"Two more games that interest me and then we can get into the two-minute drill here, Albert. The Jets and the Patriots and Robert Sala is as much between a rock and a hard place as anyone I've ever seen in coaching. Impossible situation, yeah. It's an impossible situation and I give him so much credit. And again, I'm in the Northeast in New Jersey. I had WFAN on while I was driving around today. Everyone's saying, oh, how could you have done this? How could you have done this? How could you have not had this person, that person? The only what-if scenario that even makes a degree of sense to me is if you thought Zach needed that much help, why didn't you make him the number three? And why didn't you have like Teddy Bridgewater as your backup or something like that? Josh Dobbs. Josh Dobbs, yeah. Dude, they'd be like 11 and 6 with Josh Dobbs. But I give them so much credit because I've trashed so many organizations for just pulling the plug on guys and saying, well, didn't work, we tried, goes through, we just kind of ruined your reputation around the league, sorry about that. And the Jets, I think, really did try to reverse a little bit of their personal history. I mean, this was Sam Darnold, Mark Sanchez, Geno Smith, all that stuff, Christian Hackenberg. They tried and they've really, really tried, but now it's too late and you don't have any other resources and there's no one else that's going to come and save the day. I don't think Matt Ryan, who maybe if he's still working out, OK, great. But I mean, who else? Carson Wentz? You don't want that either. That's not going to help. You know, I mean, like that's the problem is like that it's so I think like if there's one thing that you misjudged, if you're Joe Douglas and Robert Sola that you really have to look at here is what Zach could you are you in position to turn the team back over to Zach Wilson if Aaron Rodgers gets hurt? Exactly. Because that like to me is like the real question, because no one can project that Rodgers is going to get hurt. Right. Like the real question when you're making the decision, I know their first choice was to keep Zach Wilson on the roster and keep developing him. And that's fine. But I think one very important question to have asked them back in March or April was, can we hand the team back over to Zach Wilson based on the way last year went? And you can remember last year, the stuff that happened with Garrett Wilson, the stuff that I mean, like that team did not believe in Zach Wilson. Right. Like those players did not believe in Zach Wilson. And so I think it's important and was important in March and April to ask that question. And it's not a great sign. I don't know how much of that game you watched yesterday, Connor. Too much. But there was Garrett Wilson again, like looking incredibly frustrated on the sideline. And you just like you wonder, can the can the coaches sell Zach Wilson to the team anymore? And what makes it even more complicated is once you go away from Zach Wilson, now there's no turning back. Right. So like people are like, well, can you sit him down for a couple of weeks? No. Once you bench him, the next time you bench him, like that's it. Because there's no way you're ever going to be able to sell him to the players in that roster anymore if you do that again. So now you're talking about being like a Tim Boyle or bust situation or whoever else you can bring in. And that comes down to what your options are at the position. And they aren't great right now. Now, maybe in three or four or five weeks, that changes. We get closer to the trade deadline and there are some teams that are willing to wave the white flag. But right now, it's an incredibly difficult situation. If you want to second guess Robert Saul and Joe Douglas for that. I think what you really have to look at again is going back to March and April and saying, did they do enough to ask that question? Can we actually hand the team over to Zach Wilson in an emergency again? Because the answer might have been no. Yeah. But you're right. And I don't know what else there is for them to do. I think as a team, you know, as a group of people in a social situation, you know what it is? It's like, are you as bad at basketball as I am? I'm really bad at basketball. Are you bad at basketball? I used to be okay at pick up like when I was. I never like play. I played freshman year, but I was okay pick up basketball. But I'd probably be. If I went out and tried now, I'd be terrible. Okay. So, you know, there was a place by us in Scranton called Riverfront. And that's where sort of your sort of your big Scranton ballers used to hang out. And my friends and I would go there and you'd wait forever to get in. You'd finally get to play. And, you know, you know, I'm five foot seven. So I'm taking the ball up and my my job is to distribute like nobody in there is asking me to take any shots. But every now and then, you know, you want to take one. So, yes, you fire one off the backboard. And then from that moment on, everybody looks at you with just a such a consistent disgust and they just don't want you anywhere near the ball. And I get it. You know, you want to stay on the court, you want to keep playing. And that's what that's the body language that feedback that Zach Wilson is getting throughout this game. Like everyone around him is just like, we