"Cardinals try to make some changes based off of the information they have about their finances because of the season without fans in the stands I'm also not you know who knows Yadi wainwright's say they're kind of hinting at the idea that they're a package deal, but if wainwright has A. If wainwright has a agreeable situation to come back in India decides to jump on something else in Free Agency was rain right not come back. What if the team Molina goes to isn't interested in Wayne Right? There that would have to link up for that notion to be real I think we're probably out in front of our skis a little bit I think they're probably going to strike away to to be back together in two, thousand, twenty one and face off their performance this season that doesn't look like it will simply be a you know an old timers tour. Yeah. I would agree this is Ben Fred Fridays, presented by Henderson and. Water Cutty Sto Criminal Defense Dot Com the blues makes news the Jake Allen deal. So really you know by all accounts, everybody looks at Jake is being just a first class guy he heads to Montreal wins a cup here and you know the the blue you're gonNA have to clear some space to try to bring in Oh I don't know a captain resign him. So what do you think of the deal of? J. Gallon. Well Army my first thought was Doug Armstrong is not going to be slow to react to the post the off season like his team was during the bubble postseason army doesn't take too long to get going this effort pretty fast and he just He's always got something in man. So look I'm almost hesitant to say this absolutely means they're going to bring back portray Angelo because you just never quite armies up to however I think that's priority number one and I think that's why we saw the trade the blues have of course the. Kylie. Of Jake Allen You can't say enough about what kind of teammate he was and what kind of man he was when Jordan Bennington kind of became the number one he coulda powder demanded trade. He could have been a bad teammate. A lot of people would have and he didn't he helped Jordan Billington along he played well, the blues turn to him and he was a consummate pro and that's part of the reason the Canadians were interested in him back up their starter in it's fascinating. We're seeing the Canadian spend a ton of money. On goalies in a time where Doug Armstrong who has been a very big proponent of this notion of having to goalie kind of set up in order to win saying look it's kind of it might be something a luxury. We can't afford in a salary cap year of that has the captain grow and we're stuck at eighty one and a half million and it might be something that you know..

"Welcome back to tune the instigators and it is time for dis or dat so reserves nephew mackenzie weaker we talked about him because he played the last four minutes out of the last front for the last five minutes in the game with Florida getting a big win against the St Louis blues but he had a chance to relive to to score a goal it's not about just playing defense is about scoring goals and he came in and out of the penalty box he got a breakaway but Jordan Bennington if you put on a good move but Bennington made the save now we know that there's been a little bit of a feud going on between Jordan Billington and Justin Bieber and I'll it'll like Bieber said he wanted to go against Bennington and do issued all for charity or whatnot seeing what you saw it a week or yesterday who has a better chance of scoring on Beddington Jordan beaver R. mackenzie weaker and I'm just throwing it out there because I wanted to just at Justin Bieber's sorry Justin Bieber accountability accountability attention to details Justin Bieber or mackenzie Uighur dis or dat better chance to score on Jordan manning well I'm gonna go with the biebs if you struggle yep my next to her my cousin had not yet your cousin sorry yeah my cousin had the opportunity last night to break break away sick move totally sick moves deep deep Bennington out but just forgot how to score score the goal but now now obviously I got to go with the biebs because beads is a yacht yeah yeah I mean have you ever watched his videos that he sends out this is the only I can only time in the plane you think I'm going in the private jet like going through like red solo cups in the middle of the aisle yeah I was a grad ski no Gretzky imitated remember him he didn't have a stick he was pretending to stick handling but beaver did it on the plane here here's.

