Tucker Carlson: Two Standards, One Corrupt Justice System

"Patient. And the judge through the book at her. Here was Tucker's take on it last night on Fox News channel's Tucker Carlson tonight. The sentencing judge Lambert admitted he wanted to make an example out of the cell's lady woman. Why? Because he was frustrated that the defendant in a separate case made statements they were quote embarrassing to me. That actually happened. And therefore, because he was embarrassed by somebody else, Lambert decides to take it out on this elderly woman. And that's horrible. That's not justice. It's the opposite. And it gets worse. At the same time, this was happening. The U.S. attorney for D.C. at the same point they were sending an elderly cancer patient to jail, this same U.S. attorney's office announced that they were dropping charges against 9 members of Stephen Colbert's production crew. Now, capitol police had caught this group of producers trespassing inside the longworth House office building on the evening of Thursday, June 16th. We brought it to you when it happened. So they were walking around the capitol complex without authorization. Parading, that's a crime. Now, capitol police had warned Colbert's producers that they were restricted area, but they ignored the warning from police. They returned anyway with the help of several members of Congress. That would include Adam Schiff and Jake auchincloss. But the other day, the U.S. attorney for D.C., a Biden appointee called Matthew graves, said that they're allowed to walk with no charges. So here are the new rules. If you're a regime propagandist, you can do whatever you want. You can trespass in the capitol. You won't be charged by Joe Biden's prosecutor. But if you're an elderly cancer patient who votes the wrong way, you go to prison. Those are two standards. One justice system. That's corruption.

I'm just putting out ideas. Maybe we could do a car wash and raise money or have you tried that towel that you wrap in soak it in water and wrap around your neck. You're supposed to like not strangle yourself with it. But just like put the towel in the freezer and it gets cold ne- put around your neck and you stay cold hours afterwards. Yeah kitchens. it lasts about ten minutes. Ten minutes is better than zero. It's true that is very true. I will have to try that so you just get wet and let's get you. Don't even ask it in the freezer wet and then you just wrap it around your neck humid or the lack of humidity here won't cause the water to evaporate out.

