The Philippines Becomes Coronavirus Hot Spot In Southeast Asia

"Philippines has over taken in Tunisia as Southeast Asia's Corona virus hot spot even though Indonesia has twice as many people. The Philippines now has more than 136,000 confirmed cases of covert 19 and critics say no coherent strategy for defeating the virus, Michael Sullivan reports. Like other countries in the region, South Korea, Taiwan and Vietnam, For example, the Philippines recorded its first covert case back in January. Those neighbors acted swiftly. They started locking down when they had a few 100 cases and the timeliness of the response was key to the success of Vietnam, Korea and Taiwan University of the Philippines. Covert researcher Ranjeet Rai. They decided to do something significant when they only had relatively few cases, and they were successful with racing and with the isolation very different from the Philippines, where we already had a case in January, and we decided not to do anything about it until March, and it wasn't just the Philippines lock down. That was late health workers say, Dr Tony Luchon. Is a former advisor to the government's covert task force. They started Lee with the AH building up of the health system capacities in terms of testing isolation. And quantum tracing. We wasted so much time about two months instead of trying to build up our infrastructure's adequate testing and contact tracing are still a huge problem, but the lock down that went into effect in March 1 of the longest and most severe in Southeast Asia. Did help reduce the number of new cases until it was lifted in June, when cases started to skyrocket. Over the weekend, the country's medical front liners issued an urgent virtual plea to President Rodrigo did to reimpose the lock down to allow them to regroup. Medical Association president Dr Jose Santiago Jr. Our health care system has bean overlong our head workers are burned out would seemingly endless number of patients trooping to our hospitals for emergency care and ambition. We're waging a losing battle against carbon 19 President Duterte. His initial response was less than empathetic, accusing the health workers of inciting a revolution against his government. You will give me the free ticket. The state's a counterrevolution. How I wish you would do it. The next day, he retreated and ordered a new 15 day locked down. But it's not a stringent is the first public transportation has been stopped. But businesses and retail outlets Khun operated half capacity in an effort to both halt the spread of the virus and allow some economic activity in the country that's now slipped into recession. But critics say this 15 day locked down light won't stop the spread of the virus. If it goes only 15 days, it will start increasing again. And the problem is that our health Care is now a full capacity. We have two cities in Metro Manila, which are at 100% occupancy. So that's a real problem. That's University of the Philippines. Professor Ghetto divvied who's been modelling the spread of the virus, along with his colleague, grungy dry. If we don't manage this this month, we don't take the opportunity to extend the music. You That small window opening lives and livelihoods would suffer at the disruption will become greater and my sense if we prematurely opened, it could be catastrophic for us. But he acknowledges extending the log down will be a tough sell for both the politically powerful business community and the everyday Filipino who's going to suffer because of these extended lockdowns. Isaiah Briana and James McCann both homered for the Sox. Lucas Giolito seven innings two runs four hits. He walked five but struck out nine. Tough loss. Addressing Health Disparities in Puerto Rico

"Of the continental US, the covert 19 pandemic is happening as the push for social justice continues. Natasha Alford is a journalist for the Gri Oh, and Pulitzer Center grantee. And she traveled to Puerto Rico shortly after the island's political protests in 2019 to understand another uprising taking place on the land What she calls the Afro Latino revolution. She joins us now. Welcome to hearing now. Thank you so much for having me, Tanya. Yes. And Natasha. What? Through lines? Are you saying between the Afro Puerto Rican community and what's happening in other parts of the country in the protests for racial justice? How does PR's history and culture Play out in the construction of race and racial experiences. Yes. Oh, there's so much to unpack there. But you know, the first thing I'll say is after the death of George Floyd, we immediately saw protest. We saw vigils and we saw memorials in honor of his life right in Puerto Rico, So obviously there was something that really resonated with people there. And specifically in Afro Puerto Rican communities. Now often times when people think of Afro Puerto Rican Sze, they may associate them with just one community. One town one neighborhood. I'll give you an example. Louisa has a really high proportion of residents who identify as Afro Puerto Rican. But the reality is that there are black people everywhere in Puerto Rico. It's just his divers as the United States. And so we saw that what was happening in the continental US was really resonating. It's resonating because there are similarities. What have you found in terms of health disparities without for Latinos and other types of disparities? Do they mirror what we see in the continental United States? Yes, I think that there are parallels, and it makes sense, right? Because well, you think about the history of Puerto Rico. There was slavery there as well. Right? Even though our societies may be different, you know, we think of the continental US we think of segregation and Jim Crow. Ah, lot of people just don't know the history of Puerto Rico and and slavery and the aftermath of how it played out. They often assume that Puerto Rico is a Nyland of racial harmony that it is a racial utopia. The phrase La Grande Familia, Kenya. Is about being one Puerto Rican family. But a lot of people will tell you that that's actually not the case. And so with health disparities, one thing that researchers have found is that darker skinned Puerto Rican Sze report poorer health outcomes. And some of the reasons for that are social treatment. The communities in which they live in are sometimes poorer exposure to social stressors. There's ah great research paper that was written that came out of the University of Puerto Rico by Jose Caravaggio, Quito and S. R Boudreau and they talked about Changing the way that we measure those disparities by changing the language we use. So we often think of black and white in the United States, but they did a study where they asked people to list the shade of their skin tone. When they did that they actually got more information that showed what those health disparities were, and the key was using local language and understanding of race rather than trying to impose the continental US is language when it comes to race. Of course,