"Yeah I see a war yeah and you you were also saying tell me about the home you grew up in can you describe it's it it's actually considered to be the biggest city building permafrost though it's not as big as you know in our American comedian the ninth circuit's it's quite small very interesting place it the Dino despite the fact the one thing I like about the city although I didn't enjoy the weather obviously because it's way too cold it's not called to the point where you can enjoy winter activities that always is you can you don't wanna go outside you barely surviving outside yeah no kidding wow but at the same time the interesting fact about people who live there are they they did lot more closer to each other as a community more a lot more you know helping to help a lot each other and in its they care about the like each other is now that's different how do you alive but with the economy look like a place like that like what's the wallet or the jobs of people when it's that cold so interesting fact this the gal in the worst crime it's possible for a living yes it's probably the richest place on earth when it comes to national resources soul thirty five percent of all diamonds guys oil gold silver you like you name at thank you just hard to mind because it's from a frost are but there's a lot of mining companies and actually if you ever seen either like Russian national teams whether it's still yours or hockey teams the or all in fact I Russian the teams you see they have this like a logo on the helmet which represents the company from my home town which is the one of the biggest mining companies in the world diamond mining I don't understand this so it's one of the richest places because of the resources around it what you were telling me during the break that your family didn't have indoor plumbing yeah that was kind of part of it too we get like it's you can't really do it it's bad because of the way money being just within Russia raid all gets everything gets gathered in Moscow and then make yeah so sure on the job right we were kids the one thing they dead which is kind of similar to what we have in Canada these days like if you were to move to the northern territories or you know somewhere north with that other but more harsh weather they give you you get paid a little more and then you also get to retire a little bit sooner than that on average person anywhere else if you don't freeze first but while going outside to the rest room yeah that's right out to you had out hot houses yeah you grow fun minus fifty he is was that possible I don't want to remember that Asian and you just you learn to go very quickly exact your visit that was fun that's what you call it needs you know it's just like yeah and you know on the funny thing is they never complained this was this was life but you know I didn't complain because like you don't know any better if you like that's what you want time that would I think the only time I realize that like where I left was not I DO to say the least as when I would watch like weather forecast you know after like on an out of a Baghdad in Russia like that would on TV that would show you like this for a cat that was okay this is how cool is going to be in Moscow in Petersburg and all this like beautiful Sochi another beautiful places and then you do that wait a second happening today a rate like and and then you like well why am I doing here you know what I do here so you were able I eat you weren't remote enough you're able to get like television signals where you are I don't know it's full you like how war looks it was soo was Asian like we had everything and yeah the other half was with a part of my life because we were maybe not living in the best neighborhood in the city but there were people who left in normal life yeah wow yeah we also have to mention that we have a little bit of an age difference so she's describing a lot of already post Soviet Union Russia thing yes well like I was born in the eighties but then yes I was excited the adult like it's already Russia right versus right honestly I described was more Soviet Union yeah you are growing up during a different time yeah and that's actually I feel like probably you gotta be like you're in that sense because you know being born a like written you know growing up in like the in between that's the word because the information was hard yeah because that exactly so nineties was hot not just for my family at a specific about like for most families in Russia and not just inside the ear but everywhere Russia one thing you mentioned that when it comes to school this was hilarious because we're talking about different schools that close because you know we have a winter weather advisory for counties mostly around Lewis we at some schools that run delay or cancellations because they're afraid what the weather was you said the rule was when it comes to if school was canceled or not if it was minus fifty Celsius you go mine is fifty one Celsius or below you do not sell by the way minus fifty one Celsius translates to roughly sixty below zero Fahrenheit kids are gone in school something kids today that if he gets to a certain point I think they can't do it you know they don't want to wait for the buses is too cold and I understand that but for you guys it was like get out there it's time to go there were no bus and the school buses just for the record we we don't we don't have y'all locked so will you take the public bus or long or you walk the cash during Chernobyl I moved to LA Bruce mountains which are the tallest mountains in Europe but I lived it my father got a job as a ski instructor at a resort it was a hotel where people came he was so I didn't even live near school the nearest school was a little village which was three kilometers which is about six miles six miles down a mountain not down a hill we're going down a month so for me the easiest way to get to school was to ski