"So did you immediately. There's a There's a lot of other sweet home. Oh, sure, sure, from the blues brothers and such that you got to get through, but You know, Uh, I appreciate you're describing your You know your enthusiasm and your reaction. We really set out from the very beginning to make this a music video celebration. Chicago. And our which diverse and world renowned, no questioning arts community. How did you start? I mean, it's a lot. It's It's hundreds of phone calls. I would imagine involved in this to find People and you. You go after people you admire, I would think is sometimes people you know, I know you and Jim Belushi has remained a friend of yours ever since you put him in the film about like, yes. Yeah, Jim with the first Yes on, but it just It humbled like, Yeah, But the great thing is that between Scott and his partner Mat Hoffman and Mark Larsen, who interviewed everybody write his book ensemble and Jessie and myself. We've all collectively had decades in this, uh, in the entertainment industry, both in Chicago and nationally. And so we all had what used to be called Roland Axis that they feel what is it now? Come content. It's called contents, and we started there and we didn't have. I mean it was It just grew and grew and grew. I mean, a lesson three minute song turned into six minutes. We could have turned into an hour film. Now, see, I would bet, Jesse, this was Ah, Hard. Jessie and Jason Britain. Jesse Norman. This was a hard Thing to sort of keep together because there are so many people doing so many kinds of different things in different places. But to make it is visually compelling, let alone You hold together as a song must have been astonishing challenge. Yeah, Jeffy created an incredible narrative arc. That's his theater back. You should talk about it. Well, because it's not all some of the images are larger and smaller. And you know you've got a chef and itjust Jesse. What was the town was the biggest challenge in this for you. Editing. Yeah, definitely. The interesting thing was, you know, we from the start. We laid just basic instrumental track in a couple of days with some very close friends and collaborators of mine. Who I do, eh? Were, you know interested in helping out but he also had home recording Greek All right, all right, all right, and could do this at the drop of a hat. So within like, four or five days, chatting with Jason about it. We had like this basic track in our hands ready to send out to Many, many people, you know, some who and basically we just cast a very wide bed. But we didn't really look at the stuff until we closed the submissions because I started looking at things as they would come in and You would see something I want to use that and then I mean, we got so much stuff that among at all of it in the end with just this massive task of kind of finding all of the best gift that each of these performers gave to us fighting for them and fitting them in and making this this really collaborative celebration and That was the goal. Just use all of these wonderful talents and wonderful people and all the little unique. You know, little spices and gifts that they gave us in and all of the different places that just try to make a narrative and tell a bit of a story and way ended up elongating the piece and we just got so much amazing stuff. Well, it's a Jesse also built built in some places, some placeholders to accomodate things that we didn't know what we were going to get right around right certain collaborators, for example, Twister Who nailed it just killed there with with a rap with the first round. And then Ryan who Att the period at the end of the sentence that pulls it all together. Yeah, I mean, these guys deliver way had conferences with them about the spirit of what we were going for about the the feel and the message that we're trying to send of ensemble and that we're all in this together, but On and they just They just blew us away. So you know, I I still I watched it again today. Sure, another interview and I was just I should go with a smile on my face because you go. So now you have Randy Lewis. You got legends. They're like Ramsey, Lewis and Andre The Shield joining thing and Julia Julia Louis Dreyfus, and then you get superstars George Royal Barton, Pine and George. The best thing you will hear all day today Or perhaps all week is the Remarkable, sweet home Chicago creative musical collage. That has been put together by Jason Bread and just Norman and Mark Larsen and dozens and dozens of performers and other behind scenes, people. The response to this so far, one did it as they say in the business. When did it dropped this week? Yes. Yeah, On Thursday. I think by noon on Thursday it was already it already racism, some meaningful money, which is great and And had thousands of views and on YouTube, and I think it's It's north of 34,000 views right now and just into days, But more than anything else, the Respond to spend great and funny enough. I mean, I even heard from people that you know that I wouldn't have expected you to have known about this, including an old friend, Ed Zwick, who was shot last night. The Raider, right? Yeah. And who saw it and ah, Sherry Lansing and Wow. You know, I mean, and the The two toes have have come in, you know, And that makes us feel good, too, because it means that it's uh, it's radiating way that we wanted to before, So I'm going to play a few minutes. I'm going to play by three minutes of it, but Did you hear from anybody? You two characters Jason, Britain, Justine over and saying Hey one, you let me I wanted to be in that. Did you hear any of that? Like I said, it could have been an hour, you know, because I even.

