"Developments in the Brandon Miller story, the mother. Of the shooting victim has spoken out to USA Today in an article written by Josh Peter, to Carla cotton, said it's unimaginable that Alabama allowed Brandon Miller to play the day after law enforcement officials testified that Miller delivered the gun to kill cotton's 23 year old daughter. I'll go through this quickly not to read the whole thing, but still she went on to say, it's just unimaginable. And it's like his life is just going on. He took a brief pause and it didn't stop. It's like, okay, slap on the wrist. And go play ball more in the article. She went on to say they're worried about his career, but what about this 5 year old boy? He's the true victim in all of this. He won't have a mother anymore to influence his growing up and who's he going to be. Cotton went on to say, it should have been clear to Miller that the gun could result in violence. The gun, of course, belonged to miles. She went on offering more to USA Today saying, when somebody says, bring a gun to them, what do you think they're going to do with it? And if there was no gun, she would not be dead. Harris's stepfather, delvin heard, said the handling of the situation by Alabama basketball coach, NATO, has been, quote unquote, God awful. Herd said crossed the line Tuesday when he said Miller had been at the wrong spot at the wrong time. Said heard in relation to what NATO said later, the retraction meant nothing to us because over this 5 week period he has made a habit of making reckless statements. When I say reckless, I mean statements not considering the victim in this whole thing, which is Jamaica Harris. That article just breaking from USA Today. Let's get back to the calls here. And rob is in Wisconsin. Hey rob, welcome to our show. Thanks, Tom. I just want to start out by saying thanks to you, you and your show is a big part of the reason why a guy like me born and raised in Chicago 20 years living in Wisconsin is an avid SEC fan. So thank you and for this show today and regarding what you just read and the point you made earlier about the question really related to why did they let Brandon Miller play and what did they know when? In coach oats initial bumbling statements a few days ago to me, he released a very painful truth in this that needs to be considered. I can't recollect verbatim what he said, but if I think you may recall when he was bumbling in his description of the situation and the impact that it would have he mentioned that, well, you know, Brandon being in the right place the wrong time obviously that's something that the NBA scouts will be considering. It was something to that degree and I know it because I was I didn't even really want to watch it because I was so taken aback by how he was not addressing the situation with support from the university and the manner he should have and that when I heard that that really struck me. And what it tells us is what they knew and when is in the reality on the one hand you say to yourself in the reality of the NIL world, they sat there and they said, we got them for one year or the draft at any age. We've got them for one year. We've got to make this run. That has to be part of it, but the other question is and I think you kind of touched on this at all is like this is not just a problem that's indicative of something in society in the last 6 months. Earlier on the other shows you are on that you showed highlights of et cetera. No, granted, it was not something to any degree as heinous as what we're dealing with now, but I think if people will recollect when Bobby Knight first got himself in a stew over his comments to women about what if rape is inevitable, laid back and enjoy it. Right. Everyone said the same thing in essence of what's going on, why is he still continuing to coach? And it's hard the painful truth is back then, those people in Indiana, the regions and everyone else were no different than what led to coach oat saying, well, we know NBA scouts will take this into consideration. They're thinking about what athletics does for the school. And that's the painful truth in this. I'll hang up and let you go on with the show. I appreciate you taking my call. Rob, thank you. Thank you very, very much for calling. Nicholas, who's up next. Hey, Nicholas, you are on the air. Hi, Paul. Thanks. First time long time. Thank you very much. I do agree that there was an unfortunate rush to judgment. I'm concerned now that it seemed the pendulum seems to maybe be going too far the other way, like almost like he had absolutely no and I'm not talking about criminal at all. Let's leave criminal completely out of it. But like he it's almost now like and by the way, let's assume that the lawyers statement was truthful as far as it went. That doesn't mean it is a extremely sanitized and leaves out, obviously, a ton of details, but I can't personally believe that he was driving all over Tuscaloosa. With no idea that he had a gun in his car. And if he was driving around that whole time without knowing there was a gun in his car, what was his reaction afterwards? It wasn't he enraged that a teammate had done that to him. And when his car is being shot at, I'm in a pose or question to everyone because I don't know the answer, but I've had people tell me that somebody told me this morning. You would be amazed how many students have guns at this university. I don't know the answer to that. And the only reason I bring that up is that maybe maybe it isn't surprising. Let me let you continue with your point, but I just, I'm curious for people who may know that answer. Right. But, you know, but then you add in it's not three 30 in the afternoon. It's one 30. I assume he knows that there is has been drinking, nobody has asked how many drinks Brandon had that night or nobody, I assume he knew Darius had been drinking. So there's just all the and by the way, nobody's talking about Jayden Bradley, who also was a, he's a mystery mystery man and all this. Right. And I don't want to I mean, Miller did have, I mean, he was absolutely unbelievable last night.