Pandemic persists, new restaurants prevail in Philadelphia

Wilson says he's in favor of Pennsylvania's dining restrictions, but adds that the full restaurant experience can't be felt solely through take out. You can't put lighting atmosphere service hospitality into it to go box and those air ads with travel on hold. Perhaps outdoor dining can fill that void since travelling is limited really about transporting you somewhere that gives you a feeling and that's the next level of dining. The US will pay up to $10 million if you can ID a foreign election hacker

"Provide information on a foreign hackers who's been meddling with the US election and you could receive up to ten million US dollars as a reward. The US State Department says the reward will go to and I quote information leading to the identification of or location of any person who works with or for a foreign government for the purpose of interfering with US elections through certain illegal cyber activities well to explain that and tell us more. Let's hear from Elizabeth Bro. She leads modern deterrence program at here in London. Welcome back to the program Elizabeth and just describe what exactly the US State Department is doing. A good money on at. This is really fascinating program. So but the State Department is doing is essentially offering the same sort of rewards for people who Reports. People who who who are planning to interfere with elections in the same way that's the US government does with people who report terrorist. So it's it's essentially bounty on election interferes information. So how do you go about catching? A Hacker D I mean who we talking about here I mean he's he's going to be claiming the prize to begin to look at counter hackers. Is it a large authorities large private sector organizations or even a teenager in his bedroom? I think it may well be teenager in his bedroom so I think the most likely. Recipient of this money is somebody working with hackers who? May have been who who are in the process of interfering with US elections and we should remember it's not just hackers. It's people who are Spreading this information as well. It aimed at undermining confidence in elections and we should remember the people who are doing it are. Oprah are often operating on behalf of another government but they don't work for the government and that is the problem in the Western governments have it's so hard to to catch them because they are can relive just be people in their bedrooms. Working survivor freelance arrangement with a country, and so people like me have long been thinking about how D- How do we deter how how can we make sure that they don't engage in that behaviour I must say as a European. I just never thought of of the option of offer offering a bounty to to people willing to turn them in. But here this is what? We are getting or this is what what US government is proposing exactly. What does it suggest about the way that the Americans are actually trying to catch these people who who are trying to meddle with the elections. There is some suggestion that you know given the large amount of money ten million dollars, and that the United States might not quite be up to the job themselves. But so this is the interesting thing right I mean when you offer bounded it sort of indicates that you've tried other means and you're not getting anywhere and that's why. Are So often used by the governments to to catch terrorists because it's The government has failed them tend to catch him in other ways, but with election interference to fear of the ways that have usually been sought about the cyber. Cyber defender. Let's say in in in our Western countries. Keeping the country safe and also signaling to to perpetrators would be prepetrators if they commit their offensive acts that would be punishment but clearly, it's not the now for the recent, we can see it's not enough is that These activities continue. So clearly the the the the would be attackers and they and their is don't feel deterred by what's currently happening in the the problem was for the defender is that if you? If you're too heavy handed if you attack back than Jose escalates. It could it could really get out of control. So this is a completely different. Take on and I think it's it's one those Soviet uniquely American with this long tradition of of bounties and something that the property ripping countries won't engage in but but it has worked with with in some cases with terrorists that the US government was was trying to find. So I mean it sounds frankly it sounds completely crazy. Let's see they even Be Able to locate a few hackers. This way Elizabeth, how much evidence is said that the current US elections has already seen some international involvement and interference. So it's It's it's hard to quantify and the the reason that this is so difficult to serve you don't even need to. Successfully interfere with an election in order for that election to be to be tainted or poisoned or compromised. What's it's enough for people to have the impression that that's the election is being. Tinkered with by somebody and and that's the really frightening thing. So that was They've been very service both. Opponents both in the US and elsewhere that people whether such and such election in that country. was interfered with, for example, by the Russians, and and for something in here in UK, there was a recent poll where. Forty nine percent of people in the UK thought that rushing to with the brexit referendum. So it doesn't really matter whether Russia defeated with Brexit Brentford with mattresses at half of the population in the UK thanks that rushing to fit and then the referendum is already tainted by that and that is that makes this whole thing so difficult. So it's it and that's why program like this may not have much. Effect because what matters is people think in other countries interfering

