"From the skyline studios high above Columbus and Wacker drive Anna here and as the blood tests on WGN it is going well and hope you got out and enjoyed that amazing warm weather this weekend just incredible to feel and now of course we're hearing that snow is on the way and there is some amendments to the forecast like what they're they're looking at the models and they are changing it up a little bit about what we might expect in where so Dimitri's ivory is going to check in with us in a couple minutes you guys are breaking fifty hours on Venice beach yesterday get out of it was nice rub it in really outdoor beer gardens in yeah how awful weather let me just took the weekend to go out to Venice beach and we went out well and when I took my daughter to LA so we went to Malibu one day in between very nice nice well wasn't too too bad here because it with the sun was out you know makes all the difference right so just getting out and enjoying it it's just so great and I think I mentioned earlier was talking to G. that I heard someone say well we got through winter and look what he's talking about well you can get through winter well it is good shot my wife is still out there to fly home Wednesday and look at you know this is the one snowstorm of the year and you might get caught in the bathroom that could be the largest one so we'll Dimitrius gun check and just a couple minutes case you missed it though but suck few bits of news this afternoon and late this morning things have broken and maybe you have missed maybe miss some of it the developments in the jussie Smollett case also Harvey Weinstein found guilty but not on the most serious charges in the right state right not on the predatory charges which could have carried life in prison but no one of the charges he faces a maximum of twenty five years we'll see what he's actually sentenced to but he was taken immediately into custody so he's behind bars now and will be until after he's sentenced coming up on March eleventh right convicted rapist a felon and Dave that's right no bail so that was a pretty severe move that was not what defense attorneys asked for they wanted him to be free while he awaits his sentencing and that didn't work out no you know you yeah I I would imagine the argument is he's an old man he's not a danger to people but clearly this conviction showed that he was a danger to people in the path asked and so they're gonna hold them and then justice Millett also made a court appearance I know it's just arraignment how again did he plead this morning or late this morning pleaded not guilty this morning and their TV stations didn't bother going they just replay the video of the scrum going into the court room last year look the same and the other around in the same people as all going in this is brother there because it was like looking at his brother thinking that was him because they look a little bit alike and but yeah not guilty and then his lawyers are going to ask the Illinois Supreme Court to stay the whole thing they're saying look this is double jeopardy jussie Smollett's already been charged with this those charges were judicata and it's against his rights to do it again that is an interesting argument there I I but why don't know that'll be successful but we'll see this the Clinton not guilty and then trying to see if they'll throw them out on the other hand remember that special prosecutor Dan Webb came in to see how this was handled and that's still an investigation that's under way of cook county state's attorney Kim Foxx is office right right that's not that part of it isn't done yet yeah so then they decided to unleash this indictment against jussie Smollett and that's moving forward and the his accomplices out enough for calling them accomplices but the the brothers from Nigeria I think they were in their brothers they were they were there today and they get close to each other everyone wondering well from what I heard there were a few words miles of each other and and they weren't you know happy happy February now and I will then sell it but I think I don't think that did to actually talk with their attorney did so well I think we'll hear from the attorney coming up at two o'clock okay well we'll listen and for that and then my favorite story of the day the Zamboni driving father this called up for goalie duty in the NHL played for the Carolina hurricanes awesome story it might be the you know that little nugget of professional sports might be the funnest part of pro sports could not happen here in Chicago a few years ago yeah the accountant by day Scott foster that was hiding in my room I thought that was an incredible story then here we go again so we're gonna talk to Chris Boden about that also the trade deadline happens during the show right at two o'clock so there could be some moves for the Blackhawks nothing big yet I just suck christen the hallway and he says we're waiting or waiting we'll see so could be big on that front as well but let's turn over to the weather would see what the very latest is there because I'm hearing that some of the forecasts have been amended a little bit and we want to know from the beaches I read WGN TV how it's all look in the area you don't want to hear it trust me no I'm just kidding did it get worse or better well depends on what what where you are well here's what we have going on we have a number of this is it it's funny because it's all inside baseball now this is things that these are things that people used to just not even expressed to people but there's always a number of different models and some of them are great some of them are out to lunch or sometimes all of them are wrong is about to call it a complicated system yeah that is my nails on a chalkboard to me kind of a complex system really I thank tell us where it's going to not only on his company went to go out so this is what this is what we're seeing and in one model that I would.

