"Yeah, just to get confirmation from both and running on and scored and chip can ask erasing. It was simply a case for Scott Dixon and Alexander Rossi of running out of fuel and then an inability to get the engine re fired and that has cost them dearly. They lost a lap because of that on pit lane. Go to Alex Wolff. But the reason for the caution Stephan Wilson with that trouble, I'm peddling intact to the team, and they said that when he slammed on the brakes, Davey Hamlin hit the nail right on the head. The weight transfer Gaddum and Brakes locked up and he lost it. It was too late. Elsewhere on my section, sage carom tire pressure adjustment, They said. The car's feeling good, but just having trouble passing. Yeah, that's exactly what happens. These brakes are very tricky. They work great. They're the best breaks their amazing how well they work. But when you don't use them and don't have heating them all the time, they can grab like that and catch catch by. Surprise. Yeah, big surprises. We mentioned Dixon and Rossi each a lap down with their issues on pit road, 31. 32 is where their positions are. Steph Wilson will finish 33rd. Conner Daly, the big winner. Those round two stops Davey. He's Plus 16 not sure how he did that. I got a look back at the exactly what went on there. He was just kind of back in the field, and that's you know, 18th 17th position. And next thing we know, after this round of stops, he finds himself in third by the great guys continued to win find themselves in the back, including Dixon. Yeah, we'll give you a full field run down this time by is we're still under caution. It's heard a BK daily Hunter Rey and Castro Neves one through five. Six this below seventh award ate this. He finished 33rd. We should say he is out of the race and back on the field those a lap down because they went in during a closed But they've got to come back. They gotta come back. That's exactly right. Nothing. We're with with Rossi and Dixon. They came in. They topped off right now they're going. They have more fuel than anybody else. Unfortunate they're both lap down. So there's it's just strange, and that's the thing that that is so incredible about this place. Davey. I mean, there were a lot of drivers feeling pretty good about their lot in life and then Boy. It's the timing of things like what happened on pity? Yeah, you know the way the way this race goes, It always changes so much from the start of vanished and it's gonna change completely again. I feel it's still really early. We just got past our first round of pit stop for 40 to lapse into 200. I still think there's gonna be a lot to happen. But you know everybody this week this entire month thinking Scott Dixon's Got this including myself, and just one little thing run out of gas and whatever reason, they run out of fuel and and The car's work starting it could be vapor lock to knows what happened. "Trying to make motor sports more inclusive? It's one of those things where I had hoped back when I first started that There would be more people that look like me in this sport. I've heard people say, Well, we didn't think that you know, blacks are interested in motor sports. I just think that it's so important what the speedway was done. What Indy car is doing to open up to say, Welcome to a community that I think has a strong interest. It just happened, so the level of comfort if you will coming into the speedway. So it it's a great thing, not just for us, but I really think it's a great thing for the sport. I'm Katy Kyle. That's on track with diversity for the NTT IndyCar series. Thanks, Katie. "Those Firestone reds. Alex Pelo. We'll let that chicken as the racing machine swing wide out of turn Number three. He'll touch the rumble strips and right in his tire tracks is Rina Speak a cake? It's a nice large between turns five and six about a five car like disadvantage for Rita, speaking over Pelo give that young Spaniard Alex below who won earlier this year and Barbara Motor Sports Park. A lot of credit. He got the heat into those Firestone tires because VK was wearing him out on that out lab. They'll make their way through Turns seven and a Pelosi advantage about four car lengths over B. K. There is a slight breeze right now, that's starting to come on The South end. And perhaps part of that is just the exhale of Alex. Hello because he's got a lot less work to do this time. By then he did last. Rita's VK is behind him, but not nearest closest. They're going to turn number 12. As the last circuit Hello now into 13 case right