"So he's like, so you're in the middle of a play like, wait, I've seen that before. Oh, that's right. When I was mahomes and Madden, like, does that happen? Yeah, yeah, yeah. That is pretty wild. So what can you tell me the whole country's on pins and needles about his readiness for the game? I know, I'm treading into the waters of talking about injuries and in other player, but how concerned should chiefs nation be for Sunday with mahomes right now, juju. I'll tell you one thing about pat man. He showed that on Saturday that we just you never quit never gives up and his dog fighting him and him wanting to be out there with us and his teammates and to play for the fads. And that's what he's just going to give you on Sunday. So I'm going to show you his readiness is ready as ever as he's ever been. And we're just going to go out there and play. So you have no concerns for Sunday in terms of having Patrick out there right now. No, no, not at all. Okay. All right. And then what about you, juju? What would it mean for you to make a Super Bowl? After being in Pittsburgh for so long, and then going to a new spot learning new everything and then getting to the big game. What would that mean? Man, it'll mean a lot. You know, I've been chasing since I've been in the league and being able to come here, like you said, and be a part of this team, new system, and whatever I can do to help to get us there. And that's what I'm all about. But being able to play in the Super Bowl, I dreamed it as a kid, and that coming true is literally one game away. So what do you mean you dreamed it as a kid? Walk me through that? What do you mean? Yeah, so as a kid, you know, growing up, football was pretty much everything, like my whole life started playing since I was four years old. And always knew that growing up as a kid, I knew that wanted to play in big games, big spotlight, and obviously the biggest game of the year. It's a Super Bowl. So for me, this was like, it's actually crazy to think about damn. You and Walmart and you're in the Super Bowl. So it's pretty wild. And of course, it's kind of crazy to team standing in your way as a team you're very familiar with playing against in Cincinnati. You can't quit the AFC north, can you? It's kind of crazy. You can't really get a football team, you know? I played it as a note for 5 years, and I know what it's like. I know that the dog fight in a team like that, you know, they're not going to create they're not going to back down. And us for them to come here and play in our home stadium is going to be rocking. I can't wait. All right, so let's play this game before I let you go, juju. Any similarities between Big Ben and Patrick Mahomes, any. What do you got for me? I would say the knowledge of just knowing football. So is there and I had been at the tours of his career, so for Ben, he's been playing for so long. So his knowledge. But statement pat, man, to do so smart on the office both hardworking guys. And that kind of just shows and it's crazy because when I had been at the end of his career, he was still big band and now I'm at Patton's prime and it's crazy because I mean being in Ben's prime is would have been insane and I think now that I'm seeing pat as he grows as he becomes better because we came in the same year, same draft class is actually insane to see someone make history day in day out. So you're saying mahomes at age 27 has the knowledge of the game and preparation and neck up processing as say a veteran like a first ballot Hall of Fame veteran at age 37 38 in Ben. That's what you're saying. Yes. And I can't even imagine what Ben was like at 26 years old. Doing what he's doing. And then any similarities between Mike Tomlin and Andy Reid. Juju Smith Schuster. Yeah, I would say the biggest thing that I'm taking away is that they're always for players. And the filling I get with Andy Reid and coase trauma is that I don't want to be a disappointment to them. They make you feel like it's more so like, you know, when you get in trouble and my grandmother man because she's my favorite grandmother. You obviously care for me. And it's like, I go out there and like, damn, I messed up on a player so I'm like, it's more so you get upset with yourself. Yeah. And making him disappointed. And that's what I that's why I filled with both of them. And that's how coach Tommy was. That's how Andy Reed is and that's a very similarities. And therefore, the players, and that's why the players. That's what we go hard every single day just so we can make everyone around us just even better and everyone just wants to win. So do they have a look of disapproval or you're just no, you kind of do get a look from they do have everyone has a look, you know? So it's got something and you really have this like you kind of just know and they don't say anything and then you just fix it right then and you just keep moving on. Because you don't want to be in that position. You just can't you just don't want to be in that spot. Yeah, you don't yeah, you do not want to be an okay well I'll tell you one time we're playing against I think the Titans are one game and I did a celebration on their sideline got a penalty and I'm running back towards the fine line and I got that look from Andy Reid I'm like in a dog house. I got a dog house. Can I go out there and make a couple more plays? And then win the game. So okay. So all said and done, you're good. So did read ever come up to you and say, great job. No, no. No, next time mentality, you move on. And that's one thing that he's always big about is that he gave you that look next play, move on, go win the game, and everything said and done. When you win, when you win football games, that kind of like everyone's happy. Makes everything better. Juju, thanks for the time, greatly appreciate it. And I know you're running from thing to think practice to this phone call. It's great catching up with you. I will be looking forward to watching you in the AFC championship game for the first time in your career and good luck beyond let's talk. Let's stay in touch. Thank you. Yes, sir. Appreciate you. You got it right back at you. That is juju Smith Schuster of the Kansas

"Texted, I'd love to know why teams can't double team them, stop them. Why is he always so good every game, especially the playoffs? And it's a great question. And you thought when tyreek hill would go on to people were going to be able to kind of step one Kelsey a little bit, give him more attention. And the opposite has happened. He's had his biggest year perhaps ever. So I think job number one when you're playing Kansas City, especially if mahomes is somewhat limited, mobility wise, you've got to find a way to limit him. I mean, that's job number one. And if Smith Schuster or Justin Watson or Valdez scantling, if they beat you, that's okay. But don't let Travis Kelce beat you. And obviously Andy Reid very aware of that. And, you know, this kid can Darius Tony, who the Giants got rid of. Right. He's kind of an explosive X Factor to make. I'm anxious to see if he makes a couple of plays. See if they get the ball in his hands quickly in some of those bubble screens or jet sweeps. But I just think mahomes, you saw what he did in the second half. He just adjusted. He limped around the field and beat you. And he's kind of like the borough conversation. I don't think he feels like he needs to be at a 100% to wolf you. And I think he'll slide around in the pocket. He might not be able to sprint at full speed, but he'll slide around and make plays. And I fully believe that. So your best guess on Super Bowl 57 would be what? I'm putting you in a sports talk radio box here. What do you got from that? I had no idea. I think the four best teams are in the final four, which is really cool. And it's a cliche, but turnovers. You're going to go to whoever turns it over. I mean, honestly. And I totally get it. I know why you would say that. Because again, Dallas and San Francisco was tied going to the fourth quarter. Anything can happen. Once you get out there and the crucible of the game, which is why everybody thinks that maybe the niners are in trouble because of a kid so green at quarterback, but enacted it. I mean, aside from the first half in The Rain, two games ago where he was a little bit off, he sure doesn't look like a rookie to me. Right. No doubt. No doubt. So what's your best guess though? I'll circle back one more time. What's your best guess, Mike? What do you got for me? That is such a rich Isaac. Thank you, sir. Come on now. Come on, this is not our first rodeo. Come on now. So when the NFC side, Philly San Fran, they're the two best teams in the NFC. I just made the statement that I think Philadelphia has more talent than anybody in the league. So I would stand by that. I think San Francisco, I think their physicality is going to give Philadelphia test their so physical and tough and their run game and but I would say that I would give the edge at home to Philly and that other game that I'd like I liked what Zach Taylor said today when I talked about media one of them talk about beating Kansas City four times in a row. And he said, we don't have to beat him four times. You just have to beat him once. And I think Kansas City probably is favored. I think in all honesty, I'm kind of on the Cincinnati train. I love borough. I think you're talking about two of the best three quarterbacks in football. I like Cincinnati and on another train, rich. I don't know why Lou Anna ramo was not getting any kind of love to be a head coach. I don't get that at all. I thought he did another great job last week. He certainly did and man borrow your right. It's just amazing to watch him blossom into what he's doing and him versus mahomes is going to be amazing and then the NFC championship game as well. Mike, thanks for the time. Let's do this again. I miss talking to you in here and picking your brain. Thanks for the time. Thank you, rich. That's the man Mike mayock right here on the rich eisen show. Let's take a break. Juju Smith Schuster, when we come back from the Kansas City Chiefs. Back on the rich eisen show and he is back on this program, but the first time as a Kansas City chief, always a delight to chat with the wide receiver. Juju Smith Schuster back here on the program. How are you doing, juju? I'm doing great. How are you? I'm doing really well. So let's just jump right into it. This is your first AFC championship game rodeo, right? That never happened in Pittsburgh. First yes, my first one and I'm super excited. I can't wait. But yes, time is here. So what's going through your skull right now is you're getting ready for this game against the Cincinnati Bengals who you obviously know so well. Juju. It's more just the comment before the storm and getting into the books. Today is the day where we start breaking down place, studying this team. And just getting ready for the big game. Today's the day you get into the snow globe. Is that what happens, juju? What did that first start? The snow globe I did. When did you first see that in practice that we saw? It was actually, you know, it's funny. We've had that play on for about four weeks straight before we actually actually called it. And then we called it in the game and we were actually like damn we're actually calling this play for us to go out and score and meet scored and that's a crazy part, but with the parents kind of took it away, but it was a great play. But I guess that's part of what I kind of want to dive into for you is the ingenuity, the creativity and the fun that comes from that sort of thing. It strikes me just in the times that we've met and talked that that touches that checks every box for you, juju. You know? Yes, yes, yes. And that being said, you know, you just never know playing for any readers that you never know what you're going to get weekend week out and that's a play we had in our back pocket for quite some time. And right time, right moment, he called it, it worked, but at the same time, going to every game, it's just you should never know the outcome. So it's going to be a fun match. What's it like in playing with mahomes for you? Juju. It's so fun. It's like a video game. It's like scrambling around and throwing the wall anywhere on a foot. And making plays and those big catches. So that's like the fun part about that. He's able to just do what he does. Did you ever play mahomes in a video game? Did you ever do that before playing with him? Juju. Did that happen? I played with him. I played his actual player in the video game. I never played against him or with him in Madden, but very, very similar to relying.