down and then the whole there's a bar that's that's something up so I don't have to walk that why sometimes in between the the village in where I live lots avalanches came down I visit I've seen like a skit on top of the what was left after the avalanche and on the way back I'm driving in the bus between two with some high risers of snow walls why dig through all the way to the ground and me which all walls of snow this is just something it's it's it to me it is something that's hard to imagine because it it's when when I hear stories like this would you find that skiing became like a chore like a have to ski the school again like people go way out of their way to for the activity now it's a huge recreational activity but for you it was like motor transportation do you did you find at the time you're like I can't believe we have a ski and to go to school honestly I was on the team I love skiing snapper me it was just fun and has your kid at that time you have two options walk down the hill or ski down the hill of course some of us right here is the whole other offices and walking three kilometers while has the stories here so you're going to be in town for the NHL all star weekend you're reporting on this weekend you know I I just think it's phenomenal what you guys do and it's so cool every time you're in town and now you have someone in the lean out from Toronto also reporting and that's so cool to see that who's representing the maple leaves in the all star game I actually quite like you this year we've got three people so I snafus Mitch Marner and Frederick Anderson very nice the language hello yeah on Michael's representing almost as good as St Louis we get that right in the upper on which is perfect and the fans really showed up for this sort of thing he desires that yeah he should have been already in the even before the fan about yeah I think so he's played amazing this year the universe by Jordan Billington is just unbelievable listening by the way he's from Toronto which when you are on he's like Ontario ball that you see the Betty made with Justin Bieber another Canadian yeah when I needed what did you I was actually surprised seeing beware play hockey like I didn't the first time I saw the plane he was at the all star in a lake couple years ago and he was amazing is there any chance he scores and Jordan bidding ten I know I'm a good habit will he went through and how many times you have to take this because of a I don't know what a good hockey player he could do it yeah I. P. plays a lot he plays a lot anyway like you put your he's got the pros can't score many to no one's ever swimming unless he starts singing and distracts him with his singing performance and then shoots may be but not where you're really lucky yeah I said the the the is very unlikely that happens in the end I really hope this doesn't happen Jordan would have to like trip over his stick accidentally and even then beaver would have to have enough lock to get over him in all honesty I think he'll probably let the last one in July it is I made a bet with our sister station plays just in a five way over wins that bat between Bieber in Bennington the loser has to write a love letter that the or the winner gets write a love letter that the loser reads on camera to the respected person so if just be friends of winning this one after perform in read a love letter he writes that I'm gonna give to just in the run of the mill favor all translated to Russian redid it right hi so as your report here you know I'm I'm just curious when it comes to the network that you report for what kind of things do they like what kind of material or content are they looking for you guys as a just locker room interviews or is there anything more that they like to to hear from you guys from my experience with the actually not as interested about the game the stats and everything else they all about the outside so if it pertains to hockey like if somebody like of each unit approaching a let's say Gretzky or whoever's next Gordie Howe the the it's hockey but yet it's not about the gate and what's happening now or a lot of times we do interviews about Hey I saw on Instagram you'll like Ben Aaron and Barack your party on a boat or so the sync it with his family was some vacationing somewhere so we always try to get a more on the personal this people want to get to know the guy personally yeah they see him on the ice they know how he plays they don't need to know he is sixty goals they can look up on.

"Builder we bring in Fox Sports Midwest analyst Derren paying to talk about the blues big weekend but tanker let's first start with the breaking news earlier today that the blues and forward Vladimir Tarasenko are going to be a part for a little while terracing because going to undergo surgery on his left shoulder tomorrow Doug Armstrong announced and tear single be reevaluated in five months that's at least five months that is a tough blow for the team devastating blow there's no question about it because the you know the St Louis blues team that the work you download the grind you out their goals don't come easy and when you got a player like Vlady who can single handedly ignite a game just with one flick of the wrist and you don't make up for a player like that is that very few of them in the league and so yeah this is this obviously is is real tough news now if I'm going to go to the the optimistic news is that they're being proactive and you know working on this right now and in five months to be reevaluated you know looking ahead anyway that could be middle of April worry we're talking the playoffs starting and you could have a fresh body by the time that happens that's actually a good way to look at it is that he would be ready for the playoffs if all goes well in the meantime this is an obvious question but who needs to step up and fill that scoring well you know right now is that that's a prime opportunity you don't