"I gotta say julia would. He have In the category of delayed dollar hopefully not too short. I finally got around to watching party down. Ma d series from about ten years ago. Which when you watch it now is just a who who have incandescent comedic talents who've gone onto huge things since then It was on stars. Which i think is. Why didn't see it at the time it is about a catering service in hollywood. La populated by aspiring out of work actors and other people between. And it's just great. It's just as great as you've ever heard so if you haven't gotten around to it it's easily available now on hulu Quite enjoyable late pandemic stream. And i think lots of other people must be discovering it on hulu or there's some data to show there's audience there because it was just announced a month ago. I think that they're making some kind of follow up special or showcase or something or other so if you never got around to it like me but you think it's the sort of thing you might like you definitely will as many pleasures and i recommend so good such a pact cast. It's just crazy to watch that now. I'm not familiar with it. So throw out some names who was who was on. Oh you told me. Some adam scott is on it. Who else julia adam. Scott jane lynch martin star lizzy caplan can marino. It's just it you know. A kristen bell shows up. I think at some point. It's it i'm still at the beginning of it but Maim molly like there's no. Nobody's in it who's not a major comedic name assembly and the guest stars are crazy. I just watched an episode. Where like kevin hart j. k. Simmons that it's just it's it's jam packed with talent and comedic talent and well worth your time. That sounds very cool. Okay well dan you and i feel like you and i are locked in this kind of You know battle to find ever more obscure which you're folk shunt. His is and like. I started with varsity bunion which i really thought set the bar very high and you said i see your bunion and i raise you civil by air. I love civil by air. But i see or civil by air and i raise you and briggs do you know and briggs no not at all. So here's the journey. I took to an briggs. There's a song by richard thompson. The great english folk who still going strong but was part of fair port convention. I mean really the genius behind fair port convention back in the sixties just a tremendous singer songwriter and a guitar virtuoso and songwriter. A song a songwriters songwriter to end all songwriters songwriter. And he has he has a song. That's actually. i don't think it's all that old. Certainly within the last for thomson model that old in the last fifteen twenty years but maybe ten called bee's wing and it's just he such an advocate of storyteller and it's about presumably about him and a young woman that he was close with in the sixties who was as abuse wing and who was not thoroughly beautiful and talented but somehow just too good for the world. "The. I don't want to sound insensitive here. But let me ask you this turtle boy and debut patriots fans or your the jets or you the dolphins and there's a really good young quarterback out there but it didn't seem to make sense for the texans to trade him and the price was really really high. Now that you find out that he's been inappropriate with a very allegedly with various Massage therapists inside. He's that and it's a little disturbing because he he had a pretty good record. He seemed like a good character guy. Any might still be. Maybe this is all a setup but now if you haven't heard the latest is the lawyer tony busby who was a alleging that the shawn watson was inappropriate with two masseuses now. Says there will be six. They will be more If this thing duh if this thing snowballs the way it often does the way it is his way. We're watching in real time as it happens in new york With the governor with the scummy governor if this happens to the texans quarterback is that good because then the texans will feel compelled to deal him out of houston and the price will go down because the price right now is pretty high. It's too well. I look at these sexual misconduct stories and say what are the sports implications. I mean that's awful but you're a patriots fan right turtle boy everything right. Yeah julia adam and got accused. Same nonsense what years ago. How'd that work more than that. And he was innocent. And i will just say i don't want to review it but we were literally talking to a police officer in the morning off. The air as the story was breaking. He was giving us the real story and telling us what happened and he just said he is. It is it is not true and eshelman. Never it never really stuck with and this might not stick with shawn watson. Let's hope so. Let's hope so. Let's say let's say it does. Do you want to be the team. That acquired an abso. It's scumbag before innocent until proven guilty. But it's You don't want to be ninety. i don't wanna be the guy but bella check is proven that he is He has no soul he's a killer. He's an assassin it cold blooded assassin and maybe he looks at himself and says maybe he says you know these. These charges are legitimate. There's nothing there. And he's he gets the sense that the texans are giving up because as we said yesterday's upset many times the quarterbacks control the league now the when they wanna get dealt they generally get dealt. They're very few examples of teams that have star quarterbacks who wanna be traded and they say too bad we got you. You're under contract. You're going nowhere. That rarely happens in this case it might because he's so good and he's young and he's so he's got such potential over the next eight ten years but this doesn't help The If you haven't read the story yet i just i just was reading the thing and it says You know i. It was one masseuse and you go. Yeah you know whatever it happens to second masseuse who's alleging inappropriate Behavior from shawn watson is based in atlanta. Which is pretty amazing when you consider the the horrific anything happen. Area learners seuss's massage therapist. I probably should be called a massage. Therapist masseuse sounds kind of tawdry but anyway she was based in atlanta. He flew to houston for a massage and when she showed up according to her lawyer. Busby you know He was naked. And which is normal. I guess when you get a massage but let no cover. And then he start and then. He