Getting Naked in San Francisco: A History

"Who other than reporter just plot check could take on this not safe for work assignment off she goes from. The state of California has indecent exposure laws, but those only apply if someone is being sexual like masturbating in public or intentionally offensive flashing someone. But what if you're just hanging out naked minding your own business? California leaves that up to local governments. For the first half of the Twentieth Century San Francisco didn't have public nudity laws. FRISKIN S- just didn't go nude much but then the sixties arrived and with it naked people. Some saw disrobing as a form of political artistic or personal expression college students got a taste for streaking and then there were the hippies. It's just delightful to be in I'll be in and that's what this is another exotic prank to add to a growing list of student oriented rites of Spring. It's sort of a happy happening for hippies in San Francisco hippies wanted to get closer to nature and they got naked a lot in golden gate park. Here's a quote from police chief. Thomas Hill it wasn't uncommon for a Gal that come out of the bushes there in the. Panhandle. Without a damn stitch and stand right in front of you with our hands up. I was out in the park in two started going to it on the lawn beside me just to remind you sex is sexual and as such already illegal according to the state. But still conservatives wanted tougher local laws to prevent this kind of behavior and they eventually got nudity banned in the parks. However, the rest of San Francisco was still fair game. As time passed other cities made public nudity illegal among them, San Jose, and Berkeley Berkeley's interesting because it's been mostly due to one naked Guy Andrew Martinez a student at the University of California Berkeley. Decided that American society is sexually repressed and in an effort to write things he began attending classes and going everywhere else in the nude save for a pair of sandals backpack people theorized that Martinez was able to go nude without major complaint for so long because he was easy on the is Martinez attempted shock tactic soon, became old news among his fellow students to me was simply the naked guy. Administrators however sent Martinez home to stay warm until his case can be considered by a student conduct board in Nineteen ninety-two Martinez was expelled showed up naked to his disciplinary hearing at UC. Then in one, thousand, nine, hundred, three here arrived naked to a Berkeley city council meeting members were offended and voted to make public nudity a misdemeanor crime. Back in San Francisco Nudist, enjoy their time in the Sun City developed a reputation for bodies in the buff especially at certain public events like folsom street fair a leather fetish festival or Beta breakers of rambunctious twelve k race who was an exhilarating experience people on the sidelines cheering. Go naked people go. All right. This is a rich Pasco in nineteen, ninety eight he started running naked in Beta breakers. Pasco is also the coordinator of the Bay Area Nature rests we're group of people who believe that the human body is God's divine creation nothing to be ashamed of, and that our interaction with Mother Nature is enhanced by removing the barrier of clothing. POSCO says it wasn't just public events where people could let it all hang out there also newt approved beaches in certain places where nudists would congregate lose a group of people in San Francisco who thought that going new to Jane Warner Plaza would be a good idea. It's that plaza in the Castro with a few benches where the streetcar stops, it's a little urban park. In this little urban park became an urban nude beach,