can't let this guy near the foot. There's no juice. There's no juice. And it sucks because nobody wanted Zach Wilson to work out more than. Well, Zach Wilson definitely wanted it more than me. I would say I was probably like third or fourth because I just think it would be it would be so good, be so healthy for the organization. And I hate giving up on people, but it's it'd be great. Like, honestly, it'd be great because it'd be a great lesson on patience with quarterbacks. Yeah, we we do throw them out really quickly. And I and I think the shame of it is like so part of this was and I know a huge part of the decision for Robert and Joe was we really think he needs to hit pause and kind of start over again. And that was the intention here. And the problem is when that guy is the second quarterback on your roster, like that plan blows up if the starter gets hurt. And that's what happened here. And so I think that that's where your argument that maybe you could make him the third quarterback. Maybe you should have made him the third quarterback actually makes a lot of sense, you know, where it's weird because he's a second overall pick a couple of years ago. But could you just give him a developmental year? Because maybe that's what he really needs. And now he's not getting it. And I mean, this is going to kill his confidence, you know, like because I don't know. I mean, it's hard to crawl into somebody's head, but watching him the watching him yesterday, he looks like a guy who's afraid to make a mistake. And that's a bad place for a player like him to be. Or even if you're the Jets, like, I don't know, I'm going through the 2023 NFL draft like your team is so good. Like Will McDonald. OK. And then you needed a center in the second round. You needed offensive tackle help in the fourth round after that. OK. You know, OK, you're taking a running back at a pit in the fifth round. You're taking a linebacker in the sixth round. You're taking a cornerback in the sixth round. A tight end in the seventh round. Could one of those picks have been Clayton Toon? Clayton Toon, the kid from who's a kid from TCU.

"Elsewhere in surprising world, Arizona beats Dallas, which is just hilarious. You knew the trapdoor was coming at some point for the Cowboys, though. I have no other take on this game except for it was hilarious. And I wrote about this. I think we all owe Jonathan Gannon a certain degree of apology. We ripped that guy to shreds after the Cardinals flight plan documentary trailer was leaked. And, you know, he was asking people to kind of get on the bus or to not get on the bus or to take an Uber to work or whatever it was. You know, whatever that was. And I still maintain that was framed and cut in a way that was so mean to Gannon, almost that I thought that someone was trying to get back at him for something. Yeah. I mean, that's how you cut it like Michael Scott talking in the office. That was exactly how that thing was cut. We're supposed to, as a viewer, think that that guy is a buffoon when you cut it that way. And so I thought I thought someone was just trying to take him out. But I drew the comparison in the column to, hey, we all said the same thing about Nick Sirianni. Everything is fine with him. We made fun of him after a couple of press conferences. And this is a serious assistant like and he's built his staff similar to the way Sirianni built his staff with young guys. You know, Nick Rawls and Drew Petzing are his coordinators and both those guys, I believe, are well Rawls is really young. I think Rawls is like 28, 29. I would say he's the youngest coordinator in the NFL by a pretty large degree. Right. And Petzing's like 35, 36. So, I mean, I think like the one that you can't say is that that team is waving a white flag. They certainly aren't. I mean, they led in the fourth quarter against the commanders. They led in the fourth quarter against the Giants. The roster is not very good. I think people there are pretty good. I think people there, if you talk to them privately, they'd be open about that. But, I mean, effort has not been the issue. Getting players to play hasn't been the issue. And it looks to me like schematically, it's like a sound team, you know, which is a good sign for a first year coaching staff. Yeah. I mean, they're getting, Josh Dobbs is playing really well. He's playing his way into it. It's a great story too, man. It's an awesome story. Like just waiting your turn and did a lot of the right things. And, you know, he really like impressed the right coach, you know, and he impressed Petzing. And Petzing saw him as an option to start and went and got him. And, yeah, I mean, he looks great. Like he's done to be that patient and to jump through all those hoops and do everything that he needed to do and be in a position to take advantage of. It's really, really impressive because I can tell you, like there are a lot of guys who've been in those sorts of positions over the years where it's like, all right, like I'm the backup quarterback now. So I'm going to do this for the next 10 years and I'll cut out of here and play golf at four o'clock every day, you know. And obviously Josh Dobbs stayed really locked in the whole time, which is not an easy thing to do. Yeah, we're living that, we're podcasting at four o'clock. We're not even playing golf. You know, that's an