"Your of the hundreds and thousands of dollars of cash do you keep them in the freezer jam paper bags in the closet Hey you know what I ripped out the patented my felt my pillow foam and I actually stopped my pillows with callers yeah since I don't know where I can rest my head the only Aussie because who is Jose Quintana Jose Huizar is a city councilman from the Los Angeles City Council and this scandal I wish I could tell you was brand new but it has been going for a long time the FBI has been doing a little investigating about a pay for play scandal in Los Angeles that resulted in one city councilman Mitch Englander already resigning because he spent his money on ladies but like many kills a red gnome like on eighties you meet ladies of negotiable faction professional career ladies and so he resigned at not so long ago Republican holds his C. Jommelli hold his seat now on the city council is the only Republican representative on the LA city councilman Jose Huizar however is it a councilman who oversaw all of the development deals throughout Los Angeles his district is prime real estate property in downtown LA and apparently as I would drive around downtown LA and some buildings would just pop up overnight and others would take about twenty years to build well the reason for that is that Jose Huizar would take them campaign donations where we're a little donors are up against a hard break five thousand Bucks in cash get a hundred and twenty nine thousand dollars in his closet you took all the money in paper bags and don't be surprised if the mayor mayor Garcetti is implicated in this weather it's shoe Polish on your face bags of cash you know freeze all racist frat parties the Democrats have a look Jennifer hold onto a single come back with the one and only balance of nature changing the world one life at a time so it could be ophthalmologist for my eye exam I usually go yearly is this what are you doing Michael about back to nature he's well whatever you're doing keep it up my primary doctor he couldn't get over how much better I was doing he said he'd never seen anything like it I hope this is really kicking off because since it's been a godsend some family I mean I'm a pharmacist and party years I haven't had a cold balance of nature has impacted my life in a positive way don't wait to see what getting over ten servings of whole fruits and vegetables every day can do for you right now balance of nature is offering free shipping and.

"The card commerce job they got that Jose Huizar on camera in Las Vegas and the they got and the cashier scratching his head because he can't figure out where Jose Huizar got this got the chips from yes this is the thing that people don't realize when you go to the I mean unless you know a lot of Vegas people realized but I'm saying if you don't know the Vegas scene you can't just take a thousand dollar chip and go to the window and Kasher they ask where did you get this so what games did you play they don't want they don't want their they don't want their chips out there and and and that's for a lot of recession but one of them is they just want their chips out there being used in this way and the government wants you to pay taxes on your winnings in other words a hold of you know economic ecosystem that depends on you know if you walk in with ten thousand you walk out with twenty thousand that ten thousand that you won is taxable right and and also they want to talk to the pit boss to see if you indeed did win that or are these stolen chips in every single chip I believe everything above a twenty five dollar chip so every everything at a hundred plus they'll have computer chips in them yeah I know where it came from but when you walk into a casino and that he did it at nineteen different places are nineteen different times he you know R. I cashed in thousands and thousands of dollars and he could never the the the cashier could ever figure out what was going on and that he may have been the one that ran the mile well they're definitely red flags on it I mean you do need to tell them you can't go in I'll tell you something I have played craps before remember this one thing that really important game but I remember of my girlfriend was there I said Hey would you go cash this chip and it was a big trip for a lot of honey and and they wouldn't take it they they sent her back because she didn't have a card that shows that she's a dollar so you know she could be anything she'll be a prostitute you read drug dealers can be anything and she got this ship or she might have just found it you know it's not they don't just cash chips for anything for anyone so he went through a pretty sophisticated a chip cashing scheme right to get this money now you what they also do I am I didn't know this but you ever take out give credit any any got a casino just all of them but apart from that I don't you can take out markers right exactly okay here's how they didn't know I took a thousand dollar markets I've blown through all my money this years ago and I took the thousand they gave me a thousand dollars credit and I went over to play poker and they said no no no this is not poker money this is funny for the tables and slot machines I try with it I didn't know that yeah they won't let you add they will not let you do that when you have casino credit it must be used on that table game they're not having dentures now yeah right they don't that take your credit to pay your rent they're not giving you couldn't otherwise you could use your you can really could you could float the