"Nothing bothers him. And I mean nothing. And what does he want to do after he beat your ass? He wants to light up a cigar and talk about it. I love him. He does. It's so simple. But it's so rare, you know? It's exactly right. You beat your ass and I'll light a cigar up. And then, but you could call it cocky, but how could anyone have a problem with that? I mean, it sucks to be on the business end of it to be very, you know, I'm sure, but how about a fish? How about two minutes after beating buffalo and he's getting interviewed by I think was Tracy wolfson and his first comments? Comment is, well, I guess we're going to have to give a lot of refunds back. Better avios refunds, ready? Yep. Exactly right. He had that he had that in the chamber. He had it ready to go, and obviously Kansas City is a team that is on full alert. I mean, there's no doubt about that. Mike mayock here on the rich eisen show. So let's talk about those two other teams starting with Philadelphia first. They made the playoffs last year. They get one and done. It hurts comes back. He's getting a full year again. They add AJ Brown on draft day. Holy crap. Was that a big move? But why do you think it's all working like this in syriani second year? What's your sense of the secret sauce and how it's now spit out into a hosting and NFC championship game coming off of a boat racing of the Giants, Mike? Well, as you know, I'm from Philly, and I'm sitting right now about a 20 minute drive down in the stadium. And we hosted the eagles last year in Vegas. And I knew I could never come home if we didn't beat them. And we beat them pretty easily. In Vegas last year, and at that point, they had not really turned Jalen hurts loose. And they're running the running back was hurt and they were kind of a team in transition, I think, is how I would categorize it. When I saw them in Vegas last year, they went on to win several games after we beat them. And they made the playoffs at 9 and 8. But it was a borderline playoff theme, but hertz got better at the end of the season. And I remember talking to the media around here. I called, I talked to Howie roseman, right? So I went down the training camp before the season started. And I complimented how we on the job he did. I just said, look, you've got a top three to 5 offensive line. You've got now with the move you made it wide receiver and you've got a top three to 5 group of white out. You're running back is special when he's healthy. You're tight end and special when he's healthy. You've got a good and offensive group of personnels. Any team in the league, we're going to find out you're going to find out what Jalen hurts is. Is he the guys? Is he going to be a franchise guy or not? And to Jalen hurts his credit and that coaching staff credit, they made it work. I mean, they've taken advantage to me great coaching is putting your guys in a position to win. Take advantage of what they do well, try to minimize what they don't do well. What they do with Jalen is they put him in a position or they're an RPO based offense, he gets the ball out quickly. He's judicious with 21 to the football, both planned runs and unplanned runs. And if you're a defensive coordinator there, such a pain in the butt to coordinate against because of the quarterback lunging because of the RPO being. They're so hard. If you just slip a little bit, they're going to the house. And on top of that, I think how we roseman is the executive of the year. I think that they've done an amazing somebody ran for a couple hundred yards earlier in the year in so would they do the following week. They signed lindell Joseph and Dominican too. I mean, it's just an unbelievable. I think they're the most talented team in the league and I think that quarterback is now a franchise quarterback. And meanwhile in Kansas City, Mike, the other one seed, they're hosting. We're not in the trainer's room. You're not collectively. We are not. But all that said, we can probably be rest assured that mahomes is not going to be the full mahomes and all of his movements and all of his magic that come from his movements and his ability to throw off platform and things of that nature will be compromised. What do you think is going on in Andy Reid's mind right now as we're talking? I'm like, Andy's one of my favorite people in the world. And I think he's one of the best coaches I've ever been around. And his offensive creativity is off the charts. Some of the stuff they do offensively is just to have fun, like when they did that. Oh my gosh, the snow globe. Travis Kelce lines up at quarterback and inverted wishbone. I can just see these guys on Wednesday and Thursday, giggling and practice after having so much fun. So you get to the serious business of what happens if mahomes is limited because of his high ankle. And I think Andy will be real creative. I'm blown away by how nobody can cover Travis Kelce. I don't think that's talked about enough. This is interesting, rich. I've got a text chain with 12 of my teammates from Boston college. We get together every summer. And the other day, one of the guys who played the NFL texted, he was a linebacker in the NFL. He texted, I'd love to know why teams can't double team them, stop them. Why is he always so good every game, especially the playoffs?

"And listen to I and eagle in this man call the Bengals and the bills, what a fun game and a fun listen. My buddy from way back in the day and for all these years, Mike mayock back here on the rich eisen show, how you doing, Michael? Rich, I'm doing great, man. How you doing? I'm doing great. What was the scene like in western New York, you're sitting up there with iron in that stadium. Can you paint the word picture for me? Prior to getting up in the booth. And we left the hotel and it was about the GPS told us 18 minutes to get to the stadium. And an hour and ten minutes, we were still circling the stadium trying to get through the crowd. And the cool thing to me is, you know, Lambo is considered an iconic place like Wrigley or pick your spot, right? Right. And it should be. It is iconic. But I just, I had goosebumps going into this game because even though they're going to rip down the stadium, you're driving through these neighborhoods. And I mean neighborhoods. And people are parking their cars for ten bucks or 20 bucks. There's Bengals, jerseys, buffalo, build jerseys. It's starting to snow. People are drinking beer, cooking bratwurst. And I'm thinking the environment is every bit as cool as Lambo. And it is. And I just got a huge kick out of being able to be a part of something like that. Did you ever play in that stadium, Mike? I'll take a shot at that question. Do you play there? Did you play there? In Buffalo? No. Never did. Nope. Never got up there. Okay. I called a couple of Thursday night games there for NFL network back in the day. But that's about it. Okay. And you called this game with iron eagle. To me, the bills are just lacking a run game or a pass rush that's significant. What's the missing gear to you having seen the bills and this now being a post mortem conversation in western New York with the bills winding up way short of the Super Bowl championship a lot thought was coming this year. I'm like yeah, it's hard to put your finger on rich because you say they don't have a run game yet they were number 7 in the league and running the football. They have number 7 passing the football. So they had two balance in the regular season. When you add up a top ten in both of those, there were number two and point scored. And their defense was in top ten in just about every category. So it's hard to sit there and say, you know, what's wrong with this franchise, and I think you and I have talked about this before in the media, I think we jump on and off bandwagon way too quickly. People are worried about the future. I think Josh Allen 26 years old. What I would say is that Josh Allen is a top four or 5 quarterback in that Lake all day long. He's got to take care of the football more. He fumbled it 16 times this year. He only lost 6, but to give you comparison. I mean, he put it on the ground 16 times Joe burrow put it on the ground 6 times. You got to take care of the football. And it's just hard to sit here and say, I'll tell you one thing they did miss. And that is von Miller. They have a really solid defensive line of big body types that can push a pocket, but they lost that twitchy edge guy, they lost a lot. And I think that showed up as soon as von got hurt. So when you're saying that, what are they missing? I think a twitchy edge guy is critical. They're back in with beat up all year long corners and safeties. They were down, you know, I mean, by the end of the game the other day, rich, special teams guys were playing safety for them. I mean, they were down to no safety. So I think that took a little bit of gas out of them all so. Well, I guess the running game that I'm referring to would be a running game from an actual running back. And so I guess I should have been more specific. And because to me, when you're asking Alan to run it and throw it, that also puts him in the mentality of having to do it all by himself and that's maybe where he makes some of these throws, right? If he's always in this mindset of I'm being asked to be the engine here and also the main thrust of every phase, not special teams or defense, then I'm going to make a throw that I maybe shouldn't. Is that fair? Mike? Yeah, I think if your quarterback gets into that mode, it's there. I'm not sure that was his mode in most games. I thought I saw each year in advancement and him getting a little bit better in learning how to get down and take care of himself and know when to throw the football away. Now, that contrary to what I just said a moment ago because he had 22 turnovers and 17 games heading into Cincinnati, he played a clean game until the end when he threw an interception to try to make a play that was basically out. But I get your point rich. I mean, Devin Singletary and James cook between them had about 12 or 1300 yards rushing. So would it help to have a more consistent a back maybe? Don't disagree with that. But I like both those backs. I really do. Mike mayock here on the rich eisen show. Let's talk borrow my, I mean, stone cold, blooded, you know, quarterback assassin and he is growing into exactly that. He's now going to go to Kansas City. He hasn't lost him a home. I mean, what he is doing for Cincinnati is just off the charts. I'm wondering from your evaluation, I believe that was your second draft when you were in Vegas. Your evaluation of borough, even though you knew you had no shot at him. Is it beyond even what you would evaluate it or everyone was evaluating of him? Mike? Yeah, I think so. I think everybody thought he was the number one player in the country and he was. I think we all agree with that. We all thought he was going to be a top level quarterback. But to be honest with you, three years in, he's even better than I ever thought he could be. It's funny, rich. I left the hotel in Buffalo yesterday morning and I was checking out and Joe burrow's dad came over to say hi. And he was a coach. And I said, mister borrowed, did you ever coach Joe yourself? He said, no, and he went through the litany ecology as he had been at Iowa state in Washington, which I kind of knew his bio. And he said, but I never got my hands on him that way. And I said, look, you hear this from everybody. So I know it doesn't mean anything, but I watch a lot of tape. And your kid is freaking special. I mean, he's different. And he just laughed. You got to say, yeah, we've known that for a while. He is. The thing I love about him rich is that