"The nasdaq up ten the S. and P. five hundred up three I'm Steve tread on Chicago's very own seven twenty WGN th th th what is your one thirty two on WGN we've got some much more ahead and this is this is something I found it fascinating as we talk about China trying to just stem the tide of cases there and trying to contain the coronavirus cases and reporting a number of new cases because of changes in the data the way they're reporting things there has been an unintended consequence and it comes here to Illinois did you know the U. of I. has nearly six thousand students from China they're they're part of the student body and what they're experiencing right now is a good their experiences are chronicled in a PBS report and frankly some of them are hard to hear but we want if we found someone who can tell us more about what they're experiencing in hopes that it will help everybody professor trials Ledford as his name is known affectionately as stretch on the U. of I. campus welcome professor how are ya I'm good on a thank you so much for having me thanks for being on the unit you are frequent traveler to China I know you've been recently been there well it wasn't recently had recently it right is a relative term so my wife and I were in China in a twenty twelve we were in Wuhan we picked up our daughter grace from Wuhan she was born and who bay province about a three hour train ride outside of Wuhan I see so you've been to this actual area and your daughters from there and since then you haven't been back though so it's just that one that one visit well we were in Shanghai actually for twenty four hours a couple of years ago my wife is from Indonesia and we were heading down to Indonesia and we did stop in Shanghai but with the one trip to will on it in twenty twelve is is the memorable one yeah so I think that you you become very active with some of the state with some of the students who are from China and you have that obvious connection that you just described of I'm it pulled six thousand almost six thousand students from actually from China at the university of Illinois it seems like an awful lot big community it is is a big community and and it's a strong community they there there's fifty five thousand seven hundred and I believe thirty eight was the exact number that I got for Chinese students enrolled here in the spring so you have this enrollment and there is this piece done about how that the attention they're getting and some of it a lot of it doesn't seem so good just because they're from China that is that's happening to them describe for us kind of give us an overview of what's happening in what what you're seeing well I first became interested in this story when night I heard through my wife's and she's an English Chinese when I heard through my wife's a social network that some lunar new year events were possibly going to be cancelled and given the size of the Chinese student community here in the Chinese community be on campus the Chinese American community here I thought that would be a story and so I started looking into it and discovered that the Chinese American Association of central Illinois out of concerns about the corona virus and also a desire to be in solidarity with the people of wind canceled their lunar new year celebration off campus following that a week or so after school started the Chinese students and scholars association a subsidiary a registered student organization of the Chinese students scholars association canceled an event they were expecting eight hundred students for a lunar new year celebration and a another story I I learned about in in my reporting was a a a professor here whose family is in Wuhan to physicians and husband wife and the the wife had contracted corona virus he was getting messages from friends and family there that they desperately needed masks his wife bought six thousand masks off of Amazon repackage them and and ship them out to to Wuhan and who bay province those anecdotes those those stories led me to really want to learn more about what the mood and and the feelings were here among the the Chinese students and they they're concerned you know they're a long way from home they're they're somewhat isolated anyway just you graphically from their family and they they they used words like shocked saddened worried helpless and and heartbroken when I asked them about their feelings about what was happening in China it must be hard because you're so far away and that's really that's where things are happening that's where people are becoming sick and even dying from it and they say have family back there they are they're not allowed to travel back there is that right if you're from Wuhan is doesn't this is still on lockdown that city of for that area of about eleven million people the city the city is locked down and some other towns in who they province as I understand it are locked down one of the most poignant stories that I came across was a young woman from Wuhan she had spent the winter break and move on with her parents she had scheduled her flight back to the U. S. from Wuhan didn't weeks earlier but it happened that her flight out of Wuhan left twenty four hours before the Chinese authorities shut down the city him and blocked all travel out so she had not heard as she was flying back to the U. S. back to Chicago and then eventually to champagne about the quarantine landed here got the news from from her parents and then when she arrived in Champaign there were other students from from from China who who had also heard the news and you know what we're asking her how how did you escape from the city from that horrible city was was the way she put it there in their words which was very hurtful to her you know she had not escaped her city I intercity isn't a horrible city but there was there were a lot of what what is been out there there