"I've been anti cameras in the studio since they started talking about cameras in the studio just because I enjoy the medium of radio to paint pictures. Plus, we live in, You know, Let's be honest. I'm a sensitive, insecure pussy of people say things about my appearance. It destroys me, so I had to stop going to the chat room. Oh, no. Who? So when I watch our videos on the weekend, which I watched our me getting D's knotted video, probably 10 times. And now it's up to about 10,000 views of a collar. Just Annihilating me with a a standard, not sub standard. Not even great. A standard set up. And John just In vain trying to reach out and ward it off and me looking at him in slow mo going, warriors Jorn reach here, Ondo. What? It's funny, too, because that happened at the near the very end of the show. So to give a peek behind the curtain when we put the stuff up up in the app and other things like sometimes, especially near the end of the show, I'll be like pulling double duty over here and I was you can see that I'm Entranced and whatever I'm working on over here, and I think I was uploading the clip of the day and then it was like I just heard it And it was. It really was in slow motion the whole way because you see my eyes come up first. And then my hand just reaches out ever so slowly to try and warn you of the impending doom. That's about to rain down on you. And it was just not It wasn't quick enough. And for that I apologize. And then I think it gets taken to the next level. Would Mike cackles as only my cooking jackal? Yeah, and I was destroyed. I was just destroyed. So watch the video on our Facebook page. If you want 10,000 other people have so why don't you John's joints by the way, breaking news? I'm only giving this because this is huge relief for me as a parent. My son wanted to do the learning for a senior year. I don't make judgments on parents who send their kids to school because every parent has their own concerns and their own situation, And it's not for me as a parent to judge you as a fellow parent, unless you spank your kids, in which case you're a scumbag loser, parent. But my son decided he wanted to be learning for a senior year, and he's been doing he learning for the first half of the year. Hillsborough County School sent out a questionnaire that asks what your preference was. When it came to continuing They? There's no guarantee that there was going to be remote learning for the second half of the year. There is a very good likelihood, John that, as of Monday, they could have made all the kids return to in school. Learning with the covert number's still in the seven thousands. That's crazy. So they finally Fox 13 are media partner broke news. Florida students will be able to continue to learn remotely through the second half of the school year as the state grapples with the cove in 19 pandemic. Huge relief for me hugely for my son and boy. Oh, boy, is that great news? John reads news stories. I play lullaby versions of popular songs underneath them. You can get them if you want to. Yeah because most of the time it gets less and less the most user Larry Curious Second Question What do you think of twenty pounds? But I think I think that'd be crazy every time they call it so many supposed to the stadium. I think they also very in the all of the crazier difficulty in game days. Talk through saying you really feel that it gives the team a boost after we played a very game because he plays Games remake round in the stadium. Still like Same for us and supporting us and I think we deserve. We don't deserve it but they still do it. So that's so for shorter crazy but good. Fats it's good to play like in front of them. Ya Yeah of course of course When you play Games. Because they also whistle Reminding do you play with and you do too. Good Action Squad. They support your so much as incredible boosted. Good Nice next question. What did you think of your former club? Lairs please give me the chance to start as a professional and I really appreciate it. A lot of things happen happens. They went bankrupt after another salted over again in a vision so I really don't take back to DIS efficient. But you know a they need to have the financials right good players a vision for domestic too big before Bingo leg so they can be stable. I think that's important for also for the players play in a stable and Yeah it's only played. Their one view was one and a half year. Nice one more question here. It says if you weren't football player while would you be what other sport her career would you choose choose? I would like to be a singer. Yeah what type of singer I think like you. Say the yeah. I think I think that life is crazy. Amazing to travel the world. You only go to fencing. You're only to people like you and your three and applauding for you. So maybe I hope to to be a singer but if I choose from another sport that I don't like to swim so the baby can spits. Think it's fun to play the running at school. I was very fast so attractive to be Golden. Doing several does something. Maybe A by. You never know you can be a singer still after you play. Yeah the change. Oh like think I like high for example like taking shooting in all different ways so gentle that some of this question specific gas or something. And then what do you think are some good ways to practice the side wally? How do you get a better technique? I think the only right answer is breakfast every day every time. Do it the Oracle quotable. You won't be coverted. Yes everything everything again and again and again finally finally player or or a guy that just different posts. I just do it under studios. Signed a guy with something. That's all