Oh, no, that's not happening. Oh, no, You don't understand. Oh, no. And the superintendents all get together to say, Oh, no, that's not That's not the case sat at all. Please don't be silly. If we're we we see you. We see you in Loudon County. They are highlighting a mother. Anti critical race theory rallies. Protesting the curriculum of the labrum, County public schools, and we talked a lot about what's going on in Virginia could be happening in your neighborhood as well. And somebody sent out a flyer. To her employer, saying You should be ashamed to employ a known and active racist. What is wrong with her? She's a racist. She's a racist because she doesn't believe in critical race theory being taught to our kids. That does not make one racist. That is what people who don't want you to have a say, say. That's why the claim of racist Is such nonsense garbage. It has no, uh, effect. It has no pull. Someone calling you a racist. Someone calling you a bigot. Is meaningless. And you have to treat it that way. It is extremely important. But I didn't say it wasn't difficult. It's incredibly difficult. But you have to walk right through it their plan, their hope their desire. Is that they'll call you racist. You will get so scared that you will stop. And they will be able to continue unabated in their bigotry. The critical race theorists are the biggest The anti Racists are the biggest. Remember what anti racism is based on Confronting discrimination with discrimination. And confronting future discrimination. With discrimination. It is. That is what it's about from beginning to end discrimination. We have seen quite clearly. That critical race theory in the hands of these educators is all focused on the belief that you're just should be soul thankful. You're so lucky. Oh, you get a special deal because of your skin color, and you Another person should.

"Why the nc double a. should be terrified of supreme court justice kavanagh's concurrence by sean gregory for years critics of the college sports business model which tends to enrich schools and administrators but not the actual players have relished the potential of this day a supreme court ruling against the nc double a. but while today's unanimous court opinion on behalf of college athletes in ncaa. V austin is historic for momentum towards real real change in college sports for the good stuff. Go to cavanaugh. As in the concurring opinion of supreme court justice brett cavanaugh. Who took a sharp turn from the measured approach and criticizing ncwa arguments offered in the principal. Opinion penned by justice neal gorsuch. This shouldn't be entirely surprising during oral arguments. In the case which questioned whether the nc double a. was permitted to cap education related benefits to college athletes. A district court ruled that it couldn't and the supreme court upheld that decision. Cavanaugh was particularly aggressive in his questioning of ncwa lawyers. It does seem schools are conspiring with competitors agreeing with competitors. Let's say that to pay no salaries for the workers who are making the school billions of dollars on the theory. That consumers won't the schools to pay their workers. Nothing cavanaugh said during the march thirty first proceedings and that just seems entirely circular and even somewhat disturbing and his opinion cavanaugh seemed to invite more legal challenges to the nc double a.'s cap on all forms of compensation for athletes. Not just those tethered to education. Which was the narrower focus. This particular supreme court case. Nowhere else in america can businesses get away with agreeing not to pay their workers. A fair market rate on the theory that their product is defined by not paying their workers. A fair market rate cavanaugh road and under ordinary principles of antitrust law. It is not evident. Why college sports should be any different. The ncwa is not above the law. Those words from a supreme court justice no less serve as a useful rallying cry shorter be quoted by lawyers representing college athletes and college athletes themselves for years to come not that a ruling that allows schools to offer athletes. Additional education related benefits scholarships for graduate school. Internships and computer equipment.

"Know, is the president whatever the court says the president can release his taxes whenever he likes. So why shouldn't Americans at this point believe that the president isn't trying to hide something in me has been asking this question for four years and for four years, the president has said the same thing, his taxes air under audits and when they're no longer under audit. He will release also note the excruciating ruling for House Democrats who were very much called out for their partisan games. They also subpoenaed the president's information, financial information and justice, Roberts said far from accounting for separation of powers concerns the House's approached aggravates them by leaving essentially no limits on the congressional power to subpoena the president's personal records. So Leave it to house Democrats who did a partisan impeachment a political witch hunt against this president. And this was yet another part on Ly to be rebuked by the Supreme from today's White House briefing, And in an opinion piece for the week dot com David Fares offers this perspective quote. Four of the five conservative justices were appointed by presidents who took office after losing the popular vote, of course, referring to George W. Bush and Donald Trump. Chief Justice John Roberts is keenly aware of his legacy. And if nothing else, genuinely wishes to preserve the legitimacy of the Supreme Court's power. The last thing he wants is to spend his remaining years teaming up on Descents with Kavanaugh and Gorsuch is part of a conservative minority had Robert's Marshall the full wrath of the rights five for majority by ruling with the pro life Is in the Louisiana abortion case or in the workplace discrimination case, It could have made it completely undeniable.