there's all the the World Health Organization use the term info down back to accommodate accompanying the the epidemic right and people get wrong ideas about in one of the early things was that there was a mass exodus out of Wuhan after just before the quarantine that wasn't the case with joy but she had left just just under the wire there and she is in touch with their parents every day she's worried about her parents and she's a she's continuing to to stay in contact with them and while she's going to classes here yeah and so it sounds as if it you folks are on top of it at university of Illinois was such a large Chinese population of students and you're offering it's there that was really cool of everyone to get togethers to send masks out there to the affected area where those are in short supply and I imagine there other things that the university is doing to kind of help the students and make sure that they're okay is there anything else you can tell us about professor well I hadn't heard that there was an effort on I'm not sure there's a an effort on behalf of the universe seated to send out mass that was one visual such I wanted to battle right but I spoke with running Kahler who is the associate chancellor here and she pointed out that the folks at McKinley health center the student health center here on campus and reach out they they regularly send out mass emails to the student body and to the faculty and staff talking about help to protect himself we're not protect how how to stay healthy right in in in any sort of right now that you know the flu is is more of a problem here so much more right a corona virus we just had a doctor on yesterday talking about how Illinois is particularly hard hit right now with the flu and obviously much greater chance much greater chance of getting the flu then the corona virus it doesn't make people fearful less fearful though when they hear about so many headlines that's what sort of creates this kind of feeling right and and what running Kahler said was that the director of student health and reach out specifically to the hundred and fifty or so students from Wuhan to let them know of the facilities there the he is that he gave them a a direct line they they wouldn't have to go through the the usual appointment process if if they felt ill they wanted to see someone so you know one thing of all the Chinese students I spoke with I I ask you what do you think of the university's response to this so far and to a person they felt like the university was doing what they should and and they felt comforted by that yeah I saw that in your report here the from PBS that you interviewed a bunch of students there is are there they were interviewed and talked about their experiences specifically was sort of others feeling not so at ease with them so just generally because they were from China and they go into great detail about that is that sort of this is some of that going away now I I mean how do you forty feel like that is for those Chinese students and the comfort level on campus well I think it does I think it may depend on the news cycle you know this coming in there's there's news in a few days ago that things seem to be leveling off in China now they just changed at least in a province the diagnostic standard for declaring someone had declared that someone had contracted the virus so the numbers went way up whether there's a real numbers or they're just numbers based on the changes in the diagnostic procedure who knows yeah the the the the the students young people all of us are we have a fear of the unknown right and there there were stories I heard some couple of young people on the bus who saw a couple of Asian students Chinese we don't know they were they were Asian according to the the the person I heard this from and the source told me that you know she was there this day considers were having a call I granola bar back in force and that a couple of guys behind or commented on you know Hey look they're they're passing the corona virus back in force you know and things like that which did it is hurtful right over to yeah and so I'm sorry to hear that and it sounds like the university of Illinois is doing everything possible to create support for the students at this time and we are out of time professor but I just want to say thanks for letting us know what's going on I saw the piece and I I knew that you were involved with this and so thank you for the time professor Charles Ledford noticed stretch on the of I can stretch because of your height you really have a million for first day of college nineteen eighty one I picked up that moniker and here we are at this time later thank you professor appreciate that thank you very much more to come here on WGN including right here from Karen Conti in the two o'clock hour so much going on legally in the world from the justice Millett developments and what's going on there how to make sense of what's happening with all that she will also break down that story we're talking about earlier the federal lawsuit that was filed today by the family of commander of our against the gun seller in Wisconsin for his death should that be is that a good idea what do you think it's a it's an interesting one we've heard of it before it not always successful not even always successful by the same people in the Brady group that is behind this particular lawsuit but they're they're going for with that they seem to think this one particular dealer is a bad apple particularly doing a bad job at background checks and that kind of things guns falling into the wrong hands Karen Conti will break down the law on that and much more coming up here on WGN radio his favorite favorite to pose wrong why WGN America is my favorite favorite shows favorite blockbuster movies my favorite original series WGN America we play favorites kids are watching WGN America.

