The Changing Seasons of Our Lives

"Just because you've done something for ken years or twenty years and it's been god the whole time that doesn't mean that god can't suddenly get done with it. I want you to go in a different direction. So i'm just going to tell you a story. Maybe help you understand a little bit about what you don't watch far one. It's time for a change in your life first of all. Let me say when something is changing in your life when it's obvious that there's a change maybe there's a change at your workplace and there's nothing you can do about it. You don't like it but they're changing something and it's gonna affect you. You can either sit there and be unhappy or you can go along with the change. Well i heard this one time. And i think it's very good when something is changing. The first thing you need to do is change your mind about the change. Say because if you're like. I don't like this and i'm not going to be happy with this. If it's going to change anyway then you might as well change your mind and say get used to this. It's going to be okay. you know. Things are changing in our lives all the time. I mean there's how many of you have had really good relationships at some point. Had a friend that you saw a lot for maybe ten fifteen. Twenty years ninety. Don't ever see him even people. There's certain people that are right for our lives and certain seasons and it doesn't mean it's bad when are no longer in your life is just time for a new season in. Maybe sometimes you've been helping somebody for a long long time and that's over god doesn't want you helping them anymore. Wants him to stand on their own. Two feet we had that situation with my brother. He lived with us for about four years. And we've got him all nice and healthy and he got off the drugs. He was addicted to and got his life. Straightened out working for the ministry and my brother was the of guy that he did. he did. Okay as long as somebody was kind of making them do what was right watching over him but he didn't do too good when he was on his own. Well he was a grown man and to be honest. I didn't want to take care of the rest of my life. I didn't think that was would even be good for him. And so the time came when it was time to stop helping him and that's hard to do. Sometimes and to be honest he didn't do very well. We stopped helping him. But i couldn't just keep taking care of him his whole life just so you can't give your whole life up to help somebody else. Stand on their feet. Who won't do their part. God wants us to help people but he never wants us to do so much far somebody else that they never ended up having to do anything for themselves.

God's Ways Are Higher Than A Man's

"Clothe apron yourselves all of you with humility as the garb of a servant so that it's covering cannot possibly be stripped from you with freedom from pride and arrogance toward one another. I watch this for god. Not the devil for god sets himself against the proud the insulin. They overbearing the disdainful. The presumptuous the boastful and he. God opposes frustrates and defeats them. But he gives grace to the humble so that means. If i'm trying to do something that really only god can do. He's going to oppose me. And i'm going to be frustrated because my plan's not working out but my plans never gonna work out if it's my plan i'm not god's plan proverbs sixteen nine. A man's mind plans his way but god directs his steps thankfully ever wonder why things seem to be going the opposite of how. You're trying to get them to go. It's god pulling you in the right direction. One of the reasons why we experienced so much struggle in our lives. Because we're trying to go one. Way and god's trying to go another god's plan is usually beyond are limited thinking as they fifty five eight and nine for my thoughts are not your thoughts. Neither are your ways. My ways declares the lord fires the heavens than the earth so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts higher than your thoughts now in a we. All love of asians. Three twenty for god is able to do exceedingly abundantly above and beyond all. We could ever dare to hope. Ask our think. Think no matter what you can think up. God can do something greater than that if you'll put your trust in him and be willing to wait on his plan to come to pass in your life instead of doing your own

Patience While Waiting on God

Patience While Waiting on God

"First of all. Let me tell you what patience is. And what it's not. Patience is not just waiting on god. We're all gonna wait on god. Everybody whites even nature weights flowers. Wait trees wait for the sunshine in the rain. We're we're all waiting for the provision of god but patients. Listen is how you behave while. You're waiting time to wake up how we behave while we're waiting on god to do what only god can do says so much about our character and we need to have real stable godly character. Not just a fish on our bumper. A man and a hawk. If you love. Jesus bumper sticker we. We need more than that. And we need to do. More than just go to church on sunday and thank. We've done our little bit. We need to get out in the world and behave as jesus. Would you know the bible. Says we are his representatives. That god is make listen to that they got is making his appeal to the world through us. You may be the only jesus your neighbor overseas and so it's very important that we have some of the same situations in our lives that they do but we handle them in a totally different and godly way. Your example is very important to the world so the bible tells us that we're going to have to wait and that we that we need to develop this fruit of patients and patients comes from a greek word. That says it's a fruit of the spirit that only grows under trial. So you you know. That's why i don't like to pray for patients because they know they're gonna get trouble but do know how wonderful it is. Not that i've arrived but a little taste of it. I've been at this now for forty years so hopefully imperfectly. You learn little something in forty years. And i've still got a long ways to go but god has really changed me and i have stability in my life now. At least most of the time. I can behave the same way when things are going. Good as if they're not going so good and that is so important for each of us to realize that we can't just go up and down. Our circumstances go up and down and be motionlessly. Moved by everything that's going on in our life. The bible says we walk by faith and not by sight. So that means we're not supposed to live according to how we feel and according to how things look are how they same but according to the word of god and god tells us that he could. He is to be trusted that he will take care of us. I want you to listen to me today. God will take care of you.