enviable lifestyle. I would take that. Yeah, I think that they're doing so many neat things, especially on the first few drives where you can script those plays. And teams are having a hard time trying to figure out what Drew's going to drop. I just, I think they're a lot of fun. I think that much like the Brian Flores dolphins, it's just Gannon is not going to ever be bad enough and his staff is not ever going to be bad enough to free fall tank. And so, you know, that that way you come into that next season with a little bit of momentum, almost like the Bears did before they kind of, you know, everything went haywire with them. You know, they got the number one pick in the draft, but they did it with some forward momentum. And I think that there's an art to that. And I do think Arizona is probably trending in that direction somehow. And what's fascinating about it, too, is like when Kyler Murray comes back, he's like legitimately going to be playing to keep Caleb Williams and Drake May off the roster.

"So it's going to be an interesting year for Kyler Murray, to say the least. So here's the thing. So I was going to talk about the Cardinals here in a second. We can just get right into them because they're somehow oddly fascinating. Look, what kills me about this is you gave Colt McCoy first team snaps the whole offseason, the entire offseason. It was like, yeah, Colt's the guy, Colt's the guy, Colt's the guy. Then you get to this point in the year and you cut him. And like, look, I get it if you're like, all right, Clayton Toomes are going to be the guy. He outplayed him. I don't think there's any argument that Clayton Toome at this point in his career is better than Colt McCoy. But OK, fine. If you want to go young, fair enough. But then you bring in Josh Dobbs and everybody's like, well, yeah, he knows Drew Petzing's system, who's a first year offensive coordinator with Arizona. They spent a year together in Cleveland. Dobbs was sitting on the bench. It's not like Josh Dobbs throwing 700 passes in this offense and now he's going to come in here and everybody's assuming he's going to get this job. If I am a player on the Cardinals, I am asking, pleading, begging, get me out of here at all costs. There was a presser the other day, they showed Zach Ertz and there was like a still photo that one of the reporters tweet out. Zach Ertz looked like he would have left if he had to pay his way to get out of there. I've never seen somebody look so depressed in a press conference. I don't know if I'm going to play week one thinking, yeah, bro, you probably don't want to play in any of these games because you're going to get a couple of hospital balls thrown to you by Dobbs or by Toome. Do you think, I think we probably both agree pretty safely they're going to be the worst team in football. Do you think they're going to make a real run at 0-17? I know that's really, really hard to do. But do you think that they're going to be in the ballpark? They'll be around the area and, you know, you get an extra game now to go 0-17. We haven't had that before. So it'll be pretty historic there. So, yeah, you know, like I mentioned, man, I was a training camp for the Cardinals. And if it wasn't for Buda Baker being on the field, I would not recognize anybody on that roster. I kept bringing out the sheet. Okay, who's that guy? Who's that guy? Yeah, James Conner and Marquise Brown are there too. But the way I look at this roster, it's like outside of Buda Baker, you don't really have anybody who's going to be a Pro Bowler or an All-Pro. Just be in the conversation to be a top five playmaker. So they were lucky to at least get Buda Baker back and say, you know, I forget that trade and come back. We need your leadership. But outside of that, man, it's a bunch of young guys, unknown guys. And that defense, I think I could say without hesitation, will be the worst in the NFL. But they do have Buda Baker at least. Jonathan Gannon is set up quite nicely to be one and done. That team, and look, the Cardinals have been the Cardinals for quite some time. I mean, this is an original NFL franchise that has mostly been horrific, its entire existence. The Bidwell family, not exactly the Rooney's or the Maras. So, yeah, look, we don't need to spend any more time on them. On the AFC side, there weren't too many like shocking cuts. See, the only thing I kind of wanted to get into is just the Patriots. So they cut Bailey Zappi, who got a cup of coffee with him last year as a rookie. You know, there was that brief moment in like October, November, I guess. You can actually get the job over Mac Jones, and then he obviously doesn't. Now he gets cut. Then there's Malik Cunningham, who was a rookie, who was at the Senior Bowl this year. A lot of people thought, OK, they might put in like some packages for him, super athletic guy. Cut him too. So now you're sitting there going, OK, well, what is the plan with doing it? I mean, obviously, Mac Jones is the starter. But they were the only team to be sitting there with one quarterback on the roster after cut-down day. It was bizarre. I mean, I understand you always bring guys back to practice, squad, things of that nature. But you look at New England, and it's not as though they went out and then just immediately signed the guy right away. And you go, OK, well, that's what they were doing.