"This period of the show because the jussie Smollett story took a very interesting turn if you're just getting your car you just luggage front whatever happens to be just hearing this for the first time jussie Smollett has been indicted by the special prosecutor these special prosecutor in the case of the investigation into Jess is what and how the cook county state's attorney's office decided that they were just gonna talent this whole thing go it is not going after he plead guilty but never admit guilt you go spend a couple of hours doing some community service which he did by working day library operation push for a couple of hours took a few self fees and then he went back out on the street and said Hey the Chicago police department everybody is screwed him and he's the Danny is the victim here so now Dan Webb the special prosecutor for me former US attorney for the Northern District Illinois an attorney in private practice very successful attorney in private practice has been named as the special part was named a special prosecutor by this judge a couple months ago was given two different jobs here one was to figure out if jussie Smollett should face further criminal charges he found yes is the answer to that and his charge on the six more four counts of obstructing justice in two counts of being a jerk which is basically what those other two are then the question number two which is today but in the cook county state's attorney office do anything wrong in this particular on this particular day in this particular statement from the special prosecutor he says that the because we've charge just is white you can't inferred that there are there's more coming but I can't comment on that at this time spacey went there's for her part Kim fox's state's attorney released a statement that said this is James call me like to release an indictment of Jesse small at just thirty five days before and Alexian now watch she's going to she's using Donald Trump defends yeah all right so we thought we get a reaction from the people who are taking her on in the democratic primary on the seventeenth of March here's Bob here ready long time Chicago alderman who's running for cook county state's attorney what say you Sir thank you I I certainly believe that in light of the decision to indict Jesse small at the camp box must resign there's no doubt about it and her the action that is trump like is just absurd I mean it just shows the corruption incompetence in her some dishonesty that that she and her head office live by so there well yes but she's not going to what's next what's the other you know I think she I think everybody in the county of cook out of you looking at this because if she still under investigation or big cloud of every Reynolds complaint that is filed is questionable under and I I I think people on the County Board already called for her resignation I if I was a day of somebody was a descendant if I hear the sound about their ID's I'd be asking if the state's attorney can get away with this in this case where a special status was given then it can happen in any other case and we need to restore integrity and honesty and transparency to that office and we need to restore now so you have a sense that there will be more coming here what is your thought what if what if you had to predict something here during the some of the fall and she was a first of all she was praising the and work so for her to turn around she said today in this press releases that ironic in that is deceitful but secondly I do believe that day why did she have stuff in the car she says she has a personal journey out of Washington who is allegedly doing the pro bono maybe she's not paying that person but somebody could be paying that person to represent her and so that you have that going on and why would you need that if you weren't at risk so I think there's a lot more to come out in the next few weeks ready is running for cocaine sister any thank you Sir appreciate it thank you all right and we're anticipating a statement which will pass along to from bill Conway who is the the fourth contestant for cook county state's attorney on March seventeenth all right I got a look at this and you just kind of seven months let's also let's look at this now after they can fax perspective for saying let's look at this from just the just the small lacked perspective we talked to his former attorney a little bit earlier on the program like Monaco is our legal analyst I'm paid position here is the thing I find most fascinating is watching the all three of these TV screens in front of us here and I'm watching all the major networks and they're all breaking in like in the top of the you know the the network news for NBC ABC and CBS in their introduction real that they have when they start you know years coming up tonight on the blah blah blah Miley knows all just as much need all three in the intro real and many of them many of them played the story in the first block in the first you know is one of the top stories get any of the New Hampshire primary today and you have the Roger stone story today where the president tweeted that Roger stone was treated inappropriately and then the justice department change the sentencing request to the judge in the sense the writers don't have been found guilty of of three different accounts federal counts including lying in a