"Shape athletes they can handle it. And they get paid more than anybody else. So those guys should be ready to get. They almost make what you do. Mr Smith. They almost wished that was a case. Absolutely we'll game one of the NBA finals tonight and looking forward to that one Lebron on a quest for his fourth ring, his tent finals appearance. I know we we differ greatly on our opinion of Lamar on. I think he's the greatest to ever do it I know that you do not You don't particularly love him but I think you do respect his talent and what he's accomplished. Reflect. Talent Kate nothing away from him. He is fun to watch. He's entertaining He's not he's not and never will be Michael Jordan it that's not in close to me. That's not even a close debate. I grew up a Michael. Jordan Fan and I would say that when Lebron came back from down three one. To the Golden State Warriors that's the point in which I said, this guy is the greatest When you look at his longevity, how long he played the game some of the teams that he's taken to the finals it gets knocked for three and six finals record and and you can say six ring, six rings Michael Jordan had six rings. But when you look at what Jordan had, he had the stability of the greatest coach of all time arguably the greatest number two of all time and Scottie Pippin a front office that always got him players. You know Jerry Krause was for all intents and purposes jerk in Jackass but he always had players in that building. You can argue that Jordan had a better will to win and intensity and I think that's the biggest argument for the Jordan debate I know in you and I have had this debate. That's your. That's your go-to essentially as that Jordan was just more dog. A George. There he was much more a dog and and here's the other thing is Jordan had Scottie Pippen, and that's all we had. He made he made to though he made Steve Kerr Ma Luc. Longley Bill. Wennington the. List goes on the ED Rodman for awhile but even before Robin and they are winning that's Kinda team head and so Lebron he goes to Cleveland he goes to Miami goes to La and everywhere he goes it's always the same freaking story every time as well. He's got players around him. Murray doesn't have enough. We gotta go get more I. Don't know if you're that good it. You'd make the players around you. You do it what you got and go win games and I just I don't see it. My counter to that is if you look at the season that he left the first season, the full season he missed. When he went to play baseball and ninety four that team still won over fifty games made the playoffs and you know they took a step back obviously but they didn't take the kind of step back that Lebron's teams do after he leaves I mean you're talking about both times he left Cleveland they go from you know finals appearances in championship to winning less than twenty games a year. So I don't buy that whole argument I think that Lebron elevates talent around him probably at least as much or more than Jordan does I think when the final book is written if we're comparing stats were comparing win scoring. Defensive Titles Championship appearances I, think that you can make a good argument for Lebron and look I'm not. I'm not GonNa sit here and say that the that the majority of people are ever going to admit that Lebron James is the greatest to ever play There's an affinity for Jordan that is just never going to to be surpassed. It's a combination of his branding of his shoes You know many people think Jordan's the goat they never were alive to watch him play and so I I, don't. Live under a, you know a false hope that everyone's GonNa one day say, Oh my God and they're gonNa put Lebron. James in this category because it's a different era of basketball but the thing about Lebron James is he plays all five positions to it.. He's in his seventeenth season, and now he's transitioned into a point guard and one of the best point guards we've ever seen he could play all five positions He can elevated team he he's just to me he's the best all around player I've ever seen. Too many Georgia could do the same thing though I saw Jordan new multiple different position. She took over his point guard numerous times in his career. So Yeah Libron look hats off the Brian Today's NBA to play as many minutes. He is it his age in the seventeenth year is really something. So I really don't want to take it away it but a, we're having a goat debate a just when I'm looking at the Jordan and a look at the. Some of the one season Jordan took offer a baseball that team was still intact from what Jordan did I mean, that was the same team essentially and Scottie Pippen was a nice win eight at your. Oh for sure but I mean. I don't I. Don't think that Michael. Jordan could've taken matthew, delbra dove, and some of these Cleveland Teams to the finals. The way that Lebron has look we could just agree to disagree on that but. I think that if you had given Lebron a coach even half as good as Phil Jackson, the same coach for the the meat of his career sure. He had different coaches early on but you know once he got the structure is when he started winning, he couldn't get past the bad boy pistons until he got a coach in Phil Jackson. Well. That's true. But now the four batch did team with Doug. Collins was still very good team and I don't know. We didn't have enough time to really see how that team were developed because they can't let they went under Phil Jackson Pretty Quick. That was a surprising move when it happened and Doug Collins and not done anything to deserve to lose his job. That was still a really good team. Yeah. They were good team but they didn't get over the hump. They didn't get to the finals. They didn't win the championship and I think when you look at what Phil Jackson has done in Chicago as well as Los Angeles is a it's not even arguable that he's the greatest coach in the not at all they I would never ever. Yeah, I would never argue, but I would just look at the other side with in Chicago and say, Collins I don't know what this team would have done with kamikaze never got a real chance to develop this team as it was because they moved gone for him kind of quick to fill jaques. Right and and look I didn't mean to habits in minute debate on the goat I wanted to get it. I wanted to get into the game. Finals tonight, where the Lakers are heavily favored they're heavily favored Most people are saying four or five games. Max did hear one person say Miami and seven. I think it's I think it's going to be Lakers and five maybe six I really liked this heat team and the thing I like about the most is They don't have one or two superstars there really are a team and I don't think that's going to be enough to get it done against Lebron Eighty. While augury. I think Miami, you've got Jimmy Butler, and that might be about it. Offense is far as playmakers. I think when you look Anthony Davis Lebron James that list goes on teams very good or loaded and the way they're playing right now on the way they played last here especially in the last few weeks of its there really haven't been close for. The most part. So I think you're right your like Lakers and five seemed right to me although Miami's they have surprise some people err exposures a really good coach I've been a leslie spas by him and I'm wondering you know the Dynamic Lebron play in Miami where he came from an ESA to him. Nice. got a main a little more. So They should see it missile they do. It adds a level ADS dynamic for sure and the one thing I'll say about the Miami Heat is eight. You know they have some dogs on that team and they fight and they really have the Camaraderie.