Todd Bowles might have to join that exciting fray after round one if they lose to Dallas, but keep an eye on that rule. Rule number 14, but we're of any team that reminds you of the 2007 giants. We actually have the Giants the 2023 giants. Rule number 15, make sure the team of the home field advantage actually has a home field advantage. Probably the Jaguars are a good candidate for that. We watched Josh Dobbs almost go in there and win. Rule number 16 take one last look at the quarterbacks and remember there's plenty of time. To bet against any QB or coach. And then rule number 17, don't try to be a hero. Just try to win money. Those are the game we manifest the rules that we're going into 2023 with and we are going to do right now. The $1 million picks. For round one, we are up $11,000 after winning $900,000 of fake money in week 18. I told you it would be in the positive, we scrapped our way back. It's a little humiliating to only be up $11,000, but at the same time hilarious. Round one, we are putting 5 $100,000 on three games that I really like. The first one is the Chargers minus two and a half against the Jaguars. It seems like Mike Williams is playing. I just think this line should be three or higher. I think the Chargers have more talent. I think there's a strong case to be made that the Jaguars won their playoff game last week against Josh Dobbs, who, by the way, almost beat them and could have beaten them. And Trevor Lawrence left a lot of throws on the table. I think the Jags just get into round one as their victory. The Chargers have a

"They get me excited about how players feel about a team or a teammate. Sound bite king. Sound biting, yeah. Van noy had a quote about staley and I don't know whether it was like about whether Sean Payton McGowan. It was some sort of something with a coach. And he had this passionate paragraph long quote about what an awesome coach Brandon staley is and it makes him mad and people don't realize he cares about every single person in this locker room. And I was like, that's a good sign. There's something because this guy was supposed to be a defensive girl and their defense has been pretty bad. The entire time he's been there. But at least if van noy is impressed by him, I like that. And I think the way they talk about Herbert as a team and as a coaching staff, it's like they revere Herbert. Every week you hear stuff like that guy is just he's a freak. He's amazing. It's all the stuff you want to hear if you're a great quarterback. We got a wild card entrance survey for the NFL staff gone up on the ringer and one of the questions was like, what coach has the most to prove going into this playoffs and it's unequivocally a 100% Brandon staley. You can't have these players and particularly this quarterback. Fail to make a playoffs last year. Make it this year and then lose to a 9 and a Jaguars team. You can't. I am as big of a Brandon staley defender as you'll find. We prove for the puddings and eaten. You can not have a quarterback this good and not win playoff games. So it is. They just can't beat themselves. Just don't beat yourself. Just steer the ship, note them turnovers, note them fourth and one, fourth and one and a half, where you run the full back dive, none of that shit. All right, last game. By the way, a couple of gambling rules for that game. Discount rule number 9, discount anything that happened in the first 5 to 6 weeks of the season. Just throw that out. We're doing that here. Rule number 12, but where have any team that celebrated the previous weekend's victory like it had won the Super Bowl? Borderline Jags. All right, settle down, guys. You beat Josh Dobbs. He wasn't in the league 17 days ago. Nice win. Congrats. SHAD and Omar Khan and Tony Khan and kind of having a big celebration with odors. Okay, guys, this is a game. Week 19s coming up. All right, last one, we have the ravens and the Bengals, and I hate this line. It looks like Huntley's playing. I don't know why the line is in 6. We're getting an extra four points with the Bengal without ravens here. It's plus ten. So this would violate rule number 6, never pick an underdog unless you genuinely believe that it has a chance to win. On the bright side, rule