"You're she'll be, let's roll just a quick little note since July fifteenth. Since the since he's taken over three, three, six ERA which I think is like fourth or some shit. And five point one, three runs per game. So. If played a pleaded overall, better. Brand of baseball. Yeah. Fair. The Mets traded Jose Batista to the Phillies not not the same story that it would have been had. It happened maybe five years ago, but this is of note because of the name. But I mean the Phillies the Phillies are fucking there. A sinking ship right now, what the fuck is going on with the Phillies. Well, this is this is a depth play. All right. So today is August twenty. Ninth. Go back to July twenty. Ninth of full month. You have twenty seven games a hundred eight plate appearances for Joey bats. He's hitting one forty four with the five forty three opiates. So yeah. All right. You're you're getting good feel like that's I feel like he could do better if you just tried harder and believed in himself. So left-handed. Yeah, maybe he's left handed. Maybe he didn't realize that. Point career, but the Phillies I don't know. I've I have been. I have tried to be a positive Philly voice on this podcast starting to see some fucking major chinks in the armor for for the Philadelphia Phillies their playoff chances. I want to say they were in the sixties maybe like a week or two ago there. Now thirty one point, six percent there. Four and a half games back the Braves, one again. Yeah. The Braves Braves, book, razor, runaway train coming. They end the Tampa Bay rays winning streak, put another game in between themselves in the Phillies. So now they're four and a half back in the division, and now the the wildcard class start to get a little bit crowded. You have the Phillies two and a half back, but the dodgers Rockies Diamondbacks in. Brewers are ahead of them. I never at any. I mean, once once the Phillies sort of got past that hiccup of of Gabe Kappler in the first month of the Susan, you have the Phillies winning the east. I mean, I had them to the LCS. Right, right. You had, yes. You had them getting ills. Yes, we have the nets for a long time. I jumped off the ship and then you shortly followed. I was on the nets. I was out on the nets, maybe like a handful of days before you. I j. j. no, that cannot be go out on the naps in April. The the situation here at the Phillies for me is fucking alarming, and here's the thing. If you're a Phillies fan listening to this, maybe you're panicking because of the way that your team has played over the last couple of weeks here. You have to sort of look at this from two different angles, angle one. You're probably massively disappointed because this team is good enough to make it to the postseason. They're just kind of fucking up here in the month of August angle too. They are early. I mean, coming into this year, I don't think many people outside of the Phillies organization. I know when they signed Jake Arrieta he did his press conference and he talked about how this team is ready to win right now. And he's going to be a big reason why any has been. But if if the Phillies just kind of were a mediocre team from April to the end of the year, I think mainly the narrative would be like, yeah, we can see the pieces. We can see the foundation, but they're not quite there yet. They were early just like the Braves have been early. It's just that the early Braves have been much better. Yeah, that's a fair point. Early Braves because. Acuna and Albee's of. I mean, they took the world by storm. Yeah, when they showed up. Right. And I mean, have since I guess cooled off if you will. AKU backup, obviously, big. Yes. Yeah, yeah. And and the phillys haven't necessarily they haven't had the resource gins who was hot early. Right? And then that's really, that's really kind of in it. I mean Williams has had a very, very good year, very solid year. Yeah, I kill Franko has been good in spurts. But I mean, I think it speaks to the larger point that the Phillies position players really and they're the people they expected to be the pillars of their team have not developed at the same rate that the Braves have..

