"Picture for twenty years two decades worth of football you played in the wing would aid you through all that away or washed away for the New England Patriots Tom Brady could you couldn't come to a deal you should have already come to a deal one way or the other I Jordan Dallas welcome you're on CBS sports they give a call how are you Jordan I'm doing just fine I got three point two or more statements one is a is a question number one the first guy with bad weather data contract a totally disagree on the document your account was banned I think the deal needs to be done the thirty three million he talked about number one number two when travelers rate today as the dolphins signed Byron Jones for eighty two and a half billion fifty seven of which will guarantee I think that was the most bogus contract I'm I'm out of everything that being a fan of the game Mister two career interceptions I get that is locked down but I just I just I would never if if I was a GMO cowboys out of them and not money and number three the question I have for you is the trade that happened that day with the Andre Hopkins and David Johnson for a second I'm just wondering if you've been just totally insane are they trying to purposely we're I just don't get it give up what they gave for the arguably the best receiver in football the best go get her the best one of the best route runners best an open field I mean the guy makes a catch in between his legs to give that up for a guy that's been heard for what twenty six out of the last forty games or whatever was R. S. that graphic I just don't get it leisure trying to open the drafting get I receiver because this is the receiver of the draft I I just don't understand what their logic was well I think you also have to throw in what did Stefon Diggs go for going in a soda to Minnesota to the Buffalo Bills so my big question is that I think people are going to point out is this is this bill o'brien now that he's running the whole show saying you know what I really don't like the guy we butted heads he was a pain I'm just gonna rid myself of them and I'm gonna get nothing back in return other than addition by subtraction I remember they've got they've got a running back already another getting basically a backup or maybe even a third string running back for one of your top questions Sir well there's been injury prone and can you still offering right I mean and I will go back to Dallas real quick I mean alright we got who we just gave them twenty million for five innings are undergoing a revival twenty million a year by that kind of money that can be concerns I mean he's in my opinion the most athletic power propelled like receiver in the league so far for them to trade him away their their overall best asset I mean they they gave away cloudy last year understand cloudy with a locker room issue but from what I've heard and and I I have a lot of their girlfriends or fans down in Houston developer here in Dallas because you are not and everybody has great things to say about Hopkins road into the community things like that so for them to get rid of them I just don't understand for what they got in return I'm I'm right there with the I. I scratch my head when you look at the value in it did they misread the market so the big question is who must read the market did the Houston Texans misread the market by not getting enough back or do the Buffalo Bills overpay first of five digs in for me it's more I think that Houston just mis read the market I want to get rid of the guy thanks for the call pre shaded Taylor Philadelphia welcome you're on CBS sports radio good evening elder Lawrence I am not standing I appreciate you call me how you hold up are we are trying to hold up as best we can so governor wall decided that we're going on a two week shut down and I will be apparently taking sick time so I got a laptop shipped out to me in the next couple days so probably the best we can five thank you no no I was gonna say I was gonna say I'm trying to treat I'm trying them put the best positive spin on all this of being cooped up in the house I mean you know go for a walk I'm actually looking forward to walking the dog but I'm trying to treat it like a staycation that I've I've staying home and in trying to relax and do things around the house this weekend that I never would have got a chance to do I haven't been working outside the house have been able to run around and do it my normal things I would do some treasury like a staycation a getting some kind of something done so I can feel good about myself overture and I'm already doing online courses for grad school so I get time to work on homework when I'm not at work so this is actually kind of great for me like you said I just wanted thank you and all the sports talk radio host from coast to coast that are like you said keeping the sanity in a little bit of just normal life going on for all of us you know what if you guys can share stories with you before we can you know costing about free agency so here's how weird things are of my son's going to it so I have a studio at home I have a home studio that I that I use in and I'm able to use that site to do the radio