goal or a big goal or just ain't Gusau thing baby. I agree to fill yourself from different positions. Or let's some film you an optimist. You'll receive vigil like how your legs. How is that told the ball speed you know as you see from other key present You see through the maybe you gotta go back to your like your your thoughts about how after do it? How high APPS Detroit already to use as directed Any everyday my soul. You erected out later will answer some fans. Let's see Algebra's nice last question and then we'll answer fans how do you? How do you prepare before the match? Perfect perfect yeah. I think is a very important before the game. Grisly Of course could always almost guys before the game for four hours before the game and then I do eat the chicken arrests with the Gupta vegetables. This very easy on very simple but for me. It's good that gives me Addity they'll download the game. I play of course because I'm GONNA play but also in training. Yeah Preparation Nice all right. Let's answer fence. Let's see I one. "Supporters. You see you know the other team and their supporters that you just you just have to smile because it's a blessing to be able to do this. You know so. I think once you realized how fortunate you are situation that nerves kind of go away but Yeah they're always going to be there. I think Is because you put some pressure yourself to perform. Well THAT'S A. That's a nervous feeling knowing that you don't want to fail in the sense right so say her kids. It's just you know embraced the nerve set as quickly as possible. Try to get yourself excited smile and ready to go. Pump yourself up because there's always going to be. They just got to know how to do with them and US up to your Greenwich get end several. How do you prepare for a match yourself? I would say I have a routine so match day. I'll be caught not too early but I'll be enough to have A. I would say breakfast. A light breakfast may be some eggs toast Avocado maybe you know just to get the the fruits and vegetables in there and that pejorative today is just relaxing. And I think it's really getting your mind off of everything else in the world so that you could fully focus on what you need to do. When it comes to time I had started to go on like little walks to the grocery store. My mom was here for a couple of weeks for to name. So we'll just go on a couple of walks so that I can get my legs movie then I would come back and I've changed my routine our. It's likely I will take my hot bath to Kinda like relax myself. Then I'll eat. I'll head to the stadium and usually I eat out to pasta no tomato sauce. Nothing just pasta olive oil Sees pads some flavor Probably have a cup of tea to like. Settle my stomach then. Once I get to the stadium I'll go through my routine hydrotherapy. I'll get like in the hot tub then Cold Tub. Hot Tub coach Tom for about three cycles. Two minutes in the hot one minute. Nicole just KINDA ACT TO BE MY BODY. Got My senses going. Get some treatment and then by that you know you're getting into your your reactivation stuff that you're you want to almost time it so that once you're done like it's like the team talk and then you get out and you're ready to trade so are not cheap but warm up before the game but yeah my routine. I think it's something that you have to tweak over time you know it's not like you're gonNA find it you're I get. You scored three goals bachelor routine inside as your body. Grows as competition grows and everything have to be able to have some minor adjustments but yeah. That's my nice. I two more questions was becoming a pro. Just like your dream as a kid. You know what I think about dreaming. It's you know I don't think anyone ever too small. So you know my dreams of becoming a pro. I don't think I have achieved the dream. I had my head yet because when I'm dreaming up as a young kid to playing at Old Trafford in front of fifty thousand people and my goal like US growing much goal. Like that's what you're dreaming of like you know playing up to Burnham bail or something like that so obscene no disrespect to last Elliot C But might dream is still needing to be achieved. I have reached a level in my dream but I believe that if go about a direct way that the next step will get into like the next step for me will get me to my final tree. Love playing in the world's top and playing two Thais level Europe and playing in front of sixty seventy thousand people so to answer your question. Yes Sir it has fulfilled part of my dream of becoming a pro right now. I think that obviously by said you wake up every day and you understand how grateful bless yards to be able to go out and play soccer everyday and think sometimes you have to sit back and so it it wants to get on the field and you've been our stadium awfully for you now. It's crazy to think that I have so much. Praise for what. Elliot's he's been able to do that if I do the right job and do the right thing. Then I'll get to the high slot I won't even be by fulfillment I think that's just me not trying to be complacent or anything but it. I have felt a sense of achievement getting too. I am today amazing. I'm sure you'll keep moving up the plant threat lot so you can. I also thank you all right last one and then we'll answer some fence. The family goal. You scored a memorable goal. Chris after like when I was in college at scored way more goals. Now it's not. It's not the same but I would think my most memorable goal would be my goal. My first goal this season last year. Portland It was first goal back from break. My ankle you know being out for six months I think if people can assert beckel up online and see the reaction I had