"Holiday away from family. How von took six delta flights on December twenty fourth and twenty fifth to be with his daughter Pierce. This story has gone viral and Hal is being hailed as a great father. Here's a serious question. Pierces adult attractive, she's about twenty five. She has her own career. If you were a flight attendant and your dad you and I both lost her dad's last year. But if you're offered to do this like say, hey, I don't want you have to spend holidays fair. So I'm gonna go on six flights in a row. Would you want it or discourage them from doing? No, I would want it. It's first of all. I mean, it's it's a really cool idea. I I love my damn remember, family flies free. So he took advantage of benefits. Yeah. I mean, I think it's fantastic. I would I would love it. I think it's a cool idea. And my dad would love to go viral. You're dead would love to go by viral. I would try and talk my dad out of it simply because I would know he was doing it to be a good, dad. But I know he wouldn't enjoy it to go on sixty like she was going like LA DC to Atlanta to Detroit today, you know, just eating airline, Greg. How about you? If your dad offered to do it. Would you encourage him or discourage him he would never do it? Right. Would how would you feel about it? I think that would be that'd be cool. Then. Absolutely. Why not? And apparently, wait went viral was this guy. How was sitting next to another passenger who thought it was the coolest story he had ever heard like the was flying to go see his family, and he goes, well, my daughter is actually a flight attendant on this flight? So she didn't have to spend the holidays by herself. I'm just hanging out. Right. I'm not going to any of these cities. I'm just flying around. Right. And and and he's being hailed as like a five year type gas. So she enjoyed it. And she really liked it. So good for her good. I just wonder if most people would welcome it or discourage. It sounds like all of us. I would try and talk that out of it just because I know he wouldn't enjoy it. But you guys would take come on come on dad if you're willing to do it. You can make some history, and you can go viral go going viral, the key thing. All right in the in the seventies and eighties. There was a serial killer known as the Golden State killer. A guy named Joseph Di Angelo was arrested in April and charged with the murder of thirteen. But yesterday, he was cleared using DNA technology if he'd been convicted he could have been sentenced to the death penalty, you've always been a proponent of the death penalty. Yeah. Does this story change or my? And it's one of many minutes seems to have won a year where a guy gets Zonta. Yeah. And then gets exonerated later. You know, what I would add strangely popped into my head? When you said it it's like I'm kind of coming around on replay. Replay they replace stuff and then still get the call wrong. And then I wonder well, the the point of replays to get it. Right. So maybe we don't even go there. I'm I am starting to soften on the death penalty. I I would probably still vote for it. But there needs to be several loopholes before we kill somebody. Right. It's almost always men. I can't remember tuning women getting couple. But, but I I would be in favor of several more hoops to jump through before we actually normally it's by injection or in the gas chamber, right? But some of these guys like they'll admit it. Sure. Like, yeah. I killed six people. Right. We don't need you. Here's the thing. Although if you're religious, you know, what a priest would say if he was here is God is the only one who's led to kill and that sort of my view from and this is I've never lost anybody to a murder. Never nobody. I in my family has ever been raped. None. None of these crimes have ever been in my family. But from. A spiritual perspective, I still find it wrong to take a life..

Sacramento Sheriff Scott Jones On The Arrest Of The Golden State Killer
"On the case of the golden state killer an arrest made last night i talk a little bit about this case i'd like to make just a couple preliminary comments when i became sheriff from sacramento in two thousand and ten there were very few outstanding cases that drew the passion and the interest and the dog determination to solve as east area rapist the sheriff that i took over from sheriff john mcguinness who's here with us today told me about the importance of it i don't know that i fully appreciated at that time but i can tell you without exception weekly sometimes more telephone calls or emails to this day from former employees former detectives community members from all over this country that believe that they know or at least have some information on who the east area rapist was committed to do everything that i could to solve it had a lot of conversations early on with district attorney shubert about how we can do it and those discussions really touched the passion of both of us to solve this case both of us committed the best and the brightest are handpicked folks to oversee the resolution of this case and gave virtually unlimited resources and freedom to pursue whatever leads technology currently existed so that i can tell you that over the last few days as information started to point towards this individual we started since avalance we're able to get some discarded dna and we were able to confirm what we thought we already knew that we had our man yesterday afternoon in a perfectly executed arrest my detectives arrested james joseph di angelo seventy two years old living in citrus heights i can tell you that although it was dna ultimately that led us down the right road there are a lot of places that road could have led i don't want to underscore i can't underscore enough the absolute human factor the dogged determination of not only the detectives working on this case but the passion of the district attorney myself the community and the victim's all too often we forget about talking about the victims and today we at least brought the first step towards closure for those victims of these horrendous crimes
