"And the guy he's replacing Troy reeder finished 79th. There is an upgrade there and then he plays next to Ernest Jones who's just dripping with talent and I think we see growth and maturation from Ernest Jones if he's willing to be a sponge and hold on to everything Bobby Wagner teaches him. So from that perspective, you do upgrade with Wagner and I think he probably helps Ernest Jones reach his potential. Jalen Ramsey is good as it gets in the secondary is willing to shadow the best receivers. You can play outside. You can play in the slot he's a willing tackle. He just does it all. He's kind of the queen on the rams chess board defensively. He finished fourth in adjusted yards allowed per coverage snap. Troy hill is back to man the slot after a one year stint in Cleveland. I think he's a solid player in 2020. He was good. He was an elite in 2019, gave up a 45% completion rate in a 54 passer rating when targeted. So it's good to get him back in the slot for the rams defense. Jordan fuller made a massive year two leap at safety. So the rams have three nice pieces there. But you're looking at David long starting opposite Ramsey. That scares me. All of the passing offense is we just talked about can scheme away from Ramsay. They all have multiple pass catchers. You have to worry about. I do think the rams regress from being first and pass rush win rate as they search for number two edge rusher. I don't love David long as a starting corner. There's holes on defense and the schedule is as tough as it gets Todd. When you last thing on the rams before we move on to the San Francisco forty-niners, as far as the market, do you feel the market fairly reflects the rams in terms of overall pricing? Have you seen anything unique? Whether it's the big picture odds or their win total this off season? I think they're priced a touch high in the futures market, but the NFC has just got so many questions. I really haven't gone that route of fading them, but obviously NFL week one, right? We've seen the bills go from plus one to minus two and a half. So among professional betters, there's certainly some sentiment that the rams could be a little bit weaker this year. Yeah, and of course, that rams bill's game will kick off the NFL season two weeks from today and it's a game where you'll get the deep dive breakdown right here on the bet the board podcast is we cover all of the marquee matchups for week one. In the continuing trend that is the NFC west and the 6° of separation in this case, which turn out to be playoff elimination, the team that knocked out the San Francisco forty-niners, the Los Angeles Rams we broke down. So we make theological segue up the coast into Northern California where you're looking at San Francisco priced at 16 to one at FanDuel sportsbook to win the Super Bowl. There are plus one 75 making them second favorites in the NFC west and their win total 9 and a half shaded to the over at minus a dollar 45. We know this is a franchise. That would mired in a bit of controversy, not any that was unexpected as they'll make the transition from Jimmy Garoppolo over the last couple of seasons to Trey Lance. And you do have to wonder if they're one of the more underappreciated franchises going in the NFC. They made two NFC title appearances over the last three years and are a few inopportune plays away from achieving greater heights. The interesting part about what we've seen from Kyle Shanahan during his time at the helm of the old golden red, the forty-niners, 35 and 16 with Jimmy Garoppolo under center, that record includes a playoffs, and without Jimmy in the mix, they're just 8 and 28. They've dealt with a rash of injuries to a lot of key contributors specifically at the skill positions. But this has been one of the better franchises in the National Football League, especially when they're catching points going 13 and 5 against the number the last 18 is underdogs. They've won ten out of those 18 games outright. I give you all of that pain to ask you this about the offense is Trey Lance ready to raise the floor and push the ceiling from what we've seen from the forty-niners. I think that's the right question because I don't know if Trey Lance becomes a Hall of Famer if he proves to be the best quarterback in the 2021 class. You asked the right question. I do think it's easy for Trey Lance to be an upgrade over Jimmy J and that's the biggest question we have knowing Jimmy G's been under center for what? Two of the last three. And if she championship games, he's taken his team there. We know he's a winner. This is the thing though. When you look at Kyle Shanahan, this is why we praise him so much. He's got one of the most friendly quarterback systems. There's just a ton of available yards in his system. And I look at it this way. The floor for Trey Lance might be fractionally lower than with Jimmy G operating the foreign owners offense. But there is no seal. That's the chance worth taking because the talent is plentiful. It's through the roof. And I think we've seen Kyle Shanahan's offense is operate with a young mobile quarterback with a rocket for an arm. If you just go back to 2012.

"Shipped off the Daltons left. Now don't lift that right leg, gets the snap back to pass. Looking left throws left side that's caught inside the numbers by money, and he takes it out to the 35 yard line. That will be good enough for a first down. Ramsey was in coverage. Darnell Mooney with the catch second year, Man, Tha Lane. They like him a lot. He had a big rookie season 61 catches a year ago, more than any rookie wide receiver in bears history. The The Rams playing to cover four and then they just ran a flat curl on the weak side. I would love to see the safety pull the trigger on that one because Jalen Ramsey is going to stay over top. Nine yard pickup first down for the Bears. From their own 35. Dalton back in the shotgun money goes in motion across the formation from left to right, given the Bears two receivers Either side, Dalton gets the snap back to pass looks right side throws that side That's cut by good when he's hit immediately by long and driven out of bounds on the far side. Up across the 40 yard line will give him progress out to the 42. That'll be a gain of seven and bring up second out of three every weekend on Westwood one NFL Preview, Scott Graham and Mike Golic breakdown. All the matchups. If you missed the show live, you can listen on demand at Westwood one sports com I would love to see How fast Andy Dalton is getting rid of the football because it's quick rhythm throws. There's going to be a play. He has to throw the ball down the field. Loosen up those DBS and safeties. Second out of three from the 42 Dalton goes under center, three receivers and a triangle to the left. Goodwin goes and most into the right. There's a handoff. Montgomery starts left cuts back, right spins out of attack when he takes it out to the 45 yard line. That should be good enough for the first down depend on the spot. Jordan Fuller, Kenny Young combined on the tackle. And that is going to be good enough for a first down run. Jordan Fuller is a guy that burst onto the scene a year ago in the opener against the Dallas Cowboys in an empty Sofi stadium yet eight tackles in that game 1/6 round pick Out of Ohio State. He became a big part of that defense last year. He really did. I mean, with him and Taylor rap rap got hurt. Last year, he kind of took his spot, but those two young safeties, they're going to be playmakers in the future for them. Damian Williams checks into running back, He'll line up the Daltons left 1st and 10 bears from their own 45. Here's the snap. Dalton give it to Williams, running right side finds increase cuts back across the field left takes it out in your midfield. And then it stood up by a host of white jerseys and driven backwards,.