break up the rhino Riley and David crime tandem because they're just they're just too good together it could leave an opening you know for a player like like a semi Blake they have some offense of instinct but certainly is never proven it here at the NHL level so you not seen let's just say it's Amy play or Robby Fabbri and told him in that line I mean none of them of scored thirty five goals and the NHL's and they're not snipers like flat it but maybe you can get a different dimension up there and in the meantime if you look ahead to let's say a couple of months from now if you look at the crystal ball you know maybe one of the best natural scores in the in the program for the St Louis blues is Jordan Cairo who's coming back from his injury and went back last year to the American hockey league and played really really well put up a point a game and certainly I'm not saying that he could come up here and do that but it's something you have to think about which player has a natural talent to to to do that you know the the other part of it is that this team just keeps grinding away and doing what they do best I mean Swarts and and and she and the you know they've been a good tenant together maybe that right spot just as an alternate in swap wait there maybe some days you need Alexander Steen up there maybe some days you need a little bit of speed and maybe Robby Fabbri gets up there and I think for Craig ruby they're gonna have to be creative and wrapped it up put together the best line up with the best combination based on what team they're playing against hanger I was a top golf yesterday watching your game blues and red wings blues had a nice lead I was having a good time having an adult beverage in the few golf balls I looked up well with the lead slip to play what the world happened with the blues ended up winning that game five four in overtime crazy game in Detroit it was a crazy game I hope I hope you kept all the golf balls inside the ropes over there I did I was fine well good for you yeah it was it was one of those games that I thought at the beginning you know it could be the scheme because you come off the game in Boston where you know a lot more anticipation I mean everybody in Boston he soon isn't names were were thrown out there on the up he announcer started in goal Jordan painted blue there was just a good good atmosphere there in Boston and you know when the game was a hard game news you know who sees who's one of those playoff style games in and then did you turn around play team that's lost seven in a row but but they are young they are fast they are naive you know into the attic and and so up to nothing that I doubt that the blues is kind of slept on that a little bit and bang just like that the red wings came out and so I hope we didn't disturb your top golfer your swing but they I was really excited to do the game and I told the guys that on the plane afterwards they said you know what it made for an exciting hockey game in our business of being on TV is is entertainment as well and I thought it had some great flow to the game and great drama and fit for the boys to conduct recapture and bring it back and and and when it was very important for them because of four three loss would have been absolutely demoralizing but to come back and and we didn't get the two points I I think so to a lot of character from the fellas no did and you know I I'd love to the weekend of sports but on Saturday there was so much going on but hearing doc Emrick calling the blues and the Bruins and see hearing him described the play and seem to be on the ice and all the stuff I started getting the old feelings back in the Stanley Cup final I mean I know just the loss was disappointing three to nothing but my gosh it was nice to just to relive that one more time you know it was I couldn't wait to get down there because you know doc and and named Brian Boucher Mike no we were doing the game national which is odd too by the way our Saturday night we don't we don't often have games taken from my son box which would by by NBC sports network on a on a Saturday night so that was a rarity but what I end and I happen to play golf that afternoon because we weren't working so as John cal and I came into the bill and I said I just want to go in the in the in our locker room and that's what I did right away I went into our locker room with the players jumped on the ice I want to look around at an empty locker room and remember what it was like when the players were popping champagne and I I remember looking up in that the tiles the hanging feeling those tiles were falling down they were so soaked there is beer and champagne coming down from the ceilings and the place was a mess and that was my memory as we lost that empty locker room last year and in June and I want to go back and see what it was like and if it wasn't the same but but it brought back a really great memory to just to just to look around and observe during Pang is with us how do they take it to that here again how do you get that edge back the fuel to get back to a Stanley Cup run it's such a long season it is a long season I think you've got to be careful about that it's I think it's it's about staying in the game I think it's about revving up your game against the best teams I think that's why last year I I always had this in the you know this confidence underlined conference because we know what home the blues didn't play very well but they go on the road in the B. Winnipeg you know one nothing they beat Colorado to one or three to a hard game they've gone all the top billing and when and so I always had that this team can turn it up against the bass now they lost against the worst sometimes it was quite embarrassing for them to lose weight loss on home ice last year so I I do believe that being able to grind it and eight AM to throw your system in place and have everybody on board like the way the blues played against