"With whoop today. All right. Joining us now is a five star, our second five-star Tate that we've had on the show. This is where we are five stars only here on the program. Here's the number one recruit in the state of Tennessee I'm calling it. He is from the class of twenty, twenty two. His name is Sky Clark Sky I wanNA start with this your name Sky Clark that'd be awesome name it is a fantastic name. A great name in the world of basketball almost field like Lebron you have Zion Luca now like sky is a one name name How Much Do you feel that? Like? What's it like having a name like Sky Clark Nice, this is amazing because you could do so much things with it and I've been trying to create a low. and. There's just so much. You can do with sky and the fact that I can jump so. was there ever a point in your life where you didn't like your name like did you get picked on when you're like in kindergarten guys that's a weird name or anything like that our. Cool have your friends always have cooled I'm I'm pretty quiet ask lawyer. No me like the loudest person but. I've never had a problem with it. I've always loved it. And Sky we have to ask you just mentioned this you were you said with your name, you're trying to create a logo of some sorts I. Mean you're a five star recruit twenty, two, twenty, two classes of people that don't know and you have the there's not just the basketball that matters now, right there's the whole show that goes along with this the building of. The brand you talked about your own logo, you have sky I'm Jordan Fan. So you know I and flight a- jumped man of swords can jump into that mode if you need to. But what is it like to have to build a brand in your mind while you're also trying to figure out who you are as a person and as a basketball player at the same time? Is Fun because it also like you said a trying to find yourself with a person. It really helps you find yourself with a person just. Because, you really gotta think like what you love to do what you want to represent in all that. So it's been a fun is when we got some stuff in the works that I'm trying to get out. So well, one of the things I read was that you're close with Gilbert Arenas. And he has bequeath the nickname Hibachi to you. Is this correct. You're not alongside assume it's correct. How does that work is do you have to apply for that? Does he deserve a review board Gilbert Arenas, Lake because I imagine there are a lot of guys that Gilbert Arenas knows and they're like Yo. Let me let me take over agent zero or who botchy or whatever else. You're not good enough but you are good enough. You've earned the right. So how did that whole thing? How does that work? Will we actually before I started playing basketball, we live across the hallway from each other an. Apartment Complex. Across Gobert arena located in well second third grade in him. My Dad became good friends and then. Me and my siblings became best friends with their sibling with their kids and saw we would always be over at their apartment. They will come with ours. It was literally like a two step will off it was the right across the hall. And then I started working out with him when I was a freshman. And we play one on one and I beat him. You. Know. What I would say those does so yeah, it really it was just earned. Yeah. I'm just curious in general because this happens with a lot of guys that are as good as you in high school. Suddenly you hear about guys that become friends with. Or are being mentored by former NBA players you. Guys? Find their way into. Five Stars live and I'm I'm fascinated by that because the guy who I played basketball at a decently high level but I sucked and there is never a moment in time we're like I grew up in Indianapolis runner test was on the Pacers use awesome. Ron Tests wasn't calling me to like workout shots up and like you know like I didn't have that relationship with. So I'm always fascinated sky. Like, how does that work we're lay like? Obviously the case of said, he moved lived across the street from what I know that either you have relationships with other NBA players and other guys are you know you talk to them? They're mentoring you do they reach out to you reach out to them guys kind of meet at like camps you play like open gyms together. How does that kind of happen? Yeah usually. Outside, it's like a back and forth like most of the time I'll take in just like. Ask, Jim or something how they'd been sometimes, it takes me. Another person I'm really close with his rod strickland. Rather God yes, he was. He was a killer for those who know in a yeah. It's Exim is giving him points. We don't live in the same state or anything I haven't been able to work within but when I. Definitely. Be doing that. We have to ask you mean, you turn out these names, Gilbert Arenas, probably someone that you grew up in salt play basketball but ride I guess rod to I mean. But what is the sort of time line for you like what is the age group of players that you look up to the you're like I wanna be like so and so I want to be like Kobe Bryant I. Think we've seen the Kobe. Bryant's one of your favorite players is that more of your air like t MAC Vince Carter Kobe early two thousand era or is it more to you? Would you say point to a Russell Westbrook James Harden? Like what? What what kind of group of guys you look up to as your idols? Basque. Boy I guess my favorite era is eighties ninety s what yeah. I think you're going to be successful Sky I. I read your big two-part guy to are you. Do, you have bursar. Daniil Monte. Situated. Guy I saw you love to fish as well and I'm like this guy like thirty three like what is going on here? My parents they raised me like I was born in Minnesota. and. My parents raised me that way we we grew up fishing I grew up on old school music. So I know all those go rap songs. Will jazz songs like back to like fifty sixty s rocks Miami. So, yeah. The kids are alright. That's what we're learning. The kids are alright. Let's give some back on for those who might not know you. They're going to quickly learn to to know you are you just recently announced? You're finally schools your finally is in no particular order I'm going to order the graphic you put out Tennessee State Memphis North Carolina Talkie Michigan Ucla Oregon and USC I noticed there is no of state on that list. I also went through your twitter account Saul Ohio, state offered you what the hell what's going on here sky like, what what, what are we going to do here I mean like what's going on? The. List is not another study chain. Okay. All right. That's It all serious what goes behind putting out a final eight. This is something to talk a lot about is like we're just fascinated by the process of the recruit. Cut Your. Why? Why? Why? Why not six why not nine why not to My space-related like what is it? Is Actually. I started off. I was GONNA do top five. Picking Five schools was hard. So I went and six. Six schools is hard and so I picked seven and then USC days before I was Gonna put it out as said, they offered me a year ago but I never knew oh I've made it eight. One of the schools are your listeners Ucla. The other five star that appear on our program committed UCLA, his name Peyton Watson you guys are you you're pretty close you say. How much is Peyton recruiting you now that he's a Ucla Bruin is he telling you to come back home to la where you belong is is that a thing that's happening? He told me but. He has a talk too much about it but I know he has a lot going on over there. Yeah. Having form does that does that go on for real guys guys like you know collude like colludes probably too strong that makes it sound like sinister kind of how it feels from the outside when like Y- a great recruiting class for one specific school forms you just assume the guys are calling each other. So Lake your uncommitted right now, do you have guys that have? Already committed places that are calling like, Hey, man I I I need I'm I'm a five star wing I did a point guard that's GonNa give me the ball like you should complete with me..

