"Sam even otherwise smell, let's do a little long. It's sensitive stick in here. Hi, Kate endorse or can't in co host. Well Dory's out. My name is Sarah, and I am calling the question about dealing with your own guilt. When you live away from your parents, I grew up in the Boston suburbs as well represent seven eight one. And now I live in the Washington DC area, and I have a reason for wanting to be here is where my started my legal clear. I just got a new job and moving in with my boyfriend in like actual weeks. My parents are going to really hard time where they live in Massachusetts. They just moved my grandmother up from Florida. She struggling with dementia, and some physical health issues, and my dad is injured can't drive. They have a great support system of friends up there. But it just I feel so bad that I'm not there to, like, pick my grandmother up from. Hospital and take her back to her new assisted living because neither of my parents can really make. It's a long story. Anyway, without something all the details on you. I feel shitty about not being able to help more on a day-to-day basis, I try to call almost every day and do what it can. But I have like a really immense amount of guilt doubt it should appoint where sometimes I'm like should I just move home, even though I don't want to be here. My life is here, but my family's there, and I, I'm having trouble squaring that. And I just feel that anyway, I know that you both live far away from your parents as well. And if you have any thoughts on how to get through the periods of guilt about this high soon that you have those everybody probably does. But anyway, thanks for everything. I am. Thanks Norah for being the great co-host week. I just have through that at the soda. And this has been very long voice. Male. But anyway, thanks again, you both and them. I really appreciate your loss or other listeners thoughts. Thanks and have a great rest the weekend. Bye. Okay. Wow. Listener totally feel you Sammy you live away from your family as well. Yeah. We are pretty spread out. Yeah. You're all over right? Like you've got family Colorado. You've got family Vegas. Yes. Oh, my parents, and my eldest sister, and her him was said wife, her husband. Live in Las Vegas and my sister lives in Denver. And my two of my nephews live in Denver or the surrounding areas. And then one of my nephews and Durango. I live in LA, as, as well as my brother and my sister. So that's a lot of family spread out. Yeah. And we used to all be concentrated in Colorado aside from my sister. That's been in LA. Yeah. And it's it's so rough because we did did grow up like so tight knit and close and stuff. And we've always been there for each other, when things get really rough and my sister, and my parents are going through some things to, and it is really, really hard to be away from them. But I think that the if spitting it like your parents are proud of you and you have found a good life, and you're living the best way that you can your happiness is important to them. But also. They've figured it out, and they're managing yet. Also, it sounds like the listener, like listener, I know can I know the feelings of guilt, and I think sometimes they can cloud us from seeing reality, and the reality is, you're doing a lot all ready. Like you are showing up in the ways that you can. And maybe we can brainstorm some other things you can do you feel like you are contributing. But, like the fact that you're in touch with them in the fact that you are conscious that it's hard like I bet you're, you're doing more than you realize. Right. And also, I do think it's like this weird catch twenty two with parents where like they want you to be like, outliving your best like being true to yourself and living your life. And all like when my mom was really sick my mom. I don't know. I talked about this all the time and wrote a book about having a dead, mom. It's still people. Find are just finding out the my mom had pancreatic cancer twelve years ago. I like I moved home to help take care of her, and she would be like, please go back to New York and go see your friends and do your job like do the things like she was like, please go away. Even though I was helping care for her because I think they want you. I think oftentimes I obviously we can't speak for every parent ever exist in the. World. But parents parents, do want you to be focusing on your own life in your relationships and growing yourself as a person. So I think if you if there are things you can do that. You feel are concrete to help whether that is checking in with a voicemail or FaceTime, weather that is contributing financially if that's something you want to think about or, you know, like getting your parents housekeeper or, you know, maybe there's you can send them a gift card for. I don't mean there's sure yeah. Do. Yeah. You can help get food delivery service or someone to get their groceries for them. Or you can just make sure you check in, and I think that means a lot. Yeah. And you said you call them almost every day. I mean take it one step further and get like Marco Polo, or one of those apps where you just like send low key, little videos over, and it's like it's like a ongoing thread, and you can your parents can like easily watch them and go back and just say miss you. You're having sent video like there's just there, there are a lot of things to keep in close communication. If our away, and I will say DC to Boston, you could do the Amtrak, if it's again, we obviously don't know like your financial situation. But if it's affordable for you, you can, you know, fly, maybe try to fly home, every eight you know, if you want to try to figure out little ways where you can be present while still maintaining your life in DC. I think that's definitely something you could consider. But be kind yourself. It sounds like you are really thoughtful family member, and, or probably already doing a lot more than you realize and just your support and phone calls. Probably mean a lot. Judah Sammy cannot we just wrap it up with one final Email? Okay. Here's the mill Kate. This is for me. Sammy, I also share your love for Costco, right now I live fifteen to twenty minutes away from two really good. Costco's, However, I will be moving shortly. And my nearest Costco will be thirty minutes away. This is like a math problem that I had to do nice school. Is it silly that this is one of my concerns it is going to be so hard now to swing by purchase my beloved olive oil or my huge bag of Chia seeds, any advice on how to cope with my loss of Costco's close to where I live. Well, this is a travesty and a tragedy losing your close. Costco's academy engine. You don't frequent Costco. Do you Sammy? I don't. I mean, you are an individual who lives alone. They actually ever got a Costco card. And so she's always like he goes store like, no, I don't want seven hundred pounds of chicken breast. But thank you. We'll look I do listener. Look, I understand. I don't think it's silly to take these kinds of things into consideration living near a grocery store is important knowing where your food and products are coming from, especially if like you