touched her inappropriately. That's where that's what she's alleging. Now i think if it's just these two people in this one lawyer some all i think shawn watson could survive. But what if it's true. Six six is a big number and they all have their own story about him. Doing something inappropriate. That's a big big problem for shawn watson and the on what that's a problem that no one's gonna wanna take on. That probably probably good for the texans. Because if you're the patriots dolphins the jets. You're going to say you know. This thing is just getting started. We we don't want any part of it you know. We'll stick with cam newton who stinks but at least. He's not groping masseuse massage. Therapists know as this is playing out. Like if you're if you're bella check you're saying well one has his stock just dropped right so i can get them cheaper than i thought i could get. I mean you're projecting the patriots would have to give him. What were they incredible for. This year's first round pick next year's first round pick this year and next year second round pick gilmore and aqeel. Harry all of them. That's insane good quarterback beth. Insane it is. We'll see what the bears offered for. Russell wilson more than three first rounders. And i believe two starters and i'm not sure of camille khalil mack. One of them. But it's a motherlode. And i know you know. Wilson is an automatic becomes in europe playoff team. If you're the bears any quarterbacks a worth whatever they're the good ones are worth whatever they're paid would have to give up for the wedding we get more for jimmy. Garoppolo them. it's guy. I said that when we had jimmy. I'm like trade him to the browns for three first round picks. They have to do it. I spent months on the air. And you know that's another one of those great mysteries. Obviously the malcolm butler benching in the super bowl is number. One list number two would be garoppolo a second round. Pick for a guy who at the time and at least the niners looked at him. As a franchise young franchise quarterback. I thought houston was the place. You know before watson i thought houston could have used them and would have given up a first rounder mid mid mid first round tie whatever a first round pick. They got a second and the theory was always the check. Did it almost out of spite. You know because he was forced to do it by craft and he said you want me to deal won't stick with brady. He thought he should stick with garoppolo. I think brady proved them wrong. But when they traded him. It was like yeah. He's he liked i. It wasn't a favor to kyle. Shanahan and john lynch. It wasn't a favor but it was certainly Out a discount. It certainly seemed starting quarterback period. Even if it's not a pro bowler is worth more than one second rounder. But we'll see what he gives up to get him back. I mean if he gives up first round and actually that brings up a good point is is it really just down to. I mean you've gotta take Russell wilson out of the picture now because if the seahawks are not accepting that trade than they accepting anything. I would assume that you don't get more than that. Yeah so so that. Brings it really just to watson and garoppolo right in terms of the big name. Quarterbacks that are rumored to have trade potential. I would assume well i think a gardener minhsiu and And sam darnold gonna get dealt because their teams are going to drop one two. Obviously one is going to be trevor lawrence so if you think mid use a starter in i got no reason to think that belichick believes that but they perfect backup. He could be the next ryan fitzpatrick he. The guy that journeymen goes around the league for has long hair and he looks kind of like these..

"It's a hell of a night to talk about a man what a great day of playoff football it's just the greatest thing on the planet anyway I I just keeps me up to annoy degree I was literally like I'm gonna be working a lot of weekends are we working Friday nights and Friday into Saturday and Saturday into Sunday now for like the rest of eternity which is great and I'm happy to be here it's not a complaint at all but I figured Hey you know only gonna have so many Saturday nights free I'm going to schedule a dinner I went out to dinner with my girlfriend we go to a nice place and the whole time were there I'm just looking over her shoulder at the TV I'm watching the bills game try to have a nice day at night and I'm making all these weird faces what happened well the bills just got a first down leg is it was a mess but you know what I did on the hook don't play old football I can't help myself that's why I'm here the job right I just I love playoff football so to have a day like this is an amazing thing and have a nice big so crazy where the patriots lose the Titans of by the way if you're listening yesterday I call the baby a call the about a lot of things like a pump my chest out once in awhile but now we're at this point the Titans do actually come out and beat the patriots in Gillette stadium everybody wants the whole dynasty is dead and buried were breaking it down were burned it down it's over right not so fast not so fast because here's the thing it's amazing what one guy can do for a team sometimes there's that missing piece right there's that one player when the team makes a trade that one guy can get you and put you over the edge and for the patriots this season they made that move Antonio brown was there right they made the trade they are they brought him in after the raiders got rid of it and he caught a touchdown the first week how different is the patriots season look how different is the story of the dynasty being destroyed do they lose tonight if Antonio brown's on that team are they even playing tonight are the number two seed are they the one seed if Antonio brown's playing they made that move now obviously Antonio brown is it not and he got suspended but they made the trade they do they tried to do everything they could to get that last piece in you could you could give broader they did signing they they did everything they could to get him in you could get Gronk he's happy to be retired and did do whatever grounds doing but they bring in brown they try to go all in for Brady in that way and it didn't work out so they had the missing piece how differently you feel about the patriots of Antonio brown too how