there as well. It's about a 20 yard advantage right now. For Polo Scott Dixon is your leader. "A nice blend of youth and experience of the power was dominant. Newgarden was right there in Rossi and Ray Holman get Rosenquist Had Harvey had Keiko heard those guys put together a top 10 days and You know, heard us right back there in the top today Marcus Eriksen and fifth But again, a lot of the veterans showing a lot of moxie here. Yeah, I just think that's the cool thing about our sport is, you know one week to go to Indianapolis, and it's the 40 somethings of Scott Dixon into Masato shine out. Then we go Worldwide Technology Raceway and its current drivers think we think are absolutely in their prime. Like Josef Newgarden, who's the best driver the weekend and then we come to Ohio and now we're getting a taste of IndyCar speech over the next 10 15 years with guys like Ferrucci blowing us all away by how fast he wasn't qualifying and then ultimately hurt if he could hold on for the final by laps to pick up his third career when it's just interesting setup drivers that we have in this sport right now, Mark and I think there's a lot to be excited, and I think they gave me a lot of credit has to be given to the road and the way they print these guys without that. In the end the road Indian general, that's such a great job and a good stepping stone to get in any car in delight. Unfortunate little bit of a hiatus this year. Just reworking it with Roger pits in Dan Andersen investors where it needs to be a Sfar exposure, and it's cost for get more people involved and come back next year Strong, But these are great cars matter. Fact, indeed. Nice car mark. It has the same exact car to see if it so far this antique cars are really It's you crapped on how it feels to be nine laps to go Hurt Rossi Hunter Rain Ray Hole. Eriksen the top five Passion of Power Newgarden award at Ikea, the top 10 2 3rd of the ladder to the road in the continues there 2020 campaign. Let's get an update on that from the guy who knows He's the Insider talking about Rob. Mark. We had really solid a competition yesterday trying to get things going for the second end of the doubleheader for any pro 2000 earlier today, But as we all know, the rain came through wash that out that race still to come this afternoon after we wrap up this IndyCar event, But we did have a U. S. F 2000 race and really interesting. I talked yesterday about the domination the start of season by the Danish driver Christian Rasmussen for J. Howard Driver developments. Hey, won the first six race of the year in a row and it looked like he was gonna run away at the championship, had some trouble in the Indianapolis Motor Speedway in a couple of DNF in the first two races here this weekend. Qualified on pole for race number three today was able to score a victory and it's absolutely huge young drivers here in this program to be able to get that confidence back again. Imagine the confidence of Christian had with six straight wins. When you get 45 DNF. You find yourself just two points up in the championship. It really starts to wear away at it, but it got he's got Howard in his corner settled them down. Christian had a really good run today to go back to a race championship standing a little bit more. It's the young guns coming from Kate Motor Sports, with Reese Golden Michel de Orlando, Christian Brook, stepping up well for exclusive auto sports. It's a lot of really good young town, including Ruben very quick, Reuben Spirit. Kelly's son, Eduardo Barrichello got to win at Indianapolis. Lots of young talent in us F 2000 ft At any pro 2000 category is baby just said We're looking forward to the return of Indy lights next year. I honestly believe we're gonna have 14 drivers may be 16 in that program next year. Once once Roger Penske kind of rules that what's gonna happen in 2021 ready? Honest, already filled with their Indy lights. Drivers was gonna be spillover for other teams because they're already filled. It's looking good for 2021 Wait for the announcement. With all these drivers coming into the ranks and Indy lights not running this year, you're going to see a lot of rookies coming into that program when we get back at it. Next stuff. Thank you. Well, skeptics that I said about seven or eight seconds and lots of work to do to get a spot Pasa Jack Harvey, and he did just that in Turn over Mark. You know me for about a decade is the first time I've told you this, but I feel stupid because I didn't think there was any way sky would erase that eight second