Christian okay let's say you have a ten thousand dollar line of credit I get five thousand dollars you catch those chips in thousand dollar quantities or whatever then you don't pay the rent and that's three days you have to pay the marker so this is the reason that we use are if you did this and there is apparently a video of him doing it he would have to pick up a fairly sophisticated kind of scheme where he has his own card there each casino in order to cash these chips because clearly had a lot of them but why I don't understand why they made him because this was his downfall the the the chips the casino chips where where is the absolute downfall why wouldn't they just give him cash why did that make him jump through hoops where he had the cash chips and I don't understand that at all what was it with the Chinese trying to save money are you in you're saying what why wouldn't the Chinese just give him cash right laundering facility where they laundering money I don't get as I really don't have to really you know I wonder about that I mean they did give him cash when he well I don't know if they giving cash but it's alleged he had a lot of cash in different envelopes in the had the cash also in those a red envelope for Chinese characters on them as I was I was reading about it right so I'm I don't know if you if that was cast here it cashed in after catching on ships me put him in those envelopes or if you receive cash in those envelopes allegedly but the about your right the casino chip part of it just isn't odd additional specific that I don't quite a square was what was going on with him right and and look there's a lot of people dead you can screw in life and there's a lot of companies that you can fudge a little and like you say you know I borrow money then pay your rent you got thirty three days the the one area where there really so it says sophisticated and it's very hard to pull one over on is the casino cage they're very on top of where all that money is going and where it's coming from they can look at a chip or Tim is saying is so true they can look at a chip and based on the microchip in the chip they can tell you what came out of we can tell you how how many days ago you wanted yeah you know I mean it literally can tell where that ship spent and that's a that's incredible I have a credible ballsy move you thought you could pull one over on a on the cage but I guess he was doing it for a while right this wasn't yeah that was his downfall all right so this is going on all over the city and I would like to find out if it's going in your area mark crozier and I also I lose sight of angels with us and DeLeo hi and now whose Tyler but is with us I'm gonna find out this is going on in your neighborhood to but I can't sleep at night because of the fireworks it's fireworks all night log in Burbank I can't do this or do that Keith Gomez is on a newly created detail for his department the mission beating back illegal.

"Do that and who will represent council district fourteen is there a special election I know there is an election coming up in November right well what then and only did on Yuri yield its counterparts in Martinez say that but I heard her say the mayor obviously is called for called for that as well you know there are provisions in the city charter for you know that you call for the removal you know of a feel of an elected official monthly I'm not completely sure of if that specifically has been triggered you know at you know at this moment but you're very clearly in recent weeks Jose Huizar had resisted but you know calls from others to step down even though those things right now as per your question the up back in March there was the the primary election and Kevin de Leone the former speaker of the state assembly he wanted out right election to replace Jose Huizar Jose Huizar is scheduled to be turned out at the end of the year so there is the very real possibility that if counts when we start is removed early from a you know from his seat that the council members could say you know what you know Kevin de Leon has already won this job he's coming in here why not just appeal install him few months early which would probably be ultimately a good thing for the residents of the fourteenth district because ever since Jose Huizar is holding offices were raided he hasn't had any real juice within city hall so I'd say that that's probably a likely scenario yeah I know his colleagues on the council had been asking for his resignation for awhile now in the press conference John today before we wrap up the FBI asked folks to step up with information they said that investigation is ongoing wouldn't Huizar be their biggest target though I mean where where else could this go you know and that's the that that's that's a great question I mean they you know they were very very clear into you know and saying multiple times that it's an on going investigation we have seen certain other instances that you know when individuals do ultimately plead guilty to the FBI they agreed to cooperate you know in continuing investigations it's unknown here what's going to happen with councilmember Huizar he's due in court this afternoon at two PM but you know we don't we don't know where else you know where else this is going but we certainly will be watching it really closely all rights well certainly yes a tangled web that's been woven and we will keep up with it and we'll certainly get back to you John regarding who writes for Los Angeles magazine Jack Weiss former federal prosecutor and former.