different is the for Tom Brady so eight five five two one two four two two seven that's how you hop in that's why I'm not saying he's gone because maybe they're just one wide receiver away and by the way you look at this thing Julia Adam is still going to be there he's under contract obviously he's Brady's right hand guy now you've got to kill Harry maybe he grows from year one to year two but also Eiji greens a free agent right Emmanuel Sanders free agent maybe grunt does come back Amari Cooper's a free agent Antonio brown depending on what happens with the suspensions he could be back next year so if one of those pieces come to New England what kind of threat are there how good will you be and is that reason for Brady to stay or can find a better team elsewhere I don't think you can find a better team elsewhere political phone to talk to let's go to Jack in California Jack on CBS sports radio what's up your pick in my brain and I agree with everything you're saying just about everywhere I'm not a big take just them but I have to say that Tom Brady as on my respect in respect of football fans Eric and Bobby unknown large part of the world yeah he deserves it right because even if you want to bash Brady for because New England minute to attach the cheating scandal after cheating scandal in there under investigation now in the probably get punched in a couple weeks but he always played good anyway in different styles different years year in year out he's always been great he's he's just great right on I mean right on I know what you just said something all of those in my brain as your seconds ago I'm all right to bear with the cowboys she's going to be a free agent and the cowboys don't seem all that help that he did the greatest years instead of them along with a lot of other players and I could see him going to new and you know I can see Tom Brady winning another Super Bowl next year I think he's older he's not you may not be at fault yeah the not to retire but he's older but I did use my spot on the P. goes if you got one or two players in the market to burn all yeah that could be a difference maker right there and then the players will rally against the legal like crazy I don't care whether stabbed or use a tremendous leader of it doesn't seem that was a few years ago they were talking about this Tom Brady was a new get that down yeah and and now he's the man in the league he's I mean he is Mr NFL he's the best player that's ever been in the league in Jack thanks man I mean you got to respect Tom Brady in everything he's done you have to you don't like it I think you know what and do we got a pretty good degree I don't like you either I don't but the guys the greatest player that ever been in the league he's been the top quarterback in the NFL for two decades in an era full of all of the greatest quarterbacks you've ever seen right in terms of talent in terms of success stats whatever you're looking for Tom Brady has been the most successful guy in the most competitive era of football and so for him and being that competitive is he better outside in New England is that the future for Tom Brady's that the right thing for him are they better off without him I don't see that I don't.

"The American Taliban. John Walker Lindh has been released from prison. He's on the loose. The guy that left America. Go join the Taliban, so he could murder the infidels. We caught them on the battlefield when CIA officer Johnny Micheal Spann was murdered by the truck from hell. And we captured on the battlefield he was given twenty years in. And prison. But apparently, you know, good Taliban behavior. Good, ISIS behavior. Something we're letting them out early and good news for people in the Washington metropolitan area. The sounds like a great idea. He's moving to northern Virginia. Hey, just outside of Washington DC got another Raji haughty. He praised ISIS and the good work that I was doing. But the Federal Bureau of prisons, this morning, confirmed that land was no longer in custody. Hayes free. He's on the list, the American Taliban pleaded guilty to fighting the former militia leaders of Afghanistan after the terrorist attacks of September eleventh, two thousand one, I remember them. Well, he was released from federal prison in Indiana today, and now he's on the loose he, he did. In fact, fairly recently praised ISIS the Islamic state. There are savages that dismember people with dull implements and. I you know, I think that we should ask Nancy Pelosi is she feels about this? I think she's probably in favor, but she's surrounded by armed security. So it's a little bit little bit different for her than it is for the rest of us moving to northern Virginia. Hey, seventeen years twenty years. What's that, if he survived in prison? All these infect, he was proselytizing in prison all those years. They cause of radical Islam. That's not like he gave up his he continued to promote radical Islamic jihadi values in prison. So that ought to pay off in the long term. I think don't you think you think so the, the Democrats are now claiming that the that whole Russia collusion thing, and we're going to trust the Muller report and the findings of the report. And then we're gonna move on that was all I everything was a lot. There was no Russian collusion. The investigation was a fake. They used Hillary Clinton's opposition research. The news media pretending that, that's not the case. It is the case. Let's do let's do a little bit of audio. Let's go to sound byte number five Adam shiftless, aka the insurance. And what does he in your thing? Is he the Ridler? I think he's might be the rhythm. Adam shiftless. This was. Months before the Muller report has just couple months before the Muller report came out, Adam shiftless talking to his friends, and the news media on Capitol Hill. Except that the prosecutorial judgement of Muller's sound, I've said all along that we would accept whatever conclusions. He reaches a prosecutor except whatever conclusions he reaches as a prosecutor. He was lying about that just as he lied about everything else for two years, CNN facilitated his lies, CNN doesn't as on there every day. It's like he has his own office at CNN. And it comes out any lies constantly nobody ever says. But congressman everything you've said for the last two years was wrong up to, and including, and the and you