"Ability but the confusing thing to me is we have been anticipating that the giants want to run not just more man coverage but a lot more man coverage they fell into the trap and it was largely because of isaac yada being on the field for them that they ran a lot of zone coverages and once team's figured out that even though they were rotating their zones and the coverage they showed it's the snap wasn't the coverage they were actually playing but it was still going to be zone cover. They just started. Running zone beater browde concepts end. They started having a lot of success through the air and josh jackson was best as a cover. Three cover four zone basically zone coverage across the board cornerback. So i'm not sure how this how he really fits in what. At least we think the giants defense needs to do and also you look at the physical profiles of these guys. There's really not much of a difference. I can't speak to these guys. Their play styles are are going to be differing but just looking at their physical profiles. They're also their experience in the league. Both came from the same draft class. Both are around six foot. Josh jackson six foot is again. I'm six foot one slightly longer. Arms for isaac. Yatom who's got thirty. Two inch and josh jackson is thirty one inch. They're both relatively the same weight. So i just again find this a bit odd i am. I missing something here. Like is is one guy going to be better at playing in man coverage than the other. I just i think that this was merely as you said. Both teams weren't really satisfied with guys that were potentially on the roster bubble that they might cut and they went and wanted to maybe make a swap and see if different skill sets could work in different scenarios. I don't even know if y'all gonna stick around with the packers but here in this situation. I can't even really speak to the likelihood that josh jackson mixed this roster because if you just look at all the guys that he is fighting against just even crack the rotation. He's got a lot of people ahead of. It is going to be an uphill battle for josh jackson to find his way. On the field for the giants. Yeah he really does and honestly if he gets onto the field does that. Just lock the team back into playing a pretty predictable of defense which you got them in trouble last year. That once team's figured out what their defense was actually doing that kind of is what knocked them out of the playoffs. You know the if the giants had been able to run a more very defense they might have beaten the cardinals or they might have beaten the browns and that would have put them over the top. Now there is one possibility of back. When i wrote a scouting report up. I said that for the giants and this was four. James bechers scheme but bet. Your scheme is very similar to kirby smart team scheme in alabama. And we know patrick. Graham scheme is similar to what alabama runs so. This could still hold true. And at the time i thought jackson could transition to safety for the giants you know. He doesn't have the best speed. I think he ran a four five six but he does have good ball skills. He does have good hands so it may be if you play him deeper. Maybe he could compete for a free safety role where the giants are still pretty deep. But not as deep as they are corner and that could maybe hide some of his deficiencies and baby allow them to emphasize some of the strengths. More but personally. I haven't really heard anything about that. And just taking a quick glance at how he'll fit into the rotation possibly he's going to be a backup outside corner you have to consider darnay. Homes is probably going to be starting in the slot because in robinson has been hurt and then once aaron robinson gets back and he's healthy he is going to be competing with darnay homes for snap. So you've got two guys already solidified at the slot you know that. They're both going to be working in in various ways. We don't know for sure how they're going to be utilized in who's going to get the most amount of snaps. That's something that we've talked about throughout the preseason and also in the off season that were excited to see because we think that they're both very talented then we obviously know. James bradberry and adore. Jackson are going to be starting at both outside corner. Spots josh jackson is probably going to be one of their backups. I don't know if that's a lock or a guarantee. But there's not really anyone else on this roster that i would really slot over him regardless it's just a straight up spy swap of corners for a guy that is going to be the third outside corner the next available outside corner on this roster coming up we are going to talk about the roster cuts that were made waves of made specific players before we do. So we're.

"Next preseason matchup which will be against the cleveland browns before we get to that though. We obviously need to cover all these moves. There's a lot of stuff going on for the giants and teams crossed the league. The first move that popped up. This week was a trade for cornerback. Kion crossing a seventh round pick was dealt to bring in crofton primarily special teamer and this move was a bit interesting and odd to me for a number of reasons. Chris because the giants as we've talked about a lot are probably deepest at corner right now or you could say defensive. Line but one of the deepest positions is cornerback is their secondary. They've spent draft capital over multiple years at the corner position. They also signed dory jackson. They also have some guys that are improve it type situations so then bringing in cross in was a little bit odd to me because it doesn't really fit what they need right now. They don't really need to be making trades to add depth at corner you would think you would be at offensive line or some other positions that appear to be weak. Yeah i have to assume. Crossing was acquired for his special teams ability. He was drafted by the new england patriots. Back in twenty eighteen. He knows joe. Judge joe. judge knows him. He's primarily ben a special teamer since he's been in the league. He has played on on the defense. Some i believe specifically with texans. I don't know that he got onto gowns field on defense with the patriots now. He's kind of an undersized guy. I think he's about five eight five nine one eighty one eighty five ish in that in that range so if he gets on the field it will probably be in the slot but he his. He's going to be competing for a job as a special teams player. I kind of have to guests at this point that it was the injury to tj brunson. That really motivated the giants to go out and get another special teams guy because brunton yes. He caused the fumble in the game against the jets but his value was going to be on special teams. So i really think that crossing is He should have an st next to his name with a bull slash db. 