show but I I've got a nineteen year old son who is a freshman in college is so weird things have become he went on a virtual days of death don't use the word virtual data Mike either deliver a radio that he skied to some girl that he knows from school they sat there and watched a movie on Skype together and that's what they did for social interaction I mean I'm this is just so I'm charted territory and we are no no trust me yeah I'm I'm about twenty seven and then trust me I am I am on tinder and I'm looking for any local singles like want to commiserate X. coronavirus so one should get insurance right it will struggle to rise over the marriage provided keep your scoops try to keep your as your social distancing our best you cared but anyways so let's change right watch fine art living moving for a good driver you want to talk about free agency so our our our big brown spent a little bit of a transplant and Austin Hooper and Conklin I mean Jack Keane I'm good backup I throughout the followed me through but I mean I think the Browns others will being analytics guards under the bridge installments do that the whole thing about the analytics and they're trying to do is so difficult so Paul DePodesta right right who is if you saw it but looks we don't talk about you saw the movie Moneyball he was the what's his name from super bad play them Jonah hill Jonah hill played him in the movie Moneyball the they had to change the name because Paul did like the way the movie script was written so wouldn't give permission to use the name so they went and found like Paul the best is the state rail thin guy who's a crate shape I think the producer Paul he was mad safe out of fat dumpy guy to take it out of the movie but but but I know Paul I do I I used to work for the Oakland A.'s when he came to work there he actually it's started with the Baltimore stallions of the CFL and the CFL used to have used to have teams down the United States he was actually I think it was the last employee of the Baltimore stallions before the league disbanded if they if he ends up getting a job for the Cleveland Indians anyway it's so difficult to try to replicate what they're doing in Major League Baseball which is a lot like what Amazon does in in goal of developing analytics they call it twenty so and Amazon they collect all your information they can kind of predict what I want to buy on Amazon before I know on a bite by looking at my timing my buying patterns same thing in Major League Baseball for the stuff the polity but Esther really had a had a getting started is I'll try to come up with the composite and all use all these little different algorithms to find out what you do and that we could have predictive analytics it's so difficult to replicate that in major league in the National Football League because every play is predicated upon somebody doing something different in this the sample sizes so big so if you've got a quarterback I can't just isolate a quarterback versus safety because if the guard blows his assignment on a blitz I don't know how to throw that into the analytics so as they try to conquer all of this it's just it it's still uncharted territory they they try to do a Billy be try to do it and and and soccer it one point and I'm not sure how far they got and I don't think they've been successful doing that instead soccer C. haven't Major League Baseball and I think Paul still trying to figure out what the how to crack the code in in in the National Football League for progress for that predictive analytics yeah I know for sure and I think I think especially with the the Conklin and that your premier builders those are kind of just actual like football mood so I think you know they might be actually trying to incorporate both both theories but you can you know sign guys for dirt cheap they can actually play but Hey you also need to have to spend money for guys that are really really good at what they do right in the end you know and that's part of the key so so that's the other part of all of this and I will let you go thank you very much for the call good luck is you keeper social distancing just make sure we stay safe are that's the other part of this so some of the some of the predictive analytics in some of the rest of analytics that she would do in Major League Baseball the the Browns are trying to accomplish in the National Football League is looking for things that are undervalued that could help you win so everybody knows home runs you pay for those but do I pay for defense not as much as I do for home runs so I could buy a find a better value and a better bargain it's colder arbitrage it's a term where I go looking on Wall Street for cheap stocks that are gonna give me a big return there is an opportunity that the.