said, you would accept the findings of the of the Muller report. And you obviously haven't, and you said that you had secret evidence of, of collusion and that you knew it to be true because you had seen as the chair of the intelligence committee, secret intelligence that the rest of us couldn't see. So you knew that it was true. And all of that turned out. To be false. None of it was true. And it looks like you've been telling untruths all this time congressman, but nobody at CNN has done that not a one not a single person which means they're not a news organization. Not at all. Now, here's another one. I like this one. This was from the same moment he was going around saying they said it. I don't know. Hundreds of thousands of times. There's he said it again. And again, dozens of times that he knew that the president was guilty because he had seen secret stuff, and he told us, he reassured, the, the anchors at CNN who are not in the news business. He assured them again. And again that the evidence was in plain sight of Russian collusion is see the evidence was in plain sight. He kept telling us and nobody in the news media. It's like Batman and the Commissioner, Gordon and chief O'Hara getting a message from one of batmans nemeses with a riddle in it. And it's well it's hiding in plain sight Commissioner and well, what is it? Nobody ever said, well, you say hiding in plain sight, what the hell are you talking about nobody ever asked them that because they're not really in the business of doing that? Here's Adam shiftless. I've also said that there is a big difference between whether there's evidence of collusion. And I think that evidence. Is in plain sight threat, whether there was evidence of collusion and I think that evidence was in plain sight that was before the Muller report came out. Well, it wasn't in plain sight, and it wasn't in the Muller report because there wasn't any evidence of collusion, and there wasn't any collusion and it's been investigated to death and it's over and the lion sack. Julia. Adam shiftless the said that he would accept the findings of the Muller report. It was just one more lie from him. And he said that the evidence was in plain sight now at it wasn't, and it wasn't hiding either because there wasn't any so he was lying. That's one fifteen second clip of audio and he lied twice. It's actually eighteen second clip of audio had to check eighteen seconds any lied twice. And CNN is not going to call him on this today or tomorrow or next year. Are anytime even though I said these things repeatedly on CNN, they're fine with them, Kratz coming on and lying for years. Every day and they never check him. That's just not what they do. Now they've shifted, the, the so-called narrative from Russian collusion. Now to what nanny Pelosi says, is a cover up and not a single dimwitted dishonest reporter says a cover up of what wouldn't that seem like an obvious thing to ask somebody runs into your house hysterical. And says, there's been an accident you might say an accident where but, but people at CNN wouldn't they sit there and they'd say there's been an accident, and then they'd make a sandwich, and they go to the store and son, but there's been an exit. Yeah, I know there's been an accident. That's it. That's their like jellyfish. They have the, the intelligence of jellyfish some jellyfish fairly smart and Nancy Pelosi. This is Nancy Pelosi yesterday talking about again. There's Adam shiftless saying all the evidence of Russian collusion is in plain sight in plain sight now Pelosi's saying there's a. Cover up of some kind of what we don't know. But that doesn't matter because nobody's gonna ask nanny Pelosi yesterday. They, that's all this stuff is in plain sight, case and claim site in the public domain. This president is it shocking Justice and you think eight in a cover up and that could be impeachable. That's right. Should impeachable offense? Cover-up cover up of what cover up of obstruction of Justice. What's the obstruction of Justice because I believe Muller investigated that for two years at across millions of dollars with thousands of witnesses and millions of pages of testimony and he did not conclude that there was obstructed Justice. He did suggest the attorney general take a look at that the attorney general took a look at that along with the deputy attorney general, rod Rosenstein, confirmed trumpeter. They consulted the office of legal counsel at the department of Justice, and they found as a group that there was not enough there to charge the president, with obstruction of Justice and the attorney general made it clear that it had nothing to do with whether the president was the president, nothing to do with that he made that clear in the four page letter to congress never mind. Never mind that and listen to this, this Nixon stuff they love Nixon. Now nanny Pelosi oops nanny Pelosi. Sorry about how the president is ignoring subpoenas. Well is they're in a they're in a constitutional battle between the White House, and the and the congress and these things happen. It last time it happened was in the last administration. The Obama administration where Eric Holder, the attorney general was held in contempt of congress and a situation where they were funneling guns to Mexican drug cartels that were used to kill at least one US federal agent. Brian, Terry, not that the anchors CNN are familiar with that story because they're not nanny Pelosi. Of congress article three of the Nixon impeachment. Yeah. It was the article three ignoring the but that really not the Obama administration ignored subpoenas from congress, and that's wonderful stuff. Now nanny Pelosi. Once again, insist the Democrats are now insisting again, we're gonna get this for two more years and are corrupt phoney baloney news media is not going to straighten it out. Even though that's their job. That's why God put them whereas they say, why dog put them on. This dog is their co-pilot. Now. What does the news media Nancy Pelosi says cover up cover up cover up cover up? So the news media, then jumps in at that point. And. Nancy? What can we it for you? What can we pair it for you today? We'd paired Russian collusion for two years now. We're going to without ever asking what the cover up is of going to pair it the cover up thing for you. And how can we do to flee serve the Democratic