Gap. Jack Harvey, and he did it, like four laps easily passed him moments ago down in turn number four to move up in the 11th place. So Rina speak a lookout because just two seconds back, I would imagine within a lap with those fresh tires Mark. He's gonna be all over that, Brooke. That is not going to make you think a real comfortable that's for sure. Meanwhile, up It was two seconds of few moments ago, Rossi has shaved a couple of 10th off dating Colt still in pretty good shape with six laps to go with lead of 1.7 seconds, 1.7 seconds. I think it's really good shape. I mean, I asked who's hanging on for six more laps from seven more laps, six more laps, actually, and this is his man to pick up a second half. Six laps is extremely hard to do. Except when he just checks tonight like gaining eight seconds on Harvey, But I think these guys are just so close to me. Watching their lap times were almost identical for those top three guys. Actually, the top four guys even rail really run the same time. They're interesting to watch Josef Newgarden. He's chasing his teammates, Willpower and Simon passion O end up New garden is really the only one of those three behind him. But he's the only one of three dick with a legitimate shot at the championship stands right now, and he's the author Pinsky car train there, So you've gotta be wondering if they might be asking. One of those guys that maybe he'd Josef Newgarden, but his certainly put the pressure on willpower. Just 7/10 of a second. They're making their way across the start Finish line now. So new gardens. They're putting pressure on on willpower. And he's gotta understand that is Scott Dixon starts to call his way back to the fact as well. Mark that championship league continues to grow. You have been in situations, Davy Over the years. You expected certain things to happen to help you win. The championship, but you had to legitimate shots at it things. There's no team orders, which I kind of wish you were back in the day. But today it is what it is. You like to think that there is no team orders. You just earned What? You aren't on the race track. That's why I had to do it. But you never know. I mean, you see things happening. You're right. I mean, if you're Roger Prince and you want to win another championship, your best guy is buying two of your other guys. So what do you say? It's a tough call, because, you know, I mean, points points. We talked about it. And nobody knows that better than Scott Dixon. That's why he worked so hard to pass card. Wei have a championship a few years ago where Dixon and Juan Montoya went. They were typed the same amount of points. So you don't think on extra point here. There can't factor in. It's It's oftentimes huge mark we've seen Scott Dixon has eliminated that lead from Marina, Speak his car like soft racing cares. Yeah, this is the battle for 10 folks. And quite frankly, this is And has championship implications for Scott Dixon, most assuredly, and then there will be three laps to get this done this side by and he is all over it going into turn number one. It's separated by just two or three car legs as they race out of turn number one. Dixon, right. The tire tracks of the rookie 20 year old Rina, speak a as they go through turn Number two is right there and sets him up for tournament to see six. Get run out of the corner. A little bit of brake spoke coming up the car. Frieda's ck is he braked much? Much later they make the bender the right hander through turn number three. It's got Dixon is right up under the rear wing CK is making that car plenty wide. He had the elbows out in turnover for Nick. Yeah. Bit of a defensive move from Marina speak Kato movement drivers left blocked the momentum. Got Dixon. He was not able to get alongside. Now. They charged back down the hill turn over six. Dixon and that origin Blue PNC Bank car about a car like behind Ikea is they brought on the heart of rich for Colton. Hurdle over. Alexander Rossi is down 1.1 seconds with just three laps to go. But we're watching the championship leader Scott Dixon stock Rina's vacay as they start to set up for the carousel. He is right up underneath the rear way. Yeah, whitening part of the racetrack sticks against awful close right up underneath that rear wing out of the final quarter of Ikea with a nice charge, also within two or three car lengths. Now, the fastest part and quick turn number one. Dixon gets a good charges where he spun earlier in this race. Nice and clean the mark two car lengths behind Piquet and turn to that V..

