"Second. Two thousand eighteen all information including files of intelligence agencies regarding whether any of the iraqi police and assert square on september sixteenth. Two thousand seven or any of the iraqi police who participated in the mr square investigation have any suspected connection or affiliation. With any insurgent or terrorist. You can see this one coming a mile away remember. The government has a constitutional obligation to produce anything. That's helpful to the defendant. So course the government at first says it can neither-confirm-nor-deny whether such information exists for months later. Prosecutors filed a summary with the court that named none other than the lead iraqi investigator. Colonel fares. kareem as possible insurgent collaborator. The government cautioned that this kareem known to us. Intelligence operatives may not be the same guy but his physical description and resume. Were exactly the same. As the colonel karim directing witnesses and police officers in nisar square on september. Sixteen two thousand seven. This colonel karim provided us intelligence agents posing as bader core josh al-mahdi insurgents with a steady stream of information about s troop movements. But instead of turning over this watershed information. The government wait for it wrote summaries of the thirteen year old intelligence reports summaries written by the prosecutors. Where have we heard about that before. Yes when judge urbina. And donald balls attorneys stephen mccoll excoriated them for making up lies and omitting exculpatory evidence in the grand jury proceedings. So what were the prosecutors hiding this time not only did. The government had this tiny problem with their lead investigator. Being a terrorist. Colonel karim had publicly boasted. That if he told the iraqi witnesses to go left they went left. If he told them to go right they went right. That's called witness tampering. And it's a federal crime that carries prison time game over case closed. Judge lambert. didn't think so. He ruled that the prosecutor summaries were good enough for the defense. Move along. no terrorists to see here. Here's an actor. Reading from his ruling. The defendant contends that the substituted summer is inadequate because they do not identify whether the possessing agency or agencies associated with inflammation with colonel corinne in some way but as their unclassified summary state. The agency does not know whether these two individuals are the same curse. Any further information would be near rovan nor health. Really.

"More year. He's under contract beyond the 2021 season. So do you trade him now? You keep it for a year, then trade him. How if you're the Packers, how do you play this? I'm going back in time, and I'm having a better relationship with him. Yeah, yeah, nice to be able to do that. Well, you know, it's it's a Just like Watson, where he was upset. He wasn't consulted about the coach. And that story is specifically about Jake Kumerow, right? Yeah, that was the final straw. And you know, I was listening to the afternoon guys yesterday. Talk about Should a star player be consulted by By management about the moves and the answer is, of course he should, because Let's talk about this with Josh. And let's not even make it about Aaron Rodgers, who you want to call him a diva, or whatever you wanna do. If if the Bills one. The bill signed Joshua into this extension, it make $40 million a year or whatever that number is. Josh was the most important part of the Buffalo Bills. All right, Brandon being said they've been talking to Josh Al about some of the offseason stuff, moving things every day as they should. He's more important. Sorry, Brandon being who we're gonna talk to in an hour. He's more important than being A franchise quarterback. That place at that level is more important than any coach and any GM because you could get another coach and get another GM. He's the hardest thing to replace Alan would be the way he played this last year in if he continues to play that way. So let me give you a hypothetical. I know it's Jake Kumerow. So it's different. Maybe you don't think every player needs toe be run by Aaron Rodgers. But let's say the bills have run some analytics and they decide like You know what Easily wants to come back another year, but we don't think it's going to be very good. We're going. We're going to cut him loose. Yep. You can't do that without talking. You would give Johnson about up and explain the reasoning behind the move Right? And I'm not sure that they consult him. They tell him about John Brown like he and John Brown had a good relationship. You know, Brown is the only guy they didn't bring back for the for the van bringing back together. I feel like if nothing else you would Again. Consult doesn't mean get his permission. It means let him know this is why this is what's happening. You're in the loop. We need you on board. Blah, blah, blah. You know, I find this Terry now and then we There's a story. Does it involve Buffalo? I find I can't get enough of the Roger Story. I think this is fascinating How this is playing out. And one thing I do think about was the Tyler done piece. Remember the piece he did? He did a really in depth piece about about Aaron Rodgers. And you know how if if you get on his bad side You're cut off like this guy holds grudges. And if he doesn't if something happens to affect your relationship yours good is dead to him. Like there are members of his family. He doesn't talk too, right? I can't get an Tyler tweeted something about that over the over the last few days in regards to Aaron Rodgers like to me, That's what I keep thinking about that story. If he's reached the point, where is it? Yeah, I'm done with you guys like if he was angry when they drafted Jordan love, and then he was angry about his contract, and I think he doesn't have any guaranteed money left and all these different things. If this is his personality when he makes his mind up, he's done with something he's done with that person or If he's done that with Green Bay. Okay. What's next? We talked about this with Shawn Watson. Does he show up? Well, now it's a different story. With all the stuff going on his legal issues. This was before that came out and I always thought I he'll skip the off season. But when push comes to shove, I bet he shows up in place this season. Miss Rogers doing What I mean. He doesn't necessarily have leverage. He's under contract. If he doesn't show up. He doesn't get paid. His contract doesn't toll. But as he reached the point we like, Yeah, the Packers. They're dead to me. I'm never going back and playing another game for these guys. And if he tells that to the GM Okay, now, what do you do if your green Bay How do you play this one out? Just figure that he's a competitors will show up. He's not gonna go host jeopardy full time will show up and play football. He loves playing football. This is really, really interesting. How this is all gonna unfold for those guys. And do they think, by the way? Do they believe Jordan? Love is ready to step in on a team. That was what the one seed last year in the NFC do they think Because if they do, I suppose they could go. I'd Aaron could But what play? We'll play your body you go sit home. Jordan. You're playing If the GM and the if the GM it feels I've done a fine job surrounding you with talent line is good. Drafted. Receive everything the you've got Davante Adams. We've got some good re signed the running back big money. Right? I mean again. Love is not standing here, but I feel like I've got a good team. Yeah, you were the M V. P, But I identified this quarterback is the quarterback of the future. The Russell Wilson trade chatter. Who's the quarterback? If you trade Russell Wilson, you're gonna go to the bottom and try and draft one when? When did Shawn Watson was the rumor to Miami? Well, they like to, uh, because if they don't like to, uh than He's not a part of the package. They shouldn't just take two in a trade in this case. Hey, whatever the packages, you