How Do You Know When God Is Calling You

"God speaks something to your heart as crazy as it may sound you believe it right at least you think about believing it. Sometimes it doesn't take the other side of your brain long to talk you out of it but deep down inside you can't get rid of it. A lot of people wanna know how. How do i know if god is calling me. Well i jotted down three quick little ways number one. If god's calling you to do something you're going to have passion to do it. An unreasonable passion. It may not make sense to everybody else. But you can't get rid of it from the day that god spoke to my heart. I have wanted more than anything else in the world to teach his word. When god speaks to you about something that he wants you to do. It's gonna be on your mind you're going to think about it. You're going to think about it a lot. You pray about it and the other thing and this is a big thing is when god put something on your heart. He wants you to do. You will sacrifice anything to get it in like the sacrifice moore much sacrifice. Jesus sacrificed the knee. The apostles sacrifice. Jesus said follow me and they just walked off from their jobs and their businesses and okay followed them. I quit a fulltime job. Making good money so i could stay home and study for this ministry that i thought god topics that i was gonna have. Which at that. Time was a handful of people that i was teaching in my living room for. You will sacrifice you will do things that other people don't seem to make any sense at all and half the time you'll think you're crazy yourself. People always want to know. How do i know. If it's god you know i just think really one god speaks to you. You just know you just know. Because here's the thing when god calls you to do something he gives you the faith to do

Indoor Dining Returns in New York

"Right a big day for pandemic street stricken restaurants in New York because a ban on indoor dining is being partially lifted. Hundreds of restaurants have gone out of business in the past year. Others Barely afloat. But as Tom Brooke reports the move to bring back indoor dining or being on a limited basis, it's not being welcomed by everyone. Chicken sizzles on a grill at Friedman's restaurant on New York's Upper West Side, the establishment is alive. But much of the restaurant industry in the city is moribund from Grand Eater is like the Gotham Bar and Grill, which may reopen to the more ordinary nearby Good stuff, Diner. More than 1000 restaurants have closed fallen victim to covert 19 so start indoor dining on Friday. 25% Governor Cuomo's decision this week to lift the ban on indoor dining up to 25% of capacity is seen as a bit of a lifesaver. Jonah Phillips is the owner of Friedman's restaurant group. We're excited, too. Get our guests back in the restaurant. I think something that we've lost. Is that excitement and energy that you felt when you walked to a restaurant that had guests, innit, eating and drinking and dining. It's fun without indoor dining restaurants in the city have relied on take out and delivery service to stay in business. They've also resorted to extraordinary steps to make outdoor dining and freezing temperatures feasible in some instances, creating huge bubble light structures protecting diners, AFIS it outdoors and eat. Some won't be eating indoors anytime soon, Even though Governor Cuomo has decreed they now can, among them. New Yorker Claire Wachtel, who were sipping tea is an outdoor space belonging to Friedman's on 72nd Street. I won't go into an indoor dining Until this is all over because I think you're relatively safe if you're outside, But if you're in the dining area, it's I'd be too scared to do it. Even the rescue workers are now eligible to get vaccinated and restaurants have implemented numerous safety measures. Some health experts caution that the return to indoor dining is premature. Go out to dinner. CASS is from Columbia University Medical Center opening Internet now, at least to me, while we're just first getting to the point of controlling the spread of this virus Does not seem like the right next step. While mindful off health concerns getting restaurants to flourish economically. It's what Andrew Ritchie from the New York City hospitality alliance really wants to him. That's the priority over the past year. We've lost more than 140,000 jobs in New York City's restaurant industry and indoor dining has been opened up throughout the rest of New York state at 50% indoor occupancy since June. Partial lifting of the indoor dining band is precarious. With infection rates increased. Governor Cuomo has stated it may be reimposed those still working in the hospitality business. No, it's going to be a long, hard slog before the restaurant industry in New York returns to anything like normal. Nikki Joyce is a waitress at tea and sympathy. A much loved British comfort food eatery in the city. Will it get back to where it wasp where you have people, you know, shoulder to shoulder for deeper bars. I just can't see. Unfortunately and sad, but I don't see that happening any time soon. Fervent hope is that Governor Cuomo's partial lifting of the indoor dining band this week will mark the start of the long road back. Away in New York once again boast, but it's home to one of the most lively on fairy restaurant scenes in the world. There you