"You have? I have three pizza slices off another and in other news tonight okay. I know this is a big week for pizza. I'm going to build these up in order of how much extra toppings they have How how much you really your teeth in starting with a thin slice moving all the way to Chicago deep by pizza slice. Okay I A. Have you guys watching the last answer to Michael Jordan Doc? But I'm way behind so well. I have a pretty big because I am not a Michael Jordan Fan. That's fantastic. Yeah it's no I I am in Orlando Magic Fan and then the ninety s was shock and penny. I you know. We battled them in the playoffs when he came back from. Basically stole your saw. I'm not I'm not a fan. You know who I was the only player in the NBA. I've ever been a fan of that. Was Not on our team Charles Barkley. I was a huge Barclay. Fan The ninety s out. How the round mound rebound man identified with him. I played like he was like my basketball hero back then but like in like he was like battling Jordan. Vp's and stuff. I just wanted to Jordan Fan. Everybody Louis Jordan. I like the underdog you know so like Jordan. Let's go get it. I'm rooting for the Charles. Barkley's the guys who shouldn't be in the conversation. Yeah well either the towards the end Jamie. I apologize because this is a story line coming out and we're going to happen so yeah okay. So so Jordan famously. Part of his legend is that he played in a playoff game. Now that they call the flu game he was obviously. When you watch it back. He was obviously very very ill now. There are rumors that some people were calling what hangover? What if he was already in or something? Nefarious assumptions made about Michael Jordan. About why he was so sick and weather was the flu. The documentary this week Actually set the record straight or at least what they say were the record straight was they were staying in a hotel in. Utah and Jordan was hanging out in his room with this kind with some of his buddies and got hungry and decided order late night pizza now according to Jordan and people who are in the hotel room that night five people came to deliver the pizza and everyone else in the room but that was a pretty big red flag. Why would five guys come to pizza? Well Jordan was the only one who ate it and he claims that he was poisoned by Pizza by Utah. Jazz fans the night before a playoff game that it was horrific. Food poisoning one. I don't even know how you if someone says. Hey Man Poisonous Pizza. Like put something on there that they're not gonNA taste it. They're going to get sick. I would even know where to start but the pizza guy who actually made the delivery has come forward and is this happened twenty years ago and claims that it's why that Jordan was not poisoned by pizza. That was just the flu game and that he was actually Jordan Fan in Utah and wanted to deliver. The pizza personally brought some friends along because he was such a Michael Jordan was such a hero. So that's pizza. Slice number one controversy. What do you think? What do you think the real story is? I think it was the flu. I don't think he was poisoned. Derek did you watch the last episode Bray Line Row? Use Drugs as hell. That man is lying. Here's visit. Is Dust Stockton? Come into the Papa. John's guys like blue slip this as well. I'm just not like yeah the flu thing I mean. He's been hanging out with his buddies all night. He doesn't have the flu. We'll look we all would get the flu right. Yeah just confirmed that he was drunk right. At least I ordered a pizza. Just ate it. My here's the thing in the documentary. He talks about drinking drinking beer in the locker room. Okay she's got no shame and there's literally shot at him before game drinking budweiser like drinking a beer with a cigar smoking before a game. I don't think he cares about that. I I don't think that's a big deal. I think something happened. I think it was. I think it was a flu. I don't think it was the pizza but it's so so I wanted to go down the rabbit hole because I I was searching for more information about. This story goes very interested in it. It just seems like a great NBA weird conspiracy now a Lotta pizza headlines Jordache is in the news this week. Because you know everyone's doing the door Dash Grub ubereats thing and door dashes in the news. Because a pizza owner googled his he got he got some phone calls about. Hey your delivery services really lying. It's getting here late. And the guys are even have a delivery service so we googled his own pizza restaurant and saw that a delivery phone number came up. This was placed by door dash who he does not have a contract with and they were using it as a way as sort of like they were going to offer this as a proof of concept to the to the business owner. I guess is one of their standard operating procedures is to go and show them. Hey look we set up the school at and all these people order the pizza well he found out they were Jordache with skewing the data because they would buy a twenty four dollar pizza from pizza restaurant and resell it online. Deliver it for sixteen dollars so that when they came back to the restaurant they could show look how many people order pizzas even though they were selling it at a lower price. So this guy didn't think this is very cool. This pizza shop owner so he he started ordering his own pizzas for door dash and because of the price difference he was pocketing eight bucks the pizza. He wanted to see how much you get away with. If he can make the margins even higher he started shipping out. He started ordering boxes of dough and did the same list because the ingredients eventually stopped the ruse but it got attention for door. Dash So anyone WANNA guess how much Jordache made last year. They made nine hundred million dollars. Do you know how much they ended up their take. Home from. That was lost. Four.

"Listen to business casual wherever you get your podcasts. I know you're a huge huge. Nba Guy. I'll ask you about the latest but let me let me also ask you this. I I went on twitter this a few weeks ago. And of course the SS. Come after me because there's no nuance and anything like that on twitter but if the MBA came back they're not gonNA come back and play a full season. It's going to be some sort of truncated season and who knows what no matter what happens with the NBA they return. It's going to be a regular season so I'm of the belief that the NBA title this year. It's an asterisk. It's not a real season. What do you think I I T I totally understand? I lean more towards. I'm going to give it like a strike shortened season like eighty one in baseball ninety nine in MBA Repetitious isn't that because there's GonNa be no fans in the stands. There's going to be you know they're they're tinkering already with. Maybe what they do with it. How many playoff teams round? Robins and if you're if you're changing the way any normal season goes then to me. It's not a real season. What if you had a plate and say had five more regular season games or you had to play with like the tenth through the sixth seed to get in place and then you had a full playoffs like what's different? What is last twenty games? Nba season. I mean nothing so because it doesn't play out in terms of it doesn't play out the way it's was play up because there could be injuries in those final twenty games there could be anything happened in those final twenty game now you take them out of the mix so it's not to me a wheel sees it. That's that's me. I know you know it could be wrong on that. What what was your over see. I like talking. I love talking to people who aren't affiliated with ESPN. Because then it's not just like. Oh my God. I watched the last dance and had an orgasm fainted. Never seen in my life. What was your overall? Take on the last dance so I came into super skeptical. But I'M NOT GONNA they're shoving the same data throat. I'm like such nineties Dowager Blah Blah Blah that. I'm sitting there by just glued to my TV. Mike Thank God. This is obviously nothing to watch right now. The first thing you mentioned nine hundred thousand to me the best part of that was seeing all the stuff from the eight hundred ninety s yet. It was no. I thought I didn't want nine news and then I get enough of it. I'm like look at those outfits. Look at the size of Michael Jordan suit. It's Ghana and you know like we. We remembered all those guys in the media. Like you know there'd be like David Aldridge. Peter Vesey is a huge NBA Guy. Back in the nineties to. I would read Peter. Vesey in the post thought was the best column ever So yeah that would. That was awesome. I loved on it Yeah I liked the little stuff in the documentary and I'm I'm a pretty. Obviously you are. Are you big? Jor UNEDU- Knicks. Fan Are you. I'm a huge. I am Jordan Fan. So did your opinion of Jordan change on anything or in any way or did you learn anything new. Well you know now really learn anything new. My opinion change. I think the greatest player ever not exactly heartache. I've agree I mean I do think and we had the director Jason Heroin a bunch of times. He's been on. He's visited the studio before he's a friend of the show and he did a great job but I don't think it was like hard hitting documentary at all. Like course you know I do think I don't believe Jordan. I don't believe what he said about the pizza and the flu game. I don't believe a lot of stuff he said he's like I went down to. I don't even really believe is accused of the. He's like the Atlantic City thing during the Knicks. There's