Dana Goldberg and Stephanie Are Giddy Over This Week's Trump Raid

"Know what to say about how good this week has been and it's only Thursday still. I mean, it has been blissful. A G and I were talking about it on the podcast yesterday. She's just, you know, Trump's walking around going, I'm innocent, but which one of you has the wire? And then I said, but which one of you is bugged? Yes. Yes, Travis. Oh, we could say something on the safe. Mick Mulvaney was on scene, and this morning. He said that only 6 to 8 people know about that safe and Mar-a-Lago. Oh. Who could it be? Oh my God. It's like a game of clue. It's just getting. It's like mystery date, but better. Now he's going to be sad he wasn't there, Dana, 'cause the Trump lawyer said she saw ten to 15 FBI vehicles, including a rider truck. You know how he loves to pretend to drive the trucks. And drugs are a big trick. Do we have him doing it? I love big drops, Hong Kong. Doesn't he doesn't he always pretend? For photo ops to ride the stop reaching for the wheels, sir, you need to stop reaching for the wheel. Okay, she spoke to Trump while the raid was underway, and he expressed shock about the FBI search. This is massive job done right. Has required more than 1500 pieces of heavy equipment, one of the largest cranes anywhere in the world and look forward to seeing it. I love cranes. I love trucks of all. Not the rider trucks at the FBI. I took your illegal away and yes, this is but you know, the fact that he expressed shocking that this is what Mary Trump said yesterday, I think, is that this is the first time his life he's been without protection of the office of the presidency of the banks of his father. I mean, he's shocked because why wouldn't he be? He's gotten away with everything his entire life. But she's also said and we need to follow it. He's that list of inventory that he said he has. They're going to say they planted something. They were already starting to say that. That's what he's alluding to, and all of these will no one was there. The lawyers weren't there. The FBI agents had full reign. It's coming. So we all need to be prepared that it's coming. Yeah, I would say I was quoting Rachel Bennett offer earlier said, I think what we find at the end of the day is going to make our jaws drop as much as nothing you think nothing would surprise you about Donald Trump. What would be worth hiding and going to prison for for ten months? Jim Jordan seems to think it's golf balls. That's what they took boxes of golf balls and a raincoat. I'm like, he doesn't have a raincoat. He doesn't know how to use a rain umbrellas. So I'm sure that's not what's in the boxes, Jim.

"The thing is. I honestly believe all of those people, they don't know what the FBI grabbed. Right. I mean, they don't, I mean, Jim Jordan doesn't know what they have. They're way out on a limb. He doesn't know what they have. Yeah. That's the thing. But again, I mean, I go along with all of the FBI law enforcement types who say there is no federal judge who ever lived, who signs off on this warrant, unless it's absolutely. Yeah. They've got somebody saying something. Not just suspicions of what may are the fact of the national archives is pissed. I love the national archives and I think that people work there are wonderful, but that's not enough to get a federal judge to sign off on a warrant either. Yeah. We were saying with eastman and Clark, they were saying what it takes to get a warrant to get a raid on attorney like that. But you're right. For the former president, I mean, I think. If I were king of the forest, I would be very interested in what pat cipollone is always already told.

Andy Ogles: Earning the Edorsement of Trace Adkins

"You've been endorsed by the freedom caucus. I know that Jim Jordan, Scott Perry, who's the chairman of the freedom caucus, Mark Meadows, who helped found it, who was Donald Trump's chief of staff. They've all weighed in already. They're all already helping. You've also been endorsed, I think in one of the, one of the cooler endorsement trace Atkins who doesn't get involved politically a lot, but he stepped up. How did you get trace involved? Well, you know, and we also can't leave out senator Ted Cruz. I mean, here at the end, when we felt that the race might be tightening a little bit, he without hesitation jumped in. He said, look, I need a fighter. We need more fighters like you up here in Congress and it would be an honor to endorse you. And so, but trace Atkins really goes back to COVID. You know, I refuse to comply with the mandates. I refuse to shut my community down. You know, the way I looked at it is if you're a single mom with two kids, your job was essential. If you're a small business owner, you're leasing your savings, your lives on the line, your business is essential and how dare the government. How dare the government tell you that you need to shut down. And so I refuse to comply with any of that nonsense. And because of that, trace had reached out just as a thank you gesture to say, hey, you want to go have dinner. And we started connecting and we had a concert. That first year of COVID, on the square, had over 35,000 people there. Because for me, it was about finding a solution. Look, COVID is real. I had a good friend that died from it, but I was unwilling to just cower and hide under my desk. We had to find a way through it. And that was by trusting people to make good decisions for themselves and not relying on the government to run our lives. Well,