"Into a bag right now we we we cycle through anxiety around here like I think people are recycling through anxiety at home but here it is a lot indeed there Sears seven ideas I'm not gonna give ya seven but they're kind of surprising ways to just get you to relax okay just to get you relax chewing gum this is rare okay researchers in Japan found that test subjects asked to chew mint flavored gum twice a day for fourteen days reported lower levels of anxiety and mental complete we're gonna need a lot more gum I don't know if if there's another and I've got my got to get some it's a powerful stress busters I don't look at baseball yep that's what they say yeah right the everyday vigorous chewing of gum by a pitcher or something and just how your old shoes shoes some gum and I know I know I have I I like to chew gum if I'm doing a project we loved and I love bubble gum no Wrigley's yeah the yellow one and just for security are you having that's it only lasts a good second but I'm going to buy some gum yeah on the way home so this is a a stress reliever people just dont but only if there's no one else at the store and they said Matt Marshall stop it meant the flavor gum so choose not gonna do that everyday another one is to yuk it up this is according to Mayo Clinic laughter can be a great stress of form a stress relief stimulating circulation adding muscle relaxation enhancing the intake of oxygen rich air increasing endorphins in your brain in improving your immune I like that it's in dolphins yeah indoor for a minor in Spanish when things are in the office that's a good no worries saying okay yarn bombing at knitting it meditate okay netting the Emily blunt last week when it seems like you know when she was promoting the quiet man was like the beginning middle of last week because it was supposed to open today and she was on either Seth Meyers or Jimmy Kimmel I think it was Carol and she said well my husband John Krasinski enters our beautiful accent is because they they were talking about the corona virus were they were talking about and she said he's learned something for my daughter and she brings out like a bag of yarn and it's like little finger yep it these things do you do with your hands don't remember making those the you go in and out each finger and then you go back around in the background in the fly out yeah and so he there were all kinds of women there and so she said that was something that he did in the downtime on the quiet place too and she was trying to show Jimmy and he was absolutely helpless I'm sorry I haven't check get you checked in with police thanks guys for me right now I am a license number I am at I I did watch the Jimmy Kimmel you had Julia Julia Louis Dreyfus on it it just got a little long always do where they scapin each other yeah yeah that was like Ellen laying on our couch pretending that she was bored calling all over celebrity friends and I just stopped watching when she called Justin Rayner lake I I will never let go.