'cause he's going to be a special teams player i you that's really the the primary emphasis here and part of the reason why i'm saying it was the bit odd of a decision. The giants don't really need a corner and they also we're going to get to the other move. That happened this week that even solidifies where cross and fits into the picture of this roster. This is really a special teams depth. Move i don't even know if he's a lock or guaranteed to make the roster just because they traded he seventh round pick for him. There is a level of familiarity there with him previously being under joe judge when they were with when he was with the patriots. But you know this guy that works hard on special teams. That is going to bust his butt. You lose. tj brunson. Who was likely going to fight for a roster spot as a special teamer two different physical body types that you're going to get with these two different guys put still. This is really really mostly just a special teams move in the other moves that they made i guess is more of a cornerback based move. I can't even really fully. I can't even fully really figure out what they're doing with with some of these decisions in these trades. They made this week. And the other one that i'm referencing. Chris is the swap that they made for isaac. Yana sending is got him to the packers and then going and getting former second round. Pick josh jackson now jackson during his draft year. Some thought he was the number one corner in his class. That doesn't end up being how he slotted in selected alexander ends of going before him to the packers. We know how good alexander is. Josh jackson has never lived up to that hype. And here we are with an underwhelming corner swapped for an underwhelming corner this one more than the cross in trade confuses me as well because again. They've got quality depth. They're not perfect but they're going and getting a guy who's been pretty underwhelming in his career. Thus far i would also argue with crossing. I don't think this is a guy that's guaranteed to make the roster yada was on the bubble and is a guy who potentially wasn't going to stick around and we're bringing in another guy who is on the bubble in his potentially not going to stick around. Yeah this one to me. Is the confusing bit. Yeah i see back in two thousand eighteen. Why teams would or could fall in love with josh jackson. He had a ton of production that year or that previous year at iowa. He had great ball production. He had some of the best hand of any corner in his draft class in. He's a former wide receiver. And i noted in a scouting report. He plays the ball in the air like a wide receiver. The promise he just never really translated it to the nfl. You started ten games as a rookie. He was o k basically. He was a rookie corner without a whole hell of a lot of experience at cornerback and then he just regressed badly. High started two games over the next two years. He played in twenty six. And just even this year is basically kind of a widely anticipated among packers writers. Packers fans that jackson was going to be gone after the first preseason game. He struggled that badly. So i don't know if this was a case where the giants. They had fond memories of jackson from that draft class. You know they. They really liked him. He was high on their board end. They found out about the opportunity to acquire him so they had a corner. They probably weren't going to keep around. The packers had a corner. They weren't really gonna keep around so they just made the trade straight up at maybe trying to thinking they can get something out of him. You know maybe they can unlock that.

"That type of stuff. The other thing on the Innovation Front that I. Love About FCS's I have a great relationship with our VP Josh Jackson he runs solution and Technology Group and I'm we're trying to really formulate that? It is customer zero, so the things that we are selling, capabilities and products methodologies that we sell to our customers or use it our customers, we use internally as well where it makes sense, and we've really start to build that practice up. Up over the last twelve months, and that's the part that i. think is really exciting. It's not just about running the enterprise, but we're actually doing things for the enterprise that we can have those qualifications and show that we do internally so when we talk with our customers, we can say yeah. We do that, too. And some of the examples I mean really small examples are we're. We're creating a chat Bot and we did a partnership with a company called. Called expressive, and we're building on top of service now and we're using it, you know we've twenty five thousand employees, so this is going to be an experience for our employees, but as perfect it we'll be able to with the with the call center that we use with many other customers offer it to them to but we're kind of proving it out internally, which is great so I call it drinking our own ip a but it's basically being no customer zero. And we did the same thing with the data center. We stood up a software defined data center next Gen Data Center. We use the whole. vm Ware Stack, and you know made a private cloud, and it's fantastic, and that's another example where we're able to a lot of our customers are dealing with that How how do they go to the cloud? Sometimes it can't be a public cloud, and we're able to show what we've done internally and and it's really proving out quite nicely. But it's interesting I'd not heard him drinking. You're on a very specific I e go. Everyone was saying eat your own dog food. Then there was drinking champagne I gotta go somewhere.

"From deep one of eleven from deep in the fourth quarter couldn't guard anyone from the Grizzlies you know it it it this is one of those games where I do feel like you don't we know you and I are obviously well me I know obviously who hadn't had a top caliber athlete but you do have a sense of how you feel when you get back from a road trip especially getting in late back to back not to make excuses but you do know that you have this sort of energy level and focus that's not at its top for show when you feel like that a lot of times like we'll talk about it if we come to a game and we get a good game will be okay could you get into the energy and then all of a sudden if the game gets sluggish you get a little sluggish and now you really start to feel the effects of animals feel like tonight the nets there early on were Jammin with them and we're going then all the sudden when the shots weren't falling in Memphis game a little punch then the fatigue set in and then it was just forget it the net sort of let go of the rope in the Grizzlies pulled away in the second half and now I I don't I don't but at this stage of the game and and with the issues that the nets have had in the close games and want to certainly be in the playoffs back to back as a part of life in the NBA and and you had a number of guys didn't play that many minutes last night that we're going to have to play a lot tonight than you expected more out of those guy I expected more out of those guys didn't would ease the harasses the the prince's the Allens that that that watched last night from the end of the third quarter on you expected more than tonight yeah I Y. yeah I want more from them I I both sense that one of them to be alive and you know I don't think it was a to it maybe a little bit tired big deal that they did not know that this got me they got they got they got manhandled by this saying that they get beat they thirty nine but the Grizzlies if they didn't have such an emotional game last night I think that could I think the game as they did get through it but I will give credit to the Grizzlies they did go out and they took care of what they had to do I'm sure if you have you know if you were the head coach of your tailor take is for the game you say listen these guys had a big win last night they're coming let's go in there and let's just step on their neck and that's what they did well and not right