Colorado they didn't play their best game against Boston there's some moments where was it the game was good but I think when your by defending Stanley Cup championship team you you know what gear to go to to play against the best ninety that's we got a look for as the season goes on if you start getting beat real bad by really good teams then you go whoa these guys aren't able to turn it on but the blues definitely have about I've been they've got about fifteen different beers in them and I think they can turn on whatever they need to turn on I agree and they've proven and that's for sure what about the goaltending take a look if you would each goal tender and evaluate their performance so far Jordan Bennington and Jake Allen yeah I know I I do believe we would have seen Jake al last night but he'd been keeping really hit hard by a by a flu bug there was one of the games that he wasn't on the bench for at least a period of it and you know at the time I didn't think much about that a lot of times the goal is to go back and watch it with the video culture whatever but so so bad that it aside I think that would be more fair assessment to think of Jake was playing last night in Jordan didn't have to turn around in twenty hours and play another game but I do believe that the the goal training has been for me it's been okay the hardest part to really assess Jake he in a lot of why there was a lot of you know there's a funny game but he end up making some great saves to get a win that he gave up a bad goal on home ice that sucked the life out of the T. my thought but then he made some great saves so I think he's he's unlockable right now if you don't I mean just because you haven't played enough and I do believe that that Jordan Billington's concentrations or in some moments has not been a plus including last night and and that's that I think that's an area of Hey there's gonna be some years that he's going to have to get to so but I I think I think he's been okay and and and I know there's a lot there's a lot better from him but I think the judging from last year Tom that's going to be impossible to do because I was just such an incredible role so that's that's kind of where I'm at right now yeah and it's the fourth time now that they've won a two goal lead slip away so it's not just goaltending it's a little bit of everybody yes it certainly is and that's a big that's a disturbing fact and that's one that you know I I I I know that it's early in the year and what you don't want to over blow that but clearly it's it's it's something that the the blues players to coach the manager they don't like that and in times like that when you're doing that that's when the goaltender have to come up with something superlative just to keep your back into the momentum for the game Wednesday's game is on NBC sports network with Darren Pang always on Fox Sports Midwest with the analysis along side John Kelly the Wednesday game is the blues in the wild at enterprise center at seven o'clock we love these.

"Hundred forty third birthday to the USA welcome back late night Eric along with Stevie T. he's gonna hang around until at ten o'clock he was in for maxi I got a lot of flags here in the WCCO studios at the big TV monitors on we're watching baseball of course that that that's part of the fourth of July Stevie T. I mean baseball just does lock stock and barrel with this summer holiday that we all love yeah in this this is a time of year were base is Paul really takes center stage because NBA free agencies in the rear view mirror a lot of the big moves have been made in the NHL in a once upon a time Ryan Suter Zach Parise yet a fourth of July sign monster contracts with the Minnesota wild it and I kid about that from time to time but the length of those deals you do at the tail end of the deals they they were gonna turn ugly or it's going to be you got a hard cap in the NHL and eventually these guys are gonna get long in the tooth that are not going to be as productive that are going to gobble up a ton of your salary cap and that's starting to play out moving forward no I'm not saying that Ryan Suter reside Parisi our core door the you know they can't play anymore but then I could get more productive that they're not going to get more jobs they're they're they're not going to score more goals we're not gonna be able to log more minutes that were on the other side of that so it is it is a big day and I think while fans are reminded where this franchise was headed up until that moment it wasn't good and the the lives the pres in cedar siding even the long term years ten eleven twelve thirteen of those deals are going to be painful Hey if you don't realize that they're going to be painful they're gonna be painful for the wild it's gonna be hard but at that moment in time it was a brilliant business move by Greg Leopold to get those guys to come in here because a re energize our franchise now they want a lot of playoff series with Ryan Suter anzac Parisi no they put their name on the Cup no but at the time it was a great great business move yeah there were there was nobody at the time I remember it vividly it was a scorching hot July fourth day and I was walking my dog at the time and I I looked at my phone and all of a sudden news amen the late great cool yeah Kobe but the body was a good one yeah all he had that fifty thousand Akbar yes and whatever I was looking to stick it whenever I gave you a call and you were at home he would start barking that's three god you know I nicknamed him because when he could bark he'd like to get the attention you like to let you know he was in the room but the light three I I don't I do remember that walk with with Kobe and all of a sudden I get one tax saying they're gonna get Zach Parise either good that that rumor had been floating around that that's huge because the franchise was in a run at the time and I think the team of nineteen thousand all those