Party? Our friends in the news media, just in the last run less than twenty four hours. You can cover that he is willing to essentially cover up everything to cover up is a cover of accusing the president of a cover up engaged in a cover up in a cover of today. The cover of accused him of a cover cover up is directly refuting, the cover up, engages cover a president that has covered up, there seems to be evidence of the president, tried to come out and just cover up the cover. Do cover-ups cover up the cover up a number of those democrat members of congress invited on democrat channels to spew democrat talking points and not a single one of these, these subhuman people not a single one of them challenged, a single democrat or the, the theory, well, cover up of what exactly. I mean. It's like a twilight zone episode. It has it has Billie mummy turning people into ears of corn. And they're they just parrot. Yeah. That's real good cover up his real good. That's real good. Isn't that good? Then CNN invited a as they do pretty much every day. A former CNN assignment editor, former Bill Clinton spokesman, the Bill Clinton White House. A former acquaintance of mine Joe Lockhart was on the television this morning on CNN and they love this Nixon Watergate stuff. Honestly, Barack Obama did use the IRS against his political enemies, it appears that Barack Obama used the FBI the CIA the Justice department, the intelligence apparatus against his political enemies. Barack Obama targeted and assassinated. American citizens overseas names. He chose from his kill list that he maintained in the Oval Office, and I promise you, there's not a single anchor at CNN that could tell you what that kill list was called. But Nixon was the real bad guy. Most of these people were not even born when Nixon was president. But they know that Nixon was the real bad guy here about the way strategic arms limitation talks got us out of Vietnam. Democrats got us into carried us through after the all the assassinations and the riots and sixty eight and the ward. Hey, LBJ. How many kids did you kill today? Open relations detente with the Soviet Union relations with China that created the EPA at incredibly consequential and important president and much more important much better president than Barack Obama will ever be in the history books. Joe Lockhart on CNN this morning. Nixon now more than ever. It's forty years later and trade saving..

"Well, I wanted to use this question to not only answer it, but also let Aaron know that for example, each person's rankings can be sorted if you just go to my name and you click the little, there's a, there's a up upside down a right side up triangle. You just click it and it'll sort my personal ranks one through twenty five at the quarterback spot. So this week, for example, I've got your Bisky at fourteen fat staffer. Yeah, learning every day at work. I learned something as really, that's great. So what you're Bisky and because I can use that same technology, I can tell you this defunct is also going. I'm sorry to find you. Matthew Stafford, ranked Mitch Trubisky. Yeah, because I'm trying to appease producer. More airtime that way, the more airtime non him PR map Brita or ITO Smith carry the combat pay attention. I was like, ooh, Manpreet non PR. So less less value for those. Those those receptions of map Riddick and rack up. Do you see the way he was running this week? And San Francisco plays who this week, the Rams the Rams? Yeah, falcons Johnson, of course. You know, it's probably going to get in the end zone that's with that might tip it for me. I'm starting at Breda 'cause you know, I'm biased, but I think it was myth has better chance of getting in the end zone when you think I don't know what I mean, not breed. It is ranked tire for me. If you saw the way he ran, I think he's going to produce more yardage. I don't know if he's going to get in the end zone. When you think about that, I will go with Napa producing more yardage as well. Yo Smith has a better chance at a touch, but I'll go map Breda Keith. I got to back to back for you here at one from Rudy that asks Philip Lindsay tonight or to read Cohen against the pats for as Rb to Lindsay Lindsay as well. But it's right there right now eighteen versus twenty in our consensus ranks. I mean tonight, Phillip, Lynes sort of that those. I mean, if you look if you know that you're down projected lose twenty five points to Rico and has a chance to have a much like his upside is much higher than Philip, Lindsey, or do you not. I don't think that no other player has dramatically higher upside, right, right. Macha for Philip Lindsay, three colon plays in a better offense. You know, like Coen's more apt to take a six yard pass and turn it into a seventy five yard gains or Lindsey. You might say like, hey, well, Lindsey by actually play more snaps. Whereas Cullum I play fewer snap hundred Howard couple other ones here, Eshelman or Taylor. Gabriel questions about Taylor. Gabriel this week, right? I mean, twelve catches on twelve targets. I would go with Julia Adam in there. Yeah, I'm gonna go with the consistency play. Tom Brady likes Gillian Elman if you weren't sure about that, like watch the game. He is looking for Jillian, preferred target. That's safety valve. I mean as soon as element came back, the first play that he throws, he throws Julian Edelman volume is king. Jillian, Elman wins that battle. It's Taylor, Gabriel's just I love him and I love what he's doing. And he's such a such a versatile player in that off. Pence, but in terms of consistency, I'm gonna go with that. Allman Keith. What do you got here? We put a bow on his pot more trade one for you. Okay. Should I? Some Corey Kimball wants to know, should I trade gronk straight up for Sony, Michelle. Yes, yes. I mean, we're talking. I liked tight ends and I get, and it's tough to part was a gronk, but in In west. west, your car hasn't been plight. You know, he's not. Our number went used to be that was like set it and forget it. He was number one tight end across the board, and that's just not. That's not the case. And part of it is the way he's defended. Let's be honest because people have to account for him differently. But Sony Michelle is a rare option at running back and I would be certainly making that trade. All right, doing you got a couple of housekeeping notes for you..