"Back and you have Jeff McNeil Brandon back in the lineup Jose. Batista traded today to the Phillies for a player to be. Named later or? Cash let's start off on the phones with Matthew in, New, Jersey what's up Matthew Hey. What's going on What's on your, mind Pete Alonzo Mr So so the thing, is I'm not. Really I agree with the decision not to bring up a Lonzo mostly because even though he for tremendous amount of, power if you look at his numbers right now triple, eight he's also. Struggling average. Wise he strikes out a lot Yeah so if you bring them up there's, no telling what those major league pitchers do they'll probably, going down I'm. Not sure. If you figure it out And this is. Where if the spot was open you would call Lonzo a. First baseman and you'd find. Out what will the power win the day or we'll opposing pitchers pick him apart and the weaknesses that are. In his game but that's not the case I think what it comes down to is there other. Guys you need to see at first base as. Well. And there's not another position to slide Alonzo as much as they've moved this piece and that, piece this is someone who settled in. At. One position exactly and the thing, about the whole situation is also not yet ready. To give up Dominic. Smith even though he is having some struggle I looked at his minor league numbers He also struggled. In the lower minors before finally clicking and then all of a. Sudden he goes by the Tory pace Why not ready to give up on Dom Smith binder I think we. Need, to, see more him before we can make any kind of evaluation on what to do with him and had Lonzo yeah I I'd. Love to see more of Dom and I said as much for the last month I thought wants the, trade deadline passed, the Mets should have just put dominant first base. And, Flora's could play a, couple of days a week but you know really gave down the majority of those. At bats unfortunately they didn't do that and I don't think Dom really has much. To do with the decision on Lonzo I'm curious how. Much he'll even play now that they sent Jose Batista out Alonzo Dom might see most of his playing time out in left. Field in the outfield now and Jay Bruce in warmer Florez are more likely to Split first base so I don't. Think Dobbs factor in all of this I think the Mets pretty much just moved, past dumb but I don't think they found. Out for sure I don't think it's likely that he's going, to be a solid major league player but he certainly has the capability of it and while he, had an opportunity last year for two months And he could bone blaming himself for not, being improper shape at that time. You get a fair shake this, season and get. An opportunity they decided to let Adrian Gonzales be the everyday first baseman instead of. Given Dhamma shot, at the outset of the season and then Dom really, never got any regular playing time at the big league level he's on the roster for a while a few. Weeks in, July but in play a whole lot. So the way they've handled him, it's been strange I, don't think they've found, out for sure what kind of, player Dom will be but I unfortunately I think with Alonzo coming and the situation with Bruce there's. Just not a chance to find out about him at first base now and the Mets could look. To I mean they're going to have to move somebody. You would think in this position whether it be Florez, Bruce Dom Smith Alonzo something's going to have to. Happen and they're going to have to reshuffle the deck in the off season to, at least some degree I don't see how. All four of those guys could be sharing playing time and In any. Way that makes, sense let's get into Jacob degrom of course his young, candidacy is going into its final weeks here degrom eight and eight that's the knock on him I suppose the. One point, seven one ERA and our resident awards. Expert here Alain in queens chimes, in you gave it, to the Graham Allen, I support I support the Graham, for the young but if I have to be objective I would choose no so so if you. Have your meds colored glasses on you say degrom why why objectively Aaron no three Wouldn't is. A. Takes a back step to to the strikeouts walks per, nine home runs per? Nine? Fifteen, and, three, Atlantic What does that have to you've watched these days Starts this he hasn't, pets like an eight. Eight pitcher in any way shape or form you we, could talk about the Mets being a bad team but they've been an outrageously bad. Team on the nights that the ground is patched he's laws, games in ways that you can't. Even describe well he's, sometime contributed to the voices sometimes it's not perfect but how many If. It was a just world what would Jacob degrom win loss record be sixteen to three twelve. And, six something like that I'd be far better than. That he's had wins taken away from him by the bullpen look back. To some of this starts. They, he had in may he, has had misplaced defensively cost him Ron's not necessarily show up. As unearned runs the these are fly balls that have dropped that haven't been called errors and mistakes, of that nature now I'm not? Gonna get into his last time out he had a bad call against him by the home plane on fire that stuff happens to. Everybody I I'm not gonna use that but the. Run support has been a huge, factor as well you can't, just look at the. Winds and I know some people can't get over it, and say how do you select a pitcher eight and eight to be the Cy. Young award because it's the best pitcher in the league is, better than max Scherzer or Nola. And both those guys, have had phenome- Title seasons but look at the ERA, grams about half a run better fielding independent pitching which is much. More heavily weighted on