Every month, The school board plans to take a deep dive into student achievement with the aim of holding the district accountable. Tonight. The questions will center on reading scores and grades. K through three. Board member Mallory Fix, Lopez says the panel will break down scores by demographic to examine performance by race and those who have special needs or are learning English. Asking questions at this level of detail is especially important to us because you want to see progress for all students, not just some other students, and not just some groups of students Board President Joyce Wilkerson acknowledges that the pandemic may effect progress. We know that Children are struggling, they find remote learning difficulties. But we at this point are not backing away from the goals we've established. Now they want law and order Now they want cops. Now. They now they want one. Go ahead. I'll see Pale. She wanted to defund the police. That matches will stand behind them and cower. You gotta be kidding me. No, it's on. It's almost comical. How bad and how the hypocrisy of it Tony on Miranda Divine. I keep quoting this column. It's so important. We have it up and mike online dot com She writes that the New York Post What a difference a week makes. All of a sudden, the House Democrats support the police. They're against mob violence. They believe in law and order. They believe in accountability. They care about civility. They believe words matter. They are against coarse language. Fancy that. They believe in a peaceful transition of power, as opposed to 2016. They believe in the electoral college, as opposed to 2016. They believe in the legitimacy of the people's vote. As opposed to 2016. Look up Nancy Pelosi's May of 2017 Tweet. This election was hijacked. That's a fact. Again. I'm sorry to be a broken record. You can't insist that the 2016 election was corrupt. And then get the vapors if somebody questions the legitimacy of the 2020 election. You simply cannot.

How Is Your Mental Health?

"Now tonight. I wanna talk to you about your mind. You cannot have an obedient life without having an obedient thought life. So i'm gonna say that again you. You're not gonna have an obedient life without first having an obedient thought. Life and i was a christian for many many many years and loved god and couldn't figure out why just kept having so many problems and i didn't understand the stuff about the mind just thought that i couldn't help what i thought. Why can't help what i think. And i didn't have any idea that i could cast down wrong thoughts or i could shut my mind against thoughts that i didn't have to receive everything that fell into my head and just take it as my own. Roll it over and over and over in my mind. I share that. My dad abused me. When i was young. And you know still after all these years sometimes just out of nowhere. I'll find myself thinking about some of the things he did to me. And you know the minute that. I become aware of what i'm thinking. I just say no. And i shut my mind to it. And don't let it in their. The enemy will sneak up on you and try to put stuff in your mind hoping that you'll take it as yours and if we think about the wrong thing that's going to affect our moods it's going to affect. Our behavior is going to affect our relationships with other people as the man thinks. So does he become proverbs. Twenty three seven and no matter how many times you may or may not have heard teaching on the mind. This is something that we need to hear over and over and over and over and over between our thoughts and our words those two messages that we will never get tired of hearing. You can choose your thoughts. You don't have to just think whatever falls in your head. I used to wake up in the morning. And i would think depressed so i would just get up and be the first all day. We'll now if thought like that comes to my head. I i will probably say out loud. I am not depressed. And i'm not going to spend this day being depressed because the joy of the lord

