"Everything to that offense. You don't want to boil it down to one drive and say this is why this guy is so valuable. He was so valuable all season, but when it came down to it when the rams had zero other options to move the ball in the Super Bowl when they actually had to move it, they figured out all they needed was Matthew safford and Cooper Cup and they would make it work. The two of them would just force it to work. And yeah, and that's why the Super Bowl champion right now. The one thing that kind of stands out to me with cup is you hear all the time. And I think we're going to do more on this as the season goes on because it's just really interesting, but Matthew saver always talks about the body language. Cooper cups of body language is better than any receivers ever played with and the way he's able to basically transmit where he's going to Matthew safford before he goes. I mean, the chemistry the two of them had last year was just exceptional and even more incredible, considering it was their first season together, but man, I mean, there's really no reason to think that this won't be the same situation for the next two or three seasons there in LA. Yeah, I think what they have, I think, so I don't know, follow me on this one, is the best of what Tom Brady had with Danny mendola in Wes Welker in hyperdrive because Cooper Cup is a better athlete than either of those two. And the way that those two receivers combined with Brady were able to understand legal traffic and spacing, I think brought them to numerous super bowls. And I think that the same could be said probably for Cooper Cup, where in trips, if you can't get the hand on him off the snap, he's unguardable because he's always going to be able to find just a little sliver of open space and he's going to catch the ball. The other signing we're going to touch on this week, hunter Renfro, and this one was fascinating to me because I remember one point when I was putting our outline together on the receiver guys. And I don't even know if we brought up up on the show, but I just put like hunter renfrow and a question mark after that saying like, okay, mclaurin and Metcalf and all these guys who we know are number one receivers. And then it's like, what if hunter renfrow? A guy who is a really good player. But is really a slot only guy. He's a complimentary player. You know, he's not going to be a guy you can line up as like an X ISO receiver and get wins that way. He's going to be he's going to be inside. And that's what he's going to do and he's going to do it really well, but what would the market for that kind of guy be? And we saw. It's a lot. It's a lot of money for him. Yeah, it was interesting. I was talking to one NFL person who remarked that that was the moment for that person where that positional group jumped the shark. And it's interesting because certainly your tyreek hills and your Davante Adams are worth every penny of that. But as you start to look at the economics of the market, it is interesting that, for example, you throw out like, okay, is is hunter Renfro worth 5 Josh Reynolds? Right? I mean, that's kind of. I don't know what you're going to do with 5 Josh Reynolds is in your roster. Who's like a good who's a good veteran wide receiver that's making like a million bucks. Like a very just okay, you know, like veteran minimum guy, but you'll bring him in. I don't know. Like, I don't know who they have in Miami, now that tyreek is there filling out that depth chart. Is van Jefferson on the end of his rookie deal? Yeah. And Jefferson might be on the end of his rookie. Yeah, he's going to be a free agent next year, but van Jefferson is making 1.4 million. It's hunter renfrow worth 16 times what van Jefferson is worth to you. To me, no. When you put it that way, but the thing I, the thing I think about with hunter Renfro is I also look at the jets, but the current jets. And that's like the last couple we'll see. It's like they had jamison Crowder and they had Braxton barrios, and I think those are two guys who looked at and were kind of like, yeah, those are really good guys to have out of the slot and young guys, you can separate guys again make plays on third down, et cetera, et cetera. Now, neither guys as good as hunter Renfro, but they're not that far behind, and it feels like there's always, I don't know. Like, half dozen that you can just go out and get for a fairly lesser price there. I mean, Renfro obviously he has some chemistry there. A car at this point, you want to maintain that. And that sort of thing. But it's a lot of money. I would have been fascinating to see Renfro hit the open market and see if someone would have given him well, frankly, a bigger deal than he got from the Raiders here, but also what is the market for a guy like that as a complimentary piece to your offense. As opposed to devonta Adams or Tyree kill? Do you think that at some point the market is going to have a more defined subdivision? Because that was always the complication with when Wes Welker was up for a new deal or any of those guys in the past. And I don't think we ever really solved that problem. And I'd be curious to see as the position becomes more valuable, are we going to see more market tears? Because right now, the breakdown is weird, right? Like if you look at if you look at all the active receiver contracts, you have your true X guys out there. But within the top, I don't know, one, two, three. I mean, hunter Renfro is now among the elite, you know? And so somewhat elite, right? Like approximately average annual value. I mean, he's up there, right? He's Adam Thielen. He's Alan Robinson. He's a little bit above Robbie Anderson. And is certainly and it's not the same guy. Well, I'll tell you what the one quick point. Yeah. How smart to the Broncos look extending those two guys Tim Patrick and courtland Sutton before all that went down? Wow. No, they were, boy, George Payton was ahead of the curve on that one. I'll just say as far as the way this, you know, the subdivisions that you bring up, great rush song, but also it's a good point because I think if you go back and we can go back to Wes Welker, Wes Welker was, you know, the slot guy and Randy Moss was the big play guy on those great patriots teams. That was also a time when there just wasn't this kind of depth at the receiver position and also I don't think schematically teams were able to create production out of that receiver position like they can now. So I'm just, I don't want to say I'm surprised. Again, I think hundred reference is a really good player. It makes total sense to lock him in because you want America. He's good at football. He's going to make your team better. I just didn't think that the receiver boom would necessarily trickle down to guys who are clearly complimentary guys as opposed to true number one guys, which obviously that's what my dad Adams is. That's what AJ Brown is. That's what tyreek hill is. Yeah, so.