"Two. I was football nerdy here. We go baby jordan. Rodrigue of the athletic reported for the la. It says this was late. July ram safety jordan fuller has open training camp with the green dot and he might keep it i. The green dot is the sticker on the back of helmets. Which indicates who has the mike's in their helmets was mike of helmets. There's the quarterback has a green dot on defense. There's two guys who can have green dot one on the field of all times. Georgia follows a year to sixth round safety out of ohio. State sued decisively. Not the sort of person who usually gets the green dot on and just you know second year sixth round all that's usually green dot and this is true for like twenty nine. Thirty teams in league usually agreed on on defense. Your mike linebacker is his middle linebacker. But last year renan's daily. The divas were for the rams gave to john johnson. And that's because that defense safety oriented that defense wanted to coverage first and then coverage would dictate the front and they wanted to be able to play aggressive confusing deceptive pass defense and they were the best defense in the nfl by country mile name brought in so much cool stop from vic fangio and from the college ranks and it is one of the most exciting defensive advances. We've seen the last couple of years staley so the chargers remorse comes in from the falcons new defensive coordinator for the rams there was a question. About how much was he going to. Retain in this. Rather unique defensive structure and unique defensive style he's a tampa to monte kiffin castoff with dan quinn cover three in atlanta. Had all these other influences. He wasn't a fangio disciple. The way brennan staley was jordan fuller. Having the green dot is a strong indicator that they're going to keep communication and terminology this same as they had on brandon. Staley which a strong indicator that raheem morris is going to keep that defense largely the same and jordan said in her piece. You said the rams linus. Few wrinkles overshadowed by morris have a largely play the same scheme they held under. Staley the one that earned the top billing. Nfl defenses last season so not only as a second year. Six round pick who only started because of injury had a great season. Is he becoming the leader of this. Very talented rams defense with a ton of big names but it is a strong indicator that remorse going to keep that brandon staley structure. And that's what the big deal is is that we've heard reports at eagles camp that they're stealing some daily front stop. Sean desai in in chicago is doing the fangio brandon staley suffering moores. Who does not have a background in. This defense is trying to steal concepts and terminology from this keep that structure the same this structure. This staley idea is going to in my opinion explode across the league in the same way that the west coast. Action under center sean. Mcvay cow shannon offense has recently exploded. Even if it's not your house you're gonna make it a shed you're gonna you're gonna bring stuff. You're going to graph ideas in from this family because he was working four to well especially against mcveigh offense to not otherwise do it. And and morrison john mcveigh's dedication to that is a strong indicator that i think other teams in the league are going to continue to see this defense exceed succeeded different teams different personnel in different ways. And it's going to start to really really are spread like wildfire. It's funny that. When sally was hired i think jordan was the one who had this quote. I if i'm wrong. But that they were looking for his sean mcvay on defense and he found him. That's amazing that's amazing that he found. The sean mcveigh defense. He was just like put took five minutes. Like this guy seems good and then he did it. Nora rams defense well. So here's here's the question because we're talking sort of thirty thousand foot view. How pervasive is this style of defense. Going to be in the nfl. This upcoming season going forward and and that's like a strong indicator given that the rams are are continuing to play in the same style. Even those days gone that they believe in it. They want to keep doing it. The rams have been trendsetters for years now so that all looks good. My question for you. Ben is how do you think this season given the changes in personnel particularly in that secondary and it safety and and the sort of star cornerback role where they've liked to dictate a lot of what they're doing from. Do you think that any of that is going to pose a problem for the execution of that or do you think that it The system is built to overcome that. Yes no one hundred cents going. Be worse Tuffy about the number one rhianna long one as well Yet the they've retained most of the town on the defensive line which is really important because foundational. You've gotta be able to play a gap and a half as staley would say you've got to be able to steal gaps with with a down lineman the potatoes of those guys. That's great In the second. Losing john johnson's and extremely big deal right in the previous green dot on the combo safety right when we talk about what this defense wants to do. It's a safety has to be able to do everything in this defense. Because if he can't do everything you can't lie to the offense priests nap and john. Johnson could do everything well. He wasn't particularly elite. That anyone but can do everything well. And so no matter where he lined up. He wasn't telling an offense anything. And that's how you kept quarterbacks guessing pre-snap made them do work post nap So johnson is very tough. They have taylor rap and jordan still southern gets a good safety group. But you have to make sure you replace that guy and then loss of troy hill means that. Now it's going to be harder to kick ramsey to the slot to that star position. Like you were talking about nora when you go into your nickel sets which is odyssey. Wear this defense wants to live. You don't have troy hill playing outside corner anymore. Robert rachelle was a fourth round rookie as a developmental player. They have a a a developmental. Second-year player. I forgive me. I can't recall his name To it's not the same corner. Depths gonna be hard to kick ramsey inside and i was obviously one of the biggest wrinkles the most successful wrinkles of this defense so yeah personnel is gonna step back. Also it's remorse his first time doing it and they were so good at first and second down living in base defense so that in third down they could chuck the kitchen. Saint gach brand. Staley brother had a lot of coffee on tuesdays and they would just make up suffer thursday. They did wild nonsense on passing downs. And if even if morris skin steal the blueprint. I'm not sure you can steal that that creativity and that ability to create answers on a week to week basis relative to your opponent. Apparently remorse makes a lot of really good jokes during camp though. That's what all the rams players like stanley on morris like basically the same their really fond great energy is just morris will make fun of you and your family and staley wooded how they love him like put out rented. Staley's jokes on blast family morris. Morris was like rips into ramsey. Every single day william morris is a deeply deeply funny person. I don't know that's Brennan sale is not catching strays here. None of us are funniest. Where he morris like none.

"One of the button and you does it. Otherwise i just throw it away. I i can't do much. Thank goodness for football. No i just want to jump in and talk about the secondary now. Because i see you in the offense versus defense period out here. Yup and you're on the sideline and your coaching up the secondary and that's got to be a group where there's a lot of competition because there were a couple of guys that were starters that left episode. What's going on with the secondary. And what kind of coaching i think of you as an offensive coach. Honestly kinda coach and you do just congratulate nor making sure whatever that call is defensively. We're kind of in alignment with our our techniques are fundamentals and our calls and communication. But i couldn't be more pleased with the leadership that i've seen from jalen ramsey. I'm really looking forward to watching. Various williams continue to build on a great campaign last year jordan fuller and his second year. You know expect him to potentially wear the green dot which is a real credit to the confidence and the communicator. That he is and so. I think rehim coach avro coach cooley. They've done a great job. But it starts with those players and jalen and outstanding job along with fuller of really leading. The way sean. You've been here a number of years. Now as i head coach. Where have you grown the most. I think it's i really know i've said this before. But i think it's continuing to rely on the people around. You know having trust in them being able to delegate when you're surrounded by great people you can really trust those guys. Hey great people right now this. La thing it's just great isn't it. i love it. But it's it's i think it's continuing to the you know preach the importance of being surrounded by great people. We talked about religion. But i could go on and on about our coaching staff. And then when you got the right key players in place you know you can lean on them and sleep better at night. We've talked to you about this a number of times over the years. You've always said that in the off season you gotta try to find more time to just do you. And i'm sure veronica feels that way as well crust besides the crust. What what did you do this off season. That allowed you just to be. You know what we went to mykonos for a week incongruous this year it was outstanding fun lot of good food a lot of but it must be answer and thereafter to step in getting down. You know what the liquid courage is real. It was fun. We had a blast. And then i think it's you know when you're and unplug lay. Let's let's be present. That's the big thing you know. Just be totally present. And whatever you're doing and that can just lead to living the life you wanna live. I mean it is pretty amazing when you take a step back and say this is what you do for a job i. I'm sure you guys feel the same way when you're enjoying it when you're using the platform the right way to pour into people positively good things can happen then you can just kind of be at the mercy of. Hey we want to do a lot of special things but hey let's shoot are shot. Let's not be afraid of whatever You know be afraid to fail and continue to grind and do our thing and enjoy it. While we're looking forward to talking to during the season they going to be on with us every week. So is that news to you as long as it's a limited time man i'm in fort limited. We can't even we we always. It's always fun. So i i much better senior you guys in person. It is last week though it is last week. Yeah where are you going man. We're not going to start with mykonos the first place..