no big deal I heard you know. We all know that guy big deal get. Outta here you in the middle of a playoff series. You went to A. Who's what you were doing. I I came away not believing. I'll tell you that much. I had a conversation with someone last. Night about what? What is what is less believable. Five guys deliver the pizza to Jordan and he was the only one who eight or trump is taking hydroxy. Clark I mean I don't know which one is more absurd the Jordan. The one thing that I enjoyed the ends thoroughly great. I love looking back I wrote yesterday. I think there was like the best parts of me had nothing to do with Jordan. I mean the one this week where they show Larry Bird basically looking like he's at a funeral and Reggie Miller hits three pointer to give him elite with point four seconds left One of the great scenes I in sports history because he knew Jordan was going to the ball back in his hands that we didn't even flinch at love with that had the footage of him coming back and cursing out Jordan. Relationships were amazing. You know yeah. I still can't believe pippen. Said he wouldn't have gone back in the I mean that's a real that's a bad week for pippen. Although it did remind man he would dunk on guys heads. I was like Whoa. I'd forgotten how good a player he was. Yeah I love that I do think Isaiah Thomas got screwed over a little bit. He I thought he was great player. You know when I came up like I think he you know and then. Espn put out an MBA list. Where he was thirty two behind like Jaanus and John Stockton. I thought Isaiah was a little underrated in that one. I thought he was pretty great player right. Do you think he's good united guy or give you know. I mean he's a top three point guard of all time. I don't see that. Yeah but he got killed him documentary. Well the handshake thing and I don't know yeah I stuff wasn't as interesting to me as maybe some of the other things up. I love the whole thing and by the way that you know. It's a copycat industry. There's going to be seven hundred documentaries in the next two years. Basically you know the alumni asking Tony Reality. Put this out on twitter yesterday. Saying like you know who can be the subject of a sports doc. That would come close to this sort of level and he mentioned the one person who would be my answer. Because I've said it before. Do you have an answer to that question? Why a couple I said today on the show. do a documentary just on the bronze decision in whatever your that was just injustice and magic and HIV. Although there might have been documented on that already I don't even know and then every I think they did a bird magic one. Yeah I mean I remember that like I mean. I remember that being high school on the out in the afternoon about that. That was wild nineties calories. Everyone says nineties cowboys to so get the Guy Reality. Said who would be? My choice is a guy that we've that has been a part of our lives since basically you know we were able to put on television and probably the guy we know the least about except other than the fact that he's crazy Vince McMahon. Oh yeah that'd be humble. That's almost too big for documentary. How do you do and you have to understand? I was an eighties. Wwf Freak. Like I would suspect every month. I'm like this nerdy guy but I would run by teacher and screaming my head off at the spectrum which by the way I guess you can't do social distance he anymore. I've seen the illusion of insect mayor like I've seen through the years I kind of lost track lately But that would be almost feels like ten parts. Were not enough I would you do right. It's Oh my God you're right. They'll think the interview him and Kostas on on. Hbo Is the latest thing. I've ever seen in my life on television. But he would be a guy because I remember when. Hbo Did the very successful. Andre the giant DOC last year two years ago with Simmons. I remember I interviewed. Simmons was promoting the Andre the giant talk and we talked about who else could sort of be someone that would make a documentary on that level. And and I said Vince and he agreed. But you know it's Har- Vincent not a guy who who might sign up for that but that would be the one So I you know I only when we worked together. No one throughout like you were the first high taker I ever knew. I have to say that I didn't even know what hot takes meant for like a year on twitter. When people will tell you I know idea. But you the ultimate and to me. The first the trailblazer of the heartache. But I didn't get skipped offer right exactly. You didn't cap. I mean what people don't know. Andrew Wants told me in the office that Ladainian. Tomlinson wasn't a good running back. 'cause he only ran eight yards and that's an exact quote so give me like what's the hottest Andrew Pearl off? Take right now any anything. What's do you have a? Do you have a hot like Tom? Brady Tampa Bay Bucks. Take you out like four and twelve this year. Take like what's give me a well. I did say the twitter. The Magic Johnson was a disappointment. Be Seen in score enough in his career. People Tight John There. It is that you actually had one recently. I'm going to go through your twitter feed. Us when reasonably you made my head's what was it. Oh my God it was some worsted is when the best is when. Sometimes you'll actually have a smart take and like I shudder. I'm like what is this to remember when Richard. Choose to get all mad at my heartaches you'd be like but you know like if you don't say like. I don't like the conventional takes like everybody could do that. I think that it was way too much and by the way I was right on some things just clear some. Who is the quarterback? You loved coming out of college. He came to the office. He was throwing the ball game now. Wasn't it someone else? It's what's throwing the ball around as is office. Houston I think he played for Houston he was with Houston with Case Right. He was throwing the ball around. We all fell in love with them. That's how I became a lifelong friend with him. I was just gotTa be another. Oh this is the one yeah. We're huge. I'm defend Scottie. Pippen sing out the last month. I said I can't even respond to this one. Everybody said Lebron was too passive for years in the final seconds. "Treat your employees. So I don't deny the fact that Scottie Pippen and Jordan. These guys have a reason to not like Jerry Krause and you know Reinsdorf as the owner. He's going to take some shots naturally but the problem is when you're having villain look at succession. We've got different villains. You could say Logan Roosevelt Roosevelt and you could say competing companies are villains Sandy Stewart. When the case of this krause's the villain never gets to talk voice. The only voice he has is some clips of that era. And the reason why is he passed away? He died three years ago. So one of the flaws. The documentaries you can't be hammered a guy who doesn't get a chance to give his piece and I just don't think that's it's fair but it's just not as very much of an even-handed documentary on again. I'm sure those guys are right. Everything I've ever heard Reggie Jerry. Krause was a huge problem. In the fact that Steven didn't stay together but it would've been nice to have seen his perspective on these things in the most recent episode Jordan. They beat the magic. I'm like how do I not see Shaquille O'Neal in the interview? How do I not see Penny Hardaway meter like those guys need to be in there as well? So at times. I do think the supporting cast could be rounded out having said that the lovely Carmen Electra makes an appearance. Talking about Dennis. Rodman was dating him which is funny. I love Bob. Costas Bobby's telling stories of NBN NBC. David Aldridge is really good. He's telling stories that Aaron Michael always excellent but of course the principal characters the most interesting and say this for Michael Jordan. He is nothing if not authentic now spoiler alert. I don't really care for Jordan. Quite simply he was always breaking my heart chewed for the Knicks growing up. I love John. Starks Patrick Ewing Spike Lee. So I loved Malcolm X. came about ninety two spike Lee. Like he likes to the Knicks at Great. I'LL BE KNICKS FAN. And of course the Knicks Bulls had those great matches of the nineties so despise Jordan and the Bulls because they were always winning. And they're the ones. It kept the knicks away from winning especially in ninety three. And I mentioned you in starch. But Oakley those great physical teams and those great battles Pat Riley. Coaching them Swaggie Uber Cared for Jordan on that level is a fan and also I think the best part of the documents documentary to me was episodes five and six. I thought the first represents delving hagiography. I mean they're just literally waiting for Jordan to like part the Red Sea and walk on water. Listen every person has got some flaws so thankfully episodes five and six after showing. He's a brilliant player and incredible winner and ruthless and calculating. He's also not a very good teammate. Sam Smith's bulk point out the Jordan rules. That came out horace grant they believe was the guy was giving information of course denies it but basically Jordan was a prick was not a good teammate. Was always barking at guys demeaning etc. You've gotTA sequencer Jordan. Talks but Steve Kerr and the way. He does regret the fact he went to Harvard. Steve Kirby respect the back Kerr punched him and shoved him in the face. Okay fine they got over it fine but then the other