"All right, he joins us every Thursday, Peter schrager is here from good morning football and from Fox Sports. We had another kind of lousy week last week. We lost 345,000 on a $1 million picks, but we're still up 5 79 for the season. This is going to be our biggest week here. I'm telling you now. You remember, are you old enough to remember crazy Eddie? Of course. You are selling you all. This is the biggest sale I've had all year. This is going to be the biggest week we've had. I like a ton of games. There's some underdog stuff I like. Every once in a while, the schedule just comes your way. With a bunch of things. A bunch of presents. It's like Santa Claus coming down the chimney. Before we do that, though, tell us how Euro does stuff. You went to the ramps today. I don't want to spend too much time on this because he honestly has not been an impact prior in 5 years. And I want to calm down on it at the same time. He's better than Josh Reynolds. The needed a third receiver like, this is a good thing for them. It's so funny you say Josh Reynolds. So Bill, when Josh Reynolds was released, I got from my sources in the rams organization like, all right, I think we're going to make a play for Josh Reynolds. And I'm like, solid signing. In the last 48 hours, talk about Dell started coming up. But what I think is interesting is how they got Odell over there. You know, a couple years back when odo was still with the Giants, the the rams were very much in the mix before he was traded to Cleveland. At the end of the day, Odell and McVeigh had seen each other out in LA. They connected. There was no tampering. It was just one of those deals. All right, this guy's cool. This guy's cool. Someday, I'll play for you. Ha, one of that stuff, whatever. Turns out, never got very far because Cleveland and the Giants, Cleveland offered first round. Like the rams weren't going to offer that. So this thing comes around and McVeigh got on the phone himself. And he made a call to Odell and was basically like, what are you looking for? Because you can come here and be a part of a team and it's for 8 weeks or maybe more, whatever it is, you can a have a great time with a bunch of these veterans B rehab your image, do whatever you want with that. And see, we're going to get you The Rock. Like, don't worry. This isn't Desean Jackson. Desean Jackson is a different type of player than Odell Beckham. And what they're looking at is, let's go for wide. Let's get Cooper Cup, let's get Robert Woods. Let's get van Jefferson and let's get o'dell out there. And they view Odell as a different type of receiver as Desean Jackson or Josh Reynolds. And the pitch was basically like, come and join this ride. And you're going to enjoy this. You're going to be in LA. It'll be you and me. These guys, and then once McVeigh got going, then it became Jalen Ramsey, FaceTiming him. It became von Miller. And by the way, this was your basketball prediction. You said, this is the February buyout. Brooklyn Nets move. This was it. Going all in. This is the Brooklyn Nets going out and getting Lamarcus Aldridge when they already just got Blake Griffin. Like this is what it was. And the last point that I love and this comes from someone else, other than McVeigh, but, you know, Jalen Ramsey's FaceTime to him. And apparently, Odell asks Jalen, like, hey, I just want to make sure do you think the rest of the wide receivers are going to be cool. I just want to I don't want to upset at Apple cart. If I'm coming in, trust me, I'm coming in. So Jalen Ramsey brings his phone with Odell on FaceTime and brings it into the wide receivers room. It basically faces it at them. It's like, are you guys cool with Odell? And they're all like yeah, let's go. Let's bring them in. So Odell is coming and like the fact that like von Miller's recruiting him. And he's like, dude, we need you. They're all in. And it's one of these deals where we talked about last week with von Miller, but the other veterans feed off it. And for this one, they're paying him basically what they were going to pay Deshawn Jackson. It's a rental, if it works out and they can resign them. That's great. If not, let's see where it goes. But they don't view this as, oh my God, here comes the back end. He's gonna throw met Stafford under the bus and like he did to baker or to Eli. Like, this is a different deal right here. It's a bunch of veterans who all very much acknowledge that this is the best shot I have at winning a Super Bowl and we're all in for this one season. Well, they could also cut them if it doesn't work out. Exactly right. Not a lot of money going on here. I was wondering, what do you think he was holding out for? Because I thought, I don't know if it was attention or he didn't find the right team or it seemed like he was milking it. At one point I was thinking, is he waiting until Sunday's games to see who's in the playoff picture? Because there's so many things in motion on Sunday and Monday for the playoffs that we're really going to have by Tuesday. We're really going to have a feeling for the player picture. I was wondering, was he looking at that? What do you think? I think he's always wanted to play in LA. He's always wanted to play for mcvay. And, you know, right out of the gates and you got good NFL reporters. But you heard the teams, packers, chiefs, patriots, saints, who I can tell you, saints actually tried trading for him before the trade deadline, like they were actually..

"Have had a home win. Over three so far this year, they get their first one against the Cardinals. And then the Sunday Night game one I was so so, so, so, so, so, so, so, so, so, so much looking forward to and it's kind of ruined now because there is no Derek Henry, you know, it was sort of like a three and a half point favorite Los Angeles Rams has now doubled to 7. Because of that injury to dairy Henry, then the rams also went out inquired von Miller too. Then I've seen Ryan Tannehill take the heat. I saw at last week when they played the colts in the culture get an after him. I believe the rams will get after him. I do. But the connection to Ryan Tannehill and AJ Brown has been really really good as of late. I have really liked that. They signed Adrian Peterson to carry some of the load, not most of a load Ryan Tannehill is going to have two step up will what's it called Julio Jones be back, Josh Reynolds former wide receiver of the rams playing on the Titans. I believe facing all odds be Titans, when this game, this is my major upset of the week. I am picking the Titans to roll into SoFi and get the win Ryan Tannehill to have a big game. Anyone tell me when is the last time. Matthew Stafford had a prime time game R two my bad two prime time games outside of this year. This year he's on the rams so. They get a lot of prime time games since it's Los Angeles. It's just that market where Sean mcvay does well, but Matthew Stafford has not been in many prime time games. You know, the past few years with alliance, he's only had two prime time games. You have the Thanksgiving one and like a Monday night game. So it's not that good. 6 and 14, he's thrown into a fire now a lot more than prime time games. They were able in that first win. To get and be the bears and to me, the bears were helpless. They played the Seahawks in one, but Matthew Stafford did not play good in that game. The Seahawks got to him, you're a Russell Wilson injury away from them winning that game. I believe that rears its ugly head and the Titans play composed. They win this game Mike vrabel celebrates with the aviators on the sideline and they get the win. I like the Titans to upset the rams on Sunday Night. So that's all with the NFL. Now moving on to the NBA. And the Lakers just can not beat the thunder. They just can't, I don't know what's with it yesterday..