fanatical wild followers who flocked to the Xcel energy center I think they were ready to maybe spend their money elsewhere and then we were told Ryan Suter was part of that deal and you're like wow they just landed to plumb free agents but when I saw thirteen years I knew that was something that may bite them down the road in and so I don't second guess the move Craig Leopold had to do something he knew it but they haven't gotten the bang for the Buck that they like and you're exactly right those guys I believe have peaked so they now have to surround them with better talent how do you do that the NHL and a hard cap we I mean if they're trying with you know mats Zuccarello and Ryan Hartman a couple of wingers they signed this week in NHL free agency but I don't know how much those guys move the needle yeah and here's the thing about the Minnesota wild going forward and then you look at those deals in a hard cap league where you can't expect in the next five or six years of a life for these contracts the cap to move a thon and the other owners are not going to give them relief in Souderton Parisi are going to retire and leave that money on the table that's the challenge going forward it is what it is it's a hard cap police it's not a luxury tax deal you can't go over that it's not like the NBA words kinda wink wink wink we're gonna sign lebron and and Davis and we're gonna find a way to make Kawhi Leonard work can get other guys to play in the Buss family are just going to write the luxury tax check or in M. L. B. were there is a luxury tax and teams trying standard but if you need to we'll go over it and the Yankees the red Sox and the cubs or the Dodgers will write that check you can't do that in the NHL the NFL is another week they're adamant about the salary cap it is what it is that's it sorry if you can give players to renegotiate your stock and I can't imagine breezy and Souter are gonna go back to the drawing board and renegotiate these deals I'm not even sure the player's union would allow him to do it I don't know the rules and all of that but once again you don't not not to be you know too much of a naysayer on the fourth of July about the Minnesota wild but it is a big anniversary for the franchise you know Devin you follow the steam closely I mean then the reality is that's a huge chunk of your cap yeah but I do think if you want to land to marquee players like that you're gonna have to fork over that contract yeah do you agree what I don't think you're gonna see that anymore link I don't think the other owners were happy that I I think they were trying to circumvent did we appoint they were trying to do I I I I think I can't speak for the other owners but it seems to me that deal circumvented a gentleman's agreement or we don't do that owners generally in sports don't want to hand out those kind of contracts I I just don't think you're gonna see I mean look at the NFL on the flip side Kirk cousins I mean it was a mind boggling three year guaranteed contract I think about a brutal together in the NHL's a tough game as well you know hard hits every night career ending injuries but the cousins thing he's coming up on year two of what was a ground breaking deal thirteen a I I think a Bobby bone meal once upon a time with them he's still getting check out one point three million the other day he will get that check until twenty thirty four good job New York Mets well and here's the thing job Bobby bony our agent wherever you are you in the NHL when they signed suitor in Parisi that hard cap we're talking about basically was the same then as it is now this is a league not flush with the TV money that the N. B. A. M. L. B. and especially the NFL gets the NFL's cap has consistently gone up over the years so teams can work around that in the NBA I think the cap is almost a myth I mean the way they you know creatively get the salaries to these guys and bring a man they are getting more TV money baseball doesn't have a capsule to move point so I think in the NHL you have to be very careful how you spend your money how you write your checks and here's the other thing I wonder about the wild I don't want to see what you guys think of this in a job of else you didn't want to come here Phil Kessel next to trade a while back this is a good one well my point is though do people want to come here because we know they don't really want to come play for the Minnesota Timberwolves that's been evident over the years are the while becoming the NHL's version of the timber wolves you wouldn't think that would be possible here in the land of ten thousand frozen lakes but I don't know if this is a destination franchise I don't it might be within the next few years are not a destination franchise but I think once this team gets back to being you know a shoe in for the playoffs will that happen in the other thing is think about it the Minnesota wild have never hosted a new year's day outdoor game yeah that's odd because NBC doesn't think they're gonna get the eyeballs that's the real reason they haven't earned yeah I want it it's a star power thing I mean how many I mean we we follow the team closely to state a hockey all of that we're locked into it I get all of that but how many of marquee players players are really move the meter have they had you know how many guys have the while heather bring you to the edge of the seat Marion gabber and that's really my point Marion gabber I mean beyond that if they had that transitional player and I was like all right all of trees I know they don't grow on trees that you know not everyone can have you know a booming slap coming down to the river slabs of them yeah I go is you know they can have the Steven Stamkos to Connor McDavid that type of transitional talent I get that but the wild over there correct and that goes back to the signing of pres in sooner on the fourth of July once upon a time there was a choice there Parisi in sooner once