"To the show reminds me this is another incredible thing about Robert Canyon, eh? I don't for the Green Bay Packers. He finished the regular season. Get this. Zero drops. How often to receivers do that? That can't be common. That is absolute credible, and it shows you the talent of this guy. Who's the guy who plays for the 40 Niners, Georges that Kittle. They're really talented, tight end of George, kiddo, and they train in the off season together, and they're like buds now, and I have to believe that some of his talent Was was passed on to Robert. Tell me because I mean, he's playing it at it an all pro level Let's be honest. He had a lot of touchdown catches and you think about the arsenal. That's at hand for Aaron Rodgers tomorrow. Avanti, Adam's MBS. Else. We got Tony in, Of course. Ellen Lazar, Alma's ARD. Other receivers can think of that. My head practice squad members, Sharon Jones out of the backfield, Williams out of the backfield, Dylan out of the backfield. I mean, it's incredible. Now. Weather looks okay, so that's probably not gonna be a factor. I wouldn't think I mean, I know this. Our team is used to playing. And thirties. Los Angeles is not used to 30 degree weather. Yeah, and that Although they're gonna they're gonna make a big point about saying Well, it's not that bad. It's still not colder than Los Angeles and that shock that Dave Robinson talked about 11 earlier that shocking off when you get into Lambeau Field where history has been made. Hello Vince Lombardi, Bart Starr, Ray Nitschke, e Reggie White, Brett Farve. I could go on and on because we're down, Hudson. I mean, That's where legends were made and that field although it's been re sodded and replaced many, many times, it's still at the iconic place where Championship football is played on my much of a homer today. I'm on the factors. Do you think I'm selling it? But it's worth it. We wait to this part of the point of the football season to get to the playoffs were in the playoffs. We have the best quarterback in football. I don't care about Ju breeze. I don't care about time. Brady there certainly talented but Aaron Rodgers Skills that he brings to that position. Undeniably the most talented quarterback. In NFL history. I could make the case. All right, lots more to get through. Great conversation coming up. We talked a lot about Kovar this year you're going to hear from Gary D'Amato fantastic writer. Golf writer. I should say on brilliant writer anyway, about his experiences dealing with covert. You might have seen it. There was special to the Journal Sentinel. It was it was a PC did for Wisconsin golf. Absolutely terrifying. And the inspirational and how he got through this and for all of you out there who don't think this is real. You want to tune in and get him out of my guest Friday for him after the news, the biggest issues but biggest stories, the biggest foreign.

"I'll give you those teams to do that in an hour, So the Jets win a game. They shouldn't win. Why tanking in the NFL to be doesn't work, And this is just the latest example explained why Can anybody beat the Packers in Lambeau Field? Bigger than onboard? See? We'll get into that. We will start with the Saints rolling over the Vikings and I loved your thoughts a lot to do with involved in the show 855 to 1 to 4 to 27855 to 1 to 40 to 74 to call in and get your thoughts. Tweet us at CBS Sports Radio or going to me directly. Ryan underscore Hickey and the number three on Twitter. Said the Saints today so far in the only game on this Christmas day defeat the Vikings 52 to 33 go 11 4 on the season, currently second in the NFC Conference. So my question coming out of this game and my big thought process. I'd love to get your thoughts and I'll give you mine here in a second is what is the saint ceiling in the playoffs? How far connect truly go in the postseason? Because at least to me? Come out of this game. Now. This is the second general we've seen Drew Brees come back the ribs still bothering him still affecting his play for me the same ceiling Honestly right now win a game wild card weekend, and from there, I don't really see them going much further. I'm really not feeling too confident in New Orleans to be honest and again. I know this is may sound crazy coming after a game in which they won by almost 20 points of the Minnesota but to be honest, My big concerns. My big fear is when it comes to the saints and believe in them in the plants believe them. Then they can go to dancing title game, go to the Super Bowl, even maybe win the Super Bowl. This goes to number nine. There's a quarterback Drew Brees. Because in post seasons pass, and he's been healthy, and as we know this year, he is certainly not healthy heading into the postseason. He can't be your light upon and the NFL in 2020. This is an NFL driven league quarterback driven like I should say. Excuse me. With Kodak play being so important, so imperative to success And guess what? That scares me. If I'm a Saints fan Let's just go back a few years ago. What we'll table 2020 here for a second. This is I wanna get back to that. But I want to revisit two years ago. First back in 20 teen wife really first start getting concerned about Drew Brees in the same steam and really his ability to lead them to the Super Bowl. 2018. If you go back to the regular season June Breeze was on fire. He was playing to the best football of his career. The 1st 11 games at 2018 regular season over 205 yards per game, 2.6 touchdowns per game. The last four games going into the playoffs. Jew Breeze average just 214 yards per game 2140.75 touchdowns per game. Statue drop precipitously and that carried over into the playoffs. 20 points and eagles and that divisional round. Don't forget their one Alshon Jeffery drop acid turn into an interception away. Maybe Nick Foles winning that game in the dome. Then the following weekend. 23 point against the Rams. And as we know that game is going to be remembered by the non pass interference call, it could have allowed the Saints to central round the clock kick The field goal go to the Super Bowl. What people forget. And people don't want to bring up or maybe not want to remember is that the father? See the flag wasn't called or wasn't thrown. Randy got a chance to type going comes over Time Saints won the toss. Drew Brees got the ball in his hand in overtime with a chance to go to the Super Bowl and threw an interception. Your pick. Name of the line bonus hands. He threw interceptions. Okay, 2018, you might make a bed, read those things happen. 2019 a year later. As we know we heard just some early. This isn't miss five games and then almost seemed to be a blessing in disguise. For Ju breeze. It seemed to give him some fresh life. It seemed to give him some rejuvenation heading into the end of the season because, like I just laid out in 2018, he really ran out of gas the last four games of the season last month of the season. Well, I really did happen in 2019. That's five game breaking it earlier in the year allowed him to stay rejuvenates the healthy enough. He was still playing at a high level towards integration of the regular season. But what happened in the playoffs? Against this Minnesota Vikings team. They just destroyed today. Last year wild card weekend Drew Brees through for just 200 yards. One touchdown, one interception. He allowed Kirk cousins a man up to that point who's never played on a big game. Never, really ever gotten. It done His career, he allowed Kirk cousins in the plastic go into his house into the Superdome. And when that game So if the last two years and Drew Brees was healthy, was playing some his best football struggled in the postseason. Why am I going to believe that the Saints ceiling In 2020. With Drew Brees. Still trying to recover from fracture was we'll get to his health in her second. Just one game to go, is also I'm going to play it play better than he did the last two years. So I'm not feeling confident, knowing how a Drew Brees has played in the playoffs. In the past, but he's been healthy. That's a concern. Now speaking of his health, and I just said Health is living his effectiveness to play quarterback and to really drive this Saints offense. Now, today, again, I understand. Put up 52 points. Amukamara could not be stopped. Merry Christmas to you,.

