"And go overnight from deep and probably still had a really good game. Like if you take the shooting out, Steph did everything else. I thought he looked a little tired, to be honest. I thought he looked a little bit worn out. Which to be expected? There. But he did, I also thought they needed to play him some big minutes here, especially when things got close in the second half. I went, oh, like even not shooting well. You might not be able to take stuff off the court. Fortunately, Klay Thompson hit a few threes, Andrew Wiggins did some things, and that ultimately sustained the worries. By the way, Gary Payton the second soon to be free agent 15 points three steals 5 boards. He was huge for that particular he can only play defense little Trevor. He's only valuable on that end. He can't do anything else. The warriors did pass him open a few times, but I thought he still did some good things out there for them. And he made some smart cuts, which I love to see. And then Jordan Poole, three of 6 from deep, including a big three at the buzzer at the end of the third quarter, which wound up being huge in order to kind of switch that momentum that was going firmly in the direction of the Celtics at the end of the third. So big win for the warriors and hopefully, hopefully, that this will save us from that Dirk. Multiverse. Whatever version of earth that is, where the Celtics of 18 championships. Let's get into some super chats here, especially since we need to talk Lakers. Jack's Bentley said, why is LeBron not letting the Lakers know his move? So there was a story from Eric pink as a bleacher report that came out today. And he kind of just reiterated what we already mostly knew that this was just backed up by rumors that he heard from around.

"When draymond green stat line doesn't live up to his bullying on the court and you can just laugh it off, that's when the frustration sets in him the entire team and they're starting to have rabbit ears about the potty mouth language of The Crown. And I'm genuinely concerned. Because Jordan Poole that 30 point Jordan Poole burst off the bench other than just some major while three point splash at a buzzer in game two, he just had ten points and they're not getting anything off the bench. And they're not getting much from draymond green and that might be all she wrote and guess what? They didn't get 15 to 23 shooting from three from Horford white and brown last night. And they still got whipped. So the Celtics are proving they can beat you in another way than just a three point barrage to come back in a fourth quarter in game one of this series. Yeah, they actually the warriors made two more threes in Boston did last night. It was 1513. So, you can't just look at the stat sheet and go, yeah, well, they're not going to do that again. And we'll win. They didn't do it again in game three. And you lost by double digits. After coming back in the third quarter and making it a game, the Celtics are like screw you. See you later. I'm concerned about the warriors there. Let's talk now about what the Celtics are doing right. They're a better team. They play better with team basketball right now. They're deeper. They're deeper, they're younger. Can I say they're hungry? It sure looks it. Seems like it. Brian windhorst came on the program yesterday from the worldwide leader in sports and says, we're talking about this technical foul nonsense and whether draymond green should have been ejected or not. He goes, just one thing we should be talking about. If the Celtics are going to turn the ball over like crazy, if they're going to turn it over like crazy, they're going to lose. And he gave us the under over line of 15 turnovers to Celtics at 12 last night. And there was a time. And so remember I asked him yesterday, Chris, about and TJ and the rest of our crew, I asked win horse, I'm like, so what do you do? The Celtics, you know this too, right? The coaching staff knows this. Brad Stevens knows this. You don't know it. What do you do? How do you handle stopping all the turnovers? Well, here's one way to do it. Put up the tweet. This is from a guy who's been covering the Celtics since 1980 5s Steve bullpen. He said, you don't, after the team committed some bad turnovers, entered the huddle of a timeout and said simply, will you guys stop playing like a holes? Sometimes it's that simple, right? This guy is awesome. What's the secret sauce of coaching? Just go. Plain.