"Of Michael Braugher's after the two yard gain. Makes the tackle for the Rams and the defense for the Rams. Michael Bracher, Sebastian Joseph Day and Aaron Donald along that three man front. Samson Ever calm and Leonard Floyd, the outside backers Kenny Young and Troy reader, the inside backers Troy Hill and the Excellent Jalen Ramsey a corner. John Johnson, the third and Jordan Fuller hologram safety, second down and eight of the 34 Yard line. Rogers in the gun with three receivers to his left, leaning in on his left foot awaiting the shotgun snap is Adam's emotion from left to right. Shot and snap comes in letter high. Rogers throws right side Adam's catching a 40 yard line and nudged out of bounds by Troy Hill at the 42 Yard line. Should be a first down for the Green Bay Packers. You know, when you started to introduce Aaron Rodgers it sound like you were introducing a heavyweight. Champion and on that last play champion, the Green Bay Packers kind of outline how this game is gonna work. They lined up three receivers on the left the Monte Adams, the inside receiver, He went in motion away from jail and Randy, so he's working his jab to start the Performance so far. Packers offense has scored 13 times this year on their opening possession, nine touchdowns. Four field goals, have a first down and give up the middle toe. AJ Dylan, on the rookie from Boston College, burst forward for nine and its second one is he nudges the football to the Rams, 49. AJ Dylan. Some eyebrows were raised when he was drafted in the second round, but you could see this big body. It's something that Defensive backs don't like to tangle with what's the temperatures get a little cooler because it's like trying to bring down a refrigerator that's rolling downhill at you. How often does a refrigerator rolled downhill it you well so far, once in the ball game second, one of the 49 yard line on its Jones, who gets to carry on the left side, and Jones, brought down by brokers of the first down yardage of the 46 yard line, picks up three to move the chains and the Packers, who have averaged more rushing yards per game this year. Since the 2013 season. It's been ineffective run game, they get another first down on the ground. You know, you would think that the Packers would be a team that just rolled up yard after yard after yard. They were fifth in total yardage, eighth and rushing, ninth and passing. You know, those numbers are in the top 10. But the thing that they did better than anybody else. They scored points, so even they're not in the red zone. But once they crossed midfield, they're thinking about scoring points on first down, Rogers three step drop those right side caught at the 40 yard line. Making a man Milson out of bounds of the 34 yard line goes Mark West. Valdas Scant. Ling picks up 12 on that first down toss from Aaron Rodgers and another Packer, first down. I made this note on my heat who helps carry the bucket. We know that heavy lifting a lot of times during the regular season was done by the bank by Davante Adams. But who else is going to step forward? Is it gonna be Robert Tanyon is gonna be Aaron Jones. Alan, those are we saw about this canceling on that play right there. The Great Snatch and run those down attendance 34 yard line Jones or Motion out with Davante Adams to the left of the line. Empty backfield. Rogers from the gun for Man ran Russ Rogers in trouble dances away throws and it's off the hands off Equity Mia ST Brown, who was crossing.
Advocates Call For Changes In Prisons To Reduce Inmates' Exposure To Coronavirus
"State prisoners have been significantly affected by the coronavirus. At least 220,000 of them have tested positive for covert 19 tight conditions and buildings make social distancing and controlling spread difficult. That is the case in Kansas, which has one of the highest infection rates among state prisons and with access to the vaccine, unclear Advocates are calling for changes to reduce exposure. No mean do you, dean of the Kansas News Service reports. Mary Flowers hasn't seen her daughter, Jordan Fuller, since July. Fuller went to county jail and then in October, she was transferred to the Topeka Correctional Facility. The states on Lee Women's prison. Kansas Prisons haven't allowed visitors since March to prevent the spread of the Corona virus. But that hasn't worked. The virus made its way into the state's prisons in April, 11 inmates and three staff members have died. 5000 inmates in the system have tested positive. It's awful to have a child in there, no matter their age, you know, even when they're 30 throughout the pandemic prisoners and Kansas have said social distancing is basically impossible. Everyone has masks. But not every inmate wears thumb. Not everyone reports their symptoms if they're feeling sick. And people are scared for their health and frustrated by new safety restrictions. Flowers says her daughter has been living in a tent in the prison's laundry building for more than seven weeks until all 60 new arrivals to the prison test negative at the same time. She says her daughter has been tested nine times and has been through four quarantines. They put these women in an impossible situation. You know they're being held where they can't even make it inside the prison. John Wesley O'Hara is a corrections officer at the Topeka facility, he says units go in and out of lockdown when someone gets sick. People still move from building to building and the prison hasn't been disciplining people, so it's hard to enforce mask wearing They were understaffed before the pandemic, But even more officers are out now because they're quarantining taking care of kids are working outbreaks at other prisons. The people who are left sometimes work 16 hour shifts. Harris says he tries to be careful and keeps mostly to himself outside of work. But when his roommate who also works at the prison, tested positive they had to miss Thanksgiving with their families. I had to call my ex wife and tell her I can't see my kids for the next two weeks. This is isolating work. Just by its very nature. Now you had something like this where you actually have to have that physical separation as well and the stress becomes 10 times Greater. The Kansas Department of Corrections declined interview requests. But in a statement, spokesman Randy Bowman said the department is working with officials to follow public health guidelines. Criminal justice advocates have said. That's not enough for months. They've argued the best solution is to release people so they can isolate Lauren Bonds is the legal director of the American Civil Liberties Union of Kansas. She helped sue the state to release thousands of inmates this spring. The suit was dismissed. But the A C L U is working on individual clemency applications for prisoners who are vulnerable to the virus. The only way to make sure that the transmission rates go down is to make sure that people in prisons can observe the same, You know, protocols that we're being told to observe out here in the community Governor Laura Kelly's office says she's still considering the requests. As for a vaccine, health care workers in Kansas prisons and jails will be among the first to receive it. But there's no news on whether inmates or other staff will be