don't have to send us a quarterback. We already got one. So to me, That's the thing that should that should make it happen. Much faster, much easier than any of the others ate all three Oh, 5 50 to join us when we get back. Paul Hamilton will join us great story at the sabers game last night. "He's a unicorn, You know, I mean, he's one of a kind And that's You got to contain him and his inability to run around like normal. I'm sure Andy Reid will have that in the back of his mind. If he knows how limited Pat Mahomes is, it may affect the play calls. If they're if they're trying to beat you with their left hand on their place, she maybe that gives you a better chance to beat him because they'll be forced to do something they're not used to doing, or maybe doing some other things rather than what they do really the best way in certain situations, so Yeah. Pat Mahomes is the key. And if he's not 100%, I think not Only Great player like that. Not only does when he plays great, he elevates everybody when he's not great. I think everybody drops a little bit, too. So I think that's a big issue. Maybe we'll get a sense of it almost immediately. Based upon how he's moving around at the beginning of the game again, That's the late game on Sunday as we head into the NFL's championship games. If there's a quarterback was playing as well as he is, it is Josh Allen, who has had an unbelievable season and before we talk about what he should do on Sunday, you're there to see it all up Close and personal. How would you describe what this season has been for Josh Allen? Well, we thought maybe he'd pop out and make another incremental increase in his is play from last year he went from 52 is rookie year 2 58 or 59 his second year. Then this year, we figured maybe if you could get to 53% of 64% completion percentage, well, he jumped it all the way up to 69%. There's been a couple of games where you hung 80% completion rate on some people. And the thing that gets me about it, Greenie is that it doesn't seem to be a one year kind of saying, this seems real. He's reading defense that he's that He's a couple of levels mentally further down the road than we thought he would be. Getting in and out of place changing protections, checking out of a play checking back into a plane making throws that you know with a guy with his gift. I mean, you just don't see very often. The guy's the guy's unbelievable with his arm, his athleticism out of the pocket, his accuracy and the weapons that they upgraded around with step Dig. And another year in the system with Brian Table. It's been pretty phenomenal. Um, there's been about five or six, maybe even seven games this season. The Bills had one of the toughest schedules in the lead. They played the NFC West. They went three and one and that's in that division. And we're hail Murray away from going for no. In the NFC West. They swept the A F C East. There. They played a gauntlet of a schedule and every week You know, we were sitting there talking about it was like, I don't know. You know, you always had your doubts. And the whole team and Josh Al included played better and better and better, and Sean McDermott and his staff has this team improving every week even when they're hanging 40 points on the Broncos. You think? Wow, I can't get any better. Well, they hang 56 on the On the Dolphins In this week, 17 and the Dolphins had a better defense. It was. It's just they have stacked great game on top of great game improvement on top of improvement, and Josh Al is the poster boy for the whole thing. It's been pretty phenomenal to watch. I agree. In fact, I'll tell you something. I know you know this, but I don't know that the everyone listening to the conversation knows it. They want every game they played this year that wasn't rescheduled except for the Hail Murray game. So that game, which they lost on one pass, one play that they otherwise wind up. Winning was the only game that they lost this year That wasn't rescheduled The games that were played when they were supposed to be scheduled when the scheduling got all kind of screwed up around some of the other games this year, those are the only other games they lost only lost three games the entire season. Two of them were rescheduled on the third one. Was a Hail Mary on the game or hail Murray on the game's final place that they've had a ridiculous season. Let me ask you this, though Steve Tasker with me here on ESPN Radio the last two weeks in the playoffs. They've stopped running the ball completely. They've just stopped. Their running backs have a combined total of 19 carries in their two playoff winds. Can they get away with that against Kansas City Sunday? No, I don't think so. You know, I don't think so. I think I'll say this, though. Um Yeah, they have stopped running the ball. I think one of the things is that It's been their decision to do it. They just demon tried against the Baltimore Ravens and against the Colts. They had such horrific field position in the first half of that game. That it came out scored two really nice touchdowns after the halftime, But man Oh, man. They just decided not to run it. It wasn't even like they tried it enough to Was even like they tried it enough to get away from it. So I think it was a decision Maura than trying it against the Ravens and then giving up on it. So I think that was that's one thing. So I I'm with you. I don't think they can win that game. If they don't win they released attempt. To run the football with Devon Singletary and T J Yeldon or Antonio waves, Whoever it might be the interesting to watch again. It should be a really interesting game. The bills with the one team in this weekend that I think their seasons the success Regardless of what happens, this has been a screaming success. They may even be in a lot of people's opinion one year ahead of schedule, so to be where they are head to head with no homes and read on Sunday should be fascinating. One more thing for you, Steve is I let you go. You are part of the 25. Modern era semi finalists for the pro football Hall of Fame. What? What does that mean to you? It's It's flattering. I mean, are you kidding me? It's humbling to be in that conversation. I mean, I love the guys I played with and I wouldn't change anything about my career Hall of Fame or not, it was It was phenomenal. Like I said earlier on in the interview. I mean, those guys I played with Um I love him and respect him, and it was a lot of fun. It was an honor to be part of that team. And, um Yeah, yeah, The Hall of Fame is awesome. I mean, I mean, it's just It's an unbelievable honor to be in that I've been in the semi finals before. I've never made it to the finals. But Even so, um, it's humbling. I'm very proud of my career and the guys that I played with the coaches that I played for, and particularly the city I played in, um and I don't lose sleep over being and not being in the Hall of Fame or not getting to the finals. I think it be a great gift. No question. But, um I I I don't know what to say. It's just unbelievable to me that I was able to be a part of something so cool. Not only about the team that I played on, but the league that I played in And you look around now, Greenlee, can you believe they got 256 regular season games in and all the playoffs and didn't miss a beat? The NFL is an amazing, amazing lead to be a part of on now they're going to give tickets to the Super Bowl to all these health care workers. They opened the show today by saying, Boy, have they gotten a lot of things, right? I'll say this to you, Tasker as a lifelong jet fan. I've never rooted for the bills in my entire life. But you guys have made me kind of between a talking to you and Smith and Kelly and Thurman this week. There's a part of me that almost wants to see you guys go on. So you've achieved the practically impossible That's what I'll tell you. Let me say this. Let me say this. Great you did. You've done the bills Mafia a real solid by picking the Chiefs to win. We appreciate very well played very well Placed exchange.