"Be joining us and he is as Philly as they come, so he's locked in on that team and a forty-niners clearly are a team that's on Mike's radar screen as well. His expert opinion coming up, the actor Dave Franco, who's directed a new film called somebody I used to know. He's a die hard niner fan. He directed his wife, Alison Brie, who a lot of mad men fans would know about just among many items of TV shows. And films she was in, he's going to be here in studio an hour number three. Juju Smith Schuster is going to either recalling it in a couple of minutes at the end of this hour. It depends on what's going on with the chief's practice. All right. We already said goodbye to Fred Warner or hello and then goodbye to Fred Warner, the San Francisco forty-niners, good times. 8 four four two O four riches, the number to dial here on this program and judicious miss Schuster will be either calling in at about 5 minutes or later on. But a lot of Omaha's going on. Here on the program here at top of our number two, on the Roku channel and so much more. Hey, congratulations are in order for somebody here in this studio that's not named me. Despite you trying to earn another Oscar nomination, great try. I think that's not why I'm not taking congratulating you. You didn't get it. All right. TJ Jefferson, congratulations are in order for the fact that Rui hachimura will not be making his Laker debut against your clippers tonight. So there you go. That's not what I was going to say. That's not what it is. What it is, Christie, congratulations. Our heading to you. Oh. They're in your direction. I'm shocked. Yes. Yeah, me too. The New England Patriots have an offensive coordinator. He's not only done it before. He's done it before for the Patriots. And he's done it before for the Patriots. Well, Tom Brady was there. Yeah. So the system that Mac Jones ran very well in his rookie season and suddenly couldn't run for his life that got changed or simplified and coordinated by Matt Patricia, who's a defensive minded head coach, that's all out the window, and it's Bill O'Brien coming in as the new OC of the NEP. Congratulations. Thanks. First team all butt chin Bill O'Brien. Okay. Most famous moment is him yelling at Tom Brady on the sidelines. That's right. He gave Brady the business. Kind of brought Penn State back after he did. You know, we know what happened there. And good head coach. I mean, I don't think he should have got fired in Houston. He did a good job down there and obviously the way. The Andrew Hopkins might be. Yeah, I mean, I didn't like the way that he was shopping for groceries, but it's also I said coach, not gentleman. Understood? And the best way back into a major program is to take a little tutelage under Nick Saban for a couple years and you're back. I'm excited. And I think he and Mac Jones did overlap a little bit. They did. Mac is a reportedly pumped up about this higher as he should be. So the quick game will no longer effing suck. I think Mac or in those words from Tom Brady. Yeah, it's awesome. It's great. Finally, somebody who knows what they're doing. Now if we can just get MP out of there, what do you got a problem with Patricia even be a royal? He stinks. Come on. Rich, he was supposed to be, let me just go back 5 years to the Super Bowl. Okay, supposed to be this defensive guru, I think Nick Foles just scored again. I gave it like 600 yards in the Super Bowl. And ask Lyons fans how good he was at defense. He stinks. Let's just get him out of here. Let's be done. What do you care? If you like him, if Belichick likes him, what do you care for? I don't care. I don't want people. I don't want to work with people I like. I want to work with people who are good at the job. You all just happen to be good at your jobs and I like you. I was about to say to me. It's about to say, you know, there was something missing at the end of that sentence. And I'm glad you went in the direction that you did. All right. Like I said, there was still time to fire those guys in week one, week four. I wasn't happening mid season. I mean, that was the way that one went. But there you go. Now, all we got to do is for Deandre Hopkins. He's from the AFC south. So he does know that John Smith can still catch the ball and be a difference maker at the tight end position. Brother, when they sign him, when they sign him. When they sign him, I thought that's a guy who I know, you run them up the seam and he's perfect for the patriot system. He hasn't done a damn thing for him. Not much, man. Not much. So let's get one of those kids who can run faster than the draft. Won't help that out. Yeah, he's not going to be there. Yeah, I don't think that's going to happen. Although Stranger Things have happened. Belichick can always put velvet ropes around a situation and suck the oxygen out of the room. Anyway, it's good. Was he officially named? Did he get the title? I don't believe I've seen any press release yet, but when it's reported over and over and over again, I think it's a done deal, brother. So the pads had tweeted something out. Yeah, yeah, there you go. Report patriots, well, the Patriots Twitter had a report. I think they would know if it's official. Oh my gosh. It does say offensively. Well, what it is is it's just, there's hopeful as you. And it's just like Bill has an approved it completely yet, but he's coming. This is it. Just someone who knows what they're doing, familiar with the team, obviously in the culture and familiar with the quarterback. That's all we want. As fans. So who's going to get the Alabama gig now? What coaches? Battled and needs a rehab. I got it. Nathaniel Hackett. Yeah, there you go. Go there. Two years. Kill it. Kill it, crush it, win 95% of your games. Yeah. That's not a bad one. And then boom, Nathaniel Hackett, head coach somewhere. You've got a job. 'cause that's what's happening, right? That's what's going on. There's no better fast track to being back on a sideline. Lane kiffin, Steve sarkisian, Bill O'Brien. There you go. But bills doesn't have the HC job. Unless he's in waiting. I like Bill Brian. I'm glad that he's back. Me too, man. For you. Thank you. I don't mean it. Don and New York, you're here on the riches and show. What's up, Don? How's it going? What's on your mind, Don? Yeah, so earlier you guys are talking about the possibility of Tom Brady going to the cowboys on the cowboy fan. Well, so we know that it's not going to happen. But here was how I would play it out. Always in Madden. You see what you do is you trade dak Prescott. For an early round pick, but to do that, you're probably going to have to also trade a first and a second round pick as well. Then you draft, you draft a quarterback. And then you go and you sign Brady, Brady, take you to the Super Bowl, hopefully. And then that young guy learns behind Brady. And then you're set up for the future once Brady leaves. Boom. That's a show. Thank you, Don. Greatly appreciate it. Who's going to take that? I would say a lot of people would line up to take deck. Here's a team that I've heard that people would think dac would look great in. And do well

Feels like they turned it around. They got jon gruden bed. They got the shiny new place to play. They're gonna be going all skippy hopping all fucking pittsburgh ben. "I think i am guilty of hearing a lot of people talk positive about the browns and doubting myself so i need to stay with me and to believe in me and i need to stick with the fact that even though i just pick the browns to Win a division. That's all i'm willing to do. Cleveland I love your fans. I love your franchise. I love everything about the browns. Honestly i do. It's a it's just the fact that you have. The color of your helmet is is brown. That's what you do. You're you're the browns. You've got jim brown. I love you. But i don't i don't i. I can't get there with orange. But we digress. Yeah close enough all right. I mean you know that that that works for me. It's not it's it's it's it's in the neighborhood. Nfc seven playoff teams go okay divisions washing. I've the bay this river. I'm going on the record. Washington green bay tampa bay. I'm taking seattle on the west. I you any which way they're taking the best quarterback okay. I'm taking the continuity. I'll take wilson the rams and the forty nine ers or my top two wild card teams and then holy hell a dart between minnesota dallas new orleans maybe even carolina in arizona. You any of those things. I will take minnesota and terrified of doing it. Because i can see six hundred eleven with all the craft. They've had this off season. But i'll take them all right here. We go yup. I'm doing it right here right now. Dallas let's go dak your back. Stay healthy. I'm going to take the cowboys in the east l. Take the packers in the north. The bucks in the south. And i'm going i'm buying it. Let's go come on matthew stafford. Gimme the rams. Gimme aaron donald. I will go for the high end belief. That stafford was screwed by detroit and finally on a good roster with underrated receivers and take the rams. Now my wildcards going off the board. Here.