"Booze of the week okay that's not the O. O. Z. eat it up no as in both all dealing with the Astros first of all owner Jim Corrine who actually said the electronic device did not have an impact on the game that was ridiculous totally ridiculous all manner of the G. he then there's astro shortstop Carlos Cordero who backed by the way was born Carlos Carrera Oppenheimer yeah his mother was sandy bell Oppenheimer yes do not he said Jose Altuve they didn't take off his Jersey after the home run off a roll this Chapman was not because he had a buzzer attached to his body but he had an ugly unfinished tad tune Warner's collar bone that explains it and I didn't want people to see it well it well and did commissioner number three rob man free old check out to maybe to see if he had the unfinished sad to know he said it's it's something I haven't thought about manatee and hearts and flowers I mean this is terrible man freed says wait a minute sympathy for the players if you watch the players faces they're dealing with what they have had to deal with they've already paid a price I don't know why he's getting a lot of grief in a lot of quarters rob man for the commissioner of baseball that he to because he didn't in a penalize any of the players that was thought that he would want to challenge the players union but my goodness yeah yeah word with a Hank Aaron said they should be thrown out for life my route the great angels player very critical of the S. those players in all I can think of it's a good thing judge can a shawl Landes run band the white Sox white Sox black Sox scandal he's not commissioner because the guys would be gone political Hey wait a minute how about Yankees newly acquired right hander Gerrit Cole display he was sitting in the astro dug out for two years on the days he wasn't pitching many times he knows nothing about it I don't know why would a bag of the garbage can I were making music I don't know but here's the final here's the question maybe for your friend a Jeffrey Lichtman who's a big Ole yes fan yeah yes criminal attorney yeah all their enough disgruntled opposing pitchers who were cheated out of earnings and even sent to the minors to file a class action suit for damages an unfair business practices will this one guy who who apparently picks against the Astros was terrible got sent down never made it back and he is suing big time but I think he he wants the money to go to charities and things but there is at least one pitcher who's come for now the other question is are these pictures on other teams in the throat the Astros players for spite once the season begins well that's interesting you bring it up Las Vegas has odds for everything including this one the average team was hit sixty six times last year by purchase their over under this year for the Astros Hodges eighty three times yeah so Hey how much is the former red Sox right fielder Mookie Betts worth to the Vegas odds make well he was just the traded to the Dodgers right before the Dodgers acquired bets the Dodgers were six to one to win the World Series with the acquisition of bets there are now three and a half to one really one layer and based on really yeah and the Yankees who were five to one before they got Gerrit Cole are now three to one well I can see a picture having a big effect I don't know interesting the one player would have that any any good movies though the Oscars are done you soon even did see one but you see it was terrible what was it what was down hill the Julia Julia Louis Dreyfus and the will Ferrell move yes a scale of one to ten I would give it a Z. minus that's and I knew it was going bad I went to a two thirty show yesterday were only five other people in that the postal movie at two thirty you old people in Florida the water did you read the reviews they were great for it no yes our guide Joe knew Martin thing was too bad I was going to do said no we don't lose these Friday the movie was only an hour and a half and that was too long you know I feel bad I felt bad for a will Farrell I mean he's a clever gadis see usually very funny he reminded me of a poor man's Chevy Chase I could see that and I'll tell you another thing they don't play off each other the two of them rarely a Louis Dreyfus and will Ferrell so if you say so so warning you read the review and says this movie sucks so you said I'm going to see it anyway two thirty the afternoon most of it with the weather bad yesterday what was going on what what what well there is some this is worse I saw the previews coming attractions yeah five movies I will never seen in my life and they are all all five were horror films involving kids or teenagers why would why would a link that up with that movie is same studio I guess is why they do the previews but that's easy guys talking about squeegee yes yeah and and how out of touch land is about I just said I was heard by which showed why parotid they they though dot to come over I I did the same thing really can't coming in the same time as you did to accuracy yeah you have to write and did it work for you well I used to to the west side highway getting off at the west fifty seventh street sure so if you were stopped it was stoplight eerie calms the squeezing guy hi the same guy anything really messed up he would mess up my windshield I turn on the wipers like land nice sometimes