"Joining us here on the show is good friend of ours. Emmy Award winning broadcaster. The right and he analyzes for pro football focus. And he's been here before Championship weekend. He joins us here on the show. Solomon Wilcots, Solomon. Good morning D A good morning to you. How you doing? I'm doing great. I'm so excited for this weekend. I'm hoping we get to really good games here and championship weekend. There's a lot of juice all eyes on you and these two matchups are really interesting. When you look at Chiefs and bills, do you think it's simply comes down to whether Patrick Mahomes plays not or their other forces at work that will decide this game? Well, there certainly are other forces at work, but the folk REM par. The real key important factor is the presence of one Patrick Mahomes disguise. When Ford won in the last 25 starts. I mean, he's incredible. We've seen him even in games rate falls behind. He has that that magic where he's like a force multiplier, his ability to bring this team back. We know that he could do that. You can put points on the school board in a hurry. But Josh Al is pretty good, too. On the other side and the players surrounding him Stefan Diggs, Gabriel Davis, John Brown and Cole Beasley. They're They're pretty good players as well. They are Josh Allen's taking that next step this year that many of us wondered if he would ever make when you study the stats on him the analytics on him. What have you seen in terms of his growth this season? It's overall ability to just make better decisions that led to a greater accuracy. Seen a spike in his overall completion percentage, as well as you know, the ability to put more points on the board. Doesn't waste possessions, and so if you get him in critical moments in the game he has come through and been able to deliver it ways that he had not been Able to do in the past. So you're talking about the league's second ring scoring offense on the third best passing offense and their first on third down, so those of the critical Areas where you have seen a tremendous spike or improvement in his game. On Sunday. Andy Reid pulled the rabbit out of the hat, winning that game, with Chad heady and going forward on that fourth and one What do the numbers say On that decision? He was on his own 48 yard line with about a minute and 20 to play. I believe if you don't get it, you give the ball back to the opposing team. On your side of the field, the Browns and you're up by five. Did you think it was a savvy move? One of the numbers say about that decision. It was not just a savvy move, and it was not just a good decision to go for Main thing. Possession. You're talking one yard. Out. Real critical thing is, what do you do? In that decision. If you just pound the fullback of two middle into your offensive line, that's where when we look at these fourth downplays going for it. It is what you do in those moments, not the fact that you decided to go for it. That makes it risky and you've got to go with the high level of probability getting the ball out on the perimeter. Of the defense and getting it into the hands of a Tyreek hill. Do you like your odds then? Because you're talking about maybe what five yard. The ball traveled maybe five yards in the air. Get the out Klink defense. He's wide open. That's like an extended hand off you R I could make that place so I think if you look at it through that prism, you see that It's a that play the high rate of probability and the fact that if you converted, the game is over, so no punting in that situation, I think by every metric It says OK, you go for it. But now how you really leverage the opportunity is what you do in that moment, and they put on the right play for the right moment. That's interesting. Solomon Wilcots joins us here on the D a show on CBS Sports radio from pro football Focus. If you hear him is well on Sirius XM is NFL channel. So Andy Reid always had the stigma that he was too conservative to win. The big game is played, calling with bogged down late in games Yet here he is being aggressive, the most aggressive in a spot like that. What does that tell you about how Andy Reid's evolved as a head coach? He have you all? I mean, even if you go back Week six when they played the Buffalo Bills. Right. Remember that game it was windy, Western New York and you even started Last week playoff games. The center's had problems snap of the ball and shotgun for the Baltimore Ravens, but that place could be very difficult in terms of throwing the ball. They came into that game week. Six against bills chiefs did they ran the ball 46 times 245 yards. His win has an anti reteam. Run the ball like that. I mean, just really take the air out of the ball. Get out of there with a win. You go back to 2017 year, Karim Hunt was on this team led the league in rushing They got into a playoff game against Tennessee. He doesn't get the ball the entire second half the day and they end up losing the game. So yes, he's involved in ways that where he's more balanced and more creative in terms of how can we run the ball? To leverage our ability to win, and that's what I think surrounding yourself with really good coaches. We're not afraid to say, Hey, coach. Let's try this. That's what Eric, The enemy has been to this coaching staff. And for Andy Reid and kudos to Andy listening to, um you know, members of his coaching staff to evolve and clearly they're learning a lot from him. It's nice to know that he can learn from his assistance as well. And he's become a better coach. And I think history's gonna look back on him is one of our truly great coaches. Is it curious to you that Eric the enemy does not have a head coaching job? Not only the curious, I think we're beyond the curiosity, it's it shows that the problem is systemic. That they could talk a good game. But at the end of the day, this is not About hiring the best and the brightest. Listen to him. Every time they hire some people, they'll come out with all of these additives and all of these You want culture? We want leaders of man. We're looking for it often to guy with. Never you.

"For hanging out with us on the Thursday NFL playoffs. Coaching search is Robert Sala. All those things the bills are taking on the Ravens. Lots of things to talk about. With Brian Billick, Super Bowl winning coach of the Ravens at coach Billick CM on NFL Network. You read his books. He is a multi dimensional power and he joins us courtesy of the only guest line. Hi, Brian. How are you? How are we doing this afternoon? How we're doing good. We're just We're just counting the hours down to more playoff football. We like to Super Bowl a wild card weekend, but the divisional Zehr always where it's at, right. Yeah. I love the divisional weekend because, you know, I think we've got great matchups. I think you got the right themes there. And you always to me always. That's where you really learn about what's going on in the league Directionally. I know the championship in the Super Bowl, the top two teams, But when you look at these eight teams, you get you get a real sense of what the direction I think it's fascinating that we have this dichotomy of three future Hall Famers, You know you're talking about Brady. Aaron Rodgers and Drew Brees. And then you've got this cadre of young guys, Uh, you know, with Josh Alan and Pat Mahomes and Lamar Jackson and certainly Josh Alan, great great contrast in terms of the old school versus the new bucks. Fact, I think it's the oldest ever in history in the NFC side of it in the youngest ever in history coach on the A F C side and I'm watching the NFL network is replaying Baltimore at Buffalo last year in Orchard Park. Has that recall. Buffalo did give them problems in the run game, but they don't have the offensive weaponry and the Ravens wound up winning by seven, but you're obviously close to the franchise into the preseason games. Lamar Jackson We know what a great runner is. He may be the best running back in the league playing quarterback, but how do you assess him as a thrower from his rookie year? I thought it was the most improved player in the league last year Not only the M V P, but the M I P And then this year times you thought maybe he regressed a little bit, And when he came back from covert, he was better. How do you assess him as a as a thrower of the football coach? Well, he's good enough. I don't think there's a huge improvement from the end of last year. Uh, I don't know if there will be. I think what he is, is what he is still struggles, little bit drying outside the numbers. But there are times he can crank it up, and he's just such a special player. You're right last year, Buffalo held them to 40 yards, just 11 carats and where it was touching wars. Only, uh, 10 ft. Look like they had a good plan going, But all it takes is one time you leave that scene believe that crack With a little over two minutes and they're down by 10 all the things that you know they can't come back from behind with 10, and they haven't won a playoff game and boom. Lamar Jackson breaks off 48 yards for a touchdown and changes the whole dynamic of the game. So Uh, yeah, I think Buffalo's got a chance in your right last year was totally different because the offense with Josh Josh Allen told me different player and wasn't doing what he is doing now, so it's just gonna be a test for the for the ratings. Coach Brian Billick is June. It's popping one here on the SportsCenter mentioned Josh al and I gotta be honest. I didn't think it was gonna happen with the Wyoming background. I didn't know it was great in college and all the sudden, man. He just turns it around this year. What have you seen from him? That has allowed him to make this jump. All this just inefficiency, including me. What are you doing? You're right. You know, we keep matter really Junior colleges. Thank you really wondering while me under 60% completion percentage That's not usually does not add up And you usually don't get better that something like that in the NFL the first two years. He really didn't. He was dynamic. He ran round made some plays. It's a good place, and he still didn't have that efficiency that who would release whatever he did in the off season. However, we worked with whatever he did to streamline it. Hey, did a heck of a job because he's playing at the top of his game. He just comes. Any quarterback in the league right now may be the best quarterback in the league. Both run and passed with all understand, we've got Aaron Rodgers plans that unbelievable, mythical level and Pat Mahomes but in terms of the sheer ability Execute and run and execute the past. He's uh he's pretty good. Yeah, they Baltimore Buffalo game of the Saturday evening our time. 5 15 on NBC the earlier game on Saturday. 1 35 on Fox is gonna be here in Rodgers. And it's gonna be all Kale matchup because golf is gonna go Justus farce chaired being able to throw the ball. He was obviously hampered with the thumb, but they had no other choice because Welford, you know, had to leave the game and was seriously hurt. What did you notice about him just throwing the ball. And will that get better this week from from last week, Coach It should get a little better. You're right. We could clearly see he was not on. You just probably couldn't really grip the ball process and that touching that deal from the follow through it have to be a little better, but still, he's only what less than a week and a half for two weeks. In that surgery on the stuff..