number ten, when in doubt, gravitate toward one pick that would screw over the most gamblers and experts and definitely go against the single worst game where you know, which is a Bengals tease, which I think everybody had this week. Right. Rule number 11 is don't talk yourself into a terrible QB ever for any reason. I don't think Huntley's terrible, but he's also not good. Huntley's stats are alarming. His last 7 games, they have not scored 20 points in any of the last 7 starts he's had. 1913, ten, 16, three, 17, and 13. They're 23rd offense, DB away without Lamar. They've only scored 6 touchdowns. There's a lot of reasons to think Bengals Bengals Bengals. I am concerned about two things, Ben solak. One, division rivalry, the ravens, it's just always 13 to 9, heading in the fourth quarter. Just always is. That's one. Should we be more concerned that the Bengals lost the right side of their line? Feels like that's something. Certainly not nothing. The Tyler Huntley stepping in for Lamar. And I agree that he hasn't been terrible. But one of the things we have to remember is usually when backup quarterbacks enter offenses, there are existing pieces in place to help that man. And that is not that. Huntley and brown's games serve as such a stark reminder of how much this ship is built out of Lamar. This is Lamar or busted. Greg Roman is not elevating. Even Mark Andrews, who's like good, just has his drops where you're like, dude, come on. It's the backup with you have to catch it. This is killing us. They're cut into Sean Jackson to sign Sammy Watkins. That's as dire of straits as it gets in 2022. So yeah, could Huntley have a good enough game? Yes, but like the ravens offense itself isn't enough to me like warrant any interest. What does warrant interest is this ravens defense, as you say, against the Joe burrow Bengals. Burrow has had 5 games this season with a negative EPA per drop back. So you did 5 generally bad games throwing the football. Two of them have been against the ravens. We 5, which is in your 5 to 6 week stretch of this doesn't really matter. And then in week 18, where we take team was by e-paper drop back, his second worst game of the season. And this is with Raymond's rings that Daryl warrey worley out there, just didn't even know he was still in the league and he's playing outside corner and getting mosh by Jamar chase, right? The ravens hired a new D.C. this year. Mike McDonald, he was on the staff previously, and he was the D.C. at Michigan. And they got rid of Wink Martindale, martindale was all blitz, man coverage. Joe burrow just ate that up. It alive. This year it's faked the blitz, occasionally send a blitz, drop a guy into coverage, they play a ton of zone, and they have an in roquan Smith. A player who really just ties everything together. Awesome trade. They fucking love Roxanne Smith. It is, I love the trade so much because one, I love Rogue One, he's a great player and I was in a really good defense. And he's helping so much. And two, because the nerds hated it because it was a trade for a linebacker. That's supposed to overvalue position. And then they paid him $20 million. And everybody's curious. The fact that they got a second rounder than wasted wood on Chase claypool. Brilliant. That's good. Rope one with roquan off the field. They're 30th in e-paper play aloud with him on the field there first. They're on like 15th and DVA defensively like second. I test he's awesome. He's all over the place. It's so very clear. In terms of impact, range of the field that he occupies and also critically being a rising tide being a centerpiece, him playing Mike, moves Patrick queen out of Mike and Patrick Wayne, who's fast and physical and an aggressive and has a lot of good to him. His struggles with play recognition struggles with ID struggles with the mental aspect of the game. So you put rope one in there and then it knocks Patrick queen to weak side. He's been much better so much better since Rogan's gotten there. And because you have two linebackers on the field you like, you're now playing nickel all the time, which means Kyle Hamilton, your first round pick, he's played slot corner. He has been a primary slot corner for them since the rope on trade.