again we're brilliant business decisions what were they great hockey decisions because the results are to this point in time they've had very limited playoff success with Parisi in sooner in the full very limited they were not a playoff team could they return to the sixteen team tournament sure you never know how it's going to play out but they've had limited playoff success that's all I'm saying great business decision at that point in time but the other decision at that moment in time was okay maybe now we choose to bottom out we choose to let it bottom out and maybe we put ourselves in a position to get one of those transitional talents but ultimately moved me a pure goal scorer how many of those of the wild had in their existence in my opinion pure goal scorers one Merion gabber Bassett no no you're right and here's the other thing when you think about the kind of money doled out to Parisi in suitor that would seem to equate into guys who are yearly all stars Zach Parise he's been an all star once and Ryan Suter just three times so these are not there don't don't cram their good look really good but we're not creme de la creme players in the league look at the wild last year they're all star was Devin do better and I also think the while they're not gonna go deep in the post season unless they get a lights out goalie I think Duke Nick is good office but he's not Jordan Bennington he's not Jonathan quick a few years ago he's not Corey Crawford a few years ago I think you have to have that kind of Karass no no yeah no no no my point who knows of Jordan Billington will be you know the same day well you know we got a cop he's got a ring Zachary but we have Brent burns lobule forget he is kind of a transitional that's what I mean especially a defense and a goal score but right now I think the while they're stuck in the worst position possible in sports we're just an average yeah so you're both called no man's land man's that so you're not going to get one of those high draft picks you might you know make it to the playoffs but get bounced the first round so it is and you're not able to move breezy or sooner it all has all contracts known no one's going to touch those guys and once again the really good players but they're not great players are not transitional players they're not players that move the meter once again they fill the building you know how many times it's it was the team of eighteen thousand there regularly getting nineteen thousand Eric you follow stub hub in the secondary market they they don't have any problem selling tickets and selling beers and selling jerseys you go to a game you know and they they don't give those jerseys away what are they a hundred million dollars an hour more it is rare I mean you got a closet full of Devon I mean what are they go for the now I have a closet full of faith he's sure he's yeah well I tell you what hurts that look like jerseys and what I guess and they are all players that the most mornings on the team anymore you have a Brian Rolston Jersey I have a I have the.

"I mean just like really every day, there's something, there's well, he's narrowed his interest to the Lakers, we might go back and reunite with LeBron and New York, which could be Madison Square Garden becomes mostly. I mean, everyday firing agent changing, you know seriously. I, I don't read anything into, I don't know what it means because only some guys like kyri Irving, and you don't have to be a trillionaire. You just be a guy, you could be in any profession and some people just have to be doing something and everytime, he does something, I'm not gonna waste time trying to read into it figuring out his mind. So he'll sign somewhere. He'll sign somewhere for one hundred forty million dollars, I guess, or more. He'll be unhappy within six weeks of signing that contract. So who knows? But it is. Said that he's gonna go Jay Z's firm, which I believe is rock name wrong nation, if he doesn't wanna get in a beyond say video than I assume they've got ties to the nets. And so this is a good sign for the nets the nets. But again, I think you've come to my side of the street on Kyrie Irving that there's always something. He's not happy. It's not happy always something that Parfitt sure Saint Louis blues proved yet again. What a fabulous road team. They are. They got two goals in the first period. They got two more in the third, it was four nothing. And at that point, it was all we'll what are your thoughts on game seven what this means the Saint Louis into the NHL Jordan Bennington is my only thought on game seven. I mean, the Bruins should've in my opinion to nothing why weren't they Jordan Bennington. Now, I know people going to say to Iran didn't do to rest to me in my where thinking, Tony Eddie Olczyk told us that he didn't think he would give up soft goals or give it three or four. Yeah he did. But I didn't think any of them were soft. I didn't think it was to blame to harass about Jordan Billington was better. And in that sports only one player that player goaltender can can disproportionately affected impact the outcome of any game at anytime and he series at anytime against anyone Jordan Bennington. And by the way, Tony, maybe this will give some fresh light to the NHL whose ratings of, you're ship way test chip you to Boston, 'cause I always think original six, you know, when it's Boston Rangers, the Blackhawks Canadian Toronto, which had been for a while for them and Detroit, it always helps. But goodness, I think Saint Louis really carried some of the freight this time just to amplify that a little bit. The overnight ratings were the highest in hockey since nineteen seventy four and they're up. No ratings are up on ratings aren't up. Nobody's ratings are ever up and hockey's rating went way up with that in terms of the game. And I did watch. Two periods or period and a half. Anyway. The, the goal for Saint Louis would seven point nine seconds land..