"At the venue like it almost seems like Trump's not even at the venue. It's something about this is all very weird and two warriors power. Very exciting, isn't it? Huh? Very exciting. Note. Two Great fighters, ones a box. Sure, though, the others Yeah, All right. So there's Trump's analysis that, uh, this is just embarrassing and again. The world's laughing at all of it, and it's what are people thinking? What are people thinking? One other little aspect of this that I did want to touch on which starts to actually go over the line into the politically absurd? Let's talk about that next. So okay. I already told you 20th anniversary of 9, 11. Bush Clinton Biden Obama, They went to different events. George W. Bush gave an interesting speech that contained some propaganda but also accurately kind of drew a line between the 9 11 terrorists and the trump rioters of January 6th. And we've talked about that. As I already told you, Trump did boxing commentary on the 20th anniversary of 9 11, But here's something that's just extra pathetic. In pre fight Trump participated in pre fight stuff as well. He called into like away in or something like that. Really, really Presidential. Uh and he said that he would be able to knock out Joe Biden in seconds. This is one former president. Saying he'd be able to beat up another or the current president and former vice president Joe Biden. Um Our country is a joke, right? The mic is my perception wrong here like we're complete and total joke. Look at this. Listen to this. Amazing. This comes from Josh Peter of USA Today. If you have to box somebody on Saturday night, Who would it be? And what would the fight look like? Yeah. Well, I had to pick somebody in the world not only a professional boxer, because I'll think of pass on the professional boxes that can be very dangerous subject. But if you said do I have if I had a box somebody anybody I think probably my easiest fight would be Joe Biden. Because this.

"Very good. Thank you very much. Be very excited. Just comes from Josh Peter of USA Today. If you have to box somebody on Saturday night, Who would it be? And what would the fight look like? Well, I had to pick somebody in the world not only a professional boxer because I'll take a pass on the professional boxes that can be very dangerous subject. But if you said do I have if I had a box somebody anybody I think probably my easiest fight would be Joe Biden. Because this was very, very quickly. Very, very quickly. You know anyone said Oh, I'd like to take him behind the bar. He'd be in big trouble with me ever did No. I think Biden would go down within the first few seconds first, you said Seconds. Oh, man, I know that he is a hotbed figure and very controversial. But can you not admit that he's one of the funniest people in the world? Who do you think would win a gold? Don has got to be more challenging than a couple of stairs. Uh um I don't know. I feel that Donald Trump would win. Donald Trump's big He's big and supposedly lost a little weight. But Joe Biden, although he does seem feeble at times, he strikes me as someone who's wiry like I see, I see. Trump throwing a right And then you know, biting, you know, buying kind of ducks it and then it kind of reaches around and bites his jugular or something. If we're talking street rules, Biden is six ft. Tall, too, So he's not a slouch, right? I mean, It's very, very interesting that this is a real thing. If you'd like to weigh in, Okay or not okay, that our former president will be spending his 9 11 at least a portion of it, calling a celebrity well as a celebrity boxing match a boxing match between Vander Holyfield who is a very old boxer and Vitor Belfort, a former UFC fighter, Uh Drew. Grab alive. You're on there. Hi, Edward. Here, Edward today, Eddie, what's up? So I don't know. Long time 40 year listener of Tampa Bay Radio, and I was just curious. Is this the first time you do ever work together on the air? I will be completely honest with you. Thank you for asking That question. The first time we ever worked together was last Thursday. Okay, I'm the best show because about a month ago, I was almost going to call in drug Robbo and suggest that maybe Johnny B's co host and Drew's co host. What might might be better than Their actual regular shows. Wait, are you but I chickened out. Are you saying putting us together or if we switch spots? What in you guys together without Donny being without through, Okay, Okay. I appreciate the kind words and you know, obviously Drew's out right now, and we are experimenting a little bit. But the shows are going to maintain what the shows are moving forward, sir. Right. But you guys are very you are stronger originally with Johnny B. Andrew, I'm just curious as to how the show would would sound with you too. Well, now, you know, Yep, I do. If my aunt my question was answered Thank you, sir. I appreciate that. Good weekend. Thank you. Appreciate appreciate it. Oh, I know who this is. Save a horse. Ride a cowboy. How you doing? I'm doing really good. How are you, Patty? You You've been burning any tree today? Oh, you know what I am? I got my dentures. Thank goodness. Oh, wow. Hey, I want to say First of all of prayer to Jesus Christ, Jesus! Please help our Drew Raymond Arabo. Our soldier of humanity. We love him very much. And please help me get well, real sound. Uh, I'm