perjury and witness intimidation need to threaten to witness with with bodily harm a document that would mark we can in coming up in the six like our but that those stories got kinda rush down and here's jazz is what what happened here at all because of this stupid thing that just as well did a really dumb thing there's no question about it and I've never understood what his motivation was it never is hi it's almost inconceivable to think about I wanted to get some sort of attention he needed something to put himself head and shoulders above what else is going on around him in terms of his caster you know how our result about himself he clearly is a troubled young man he's talked about that right he's got he's got his own issues so he somehow finds these two molds who decided to help him out with this thing and they and and stages this attack on himself it's clearly what happened he pleads he it is it goes rigid geisha to plead guilty doesn't actually have to have a eight if this doesn't necessarily rise a little we had to go to court and he had to be in it you know under the jeopardy of being imprisoned losing is freedom are fine or whatever happened to be find and there's no indication is paid the fine is it just a diversion as they call it in a just a criminal justice system and then he went right out but part of the diversion he's going to say you're sorry president version is you've got to go in front of the judge and say I did this I'm sorry I shouldn't have done it that was not required in this case so that's why he's being charged again that's why Dan Webb found it well we found he well within his rights to charge Jess is Mike is is not double jeopardy he was diverted heed the act you didn't really in in in the classic sense did not face the criminal charge so chess is what now will have to face a criminal charge you like to have to face six criminal charges now they're not major things this is number one this is not a big this is ultimately not gonna be a big deal it's probably not going to spend any time in jail for it but it's really about justice for the people of cook county to justice for the people of Chicago justice for people who do it are like myself out of my mind about the fact that justice Millett now I got to do this and talk about what a dangerous awful place Chicago is because it's filled with Magda had wearing trump supporters who wish to link him which is we have a lot of problems there is no one in so this is the end with the way he he did it and they the V. expense that was spent by the city is just insane so I'm glad that he is coming back to face justice we'll see what happens the compact news into.

McCaffrey was fired by mayor life flight ands some rumors started sort of playing out and some sources talk to some news outlets saying that McCaffrey had raised some ethical issues and that he he was bounced for that reason for him bringing whatever that issue is up correct and he is the spokesperson for the heat no you know he was a spokesperson in the law department with a spokesperson for the law department city Chicago right he says something to the mayor doesn't like legitimate or otherwise in he's bounced that's that's what the sources are saying the mayor says it no that is not the case she's got a sort of abide by these the law and policy employment law policy she can say exactly what exactly what it is but she is saying that he was let go for because and that's interesting because she could just cut him loose he is a a political higher he serves at will and he could if he can he can be bounced for any reason she doesn't have to give a a he says for cause meaning he did something wrong is to see she's planting the current says that and she she's not saying that it was because he brought up an ethical issue within the department no she she's saying know that that it isn't because of that so she was sufficiently irritated that there is a suggestion that her he had raised an issue about her trip to Iowa where she she went on the taxpayers dime to as part of this mayor's conference and she interviewed Pete but a judge about what his how he would deal with policy and help help cities floor shipper particularly poor parts of cities the city paid for her trip there and that publicity that the two of them got it was a widely noted interview with the one they're interviewing the other clients I never thought that it was inappropriate any mares travel all the time right it there is a question about whether this is a political event or a political for Pete but I mean if you want to see what is the mayor the mayors are only interviewing democratic candidates right is correct that's right that's right okay so that that gets us to that point with the still another player here we haven't talked about although heather anything else you want to drop in that is that you know I dealt with bill McCaffrey for several years and I would be shocked on the beat to beat him fired for cause and a lot of us reporters took to Twitter over the weekend on the third day Hey you want to know more about what this was about and that early irritated the mayor she referred to McCaffrey is the news media body and that you know I think it's another indication that relations right now are a little between the mayor and the news media and I know some reporters who have tweeted about bill McCaffrey's firing we're just