"And outta here, Taking swings for your regular host will be back. Very, very soon. What's holidays are over. I'm usually a pretty upbeat kind of guy. It takes a lot To tick me off, but during the break, I got hungry. And when you do a radio show, you've got to eat quickly. I mean, you've got a couple of minutes in between segments. So I ran in and I made myself a ham sandwich. Well, I don't know about you, but I put mustard on my ham sandwiches. And I know that you've really got to shake the mustard in order to get that. Thick mustard to come flowing out. And I know what you I know. You know what? I'm I'm gonna get out here. And it's that yellow watery substance that inevitably drips out When you squeeze the mustard. It's absolutely disgusting. And I just happened to me. I took two bites of the sandwich and I'm starving by the way. And I just chucked it in the garbage. Shook that mustard so hard, almost dislocated my shoulder. You could put that mustard container in the dryer on delicate for 10 minutes. It will still take a leak on your ham sandwich before any of the actual mustard hits the bread. And I'm like, catch up that if you shake it, you could feel it's ready to go. Mustard really trick. Sha. It pulls the wool over your eyes. It gives you that heavy, solid feeling like you're going to get actual yellow, thick rich mustard. Did that sandwich right off the bat. Uh, it's just it's playing with you. That's what it does It tricks you and it drops that watery substance like a damn raindrops hitting your windshield, and it doesn't matter what you do. Because I have shaken that mustard so hard that I think this is it. This is the time and I know better. I should just go squeeze it in the sink. First. Get that stuff out of the way and then go squeeze it on my sandwich, But I think you know what if I just give it a really good shake right here. Nope, Yellowish, watery substance on my sandwich before the actual mustard. Call me stupid. Maybe someday I'll learn. Like today. Monday night Football bills blew out the Patriots 38 tonight. How about this? For the first time Since the 99 season, Buffalo has been able to sweep the season series against their division rival, the Josh Allen to Stefan Diggs connection is clicking. Allen finished with 320 yards, four touchdowns, three of those touchdowns going to digs. By comparison, Cam Newton. He didn't play well completed. Just 5 to 10 passes 34 yards before being sent to the bench. That was early in the second half. Now, With this win, Buffalo now jumps up to the number two seed NFC playoff picture. Well, the latest loss Confirms that New England could have its first losing season since 2000 and if you take a look at what Josh AL is doing when you have a conversation about the best quarterbacks in the NFL Josh Allen's name will rarely come up. But I'll tell you that's gonna change because you take a look at what this guy's done and he's only 24 3rd season in the league, you take a look at his rookie season 2018. Get over 2000 Yards. 10 touchdowns. Sophomore season over 3000 Yards 20 touchdowns Now 4000 Yards 30 plus touchdowns. The guy has gotten considerably better each year, and there's no reason to think he won't continue to do it. The chief's right now are the number one team in my mind in the A F. Speaking of football Dwayne Haskins released by the Washington football team, Think about this for a second. You're talking about a guy who was the number 15 overall pick in the draft. He just can't keep it together off the field. And we've seen this before. Johnny Manziel Ryan Leaf. I mean, the list is long. They're just too immature. They can't handle it. They get that money. They get that fame. They go nuts. We've seen it time and time again now. Haskins released a statement following the move. It is a very mature statement, but based on his actions, I mean, you're talking about a guy who Is frequently frequenting. Nightspots or night hot spots with women who are trying to put themselves through college. I just put it to you that way. He released a statement, he said my time with the Washington football team has, unfortunately come to an end. I think the team and fans for the opportunity to play for the team I grew up rooting for. I take full responsibility for not meeting the standards of an NFL quarterback and I will become a better man a player because of this experience. Now, all that sounds good. If he truly means that if he actually wrote that And I think he's gonna be okay. Did he write that? Does he mean that time will tell? Based on his actions previous to the releasing of that statement. I don't know how anybody could believe that that actually came out of Dwayne Haskins. Hands. But what happens now he enters waivers. Any team that claims him will be on the hook for 68,000 for weeks, 17 in about 4.3 million fully guaranteed over the remainder of his contract. And as I mentioned, I mean, this all comes back to He can't stay away from exotic clubs or exotic dancers. Somebody said he was the least prepared quarterback they'd ever seen. "What's holidays are over. And I know what should I know? You know what? I'm I'm going to get out here. You could put that mustard container in the dryer on delicates for 10 minutes. It will still take a leak on your ham sandwich before any of the actual mustard hits the bread. And I'm like, catch up that if you shake it, you could feel it's ready to go. Mustard really tricks to it Pulls the wool over your eyes. Maybe someday I'll learn like today. Monday night football bills blew out the Patriots 38 tonight. How about this? For the first time Since the 99 season, Buffalo has been able to sweep the season series against their division rival? Josh Allen to Stefan Diggs Connection is clicking. Allen finished with 320 yards, four touchdowns, three of those touchdowns going to digs. By comparison, Cam Newton. He didn't play well completed. What is it about Ohio State quarterbacks in the NFL. You take a look at these guys and what they accomplished in college. It's amazing, and then they go to the NFL. Nothing. I mean, I just told you about Dwayne. How about J T. Barrett, Cardale Jones, Braxton, Miller, Terrelle Pryor, Troy Smith. Go back in the day. Kent Graham, Bobby Hoying archly Easter. Joe Germaine Craig Krenzel. The list is long. Of guys coming out of Ohio State who just can't cut it in the NFL. You're talking about phenomenal athletes. You're talking about guys. Heisman Trophy winners or guys in the top three. The Heisman voting. Who can't even make it is a backup in the NFL. So what's going on here? I don't know what the answer is, but I think I have a guess. And it's a pretty good guess in my guess is this When you go to Ohio State, or even some of these other Alabama's another one, you can name a couple of other top programs. You were surrounded by phenomenal talent. Single house state for a second. You got Ohio State and you play quarterback. You're behind one of the best, if not the best off offensive lines. In America. So you've got 567 seconds to stand back there. And wait for your receiver to get open. You rarely have a guy in your face. Those receivers are five star recruits, and they're usually wide open watching Ohio State game. And you tell me how many times in Ohio State wide receiver is wide open. I could hit him with the past..