say no thanks or I would let him do it say thank you and not paying that would discourage you all right no it didn't so one day hi you know it's one of those I just got fed up here he is again you know when you tell somebody no they shouldn't try to force it on you true so I tell him no and he still does it I got so man I got out of the call Warner big mistake yeah and grabbed his squeegee stick well and here we are on the west side highway wrestling I wish you had iPhones back then power man I'd love to see that one of the design and throws Dick into the Hudson River the light changes enrollment in the home the car's home phone I get back in the car I go home at the at the late show tell my wife she said you know what that problem that guy maybe he recognized you and he could be waiting for you to mark to sue you if you got so you know what the next day when a different way I drove all I drove down and he didn't do anything and he says to me how come you didn't try to grab my stick I said I'm not made today yeah that was in wow wow show down a Black Rock with Warner as spent a C. "Twenty sentence when I set out news of the day ready yeah a lawyer who gained fame by representing porn star stormy Daniels in lawsuits against president trump has been convicted of trying to extort Nike it would have been parity at that point we've been following of course the corona virus story a United Airlines flight from San Francisco was placed on lockdown after it landed in London today passengers on board complained about having corona virus symptoms passengers were told by the captain to stay in their seats because someone might have the contagious infection which I did you know it's got a another name now it goes instead of covert nineteen or corona virus or Novell corona virus your pangolin flu it's the thing that's going to wipe us all out it's called sars C. O. V. dash to why do we keep renaming won't just cold coronavirus and be done with that I know it's it's a general term but I think everybody is so comfortable using it thirteen hundred and eighty deaths among sixty four thousand cases in China Iowa Democratic Party officials are hiring two high profile lawyers to figure out what happened on the **** as chaos front they're gonna dig into how they screwed up did you see that the guys quit too the the state yep party director quit yeah he had twelve they said well listen it's Valentine's day and for those of us who have somebody to share Valentine's day with maybe movies is the way the all share with yourself you can do whatever you want coming to us from the hot tub where he always reside sometimes it's sometimes it's shorts sometimes sit you know trunks sometimes it's other beach where that chasing Nathanson don's it's nice out today beautiful draws women's pants are no pants okay so I'm I'm turning up in here it's it's been awhile sorry but yet we're going we're going the pants today because it's it's a nice day the weather is changing Hey did you see all that talk about Jim Carrey and his sonic the hedgehog interview with the bucket list thing I did write a eat it I mean it depends were all very sensitive now about what happens it in these interviews and how people especially celebrities are talking to women and if you take what he said in one way she asked him because there's a in the movie there's a thing about we what's on your bucket list so she asks you know question about what's on your bucket list what do you have left to do and he replies you and if you take it the wrong way it could be seen like she's saying that she wants to do and that's that's what's on his bucket list but also if you look at it another way he could be meeting the interview with you that's all that's left on my bucket list needs being kinda charming at least that's what his publicist said that he meant but everybody's a little sensitive right now they'll be looking at things it with different eye glasses in and seeing you know our people being smarmy in in weird and sexual or are they just trying to be you know flirty and charming is it was sonic the hedgehog worth a full press tour yeah well I mean any movie is because when you invested you know millions and millions tens of millions hundreds of millions of dollars in a movie you got to get the word out there and you know Jim Carey is a is a guy that generates headlines a lot of the time so you want your stars to be interviewed for the movie and and get stuff out there the movie itself you know it's had some problems of course when the first trailer was revealed and sonic had very human like peace and people were very freaked out by it and the reduced studio paramount responded and said we've got a change some stuff so they took they took some time to go back to the special effects in the change the teeth and cutting his lanky long look in the they put his eyes closer together to make them a little more cartoon liking and cuter and it looks like it might it might have worked the because it's going to top the box office this weekend it could head towards fifty million dollars it had three million dollars in previews last night which is a decent but the movie itself eight great I mean I don't know I I've played sonic the hedgehog when I was a kid on the Sega and I enjoyed it I don't know that I need a movie and Jim Carey I mean two camps of him I like