"A ton of Heisman hype in Tyler Van Dyke, who was absolute nails. In the latter portion of last season for a Miami team that could have easily cash in their chips and said, you know what, we're done, things are over, but finished last season with nearly 3000 yards. The 62% completion rate. 25 touchdown passes to just 6 picks. And over his last 6 starts through 20 touchdowns while only getting intercepted three times. Now Van Dyck may not be surrounded by the best running backs or receivers group in the entire conference. But pain for a league that we don't know what we're going to get from a lot of the quarterbacks not named Devin Leary. Miami has to be extremely optimistic. If gaddis and Van Dyke get on the same page right out of the gates and we'll see exactly what this team can do in terms of putting big numbers on the scoreboard every single weekend. So you mentioned gaddis and that is a fantastic place to start. Because he was not Mario's first second third or even fourth choice. For Josh gaddis, it was an absolute no brainer leaving Michigan, right? It's more money. It's better whether it's a larger talent bed. You don't have to worry about your head coach flirting with the NFL every day. And most importantly, gaddis resets his coaching clock probably another three years. But if you follow Michigan football, when gaddis got his extension last summer, people were shocked. Paraphrasing here, but there were at least ten articles with a tone of Josh gaddis receives contract extension in spite of offensive woes. He wrote Alabama's talent into the Michigan job. Ann Arbor was the first time gaddis ever called plays. He sold horrible on Michigan fans on getting away from ground and pound and coined the phrase speed in space. And would tweet about it all day long. But there was any recognizable difference in efficiency with Michigan's offense in year one with goddess. Year two, Michigan's offense actually dipped from fringe top 25 to 42nd schedule adjusted efficiency. There wasn't anything transformation about Michigan's offense. It was inconsistent. It was sloppy. It didn't have an identity. Then last season, Michigan's offense got back into the range prior to gaddis arriving and what he achieved in year one. But I think it comes with an asterisk. Josh gattis conformed, right? Michigan went back to Harbaugh's ways of a physical run game. Michigan, 41% passed last season. There was nothing speed in space about Michigan's offense. It was like clubbing you with a sledgehammer. I believe gaddis is a question mark until proven otherwise. You also have the 3000 pound elephant in the room that is Tyler Van Dyck. For me, his sample size for success isn't large enough. So we have input a wide distribution range for the Keynes offense this season. Certainly Van Dyck has a big arm. He can make ungodly throws. And Lashley's offense. We respect more Van Dyck did finish top 5 in QBR. Early draft pundits basically have Van Dyck as QB three behind Stroud and young. But it's an interesting case study because Kane's fans desperately want a dear king back. And then when king got hurt, all the hype was about top 50 player in four star recruit Jake Garcia. Garcia gets hurt and Van Dyck wins the starting job heading into the Virginia game. And if you kind of parse these games and think about them, Van Dyke was miserable in the first halves of his first two starts against Virginia and UNC Miami lost both. You sneak past NC state at home with the wolf pack down 5 starters on defense. Van Dyke was on fire against Pitt early and they barely hung on late because he wasn't great in the second half. You look at the final four games and I know you referenced that a little bit towards the end of the season. But look at who they played. They played Georgia Tech a defense outside the top 100 and defensive efficiency. Duke a 118th in defense of efficiency. Tech with a lame duck coach and then your biggest rival and the defense trending best that Van Dyke faced late was FSU. Van Dyck had a negative EPA per play the first three quarters of that game. So my point is, I don't think the best practice is just to assume Van Dyck's in the same ballpark as drought and young. I kind of want to wait, see, make some large adjustments if need be as we get more data. It didn't look great in the spring game. And you kind of look at the rest of the offense and we'll go quickly there. I would expect more running from Miami. And people are probably going to cringe at that idea, knowing Miami is a line was not very good last season. They were outside the top 90 in line yards, opportunity rate, stuff right allowed EPA per rush lesson. You name it. But that's Mario's way. Now because the O line isn't big and there's only really three sure things on that unit. What I have heard, it's going to be more about angle, so it's going to be more pulling, more doubles, this really isn't the O line style Mario wants. He wants bigger guys. But I would expect improved O line play with one of the best teachers and Alex maribel who you referenced. You have jaylen knight and out of the backfield. I still have will Mallory Arroyo at tight end. Then you have Van Dyck's roommate, Xavier and the slot. That's basically going to make up most of Miami's passing game. The biggest question mark passed the offensive line is outside receivers..

"Who like at the very least they were trying to rehab. Their value like horford didn't play la. I dunno george hill played a single game there but they i mean they still had a lot of guys. They're i think they're going to be turning the keys over more to the poku and to the josh gattis the play through them as is rob said young. People really have nothing to contribute to society. I think it could be worse this year. Yeah no they're going to be really bad in terms of loss. There's there's no question there's not really a potential for them to click in some kind of synergy synergistic way. We're all of a sudden they're going go off a huge run like shays really good everything else. There's just glaring holes even within individual even more reliable contributors have huge holes in their games the lewd doors. And the who's and darius beazley's the these are you know decent interesting nba players. But i i'm not looking to stitched all those pieces together into a winning team right now. Well the question is actually a good one. Because he's probably the difference if we're talking about with the process like they didn't have a shea during the process era until joel embiid came back from qatar. Basically like we're ben. Simmons came back from mova foot at that point So how good it is. I think my my question here. Is he a guy you're building. The team around was or like is he ultimately destined to be the number two number three guy on a very good team to me. I've always kind of felt like he was at best a number two more likely number three guy but admittedly a lot lower on shade and a lot of people. A lot of people pencil him. In as like he's an all star obvious. All-star kinda guy as a ball dominant perimeter. Guy can punish you one on one right. His shot has to his credit. Basically gotten way better every single season that he's been in the league. He's gotten better at playmaking he's gotten better at slashing to the rim john a little bit of contact I would love to see him. Get a little bit stronger over the us. And maybe he's added that maybe he'll be those one of those ten pounds of muscle guys when we get to cheney can't next year But i mean next month. But we'll see i don't i don't know to me. Yeah to me. He is a third second guy. I don't ever see him being a number one. Like i don't ever i don't see him the way. I saw devon booker before his breakout. Like that's seemed obvious that was going to happen. I don't feel that way about shape..