out of the gate remembers thirteen to six knots had pretty good life and energy to start the game I just thought what was shocking was ever to go to the pants in the Tyus Jones going five for six from three Josh Jackson he goes four of nine from three has there's eighteen and nineteen points with those two guys yeah I got I got I did you know the really kind and no name guys you're not really used to the job Moran was dirty wasn't great I do what I do see though that he has a nice way of bottom as far as facilitating it's not all about him out there trying to score an interesting mix in his game that I can see how it contributes to a nice place energy about this great city grizzly team I do see a toughness about him though there's a physicality there's an ad service group again villagers don't Berks add your tile I understand I'll let you know he's plays at his own pace but he's been around the NBA awhile right now and the nets weren't up to it they weren't up to the task that meant they missed shots their open shots him but there are other times when the Grizzlies are just on every pass but the ball was sticking a lot I thought there was a kennel easy kind of action and if you thought you'd get something with because you got so fired up about shows up last night he did it for a little while and I thought there was a sequence in the second half and chose it came back in we're talking about Joe is a get back out of the four and he makes a couple plays it makes a little move in the paint Kevin Durant gets jumping around and then I make something else happen and then all of a sudden Josh Jackson makes a three box set on one end and then scores quickly on the other end ending all the energy that you thought was accumulated was over was over from that Jack that Josh Jackson activity and performance in that little sequence and I know Tyus Jones it throughout the game but Jackson broke our hearts when the nets have or had kind of felt like they might have to get some Jews going and then it just got steamrolled in the fourth we're waiting to hear from that said coach Kenny Atkinson the Grizzlies were led by Josh Jackson had nineteen points he was four of nine from behind the arc eighteen for Tyus Jones fifteen points for John Moran had seven rebounds five assists no turnovers had a steel he was a plus twenty in just twenty nine minutes yeah I know it I know he's he's great and yet he didn't feel like he was saying to himself well I I'm I'm I top rookie and I've got to try to get twenty five and never got that feeling from him tonight I thought the game still came to him they made the plays when they want it any facilitated got others involved and I think that's why there's a good energy about this group with the Grizzlies the nets in the loss were led by Tory prints at fifteen fourteen for liver fourteen off the bench for Jio's it shows a five of eight shooting high I think she owes it though in these last two days specially we did last night has earned has earned some playing time here now that's going to be an issue coming forward I mean he's some of these young guys and getting some playing time fields is a guy that certain time so that Nick Claxton night had thirty four in a win for the Long Island nets thirty four points nine rebounds give me some more clarity what's more class yeah I had a fever I got of it and the only prescription is more cost where we need to hear from Katie acted sooner stated abnormally long time to come out here.
Michigan Football Chatter: Nico Collins and Donovan Peoples-Jones might come back to the team
"Niko Collins down of peoples' Jones there's a lot of rumors are some good vibes out there that both of these guys might come back after treat black just announced late last week that he was he was going to enter the transfer portal and of any schools have been associated with him yeah I know a lot of people started following him on Twitter but in that same vein nickel Collins and down hills Jones some reports out there that here they would like to come back for their senior year Zack and if you've heard anything like that but what we'll talk about here is if they get both of them back what that could mean for Michigan football in two thousand twenty means a lot right it's ME builder baby to their their five most dangerous players on the team L. Collins actually played up to statistically people Jones I thought was big in some key spots but maybe didn't find it I mean that's that's what it came down to is their draft grade we just we're going over the CVS draft maybe we did it during a break instead of on the show but calling the people Jones were what fourth and fifth round picks I don't yeah I was surprised by how low they were you know I'm a big I'm a big believer in go when someone will pay you because you know life is short in the NFL but at same time you're twenty twenty one and you come back and improve your stock yeah I I'd say more power to you because you have that opportunity will be interesting to see what they actually do because I think it would be a testament to what they believe the quarterback passing game situational be like next year if they think that they can move up in the draft with another year what I don't know someone asked me on Twitter you know what they could they wait until the fifteen ball practices are done and get a feel for Joh Milton or don't McCaffrey and I would bet that at this point they they probably know I mean either one of these guys is supposed to get the starting job in the bowl game I mean they're going to go out there and treat this like the final game of two thousand nineteen not the first came in two thousand twenty and preparing themselves for next year and so you know if they don't know already what what Joh Milton until McCaffrey are I don't think that's gonna change and bull crap here but I do agree with you I I do think that is a a kind of a connection to this if you decide to come back you're not coming back if you think like man V. the quarterback room and the passing game is gonna regress considerably here because all you're really come back for is if you think that the last three or four games when they were both being targeted you know six and seven times a game and have an opportunity to catch five balls a game if that's consistent what's gonna be next year now you can put up those bigger numbers now you can catch the eye of more scouts and so yeah I would think that be a very positive sign for mission of both those guys come back for the quarterback room and also for obviously the wide receivers I mean we're already you know everybody's really excited about Ronnie bell and the rise of Josh Jackson like senior still you had these two guys in there and what you know that I mean if you're Joe motor Joe McCaffrey said yourself like all like you know we're in the red zone I'm I have a tough time finding open perceiver Hey I can just check the ball to the corner nickel counts gonna go get it how much is that help a young quarterback my goodness yeah in the end they can get better still I don't think it's out of the question that in how people Jones and Colin they missed a lot of spring practice they missed a lot of summer practice I I don't know their health situation I don't I don't know enough but I imagine it would be healthier this year could be and then you build that chemistry bill that report and players get better I a you know it's everyone gets better different speeds but I always laugh when people are