Of a Certain Age, with Jim Metzendorf

"L. Everyone. This is David sparks joined by my pal and yours Mr Stephen Hackett how's it going Stephen? It's good David it is. It is good. I have to say. That, our guest today really has on my toes. which will get reasons of like it's kind of like when you show up at work like the boss's boss's they're like and you feel like you can't goof off her do anything I'm going to be on my best behavior is what I'm saying that. Well, you know, well, why don't we just welcome to the show Jim Medicine Dorf Jim Nice to have you on the Mac power users summer of fun. The. Show it was so great hanging out with you guys last month that DUB DUB and San Jose. Wrong universe. Hey, guys, thanks for having me I. appreciate it. So for those who who may not know I, need to give a little back story to. With Jim a lot of you probably know Jim he's part of the sort of apple audio community online but when I came on the show now what a year and a half ago I over the editing that was kind of one of the one of my. Sticking points today was like I'll do it but I when I went the edit and I edited it for quite a long time and over time needed to hand it off to somebody else and. Jim is that somebody else will get into this but Jim at, it's a lot of podcast including a lot on relay FM and I'll tell you honestly we didn't get a single comment the week you took over because you are you're better editor than I am first of all, but it was so seamless and you're so good to work with and. That's all great. But you're also like this big MAC nurse we're GONNA get into that today. So that's when I say. I'm on my toes. So I take notes during the show via maybe places where we talk over each other we need to fix something and now gyms just here he here's all that anyways because he edits the show but now he's going to hear them in real time just how bad we are at the sometimes. Yeah. Jim. Is The all hearing ear of the relay network and I was joking with him earlier because when we record the show and I make a mistake, I can't help myself I say sorry Jim every time and we write it down. So there's probably a super cut of MEESANE. Sorry Jam like fifteen minutes long if you put it all together but the other thing that's where it is Jim here's all our shows before they released. So sometimes Jemele text me about something that happened on focus and say how's that going Wait anyway. But Jim is a pro audio engineer and Mac Nerd we talk about audio workflows and video workflows. Today Jim also has some of the things that he does a lot He's got a small business and we're GONNA, talk about that and he's a musician and we Jim and I got on the phone yesterday and we kind of worked out all of our jazz talk. So we knew ca Stephen is going to. Go crazy if I spend the whole episode talking about it but but Jim uses APPs and technology for some of his music too. So we got a lot to cover today. Jim, are you ready strapped in for this? I'm ready. Let's do it. All right. Well, give us a little background Jim, how did you get all this knowledge and get to where you right now? Oh my gosh. Well, I. The first thing to say is I'm. A person of a certain age I'm forty five to be exact. So wait wait wait. person of age. Forty five. Yeah. I used to catch myself doing that I'm not that old why? Why are we doing this to ourselves Jim? You're good. It works for some of us. Just remember what Indiana Jones says though it's not the years it's the mileage. Yeah exactly. So you know I say I'm forty five because I have been using the MAC for an awful long time. Now, at this point I got my first machine in Nineteen ninety-four. Was a quadra eight, forty, eight V. I'll try to go through the the life history of Jim as quickly as I can. So we can get to the stuff that's of use to will listeners hopefully, but I was exposed to audio and video and photography from birth more or less My Dad was a professional photographer. And he was also the recording engineer for a regional symphony where I grew up. Here in Ohio. and. So really at a at a young age, I would go with him to concerts. And by the time I was ten or twelve years old I was helping him. Rap Microphone Cables and. kind of learning. Some of the very, very basics of audio. Through through Osmosis of. Spending time with him while he was doing his thing.