Exposing an FBI Bombshell With Congressman Jim Jordan

"One of the best arguments for us to take back the house is to make sure Jim Jordan is in a position of leadership. Congressman Jordan, welcome back to the program. Good to be with you, Charlie and thanks for thanks for all you're doing for the cause of freedom. We appreciate it. Thank you. Well, you're fighting every single day. So congressman walk us through this new whistleblower. Seems like there's a lot of whistleblowers right now at the FBI and it's kind of it's hard to keep them all straight. Walk us through the one that you're kind of focused on right now that reveals scandalous push by FBI to pad domestic teradata. Please go ahead. Yeah, yeah. Your first point there, we've had over a dozen FBI agents come to us as whistleblowers. And think about it. They're coming to us when we're in the minority where we can't subpoena documents. They're just coming to us because it's so bad, the political nature of that place now is so, so egregious that they're willing to come to us just so we can begin to tell their story and tell the truth to the American people. And we had one come to us in the last few weeks who said that they are being pressured to label almost every case. The catalog or categorize almost every case as a domestic terrorism case as it didn't do it. Domestic violence extremism, I think, is the technical term they use. And you remember, they created this office within DoJ back as the start of this year. They stood it up a few months ago. And now they're being pressured to do it. And kind of the interesting thing about it is they said one of the key people who was doing the pressuring on the good rank and file agents is this guy named Timothy T bolt, who just happens to be the same guy who the other whistleblower, a different whistleblower who went to senator grassley, said was the individual who was responsible for suppressing evidence about the Hunter Biden story. So first thing evidence that would have disproved the whole disinformation campaign that we got from the left in the run up to the 2020 presidential election. So that's how political displace has become and it's why we're trying to tell the story and as you point out, hopefully if we get in the majority, we can do a little more about it.

Charlie Unpacks the Failed Referendum to Outlaw Abortion in Kansas

"I want to talk about Kansas. I have talked a little bit about this ballot issue in Kansas, and so for example, we got an email here of some people in Kansas. Hey Charlie, I'm a kansan pro life and Christian. I voted in person and yes, for the value them both amendment. It was very confusing language on the ballot, but we do have many Christians and churches supporting choice. It was heartbreaking, but nothing has changed as far as I could tell. Basically it seems the amendment was just for future protection laws. It goes on to say this is a big hit for us, but it's not the end. Thanks for all that you do. And so I have a couple takes on this. Number one, I think it was very poorly worded. I think that there was legitimate confusion. But I have another take on this that I do want to build out here that you might feel free to disagree with. I'm a 100% pro life, however, I do think that there are more people in Republican circles that are not as pro life as they might espouse publicly. That's not to say that they're totally pro choice. But I actually think that and I think it goes both ways, by the way. I think that there's some people that say there are a 100% pro choice that are actually more pro life than not. And this is only just from private conversations and from talks with people that some people start to get very, very nervous and they say, well, Charlie, what about this circumstance? What about that circumstance? It's done in private. It's not done publicly. And so that's not to say that it's a pro choice political party or anything, but I do think we have to lean in and do a much better job of explaining what does it actually mean to be pro life. And so I think there's a combination of things here. Very poorly worded ballot referendum. Churches that did not do their job, adequately based on people in Kansas, but I think that there is a private and soon to be realized whether or not I'm correct or not. Let's just say little bit of a hedge. In some Republican circles, that might not necessarily be on board for the pro life cause as much as it might seem.