scored. They would understand how much fight and pain. I had to go through to to get to that point and you know I had such a good support group in mice like my staff. My teammates. You know family members France who were just trying to lift me up through the tough times but getting that goal way did all resolve circumstance on in my life at that point was just amazing and I I. I see the joy on my face and I'm like running after scoring and I'm like that's something I wanted. She all the time like that. That sense of bliss happened as was amazing. So deathly my most memorable goal would be the goal yet Portland last year second amazing. I'm going to youtube after all right. Let's answer some fans Stewart. First question for Mike he says. What's your favorite football shoes? You play with so- Hundred Cheetahs Athlete So I've been wearing adidas for the last part of a long time but I would say my favorite boot right. Now is the COPA I just love the latter. The feel of the boot It just hugs to your feet and I do like the predators but ideas has gone away from making other predators. And I'm a big guy on mother so right now like the copays aren't my shoot. That's I tried to switch to predators couldn't do it so Kopa Nice next question from Miriam she says. How do you recover after a game? That's a really good question. I think All players have different ways of doing it. By nowadays with technology science we have so many. Different recovery modalities I've got a ton of my house but for me. I think a big thing after recovery is definitely getting a good meal. It's sometimes hard when you're tired and stuff but either with a shade or or some sort thing you can take down easily with has a lot of protein and carbs in as important at that from the recovery standpoint of Modalities I liked to have no respect boots. I like to get in the boots and for about forty five minutes. Flush out all that lactic acid and get the blood re- going in your legs and then for me. Because I had broken. My ankle of big thing added moves. The Game. Ready which is icing. So how can the game ready and ice? My my ankle. The next day is very important to kind of stay Volvo because your body is in shop from all of the the X strenuous force you had to create during a game so the next day support you know. Get out get nice. Walk maybe go on a bike and just so that your body just go from zero to hundred and the Baptism WanNa kinda gradually move down so that the next day training your Congratu of it up so I think the big thing is is finding what works for you But for me. It's the Norm Attacks Game. Ready Awesome Tumour. This one's from Peres. He says what he missed the most from Toronto. I think the things I most things I missed most tron are definitely my friends and family. You know that's one of the sacrifices that I want. I kind of liked touched on that. You're going to have to sacrifice being with friends and family in order to fulfill your dream of being a professional.

GonNa expect big things for the. That's that's too right. They allowed today. So yeah I really well. I am very pleased with them beyond those every every week. Nice all right last one from Jack He says. What's your favorite goalkeeping exercise? Goaty wars was. And how do you play those? So no one can observe. Listen go what about favorite to talk about joy. That's definitely one of my favorite and that's like when two goals alike twenty twenty yards each other just started a scored show that you know it gets very competitive events. That's definitely my favorite for joy is good and several while. Thanks for talking. It's good to see you again. And Yeah you to enjoy the time at home and you'll be back on the pitch soon. Cutting thanks for all will stay in touch and talks. Thanks take care today. We have your host Mo Ali Interviewing Mark Anthony k out of L. A. FC enjoy some mark. Good good good to see you know you to keep him back in Toronto hometown. Call thousand today sunny but normally every day it's called you know I do miss charnel. Don't miss the cold weather so yeah yeah it's it's it's nice obviously but it is kind of cool. I know it's tough to say that when you're in Toronto right now but the temperatures a little bit colder usual but the sun's out so it makes makes you a lot nicer nice man. Thanks for joining us. Pro-talk is something new. We're just GonNa talk answer questions for the fans and we'll just get into it. It's a good idea for sure bro. Just tell the fans a bit about yourself how you started on your journey. What teams played for Yeah so for those who don't Mark McKay born and raised from Toronto Ontario Canada Actually use to play. Soccer gets home in college but Yeah no I grew up in Toronto and the Toronto soccer. She must really big I think when. Tse cave-in fall even grew even bigger. Yeah I bounced around from T to t my grandma plate majority of my youth soccer with Club in Scarborough Wexford. You know they kind of got me moving in the right direction. And then I jumped into a club called Ajax which was with like a lot of big players like Jay Chapman. No Mark Morris. There's huge players was obviously very grateful to be able to have off to play with that lasted about two years. And then I've moved to Glen Shields for here which was really good at you. Know made me realize how passionate about the game It's crazy how when you play at a young age you start to realize that some people play just to played how fun and then some people playing to really make the next level and then once you realize that you need to put yourself in an environment where you can surround yourself with people like minded goals so Ended Up York for two years and after my