"Against teams like buffalo kansas city. That his death. Those teams will kill you when you blitz them mahomes numbers against blitzes are supernatural. You're not beating kansas city. Blitzing them it is shown up. They've played three times. They've lost all three times. And the whole insane numbers those games. I think alan will do the exact same thing. So if you're baltimore. Look i think you can do that against a lot of teams. But when you face. These upper-echelon quarterbacks blitzing is typically not the way to beat them. Let's be afc just going back to buffalo. And whether or not they can actually get buy. Kansas city. I mean the bills very similar to your super bowl. Champion buccaneers that. Bring it back. Twenty one starters you got any. You have an ajaj allen who should be even better than he was last year right. That would be only logical. I mean they've got they've probably been thinking about kansas city every single day of the off season right. You're thinking about last year. And and how do you get past the chiefs. I don't know the bills are very very interesting to me. Maybe it boils down to whether they're offensive line can be an actual legit offensive line and not whatever how allen got through last year. Well i think a few things allen's probably should typically going to regress a little bit now. I think he's great. I don't think he's gonna regret in terms of his talent but his numbers were other worldly last year digs led the league in receiving yardage and catch it. So it's you typically don't do those years in a row that said. I think the running game could be a little bit better. I like the role on a little more than you. Perhaps i i think they'll be okay. They're here to me buffalo in a nutshell. It's one thing they drafted. They drafted boogie. Basham in the second round defensive end pass rusher gregory russo. In the first round those kids have to be good. Have to be good if they're not good. They're not beating kansas city. You ha the buck showed it in the super bowl. The niners shoulder for fifty three minutes through the year prior you can come to me with all the crap you want about what scheme you're going to play and how you're going to man up on hill or you're going to bracket calc- none of it matters if you don't get pressure on home you're going to lose. They're like yourself. Okay all right how you feel you fired up not good no not at all. I liked that wilson. I liked that on. What's going on what's Let's turn that frown upside down. Patrick what's going on. I i saw elation for for what twenty. Romo's said and. I feel that could like but he did the same thing for sam. Darnold right and joe. Douglas may no attempt to to improve it. Team around san donald. Well because i think like glimpse and let me let me stop you right there. 'cause i i think this will help Sam darnold was drafted by the administration before. Joe douglas okay and when joe. Douglas arrived his coach. Adam gates was the one who had just drafted was allowed to draft. Who's allowed to be in the draft room and be part of the previous administration. Who drafted before. This guy arrived so the last two years. Technically joe douglas's years and as we all know that was Midway through sam darnold. And i think as you know As much as i love the pres- jamal adams Sending him to seattle for a couple of first rounders and let him go there where they're ready to win with him right now and pay somebody at that position From the back end in and utilize them in a way is better for seattle than it would have worked for the jets in rebuilding what they have done with that. Left side of that offensive. Line for zach wilson. I think this is a different and it's different coach. So don't throw joe douglas out with you. Know the previous admit. The you know the mccallion brad way. Adam gays draft or drew bathwater. Just don't do it don't do it and let's let's band together. Let's go let's go. I mean even seven even in seven and ten. Hey what you have to play defense to nine. And they've got a coach. That i think is is putting something down and i. I think there's some winnable games for the jets on the schedule. You've got a game but we don't know who who's going to be good or bad just yet. We really don't know that yet. And whatever they need in that sense Making sure they're like hey carry yourself and once you can do that then you can have those around me and you know. There's a lot of other things. I can't get into the details but Definitely a guy that i you know. I can go through a anything. Let's talk about your offense here. Juju smith schuster. Ben looks proud of me. He looks like he's lighter. Big band lighter. Would you agree with that coming into this year z. Different look different to you you. Yeah i mean this year me I practice you know. He's a lot of cargo. You know even When we're not We're not up and practice and we're running styling waiting on the sideline running a lot of cardio and you know He's he's been doing it more often. I've seen and i noticed that. And i can see that you know him running you know scrambling making phase like that talking. That's like okay like he's right to the season so when he's not on the field with you guys doing drills. He's off on the side. Running wind sprints and stuff like doing cardio in a way that he's never done before so you're saying I p done it before but now he's actually doing it more now that i then Say that like getting some all shape. And actually you know. Run around to make plays In the slot and out of the back though so it's actually very interesting to see how the he's jewish opposite with our new online and everything. But honestly i can't actually ball and i should put on. You know action games this week. So he's bigger than leav- bell right. He's bigger than him that's going and he's coming out of the backfield kinda like left to right like he's he's a little bit of both right running out there. I would say a little bit of baltimore so downhill. I read those Way like kinda like upjohn the kind of role and strikes. I think he's more like you know he'll find the whole needed help around lover but really lights run downhill. Strike the bill. That guy who Do a little bit of both but definitely running downhill first. Let's talk about your program with snickers your perfect for this. I mean not only. Do you know how to talk. That i had. And i thought maybe i should take another tape while i did it too and i close the trunk and i'm like oh my god. I locked the keys in the trunk of the car. Why wait a minute gets worse gets worse. I you know people. I was trying to like jimmy it open. It was terrible so very sweet. On the rich eisen show prior to his fifth year in the national football league. Courtesy of our friends at snickers juju smith schuster. How are you today. How are you can't believe your this your fifth year it was. It was twenty seventeen when you came in with your bicycle and took over pittsburgh the literally how long it's been been going to fifth year Tom tom hope. I can't believe it like a blink of an. Where's that bicycle. You still have the bike do from your rookie year. Yeah yeah cores. Of course i'd like to say people are still trying to lock the doors. What do you mean people trying to take it. What about your right really by by because of the situation right okay so you you don't bike around pittsburgh anymore. Do you do i do. I do Outside i'll bike around by bikes incident gets you're you're in your fifth year. Juju come on now. Okay you got. You got time for more bikes. I i just can't believe it tanya. How're you a different receiver now than when you first showed up out of Usc juju schuster. Oh man On netflix. I became mentally stronger. being able to Look at defense differently I i you know. I used to go into the game and just play ball and alternate knowledge. I just know but over the past two years of being able to dissect a defense study individual players and stuff like that over time going against them I don't Mentally and i'll say above the above the shoulders above the shoulders knowing you know where to be routes and things like that. That's what you're referring to. Yes did you see the comment by brady. That went all over the place on twitter and instagram. And everything else about how. You shouldn't depend on defensive. Players to protect you in the league is flagging him for hidden receivers. Where receiver shouldn't be because they don't know not to be there. They should know better with film. Study and quarterback should know not to lead them into that spot. Did you see all of that. Juju dictate yeah. Yes how what you think of it as a receiver in the nfl. Would you think of that man. I just say over the time period of football. The nfl that you know it's becoming Something where it's more on society Just because they only see more often scores. You know obviously It's more so excited. Awesome side quarterbacks. Being phased fade Multiple times you know Just because you know. Nfl wants to see authors cirque war then when she points on the board they wanna see exciting. They're doing when she The game you know go on and it keeps the people interested you know I think it's more so For sales and nothing no receiver. I think they'll protecting us at the overtime you got guys like you know trauma who had read guys who you know smashing out there right now. It's i if you hit a certain way all your penalizing possibly keep out of the game and possibly be kicked out for two following game so things. Well you've been you've been you've been flagged right for for hitting people you've been flagged for that sort of course. Of course i re. I remember that that whole moment. Where where you were it seemingly you know Strike a blow on behalf of all steeler nation against bengal that has Taken taken people out throughout the years So the only reason why. I'm bringing this up again. It's just i guess it kind of dovetails in not only with what you hear to talk about what snickers but what brady said to is just knowing knowing the game that receivers should nowhere to be schematically and if they don't they might stroll into a spot where they should know better because the defense has already not only shown itself on film but clearly pre snap before the the moment where you're strolling into a spot where you're getting blown up you know what i mean. Yeah yeah yeah. And that's his preparation. you know. run your out Throughout the week and you know pet the game but then again you know. There's times where you know you scramble and you you don't you don't you. Don't see that guy and like you said you know the quarterback that hey don't go there because you know that person might be there that course comey downhill the identity and i. It's just football. You know i was just out to play and all these rules. I get it protects us. It's protecting the game expecting the quarterbacks But i think when you guys you pay Topnotch quarterbacks a lot of money Play throughout the season. People wanna see that two different taking on At that's the way of yours and we gotta pay because they're making it to dismiss us to here on the rich eisen show Why did you stay in pittsburgh. Why did you stay. Put this also with big dan beyond being able to. I know my head coach me to know my body. They know what i'm dealing with and also just you know having to pay my receiver having my receiver coach again. And it just makes it easy. You know Staying with the team where they utilize you they you and you know. Put the members. I wanna put up shoes as you. What when you say that you know you know you coach. Your coach knows you tell me about tomlin your relationship with him what you And and and the player that you are now entering your fifth year how. He's had a role in that juju. Yeah he has a huge role I remember i had in maryland. Micros yesterday where you know. Washington is that made you just yang. Jiang is my kids i babysit. That's what he said now to the point not to the point where now we're talking about how how's everything What's new for me. It's like you know all relations always been like a brother relationship you know. I got a big Older brother dot and talk to anything you know. 'cause they grow man you're on food and playing a sport that you know has a lot of guys you know what i mean. You know coming in at twenty years old. He's kind of thinking his wing and pretty much Maybe lion today so you you consider him a big brother your coach. That's what you you would turn tomlin. Yeah he's definitely a players coach. The guy that. I can see that i can go to talk about anything..

"Out by amazing players here now Alabama sucking down play. Matt looks wide open left side, not G out of the backfield makes the grab of the 10 pitch inside the defense. He'll fire forward. He's got a touchdown. They lost him out of the backfield 26 yards. And there was that Smith touchdown that ended the game ended the game in the first half. Max straight drop math looks long not find the bomb behind the defense. He is in for a touchdown. Thank you, Mr Heisman. Thank you, Mr O'Brien and United's Award winner. What a combination 44 Yards Touchdown, Alabama. Lear Field. I am G radio. Others that could go on. But really, I can't because I can't play all the Alabama touchdowns in this segment. I would just run out of time. And again, this was against a good or how state team Last night's not a reflection on Ohio State. Just like that semifinal was not a reflection on Notre Dame, just like the S E C championship game was not a reflection on Florida or any of the games this season. They weren't about anything other than Alabama. It didn't matter who was on the field. They were to quote Juju Smith Schuster, nameless gray faces compared Alabama. And, of course, the game like that was going to inspire the ultimate barg. You meant. Is this the best team in college football history and normally, that's like the dumbest argument in college football history. Because normally when people ask that question, the answer is no Matt Jones. Now Mack Jones has his own opinion. Mack Jones thinks that this is in fact, the best team ever. I think we're the best scene never play. I mean, there's no team now ever play as you see schedule like that again. You know, fair enough, sorta kinda like we can debate just how good the SEC was this year, But you cannot debate the fact that this team went undefeated in a pandemic and almost none of the games were close. So is this the greatest college football team ever? I've got no idea And neither do you. And neither does anybody else. I mean, could this Alabama teen beat the Tommie Frazier Nebraska teams who knows? I'm not going to get to some sort of breakdown of how Nick's saving would skim it up against new rock Me. I'm I'm gonna try and talk about how the 2020 Alabama club we do against Reggie Bush and Matt Line erred on those great USC teams. Like a waste time on that, however. However, I've got no problem saying this. This is something we can't say with certainty. This is not some made for TV contrived bullcrap to get reaction. I'll say this next seven, is the greatest coach in college football history. Seven national titles, six in his 14 years in Alabama. This was supposed to be the era of parity in college football. The proliferation of college football on television was supposed to level the playing field and mean them or programs had more shots at being the lead. And yet the dictator his absolutely obliterated the idea and smashed it into 1000 pieces. In fact, he doesn't just have six titles in 14 years. Obama He's got six in the last 12 years. So it's a coin flip every year Heads. Alabama wins the title tales. They come this close to winning a title. So I kind of dominance does not happen. At least it's not supposed to happen. Not in college football, not with teenagers playing and not what guys going to the league every single year. And yet, this guy this joyless wonder is doing a year in and year out and pretending like he's absolutely miserable while he's doing it. So I'm not gonna waste any time debating whether or not we just saw the greatest team in college football history, I can say this Not only see the greatest coach ever I'm going to say that that's his best team ever. I'll say that If your next saving And that's your best team ever. Then you've got a pretty good argument. Then maybe you are the greatest college football team ever. And that definitely is his best team ever. It is. I'm not even sure it's close. He's got six rings in Alabama wondered, ls you and it says here, this Alabama team beats every one of the other six national champions. He's coached. Even Nick himself would tell you that well, you know to me, this team accomplished more almost than any team, No disrespect any other teams that we had or any championship teams. But this team won 11 SEC games. No other team has done that. They won the SEC and went undefeated in the S 60. On then maybe two great teams in the playoffs with the break in between. I mean, normally you ask him a question like that, And that's a reason ago. But instead he couldn't wait to tell you that. Make sure the defense is not the best defense he's had. But that offense is saving close and the crazy thing about this team is they did all of this during a pandemic. I mean, that's crazy, but even crazier than that is they weren't supposed to be this good. Remember last year Joe Burrow and Alice, you destroyed college football. They set the court standard for offensive football. And yet months later, Alabama was nearly a replica of them. Instead of having one Heisman candidate. The tide had three inside the top five. They had three And they did it with a quarterback who was not supposed to be the guy and a wide receiver who was not supposed to be the guy either. Again. Nobody was thinking the Mack Jones was going to lead the most electric offense in Alabama history. When he showed up in Tuscaloosa. Everybody thought the tide offense was going to stagnate, too. When Jalen Waddle was injured, But thanks to Devante Smith, they actually got better. Smith was so good last night. He's gonna get his own take today, but sufficient to say that is one of the freakiest scariest dudes I have ever seen. Ever seen on the field, and if everything went to plan this year, he would have been the number two wide receiver in that offense. So Alabama winning a national title is the most predictable thing ever. Remember. It is a coin flip every year now for more than a decade. Except Alabama. Winning this national title the way they did in a pandemic was one of the most unpredictable things ever. The dynasty was supposed to be over and yet it's still here. And stronger than ever, and a big hat tip to the dictator. No one's better. And no one's more miserable The on Lee thing that would have made that game interesting. Is it? Nick Saban's daughter opened a new Twitter account and live tweeted some of her crazy talk during that game. That's the on Lee thing that would've made that interesting. Tip your hat. It did it again and never looked better. 1 806 368686. All right, So I've got thoughts on that Devante gets his own take. He was that good. He was that dominant. So he gets his own take. I will have that for you later on If you want to talk about the weekend, up coming in the NFL. And I want to talk about the Steelers, man. You think that if you got select You think that if you got embarrassed in prime time, you'd stop bumping your gums it stop running your mouth, Not the Steelers, not the Steelers. They're not taking that loss. Well, and you know, it pisses them off even more. That was the Browns that did them like that, because they're still talking. Doug Peterson fired Scott won a Super Bowl for Philly. They never won one before. He won a Super Bowl for the Eagles on Lee three years ago and is already out on the streets. Man That's not easy to do. One more thought about Tuscaloosa and Alabama..