like yeah I've heard enough about such and such improving no players improve when they play college football for a long time that's why a lot of you know there's not too many freshmen who are the best players in the country you start to see it more now but usually it's the juniors and then the easy casual senior but it's it's the it's a big deal it would be it would significantly pollster Michigan's offense of potential it would raise some questions because you how do you use them do you still go pass first even if you're changing quarterbacks but I think it would be a net positive for Michigan some players should not come back there are some players and more so in other teams that I notice in Michigan where they come back in it and I think both sides kind of regret it because there's not a lot of you know it's a you're you're thinking about the NFL too much or the chemistry is off with some of your new teammates I think both of these guys I mean if they're if they're said to come back I think it's a it's a big win for Michigan Brandon if if these guys come back amber Thomas is expected to come back we pay last night at the show me awards said that he expects to come back if all these guys that could have I know we look at this list last week I think it was on your hosting day the six players who are all eligible to go pro all of them came back does that saying anything about what they think Michigan football could be in two thousand twenty yeah I think that's fair I mean are you know if they've got a chance well some of it does come down to the whole draft great thing too I mean if these guys are thinkin of animal finally you know realize my dream and go pro and then they get a draft grade back of like fourth or fifth round that might be a little bit of a you know a little bit of a blow to the ego and also just a just a dose of reality like okay I'm not me maybe I'm not quite as good as I thought and I can prove it I can prove that I am better than this by coming back so I think it's there's probably several factors but I certainly think that's one of a might like these guys want to win they're not gonna come back if they think they're going to be worse than they were this year that they have no chance of meeting Ohio state or that they have no chance of possibly making it to the playoffs like I think that certainly factors in this is big time college football they came to Michigan for a reason and they want to win and I certainly think that when you're as talented as Michael Collins and out of people's own our they're probably thinking like okay they could be pretty good next year and we come back we can be really good that maybe we like it also out of his car arrogance our confidence or cockiness or whatever you want but they know that they're making the team better so why not come back and try to take it to another level another year and Josh gad as a system from everything I've heard players tend to like Josh gad as I know he's pretty hard core on the sidelines he gets in guys faces but I think everybody also respects and he's a younger guy he's a really he's a really detail oriented coach I feel like he thinks players think that he's getting them better I think there's a lot to it but I don't I think I think it does speak to like where Michigan is a maybe wear those guys think they could be next year and I I think you got it I think you got a look between the lines a little bit and maybe realize it like they look there think in those two quarterbacks if you're pretty damn good we saw it we think with another year like it could be special with them I think that's got to be part of what they're thinking about yeah absolutely I mean if you can if if if you told me going Donovan Hey what we did the last three games we're gonna do that over twelve games next year and they had now have evidence and they can believe it and you've got some else tell you like Hey you're you're projecting great right now is third or fourth round I mean to me unless it's an easy decision because you're still given up you know some money but are you are you but you gotta put on the best position to be successful the next level and I think they'll be coming back see the reason the CBS sports things also a project to pick like a sixth round pick an obscene somethings I have them all a first round pick the good news is for these guys is that they have much more trusted sources like telling them what projections are verses like that just going up the randomness of every sports website out there I'll say this too in in Donovan people Jones and eco Collins cases specifically if they come back and

"Form is great. It's a stork it has great memories, stable centers way. Nice, right. Right. This the oracle get back across the tour. The new the new building locked outside of it, but not inside of it. But I think I told you this, I don't know if I've told the audience this, the Lakers and warriors are going to open the new building in a preseason game on October, while actually that'll be the first ever event in the new chase center in San Francisco, which if you've been to the Basque are the baseball stadium where the giants plates, just two blocks over on the water, right? And then the Lakers gonna play another preseason game against the warriors right before the regular season starts. So we're action in gonna be have four games up there this year two in the preseason to in the regular season. So if you're Laker fan, and you want to check that building out, you've got. Four chances. Right. And, and being candid you may want to buy tickets to the preseason games much cheaper than they will for the regular season games that you can check out the still. I bet they will not be cheap since it's the grand opening of the building, which is supposed to be just spectacular. Maybe the second preseason game at the end of the preseason would be affordable. Right. And Steve, as you know, I'm not allowed to talk specifics. But the Laker roster could look radically different than never no different at the bottom of the hour. Andrew Lopez is going to join us from the New Orleans times, picayune. We had him on the show previously. There continues to be a lot of churning. And a lot of conversation about the potential of the Lakers, acquiring Anthony Davis. And we see where do you start? Let's let's start with this Zach Lowe on the low post today. He's gonna Zach Lowe for how the third team might be involved in terms of searching around the league for like young ish. Good players. It's really hard to find one. That would be available for the number four pick like Bradley Beal's, too good for the number four Bradley Beal with demand for plus the wizards van four plus something else. Out. Although I think that's the right kind of Surat idea. I saw Kevin O'Connor mentioned Aaron Gordon. That's interesting. I the first name I thought it was LeVine. Because I think the bulls might do that Levin for number four there. You can also go the other way, and look at sort of distressed recent lottery picks. Like but, but you have to really like those picks. So if you were a big fan of Josh Jackson, could you go to Phoenix. We'll give you four for Josh Jackson, plus, something else, Josh disappointment number of or you, if you if you're a big mogambo, believer, could you go to Orlando say, we'll give you four from Obama plus a future. I, plus whatever whatever the plus is that makes up for the fact that MO had a disappointing season blah, blah..