"Hates hates a strong word here fans. Share their disfavor. The patriots. And that and you know, that's you know, when appropriate. That's a fun thing about sports. I think it's okay to how it's okay to get behind the team and feel a little animosity towards another team. That's Andrew lock speaking at his locker this week. And can I just say this? And for those of you listening on NBC sports radio, you won't appreciate this. Because you didn't see it. I don't know that there's any human being bit grows facial hair faster than him. He goes from unshaven to full beard in like two days. Have you noticed that it is? It's pretty impressive. It's like willy willy willy willy is. Absolutely. Not. Willy willy is. That thing you could get like a Cracker Barrel where it's the guy's face. And there's the steel shavings in there. And you've got the magnet on a stick. And you can like give him a beard and a moustache. That's what it's like, it's not actual hair. Like somebody has rearranged steel shavings on his face. And then they just take them off. And they put him on again. Anyway, Andrew lock talking about you get to really important and relevant football analysis. When you come to this show, folks. Now, we know why you don't watch. So anyway. Andrew luck getting ready to play the patriots tonight. He's never beaten the patriots. He is Owen five against the patriots. They're calling it a rivalry. It's not arrive or we look FOX. I I know you want people to tune in and watch the game. You may be wondering why do we get this game on FOX instead of Brown's jets from a couple of weeks ago? Maybe we'd rather have that one? This one's a tough one to sell if this was an NBC game. I'd have a hard time selling because it's not a rivalry. And by all indications the patriots who are favored by ten points. They're gonna win by twice that. And the one thing Chris we talked about this yesterday, but it bears repeating as we get closer to kick off the colts played seventy minutes on Sunday cults had thirty four extra snaps in overtime. The colts are going to be more likely to be worn out. Then the patriots and the patriots didn't have to travel back home from anywhere last year last week. They played at home. They're waiting at home. They're prepared. They're ready and the culture kind of limping in because they played those extra snaps in those extra minutes. Yeah. It doesn't. I think it could get very ugly in this game. Quite honestly, I mean, you said it the colts played five quarters of football. The patriots basically played three quarters of football because they had the game in hand by the end of the third quarter on the Miami Dolphins. And then you said beat up. I mean beat up is an understatement. I mean, they're missing they're gonna they're every key player on their football team is hurt tonight other than Andrew luck. So that's where I worry about this match up more than anything you go through the names. I mean, hey, T Y Hilton Jack Doyle, Denzel good Hassan Ridgway, Quincy Wilson, Kenny more. Anthony Costanzo Ryan Kelly. Darius Leonard who I'd say maybe their best defensive player people in the secondary. So I am a little worried about how this game unfolds tonight. And yeah, I mean, I want to watch a good one. So I'm hoping maybe lock or the ball bounces the colts the colts way they've got fifty three guys on the roster and seven of them are already declared out for tonight, Jack Doyle, Denzel. Oh, good whose brother was shot and killed this week t y Hilton who has chest and hamstring injuries Marlin MAC, Kenny more Hassan Ridgway Quincy Wilson that's more than ten percent of your roster already scratched before you even get to kick off. And there are six others who are questionable which means maybe they'll play maybe they won't. Although apparently they've made the trip to Foxborough which would mean they have a chance to still play a lot of times guys who are listed as questionable end up being out because they leave them in Indianapolis. But I think all six of these players are in Foxborough. We'll see if any of them end up not plan beyond the fact that everyone is tired from the Sunday game against the Texans. That went all the way through the full seventy minutes. The ten minutes of overtime. You've got the injuries. You've got the fact that the patriots of master colts, and they'll in the past decade, this one is just adding would still one of those that on the surface when you hear colts patriots. You think? Hey, all right. And then it's like, no. Right. This is gonna be this is going to be bad. Yeah. I don't. I hope wrong, and I do I really hope it wrong. I want to watch good football. I like rooting for Andrew luck. I do the big blow to me, of course, is T Y Hilton. That's really where I look at it. And just go man, that's the guy the one guy on the team other than Andrew luck. They could not afford to lose. Because let's not forget the colts run. They don't have a running game on offense. Their offense is kind of been struggling. It's it's not one of the best offenses in football. It's Andrew luck make magic and T Y Hilton your our guy, and we're going to throw the ball to you and with him being banged up, and you become that one dimensional and lack of weapons I always get scared of that kind of scenario against New England, and we know what? Ballot. Check and company are capable of when they have that type of formula. And another ingredient for the patriots that will help them tonight against the colts. Julian Edelman expected to play he returned from suspension on Monday. And we know he's been playing