You should go subscribe to immediately because its first episode is live from saturday night immediately after jacksonville state beat florida state jacksonville. Debut today by the way so yeah one show to feeds. I come to terms with are there can be only one by basically using a multi verse theory. There is still only one college football podcast during the during the time. We're we're doing this show. This is the one and during the time we're doing the other show that is the one aren't stay with. I've got us. What are what are we if not a big cow. That doesn't like you. How many stomachs do we have between. All the hoes depends for just like cow. Yeah right but that cow is extra hungry. So it's always hustling sure. What needs to mouths and therefore to feeds. And wow we are the mate. We are the main cause of climate crisis if this show and the other if it's a multi verse situation like ryan is positive. Which one is the ben affleck. And which one is the lego batman I would say focused after dark as gotta be lego batman. I would argue forecast after dark. Is ben affleck because it is making some weird choices and is up late. Yeah i wanna make and it went to the met gala honest. Yeah which isn't hey. I was talking to a animal about this. Licensed like big ten gala. That's like this because all all the met gala is really is just an excuse to like fundraise for an organization. That doesn't actually need money. So why don't we have these ostentatious fashion parties for conferences. Can we call it a. Yes the costume institute for the met have to fund itself. Though it does. But i am. I am told that a it has more money. They can possibly ever need and be that. It does not share any money like like an athletic association. That exists outs separate from a university. It doesn't share money what you know money. Money is sort of segregated from it so it's not raising money for the metropolitan museum of art. It's just the costume grow right. Because i thought the costume group was the only one that didn't get money from the met. Yes but i. I think that's because they just do the matt gail the gala. And they're like we don't need your money. Sounds like chicken egg situation. Also this is now the internet's only new york. Art scene podcast. Ooh here's some billy porter at the meat gala. And he's wearing a quarter is a god. He's wearing a switch out your mouth. He doesn't know anything about belly. Puerto rico case wearing a sweatshirt can tell. Tell him as being awful you pick you. "Get a false start again. We've we've seen We've seen some jitters from both sides tonight, Sean. Let's not let's not discount. The fact that he's half of the guys on the field right now probably have never played in front of a crowd like this. Obviously, Michigan played last week, but I don't think it's nearly a crowd. That was this raucous 2nd 15 after the penalty from the right hash Now it's back in Michigan territory at the 47 yard line. They don't play at night here often as well at home. There's only the 10th time in the history of the stadium airplane under the lights. McNamara try to dump it over the middle may have been tipped. Yep, The ball was intended for the tight end, Luke Schoonmaker. But that is down. And it kind of deflected it behind the intended receiver. McNamara is now two for seven. Throwing the football minus four yards. Huskies defense as advertised here so far, third and long, 15 to be exact forum stays in the running back At the moment, he's off the right hip of McNamara, who wipes his hands clean. Coram flips around the left hip of McNamara with two receivers to each side. Here comes three rushing for the Huskies passed on the left side, turning back toward his Johnson's kind of the 31 year. I'd like to touch back inside the numbers inside the hashes dives over the 20 yard line. There's your first explosive player, the football game. All the way to the 18 yard line game of 28 yards on the pass and catch back in America. Cornelius Johnson. That's exactly what I mentioned right there. Last series. Is it someone's going to have to step up for Ronnie Bell and Josh Gattis? There are recorded told me Cornelius Johnson, the most likely guy, a beautiful throw that time for McNamara is a go route down the left sideline. Put it right on the back shoulder for Johnson and he adjusted Well, from the 20th the spot hand off here to Corum will try and get through between tackled guard Left side handle game.

"Shaky jumper and they fixed it up and it's really opened up their game. The same can happen with scott barnes and if it does you're looking at a very scary player for the toronto raptors at number five the orlando magic. Got a gift with jalen suggs dropping to them. I know they've got a lot of guards. Rj hampton marquel foltz Who's who's out the guy. Gary harris or was i think it was someone else but the the orlando magic have a lot of guards. They can use it the spot but none are as explosive and as just as versatile as jalen suggs. I mean he was one of the most exciting players to watch last season as he led my apologies. As he led the kazakh bulldogs to a near perfect season. I mean his ability in the open court was obviously impressive to watch as he showed the skills to get buckets for himself and his teammates. I mean the full court bound passes showed the the crazy acrobatic layups in transition. He's got all of that athleticism to make spectacular plays happen Which he did regularly like making something out of nothing. It really did happen. Ranked second in the wc in transition scores with five point. Two points per game he also has great touch around the rim and has a great jump shot as he scored one point ten points per dribble jump. Shot the half court which was good for ninety third percentile. I mean when you have a guy that can do all these different things on the offensive end that certainly gonna help the orlando magic. Who had one of the worst offensive. Lau one of the worst offense as last season and with them having a lot guys that do other things like more. Colds is more known for being dribble. Penetration guy passing Jonathan isaac is more of a defensive juggernaut Mogambo saint thing of. What was his name. The guy from the chicago bulls That they got when carter junior so you don't really have a lot of guys that can you know do multiple offensive things like terrence. Ross shore own coal anthony. That was the other guard the other young guard that they have so. It's gonna be tough to see where jalen suggs really fits in here. I i would be very surprised if he starts at the beginning of the season. Especially when you got you know. Marco fold coming in after his injury. You might see gary harris. Get the nod since he's got the nba experience on this roster May be coal. Anthony starts at the beginning of the season while more folds gets back into the rhythm But i i don't know if they can survive with even though jalen folks very solid defender. I mean he had the motor And he's not very long but he showed the ability to destruct passing lanes with instincts and timing allowed only point six points per one on one possession that was good for the seventy fifth percentile. And he's one of those guys that does a lot of the dirty work. I mean rotating draw charges pursuing rebounds of weren't in his initial area. He does a lot of that Small things that really. Don't show up on the on the on the box score but you absolutely love if you're fan of and so it's going to be very interesting to see how he fits into this lineup. But the atlanta magic had to select them he was the best guy available. And he certainly has the ability to become an all star star humi. He's got the ability on both ends of the floor. He can certainly be one of those two way guards in the league. That just does a little bit of everything like i said you do. Need to see a little bit more from his catch and shoot jump shots like off the dribble because there are a lot of guys on this orlando magic squad that need the ball in their hands. Like co anthony marquel folds terrence ross even though terrence ross can certainly play off the wall. But those first to the anthony on marco full. Those guys primarily work on the ball. So you're going to need to see jalen suggs to have a little bit more variety in his offensive game. Which i'm sure he can absolutely do. But he does have the potential to be a leader of an mba offense and a great one at that so very strong selection selection from the orlando magic and when they absolutely had to make they could not have passed on. Jalen subs after. He dropped them at number five so Now we're going to go and look at the rest of the picks and just go real quickly about him. Josh giddy from i believe australia the guard o'casey went and picked them up with the first pick of their new rebuild in. This might be a little bit of a you know difficult. Pick to really think about. Because i mean josh giddy doesn't have a lot to his game aside from his dribble penetration and vision. And i'm not really sure how that's gonna work with. Shake just alexander lewd door how baton you new you know rebuild gonna start. I mean he certainly showed some jump shot in his game but it really is not that next level but he did play with with pros last season and looked very solid his ability to rebound the ball assist score inside the paint yet a little bit of everything in his game. So josh gattis certainly has the potential to be a very strong player. Possibly even even an all-star if he really puts it all together defensively he has bitten his game as wells very solid with his hands. can you know has that knack for forgetting the ball on his hands on the ball and causing disruption on offense is But i'm still a little bit skeptical about it Especially with a couple other guys left on the on. The board that i think would have been very solid for their rebuild like davey and mitchell maybe even a james book night thought any one of those would have been a very solid And the same thing for the next.