first year I went to I think that's when I start to realize I think I have a real opportunity to become a pro. And they kind of opened my eyes to see what it what it takes to become a pro at high level. Kazaa was very well and they had some good guys come in you. Look at like Jermaine. Defoe and Michael Bradley Josie outsor- Bunch guys that good careers Europe. Come over there US Yup. Today's we get to witness it every day so Yeah I was definitely very for my time. A tube see. We DIDN'T END UP PAS meeting the same goal where I wanted to sign for the first team in. They didn't want to sign me so I left and I went to yourself for two years. I think like most people know the. Us sales very toughly There's people really battling out to you know. Make a name problem cells in every. That doesn't get that much recognition. So a radius tough but luckily for me I wanted to target situation with Louisville ad. Yeah from the coaching was great. A player game we ended up winning some championships that I got bought by L. AFC in that whole asset. I think offer my journey. It wasn't easiest but I think it's made me appreciate really. How far gone too? Far At autopsy motivates me to go further. So that's a little bit of my background story where I came from how I got to our today. Amazing row thing. That's an amazing journey. A lot of kids can learn from. At what age. Do you think that you knew you want it to be a professional? It was pro like I feel like it. Switches every time. Someone asked me the question. 'cause I look back. Can I find a different memory but I think probably I would say around when I was in grade six. I realized a lot of the kids at my school. They played hockey and they all talked about going to them each. Oh I think it kind of put something on me to be like maybe I should be trying to make it have soccer rather than to play to play these guys have dreams of make your NHL. I should have dreams of making it to the primary and I think once I was surrounded by other athletes who were trying to make it at the top of their level. I start to realize that that was something I want to and that started to change the way I went about practicing games at just whenever have opportunity to kick a ball and I thank God all once? I got to see being so close to that. The decision was already made. But that also solidified at that. Yeah this is what I'm GONNA do. I need to do everything possible to become a pro amazing bro. Good answer What advice the UP FOR KIDS? Who Want to be a professional say? They're from Canada. Also where you came from. It's amazing you know. Canada Nano like England Spain but going pro from there is lying zero percent. You know what kids The advice I give. Is You know once you figure you really passionate about it. Just you know stick with it. I think that There's a lot of distractions in the world. Whether it'd be school friends were you know Social Activities? I think once you really decide you WANNA do something. Good whatever it is like you have to make sure you put one hundred percent effort at all the time and I think that You know the kids in Canada. How a better setup system that we did when we were younger so I think they have more resources at their disposal by the ones who make it are the ones who are passionate and the ones that really will do anything to get ahead of the competition so just never think that it's become too easy Things might come easy. But you have to understand that if you're really pushing hard that you got a joy the battle of not getting what you want all the time and I think that kids in Canada have our good amount of young. I look up to now like Davies Johnson David. Geiss her in top. League's doing it and I think it's also easier to motivate yourself when you've seen someone come out the same similar position as you so I'm excited to see. Canada has the the next decade with all these young kids at hopefully by the time we got that World Cup. The motivation is even higher. So I would say I think the biggest thing is passion also and then when you were young. Did you play a lot of other sports or I think so? I did a lot of cross country and track I think that's like very coincided with soccer. The aerobic fitness of it. I did play a lot of basketball basketball easy sports. Pick up with your friends. Who BUT COUPLE GUYS? You could play throughout three I've never really gotten into hockey. Now that I look back I wish I had put more effort into it because it is a fun sport. I grew up with a lot of kids to you. Know Love that Sport and actually one of my friends from school is now. He's been playing. Nhl For the last five years which is really cool. So if I could change anything that would probably be to incorporate myself a little bit more to participate but overall I would say basketball cross country and track for the main sports that I played other than soccer nice. If you win a football player what do you think you'd be a good question? It's a question. I used to get a lot when I was younger. I tried to make the decision to stick with soccer. You know especially when I was in school. I think now I would probably you know I always said I wanted to be a lawyer and I think that Now that I'm a little bit more mature I see what goes into it. I don't know high would have stuck it out throughout the whole journey so I would say something. Like maybe like a real estate agent or something to Sportsman's man. I think it's really cool to be able to manage. Not Man you know. I look at like Archie. I'm like John Thornton like his job. Unbelievable he does a very good job. I think that's something. That intrigues me. Side say either. I would stay in the sports industry.