Healthy Living: Spirit, Soul, and Body

"Not everything happens for the same reason but we need to be open to letting god show us. That's all i'm saying today. Be the when you have a problem. The first thing you need to do is go to god. Yes and pray. Don't just ask god to take care of it. Ask him if there's anything you need to see. Maybe you're praying for god to get you out of debt and you just need to stop spending so much money. Oh never thought of that. I needed more energy. And all our gods good go walk. Well you know. I thought i was doing good but i sit ours ours ours and study. I sit hours on planes. Getting to where. I'm going to preach. And i've been working out of the gym three times a week for twelve years but the cardio exercise is a different kind. I'm just telling you move. Play some sports. Take a walk. Do something but get yourself moving so the life. The tenue can begin to flow and do something. Actually walking is one of the best things you can do. And if you think you'd like to have some time alone that's a great place to go get it an order by. Life's you know a walking partner. Well maybe you should just let your partner be jesus for awhile. Maybe you need to get out and just you know instead of getting a friend to walk with gossip amount all your other friends. Maybe you need to get out and just talk to jesus for a while. I'm having so much fun today. Now remember tonight. I'm going to talk to you about your mind. You can come back. Make a decisive dedication of your body presenting all your members faculties on the living sacrifice. Holy devoted consecrated well pleasing to god. Which is your reasonable rational. Intelligence service and spiritual worship see. Dave talks to you about the situation our country and tells you that we can't just pray. Forgot the fix it. We pray for god to fix it but to also show us what we need to do. It has become so real to me in the last five years especially that we are partners with god. We can't just sit around and ask god to do everything while we do nothing just wishing for things doesn't get it done. We have to say god. Show me the steps. That i need to take the have the result that i want to get in my life. I mean the bible says enrollment hebrews twelve that no discipline for the president brings joy. It's painful when i first started going to the gym i was i was sore for two years and i know that sounds ridiculous but i was. Oh my gosh you just don't know how bad i hurt and i'm telling you the truth it's like so often we start to do the right thing and it's hard home. I can't go walk every day. I don't have the time for that yes you do. Yes you do. You know something that. I've found out we do what we wanna do ave. That's just the bottom line. If you want to have a better relationship with god you will find the time to spend time with him. You wanted to come to this conference. Some of you took your vacation time to come and listen to me. Do this up launch for everybody but see you wanted to come so you whatever. We do what we want to do.

Your Spiritual Health: Being Born Again

"To be spiritually healthy. Obviously the first thing we need is to receive christ our savior. That's the beginning. And so what does it mean to be born again. Well you're born again inside. Your spirit is made new. God comes to live in your spirit and you become the home of god now that to me is just an amazing thing and we'll talk about that a little bit more when we talk about the body. God lives in you as a believer. But i'm particularly fond of i. John three nine. So we're going to share that and talking about the new birth. No-one barn of god are born again deliberately knowingly and habitually practises sin. Now it doesn't say you never sins but it says you don't habitual lay knowingly purposely. Live a lifestyle of thin. You can't do that anymore if he truly born again. And there's somebody says to you christian and they're doing that then. Something's wrong because you get a new nature. God's nature comes to dwell in you you get a new heart as you just cannot keep doing all the things that everybody in. The world does can't keep doing all kinds of ungodly things because it's not even be wrong. God doesn't want you to do it. You just can't do it because it's not your nature to keep doing it anymore and so you can't be happy with it now. I'm not saying that you never see. And of course you in and there may be things that are bondage is in our lives that it takes us a while to get free from and you know we make allowances for all those things. But i'm just saying that if you're really born again then you can't just live in sin and just be happy with it you just can't i mean if you thought you were miserable in your sin before you were born again you just get god live on the inside of you and keep it up and see how miserable you can get. You cannot continue to live that kind of life. because god's nature abides in him now. I love the way the amplified bible puts this his principle of life the divine sperm remains prominently within him and he cannot practice inning. Because he is born or begotten of god. Now now what's this divine sperm now. We all know that when a woman gets pregnant for the sperm of her husband's planted in her womb and she becomes pregnant with a child. Not i'm real fond of this because this is putting in his plane as it can be. Jesus as far as looking at this would be the son of god the divine sperm of god corn. You're born again. He comes to live in you. He's planet in the womb of your spirit. And i love to say it this way. I'm not trying to be cute or weird or anything else. But i think when you're born again you become pregnant so to speak with everything that god