What Is NATO?

"What is NATO? NATO is the North Atlantic Treaty Organization. NATO was formed post World War II, and it was formed with the idea of trying to hedge against the Soviet Union. Now there are some good reasons for that in the Soviet Union was an evil empire in more ways than one. Albeit, I don't think we're quite honest with some of our relationship with the Soviet Union. We did partner with the Soviet Union to defeat the Nazis. After that there was this mad dash of who will control Europe and NATO was formed. NATO has 30 member countries. These countries, Albania, Belgium, Bulgaria, Canada, Croatia, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Italy, Latvia Lithuania, Luxembourg, Montenegro, the Netherlands, North Macedonia, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, turkey, which I never quite understood. United Kingdom and the United States. These are 30 independent member countries. And there is what is called article 6. The article 5 article 6 of NATO, which is the mutual defense clause of NATO, which is an attack on one, is an attack on all.

Reports: FBI Knows More About Jan. 6 Bomber, Withholding Video

"A new report out that the FBI, this is from the gateway pundit, the FBI knows more about whoever planted the bombs outside of the RNC and DNC headquarters than they had previously led on. Anybody else find that odd that we have yet to know who actually planted those devices, especially since the whole thing was captured on camera. Anybody concerned about that? Now according to revolver news, the FBI is hiding security video footage of the January 6 pipe bomber planting the bombs. Congressman Jim Jordan sent a letter to the FBI director Chris wray in March. Regarding the investigation, according to that letter, now members of Congress are accusing the FBI FBI of withholding information. So why is it that the FBI doesn't want you to see the video footage of the suspect planting the bombs at the RNC and DNC? I have a theory about that. Is it possible that the reason why the FBI doesn't want you to see that video is because it was in fact the FBI that planted the bombs? Is that, is that a possibility? Why is it that the FBI has yet to explain how many of their agents, how many of their staffers were involved in the plotting and the execution of what happened on January 6th at the capitol building?

Is the Scandalous Biden Family Untouchable?

"The hearing when Christopher wray goes in front of the Senate? Is that Thursday? As did this Thursday, two days from now. To tell you the truth, I'm not holding my breath that he'll do anything other than what the FBI always does, which is to sell. We can't comment on an ongoing investigation. Yeah, I mean, I got to give the Biden's credit. They have a diversified portfolio of scandals. It's amazing. Every possible country region of the world industry walk of life, family member is involved in this. And so they are going to come under pressure from the Senate, but I think there is some cynicism, though, Miranda, that our audience has, and you've done a phenomenal job in your book, laptop from hell, which is how much is it actually going to take that just hold one of these people accountable? Or are we really in this moment where there's the untouchable class, regardless of how gross and disgusting and flagrant your crimes are, if your last name happens to be Biden or Clinton or Obama, you're largely untouchable. What are your thoughts on that? Well, look, I mean, I share some of that cynicism. And of course, the influence peddling racket that Joe Biden was the past master of is a bipartisan disease in Washington. It's really corrosive. Damaging as we can see now to our national security. And on the plus side, the Republicans telling me in the house in whether it's James coma, Jim Jordan, a whole lot of them are very rare doing a lot of work right now to get on top of the information. They're talking to witnesses. Whistleblowers are coming forward, they give them a car, it's told them to be aggressive when it comes to the Hunter Biden material. So they will be having hearings. They will be subpoenaing witnesses. They will have subpoena power in the house. I'm presuming they take back the house, which follows the show and they will. "This weekend, more bad news came for sly, Irwin Winkler seems to be happy just sticking the knife in Stallone's back. And he's now decided to twist it and plunge it deeper. Because it was announced that Irwin Winkler has green lit of film based on the Ivan Drago character from rocky four. The evil Russian fans, the evil Russian fans, remember who famously killed Apollo creed in the ring, right? Obviously, as with creed, this film's gonna be about Drago's son, fighting Adonis creed, I imagine, and Stallone's not happy about it at all. And I can't blame him. These characters are his creations. What a fuck Irwin Winkler is. Last year, Michael B. Jordan. That doesn't help. When a guy like Michael B. Jordan talks shit about Sylvester Stallone. It bothers me, 'cause he'd be nothing without sly. But this is what Michael B. Jordan said about sly participating or not participating in the creed movies last year. Oh, I want to punch him when I hit us. He says, yeah, I think that sly, let it be known that he wasn't coming back for this one. That's creed too. But I think, you know, his essence and his spirit. There's always gonna be a little bit of rocky within the donnas, but this is a creed franchise. And we really want to build this story and this world around him moving forward. So it's always respect and always a shit ton of love for what he's built. But we really want to push and navigate Adonis forward and the family that he created. So hopefully you guys will love what I'm thinking. What we're cooking up, I think it's gonna be something special. That was a piece of shit. I mean, it made money, but it was a piece of shit movie. And I said this on the Patreon show. Naturally, Sylvester Stallone went off on Instagram when he heard the news about this Ivan Drago spin off movie. Right, and you just went through the whole bunch of them that have threatened violence in their campaign ads, right? And I just sat through a hearing with the assistant attorney general where the Republicans are protesting that the Department of Justice is looking at people that threaten violence at school board meetings. And they can not draw the distinction between someone who would show up peacefully and passionately to talk about their kids curriculum. And the over 220 cases that Reuters has recently identified of incidents where school board members are being threatened and look, this is a lot who now is more comfortable with violence than voting. "jordan " Discussed on The Jordan Harbinger Show