strikeouts walks home runs the things, that no pitchers could truly control and he's about half a run. Better in that category as well so when, you look at the Graham season I think, it's closed and like. I say it's, a slam dunk he's the guy but the wins. And losses cannot be the reason and it's really the only reason. You come back, to with Alama's you're gonna say Scherzer's extra innings and extra strikeouts put, him over the top Degrom struck out an extra two batters per nine innings over Aaron Nola he's been far more, of a strike out guy. Then Nola and he's also. Prevented, runs at a better rate than those guys that's the job and that's not just pitching at city field he doesn't on the road at home wherever so I think it should be the front runner there but I you know this win loss record is going to be a big factor for Jacob degrom it's really the only thing that could rob him of, this, award and it's going to be tough for him the rack up the winds because the schedule that he has coming up, he pitches against the Phillies he's got the cubs tonight obviously he. Pitches at Fenway park pitches against the dodgers, as some of the best offenses in the, National League and in. Baseball are coming, up on his schedule and the Mets are not. Going to be favored out of their own doing any of those. Games just based, on the fact that the Graham is on the mound and For him to keep his ERA as low as Israel's somebody's gonna have to do he's gonna have to blow away Nola ensures her with ERA It's going to be a. Challenge for him to keep it down that. Low against some of the teams, that, he. Is facing a tough schedule going forward for Jacob degrom.

Waivers yet and, I, checked in with somebody with the, Mets there was not yet. And I said well she'd been. Put on waivers yet, and the. Answer was no. The answer is just not yet so. In other words they Waited to put him on waivers toward the end hoping that there might be, somebody desperate, enough that they could maybe make a. Deal for Batista they've found somebody that's desperate enough because the Phillies have. Put, in a claim on, Jose Batista and the Mets and Phillies are trying to work out a deal so just to refresh and we're sure that, you know. This but in case you don't. Three things can happen they work. Out a trade number. Two the Mets pull him, back and then cannot trade him at all if. They can't work out. A deal we're, number, three the Mets just let them, go mess on no where. They're going to make a deal. Through the Phillies catcher, somewhere I'll take. "H., tonight Jose Batista, will fill that, role for the New York Mets so they keep his. Bat around though it's been slumping. Of late and get to have Conforto Nimmo and Austin Jackson all in the lineup tonight and you know really a it's, been a obviously a tough. Year for the New York Mets here overall in every way shape or form no matter how you want to break it down there forty nine and sixty six overall but these are the. Moments that you hope the Mets can still provide even if it's. Not necessarily, that meaningful a game it's not about the. Postseason these are the winds that you want to have for bragging rights and it'd. Be able to, give some grief to the Yankee fans at the office or at school. Tomorrow and. The Mets they can actually break even in the season series against the Yankees the season there. Are two and three going into tonight so fun pitching match There's always, a little, extra, juice when you have the subway series involved it was very rainy. Today rained all day it hasn't, quite cleared all the way out but we're dry at the. Moment so hopefully that won't to impede. Baseball tonight between the Mets and the Yankees l we'll tell you what's hot around major league baseball including. An update on David Ryan, who played his first game action in nearly a year yesterday will drive around, the majors get, you caught up, on what's happening all around major league baseball when we. "This weekend. That's it, what you're you're happy with a split, this weekend Being, happy it's a matter of facing reality Wow. Everything is really sunshine and rainbows Holy feel bad bad. About a team that is this good the, Cashman, should have addressed it out how He got the National League MVP A little while to heat up I kept this idea that people wanna be so worried about the fact that. The Yankees are home run reliant they've won sixty seven games and there. Are thirty games over five. Hundred this is not a problem I know they haven't hit. Well with runners in scoring position we have. Talked about that all season. Long that is a genuine concern I get, that they are still a very very good offensive team and they address the. Deficiencies as best as they could I would. Argue as, best as they could I mean, unless you, thought that somehow I I mean, if you were keeping hope alive even though when, the writing was on the wall when, sandy Alderson took a step back the writing was on the wall. That degrom was not getting, traded if you didn't realize it then then I, don't know what to tell you but that was the moment in case you needed a crystallized and right in and. Remember that moment it was then so what are? You have to do. After that you gotta get creative you, gotta go, to your plan b your trading In the division for, for bullpen guy you're going out and getting have also in the. Division and you're getting Lance, Lynn I mean I don't know how your Yankee, fan you could be upset with that I mean yeah okay maybe you wanted to add a bat what bad out. There though were you really going to going to? Add that you thought. Was going to change and make the. Difference here Jose batista.