That's the Orion that that guy was talking about now that may sound a little bit dated not completely but a little bit that call was made in two thousand six. So that holds up. Well, really well. But if that sounds pretty good right now, you can imagine how that sounded back in six, and there are some things that were allowed then it would not be allowed right now. But I will allow him playing spin the bottle with the sheep that's the type of call like that guy's never want to smack off. That's the type of call that gets you into a smack off. That's the kind of game and quality. We're talking about. But even Orrin has never won the smack off. "Whether or not you are facing it or you are dealing with it in your own self. We're gonna continue with a few more of the challenging transitions that you might be facing a right in this moment. So episode fifty nine transition the impact of losing Jorn position while and that brings up so much because when we lose a position we feel like we're losing part of ourselves. And that's why it becomes so personal. And we get very intense about it. Whether it's job or whether it's relationship or whether oh, the so many things that we're going to just address here today on this. But it's not losing. You you remain. That's what I hope we get out of this podcast. Today's to know you remain a position has gone. Changed or morphed, but you remain, and the reason this is so hard is because we tire selves, we entwine ourselves with our position with the person that we're with with our jobs with whatever you're doing. We become part of that we become emeged and really tangled up in there. So when that ends, and especially if it's an unexpected job loss or a change like that. We are like well who am am. I what's going on. Because I've identified as such for so long as faith pointed out, we still are who we are. But we forget that in that moment. So we are here today to kind of unpack some of that I do wanna share that this is real and all of us feel this. So, you know, about six years ago, I made a big transition from what I've been doing for a very long time. And when I stopped broadcasting live, I remember being on a plane, and my husband, and I were landing in a foreign country where I had to list, my profession, and it was the first time in. Thirty plus years that I didn't write down broadcast journalist because I wasn't anymore. I suppose you can lie at that. Who would know? But I knew myself that's not what I was doing. And I was literally having another hot flash on top of a hot flash on the plane trying to decide what I was going to write down. I was caring for my parents. I was writing I was what am I gonna put as my profession? I felt that that was so important to do. And I realized in that moment how much I had tied being who I was and could I separate now. I would love to tell you that in thirty seconds. I made a decision to call myself a writer or a freelancer or whatever I did. And it was okay. But it has taken me the last few years to really let go of the tethers that this profession and any profession, by the way had on me as a hold and how much I wanted identify as such. So I would go to a party and someone who say, well, what do you do? I would like be line for someplace else. I didn't want to explain again. What was going on? This is how you feel when you were removed from something even if it's by choice. So it's not always unexpected. But something happens where you transition out of something that has given you such identity for years. Oh that is. So so true. I had the same experience very similar when I lost my own business after twenty two years of being in it, and I had several businesses all through those years. But my main Corwin was I was in the fireworks industry, and when I had to go to war so to speak with a secretary of state here in my state over it. She was trying to eliminate the actual fireworks industry. And so I went to war with that. And I lost. And so all wants here something I had been so involved in for so long and had been so successful at was in a matter of six months gone. I remember the very last day, I left the..