"That that does that checks out in my book. And i don't have ever book for that checks out our four. Vip guesses cody wilson with denver. Front range of weather joining us today. how the hell do you remember all these dates. I mean you're just read a may fourth two thousand and how those just that big of an impact. I can't tell you what. I can't remember what ate for breakfast but i can tell you what happened with the jarrell texas tornado in nineteen ninety five. You're passionate it's it. Is you know when you're passionate about something. You're gonna tend to remember the significant dates in your the windsor twenty eight. Oh back in two thousand eight road will never forget that. Because we don't forget high impact events right nine. And i mean there's no such thing as a low impact tornado i don't care where pictures from everywhere popping up and i it's it's cool that now with the advancement of technology with our cell phones we can get really good footage of these tornadoes. You know from people who are right out there because these often happened in a lot of remote location. Absolutely and of course. There's there's unspoken rules about you know how close you should get right and and are you really putting yourself in danger and obviously if you're in broadcast media like yourself if you're on television obviously we want respect the gone if you will which means if there's a tornado warning in your area you probably shouldn't be outside trying to find the tornadoes. One of those rare extemporaneous circumstances where it was a lance about tornado was not moving very fast and it was. It was just beautiful you know. Obviously the the the damage to property and platt ville which miller farms you know our thoughts and prayers are with you guys and we never want to see negative impacts to life and property but this was just one of those things where you just stood outside and looked at it. And what are you kidding right but it just kind of popped up out of nowhere like you were talking about what those Those popcorn storms Let's let's talk now This this heat is ridiculous. It was one hundred and two yesterday. You're somewhere on their on. The heat index officially one hundred and one hundred one denver. One hundred four here in greeley. While we're we're going to be close to that again. Today's i wouldn't be surprised if we went above that now. The all time record here in greeley one hundred twelve. We're not gonna get to a good home and staying in the air conditioner. But anything above the hunter is just gross. Yeah that's that's a great way to put it. It's absolutely right especially for a guy like me. Man start sweating out there sweating and then all of a sudden it gets Gets a little rough but So we're going to break the record for the most days over one hundred degrees in june. Not consecutively no and you know. I saw some comments about this yesterday on my facebook page contrary to popular belief again this is not normal. Heat anytime of the year. Right is word a mile elevation. We don't get one hundred degrees very often and people were like well. You know. I remember growing up. This happened once every other year. And while i understand that what people have to remember that goes back to the to the high impact events. We remember what we don't remember his all the time they didn't read. We tend to associate things. And try to normalize them where they're not normal at all so we're not gonna break the consecutive record. We're not gonna break the all time record but a hundred degrees in june. That's not normal. No and again today. We're going to be up there We start we start to cool off a little bit. Sorry we start calling off on friday. It'll be in the upper nineties near the century. Mark on thursday and then this ridge will flatten out and breakdown we'll start introducing some more monsoonal moisture into the state and we'll be back down into the upper eighties and low nineties starting friday so one of the things that we've been getting a lot of questions about and we've got a big agricultural base out here a lot of going on Drought is a major concern. Even though we've got decent moisture here in in northern colorado there's parts of the state that are just an an absurd drought right now Do you see any any any moisture in the the near future come from colorado good question so the short answer to that is yes. Okay the long answer is there's there's absolutely no skill involved in making long range. Seasonal forecast wrote you know we try to take climatology data or analog data stuff. That's happened in the past and see if we can find any similarities these wrens and try and forecast that for the future ultimately at the end of the day. Mother nature's going to do what she wants. And we have no say in that but based on the forecast models. I saw this morning once. This ridge flattens on friday and going into next week. You know bright around the start of stampede time right. That's when people should start keeping the ride the sky. I'm sure that makes a lot of the state paid workers very happy to hear to get there. Especially what taty. I'm sorry right. Right at the joe manager there for sure but so talk to me about Low nina and el nino do do those play. Are those gonna play an impact in this year. It'll so we're currently in la nina pattern. Which means the water in the equatorial pacific is colder than average. And when we say colder that's we observe ocean temperatures and You know that's again. That's analog data. Climate climatology That does have an impact but again going back and looking at the data and trying to find correlations. Sometimes there just isn't any and we're just winging it as we go. Is that kind of where you're at right now. Is that where we're at right now. You know we just had one of the wettest springs on record and with la nina a- if you look at the seasonal outlook on the forecast at all and that's why i tend to tell people there's no skill involved so when people pre in the farmer's almanac which drives me bonkers i just got to say hey take everything you read with a grain of salt and past ten days. I don't give it any attention whatsoever. Cody wilson denver and for range weather Give him a like on facebook. I'm sure we're going to be having you back on again in the very near future. "Twelve cents a barrel and bitcoin at thirty nine thousand three hundred the wells fargo investment institute out with their mid-year outlook. It was just released yesterday afternoon. It predicts and intensified economic recovery. Continuing until or i should say into next year. Inflation taxes and interest rates are a concern but the outlook says they appear very unlikely to douse the economic recovery or to alter our preferences for defensive and growth oriented stocks. That's according to again. The wells fargo investment institute. Pretty interesting yeah. It is and i think investors should take note of something like that because the news. You know if you don't follow this in-depth if you don't follow it with a long term perspective and you don't keep those things in mind when you hear the news you're likely to fall victim to my clients. All the time are calling me worried about inflation worried about interest rates rising and yet the fed over and over and over and over again says there will not be need to raise interest rates until two thousand twenty three. Now let's see what j. paul says today will vary from that if he does. There could be a market pullback. I don't think it would be major. But there could be. But i don't think he'll vary from that i think he's going to parse his words very carefully agreed the what about the art of the taper as we discussed yesterday. Do you expect him. To actually bring that up that coming tapering of its bond buying program. He may mention it but remember what we said yesterday. And this you know when you when you see how the general media reacts to this as superficial is that will be. Remember the in-depth briefing. We gave you yesterday as a result of a listener Question i got from gentlemen. Tim north If he may well mentioned that tapering the bond buying program twenty billion dollars. A month is in the future but they couldn't even start it until late this year and it would take months and months.