"Then we talked about friday night with jose batista hit the walk off grand slam the victories in a broader sense don't mean a whole lot for this mets team right now is they go from seventeen games under to sixteen games under five hundred but they provide moments and this team has actually provided some moments over the course of this home stand from batista's walk off grand slam on friday night to wilmer flores with another walk off on monday and tonight brandon nimmo floating around the bases after his walk off home runs at three walkup homers over the course this home stand and for nimmo i gotta be excited for this guy he is at a smile on his face pretty much throughout his tenure the only time you saw start to wash away with the last couple of weeks is he's been having a rough time at the plate after he was hit with a pitch and he has performed very well obviously the season has not gone very well but he was hilarious to watch run the bases tonight where he hit spurs base and his arms were outstretched and the smile and starting to creep over like he was stunned that he had just done this great thing the walkup home run by dhabi hits second base forget he's just giggling to himself laughing as he goes around the bases and then into the swarm of teammates at home plate and i again brandon might not be an all star he's got some great rates dad's but he wasn't a starter until early may and i get that but to me the final vote major league baseball wants to market its game and its players in the final vote is one way that they do that you get five players that fans can select you know what's happened over the years these players will campaign and had some social media videos and do some extra things to try to get fans to engage and vote and i really think major league baseball missed a huge opportunity to not have branded nimmo be a part of that and hazy saggy lara was named one the final vote today maybe i would win anyway and he deserves to be an all star bowman brandon nimmo this is kind of guy you want to put out there you want baseball fans to see the kind of moment that brandon nimmo provided tonight and it's just he is going to be a lot of fun to watch to root for i think over the next couple of years and it's great to see a someone like that who so a few sieve and can have fun yeah what do we talk about a lot like backflips how are you celebrating a moment or you showing up the pitcher and i think most of us have come around to hey it's avid some fun it's okay to express of emotion when you do something fun and so many guys are stoic and for this mike trout the best player in all major league baseball you don't see a whole lot of emotion out of him you see it from brandon nimmo he's he's like a kid out there and i i love it i find it refreshing and he's you know he's a great interview as well so yeah the media guy of course get a like that but he's he's fun man and i really think now i don't know that he's a special player for this mets team he certainly shown he can be part of the answer part of what they need to a young athletic outfielder who could play all three of those outfield positions but you know just what he provides the game is a whole or mets fans is something i mean real easy to root for an interest fun i listen to him so when brennan writes the walk off home run he initially does the television interview which they play on the loudspeakers throughout the stadium so before nemo even engaged in the tv interview he essentially hijacked it to address the crowd thank you fans you guys i know things are going the way you want but they still come in and supporting us saying that he's guy's hands arms over his head he looks like a wwe wrestler even gave a little ric flair woo there at the end.