I mean really is it poses a lot of problems defensively? Hi, you're gonna. Hi. Are you gonna defend screen roll, how you're going to, you know, really channel Steph curry, and then you got Klay Thompson, then you got your Draymond green who is excellent at finding players. So I think if you kind of staggered, it down the line, I think it would be a very competitive series, a lot of competitive basketball. But most importantly. Watching Steve Kerr as a coach and then thinking you're going to have Phil Jackson on the other. I think that's probably be the most intriguing because you have a great chess match. You know, it's funny you're in the, you have Derrick rose, Josh Jackson, chevelle McGee. Emmanuel moody Bismarck beyond is players. Your clients part of the Wasserman agency. You know, we talk a lot about free agency, and like Leonard's a fascinating, I player. So coli is quiet and that's okay. Mic trout down in Orange County is the best baseball player. Some say since you know, Mickey Mantle and Mike plays and now might goes home. Mike's not interested outside of a subway commercial ado, in that stuff. Bryce Harper's Gallo, more flare, the hair, the panache whatever. What do you think matters to Colli Leonard if you could like forget where he goes, like, would he be difficult to represent as a client? Can you can you gauge? I mean listen. Everybody works in San Antonio. He didn't he got tired of it. What do you make of choline? Well, choirs personality reminds me of, of a player, I worked with for many years and still work with dared grows. You know as as quiet as is dare rose fry quieter than okay? And that personality in today's world is kind of it doesn't fit because, you know, we're constantly scrutinized by the media, whether social media television or what have you, you know, we're looking for the big personality than Michael Jordan personality. The Irvin Magic Johnson personality. You know, those personalities we tend to really keep the camera on, and it makes for great news and makes for covering coverage, but Leonard is a throwback. He's without question. One of if not the best player in the game, currently he is that good of a player and I think he's a throwback into sense that, you know what every player that's play with him every coach. That's coached him respect him. And every relationship that you have is always going to be built on respect you respect, his work ethic respect to he is. Even though he's not a talker. He, he lets his playing do the talking form. So you know what he comes in? He doesn't say much that's fine. But it's a rare combination because you want that first guy to have this huge personality, which he doesn't have. That's, that's I guess that's my question. Tim Duncan did it. Yes. Generally, Michael magic was a force of personality. Yes. Michael wasn't seen as a big personality, but I always had a feeling that Michael in the locker room did plenty of talk. Scotty, by the way, got the number one Manel when Michael left, and I never felt he was quite come comfortable with it. That's what I felt boy. Yeah. You know, Michael personality fit you know, he was like three dimensional. He was a great player. He had a great personality. And he enjoyed being the very first guy he Jobe that he wanted to be Michael Jordan. He wanted to be the best player. He wanted every night. Doc you today with Tuesday may fourteenth goes Phoenix Suns forward. Josh jackson. Now, Josh is twenty two years old. He got drafted in two thousand seventeen first round pick number four actually solid player. So far in the league. I would say so rookie year. He averaged a little over thirteen point two game that she was around eleven points. The game so decent first couple of years. I think it's career average is like twelve points a game something like that. He's still got a lot of work to do a lot of work to do to be a household name. Keeping my Jesse Jackson six eight right running handcuffs on that rolling loud. Josh Jackson where you're going. You think nobody is gonna notice six eight man running in handcuffs that rolling loud. And just you would nev- you would never have been in this situation. If you went where you are celebrating you tolerate and not only that instead of fighting to get into VIP, take you ask the general population. And do what we all do. Okay. It's all about the wind and winning culture if we're not going to the playoffs, and it's just one of those. We gotta go out there and play and I put a fifty nine or in a loss or seventeen and I'll take the fifty nine the jazz by way shot close to sixty percent in this game. The sun's are don't try that. They're not that good. I I don't know if they're not trying make love, and I just don't think they're that. Good. Well, okay. So the Sixers when they were in the process, we're not that good. But you had a problem with that? They were just bad. They tried him. No, no. They tried to be bad front office. Yeah. They tried to be bad. I mean Phoenix doesn't have a general manager. We have Devon Booker. And the Andrea Aidan and Josh Jackson who else and. Uber Tellier Vrai. I mean, you shouldn't you should be a little better. I feel like there's gotta be a level of tanking say, maybe subconsciously, aren't you just got to be less effort winter that Phoenix is already locked in with Cleveland in the Knicks. Right, right. They have the best odds for John Williams. Right. But they have beaten Milwaukee, and they Golden State that's bad tanking. That proves to you that they do try their they try whatever doing they have a great team against them. And they're on TV, but they don't try clearly on a Tuesday night. Devon Booker had fifty nine of the sons ninety two points last night or sixty four percent of their points. That's the second highest percentage of a team's points in a game in the last fifty years. The only other game that surpasses that one Kobe Bryant Ed sixty six percent of the Lakers points when he scored eighty one against Toronto stabbing. Stabbing. Today that bus stat of the day that of the day. That what stat? Does anybody? Remember who had the second most points on the Lakers and that game against Toronto. When Kobayashi had eighty one. Wow. If you get this. It's good. Do you want me to give you three choices? Okay. Okay. Chris Mihm serviceable center. Yeah. Out of Texas. Smush parker. Lamar Odom all started Kwami Brown had three okay? None points, Luke, Walton. Had none. I'll go smooshed Parker. Smush? Parker is correct thirteen. Yeah. For eleven shooting killed it and Kobe would past him more the ball more more than eleven Kobe, two assists and eighty one point never show is forty and a half to how many assisted wilt have when he scored one hundred. What what's the highest assist? Total in one of these points where somebody scored at least sixty points. Might be hardened. I don't know. But I'm curious your score that much ample. We'll see we'll had one hundred points and two assists. Okay guy. Rodgers had twenty semi Philadelphia. Rogers. I'm also wondering this, you know, the the influx of threes in the NBA taken over the NBA. And I was curious, you know, these coaches in college are control freak. So they don't want you going willy nilly and fired up threes all the time they want to control as much as they can for as long as they can. So I had had my boys at stance go and find some numbers for me. Three pointers of accounted for thirty four percent of total points through the fifty two NCWA tournament game. So far this season. That's the highest percentage of all time and a large jump over last year..