"One trinidad now. It's important to note. Disclaimers always do apply that several cities were not included on the full list because well they did not submit a complete crime report to the fbi this according to say flies pueblo is one location not included on this list that does have historically notoriously high crime rate and according to k dvr pueblo has the highest rate of violent crime among the states. Cities with an estimated wapping one thousand one hundred and forty two point. Oh eight violent crimes. Now this per one hundred thousand residents in twenty twenty and eleven point four violent crime rate on the safe wise lists which is higher than any other city in the state and had it bid included. It is very very likely that pueblo would have been a contender to top the most dangerous cities of list compiled by safe wise in colorado in twenty twenty one but safest cities got love. Yeah definitely they did this morning in futures trading all morning and really are little changed now so the question is what is jerome powell. Report to the public. Going to reveal or not reveal and this comes after the feds two day quarterly meeting. Well the fed is not not expected to take or change any policy actions anytime soon but powell is likely to say that they are thinking about it thinking about it not even talking about it but thinking about it. Powell is likely to mention. He may mention a future tapering of the fed's bond buying program and he will comment on the updated fed economic forecasts. And that may include the mention of a possible interest rate hike in twenty twenty three. That's two full years from now. So the markets they pulled back from record levels yesterday and the major averages were mostly flat in futures trading this morning the dow industrial average right now down about thirty points at thirty four thousand to sixty the s&p five hundred is down just a fraction. Colbert seemed a little taken aback. When stewart revealed that he thinks the covid nineteen did. Indeed emanate from that lab That wuhan institute of barack in china. I have to admit i was a bit surprised. Too but Stewart was on fire particularly with his opening salvo. He said. I think we owe a great debt of gratitude. What go bare responded by saying and the surprise was readily evident in his voice. Do you mean perhaps. There's a chance that this was created in a lab and that's where john stewart went off. "Yep as i mentioned during traffic this morning. we're still in the grip of that high pressure. Dome think of it as a heat engine bringing record breaking temperatures across the state and believe it or not. It's still spring. Summer doesn't officially arrive until nine. Thirty two pm. On sunday making sunday the final day of spring and expect those high temperatures to stick around through thursday when we cold fronts rolls through on into friday morning making temps making tampa a little bit more comfy with friday's highs expected to be in the upper eighties and that trend will continue throughout the weekend. Expect a high eighties low nineties. It sounds pretty refreshing now. Doesn't it but oh my gosh they heat. Are you surviving this one hundred and one degrees yesterday in fort collins hundred and four now i've seen reports of anywhere between one hundred to one hundred and four in greeley yesterday. I mean what difference does a couple of degrees make i mean. We are sweltering now highs. Today are expected. Despite meteorologist. Chris tomer saying low. One hundred highs are expected to hit ninety nine. Could get into Those triple digits and fort collins and one hundred and one in greeley but again asking the question. How are you beating the heat. Russia's president putin already gotten their highly anticipated summit underway and futon not opting for gamesmanship. This time around even showing up on time. That's something Kind of out of the ordinary for him because well he does like to pull those power plays. Apparently it was several years ago that he showed up not a little bit later. Not fashionably late. But he's showed up four hours late for the summit but no he was on time this morning again. This as a this long anticipated geneva summit finally underway. Question is will president as advertised. You remember was just days ago when he was asked about whether he would address these cyber attacks and other issues with president putin to include election meddling when president biden said. Well i'm gonna tell him what i want to tell him. Yeah it's a moment. A pretty high stakes. Diplomacy diplomacy this at a time when both leaders agree that relations between russia and the united states pretty much at an all time low because well it's been multiple months at least four months at.

