"I actually did a double take when I saw the headline because I was like there must be a second meaning to this. But no, this means exactly what you think it does. When you read the headline Cam Newton informs world he has given up climaxing in March. So Cam Newton who wears weird hats, just for no reason was on James corden show the late late show last night. And he talked about how he's been giving things up month by month because he thinks it's going to test his mind make you stronger when the season comes around he'll be able to say to himself I have discipline. So know he challenged himself with reasonable things back in January eastern. I'm going to give up betting in February said, I'm going to go vegan. Now, I don't know if these things carry over to the next month or if he just for one month says I'm out on this. I gotta prove to myself, but climaxing is what he has given up for. March. He used some hand motions on the show to reveal that this is not just obstructing sexy time with the mother of his three children has long term girlfriend. But apparently any most self love as well. Yes, exactly. But he will love himself more by the end of this challenge because he'll be stronger. So thought Dottie will be. This was a Josh Hartnett movie. I listen, there's a lot of things that I've been forced to give up you know, because of diet and lifestyle changes aged. Yeah. Like I've been forced to give rest because I work every single day of the week. I have a buddy like this who give up sugar for a month or give up alcohol for a month. And then be right back at it. Everything in moderation camp. That's all I'll say brother, if you wanna, you know, happy life. Happy wife, if if the wife is cool you walking around all tilt all the time. About Gilady too. Right. No one's no one seems to be worried about her like if a woman said, I'm giving up climaxing for someone would be like the men were like, wow, what a brave soul.

"He could not in ten. It's not ten thing that he has his thing. Made it funnier. Funnier and stupider. Yeah. He would have tried to make goofy. Also. Yeah. And that would not have been good. Okay. What about Josh Hartnett for Pearl Harbor? No, I don't want anyone else. This isn't a fun game. I do have to say that. I did have a thing for Bianca for a very long time. So that was another reason I liked this movie. Julia stiles, she can go take a seat over to the side. I wanted to be with Bianca instead. She wanna learn French. One time. I when plus she she gets to be with JGL. So and edgy JJ L is I can connect more with him being the nerdy kid that doesn't get the girl ever the guy who's married with two kids. Yeah. I know, but like in high school that was me that was my that was my role. I learned to grow out of it. But I wasn't the bad boy from Australia that everyone like wanted to hang out with. I don't know if you learn to grow out of it though. I wouldn't go that far. All right. Well, it only has to work once and it has so just convinced Lena. And she's a little tract. I don't I don't know if she feels trescott kids and she's like well this ship sailed. I think she's satisfied with her choice. She's still living at her rom com. Dream of trying to champion. Change them that she's trying. He does want me to do the dishes more. But I don't think that's ever going to actually change. All right. All right. So. So that is so ten things I hate about you that was the top one on my list on Taylor's list. Sounds like Nick has been on my list. But I was pretty sure somebody was gonna choose right. I was I was hoping that it was old enough to Taylor wouldn't have gravitated towards that as much. No, no. This is my all time favorite because this one came out in nineteen ninety nine but that was just school to the t for me. I just remembered that in that movie. The opening song is on weeks. Oh, now, I'm gonna have to pay that takes it. It totally is because she likes shows the other like, I don't know like nicer girls singing along to that song and the cat pulls up next to them. And it's like I'll give a damn petition pay. Which is the song that Ronda Rousey comes out to in the WWE now because she is a regular on the WWE and also isn't seen in Shrek the first one. This. Yeah, we should have another episode about like Shrek music. I'm in connect with music music as a connective tissue. Yeah. Like soundtracks who? Okay. That's that put it on the soundtrack of ten things. I hate about you buy do to. In my CD case, it's on Spotify seizure. So yeah, what a girl wants. I have that soundtrack. I'm very attached to it emotionally. Did you go see what a man wants that just was released, but I'm going to on Friday with Ashley so get the superhero mask. That's all I remember from the from the trailer. Let's just wait. Just wait. You'll you'll see you laugh. Let you guys. I did go see that new rom com with rebel Wilson. Isn't it romantic? I enjoyed it very much. I haven't been out to see that we've been sick in. My also am its prime audience. So. Don't know that saying much. Did you go on a date or were you alone? I went who did I go tell some guy. It's an anime. They'll go with you. Oh, I went with Heidi is going to say I did go on a date this week. Guys, the more dates I go on the more. Okay. I become with the idea of dying alone. That's all I can say. But remember what I said earlier, it only has to work ones cat. Well that one just keep it has. Well, or remember what lesson comedies are you can change your guy..

