And he wants the opportunity to prove that he's still the top point in his league, so I'll go on record, saying that even though Richard Herman is not a hurricane To the top 10 corn in the league, especially in this system that he knows like the back of his hand. What about when they motion it shift? What about what we're playing man to man to get her to man Fact what's the communication there? It takes a while to develop back chemistry. And it takes a while for Josh Norman Norman to learn a type of terminology and what means what and what coverage and zone blitz and man It's so much to learn, Um, maybe five duty when they go to a nickel packages give him certain coverages to work on, but for the asked them to come in after two weeks. And these are number one corner and base nickel dime. I don't know if you can do it. Dante, the young guys De'andre Lynn or played yesterday and he didn't get tested out a whole lot. But I would imagine that in the short term, if if we can assume Mosul would come back against Philly, would you think Lynn or would be on the other side? And how would you feel about that? And Russell Wilson at Indianapolis is great. You're gonna play great quarterbacks in the division. Oh, by the way, week three, probably a fist off Aaron Rodgers, who wasn't good yesterday. In fact, his worst professional game they got beat 38 3 by the scenes. We get more into the NFL, but a lot of quarterbacks coming and they got to get that figured out. The one thing that's good about him is he runs kind of like a veteran. He's a patient runner kind of Levian bell like, But lady in Bell is Levian Bell, and he's not leaving on bell anymore. We'll see in the night against the Raiders. Playing for Baltimore, but he's lost his juice, but If you want to play for Bobby Turner, uh, being patient is not the way to go. You've got to hit that It's one cut and it's downhill and you go and Trey sermon is got to figure out how to run this system. Now he ran a lot of it. At Ohio State. He ran at Oklahoma who did and eventually But he's got to hit it harder the way Elijah Mitchell hits it, and he just hits it and he's got great speed. Rain of 433. And you can see the speed when he got into the second level. But then the power £200 and you know, he was played bigger and college, he was up to 2 15 and his prayer. Initial of 40 times. Hasty is Tim Wood column is a guy that I think can connect, you know, carry the load and from college to the pros through the annals of time. Guys come into the league and they can play young. Well, it's just one of those positions. The problem with their it was it was probably in my estimation, the corner spot the least of your depth. Even though you took the two rookies angry. Thomas took 2020 off, I think is going to take some time. Lindores interesting. He played well. If it's Mosul and Lynn are okay, and then you got a couple of veterans. But in corner makes me nervous because it was one of the few positions maybe receiver being the other that you weren't As as high on as far as the depth offensive line defensive line all these different places that they got the depth the quarterback position, they said. We're not going to get beat by this lack of depth again. But corner was one of those spots where you held your breath. So I'm okay with the running backs, at least in the short term. Well, a manual mostly, I think is going to play in Philadelphia. I don't know, but I watched him warm up and he was running. I'm not going to say 100%, but he had a helmet on his shoulder pads on Part of me thought when I first saw him. Is he trying to prove he can fly today? But then he did it so long. He was obviously having a heavy pregame workday and he was not going to play, but he was running goal line to go line. And he was getting after it. So I think he's close. I think there is reason to assume that be optimistic. Not assume, but be optimistic that Emanuel Mosey can come back. So then you just flip out mostly for Barrett. Uh, you know where it's a better player but mostly is a good player de Mola Nor played amazing Jeff Deeney from pro football. Focus on me. The C sent me the breakdown he played 90 snaps the most of anybody on defense 69 1 coverage. They did not go at him much. They went in and little bit later in the game. "I mean, at one point when he was playing for Sean McDermott, As the defensive coordinator and, uh, Starting in Carolina all the way to Superbowl 15. I thought he was one of the premier zone corners. And football and, ah They wound up playing Denver in the Super Bowl in Denver's defense, led by Von Miller was just too good that day, so I actually ran into Josh Norman. Um, that was the Levi's Super Bowl 50. And, uh, One night. Mm, NBC Sports Bay Area doing something probably warriors that time of year. And this big issue V comes rolling in in the parking garage and jump it out as Josh Norman. He came in to do co summer show. Do the, uh, do an interview and he was holding court and I thought you got the biggest game your life on Sunday. You're coming in here to do a local television show. Really? But that was kind of what he was, and he was full of himself, and he played well in the game, but they didn't play well, offensively. Obviously, cameras overwhelmed. And then that year, Marty Hurney But the franchise tag on them. And Carolina's was after not only make the Pro Bowl that year, he was an all pro first team corner that year. He was at the height of his powers. And, uh, he didn't sign that franchise tag for the longest time. And usually, you know, you just wind up waiting for the July 15 deadline to sign a long term contract and But my hard hit like it and Marty rescinded the franchise tag, which I don't I don't remember anybody ever doing that. NFL Rookie quarterback progress report - who could start in Week 1?
"Mike after the first week of the preseason a lot of people are up in arms and vary excited about we're seeing out. Of the young quarterbacks whether it's Josh. Rosen Josh Allen Baker Mayfield Sam darnold even. Lamar Jackson in. A limited capacity I don't think he's gonna see the field much right but it feels like try it again but it feels like. There you go robot radio let me get that back it feels like, it's trending, towards Sam. Darnold maybe being the one guy of, these rookie quarterbacks that is. Going to keep the streak alive I think of what ten straight seasons a rookie quarterback is starting week one. Week one A lot of. People were very impressed with what he was able to do at that first preseason game although you I thought made a various point that. Look at all that was great there. Were a lot of short throws there again I The the rookie quarterback's all did, things I liked make, no mistake about it. But let's not just, all throw roses. For, everything okay it weren't all. Positives now Sam did. What he was asked to do a lot of those were. Set up to be short passes and he he averaged I think five. Yards per attempt it's not very far but that's. He participated in most of the giants off season program and word is he is going to be there tomorrow when the New York Giants begin training camp.