"But i am. I concerned sure. Do i accept it. Yeah am i freaking out. No because at the end the day the reason why we got the julio jones if you've been keeping note and paying attention was because we said we need a body as gonna win the game dare can reach keeps you in the game but at some point if there is the shootout if there is all that stuff that comes in. What i'm saying is that we constructed offense that need to be there all bases because what we're trying to do trying to evolve as what it is. Look at the paper. Look the paper. Think about it you know what if we were truly just going to be this run base seem like the seattle sea frauds. Who really just on the nose are not built it. you know they. They're very similar. Seem like we're going to be running team and then they lose chris carson. And they're just atrocious. With rashad penny travis homer and kill me and The allegations that they have in their alex collins i believe is their lead back to it. So there's some things are actually working but for us for no no. We're going to try to evolve. We believe that we loved eric. He's a fantastic player. You know we we love eric. Recharges area we named you a segment onto it. However once charles darwin with times doing this area but we can't do it just on him alone. Has the reason why. We went out for debbie. Not as we signed josh reynolds. Who hasn't done anything is we're letting an hiles west reduce abruptly something for recognizing what is truly needed. I would say for victory. Can we get it done on. Ten thousand played exceptionally well but contentious play. What he needs to play cabbie foods. We'll see we'll see this is. This is a moment to actually prove that he just he's Not miami dolphins renton now. You never go. But he's got a better team on anyways. You don't win the game by running to hundred yards touch. It's just the guys at present. The biggest dampers that i truly believe this was the season to acknowledge the fact that he was. Mvp yeah yeah. There was nobody else on that field. That convince me otherwise in you know that. Yeah okay charles. So that's nfl. and i wanna Just a quick nhl stuff. There's jack eichel out in buffalo. He's unhappy hasn't been playing with them. there's trade rumors right now. Kevin weeks saying that the flames are the front runners. So he might be popping out to calgary so we'll see how that turns out but as of right now it's gonna be a whole thing don't know if they'll finally pull the trigger finally get him out of there we'll see so that's that's the buffalo sabres as other. "News and notes from around. The league presented vice sleeper. Just to pull the room since i having introduced are producers. Alborn judge giamatti Did that reference land for either of you to no sir. Not at all no k. That's what i said. It's not for this deep cut. Its for mike's children. One out of five. That's okay nice kind of a one out of five everywhere else. Once you look it up you'll go. Fulton reader show. Do you get that reference. Yes because You get that reference james. Yes but i'm curious. Remind me with who am i. I want to look this heat from the christmas. Carol pete's the big guy from Meet the cat. Oh okay all right. Well he yeah. He's a kid we need. We really need to talk. Julio jones right now all right. Julio jones was traded to the titans it was julio anna twenty twenty three six rounder for eight twenty twenty two second round pick in two twenty twenty three fourth round. Pick we'll save the falcons fifteen point three million dollars in cap space and the titans who after losing corey davis adam humphreys joni smith. They looked a little bit suss on the offensive side of the ball. I was aj brown and dot dot dot. Josh reynolds was a sleeper candidate. Maybe i was hanging out there as next man up and all of a sudden. Julio jones arrives in this team looks completely different last year. Corey davis ninety two targets and fourteen games. There are plenty of targets for julio in tennessee. So let's start. This is going to be a everyone. Wants to hear the full breakdowns. Let's start on the tennessee side of the football impacts aj brown to julio to tanna hill. What was your reaction for for the tennessee site and this destination for julio I think this is great for tennessee. Absolutely phenomenal you. Can't just add a wide receiver like this usually for a second rounder. Unless you are trading with bill o'brien and so right you know usually this nets you like mohamed sanu and instead you're adding first ballot hall of fame wide receiver. This is a very good landing spot for. Julio it could have been far worse yes it's probably the best landing spot out other than staying with atlanta which we knew was no longer a possibility as look the salary. Cap is i've as imaginary as it has been. The salary finally got somebody and they had to move on from julio jones. So i'm with you jason. That going somewhere where he can at least maintain a a a very nice target share. I mean not that. He wasn't going to do that but he goes in and With all the vacated targets the vacated targeted there he he is still really solid for fantasy for perspective last year. Seventeen game pays for atlanta vs tennessee atlanta through for about a thousand more yards than the tennessee. Titans did so efficiency. Is the name of the game now. They've proved it over several years. Being able to be efficient ryan. Tannehill could still put up big fantasy weeks. Aj brown even sharing targets. Your last year was was great But i do think that there may be a little bit more of the boom bust ping pong between these guys a little bit through the year. Do you agree with that that there may be some. Some games were looked. The play. action pass opens up a deep bom for julio but then the next week it's a it's a derrick henry three touchdown performance yet. Th that's certainly in what will likely happen and we went so we updated our rankings. You know as soon as we possibly could for after the news broke and it did. The only person who moved up for me was ryan tannehill. He is to me. Is the true benefactor of this getting julio jones in that trade i seven last season. Yes ryan tannehill. I didn't go out of control. I mean ryan tannehill but he jumps into my quarterback one range again for julio jones. The biggest question here is. He's always been great for yardage. But julio touchdown jones was just like a fun bit on the show. And we've never we've never really gotten god like a touchdown numbers from julio jones and going to the titans he will have to increase those because the authorities will be there. But we'll we'll the touchdowns be there for julio jones because right now julio's is sitting as a low arrange wide receiver to for me while. Aj brown is still in the wide receiver one range. I think you're the lowest julio right now based on our first pass at the projections. I think jason and i are very very similar in the fourteen fifteen range. You're one hundred percent right now. I think that that you know matt ryan's had struggles in the red zone for a long time. I think that the efficiency can improve for. Julio but you will need it. You'll need touchdown. So i can get to double digit touchdowns in tennessee. I really do. But that will impact the level of consistency. You get from him. yeah i. I have julio right now as my wide receiver sixteen which is a solid wide receiver tunes now but that's not normal round ahead of hooghly. Yeah we do. I expect him to be the number one target in tennessee. Okay upgrade for tannehill. He's got two great weapons there. Derrick henry status quo. Yeah i mean it's not good for him. You know it's fantastic for for derrick henry you stack when it was. Aj brown there will be some defense that could get away with just selling out to stop the run and because you have a great corner who you can match up an aj brown but now you. You can no longer do that. I it it i didn't. I didn't really modify my staff. For for derrick henry because he was already.

"Radio for Mavs Clippers. That, of course, is a game 72 of the sweetest words in all of sports Game seven. But the big news of the day actually came to us out of the NFL and you heard on the brake. Diana Russini. ESPN own. She reversed, reported that the Falcons were to retreat trading. Julio Jones to the Tennessee Titans. That is a huge story, of course in the NFL, changing somewhat of the landscape of the NFL, and that a F C South Division, which it appears now the Titans are going to own. We turn our attention to the guest line where we will find her on Davenport, ESPN Titans reporter. He's joining us via the Goodyear Hotline and turn. Let's start here. Just How big is this for Tennessee? Getting Julio Jones? Yeah, it's a huge mu mu. Excuse me, And this is one of those situations where you have some of the top players on the team lobbying for this guy to become a tight and then here it is, it came true. And just schematically when you look at just how this lays out Before Julio Jones. His arrival, AJ Brown was probably going to face bracket coverage on I would say at least 75% of his snaps now, and I just talked to a J. Brown not too long ago and now You know, it's a situation where you don't know who the number one corner is going to going to follow, and whoever gets the second corner is going to be in a little bit of trouble. That's what AJ Brown said. And it really holds true, so it just brings tremendous balance. To the offense. It's It's an offence that's coming off a year where they had a 2000 yard. Russia, a 1000 yard receiver, and Corey Davis, who was departed to the Jets was just 16 yards short. Over 1000 yards, and that's a rare feat. And that's something that you know this offense. I don't know that they'll be able to get 2000 yards again. But 1000 yards receiving is something that will probably happened on both parts this this year. Yeah, I think about you know the expectations and with expectations comes a lot of pressure, And when I look at pressure, it's not the guys on the field. Necessarily, I think of, although I'll There's always some pressure element there. I think about the first year offensive coordinator and Todd Downing a guy whose resume isn't loaded with something to believe that. Oh, yeah, This is going to be the guy, but when you have that many weapons inevitably makes your job easier. But truly elite or talented coordinator can take those three pieces and really make it shine, making it nearly impossible for opponents defensively to try and manage that offences he up for the job. I absolutely believe he's up for the job, and you look at when he was with the Raiders. He had a pretty solid season and then followed up with, uh, you know, so so season led to him. Being removed as coordinator. But he's Been around, you know, obviously one, um, staff as a coordinator prior to this, but he's coached tight ends. He's coach quarterback sees he has extensive opportunities as far as working around. Whole offensive group and one of the other things that has impressed me honestly, isn't talking to the different players the details right? They say that he stresses details and talking to him last week. I really like the way this was obviously pre Julio Jones. Great, but I like the way he discussed how they want to take a J. Brown to the next level, and that was by Expanding his route tree, moving them around the formation, helping him recognize coverages. So he knows where he's facing. So these are all good things that Typically are trademarks of a solid coordinator. So I'm not saying they're going to go and break the Rams or Patriots records for offense, But I think this offense will be in good hands with Thai downing and, as he said, it's always easier when you have a guy like Derrick Henry back there. ESPN Titans reporter Turan Davenport with us on the Goodyear hotline. So certainly the acquisition of Julio Jones helps AJ Brown because it makes brown harder to defend against it. There's also I would imagine helps Julio Jones because I would. I mean he's 32 right. We act like 32 so old, but The White House aren't quarterbacks. They're not playing until they're 45 years old in the case of apparently Tom Brady, so he is getting up there. Will the presence of a J brown help Julio Jones age gracefully. Yeah, And that's why I'm so glad you mentioned that because bringing Julio Jones to an offense like what the Titans have. It's only gonna benefit him. Think about it outside of the last couple years with Calvin, really? He never really had A bona fide star. Opposite of them always played in pretty solid play action all offenses, but the Titans last year they faced eight in the box 23% of the time that's tops in the NFL. The Falcons. They faced it 12.5% 16th. So why do I say all that when you stack the box and it's something that you almost have to do when a guy like Derrick Henry is so capable of running through people's faces the way he does and piling up yards. That Korea is one on one matchups on the outside. Now, I don't care 32 years old or not. I'm going to take Julio Jones one on one against most corners, and I for sure will take AJ Brown one on one against most of them also, so those are the type of problems that it creates. Not to mention. You got a guy in Josh Reynolds. You got a rookie and does his Patrick, these are guys that are capable as well. And the thing that really kind of puts a bow around everything. All of these guys are versatile, whereas you could put them at x z or F so you can move them across the formation. You know you're going against the Vikings with Patrick Peterson. Okay, Well, you want to Took one guy away from Patrick Peterson. You just put them inside. And now you know, you're not going to see that matchup, and that tip believes will be advantage tight. Yeah, and that was my biggest takeaway to it. You can put these guys on the slide. Put them on the perimeter. And Dez Fitzpatrick was a guy watched in college who did big things Don't sleep on his ability, along with Reynolds to add even more depth to really where you down, So it's gonna be fun to watch this offense. If you had to, and again, these are projections..