"To the script after breaking it a night ago at that big grand slam jose batista three nothing lost to the tampa bay rays and let's blake snell i is a heck of a pitcher nine strike outs seven and a third scoreless innings for snell and he has been one of the best pitchers in baseball since mid may in the ra around one and a half he has done this to other teams as well as specially frustrating today's the mets had opportunities they were able to put some men on base in fact some stats from joel sherman of the new york post they put the leadoff man on in seven of benign antics leadoff guy on in seven of nine innings in a game that they were shut out how do you do that you go over seventeen with men on base that is mind bogglingly bad and the situational hitting for this team has been virtually non existent for not just this season and this has been an ongoing issue for the mets and maybe it's just the sabermetrics angle and baseball and guys swinging for the fences and just the way that the game has gone where you'll lose this part of it but when you got a man on at third base and less than two out you have to get that runner in at least more often than not and the mets have been awful in those situations twice today they were unable to come through kevin poole wacky struck out with wilmer flores at third base in one out in the second inning then in the eighth inning the mets at a man at third one out and jose batista pops up in the infield unable to get that run home and these are the things that just kill you know the tampa bay rays they did manage to get a run home in one of those spots when a metro sorry oh was an able to clearly feel the ground ball and matt duffy scored in the fifth inning and that was the only run of the game until the mets bullpen got involved so those are spots and the situational hitting is the difference in a lot of these games it's one of the things that last night was exceptional about the victory wasn't just jose batista hit a grand slam it was how it built up that devon mezro rocco able to fake a bont draw the infield in and get himself a key single amid rozario drops down a successful sacrifice bunt as part of the rally in the ninth inning yesterday and we just haven't seen enough of that over again multiple seasons from this mets team and today and that's where it's frustrating you're up against good pitcher you're going to have to scramble for every run that you could get stephen matches throwing you great game one run allowed in six and a third another starting pitcher deserve better than he got today as match took six loss on the year he got to find a way when there are runs out there for you get a man brandon nimmo gets caught stealing in the first inning at third base with nobody out you had to double plays that the mets hit into today but the situational hitting has been extremely problematic it's just extremely frustrating to see after a while that there's no other way to score it seems other than waiting for the home run or you know that big double in the gap and mets just haven't had enough of those to justify how they go about their offense and i know listen micky calloway's in his first year with his staff trying to impart some changes on the organization and on the team and that's gonna take a while in the mets are doing it know without some of their better hitters johanna cesspits jay bruce are on the shelf but these are things that yeah even your eight hitter should be able to get a runner in at third base in less than two out and in that exact situation the mets have gotten that run in just twice no less fourteen opportunities fourteen chances man at third less than two out and they've only gotten him home twice the last fourteen times they've had that chance according to tim britton of the athletic come on.

"Sports zone extra walk off grand slam jose batista mets weighing five one against the tampa bay rays i do have one complaints about the way tonight's game finished and we've talked about you know when jose batista is brought to the table for this mets team but something else i thought he was going to bring to the table was a little flair right where's the backflip tonight i was just watching replay replay and i can't i can't see his whole reaction because he does watch admitted buyer his home run for a while there's no doubt he knew he had it off the bat but it looks like he just kinda carrying the bat at his side for a few steps and then just dropped it just let it go no no big flip no big show of it goes all something here joey bats joey backflips right this is what he does this is supposed to be part of who he is on this mets team in overall come on give us give us the beth flip right there joey click who's going to do it producer ray it did oh he admired it has gone he didn't do it he had like the bat hanging all i can think of i can think of that home run for the playoffs he kinda pause and i even yell flip it flip it nofly nothing very disappointing the walk off grand slam is nice that was that was good but now now i'm disappointing myself the more i realize didn't flip you you've robbed us of that moment this is a guy who three hundred plus home runs is known for the backflip and this is first career walkoff homerun eight foot the bat the fifteen games under five hundred i get it that's the with the with the moment here we'll take it we'll take all right well we'll let go for manny in newark wants to talk jose batista what's up manny i always waiting for that bad foot say hey where's the bachelorette nothing happened you just and that's it he had a big bomb it with his teammates at home plate that was cool they drenched with gatorade but i wanted the backflip josie batista my team i want the backflip when he has his first career walk off homer it's interesting seeing as rocco all it took was a change in scenery and look at right now like has been productive since he got picked up a few weeks ago in missouri did the same thing to change in scenery helps both players to become more productive at the end of the day so the author so we'll just have to wait until the second half and how doing i think sometimes it helps especially sometimes it hinders yeah you see free agents that are signed and they're in a new place new environment and maybe they put too much pressure on themselves but it might not click with the team but in the case of missouri cohen batista they were with their previous organizations for long periods of time measure rocco remember i've taught my head what year he was drafted but he had to be in the reds organization for close to ten years batista was with the toronto blue jays forever and changes scenery didn't do batista a whole lot of good net lanta but here with the.