ping pong. Thanks to ESPN. I still think this is an article from the onion. There's a breathless article at ESPN dot com that points out that Gordon Hayward of the Celtics and Julia Adam and spent time playing ping pong with text messages from Gordon Hayward about what kind of a ping pong player Julian element is so deep. At least we know. At least we know that in the event that somehow some way a ping pong table ends up at midfield tonight for the colts patriots game. But they need Ataman. Chris. I said yesterday that they're wide receivers among their wide receivers. The leading third down conversion specialist is Josh Gordon with two. Yeah. They need element out there in the slot. They need him to be that extension of Tom Brady's brain. And to be in the spot where Brady needs him to be to catch the passes and move the chains. It's it's amazing stat actually, but Josh Gordon, and and we'll see what he looks like as he continues to go here. I mean, you know, I don't think he's at full. Josh Gordon capabilities yet. So I'm excited to see where that goes another game tonight. But the Julian Edelman factor like you're talking about is it's real. Yeah. This offense it became famous with all the numbers and completion percentage and Tom Brady dissecting defenses because of the west Welker type apply or and the ability. New England had to orchestrate this million different ways of short passes to the west Welker type. And then that mantle was passed over to the Julian Edelman, and I I mean, I would argue almonds every bit as good if not better than than west Welker, really. And he's a huge part of the offense. Mike, and we we've talked about this before whether it be with the Cowboys or whatever it may be. But when you have one other guy where your offense, can, you know, just scheme things up for all the time. Now, there's less pressure on grunk because we know that's their main guy. Okay. And now, you got Julia nettling to worry about too. So they're going to be certain downs in situations where the defense is going to go. Hey, we gotta stop those jerk option routes over the middle by Julian Edelman on third and five we're going to double cover them here. Oh, man. There goes gronkowski behind us or twenty five yard gain. And that's where New England is masterful when these two were both in the lineup together. So let's go back to the colts. You know, we've seen Andrew luck. Now for four games. Steve Young recently said when he watches the film of Andrew lock it's not the same guy that he used to be do you see anything that would give you reason to believe that that this Andrew lock when one hundred percent if he's under percent matches one hundred percent that he was before the show research. I mean, I'm not gonna say it's maybe not one hundred percent. But it's really good. It's not where I'm concerned. I think it's going in the right direction. Maybe there's a mile per hour to office fastball. But he's never was a guy that just you know, through hundred and five miles per hour heaters on the the the corner of the plate. You know, what he is amazing at is. He's a great down the field thrower. He will stand in the pocket forever. And wait for people to come open and take shots, which is you know, why he's been beat up. But no, I think really, hey, they're playing through him. And I know there are one and three but they've been the lesser team on the field. I would say three of their four games this year. And they've been in every one of those games because of Andrew luck and his ability to hang in there in the past game and make big throws. Yeah. And even with all that I just think they're they're in over their heads tonight. And they're one and three, and they may very well be on their way to one in four based upon how things go tonight luck has been sacked nine times in four games. This year. Four sacks last week against the Texans. I still worry about him being hit because you get hit enough. You're eventually going to get hurt. And I don't see any real change in his style. He's a big guy. He thinks he can embrace that contact. But that's what got him in a position where he needed shoulder surgery. A year and a half ago. And look, I maybe the culture going to be great under Frank Reich. And maybe they're going to be right up there with with the patriots or the best teams in the AFC sooner than later. But but boy for now, it just feels like this. This colts team is not ready to compete in prime time with really anyone much less than New England Patriots. But as I said earlier, I hope wrong, I want a great game. I love to have a great game on when those moments, isn't it? Great, Chris when when you've been there all year now in the NBC viewing room all those games at one o'clock. It's dizzying. It's great to have just one game. You can focus on one play at a time. You can understand the flow of the game Halla momentum shifts what what's happening on the field. You can spot a lot of that stuff based on your experience, even on the TV copy without seeing your film. And I know you rely on your film, but it's great to be able to focus on one game. No, I it really is. It's one of my favorite things about Thursday nights Sunday night or Monday night is that. Yeah. You don't have to be overwhelmed by peace. Together, all these games. And and yes, sometimes you walk away on a Sunday afternoon, you go man, I saw a lot. But I'm not really sure what the hell. I actually saw you know. And and you're right coming context of games matters. There's little plays that happen here. And there and you go man this one team was