"In two words. It's been on fire whether you're Hispanic. Whether you are of any dissent. I actually only know how to say on fire on fire in two languages. So on Floyd, go on fire. We are winning for all the people of America Last week we went for into were now 20 and 10 on the season. That is a robust 66.666667 somewhere out there win percentage. It is extraordinary. I hope that we can continue it. And as a celebration of the role that we have been on, I'm not even just giving you an out. Kick six pack. I'm giving you a capper. I'm giving you an out kick six pack, plus a baker's half dozen picks. I got seven winners for you to make you rich. As you roll into the weekend in the NFL on we start with Green Day on the road against the taxes. I watched the Texans play in person last week. They put everything they had into that performance against the Titans, and they still gave up over 600 yards of offense. Romeo Cornell tried to be a hero by going for two to go up nine. Meanwhile, Green Bay 38 10, they were stopped to the high heavens by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. I think Green Bay gets their revenge. Texans fall once more. The Packers minus four on the road against the Texans, they get it done. The bills. What do you think about that window I got I got to go ahead and like that one because Green Bay coming off by far their worst performance. You've got to think that they're going to bounce back in Houston, especially against the defense. That's not that good and against a team that is now one in five playing for an interim coach. I just don't see them being able to really make a tremendous difference there. Bill's minus 12. I love this game. To the extent that we have a blood bank guarantee the bills have lost two in a row blown out by the Titans physically dominated by the Chiefs, and now they get to go on the road against the O in six jets. I think the bills win this one by 20 or more right now they are a 12 point favorite. The wine's been higher. It's been around 13 13.5 all week. I know that's a big number in the NFL, but I just think the bills are going to really take it to the Jets. I got the bills minus 12. Going on the road against New York. I think Adam Jason Company, you're just ready for the season to be over. They couldn't even score last week. This offense is atrocious. I think the bills defense looks great again. Hey, in Josh al and gets back to performing like he was earlier in the season bills Get the win. Minus 12 cakewalk. Easy cover. Yeah. I mean, I'm gonna be honest with you, Clay. I don't have the stones to bet the Jets so it fills her past for me. I think there's a lot of people out there that don't have those stones. Titans Steelers Steelers on the road against the Titans. We talked about this game Ah, lot earlier in the programme is the biggest one in the NFL by far, too five teams. Here's the deal. When Ryan Tannehill is playing the Titans go over. Ryan Tannehill. I think the number is in the 15 regular season games that he has started for the Titans. The Titans have gone over in them 13 times. The Titans. The last two weeks have scored 42 points in each game. They're getting back Maura of their offensive weapons healthy. Everybody who tested positive as I talked about an hour or two. Now back for the Titans. A lot of those issues were on the offensive side of the ball. And I believe that the Titans are really gonna roll. They had a full week to finally rest up a little bit after playing two games in five days. Huge game against the Steelers. I think the Titans know that they're gonna have to score a decent amount because their defense is not very good. I'm on the over 50.5. I like the over here. That stat alone is good enough for me. 13 into the last 15. That kennel starts signed me up. All right. The bucks are on the road against the Raiders. Now this game there's been a lot of uncertainty like they're often are is about covert related issues. I like what I saw out of the box I had them is one of the five best teams in my in my out kick top. 54 is not a very big number on the road in Vegas. I like what I'm seeing out of this bucks defense, which may well be the best defense in the entirety of the NFL. We know the Raiders don't have a defense at all. So the only way they could win is in a shoot out. I don't like my chances. Of Derek Carr. Derek Carr winning a shootout against Tom Brady to me, the Bucks minus for easy play here. They take care of business on the road in Vegas. Yeah, I would normally disagree with this with Vegas coming off a bye. But I think the covert distraction is something big and especially the players that are potentially being affected by this. I'm gonna have to go with Tampa Bay now minus four. All right. The Chiefs on the road against the Broncos Broncos really showed up against against the Patriots last week surprised a lot of people. We had the under in that game. What I have seen of the Chiefs is They typically show up for big games when they are playing teams that they feel like might be ableto actually threatened them this year against the bronc. Sorry against the Ravens. They went out and absolutely dominated. Hence the bills they dominated but against teams that they know that they are better than particularly in the division. Lucky to beat the Chargers got whipped by the Raiders. And now they're playing the third different team in the A. F. C West, the Broncos, who have given him some tough games over the years. I like that Broncos plus the 10 points right now to keep it close against the Chiefs closer than double digits. Get us to cover. I'm on the other side, Clay. I got Kansas City. I know They haven't been impressive against these lower level teams, but I think Denver probably has a let down here coming off a huge win over New England last week. I don't think they can back up that performance back to back weeks. I'm on the chief's All right. We continue to roll through the Seahawks at the Cardinals looked at Cardinal's last year beat the Seahawks outright. Still, when the Cardinals weren't very good at all, I think they match up fairly well, they're feeling good about themselves coming off the big win. For the Cowboys there, sitting at four into the sea Hawks can't defend anybody. They're giving up a bevy of points, no matter what is going on, I think is good. As Russell Wilson is, the Seahawks are due for a loss. Not sure 100% they lose. Maybe they went by a field goal in Phoenix. But I believe the play beyond a shadow of a doubt is the cardinal's Plus the points on Sunday. Yeah, this is probably my biggest agreement of the week. To me. This is a coin flip game. So if you're going to give me over a field goal with the team at home, I'm going to take that and run with it. I think Seattle I've been saying this for two years. I kind of sound like an idiot now, but I don't think they're that good..