stuff is well which I thought was the most potent was Jordan not standing up for social issues and in one thousand. Nine hundred ninety. I believe it has Jesse. Helms threw a TERRIBLE TRACK RECORD AGAINST AFRICAN AMERICANS IN NORTH. Carolina was running against a black candidate and Jordan's MOM Jordan said. Listen if you really be meaningful if you supported this guy and the famous Jordan quote which he says was ingest which is why he doesn't apologize forty-six he said at the Scottie. Pippen and Horace Grant and the boss which was Republicans buy sneakers to meaning. I'm not going to get into this now. He did say he made a contribution towards the Democratic contenders campaign but did not want to get involved and his viewpoint is listen. I just want to be a basketball player. That's it. I'm not going to be a political figure. I'm not about social issues. I just WanNa play ball and that's fine but I just think you fall short. If you're going to try to compare him to other greats of his race like Baba Ali and Jim Brown Arthur Ashe's wilt Chamberlain Criminal Jabbar etc and. Listen all those guys got flaws. Jim Brown has a terrible track record of abuse towards women Mohammed. Ali was noted womanizer and his treatment of Joe. Frazier was despicable. All these guys have got issues but Jordan in addition to being a womanizer and a gambling addict also did not stick up for his people so to speak a really tough time and I was texting a friend of mine about ABC. Well listen those other guys were dealing with an America. That was segregated. Look at Jackie Robinson and I said Oh what. A naive point of view to race was no longer an issue in one thousand nine hundred ninety or that race is no longer an issue today. In Two thousand twenty. You can look at what's happening in Georgia in the news right now. So I think Jordan falls short in terms of being deified with those other guys now as an athlete of course he's a great basketball player of all time. I like to make an argument for Lebron Kobe. Whoever you want but I think it's Jordan and as I said at least I give them credit for being authentic. He is not. I wish there was more of a look at his warts and also speak but I believe he's a producer in the projects. Of course he's not going to give his consent to a documentary. It's GONNA make them look bad but he does Angela social issues questions. When his father was murdered they addressed the fact. There was rumors. It was a gambling conspiracy that his father was murdered because gambling debts he categorically denies that. Bob Costas points out. There's not a symbol of truth to that and I do think Jordan's rightly said. Listen people just got tired of me winning. Eventually PEOPLE GET TIRED OF GUY. The mountaintop bring you down a little bit and that's life. I did find it amusing. Just how bad baseball party was Terry. Francona great guy but Tito George hitting two. Oh two in AA was a great achievement. I I'm not going buy that one. Did driving fifty runs and then of course he went back to basketball but listen in terms of our purposes. Here sinophile. You're looking at a story. Is the subject interesting absolutely. Is He available yes? Michael Jordan is throughout every episode giving detailed experiences. And there's lots of great moments. If you were a Jordan fan you are gonNA love the time that he tortula Bradford on he just shop Clyde Drexler shutdown gary his rage towards eight. Tom Still hates the guy to this day. At no time. Is it not an interesting and compelling documentary? I just don't think it's an equal to some of the other Paean works? Which is why I'm giving it three. Maple leafs still two more episodes to go. The ratings have been gigantic for Eastern. Because of course there's no live. Sports on people are dying for any sort of sports content. I do think people love Nest Algebra. My thought when I look at Twitter. I'm watching people raving about it. Why everybody's old because I'm forty one nine thousand nine hundred eighteen. So everybody's in their forties and fifties is of course loving this piece of work from ESPN. Joe Is younger than me. He's thirty one so he's going to different. Viewpoint comes to Jordan and the Bulls. Joe Your thoughts in the last dance. Well I mean it's like what you just said I. I think it's really hitting this issue. In the absence of live sports that a lot of people need right now and I like it for that and I do think it's captivating I do think it's entertaining but everything that you're saying. Nan is exactly what Ken Burns. Documentarian said to. He came out completely against the last dance. Because of what you mentioned earlier. Jordan's production company jumped. Twenty three is involved with the project and its quote was a find it to be the opposite direction of where we need to be going. If you're there influencing the very fact victory and he made it means that certain aspects that you don't necessarily want in the documentary are going to be in it period and he says he would never ever do something like that so it's a real mixed bag. He's he's really pushing a narrative in you see Jordan in the best light so I like it but I I agree that it seems like. They're putting out a huge. You know one specific image of Jordan that's critic. Ken Burns said that I had no idea I mean. I don't respect anybody more than Ken Burns when it comes documentary so that really serve my point. I'm glad you noted that joke I couldn't agree more like if the if the deck is stacked and of course you're not going to get a true telling of it. For example look at Errol Morris. We've reviewed his work about Steve Bannon. I mean Steve. Bannon is got to know going in more. Probably not on his side but Steve Bannon to his credit is willing to sit down. Here's my side of things do with it what you will. He trust the filmmaker enough to tell a story. And Aerial Morris is viewpoint doesn't agree with them but then some critics thought. Moore's wasn't hard enough on him but the point. Is You still give the guy a microphone but then you have to dictate how the stories told if production companies involved. Although of course. They're not going to paint a true picture of what the guy is which is certainly data chow of the Atlantic says serves as an education reintroduction and the spiritual reunion for the great basketball teams of all time it is as four sickly self involved as it sounds but how else would one capture. Jordan singular single-minded essence. That's pretty funny. I will say this. If you're like me and not a Jordan Fan. You might find interesting some of the other stuff as I mentioned. I think Pippen's a really interesting person. A character his backstory was not aware of the tragedy overcame. I always find Phil Jackson interesting. Although he was a disaster the knicks just a whole Zen Buddhism. Does he build the whole team together? And of course Dennis Rodman I mean he was about his unorthodox and as colorful as.

"Let's hop right into the show are we're live. We are here. It is Eddie with Carl or guests for today is brand new walker from Barcelona. And how are you average are? You can't hear we're doing good so I can hear you brandon. I saw the last week that you didn't like the episodes. I like the last week I thought that last week were step back from the first couple of weeks okay. So what was your least favorites Verte? Yeah I I thought it was my least favorite. You know when it got into some things like ninety three and Jordan being this distal respected by the media just didn't like that as much as the rise of Jordan in the eighties. Once you got into problems with Jordan I you know I didn't like it as much. I still love it so the best thing on TV. Yeah for sure. I thought I agree with you. I thought six I like five. I thought sixers little weaker. Carl you can heroes. Yeah did I have? Can you guys hear me okay? Now you're good to go okay. I had a little I had a little. Kerfuffle get go on there. No you're good to go now. I'll start off with this little started the episode seven. Carl you obviously we kick it off with Jerry. Krause little fired up Adha Craig. Sager about the backstabbing. I'm GONNA worry here because we were. I remember here. The director talk that there was going to be a cross episode. I don't see where it's going to get fit in now to SOS left. I don't know what you thought about that. Carl what he thought about. You know the Cross episode in General. Coming up yeah. We've said that when started. Was that a big risk with all this hate about Jerry. Krause that side of the story would just be this completely one-sided Jerry Krause is a fucking moron he ruined this whole thing and so. I don't know if we're going to get that. I think what we've got this a slow drip of like here's just how bad and tough. Mj was to play with and work with. Hasn't really been anything on Jerry Krause. It doesn't do any him. It doesn't do is legacy any good. He's still looks like the same jackass he did in the first episode so any of that. Hubbub about him coming back. I don't know well. I think you're leading to the Right Cup. I mean everything's leading to the break of ninety eight balls once they win the championship. And then it's all going to see it. All end are wants wants abroad. That's when you're going to get a lot of cross. Yeah that's true. They maybe they threw that Inda. Help your like remember a little bit because it has it does feel like it has been a little bit since he was Abbot enemy number one in the week one then they kinda roll it into obviously