kind of dominating the game. And you know, they shanked a punt. And you might not see that when you're trying to watch other games in a change the field position, whatever it may be and that is part of football. And you know, going back to the colts. Do the other thing you mentioned it. Yeah. Maybe hopefully in the next few years, they can be a true challenge to the New England Patriots. I will give our buddy Chris Ballard a lot of credit. I mean, I think he has found a lot of under the radar hidden gems on his roster that yeah, they might not be household names. They might have not been guys that came from big time colleges or universities. But he's got guys like Darius Leonard the middle linebacker out of South Carolina state who have performed amazingly this to this part of the season. Komo co two Ray a drop kick at a Rutgers who's a pass rusher off the edge. He's been really impressive. So that's where I have hope for Chris Ballard the colts his vision with Frank Reich and building a team and building that a team around. Andrew lock and helping him out. And schefty says rob gronkowski as expected. We'll be active for the patriots tonight. That's not a surprise first time gronkowski and Julian Ataman, we'll be on the field together in a game. That counts since November twenty seven of twenty sixteen because that's when gronk had his back injury to wipe them out for all the two thousand sixteen the last time we've seen in a game that counts Super Bowl fifty one. All right. Let's take a quick break. When we return the the quarterback rankings yesterday unveiled by Christopher David SIMS were not received well by everyone, including folks on social media. So we're gonna we're gonna share with you some of those reactions, which I'm sure Chris has been dying to wait actually, this'll be a lot of fun. Gold.

"Arm strength or my reads, don't go after my buddies. Don't go after. Don't make stuff up about my buddies. And while it might be a legitimate question for the tabloids, Tom Brady was absolutely in football mode yesterday he wanted none of it. Fellow Michigan alum. I love Tom Brady. I don't think the question was out of bounds. Here's what Julia Adam is going to miss the first three games of the area. So therefore, if I'm asking about your football team and he's a part of it and you guys have the same trainer, there is a tie linked here. But what has happened in media is success has bought certain people atonomy to be disrespectful to the media, and we think is cute. We see it with coach pop. We see it when dick Sabe it. We see it with Bill Bella Chet, and in this case with Tom Brady, and now that you have social media, we get a chance to see another side of the player by pressing sin. And so he doesn't now have to be bum barred it by the question from the media because he can find a way to funnel his own message. And I thought it was really interesting. I can't make up my own mind if I think the question is legitimate illegitimate. Sure if that's even the right way to describe it. But Alice Carreira has become such an incredibly significant figure around the patriots for variety of reasons and none of them having to do with this. But when you when you heard was suspended and that he was working with Guerrero it is a connection that was made in certain places. Again, no one is is, is painting a picture of clearly Guerrero funneling these guys. No one is saying that I don't need the question necessarily was suggesting that, but there is an inference, I guess, as made I understand Brady's being upset by it and the meantime, I wanna play for everybody. Okay. This is the of disaster. Goal. Oh, no. Because they New York Jets have opened their training camp without their rookie quarterback Sam darnold, who remains a hold out as his camp looks to get a deal done. He was the third pick in the NFL draft out of USC. He is the man who is going to lead the New York Jets back to the land for the first time in half a century. And right now they're arguing over offset language. Let's bring in Richard meaning as we stop the music and get the latest on all this rich, I need you to get this thing settled for me and educate in there. I need you to do whatever you can do, what the hell is going on. I work at on it Mike, as you know, I've covered that's a really long time and and there've been a lot of contract disputes along the way. I'd say this one is the most ridiculous of them all. I mean, we had revisit two thousand ten immortalized on hard nuts, but at least they were fighting over real money. Then this is just like you alluded to. This is legally they're fighting over offset language, and the new one where hearing is that it's default language, you know, kinda fine print in the contract in each side appears to be dug in. I get the feeling there's not a, you know, a resolution on the horizon right now and the money set. We know what the money is four years. Thirty million a little over thirty million fully guaranteed. That's not the use of these deals or slotted. It's just like I said, the legalese, and it's really a shame because the job is there to be had. I mean teddy Bridgewater and Josh mccown or battling training. Camp. They're doing okay. They're proven veterans, but they're not lighting it up. It's just begging for Sam darnold to come in and win this job, but it's going to be harder the longer he sits out. No, this is not okay with me. I found a good picture picture painted for you. I don't like it. I didn't like a word. You said like Tom Brady, I'm cutting this off right now. I'm rich. Thank you very much. We'll.