"That seems I think they do. And I think you might be watched him right now. Okay. If Jack enemy no. No jacket, the other office recorded. Okay. If Jackie's bees is going to Continue on there and be in charge of football that he has a very long contract there, which is a mistake. He's awful, but that's beside the point. Then his connection with Josh McDaniels. He has a connection with Nick Stereo, Josh McDaniels and then the other coach that he has a big connection with his dabble Sweeney. So it would be. I think it'll be one of those Airbnb. I don't think he's gonna get hired anywhere is AH, a head coach, and certainly not any time soon. If I don't understand why people it's almost like people don't know his background or something. It's horrendous. Ah, and then you look it. Ah, On top of that, you know, you look at his stint is an O. C. In Colorado. He was lost. He is not the OSI in Kansas City. Right now It's a title and you read calls all the plays. The enemy just calls him into the homes. So I, you know, I I don't know what it is that people think I don't know where the legend of Erik the enemy happened, and I see this on Twitter all the time, and people are like, Well, it's a race thing, and I'm like, man, that's that's not it at all. It really is not it on people. We gotta be careful about that because they're going to get going to get embarrassed. Going to bat for a guy that it has an absolutely horrific past. Well, I will bring something up on the heels of that, because you're right. That does get usually put out there almost immediately. That's a race thing you are is plugged into the league as anybody I know. And you, you brought up something that nobody else has brought up when it comes to Eric the enemy and you've talked about his interviewing and how that has come up in past when he has had interviews that he's just has really struggled in those. So it's that coupled with the knowledge that that really he, it's it's Andy Reid. That is kind of the architect of things and again. I'm not sure I'd explain. But maybe there is something else there, and I don't know. But you have that you have that. And then you have his history, right which you've also talked a little bit about and right. Flags. Maybe he's changed. But when you're gonna make somebody the face of your your billion dollar, multi billion dollar franchise And they've got a problematic past. That's a problem, especially in this era, you know. Uh, so I guess it's a tough sell. And that's not to say that he can't or isn't a reformed human being. We can all change. Every one of us has got stuff in the past. We've done that We know is stupid. And, you know, I wish that we could, which we hadn't done every one of us, so I don't want to sit here and be the rocks and glass houses Guy. But I am trying to give you guys the reasoning behind this. He has interviewed poorly. I can tell you that I talked to somebody who sat in on an interview with him. And the other coaches that had come in for consideration. Had come in and brought binders with them and laid out a four and five year plan. You know, detailed instructions, how they do things down to a meal plans and things like that. The enemy showed up with a blank notebook looking to take notes. At a head coach interview. House way. I mean, that's that's not going to leave the right impression. We know that right? And so that it's just one of those things where you know if you're If you don't have to be prepared to be a leader, and I think we all I think people in this market certainly remember his stint associate Colorado It was horrendous, hey, often looked lost out there. In terms of I mean, the whole team look lost, and in fairness they didn't have the body's out there to be able to do what they want. But he looked lost out there specifically as well. And he's not the mastermind behind Pat Mahomes and Andy Reid. And I want people to understand that all these people clamoring for Eric Enemy reading the home saying coming with him. And so that that to me, I look around. I see his name. It's the top of some these lists, and I'm like over a guy like Greg Roman, who's done it three or four different places. Over a guy like Pete Carmichael, who's who sat there in New Orleans and run the Sean Payton run the offense with Sean Payton for years, and you know that you're going that offense is notoriously effective. Andi, you're Brian table. Look what he's done with Josh Al. Those are proven commodities. Oh, I can see it's misty extra point. What's the line on this? 1? 11 11 half? Yeah, okay. I'm not sure what the final line was, but this coast I I got on the money line, So it's whatever I I just I just don't understand that. I think that people who want Eric the enemy don't understand or know who Eric, the enemy is. They want the chiefsoffense and you're not going to get that. So that's what bugs me know I'm with you, and he's not a candidate to my knowledge for the Houston Texas job. I I really do believe it'll probably Josh McDaniels or abalone. And that depends on if Jack is still in charge of football or coming near, lets him go as well. And Josh McDaniels creates his own set of history there as well, his own problems. I mean, I'm not, you know, so people could maybe look past him growing out of what happened here in Denver, Denver. People won't but people could nationally but what he did with Indianapolis race people again. You know, the guy's talented he'll get another chance. I'm not. I'm just saying I wouldn't be that organization. I would not let that guy into my facility. I would not be giving that him that chance. But that doesn't mean you know, people chase. You know guys from coaching trees all the time. And I mean, that's one of the reasons we're talking about Eric, be enemy. That's one of the reasons shopping. That's right. And and And so Josh McDaniels tried to take the Patriot way to Denver now, in hindsight, giving him GM Responsibilities. That was a mistake, right? Especially guy that young. You don't want to give that so he'll learn from that. And you may be set up because of what you just experience with Bill O'Brien. You won't give a head coach G m, you know, responsibilities right away Anyways. You probably want to avoid that, by the way. How attractive is this job right now? That's the thing. It's a tough sell. Yeah. How you gonna sell somebody on the Houston taxes? Shall they traded away? Joe Davin Clowney. DeAndre Hopkins..

I see eighty eight talking about the the first call to start the show the tricky question this guy called every show today with that question it's went to come and Colfax thank you for that another call or excuse me another tweeter Jacob hander tweet me on behalf of bills mafia and this is an important one on behalf of bills mafia I wanna apologize for that call ranting about Josh Allen a Matt Ryan Josh sounds young QB with potential it just remains to be seen what will happen and McDermott's defensive coach was the best fit for young QB thank yeah and you know you left out it's insulting to Matt Ryan an M. V. P. to compare Josh Allen tomb I mean I get people want to say that Ryan is not Aaron Rodgers although he did demolish him in the NFC championship game a couple years ago and you know he he is he has gone toe to toe with drew Brees but drew Brees unfortunately has the once you've all Matt Ryan does not but I could see if you wanna put those guys ahead of him you know let's not get nuts here excuse me one more William true kalo Patroclus whatever I don't know how to say it William let's just say I agree thousand percent about the Dolan tweets paramedic in Westchester county sitting here at work hoping I won't get sick it's disgusting to see with some of the tweets are and that was in reference to the people who were tweeting you know things about Dolan lightly basically you know trying to have some fun with Jim Dolan testing the owner of the X. testing positive for the corona virus that is not something that that is that is nice at all you know we're looking over and with the NFL free agents some of the top guys that are left you know G. Debbie on Clowney is still left and he's gonna make a difference wherever he goes you get cam Newton to get James once a term of three number one picks are out there three number one picks in NFL free agency still there clan is gonna get a big deal who knows what Newton and ones that are going to get and where they would go but I have a hard time believing that you wouldn't want to take a chance you know again you look at the bears the bears going get Nick Foles you'd rather get Nick Foles then cam Newton I think I'd even rather take Jameis Winston and look I don't love Winston and the numbers would change significantly in a different office of system is not going to throw thirty interceptions now I may not lead the league in your did you may not throw for thirty three touchdowns but it's not going to the three interceptions in a more balanced offense he can make some plays though the raiders on Mariota I don't you read that Mariota them both cam Newton Jameis Winston Philip rivers they can do James Winston Ryan Fitzpatrick with the dolphins you'd rather have him than you would cam Newton let's say I don't know there's got to be a better this to somebody's got to take a chance on these guys I mean you don't can't do more than B. P. not too long ago and the risk of his injury can't be that bad you're gonna pay a hundred million Bucks I would be intrigued by both those two options if I were a quarterback needy team like I was saying yesterday the problem is I guess is that you have teams now that want to go with their own young guy and try to you know make the most of their guy and develop him as opposed to going to pick up somebody else's castoff or if you have your guy in place you're gonna try to draft to develop your own young guy will continue to develop or you already have a guy in place so you think all who would wanna use cam Newton the quarterback who could use cam Newton quarterback play so bad around the league I think cannot be better than dak Prescott in Dallas and only love can I know it isn't all over the place but the guy is I mean he's a beast when healthy he's been a beast down around the goal what is dangerous Hey maybe you give him a little more weapons of put him tried in a different office of system it's just not accurate down the field that's what made me a little crazy about camp but still I would take a chance on NJ assuming somebody that throws thirty three touchdowns he's got the potential I was a number one pick you know these guys have some potential there is a camera would even better than Josh Allen a buffalo how about that kind of similar Josh bell makes his biggest plays with his legs now I know the potential may be greater maybe hope that you know he that deep ball that he throws you know Allen's got a cannon but is it accurate is gonna be smart enough okay moves already won an MVP candles ready bindu Superbowl bill says open Josh al could one day Smith some of that success but it will be fascinating to see where both all three of those former number one pick.