jalen suggs orlando Rj hampton marquel foltz Gary harris kazakh bulldogs terrence ross Jonathan isaac scott barnes Ross shore gary harris toronto raptors Lau anthony chicago bulls anthony marquel jalen Colds terrence Marco carter

"Be streamed on the locked on nba youtube channel on thursday chad. Appreciate your time man. I guess let me jump right off with what we saw today. And specifically the deal between memphis and howard beck and i talked about this before you came on so we kind of know what new orleans is doing with clear cap space trying to make a deal. Potentially kyle lowry the name that they're interested in but as far as going from seventeen to ten for memphis. I mean you'll hear some people say well. It's not a big difference between seventeen ten. Some people say there is a big difference. Seven ten like in your mind. How much real estate is there between the seventeenth. Pick and the tenth peck. Yeah there significant. I probably have a group. That's about seven to fourteen in a tier and then there's a drop off again. So essentially what i would say memphis jumped to tear in the type of prospect. They're getting from like a tier four prospect up to a tier three type prospect at ten. And they're sort of at the high end of that tier right so there they got about the third pick in that in that tier which is which is not a bad place to be. I think there's a considerable upgrade for memphis here especially given the the guys that they're targeting they're looking for a big wing a big scoring wing a wing that can be a multi opposition defender. Those guys are in high demand in this draft and so none of them. We're going to sitting there likely at seventeen. So franz wagner i think is the is the guy if he's there at ten. I'm not sure that he'll be there at ten. But he's an analytic star lane and memphis one of those front offices that rely heavily on analytics. When they're looking at guys. Josh gattis name. That i've heard out of australia as well. One of the passers in this draft that zaire williams guy who wasn't my top ten to start. The season had a terrible season at stanford but lots of mitigating circumstances. That make you wonder whether he's been underrated is a six ten bouncy ball handling sweet shooting. Know prototypical.

"So these are in dribble and the dominant hand. They can just lead to the cup with that one hands. It could tie up the other. What it doesn't matter it's an it's uncontested shot at the rim with the dominant hand. Now right other guys though cost them over get a better angle at the at a bank angle for a layup great. I know it can hinder. We can work on shooting. I mean we've seen transformational From blake griffin within. I would say a two to four years fan right. it makes me optimistic for sharieff cooper. Now that he's in produce balance up a little bit and from what i know he's still six foot four so i must media but you blaming so far to teach and his ability to pass over to and you're told me if he could just shoot thirty five percents ranch if you could just shoot three percent and just be song On some kind of plants. That's a scary liquor. So the i'm in a blaming how about you. Yeah i think it's for me. It's nick ball handling making because i think Like i don't know. I try and think in my head like what is harder to to actually develop an i think in some ways it is the i think ball handling. Maybe harder to develop like you. Can i guess the way that is like especially like looking at the clippers. Like they're kind of i mean this is the most endearing way possible like their offense was very like a frankenstein mac nation. Like and paul. George are two of like they're very pro. Predetermined is maybe an way to put. But they're very much so like re-based playmakers like and that's of course you know like most flaming are basing things off ridge but the best Playmakers or guys who do not need to make reads or not. They don't make reads but they can just see the floor and they may to this. Yes exactly like proactive playmakers. So in some ways. I like i look at it like okay. Well one of the reasons why. I think josh gattis. The the i haven't fifth player in the draft is because he has that ability already. The ball handling is where. It's gonna come for him. So i guess you can look at it like that because i i mean maybe it. Ball handling and playmaker like almost synonymous with each other in terms of how i view. Because i think like if you have a guy who could come in with that elite ball handling handling ability. I don't know if he's going to become an intuitive playmaker. Like that's just really hard to see happening but then conversely it's like okay. Well if there's a guy coming in who is a genius playmaker but they can't dribble for shit like is that going to happen like i mean. Joe ingles is fantastic playmaker. But he's not a great ball hamper. So that's why he's never. I mean part of it too is like he doesn't have the athletic tools but Like that's the kind of thing that you have to weigh. So i think to an extent though it's it's probably the ball handling because like you mentioned like looking at staff like he really was a combo guard when he came into like he didn't have like the true dribble ability that he does like Like just thinking about where he got through with his handle is kind of ridiculous and same thing with like paul george. All george came in with like i mean. He was fairly fricken raw when he came into the nba out of fresno state..

"I go put him on the second sida of actions like let's let's on the weak side of somebody over rotates. He's going to be able to tonight. And i mean he's lost a little bit of a step now but we've seen that you talk about extreme value out of doing essentially the stuff. That's on tape in his us. He is richard junior year. Learn right so combo guards with guards. In general i do agree like the the ability to score is probably i mean i. It's got to be one of the if not the biggest like attribute. i believe. Guard should have whatever you're looking like. For example with the point forward you know avert. Relatively i would i would say. It's sort of a budding archetype. I think we're seeing. It happened a law and a lot more. If you can't handle the ball as wing it's slowly becoming an issue in the modern nba With a lot of the point forward in this draft. You guys like jalen johnson in a sense you also cade cunningham and josh gattis sort of like a big point guard but whenever you look at guys like them like scotty. Barnes even like trend in waterford towards the end of the draft. What kind of what kind of things for players like that. Do you do sort of look for. That's a very versatile position ally. These guys can do multiple things How do you kind of gauge whether or not you know one player is higher than the other I mean the strength of their strengths. So now you have. Somebody getting best attributes that he's you know a huge point guard over. The top events has a bunch of audacious mountains so that is the thing that teams will play him for. I think that there is a certain title player. Who's good at a lot of things and that can be really dangerous to elemental situation because a coach might be asking them to do five or six things at an mba loveland eric. Game i mean the the position. I think of it. Like as a organizational. Senator like the before is expected to fit. Whatever shape is needed because of the lineup. So like if you're five can't shoot while you're you're if you're not a particularly good volume shooters like lots of you're being asked to so now you're uncomfortable spot or you know if you have all the ball handlers All handlers regards needed much reps. Maybe you have you know. You're a jalen. Johnson whom strength is with ball hands. You may not be allowed to do that much. So you have to adapt. So i think having really strong strengths and having a clear usage to like coaches offices on a rookie deal where you know that they will be placed in that context. Like i've definitely had times where i evaluate. Somebody i thought they could do..