Sea Hunt - It's Still Alive: Point of No Return

"It's time for another installment of seahorn. It's still alive in this time. We're going to season four episode one titled point of no return and it premiered on january seventh nineteen sixty one sixty years ago. The episode starts out with a boat pulling up alongside coast guard cutter. The boat is dropping off a reporter. Dorothy may brooke. She is heard that. Mike nelson is on board and figures. There must be a big story. If he's involved. The captain of the cutter tells dotty that you'll have to wait three days to talk to mike. The research is about mike. Living and working out of the scuba sphere. A two hundred and fifty feet now. That was right at the beginning of the work. That the davy jacques cousteau and ed link. We're doing on underwater habitats so sea hunt was a little ahead of the game after dadi get some basic information from the three scientists on board the cutter. The scene shifts to mike underwater. He's in doubles swimming with a big bag of rocks. And he's going entire inside the scuba sere. The scuba sphere is small diving bell shaped habitat with liquid helium and oxygen tanks. Act out once. Mike is inside. He gets a call from the booth. Lieutenant totally tells him that a tropical storm is heading your way rather than hall him up. It seems that mike is going to ride it out so he strings up. His hammock gets ready for bed in gets into the sack and because he says he can't raid the refrigerator like he normally does. He settled for a bottle of liquid protein. Well you guessed it. The big storm hits and as the cutters tossed about so is the scuba sere. Suddenly one of the tanks cured to the side of the sphere breaks loose and crashes down on the hatch rendering it inoperable. Mike can't fix it and now they can't bring them up and properly decompress. The project engineer vic jennings says it will take a day to make a new hatch. Should they cut him loose. They try to get them off the bottom and ride it out but discovers fear is being dragged it gets caught on a coral formation. Two hundred fifty feet. Mike gears up with his doubles and he has some additional small tanks between the double cylinders. Not sure what they are. But there's copper tubing Spiraling up to the vows on his. Saunders looks like kind of like a still. Maybe it's helium. They never really say as his fear breaks free. Mike reid it along until the cable and telephone connections part and luckily to screw this. Fear settles when the bottom in an upright position. So mike can go back inside and he says that he needs to spend his second night in this chamber of ours. I gotta tell you mike wetsuit. Looks pretty beat up in this episode starting to peel or something like that will now. The storm has passed the cutter realizes that mike is no longer attached. They have a new door but now they have to find a habitat might goes outside and tries to inflate one of his marker. Booties but it won't work at eight atmospheres so he takes out a balloon. Blows it up a bit ties it off to a line and sends it up. Will you guessed it it bursts now. He reverts to filling up a pair of denim jeans tied off at the bottom. I remember this from my time in the navy where you could use your pants. As type of life preserver on. Mike sends the inflated pants to the surface they briefly mark the location before collapsing. But lieutenant totally thought he saw something so they stay in the area back inside scuba sphere. Mike says that he needs to conserve. Air and pray then. He remembers something from this cub scout. Days and concocts a plan to use his wetsuit. Top as a surface marker buoy. He goes back outside. Fills it up and shoots it to the surface and then ties it off to the scuba sphere dadi and or intently scanning surface suddenly dadi spots to wet suit top. Well the next thing we see. Is mike nelson signs wetsuit. Top two hundred and fifty feet dragging a new hatch cable and telephone line across the bottom. He fixes the hatch. Attach is the cable and splices in the telephone. It's cold wet work he says and he's ready to rejoin the human race. Might get back inside. He hits the hammock and sleeps through the hours of decompression. They have to bang on the sphere to wake him up once. Mike opens the hatch up. Pops dotty to give him a big hug. Mike says he must be in heaven. 'cause this is the angel he's been dreaming about what are the best of my knowledge. This is the only episode. That dadi mayfield was in. Although it appears that from the dialogue from lake that daddy was intent on marrying mike nelson or as as he puts it put a ring through his nose. Dorothy mayfield was played by the actress. Joyce meadows whether there wasn't a lot of diving in the point of no return but mike nails nelson was well ahead of the likes of george. Bon jacques cousteau and egg link in deep sea. What is Hope