"As the secondary guy, and then you look at the warriors and you go, oh, man, clay could clay could go for 35 tonight. And there's this guy named Jordan Poole who can come in and he can drop 30 on any given night. I just think there's too many options there to try to shut down even for a good Mavs defense and ultimately that's going to carry the warriors all the way through to the finals. Again, though, I think this is going to be another battle. I think that the Mavs are better than people are giving them credit for, and we're going to wind up with a close series. That's what I'm hoping for. I don't want to see a bunch of blood blowouts again. Absolutely. But I do think the warriors wind up wind up taking this. Yep, completely agree. Yeah, I think, you know, I think we're in for two hard fought competitive, hopefully very entertaining Conference Finals here. We're down to you know what I do. I start counting games or down to 21 games left in the season for a maximum I want as many of them as we can get. Speaking of which, we will be on playback tomorrow night to do game one. Of Mavs versus warriors. So make sure you use the link in the description down below and you come join us over there on playback. We'll be doing the live play by play. We'll be talking basketball with you guys. It's gonna be a lot of fun. So come join us over there. Again, I'm gonna put the link in the description over on YouTube. So come join us for that Keith. I can't wait. I know you're excited for the draft lottery tonight and Celtics versus heat, which are gonna be great, but yeah, I'm excited to get to do more play by play with you. Yeah, no, man. We had so much fun. It's just a blast. So yeah, I'm super excited for that too. All right. Well, I think that wraps things up for today. Covered a lot of stuff when in depth into a lot of things. Hopefully everybody enjoys Miami versus Boston tonight. Maybe you'll join me and just kind of not paying attention, putting my fingers in my ears and saying, during the draft lottery, I'm going to try to bury my head in the sand during that moment. But other than that, I'm looking forward to a fun night in the NBA. Make sure you do subscribe right here to the NBA front office YouTube channel. "Like I'm just a guy asking questions. So I mean, as we've seen with Kevin Durant, once you leave Steph Curry, things aren't so sweet anymore. I'm trying to like this dude is not old? No. In all seriousness, they found another clay at the worst. Like not defensively, sure, but I mean, he hit that like pull up deep three yesterday, like Memphis is going to run, he just walks it up, pull up deep three from the right. He had 6 points in like 13 seconds. Yeah. He's terrifying. He's a problem. They have to figure out how it's going to work because they are running into an issue where too many of their good players are like guards, like Steph, you mentioned Steph claypool and she could be too. That's going to be tough against certain teams, but I don't want to start thinking about the top 100 because I'm going to drive me literally crazy. Like I'm not going to be I'm not going to show up to the sun's game tonight and I'm going to be like, I was trying to figure out where to rank Jordan Poole. Jordan Poole's true shooting in the playoffs right now in a 199 minutes is 72.1%. I'm willing to say he's a top 40 guy. I'm willing to say he's a top 40 guy. He's 22 years old. For projecting forward for what he can do next season off of the playoff run that he's on right now. I know there was some clunkers in the nugget series, but he also is playing with two of, I mean, gravity doesn't begin to explain what Stefan clay have. Correct, absolutely. And you see it when they're interacting directly. When it'll set like a ghost screen and the defense will just melt into a puddle. But I mean, the production is the production, the shot making is the shot making. The shop hit one three where she got slapped in the head yesterday. From 30 feet, his handle, you say he's like clay. He's closer to Steph. He's like a mix. Yeah. He's like, he's got handle independent shot creation. He's obviously faster than clay ever was. I mean, it's two point percentages through the roof. He finishes. He's a very special. He gets some sick layups. Yeah, his finishing. Yeah, yeah, man. That is, that's crazy. Top 15 players. Remember what everyone was like in the finals. When the warrior, it was like, oh, should the warriors trade for Damien Lillard like how is that going to work? This isn't that because it's not like pool is like a high pick and roll player, but it's pretty crazy to see them add a shooter of his caliber to what they had there. It's nuts..

"Toward the end of the first round, a lot of people thought, all right, you know what? You take a flyer in this guy, maybe he'll be a guy who comes off the bench, makes him threes for the second unit. Now again, he's been fortunate to some degree because clay was hurt that he got an opportunity and it's all about that, right? It's all about those opportunities. He got it and he took advantage of it and now I'll tell you what, you look at maxi, you look at Jordan Poole and then we're gonna go on to the next guy, probably in a few minutes, Jalen Brunson. I mean, those are three dudes that you just didn't see coming. And they're all different. They all do different things, but Jordan Poole has given Golden State another dimension. The only thing I think there's still missing is a big athletic shot block and dude. And that guy's name is James wiseman, and he just hasn't been healthy. No, no, it's Kevin fulls not the answer there. I kept in duly. 28, you're right. He was 28th. The first round 28th pick. Now, my question, you know, when clay, you know, he was there without clay and he flourished and with question was when clay goes back and he has to sit down and have a minute to do some of that. Will he adapt and apparently, you know, he has now and then he got a chance to come out in the plans to start again. He's going to have to go back to that role, maybe in the next game. This isn't going to forget about this death squad thing. Steph is not coming off the bench anymore. Now, do you remember this though? We had to look controversy when I think it was 82 83. When Larry got hit by Harvey's catchings and he and he had to wear the mask and he came off the bench on his way back and it seemed to be working and Fitch kept it going longer than most fans thought was appropriate. And I react to that. Yeah, that was cool. It was pretty cool. And to my knowledge, maybe behind cultures. You like Fitch. Larry liked it. When no one else did as we well know..