sort of course I just wanted to know what happened because he's always been one of the few people in the hall who will return your phone call or I would return your phone call or your email and tell you what he knew and if you couldn't tell you what you wanted to know what he would say that which as a reporter very value sometimes just as helpful as yeah are you I will tell you I was in a few holiday gatherings all of us newsies hang out together and there were some questions about those tweets because nobody did know what was going on and they were sort of this kind of mourning over his exit you know I he he did your right have there he he was responsive but I do think that time there were some questions about why the sum of reporters would sort of put put themselves in that position of of not knowing what happens with somebody I don't mean him anybody and say you know it and kind of posting this you know how could this happen a little of the Johnson to me in that if you're going to make this major announcement or remove somebody who's really important but then say that I can't tell you why I'm frustrated by that maybe that's appropriate behavior but it it strikes me as if it's that important for this person to go wow what happened and if you're the transparent mayor that you ought to tell us what you're doing here and then she did not in this case but at about the same time the corporate counsel for the law department and the city is this guy named mark Flexner and he claimed homestead exemptions for both his Chicago and his Naperville homes I don't know where he lives he voted in one town but he moved to the other and he claimed homestead exemptions for both you don't get both you can have one and he's save thousands of dollars he said it was a mistake I didn't mean to do anything unethical here the mayor his offer to interpretations of that but is it the reporting of that by the spokesperson guide the cut the mayor ticked because this guy gets to keep his job in the spokes person is out of a job heather are those stories link to related I don't know it certainly what sort of brought up at the theme crack compress within the question that the mayor got what was still McCaffrey's firing related to this question about mark lectionary residency and she said well I can't talk about why he was fired but I will tell you that there's nothing wrong with my collectors president di and then a couple hours later fun times reported that as he had in fact Klay that exemptions for both home which is not allowed and began a lot and this is I think important because if the mayor is going to say I'm running the most ethical administration in Chicago history and I'm thinking we need to restore trust in Chicago government we have to hold her accountable when her top aides don't follow both the letter and spirit of the law top the two cities top attorney that's exactly right I mean he he's he's got to make sure that all of his talks are in a row and I I think that the I think that this is going to come back to sort of create seeds of doubt as he deals with with legal cases I really do what I mean by that well I just wonder whether there's a going to be a question about sort of like okay are are you being truthful that this office is already had a number of problems they defended not releasing the the video of the shooting of a coin McDonald and I think I think that that it's it's an office already tainted by reputation of not being forthcoming being honest and and even with this little thing maybe it was a mess up I I don't on Lisa Donovan speaking right now reporter for the Tribune also on a phone line heather Sharon editor of the day the line Lisa authors every day the spin which you should subscribe to do I have to pay extra for that the skin you do have to subscribe to the Tribune are you could you could just subscribe to the Spanish the politics newsletter I should do that and then what about you had the the daily line I can get a free version or subscription paid for version right odd the reversion to give you a little heat to whet your appetite for what we do on a daily basis subscribe to both now ladies how how plausible do you is the explanation by the attorney I didn't know it was a simple mistake this happens so I don't really care I need a job you know what the law is going to follow the law the fact that he didn't as we first bad troubling especially spent you know the mayor pick in certain insure salon argued the sticky case in court and he will be coming out hours after the mayor said what do you recorders talking about there's no problem there's nothing to be here I I think you know like like we said I drove all over the city went up just a couple of inches and I think to it at some point you have to be if you're going to say you're transparent and you're different you also have to have the ability sale I don't know I'm gonna check on that that just sort of your your your reaction is I'm I'm defending this person no matter what check on it you know don't don't say no that's not true you know what what you're asking me that's not accurate when you know we all have access to these databases and information about where people are claiming exemptions and and and all voting records all sorts of things yeah is one of the name in the news I want to ask the two of you about we've asked about this before after meeting fiery.