the Truman show Jim Carrey I like eternal sunshine of the spotless mind Jim Carey I don't like over the top ace Ventura Jim Carey and this is very very much over the top Jim Carrey plays the evil Dr Robotnik in here and he is a lot to handle this with there have been a bad reviews I've seen for this will Ferrell Julia Julia Louis Dreyfus says situation of marriage comedy called down hill yes arable reviews I've seen them in some okay reviews and then some terrible reviews basin yeah mostly getting mixed reviews it's weird because this is a it's a it's a comedy with will Ferrell usually that's a big opening you know you get you'd make a lot of money and Julia Louis Dreyfus as well to fantastic comic actors but it's not getting great reviews it's a remake of a two thousand fourteen Swedish black comedy and it's basically this family and they go to take on a ski vacation in the Alps and there's an avalanche and during the idle and this is all in the trailers are not giving anything away really there in the in during the avalanche the the snow is coming down and will Ferrell's character instead of saving his family in shepherding them to safety he grabs his phone and and takes off and that kind of turns into you know is this marriage are we compatible is it working out and it goes from there it's it's it's a dark comedy it's rated all our and it's not gonna make a lot of money this we can look at maybe four million dollars or the or the estimates and that's that's a really low bank that's only four million more than you're gonna make this weekend fantasy I fantasy island really have to talk about it looks horrible the bloom house people put together some very questionable movies but the photograph that looks good that that's if you're into you know love and say that's the most Valentine's the day style movie isn't it all right yeah if you're looking for something to take the loved one to photographs would probably be the best of all the options either raise stars in that she's from in secure on HBO she's the creator and star of that she's a fantastic voice in the industry right now very funny and up and coming stars against l'equipe Stanfield who is also one of those kind of up and coming a very popular actors you got Chelsea Peretti in here a little raw power he and Courtney B. Vance leave a great cast and this also getting very good reviews probably gonna make around fifteen million or so this weekend same is around fantasy island and and fantasy island you're right I mean they didn't preview it for critics so there were no reviews before that and they also strangely didn't have Thursday night previews is usually you know movies open on Friday but you can go Thursday night and with a horror movie they didn't have that either so that tells me that they're scared of it but we'll see what happens this week well remember keep the water bubbly and the speed out of your peach crease J. ABS wall but what if I like it might be true I don't yeah well like just recorded thanks a Saturday no I I left some I looked him dead air on the end of that.

"Love the global awareness we've created and we all some sex scandal and made it a movement as opposed to just kind of going away the the harvey thing it just really changed not only our industry but all industries when we launched we be united with farm workers restaurant workers domestic workers hotel workers fast food workers. I mean the women everywhere encounter sexual harassment at a crazy <hes> percentage and so i think the global awareness <hes> to talk about it first yes and then to make sure shifting moment. The gender pay gap has to be the biggest thing right now right. It's so big thing. I mean for for us in europe because you know <hes> in in california we're in new york and new york is much less progressive state than california right so for all of us. I think in new york we were proudest that cuomo has just adopted the the time's up safety agenda which extends statute of limitations on sexual assaults. That's it's great which is a really really small here so so we we really feel proud of what we've done till it's very good the go-to alexa from new york hi alexa. What's your question handy <hes>. If i love you i'm doing it. I love you to my questions for actually on <hes> hats to on. Have your kids or will they ever see your mortgage. Fan movies like boogie nights or are they like absolutely not you mom how not pedophilia oh god no no no no first of all the thing about kids. They're not interested in anything you do right so so happily it's never been it's never been an issue <music> but they do have limited interest in what you do. They wanna see you as a mom and i think that they do know that there are some movies that they want to stay away from because it's gonna make the male one you want to say and they're there. There are seventeen and twenty one so they can make a very conscious choice about it. Well it's game time. Internet internet is only five foot two inches tall which means she packs more talent per inch than most people but she also has to do things like this while directing you posted that photo i love it. Let's honor eva pint-size beers with around are shorter than either. It's easy. I'm going to show oh you a female celebrity. You will both gossip. They are shorter than eva. Ladies of this takes feel huge. It's just