Diana Russini Turan Davenport Derrick Henry Patrick Peterson Dez Fitzpatrick AJ Brown Tom Brady Corey Davis J. Brown Julio Jones Josh Reynolds Patrick Todd Downing 2000 yards 12.5% three pieces 1000 yards Falcons 23% 2000 yard

Allen like i do more of a nose technique but i like the addition there at that juncture of the draft. I honestly don't have much on gallon. Manet but james wiggins is somebody that a lot of people in the draft community spoke really really highly of. I didn't get around too much. Cincinnati defensive tape. But from what i saw he was a fast good athlete. Who had range. Who can monitor the center fielder. He also who two hundred and ten pounds packs a punch and can drop down into the box. And that's kind of somebody who you can really use very versatile manner so i liked that addition there in the seventh round of james wiggins overall. I'd say this is an okay draft. But they probably didn't come away with their number one target at each of the their positions which not everybody ends up doing that. However there were other players at the positions like wide receiver and linebacker and even quarterback where i think there were people that are higher on my specific board that went around that area so it doesn't seem like they may have gotten the most out of this draft but time will tell and i think it's a solid rapid. Nothing overly spectacular. Let's move on to the los angeles rams and look the rams they never have a first round pick. It seems are always trading and making moves less need loves to deal for trump picks and bringing guys look jalen ramsey bringing individuals brandin cooks from the in the past guys who are established that ins and don't really need that development that takes quite a while the second round. Oh man look last year. The van jefferson in the second round last year. Kick out of florida really really talented. Route runner went down to the senior bowl. And lot of people are talking about him. And they had cooper kupp on the roster. They have robert woods. They had josh reynolds but he ended up going to the tennessee. Titans now they bring into shaw jackson and then with their first pick on a team. That just is hurting along the offensive line. were andrew. Whitworth is maybe their best alignment and he's basically the age of methuselah at this point they select another wide receiver and go with tutu atwell but not just a wide receiver a sub five foot ten a hundred and fifty pound wide receiver and some people said one hundred and forty six pounds. At some point. Everyone talks about the size of devante smith but tutu atwell who is explosive. Who has top speed. That is really really eye-popping quick-footed who is a good downfield threat because of how we can stretch the field vertically but man he is small. This is somebody you need to get in your weight room. He needs to eats some. Pb and j. bro. Because he is a tiny guide and the rams went and they selected him in the second round with their first pick and only thing that says to me other than the fact that i know less need loves playmakers logs is they look at matt stafford's ability to push the ball vertically and they are like wow. This is a lot different. Jared goff let stress the defense of all these other. nfc west opponents and let's attack vertically allow those technicians underneath kubrick cop and robber would route technicians to just manipulate coverages. Get opened in one on one situations and you know what if coverage breaks down. You're going to have to to well and one of the most explosive players in the nfl. Flying down the field now. Is this a luxury pick. I don't wanna go that far. Even though i to look like they're picking in the second round here there still often of lyman. That are available that they couldn't necessarily go with and could possibly if not start in year. One definitely help. Replenish the farm system of the los angeles rams off line because i mean to to atwell was picked. Twenty fifth pick at fifty seven overall in the draft and right before terrence marshall who's a bigger type wide receiver. So they wanted more speed type of guy that you still had create humphrey in the board. You still had josh meyers on the board. The ohio state. Senator and create humphries center from oklahoma. You still had some really really solid here. Who could come in and compete and possibly win. Jobs jalen mayfield. Who's a developmental offense lineman from michigan. I mean brady christiansen. The often tackle from byu. I guess you can say. They made the strength stronger adding a wide receiver. They're allocating some more priority. Picks to their offensive line. May help matt stafford more. Because i got so used to running for his life with the lyons. I'm not sure if they wanted to be doing that now that he is on the rams so it's going to be interesting to see how sean mcvay us. I'm sure he has a really really saad plan to do so. Let's see if it's actually effective and let's see if that will hold up against some of these. Nfl hits being some one hundred and sixty pounds which is incredibly small and in the third round with ernest jones the linebacker out of south carolina and then in the fourth round they had two picks on bobby brown the third texas a an md. The tackle robert rochelle central arkansas quarterback in they actually another fourth-round picks three fourth round picks jacob harris ucf wide receiver in the fifth ernest brown northwestern defensive end an had three seventh round picks jake funk maryland running back ben sclerotic notre dame wide receiver and chris. Garrett concordia saint paul outside linebacker so ernest jones. Somebody who is good effort type of player. Come down hill. He executes his run fits well sorta reminded me of a little bit of a better version of tj brunson from everything that i saw and the rams needed some help at the linebacker position because they end up bringing back leonard. Floyd that's more of a edge type of player but then on the inside was playing behind aaron donald. They had the fifth round pick out of virginia. Mike parsons back. In two thousand eighteen troy reader who they got in two thousand nineteen justin holland's kenny young but nobody who actually seizing this job and i think ernest jones can step in and possibly upgrade over mike. Kaiser thing about jones's he's not overly athletic. He's from what i've seen of south carolina's defense. He's good at his own coverage really really aggressive coming downhill. They guy alluded to man coverage may not be his bread and butter. But i think at the third round you needed to target that position. That's not a terrible edition. So i'm not going to sit there and knock it bobby brown who they ended up getting the fourth round is just a really really solid size length. Speed up field bursts type of guy. So i think he's just has a lot of different things working for him coming from texas and program remember. They had just a matter bouquet. Who ended up going to the ravens. I think it was in twenty twenty might have been two thousand nineteen but he reminds me some bobby brown minds me a little matter bouquet or maybe a little bit stronger at the point of attack a little bit bigger matter bouquets. A little bit more today. Quick lateral agility type of player brown. He's somebody who can possibly rush the passer on in passing situations despite the fact that he's three hundred and twenty pounds and he's good in one on one situations as a run defender taking on double teams is something that he can develop. Maybe he's an anchor down just a little bit more but you add him next to aaron donald and he can use his lateral quickness to and is just sheer size to to take advantage of one match which is going to see plenty of playing next to eric. Donald robert rochelle incredible athlete. Coming from a really small program in central. Arkansas went down as senior bowl talking about who is going to be a second round pick and he didn't practice all that much. The senior books ended up getting her every time he was out there. He was just getting toasted but he has long arms. He's a really really good athlete. Just needs to be a little bit more disciplined and he needs to handle speed better because he was at the senior bowl just a short half a practice that ended up doing. He was really struggling with those speedy receivers because he hadn't seen that yet because he played at central arkansas. So i think this is just a high developmental. Pick who gets to learn behind jalen ramsey similar to brown learn behind aaron donald and the rest of the draft is nothing necessarily to write home. About in my estimation. I mean the rams really really rely on hitting on these dates picks these fourth fifth seventh round picks six round but they didn't have any picks in the six round in this really really do because they don't rely on those first round picks have no issue similar to the seattle seahawks trading..