"Rocket mortgage is with you respond to a couple of tweets here let's see we got some that they can't hear and then some that that are nice let's see both of them were actually you know I'm not saying the ones that I can there are nice I'm just reading through some of them let's see what we got a couple want to get to in particular one Ricky Seagram's chimes in via Twitter and again AT cell underscore Licata L. I see eighty eight talking about the the first call to start the show trivia question this guy called every show today with that question it's went to come and Colfax thank you for that another call or excuse me another tweeter Jacob hander tweet me on behalf of bills mafia and this is an important one on behalf of bills mafia I wanna apologize for that call ranting about Josh Allen Matt Ryan John sounds young QB with potential it just remains to be seen what will happen and McDermott's defensive coach was the best fit for young QB thank you and you know you left out it's insulting to Matt Ryan an M. V. P. to compare Josh Allen tomb I mean I get people want to say that Ryan is not Aaron Rodgers although he did demolish him in the NFC championship game a couple years ago and you know he he is he has gone toe to toe with drew Brees put drew Brees unfortunately has the once you ball Matt Ryan does not but I could see if you wanna put those guys ahead of him you know let's not get nuts here excuse me one more William true kalo Patroclus whatever I don't know how to say it William let's just say I agree thousand percent about the Dolan tweets paramedic in Westchester county sitting here at work hoping I won't get sick it's disgusting to see with some of the tweets are and that was in reference to the people who were tweeting you know things about Dolan lightly basically you know trying to have some fun with Jim Dolan testing the owner of the X. testing positive for the corona virus that is not something that that is that is nice at all you know we're looking over and with the NFL free agents some of the top guys that are left you know G. Debbie on Clowney is still left and he's gonna make a difference wherever he goes you get cam Newton to get James once a term of three number one picks are out there three number one picks in NFL free agency still there clan is gonna get a big deal who knows what Newton and ones that are going to get and where they would go but I have a hard time believing that you wouldn't want to take a chance you know again you look at the bears the bears going get Nick Foles you'd rather get Nick Foles then cam Newton I think I'd even rather take James once and and look I don't love Winston and the numbers would change significantly in a different offense of system is not going to throw thirty interceptions now we may not lead the league in your did you mean I throw for thirty three touchdowns of thirty interceptions in a more balanced offense he can make some plays though the raiders on Mariota I don't you read that Mariota them both cam Newton Jameis Winston Phil Brevard has been canned tuna James Winston Ryan Fitzpatrick with the dolphins you'd rather have him than you would cam Newton let's say I don't know there's got to be a better this to somebody's got to take a chance on these guys I mean you don't can't do more than B. P. not too long ago M. the risk of his injury can't be that bad you're gonna pay a hundred million Bucks I would be intrigued by both those two options if I were a quarterback needy team like I was saying yesterday the problem is I guess is that you have teams now that want to go with their own young guy and try to you know make the most of their guy and develop him as opposed to going to pick up somebody else's castoff or if you have your guy in place you're gonna charge drafted develop your own young guy will continue to develop or you already have a guy in place so you think all who would wanna use cam Newton the quarterback who could use cam Newton quarterback play so bad around the league I think cannot be better than dak Prescott in Dallas and only love can I don't isn't all over the place but the guy is I mean he's a beast when healthy he's been a beast down on the goal line is dangerous Hey maybe you give him a little more weapons of put him tried in a different office of system it's just not accurate down the field that's what made me a little crazy about camp but still I would take a chance on NJ assuming somebody that throws thirty three touchdowns he's got some potential I was a number one pick you know these guys have some potential there is a camera would even better than Josh Allen a buffalo about that kind of similar judge Joe makes his biggest plays with his legs now I know the potential may be greater maybe hope that you know he that deep ball that he throws you know Allen's got a cannon but is it accurate is gonna be smart enough to know Kimmons already won an MVP candles ready been to a Super Bowl bill says open Josh al could one day Smith some of that success but it will be fascinating to see where both all three of those former number one pick.

"Drop in from the color guy got a is a fitting or it was Ding dong the witch is dead and really what it came down to a we're gonna talk a whole heck of a lot about Tom Brady about villains about what where Bella check in the patriots go and just overall as as in a fill fans where we go but how do we not store about giving this team the Titans an unbelievable amount of credit because it was all dear can read it was Mike for able coming in it's a you know what I know they're the big bad bully but we're gonna go and we're gonna punch him in the mouth you know we're going to do we know you're going to do are you good enough to stop us it's house day work dear can we was the absolute terminator monster we thought he would be since he showed up at the university of Alabama years ago yeah I I think if you watched New England this season you saw a defense that was dynamite the beginning of the year and then you saw teams were able to run the football against them and you know Henry is just been up beast all season leading the league in rushing and what might very able said after the game about just not handing New England anything including what they were going to do any ten after fifteen passes yeah in the game Mariota came in for one sixteen throws in a division in a in a playoff game right you know what they knew coming in this is our best player we are going to wear you out we're gonna use the interior part of what we're gonna pound you into submission and you give the Titans credit for sticking to it but you also look at New England say eventually you should try to stop their best player that's always what bell check does it he wasn't able to get that done last night think about a mark tells your reader burns here on the best week ever on ESPN radio when you talked about you know going into fox for all it was always about Hey what quarterbacking goal in battle Tom Brady will ultimately it ended up being a running back it ended up being dear can't read being that guy and there was a certain reason he said at post game presser of what fueled him in a tight spot why not us okay nobody statement from us he died on the dumbing tells you to stay hungry just keep believing in each other all of us in that building all of us together we want to make it happen no matter what I'm anybody rice waiting but he says we want to go out and do it each and every day these practice each play is keep believing in each other like I told you know what out of what what what we can do it well it was interesting because you did do it terror can read you had two hundred and four yards ninety six yards after contact it was one of those things where it's like the steam train this is running downhill legit like you could just tell this was what might very Abel's game plan was going in and we're going to pound him into submission they're going to be tired and when we want it you're not gonna be able to stop Derrick Henry in Henry is one of those running backs that you've played with a long sigh Brett farb by the way mark tells everybody that when you hand him the rock long enough in it and I'm not under enough amount of times he just seems to get stronger and stronger and that's what he was in the Balkans yeah this actually looks like to me and not to throw it back to me again but the Wisconsin badger running the football back in the nineties we always go where we ARE quarterback Withrow ten times and you think how do you win that way well this is what Tennessee thought going into it we can be more physical than what knowing one's going to do and our best player is he is he's gonna be able to get the job done in thirty four carries for a Buck eighty two five for a Kerry in New England never had an answer and there's nothing more fun from an offense inside of the football if you all know that we can how do you in there it nothing you can do about it that's what Tennessee felt last night and that's why they're able to go into Foxborough with right ten hoser quarterback in take down the greatest quarterback of all time I can't believe that and I I posted that tweet last night at Peter burns ESPN at said I I'd the patriots dynasty may have just come to an end by the hands of dairy cannery and eighty Texas a and M. wide receiver because remember Ryan Tannehill actually started his career with Texas a and M. as a wide receiver he wasn't even a quarterback finally they ended up moving him to quarterback and eventually gets into the league in in place that way but it just think about this the way the patriots lost their last two games Foxborough is one of the what it that's like the gold standard when it comes to home field advantage really I mean if you've ever heard the fog horns going off the week it's not just the fans they go crazy that is a tough place to play in the last two games you lose to the dolphins and you lose to the Titans those are the last two games of Tom Brady's ever gonna play at fox world that's not style yeah well hope field is great but you better have a good team to go back with it and those other teams that you've kind of built that legacy of it out it's just not there and that's why we saw what we saw last night and how about this they would a hundred in four starts a hundred in four starts in the NFL between back to back home losses the end of an error in many different ways all right when we come back it wasn't just that game that was great find out why Josh al and is now my second favorite player in the National Football League yes Josh Alan not to Sean what's that coming up next is mark tells rob Peter burns is the best week ever on ESPN radio shocked.