"My problem is that these guys can get hurt easily. And not hurt easily. But they don't know when to get dap there. You've got to show their toughness. They're gonna try to do things that show that they're tough. And this is that kind of coach. If you ain't jumping up, you ain't coming in the game. Right? That's I mean, that's a great point. And that's the thing that we focus on with especially McNamara, You know, because we saw it last year, and you know he was Pretty light as a young kid, and you know, that was the thing with a guy like when Joe Milton is here. You looked at him, and he said, Well, he's 225 £240 or whatever. Maybe maybe more right on a good day. Who knows? I mean, he was the type of guy that you you thought? Well, he can withstand some of this. It doesn't work out. You go back to this situation now, but you're dealing with a smaller player who's got to Or to be able to handle that, because as we've seen the way Josh Goddesses offense works, the quarterback run threat really does have to be there. Jamie like it does have to be there like all times for this to really work the way they wanted to work. As we've seen if you take away like when Patterson was digged up that one year and everybody knew it right and everybody knew he wasn't going to pull the ball when everyone knows That that option is taken away. It becomes that much easier to defend right and he talked about having the ability to make these final adjustments based on what the defense is giving me in terms of a look. An alignment if you take one of those away from your place, because your quarterback can't handle you know enough On the ground. Then all of a sudden you got to change a lot about what you're doing. So those are all things that they have to, you know, take into account as well and strength gains and all those things and being smart gave me like you said, is a big one being smart. You know, that's Pulling it when you need to pull it, but also making sure that if it's not, you know an obvious whatever sometimes pulling it and only getting three yards is still productive. Because at least you're keeping them honest. You know what I mean? So so those are situations. I think that they have to go through the quarterbacks and make sure everybody knows like you said they're on the same page there that you know you want to Make sure that your guy if you find a guy that you like that he's able to stand up and take all this for 12 games, at least so you know, that's a big big factor here. Exactly And you know, it's in its key. I mean, the other thing is, I mean, Nick, we're not fooling ourselves. Look, Josh Gattis is in his third year. I mean, I got to see So much, much improved. With this office. I've got to see. I mean, they made changes to the offense. Look, my card is now in the running back, Coach. Somebody you really people have wanted I want. Yeah, you know. So, um, you got I mean, I don't know about Ceron more. I think that I've been told that the offensive lineman love him. They know that he's a tough coach, but he does it with a labor of love. I need to see improvement from this offensive life. A lot of these guys got a lot of playing time. Or some playing time when they did play games last year, So I want to see improvement with them, Um, the wide receivers they lost. They lost one of the best y receivers they had, but A. A lot of these young guys got a chance to play. I want to see how they improved. I mean, really, I think what what You want to see here from all these guys that you just mentioned there's people in every position group, you know, like you said, that all got time last year, and a lot of them got time and in some pretty Hot under the collar situations right where it wasn't comfortable, and it wasn't very fun. So you take those lessons and you internalize them. And what really, I think what you need to see from Gattis offense here in your three is is a quickness and a crispness and, you know, play to play. That we haven't seen yet, You know, And I think you know what I'm talking about. When? When you watch Michigan play. You can always tell when They're free and clear on offense, and you can tell when they're thinking way too much, And there's way too many times. In the last two seasons. Really? And urban pockets where you can tell that it sort of clicked. You know, later on in 2019, you can tell those guys started to get it there. You know the reaction times were faster. Guys are coming off the ball faster. Exploding. You know these types of things, but We saw this a lot last year would be a little sluggish because guys are thinking too much and guys don't really know where to go, and we don't really know what we're doing on this one. Or he doesn't know what he's doing on that one. You know those types of things. Always show up, and it makes you look slower than you are. So I think really, What we need to see here is that Kind of lag. Time needs to go away. If that can all go away, and these guys can just play up to their athletic potential, then you're gonna have a chance to hang with anybody. You come across because they still have recruited as we know. At a good level. They've still got good players in the program. As we know, Um they got offensive lineman the program that if they transfer tomorrow would have a you know a list of people calling them longer than you know, any of us could put together, so I mean, they have guys that can play. It's just a matter of now. Are you going to get the time on task? Right? Are you going to get all the details down and yeah, Jamie, Like you said, That's on Josh. Get it. This is your three for him, and you know all the organizational hiccups. Got smoothing out now.

Joe Milton Josh Gattis Josh 12 games Patterson Jamie 2019 McNamara last year Josh Goddesses Nick Gattis tomorrow third year £240 three yards 225 Michigan Ceron three

"They don't You don't wanna, you know, Tempus captive, So you know what? He made some nice plays out there and, you know whatever, and just leave it at that. But when you sit there and disrespect the guy You know, it's just It's typical of what Michigan is portrayed as you know, just I guess it's just this goes along with that that narrative, so I don't know. But I'm surprised that tuckered in player back at you know at E Guess what? What does it matter? They got people drafted or God or hopefully or whatever, you know they came up here last Halloween. Handle the business. You know what I mean? So that makes Michigan feel better that they got more Draft IX and I guess maybe that's what we're out for. You know, they had to start pay attention of the pros as they move on from Michigan. That's what we have start rooting for, but Ultimately, I really think it has to come back to Take care of what needs to be taken care of on Saturdays, so Yes. Okay for me, you guys. You guys can make it like I said the guy was easy. He's an assistant of an assistant. He shouldn't. He shouldn't have done it, but he did it. And, yeah, it was bad form. Bad taste. Whatever you want to call it. It wasn't like Jim. Hardball sent it out. It wasn't like it was Josh Gattis. It wasn't like it was Uh, the new Mike MacDonald. It was an assistant of an assistant who sent out a tweet them. Will he be recommended? Probably. But I can't tell you for sure. Because they won't let us know. So I can't tell you that He was publicly reprimanded or was reprimanded represented, but That's what I'm sure someone slapped him on the hand. I could guarantee it because we're sitting here talking about It just where it is. We're all still comes back on the ship back. Where whole? However you wanna look at whoever when it doesn't come off, Jim backlit phone. It doesn't come off looking again. Freedom, freedom of speech. I mean, look, they know they don't turn off their their Twitter. I would make them turn it off. Anybody who's on my football staff are on my football team. They wouldn't have Twitter. They wouldn't have it. They wouldn't. They wouldn't and we would monitor it all the time, But I guess they don't want to do that. Yes, I know. But you know, you could just hopefully, from here on out, Michigan takes care of the business and start with a Michigan state. So when when they make these public comments that you know what Workbook looking sparkly, say back to him, but Ultimately, you know? Yes, it is what it is. So you guys have a great show. We'll talk to you. Thanks, Terry. Thanks, Terry present over there. What? What? What? I was just saying, you know, again. Love love our guy Terry insulin, longtime caller over there, But what it comes back to man is again just It's however, you wanna put it talk is cheap. This that Michigan's got to go back it up on the field. That's just what it what it comes down to. When you hear certain things like this, you know again. It's okay to me. It's okay to talk. As long as you're backing it up. Going back there. We had two different instances. We talked about 100 Dickinson commenting. I mean, they're pretty much almost the exact same comments. Hate to see it or whatever. I don't have the tweets up in for me, but they were pretty pretty darn close to the exact same comments. But you have one. He gets a little bit more of a pass again. I think being a student athlete What you have one coming from a winner where it's Hey, that's okay. As long you can go out there and talk as long as you back it up this Michigan football program. We get a little bit of excitement. We start talking. We're not able to back it up, and that's been a pretty consistent theme. So I mean, J. Mo, that goes all the way back to when you were playing because it was 86. Your quarterback went out there and guaranteed to win. And what did your coach say up Now? We got to go back up our quarterback and we got to go out there and win that game. And you guys did what I'm gonna say this. What did he say? What's wrong? I mean, we just got we just got spanked. Minnesota. Look, gives you back it up. Please go back it up, Coach Osborne, you're gonna have to do something. I mean, look like I said. Sometimes we take with guys with young people say, and we gas lighted all the way through. We're still talking about my card said I know what? Stop it. That's happened. Bush. His comments would back all over the place if we didn't win that game that year. Way we will be talking about it from East Lansing of this party. It's party helmet. Just I mean, uh, The $100,000 had a tweet before that year about Little brother, which we would still be talking about if they would have lost that game. So again, you can talk as long as you go back it up, and unfortunately, that's one thing. This Michigan football program has not done. For a very long time. So again, it's fine if you want to get out there and talk, but you better make sure you beat Michigan State next year if you're gonna do it. Yeah, I promise. Hey, J. Mo, how those comments looking horrible after the Minnesota game came out there and said, Yeah, I guarantee you will be in Ohio State. They went out there lost the game. If we went out there last again. We have been in trouble. We would have been in trouble. We wouldn't we? Hey, both him back, Louise, shut everybody down. No access to the press Know nothing. You will not talk and the guys that did talk. Would be running running in the morning. It'll be it'll be that what? Six a.m. Michigan By so Yeah, You got it, right. That's an equivalent of taking your phone from you. And you will never say anything ever again. So if we would've lost what? I got one question for you because I know I got a divided here in the second. My man. Michael Vick ran a 472 as a 40 year old running the 40. We like you up right now. Oh, good stadium, And we lined you up at the 40. What do you clocking? Are you running sub five? Yeah. Running for it. Yeah. Before eight. Oh, man, we went for it. You got to get some streaming some Facebook live something. Get you up, man. We got people to see this working. I've been working out a little bit so much. Playback. Pandemic break..