"You know, we can move on to. I guess we didn't do most likely be traded on the Lakers. Here's we didn't. No. I'm going to go Beasley. Oh, I guess Casey p just because people have been talking about it, even though I don't see if he's pather and then for Phoenix hoof, Josh Jackson. No one wants no one wants bender. I would imagine. No, it seems unlike you could just yeah. I don't think you Bentinck permit, and I like anybody even want to go up first runner for Josh Jackson. I don't think so at this point to be. Making seven million next year nine million the year after that. Although there's obviously a team option there. And then for the sons, I mean, it's losing losing face that way by having to trade the guy though, again that was the previous regime, so maybe there's a little bit more of a willingness, but Jackson is valued probably can only go up because he's just gonna play shitload the rest of the year. Now, it seems like with all these guys out, and they'll be moving at a tank mode soon until all you can eat, you know, Booker. You could see him getting shut down or getting arrested at some point as well. Islets finished up here. Golden State Warriors. This'll be short delivers are twenty one million over the tax might estimate is that they would pay about fifty million tax payment. They are not in the repeater taxes just that when you get that far in the the per dollar per dollar amount really ratchets up. They have no vailable exceptions because they use the taxpayer mid level onto his cousins. They have other owned picks other than their twenty twenty second. And the warriors I made especially considering the fourteen guys that they have on roster right now are all they all kind of have a place in in this picture. Whether you know in the case of like Damian Jones had Jacob Evans. It's more of a future theoretical place. So it's hard to imagine them really doing anything because they're not going to sell now on like, let's say Sean, Nevada you brought that up earlier. Yeah. I think the only move I consider making if I were them, and it's just it's so anti Coon biographer, but I think especially with him suffering. The second pectoral injury missing. Another Europe development would be Damon Jones. He's making the minimum this year, but goes up to two point three million next year. And that's actually is guaranteed. So maybe if they, you know, obviously there second rounder is going to be number fifty seven or something this year might they might end up having the best record in the NBA by the time. It's all said and done even the ever. No. But I think just you could see them trying to get off Damian Jones. A they do have the full five point two four three million in cash to send. Although they typically like to save that for the draft to see if they can buy a second rounder, although known would sell them one last year lease not for a what they thought. A reasonable price. But yeah, I could see, you know, maybe their second rounder and cash to move Jones. It'd be the most logical move that we'd see. But really I mean now with cousins in the fold there is talk it of the buyout market and Robin Lopez as the dishes insurance for him. But they really don't need much at this point in time do that not in their playoff rotation. There wouldn't really be. I think adding another depth player at the two through four would be just useful to have especially if that player you could get like a non-guaranteed second year using the minimum like something like that. But again, that's not really through a trade or anything like that. I wonder if they would be willing to try to make a move on Jordan bell, I guess with looney a potential free agent, and they at least have him as restricted free agent bell. They might think they need to keep him around for next year. Obviously bell has fallen out of the rotation. That's been a disappointment. If I were another team I by trying to poach him still thinking, it'd be pretty good as an owner. Jordan bells restricted rights are very valuable because..

I think it should have been a six point lead and Vanderbilt with the ball, and they would have won the game. What what a minute a minute left in the game. If that. And at that point the game the game's over. I I don't think Tennessee could've made up the difference. But I mean, but give Tennessee a lot of credit. I mean, they hung in there. And I mean, they ended up, you know, surviving which is what a good team. If not a great team does. Yeah. They they they they're out of bounds plays that they ran that. I thought this year the hokies went the wrong way. Yeah. I will went to law. We had a lot of injuries and a lot of people transfer. And I'm just wondering what if if we don't win next year. What's a future you're talking about coach went to three years ago is hottest coach in America. And now we're wondering can you get the job done? I think it's early a like him very much, but Virginia Tech expects better. That's a that's a high caliber program. It's a high standard Frank beamer left behind. Thank you, very very much for the call. Call steep is in Louisville. Hey, steve. Hey, Paul, you know, the game last night. I thought was just a travesty that call at on that ho can hold call. I know that's supposed to be some porn of references year girl looking for. But the that whole that should have been a no call whatsoever. No foul on anybody. I mean, the Tennessee player came down put his arm outside of the vandy player Nygren, and he's the one that initiated the, you know, you know, listen, I I was watching the game as a Tennessee graduate with Vanderbilt graduate. So there was a lot of intensity going on. And I I I try to call it like I see it now. I know I know they reviewed it. And I understand the rule, but in real time, I thought it was a totally garbage call. It was it's Renison it. It's already happened. And a couple of times that I've seen that may be she'll get it. Right. But guess make a call. I mean that game. I mean, they weren't splitting atoms. Take a look at it. And then let everybody know what you see don't don't don't look at it. Like, you're you're trying to get the underbelly of the of a molecule there, you either see it or you don't see it. And if you don't see it then. Make the decision. Officiating was terrible. It was when you when you like you said when you go to the monitor and look at it for as long as they did and still can't get it. Right. That's that's that's really bad. Now. I was really surprised by the company, and I mean, do I think that call cost Andrew belt the game? Yes. I do. I think that call cost Andrew belt the game. Now, I say that as Tennessee graduate. Yeah. I think it should have been a six point lead and Vanderbilt with the ball, and they would have won the game. What what a minute a minute left in the game. If that. And at that point the game the game's over. I I don't I don't think Tennessee could've made up the difference. But I mean, but give Tennessee a lot of credit. I mean, they hung in there. And I mean, they ended up, you know, surviving which is what a good team. If not a great team does. Yeah. They they they they're out of bounce plays that they ran that. They scored on repeatedly were were amazing. Yeah. Now. That the game should never been should never. I I rarely turn off a game and genuinely feel badly for team, but I felt badly for Vanderbilt because. They game was decided by by the guys in the officiating outfits. Not by the players. Thank you very much for the call. Appreciate it. Neil is in Kentucky. Neil go. Right ahead. You're on the air. Okay. I could go back briefly company coaching care sale and Trump's collusion. Speculates your dad, whatever the the full you left to go to California. I believe it was some guy North Carolina called about the one two and three and recruiting and the.