"In zone but how many of you admit that it wouldn't hurt you to have an attitude. Adjustment either a man now. I've come a long way. And i don't have a bad attitude very often anymore but every once in a while i'll get one and when i do. I have to do the same things that i'm telling you to do. What is hope. Hope for this hope for that. I hope it don't rain. I hope. I hope i hope hope is not just kind of this. Wishy washy vague. Well wonder if it'll happen. But i don't know if it will. I guess we'll just kind of case roster raw wait and see that may be a worldly kind of hope but does not bible hope bible. Hope is extremely powerful. It's a favorable and a confident expectation. I want to say to you. What are you expecting god to do in your life is kind of waiting to see hope better than what i have been getting now. What are you expecting. what are you expecting. What are you seeing in your mind in your imagination. How do you talk about your future. What are you looking for when you get up every day. Are you just kind of like the other day. Try to make it through the day. Are you like man. There's no telling what god might do. Today today. could be the day of my breakthrough. you don't wanna pregnant woman is expecting the longer you're pregnant. The more expectant you become and so some of you may be live and believe in god for the same thing for twenty years. Well then i'll tell you what you ought to be. Just about ready to pop with expectation. I carried my children over there. Do date the doctor said that i was the only woman he knew that stayed pregnant. As long as an elephant. My first child was four weeks late. Yeah the second one was five and a half weeks late. The third one was three and a half weeks late and the last one was almost five weeks late and he lacked one way and ten pounds. I was really ready to get him. And i'm telling you what. Every day i woke up this has got to be the day today is going to be the day. Check everything in this case and dust everything off. Make sure. I had everything just right and you know every time i would just feel anything there is there it is there it is. I was expected. I'm going to ask you again. What are you expecting god to do in your life. God wants us to be expected on purpose. It has to do with the unseen in the future. You don't hope for what you can see. You don't hope for what you already have. You hope for what you can't see and what you have. Hope is the happy anticipation of good. I love that the happy anticipation. Something good is going to happen to make something good is going to happen in my family. Something good is going to happen. In our nation. God is good and he is doing good things and hope releases. Joy hope is very simply a positive attitude. A positive mindset. Now if i can stand here in say to you have a positive attitude coming from where i came from and saying what god has done in my attitude. I'm here to tell you that no matter how many negative things you happen in your life no matter how negative your mind might be right now you can have a change of mind and a change of attitude and you can become so positive that you won't even hardly recognize yourself. The hopeful person absolutely refuses to be negative in any way although they recognize and deal with the storms of live they remain hopeful in thought attitude and conversation and conversation so often we say we're praying for this or we're hoping for that and if you listen to the way we talk we shared on sound like we're hoping for any change. We can't be saying that. We're in faith for god to do this. And then talk about it like it's never going to change now. Here comes something for you to do. We always liked to have something to do. Anybody can decide today to be hopeful.

The Anchor of Hope: Decide To Be Hopeful

"Anybody can decide to be hopeful. If i can't get that across from you today that i'm pretty much wasting my time because if we're going to let our feelings are circumstances determined rather our hope is up or down then the enemies in control. We've just turned over the keys to our lives and said here do what you want to but every person that tearing my voice right now road. That's on tv or some other recorded device that you're you're watching on social media you're here in the room. You're listening by radio. You can decide today to be full of hope. And why would anybody want to decide anything else. If you can make yourself happy why would you not to do it. Your thoughts your attitude. Your words belong to you and you do not have to wait for some special feeling to be hopeful. We make decisions and feelings catch up with our decisions. We make decisions and failing catch up with our decisions. We don't wait to see how we feel. Then make a decision. What hey you're going to go to the joy smart conference this weekend. Well i'm gonna wait and see how i feel. You're you're not coming. I mean you are not coming a love romans fifteen thirteen it says may the god of hope fill you the god of hope he is god of hope. He is not the god of hopelessness. He is the god of hope. May the god of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing and believing really is a positive expectation. It's looking at the promises of god and saying this is for me and i believe that god is going to do this in my life. Come on fight for yourself. Don't be passive and just sit around and wish that something good would happen to. You are even worse it around and be jealous of everybody else has got a nice time can get. It happened to me. It's the attitude you say thank you. God bless them and by the way i'm in that line too god is the author of hope there would be no such thing as hope without god. We better get our hopes up because in the midst of what we're living in today and the anger and the negativity and the bad news and all the stuff that we're hearing no wonder god wanted me to write a book called. Get your hopes up if you've had a little hope. I want you to have a lot of hope. If you've had a lot of hope. I want you to have ryan go home doubt and negativity steel. Hope they block it when you feel hopeless or down in any way you just need a resurrection of belief and a positive attitude. Something good is going to happen to me. Something good is going to happen through me. I don't care if you have to take one solid hour and march around your house and say over and over. Something good is going to happen to me. God is good and something is going to happen to me. If god can bless anybody. God can bless me. Something good is going to happen to me. I man. I sent an anointing here. Depression still being broken off. A people negatively being broken off of people signed by those bad attitudes. It's a new day. Well you know joist. I woke up this morning. And i felt down yell well. I didn't feel too perky myself. Something good is going to happen to me.