"On the jordan harbinger show. What's next deer jordan gabe. When i was still in college. I got an unexpected and hefty inheritance and. I didn't make the best choices with that money. I traveled all over and partied. Lied to most of my close friends and family about it and ended up hooked on substances. When my closest friends found out the truth they reached out to me. And some even travel to find. It helped me at the time. I would say this is the new me. Leave me alone. i'm having fun. A lot of them. Cut me out of their lives after that and understandably so after a year and a half of living like that. I realized how sick i really was. I found help. I've been sober now for two and a half years. I've since reached out to my friends back then i've built back friendly relationships with some of them and others have told me that they're just not interested in letting me back into their lives. This hurts but it's understandable. So i just thank them for their time then. There are some who never responded and straight up. Blocked me on all social media. I have new friends and a new support group. But i just can't seem to let go of those people i never heard back from. It's easier for me to let the relationship die. If i got confirmation from the other party otherwise my mind is filled with what ifs and the advice on what i can do to move on and let things go signed a mending fences. Well you've been on quite a journey. My dude. I'm glad to hear that you got clean. You rebuilt your life. That i think is fantastic and definitely not easy to do. So congrats there. It sounds like you've been doing a lot of amends over the last five years which as you know is an important part of recovery. It sounds like when people reject those amends. You can accept that but when you don't get any response whatsoever yeah creates a lot of uncertainty. And that uncertainty is hard for you it's causing you to ruminate and obsess and i get why that's so tough. I think it would actually drive me crazy as well. Did you get my message. Why aren't you responding. Are you still man. Just not care like what the hell. Yeah yeah so so. what can you do. First of all rejected amends. This is actually a big topic within the addiction community. It's very common most recovery programs. They talk about how you are ultimately powerless over other people. You can't control how they'll respond as you probably know making amends that's ultimately not for you. It's for the person you've heard. At least you know ninety nine percent of it is right if if someone doesn't want to hear from you the general advice is to respect that and just do your best to move forward with your recovery but in your case moving on his heart because you just don't have the information you feel. You need to put a relationship to bed. I wonder if maybe what's happening. Is that in the absence of a response. You're doing what. I would do candidly in imagining the worst case. Scenario like believing that the person despises you and wants you to carry this guilt instead of imagining that they just might have a very full life now a different life or that. They don't know how to deal with their own feelings about your apology. Or who knows. Maybe they're stuck in addiction to or they're going through some other life crisis and it's like the crap that they need right now. You just don't know we don't know something as humans. We tend to tell ourselves a story that reflects our worst fears a lot of time. And there's probably a name for that cognitive bias. gabriel. I can't think of it off the top of my head. I know it applies to pretty much all people not just people in your shoes. So i think it's probably a negativity bias or or something akin to that so i think the key to resolving this problem actually i think negative negatively bias overestimating the likelihood of a negative outcome. But it similar. Something like that. So i think the key to resolving this problem is to get people to answer you or pretend like you don't really care what they think you do care and on some level you should care. The key is to figure out what it is about this uncertainty. That's so difficult for you. What thoughts come up when somebody doesn't respond to your amends. What does somebody else's re response or lack of response make you feel about yourself not to go all shrink on you here but if you can unpack those questions a little bit you could do it with sponsor you could do it with other friends and recovery. You could do it with a therapist. I think that this obstacle will become a lot more manageable for you. The pain might not go away completely. But you'll be able to process a lot of the stuff that comes up a rounded which is where most of the relief will actually come from. Yes i agree jordan. He cannot control what other people do or say but he can control how he processes the feelings. Maybe the guilt shame or just how. He frames his story in light of their response which who knows. I mean that might even be more therapeutic long-term than just hearing somebody he was mean to five years ago. Say that's okay. I