P. N. radio and he would come on my Sunday show Honda for my son he show was on this network was on the other network for seven years and he would get up with me to be on the air at four thirty five in the morning west coast time aha yeah he did wake up and do you know who his next door neighbors I am not speaking out of school here on her medal it's his California next door neighbor hi Clint Eastwood wow that was the next door neighbor state with that we we just had one on the wall with that converse and they're great and their bodies and their buddies let me tell you really quick funny story about her an adwords so yeah so when I was with the ESPN station okay shop with a blast your so my wife I'm covering the jets for yet the S. right affiliate New York and I had to go to a jets Prada complex to tape an interview with him for our draft coverage and my wife at that time was pregnant with our first child okay and we're just starting to announce it to everybody and I told them when we're doing the sit down for the interview as you'll be great then what if I call my wife which would you congratulate her on the phone to the W. pretty cool thing I call arches an answer the phone knowledge is that he said you know you're here on Saturday for the draft a will call back we start talking with more my wife called me back on the phone and he answered the phone and talks to her and grabbed her on with one of the great and my love of telling people in her office the herm Edwards just graduated her on on on being Frank that nobody would believe her I love him I love and I love how awesome what happened in sports listening important I mean let's be honest with the plate let's let's be honest I think at this point that it ended the day does it really matter at the end of the day we're going to start with the NFL serves up a three course meal on this thanksgiving day and it's gonna start at twelve thirty eastern time with the bears and the lions in Detroit in the line so tired alliance on thanksgiving are you not people that I hate to see you yes a rotation yeah yes I would love to see New York and and Philly in Kansas city and and you know Tennessee get to host an early thanksgiving game yeah yeah is it to to the jets host of the sun and I came twice right well that's their eagles of added to it on but I I mean to me Detroit at in the game and I want to hear about it even though to Jordan Dallas with the two teams the volunteered when the NFL wanted advice giving and no other teams volunteered I think that's why they are writing teams would fall over the chart of do it right now rotated because I hate saying the lines yeah yeah it's enough just being honest with you I'll be honest the tie that binds are gonna start rookie David blauer quarterback today because Jeff Driskell be the battle David Blatt went undrafted rookie quarterback is going to be their starting quarterback today Jeff Driskell will be the back up even though he is dealing with a hamstring injury oh my gosh yes of course Matt Stafford is out so yeah it's terrible this scene will then shift to Arlington after that with the bills will visit the cowboys everyone's all over the cowboys I mean everyone's all over the bills today your Medicare bills I got to tell you I I I don't see them winning that game I see the cowboys winning as well but that's not stopping bills quarterback Josh Allen from being excited to play on thanksgiving that both parties are see I remember growing up waking up on Thursday you know going to need and then watching these games all day and that's all I did and stuff my face mask potatoes so I know there's people out there that are gonna be doing the same thing and you know have a good support group there from back home they're making the trip out as for the forty of them so I'll get to see them and you know there's a lot to be thankful for now the stuffing my face under oath of mashed potatoes are on the menu of my life yeah I love it love it I like that kid Bella I like Josh Allen you know what he was the guy when I didn't think the jets had a chance to get Donald he's the guy I wanted I think he is a a breath of fresh air I think he does a really good I think he's doing a nice job and Sean make could make judgments on a really nice job too good Philly kid yes he went to a bad Catholic high school in Philly though he did yeah he can get a you couldn't get in the mine and he couldn't get in the car lot yes so the Holly had to settle for another school that's right well kick off attacking will be at four thirty "'s. In. They're saying that this many shoppers have seen reported saying a young woman between the ages of seventeen and thirty with light skin, dark hair and blue eyes, get out of fashion, clothes wandering, the aisles of the market basket. He had Massachusetts on main street one shop recording to cycle. Patch dot com is familiar with her as she used to visit her home when she lived near the store. The lady says I saw in looked away to see if anyone else are in when I looked back. She was gone. The woman who started the discussion reported in a follow a post she explained that the sighting happened so quickly she wasn't able to take a picture. So what better thing to do? Let's see if we can get him on the line hang in there, folks. Let's see if we can get them online and put this this thing to rest and find out what's going on here. Good morning. Baskets, speaking. How can I help you? Yes. I was wondering if you if you could just answer question, I'm from the rest of culture podcast, and we just have a question really quickly is that stored purportedly