"To this him. Get him to a place in your rankings. Were dinsdale mims josh reynolds. Jamison crowder christian kirk and marquez valdes scantling and jalen reagor all sit atop the rankings for mr ty l. or thirty two nfl teams. And so let's say you take twice that and there are sixty four wide receivers of note. He's not one of them. According to my so mike splaine yourself. I really like here and and ty on in here. I'm on it. I like the The stat in here for you to just to see the other side of the argument of you know we started slow from week twelve. He was the wide receiver eight. Okay that's great houston. Let's look at weeks one through eleven where. Ty was the wide receiver eighty nine eighty nine. He had fewer fantasy points than allen. Lazard who at that point of the season had played four games. He had fewer fantasy points. Then danny amendola through eleven weeks of the season guys. he's gonna be. It's gonna turn thirty two this year. The injuries are already becoming a problem. We now have two years in a row of t. y. hilton or ti. Houston how we we've dubbed him on the show two years ago place houston again right Yeah he will he will goodness twice and he's averaged fifty yards game for two years in a row that super dynamic. Incredible electric t. y. hilton. He's he has aged out of that. It was. I think a struggle for him and free agency before he. He went back with the colts and last year he was last year. Was averaging the fifty yards a game and was with philip rivers. Who despite what jason thinks. At least last year philip rivers was not washed. Philip rivers was still a fine player and now carson wentz is coming in maybe carson wentz's okay but last year before carson wentz was benched you know for not being good they said you're not trying to which argument are you making your you slipping into a carson winston. Well that's part of it. I mean carson wentz's is slated to be his quarterback at least for half of a season before he probably gets benched again for for being bad but anyways carson wentz was averaging two hundred zero in mud pies over there two hundred thirty one passing yards per game that would be in seventeen games under four thousand yards in seventeen games. That's ho- riffing. That is not going to get anything done for fantasy purposes. You take that production. You take a t. y. Hilton whose production has completely fallen off in the last two years. And i just i de you are setting a draft. Pick on fire t. y. Hilton will absolutely have two to three games this year. Where you go. Oh yeah t y. Hilton these back. He's going in my fantasy of. Oh thanks thanks for taking the next week. Not why so. I am. ot at redeye currently at wide receiver sixty eight. And i think. I'm being generous. Probably right but it does. He play any other texas teams like anywhere close to houston because maybe it's proximity. Maybe plays like a dallas cowboys. Here let me talk. Negative about p. river police Philip rivers was fine. He was fined for the annapolis colts. He really was He he's a smart hall of fame. Queer the debatable friend. I'm stephanie. how much did that hurt. You did it. I mean i didn't. I regret it. The moment that i even started the phrase but his mind is great. His football iq is off the charts. But philip rivers especially. Last year's philip rivers is just. I mean check down. Seven point seven yards per attempt so t y hilton does not match. Philip rivers. t. Y hilton is down there on the other side of the field where philip rivers. Can't throw the ball to just didn't match up and we did see enough explosion at the end of his age. Thirty one season at least say maybe he's not wash. What was the yards per attempt yards per attempt. Passing was seven point seven So is that higher or lower than six point zero. That is much higher than six point. Is that higher lower than six point. Seven sir higher okay. that's carson the last two years. But here's here's a deal on the on that what you have to realize is that when carson wentz has thrown the ball down the field he has had nobody who can go get it and so i believe i mean we've seen right isn't that the criticism on carson wentz like when he should check it down he just wants to try to launch it. It's one of many and so you know. Ty hilton's come out and this offseason. He's he's literally said it's really nice to have someone who can give me the ball down the field again so regardless of what's happened in the past what's happening right now is he is saying that philip rivers couldn't and carson wentz currently is we don't know if he is look i i said mike's probably right but what i have a hard time doing is figuring out where the passing volume goes in indianapolis you can talk about philip rivers tendencies. Ty hilton's problems led the team in targets by a wide margin last year. I mean that's who he was. He's still there number one and they said hey we liked it so much. Bring you back for another year. Pittman didn't show me volume getting paris. Camelback break. I'm not gonna project him to lead the team in targets so fantasy value aside still cannot imagine t y hilton doesn't lead the team in targets. That's that's one hundred percent effect. But to mike's point here this is an. Aj green situation is wash jersey. Knock a degree now. one hundred. Four targets edgy. Green had plenty of opportunity to be good fancy football last year. It doesn't matter when the wheels fall off the wheels fall off. So if you want to avoid t y hilton in your draft. I'm on board. You just got you have to decide. I think he's still got juice left. I don't and then you either get value. Or you're burning one of your one of your picks and f g. So i would say just decide if you believe. He's still has it or not mike. Let's talk to jason for a moment and let's talk about his courtland sutton number. Nineteen overall ranking. He's being adp drafted or his adp is twenty nine th right now i have on a value i have a huge problem with this ranking I mean this is like you've gone benedict arnold on jerry. Jeudy over here yeah. This ranking is a direct personal deep. Cutting insult to my back. I have a. I have a huge problem because courtland sutton did break out. It wasn't that spectacular of a season by way of fantasy finish. He had no competition. Nineteen right that's pretty good. I said spectacular. Didn't i might was not the white house on this number nine spectacular to you know. Say that like terry. Maclaurin was spectacular. Finish in the twenty last year. Twenty three or something. No but i would say that nineteen is very good. I don't think that you were exceptionally happy. Each and every week with sutton's breakout season. Let's pull it. Let's take a look eleven hundred and six. This guy is a police. Eleven hundred and six. You're going to see forty five guys do that this year. Eighteen people do more than that the year finish at nineteen. That's right and tough so so we'll talk about. Let's talk about courtland sutton if you remember last year and i i know you get to talk but i'm setting the table because i want to remember something that we talked about. He was awful withdrew. Luck wants drew. Lock came in after joe flacco. He was terrible fifty six forty one fifty one forty five. That was the worry coming into last year. Injury wiped out the year. Jerry jeudy caja hamler great defense so i think nineteen is is aggressive i do. I think it's very aggressive for coming back from an acl with other weapons. Sure i mean you can ask is drew lock. Good enough is teddy. Bridgewater good enough. Those are questions as fantasy managers. We have to ask..

"Fitzpatrick. Let's see if we agree on this next player. I'm a. I'm a little higher on this guy too. So it's a mad rod- saint brown from the lions usc. Yeah he's a player. I like them a committee. He's very similar in a situation fitzpatrick you know he's gonna come in And i mean there's really not much competition for them. You know pyramid tirol williams. Yeah and i liked terra. Williams pyramids pray. He's okay you know. Those guys might actually be more talented than a Brown but they're also. Canada beat up players through their careers. And i don't really expect neither one of them to hold up you know. And it wouldn't be shocked if They're also very different. Style player that ahmad brad. I think my bracket can be a good underneath slide guy and whereas i i don't typically like sly guys you know where we were talking about driving with the second round when you're talking about getting guy the third round of a rookie draft you know that's cool because these guys are good. Probably get on the field and You know i like him. I just don't know what his long term value is. Because i would assume that the detroit lions are going to upgrade their their wide receiver positions at some point. One of the things that saint has gone for him as he has. More of a complete body work in college. Played six games. Forty one receptions for four hundred seventy eight yards seven touchdowns pretty good for six games. Last season seventy seven receptions thousand forty two yards six touchdowns season before that as a freshman sixty receptions seven hundred fifty yards and three touchdowns. So i was pretty impressed with his stats. So for that reason. I like him. But as cow saying am i gonna adjust him over bateman more those allies more either. The moore's no. I'm not gonna drop them over that but if he falls i will take a look at him because i think the saints brown is stepping into a situation that scrape for him and this is what i. This is what. I come back to saint bad and i. I know that these two receivers aren't necessarily the most similar by keep coming back to kenny. Golladay when he first went till lines. We'll see third fourth round pick. Also he came down where there was a genuine Where there was opportunity for him to be the number one receiver in the And he took advantage of that. That opportunity and same opportunity has been presented to saint brown. I don't think this same brown is as talented as golladay. But i think that that is close to the ceiling. Distinct brown house. That would which is why. I'm high him and in that aspect but low but there's also an equally as likely chance that saint brown is just never going to be able to send to wide receiver one