"I know everyone talks about what receiver wide receiver wide receiver their biggest flaw is still the rushing defense. And we saw that Dalvin Cook popped him in the mouth four times right out of the gate. First time ever in NFL history First four Dries one player scores all four touchdowns, three rushing, one receiving touchdown. For Dalvin Cook. And the Packers. We're terrible up against the run and Alvin Cook on Sunday. What the Packers are going to be What you expect to probably for the 11 12 1 team got it. They'll have a shot. When they get into the postseason, though you go up against dominant rushing team. You've got to find a way to stop him. I don't know if the Packers could do that. The Bucks to may. We're a team that I absolutely love going into the year and I think we only see their their best is yet to come. Defense, Tremendous Lavonte, David Shack, Barrett J. P. P. The Dominic and Sue Devon White. Antoine Winfield junior controversial play. Made a good play last night and made some good place that Minnesota last year we picked off Penn State twice in that big Minnesota victory up against Penn State. So I looked at the NSC. If you want to be surprised about the Saints, that's fine. The Saints. I was back and forth vassal ating with them. Where I thought At one point in the summer. They were the best team in the NFC than going into the season. I questioned if Drew Brees if he doesn't get the bike and win four games To get his second Super Bowl trophy. We all know ju breeze. Is an all time great quarterback. Has basically passing touchdowns. Most passing touches NFL history. It's been Brady. It's been breathed its been Brady. It's been breathed. So I really care about that record. No, it's weird. That record has been talked about a lot. I knew it existed. I knew they were going back and forth. You saw the graphic last night on Monday night Football have breaking news to breeze. He has more touchdown passes than Tom Brady. And then the next week. Oh, it's Tom Brady that has more than Ju breeze. It's a storyline. Let's see where these guys are, though at the end of their career, we both know they're goingto Canton, Ohio, first ballot. Don't even have to think about it. If anyone doesn't think those two are first ballot Hall of Famer is get your head examined. But let's see who has the most passing touchdowns at the end of their career. And I'm gonna guess it's going to be Brady because I think this is Ju breezes final season. I think he's done after this going to go to NBC. Gonna hang out with Mike to Rico. Cris Collinsworth, Mike Bills Michele Tafoya. And Tom Brady's going probably play. Another year or two a football. Now what happens if Brady wins the Super Bowl? Would you walk away? When you say seven's enough? Seven? I'm done or he's going to say. My favorite ring is the next one. I want to play until I'm 45. So in the NFC I'm not surprised by the Bucks. The Saints towards the start of the season. I started to sour on them. So they're five and too, but they don't look like a crisp five and two The Packers air where you probably thought they would be at five and two. Seahawks at six and won their my Super Bowl picked before the year. They gotta fix that defense so that defense is abysmal. Don't be great, just to be good. You gotta be able to make a timely stop like Kansas City was able to do last year. And let's not even mention the NFC East. Or let me correct that the NFC least. Is that division is God awful. It's terrible. The one in seven giants are still in the race..

"Is the number to jump on in. That's 855 to 1 to 42 27. You could always send me your thoughts and give me a follow on the good old cess pool of Twitter at Zach Gill that Z a C H g E L B on our network's account. At CBS Sports Radio Khanna Green alongside the other way, and we got a jam packed show for you. Not one, Not two, but three. Awesome guest for you before we do. Say goodbye at 10 P.m. eastern 7 P.m. Pacific coming up at the top of the hour. Another big Sunday night football game this week as we inch closer to week, three get started tomorrow night. When you got the Dolphins and the Jaguars and coming up on Sunday, you got a little showdown with the Green Bay Packers going to the Superdome. No fans in New Orleans. You will get to see Ju breeze and the saints So little Rogers and breeze as the Packers or to know red hot to start off the season and the Saints one Good week against the Bucks and then a miserable performance on Monday night football up against the Las Vegas Raiders. So Michelle Typhoid is a great job. Sideline reporters Sunday night football on NBC. Something about a bomb bomb. But, um, she'll join us coming up at the top of the hour that at 8 P.m. Eastern five, Pacific, we have to talk about the passing of a legend and Gale Sayers, who unfortunately did pass away today at the age of 77 after a battle with dementia, And if you've listened to this show before You know how close you know, and the way that I feel about the mention just because of my grandfather and to see the absolute hell that he had to go through for nearly 10 years, so we will talk about the passing of Gale Sayers coming up later on. In the show and will do so. If one of the best talk show host in Chicago. David Haugh is going to stop by. Not only will we talk about the legend that did pass away, we will also get into the Bears, who are surprisingly to a no. Well, see if bears fans or have a little bit more confidence now, Mr Biscuit and also tap into a little bit about the basketball team. The Chicago Bulls. They're trying to get back to being relevant. They hired Billy Donovan yesterday. Right when our show yesterday did commence and then coming up at 9 20. PM Eastern 6 20 PM Pacific Bucks fans. We've got a treat for you Not that drunk. Not my Kevin's. It's not Tom Brady jumpers, Arians. I'm gonna have. Antoine Winfield, Junior rookie safety for the Bucks had a big game on Sunday against Carolina Had the strip sacked that a nice job heading Teddy Bridgewater getting that ball loose, which the Bucks did recover. And also had 11 tackles in the game, so we'll tap into a little bit about what's going on with Tampa Bay at one of one. I'm very optimistic, and I think the Bucks are gonna have a monster monster season and they get the banged up Denver Broncos coming up on Sunday in Denver so whole lot to do And as always, we're coming to you live from the rocket mortgage by quick alone Studios. Want to see your loan options. Just payments of closing costs online in real time rocket can I want to start off with the quarterbacks in the National Football League? Because if you look at The top four quarterbacks in the league right now, I would say in no order. Aaron Rodgers is a top four quarterback. And I don't think everyone was saying that before the season, some people were basically tapping out on Roger's because of the organization, not getting legit Number two wide receiver even though Mark was about this scant, Ling and You have seen our Lazard play well through the first two games at Rogers does trust Mark was about the scaling and also almonds are going backto last year. Davante Adams got banged up this past week did not practice today is expected to play coming up on Sunday against the Saints and Aaron Jones. This guy's so confident and he's so damn good. I remember talking Aaron Jones at the Super Bowl. It was super ball 53 so two Super Bowls ago. And he guaranteed me last year are in the Super Bowl 53 year that his team the following year was going to be in Miami the next year and be gone in the Super Bowl, and they almost got there. They almost got that They lost the NFC championship game where they got their doors blown off by San Francisco last year. So you have a Packers team that I'm not fully bought in them on them yet. I saw some concerns with the defense when you go up against some better offenses and and you get to see some of the better rushing attacks in the league. Those are things that That could stand out Now You did a nice job up against the Vikings and weak one and Rogers was a stud and we to you fell behind early to the lines. Then you blew them out. So I want. I'm really curious. What's gonna happen on Sunday night? Cause you get a Packers team. That is hot out of the gate and the Saints team where I think there are some concerns because it off Michael Thomas right now. I don't believe Ju breeze is all time. Great anymore, even though he's an all time great quarterback. I think some of the hate this week for the saint is a little too strong and don't get me wrong. I got into it. Yesterday. We've questioned that this team could go and win 34 playoff games and win and win a Super Bowl and after 1/4 if they don't get the buy this year because remember seven teams will make the playoffs on Lee won by so the BIS as important as ever. Um and I looked at the Saints team and I look at the NFC. The questions in the NFC He's going into the year I thought four teams have a chance with Super on the NFC Saints Bucks. And then the two teams in the NFC West with the 40 Niners. The sea Oxy Oxy great. Bucks one and one. I think that team's going to really get Ana grooving and get on a run and find their groove Saints some people jumping off the bandwagon after the Lacklustre performance against the Raiders, and you take a glance at the 40 Niners. They got a lot of injuries. Both are now done for the year. Remo start now hurt..