haunted. I'll give you a manager. Hold on. Please. How can I help you? Yes. Can you just a quick question for you? You know, we've seen some reports in the media doubt the store there possibly being haunted. And we're just checking to see if if that's the case, we're just trying to verify story. That that's the story. But we have not verified that there is on that that it's haunted. Okay. No, no, reports of anybody wandering the aisles or anything like that. So it's it's it's hearsay at this point. Then correct. Okay. Well, I wanna thank you and good luck on this busy day, happy food Friday to you. Thank you. Thank you. Also, nobody. Well, folks, there you have it it the management of the store who's working there, everyday is evidently they've they've not seen this apparition in out of date clothes wandering, wondering the aisles. I guess we can shut that one down for the moment. Well, moving on here. We've got to this interesting story. I don't know if you've seen this one. But it it reads like this. It says pig brains have been brought back to life, four hours after death in a disturbing experiment. And this is the real deal here folks, this is a morbid experience experiment, which raises questions about the barrier between life and death. Scientists have revived pig brains hours after being slaughtered. That's something to think about when you're sitting down to your Easter ham. This good Easter. Well. Well, the researchers found that cell death could be halted in connections in the brain could be restored even after death. But the thirty to thirty two pig brains collected from an abattoir showed no signs of consciousness. The researchers said this is a yield team that's doing this. Folks, Yale a team from Yale University, the used pumps heaters and bags of artificial blood at body temperature to keep the brains alive. So that's what's going on there yell. Researchers found working synapses which are connections between brain cells and normal in normal responses to drugs in this experiment. This will happen ten hours after death. Although the EEG scans of the brain showed no signs of consciousness, and there's a professor there. I guess he's the culprit his name is Knin ads Sistan and he's a professor of neuroscience at the Yale University. He said that cell death in the brain occurs across a longer timeframe window fan. We previously thought. We are showing in the process of cell death that it's gradual stepwise process, and that some of those processes can either be postponed preserved or even reversed. Well, good luck with the the the Franken Stein experiments there. I'm not sure what the the goal of all of that is. But maybe we'll we'll know in the fullness of time. Little little weird. Isn't it? What's next? What's next? Well, this Nick story is kind of an interesting one here, this this man from lacrosse, Wisconsin. Who's not too far from the studio here. He claims to have never placed a bet on sports. And yet folks he risked eighty five thousand dollars on Tiger Woods winning the masters. He's now now more than a million dollars richer as result of doing that his name is James a duty. And he was presented with a check for more than one point two million dollars last Monday at a sports book in Las Vegas. Do cheese. Win represents the largest Gulf payout ever ever for sportsbook operator, William Hill US, and he says that his reason for betting thousands with fourteen to one odds, evidently, he said that he had a feeling that woods would win because his children were watching. Tiger Woods children were watching the game. So we gave him a feeling how he knew of this. I have no clue but I quote him here. He says in that moment that he won in. I one. What was the most special for me in its place? The bet the first place was just seeing him share that victory with his kids said do Chee who is thirty nine to me. He's a real guy was super human Gulf abilities. And in that moment, he had something with his kids that he's never had before. While one point two million dollars. Good for him. And he later said that the eighty five thousand dollars who evidently he does a little bit of trading stocks. He had some losing stocks. And he took that eighty five thousand dollars packed up. The car went down to one over to Las Vegas and the rest is history came back with a one point two million dollar check after doing that. While that is amazing. Just amazing. Folks, that is the rest of culture podcast on this. Good friday. I do want to welcome. You. Thank you. And this little tune is called all of me of many of you probably know that but you can find it on YouTube. It's done by Justin Jordan, Dallas, say just Jordan, Dallas, man. He is good at what he does give him a lesson. You can subscribe and fun them there. And I just wanna thank you to put a thank you out there to buffalo. Bob and poke salad any I said, it wouldn't use your real names. But they're the ones that kinda shoot these strange stories to me helping some of the research. I wanna thank them for that. And folks, welcome back next time look for us next week. So this is the rested culture podcast. And I'm your host Frank ever sold signing off you have agreed Easter.