have budgeted, and Costco is what works best for you. I get it. It's a nuts annoying. I would say, though listener, I don't know if you work during the day at a place outside of the home, if leaving, if you can set up some time to make if you have family children, I don't know your deal, so I don't want to be, like, hey, go on a Monday at ten o'clock when you might be in the office seeing patients at your veterinary business. I just made up a life for this listener their vet. But I would say like maybe you can figure out what is what you love to get from Costco, and you're just gonna have. To get into a new rhythm of when you go of how often you go of what you buy of how much you buy look, there's a whole science to Costco. And I think you already know what works for you now. And you're just gonna have to adjust and you know, thirty minutes put on a good podcast or an audio book, or, you know, like a conflict, your confidence boosting song playlists that we are going to put together make it an experience. If you can maybe go once a month stock up on all those Chia seeds by more than you normally get, hopefully, you have a big storage facility for all this. But I don't think it's silly. It's moving you have to change your whole pattern of behavior and where you go, and what you frequent and your gas station and your pharmacy like that, that disrupts everything. So it's not even though it sounds silly, when we're like we're Sam sad about losing my Costco, or whatever it might be. I get it to coffee shop get a lot of new stuff when you move. Semi went away in here. You'll be fine. I mean yeah. Have it. Breaking your habits or was it? Raking your habits. Yeah. Breaking your habits is hard and tough, but you'll figure it out, especially because Costco's like a really, really great place. And the best thing about it is it is in bulk, right? You'll be yeah. It'll be fine Costco's actually built for you to move far away. Yeah. There are people who I think, like, who live two hours from a Costco, and probably go once every two months and pack up the car, and drive home full of Chia seeds. And you can also like let's say you have kids make you know you can go have lunch can eat a hot dog the yogurt per phase. You're into that cafe Costco Sammy. No, you are missing out. I know it is the pizza Costco's fantastic. So maybe you can get your gas. So maybe you can make it a bigger thing so that you don't have to do it as frequent, right? Make a little more fun. Make it like a family vacation early personal self care Costco. Spotty they go. There we go. Well let's there's Sammy. Thank you for stepping in taking on this task of Minneapolis owed questions. Not easy. No. It's hard work. Wow. We. Yeah. I appreciate your input here and listeners, thank you so much Sammy. Just quick shout war. Can we find you go to my Instagram? It underscore your underscores Sam get really silly on their Twitter. I'm at Sammy who knew as a m e e j you and I o very silly there as well. Don't find me on Facebook, your silly everywhere. Also Sammy is the executive producer of a new show on Netflix with shoe should definitely watch. It's called historical roasts. Yep. Out on Memorial Day binge it. And then tell that flex to keep going, thanks everybody by..

"So I I was seemed to be hitting their stride. I was hoping at home. We can we you know, we would be able to to win this one. Boy, the defense was just all I mean, that's that's the big takes bad. Was that was the worst defense? I've seen Stafford was good enough. Not to throw the, you know, throw that in opportune pick that we've been living on this really saved us in our wins. Is yet we didn't get any time in our in our wins that we've had like we had like our end zone picking like every one of those games than we are just three of them. No, nothing all of them. Not the titans game. Okay. But they were all like we did get picks in the titans game. Just right. Yeah. No. But I mean like like gate those are games. Those are momentum swinging huge saving you three points at least if not seven like they're huge swings. And we weren't that wasn't going to happen against staff. That was an, you know, honestly, like if you look at the recipe of what the lines did. It's been traditionally how teams just dashing destroy the dolphins. Just throw the ball tight end and run right down their throats. And maybe Patricia knows that from his years of the patriots. I don't think that guy knows anything he might not. But I mean that is that's traditionally how you beat them in like our how we've gotten beaten over the years, and I we just hadn't seen it exposed as poorly. The I mean, mean, I I guess guess in in the. the pie didn't see him pulling that off in Foxborough lash in Miami last year. No, I know. Well, he wasn't calling the game. I mean last year when he was the defense running the defense. Yeah. The yeah. Oh, you're saying the offense. Anyway. All right. So let's let's move. Let's take a look at a you know what what's today Tuesday. So in two days two days Judah Sammy dolphin Brock Osweiler returns to Texas to Houston where he stole a whole bunch of money. He sure did. Oh my God for him. Yeah. No. I don't absolutely definitely don't fault them for that. And honestly, he he led them to the playoffs that we didn't lead them, but he was their quarterback. And they went to the playoffs and they wanna play off game. He was he was benched for Tom savage. No. I don't think. So. Yeah, I'm pretty sure that happened. Well, he was the quarterback in the playoff game that they want. He was the quarterback affecting. Regardless. He did not have a great, No, no. no, literally gave away a second round pick to get him off their team. Yeah. To get rid of the contract, which. Hey, he's looked. Okay. He's fine. He's fine. He he's good in this, offense, whatever. So the Texans defense has been absolutely insane. The last couple of weeks. I don't know if you've been following this not closely. But I mean, I've I've watched some scores. They haven't played any like really good offenses. Not saying ours is a really good offense. That's not what I was waiting. But I'm just saying they haven't, you know, TJ TJ, which is the brother, which is this one this. I'm old you've been feeding me these seltzer. We've fat one. We haven't even days JJ what he does have a brother. So he looks like he's back to form county. And what's his Mercer Leah's that other guy? He's really good. Yeah. I don't know much about their secondary. But they seem to be able to get after quarterbacks and do they have more than two Cornerbacks. They do have more than two quarter, and they can cover are wide receiver. Well, we have three and possibly you counting. Parker. I am counting park. Well, no. I was actually Ford actually looked good in the preseason. No, yet Karoo might be good. Who knows I liked? I thought he was good. He was just buried behind guys like him. Like, he he's Karoo is to grant as grant is to Wilson. All right. Perfect. Wilson's a better grant grants a better career. And remember when he had restored Matthews. I guess Rashad Matthews is kind of like kind of like that guy win the new New York jet. He did get signed by the jets..