"The guy. They dragged the yesterday Penny Fool. Why a Davis for William? I really like that like that, where they could just run the ball. Run the ball play action. I can get some good wide receiver third around they could come back and draft You know, to make all the owners around here. Have you take a draft Nico Power And they come back or draft Rondell more from producing a third round up there, But I don't know who's gonna be there. But I just think, believe it or not everything from the place for that man and I really Like the move they done with the GM and the hiring and the process. And You know, 80 90 days. Maybe they still nice player tonight. Maybe a couple more. In the third round. They got the Rams third round pick and Do you think started falling the blade for him? Yeah. You know, Troy, they're all done on the offensive line and with running backs. I mean, you just went through all the running backs when you can't play for this isn't Michigan last year with, you know, Josh Gattis rolling for running back the other guys. And you already mentioned how the tie you know he wasn't a right tackle on. You know, he wasn't a starter, but you can play him on the inside and they paid so much money for him. They He's going to be on the team. So there's your left guard mean you know what? The offensive line like they you got Jackson. You've got a hell of Italian. The guards. You got rag now. You got Decker, and now you've got Panay Sewell out. There are right tackle. They're all set and you know what? Carry on Johnson. He's had some injury problems. But when you put him into a tandem with DeAndre Swift and then you should call Williams, right? Right? Yeah, they're they're all set. You're all set. I think you gotta look on that defense of side. Dennis. You got to go get some guys that I think there's a lot of guys that it's I mean, it was said by Nick Bomb Gardener from the athletic Look, There's guys over on that side. There are guys available that could start on this Detroit Lions team. Right away immediately and make an impact, So we need to start looking on the other side of the ball and get you some defensive players that can make an impact. And this is where you make your your bones here like you first round. Yeah. You want a hit on that? I was looking at the all protein first team from last year. David Bach CRE and Corey Lindsay from Green Bay Ball first team All pro. Those guys were both fifth round picks. You find you find yourself in all pro in the fifth round. Now you're talking. Now. The rest of these guys are all first round picks. Jack Conklin out of Michigan State Quit Nelson, the Notre Dame guard. He was a first rounder Brandon. Sheriff from Washington. He was AH, first team all pro last year at guard. They drafted him as a tackle kicked him inside. So three first rounders into fifth rounders. But as you go on here, finding guys later in the draft No, that's the name of the game and get them not just to be productive. But the being, you know stars in this league. That's how 7349 and 8 10 50. Let's go to J. J. What's up, JJ. Well, my name is a boot harbors. Sorry. I've been really, really busy The last couple weeks of projects and teaching and stuff like that. But I finally caught up today. I got to call him by the way. Wednesday morning. You know who I heard on CBS radio? My quick it. No kill Morris. You're that guy that was here Accused Jamie. He played for the New York Giants. You know that guy? Known. Well, I talked to him yesterday. Yeah, well, he was on CBS radio, right When I get on Now, somebody's calling in on my phone. So I'm gonna try this. I just have to wait for it to go. I apologize, but the readers Draft again sucked. They reach for somebody in the first round, and so then the lines might have did something nice about my Raiders. They never recovered since that Marcus JaMarcus Russell. Yeah. And I gotta ask you a question. Dennis and Jamie You've got Tom, Um Ron Dunmore, other than Anthony Carter. He's the best wide receiver I've seen in the big 10. Because you need a first round draft pick. Hey, he did opt out, and he I mean, no, he did not doubt He got hurt That sophomore year. Remember, JJ. And then generally, Jamie. I saw up on the field. Well, that guy's game breaker. I think size, I think size and injury concerns those of the two things there, But I'm with you. You know if you sit there at number nine. I want the lines to select him. I You're right. Like he's one of those guys that you watch and he takes your breath away. I don't know what you say. Best. Y Hey, hey, time, everyone. One Claire, Hold on. J. J. Hey, Sean Austin Limitation on Austin, Avon. Avon, Austin. Remember him West West West Virginia. He was at West Virginia. He was just like he was just like Rondell more. I mean, a great player. When he got to this when he got to the next level, he couldn't do the things he was doing in college. So that could scare a lot of my God. Wait a buck 60. Hey, man, that was recently time He had the ball, but he would only missed one game is college career. He was a threat Every time I listen. I'm jealous of Rondell more. I might listen. I know Cris Carter, not of them, David Toral, You know, I'm saying he's better than them in my eyes. What I think they don't get. What the hell do are? No, I'm just a stupid swimmer. I'll say this. You know, it was nice to see you know. Quitting paced story and stuff like that, and what? We're lucky to have some kind of people like that. But you know what? You got to give our bloody patch but shelled a little credit for developing a couple of players over there. I still think he's the best coach in the Baytown. When you put everything together. That's my opinion. Let you to some other collars Go blue and Dennis from the old sea view out there, Colin. Thanks. Appreciate it, JJ. Uh, yeah, we're gonna take. Hey, I'm taking Philly Eat. What up, Billy? How you doing, man? It was so boys playing hurt again. Man feels damn good. No. What the hell happened? I got some major GI issues here, but Yeah, we have that late night Whiskey. You know, e so much me. All that old but just bought the damn thing. That's two days ago, but I don't know whatever. Anyway, I thought quietly, right? No more. The best wide receiver since Anthony Carter in the big town. No, I was changing. Bellboy godfather of all wide receivers. So you know you do with the conversation always starts with Anthony Carter. You compare it. You compare everybody that him. You don't compare him to anybody. And that goes for anybody in the Michigan uniforms, too. And brain Lynn and Terrell ever every every one of them. Do even, uh, even death anyway. I say What? I was the pick when you guys were talking about him last week, and you were saying how, how Next? The prick was saying that he's got like this incredible work work ethic. I think it's Jerry Rice when I hear things like that, when you get that kind of work ethic combined with talent. I almost always the guy is just unbelievable. So that's what I'm expecting out of him and pride of his injury. He was, was he not the man? So that is one thing not to mention He's gonna be the Dawsons Got him, right? So that means he's reunited with two. Uh so that's a huge help. And, uh, is good. And, uh, you know, little Dante Woz. From what? I remember what it was taken snaps away from that kid. So I mean, what does that saved? How could this guy is? You know what I mean? Um You guys threw out a name the other day, and I was dying, laughing because it instantaneously another name popped up. You say Puget sound in automatically. I was thinking like our fight, And then you guys were talking about that was like, Hey, guys in my lifetime were you actually saved her at school and know the one guy that went It was crazy. It was like, you know, so I sort of got the thinking..