"A walk off grand slam for jose batista and the mets went on five one against the tampa bay rays we had to go through the bull panting pitching changes galore on the tampa bay rays side of things but ultimately it ends well for the mets and no decision for jacob degrom is ninth over the course of this year eight innings of one run ball but he was terrific once again and it is not easy to lower your era when it is at the level that it is for jacob degrom you basically have to give up one run or less every time in order to keep that thing moving in the right direction but jacob degrom able to lower despite despite the challenges today and his major league best era continues to shrink and you look at degrom across the national league there hasn't been a better pitcher over the course of the first half the season and that ordinarily should be enough for you to get the nod in the all star game and ultimately it'll be up to dodgers manager dave roberts will be representing the national league this year since the dodgers went to the world series has to make the decision and it will certainly come down between jacob degrom the guy who's been the best pitcher in the league over this course of time over the course of the season and max scherzer who is as good as anybody in the league is well he hasn't been as good as to ground this year but has a longer track record of course and the game is in washington dc where sherzer would be the hometown guy and unfortunately the precedent would be haven't been set by the mets years ago when you might remember the mets hosted the all star game matt harvey was having a good season great season in clayton kershaw though what was better at the time it's better pitcher at the time they matt harvey but because it was at city field matt harvey ended up earning the start that day and i think that that would probably cost the mets now and why jacob degrom likely won't go because bad harvey when the mets are at home started the all star game now in the nationals there at home you probably end up with max scherzer and that might be something that jacob degrom is it seemed to be all about the individual accomplishments and he just dismay shrug that off but i'd love to see him get the opportunity because again for the mets now it's about moments it's about little things that you can grab onto and that would be one of those things the fact that jacob degrom could start the all star game just like in twenty thirteen when the mets were very good that year and matt harvey started the all star game and that's one of the big things that sticks with you over the course of the year so i'd love to see degrom get that opportunity but i think that the precedent that the mets in some ways themselves set all those years ago probably comes back to bite them here and you'll see degrom coming in pitching that third inning or whatever it will be at the the mid summer classic but except up for imperfectly as far as his pitch excatly go wednesday four days off and go you know be able to start tuesday or at least pitch on tuesday the all star game and you'll have six full days of rest there let's grab some calls.

"The way you were afraid it would go and i talked to people last night you know insane this jay berman some of these guys around here talking about it i said yeah mets could win two out of three in this series but they probably won't and they won't because because if you match up player for player each position the yankees will probably wear them down it's not that degrom won't pitch well or mats or at that point where we're talking syndergaard it's that how many runs on the score and sure enough to grab does pitch well and they lose anyway and it's the same old song and it's frustrating and difficult and and you don't see a way out i mean yeah you see a way out on a burst in some day soon the mets will score nine runs in a game but it won't change the fact that they're not a good offensive team and this whole thing you know winding into one game after another one hundred sixty two game season they're just not very good they don't and again i use this all the time the reason i know they're not very good is because they don't have players that other teams want they didn't take todd frazier from some other team didn't break someone's heart in signing jay bruce they didn't crush some fan season when adrian gonzales ended up here and not somewhere else jose batista.