"If you don't like it, you could send me out to the highway. Remember the rumors that you would hear about Roger's the McCarthy towards the end that Roger's wouldn't respect the play calling a McCarthy And then there were some reports that Rogers was going audibles at the line of scrimmage and was not Like in the play calling and elected to do what he wanted to Dio. Will there be some tension this year between Rogers and before that somethingto watch the other two storylines that stand out to me, Nancy. It's really Is this the last dance for Ju breeze? I do believe as long as the season doesn't get cut short because of covert that This is going to be the final year for Ju breeze, and then we'll see if it's Jamis Winston or Taysom Hill. For the Saints moving forward, Or maybe they elect to go elsewhere to address their quarterback of the future For Ju breeze, the last three years have been close. You've come knocking on the door. You had the Minneapolis miracle not go your way. He then had the NFC title game where there should have been pass interference didn't go your way. And last year you led Minnesota. Come into your house and kick you guys out of the postseason. You did not play well, You did not play while you fumble the football and throw an interception that game and you're a bad turn over after a big play by Taysom Hill. So can Drew Brees get the job done this year and win a second ring. The other storyline, the enemy that stands out to me, and I'm not trying to put down the Seahawks and the 40 Niners because I think both those teams will be really good. And it wouldn't surprise being Seattle or San Francisco is in the soup bowl when we saw San Francisco last year, and we know how much better Seattle got this offseason, bringing in Jamal Adams when I look at the other big, juicy storyline, the NSC Get our it is the Dallas Cowboys and you look at Dallas are gonna win the division this year. And another defense is in their strength. But there's no excuses this year for Dallas. You know Jason Garrett there anymore Now you have Mike McCarthy. Get three really good wide receivers. And gallop. Teacher. And see the lamb. You got a top five running back to the league and a sick Elliot. I know you don't have Travis forensics back, but you still have a very good offensive line. Led by Martin and led by Smith. You still have an abundance of town? And your quarterback Dak Prescott. I know they didn't get a contract done. He's still making what 31. 32 million this year on the franchise tag. They're no excuses this year with the offense that you have. And the way that this offense should be a high octane type of offense, and you put up a lot of points. There's no excuses this year for downs. Just events be okay. And you should win that division because I think you're a better team than Philadelphia. Only give the better quarterback But I do think you are the better team, so no excuses for Jerry Jones this year. If the Cowboys don't want I don't want to hear about Maybe let's Chris Christie in the stadium. Don't want to hear about Chris Christie and Jerry Jones was going to be good for social distancing, jumping up and down. I don't want to see those shots of them not jumping up and down and then frowning. All right? I want to be bad if they're frowning. That's a P okay with that, But if they let Jerry Jones of the stadium they and Chris Christie comes along, and you show shots of the two of them together in that press box. The shot's better be happy there better not be upsetting because if that's the case, I don't want to hear about any excuses from Christie or from Jerry Jones. And you see that Dallas team they should win the division this year. It's time to start stepping up and playing consistent football. Because last year my Oh, my You walked into Philadelphia and you got embarrassed up against a Philadelphia team that was decimated with injuries. Does the storylines in the NFC in the answer? It's what will the pads be without Brady? That's number one storyline. Especially when you're bringing Cam Newton. You could argue That's not the number one story line if let's say Jared Systems, the quarterback, But it's gonna be camp. The other big story lines and FC will the chief's repeat. That's a mega one. Ravens Does Lamar Jackson and Harbaugh together as a duo take that next step. We saw a good end to the regular season two years ago. Bad play off game against the Chargers this past year Great regular season. Tremendous. They got embarrassed up against Tennessee. Do the Ravens take that next step, and only when a playoff game But multiple playoff games. And the man through and through to get to the Super Bowl with the buy. Only being one seed this year. But can the Ravens take that next step and you'll get two other teams in the NFC North Steelers with Big Ben coming back? Very good defense. You know the names on there? Make a Fitzpatrick Cam Heyward. Devin Bush. T. J. What? Will then be able to stay healthy and well, that team be able to get back to the postseason. I think so. And then the other one Is this the year the Cleveland Browns get back to the postseason last year disaster this year with seven teams making the postseason the and see, It's not all we hope to make the postseason. No, you have to make the postseason because if you don't make the post season this year if you're Cleveland It's more embarrassing. It's more pathetic. Then what it was a year ago. A lot of Hall of Fame talk with the N F l I got a few names for your next that you may not think all of Famers but will be one day..

"Thank you for throwing I'm so happy. Go Go get get the the ball. ball We've got. got. I mean, you know, sometimes Sean Payton is a is a really good coach great coach. But they get arrogant because they think that, you know, we we go show them we go show them. How smart we are another play that that they should have been ready for was the fake put that we read. I mean, we've been the pay punt on our like thirty five yard line. When I'm like, I was afraid I'm like, they wouldn't ready for that. They know we do it. We did it last time and that cost us the football game. So for sure I really believe that was one of the worst calls by throwing the football to Michael Thompson, Nike Thomas and not run the ball. That would to me seal that game. Like, you guys just said this is going to sting with Sean Payton for a long time. I mean, we thought last year's in then was bad. I mean. With the Vikings. And being that position as a coach super pair as a team you prepare for those type of situations and. If you didn't learn from what happened with Seattle in the Super Bowl a couple years ago, and we'll have a land in a couple of years ago being in the red zone. Not running the football not playing the clock. Not planning percentages. This will continue to happen. But this is as much respect as I have Sean Payton as a coach, I think he's very Intelligence Review. That was a bad decision to throw that ball on first down. And once it happened. The only thing I can say to myself as I hope this don't backfire any did. Now, you you have a controversial call it. It's leaning on and it's a relevant is relevant. It doesn't matter in that moment you make that decision to run the football milk bad clock. And then give the Rams opportunity go down to school with with the least amount of time possible. Love your point. It's like a smokescreen. Hey, don't look over here at what I did. Don't look over here at the fact drew Brees just played a poor game did early in the game. We had a chance to take control of this red of the settling for field goals. But our offense was inefficient. And then our quarterback at crunch time was accurate to Michael Thomas, and he was inaccurate on third down the trust me what contributed to that. Non call was the inaccuracy of the as if the pass is more on target there. I pass. No, I'm talking. The second the second. To the non call of the passing of France was the inaccuracy of the past. So all of this ranting and raving about the non call to me is trying to draw attention away from the fact that drew Brees and Sean Payton came up short love them both rate. Great hall of famous, but they came up short here. Yeah. Gut wrenching the type losses New Orleans last year with keenum. Yeah. And then you talk God Seattle in in the Super Bowl. You could talk about defor damn if you. Hey, it's me like gut, Richard. But the commonality income denominator of all those is football cliche. But every time we went out there. Even in your greatest games, you remember you going team beaten, and you sit you'll chest all up in your face you. So like you read into the field. And no matter who you are what you did. There are mistakes that have been made and in that all twenty two when we watching the film without the without the sound coaches saying do this dude is better that that's a mess up that could have cost us. And I think right now, we saw some glaring examples of what most football games, look like that's a bad play right there. But they still could have won that game. We saw the patriots do it. And it was in total control of the game from the from the beginning this the Rams they hung in there they fought. And that's what four quarters football is all about. But I still wish that ju- breeze would sit liberty took it upon yourself to change that player. She. She had opportunity. It was so many things that could transpire it in that moment. And it's the reason the Rams are going to the Super Bowl team. Hang around. Yeah. Let them, hey. Because they let us hanging around..