"He doesn't come back. Golden State will not win a title if clay does not come back. I don't care what their record is. They're not going to be Brooklyn. They're not going to be Phoenix. If they don't have to play Thompson. Okay. 'cause 'cause I'm telling clay puts them over the top and you know this. They're just one of the really good teams out west without him with him. They become that team. You got your boy Andrew Wiggins balling out. You got Jordan Poole, who's doing this thing off the bench behind the soon to be splash brothers two. You got draymond green doing draymond green things. Come on, now you got, you start looking at that roster. Without play though, right? What's that? You give me all the reasons why that win without clay 'cause all these guys. They need more, Gary. They need more. To ball it. They need more than any more than what they got to win it all, because go ahead. No, I think what they're a team that is very sound talent did, but thing has to go right. And everything is gone. They've stayed. Yeah. Frozen relatively healthy. I don't think they've been dying? Yeah, we do now. Freeze frame. Do they ain't my fault? I'm sure you got that. Of course he has to blame us. Anyway, dude. Of course, is our fault. Right. But y'all, okay, Kyle. But the warriors have. Everybody like you. I don't put a junior came in as resurrected his career. You know, draymond's been draymond. Like if your Wiggins are like on the verge of it all, everything has gone right for them. And so I think that's helped, but I also think they have that winning culture there. Like they know how to win. Gary Payton was free to.

"Those first years, anybody that's seen him knows that he was tragic. But he and I just remembered when I constructed Jordan Poole island. It was on this night. It was a couple days before new year's. 2019. And he was just in this empty gym and he just really didn't lack confidence. And I remember talking to him after the after the game was fucking freezing and Stockton. And I tried every journalistic tool to knock his to get a quote about him not being confident. I'm just like, yo, do you feel like not confident 'cause you are in this time where you play like shit, this whole season, but you're here, but do you think that are you gonna be okay? And he was like, no, I'm good, bro, I'm really good, bro and we're standing in this parking lot. We're both freezing. I'm trying to get a quote, and he's like, nah, bro, I'm good. I ain't tripping. I'm fine. I'm be all right. And every time I talk to him, whether he was really tripping or not on his success, he would never show it to anybody. And that's when I knew that like, okay, he might be something. This dude might be something. Now, I think he was gonna be like, I don't know, a putting up all star numbers this year? No, I did not. I wasn't expecting that, but I was expecting him to be good. I always thought that he was going to be good. I was probably the only one in life that had bought stock than Jordan Poland in 2019. There's a lot more people on that bandwagon now, including myself. He is extremely feeling himself, which is like I think a big reason why I was high on him at the end of last season. And why I continue to say the story. I'm piggybacking, yes, I am. Look, he just like he had that experience. And I feel like he took it and was like, wait, I actually am the guy who can make big plays in big games. I can hit huge threes and I can cross anybody over. His lateral quickness on his crossovers is just incredible. He can get in front of anybody. And I feel like he knows that at this point, it's a point away like now at this point, he's just got to start playing a little bit slower. But, you know, he'll get there. He's got a lot of progress that he will probably make. And that's kind of what this team is. A lot of people where I look at them, and I'm like, well, yeah, you'd have to get from point a to B, but the evidence kind of suggests that they will. I think that the thing would Jordan Poole is. He has just a crazy irrational confidence. I remember what title I was talking about against perhaps. Arrogance, I was talking to Steve, Steve Kerr. I think it was right after that the G league stint. And I was talking to Steve, we were in San Antonio and I was just talking to him about just getting like, just talking to him about Jordan and his complaint with Jordan was that he's too cool. And what I mean by too cool is he has to be cool at all times and it affects his defense to where he's just like, you know, what am I supposed to do as a player? He's the guy that practice all of his celebrations before he practiced his game. So he already knows he's watched all the Kobe film. He knows the faces to make. He knows the celebrations to do, and he knows how to stand up hella cool on defense. Now, his offense has taken off more, but if you see in the warriors game, he still doing that cool shit on defense to where he's like, you know, doing the shoulder things. And what do you mean? What are the cool things on defense? What do you mean by that? So, you know, when you stand in the corner, Carmelo is a great example. I think Carmelo is the best example of, you know, yeah, don't worry about the dude in a corner. I got him, don't even trip, and then the dude in the corner cuts and like he doesn't even see him and he either gets a three pointer or an easy layup. It's that cool defense, right? He's just like