forgive you. You know what i mean. Yeah it's a good point. I think that might mean living with a few of those old wounds. Well i that painful. But they don't need to be all bad so as important as repairing those old friendships is for you. Try not to pin all your feelings about yourself on these people. Sometimes you're just going to have to forgive yourself and forgive them for not forgiving you and just keep building life. "With Gabriel Weinberg. We wrote an article about the fundamental attribution air, if you want to check it out. It's Jordan, harbinger dot com slash articles and that was about wealth, the fundamental attribution areas when you cut off and traffic and you go. This person is a bad person drives, like a terrible person in his inconsiderate. We judge other people based on their actions, and we judge ourselves by our intentions, so we're weaving around crazily in traffic. It's because we're laid there's an emergency. It's important. Other people do it. It's because we and we ascribe all these negative characteristics to them, that seems to sort of hold hands with, with the technique doing if you're making the fundamental you're not doing right. Exactly. Avoid it. You should do them by the book super thing is full of all these really interesting examples, one of which was nudging and on restaurant menus, I always wondered, why some things are in boxes and I go out to eat with my brother-in-law. My wife, for example, he'll go. Ooh. This is the house special that doesn't mean anything it's in a box. It means that this is the highest profit margin thing. They can make a huge pot of it in the morning and it stays there all day. So they're like, ooh, we sell more of this. It's gone, we don't throw it away and we make thirty cents on the dollar for it or something like that. I didn't know that Russia in a lot of influence models nudge, in just as little cues kind of nudge, you into the direction people want you to go, and like specials other things that restaurants, do often as anchoring, so they will throw out really high priced items that not anyone really buys, but at anchors you to higher prices for the rest of the menu. And so if you look at it menu all these are like imbedded on a menu. You can almost take apart menu. And, and kind of see see these things that's fascinating. Where where does the anchoring take part? I'm trying to imagine where they put super expensive stuff. So that you just it depends on the restaurant, but even on any restaurant, they're often people aren't necessarily buying the most expensive thing menu. And so like the people look at it. And then once they look at it, they're like, oh, well, now I'm buying the second or third thing, most expensive, and I'm okay by that because it's not the most expensive thing, right? Right. So it's when there's like, hey, this burger is caviar on it. It's one hundred dollars. There's another burger that has twenty bucks, right? It's still a twenty dollar for right? You're like now the two hundred dollar one. Right. So they anchored your price of burgers higher than you would normally pay. That's brilliant, man. I'm such a sucker for all this. Here's the thing, I've studied mental models, cognitive bias when it's in real time it is. So. Difficult to go. Wait a minute. This is nudging and they're trying to get us to do this. And this is anchoring media lower price, because it's all happening subconsciously, your brain is processing all this stuff really quickly. Because these biases exist for we've evolved all these things they exist. Help us get along better in the world to make data analysis faster, not necessarily more accurate, but faster. So we have to kind of, like slowdown our natural processing take step back. Look, what lens we might be using what bias lens. We might be using and then undo that there's another kind of mental model of reversible or reverse decisions. And, and you could also kind of sub classified as consequential and inconsequential. But reversible decisions are ones that you can change really easily kind of think of it as door you can walk back there. Any reversible decisions are ones that have really high consequence that you can had kids? You not have exactly don't wanna test that go. You know, this is bad idea. A lot of these are, you know, there's, there's the day to day decisions. And then there are these larger decisions both professionally and personally, and when you realize you have an irreversible, then you really want to take a step back and not, not go fast at all right? You really wanna slow down, and even started to do a bunch more things like later in the book about decision making where you're writing things down. And you're using various specific processes and even statistics and bigger company decision cases to stop you from making these bias problems. Right. When I read about how you do that at duck duck. Go I thought, yeah, I could never run a company like this because it's so complicated. Sometimes there's all this data and you have to find it and you have to make sure it's good. And then you have to present it,.