Right? Obviously covert disrupted everything. But Tom Brady was practicing and in the back of the private school, we all know this. He was he was being that leader. At the Tampa Bay Buccaneers needed that that guy who's gonna be the beacon that everyone could look up to, when aspire to be like in his work ethic, a second to none. Yes, I know. He's 43 years old, but it's Tom Brady. Man. Look at him. Look how he works. Still, he still wants this. Oh, he's getting drunk out of retirement home, man. Tom Brady is the man. We got weapons go lore surrounding him. Whether we're drama, Jones is a really decent runner. Really Good runner. Mike Evans is one of the best wide receivers and football and Godwin and you know who knew that down the line. They would get Antonio Brown. But somehow don't you know that that was kind of always written on the wall somewhere, Antonio Brown was gonna enter. Into the equation. Your parent with Gronk. Well, Tom Brady, the temp, A buccaneer should be Super Bowl favorites. Hey, let's not forget about three or four weeks ago, A lot of us were saying that exact same thing. Campaign Buccaneers there, maybe be the best team in the NFC and for a while, look like they would be. Until something happens then and it always happens when someone has ah vulnerability. The eye in the sky don't lie and what's the eye in the sky? In the sky. Is that all 22 tape? It's that sideline tape back. It's just It's just the TV version of what we're seeing on Sunday afternoons or Thursday evenings or Sunday night or Monday nights Like we saw him last night. Who does that eye in the sky? What has it been telling you? In these primetime games that we've been watching Tom Brady and Bruce Arians and Byron Leftwich, the offensive coordinator, head coach and quarterback all respectively. What's it? What's it shown us? It's showing us that Tom Brady Maybe lost a little something. Maybe lost a little something that Bill Belichick Saul back in 2019. So he's okay with Tom Brady. Leave it. And what was that little something that he lost? The ability to throw and complete the deep ball. Now, this manifested itself twice last night, the first one, both intercepted by Jordan Fuller, by the way, and as a little caveat. I know you saw this, but Jordan Fuller. Was 199th pick out of Ohio State in the 2020 draft. Tom Brady was obviously the 199th pick in the 2000 draft. So there's a parallel here. The Jordan Fuller was a recipient of two of Tom Brady's most errant throws. The first one Gotta give Tom Brady a little bit of slack. Hey, didn't get a chance to follow through on this Throw is trying to hit Chris Godwin going across the deep over around got hit ball fluttered a little bit was intercepted by Jordan full. I mean, it's really a punt return intercepts that was in one of the easiest catches he'll ever Ever making his life. But I can't necessarily put that on Tom Brady. Unless you want to say, you know, the pressure would coming down your throat. You gotta get the ball out faster. Maybe if you overthrow Chris God one great but least you're not throwing an interception, but I don't put that one totally On Tom Brady. The second one and the last one is the more important one. And why is it more important? Because that was the game winning drive? We've seen this. How many times 1921 100, for Christ sakes with Tom Brady? Game winning drive. Game's on the line. You got 45 seconds. You got two minutes you get yet 12th whatever it is Tom Brady with the football with a chance to move his team in position to get a score to tie or get a touchdown to win. You just know that it's going to happen. You just You just feel it like there's like A. I don't know. There's like. Maybe it's a frustration because he always does it. You just know that it's going to happen unless you're rooting for him. And then it's an elation because you know what's going to happen. And Tampa Bay fans. They had to be feeling that last night, too quick. Pass the band band there on the 38 yard line. Bay Buccaneers, Man. They're grooving, Tom Brady. It looks like Tommy. Terrific, Tommy. Here it comes. Gonna lead this win against a very good Rams defense. In on Monday night Football. Gonna exercise this demon of prime time? Tom Brady is going to get it done. He's gonna get it done until he didn't and Bruce Arians head coach. He told us about it. At times we look really, really good. And then there are times when we obviously don't I felt very, very comfortable. And the two minute drive until that throw until that throat until that throw, which was a deep ball down the field and the last four games. Tom Brady has not completed a ball over 20 yards. Let me repeat myself in the last four games. Tom Brady has not completed a butt thrown football over 20 yards in the last four games. He's lost his ability to throw the deep ball. And why is this troublesome Because Bruce Arians who's the No risk it? No biscuit guy who likes to take shots down the field spread out on all spread out of defense by using these these vertical weapons that he that he has Push it downfield. Push it down field. We got guys who could make that 50 50 catch. Right, Chris? God wouldn't go get that when Mike Evans can go get that one. We've seen drunk. Get that 50 50 ball from 12 years in the National Football League. We we got the horses. To cover up for Tom Brady. The problem is you don't You don't in Tom Brady. It's interesting because I peril this to one of the other greats that we saw in the National Football League. Peyton Manning the second best least of our generation baby's third best, Alberto. Overall, who knows? Peyton Manning was a surgeon. He did the same thing that you saw Tom Brady deal. Get up to the line of scrimmage looking a defense laugh at it. Thank you know, fool me..