"Can't drive a car with an internal combustion engine down Broadway if city leaders get their way it's Jose Huizar as parting shot as the F. B. I. drags him away what could go wrong like one of the only two way streets in downtown and let's let's take all the cars off of it you know downtown is already so easy to navigate your way around and get from point a to point B. we don't really have any traffic down there it's just open lanes as far as the eye can see why not take one of the main streets just off the map only the LA city council would think that that's logical they want to do it there it will do a Hollywood Boulevard in anywhere else that makes absolutely no sense because the LA city councils jealous that they're not in Santa Monica and don't have a third street promenade you know what I'm gonna do right now I'm gonna blame them for killing Colby if they wouldn't have screwed up the traffic in this town so bad he wouldn't have to be in that helicopter you have a point I'm serious because he used to fly up here in the helicopter back when he played for the Lakers because traffic was so bad and the city is unlivable so we had to live in Orange County you had one homeless people living on his front lawn so we had to move to a place where they take your call if you have to call the cops and he ended up in the helicopter cell I think that makes perfect sense I personally blame Jose Huizar for killing Kobe Bryant stupid policies taking cars off the road how does he expect us to get around take the new street car that's gonna be on Broadway Boulevard yeah that sounds like a can't miss the street car by the way being funded by hundreds of millions of dollars of measure and money how long do you give it before that becomes a homeless shelter looks at our streets and says you know what I wanted to be nineteen twenty again yes so let me get this straight you drive to downtown LA you park your car it one of those lots the charges an arm and a leg many of them by the way owned by the Catholic Church did you know that a lot of the parking lots in downtown are owned by the archdiocese that was one of the things that they had to sell some of them had to go when they were doing all the pay offs and they were very upset about the fact that they had to get rid of very profitable business ventures they also closed down a bunch the convents for the nuns for living makes sense but you park your car in one of those lights thank twenty dollars an hour that's right and then if you need to go down Broadway you're expected to get on the trolley that's so stupid well in this is the secret little emphasis of this entire project of Hey let's get rid of the cars they estimated that if they build they already are building the street car on Broadway with cars and the estimate because of the car traffic that street cars going to go about six miles an hour which I think is slower than walking yeah no kidding so now if they get ready cars the street car that no one's gonna use my move a little faster have you ever had to do jury duty in downtown Los Angeles luckily now do they call you to van Nuys where you go I go to van Nuys okay when I don't find a way to get out of it I'm registered to vote in riverside county so I go to India now when they call me for jury duty but I used to have to go to downtown Los Angeles and they don't I guess have ample parking for jurors at the actual court house should they make you park at Disney concert hall and then walk to the courthouse which is straight up hill when you're going back to your car you go down hill when you're going to the courthouse so every time you go to lunch every time you get let out every time you show up to court you've got a park there and you've got to do that walk and they allege that there was some form of public transportation that would take the elderly people and people in wheelchairs and people who had problems from one place to the next but I didn't see it the entire time I was there in my trial was like a week and a half nothing works in downtown Los Angeles so anything they change they're not gonna make better they're gonna make worse and my guess is they're going to make it much much worse well if you take all the cars off of a major thoroughfare in downtown what does that do to the already clogged other major thoroughfares what is the due to Spring Street it just makes it worse we live in an area that's operating on a grid that Pat brown gave us Pat brown's been dead for how many years and how long has it been since you've been governor of California this is how long it's been Ronald Reagan beat him when Ronald Reagan first decided to get into elected office that's how long ago were talking and those are still the the freeways and the roads that we drive on today what we really need is we need wider freeways and wider roads for more cars because that's how people in California get around and we stop building new freeways because of Jerry Brown that's right time around his attitude was if you don't build that they won't come the opposite of the field of dreams so we didn't want any new infrastructure because in the nineteen seventies he bought into the idea of the of the era of limits and he just assume that if we didn't build new public universities in a new water system and new freeways that people would stop coming to California what he wasn't aware of is that the weather sucks in my much of the country and people will always want to come to California and now were woefully unprepared with it with our roads with housing with everything well if I don't know if you've ever seen one of these maps that exist but you can Google it you can find actually of a book that I bought when I was an undergraduate at cal state Fullerton of the master plan for southern California and we were supposed to build like fifteen new freeways that never got bill including Los Cienega Boulevard was supposed to be a freeway Santa Monica Boulevard was supposed to be a freeway we were supposed to have more free weights all over this region they never intended on stopping building freeways now the only region that built all of their intended freeway to San Diego and you know what you can move around pretty well in San Diego that's right but in California you can block any project if you have enough lawyers so there's no way we're gonna be building anymore freeways here even though they knew with their wisdom back in the sixties that we needed them and now we would continue to grow and now the monitor is leads shorten the roads let's put more bicycles on that no one's gonna use let's emphasize the trains and buses that less than two percent of the population actually use instead of the cars which ninety eight percent users we're not talking about putting down those rail road droppers and blocking off traffic in doing signal prior authorization where even if you have a green light if a bus is coming it's gonna turn red because that's what matters can you imagine how dangerous it's going to be in the city if you put half the population on a bike we're all gonna be setting bono's in the sun that's what's gonna happen people gonna be driving in the walls are going to be get run over by buses they're gonna be running into each other it's going to be horrible everyone's the homeless people gonna steal the bikes one forty five Broadway in downtown Meigle Carless what say you eight hundred two two two K.