"I've got like generalized anxiety disorder, which I've talked to my therapist through better help with and I do the phone consultations, and we've chatted a few times on text just to set up the calls. And then we just talk on the phone, and he's really helped me work through a lot of my issues without having to go anywhere without having to drive and sit in traffic and sit in the waiting room in the waiting room for me is my kryptonite sitting there with other people who are waiting to see that. There is just like you're looking at each other side eyed and going what's wrong with you? What's wrong with you? What's wrong with you? You don't have that. With better help, you can just make a phone call and talk to a super qualified therapist. That is really good at your problem. That's why they have a little they have a survey at the beginning of the process where they match you with somebody who is qualified in what you want to talk about. And it for me. It's been fantastic. I have you know, my. Diety is melting away with every call that I have with my therapist. And I really really can't recommend it enough. It has been fantastic for me personally. So if she doesn't want to like have the stigma of going to therapist, she can do it herself in her own time, and nobody even has to know, but it's going to help her get past that hypochondria that thinking that every little ache and pain is cancer. And you know, I think what you said before Jordan like, you know, she may have ignored those aches and pains in then she has gone to the other side of the spectrum after she did have this tumor and have it removed is like, okay, I Nord this my whole life. You know? I was a tough cookie. Nothing's ever going to bother me. Oh, it turns out. Well, the something was wrong. And now every little ache and pain is turning into catastrophes in the situation where it might not be warranted. Exactly. Yeah. I think it's tough. It will potentially solve itself over time as she begins to trust her body, more and is less traumatized by the cancer, which comes through therapy 'cause waiting it out waiting for. Broken leg to heal without getting cast. And a lot of people are afraid to take care of their mental health. And for me doing that. As one of the best things I've ever done for myself, you need to stay sane. You know, when you're going through a tough time get there, I get people not wanting to go to doctors and waiting rooms. But now you don't have to do that anymore. So please keep us posted on how that goes. And definitely try better. I think they must have some sort of guarantee. I I'm I don't know if they do but better help dot com slash Jordan. We've got nothing but good feedback on this. And also, you might want to try it yourself because you're having to deal with this, and you might need a therapist as well just to like talk you through the entire process of what she's going through. So it might help you as well. I that's a good point. You could both use it. I would imagine especially, and if you do it she might be like, oh, well, if you're doing it, then maybe it doesn't mean, I'm crazy. You're not looking at me. And judging me you're doing yourself that kind of thing. This is feedback Friday. We'll be right back after this. This episode is sponsored in part by better help a lot of people have been emailing me and asking me about therapy. I highly recommend therapy for all sane people. "The show. I'm Jordan harbinger. As always I'm here with my producer Jason to Filipo when life gets hard our minds, so quickly point a finger elsewhere that we often don't even realize we're doing it. If you're quick to blame others. Join the club. I think if we're really honest with ourselves a lot of us are guilty of this either in our personal relationships at the office or both. In fact, pundits galore are calling blame an epidemic in our society. Although they usually name it something else. The truth is the instinct to blame is a toxic pattern and one that deprives us of our agency weakens our relationships creates dysfunction and inertia in our lives and stops us from growing and moving forward. I probably don't need to keep selling you on the idea that blame is one of the worst habits to have and should be at the top of your list of habits to break today. Gabriel Mizrahi, and I explore why the impulse to blame is uniquely human and outline what we call the accountability spectrum. So that we not only stop blaming others. But we also do not simply absorb blame ourselves. Selves, which is equally harmful. Of course. Once we can spot blaming identify when we're doing it will also give you some tools to break the habit and show, you how to replace it with a process that's functional keeps us happy and productive and makes the right kind of accountability a habit that we can take to the Bank as many of, you know, have huge personal and professional network and the way that I built that was through systems and tiny habits, and consistency. "So if you were my dad, Jordan, I really want to go out for like I want to have a sleep over this week. And he'd be like like most people say Honey like you can't have a sleep over. We're busy with soccer games. When my parents always do is set up as as a choice like Honey if you have a sleep over this weekend. Then you have to miss your soccer game, which means less playing time, which do you choose? They always say like, what do you choose? What do you think? It was never. Yes. Or no. This is the only thing I can look back at my child and then try and analyze, but honestly, like, I'm not a therapist someone else. Probably look at it and find all kinds of other patterns, but you said messed up was at a joke or just because you were flipped around. Or was there all kinds of weird stuff going on where you're like? I gotta fend for myself and make money early. And all this stuff. I mean, look my and I'm never talked to my dad about this. I've never really talked about it publicly. But I think. Inappropriate, you know, time to think about and space to think about I mean, he dealt with hardcore like alcoholism. Okay. And so my and my mom, obviously, didn't right. So there was always a moment where I'd have to analyze it. Every moment of every day has he had something to drink is he thinking rationally right now or irrationally that's area. Kid. Well, yeah. So I would have to essentially alter my behavior based on if I thought any moment he was in a rational or irrational state because it's two different methods. And so what happened is and I actually wanted to use as the opening kind of sentence in the book, but I didn't the publisher like it when my mom hated it. But one of the deals I'm most proud of negotiating was my parents divorce, you negotiated your end and go through my parents divorce. They I knew from both sides. They were staying together until my young brother left the house. They wanted to stay as a family unit, and the reason both of them want to do this because we grew up Roman Catholic, and it was at interesting. Yeah. Look, very bad from a church perspective. But the problem is no one when my dad was an irrational state, my mom or my younger siblings. Whenever really stand up to him. So I was really worried if I left for college, and no one was there to kinda hold his irrational behavior in chat he would recommend. Yeah. And by the way, when it wasn't physical. But it was a motion doesn't even matter at that point to not know to not have. Certainty in the house. Whether your dad is sober and going to be fine or wildly irrational and going to be a. Yeah. And again, it wasn't anything that would ever like make the news or listen a phone call to police was nothing like that. It was just like I got grounded one time for putting peanut butter and jelly on accident on the wash cloth because he was irrational state just flipped out over this like really little issue. I mean, I remember like it was yesterday because that he didn't grounded me for seven days. And this was when I was leaving for college. I couldn't drive myself to work my mom would have to stop her work. She was the breadwinner. Remember and drive me to my work because my dad didn't want me to drive because I was grounded. Oh god. It's so irrational rain. So anyways, negotiate the divorce. It was a beautiful divorce. Their friends today. There were no money spent on lawyers, everyone still talk to each other. It was a really great divorce. Wow. That's that's that's too much response. How old were you at that point while I was going to call it seventeen eighteen so that's see you you were this responsibility for this stuff..