"If I'm Pittsburgh, and I'm gonna have that young defense again. They had all those injuries. And by the way, Juju Smith shoes to have been. I've been critical of, but he played well yesterday. And they targeting 19 times yesterday. But you know, he has to decide. Do you want to be a star? Not not a social influencer but a star because you can be because Antonio Brown and by the way, Antonio Brown is a big difference maker for Tampa. No had touched down yesterday. Chris Godwin, Hang on some footballs, man. Oh, man. Ah, but, yeah, I think if Juju Smith Schuster if there's you know, satisfied with James Connor, but that defense is really good. But I don't know about Ben is you move forward. It feels like that's a transitional period right now. For him. Yes, make love. They really can't run the ball anymore. That's weird, they broadcaster said, Like this is not the Steelers. We know they throw the ball 60 times a game, you know. And I said at the time when they were undefeated, or maybe had one loss. I said, You can't throw the ball 50 times if you're the Steelers and win games, and they prove that, Yeah, I think I'd be really frustrated if I were a Seahawks band because the first half of the season you look like you're going to the Super Bowl. Your offensive since topple they couldn't pass yesterday, which has never been the problem. They did run the ball little bit. The defense was average. I mean, they had Jared Goff with one thumb, and they couldn't win, and they got manhandled. Even when Aaron Donald's out of the game, the rancher kicking him around Jalen Ramsey. Worth the trade? Yeah, You know, Ram stole that, but good for them. Yeah, I'm Seattle. I wonder his Seattle recovered from the Malcolm Butler interception in the Super Bowl. I mean, I really wonder if you're just like, Hey, this is still haunting this franchise for some some reason. And I thought that their defense was going to be better, Uh, but give credit to the Rams because they made Russell Wilson look uncomfortable. That doesn't happen very often, but they hit him. 10 times. You saw Russell Wilson play in a way that I haven't seen him play very often in his career, and you know, the Rams went at him. You know when Jamal Adam's Knox Woolford out Only goes. I wonder if they'll blame Jamal Adams for losing this game, and I went why he goes because now golf comes in. What if golf leaves them to victory now granted, Jared Goff didn't play great, but Jamal Adams and docks Wolford out and then go off comes in. And sort of manage the game. Um, acres was great. But it was that defense. I never thought Seattle was threatening in that game. Yeah, pulling. I think you said this about a month ago or three weeks about Aaron Donald of the Rams. If you don't give him defensive player of the year, you're picking someone else just to pick someone else. Yes, that's how good he is. It really is. It is kind of silly to not give it to him. You have to just say, Well, he got his. So it's a new person. Let's take a break phone calls or welcome best and worst of the weekend. We'll get to those. We gotta play the day Stat of the day as well. Chris Simms will join us. There's um There's a whole lot of talk about do Shawn wants in. Texans can't get in touch with him. Then there's the report that he would accept a trade to Miami and two over then go to the Texans. I'll talk to Chris Simms about all of this. And does he think that Ben is done? And Philip Rivers is he done? 21 after the hour? Glad you're part of the program, Dan in the den and stand, Patrick show. Let me stay a little bit more about built bar. She got the Colts and the Bills. Then on Sunday, 4 30 Eastern 1, 30 Pacific. Things get even Wilder when CBS add Nickelodeon. Team up for a special presentation. Of Saints and the Bears. You can check your local listings for games and times because this weekend, the NFL wild card is on CBS. And Nick It's ironic we started talking about seems that That have futures. You know, there's a whole lot to talk about with Josh Alan It's a lot to talk about with Lamar Jackson. But then we do have some teams that are in the playoffs right now. Will you just have to stop and go? Okay, just waiting for them to be eliminated. If you're a fan of some of these teams, you pretty much what the hell are you thinking? You thinking the same thing And I'm I'm talking about the Bears. Just being honest, I'm also talking about the Washington football team. Nobody in their right mind could legitimately sit down and say all Well, they're gonna win. It's just a matter of when when do they get eliminated? That's what makes the juju Smith Schuster comments about the Browns being the Browns like that Zoe overkill. Why you gonna beat up on a team with no coach dealing with covert? No practices? One practice, Baker Mayfield, Then throw a football until this afternoon. All week long Offensive line banged up like, come on. All the Browns, the Browns. You know, after you know you, you beat him up. Full healthy squad. Are you gonna beat upon the Browns while they have beat up already? Give it a break. All right. Who knows? Juju Smith Schuster might not even be on the Steelers in the future. So There you have it. He can watch the Browns from a distance. Baker Mayfield. Someone that I'm upset. This is just what we all have to deal with. You can't do a damn thing about it. This was the risk of playing football in 2020 and having the playoffs and 2021 that covert issues weren't just gonna Take place and happen in the regular season, but these issues were going to crop up in the postseason as well. In the NFL. You're not going to change the schedule around. They're not going to adjust the damn thing. And so the Browns. In my opinion, it just Kind of screwed. It doesn't matter what happens. I hope they're competitive. Hope they can win, but The I don't that I can't find anything that would be in their favor against the Steelers. Baker Mayfield. He was asked about the team's mindset. Heading into the game. This is what Baker Mayfield had to say. The key for me is to continue stressing things we've been talking about protecting the football. Putting us in position to, you know, had the most success, you know, take care of the ball. Keep the change moving. I think not hurting ourselves early on being in more manageable third downs. This is freaky. Yeah, that's all that's all good to hear. But what has he been on the sideline with Alex Van Pelt calling the place. Never Baker Mayfield. I was looking forward to him taking charge. I was looking forward to watching Baker Mayfield out on the field and helping to command the offense. Fighting against the Steelers beating up one quote unquote, the old guard, telling Ben Rafel is Burger. Get the hell up on out the way This is my time right now..

"The same bathroom Not bad every year. I think the name this great basis Yes, have a couple good players on the team. But then today like I mean, I don't know. Like it does the bronzes. The Browns On guys just like one of those things that you know. Hey, is he not football and other good team, But, um, I'm just not very repetitive again. You know, Sunday way to clean it up at the end, they think, he said they were nameless Gray faces. The Browns are still the Browns. Okay? Yeah, I get it. The Browns gotta beat somebody. Why you gonna call out the hurt? See? Why are you going to call out the covert afflicted team that didn't practice all week? Would you juice Smith Schuster be talking trash about the Browns. If they weren't in a positive space, the steel is themselves. They didn't get a chance to rest. Would he be talking all that trash, then? Are you gonna kick somebody when they're down that that's unnecessary? And that I can't get with. You know it's one thing and this is totally different than what I said last night about Chase Young. He's supposed to say I want Tom Brady. He's supposed to say that Juju Smith Schuster. Has gotten his ass handed to him. This year because of a his performance be because all the dancing when they're losing, and now you're heading into the playoffs, and now you're still popping off like stop. And I mean, I wouldn't go to the extent Of calling him Antonio Brown Jr. I'm not going to call him a B light. Antonio Brown is in his own lane in his own world and his own space. Hell, I think in his brain he might think he's on his own planet. But Ju ju come on, man. We'll talk draft to a team that's not even gonna have their head coach available. It's unnecessary. That's That sucks. The best way I can put it. We're going to take a break. We come back. I want you to hear what Baker Mayfield had to say about their mindset. Heading into the game. Juju thinks it's the same old Browns. Baker Mayfield. What can he say? They're just trying to perform. Open up the phone lines as well. Do you think that the Browns stand a chance? Every day. We asked this question this week, but it keeps changing. I still don't like their odds. I don't like their chances. It'll be one hell of an upset. You're listening to the J. Steelers vs. Browns - Game Recap
"The cleveland browns. Two thousand two. The last time this franchise was in the playoffs but they beat the steelers yesterday's and they get in and dan. They started out running the football with nick. Chubb that power. Run game with nick chubb. You see that offensive line. Kind of changing. Denting the line of scrimmage and then chubs depth pig playmaking physical and not between the tackles but also got big enough speed and baker. Getting don is looking for tight. End up ten nine on first and goal in the third quarter this afternoon. Yeah the fact that they went back to this he missed it in the same play gets his is. Backside finds often prefer touchdown. No ben in this game mason rudolph way had some good moments. And then he had this one really good blitz packet by the browns defensive drop myles garrett into and then that safety to sit there like all right. Don't leave the ball mason. Rudolph shoots turner for this defense. Need mental switched sides on the field because it went to the fourth quarter and then it went to jarvis landry and the browns were up twenty four to nine not love this play. Call you kind of get. Landry sideline to sideline and you handed off for the touchdown. And then finally you get the ball out of pittsburgh's defense something that chase claypool done. So well look at his ability. Go up kind of contest for that. Catch over jumped. The fence and back touchdown pitchford. That made it twenty four sixteen and then under two minutes to go in the game and this is juju smith schuster and all of a sudden. It's twenty four twenty two dan. How about the two point conversion you gotta make sure at some point. This guy's got the opportunity to go high point of all scrambled around. Give them a chance to go get his hands on that. Football fewer still had chances stephen. Carlson somehow manages to come up with this on side kick. he's eighty nine cleveland. There for a moment there was kind of between the wickets. If you know what i mean. But he manages to hang onto it. And then dan baker mayfield runs with the first down the isis. The player not love the play call by defense came look at the emotion from baker mayfield. You don't kind of representing that city. Just look how much it means to him to finally get that done in cleveland. Good for him good for them. The browns are in the playoffs. The afc wild card round will kick off saturday.