"Their profit, which is fine. That's what every business does. And again, at least they're, they're somewhat honest about it. But it's hard to get excited about the team at times like this, when it feels like they really aren't trying to win a SuperBowl. Yeah. No. I, I don't want to say there. I'm not trying to win it, but they certainly yes. Make some head scratching moves and we all question. Maybe how the organization is run in general. I mean, it seems almost on a on a yearly basis really chances are the Bengals will be one of the twelve teams when we fail to PET dirty dozen right after this. Your NBC sports radio update starts now Jon Stashower the last time the Saint Louis blues where the Stanley Cup finals nineteen seven and the only reason they were there. "Identification in conjunction with NBC sports. This is Westwood One. Your home for the Stanley Cup playoffs. Jordan, Bennington of the Blue's already ten wins going for number eleven today's the tenth rookie to win ten in there. I only coupla let's have one goalie cop to another. Here's Darren Pang. Well, thanks very much in Jordan eleven to now following a loss in the regular season and the playoffs looking at it, what were some of the keys that you think of it as a goaltender to bouncing back. I think it's just about preparing the same way in that adds up to some consistency. And I mean that's important at this level, just you got to move on and have a short memory and win or lose. You know, it's a new day the next day and things can happen. So I just got to be prepared for that moment. We say that after a goal given up, and that's kind of an automatic thing where you can just delete it and move on. But after a native thinking about things did you go over a lot of things. What you did how the game went you beat yourself up that way. Or did you just eliminate it right away? And just just really truly move on like that. Sometimes they're laying in bed with your eyes closed. And you can think about certain moments in a game and stuff you might want back, but. You know, I just somehow just forget about it, I guess, and kind of move on and try to enjoy the next day. Okay. So what about the good things you sit sitting when you're line? And you're thinking things, are you a positive imagery guy where you're looking, and you think about the good moves that good saves the, the good things that happen. Yeah. It's kind of like the garden double-faults thoughts right on your shoulder. And you got to kind of outweigh the, the negative thoughts with the positives. And that's what I try to do a lot of time. And, you know, I just try to stay positive and stay focused and keep preparing the same way during your runs in major junior and we had some good ones. Did you ever go this long? Yeah. Well we won the won the championship one year and went to the memorial Cup. So we had a long run there, and it was a lot of fun. And I'm still in touch with a lot of players from there to this day. So it's a special time and you create a lot of good memories. So hoping similar similar here. Well, I know something that's probably not similar as the cameras all over the place. And I'm watching in the locker room when. You're getting yourself ready? The first time there's a camera there watching, you get ready. Was that odd the first time the cameraman was on the ice as you're getting ready before the anthem? Let me put a some of those things, and some of the adjustments in your life, and how you've been able to handle that kind of stuff. Yeah. It's cool. It's really cool ons. You know it's an incredible league and very professional. And you know, it's just well run, so it's exciting and with all the media attention around you. It makes it fun and makes it exciting for the fans the people around you in the city. So I'm just trying to enjoy day by day and it's been pretty special when you were a kid. Did you always want to be a goalie or your Ford at one point I started off as a forward? But my dad told me a story the other day about how I became a goalie golden, I guess I wanted to do it. He wasn't so. Sure. And he just I guess, caved and allowed me to be a goalie. So it means the weren't scoring very many goals. Yeah. I guess so. Jordan. Thank you for doing this really appreciate it. Good luck in rate here in San Jose series. All knotted up should be good when Darren Pang with Jordan Billington. He and the Blue's looking to go to seven two on the road in these playoffs a win today, and they are one win from their first final since one thousand nine hundred seventy when they faced the Boston Bruins after one period in San Jose. The blues lead, the sharks, one to nothing sports and Westwood One. This is the National Hockey League. Together,.

I thought we had our chances. We're aware at their late in the game. And this, you know, Paul Mary scores all it's the in the confident.