"I got two teams in mind. The first one is the Atlanta Falcons. I think that there's a possibility he's not going to be traded and this whole story goes away. The Falcons are obviously interested in shopping him around, but I would imagine they want something decent in return for him. The other team that I'm really I actually happens to be the Tennessee Titans. Yes, they had that connection to Arthur Smith there in Atlanta. They know him well, But the other thing about the Titans is that They need a lot of help at wide receiver. I mean, they lost story. Davis. They lost Johnny Smith, the tight end in free agency who was a very versatile guy who even played running back for them. At times. He was incredible. But I mean, you look at the draft of what the Titans did there as well. I mean, they didn't take a receiver until it's something like the fifth pick. On bit was it was a receiver. They traded 1/5 and seventh pick four Dead Fitzpatrick out of Louisville. He was a guy that almost reached out our CBS NFL draft writers had him going a full round later on in there must dress And then they took racing McMath out of L. A seal a guy who hasn't caught more than 17 balls in any season during his collegiate time with the Tigers, so The Chinese. All they did was find Josh Reynolds from the Los Angeles Rams. I like that signing. I think he has potential, but it's not a given that he's going to be the number two wide receiver for Ryan Tannehill across from a J. Brown, so I think the Titans really need to make a move that wide receiver it's Julio Jones is being shot. That's kind of where my eye goes to one. Follow him on Twitter. He's fun. You'll have white claws right there at Jordan's Johnny Jordan. We thank you for the time, buddy. All the best. Any time can appreciate them. Yes, sir. George Johnny joining us CBS Sports NFL writer. That's not a shot. By the way. I don't mind White clause. I don't I don't believe in shaming men for drinking white closets Weird. You drink what you want. You want to don't double sea breeze. ARN Anderson has double sea breeze. You're gonna go tell ARN Anderson. You would say something and make a joke about ARN Anderson. So what you gonna do? Didn't think so. You drink all the white claw. You want responsibly? Man. Woman doesn't matter. I don't care. Not my thing. But if it's Jordan's thing he likes to get on the boat likes to have a couple of white claw You go ahead. You do it, man. You go ahead and you do it. Knock yourself out past yourself out, doesn't matter. 855 to 1 to four. CBS I'm about. I'm thriving right now about Jimmy Garoppolo..

We're back on Monday and we'll tell you, which team in the MBA playing tournament is most likely to win a first round. Serious key shot J Will Anjuman Monday morning on ESPN radio. Let's get to you for your pick for the veteran who most benefited after the draft, and I'll be real quick on this, but I have a J. Brown. I was really pleased to be able to see that and by pleased. I mean, I would love to have more weapons for Ryan Tannehill be able to have, but the Titans did not draft the wide receiver until the sixth round. No offense to Josh Reynolds, but they did not really add anyone and they lost. Corey Davis, Johnny Smith, Adam Humphreys, Khalif Raymond. That's 207 targets that have now vacated that Offense. When you look at what age a Brown did last year, it just over 100 targets. This is a guy that I definitely feel like It's going to see a Davante Adams type workload and he could see 150 160 175 targets. This year as that main guy, Derrick Henry a. J. Brown like he is someone from me. I have moved him up to wide receiver. Four. I believe, And so he's someone that I definitely feel like, could be. I mean, I would not be shocked if a J. Brown was wide receiver one at the end of the season with the workload that he is going to get based on how the Titan's hand of the draft well, said Daniel, I certainly hope they saturated with all of the targets. Let's move down a roundtable question Number two and the prompt his name a veteran player, You're fading as a result of the draft happening, so the inverse of question one instead. Yeah, Let's start with you as always. Who you think it Melvin Gordon. I think Joe Monte Williams going to the Broncos. It was kind of the same something without saying something. Broncos like the physical run game on I think with Melvin Gordon's injury history and just aging running back in the NFL, they wanted someone who could compliment him. I think it's ultimately a great move for Denver. I just think for fantasy purposes, it's going to be messy for us. Would agree on that Vontae Williams really talented guy out of North Carolina. Obviously, Norman Gordon still has his full salary guaranteed for this upcoming year, so one would think he sticks around and number but it works shares not what you're looking for Matthew again. You being the beacon of creativity that you are also took both mind and Daniel Daniel's answer. So why do you go ahead? Speak for us. Would be my pleasure, you know, And honestly, I think that's what America's choices is for me to speak for you guys at all times on every subject. Honestly, look, look, just because it's obvious doesn't mean it's not true. And it's James Robinson, right? I mean that Z biggest answer, right? So James Robinson, who you know from the rectory for the record. Um Went. I thought James Robinson, too, but I didn't want to still feel them Daniels and because the final has respect for the process integrity did you scroll down on that list to see what other people had collected? Stefania? Is that how you knew? Shoes last do our world. Wow. Wow. Okay s so by that point, you know, I actually did my work before I went on the list, and then I checked to see if somebody else had done it. It was like one person. Maybe I'd do it. But if it was like 50, then I tried to stay away. Okay, 50. But then I thought, OK, so I could either like again. This is have done this exercises. I could either. Like, um like, change my answer. Like right, like, say something I don't believe to give a different aim. Or do you just give the you know? Or do you just, you know, answer it Honestly. So I decided my honestly who's the better player that I'm fading of result of draft happenings? That was the actual question, And the answer is obviously James Robinson is the guy who was in top five fantasy running back coming to the season. I'm sorry after last year, this is somebody who had like insane volume last year, right? They had. I'm sorry, had the seventh most fantasy points among all running backs, right? And so, But a lot of that was due to just his insane, insane volume and I was already gonna pay them a little bit because I didn't think he was gonna get that kind of volume with Carlos Hyde. They're both sides, you know, Still surprised..

"Leflore wondering like what are they doing taking edgy dylan. Around number two. It just kind of struck me watching. Aaron jones that in the passing game. I'm like you know what he looks. Like alvin kamara out there. So i thought okay maybe they wanna like a one to pocket ingram camera and i think that's i think that's good. I think that's what they're doing in In green bay. I i like it i think. Aj dylan is really intriguing. Again non pbr. You're look great Pr though is upside is capped. You know what's interesting. I remember being talking to the new orleans coaches on the field before the game. The game they were getting mark ingram back from suspension. Remember what it was suspended for. But he was suspended or heard or something right. Yeah mark ingram couple of years ago and they were so happy because they were so scared of overusing chimaera. Chimaera getting hurt. When ingram wasn't there they liked to use chimera on third down. They let us compare in the passing game and they were almost like nervous every game without ingram it was. They were nervous. Kamera wasn't gonna be able to hold up. You're gonna get hurt. They were so happy when ingram was coming back. I feel like that's probably where the packers are where it's like. They know how good jones's they don't want to overuse them. They wanted to critical passing plays and they wanted to be fresh in january totally and we have seen that he has been fresh in january so my numbers for him were almost exactly the same as last year. Two hundred and five carries for nine hundred ninety five rushing yards but again that sixty sixty one grabs so yeah two hundred and sixty touches actually even projected a missing two games which he did so. Apparently i'm the aaron jones i got. I got this a lockdown right now all right so wide receivers. We talked about corey. Davis galore at of these other moves. Gimme one that you feel strongly about either positively or negatively. Aj green arizona. Marvin jones jacksonville emmanuel sanders buffalo. And sean jackson going back back to kelly kelly keeling and where the jets yes. Here's a fantasy passed. By the way. I lo- i told you about keelan cole. And four years ago he was undrafted piece of whatever from some score. Can't remember this guy's good this guy. I don't know why they don't give him the ball more. I think he separates against man coverage. Better.

