The sentencing judge Lambert admitted he wanted to make an example out of the cell's lady woman. Why? Because he was frustrated that the defendant in a separate case made statements they were quote embarrassing to me. That actually happened. And therefore, because he was embarrassed by somebody else, Lambert decides to take it out on this elderly woman. And that's horrible. That's not justice. It's the opposite. And it gets worse. At the same time, this was happening. The U.S. attorney for D.C. at the same point they were sending an elderly cancer patient to jail, this same U.S. attorney's office announced that they were dropping charges against 9 members of Stephen Colbert's production crew. Now, capitol police had caught this group of producers trespassing inside the longworth House office building on the evening of Thursday, June 16th. We brought it to you when it happened. So they were walking around the capitol complex without authorization. Parading, that's a crime. Now, capitol police had warned Colbert's producers that they were restricted area, but they ignored the warning from police. They returned anyway with the help of several members of Congress. That would include Adam Schiff and Jake auchincloss. But the other day, the U.S. attorney for D.C., a Biden appointee called Matthew graves, said that they're allowed to walk with no charges. So here are the new rules. If you're a regime propagandist, you can do whatever you want. You can trespass in the capitol. You won't be charged by Joe Biden's prosecutor. But if you're an elderly cancer patient who votes the wrong way, you go to prison. Those are two standards. One justice system. That's corruption.

There's there's unspoken rules about you know how close you should get right and and are you really putting yourself in danger and obviously if you're in broadcast media like yourself if you're on television obviously we want respect the gone if you will which means if there's a tornado warning in your area you probably shouldn't be outside trying to find the tornadoes. Not consecutively no and you know. I saw some comments about this yesterday on my facebook page contrary to popular belief again this is not normal. Heat anytime of the year. Right is word a mile elevation. We don't get one hundred degrees very often and people were like well. You know. I remember growing up. This happened once every other year. And while i understand that what people have to remember that goes back to the to the high impact events. We remember what we don't remember his all the time they didn't read. We tend to associate things. And try to normalize them where they're not normal at all so we're not gonna break the consecutive record. We're not gonna break the all time record but a hundred degrees in june. That's not normal. No and again today. We're going to be up there We start we start to cool off a little bit. Sorry we start calling off on friday. It'll be in the upper nineties near the century. Mark on thursday and then this ridge will flatten out and breakdown we'll start introducing some more monsoonal moisture into the state and we'll be back down into the upper eighties and low nineties starting friday so one of the things that we've been getting a lot of questions about and we've got a big agricultural base out here a lot of going on Drought is a major concern. Even though we've got decent moisture here in in northern colorado there's parts of the state that are just an an absurd drought right now Do you see any any any moisture in the the near future come from colorado good question so the short answer to that is yes. Okay the long answer is there's there's absolutely no skill involved in making long range. Seasonal forecast wrote you know we try to take climatology data or analog data stuff. That's happened in the past and see if we can find any similarities these wrens and try and forecast that for the future ultimately at the end of the day. Mother nature's going to do what she wants. And we have no say in that but based on the forecast models. I saw this morning once. This ridge flattens on friday and going into next week. You know bright around the start of stampede time right. That's when people should start keeping the ride the sky. I'm sure that makes a lot of the state paid workers very happy to hear to get there. Especially what taty. I'm sorry right. Climate climatology That does have an impact but again going back and looking at the data and trying to find correlations. Sometimes there just isn't any and we're just winging it as we go. You know we just had one of the wettest springs on record and with la nina a- if you look at the seasonal outlook on the forecast at all and that's why i tend to tell people there's no skill involved so when people pre in the farmer's almanac which drives me bonkers i just got to say hey take everything you read with a grain of salt and past ten days. "We're talking about income today. And that is certainly social Security pensions. If you're lucky enough to have one. How do we create income from our portfolio? What about real estate? How does that factor into this income? What about stock paying dividends? So we just have a dividend portfolio? What about annuities? There's so many moving parts and how to create income and we probably need 45 sources of income. To probably be a little bit more comfortable with our retirement, where 40% of Americans retired solely on Social Security. Well, they're doing a whole lot right because so scared. He's not gonna take care of everything. So if that's the case, then we really got us cut back and really budget and all of that makes a little bit more challenging. That's why the ideas Retirement is about income, not rate of return. It's about income. How much income do you need to maintain your lifestyle? And then do you have increasing income throughout Because of inflation? Things will cost more. And I think it's 2024 years, feeding 5000 Today in 2024 years, you need 10,000. Everything's gonna double. So let's go back to the pensions before we move into real estate and income from our portfolios and the like. And you, you know you have the ability to grow your money, create more income, But you bring risk in which a pension doesn't have And then what I do is I show people how we go about Taking that information and using the open market to get six or seven different offers that compare to your pension, and then we just list the benefits of the pension and list the benefits. Of the different options are out there in the open market and let you decide, and it's a simple process. And that's what I mean. By really good example. What we show that everybody out there should at least explore. So that's the bottom. Absolutely. So you think about the guaranteed world of income for retirement. So scary is one and certainly it could change but I don't really see that if you're you know, over 50, I think you're gonna be okay. Younger people. Yeah, but you think about it so security when you pass and you're married the lower of the two, So security's goes away. Now you keep the hire of the two. So you're taking a little hit their pensions. If he did the sole survivor ship will. Obviously that whole pension is gone as well. But if you did, let's do 50% passes on well, it's still a reduction for the surviving spouse. So even though those air guaranteed when you're looking at the bigger picture And so sometimes, if you'd go to the open market, take the lump sum. Now you create a little bit more of a legacy plan as well. There's just a lot of options and a lot of choices we have to make. And if you don't work in this world how the world you know what to do. That's why I think it's so important to sit down with something that actually works in the retirement world like mad and the team of the Paradigm group.