"Hit Man. Ms. Lerner at the Where are you? Two. Don't joke, Wherever it was, wasn't too and with his look alike in the windshield as I see him again, you know who's on now? Nothing but the whole truth. Isil's Oh, from Wolverines Wire. What's up, Isaiah? How is it going? Sounds like the new coaching staff is going out there. And they're working. They're they're working to Fanny's office as I was told in the program's store this morning. First off got gotta, you know, reiterate what I said affair that Wanda dies at the end of this new episode of Wind Up, making, Damn it. No, It's not true. Don't believe him. You're right is that it's at the beginning at the beginning. Well, these are no early on then. Uh, you know, it's obviously you see you're seeing between signing day on and today that with the new coaching staff is really able to do it. It's not even the new coaching staff, right? You look at signing day with Shaun Nua. Really seems to have stepped up his game last in the last week and a half. I mean, you got three defensive tackles knew of being the primary guy and all of them, But then you get a little bit of an assist with the rush on Benny Flip from Ron Bellamy. Uh, that I think goes to show you how important he is going to be a scar is trying to keep some of the top targets in From this local area from going anywhere else. I think that's a huge blow, particularly to Mel Tucker on Michigan State, right, because if they want to try to go out and get some of these guys, they're not gonna be able to have as much luck. Keep in mind that Bellamy has been a big part of the SMS Be circuit is really close with Curtis Blackwell. Curtis Black will already has an ax to grind when it comes to Michigan State. S Oh, it's uh s o. It becomes that much more difficult to started. Seeming like, you know, maybe a mess. You could sneak in there a little bit and get some of those guys, especially with Benny initially committing to the Spartans and then Didn't go that way. But the guy that I've been I've had my eye on since he got hired has been Mo linguist, the co defensive coordinator, cornerbacks coach. He's the primary recruiter on Both of the commitments, presumably both safeties. Four stars out of Tennessee. Uh, incredible what he's been able to do in short order, especially. Listen. I knew that one was going to commit today. I didn't know that Both were like I had a pre right for the for the first one, but they both fell within seconds of each other. Like I had the pre right sentence. All the 11 committed. And the Nets Groves. So I started to put the tweet into the to the article. And then Cody Jones commits the same time. Uh, these are guys that you wouldn't necessarily expect to see Michigan and be able to To get. They haven't really impressive offer sheet coming down in SEC country. No, there's no Georgia, Alabama, those offers sheets, but you do have Texas A and M you do you have? Tennessee was obviously reeling from everything that just happened, But, you know, I'm sure there's a little bit of extra energy and juice with Josh Heupel there. Uh So they have really nice offer sheets. They have a lot of Ah, you know, Notre Dame Penn State. All of those teams that you that is leased on the same level is Michigan and normally, this is not the type of guy that Michigan would be able to get. And you got two of them in one day. I think that's ah. There. You see, You see linguists flexing a little bit on Twitter afterwards, saying You know what? Michigan Nation you? This is what you need to be ready for. This is what's gonna happen. And Josh Gattis parroted it, uh, you know, And so you've now got a staff that's just full of Top notch recruiters. George Hello is part of one of those guys is recruitments like McDonald's a part of the other. You've got to tell your staff now they can recruit and now you're seeing what happens when you have a full court press. Compared to before when I would say like they've got Full court press going for a guy like Will Johnson that full court press isn't quite the same. Compared to what this one is now, right? Because now you have an entire staff full of guys that are hungry to go out and bring in the next generation of Wolverines, not just three or four. This is an Ohio State style now they don't have the results is Ohio State yet? But this is an Ohio State style staff in that every single guy on the staff is an avid recruiter, so you can see the philosophy change at work with the morning like this morning, which Kept me plenty busy. Unexpectedly. Well, you did say you were half expecting the yet a pre right on the one kid. And it makes a little bit of sense. Even though the inks barely dry on national signing day that you get Ah, couple commitments you realize you get to the Next cycle, and some guys want to get out of the way. My question to you is this weekend. Do I need to have my phone during the Super Bowl? The beyond a commitment watchers. No. Can I go and watch the big game on Sunday without thinking of Michigan's gonna be pulling? You know some additional four stars in from the south? Well, I'm not entirely sure, because I think that that this could be e think we're kind of going back to what things were when Harbaugh first arrived in that Things can happen very quickly. I would say that. Keep your eye out. I don't I don't know of anyone. Specifically, I have one. Excuse me. One guy in mind. He's a three star and Miles Pollard. If he wants a the same high school as Junior Coulson, he seems to be He doesn't have any crystal balls and for him yet, But He seems to be a guy that's trending towards Michigan. But like you look like what just happened with these two guys. They didn't have any crystal balls indicating that they were going to Michigan until yesterday. I believe so This is how fast something can happen with this staff. S so it's kind of Ah. You know, be ready for it whenever it happens, And so the class is full, and certainly they've got some room to work, having only brought in 23 guys the last cycle, having a bevy of transfers, a couple guys who Decided to go. To go to the NFL as well. So they've got the room to really make this thing with this class. Really stand out. Not to mention you. You'll be losing more guys next year. Just you know whether it be the draft other, you know other Avenues and such. I just think it's an exciting time. If you're if you're a Michigan fan, because.