Juju Smith-Schuster Launches Esports Organization
"Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver Juju Smith Schuster just launched an Esports organization. I'm a dream is the Sportsman it presented by E Sports Network. Juju is one of the most active traditional sports players in gaming in Esports. He joined Drake and ninja along with Travis Scott during that famous fortnite stream and his work closely with his clan over the last few years today. He announced team diverged. The new organization is described as a gaming entertainment and lifestyle company based on that and it's athlete owner the Oracle likely be trending towards the faith content model and not a purely competitive Focus team diverge is also claiming to be the first athlete LED gaming entertainment and lifestyle company. And I guess that depends on how you categorize that type of company wage. The plenty of e Sports organizations are owned by athletes Verizon echo-fox are two big ones plenty of soccer players, including David Beckham kind of also have organizations and so do a couple of other football players wage. That's not even including all the athletes who invest in orgs most major organizations have at least a couple athlete backers some like energy have a whole roster of All-Stars regardless. This is an organization Page look out for right now. The plan is for the org is to recruit athletes musicians and other celebrities, then they plan to open a gaming house and twenty Twenty-One and that will certainly be a hub for some really interesting content for now. They've been Fielding any teams in major e sports, but they do want to put together a group of players to compete in gaming tournaments. I'm imagining they're aiming it like war zone and fortnite Pro-Am or something similar to that Juju is also keep a relationship with basically an intact according to an E Sports Observer article. Although it's unlikely. He'll be continuing to work on any clothing lines like the one he did with phase now that he has his own Esports organization. Juju is one of the best examples of how athletes can use gaming to build massive Brands. He's active on all social media platforms that has over a million subscribers on YouTube over a million followers on Twitter and over three million followers on Instagram his twitch and half bath. Either a lot of that growth has been Thanks to his active presence in gaming circles as well as being a damn good NFL player. Of course,

I have heard of up some of these not all of these, you know, some of them you like like you got ninja, right? Like ninjas? The the the guy that's on the internet playing the video games. I say that he's a gamer and each one of them has has had like a forward written about who they are juju Smith Schuster big NFL wide receiver wrote his and he's in what they call the pioneers. Right. You got that? You've got people some the rock as artist Gail Gadot wrote about him, right? Like, and some most of these people I've heard of most of these people, you know, the usual Randy Malik, and Glenn Close and a few other that some of my never heard of leaders Nancy Pelosi, Hillary Rodham Clinton wrote about her, right? You got Trump and several other ones on there for those keeping score. You know who else is on there, though? And I found this to be very interesting kids. Christine Blasi Ford. What the hell is she on there for? Hey, you'll see I get right at a lot. And again, a lot of them. You're not going to know who they are. They're influential globally, whether they're titans of industry that you've never heard of or their politicians and in certain areas, but. Christine Blasi for are. You kidding me? Is this a joke? Right. What exactly did you do? I'm just curious. What did you do? Well, you know, she was setting. No, she never proved anything. She gave a half ass circus like gibberish. Couldn't remember a damn thing. Something that happened forty years ago, whatever in a place that she can't remember by people. She can't remember by people that were there who don't remember being there. I I'm curious about just exactly what it is. Right. That that to me. I just I found it to be fascinating. First Take
Is it possible for the Rockets to beat the Warriors?
"Want to buy. Aids. Is it possible? The rockets could get it together by the Western Conference fund where they're better than they were last year. Is that possible? I don't think so it's not possible. I don't think so I think that's poss- adult at the sixty five wins as good as they looked last year. I don't think it's possible for most teams to be better than they look lashes out. But what I mean is actually better like the the warriors one seventy three games. Yeah. And then they got better because they added the rent their regular season record wasn't as good. But in the moment of truth, they were clearly the best team. And of course, they should be big favorites. Again, the way they've been looking recently. And the talent we know they have my point is if you believe it's possible for the rockets to actually in the moment of truth now that they have the experience of last year be better than they were last year. They only need to be that much better by the snow. You don't think the lawyers? Got you go, Molly, I'm trying to make. It's just interesting doing down that ladder. They had no man that tell C P three got hurt. I just. Very very very clear. My reservations for Oakland have already been made. There is no there's no issue. Here is your I will be in Oakland at oracle ju- where where are you going to be on the east coast with us? I'm hoping I'm hoping today Milwaukee. But only for you know, I may wanna socialite that's all your team because a lot of drama goes another day in more support coming out for Pittsburgh's Antonio Brown. This time for fellow wideout juju Smith Schuster crazy stuff about AB. You gotta fill in a law firm. If you come back, you guys welcome. And they man he may he's guy. Yeah. Well, I wonder what his teammates feel about this tweet from AB who usually says businesses Bowman and right now, Stephen he's open for business. It'd be over for whatever you want still is Abbas right to say other so exc- he could be open to whatever he wants. I don't give a damn about Antonio Brown's feelings right now I wanted to stay with this. These that great. And really, by the way, I'm not telling you anything. I haven't told him. Yeah. If a damn by his feelings, I want him on a steel course. I don't want to Steelers to trade this, man. He's great. He's too. Great figuring it out. I'll give it there. You gotta give them a massage pedicure. You gotta take them. You gotta have sports therapy sessions with you gotta go play with his cage got treated to dinner for the next day. What you gotta do. Now. I will say this. I want him to apologize to Mike Tomlin to for pudding that coach in that position. But particularly considering the paucity of African American coaches, so only two and NFL it'd be three by the time. New England wins the Super Bowl, I guess unless they lose the bottom line is is that I don't like the position. He put my Tomlin. And that's about it outside of that. He doesn't want get Tomlin put him. That's fair. That's fair. Let's get over it and figure that I or Rooney is saying I don't see how you can be on the team next year. Yeah. And all the press all the chirping out of the Steelers negative towards the future with Antonio round. Like, we don't we don't see it, basically. Now, all of the sudden juju Smith Schuster, though, watching his body language and his and hey, Derek Carr. Yeah. I'm I'm inferring. What I see? That's true. I didn't seem to me like it was in juju Smith, Schuster heart. But you can't know another Mantar all you can do is inferred from what you see. Didn't I don't know? If he if those words that are coming out of his mouth reflect the way, he's feeling, but I'll let me read between the lines a little bit. It seems to me Stephen A that at the point that they were saying all that stuff. They were probably thinking we are going to try to trade him. And probably I imagine started to kick the tires on some trade ideas like one could they get back for him. And I think what I read this. As is. Maybe what's happening here is they're not liking what they're hearing in terms of the return on moving Antonio Brown. And that they're better off with him. That's my sense. If they don't if that is true, then the Steelers would have everything to do with that. Because how do you want to trade such as surreal asset and command top dollar a top cash eighth for him? When in fact, you've served a role in excoriating, correct? So what you do don't they say this is what happened with Kyrie? Right. When the whole world. Knows he's outta there. Or you're gonna get the best offer. The worst offer at the worst offer you have to make people believe that he's going to stay whether that's because you don't get the offer you want. It's going to snake or to make people believe it. So they come with a better offer before we move onto LeBron. I just have to say this quick. I don't think I ever gave you props on this. When lady on bell was sitting going to sit out. And I was like there's no way he sits out. You're like, no he's probably going to sit out and he sat out the entire season. I think you're the only person that actually believed that he would do that. When we think he could do if you wanted the gold at the end of the grandma never would his type talent on that team. But happened LeBron James on this is fifteen straight game with the Lakers take on the Timberwolves tonight. But he hasn't been ruled out for Sunday's matchup with the sons, according to coach Luke Walton when he was injured on Christmas day the Lakers weren't fourth place in the west since they injury, Los Angeles five and nine they've dropped to ninth plates in the west, Stephen A. How bad is what bronze injury for the Lakers of worry. I was told not to be worry if LeBron James Levy reading. Needed to he could go out the plate, and he would be ready, but I find this to be the most significant injury of his career I'm incredibly concerned because I want the Lakers to get a big time free agent. I want them to make some noise in the summertime, and I think that obviously when you took thirty four years of age, they are going to be people who are going to question your ability, even the great LeBron James almost never hurt. So the fact that he's outright. Now, you have to wonder whether or not a potential free agent is going to look at that. And question how much time does he have left at this level? That's when I'm not saying there's any legitimacy to that. I'm simply saying that that's a reasonable cause for concern. And so the bright lights LA Tinseltown palm tree. So the California weather notwithstanding. You'd never know what some marquee free agent is going to look at when it comes to Magic Johnson. Lincoln picking up the phone to call them and say come on L A what I man the Bron. When in fact, they're wondering about LeBron. More. I look at this more. I think Jerry's going to be a Laker. Yeah. Because I started to run down the scenarios if it's not a Y, and it doesn't look like it'll be why I wouldn't put anything past magic he landed. Lebron after all if it's not going to be K D or someone like that if Kemba Walker in fact wants to stay where he is. And they work that out if Mike Conley is not the answer in a trade. And if the Celtics don't wanna give Kyrie a supermax like why would we want to stay in Boston, not only that they're extremely talented coach the whole thing, but he'd get a supermax deal. Then I think kyri and LeBron could come around in their own minds to seeing a reconciliation as hey, what if Kobe and shack worked it out what if they parted ways? But then they said, you know, what we messed this up. Let's work this out and that eventually the Lakers would be Kyrie's team that's got to be very appealing. We know kyri has relationship with Kobe. And could you imagine if the Lakers didn't have to give up any assets at this trade deadline, if they kept Ingram and Kuzina and. An and heart and all these guys and simply added KYW read or run Bill that happens where are they in the west for ten Kyrie's there right now with LeBron and LeBron's healthy. And assuming Ingraham continues to improve and mom gets a little better share, maybe one more acquisition the right acquisition. Lakers can win the chip next year. If kyri is there, you do not need Lonzo ball. They're correct. And that means you might get something for Lonzo. Then you might not need Brandon Ingram either. Say that happening playing with LeBron listen, I'm told that is far fetched kyri is happy and Boston. He has no intentions of leaving. But Kenny had ever go around not shutting. I don't have to pretend I'm not sharing anything anything's together. Anything is they get back together for now. Sure about that. Thanks. Mitch listening to the podcast gets. Ben Roethlisberger is 'clearly a part of the problem'
"Next. Next team president art Rooney. The second said Wednesday that talks have started between the Steelers and Ben Rothlisberger on a contract extension. Big Ben who turns thirty seven in March has one year remaining on his current deal. And let's keep in mind. There's been a lot of drama and Pittsburgh fellas and Tonio Brown apparently wants out lay beyond bells that out the entire season. Not to mention that Big Ben has been going back and forth on retirement these past couple of seasons. Tedy Bruschi still here with us joining us from the Pro Bowl and Orlando I teddy. There you are. We got you got you and all your friends in the background is big and more of a problem or a solution because this franchise feels like a mess right now. Because both he's he's definitely a part of the problem because they no other men in which he's handled things. I mean, again, you know, you you've got numerous players. You've got numerous NFL aficionados that have religiously called out Big Ben for saying things in throwing people under the bubble in the fashion of the quarterbacks. Don't this is not me talking. This is basically reporting what they've said as max is done as many others. If you watch Big Ben you talking about juju Smith Schuster. We should have thrown the ball of him every time you say something like that. You've got to know you've been around Antonio Brown long enough to know, how those kind of things would affect him along with various other things in other positions that he has taken that. We don't have time to get into in the end when it comes down to is that has made him a part of the problem because Big Ben is live by different set of rules. He's a bit flagrant with it. And I don't give a. AM who you are anytime you receive preferential treatment that you are you are playing by different set of rules as everybody else you are going to rub people the wrong way, especially when you consider the individual who abuses, the privilege. That's the bottom line. Having said all of that. When you look at Big, Ben he's also a part of the solution because nobody's perfect everybody makes mistakes. And if you're willing to man up in knowledge that you could have done better in certain respects. I think that would go a long way, I think the thing that the Tonio Browns of the world and others that are incredibly frustrating is not that big been mixed the mistakes, they made is that he doesn't necessarily he isn't necessarily deemed as an individual that learns from apologized showed the pope level of contrition and move forward without making sure not to repeat those mistakes again throughout the years. You've seen a pattern of behavior that has been consistent with him in that he has gotten away with it. If you listened to those NFL players Antonio Brown is one of those NFL player. Here's somebody that has said that. And as a result, you a big band you want to alleviate this situation you speak up. You recognize us where you're at fault. And I think if he did that that would go along way. So he's both a problem and a problem solver in all of this because he's right in the middle of everything as the stock quarterback of the team who obviously has is outspoken, Saddam. Well, we agree and disagree because I think he is part of the problem the solution. But for very different reasons part of the problem because Ben Rothlisberger is like a rich man's Eli manning. He is too good for your team. Just to stink almost no matter. What's going on? Right. You're good. A win some games. Maybe make the usually make the playoffs. So how do you get his successor? There's no succession, I just talked about how you know, unless you're Bill Belichick level. And it's not so easy to find a quarterback when you're not drafting up high. You know, it's more of a crap shoot. They don't have the person there that they feel can take the reins of the team if they're truly grooming. It doesn't seem to me on the other end. Therefore at the moment. He reads a lot of power because when you don't have that. But you do have a talented team. And you have a quarterback who's shown he can still play at a very high level, and we're in an era. That's right teddy in an era where older quarterbacks are clearly protected in ways. They've never been you look the level. Tom Brady is still playing at forty one. Drew Brees at forty then rothlisburger at thirty seven that that they realize, oh, wait a minute as beat up as he's been as much as he talked about retirement. He's still maybe has some years of football left in him. We don't have as backup. So he wields probably too much influence and he seems to at times publicly throw players under teammates under the bus. He's a problem because he's too good to get that next quarterback with the draft pick. He's your solution to the extent that you're good because he's a really good quarterback. And if you ain't got that, you ain't got anything. I'm with both you here because Big Ben has been a problem, and he can be a part of the solution. But this is what's happening here as you're talking about max. The quarterbacks in this league getting older and older and still being able to play past forty. What's happening is a generational gap. A generational gap between the quarterback and all of the younger skilled players and all of the younger players on defense that are ended up being a part of this team and the ability to relate. So they're almost these kids are coming in plan. I mean rothlisburger will have players coming in make sure that have had his poster on the wall or something like that that group as fans, and so how does that quarterback that aging quarterback you mentioned breeze Brady and rothlisburger? How was he able to relate to them and make them feel like still an equal? And as one of his teammates, this is where Ben Rothlisberger has failed has he failed. Also and other aspects where Stephen as talking about what he's calling out teammates where he's got no business when he should have when he's the one making bad plays. Also. Yes, I agree with that. But he needs to learn to start to relate to these younger generation of players because he will continue to get older, and that gap is. Real and you'll see players life Brees. How he still it seems like medicine Brady and breathes? They're old. Okay. How do they still have these close bonds with these young players that come into their teams and their teammates talking about them like they're best? How does that happen? There's something. Character wise that breeze and Brady has right now that Rothlisberger is lacking. I need your help with something here. Because here's what you lost. You talked about him relating to the other players, and I don't disagree with that teddy. The problem is it eight the younger players complaining about him and Tonio Brown is thirty years old. He's been big big Big Ben Rothlisberger his teammate for almost the past decade. And so this is I'm not saying that, you know, the he's thirty seven thirty thirty seven like Big Ben is, but he ain't twenty eight twenty one like did you Smith Schuster? The man is thirty the last six seasons. He's had a minimum of one hundred one receptors a minimum of twelve hundred and eighty seven. Yard. He's produced. Poor Big Ben he's been a primary target for Big, Ben. And yet that's where the problem seems to lie at this particular moment in time. So how do you explain that? And I'll put it up put it simply then because I agree with you there. It's a feeling that I've had with the quarterback that I played with and a lot of the saints and a lot of these older players on these teams that are mentioning they have the overwhelming thought in their mind that my quarterbacks got my back. No matter what that's what I think's not there in Pittsburgh. It seemed like it seems like if something happens the quarterback isn't there to either bail you out off the field the Bill you out on? That's what it is. I don't know if they feel the same way some of these saints and other players that this quarterback. He's got my