"The third time, then you can feel guess what they have almost less than a minute. Let's three with having to drive sixty yards. So, you know, homes did right evening. So it's not pies. Exactly. He had one time out. But but also if you catch them all out blitz which they were in and you throw a ball and you score a. Touchdown right. I. Disagree. I don't want to touch on the minute forty. But. But. A risk into some real risks. When you're on the field players, always say men, we want the coach to be aggressive want the coach to be aggressive when you see the type of numbers, and it lets you know, the ju- breeze can throw me a five yard stop. And I could potentially in this game. I want that opportunity. I don't wanna take the chance to give them the ball. And a field goals going time in that's not that difficult to do in NFL. Well, going back to the refs. So we asked them we asked them to do so many things and one of the things that instant replay has done to the reps. It's taken away the part of the part of the whole situation that they're in is, hey, you know, what swallow your whistle Wrigley decide. Right. And so guys get less. They're less drama demonstrative than they used to be there less in charge than they used to be. I mean, they're like oh something's not a fumble. And they know the quarterback's arms going for like at let's not with solit- dead getting obvious things wrong. And the other thing that this would do is refs. Set the tone. Obviously, this is not a good example of it. Because this was a terrible miscall but ref set the tone early we call it tighter. We call him loose. We're going to call it by the letter. We're gonna let you play a little bit, right? And if you then all of a sudden can challenge one play game to your point Jenna, how long would it delay it, even if it doesn't make the game longer one of the worst things about in my opinion. The catch ruled away used to be was Amy big catch if your team made it you are you're sitting on pins and needles while they're showing these replays you like, oh, God don't let them show ball moved. Don't let them show this little bit. Because you wanted to get to the next play. If you could challenge non calls any big touchdown your team scores. You're just terrified. Don't let them throw a challenge flag because there was holding on the guard Dolan, bro. Challenge flag because there might have been a pig player yard pass where it can be. And you can't it one of the nice things about baseball is home runs a home run. Like, there's no there's clarity on. We know when a guy hits a home run. It's not getting challenged. It's not coming back. And so that's where I. Agree with you entirely. It's made the referees less certain of what they're seeing what there is. Because they have the crutch of the replay Mark stick around. We're we're gonna we're gonna talk more football on the other side coming up who's the discord between Brady and Bella check overstated. That's next on first things verse. Back here. We're going viral Antonio Brown spent championship Sunday shirtless working on his craft catching passes. No. He's wearing a shirt shirt shirt. Kyle of not worrying shirt, and that's thrown the ball from Heisman winner Cuyler Murray. AB also tweeted appreciation for Steeler nation saying this is not a good by just a thank you see this. You took note of this during the games talk about whatever criticisms people I've Antonio Brown. How hard he's gonna work is not one of them. You know, what's up? See I mean. No, that's not one of the question marks know, how hard he wants to work. But as you can see there's only a quarterback a db and a whole bunch of teammates in every that's one of the questions. Talk me. Yeah. That's. I mean, he put the video out there. Look at me maybe show of Cuyler pinpoint accuracy trying to help his stat drafts. Shouldn't take a pitcher humane? Cutler standing next to each other. It's been like, wow. They look like to receive by about the same height..

"What is the entertainment industry. So I with respect I wish we could remove all replay. We're not gonna do that expanding it to non called penalties is so dangerous to what it would do on any big play of the game. Even if coaches still had three challenges poorer, and that's one of your three challenges. And if you get it wrong, you get around me that doesn't take away from the time of the game. We can't forget the entertainment value the NFL right now, they have it. Right. And they've been working on the last several years to get it within that three hours three hour and ten minute time. And it's going to take if you give them more talented, it's going to take more time. So any I don't believe it can work now. I'm just going to tell you based on being on a couple committees. That change the rule with the catch. No catch and I did want to change it. Then they changed it like, I see another committee coming in my future, and I'm open. I'm not totally against I just having seen the right way to build instituted into games where it's not going to stop the flow of the game. And one thing we need to do to we need to consider this before we change anymore. Rules, how much more difficult we're gonna make it for the defensive players. Thinking about that. No. Of course, not right now. It's already impossible to play defense. We got the numbers going the numbers tell you that as far as points. We saw that September October, man. The only thing that helped us out the weather was the weather a little bit. So how many more rules are we going to change that we make this game more lopsided than what it is. I will tell you hanging in your hundred percent right on that. The thing is how many more rules are we gonna change to make it more difficult on the refs like their job is incredibly difficult. And this is one of the reasons I was always now I'm not a replay fan. I was always one of those guys. It's on the on the fringe, Saint scrapped the whole thing. Because you can't get right. Anyhow so scrap it, and let's just let human error because I look at the saints situations that you run the ball twice there. You make them eat up their timeouts, then you run it. The third time then you can feel what they have almost less than a minute. Let's three with having to drive sixty yards. So, you know, homes did. Right evening. So like, it's not pies. Exactly. He had one time out. But but also if you catch them all out blitz which they were in and you throw the ball. And you score a touchdown. Right. I is it is. When I disagree. I don't want to touch on the minute forty. But. But. Risk into some real risk. When you're on the field players always say men, we want the coach to be aggressive. We want the coach to be aggressive when you see the type of numbers and it lets you know, the ju- breeze can throw me a five yard stop. And I could potentially in this game. I want that opportunity. I don't wanna take the chance to give them the ball and field goals going to time in that's not that difficult to do in NFL. Well, going back to the ref. So we asked them we asked them to do so many things and one of the things that instant replay has done to the reps. It's taken away the part of the part of the whole situation that they're in is, hey, you know, what swallow your whistle rim decide. Right. And so guys get less. They're less dramatic demonstrative than they used to be there less in charge than they used to be. I mean, they're like something's not a fumble. And if you then all of a sudden can challenge one play game to your point Jenna, how long would it delay it, even if it doesn't make the game longer one of the worst things about in my opinion..