scratching his head after. Like, oh, what was that? Yeah, so there was a fucking Jordan Poole did that even as great as he is, did that in the home opener where he's just like hella cool and then Avery Bradley who just came in for the first time in the fourth quarter, Kansas three on the other side because Jordan didn't remember to fucking run with his man. So that's what made by too cool, but he has offensive game has just blossomed so well that it affords enough time to him to improve his defense. Yeah, I mean, just another sign of just, you know, the ceiling with him, I feel like it just gets higher and higher, just another thing that he can continue to work on. What do you think he can be? I've already ceiling. That's a good one. Could you be Brad? No, I actually don't think so. I feel like his ceiling is actually, you know, I've been running my mouth about him, but I feel like his ceiling is probably like two time all star. You know what I mean? He's not, you know, like he's not if he makes if he makes an All-Star Game. I don't think he's going to make them like that consistently in his career, just because Jordan Poole, Logan Murdock all star all star like behind the scenes or something. The streets need like the Logan murder. You know how you know you're competitive. The cabbie presents, we need to Logan murder presents for George pull at all star if he makes the all star two. I'm just saying, I'm gonna talk to Ramon. We need the streets needed. Make it happen. Make it happen. Before we before we head out, we haven't actually gone to talk in the last few days. Something really amazing happened to you at the Lakers. Honestly, honestly happened to us. It really just happened. Yeah, I feel like it happened to us. I feel like it happened. I felt it when you texted me. So, I just want to preface this by saying that me and sear it bonded because we didn't even know each other. I just want to give back story. We've always known each other, but we bonded after I did a story on Kid Cudi on the site and Kid Cudi retweeted it. And that by extension made sear it find out that I was a Kid Cudi fan. And we became best friends shortly thereafter. We both were both like Kid Cudi saved my life teenagers. Yeah. Special thing that happens with. Exactly. Yeah. And so, you know, this is my first Lakers warriors Lakers home opener and the stars are out, but a Lil Wayne is their Adele was there. I saw Dell, she's amazing. So I wrote Paul with Adele. And Justin Bieber's there, it's just a Jack Nicholson ushers there. Everybody imaginable is there, right? But the one person when I'm walking out, I didn't even. It was Kid Cudi. And I didn't even see I didn't even know it was him at first, but I knew it was him because I walk in I walk into the one of the tunnels. And I just see a head, and it's a very colorful head, like Dennis Rodman, brand new dye head, right? And then there's a Jersey underneath. And I know that head from anywhere. And it was, and I'm like, that's fucking Kid Cudi. I know that's Kid Cudi. But, you know, like,.

"From we couldn't move the ball around we could have got a better shot. You didn't need to really take that really long three. I hear you. Yeah, and that's the process and he'll learn. And he's a smart kid as well. So I would anticipate Jordan Poole. That's why it feels like, you know, 20 points a game is like the floor here. I think you can get better. And I think he has the ability to get better. So it'll be we have an interesting question about Moses moody. I need to see more before I can have an idea. But I don't think he's got a higher ceiling than Jordan Poole because Jordan pools, I think is the 20 some point of game score. I don't think moody is there. Yeah, at the very least. And kaminga too. Can think it's got a great body. I just don't think he's ready to really contribute much and he won't get many minutes at all. So barring some injury. We have another super chat. Thank you so much to nice and native friend of the breakdown who's always been around there. High coach glad to see you back. Glad to be back. Nice to see you out there Nissan. Who are you expecting to be the Lakers wildcard ace up the sleeve? Love from New Zealand is always. All right, the love back to the kiwis. Let's see here. Wait, can I use that term, right? Kiwi is not a mean for New Zealanders. I don't even know. Someone tell me. Let's see here. So who's the wild card ace up their sleeve? Andrew wants to say LeBron. I mean, on the Lakers, it's probably like I kind of like a mellow if mello gets hot and then he doesn't get killed on defense, but I thought defensively, they yelled at him one, where he didn't come up on Steph Curry on a pick and roll. Kiwis fine, thank you, thank goodness. Okay, let's see here. So here's the problem. When you have, like, we know that LeBron gets mad at his teammates, right? When they screw up, and sometimes he gets mad that he mates when he screws up. So I'm curious to see how that's going to happen when we see LeBron and Melo do their normal stuff, which is going to violate LeBron's sense of decor. Now I had a good tweet earlier where I said that the reason why they need the stagger Russ and LeBron minutes is so that LeBron is on the bench and won't want to be able to kill Russ. So easily in the game after Russ does, you know, is something ridiculous that is a terrible turnover, a bad shot. Now we'll have to see how that's gonna work..