Antonio Brown refused to practice in Week 17 after heated dispute with Ben Roethlisberger
"Internal rift in at first I thought what could make Brown so mad like what could have happened and you re morning allegedly there. There was the situation in practice where missed the hot route and been said he wanted to run it again, and he just lost it. What is going on with Antonio Brown? Round got upset this. According to Jeremy is reporting that rob Berger wanted to run a hot read over again during a walk-through so coaches sent another player into run the play a source close to the situation told Adam Schefter Brown got upset left. Practice and talked with rothlisburger afterward telling the quarterback that he felt underappreciated and had issues with people in the organization Emmett the Steelers locker room dating all the way back to a couple of years ago and the Facebook live incident with. Yeah. Forgot about that. You've got the lady on bell situation. Then you've got weird blow ups and just the dynamic within that team for his talented is they were to not make the playoffs. It just seems like a really toxic place to be right. It sounds like everybody's getting tired of each other. Like they've just been around each other for too long in the the Antonio Brown feeling under appreciated. What do you need to fill? Appreciate money back. Like, he's looked at his arguably the best receiver in the NFL. And I'm sure his teammates and his quarterback in his coach and everybody in the organization agrees with that statement. So what else do you need baby doesn't like the fact that juju Smith Schuster and and James Connor some of the other players on the offense. We're getting some run this year wasn't juju voted like team MVP. So maybe, but I

JuJu Smith-Schuster Apologizes for Fumble vs. Saints: 'I Let Everyone Down'
"Juju. Smith Schuster is a guy who last week before the game sad big week coming up. I know it's fantasy football championship week. I'll do my best and all that stuff. Well, if you're watching the Steelers game the other day, it looked like after the saints took the lead late. The Steelers were going to have a chance they were moved the ball downfield got into getting into field goal range and juju Smith Schuster at the ball pulled out from him. And he fumbled. He was on top of the Tacna underneath him. And they pulled the ball out fumble saints get the ball game ends juju Smith Schuster tweeted when I'm at my lowest. I'm not going to hide I'm sorry. That loss was on me. I let everybody down it won't happen again. I it's hard to imagine the NFL playoffs without the Pittsburgh Steelers. But that's what you

San Francisco Chronicle Sports - Spoken Edition
Oakland Raiders ponder an issue of respect for respective quarterbacks
"You're listening to the spoken edition of the San Francisco Chronicle. Oakland Raiders pondering issue of respect for respective quarterbacks by an Killian in the third quarter of Sunday Steelers raiders game. There was a sequence that seemed to reinforce everything that Oakland fans believed the league thinks about the two franchises going all the way back to the immaculate reception in nineteen seventy two the Steelers get the breaks the raiders never do on third in nineteen from the twenty two. Derek Carr went back to pass. But the ball slipped out of his hand. It looked many like an incomplete pass. But was ruled a fumble recovered by Pittsburgh. I thought for sure I was throwing it car said it just slipped out of my hand as I was throwing it. I didn't get hit. So I knew for sure that it just slipped out as obvious trying to throw it going forward car tried to get clarification from the officials in those intense situations, they think you're trying to come at them. And they're like, it's confirmed already car said. You don't get to converse about it four plays later Pittsburgh quarterback. Joshua Dobbs did almost the exact same thing. But it was ruled an incompletion Jon Gruden challenge. The ruling, but it was upheld. He had some guys reviewing it in New York. The raiders head coach said when asked about what happened how the hell would. I know. I can't even see the guy we have some guys ruling the game in making these decisions that you can't even have a conversation with I am not going to get fined or anything like that. But personally, I don't like the process of it. We have guys that riphil. She aiding the game we have eight officials guys in the box. I would appreciate if we had a face to face conversation. They didn't gruden's challenge was overruled as was a previous challenge. Also in the third quarter when Gruden thought that Pittsburgh receiver juju Smith Schuster stepped out of bounds. I saw the official throw his hat Gruden said that is the mechanics of a man stepping out of bounds. So we challenge. It. I'm not very good at the challenge process. I'm going to try to stay in a good mood tonight, regardless the process left Gruden with just one time out and no more challenges which could have come back to bite him. It didn't. But the process left. The raiders frustrated is in Oakland quarterback not as respected as a Pittsburgh quarterback. And let's not even wonder what would happen. If the football had oddly slipped out of say, Tom Brady's hand way. We already now.