"josh jackson" Discussed on Open Floor
"The the only thing I would criticize them for is is not just kind of waiting until the end of the year to deal with any of this because I think that trading him now like their leverage is non-existent because they've I don't know who leaked it that he wanted out. I think it was probably Dennis Smith camp. But like it just well it was reality. Look, I mean, he doesn't he doesn't fit and he's not good. So I think to me he's been a trade peace cents a month into the season. Once it became clear, Luca was going to be the guy like there was never a doubt to me. He was going to be out at some point. And mostly was clear. I just think if you're the Mavs try to manage it at least until June. And then try to trade him before the draft because right now, like if you're Phoenix or Orlando like you call the Mavs bluff say look like no one else is going to trade for this guy. And I don't know what Phoenix gives up like the idea people thrown out Mikhail bridges. I mean, I don't know. Would you do that trade if you were Phoenix? No. I don't think that they're going to think that's wishful thinking. That's yeah. Younger prospect. Yeah. I mean, I could easily see like him for Josh Jackson just trading disappointments, and maybe those better positional fits on both sides. So you try that. But yeah, I don't. There you go. That's kind of a Downer note to end on. But. Yeah. It's not the end of the world though. I mean, you were right. They built him up a little bit too much early day. But like, you know, the buzz built them up because he's athletic. He hasn't been. He wasn't good as a rookie. He has a big good Issaquah season. It happens not every major point guard is going to pan out, and they're going to be moving on from Dennis Smith junior. So quickly in Dallas, your head's going to spin six months from now, do you think they're going to be talking about Dennis Mitchell ever, or are they just going to be selling millions more, Luca Danni shirts? Do certainly Donncha makes it much easier to rebound. What would freak me out? If I were Mastan is the potential for the entire organization to react to this sixty game. Donncha sample hasn't even been sixty games. It's been like forty games and say, look, we are close. Let's go get him some help to win as soon as possible next year. Like if I were them. I would still be trying to play the long game. And and I think dodgers has been good enough to trick them into thinking they're closer than they actually are. And like the maps have been shortsighted over and over and over again over the last ten years or so, and so like, I would have my guard up if I were a mass band every just called them a top five happiest fed base. But maybe things will get more complicated over the next couple of months. I think you're right. It's safe to bed on Cuban making someone now moves here in the not-too-distant future and handing out some contracts that make our eyes bulge. I mean. It's it's definitely possible. But I'm not sure exactly what they're waiting on. I mean, Lucas Ben incredible. I mean, somebody listen to podcasts beginning of the year was comparing him to minimum wage at seven eleven and saying he was saying he was like a joke. Dalit Luke by. Bye. Maybe a rich man's Joe Ingles. And instead we've got a guy who's got more all-star katie's respond the other night. It was great all star. No, my my Luca opinions are so far out of step with mainstream basketball people that I just gonna keep it to myself all first ballot Luca. He's having a hell of a year. I think my comparison that I settled on at the end of everything was like Joe Johnson. I still feel pretty good about it. But he's been great. No. There's no question about it. Can we end on one other question from Kenny here? All right. So Kenny says this past Christmas, my brother decided to get me basketball tickets to see my favorite team take on the man the institution. It was wizards verse Spurs later this January going into two thousand nineteen I told myself that I would be a hundred percent honest, real stand-up guy, and I was going to eliminate even white lies for my social lexicon..
Robbie Anderson Robbie, Keenan Allen And Packers discussed on Fantasy Focus Football
"All right time now for one of our favorite segments of the week. It's wide receiver cornerback matchups with my clay. But before we get into the wide receiver cornerback matchup. We're going to solicit information from our good friend. Kyle soppe on the IBM insight of the week, featuring Robbie Anderson Robbie. Anderson. Romance by Packers this week. He's gone over fifteen point six points in consecutive games. And IBM Watson gives them a twenty two point seven percent chance to do it again this weekend. But he also carries a twelve point five percent bus chance, which would mean four or fewer points. You don't like that idea? Can it be a wide receiver three or a flex play for you this weekend? Mike the Packers don't have a lot defensively, but they do have to rookie Cornerbacks. That are impressive most specifically gyro exander. No question. He has been impressive. They also have Josh Jackson in there. They can good too. Yeah. He has been he's been up and down for sure, but shot and is a guy. Yeah. No question. He's an umbrella. He played outside. So he's been in the slot as of late. So they've some talent there for sure but they're still give up a ton of fantasy production. It's kind of like you think about Pittsburgh, right? Might kill them is really good song corner. But they get destroyed by slot receivers every every single week based on matchups against linebackers and safeties things along those lines unless the Packers have been destroyed by receivers all season long third-most. Fantasy points allowed to the permettre over the past two months. Six most over the past month, you'll get Robbie interested primarily perimeter receiver. Seventy six percent of the time. He's on the outside. He'll see the rookies Alexander and Jackson throughout this game. In his Kyle just pointed to he's getting volume as of late seven plus targets during five of his past teams seventy five and a touchdown during each of his past two games. So he is bounce back after that slow start, which is good. He's I think he's a very talented player. Sam darnold found a way to get him the football. And I think he is a wide receiver three or flexes weak little risky. But again, how many times we're going to say this throughout the show if you like that thirty to fifty range of receiver. It's a lot of a lot of guys with high ceilings and low floors. Yeah. No, no doubt about that. Especially in week sixteen when the stakes are so high, right? And the reality is a lot of people playing in the championship may not be making decisions about players that are kind of flimsy in terms of outlook. Right. Like, you have studs at you're going with. But there have been plenty of injuries. There have been you know, you may feel less confident because it quarterback doesn't. Play and as a pertains to a wide receiver. There are reasons to be a bit concerned be looking for reinforcements. Maybe no del. Maybe. No, no, Josh Gordon on Sunday. We'll see about Julio Jones, for example, players like that who could be out or limited. We'll see Keenan Allen, by the way, and what start with some news here before we get into the match up. He has with the ravens on Saturday night. But to find you it sounds like things are trending in the right direction here for Keenan Allen, right? And our Adam Schefter reporting today that Keenan Allen is expected to play you know, as I had mentioned earlier in the week. This is really a pain and functionality issue with a hip pointer, not a serious structural issue. But really how well could he function as the week progressed in his house like he's turned a corner, and they're feeling very optimistic about his ability to go I still maintain that the one thing you're concerned about is. If you look back at the video of when it got hurt he goes up in the air. He lands, you know, really hard directly on that. Right. Hip. It wouldn't take as much to flare it up and cause them to have to come out. But kim. Keenan Allen is one tough guy. And so I don't expect to see it. You know, I think to me is like the risk of stepping on the football field and having that injury last week. You just take that with a grain of salt and know that that's a possibility..