"I don't get too crazy about the quarterbacks you guys know. I have no issue drafting quarterbacks late. I'm not there early quarterback kind of guy. It's not my thing. I understand if it is your thing. That's fine i'd rather find value elsewhere. It's too volatile for me. The guy who's the best quarterback last year could be the fifth. Sixth seventh eighth best next season is just not my thing. So i do tend to draft quarterbacks late malate quarterback kinda guy And so you know in those leagues. Don't you're not ever gonna care about marcus. Mariota or joe flacco. Because you're never have to use them. The league's not deep enough in terms of quarterbacks. Ever have to worry about it you know. Even the starters were to get hurt. You probably still wouldn't need these guys. Is that kind of situation in those leagues but in super flex it's a different ball game and in those leagues super flexi marcus mariota and joe flacco should be on rosters no question. They deserve to be drafted. If there if you're gonna start a draft or superplex someone's rostrum these guys. You can go. Choir them for the cheap because their backups to everybody But as he reflects you know it's gonna be a little more difficult just because of the fact that that team who who's roster and now knows that. Hey if their cards injured or jalen hurts gets injured. These guys are the ones that are going to step in. I'm you know. I'm more excited. Marcus mariota rather than joe flacco. Joe flacco fan. Even if jalen hurts was to get hurt. I really wouldn't joe flacco. I'd hope that haven't better option but margaritas more exciting to me. Because when derek carr got injured and marietta played that game he looked good. He'll good was he perfect. No they look good. He brought totally different. You know Ability to the offense and totally different attack to the offense. And i liked it. So i'm not going to ignore either. One of these is a marcus. Mariota focuses if you're in a superplex league if you're not gonna worry about it This is for superfly answers but outside of injury neither one of these guys see the field so this is nothing where you're going to hear you. I'm gonna throw a starter to get mariota. Nah so that kind of game mariota's qbr like the other thing about dicey you thinking about what these guys donald flacco but again mariota. He's a free agent xidan. Which indac- leagues. I wouldn't ignore it. I really emotional crazy. But i don't think mariota's back quarterback i think he gets another chance i do. I think he could have got another chance this season. If the if he was staying with the raiders like he's better than any dalton. I think he is. I believe he is. And i believe team. If they're going to sign any daltons that some of these other guys that against sign they would start. Amac marcus mariota. He would fight his way to the job. Trust me trust me. So if you're he's not a bag out of have even outside of the backup quarterback thing freezing neck sees is not going to be behind car for long so he's not but he's not a bad move bad not a bad strategy. You could do worse than your team if you do worse things. Are you the other things you could be doing. That are way worse and this is just to stay active in the off season team. Fresh keep moving pieces around these these account places you look you. Look for my davis. Is you look for the josh reynolds. You look for the marcus mariota. Those are the moves that are easy to make know in the offseason while people were sleeping behind the wheel or people aren't excited about them because they're thinking about the players that are coming into the draft the rookies or they're thinking about the free agent. You know stud star signs a word yet. A follow on social media. Clock dodgers twitter instagram. Subscribe to the podcast. Scribes always be kind be great.

"If if they let William Jackson get away that they're gonna have to start looking at bit finding another starting corner, a slot corner is definitely On the shopping list and free agency, and then you just start doing in pieces. I don't I'm gonna take a third wide receiver would be out of the question. That guy like Josh Reynolds, who played for Zach in L. A Could be an affordable guy that they could go after they've got money toe to do some things in free agency. I don't think it's going to be a typical year for the Bangles where we just see them sitting on a ticking over leftovers on the third wave of free agency J. Morrison with us from the athletic Once again, you can follow J at J. Morrison a th A. J. If they stay at number five. Overall, they're going to get a great player and I've had discussions with other beat writers about this. I like offense. Other people like defense Man, Do you have a feel for what you think or under an opinion on where they might go in five? Um, I don't. I don't think they know yet because they are so they're still trying to, you know, get caught up from last year and then they were getting to know all the senior Bowl players. Once I got back in the Senior Bowl, they really do have been the free agency. Um, it's it is literally Paul options on the table except for quarterback, But I did a mock draft this week. I've got him taking Jamaar Chase that they stay. Put it five today. Sewell was off off the board on my mock draft. So I had him going with Chase the wide receiver. Um I could see a trade back being in the in the works there to go back. Your You gonna have a lot of teams eager to move up and get a quarterback? And if the Bengals could drop back 34 spots pick up an extra second round pick, and then maybe they could take were Sean Slater, the tackle from Northwestern. I think that's an option. I don't think defense is on the table for the fifth overall pick that if they move back, maybe maybe they grab a starting corner there if they lose, Will Jackson? Yeah, that's some good stuff and definitely agree there because there are a handful of tackles that you can get just a little bit later on, man that'll Wow. Which Amar Chase make, uh job, Earl. Happy. Wow. Yeah. I mean, what was the one hole in his game? This shit the deep ball, and he threw 20 touchdown passes. Jamaar Chase and 2019. Those two had an incredible connection on deep balls. I just Wide receiver may not be their biggest Neary of need right now. But if you could bring that guy in and hooked him up with Joe Burrow, and they re establish that connection and get the deep ball going and you got Tyler Boyd in the slot and got T hurt Higgins Urging is the number one job makes him comes back. This offense could really be something special. Yeah, and to get some guys healthy on defense, you're Yeah, And that's one thing that Marvin Lewis always talked about. Didn't he? Fear of the deep ball man that would have a defensive coordinator up nights worried about that? Yeah, and we've seen the Bangles get burned. On that day they give these He's had some miscommunications in that secondary. They'll be plugging along doing really well, then, all sudden, 40 50 yard ball over the top, and it just it changes everything. You can. You can move the ball. That's one thing. But if you can, if you can have that deep threat, or you can score immediately that just totally changes the game plan for any office and J When Frank Polich got hired back, is the offensive line coach with also the title of run game coordinator. Gosh Joe Mixon, when absolutely not sauna on Twitter loving it. Yeah. I mean, speaking from experience, he worked with Frank and 2018. A Billy Price was thrilled when they branded prank. Polic is a big reason. Billy prices here and I know being with fans aren't aren't Super thrilled with what Billy Price has become, but this is a chance for it's gonna chance for him to kind of rejuvenate his career. And that they all were really excited. Trey Hopkins to all the guys that were here that have experience working under Frank Polich love this higher. And you just have to be. Oh, you have to trust them on this. They worked with the guy day in and day out for a year, and I think they were ready for a change. I think Jim Turner. His military style worn a little thin with with this group, and I think the business is going to be a really good fresh start, not just for the offensive line because it further run game as a whole. Where are you going to be watching the Super Bowl and what's on the menu will be on my count. I have not been to a Super Bowl party since Tom Brady won his first Super Bowl attended to Ram Back in 2001. I'd prefer to stay home I don't want I don't want people talking about commercials and anything other than the game. I just want to focus on the game and we'll be buffalo chicken dip that my wife will be making for me. And maybe some skyline did was well, fantastic. I'm gonna leave you with this quote because I was doing some research on pro football reference dot com. We all know that six quarterbacks went ahead of Brady in 2000 combined..