"And it's our Pleasure to welcome in a two time Emmy Award winning bucks. TV analysts a five time eh, NBA All Star. Did also play at Bella and won a national championship. That's Marcus Johnson here with us on the Zach Yelp show. Marcus appreciate the time How you doing? I'm doing bills. Everything is no good. All can play good benefits in basketball family from your lips to God's ears. Can't wait to see what's gonna happen in the N B. A bubble. I saw video back in February, You were wearing a Kobe Bryant jersey and you actually threw it down in your road. I'm still dunking at 64 years old. Have you been dunking at all during the pandemic? Or was that a one time thing at 64 district Cream donuts, Bad eye. You must have been nervous, right? Well, every year on my birthday, I do a dung just to see if I could still do it. I didn't plan on doing it this year. Just chill out at my son's a SIA. All over social media. They have got to do it contingent to the one in Sydney one in with that inside, And so, of course, I did a couple of warm up to feel pretty good and And we decided absent phone brought up two tackles. Omar, you know, taco fallen. Whoever jumped over him, Aaron Gordon. Whoever dumped over way last year Next year I'll be 65. That's the official retirement age. I've been retired. I'm Travis. You have to do one more 65 years old. I gotta pay the bed after that. I don't blame you. I don't. I can't even dunk right now. I can't imagine being able to dunk when you're in your sixties. Marcus Johnson here with us on the show. When we look at this MBA restart. We know that the Bucks are the best team in the league. From a record standpoint right now they're going to be the number one seed in the Eastern Conference. The's eight games inside of the bubble. What do you look for out of them where they could really ease themselves back into playing shape? The annex a great question. I was just kind of pondering that looking at the books. Play that scrimmage against neworleans the other night and You know, I just don't think that teams should put too much into the eight. Feeding games. It's a gradual buildup. You want to be planned your best basketball. Obviously when, when the playoffs start. This is such a weird. Praise the different type of experiment. Probably guys. And so, um, you know, see positives from the brother. I've seen not good things about in terms of Kind of fighting since, um, some difficulties against the product in here tonight, but, you know the season games Because boom Jose lost compete. He's gonna want these guys to come out and and just so effort show competitive competitiveness from Paris. But I'm not sure about the ones. The won and lost record is important. At this stage of the game. It's all about kind of a slow, gradual buildup. I've been exploding wants to play all secure here. When you look at the team from last year to this year. What do you see is the biggest difference as they even got better from what they were last year, which was impressive. Well, I mean, ways that it rest values that they're so what he has done that He's given Chris Middleton a breather at defense. Can't Chris I was just looking up Christian defensive record 107th overall, 22nd ranked small forward LeBron and collide As I said at the top. But Chris doesn't have to get all that energy trying to beat this Great three and the win. Clare and I could focus on his office and I was a result becomes one of seven or eight guys who was Trying to suit you both 20% from the three point line, stick to the set plus from the field and monitor it from the people that I think a 20 point today. Yes, I think that's direct benefit to Chris Middleton. Eric Bledsoe also, let's not forget him, Master. He struggle big time last couple of years in the playoffs and honestly, stuff a big farm of the playoffs. Uh, this year, he seemed to be a lot more comfortable in his basketball scared now. It is kind of getting a late start based on tested positive and them in quarantine and all that stuff. How quickly he could kind of get back into a rhythm and flow going to be a big difference. But today I think this team has gotten even better, but local tradition of Robin Has really been a great great move. But John forced our president breaking Robin Lopez, and now we've got two bent beak gets standings and leave so I think the defense has been even better than the great detective team from last season. Marcus Johnson here with us it Zaki help show on CBS Sports radio doing a little bubble breakdown on the Milwaukee butts nationally. The big question about Chris Middleton is. Can the Bucks win it all with him? Be in the Bucks. Second best player. He's a two time All Star. Give me the local feel on that. Our people still concerned locally about Middleton be in that number to peace and winning the championship this year. Right here is where you go. I could go to a barber shop in the hold of the brothers give Ah, little about depended on Chris have the huge games but In terms of inside basketball people, people that have watched Chris closely like myself. I really believe that Chris, it's all about his confident being an all Star to the second consecutive D up really? Helps his belief in himself as being one of the elite players in the league and kept in one of the shooters in the league. And you couple that with the fact that he comes back, he's getting guns for arms and get this definition I've never seen before. His body status. Probably way dog looks really good, really in great shape of the Kalpoe talked about his explosion and bounciness coming back after the four months off was really, really surprised. So he's really putting the work that during this time off to come back and make himself I've been so on. But with president mentally I think that way you get tomato last year, the average with just 14 points in the field, and he left. How Laurie, pending for a big cheque of those minutes in that six game lost to the crap. You have to be enough to love. So you've got a lot to prove, but I think Based on what I'm looking at changes of his body where he is physically brave is right. But I think he's ready to make that statement. When I look at the Eastern Conference, I really do fully expect Milwaukee. To get to the finals. They were in that one seed spot last year did not get there When you look at the Eastern Conference this year, who's the biggest challenger for the Bucks when the season resumes tomorrow night? It's really interesting. You get him some. I think three really legitimate. Even the Miami that mix also, you can't count out exposure and then the butler as your lead gap, but I think there's still a little bit godly hero of none. And guys like that. And then he began by making just a little bit young and that, Betty, but I really believe that Celtics man. I mean, people talk about the Raptors, who I respect about. Nick Norris is a great coach. Brad Stevens was great, but one through four in terms of scoring and issues and problems. You know Jason Taylor planted Kemba Walker is the number one option. That's two through four group these guys to produce and I think about taking on like the game, and that's the most since that Golden State a couple of years ago, but most just like second most 1995 in terms of looking for and then when Gordon Hayward is your fourth option, going going home. What is your fourth option? And then we talk about a container my greatest been, but then this Dylan Brown watching his footwork. Watching the lip bruised stands the finishes in traffic. He's a guy that could be a real problem for team like the book had been. The wild card would be market smart. Distant Jabba, even though Marcus Smart Sixthree export out of 16 11 Marcus Smart office of players and we know how much she just underneath their skin. And so he's a guy that has given me honest as much trouble as anybody scoring effectively and officially against it, So I said that and then the two big catch I mean the pick and roll for five hours straight that Boston life's run. Those two guys found business cancer, pounded it inside a greatjob getting into the paint and score of them that I'm not gonna puke my shot and roll that movies have private medical himself. I really believe that Celtics to me that they're not deed. I think both those four score that they have been a lot of pressure on the Milwaukee ways that do the Middleton. To defend at a high level every night in order to be a minute in a series.