we get a little bit the net series and then they get into his dad. Who I'M GONNA reverse a Brandon Walker here because I don't remember this at all but you know you're the oldest one of US show. He was missing for three weeks. You're member like how big of a deal that was at the time. Yeah it was. It was a big deal. It was you didn't know he was missing for three weeks. I don't think they really noticed are made popular. He was missing until about Middle Week to. It wasn't a they were they were. I think it was like a week went by before they reported it missing so it was not really the huge national story you would think and the the biggest story breaking on remembers when they actually did find that like in a. Creek. I mean. That's that's crazy man. That's I mean you know call true crime. We talk all the time. Like it's like it's so hot in the streets and everyone loves like the Genera. But that's like could you imagine the best player like that happening now. When like how how it was covered. The Natalie showed lop it would be crazy. I feel more more while. Here's the other thing I'd imagine this. The to eighteen year olds had shot and killed Mr Jordan River Story. Goes they see the laxest they follow the Lexus. They WanNa rob the Lexus. They after they kill him while they're going through the wall at they have the moment where like holy fuck. I think. This is Michael. Jordan's Dad because he had rings in the car and the idea them and stop so I imagine being eighteen years old. I mean imagine killing anyone argue. You know when they when they got. I just can't imagine getting the prison and being identified in North Carolina as the two guys that killed Michael Jordan's debt. You're Fox eighteen years old. That's fucking insane legitimately insane. Then they roll into the Frenzy Comiskey Park in the Al Us. I believe it was the DS. But I mean the the streets in the Seattle was in saying it was. It was the and I remember that night. I was in the Ninth Grade. Eddie and I remember vividly because as I was a huge baseball fan and I'm watching the white socks white sox fan and that's series. I don't like the Blue Jays and I remember Jordan being there and they kept showing him in the booth in. It trickled out during the game. He was about to retire. I couldn't sleep that night at bothered the shit out of me. I stayed home from school. The next bothering me completely did a completely take over the game. Like Hey rod said would he opt out in the world series game like There's those stories you hear people like taking over the game. It didn't take over the game because I remember I think. Cbs had the Games back then. Cbs did not have basketball so there was no there was no built in relationship with CBS. To do it but I remember. Espn APP words might have said the score the game and then got right to Mike. Carlo did you take a while to see comiskey popular in like that. Yeah that's wild. Probably the biggest thing though. Mj driving away in the Mercedes. Like what's going on man. I mean we gotTA GO BACK IN TIME. We gotta get some drivers like I. Don't get it. There's this everybody's just fucking Dr Driving off with a Lance episode or last week where it was like Rodman Jug in a jug at a great tasting less filling getting on a motorcycle. These guys just don't get it. It was wild then. The frenzy of the Sweetheart. Everything just kind of went haywire was crazy then lead into the retirement announcement. I'M IN THE AMOUNT OF MEDIA. That was there was absurd. I watched that recently. The local station like a special on it. So I've kind of ready for that but I mean that's the amount of people that was. That was crazy now. I remember I think of sports illustrated might have been the USA Today. There was a picture like almost taken from a drones eye view. Now they're taking from the top of that. Jim Looking down on it shows Scotty behind and everybody showed the enormity of it. It was ridiculous. Were you guys satisfied with how they covered like probably didn't two minutes? The gambling suspension angle would David Stern. I thought he was. He was pretty convincing. He had me. I would say yeah. I think the strongest argument against that is just like. Listen if you're telling me that this was some big time orchestrated thing behind the scenes in still to this day. There's no hard concrete evidence that it actually happened. I think at this point. You just have to laugh up if you think about it. They go back and they tell the stories of him sitting there and talking to fill in him telling people this is going to walk away from the game. I just don't I don't see the conspire I get. I get the conspiracy. I just don't see it practically. I've kind of started burying it when they also bury the The idea to James Jordan was killed because of his gambling debts so they started putting interested then and ramped up when they came back with David. Stern and I've always have believed it. Like it makes a lot of sense. Even though we have no proof whatsoever I though I mean I. I didn't think spending any more than two minutes on tonight. What helped anything now. I could see that then. That obviously rolls into baseball baseball. It was pretty much just a bunch of highlights with them saying like how he worked out and changed his body. The coolest part of that was probably Tito Francona. I don't know. Is there anything? You got an automatic baseball baseball segment. I fucking loved. It was here. We're all the way up through last episode and the beginning of this episode. Michael Jordan story is one of success and he's the king and he's the man while ninety three episode and then his Dad dying was all just negative stuff and bad stuff in the media was just unfairly on this guy. Ninety three and a gambling. You could just really tell. The motherfucker was having fun playing baseball and that had to feel so good. It's hot one hundred percent might probably the thing I didn't know is that they sent him a Aa because they couldn't handle media at the other facilities so that they wouldn't have been at Aa so I thought that was cool and then my favorite quote of the baseball segment was Terry Francona saying. Hey we got a Lotta top prospects. That don't drive in fifty runs. Yeah and I just like to be on. Yeah I guess I'm like your manager. Remember the thirteen game industry. Yeah me neither that was cool that deadly and then the way they kind of spun the story and was like well then once people started throwing them breaking balls and stuff and then he had to readjust which is a classic baseball story. It's just funny that like the Guy. Going through that classic. Baseball story is Michael fucking Jordan at the prime of his basketball career. I I'll tell you this an angle that you guys wouldn't know but I was fifteen and ninety four when he was playing baseball and you guys in Chicago you had Michael Jordan gift. The Michael Jordan for years. You'd go see him play. I never had that gift and the closest NBA team was to me was Atlanta or Houston. I wasn't close at all but that year. He was in Birmingham which was an hour and a half from me so everybody every student every everybody loves sports my age would go watch him. Play in Huntsville. Are Birmingham. I never saw Michael Jordan play basketball. I saw him play baseball. That's why but I you know in south is not an NBA place. It's just you don't have many options. I watched him play in Huntsville. I watched them play baseball. That's awesome just stop and ask you a quick brain like what were you. Were you a Michael Jordan fan? Then then following his career like what was that like advanced growing up I was I was Larry Bird Fan up until he retired in the not. Just I guess as a basketball fan. I never had a team down south so I always just kind of latched. The greatness and I was a gigantic Jordan Fan. I had all the shirts at all posters and when he retired in ninety three I it it bothered me a lot but you know he was still the biggest star in the world even playing right field for the barons. He was the biggest star in the entire world. Yeah that's a good question because you ship for being like a Lebron Fan of follower McClellan to Miami's Alex so did you transition into like being like a Kobe guy or like I'm I'm a Lebron Fan. I latch onto players. Man Like how they play what they are I just never. I didn't have the gift of a NBA team to follow. So I didn't like Kobe. Didn't like shock. I didn't like Iverson and worn came in. I liked him. Now that makes sense for places that don't have a team like completely to me then we of get back into present day I'm going to put a pain in this because I think they're gonNA come back to where they had like a little five minute Scott ferrall segment He kept calling him a Ho that seemed to be the bigger takeover on twitter and his mom talk shit and I wanna say this is where I'm Jay. Thought he was going to come off really bad but people seem to love it. I think anybody but MJ is coming in that second. You think so any you save right now. Brennan shut the Fuck Up. Hope I feel like maybe not in this circle maybe not bartels articles but in real life you get some beat for that monitoring is not going to be for anything he says as true. Would you think all Scott Burrell took all like a champ and I thought that was a very human side of MJ in yeah? Scott Burrell isn't isn't even register on our radar when we came back and we're watching that documentary in some of the first reactionary episodes. You talked like God. It's great to get you know..