"Day dot com. Back to you man crush. All right. So I'm gonna get off the that trail there because we get a little dark there. I'm gonna go with a guy the again. Late nineties. Early two thousand sky was huge, Josh Hartnett. Yeah, bro. Yeah, seriously, and the shittiest hairdo ever. But if you always pulled it off, like this dude was on like every beautiful person list out there who does like time magazine or fucking pool people, whatever the fuck tiger tiger beat. The foldout poster. We're just dragging tiger beats name through the mud come on guys. Well, I mean, if you think about in two thousand and two, this guy did Black Hawk Down was normal loser, huge movie Pearl Harbor, which I didn't really like. But it was big movie. Lucky number Slavin. He had forty days forty nights. I love that one attack on precinct. Thirteen await. No, that wasn't him every six thirteen was what the hell's other dudes name from training day Denzel even Ethan Hawke. Right. And that was assault on precinct. He was attack on. Yeah, it was very low budget. Not many people saw, but it was really good movie. He actually played Dennis FRANZ on NYPD blue for a season. Nobody knows. I talk about a talented actor of our time. It's Josh Hartnett has Dennis FRANZ..

"Dumb hard and it it really it really it should've i think had had a much bigger seems to it seems to now and that's another one that's always on tv is the you live on the tv there's a whole bunch of you on the tv yeah penny dreadful which i'm so mad is not coming back i i'm one of those fans like why we did three years three years is pretty good run clear show like that i felt like after we sort of we wasn't exactly plant and it but it made sense so it was a it was not an all of us who'd signed onto hadn't done a multiple year television show before i'd done cracker when i was eighteen years old and i did sixteen episodes of that right and then it's income back i think eva donna show called camelot didn't come back and then everybody else had just on movies so nobody really knew what to do the second year we got back we're like we're all still here what are we doing i thought we told the story really weird like freaked out about it so after the third season i think everybody was ready because it was it was a it took a lot of effort especially from john logan who wrote every episode prolific he's he's astounding the they mount that he can you notice tricky he finds good poetry he he he will have a character that he really loves most and he will he will give some of that poetry to these characters and it will be the perfect it would be the it would be the perfect poem for whatever's going on in that particular episode or that particular movie and and it will somehow it will be the microcosm of the entire film and and it when it works so sorry john i'm not to call you.

"Yeah it's just it just changes form yeah yeah but it's i love yeah i mean i i like that that exists now because it's really it's nice to have people come up to now who are like i said a younger saying oh i like this because years ago you wouldn't have had access to that did it would be because you were diving through the video store yeah working really hard to find it now it's so easy to just look person's name and you can find their whole filmography and pick it up so what are some of your favorites that you gotten to do well the ones that were most difficult together get together and then that i think the shooting experience was the best those that's kind of how i i that's my criteria for that so i would say mozart and the whale was one of them because that was it was one of those thank you it was one of those at the time i was being offered everything under the sun in this in out here in la wouldn't i had turned out some major films to do this and petr ness such a talented guy he had done this movie elling just before which is phenomenal unfortunately in the edit the production company that that paid for the movie the 'financiers decided that they wanted to kind of take it in a direction and he couldn't fight them off and so the film in the end didn't quite have the have the flavor of the field tone that it could have had but the production the experience of working on it and getting to know the guy who i played named his name is jerry newport was phenomenal experience and i really like i took a lot out of that movie personally and yeah that was one of my favorites and then lucky numbers levin was another one because that was all friends everyone everyone involved friend of mine wrote it friend of mine directed at me and some friends produced it and then we somehow got ben kingsley and morgan freeman and bruce willis and and lewd sign onto.