"Place in Kentucky. Right now, it's busy weekend there, but as far as the IndyCar Siri's well, that would be road America is the place to be Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin. The man will have the call of both races on the Indy car radio network Saturday night and Sunday afternoon. Is, of course, our buddy and Mark Jane's and a week ago. Yes, I realize it was closer to home. Yes, I realize it was a road course in not an oval. But man last Saturday looked a whole lot like the race in Texas four weeks earlier, didn't it? You know, it's funny. Every year. A new crop of rookies come in and that Josef Newgarden win championships. Alex Alexander Rossi wins the Indianapolis 500 You know, Carter daily that secures a fulltime season and, you know, cold murder sets the world on fire, getting a couple of wins and all of that, and you know you had a bit of a changing of the guard over the past couple of years, Of course, Tony Kanaan consecutive race started string is Is broken. That's the GM are Grand Prix. You know Juan Montoya know Walker. The Siri's Helio Castroneves has no love for full time to the Siri's. Do you think that They're gonna love naturally love Scott Dixit into that I'm doing what he's doing that he died in 2000 but I think, he said the kid's a clear message to the first gavel. Abrasions of the season that still 28 gas left in that take if you will it it is just And then great. You see that over the years and all forces sports. Sometimes the right guy lands in the right place at the right time. You don't expect that the last over 19 years, but that's exactly what's what's happened with Chip could ask of my colon. And that entire team with Scott Dixon. I really hope that people fully appreciate what they're seeing. I mean, this is Mario and point and Beers and Unser greatness that we're watching. And if if you don't want to take my word forth and do yourself a favor and And you know, go to indycar dot com and and look at the career statistics of Driver's Ed. I mean, he's He's right there among the best of the best that it is just it's spectacular. What is what he's been able to pull off to the 1st 2 races of being the fact that I was so radio centric and talking about the Brickyard all weekend. I've got those numbers off top my head. A J 67 career wins the top level of American Open wheel racing. Mario 52. Next is Scott Dixon with 48 when it comes to serious championships. Age is the only guy that's got Moorhouse. He's got seven. Scott has got five. I'm not trying to start the comparison game here. Which is the fact that Scots in the conversation with Mario in a J, that sets that says enough, doesn't it? I think it does. And let's not forget the fact he's not 40 years old yet, right? I mean that gravity he started winning races is a serious It's 18 19 years old. And and I don't think a lot of people realize that just have much he had accomplished the head before the age of 30 years old and I don't know the thing that only says impressed me about him. Though Greg is more than the winds of more than the last live you don't have Sometimes. What guys? Maybe don't have a car that's capable of winning. But they'll push the envelope a little bit are they and the team will make adjustments during the race or make a sort of adjustments that caused him to go in the wrong direction. And then the car gets loose, and they wanted out, so they ended up with a you know, instead of 1/4 or fifth place finish. They ended up with a 16 or 17 place finisher and B and that's just not Scott Dixit. I mean, don't get me wrong. I mean, he wants the wedding to every time that he rolled the car out onto the racetracks. But I think his greatness has always come with the fact that When he had 1/3 place car he took at home in third place and took the points. He didn't force the issue and throw away. You know what points that he could claim and And that's what's always been most impressive about Scott did and I think most drivers, the paddock will tell you that in terms of a championship season, they don't feel comfortable having him beaten until some someone hands them The Cup. That's that's that's That's the reverence and respect. I think they have prescribed addiction is a complex and I was going to say this, You know, it's a 14 race season this year because of a truncated schedule. He has won the 1st 2 If he wins one of these two races this weekend. What does that mean for the championship Chase? We're talking about number six already in the middle of July. Well, I think the the issue that you would have at that point, Greg is that it's not a matter of somewhat else being given a win the championship, they would have to be able to do that while he loses it if you look at at the numbers In terms of his being an ass that psyche finishes like 88% or he's finished like maybe 89 or 90% of the races that he has started, which is an unbeatable number. All copters about actually even be higher than that. Don't have it right here in front of me, but, yeah, Yeah, we get a couple of wins. They get to win this weekend and then they have one when next weekend. And then you know, back set up with a couple of top five..