not sure how involved in the church you are. Patty. Do you ever speak in tongues? Because I know if Drew is here right now, something that would probably warm his heart is if you did a small passage in tongues for him. Rage. Geena Heavy Raid Geena Jz. Is that Celta shout out to that girl that was depressed. Go to the behavioral house Center. Oh, yeah. Yeah. Yeah, I should. I was supposed to get you her phone number. I'll find that and get it to you. Thank you. Did you get my check for the cure Did thank you So much for the nice letter and the check. Thank you so much. I did want to let a shirt Oh, Yeah. Oh, good. Good. Okay, Thanks. Bye. Bye. Okay. I didn't know that was what was going on. I have no idea what's going on. Well, yeah, I mean, so she sent a check. We're doing the down to merge thing where you can get the shirt. But she sent me the check rather than just paying where you're supposed to pay sent me a check with a letter that didn't say anything about wanting a shirt. Yeah, but I guess now, I guess check. I guess I have my answers card. Yeah. Mike, what's up, man? Thanks for calling it Drew grab alive. Yeah, I was calling about a year later experience. I'm thinking of getting it done, But I'm I'm kind of scared, Dude, I will tell you there is it is it is natural to be scared your eyeballs. I understand being scared, and I can only tell you my truest honest opinions what I've experienced and it's been It's blown my mind from the aspect of I didn't know. How long I'd be feeling some sort of way. I didn't know if I'd be good to go that day. Right now. My eyeballs feel 100%. I've got like a couple little red dots they say will go away in in a week or so, but I was seeing with damn near 2020 vision within, like, five hours after after the procedure, So there was minimal pain. They give you something Nice to get you relax. The actual procedure is less than 15 minutes. You're in and out in less than four hours. I really, truly I have nothing but good things to say about it. Okay, I'll check it out and also, um, they should fire SPK and give you to your own show. Okay, Well, let's not let's not go firing people. Let's not go fight, guys. Let's not fucking anybody, okay? Everybody wants to be a play program director around here. Uh, Hey, Robert, Thanks for calling drug Arabo live. What they should do, John is they should they should preface everything they say if I said, you know, I'm not a program director. But Is that? Is that like the I'm not a doctor, but yeah, Yeah. How you doing, buddy? I'm good. I'm good. What's up, guys? How you doing? Good to hear your voice, man. Yeah, You know, Mike Love canceled his opening act for Michael Franti. I did hear that once you got an inside scoop. Yeah, I tried to comment earlier when it was one of the topics on the shelf, um, cheating downward force, vaccinations and testing. Oh, really? Yeah, it is interesting, So I was going to bring this up, but I'm not sure if you've heard us mention it, And I don't know if you had what your connection is exactly. But Josh Heinrichs, so I know, you know, uh, Josh very well. He's going to be up at the Nature Coast Music Festival, and I was going to see if there's any way you're going to be there for that, because I'd love to, you know, soak in your presence and separately just make the vast comparison. That he is about as mandatory vax friendly as humanly possible. I've seen that. And that's interesting because his roots with his original Banja roots, uh, was very outspoken on 9 11 and the truth behind 9 11, and that's a perfect segue to it's okay or it's not OK today in saying that by Trump commentating On boxing, which you know this isn't really a boxing match. This is kind of a pro wrestling deal. Would you say? I mean, I mean, I don't know enough about trailer. And if there are legitimate boxing outfit, But I will just say only, but based on the fact that Evander Holyfield is an old man, It's definitely got pro wrestling vibe. If not a little bit of Kearney. That's what you would call an exhibition matches. Yeah. Yeah, it's this new, sticky fighting stuff from the Jake Paul stuff to, uh, you know, this kind of it's a new genre. It's not quite celebrity boxing because there is some element to fight in there. It's not quite pro wrestling. But you know what is pro wrestling? And that is the stage of politicians. Um, you know, Donald Trump at some point was involved with progressed anyway. Maybe never forget. Absolutely so to me. It's completely okay to show that the guy who was the president. Is sticking it up because he isn't talking. Had all these presidents are talking heads. None of them really care about what really happened on 9 11. They're not going to show you building seven. John on the anniversary of 9%. No, no, no, no, they're going to do What they do best. And that's entertainment. Because as long as you guys want to remain in that entertainment, brainwashed state, you'll be fine folks. It's okay. Let's go back to sleep. Turn off the radio. I mean, keep on the radio, because you know they need to. Yeah, yeah. Revenue But turn it off. Turn it off the man. Tuscan love you guys. Bye, Love you. All right, Let's take a break. I'm excited, So I know do you? Are you offended by the term conspiracy theorist? Because I think you you You live in that world at least have interest in that world..