"Bad that's the matchup. I think diner's Detroit would have been a good game. I think the niners would have won, but I actually think the niners they would have had to at least work for that one. With that said, we see every year in the playoffs that nobody believes in us is the most powerful factor in sports. I just don't know if Seattle is enough talent to even qualify for nobody believes in us. Next week, they'll be not this week. You might be better off to just take all favors this week. But we'll go over them. The Saturday night game is chargers Jags. It's in Jacksonville. It is going to be a week of hearing about Herbert and Lawrence to the best young quarterbacks in the league to tall guys to talk as I can run. To kind of weirdly unusual looking quarterbacks, they have their distinct look. They don't really look like any other quarterbacks we've seen. I didn't think Lawrence was good. In that Titans game, I thought he left a lot of throws and plays on the table. We made a couple, but for the most part, I thought he was, did he think he was pretty shaky in that Tennessee game? Yeah, well you, I know you had the Jaguars, but I thought Dobbs was better than Lawrence. Yeah, Lawrence for three quarters. Wasn't solid and, you know, they told us that Josh Dobbs is smart. And he did play smart. I mean, they mentioned it like 6 times a telecast, he's an aerospace engineer, major, right? But then I feel like they shouldn't do that because then you make a stupid throw and everyone's like, oh, why is this smart guy making a stupid throat? It's the Jason Garrett, Princeton, things like, I'll never set my kid to Princeton now. Because Jason Garrett went there. I'd rather be like a dumb, wouldn't you rather be like, yeah, he graduated university of Phoenix. Well, surprisingly, wise move to get rid of the ball there, but I don't know. I think Lawrence was great. I thought variable played a physical game. And I think this is good value. Maybe we make a lot of money Saturday. I said Saturday sucks. We'll go over the line here, but I think there's a lot of good value in the Chargers right now. So Dobbs, I had the Jacksonville Jaguars in the tease in $1 million picks in real life. And really started to get freaked out about Dobbs about halfway through the third quarter because he just wasn't making mistakes. He had the long pick on the bomb, right? Whatever, that's kind of like a punt. His

"Now, quarterback space is limited in Pittsburgh. You have big bend the starting quarterback. Mason Rudolph is the backup who will play if Big Ben gets hurt, you want a guy who can play a little bit if Big Ben is out for a game or two. I think they trust mason Rudolph a lot more than they trust between Haskins based on the amount they're playing Duane. And they view Haskins as a long-term investment. But then they have Josh Dobbs who Big Ben really, really likes who Josh Dobbs basically acts like a coach. He's the fourth quarterback in the roster. He probably won't play. He hasn't played much in the preseason. He might play a lot in the final game, depending on what they do with their strategy. But I'm curious who gets cut here because you hear a lot of stories about how Josh Dobbs really, really helps Big Ben prepare week to week. Are they going to cut him and then keep him on the practice squad? Are they going to make him a coach? I don't know. But I'm curious, I think Josh Johns is the odd man out because they like the potential of Haskins, but keep your eye on that. I'm curious if they keep four quarterbacks? Did they cut one of them? Do they cut two? I don't know, but that's a story that's interesting to me is how many quarterbacks do Pittsburgh keep and which ones particularly do they keep. Okay, Buccaneers rookie quarterback Kyle Trask had a yikes, a bad day. He had two interceptions should have had more. He did have one that got tipped off a receiver's hand, so that was kind of unfair. But again, he should have had probably four interceptions because a bunch got dropped. And so, I don't know. He struggled with accuracy. He did not look good. It was ugly. And I have to report this because it's really important that young quarterbacks take advantage of every opportunity they get. And I felt like Kyle Trask simply did not do that in pre season week two against Tennessee and we'll see if he develops into a better quarterback that they believe in, but I've heard a lot of talk. Kyle trash is the future. He's amazing. And I'm like, what are you seeing? Because I don't see it right now. And I don't know..