"And welcome to another episode of Pit Lane Parlay. My name is host Mike Joke just and Net are joining me as we have plenty to discuss from the last week and a half or so this week again brought to you by grip Matt Dot Com. The world's first flexible non slip tool met that makes for a great gift for the person who loves working on their car. Use Promo Code. E LP TV for ten percent of your order on a somber note before we get going here. Just want to wish. Ryan Newman quick and speedy recovery from his Daytona five hundred injuries as of recording on Tuesday. Evening he was awake and talking to doctors in his family. So that's amazing to see but Young I hope. Hope he recovers quick. He's seems like a standout guy in any driver who supports any sort of animal. Charities is is up on on my list of drivers to support so opie recovered from from whatever the injuries are it was definitely scared to see. Yeah and having watched racing for a long time that was one of the worst crashes I've ever seen Alive I think given the impact the wall and then sliding on his roof and then getting hit again is pretty much kind of worst case scenario in the NASCAR world so the fact that he was you know awake and talking family has stay Tuesday. I think was phenomenal news. Not Think I echo everybody's sentiments that. We were all really relieved when we got the news last night. Monday night that he was in serious but stable condition. Because you know we all Sumer so just wishing Ryan the best in a quick recovery. Yeah I mean obviously after seeing that and seeing the difficulty they had getting him out of the car and everything else it. It was extremely Good news to get that he basically in the long run. It's probably GONNA be mostly okay. Obviously we don't know injuries at this point in time but I mean it's it's kind of a miracle that he was able to be extracted from that car in one piece so definitely wishing him well and hopefully he recovers quickly and and hopefully he can rise again someday says so with that we will move on starting with B. Circle of the Americas open tests from last week. Just a quick recap of the top. Five would be willpower. Alex Rossi Scott McLaughlin Joseph New Garden and Colton Herta's so guys any surprises disappointments. I Dunno where you want to start with that but I will turn it over to you yet. Mclaughlin noon as well as hated was. I don't know if it's necessarily surprising but it was. It was really good to see I the I guess the only disappointment I have honestly is in the weather so they didn't get more time because that would win would have been nice to see But Yeah I'm academy just made me that much more. Prompt for this season for me and my big surprise was Alex Paolo P. Nine with you know what I've been predicting decimated coin team. That's really impressive. I mean he's been in the car two or three times in to go out there and it the ninth best lap in a a really stacked field. I think that's a really good reflection on him so far and he's been saying the right things. You did the test Texas Awhile and was very psyched about that. So so far. He's he's passing the face value tests on the other side in black and white world. I know we're talking about testing but third ask Connor Daily I. I wonder if they were trying some setups or do something outside the box. I hope that's the case because not the greatest start from from him but you know obviously again just to test not panic. Button territory by any means but I'm curious to sue his paces like going forward so just on my surprise so I had to quit can scramble and find another answer here. I'm GonNa go with McLaren Oliver. S Q you. Seven Outta award tens you know not just a rookie was seven but or guys in the top ten and I think at some point in testing there were even higher than that for a while. My disappointment is definitely the weather. I missed all of Media Day on Monday and Tuesday. There was no track running and then I had to run back to the airport Tuesday night so I didn't really get to see anything in person when I was down there. So that was definitely my biggest disappointment of the open test though we will keep going down the list here your favorite current favourite livery that you saw the test. I don't know if I should go first since I wrote an article on our website. Check it out. Shameless plug read that but Mayan if you didn't read it was Felix Rosenquist. I think that car that's absolutely stunning Slash medicine slash beautiful slash terrifying slash elegant. I think it Kinda Caps everything I would want delivery and I love the black think. It's a home run and getting away with Alex Hailu because that pink is fire to me. I just love it very much matches my jacket that I'm wearing right now that you guys can't see but I mean it just it just really stands out especially in the afternoon sunshine. I'M GONNA