"Then drove in the only run the mets word again a little while ago a couple good city more with a sacrifice fly so the good news is jose batista drove in a run with a sacrifice fly the bad news is jose batista drove in the only run they got on a sacrifice y and cabrera with the over twenty five i think it is heading to the double play and that was it for the the offense i mean i mean what do you say other than embarrassing and again it's like the same thing all the time it's the same in the five game losing streak ten out of twelve and this is after an eleven in one start where there was some hope that there would be a season nobody was saying nobody was saying world series nobody was saying serious october baseball nobody was saying playoffs in any way shape or form you were thinking with this kind of a start a would be a competitive season not daewoo a season that has all but over i mean that's how you feel it isn't there's four months to go i don't know how they're going to turn things around i don't know if they can turn things around with home so come the trading deadline everyone's thinking they're going to trade the graham they're going to trade syndergaard then they shouldn't do that that i see mean i mean and that's how you would maybe right now quick fix get better with the there's some blue chip prospects or some players who can perform you know with major league quality but i'm but you can't trade those guys you shouldn't trade those guys you should build around them but what the mets have to go and get some players who can help the team win some games right now it's it's it's just you know it's just a rock bottom they were taking on the baltimore orioles a little while ago and baltimore has the worst record in major league baseball after nine innings between these two teams just a few hours ago who looks to be the worst team in baseball john is calling from staten island john you're on the fan in new york city what's happening rather i thank.

"Jose reyes another oh for four last night you got a big batista would be a better fit on this roster than what the mets are getting from ray even if you don't expect a whole lot from jose batista going forward so he should be a guy the mets are at least kicking the tires on here elsewhere in the division the nationals lost howie kendrick for the season ruptured his achilles yesterday got a spike cost in a drain out on the warning track there in washington real unfortunate and the nationals make an aggressive move they called up nineteen year old juan soto who has jumped from low a too high a to aa and now the majors all so far this season and when i tell you the numbers you'll understand why he's banning three sixty two with fourteen home runs and fifty two rb is in thirty nine games at those three levels combined those soto is not in the starting lineup today's the.

"Yes and the braves are already leading the reds were nothing in the first inning right guess it's the top of the second now so kunia is in the majors and it's kind of funny how position player centric the braves are now not that they don't still have talented young pitchers but we've been saying for well and it's been looking for well like this whole braves repealed was built around pitching to a greater degree than say the cubs or the astros and it certainly seemed that that was what they were doing the this history of kind of putting an emphasis on pitching organizationally speaking and seem to think they have a strength for developing pitchers the front office turned over considerably even since they started this rebuild but now they have a kuna who's the youngest player in the majors they have the obvious who i guess is now the second youngest player in the majors they've be swanson who's spending back they have you on camargo they have all these good young position players in addition to some talented pitchers so i don't know that it turned out to be the pitching centric rebuild that it would it would be often hear johann camargo throwning players but yet never shout out the him who is the player who lost his third base job to i ryan flaherty analogous jose batista coming soon but i mean credited camargo is twenty four years old and he's been in above average major league hitters knows what's happening there but yeah how is is up this is incidentally he has i batted ball one hundred one miles per hour and they launch angle of thirty nine degrees just missed a home run i wasn't watching it live but that's a good contact against brandon finnegan into red as we've talked about maybe that's league average contact in any case i agree with you it's it's been a funny thing to observe that for a while it was sort of like the the astros and cubs rebuilds pitted against the the mets and the braves sort of also.

"The trade in my mind the red sox winning courtesy of a couple things have the deny to help out the red sox the beginning i thought rick poor selo in the fourth loaded the bases one out give back to back the back singles after striking out the artist formerly notice jose batista who was a shell of himself right now he is at the end of the line on several play next year but you watch him swing the bat a couple of years ago is one of the most feared hitters if not in in baseball certainly the american league in now he cannot catch up to anything at all there at the plate but then back to back to back singles bases loaded darwin barney to play one onenothing game rocket line drive wracked back the report selo snags it makes the play so bases loaded two down for the light hitting utility guy that a of the home one two earlier he gets in backup of bases loaded this time he strikes him out and gets out the beginning bases loaded one out and it gets himself out of the adding that was a huge pot poor poor selo because right after that ham the ramirez solo home run the fifth were tied at one and there is a really done all year for as much as a guide guys like me and i've been there bitch again moaning about different things with this red sox team amidst their first place serb stature in the a at least they do score runs late they do score runs leading close coming into tonight i believe that outscored their opponents in the seventh eighth and ninth innings by seventy runs this year they did not do that a year ago did not do that two years ago so much better team now.