"I kinda minimize the blame game going before. Because that's just a part of playing football. Well, we don't blame the football team. But Jason agree that when he made that call throw that ball to Mike I jumped up, thank you. Thank you for throwing it, I'm so happy tomorrow. We've got time. I mean, you know, sometimes Sean Payton is a is a really good coach great coach. But they get arrogant because they think that, you know, we we go show them we go show them. How smart we are another play that that they should have been ready for was the fake put that we ran. I mean, we've been pay punt on our like thirty five yard line. We I'm like, I was afraid I make they wouldn't ready for that. They know we do it. We did it last time and that costs us the football game. So for sure I really believe that was one of the worst calls by throwing the football to Michael Thompson, Nike Thomas and not run the ball. That would to me seal that game from like, you guys just say this is gonna sting with Sean Payton for a long time. I mean, we thought last year's Indian was bad. I mean with with the Viking and to being that position as a coach super pair as as a team you prepare for those type of situations. And if you didn't learn from what happened with Seattle in the Super Bowl a couple of years. And we'll have with the land in a couple of years ago being in the red zone. Not running the football not playing clock not planet percentages. This will continue to happen. But this is as much respect as I have Sean Payton as a coach, I think he's very intelligence reboot. That was a bad decision to throw that ball on first down. And once it happened. The only thing I can say to myself. I hope this don't backfire any did. Now, you you have a controversial call that you leaning on. And it's a relevant is relevant. It doesn't matter in that moment, you make that decision to run the football milk that clock. And then give the Rams opportunity go down to school with with the least amount of time possible. Love your point. It's like a smokescreen. Hey, don't look over here at what idea don't look over here at the fact drew Brees just played a poor game did early in the game. We had a chance to take control of this red of the settling for field goals. But our offense was inefficient. And then our quarterback at crunch time was in accurate to Michael Thomas, and he was in accurate on third down the trust me what contributed to that. Non call was the inaccuracy of as if the pass is more on target their voice, I passed. Now. I'm talking. The second the second second. To the non call of the passing of France was the inaccuracy of the past so all of this ranting and raving about the non call to me is trying to draw attention away from the fact that drew Brees and Sean Payton came up short loves them both rate and great hall of famers. But they came up short here. Yeah. Gut wrenching the type losses New Orleans last year with keenum. Yeah. And then you talk God Seattle in in the Super Bowl. You could talk about de four damn if you bro. Hey, it's me like gut rich. And but the commonality income denominator of all those is that's football. That's. Shane. But every time we went out there. Even your greatest games you. Remember, you're going to team meeting, and you sit here you'll chest all up in your face you. So like would read into the failed. And no matter who you are what you did. There are mistakes been made and in that all twenty two when we watching the film without the without the sound coaches saying do this dude Dudas better. Yeah. That that's a mess up that could have cost us. And I think right now, we saw some glaring examples of what most football games, look like that's a bad play right there. But they still could have won that game. We saw the patriots do it. And it was in total control of the game from the from the beginning this the Rams the hung in there foot. And that's four quarters of football is all about what I still wish that ju- breeze would sit liberty took it upon yourself to change that player she had opportunity..

"A great day when twenty thirty eight three hundred one yards two touchdowns a pick in the win last night. Knit. Put a great on ju breeze game. You got give them a didn't panic. I play the game goes about his poorly as one can he throws interceptor on the very first play before he really has a chance to get into the game. They're down fourteen nothing didn't panic. I thought played really well throughout and his team won. So I started off with that pick the reason why wouldn't worried about the pick was because he had teddy again open touchdown underthrown. Couldn't get enough on the throw bounces team back him. Sean Payton undefeated, they're playing at home in the playoffs at six A. Plus, whatever the professor here Nick wants to. I gotta take a break coming up. What went wrong for the Cowboys in Los Angeles. That's next. This is first thing. Onto the colts. Finish the season with the better record better offense better quarterback. They tend to trip up in these kind of games, but Patrick Mahomes, anti tripping. Not rattled started strong, finish strong beating Andrew lock in the colts. Thirty one thirteen Mahomes threw for two hundred seventy eight yards Ren in for a score. So Kansas City advancing to its first aid C championship game in twenty five years. Here is Patrick Mahomes after the game the defense stepped up big played great all game long. All started fast, dry spell. But we finished it off in the end, certainly not the start we wanted and not the middle. We wanted not the finish we wanted. So. A little bit of a tough toll to swallow. But but no shame from the guys in that locker room. You know heads heads up high. We're such a different team. We have such young players that we have so much confidence going in. We're going to win every single game. We wanna play at this stadium. We wanna win at aero head stadium. And so we get the opportunity player again next week with that same mentality of ruin go out there and try to win this game. Play at a time. He's exciting. He's exciting to listen to his his energy is exciting. And it's really just fun to be a part of watching him develop into the quarterback. We all know, he's probably going to be Nick in your opinion. What was the most impressive part of the chiefs win Patrick Mahomes, his poise in the fact that the moment clearly was not too big for him that he made. No, major mistakes is worse throw with the day was the one that Sammy Watkins save for that could have been a pick and Sammy Watkins turn it into a reception and the drive right after the blocked punt when he was seventeen seven near halftime, and it could have gone either way in the us the clock. They forced the colts us all their timeouts. I'm homes through the air with its legs accounts for seventy three seventy five yards on the most important tribe of the game. All that was very good. But the most impressive part to me was this defense continuing to make place the colts nine third down attempts zero conversions after the Sammy Watkins fumble another moment the game could have flipped in the colts favor. Deformed comes around the edge takes the ball away from Andrew luck. This defense shutting down the colts offense for the entirety of this football game that has to be what was most impressive defense that's been better at home than on the road. But still by no means one of the close to one of the best defense in football had his good of a defensive performance this week in anybody. I'll give Patty Mahomes credit for playing in the playoff games in being under control. But if the stat line twenty seven for forty one to seventy eight got sack four times quarterback rating of eighty five. Have you tell me that before the game? I tell you the chiefs blues. Those numbers right there for the chiefs defense they play with for sixteen games. Oh, they lose to gain..