go with Alex Ross's alternation scheme that we will see at a races. Ashir and NAPA has the other night I forget what what which which is which the pink and Grey Combo looked really really slick. I know some people said it looked similar to hello or Lou however you say his name. I know we've probably all gotten a wrong at some point this off season. But yeah that's that's definitely my pick for their so lastly We will recap who we predicted which struggle and who would do well Matt had arenas vk doing well and Ren- ass- is a team so not so good there and Matt said Arrow would struggle definitely. Matt dropped the ball big time on this prediction. Let's see here. I had Zach each doing well seventeenth now sued had Sato struggling and Tacoma was twenty. Second KINDA got outright. And lastly just had had oh doing well so I think just automatically wins because otherwise none of our pigs are really good in this one. She had ed carpenter struggling so far off. There I adjust winced just Bar Wins this round. Who's just detest Doesn't matter I still want Esquerre to test for us to. Hopefully you're testing your Luck this year because if you're going to bring rain to every race or flight delay or I mean I should probably cancel my flight now. It just please don't please don't because I'm traveling to all them with him. So just please please. Please don't bring flights. May Mike Sorry Jinx that than I might as well. Just cancel my plans. I'm nervous now. All right so we will move in to our next topic. We're GonNa talk just a little bit about team penske so. Tk and Paul. Tracy were discussing during the broadcast. Who IS SCOTT MCLAUGHLIN? Gunnery place if they bring him on full time next year. Tk Tang said it's GONNA be no. He thinks it's going to be power. What you guys saying. I think that if Roger PENSKE REPLACES WILLPOWER. Something's not right. I think it would have to be because he had a disastrous twenty twenty. Which I just don't see happening again. I've Sung praises for power a lot of times on the show specifically. He's probably the most well rounded drivers in the field when it comes to always an road courses and he's done a lot for team penske since he joined the twenty nine so yeah. I think it'd be foolish to replace our obviously new gardens kind of the face of that team. And he's what twenty seven twenty eight so he's still got a decade if he wants it As long as he continues to produce which defending champion so it has to be by default then Simon Patch now and. I don't think it's anything wrong. I just think he's not producing the results consistently as power and new garden. Obviously want any last year. But you know. I think we'll see what he does this year. I guess I feel like this. One is incredibly tough to predict because year after winning the indy. Five hundred or year and a half. After Juan Montoya was out of a ride. Castro Neves was out of the ride after a solid lasts season full-time season ending indycar and passionate on the five hundred last year. So it's almost like no matter what you pick you feel wrong picking it but I I do agree with Matt. I think it's going to be passionate. Oh I think willpower has just been so consistent especially the last six seven years in Term Engineering Division in the championship of all. I don't know how you can replace. Power is only thirty five thirty six or seven somewhere around there. I think he's got a lot of life. Left in in him in a lot of consistency left him. I'M NOT GONNA play by my own rules on this question. I'M GONNA say they're gonNA just add another car. I don't in Las Hachinohe has a very bad year this year if he has a very bad year. Okay I see him being the I. Guess the link there but I think that if he does well and has a good year than Then I'M GONNA say.

"Just want to wish. It was really good to see I the I guess the only disappointment I have honestly is in the weather so they didn't get more time because that would win would have been nice to see But Yeah I'm academy just made me that much more prompt for this season for me and my big surprise was Alex Paolo p. Nine with the you know what? I've been predicting decimated coin team. Ask You seven Outta Award. Tens you know not just a rookie was seven but or guys in the top ten and I think at some point in testing there were even higher than that for a while. I think that car. That's the stunning Slash medicine slash beautiful slash terrifying slash elegant. Ashir and NAPA has the other nine I forget what what which which is which the pink and Grey Combo looked really really slick. And lastly just had had oh doing well so I think just automatically wins because otherwise none of our picks are really good in this one. She had ed carpenter struggling so far off. There I adjust winced just Bar Wins this round. Who's just detest Debt matter I still want Esquerre to test for us to.