The Stephen A. Smith Show
Ben Roethlisberger's comments 'disturbed' Stephen A
"But Big Ben Rothlisberger decides to open this mouth. And what does he say? He questions offensive coordinator. Randy Fichtner, not calling juju Smith Houston's number enough on a final drive. He questioned James Washington. Dropping a pass he questioned Antonio Brown's row. Running said nothing about his own damn interception. Said nothing. And then when you know, basically addressed. Over the thoughts of publicly criticising teammates. This is why Big Ben Rothlisberger had to say. Well, I think I have earned the right to be able to do that with as long as I have been here. This is what he told Chris a damn ski or Adamski of the Pittsburgh Tribune review. He says an I'll just be just as a critical of myself in the media as well. Well, I hear that. I haven't heard of that. He goes on being around for a long time with a lot of different players. You have to know how to motivate different guys at different ways. I think that's part of being a leader being a captain just understanding players. Sometimes you just grabbed him off to the side. And sometimes you have to be honest with them. So how does big win Roxburgh thing? Those he openly critiques whether it's on his radio show to other media where we ask we will ris at Big Ben says, go asked them, I have no idea. I would hope that they would understand that as the quarterback in the captain that I have the right to do those things. I don't feel like I abused that situation. So I don't think it's an issue. But you would have to ask them, wait a minute. I thought you said part of being a leader is known agus. Sometimes you got some guys you've got to pull to the side. Some guys you can sit there malign publicly. Now you saying they'll ask them, you don't know. So you didn't know how

The Stephen A. Smith Show
Stephen A.: 'I'm embarrassed by what I'm seeing from the Pittsburgh Steelers
"Me let me to just a little bit allow me to express to you the alarming level of frustration that I on questionably feel at this particular moment in time. I cannot put into words how disgusted I am. That the Pittsburgh Steelers ended up losing this game. I can't even put it into words. Ben Rothlisberger four hundred sixty two yards passing wasted. James connor. He's no Le vian bell. Juju Smith Schuster, thirteen receptions, one hundred and eighty nine yards wasted. For two reasons above all else. Big Ben Rothlisberger leading the league in red zone interceptions. Do another one yesterday was Shelby Harrison defensive lineman getting blocked in the coverage. And ultimately Ben Rothlisberger throwing the ball right to. Now. We can make the argument that it's the freakish interception that Ben Rothlisberger may have ever thrown as he so eloquent it in the aftermath of their twenty four to seventeen loss to the Denver Broncos yesterday. Denver Broncos team. That's now beating the charges in the Steelers in back to back weeks, by the way, we could go that route. All we can state the obvious. If you watched it throw, ladies and gentlemen, it was an interception. No matter what. Whether it was Shelby, all whether it was Roe. I'm sorry. Shelby. Harris. Oh, whether it was Roby who had. Antonio Brown completely covered. I don't know what the hell big. Ben Rothlisberger was thinking throwing that pass made absolutely positively no sense. Whatever you can point to that specific interception. But it was going to get into septic. It was going to get into septic. There is no doubt about that. There's absolutely positively. No doubt about that. Yet despite case keenum only one hundred ninety seven yards. Despite the fact that Denver didn't have the most formidable run a game to speak of. They still ended up winning the game. I mean Lindsay did have one hundred ten yards on fourteen carries. That's almost eight yards per carry. I got it. But the real culprit and all of this was bent. It was turnovers from Connor. It was a drop touchdown pass from Washington. I mean, I'm just looking around right now at the Pittsburgh Steelers. And I can't even express. The level of my frustration. Because you see regardless of how. But thank Pittsburgh secondary looked earlier in the season. They had got things together. They were looking a little bit better. But now, I'm of the monster. They lost that game yesterday. And I said, dammit, they just lost a trip to the AFC championship game. Now. Now, I'm not saying that laser gentlemen, mama's saying that it's a very simple explanation. And you know, what that explanation is? It's the fact that the Pittsburgh Steelers now dropped to what is it a fourth seed. Or at least a three seed in the AFC that means Kansas City and New England both ahead of you. That means to get to the AFC championship game. You're going to have to be one of the other one a row, and I don't think they're going to do that. Now had the Steelers and all likelihood possibly fighting for birth to the AFC championship game at Arrowhead stadium against the kids City Chiefs. You know, what if you had home games prior to that one could stand the believe who knows what kind of upset could transpire maybe I'll get lucky. Now, it's no way in hell.

Steelers score 3 touchdowns in 24 seconds
"Steeler nation does out. And so was the over in play last night. We'll watch the beginning of this game. We had three touchdowns in twenty four seconds three touchdowns in a span of twenty four seconds. The panthers. I touched down to the game. Followed up by juju. Smith Schuster seventy five yard touchdown one. Dr one play for the Pittsburgh Steelers. Followed up by Cam Newton pick six to put the Steelers up fourteen seven. The Steelers also scored two touchdowns as ban of twenty four seconds later in the game seven touchdowns by seven different players for the Pittsburgh Steelers. And it was that kind of night. It was the start of the game that was really emblematic of both teams. And you thought we would get the strength of both teams to begin with the Panthers opened up their opening drive spread out. Lots of Christian McCaffrey breaking off big runs. The Steelers defense looked noticeably frustrated as they're getting some of these read option looks, but they can't seem to defend in Carolina goes down scores with relative ease. And we thought all right. We're gonna have a ball game. The Steelers on the other side come back instant offense. Exactly who this team is that seventy five yard touchdown pass to juju. Smith Schuster long touchdown passes to end Tonio Brown later in that game. These are all things that are expected in this Pittsburgh offense

First Things First
Antonio Brown pitches Dez Bryant to the Steelers
"Why? If you're the newer jets, aren't you trying to come to some agreement in some kind of middle ground with Sam Donald on this because that means every other contract that comes to be, you have to come to every other every other contract, but Sam Donald doesn't play every other position he plays the quarterback which is premium change in any way. Now you're seeing more guarantees. And one of the few teams though that have this language in their contract, and this is this happened, Jill votes with the with the chargers chargers as an organization in the NFL our they regard. They're actually picked to win the AFC how the organization regarded around the national football. Everybody says that the charges are one of the worst organizations and football in terms of how they deal with contracts, how they relate to their players. So I don't think the charges are the model for what you wanna do. If you're the New York Jets, this all aside week one who's the starting quarterback for the jets, I would like it to be teddy Bridgewater just because the jets have three games in ten days. They've got a Monday night game Sunday night game in Thursday night on the road in Cleveland. I would like it to be teddy Bridgewater just because I think that's a lot for a rookie quarterback to digest. But I think that we'll see Sam Donald sooner rather than later. I think the last time we saw first round draft pick not play at the quarterback position is what he sees and was Aaron Rodgers back in two thousand five. You don't think Josh mccown. Listen, I love Josh mccown, but I think we saw the best of Josh mccown was last year being five and eleven journeyman quarterback for we all agree on that. But teddy Bridgewater we don't know how healthy he is. I mean, three games in ten days is a lot. You almost feel like you throw Josh mccown to the bulls. Let him take a beating then Bridgewater and then eventually late in the season. You get Donald up and going get what you're saying. But Todd Bowles has got to win more than five. Your. Chris, we're making stick around even long. Could Dez Bryant teaming up with Antonio Brown and Pittsburgh AB. Sure. Hope. So that's next on first things. First. Back here with Chris Canty and we are talking Dez Bryant a few days into most NFL training camps. And Brian is still not on a roster while the Browns and Bryant reportedly have mutual interests. Steelers wide receiver. Antonio Brown took to Twitter to recruit Dez. Brown tweeted, come play with me, does Bryant. Let's get the chip, eat greedy, big plates, see better option for Dez Steelers, Browns would go Steelers just because it would seem like if you add to that Brown's receiving group with Josh Gordon Jarvis Landry seems like that would be a combustible mix. So I think I would air on the side of going with a team that's more veteran ball club. They've got a veteran, quarterback, fetch skill position players. They're not going to be relying on this to be a number one or number two option for that matter because they got juju Smith Schuster. So I look at the Steelers situation, say what that probably fits Dez a little bit more than the Cleveland Browns. And plus we know that Ben Rothlisberger. Has been known to pay backyard football a little bit. Being able to add live run the scramble drill pretty much better than anybody in the NFL. I think Dez Bryant would fit that style more so than the Cleveland Browns and what Hugh Jackson wants to do with that offense. I get where you're going and where you come in from. But I think that das- wants to have a great year wherever he goes. He only wants a one year deal, so he wants to put up some type of numbers. So next offseason he can get a big contract in Pittsburgh. I mean, obviously got Antonio Brown. You got juju Smith soocer levian Bill catches a lot of balls like he got one hundred and thirty two targets lash..