And so I acknowledge I'm like yo, thank you so much for listening and stuff like that, right? And then I'm about to go pay or whatever. And it's probably like 15 seconds have gone by since then. And then he's like, yo, Logan was popping, can I be real one of the week? Oh. And so. Oh, a solicitation for real one of the wheels. So my man Corey from the Hollywood Bowl snack bar is my rolling of the week. Because the asshole because he gave you that shit for free, bro, you know what? Because we have a fan out here. We have fans out here. So I'm just because, you know, 'cause he just acknowledged the team, man, you know? Man. Bro to you, my guy. So without being said, who is your real one of the week? That's it. You wouldn't even ready for that. I was not ready for that. You told me a story time and even though I should have seen it coming. A lot happened this week, Logan. Usually say that when you don't got shit to say, you understand what you're actually searching right now. I want to go off the top of my dome and tell you Lamar, but he's been Lamar Jack. 'cause you've been my real one tie, but did you see what he did? Against the colts? Can we just do it, man? Yeah, but I have an argument for another quarterback. I'm not going. I'm not going there, I'm not going there. I'm not going to do that. I'm not going to do that. I want you, but I have to acknowledge that the brilliance that was Lamar Jackson. He was like, I'm not talking about Lamar Jackson. There's another quarterback that is out here balling right now and might be doing something this weekend. I'm just saying, I don't know if you want to but still ruin it a week to.

"Immediately. And I said, damn, that this was my thought. Like, man, if you're a healthy clay, and he's taking that next step into evolution as an MBA player, with staff and draymond, like that, you're cooking. So I'm not all the way where you are, but I do think he's a nice player. I would just caution the same way I caution Joe me, all right, allow me to do this. First of all, I thought it was hilarious. That before you launched into your spiel, like the rise smile, they came across your face to those who can't see you right now. Was like, I couldn't tell her. This wasn't just a lighthearted like, amen. You're like really a fan, okay? So, no, bro I don't think he had this in him. You're excited. You were like, yes, this is happening. Bro, go ahead. Go ahead. What are we going to say? I just caution all of that. You can look fantastic and I'd say it again in preseason. And then summer league. And I would just say, it's fantastic because I think Taylor Horton Tucker was last year. You know what, you know what he averaged? Tell me what are the average. 9 points a game. I thought he averaged 19 points a game based on what Johnny texting every. But my point is, that is not shabby at all. Now, to somebody to watch the NBA, if you don't average 27, you're a bum. But the fact 9 points are 9 meaningful points. But there's a big difference between like what Joe me and people told me he was gonna be. And the 9 points that he wound up average. Now, he's gonna continue to get better, so will Jordan Poole. I'm just saying, I don't think super stardom. And I think that's okay, right? Okay, tell me this right now. And I've been around the game a long time, and I always defer to you with basketball. Questions like this, what is it the difference between pre season basketball and regular season basketball in terms of play? I saw LeBron last week and he basically told the media, I don't go fuck about preseason. I don't care. I do not care about anything about precious. I want to get to the regular season. This is just I'm running through the motions right now. I don't care. What is the difference when you get to LeBron saying that versus opening night when Jordan Poole has to face LeBron James? Because that is really the marquee matchup of the game opening night. Speed and physicality? Okay. I mean, you know, locked in this, if you will, right? And the preseason, you know, I may know that Logan is a good shooter. Am I assigned you should be like, you should know that, Ron. 'cause it was almost scouting report. And I should run over there and try to run you off and make you a pull up shooter. Make you have to dribble the ball a few times, because you're a catch of shoot guy. But it's the preseason. So I kind of run over half heartedly giving you the time I talked about to squeeze and boom, you knocked it down. So you look good. Now, in a regular season game when there's more on the line. I'm going to run out there and get on top of your toes. So you can't shoot that ball. Now you got to put it on the floor. Your percentage is dropped dramatically, right? So that's the time I talk about the physicality. It's just that. Nobody's trying to get hurt in the preseason. So, you know, you're not banging and Jocelyn the same way you would. Like, it just doesn't mean as much. And so, you know, some of those drives to the room and those forests to the rim where you see guys like last night