"Jordan, harbinger dot com slash level one all right last. But not least. Hey, guys. I'm in my thirties. Single and would love to go on dates to meet people. I hesitate to do online dating sites because I have a chronic illness. And it makes me feel insecure about meeting new people. I don't know when it's a good time to tell someone about my challenge, or what's the proper way to communicate it, especially since it's such a private matter. What do you think should do should? I just share it on the first date the third date or when I'm actually in a relationship with that person. Thanks don't wanna be alone. Forever. Okay. Well, the pros and cons here. The first and third date disclosure. When you're in a relationship, it's unfair to drop something on someone like this little Lazio. I think late. Yeah. And also not only is it unfair. But I think if someone goes, by the way, I have this thing I didn't tell you about now that we've been dating for three weeks. I'd be like, wait. What what else is there that you haven't disclosed? That's really kind of shady. So that's way too late. Look, let's have irritable bowel syndrome or something. That's kind of embarrassing it. You don't want to disclose its chronic third date is fine. You need to show your cards. If you want to build any sort of relationship on a foundation of honesty, if you're doing this in a relationship here, it is asking people to break up with you because you lied or for some other pretext. The first date though, might be a bit TMI. Right. And then you're defined by your illness. Like, oh, I liked her. She was cool. But then something about this chronic disease. I dunno. Sure that's unfair. Gee, it's not fair. Life's not fair. You have to sell people that you are great in that you click with them and. Then you can tell people about whatever issue you've got. And they can decide if they like you enough to deal with it or not. That's just the way it is. So I know that that's not ideal. It'd be great if you could just disclose everything right up and people would be non-judgmental. It'd be great sure if it was fair to everyone to just wait until they were madly in love with you. And that'd be like, by the way. But that's not fair to them either. It really isn't. So you really have to take that balance. I think the third day to good time to do that. Because that's when people are starting to decide and my more attached to this person. Do I like this person? Do I want to be exclusive with this person? That's when all the cards have to come out on the table, if you're conditions STD, then you need to say it before you sleep with per. Oh, yeah. I had that happened to me. I was dating a girl for quite some time. And then we'd slept together for quite some time..