"Death of ISIS. Now, maybe I'm premature on this, but I am taking the Kurdish and the word for this because the, the ISIS media department that normally is embedded with the actual ISIS fighters has melted away, actually over the past year. An ISIS have not been able to produce on there really well, produced very, very slick high definition soundtrack. Well, edited as cinematic quality propaganda videos. In fact, it's been several years since they've actually put one out primarily because the guys in the ISIS media department, well have been purged by ISIS. Many of them were accused of being traitors. Because of the past couple of years, they haven't been there haven't been many victories for them to tout. And so their offerings have been pretty lean they're now left to angry high school students in Indonesia, sending a Photoshop threats of downtown LA with exploding, high rises and a guy badly layered with the ISIS flag in the front. That's that is ISIS in two thousand nineteen that and a tiny little village along the Friday's river, in the south central part of Syria. That is all this left devices ISIS, surrendered, many hundreds of heavy weapons. Mortars. Antitank missiles, things like that a few days ago, now, according to the Syrian, democratic forces who are, again, the guys that we recruited trained equipped lead and, and supported who have done such a phenomenal job in fighting against ISIS. But they've only done a really good job because a really extrordinary job by several hundred at the most a three or four thousand Americans on the ground in Syria have done a really extrordinary job of coordinating American overwhelming fire support from the air as well as artillery on the ground to fix and destroy ISIS. Isis have not seen the nor did they probably even think of the kind of fire support that America brought to the battlefield not Russia, not even Syria and certainly not the Iranian militias and not the Turks. But the United States. It's sent a very capable tiny task force called operation, inherent resolve that has been decisively lead over the past two and a half years by a general VO, tell that have done a really outstanding counterinsurgency job, and this will go down in history as one of the most successful counterinsurgency in the past several hundred years, because number one, I has been one of the most fearsome and effective insurgencies over the past hundred years, because number one they came from nowhere. The United States invaded Syria in apartment Iraq in two thousand and three and almost simultaneously. I instituted the debate of occasion policy. This is the policy where we dissolved the Iraqi army the regular army the conscript, not just the Republican Guard or the special Republican Guard, who should have been detained and tried as war criminals. But we dissolve. Solved. The regular Iraqi army putting hundreds of thousands of men out on the streets without gainful employment in a basket case collapsed, Iraqi economy from this raw material is where the insurgency against the United States was easily organized by Qaeda. Also by the Iranian Revolutionary Guard who are able to mobilize the, the newly empowered Shia majority of Iraq in two anti American militias in the form of Muqtada, solders, Mahdi army, or Josh al-mahdi. Meanwhile, the more lethal guys where the al-qaeda organiz guys, the Sunni guys the guys from on bar province. The guys from north in to Crete along the, the, the Tigris and Euphrates valleys up, north between Mosul and Baghdad. These were the people who were. Now out of power, these are the people who were in power for thirty years when, as, as one Iraqi described to me, a gang of two Creedy, sheep herders took over Iraq in the form of Saddam Hussein and his clan. And this was the high tide of the Sunni Arabs in Iraq. Well, now the United States army and Marine Corps came to Baghdad and the Sunnis. No now were minorities. They were the richest recruiting ground for al-qaeda, and they were easily the most effective insurgents from early on because Al Qaeda operatives came flooding into Iraq with a battle experience from everywhere from Afghanistan to Chechnya, the idea, experience originally, primarily came from Chechen, who had been very effectively fighting, Russian occupying forces in Chechnya with field expedient roadside bombs that we call improvised, explosive devices, and they. They brought that raw material and Ron knowledge to Iraq and taught Iraqis how to go into unguarded ammunition dumps poll, mortar, and artillery rounds out and put explosive filler into the fuse. Well, tie it to a circuit through a cell phone cheap Nokia, ninety one hundred ten dollar cellphone dig it a very, very shallow grave next to a road and then wait for an American convoy to go by dial. The cell phone number blow up the ID it was devilishly simple. And it was devilishly effective of the five thousand plus American casualties in Iraq at at least three thousand or from roadside bombs or ideas. So the nasty little secret about the American occupation of Iraq is that after the surge the United States and the newly constituted democratic Iraqi government was actually a prevailing in Iraq? And making inroads in fighting the Sunni insurgency to the point where even the Shia militias decided to sit down for a little while and even cooperate and fight. Some of the some of the Sunni terrorist groups primarily Al Qaeda in Iraq, and then something really horrible happen. Abu. Musab bazar Kali, who was Al Qaeda's number one guy in Iraq. It was the number one most wanted man for US forces in Iraq. His Al Qaeda in Iraq, guys blew up a mosque, a very significant mosque in the city of Samara. And what initially had been feared from the moment, we got to Baghdad and that, that being a Shia on Sunni internal civil war a payback war that we had so far avoided suddenly was on. And this was probably our goal. In fact, this is well before we killed them about a year before we kill them. That his goal in L Qaeda's goal in Iraq was to go ahead and set off the religious war, the sectarian war, between the majority Shia and the hated Sunni who were part of Saddam's favored, inner circle, and now they had blown up a significant and very revered mosque of the city of Samara. So the bloodletting was on at a point when the American surge had worked, and we had turned a corner in Iraq. This is a, a lost pivot point to most American media. And this is approximately two thousand eight in all likelihood you could place, the birth of ISIS, right around two thousand eight because the Sunni insurgency took it on a completely different face after the elections had happened, and they were -ffective at a democratically elected government came to power in Iraq. The people who were running the Sunni insurgency, Al Qaeda in Iraq decided to. Change the game. They just didn't change their name yet. But for all intents of purposes, ISIS almost preceded the Syrian civil war, but it wasn't until the Syrian civil war that ISIS got himself a name got himself an identity and entered the major leagues. The life and death of ISIS in four parts part number to Syria. Comes apart at the seams right after this on the dart secret place. KFI AM six forty more stimulating talk.