I forget who the kid was from Orlando. Don't drive down the way and just don't think I'm Obama. Bro try to dunk on mo bamba. Like that's fine, but somebody stepping in front of that in the regular season and making you get up off the ground. Well, not as much in today's NBA, but the point is, it means a little bit more, and so there's a little bit more physicality and it takes away some of the things that some people are able to do. I told this story before, played MJ and my second year in the league. This is my second. It was my third preseason. I didn't play much with Atlanta my first year. I didn't play much with San Antonio, my second year, but I was playing a lot for Philly in this preseason. And every starter was out like the Allen Iverson had surgery late Aaron McKee had surgery late and Eric snow was out. So speedy claxton and myself were just starting guards. Given like, just doing everything we wanted to do. I gave MJ a hot 21 at Penn State. We were at Penn State university. Nanny, God bless her. She turned 95 September 13th. Manny was in the building that my grandma sitting behind the bench. Yep. Going in. Shout out to OG. I thought it was king Logan. I was gas. With the family after the game, my audition's about to be. I'm here, baby. I'm going to be one of the greatest of all time. We have better than Michael Jordan. I am very fast forward to three weeks later first regular season game in Washington, D.C.. I ain't score point. MJ probably had 27. It just was he just didn't care. Was it like a soft 27? Was this like a 19 27? Like take this. Yeah. You can't do anything about this. And I don't know what you thought Penn State was, but that is not real NBA, bro welcome. I saw this funny 'cause it was a similar point of the show wants us toscano Anderson had a moment with LeBron in the first game. It was that Chase center gets the Lakers. And first of all, Juan felt the shit out of LeBron and it didn't call it right on a fadeaway. He felt the shit out of him. And then goes in, and then hits like a transition three on the other end. And I'm above the family section so the family says, they're just like, yeah, fuck yeah. It's like Juan toscano Anderson team Mexico jerseys in the building. It was wrong when it was ready to go, right? And then a couple on Tuesday. LeBron got him on that same spot and was like, all right, it just gave us the same the same move every time just like here take this shoulder. Dark fade away. Oh, take this shoulder. Oh, oh, spin, Kobe fade away. It all net, and it was just like damn. That was, that was crazy. A quick transition though. Jordan Poole, I think, I don't know if he's gonna be an all star..

"And people, I'm sorry, we're on the vaccine conversation. I said I wasn't going to go there now. Like, no, ideally, ideally? No, I don't want to take a vaccine. I'd rather not. Given the choice during regular times and you said, hey, you take this shot in your arm where you don't have to. Not good. I don't take it. But given the context of the global pandemic, pandemic, which we are still in, by the way, and he said last night that we're out of we are not out of it. We're so and given the context and social responsibility in my eyes to help get us out of the pandemic, I'm going to take the vaccine. Yeah. Hey, man, I don't think I'm gonna make a declaration, man. I don't want to talk about Kyrie anymore after this episode, dog. And I went that let's talk about some happier stuff on the break. I got some happy shit to talk about. Let's do it, bro let's take a quick break, man. All right, Roy, let's talk about some happy stuff, man. I'm here to dispute propaganda and I'm here for you to tell me that I'm stupid. And then I can I don't know what I'm talking about. With pleasure. You ready to do this? So I just like I said, I've been around the warriors for like the last. I would say two and a half weeks working on a story that's coming out Monday. I think you guys like it. But I don't know how much versus the basketball you've been watching, but I've been watching a lot of wires pretty since basketball, and I think Jordan pool might be an all star one day. I just really do. Remember, hold on hold on. Just let me give my whole spiel out. Let me give my house feel loud. Okay. Remember last year when Joey came on our program after two and a half Laker games and 7 quarters of watching Taylor Horton Tucker. You know, play really great in preseason, right? And drinking the Kool-Aid. And he just basically said that talen Horton Tucker was the next the next best Laker guard. He's going to be a Hall of Famer. He is going to be a champion. He's going to win a title by himself. It doesn't matter if LeBron is on the roster. It's not what he said it was basically what he said. Am I wrong for having similar feelings about Jordan Poole? Right now. I don't know. I mean, first of all, you're not wrong for having like he can play. I watched him the other night against the Lakers. He can who, you know what? Honest guy, when I turn the game on, he had a couple splash plays.