"What do they have him doing? So, from what? I saw the video I first posted. That was hand. Just kind of warming up, Eh? So now he's on the far into the field. Greg, you've been here at practice. You know how spread out the field is due to come over right now, looking as we speak just there. I'm looking at my legs just threw a pass to Josh Peters and the tight it Theon drafted Tiny Peterson, son. Yeah, Yeah, just just to a path to him. They're working on some offensive drug on the other side of the field, but so far it looks good. It looks move that looks clean. Um, you know, I think he's gonna probably obviously gonna have to work out some of that rust workout that rush from not playing for a while. But So far so good when you look at her working, considering everything that Give it Chiana. Obviously it's hard, Trey. Lance's easy You're looking at the quarterback, but Aaron Banks, a local kid out of Notre Dame, couple of running backs get taken. Trey sermon out of Ohio State being the biggest name guy. What other things are you looking at? Is as you're down there observing today. You know what I want? I'm gonna be quite candidates. It's learning a lot of these new guys because I feel like it's training camp all over again when there's so many new faces coming in, and you're trying to figure out who is who, but it's just also kind of looking at the skill of some of these guys think about some of these position battles that we could potentially have. Specifically at cornerback. You haven't you a couple of corners that air here on the day. I'm looking at this roster, and you haven't least three or four that were here today. But looking at every Thomas, How does he look? Geometry? Eleanor. That's another guy, but then also the running back. Now. I mean, the 40. Niners did release often, Walter, but that's a crowded group. So how did these guys look? Do they look like how college Shanahan kind of envisions his running back in the running back position to be so I'm just kind of looking at how these guys performing. How are they? It's only day one. So I'm not expecting upto look like they've been in his office for years. But just how are they? How are they becoming accustomed to what's going on the direction of given to them on the field and also kind of building that team camaraderie? I know they talked about that a lot on the press conference today. Yeah. You mentioned Austin Walter. Being released didn't take long for him to get a job. Robert. Solemn. Michael Floor picked him up immediately. Now he's a property of the New York Jets. So when you're looking at sermon and Mitchell Trey sermon, the third round pick Elijah Mitchell. The sixth round pick and you know sermons more of an upright runner doesn't have the breakaway speed. And Mitchell has lost a lot of weight since he played last does have breakaway speed gave you seen enough T gauge the way they run and how they look, Chiana. You know what? I'm glad you said that because that's what I want to look at next. I haven't really got to watch much of the running backs just as yet, but I want to see that seat. You know alive. He Mitchell that that guy that you know, kind of fits in with what supporting and it's running back for the all run out of four. Or I think you know one of the fascist groups in the league, but that's something that trade summit wasn't necessarily pray for that Breakaway, see There were other things that house Shanahan really admired about him as a running back that kind of Have a little bit of similarities to some of the weight that reading most of hair is a ball in the way that he could catch passes out of the backfield. He said that something that he prides himself on so I think that's one of the highlights that really caught Kyle Shanahan's attention that Wanna have the grab a running back. I think the earliest ever seen Kyle Shanahan draft a running back out to think about that one. Absolutely, Chiana. Great stuff. We always appreciate it. Thank you so much. We'll talk to you throughout the season. I'm sure you're right. It's started. Let's go outside your area. I love that. I love out. I want to hear that touchdown call. Okay, Going tray serving to the right and we got trade. Lance taking their shotgun snap. We got the tray off. It's going right and left gonna be fun. Let's run the trains you'll love it would be a way to get a big kick out of Thank you. He did a great job because there is music blaring. I'm looking at some of the video. It's all so she and there always is like a pro. What's funny? What's interesting about this? Somebody else tweeted a picture, I guess was the 40 Niners, and it was Trace sermon and Trey Lancer. They're walking out of the tunnel together to the practice field and trace sermon is on a small man. He's six ft. 2 15. And Trey. Lance is walking with him in there both in short, so you could just see the size of Trey lands. And I mean it not only from a height standpoint, but a thickness standpoint, his legs are big. He's a big dude. He's a thick dude, that's I just saw a picture of him in his shorts, and he was wearing the Black Jersey number five and just driving out from under center. And the first thing you see is the thickness in his legs. He almost has running backs. You know, kind of thighs. He does quads. He's 632 24. And that's why, when you look at that and play, you know, in that level of football, the FBS He would just run right through tackles..