Meghan Markle's family 'banned' from top reality TV shows
"Talking TV Talk. About eight should? Also, watch it we've got Alexander's Alvin? On from the. Decider decided common. Great great website the affair is coming to an end is that right Alex, what do you know about this that is correct we. Don't know ton of information is currently running a season. Four that ends about mid August but. Decided to end the show on their own terms they're gonna do one more season after. This season five? And then that's, it for the shell we don't necessarily know how. Many episodes or what's it going to be on this plane what is this I'm sorry the I've never Yeah it's been? A big hit for oh Oh Attorney is really. Love More attorneys, the actress in it right from turning west Ruth, Wilson and Josh Jackson aka pac- from Dawson's creek Say they're going to wrap it up after another season which is, a very, nice for the actors, very nice for fans of the show to habit, and on its own terms Over at HBO they've got a hit on their hands with this Amy Adams show sharp objects haven't seen it yet, here great things about it people were hoping, there'd be more but it looks like maybe one season an app for this Yeah one of our great writer editors Megan keys it's actually currently out at the TCI which at the, television, critics association tour where there's ton of panel's going. On so she has a lot of coverage going. Up about it and one. Thing that happened was Casey. Is the head of. HBO and the very first panel, came out and said Nope new season two for sharp objects You know it's it's, interesting when, you look. At that compared to save big little lies both of them were based on books nobody really expected to, be a second season of big little? Lies, because there's no other books beyond, that but. According to him all of the actors on big allies were super into doing more they really wanted to pursue it. So they ended up doing on the other hand sharp objects. Very dark it's really hard character for Amy Adams to play with story is going to be done after one season, so, no season two for the show This is a story? That I, read, the sporting Alex and I didn't clear it with you I don't know. If you're aware of it but I. I'd love your comment on it Megan Markle the new Princess there in England there's now been a ban. On British television saying, that her family you know she has an extended family with a. Half brother and a half sister. I happy and say beat up the half brother, it gets, it gets. A little crazy they say that no member of Meghan Markle's fat family is allowed to appear on a. British reality show did you hear this No I haven't heard about that they say that damaging to, the reputation, of the royals so they've put out an edict saying in America if. You wanna do that, because I think her half. Sister is up for some American reality. Show but they say as far as great British television is concerned they won't have it good for I. Mean listen that's okay Not everybody needs to be on a reality. Show right I think ultimately. There right get something that. Megan Markle do and she. Was getting into royalty is, that her tire life would. Change forever and ultimately it is, going, to change your family's forever, and, it's it's kind of, nice that the other. Folks well just, profit offset. And, drag you know potentially dragged. Her name through the mud as things off it happened. With reality show so I'm all for that I'm still watching big brother I don't care about Julie ten less moon Vizor anything and I just have, to say please if if you like, fun television maybe a, little violent but I love preacher. I love, it, love it That. Show is absolutely bananas. Insane and it's only got crazier I was talking. To? Some folks most recent episode? Which opened up a pretty much, opens up with about five to ten minutes it takes place in one room. And honestly they have some of the best staged fights. On television it's all mostly one take the camera just. Kind, of zips around the room, has four, different characters are fighting it's funny it's exciting I love. It and three words crazy. Betty Buckley I mean I'm. Telling you Betty Buckley for. Betas enough but he is, Madam Lansdale and she is. She is a main Maine woman, wow, she's really a great actor, I, didn't know she had, that inner that's excellent. Right I'm watching. For that Do this story for me Carlton chooses is one of the guys who I created. Lost and I know he did some work with net. Flicks on a, show called locking key that I don't really know too much about but there's been some news about it what do we need to know there yeah so this is actually based on one of my favorite. Comic books of all time it's, written by Joe hill Stephen. King's son the art is by fantastic artist named Gabriel Rodriguez at some dancing around development for a really long time there was. And Joe hill working together as. Show. Runners for the show they're. Gonna do to ten episodes in skimpy. On at. Some. Point in the future And. In general pitch, for the, weird house up north has a bunch of magical keys that each do different things a family moves into the house and battles a dark entity who wants possession of all the keys sounds good Yes it's. Fantastic at a little bit of a little bit? Of a spoiler full disclosure I actually make, a small appearance in the book every. Really, yeah really so fingers crossed I'm going. To be on the. Of loss so then they can finish it properly they they've talked about that quite, a bit Linda Lavin, collagen cues they've. Said, they. Are done.