"You don't have those limits your limited by how long they're willing to stay at work with you and you can hire your own people to work with you in the aussies. There's no limit to the amount of work they can do. Just you know being smart not overtaxing. Their body really So i'm excited about. I'm excited to see that. Continue and it makes me. It makes me more comfortable with his health injury. Wise because what what we normally see with running backs specifically running backs across the board what an athlete greatly increases the amount of work. They're doing like when they increase the physical toll. Like if you push your workouts to the next level all of a sudden you you're going to be more like susceptible to injury When you're taking a giant leap in the amount of carries and the amount of hits you're taking you're more susceptible to injury and with the nause harris who didn't get it wasn't like ever getting tons and tons of carries and touches in the end in college. He wasn't that guy. You're looking at potential ramp up in usage. It's good to know that he is already like prepared physically. He's been training himself for this for a long time. So he's it's exciting for me. It's it's exciting to hear that that's continuing and really i. I could quite easily go on about nausea and all the great things we've heard about him easily through the end of the show and about ten others past that but Just to continue to move along through stuff ben set. He complimented dwayne haskins. In just want. I just want that to to marinate will. He complimented quarterback the only other time he's done that in his near twenty year career. That i can think of is talking about josh dobbs being genius and if i recall correctly the question was more so senator around mason rudolph and he deflected it to turn to talk about his buddy josh dobbs. How smart he has now. she loves him. Does that mean something you are. You like also like okay. Maybe the steelers might have gotten something like it might not be like. We don't know if it's going to be anything but like he's complimenting another quarterback to me that means at least something does it to us. Well yeah jay's washington said he throws really hard so he's got a lot of compliments on his arm talent right and how pretty his releases. How how pretty that is a again. It's still football and shorts. You can throw beautiful ball but can you. Can you make a play under pressure. I think is more important. Like devon hodges through an ugly football didn't have a lot of talent but under pressure he was better than like he wasn't practice so he actually wanted us some games. If there's guys who can throw a pretty ball that's fine. You could throw pretty ball but if you can't make plays under pressure you're not gonna win in the nfl so for me. I like hearing that. I like hearing the positive 'cause when it tells me is at least. It's not a problem. If dwayne haskins was a problem if you were someone like they wouldn't compliment him even if he did look great right so there's a little bit there. I think it's showing the steelers players and coaches have a little more investments in him That his contract would denote and other than that man. I can't. I can't wait till preseason like get to see you know dwayne haskins out there as this. Is this boy that guy. That's been been build up by all the teams kind of the golden boy mason rudolph who kind of getting overlooked. I really hope we see a situation. Where like dwayne haskins is like. All right i found a place. Let's go out and take job and you've got mason rudolph with a bit of his chip on his shoulder playing playing and saying hey. I'm not bad. I'm that's my spot and you're not taking i. I wanna see that. I wanna see a fire under these guys. I wanna see some competition. I don't honestly some great preseason football after ben leaves you know what if i wasn't writing for this website i would. I would make a point of watching. Every single preseason game to watch that competition is going to be probably the most rilling storyline. I can think of in my lifetime of steelers preseason football so like that's something to watch. Yeah if you're thinking about like what was the last time we had to backup quarterbacks. This good really. That good and also young charlie. Back to were former starters. But there wasn't competition their bachelor's old like left which was older. No one was. They weren't on the they. Weren't you know on the ascension. I i think it's i think it does have a chance to be a special special thing to watch the preseason. Yeah it's going to be a lot of fun just to continue to move on bended salot so i don't think we'll get through all of it tonight but one of the other things. He did say he mentioned that. His elbow was completely restructured reconstructed. I should say that. That is a real word. Is not just ben being his typical diva self. Like i to me. It's on like it like a couple agreements. Were just kinda reattachment said. It was complete restriction. Reconstruction i did again. They restructured his elbow contract. Exactly which another thing they about but anyway do you think ben just full of it right now are like was that way more than What who were actually led to believe is i. You never know with ben. It was such a ben conversation. Oh just like oh my elbow. Yeah th had to glue my arm back on dude and as gluing it on. I'm like steelers anything you want. You want me to walk your dog. I love you guys. you're my favorite. I love all of this. Is the franchise. I ever want to have anything to do with the history of my life like it's bad. It's been being ben. Even.