"Oh yeah and write down that title folks direct really plug in this one because it's such a good movie and you and samuel l jackson both play interesting character rod lurie wrote and directed it and you play very interesting layered characters and the story takes a couple of unexpected turns you think you know what you're watching but then maybe don't maybe somewhere else yeah i mean i i agree rod is a really talented director and writer he had at that point written and directed the contender that was that was fantastic and he had an amazing cast for that film that was joan allen jeff bridges gary oldman right it just incredible incredible film and when we signed onto this it was like a it was a very personal story for him and and we and we shot it quickly and everything came together i think really well it just didn't quite achieve audience i don't know i'm not quite sure why i never understand why some movies slip through the cracks do sometimes there are reasons you know this company went under or you know or something else happened you know or orphaned some way but this one deserved a bigger wider audience and still can get one because you can watch it that's that's the good thing of course about access now you can't see theater screen perhaps but you can you can experience the movie yeah and so it doesn't die doesn't go away.

"Yeah well i mean at least they're similar in that you were constantly running from something trying to kill very clear the film survive not let the thing kill you it's also mazing though because when you look at credits and things like that you there is a part of time where all of these really popular actors were in everything and so the fact that you were with someone like michelle williams who's fantastic and was so big because of dawson's creek and then the whole cast of the faculty because sean had us he was doing so well and i love divall and all those different people course elijah wood of john stewart be newer and all these like the older crowd of amazing people within youth wise even movie like oh which we both really like julia stiles all that so it's yeah it's wild to look back at that part where you sorta go on my god i remember that person wasn't everything there some of those actors in there and they're working more than i was but it was pretty pretty heavy a lot going on and so before i did the sort of eager movies i was kicking around doing a ton of small member i'm not trying to but we're talking about that all but do you remember having a moment on a set when you were watching a fellow actor and being impressed never terrible of course yeah there've been there've been a lot of those times in the early in the early years in the early years while i'm so geared toward what i've been working on recently that i i mean it to remember here's what i there was someone who impressed me quite a bit on the faculty that was jon stewart and it wasn't because of his performance and he would he will admit that he's not like acting it's not his i love but he was writing a book at the time and he was really he's about to release his first book so let me read some chapters from it.

"And you were part of that it was and not like historic low with the big age but like the idea that that these things are they still have resonance is exciting i just when people tell me younger people especially told me that they like those movies from that era i'm always astounded like i just worked with the young kid named when teague who's in a bunch of movies right now i think he's most recent movie was it very good he's very good name is he was blaming onto brother in this movie and i was asking him like just about what his friends are into and stuff like that and he told me like the faculty as well swear all the time it's something magical runner never stopped playing to the point where i almost feel like you know in movie theaters like my dad always talks about growing up the the movie would just play so you could come in half that's how i feel at the faculty i now know every scene so well that i go okay this is the c naked lady about negative lady it's fine we're good this is coming out i know it backwards and forward but even that looking looking at different stuff that you've been in it's just all there obviously pro your land that first job the first movie gay i don't know like i honestly i addition i didn't know my lines i was working on this tv show called cracker i my first gig was tv show co cracker and i landed that just on a lark essentially i was doing a play in new york was going to school in new york and someone saw me in the play asked me addition for a couple of couple of gigs and i landed to apparently the first one was this show called cracker and the other one that i didn't hear about until ten years ago when i was doing a play in london because the the casting director dianne crittenden came to see the play and came backstage afterward and said i always thought you were an arrogant little.

"It's crazy and we got to speak to elisha would last year that's one of the things i mentioned name i said it's just i remember seeing the faculty was the first time that you were sort of playing a bit of a grownup compared to the kid stuff so i remember you through everything and i remember every magazine having your face on it and i remember seeing you absolutely everywhere and it was also movie movie movie movie movie with all kinds of people all kinds and so it was what i loved about seeing penny dreadful was that i felt like look at us look at us grownups grownup i totally agree on up hardly but yeah it just it's as you have you you feel like you know someone a lived with them but you've lived with someone you're such alone time it's that same thing of people who are on tv shows like friends the reason you feel like you know that cast is because they came into your living room every day and so when they're actually on tv's effect direct connection begetter in someone's still seeing your name or when they said to us would you like to have josh on the my immediate response with all my god that would be so cool this is crazy it's it's such a weird experience to look back and actually registered the time sure so much so much has happened personally so much obviously i'm a father and and so i've lived in so many different places since since that time and i was just a kid you know it was just getting out of high school didn't expect this to be a long career and or career at all.