"You got that down when I got to be a leader and that's what it takes. You got to be a leader when you run a gym your Lebeau ro any business your leader with so. That's why I'm working with him on but that's definitely my plan with everybody. I tell all the trainers that have come across. If you're still with me and ten years teaching sounds wrong broke. Yeah yeah sounds wrong with that. You shouldn't be here. You should have your own shape. Gotcha last question. What's up noted you a family man. You got a beautiful wife and you got to kids. How does the Jose Morales Boxing? Academy help you improve your family but hoddle is your Fam- help you improve. Jose Morales Boxing Kademi. You have to have a good balance So it is it's I think A lot of people have a hard time balancing that out. Like if you go all in on Your Business and you. Kinda don't spend time with your family. That's where that especially with the Finn asked like I'm here with females females. Yeah Mario Average shoe though is to my wife be like Yo a what the fuck you know what I'm saying so you you have to bring him along you know they got us. See that you're actually grinding. You know what I mean. They gotta be living in what you saw up. Bring him to like at the beginning of you don't believe I'm grinding at the gym from five. Am I'm here? Come up here with me. See what I'm doing so you could see. I did that a couple of times. And then she got to the point like okay but I believe you and once they see that you get the trust they know what you're doing. I mean you gotTa really do that. And then at the same time you got to spend time with your kids near spend time with your wife and not all business. You know what I'm saying so I've always been in their life where I've always. I will my kids and my ex wife like. I've always traveled a lot of always been busy so not but I never owned my odd. Never owned my own shit like always invested in investment partners. So now finding that what Mylan Academy now. I gotta find time to do things. I gotta be locked in but also have a balanced with my kids family but also make sure that I pay attention to them all the hell out of everything. I set up dates. Particular for like Friday is from my wife on Sunday. We flipped with my kids. I on Sunday. I'll be with my oldest. She blew my youngest and we'll go on dates with them. Okay just create that one on without you know what I'm saying..