"It's on Westwood one. 21 yard line is for the Rams will start trailing 25 to 10 7 26 remaining in the third. James Loft and Rams defense got what they needed. They gotta stop after giving up some yardage. Now can they convert this opportunity into 0.79 yards away from the inside and the Packers in that last drive or very aggressive during the ball deep three times. Let's see if the Rams counter trying deep against the Packers, three receivers left to the line. Go off start in the air, low throw going down to get it at 25 yard line Is Van Jefferson very similar to his touchdown catch very low, had to go down to the turf to pull it in. The 25 picks up four. Yeah, but that one was 74 yards away from the end zone Yet you do not get six points for that catch but a very similar play and four yards. The result of that touchdown to Wei thought the ranch would be aggressive, throwing the ball at the end of the half. Kept handy. It cam acres. He was aggressive, running the football. Second six of 25 golf to the sideline awards with the catch and then falls forward, lunging the ball out with both arms to the 32 picks up seven and that will be a ram's first out. So Los Angeles moves the chains to the 31 yard line. Nice quick, passing my golf. Get the ball out of your hands. Now you've had a couple of past rushes bythe. Packer's defense. Get the ball in your hands again. Quickly. Shotgun staff the golf on first down Open receiver of the 48 yard line connects on that left sideline with Josh Reynolds. That'll be another first down. No, mark him out of the 47. It's a pick up of 15 at a first down for Los Angeles. There ran picking up their pace just a little bit. They're retreating to the huddles. But they are ready to go. Assuming they got the line and get it snapped in built. Let the Packers make those adjustments to the coverage by way of alignment. Shotgun snap to go off on first down three man pack A rush throws into traffic and catch made at the 49 of Green Bay by Tyler Higbee A four yard game But you're right, James. They get up to the line. And his golf gets up there. This ball snapped immediately. Here. They get set to receivers left single to the right golf in the shotgun, arms outstretched. Here comes the snap. Packers Rush five throws to the left sideline once with the catch and would still go out of bounds near the 43 yard line of Green Bay. Very close. First down for the rain's gonna be just short. It'll be third and inches inside the 44 yard line. They'll market on the left cash. 5 38 remaining third quarter rams down 25 to 10 crowd trying to make it rough. On Jared golfer. The crowd has been a factor of times today for golf. Robert Woods is in the game. It's carried the ball 25 times during the course of the regular season play action on third and short golf for throwing. He throws to a diving van Jefferson Crossing the middle of the field from left to right. Got to the right side and low throw is snared 16 yards on the pick up That's a ram's first out that jet sweet motion behind the line of scrimmage with Robert Woods and linebackers step up. You're allowed through right behind him on the play Action. Three receivers left too wide to the right and time out's going to be used. Green Bay. A little frustration on the Packers.

"R I Where Corey, your marketplace of 9 47 Yard Drive. 5 46 off the clock. Remember? The drive started with excellent field position after a penalty on a hunt that gave the Packers good field position. They cash in. And now Mason Crosby after a missed extra point, thanks to a bad snap is on to kick this one off symbol Webster let it bounce on the Essen Packers to the end zone to our right. And through for the touch back on Now, with 3 29 remaining until halftime. Los Angeles Rams down 16 to 3 have had 13 total offensive plays to the Packers 34 They take over at the 25 in desperate need of points before halftime. Kevin We saw it during the commercial break, but the trainers were attending to Mason Crosby in there with him again now, so Maybe a concern for this game and also from moving forward 50 with the great season when Mason Crosby had for the package you got hit on that attempted shovel pass on the extra point, Ms and on, first down, this is Acres tries the right side, and Akers gets five to the 30 yard line. Dean Lowry. Former Northwestern Wildcats, the first to contact the rookie from Florida State critical drive here relatively early in the ballgame, even though we're getting close to the two minute warning, but for the Rams to maintain possession to get a couple of first downs not immediately kicked the ball back to the Packers, and they're taking their time getting in and out of the huddle, making sure that they have Right play called second and five at the 30 Josh Reynolds motion to the left side, half two receivers to the left of golf was under center down. 16 3 on second five acres again occurred gaping hole in the left side. He breaks a tackle of the 35. He's got a first down to the 41 yard line. That's an 11 yard pop. Cam Acres who had 131 yards last week in the win over Seattle in the wild card games, and 90, also conservative called, But like I said, wanting to get that first down now, the Rams who are so good at play action and boots, I would expect something like that right here. Mm. Break the huddle with 2 18 remaining in his first half from the 41 Yard line of Los Angeles. First down and 10 2 receivers stacked to the right side Acres is the single back motion across from right to left from Robert Woods Acres to carry again trying to bounce it to the left side and acres pushes the pile with a 45 Adrian Amos. First man there, the former Chicago Bear now Green Bay Packer. Makes the stop after a four yard pick up as we have reached the two minute warning sponsored.

"You missed out a medieval times john. I was the night before bowling right and then you were the night after medieval times and what i hear you made the apps you're like who is it lauren hill that does concerts and shows up an hour and a half late and sings for ten thousand leaves that was you i was there on time then i was like kaiser soza and you're gone which isn't a bad move but they did get one very good picture of you in a what looks depite dr yeah medieval garb and they actually gave me a mace <hes> so venice mason amazed by the way big question today. Is this straight edge mace or or is this venice mace girl in the straight edge. The guy in the back is yelling. Venice mace which basically is is whether or not mason shows up stoned but i think you had to drive straight edge medicines straight edge mace someday. I'll do a show where orig- venice mace and everybody will invite be invited to see exactly how stupid i am actually make the show better yeah hey so. Are you gonna watch the ram game tomorrow night yeah. I'm gonna watch what are you watching for. The rams are are not gonna play any of the starter correct so what your but your big ram fan yep like. I said i watch most of the charger game last night. Actually the chargers looked okay. They lost but they played a lot of backups so the rams are gonna play nothing but back right. What are you watching four. What are you interested in well number. One is <hes> darryl henderson the running back out of memphis who's going to get <hes> reps tomorrow night and who i think because gonna figure into the offense this year in a little background on him. He averaged almost seven yards of touch right at memphis and he's the person i've heard him. Most compared to is darren sprains. He's a very fast third down back who can both run and catch yeah so i wanna see what he looks like because i think with the rams a ah given how todd girlies knee is sort of a question mark. I like malcolm brown. A lot and i want to see what darrell henderson's got in the secondary. I'm looking for taylor rap wrap. Who i think is gonna play tomorrow night. Taylor app is a safety who is gonna be eric. Wells backed up and it's going to see i think significant time this year so i wanna see taylor rap out of washington and then i wanna see actually i'm kind of curious. See blake bortles yeah. I wonder how much he's going to play but that is an upgrade jeered garbage upgrade. Your golf for a young guy has not missed much time once he was given that starting job. I don't think he's mr mr start yet and the amount of time sean manion played as goths backup or very limited but blake bortles is a series blake bortles a former top five picking the n._f._l. Ralph experience right and so i think by the way who's the third string quarterback brandon allen so he's gonna play tonight yeah tomorrow night but i'm expecting to see bortles last year. Manion played a lot it preseason and <music>. I'm expecting to see bortles so bortles henderson. Who is the texas am receiver lesser. Josh miranda reynolds he could play you know a lot of people think that josh josh reynolds is is going to be an impact either share. They've got really four receivers to go to they've got robber woods and obviously brandin cooks and cooper cup and josh reynolds is going to be a guy who figures into the offense.