"What's it out to the hotline right now? Welcome in a former saints running back and now they're radio color analyst, and that's deuce McAllister. Who's kind enough to join us right now on CBS sports radio. Great to talk to you. Appreciate the time. And how are you? I'm doing. Well, how are you doing? I'm doing fantastic immer getting excited for a great weekend. Football to see who goes to the Super Bowl. I'll let me just take you back to last weekend though, to start things off saints at they're building very tough. You know, you need to play him for sixty minutes. But I was kinda surprised they were dug themselves into a fourteen zero hall. Just what did you see early on from the saints last weekend had them struggling a little bit? Oh, I think I would agree when you talk about digging themselves on a hole in just really starting to slow that was one thing that they didn't necessarily wanna do. They were able to overcome it. You know, what we call it Russ? Whatever term that we use. It's something that they're going to have to make sure they're not doing this week as far as when they play the Rams just because you are planning explosives team. I think eagles, you know, they wanted to have them with article drive. They weren't able to hit some explosive plays on the saints with that was not who they were as an offense. I think it's totally different. When you talk about this Rams team. And we all know every play matters in a playoff game. It's just crazy when you look back at it. Nick foles was driving that team down the field. And it wasn't even a bad pass. Just went right through the hands of alshon that balls caught. Maybe we're not even talking about the saints in this one. But that's the beauty of the sport. I think you've obviously changed the dynamic of the game. I mean, I would still probably right around a minute and fifty something seconds left on the clock. So maybe it's a drew Brees drive winning field goal. That wins for the saints instead of an interception and then being able to get the first down there to ice. Mcallister here with us on CBS sports radio. What do you make a chimeras play as of late? Feel about any player. I mean, you'd have to understand and know where he's at on the field at all times. I think that the eagles had a really good plan. They played mostly Dom in a little nickel combat him. So that was Malcolm Jenkins that was basically on him. But Alvin you have to know where he's at at all times. And we all know the names that are on the saints. Drew Brees Kamara Thomas Ingram. It's very tough to obviously defend and there's a reason why their offense is always right at the top of the league offensive, line wise. Where's the health to this unit? How do you think they played last week? And what do you expect that? And then this upcoming weekend up against a tough front led by suing Donald. Well, it was it was good to get back. I'm Elise left tackle where he's missed. A lot of times. I think six games there with a pictorial injury. So he was able to come back and get pretty good. And even even he'll tell you. He was a little rusty did give up your treasure as well as the sack on breeze. But you know, the one player. You have to be concerned with the most he's battling a hand injury. When you talk about going up against Donald that's nothing that you wanna have. So he would be the person that I would watch the most when you're watching this game just because he did have to get big give up a couple of pressures as well. And so you know, he's dealing with a hand injury. But going against probably the best defender in the league, and being Aaron Donald it's gonna be something that you have to watch Donald just absolutely ridiculous, man. I it's really something what he's doing this year. He he's a combination of a lot of different players and all master into one. He's just been dominant. And we all know last time these two teams matched up. Michael Thomas was often running like usually does for over two hundred yards. How do the Rams try to slow him down this time, and you can't stop them? But how do you try to limit his production a little bit? They will have to leave back Marcus Peters matched up with him. A little they do like to play zone though. So I'll I'll be interested to see how Wade kind of changes it up. You know, does he go more man to man coverage? Does he stick with what they do best and look up front get pressure or do they bring even pressure a little bit? So I'll be interested to see how they try to challenge. The saints offense in general. But obviously, Michael Thomas, I think it'll be to leave and Michael Thomas and going to be a heavyweight fight there. When you talk about those two players, and you also want to look at the emotions in a game. Like this a lot of trash talk between Marcus Peters. You know, you have the whole Gumbo stuff. Sean Payton's never afraid to. Maybe. Rub. It back in your face on the field coming up on Sunday. You wonder the motions of this one because we all know what's on the line here. It's a trip to the Super Bowl. So you wanna be prideful? You wanna play with some passion. But you can't hurt your team. You definitely can't hurt you team until you know. And I know that something the shawl will kind of hop on tears guys. Don't get baited don't get caught into a situation where you're getting a fifteen yard pill. Even he you know, he's gonna compete. He's going to go out there and he wants to win. And he's a former player you'll go back and forth, but he'll be locked in calling the right place as well. Yeah. It wouldn't surprise me. If he runs a few plays at Peter's wife wanted shock paid. I wouldn't I wouldn't be surprised at all. I mean, but drew drew is always going to take what they give them. But you know, if the opportunity is there, I wouldn't be surprised as well. It's really fascinating with some of the players that drew Brees is playing with this year. We touched on the big ones. But you see some of these other receivers you have to kind of look up who they are sometimes really the chemistry that he has. And I know these struggled a little bit down the stretch for the chemistry has with some of these wide receivers, very impressive and shouldn't shock anyone. That knows drew Brees more. It's been that way with him his whole career. He likes us at the ball around. And. A lot of times. It's not to you know, guys at a first rounder, you know, tip junior him being back as made such a huge difference for that offense as well because of his Vergara vertical ability, but you've got other guys. Awesome car kief, Kurt would you know, Tariq once guys that people maybe not know about as far as being young players, but they've been players for the saints. I'm able to step up talking to discipline Callister right now on CBS sports radio. Let's flip gears and look at the saints defense. A very underrated unit for the numbers that they do produce on the season very good up against the run. But the loss of Sheldon rank ins is going to be one that everyone's gonna have the Big Eye on the confidence of this group without rankings. They've always use a four man rotation in the defensive tackles. And so they were stalwarts Tyler Davidson, you figured there. Snaps will go they did find Tara Walker. He's had time spent tiles will just All Saints team played with him a couple of years even with the Rams team as well. Because coach Bill Johnson was with D line coach over in Los Angeles. So he's been signed to beat at fourth. John. Those guys are gonna have to step up. It'll be more plays for him. And and trust me. I think it's a loss. What would losing Sheldon? He had posted his best numbers as far as Saxo concern this year. But you know, those guys are going to have to step up and be able to slow down that run game and sounded easy matchup. 'cause that Rams offensive line was rolling through the Cowboys defense, which has been pretty good for most part of the year. And we all know a girl he's capable of in the Anderson man, this has been some story guy looked like his career was over. And then he puts together free one hundred yard games on. On. Well, you know, you go back to Denver days. You know, just couldn't make it fit in with the raiders and could make it fit with Carolina. And he's found the perfect home for and really I if I'm the saints. Here's the game plan. You gotta try to stop that Ron and you wanna put the ball in Goffs hand. And they're the youngster to beat you wouldn't you see Jared Goff play. Where's your level of concern? Would maybe have the saints try to defend them. If it comes down to Gotha having to go in this game for the Rams. Well, I'll I'll get getting t-. That's what they're going to try to do, and you know, just trying to flush their him and get him uncomfortable. You know, maybe try to hit him get him off of the spot. Make him uncomfortable has a passer. That's what you have to do in this game. You know, take away that run and make golfing receivers beaches. You know, they're not that they don't have Cooper Cup who's another weapons for them. I mean, so he's going to have to lean on woods, and he's gonna have to leave lean on Brandon. Mcallister here with us on CBS sports radio. We know it's always a party in New Orleans. Just give us a little bit of a feel of of the fan base right now as they get set to try to go on another Super Bowl run. Would you breathe Sean Payton you have anxious fan base? I mean, they they understand, and they know what's at stake form, and you know, they're gonna play a part in this game. It's going to be you know, with our twelve to step up. I wouldn't be surprised whatsoever. If they're not responsible for four or five in fan impact plays whether that's thirteen years to come out, or all, sides, etc. But it's gonna be rowdy in there. And we all know how much the first one meant to this fan base with all that happened. And we don't know how much that the saints have been up and down throughout the years. And you actually were able to come back in the saints gave you a pretty neat opportunity when you reflect on that just what are the memories that come to mind when you look back at that Super Bowl victory up against the colts in you've been able to be a part of it. It was about the city. It was rewarding the city from bouncing back and having faith in this organization. And I think this run here. It's really, you know as drew wind down his career. It's sending him off in the right way and in the right manner. And so I think you know, that's not necessarily a one hundred percent what they wanna do. But you know, obviously, it's on the minds of the guys and say, hey, look, you know, we don't know how long he's going to play. But at the end of the day, we want to get them another championship. That'd be big for his legacy. We all know paid it as a great coach. And we know that drew is a great quarterback. But it changes the conversation when you go from one ring to two rings if they're able to get these next two victories. I agree. One hundred percent, and what's it like to be a teammate of ju- breeze. You being able to be a part of his career. What what was that like? You want to work as hard as he does. Because that's the one thing that he does he put in the work. Routine with he goes out. He competes, you know, whether you you guys are playing marbles what Batman in the locker room, you know, he wants to win. And so he's alternate competitor. And he he prepares themselves to go out and win every week. Give me a little side story when he got frustrated once, and what are you remember about that interaction? Because like you said, he's such an intense competitor. He wants to win at everything. Tim slamming that helmet now. And you know, I read it himself..