"Attempted modern day lynching Kamel Heris calling the attack and attempted modern day lynching which street what the about us saying that it is a modern day lynching on that that sorry this is what I get okay so I will say this about that case I think that the facts are still unfolding and I'm very concerned about obviously information so come down on the withholding told the information actually comes out from on the record sources we know in America that bigoted advised attacks on the rise right so they called the justice Millett thing a lynching because they're black and they can is that how it works yep that's how it works they're allowed to use the term because they're black yeah that's right even when it was the justice Millett thing which was a complete hoax well at the time that you know it was a hoax right they were they were they they were they actually used another word besides lynching well I don't like that word I think I'm offended by it but I'm not a black person that you got it you got to go with the people that it's offending I understand that's how it works if you don't think it's elective outrage at all when they see you can ever use that term but then they could use it in situations where clearly there wasn't an actual engine if you tell me Hillary used and I'm sure she has but I but if I if you tell me like like a white person used it that's the idea is the fact that a white male used it I could duck I can give an example I bet you could let Jerry Nadler up nineteen ninety eight told the Associated Press talking about impeachment right Bill Clinton and we are quoting I wish we could get this over with quickly in pushing the process in pushing the arguments of fairness and due process the Republican so far have been running a Lynch mob that's wrong he shouldn't be saying that but not so he shouldn't have said that trump shouldn't of said it it's not okay because one person said it there's no there's no false equivalency here it's not okay to say it Cooper that's what people listen to show more and more the word is out because I can guarantee it you can watch cable news tonight yeah and none of the examples that I just told you about in terms of Nadler right in terms alright then we we talked about trump we said it was wrong and then obviously Kamal Harris Cory Booker you say they're black they're allowed to use it's their word okay fine but still the point is that watch if you were to watch like a CNN or MSNBC slide that Jerry Nadler quote anyone anywhere there are ways and it's gonna be treated like trump is the first ever use this analogy I was the first person to say to you on the air that I was offended as it as a half Jew that AOC use the term concentration camps I had a real problem with that the better half right the better half yet close to croak Henry hill in Goodfellas healthy anyway Lindsey Graham defending the president today on the whole lynching thing.

"We had talked about Amari Alan Amari Allen if you haven't heard that name before is a twelve year old girl who is black who attends a manual Christian church which just happens to be this is in Virginia just happens to be the church at which second lady Karen pence teaches part time. she cues three white male students classmates of hers of pinning her down putting a hand over her mouth chopping off her dreadlocks and calling her nappy and ugly okay there was a big tearful video with local news stations about it she was with her mom her mom was appropriately outraged at this incident so many questions because she's twelve and he's in high school well they say high school student I think that that must be a misprint hi hi this articular articling and how does that even happen now I think I I don't know I don't I don't even know if it's like a K. through twelve school maybe maybe I will only it's a twelve thousand dollar your school yeah I mean she is so pretty nice school it's a pretty nice school yeah so I mean you know she put on a show man she like half there was a spectacle when it came to her performance because of course this is what it turns out to be it was completely made up but she she had the water works going I mean it was very compelling you know get more outraged because of all the racism yes she said one of them put my hands behind my back one of them cover my mouth they kept laughing and calling me names they called me ugly and said I should have been born they called me an attention seeker she said the boys brandished a pair of scissors took big chunks of my hair and just cut and then she said she didn't tell anybody until two days later after grandmother noticed that her hair was uneven and she says sometimes I think that I don't deserve to be at a Christian school in that I'm ugly. and then she said she also felt compassion for the alleged attackers and said something could have happened that made them do this because I know that's like the source of most bullying. quite a story it is quite a story yeah but. the head of the school yesterday released a statement explaining that Amari had acknowledged that the allegations were false no because she's only twelve