"Welcome to the show. I'm Jordan harbinger. And I'm here with my producer Jason to Philip. Oh, man. I'm excited for this one. I have been trying to get Darren Brown on this show for over a decade. And finally, it's happening. If you heard feedback Friday, you know that I went to his house, and he's got props from his shows there. He's got all these taxidermy animals like two headed snakes in two headed caps and six legged piglets and his house is just like something out of Sherlock, Holmes antiques, everywhere secret passageways, and he is just the coolest guy I'm trying to fan boy out so much year. But I just can't help myself this guy Darren is a genius. First of all if you haven't seen any of his work, imagine a magician or allusion, est. I don't even know what you call him at this point. He convinces people to. In theory, murder someone by throwing them off a roof. Of course, the guys harnessed in but convincing people to do that convincing people who are racist to jump in front of a bullet for who. They think is an illegal immigrant. I mean, it's just his mind. Tricks are insane. Not to mention fake, faith, healing hypnosis all kinds of it's just absolutely. He's one of the most incredible people alive today. I'm not even kidding. I just I just love what he does. Jason. You're obviously familiar with Aaron Brown. I am I was introduced to Darren Brown about seven years ago when we first met you sent me some of his videos, and I've been a fan boy ever since. And I am so jealous that I did not get to come to London to meet Darren in person because I am a huge fan of his work. He's just like you said, he's a genius his house. Sounds like everything that I would expect it to be exactly exactly. And today, we're talking about how psychological manipulation works hypnotic suggestion. We're talking about all kinds of. Elements of the show that you just can't get anywhere else there so much in this episode from how psychic fraud works to how faith healing works to how he comes up with his tricks and his allusions how he tests the shows in the experiments, there's just everything I always wanted to know in this episode and more. So please enjoy I hope you enjoy this fraction as much as I loved recording it and being able to do it. It's just it's really incredible. And if you want to know how I get people like this in my network and create connections with people like this. Well, I'm teaching it to you level one the courses free. It takes a few minutes per day. Check it out Jordan, harbinger dot com slash level one..