But five eight to five ten five eleven obviously you rather be taller, but you can still play the game of football play with joke. Flutie when he won ten gains Pro Bowl and the play offs, and he perform well now, that's it. Boy, I would love for that to be my son in that position to have these two options. These these two opportunities I would tell him. Look. Here's a pros and cons in both situations. However, I would root for him to go to football because you always fall down to baseball. Tim Tibo who did play baseball high school is damn near a pro. If he wasn't injured last year. Probably would be a pro right now be a met. So the athletes system in baseball. We all know is a little less than it takes to play the game of football in your prime years in the years where they're still trying to get you and put their claws on you into football world take that opportunity if that doesn't work fall down baseball. I think that I think that playing major league baseball a lot harder than playing professional football. A lot harder to get in. And the statistics bear that out. I mean one you're playing against the world. You're not doing that here in America playing football. There's fifty three guys on our Australia's twenty five active guys on a major league baseball roster. You sign this deal in baseball. You're gonna spend the next three or four years riding around bus in the minor leagues. Then when you get in to professional baseball when you after you get to that you get to the majors you've got three years of major league service without going down. You can't be sent down the miners that the clock starts ticking. If you get sent down it's no longer ticket does back. So you've got three years to be able to get to your arbitration year. And then if you're not a superstar, you're arbitration, you're you've got one year of money that you're gonna make and then you hit free agency. So you're going to be seven years essentially out before you have a chance to sign a contract after the signing moments. You have two contracts in the NFL, maybe working on your third contract. NFL? He's gonna be a first round draft choice. And he's rated in in the bottom in the twenties. But that means you're gonna get elevated up in the teens at the very least in the National Football League. You're gonna make fifteen you're probably gonna make twenty some million dollars just to sign your name on a on a on a contract, and you're gonna get another opportunity for years from now to resign. A deal of is a four year deal with the option of the team if you play well, you're going to get an option you're going to get that option contract in four years if he's the first I'm playing football. And I've I've thought about this. I've kind of looked into this what you said he could possibly be twenty nine thirty years old before he's a free agent in baseball. If it goes if he's in a minors for two or three years, and they have arbitration system in baseball. Look your Bryce Harper. Manny machado. They can't even get a tenure do in their two best players in baseball before he's up for a second contract in baseball. He could possibly make what you said at least thirty million dollars playing. Football. If he's a good player. He doesn't have to be great. He'll sign at that time for twenty one twenty two maybe twenty three million dollars a year as a quarterback. It's an end. He's a star. He won a Heisman Trophy. He's a star in football. He goes and plays baseball bus trip in a minors. He's not a starring more. Your doll. So for me, go play football. If it doesn't hand out. All right. Sometimes you have too much talent, you know. And they had a bunch of guys when everybody got hurt last year. They had a bunch of guys that strapped it up and in the playoffs took them to game seven really covers funds. And so understand they're going. Hey, what about? What about us and Kyrie Irving who is trying desperately to be a leader wants to bleed so bad. Sure. That's what he does. They're saying. Here's what I'll say that. There's a real lack of sincerity with Cairo Irving and his public statements. There's a real lack of sincerity and players are not stupid. Is that guy that wants so desperately to be taken seriously that they over compensate him. Do we have the collar Murray story declared for the draft we well? Yes, former I mean future. Washington Redskin color will he declared for the draft. And a couple of things are interesting about doesn't mean he's going to play in the NFL. Scott Boras represents him and Scott Boris is running around. This has been reported saying to Oakland, if you give us fifteen million dollars, we will play baseball, and you would say for what fifty million well, Oakland doesn't have a lot of money. But to me if you think, and this is Billy bean and Billy Bean's team. Yeah. If you think that within three years Cuyler Murray will be up on the big league squad and be a starter and be a starter for ten. Year's Cannes fifteen million is nothing because it's one hundred million start for ten years of baseball, the minimum you're gonna get over that period of time is one hundred million dollars. So if you think that throw the money at them throw the money at him. And if they don't throw the money at him, it means they don't really necessarily think that because you the difference between the NFL and major league baseball. Is that the majorly the NFL your timeframe is shorter in most cases? But if you're a star quarterback, the money's there. You're right up. There's the minors. Right. All right. All right. Does it matter that in baseball, the money's they all the way up the money contract in baseball? You get that money. I think big time for bags get most of it time quarterback skip money. You know, thinking about Charlie would then he win the Heisman and said, I'm not gonna play football. You played basketball for pretty good ask what the Knicks a number of years and everybody even deal incentives who played both baseball Cup of baseball that go play based the guaranteed. Team. We saw early on eagles have outstanding defensive line Fletcher. Cox a Bennett Graham, all those guys Barnett they kind of had the way with the saints off its line off. It's got it together. Fifty-three our tastes to carries a freight yard as well. They ran the ball a total for one hundred thirty seven yards four point four carries. A good job there. We know the fake punt. They ran as well. Help them score touchdown on that Dr. Here is Alvin Kamara Mark Ingram wearing their masks in the locker room talking about this game with Anna. In the locker.