"Not many people on the planet have ever been able to do it. And so you're going to take a swing at it. You're going to at least look. Yeah. But it's funny because it goes back to the polarization of this vaccine stuff because also, you know, and again, you know my stance on the vaccines, but we see this we juxtapose this. Say if do we think that this would have been a bigger deal if say Kyrie was in Denver, where we just had a big feature from a big feature from rob Mahoney on Michael Porter junior who has said on record, I'm not getting vaccinated, and or I'm not getting vaccinated just yet. And but he's in Colorado where there's no such mandate. Do you think it would have been his polarizing if he was in Denver and he was doing was the same time of the same things? No. Definitely not. It's because he lives in an municipality where he can't go to work and do his job. And if he was in Denver, where that doesn't exist, it would just be, it would be what it is, you know? It wouldn't be a big deal because he wouldn't be missing all of that time with your paid to do a job, man. I paid 40 million. I want to say $34 million to do a job. You signed on to do that job. In some instances, you I don't want to say chorus. That's too strong of a word, but you've aligned with other people to bring them to Brooklyn with you to do a job. And when you do that, there's a responsibility, right? And if you're not then going to be able to do that job and live up to your end of the bargain by your own choice, we all have choices to make. Like, you know, what I like people to miss me with is the whole, you know, he don't have a, you know, he's got a choice. Like he's choosing not to do it. It's the law currently where he is. And where he's chosen to play. Also, I would say Kyrie wanted to go to Brooklyn. He wanted to be in Brooklyn. He wanted to be in New York. New York passed this legislation or whatever happened and then this is where we are. What are we going to do? So, no, it wouldn't be the same story. But you do have a choice, right? Like you have a choice. You can do it or you don't have to do it. And if you choose not to do it, then like I've said on the pod before, like you choose not to get your kids vaccinated. It's your choice. They just can't go to public schools. You know what I mean?.

"Out the year, standing up for a bunch of other people, I would be looking at him sideways. Dog, wait a minute. I sacrificed literally took money out of my pocket. And so that's the sense that and that I'm coming from. So I wouldn't be on side regardless. I'm not even touching vaccines versus non vaccines and I'm not even getting into that. I'm talking about purely as a teammate, you know? As someone who chose to come to Brooklyn to get something done. And now, you know, that's in jeopardy. Listen, man, and I'm with you on this. Our both of our stances have been crystal clear on this show about how we feel about vaccines. So there's really no reason to go there. But I do want to get to the teammate point of this because at what point does not only guys like you and role players patients get thin, because by and large, changes are going to happen until Kevin Durant and hardens views change of this. Where do you think that when do you think that they get at their wits in and they're just like, okay, we're giving up on Kyrie completely like now they've already done that and said, yo, you can't play until you get jabbed up. It's just not gonna happen. But at what point do they just get like, man, dude, what are you doing? It's simple. It's just get one shot for us. It's not even about your health at this point. It's about being a good teammate. At what point do you think that the superstar patients ways thin? Because we already know the front offices as thin, we know we've seen ribbons on the lines with Steve Nash, the patients is then when does it get to probably the most important people in that organization, patients getting. That's a great question. I want to when I told you what my stance was, it would be it's impossible for me to put myself in their shoes. Like, I wasn't that type of player. I didn't have that. It's hard, but I can only assume that if they get, I don't know, let's say, a quarter of the way through the season. And there isn't, or there aren't clear lines of communication.

"Not being available. Both for injury, which is beyond your control, no one would hold that against you. But also being unavailable for reasons that have nothing to do with an injury. Where you just need time to go off and do what you do. While everyone else is at work and on this same journey in quest, galvanized as a unit to try to win this championship. And so I think what's different about this one is the history behind Kyrie and some of the some of the other times in that history where he has been unavailable for his own personal reasons. Yeah. I want to also be there to Kyrie, but I do too. And I was talking it was funny because I was talking to somebody, at least last night about this. And the biggest thing that I were talking about how, you know, Kyrie's not the first person to have this unvaccinated stance. And especially in the NBA, so does he feel the person, you know, just, you know, throw out is potentially be targeted. My answer to that was, I don't think this would have been as polarizing if Kyrie didn't have the history that he has. If he didn't, I think people forget that he left the team without talking last year without telling anyone on the nets that he was leaving for a family reason or anything. But he didn't tell anybody about this. And then we get the this goes back to my point of when he gets in trouble. He's talking about how he's fighting for something. Last time he was talking about how he's fighting for it came out, maybe he's fighting for workers comp. But workers comp in the NBA or PTO in the NBA, right? That workers now. But PTO. And when we take PTO, we gotta take a tell our bosses, you know, no matter what walk of life this is, right? But we forget all of what that happened. And I think if there was, if this was just an isolated incident in Kyrie, didn't have a history of this. I think that we would probably give him the grace that he's asking for during this time. Am I wrong on that? I think that that's really the biggest thing is if this history of Kyrie wasn't the history of Kyrie, we'd probably be on a side, but it's just a gradual thing because you worked with him in Cleveland and it keeps on going and we've seen this we've seen it in Boston. We've seen this in and now in Brooklyn. And it's just been a pattern so far. And I don't think we would have been as hard on him about this if there wasn't such a pattern. Yeah, well, let me be clear. I didn't see this in Cleveland. There weren't any issues with anything like that. He seemed to be fine. The team was fine, and then, you know, I was on. They went on to win a championship. And whatever transpired there after I left, I wasn't privy to. So I didn't get to see that. I've watched from afar, though. And I do think it's fair that you take history and his history into account. When you're forming an opinion on what's going on right now. I, however, without its history, still would not be on his side. I wouldn't be on his side because I try to put myself in the position of someone on that team that would have been similar to me in my career. Someone who looked around this off season and said, you know, one of two scenarios probably, man, I'm older, what's the best opportunity to minimum guy at this point? What's the best opportunity for me to win a championship?.