"With Sir let me see. Let me go to the cake. Kumons account Let me see we got here all right now for all you guys who are you. You're not a sports fan. I I am to a point not lately no not lately Jordan Sid Hill. You all okay. That's good Martin. Michael Jordan Fan has a no not a hater and I. I heard from everybody how good he was and I appreciate. It wasn't somebody who follow basketball. Yeah Okay now didn't follow basketball. We'll see if you can answer this. This comes from out of context. He wants to know. Billy you probably be the perfect person to answer this and Jesus man. He knew ahead of time that I was to do this. So he said I can't but he says Hey Corey Martin IMB since you guys are talking about the last dance tonight. I was wondering if you guys had a favorite non space jam related Michael Jordan Memory. Oh yeah got a couple of when? He came back when he had the flu and he came at scored sixty seven points. I love that he was sweating and collapse initiate and also the first time dunk from the free throw line there on the All Star game during the free throw contest. Nice Men's team should which I'm not going to you know let me sit cannot think of something. Can I think of the game? You got a gang. I can figure commercials. Yeah Yeah because I've always thought about Michael Jordan because you're right. I think in terms of games I don't. I'm not a huge. I don't keep up with sports. Yeah I can remember hanging out with the in the summertime when had when they had a playoffs with the Bulls Chicago Bulls and it was just cool because we were in Some of that time was doing was during when I was in the National Guard and now this is the early nineties so you didn't have internet or some shit so people want to watch the playoffs. A subscribing agents subscribe on spotify prescribed everywhere. Podcasts GIGGLING for actually free. What's that that God gas? You promise between two Poles by container now coming out tomorrow Lacks today I'm gonNA give you a five part series where where it coat in. Talk about the J. Doc. Bismuth cabinet finished on Sunday as let the man recorded a great podcasts abilities into it. I really should talk to about this document. This documentary after hacked away. Second can talk to her. I want so next by Winston to talk to someone different after the dance. I can't think of name of the show is live in on the Yet we're GONNA do a little post show recap recap you kind of reflection on the Jordan doc. Our first yet on this humor destructive is the gas holly Mike Man Yo Real. That was so good so nostalgic. This is going to be a lot better than I could have hoped he wants. All the kind of the prevailing Senate was it. Went FROM WISE. Our to this should be twenty. Yeah gives us more this year? If they give all hours last I would use up to five watching it. Yes like go ahead. Just add like a bill. Wennington episode Randy Brown episode appeared. Like give it well. There was one. Here's a little you're like. Oh we're going to talk about this for two hours Sambu. Yeah I hope he's doing okay. I don't care whatever it's not fault just happen. They made their call. They had Clyde Drexler. They didn't need Michael Jordan. Which is known will ever say again even funnier later on November first of all weird including my wife second of all. He ends up destroying progressing as elsia Bobby Knight yet like Toll Portland before this. After Jordan played on the came or draft Jordan client. I don't care what white Jordan it's cool it's cool. We've got climbing ladies and gentlemen what sentiment from so you're looking at your age how this hit you initially have. What did you think about going into so going into it? You know I was. I was big Jordan Fan. Big Basketball Fan so I you know thought I'd consumes quite a bit of Jordan stuff back in the day. I mean I watched all the movies had his books all that kind of stuff but the thing. I didn't realize I was a kid. And you know I've never actually thought about any of this or reflect on any of this as an adult so it's definitely hitting differently also there has been some stuff up learn. You know especially like the pippen stuff like I knew some of it but thinking about it now as an adult in NATO inside. Yeah like himself later in the episode kind of talking about the charter bus but that was very trade interesting. Because could they paid him more. Yes sign a bad deal. Yes is he doing aggression being upset? No however like the right thing to do is to pay the money businesses. Do the right thing. None and then like one second so so I really like kind of the state. So I've been kind of absorbing media around this for the last two weeks. I've been listening to a lot of ambience podcasts. Were talking about not just stories of Jordan stores in his DOT com made. Yeah she's been in the ball since ninety eight season APP and so they kinda talked about last time. Podcast they talked they kind of beauregard. They kinda talk their way into being the on the ground film crew for this quote unquote last dance with the tacit agreement. That would stay in the vault until Jordan in the NBA will use it. The number of hearings twenty million dollars. That's how much the salting cost. Nba Right's fees Music Music is a smaller. I'm talking about like the big money like Jordan. Getting probably the biggest slices did you hear how Director got your sign on for this. I've heard one sorts in starting to talk about. I heard on another Podcast I think put us in New York and got a message like can you go meet Mike and like thirty minutes at this place goes in talk show him? He looked like astro. Why do you WanNa do this? And he's like I don't and Jordan's worried about like being represented or misunderstood citing the hall of fame speeches in example a guest director made it clear that he understood Jordan and put them at ease and during Zo. I heard about the producer meaning to the producer meetings very interesting because apparently so there's a mini Dr floating around that uses this footage. It's an hour and a half and it's been around since like six and then the bolt because the world wasn't ready for because you can't do the Jordan story on and Twenty two teams run and it gets is producer reasoning. I'm forgetting but also produced the Irish doctrine thirty for thirty incomes. Any pitches to like Gisele the speech. He gives him everything on why they. WanNa do it. And part of the pitches him saying their kids wearing shoes. Mike who don't know what she did and Mike stopped and got the in the book and saw the credits in production. Tina dining said you guys have everson dog. He said Yeah and the way he said. I have no idea this now. We're done here. What looked up and said across three times watching. I love the little guy all right. Let's do so retreat. They wouldn't filming this and their target release date was twenty eighteen. And of course we're hearing twenty. It's found the bigger lease but it is a CO nation of a lot of work. A lot of passion and a lot of the people who are talking. Wouldn't have talked Jordan hence another or if you don't get Jordan doing but also if making a murder doesn't happen if the OJ knocked doesn't happen if there isn't proof in the world that you can do this with the documentary over multiple parts if he will stay on say.