"Doing the ones and twos at the Taj Mahal. It. As I said on the other side we were gonna have Austin meets from the athletic. And he made some bold predict projections. And I mean, I wanted to get into it with him because you know why not? So Hey, Austin, how you doing? I am good man. How are you doing? Doing well, doing well. So asked, And you wrote about some bowl berth. Boat projection predictions. Excuse me, and, uh I mean, Where'd you quit? Where? Where did this in school where this inspiration come from? You know, I did this last year, too, And I think what I did it last January. Yeah, that was a different world. If you think back to where we were a year ago, and everything that's happened since then. So I most of the predictions I made last January did not come through for obvious reasons, but nonetheless. Expected to do it again. I don't know if that was very smart, but I did it. I'm right with you on the predictions for last year, my didn't come. Uh, I didn't do very good either. Austin. You know there's a but you can you could look at all eight. You know if you go to The athletic A couple that jumped out to me in the one here. It's talked about a lot, but you said, we'll see a noticeably different Jim Harbaugh in 2021. Now we all know how everything went down with the contract negotiation and whether he was gonna be here if he was gonna take a pro job, but A lot of you know you're on an arbor station. A lot of people call in and talk about Harbaugh and say they want to see that old fire back. They want to see the old Jim Harbaugh. Is that what you're talking about? When you're saying you'll see a different Harbaugh coming up next year. Yeah, I think so. And I'd be curious to know what you guys think. But you know, my perspective is a little bit different, because, you know, I've only been in Ann Arbor two years I moved here before the 39th season and you got what I came here. I think I had a picture in my head of what it would be like to cover Jim Harbaugh. Yeah, I sort of had a you know, I think the picture that a lot of people have of Jim Harbaugh from a distance, which is that he's really this quirky character and you know that's really kind of Polarizing personality. Um, you know, Yes. Super competitive. All of that. You know, I didn't really see it in the way that I expected and talking to people around here who have been here the whole time that Jim Harbaugh has been here They do say that you know, there was a noticeable change. At some point there were I didn't see my gym Marbach tone Thanks down a little bit. And you know, I just wonder if at this point in his tenure of Michigan, you know, it's pretty clear with that was that new contract that There's not a lot of guarantees here. You know, he's kind of got one last shot to get this thing turned around, and you know it feels to me. Uh, like, maybe he's going to try to get back. So a little bit of you know what it is that made him successful. Every everywhere he's been, you know every stop. He's been. He's had success, and I kind of think that we'll see him try to get back to that a little bit next season. You know what? Awesome if I follow up, you know, you said, what do we think? I think that you know he came in and you know, taking shots at Nick's saving with satellite camps, and I was like, Wow, man, Here's a guy that can Could say something that makes seven and later on, taking a shot at Urban Meyer, you know, via Twitter is like what Michigan fans loved that. I think because of the record, he had to tone it down a little bit like You could only say so much stuff when you know the when you're not having the success, But I do think after a couple years, people are like, you know, your offense is antiquated yak. We asked, too. Hey, brought in. Josh Gattis, and I'm going to turn the keys over to the offense, and I think that's what Michigan fans and are hoping and expecting is that he's going to be more hands on and he's going to be that guy that was like That met Pete Carroll or Jim Schwartz. And when you know he was in the pros, it was like, what's your deal? Now? You know that kind of thing. I back it up, you know, talk something and then and then back it up like I wouldn't mind seeing him say Yeah. You know what? We are gonna be No house Take this year. You know something like that. Yeah, You know, as I said in the piece, uh, he didn't always make a lot of friends. Uh, some of the places seen with that, but he won a lot of games and Excuse like you marvel at his best when he's not really worried about what anybody else says or thinks he's you know, he's just out there being himself and I think, you know, I also wonder if maybe him taken over the responsibility of coaching the quarterbacks. If that also what kind of feel to him like Get back to his roots a little bit, but I'm sure it was hard for him to hand over the keys in the offense. Josh Gattis, those kind of a dude saying for Jim, our body to do and I wonder if him get back to coaching. The quarterbacks will help him. Just recapture a little bit of what made him such a successful coach early in his career. Well, let's hope it does again. You listen to the Austin meets with the athletic saw Austin. Go ahead. Give us something Tell. Tell the people out there. Some of your bold prediction. Huh? One.

"Take long to see if he's been able to transform. Whatever. Last year's team was to a team that isn't gonna let their heads they're for drop the rope Whenever something gets tough, you know, I mean, like, Well, no, We've seen themes here before the play for each other and play for their staff to play for everybody the whole way through and you know that team Think their intentions were probably in the right space, but it just didn't work so well, we'll know if if they could get this thing turned around in terms of the culture Um, but, you know, it's not gonna be enough. I guess that's probably the bigger question. Again. You're listening to Nick Bomb gardener from the athletic. I guess my question Nick, and it goes back to coaching hiring and it's great. Mike McDonald is moving forward. He hired a linebacker coach. And you know we're trying to figure out what he's going to run. But my thing is, we've talked about this before Jim Harbaugh. Not only does he need to have involvement in the in the offense, but he needs to have involvement in the defense any if he's gonna You know if he's going to be the CEO of this thing and let the offensive coordinator run his and let the defense of coordinated run he is, he's gotta have saying things that need to be done Also correct. I mean, he's got like that. But I'm saying yes. I think that that's the thing. I think it's it's probably a situation. I don't know that Jim would ever be. I don't know this but you know his personality would suggest to me that he doesn't have much of a problem. Saying something if you think that needs to be said, But you know, I mean, I don't know. I don't know if there was a dynamic there were you know, it's I know he was very Diver John Brown's defense. I mean, he let him run the defense. Don Brown was very, I mean, when they made defensive fires, obviously those air Jim's fires, but you know, a lot of those guys were done brown guys guys have done Brown worked with and Knew that he'd be able to, you know, have a report with and all that sort of thing, But to your point, Jamie, No, I think that you're right. I think that maybe You know, I don't know if that was too much or not. I don't know what their individual you know. Maybe that worked for them until they didn't but like Mike McDonald's gonna be if he's a TV series 33 34 years old John Brown was, you know, much older and seasoned and had been down the road and maybe you trust his eye a little more. I don't know. I don't know how that would work. But no, you're right. I mean, I think that Having the pulse of your entire team means your entire team. I mean, it means That they want to play for you, you know, And I think that I don't think that that's I don't think it's a situation where the entire roster like I don't wanna play for this guy. I don't think that's the case. I don't think that's the case at all. I think there's a lot of guys that we've seen this. We've seen recruits. They? They were happy that Jim's back. We've seen players sort of suggest the same thing. But It's like you just need to find another gear there with it. It needs to be better. And it's Seymour needs two more clear and concise and Just better organized all the way around and You know, I don't know. You bring them You bring people in that can help you with that. And maybe that'll push the right buttons and Fix some of that for you. But You know, we'll see. I mean, shuffle. The staff's not the worst idea. Obviously you needed to do it, so we'll see if You can kind of make the most of it. I'm with you on that, like, two years ago, the offense, Uh, it seemed like it was an admission with the speed in space. And Gattis even said it. Josh Gattis was like, Yeah, I'm taking Jim Harbaugh on his word, he said. This is gonna be my offense and On and for Jim. Now, however, he's I don't know if he needs it, recreate himself for be more hands on. But yeah, I mean part of this, and he mentioned it again today like that. I didn't like what he said. This is we're handling it. It's the process. You guys don't know anything about it. But then he had mentioned it with one word a plan and then he mentioned it again. Today. This plan that he's working on Yeah, I think a lot of it would be a trenchant into what we're just talking about. I think he knows that he's He's got to be able to Strengthen his connection with his team. I just I don't think it's like so bad that it's You know this thing that could never be fixed or whatever, because it has been here before. We've seen teams come through here before that really, really enjoyed playing for Jim. Um, you know we've seen and I Jim cares about his guys They does. It's not. That's not something he's making up for. Just Saying to say it. I mean, he does. He wants them all to go on and have we got every time he goes and makes one of these recruiting presentations of the same thing. You know, I want you to come here and experience everything Michigan has to offer and I want you to have You know a better life because of it, and I want you to know that you can come back here and we can help you along the way That's important to him. That's a big deal, but also like he's here to coach football, and he's here to connect with these guys. That has to happen, too. So I think it's it's about being more efficient, probably across the board and You know? Look, I mean, he said chances to shuffle before. Um he shuffled it many times. This is, you know, I mean, there can't be many more shuffles left in the deck. I think at some point, it's gotta be. You gotta go with it. We'll see if it works. And if it doesn't then And you call Spade a spade.