"Buckeyes build Conley Bill Saturday at the shoe. You had coverage pre and post. Did you see what you wanted to out of your Ohio State Buckeyes? I'll tell you what first game. You score that many points and they said, Well, we'll give you 52 points Cancer breast taken in today, but guys really came through soft performance both. Yeah, so both sides, So let's talk defense because it seemed like there was a little more concern. On that side of the ball. Then what did they do that you liked? Well, first of all, after the first drive of Nebraska. They only scored Corners on, Lee scored 10 points rested Angel. So really, I thought the one support from our secondary without standing there. Best wide receiver Wanda Rom's was practically non existent. You saw your gang tackling all those things. I think the difference is, you know, we've been cast scored with Bozo Brothers and Chase Shine weak that one star on the front but now its defense by committee And those guys up for a really did a good job. I thought Yeah, when you mean when you talk about Chase Young you talk about Jordan Fuller. I mean, rookies in the Ben F ell those two guys or, you know, Top three as Faras performance goes, so you're definitely thinking. There's gonna be some step back. So I mean, do you feel like Nebraska's offense was worthy enough that you can say Hey, these, these Buckeye defenseman look good because Nebraska is a worthy opponent. Yeah, I think the breast with their football team a lot. People were alive. I saw those you know, both of two quarterbacks. I'm not sure they shouldn't take McCafferty in movie into running back. That guy's a good football player, and they're solid football team. Their defense front is always good, and they're always A physical football team. But we matched the blow by blow. Bill Conley, our guest to talk in Buckeye football. So flip it to the Oh side. You know that there seemed to be a little concerned with the moving on of Of J. K that the backfield might not be as good and the fact that Justin Fields put up the quickest 40 number. You don't really want him running the ball a lot. What did you think of the running backs during Saturday? Yeah. I think you get the nail on the head there, Joel, Because you know, the one thing J. K Dobbins had was great vision. I mean by that, is he able to see a whole instantly and accelerate through it. We really didn't see that from the running backs. It's all from Jake. Winfield's obviously but you know, it's like Justin running the football. It's kind like you don't need a parachute to skydive, but you need a parachute to skydive twice. So you don't want that. You know you want it. History game will be in very long. Right and then so you know, there was all that churn about backup. Do you think right At the end of the game, we saw the definitive back up to Justin Field. I don't know that it would've been nice if we had had another Siri's or made putting miniseries earlier and seen. The other guy was going to shop because you can with the rules of eligibility. You can actually have those guys play. The one guy established himself. And of course, you know, Gunnar hope still there, too. So I'm not sure that's defined yet. Okay, Well, that's the thing. I mean, you're trying to figure all that out, God forbid, Justin Fields gets a pop. And has to sit out for a little bit. We're not really sure what's going on there. But again, you feel like 52 points out of the Buckeyes if they congenital ate that kind of offense. Through eight games. They're probably going to be okay because 52 points out scores. Um I mean, even looking at Penn State. They got upset by Indiana over the weekend. But if you feel like 52 points out scores literally everybody they got on the on the schedule. Oh, exactly right. Our defense will not give up 52 points in the football game and you look at Penn State the game. They should win that game. I mean, statistically, they were 488 yards to 11. Three Indiana But they had turnovers. They missed three field goals. Bad clock mangement me in the game. So you gotta play smart football to s O play that out. You know, we have a little fun with that earlier this morning. The Penn State Indiana. I mean right now, because in the end the one they go up to 17th in the rankings. Penn State is now 18th, given the fact that we've got to play them both over the next month. Do you feel like that sets Ohio state up to stay high in the ratings? If we take care of business at both places, or would you rather have seen Penn State win, and this weekend be more like a 363735 battle. It don't matter. As long as we win with schedule we have will be there doesn't matter doesn't matter. But guys win it all takes care of itself. You got it. All right, so play that forward then? Because I mean, you get by Penn State, and then you got Rutgers in Maryland. You're probably not. I don't care if you beat those guys. 100 to nothing. You're not moving up. So do you feel like three is going to be good enough. If the Buckeyes Khun just maintain that three hole get to the Thai Big 10 title game and then see what happens should be enough at nine, you know? Absolutely get them to get to that point New season. You're ready to win it all. Okay, so then play me this week because we know from Coach Meyer. We know from Coach Day there's there's always things that can work on and you know, watching that game. The Buckeyes weren't perfect. So there's things to work on. What will they be working on this week to get ready for Penn State? Well, the one thing you don't have to worry about crowd noise, so they were working on that, but they're working on the running game. You know, it's just a basic, You know the thing about house there so good, the basic techniques and fun milk again. You just stay sharp on those things. First game you expect on the stakes. We didn't have a lot of steak. Expect turnovers. We didn't have turnovers. So is one of those situations where we really play for the first game. Pretty much stake proof. We gotta go on. Do it again. It won't be happy Valley will be quiet Valley. It's um It's the kind of thing no coach when you really talk about that. I mean, it's going to be a different environment. I think the players are getting used to that. But you know, it's just up a notch. You know you're just up. The caliber of your opponent is up a notch. They're gonna have to be hung because if they lose this one, I mean the sea. It's over. They got no chance. So this is really make her break. Do or die. Every cliche you can think of. I mean, you know you're going to get Penn State's best shot, but they're probably going to be trying even a little harder. This week because you really don't want to start the season owing to Yeah, But let me say something. You're going to go. How states Best shot. If you're Penn State, you come here to play Football house that you wanna bring it every week played a high caliber. She don't worry. You always say that the coach and it's so true. You can't worry that much about the other guy worried about what you have to do. And so you feel like just going to be more of Justin Fields and Maura that swarming D And that should be good enough to take care of Penn State. Yeah, As long as we get the running backs run a little harder and a little better will be okay..

"That is the morning find Yoo mi amigo. Uh, terrific. Could you say that one more time? That game time is tomorrow at noon. So sweet? Yes, It's been a long time Coming. It's fun. Last time on buck Sling. You guys were Minson through it. And you and Bill neither one sound terribly concerned about this year's team. When there are frankly a lot of question marks on the defensive side of the ball. Well, I think that you know, we talked about strengths and weaknesses last night and one of the weaknesses If you want to find one on any team and the Buckeye team would be in the secondary and You know, having Sean Wade come back after he had declared himself for the NFL, uh, and decided to come back to the team, I think made a huge difference there, but still is going to be three new bodies. In that secondary the front seven. Joel. I think there is good as Ohio State's had for a long time. Now. We don't have that chase young guy yet, but I think that we've got the potential to be a really good defense, but once again in 2018 This Buckeye defense set a record that we're not really proud of. And that was one That was the number of big plays 20 plus yards were allowed was an all time record against this defense, which was no good. In 2019. They fixed it and we'll see what happens in 2020. You know, you got some big shoes to fill a mean Jordan Fuller is gone. Chase Young is gone. No worries at all for you. No, I don't think so. I think that the defensive staff is sound. I think that the Fremen athleticism um we're probably on paper really, really good and capable. But again, you gotta play is a unit of flight of the ball. And I think with the addition of Carrie Combs on the sidelines and his level of, uh, craziness that he brings to the table intensity will not be an issue. Yeah, craziness pretty much sums it up. So you know when you look at that You know? Know what you know about Justin Fields, Crystal Ave. I mean, you know all the weapons. I mean, even the even the freshmen. The nub's that are coming out on the side of the ball. I mean, they're just off the church. Good. So, I mean, even if it got to a point, Jeff, where we as the Buckeyes were having to kind of outscore our opponent something you know, putting up 50 60 points. Really isn't beyond their capability at all. No, I joined this team has the ability clearly to be able to put points on the board. I mean, look, what Justin feels did a year ago in his first year is a starter, a quarterback and It was absolutely spectacular. And then probably the thing that was most impressive was his interception ratio was so low. I think he only threw three picks last year for the entire season, which is remarkable playing the opponents that he had to play, but he did lose three big receivers in K. J. Hill, Austin Mack and Benjamin Victor. No. Those guys accounted for 19 touchdowns in 119 catching so, Krystle lava and a bunch of guys that people were gonna have to learn their names are gonna be the new receiving corps. S so that will be important in the run. Game Two is brand new because we lost J. K. Dobbins to the NFL, and now you've got the 50 year graduate transfer trade. German who was a Anoke, Oklahoma running back who was transferred to Ohio State. And he along with Master TV, You're going to be the one to guys in the back field. Yeah. Do you get any sense at all? That either of those two guys, Khun, Step up like J. K didn't mean J k was off the charts. Good. And I'm not saying he didn't get some love. But he never seemed to get the love that I thought he he he interned. I mean, he he was crazy. Good. Well, he really wants to have 2000 yards rushing last year, and nobody really even noticed I in my opinion on, I think part of that was because of the extraordinary play of our quarterback Justin Fields. I mean, he was the one that got a lot of that attention. People like the deep ball. They like to the You don't see that ball being thrown all over the place. But J. K Dobbins was a workforce back there. First running back in history. Ohio State Joel in his first three seasons to rush for 1000 yards, and each of those first three seasons, and I hope we will remember J. K. Dobbins. Finally, for a long time, no doubt, no doubt. I mean, he was Stand up and the good guy and all of it, Jeff Logan, our guests were talking Buckeyes, part of the best Buckeye coverage here on NewsRadio, 16 W TV. And, of course, our game day coverage will start at 90 clock going to be at the raising Kings broadcast balcony at the point on Lane Avenue. It's going to be kind of weird, though, Jeff, you know, were used to gain days being gone so crazy with 100,000 plus in the stadium and probably at least 1.5 times at people milling around outside. It's largely going to be a ghost town tomorrow. It's going to be really weird, I think, and you know, I've had a little bit of exposure to this having done high school games where they've had limited crowds. You can't compare a high school football game to an Ohio State game for sure, but On the other hand driving down there on a Saturday morning and you know, not seeing the the Jazz that's going on all around. He's going to be a whole lot different and not having to worry about parking. Well, you know, that's a great question way haven't resolved that one yet, but I'm sure that we'll find some place to be able to part but it won't be the same issue that we've had in the past. But I think these players were so keen on getting themselves into a game situation. Joel the only thing that they can remember their last Competition was losing to Clemson 29 to 23. That one is sticking in their craw. I can promise you. Yeah, there's no doubt about it..