"In little Rock, Arkansas, there's a family who put up their Christmas Decorations. They had some look and they found some blow up black Santa Claus decorations. Unfortunately, with that they were met with a pretty nasty letter calling them racist for having These decorations on their front yard on a trip. Let me just read you a little quick snippet of this letter that they received as family. Please remove your Negro Santa Claus. Yard decorations. You should not try to deceive Children into believing that I am a Negro. I am the occasion and you have been for the pet and have been for the past 600 years. You're being jealous of my race is no excuse for your dishonesty. Besides that, you're making yourself the laughing stock of the neighborhood. Obviously, your values are not that of the Lakewood area, and maybe you should move to a neighborhood out East. With the rest of your racist kind. Yours truly signed Santa Claus.

"Simple answer. Let it go. Drop it, leave it. Let it go. Shake it off. You know there are times I have to say to myself you know Joyce you've probably heard painful a lot of times. You don't even realize you did it. Believing the best about people when they hurt you. is so powerful because immediately that helps you. And here's the bottom line. If they did mistreat you purposely. And God cannot bring them to a place of repentance and you do what you're supposed to do before God. God will deal with them and he will reward you. Simple just let it go. Some you've been dragging stuff around with you happen twenty years ago. I mean really. I know I did that for years and years and years I was mad at my mom and dad and I hated my mom and dad and I hated the people who didn't help me how mad at them and I was just mad at everybody. And I'm so glad that I married a man that had a good attitude. Why I had never really been around anybody with a good attitude I thought having a bad attitude was a way of life. Maybe you grew up in a negative environment and you haven't heard the good news yet that you can control your attitude. And it doesn't have to be a bad one. Turn to the person next to you and say, you don't have to have a bad attitude..

"I knew that if he didn't kill me someone in the streets. What's going to kill me? When we left off joysticks and Haskett had just been brutally beaten three men with pool. Sticks took turns hitting her hitting her so hard that one stick broke and she thought that was the end of it. But it wasn't. He called for another stick. They started to beat me with that. Stick I remember going down so I couldn't see but I could hear and I heard someone say you have to kill her. You can't take her to the hospital because they're gonNA ask too many questions. Those men did bring to a hospital sort of they wrapped up in a blanket and dropped her at the loading dock at the hospital. She would be found three hours later. The attack was so bad that it took her thirteen days to recover when I got ready to leave. Guess where they released me to talk to him and I couldn't take it anymore so I decided that my only way out was to kill him. Oh my goodness him was her trafficker and Joyce's mind. There's only one way out so I gotta go back to the House here in an upstairs bathroom. The he didn't use waited for my opportunity. Came downstairs stressed out on Sofa stood up looked at him academy was shot him and I stood there and watched him die Welcome back Joyce Dixon Haskett. A person built up to me is a great inspiration. A person who is a beacon of hope and perseverance just admitted that she shot a man with the intent to murder. I can say it's the first time I've ever had someone sit across from me and say they've killed someone and I thought something was wrong with me because I didn't go to pieces.

You know you feel bad about yourself you feel bad about everybody around you and I think what makes it even more difficult. Is that the people who were supposed to love you and nurture you take care of. You protect you. They didn't and and so you wonder why no one ever ask you ask you. What's the matter or smile like you're used to your laugh like it used to? Nobody asks in my house. Everybody was too busy thinking about themselves. Joyce just wanted someone to invest in her someone to show that they cared. She says that she was having sex regularly by age. Fourteen thinking maybe that would lead to love. I was the girl that all the guys wanted to be with but nobody WANNA take home to meet their mother. That was me pregnant at sixteen with my first child. Pregnant eighteen with the second one different filers. I was out there trying to find my place trying to find where fit. I just didn't fit anywhere but what I learned is that it's not love that you're looking for it's validation. Everybody needs to be validated. And that's what I was looking for to you. I spent most of my life waiting for other people to make me good enough. They won't they won't Joyce was searching for happiness purpose. She went to school and got a job but just nothing work had boyfriend. Nothing worked for me and one day. She doesn't identify him but at the time. Joyce thought he was just what she needed comes up in his fancy car and girls and money and tells me I'm beautiful and buys me designer clothes and fancy shoes and takes me too fancy restaurants all of a sudden someone's paying good attention.