"Absolutely demolished them forty eight to seven that was then this is now that's how time works then. Nick foles was still on the bench and their playoff push had begun. Now, Nick foles is behind Saturn. His teammates are making him shrines. All right, Nick out of the eagles pull off the upset here. Jenna Wolfe knows how time works doesn't know how the barbershop works. So. That little joke. Eagles pull off the that was the question getting my line ready. Somehow get some type of pressure on drew Brees. And don't let Alvin Kamara ruin your day. I don't know what they're gonna do with Michael Thomas. I'm just going to be totally candid here. I'm trying. I'm trying to think about the boxes they have to check pressure on drew Brees. I think it's possible. Tron armstead's been dealing with an injury the last quarter of the season. You've got a great defensive front. I think that's doable. Dealing with them. Kamara you're going to have to dedicate a lot of your game plan Talvin, Kamara if you're going to deal with him because I'm lead. Now Jenkins out on an island on him. Like we saw in their first matchup, but I think that's possibly doable. But then there's still another factor. You're going to have to deal with. That's Michael Thomas, and that one I haven't solved, which is one of the reasons I said about ten minutes ago. I'd be very surprised if eagles can pull off this upset now that's one side of the ball. The other side of the bowl. I I'm going to pull a Chris Carter. I need six big plays from Nick foles in the passing game six I need six plays of twenty five yards. Whether. Throwing it up and hoping like we've seen some more Darren sproles busting coverage the wheel route where he hits him over the top something where you have big chunk plays that turn drive where you don't have good field position. All of a sudden like that your past the fifty because they and that by the way, going for that could let this game get away from them you go for big plays. A big plays going the other way you can have sack fumbles you can have interceptions. But I think the saints are the best team in the NFL. They are rested. There is healthy as they were going to be they have a full complement of weapons and they're at home. So for all those reasons there's a kitchen sink game for me, if I'm the eagles mean, I'm throw everything at you. Because I think the saints. They opened his at ten point favorite. They're still about an eight and a half point favorite. They are the significant favorite of the weekend. Eagles knew what they needed to do last time. They played them. They needed to stop ju- breeze. Just stop Alvin Kamara they needed to stop Michael Thomas. What weren't able to how did they attack the saints last time that maybe we they didn't watch film? But maybe they may. Adjustments. This time around the thing about the last time is they realize there are different football team. So just like after that game where they got blown out in that game. Forty eight point score against them. The coaches didn't watch the film because they didn't feel like there was much. They can learn now when they come into this game. They're totally different team. They got a different guy at quarterback. So how they going to win this game. I mean, they're not going to be a win this game with their defense. Only way they're gonna Bill do this this guy right here, they build some type of shrine to him. And Nick foles is able to start the second or third chapter in his next book in this great playoff run because there's no way they can win without Nick foles outdueling drew Brees in the dome while you because they're not going to build a run on the same. This this myth that we went through when I four or five games. All the saints won the best teams against well. The numbers and everything aren't right. Eight games. Older. One the best against run twelve games. We had to hold regular season. We got it's not something that we're just making the saints have a very very good run defense the front seven is better than we anticipated. There only struggle has been on the back end. That's why Nick foles in the Bill to Bill to make six big plays spread the ball around because they're going to have to throw the ball forty times in this game..

"The colts on the flip side. Andrew look. He is playing at an exceptional rate right now him and Patrick Mahomes. What a combo that is for divisional round match up to the better young quarterbacks and the infamy, Andrew still young consider under thirty right? Yeah. So I consider under thirty young in the NFL Patrick Mahomes under twenty five might be the most exciting quarterback in the NFL fifty touchdown passes and five thousand yards. Yep. Andrew look has the luxury of having a good defense. Pretty good defense. Although the colts. Some people say their defense a little bit overrated. Even though they had a big game against the Texans us week. The colts defense they've gotten a place in pretty below average quarterbacks this season, I'm not taking anything from them. Well, would you say, Sean, Watson's below average? No, he's not. But the colts, I guess, statistically speaking. They could say they've benefited from some favorable quarterback match ups. But obviously what they did last week seven points given up to Shawn Watson deandre Hopkins team. You gotta give him credit. That's great performance engine. Look is easily might come by player of the year. I don't think there's any question. I mean, he won't say it's Adrian Peterson. But I know. Yeah. I'm just saying, that's your ginger. Look is it could get some MVP votes. Not that he'll win. But he could get a voter to. He could be a guy that gets one percent. You know, you know, how like five or six guys usually get vote. Yeah. Yeah. Definitely. Yeah. Like Andrew might get a vote Filbert as might get. You know, like Philip rivers will be close up there behind drew Brees. I think he'll be the third behind ju- breeze in petrol homes, and then maybe look fourth. Yeah. He's up there. He's arguable. I was saying like maybe like Donald I mean without doing like a deep dive like just off the top of our head. We we'd probably say he's in the top five Fisher. So Marlin MAC and that offense van the colts have been cruising, not just Andrew luck. But Marlin maximum revelation. He man what a game he had last week. Right. Oh, yeah. It was Marlin MEC destroyed the Texans one hundred and forty eight yards speaks for itself. But I think we really gotta talk about the offense of line for the colts. I know that we've talked about they're the best in the league. But not only do they shut down what and clowney they opened up lane after lane from our own Mak who had one hundred and forty yards rushing last week eight. Yeah, that's a big number and against the number one Rushdie. Number one of the Rushdie would say top five top five. Yes, I'm not they weren't one. But they were talking, and I don't really like number by knows five, but how crazy is maybe a year from ago today. Roughly we hit the colts had the worst offense a leak a year ago. Josh mcdaniels was telling them. Yes. And the no and they had a terrible offense. When we didn't know Andrew was even gonna play football again. There's a lot of mystery in the Indianapolis they could've moved and we've been like, okay. That makes sense. I will say I have small bias for the colts. Because I know somebody who's punter and journalistic integrity is true all Vice bias. at least is the punter though, if he was a quarterback, then it'd be like over the talk, and you love your BFF or something, and I would be like, oh, I don't think it talked about this game. But he needs do you think you should shave his beard? No, he will it's bad. I don't think they should ever stop. What the captain Andrew look memes. Now their Twitter handle, captain caveman means to is like we've won the or we've lost a, but we will not lose the war. You know, have you? Remember the guy go commercials with the caveman. Yes, that I I've seen people poach ngelo head on him. I like the guy who commercial of the caveman where he's in the airport and he walks by the billboard. That says it's so easy. Caveman can do get super offended you go. Just like size. Yes. He gives that huff like oh. And then it goes away..

"Less me that's age. It's just age. It's gotta happen. Eventually they might not have to play a road game though. I mean, what if they can Andrew luck at home, you know, really rare when he steps on a field even at this age where he's not the best quarterback on the field. And it may be happening against Los Angeles Philip rivers, and it's definitely going to happen against Kansas City with Patrick Mahomes and might possibly be having with Andrew luck. Well, I'm judging Brady against himself not against others in what I see is that drew Brees year younger is as close to as good as ever than Tom Brady is that can't be disputed, right because ju- breeze. Feels like he's mastered. The positions isn't over likely MVP this year. So I mean, I don't know football so confusing. I don't know is Brady on the decline the offense, and align his football confusing. Or is is Brady like this is Brady is unprecedented. In terms of the way, he's aging. I'm not talking. About in football. I'm talking about in human life. The way that he ages is not the normal way that anyone I've just wondering. 'cause gronk spin banged up. Adamant hasn't been there all season. I just I don't know. I'm not I'm not certainly not gonna write him all, but that's part of it. He's lesser the last couple of years. He's been a lesser quarterback. Whenever gronk doesn't play. And you've seen recently every time gronk runs a button hook. He loses. Another lug nut. It's it. It just it goes across the field and hit somebody. I mean, they're explanations for everything one of them came be he's getting older, and he might not be as good, but he's still terrific. But SU I'm surprised you have owned the hot take Tom Brady's a fourth best quarterback still alive in the AFC. And that's what you do. I don't want to own that. Because I think he's still the best quarterback of the AFC. And I think he will be ten years. I take the patriots job. Now donlevatar. I love me. Mike Ryan was pointing out that the coveted cliff Kingsbury who we all like around here, we all like talking to them and everything else, but on top of being thirty five and forty Texas Tech. He didn't do a whole lot with Mahomes and Mayfield like when he had them. Like, it's not like he was running sports with them. But have you seen that face?.