"And your decision making in your sacrifice has to outweigh any other thing when I mean sacrifice. I most people don't know what sacrifice me when it comes to become an NBA player especially a young NBA player like a high school. Most of my friends wanted to drink smoke weed and party and in college. You WanNA drink smoke. We can go to all the party. I that those sacrifices that you have to make to become an NBA player. Like I didn't drink smoke until I got done playing professional basketball and so that sacrifice for me was. I knew what I wanted I would say. Don't get caught up into all the hype. Don't get caught up into the HOOPLA. Be Your own man. Be Your own. Be Your own woman in walking only and don't be a follower. That's a good advice. Because there is a lot of followers people try to do some consoles and not because in the heart Anything you WANNA add on to the podcast for anything on AD. Nah Man. I'm a good time. I appreciate you for having me. Oh man it was great conversations man breakup now you what made you want to start this? Jose Morales Boston. Kademi and change from prime time. We'll made me. Yeah Oh shit man a lot of things but the biggest one I wanted to make me you know what I mean a prime time with me. I mean I wanNA make me. I wanted to the biggest thing is to the warrior program. That's me that's something I created something like you said. I wanted to change people's lives outside of boxing and I wanted to make him a better version so they did on thing outside of boxing in Buckner. Their world champions. I'll be like you know that was me and I felt like I couldn't do that under the primetime umbrella. So that's what made me do it and I think ever since I did is probably the best decision I made man What do you think the biggest? What was the biggest jump from you? Leaving Primetime to Jose a gambling on yourself so like you got other small businesses that want to take jump. They scared what would you tell them? I would tell them fucking overthinking. I didn't overthinking I. I knew what I wanted to do. I left the prime time because I wanted to see if I could do it under prime time but I felt like had been established for so long already had an identity. You know what I'm saying. I can't change that identity and with me soon as I came in. I I made it me. I didn't think about it twice but I said I'm GonNa do it on did it. And I think that's what people struggle on people start to think and think like how you did it when you were going to retire. You're like fuck I'm done. You didn't overthink Shit. You said I'm done and that's what I did. I said I'm done. I'm going to change it. I'm GonNa make me so that's what I would tell. People think whatever decision you're making if it's in your heart it's in your heart you know when there's there's a difference when you fill it in your heart when issues like. I want to go to Hawaii when Bush H is that you want to do versus when it's in your heart like Damn. I really do want to move to Hawaii. I'm saying there's a different type of you feel it when it's coming from your heart so coming from your heart. Manson's jump on it and do it. And that's that's exactly what I did and I and I man I gambled on myself and I will do it again. I had to just kind of like you're gambling on Bobby Jackson Academy..

"I'm a steak with coaching his loans. It takes him but I know I got basketball. My Best Ball Kademi over here that I know are you can develop these young kids when young age and then they give from elementary to junior high to high school college and then once they get to college and then you'd be like go ahead you. You like you own enough to make your own decision. Now if I've done a great job and you still comfortable with me. Once you develop into that player that you want to become now you can just come back and work out and be the person that you are within facility so for me. It's just developing really giving him the right from the mills and skills to understand it but it's also about allowing him to be young men and young women And talking to them in Ran Vietnamese but also giving him the confidence to go out there and believe in themselves. Yeah you had mentioned to me that you wanted to do something similar to what I'm doing with the warrior program would levels stages and stuff like that. Did you put something together like like? I said we've got fifty to fifty two week curriculum. And tough thing about it when we corona here. I've only had two classes and luckily I didn't go build this big silly. I rented it out with knee high skew school and we were doing two days a week. We've given a test run and we were saying how it was going. We was getting really good numbers and then they came in on the back burner but I've been talking with my team and we'll come up with innovative ways to do online Courses to our members With Chris Paul and Larry Hughes we all in under the same umbrella. Bt is is the company that guiding us and giving us The right information just all alone call today trying to come up with video content. The put on a website But the biggest thing is I who knows gonNA happen. Yeah I win a period where you don't know what's going to happen so just try to drive is much content to your website and in social media so when it's time for this to be over with now you have a platform stand on and people are going to keep coming back to you and you have it So once you get back and going I I'm always be a part of Jose. Maradas BOSTON CAB. Because I love what you do. I think you're a great guy But I also think you're you're a great train also the reason why. I'll go nowhere where I feel like. It's bullshit appreciate. I think it'd be a great job and you you. You've been a still in this community for so me so many years taking over prime time and turn I honestly. I probably Bro. Thank you because this year was some shit when before you came over and I like what you've done and When I talked to you about it trying to get some ideas and inputs Me To get part of be part of what is it in like a elected carnet. Yeah Yeah when when I get when I get cracking. I'm a I'm be a small come over to the small member side and check you guys out. Yeah What I WANNA talk about..

Why boxing out of everything you could. Why did you want to do box? I was always intrigued with it growing up as a kid fighting in the streets but then when I stopped playing had to figure out a way to he'll get back into shape because at one point when I got do plan like two or three years at the to do plan man. I just ballooned. I got really really big in so boxing was something that I kinda win. People always told me it is not hard on your body is total body workout. And I think that's the one thing that I love about it in. I'm not a big weight person. I don't like lifting weights and so alike the total body composition that comes with it Whether the shoulders where there's the the Burger squad and the push ups I just don't like wasting so..