"Joyce will be teaching from her series live to love when you hear the word love. What do you think? Do you think will manse relationships in marriage that is the kind of love? But there is also another kind of love that Jesus taught a tangible that you can share with the whole world when he was asked. What is the greatest commandment Jesus said to love God later, he encouraged his own disciples to take it a step further and challenge them to love one another who do you need to love today. Maybe it's your spouse, a friend, a coworker, people are all around us and God wants to show you how to walk in his love. Now, here's Joyce with today series live to love. You know, doing some there's somebody is pretty easy. If you feel like you want to and you got plenty of time plenty of money in a whole lot of what they need anyway. But if it becomes a deeper sacrifice, then we have to be willing not to get on a cross in die. But to let our flesh go to the cross and die because your flesh will fight against you. Even though you have the good in you, and there's a desire in there to obey God to do. What's right? You can count on it. Your flesh is gonna fight against you. At least until you get very well practiced in these areas, and it's always harder in the beginning of anything than it is later on. I don't have that much difficulty forgiving people now because I totally get the whole spiritual principle behind it. But I went through years of fighting with that thing, and it would be so hard for me to forgive people and not only forgive them. But then to see them somewhere and treat them decent are not to talk about them behind their back and tell everybody what they had done to me. Now, that's our. Are. Have you ever been mad at somebody? And you heard somebody talking about what a great person they were. And let me ask you was it impossible for you to keep your mouth shut and say, well, let me tell you a few things that you may not know. That was a hard one for me to get over like. Yeah, they really are. Sweet. Yes. Praise. The Lord, God bless them. They're just a wonderful person. So that means dying to self. That's the cross that we carry not to live a selfish self centered self absorbed life. Thank god. We don't have to go get on a cross and shed our blood and die. Our sins are paid far. We've been redeemed we've been set free. And we're free and not only to enjoy our lives. But the greatest thing is we're free to help everybody else. Enjoy there's doesn't it. Make you happy today that you're free to bring joy to somebody else..

I John chapter three verse seventeen. I love to study about love because I've find if I don't keep it in front of me on a regular basis that it's easy to forget the importance of it and Jesus said one new commandment, I give unto you that you love one another just as I have loved you one new commandment. He said you do this one. Everything's gonna be taken care of. And I John chapter three verse seventeen it says if anyone has this world's goods resources for sustaining life and sees his brother and fellow believer in need and closes his heart of compassion against him. I love that. Because as I said this morning, you've got everything that you need on the inside of you to walk in love, you have compassion. It's in your spirit as a born again believer, but you can open that heart of compassion. Are you can close that heart of compassion? You can decide to follow the leading of the Holy Spirit. Are you can decide to say no to it? How can the love? Live and remain in that person little children. Let us not love merely in theory are in speech, but indeed an intruder in practice and in sincerity..

Don't worry about having a platform and being in front of a bunch of people just do something to help somebody whatever's in front of you to lay your hand to lay your hand to it. And then if we read the rest of this, which I won't take time to do. He went on to say when I was sick. You didn't visit me when I was hungry. You didn't feed me when I needed you. You didn't come while. When did we not do that? If you have not done it unto the least of these my brethren, then you have not done it unto me. And I'm glad that we stay both sides. When you did it you did it unto me when you didn't do it. You didn't do it on to mate we need to walk in love. Not just talk about love. It's easy to preach on love. "Now, here's Joyce with today's series parables. Got for a few minutes about what I call dying to live. I actually would like to write a book before I die called dining live. But I think I may ride it until my family that they can't release it till after I'm gone because I'm not sure how many people would buy it. And I don't wanna get disappointed. So I'll just leave it here. Actually this principle is in the word of God. And it's phenomenal. When you see it because when we die to self. That's when we really start to live. So you literally in the way of God that God wants his look at it tonight. Like, we thank well when you die you stop living. But he says when you die a self then and only then did you really start living. You haven't even started living until you say goodbye to self will. And Hello to God's will. And I think we're all on most. We know that we start on our walk with God. And we want all these things and we want God to help us. Get them come on. Don't you look at me like that? We want. We want this. And we want that. And we want something else. And you know, God where you give me those be give me that. Well, the truth is you may end up with a lot of it. But God's not going to give it to you. And he knows that you're ready, and you're not ready until you're willing to give it up. If God says give it up. It's amazing. How many times God will put us through the routine of making us think that we're never going to have something that we want and we get to the point. We don't care, and then they'll give it to us. I man. You can't mean too much to us. Mark eight thirty four through thirty six and Jesus called him a throng with his disciples and said to them if anybody intends to come after me, let him deny himself forget ignored this own and lose sight of himself and all of his own interest. Well, yet is anybody excited? I didn't hear one man when I read that. And let him take up his cross and follow me from whoever wants to save his higher spiritual life. We'll have to lose.