because the subjects are so tiny. Let's play okay okay. Kristen bell is she shorter than eba ladies. Yes shorter no no. She's not okay. Let's see what i do believe. He's waste eight. You agree julianne. She's five feet tall okay. She is is fighting cardi b. Is she shorter than she is a little taller ooh okay what about the queen of country dolly parton is she. Shorter and evil might be my height. I think she's she's the city of those platforms. She is shorter that he owns okay. What about courtney carshield. Is she shorter than eva she she seems told me and my the shortest i love it. How do you let's ruby. She is jada pinkett against smith okay. She is. She's five feet theory. Washington is now she's they're going to do. What natalie portman is she shorter. I think the aim <music> four she using in schaller julia julia louis dreyfus taller taller unused guzman directed this film and so any love scenes to to be jealous over air zone. I had to kiss his best friend in the bathtub but it seemed fine with hosting i know all right but he he wrote. This is an adaptation of a danish film the same name and we also produce this together so really yeah something. "And so it just seems like a real miscarriage of justice for like I would prefer a blinking snub to this particular combination of nominations so that's interesting. I was surprised that <hes> homecoming the Amazon on series didn't get nominations. I'm especially in opera. Julia Roberts because you know it doesn't feel like that long ago whenever that when a giant celebrity made a T._v.. Show it was a big deal <hes> and it was like Oh my God. Can you believe it doesn't feel like they're stooping to do ATV but it still feels like a surprise <hes> and yeah homecoming wasn't particularly buzzy. I think that maybe Kinda had a brief moment and then sort of receded into the General Scrum of P T._v.. But still you know when Julia Roberts can't get an emmy nomination that just shows how competitive the market is and just how many shows there are yet it is interesting because fleabag <hes> kind of launched Amazon to a good year you know with Mazel and fleabag they've kind of they've got to back to back yeah all Maazel nominations. It got the most nominations after game of thrones <hes> which I guess just show Sonia that you and I are D- what the only people who didn't likes listen to this surprising to me. I don't understand what they see it but this really does go back to this whole thing about their now. They're locked in there watching the show Oh and then it's like there's just so much more room to give them some leeway. I guess with me with talent with style. It still looks beautiful. I'll give and they also like nominated like I don't think Luke Kirby got a nomination for the first season but he plays Lenny Bruce Awesome is really great like a it gives room for the deep bench of people who are on that show right. Yes it's not just Rachel rows ahead and Alex Abortion and actually speaking of House of cards <hes> Robin Rate and Michael Kelly Net nominated which again I think indicates that like even when these shows our lake disgraced or ending cancelled or whatever when people are locked in when when voters are locked in there still watching these shows they care about yeah. I think I think that was kind of like a I was somewhat expecting robin right to get nomination as a sort of like good job you for soldiering. I don't know I don't know rhapsody thing like usurp. The bad man mission you've got rid of the Batman and you carry it on Youtube Michael Kelly you did it. I don't know the I did want to talk about something that that Mike in Mike's Absence I was on the Mike loves to talk about which is the like double triple threats or whatever they get nominated so Jason Bateman getting nominated for acting and directing Natasha Leeann getting nominated for acting and writing for Russian doll phoebe while bridge acting and reading fleabag Bill Hader directing writing enacting berry and these these triple double threats are the people that Mike Lakes Assay often win like it's why you see like sort of like Donald Glover's. I'm like you know like a ah the when someone has so many talents brimming over so many talents that the television county often likes to award them with a win but do we think in that actress category and the Comedy Series Actors category does anyone have actual actual shot against Julian louis-dreyfuss or is this just like sort of the victory lap for Julia and veep. I think that the moon would have to crash before anybody one that emmy besides Julia Julia Louis Dreyfus Yeah. It's really hard to imagine especially because she didn't win. Last year like Richard Brosnahan got her year to try it so it doesn't feel as exhausting as it might have if it were just a nonstop streak. It's not just the cheapest great. It's not just the Julia Louis Dreyfus Great. It's that that it was last season's that she had cancer. The narrative is all the lineup of actresses who were nominated leg. It's such an amazing group of people like it is just exciting to think about the mall in one place and like Tasha Leone talking if he'd be waller bridge edge talking to Catherine O'Hara oh my God Catherine O'Hara getting nominated Hillary mentioned Shits Creek at the top but like we talked a little bit about it last week is a show that kind of got bumped.