"I guess the other news of today and kind of completely overshadowed by of into william signing Josh dobbs quarterback is back for year number. Five with the pittsburgh steelers. What do you think of a the the readmission of josh dobbs With the black and goal. I like it. I think it really for people who want a quarterback hauling out the best news. I think i think it's more than anything. Vote of confidence in the guys they have. You wanna fourth quarterback for camp and josh dobbs in my opinion is the right kind of quarterback to push a dwayne haskins. He's not going to match. Dwayne haskins talent with the questions on dwayne haskins. Aren't does he have talent questions are you know. Where's his head in the game. What's his Level what's he like in the locker room. You know you're talking leadership and you're talking. You know the love of the game sitting in the film room watching the film breaking stuff down understanding the offense all these things. Those are josh dobbs strengths. Just odd isn't the greatest passer but he does that to the point that he's you know a guy. Ben rothlisberger likes because he can rely on him so to me. He's an insurance policy. Should dwayne haskins causing any problems and they have to get rid of. It has to cut ties with him. And he's also the kind of guy to plush dwayne haskins in the in the film room kind of be that guy who's like you know try and keep up your kid like let's go. It's it's time for you to learn this. It's time for you really. It's it's your what third season you know. You need to have this stuff down So i think josh dobbs is actually the perfect addition to push him and honestly if he sticks around. He's someone bent likes having around.

"I think there is. If there is one organization that could take him there. I do think it's the Steelers. Um okay. Right. Unfortunate. We can't do it. But, you know, we wish him all the well and it's big Ben can take him there and, you know, give him the lesson. He needs to learn a all all all the power tune. But, you know, I hope we hope change young still see him. And put in the dirt. As long as you can. All right. Well, thank you. Wonderful calling up from Annapolis. Mm. Dwayne Haskins. Is that where Steelers want to put their hopes? And is he, the guy that Steelers fans look at and say? I hope it works out. What else would you have hoping right now? You don't Where the hell do you where if you have the Pittsburgh Steelers? Where the hell do you get a quarterback from? You can't get one this season. You're drafting 24th. What do you hope for? Jones out Alabama you you hope for him is what is that like consolation prize? You think about some of the players that they've drafted over the years over the past 10 years? The steel is drafting quarterbacks We all know Mason route off is not the answer. It's a damn shame what he's probably most famous for right now is taking Ah, helmet over the head via Miles, Gary That sucks. No quarterback wants to be known by getting abused by defensive lineman let alone for play that has nothing to do with actual football play. Josh Dobbs, a Landry Jones I feel like I've seen more of these guys back in college like Tennessee and Oklahoma. Then I've seen of them professionally. I'm not sitting back, checking out a stealer preseason games, the fourth preseason game pretty much checked out already. I'm waiting on the real football. I'm waiting on the regular season. Ben Roethlisberger has been the man that has been behind center the entire time him. Nobody else. But you know what? Nothing lasts forever. And when you have that superstar quarterback leave It's not so easy replacing him. The West that of Bill Belichick guy. He's looking for a quarterback again, another off season. It's not gonna be Cam Newton. The Indianapolis Colts looking for that quarterback. These are two organizations that have trotted out a Tom Brady who have trotted out and Andrew luck. And before that, a Peyton Manning forever for the last 20 years. Ben Rob Lowe's Berg. He's basically been around Justus long getting coming out in 2000 and four It's time to move on. The Steelers. They're just, unfortunately, probably stuck. It may have to hit the skids next year. In order to improve a position to eventually get a quarterback. Not everybody could hit the quarterback jackpot like the Jacksonville Jaguars it they got an easy choice. The choice is pretty much been made for them with Trevor Laurence.