"Logan Murdock here, Raja bell there. This is a real one. Raja this is our first. Let's just call it for celebration before we get into the shits. This is our first Thursday show of the season, man. This is a dawn of a new era. We're going back to our Monday, Thursday. Schedule of real ones. This is our first Thursday. We couldn't do Monday because I was a company holiday, but we are back on track two days out of the week started next week where the seasons start first Thursday's show Raja, how you feeling dog? Ready to go, baby. I'm rejuvenated, rested. I'm ready to go. I mean, I got you. I should take it off my chest, Logan. You know what I'm gonna lie man. I know this is a Thursday show. I couldn't sleep worth shit last night. I was like, the first day of school. I'm not alone. I'm capping. But I didn't see last night and I'm ready to go right now, though. Let's just get to it. Let's get right into it, man. It's funny because I were talking pre-production. And you know, there's just sometimes where on my podcast is out there on my pod fathers and pod mothers and all the all my peeps out there. Everybody out there knows. Sometimes you just don't the rundown is just getting hard, right? Where you just don't know what you're going to put on to your program. You have no idea what's going to happen. And then, you know, right at night, you know, you do your googles and stuff and something happens, where you're just like, oh, this is going to not only lead our show. It might just carry our show, and that happened. Last night in the days before our show, and that is the saga. Of one Kyrie Irving, Raja, who went on and I actually live 19 minutes. I didn't see the full 19 in his life. I actually found it on, you know, the nets daily. The SB nation aside for the nets. But you actually watched it a little bit. You did the social media guy now. You're head of socials for ringers for ringer ruins. And you got a chance to check it out. There's a lot of stuff going on. Can you just give me your raw thoughts on what you saw from that 19 minute clip from unvaccinated Kyrie Irving, please? Yeah, first of all, I didn't watch the whole 19 because I don't know, like 8 or 9 minutes into it. I tapped out. I was kind of like when I say that the people who hop in my DMs sometimes you can just miss me with some of that. It's just I felt confused, I guess is the best way to put the way I felt 8 or 9 minutes into it. I just felt like you were kind of all over the place. Left me feeling kind of like you're looking for different places and different reasons and different explanations that kind of fit the narrative. Maybe trying to paint yourself as the victim in this to some degree. Yeah. And for that, I just couldn't listen anymore. And so I didn't watch the whole 19 minute. Yeah. And in the 19 minute IG clip, he talked about how he's doing what's best for him to not get vaccinated. He alluded to not alluded to being told one thing about vaccinations in the summer by the nets that he could get maybe an exemption by the nets or maybe by the New York. I don't know it's unclear right there, but he thought that he could get an exemption from getting the vaccine. And he says he's not anti vaxx, but he is trying to speak up for the people without a voice. Who don't want to put things into their bodies. And I do feel like most times and I want to give Kyrie the benefit of the doubt. I do feel like sometimes he or most times is heart seems to be in the right place. I guess what these things but it always seems to come up when he gets himself in trouble. I'm just not speaking up for the media because the media are pawns. They're not going to do they're not saying the right thing. Most times, we don't really hear what you're talking about. You never talk to us and when you do, it's a lot of misguided stuff. It's a lot of stuff that there's some truth and a large majority of it that gets to put out there is not truth from you from your words. And what makes the Kyrie hold out different from all the other holdouts that we've seen when we talk about Ben Simmons, we would talk about the NFL 'cause you know we're both NFL, guys. What's the biggest thing with this holdout? When it comes to a team, then other holdouts that we see were players do good support from things like this. When they do get support from their teams, when you get support, maybe from some people in the front office. But what is different between this holdout and other holdouts that you've seen? It's a good question, Logan, and it's hard to digest all of that, right? Because there's a lot that goes into that. Yeah. Most other things, I would say history. You have a history of.