"Well, now we got an opportunity to show it against the division rival in the Rams, a team we have a great respect for They're really hot coming as a team, and when you watch him, they're playing with a great rhythm. There's just like a, uh everything's connected with the way their operating. They run the ball. They run the boot off the run, and you can see they're just a very rhythmic team. They've got a new coordinator at defense, but their plan like they've lived in this scheme for a while, there it not all cylinders and and so we've got a big challenge. But, you know, I think we should have confidence. We beat this team twice last year. We had to earn it each time and we understand that we understand the challenge in front of us, But, you know, I keep saying it, but I'm looking forward to how this team is going to respond and see if we can't find ourselves. All right, John. Obviously everything quarterback touches the ball every play. So how How's Jimmy's ankle eyes? You ready to go? And and I guess, do you guys have some regret about how you evaluated his ankle last week? Um Yeah. You know, I'll attack the first question. I You know, I think there's always this You know what a conundrum or whatever your deal with where every game we talked about it. How important each and every game, miss. And so you know, the most important thing when you're evaluating is a guy ready to play it. Do the doctor's Clara that doctors clear Jimmy he was ready to go. They felt like he could protect himself. Practice kind of the evolution of practice last week Wednesday and look so good Thursday, he came back feeling much better Friday, He felt good as the weekend went on, he felt ready to play. Uh, unfortunately, you know, I think it was the very first Siri's on the third down. He got hit low at the end of the play and just the way he responded. The way I saw him kind of gingerly was kind of on one leg, and it just it didn't look right and I think that affected his ability to rotate. Don't throw the ball effectively. Not an excuse just again. What I what I saw in the field, you know, But then Jimmy's a competitors come came back, made some nice throws early in the game, and so you feel like all right, he's in it. But then it just it never materialized. And I you know you you can't forget who we were playing. We're playing someone from the Brian Flores from the Bill Belichick tree and you know when, when you have something like that they're going to attack it. You saw what happened the way they attacked our secondary situation. That's how that school of coaching have their taught when when there's something that they perceive it as an opportunity or they're going to test something. They're going to test it, and they're going to test it in there. Tested until you do something about it. And, you know, ultimately with Jimmy. You know, I think we saw in the late in the second half. He threw a couple interceptions. But you know, Kyle saw him. Not being right. And, you know, made a decision to get him out and of, you know, the good news is again he came back out better. The practice week has looked good. You know, I think we learned a good lesson. That practice can look good. And then the game some completely different. So I think we're confident and more confident this week in Jimmy's ability, go play at a high level, but he's gonna have to show us you know, come game time that that he could do that. All right. There's John Lynch. Now we keep it with the Niners and head over to our man and NBC sports areas as well. Maddie Mayo Co. He was on with pop in line today on these sports later. Tell me you guys were two experts in the field. Tell me what these names Have in common, Jordan Fuller. Trayvon's Howard. And Joe Noteboom. You are all members of the Los Angeles Raines, who were drafted ahead of who No, Morales are the those are the on ly Los Angeles Rams on Inner greaser I r 13? Yeah. 13 just so So there is so little doors. Compare that raven Howard and Joe Noteboom. Yeah. I mean, they're you know, they're I'm sure they're really nice people and everything. And then you look at what the 40 Niners. You know, look at their injury injured reserve. So anyway, that's uh I hate to bring up injuries. But so far, you really can't talk too much about the 40 Niners without hell noting what they've gone through and you know, last year we talked a lot about next man up, and it's gotten to the point where there's just no next man to be up. For the team. Does that justify or is that an excuse for their performance last week against the Dolphins? Of course not, But this is a greatly diminished 40 Niners team That's going to be going into a Sunday night matchup against the Rams team that's playing pretty good football. Yes. So the scores 13 to 3 40 Niners about your losing that game. 40 Niners have 13 players on I r. I know it was last week when they added 12 and 13. The most in the league, and they're gonna be putting more players on I r so But I also you know, you got guys that are on I r and you could move the moon over the roster around. But then when you have guys that are not Hurt sufficiently or the level where you going? I r them than it does. In fact, what happens on game day and I do want to get your thoughts about a color Witherspoon. Because you know you're on 40. Niners Postgame live and Dante went off and we had him on the next day, and he called him soft and I still don't think he's going to be involved in the secondary now but to me having a color Witherspoon in one of the outside corners, you could move. Emanuel, mostly hoping that he's officially over the head trauma met inside to play an angle and they'd have Jason Read on the other side. You have your three best corners on the field still As opposed to Jamaar Taylor, and I'm worried about him matching up with Cooper cop in this game. I think that's a mismatch. So where we at with a killer Witherspoon started last year. Pick six Jamis Winston. He played well in Cincinnati. He got hurt against Pittsburgh, and then he was out for a while came back. He played. He got benched. He played. He got benched. He played. He got benched. The whole deal, And now he's in the final year of his contract. We do have a trading deadline coming up on election day. So where? Where is the organization? At where the killer Witherspoon? Do you think? Well, I mean, I don't I don't see any scenario where he's back out Miss team next season. And I think that the scenario with the 40 Niners cornerbacks are Right now. There are two healthy eyes. Playing the quarterback position for the 40 hours. That you know will be in the NFL a year from now, and that's Jason varieties playing pretty well. And if you're mostly Witherspoon Is probably going to want. Weatherspoon will be on a different team next year, and he'll have to earn his way, probably on a one year contract. But I just don't think the party and I feel really confident. That there's a reliability factor with the killer weather smoke from everything that Robert Salas calcium and said they went into last week, putting together their game plan to face the Miami Dolphins with the belief that killer Weatherspoon was going to be out there and playing And he's obviously cleared by the medical staff to play and then it kind of falls on the player a little bit and the coach to kind of figure out the level of confidence that the.