"So You're gonna have to take a pay cut. So I think that there was definitely an ego hit, And I'm sure that there was some due diligence made before he made his signing. But as far as actually entertaining and actual opportunity other than Michigan of I was told that that was just never the case. Well again. You're listening toe Isaiah Hole from Wolverines Wire. I said, Look, I'm gonna break it down this way. If he if he if he didn't have any NFL minds or thinking about it. You're saying that he was licking his wounds because he felt slighted because he got a lower contract offered. Okay, I get that. But I mean, he did get it. He did get an extension, something that he thought he would get. So it was coming. It shouldn't itch the athletic director as well as the head goat should have spoke about it. Say hey, You're going to get a little bit less because we're not doing as well as we as we thought. We were doing e mean, did they not s. So you're saying that they never spoke until he said the contract to him and he got upset about the contract. No, I'm not. I'm not saying that. I think I'm saying more. That is just that he had to take some timeto, you know, Mull it over like anyone would If you're being offered 50% less of what you're You're currently making right. Like I don't think it's I think that he knew that that was going to be the case that I'm sure that they had conversed. I don't know for sure. And I'm speculating here. I'm sure that they had conversed about what it was probably going to eventually be, but There's a difference between talking about what will eventually be and actually getting it in front of you, right And being told, here's what you're you know, Here's what you're worth to us right now. And You know, having the highest steam of himself that Jim Harbaugh has. I mean, that could be a little bit of Ah. A little bit of a blow. So it's ah again. I'm speculating a little bit there, but I don't think that that's out of the realm of Of possibility that they had talked, you know, at least discussed what the terms might look like beforehand, But I don't know. Well, while you're in a speculative mood here, what would we think the incentive would be? Like the kicker, like Beat Ohio State. Here's another four million Think Ohio State in the big 10. I mean that I mean all the goals, right problem I would imagine, like a million Ohio State Million Big 10 Million college football playoff Million national championship. Something like that, right? Like You know, get a big payday if you if you, you know, meet each of your goals. Yeah, right. I agree with that fully. Why not go for it? Go for the jugular on that when you beat Ohio State and take us to Indianapolis. You get you Get your money back. You could be an elite coach again. You couldn't get paid like an elite coach again. I guess that's what I'm saying. So look. Go ahead. As you say, and then you can re negotiate your terms. And if you start to do that, with regularity, you know and make that more of ah, more. You know more of a common thing like it was, but not nothing can You know you could be motivated so much by the, you know, just the desire. You could be motivated so much by things like Ohio State troll trolling. Michigan's decision like they did last night, but you know there's a drink right now. Yeah, but you know, there's nothing that you can conducive kind of motivates someone more than putting seven figures dangling out of carrot and say. Here's how you do it. You said, you know, that makes it not just another game, right? For all of the it's just another week, you know, Championship type week. Yeah. Hey, I say if I get slide another one in there. Are there any home run hires out there that you think like some Michigan fans that you know, Mike be, you know, just feeling kind of lukewarm about this. The Mike McDonald, linebacker coach from rape from the Ravens. His name is out there Whether he's going to be the just the D. C or Cody see Joe more heads. Name continues to get bandied about left and right. You know, the former Penn State offensive coordinator are those home run hires Are there Are there other home? Potential home run hires? No to you out there. I feel like I'll feel better about Mike McDonald, if they, you know, make him a code defensive coordinator and add Tim Banks, the Homer co defensive coordinator over at Penn State. Kind of seems like that would be a absolute home run The Joe Morehead ones just an obvious home run, right? Repair him with Josh Gattis. You don't necessarily demote Josh Gattis. But you make you know you have that co offensive coordinator situation which a lot of teams Ohio State I mean, Alabama had that Michigan have that, essentially, so I think it would be a good move. Rightto have those co coordinators guys that can bounce their ideas off of each other. I think when you look at some of the issues that have plagued Michigan in the last couple years last two years, particularly or I'll go ahead and say three is that there hasn't been The there hasn't been the bouncing of ideas the way that there was earlier in Harbaugh's 10 year. It's been one man in charge of the defense. One man in charge of the offense and when they're doing something that for the lack of a better word is stupid. And there's been things that have been stupid that they've done. They don't get fixed because there's no one to check them because Harbaugh has delegated everything to them. Tow run their own side of the show. So I think that at least if you're still gonna delegate having a couple of guys out there and saying, like, Well, you know, you know this isn't working. You've got it. We've got to do this because the thing you're doing here is dumb. Then you get things fixed. That's I think the way to go. But, yeah, I think more head and banks would be the ones that I'd really looked at with bad McDaniels also out, and I don't know if there's any other attrition or not. I mean, I'm sure there's a couple others that you can You can look at, you know, toe potentially bring in No, You're right. Isaiah and toe add on the debt. Isaiah hope from the Wolverines wired to add on to that have a depth chart of coaches and what their positions are. And who says what?.