Israel Responds To "Arson Balloons" With Airstrikes on Gaza

"Started up again in the gaza strip this morning for the first time. Since the end of last month's fighting it all started when the new israeli government allowed a far-right jewish march to pass through palestinian areas of jerusalem in response the palestinian militant group hamas sent arsim balloons into southern israel. They sparked several fires so israel's military says it then launched airstrikes in the gaza strip. Those strikes reportedly struck military compounds. palestinian news reports. Say one of the strike's did cause damage but so far there are no reports of any deaths still. It's concerning for a lot of people in the region since gaza has just barely begun to recover from last month's fighting that's when the united nations says at least two hundred. Fifty palestinians and thirteen israelis were killed and more than sixteen thousand homes in gaza. Were damaged now. This latest violence comes just three days into the new israeli government. Remember israeli prime minister bennett was just sworn into office on sunday. And he's reportedly under tremendous pressure from his party be tough on hamas however the u. n. is asking all sides to avoid any actions that might lead to more

"We're talking about income today. And that is certainly social Security pensions. If you're lucky enough to have one. How do we create income from our portfolio? What about real estate? How does that factor into this income? What about stock paying dividends? So we just have a dividend portfolio? What about annuities? There's so many moving parts and how to create income and we probably need 45 sources of income. To probably be a little bit more comfortable with our retirement, where 40% of Americans retired solely on Social Security. Well, they're doing a whole lot right because so scared. He's not gonna take care of everything. So if that's the case, then we really got us cut back and really budget and all of that makes a little bit more challenging. That's why the ideas Retirement is about income, not rate of return. It's about income. How much income do you need to maintain your lifestyle? And then do you have increasing income throughout Because of inflation? Things will cost more. And I think it's 2024 years, feeding 5000 Today in 2024 years, you need 10,000. Everything's gonna double. So let's go back to the pensions before we move into real estate and income from our portfolios and the like. Because I know you do a cool thing at the luncheon Learn which, by the way is June 16th on income PG retirement dot com All of the events to happen, you can sign up right there on the Web site. No cost for this but pension. You have a cool thing that you'll really be showing people on June 16th. Yeah, because I get a lot of questions right? Because a lot of companies and big companies have offered buyouts. So the question is, I can take this lump sum or I can't take this much income. And then you look at single income and you look at you know, spousal benefits that are survivorship. What's it called? And those two amounts and really all a pension is is you take the lump sum and you knew ties it and you get a payment If you take the payment. If you get a lump sum, you've been transferred to an IRA and invest it. So I go through the equation of whether you invest it and return and how much income getting that produce and you go through that process. And you, you know you have the ability to grow your money, create more income, But you bring risk in which a pension doesn't have And then what I do is I show people how we go about Taking that information and using the open market to get six or seven different offers that compare to your pension, and then we just list the benefits of the pension and list the benefits. Of the different options are out there in the open market and let you decide, and it's a simple process. And that's what I mean. By really good example. What we show that everybody out there should at least explore. So that's the bottom. Absolutely. So you think about the guaranteed world of income for retirement. So scary is one and certainly it could change but I don't really see that if you're you know, over 50, I think you're gonna be okay. Younger people. Yeah, but you think about it so security when you pass and you're married the lower of the two, So security's goes away. Now you keep the hire of the two. So you're taking a little hit their pensions. If he did the sole survivor ship will. Obviously that whole pension is gone as well. But if you did, let's do 50% passes on well, it's still a reduction for the surviving spouse. So even though those air guaranteed when you're looking at the bigger picture And so sometimes, if you'd go to the open market, take the lump sum. Now you create a little bit more of a legacy plan as well. There's just a lot of options and a lot of choices we have to make. And if you don't work in this world how the world you know what to do. That's why I think it's so important to sit down with something that actually works in the retirement world like mad and the team of the Paradigm group. They're independent so they can help you in the insurance world. And they work with a whole slew full of insurance companies. Life insurance annuities Do they make sense? Do they not make sense? They work with a ton of different, you know, Stocks, bonds, mutual phones, all those E T s all those things you can get from the investment world and they're just tools to help you don't Don't really get infatuated with him. It's about how do.