"Center snaps the ball. Everyone's standing up and they just bulldoze Clemson's defense on what an awesome schemed up play. Then there was another example in the past game. I think the next play where the pass breaks breaks down on a huge escape under duress by Justin fields with a scramble for a big gain and they immediately go tempo. They shot the cage hill and it was dropped their broken up. Whatever you WANNA call it I mean it was certainly broken up to some extent but I will say that is a play that Caja makes ninety percent of the time huge? Play in hindsight when you watch his drive layout so call it a dropped. Call it a broken up pass either way. That is a play that I C K J making ninety percent of the time they'll have stay stays with tempo and venables can't can't get subs and it changes their third and nine thirty four. Now they can simply hand it to master teague and he powers I down another checkmark Ryan Against Brent Venables I down they take a shot to Austin Mac at the goalpost and in a game of inches. It is just out of bounds. Great throw phenomenal catch. We're talking six inches inches from a touchdown. Oh Hindsight's twenty twenty isn't it the foreshadowing second down. They have the perfect call. You can't have a better coal clemson brings a blitz. They call a slip screen. It's a walk in touchdown and Jake has his second costly costly drop. third-down was well covered fields. Get stuck on Ben. Victor and didn't read the play out. He's Ben Victor on a full field progression. Just get get stuck there and has to throw it away again. Three points for the Buckeyes had he read it out. I think you had an uncut and a and a post on the backside by Chris Alavi. One of them would've been six the score. Sixteen to nothing at this point should be twenty four. Nothing if you ask me if Jay catches the pick play and then the other series series K J hill or jk Dobbins catch the ball on the fifth drive. You're talking about two touchdowns. Instead of two field goals was inevitable fugel. The score should have been twenty four nothing. The first drive was just a poor finish. And that'll happen. You can't say should have been twenty eight nothing no it should enough. It definitely should have been twenty four nothing but that first drive. Dr Clemson stopped Ohio State. You can't just say it should have been twenty. Because they got close Clemson stopped will have stayed on the first drive. Three drops cost eight points in the final score. That would've been a difference maker next. They looked terrible travis city and couldn't run the ball Miss Communications in the past game. Their offense is essentially run Trevor Lawrence which Buckeye fans know all too well with the days. That won't win the big game. And then Sean Wade comes up with a huge sack to force fourth and fifteen and sh- rattles trevor Lawrence. We all know what happened there and I won't spend too much time on it because the officials got it right. It is a bullshit rule. It's been a bullshit. Rule targeting was intended for the Oklahoma. Hit hit that objected. Buki that's what targeting is for the only thing you could say is targeting one of the stipulations Ford Ford to be targeting is the the ball carrier has to be defenseless and Trevor Lawrence certainly was tucking the ball and ducking and was not defenseless defenseless. That's the only thing you can say other than that Sean Wade lowered lowered his head hit with the crowd. His helmet went helmet-to-helmet. That is an injection as the rules. State it so don't be visit. The refs be pissed. It the rulemakers it does need to change. It's outrageous. I mean it's not even football anymore. For what Sean we did. That is day one football a sack the quarterback curls up and you you hit them art but if it was Ohio Ohio state and it was flipped. We'll have state fans would be saying he went helmet-to-helmet. That's an ejection. And then you watch. What happened? Sean he gets injected. Amir reap comes in by the way who I played really well but in his first series at a little nervous and as expected clemson immediately takes a shot on him goes for a touchdown. Tries to throw a touchdown down enemy repossess. Pi Penalty still stalls. Clemson out gives the third down and then Travis at the end shows the player that I've said he was all year in a lot of people have said he wasn't right. You guys listen to other shows. Pay attention to the media or people that think there in the media. They're trying to say he's not that good. He's not better than Jonathan Taylor. He's not this not that. If you watch that play he is he is that they stole. CLEMSON out. Get the third down Jordan Fuller forces a cutback was it. A missed tackle by Jordan Fuller. Absolutely but what happened. Was Tyler Friday and really the whole Defense Taylor. Friday specifically had a horrible pursuit angle. And you cannot do that with Travis. That's yet you can't when he goes to cut back because Jordan Fuller takes away the that stretch to the outside there has to be someone in his ear hole not running to the pylon where he can cut back underneath them. which is what China Friday? They did horrible pursuit angle. Sixteen seven Clemson now. The momentum has turned a little bit not only because because of the ejection not only because of the penalty not only because of the Pi but then because of poor pursuit. You can't stack three mistakes. On top of each other like that or momentum will shift then then as predicted with a momentum football game will how it goes three and out there to negative yardage runs the momentum Menem and swagger on defense was different from Clemson at this point now in the game. They are taking Ohio states ass upfront. The line of scrimmage ages going in Clemson's favor every snap then the next day or the next series. Click the ball back. And that's when you see. Trevor Lawrence have a huge sixty seven yard. Run for a touchdown and it's a lot like I talked about with Jalen hurts when you play man coverage gets a quarterback that can run and I get a lot of people didn't know trevor overlords could run man coverage everyone's back to the ball and both Sharon Brown and me Carson run with travis at yen so there's no whole player no spy or Russia Integrity for quarterback scramble or draw Josh proctors completely out of control misses the tackle because he didn't have his cleats in the ground. And here you watch that six foot six long haired son of a gun. run down the sideline for sixty seven yards and a touchdown. The next drive Ohio state comes out with an entirely different given offense a plant. The land scrimmages on the other side. Now they're actually moving clemson and then they start doing that bullshit seven-man pro three man routes else. I can't stand it and I've talked about it all year. I just don't like it. Second down is a three man rush. You had three receivers trying to find a window with eight eight men in coverage it's not going to happen not against a defense like that then on third down the off his line of Master tieger stuffed stays. He's another three and out so now's the end of half an all. Momentum shifted one of the best players on the BUCKEYES team is watching the game in the Locker Room and J K Dobbins is not one hundred percent minimum stakes this far but that will change in the second half. Now tell you this Ohio State Specifically Damodar Ornette and Jeff Okuda. They come out second half and don't allow clemson anything. The first drive enforce a point one of the biggest plays of the game was when we'll L. Spears punt that rolls out and his downside to five and what a day that kid at seven points average almost forty five yards a punt. He flipped the field that was difference maker in the game game. So here's your goal on offense any offense you get the ball in the five year goal is not to drive ninety five yards of score. Obviously you'd like to do that. Obviously that is a hope. But your goal the your objective that you must get accomplished as you have to get to first downs and then get the ball out of that. Backed up area and flip. The field in Justin Stanfield did that with his arm on first down. He had a nice throwing catch. Ben Victor then hit a strike