"You're on a matter of fact, like it's absolute fact that there's no contrary opinion to the fact that he's the greatest of all time. But when you say that your alternately without seeing anything compared him to m j sure when you compare them to nj you're looking at somebody who was six on the finals compared to somebody who's three and six who's been swept twice who only managed one win and two other series finals, and he goes to he team hops to get with other all-stars win championships, and he goes to Miami. And he's like any set themselves. Not one championship not two not three not four. I don't even know how many I'm not cutting you off, but I'm gonna talk. So you're mad because he's in the discussion with Michael Jordan. That's what you meant. I mean like I said that and you come back like saying, Michael Jordan is the. Best basketball player of all time is a perfectly valid opinion. And it's an eminently reasonable opinion. I happen to think it's the Brian James. That's why it's become a discussion. I mean, and some of the stuff you just like rattling off he's all these also how many all stars were on his team when he went to the finals last year. But should it be negative to lose in the finals last year when you drag the worst team in the NBA essentially to the finals like that should be a negative. No, I can understand your point. But what I'm saying is if not only last year's final in six finals, he's been swept twice and only managed one. Okay. But the other time he's been swept one is last year. When in game one he played the greatest game essentially anyone's ever played and they happen to lose that game because of a myriad of factors in last year. He swept by the warriors. We can we agree that the warriors are an all time. Great team if not the greatest team of all time. I would agree with you there. Yeah. Okay. So he takes the worst team ever. I mean, that's the worst thing ever the worst team in the NBA finals. Maybe the worst thing that ever made the finals and get swept to maybe the best team in the other time. It got swept how busy. Oh, let's see. This was two thousand seven against the Mavs. So Twenty-one Spurs. I'm sorry twenty one and how who who was on that team? Seamer on the on the on the on the Cavs who was his best teammate. I like this is what I'm talking about with actual logic and reason and rational thought so. Is it a fact that he's been swept in the finals twice? Yes. That is a fact, but if you look at that fact that actually analyze it should it be a negative. Neither of those in my opinion should be a negative, in fact, they should be shoot positives for his career because he had no business. Those teams had no either of those teams had absolutely no business being anywhere near the finals. So it should be like I would say getting last year's Cavs to the finals was as impressive as any championship anyone's ever one. Yeah. I'm not saying that his his, you know, the fact that he's been able to take, you know, mediocre teams in the finals isn't isn't that great accomplishment. But if you take Jordan off of the bulls, they don't make any of those five Jordan after balls we've seen this. We probably we've seen this happen. They did take Jordan off the bulls. He went to play baseball. Imagine a full Brown just quit in the middle of his career. What would happen? How would be talked about? If you just so you know, what I'm not. I'm going to go do something else for a while. But Jordan left. The bulls won fifty seven games. The next year when he went to play baseball. They won fifty five. So they won to fewer games. They may have made the finals it was possible. They had a bad call go against them against the Knicks. They were very good team that year. Now, of course, Michael Jordan is the biggest reason they won the championship. Don't get me wrong. I would never I'm not again, this is when I talk about rational thought and not being crazy. You will never once hear me fix my mouth to say anything other than Michael Jordan's an all time. Great player, right. He's a legend for a reason on the basketball court, but I will also look at the everything through the same prison. I mean, Michael Jordan played with Scottie Pippen and Dennis Rodman with perhaps the greatest coach of all time for that. Second three P, you know, when you talk about super teams and all star team mates. Michael Jordan didn't win a playoff series until Scottie Pippen was on his team. So like these things come into, you know? Light when you're actually talking about these things because the Michael Jordan and LeBron Scott discussion lives on because it's such a great discussion. It's there was never. Here's what Michael Jordan was when I was a kid the idea or even when I was a little older because I grew up. I watched Michael Jordan, the the idea that anyone would ever be in the discussion with Michael Jordan was absurd. Like, that's not believable. No one could possibly be in that discussion. Now that someone's in that discussion. That's what's what's led to. I think some of the emotional feedback a little bit like I think you're having a bit too. Because you're saying the reason you don't like LeBron is that people put them in the same conversation with Jordan. But not only that. But also the fact that he goes to Miami and starts rattling off all they're gonna win four or five or six and doesn't even deliver on half the guy like talked up his rear end. Sometimes it doesn't look that was a mistake that pet, but that was a pep rally at that time again, he's a kid basically when that happened, right? And it's like a pep rally. He didn't realize at that time. I don't think he realized that was going to be everywhere. Like remember when shack got to Miami. And he came out in the big thing with the bazooka firing and all that like it was before social media. So it wasn't everywhere. I think if LeBron could take back that moment, he would take back that moment. But does that like you will never see his career the same because it's something he said at a pep rally. I think I will not, you know, it's it's more of the three and six and swept twice and only managing one went into other finals, but we just talked about, and you just essentially admitted that the swept into finals was actually an accomplishment to make about those times. And when you're saying three and six in the finals still means you made the finals nine times is it better to lose before the finals then in the finals. No, no, no answer that question. Can you answer that question is it better to before before the finals it in the finals, it's an accomplishment to make the finals? But if you're talking is it better answer the question is it better to lose before the finals, then in the finals. No, it is not. But you also can't go, you know, five hundred and be considered one of the best. When you compare somebody who was six and all. It's sixty dollars. The only thing people, you know, what I would like for Michael Jordan fans is an argument. Besides that. Because that's the only one I it's the only argument I need, Sean, right? The only one I hear. Making the final three more times getting there with teams that had no business. I don't see. I don't view that as a negative, and you didn't hear me say one word about Michael Jordan, by the way, the entire show until that was brought up Anthony in Baltimore. Anthony, you're up next here on CBS sports radio. Robin. Thank you for taking my call, man. I listen to you every Saturday morning. I'm a truck driver. And I it cracks me up each people get on here about this. Lebron thing before I touch on it I want I want to touch on something about the Anthony Davis. I've pelicans situation. Sure. Real quick. Something fans all fans need to find it somewhere out there on the internet. Listen to it just came up. David Ohio, you say his name just said last night. He was asked someone asked him about the comment about that situation. And what is in his comments? He said you have to look at it from all sides. And when he started naming inside the name fan or consumer never came up. It was about the team the owner and the players because when it comes down to what the team the NBA and the players to expand really don't give a hot crap about the fans and the fans are booing carrying on against this guy. When the team is the one who really they they they they don't care about. They care about your money. They don't care if you if they if you're mad because Davis LIZA, dear they keep Davis. They said the team is the one that wanted to sit this player. He's said in the very beginning him and his agents say if he's not traded he's gone to honor his contract and play ball. The team was the one that came up and had to be threatened by the NBA of being fined one hundred thousand dollars a game. If they didn't play this. He wanted to play the whole time whether traded or not I agree with you. I mean, if you didn't want to play him, you should have traded him trade them. And so, and and that's all I want to say about that. But LeBron thing is you you said it, correct? What happens is certain not only the fans have their bias. But then it's fed by certain media types that no better just like the thing. The fact that you bought up about where he sits on the bench and where he's been sitting on the bench Cleveland bits. He left Cleveland went to Miami that he left Miami. And went back to Cleveland. He's always had a certain spot that he said on the bench, and these pundits that come on the air TV and radio tried to make a big deal to feed their agenda when they knew better, and they know this for a fact, but. Stating the fact they choose to go with the narrative to try to make him look bad to feed that hysteria. You had another pundit. They come on and say, oh, it's on the bra. Now magic didn't get the trade done. Now. He he'll be the only a star athlete to come to LA and not the championship. If he doesn't win a championship. What why why can't he get other players to come to play there with them? Besides Chris Paul trying to go to the Lakers in the NBA who cares about fans block that trade? Whatever stars tried to go to the Lakers and play with Toby. I mean. People forget Kobe. Look, look, the press is going to be on the Brian. It always is going to be on the road. I don't think I think he's correct in saying there's zero that can change what he's already accomplished. And what his legacy is like we're not talking about his legacy anymore. Throw that in the garbage. But until. He retires or he's clearly not what he is anymore. Of course, there's going to be you know, he's going to be the the center of what the Lakers are doing. I mean, that'd be foolish to think. Otherwise, I mean, we foolish for me to say they aren't gonna go as LeBron goes it isn't on him to do this. Of course, it is. But. You reference? Kobe Kobe demanded a trade on national television. They wind up training for power saw that changed the narrative of the second portion of his career. The Lakers did have that white Howard Taga saw Steve Nash Kobe Bryant team. They also had that Karl Malone Gary Payton Shaq Kobe Bryant team, but those guys were all washed up playing with forks out of their backs at the time.