police are not talking about it because she is of course a minor and so are the boys who she falsely accuse but what happened is a security camera footage in the area in which she claimed she was attacked and at the time she claims to have been attacked there is absolutely no evidence of an attack in that area at that time whatsoever so now her family has released a statement to apologize to those three boys which they should do yeah and they wrote we understand there will be consequences and we're prepared to take responsibility for them we know that it'll take time to heal and we hope and pray that the boys their families the school in the broader community we'll be able to forgive us in time which fair statement yeah the problem is is that there was statement also from the head of the school and the head of the school's statement had this wine in it the chance really rubs me wrong because they said that while we are relieved to hear the truth and bring the events of the past few days to a close we also feel tremendous pain for the victims and the hurt on both sides of this conflict. we recognize that we now enter what will be a long season of healing now this is the line it really just grates this ordeal. has revealed that we as a school family are not immune from the effects of deep racial wounds in our society. we view this incident as an opportunity to be part of the learning and healing process and will continue to support the students and families involved and I say this is a made up story yeah it's so how this has anything to do with not being immune from the effects of deep racial wounds yeah I'm not really sure what that what is that what is that what is that yeah and then it also makes me wonder if if and so they. they found out this was false how because they probably went to her and say Hey we have a camera yeah the police we have a camera and so we know what happened and so that's probably when she was like oh crap yeah I the jig is up that yeah and I need to tell you what actually happened so what if they didn't have that camera well it happened in those three boys what would happen to them what what happened to their futures what what happened to them none of that matters apparently shouldn't because because listen they have they have to deal with the effects of deep racial moon yeah and that is what the headmaster of the school is saying that's a bunch of bull crap because those boys would have been affected for god knows how long I know it's absolutely right but nobody ever thinks about the little white boys right who cares. who cares about them. and their families and yeah and the the ripple effect that would have had on so many people it's wow it's unbelievable yeah and then obviously there were a lot of comparisons made immediately when this came out to Jesse small at and I was one of them like I did that's a neat Lee who I thought of as soon as I saw that this happened that she made up this whole story I was like wow justice Millett has been a real inspiration here or that NFL player that we just talked about what two weeks ago I can't wasn't it is is that was a NFL player rob wasn't at the NFL player that day I remember we talked about yeah the guy that like he heard his own business he did something. the former NFL player yeah I know yeah I know yeah he doesn't do some big yeah I stole TV's and and like vandalize. reason he was caught is because the cops happen to see writing it and why more people doing this why and now just the small let is try is speaking out saying I haven't lied about it saying. there is somebody who on an Instagram post was like saying the same thing jussie Smollett is obviously got some inspiration and jussie Smollett reply to is saying and I quote with all due respect brother y'all can clown me all you want but my story has actually never changed and I haven't lied about it saying good lord y'all can continue to be misinformed internalize sheep who believe what actual proven liars feeds you or you can read the actual docks either way I'll be all right I know me and what happened you don't so carry on all love. really but it was you know two white sand mac a country. but you can live yeah yet light although my leave he's trying to say it in line yeah it's a whatever helps you sleep at night I guess this is all about these deep racial one yeah I guess so. hammering night two of the ninety three W. Y. P. C. masher. the red line still free it is it was all supposed to be free for throughout the month of September Bucks to spend some problems and you know what we're going to go ahead and keep it free and to work out the Kinks the glitches sure the fair machines they're not ready that's what we've heard the fair machines aren't ready and not only that some of the maps and stuff and let you know where the red line is from stop to stop or working either so they're going to extend the free redline rides to November tenth. which by the way election day is November fifth so I guess you're going to have to just hop on the red line and go to the polls if you don't have a way to get there well played mayor Joe Hawkes at well play.