"You're gonna start your second set with a Joni Mitchell cover, and that is because you are involved in what looks to be an amazing night of music. Yes. This is Joni Mitchell's seventy fifth birthday celebration, and this lineup Emmylou Harris Glen Hansard, Norah Jones, Chaka Khan. Brandi carlile. I could go on and you're playing as well. Wow. Yeah. No, Johnny is. I would say by this point. She's a dear friend of of of especially my husband Jorn, vice protas put this show together at the music center at the Dorothy, Chandler pavilion. It's really his doing and. Yeah, no, we are, you know, she certainly as an artist as a as a as a as a figure as a, you know, an iconic person Johnny is is. Second to none. But but certainly now after what she experienced medically with with her her accident a few years ago in her her, real recovery miraculous recovery from that is. "And my wife was getting there can be issues with memory confusion. We can have issues with our skin where it's dry and cracking or we can get issues with overall digestive issues because remember niacin is important when it comes to digestion, so the signs and symptoms can be. Rather nonspecific, and you might just no, numbness and tingling in your hands. And really what is happening. Why is this occurring in there, you go to ten different doctors, and they can't figure it out, but it comes down to vitamin b deficiency. So although the signs are are nonspecific. They can definitely be debilitating signs. You can have issues with hearing you can have tentatives or ringing in the ears. You could have issues with your eyes sites. There are many different symptoms. So another really important reason. Just starting this all Tempe complex might be a way to not only identify those symptoms, but prevent them from occurring. And what makes the rescue ultimate beat complex different from other brands? I mean, we always know potency impurities of the we talk about here. And again, a lot of these vitamins. We've heard that you know, they've just passed right through the system, you take them, and you urinate. I'm right out. They don't absorb quickly. What is different about the ultimate B complex from rescue? Yeah. You're absolutely right. Sean. You know, I always say Americans have the most expensive Jorn because you know, we take a lot of these things and a lot of them are these mega mega things that our bodies can't handle. And we ended up excreting them. You know, we get that radioactive looking urine. And that's really just our bodies saying. Well, I can't handle that. So a lot of these things we're talking about with with when it comes to the rescue is it's the right amounts. And as you said powerful power potency impurity, you really know what you're getting. I feel very very confident telling my patients. That you know, these products are safe effective, and you are getting what's your what's your paying for?.

"You know, like the GI Joe sequel, he did the best moment. Air vaccine of that sequel is a snake eyes fight scene, and I feel like that's the the sequence that Jon CHU was allowed to do, you know, be John CHU and in, you know, knife see me to the whole heist breakout scene where the using Carter strain stuff. It's like, you know, the the most stylistic in John q. gets in this film. I feel like actually get gives him a chance to do that for whole movie in so enjoyable. I, I'm, I'm very happy that romantic comedies. Are you know making a comeback? I in. Just so much fun. I love. Love like the food porn shots. It makes me want to go visit China and. Yeah, I if I had any complaint about this movie, I would say that I think the first half of the movie kind of wax a intactness te or so. It kind of is like very much just like, oh, everything's going great, but second-half definitely makes up for that. But I'm sure if you're interested in seeing crazy rich agents, you probably saw it over the weekend. And the other thing I've been watching is better call Saul, which is now on AMC. It's as great as ever is. I just wanted to to say how great what's your name? The place, Kim Wexler maybe Christie, you know, her name. Scaping me, reassess, reassess Jorn. Yes, she's a phenomenal. I think she's actually the best part of that show. Yeah. Yeah. She's just so great met show that show is just like the best thing that is on television right now. If you asked me and if you aren't watching it, if you gave up in the first season, you know, go back, watch better, call Saul catch up because you were truly made missing great television, Jacob. What have you been watching. I went to theater in top with black klansman over the weekend. And I came to an interesting place because as magic interests, last film I had edited if you spoil their field articles about this movie before I got to see it. And so I went into this movie with two articles in mind, one by Candice, Federick and one by trae man gum to our freelancers, both who had very different opinions about both. We're poaching the film as black Americans and both had very divergent opinions on who was four and how presented itself. And so I went in really prepared to be torn bomb in in both directions by end up loving it. He loves a a, a tough wardrobe movie that is kind of as unforgiving as this one is. And people talked about this before already. So I don't want to dwell on black klansman too much, but to say, I thought it was excellent. I saw ten thirty in the morning and the people around me what it's like shell shocked in crying..