to Caja Hill in the middle of the field and it was mission accomplished then the end end up getting a great punt from drew. Kristen and it's down by Chris Alavi and Clemson his pin at the one yard line. That is all that you can ask for when you're backed up like that now a lot of people are gonNA say. JK was banged up. That's why the that was a huge problem right. The run game struggles were because Jay had a banged wind up ankle. And I'll tell you after watching the film that wasn't the issue. The momentum front was entirely different after those first four or five drives. The run game was was getting stuffed. And the line of scrimmage getting pushed in Clemson's favor I don't care how healthy was I don't care who's taking the ball from Justin fields. If the line of scrimmage scrimmage is in the wrong direction it's not going to be a good day running the ball. So clemency cleanse the ball in Ohio state holds Clemson at the fifteen and it looks like there's there's GonNa be an opportunity for fields in the offense to get great field position. This was field position plan to win football at its finest two first downs punt the ball. Pimento stop at the fifteen. Now you're looking at getting the ball at midfield to score. The percentage of scoring touchdowns goes from like two or three percent at the five yard line and to like forty to fifty to sixty percent around the fifty. That's a huge advantage. And then they rough the punter it. It was a critical error not in scheme not in aggression. That's what Ohio State had to do to win the game and you've watched it pay off you've seen blocked punts you've seen it affect the game in you know how states favor but what happened that. I don't know if it was not taught but being a punt block coach you have to teach is they brought there's zone side of the punt demand side so zone zone side. They all blocked towards the center. When they do that you have your guys rushing the punt chase the heels to make it hard for the next guy outside to block them? And you see Chris Alavi get off scot-free the guy didn't touch him and Cameron Brown comes off the edge. What happens if you get two guys coming off? The edge is there is not room for both of them to come around the shield and blocked the punt so the outside guy as he's rushing has to see that Alavi got free three and asked to pull up Cam. Brown didn't do that and I'm sure he wasn't taught that. So he ends up getting forced into the punter by Chris Lava because two guys are free off the edge of the shield now. We can debate all day long was running into the kicker roughing the kicker I actually think it was running into the kicker which would not give them a first down. So that's that's that's a splitting hairs. Call right there. I mean you really have to. If you're going to rely on a roughing versus running into the punter call. You're going to blame Matt for losing a game. You really have are not paying attention to the game but Roughing the punter means that potter could have been injured like it was that bad of a An an a instance and occurrence and in this scenario I think cam rebound just hit him as he was in the area fell down. It should have been running into the punter. But that's it is a huge difference it would've impacted with the game but you you live with that but plays like that shift momentum even further and two plays later Travis Eddie and showed everyone what I've been talking about. They couldn't get the run game. So what Jeff Scott and.

"Eleven second secular ball game while state Patterson was in trouble because of it wasn't able to it it was gonna be John at the Cooper if it would've been Cooper it would eventually see on those three guys I had an opportunity at Hamilton missed out playing second down to twenty one with a twenty five yard line Patterson of the gun we received was left one right the past was hoping to get closer right side that's trying to get to celebrate a flight goes down she's young made contact with matter so this might be a weapon the passer penalty on your well you know since young ones that sad we've been close a couple times personal home roughing the passer sixty seven fifteen the previous automatic first down landers he was known for the front side young was covered with all sorts of landers that gets called for roughing the passer six except the penalty against Ohio state the whole head all the way out to be for your daughter Patterson back of the shot gun three receivers left one right Patterson back with rowlie what's the fires of the middle and that one is dropping a flight goes down please hold your big deal that is hands on it but he got whacked by Jordan fuller and flags go down and is this going to be eight or getting pelted the I think it's going to be a look like the back judge was sick making that signal as he was running in after they threw the flag and blew the play dead with a with a personal fall targeting defense number four what is alright let's see I just saw the first replay just based on one look I don't know that this is targeting yeah Jordan fuller comes.

"Think Jordan fuller probably should have picked up all of that's going to be kicking himself for Clifford for that ball up in the air because he was getting drilled by Vera Browning right in the rib cage you came to the late blitz did the linebacker well time to force an errant throw the shipment picked off to love one right side and mostly behind all the luck no they could see the room for the movie to have loads and then got thirty long upcoming now at the thirty six yard line so you throw the ball incomplete you get a couple in the world the next thing you know you're behind it thirty long here's here is to make the tackle and I'll probably say it every thirty long because anytime number to chase young is on the field the third along situation you got to have a plan for minority I see about their right tackle with no assistance from anyone running back on that side to the tune to receive was late one love look for the sign at the local hurry young is on the move tools on the the to the blade he is intended for Johnson and another flight school year for Clifford another blast in the backfield Tyler Friday teaming with chase young in the liver the law on Clifford I always love kind of feeling out early in these games what the game plan is from a certain team and it seems to me like the game plan a great mass of this Ohio state defense is to he offered up to try to bring pressure on his face we're.

"On the road the black guys with ninety seven rush yards in the opening quarter ninety one coming on their first drive did you know Penn state most rushing yards allowed in the first half of this year was eighty six in the first half the buffalo they got a house the middle putting drive but now their offense is checking into gear down seven to nothing but they're on the move we shop the second quarter back in the horseshoe of Columbus to the vet seven demerit Jones here Sean Kelly thank you very much allow state is scored an average of twenty point three points in the second quarter this season most in the country the votes with opponents Vergil's here in this particular quarter two or three to twenty doesn't get set for the second quarter today it's certainly been their dominant quarter and they've really been dominant pretty much every quarter this year this is kind of when they put teams away I think got a feel for in that early frame but I like what I've seen so far because their this drive they got to capitalize a gill net turnover they received as a gift by a high stay with a formal role in the end zone pick it up and then we'll see if they can finish off with the points hence the number we want to love first and ten at the Ohio state thirty nine yard line seven nothing but guys Clifford takes the snap thanks to military rules he pulled down the left side the double coverage is not doing a good deal Jordan fuller almost to the chance for the reception Newman is thirty years well I think Jordan fuller probably should have picked up all of that's going to be kicking himself for Clifford for that ball up in the air because he was getting drilled by Vera Browning right.
